Best known for playing games like PlayerUnknown\u2019s Battlegrounds (PUBG) and H1Z1, The Doc was taking a hiatus from streaming when Fortnite Battle Royale truly started to blow up. The massively popular title from Epic Games is yet another Battle Royale game that has risen to prominence in recent years, but its unique gameplay and building mechanics have seen it surpass all competition in 2018. Dr DisRespect has tried to come to terms with the new phenomenon since returning to streaming in February but he is rarely able to last more than a few hours before his frustrations with the game reach boiling point. Dr DisRespect made it clear that he doesn\u2019t understand the hype surrounding Fortnite, calling it an \u201coverrated mess\u201d and hinting that he believes there is a lot of \u201cphoneyness\u201d from people claiming to enjoy it. \u201cThis game is a fucking overrated mess. Get me off of it, I\u2019m bored to death playing that game. I\u2019m playing this tournament and that\u2019s it. That game is, that game is fucking terr- like how is that game popular? I don\u2019t get it! I mean I get it, 7 year olds, 8 year olds and \u2018whoop de do, doop de do\u2019, but MAN, I am not into it. I try to be, alright? I think there\u2019s a lot of phoneyness involved around that game. A lot of phoneyness around that game, I\u2019ll tell you that! Presumably the comments about \u201cphoneyness\u201d are directed towards other content creators and streamers who the Doc believes are exaggerating how much they enjoy Fortnite compared to other games. He does have his moments where he enjoys the Epic Games title but, more often than not, this reaction is the more common one.
