Epic Games boss reveals his word for next Fortnite season\u2019s theme Mark Rein was asked via Twitter\/X: \u201cIf you had one word to describe next season, what would it be?\u201d To which the co-founder responded, \u201cMy word for Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 is: Wings.\u201d With the theme already being rumored to center around Greek Mythology, it has led to many players racking their brains on what this could mean and how the two could link. Various players threw around suggestions. The most popular was the idea that different mythological creatures and gods could feature. These included: \u201cPegasus,\u201d griffins,\u201d \u201cIcarus\u201d \u201cHermes,\u201d \u201cIris,\u201d \u201cdragon,\u201d and many more. This was further backed up by the popular creator and leaker HYPEX. They posted an image of a Griffin in response to their reported leak from September 2022, which revealed that Epic was working on \u201crideable flying animals.\u201d The original leak further stated that players would \u201cbe able to Boost & Idle\u201d and \u201cmost likely\u201d use a Saddle item on them. Whether or not this is what is coming remains unknown, but it would certainly shake up the Battle Royale Island.
