FaZe Clan suspend Fortnite star Dubs for using racial slur FaZe ClanEsports organization FaZe Clan have suspended Daniel \u201cDubs\u201d Walsh after the Fortnite pro used a racial slur on stream. FaZe made the announcement On Feb 29 after a clip that appeared to show Dubs using a racial slur during another player\u2019s stream surfaced and starting making the rounds online. The clip was uploaded to Reddit on and a few hours later on February 29 the esports org announced they had \u201csuspended Dubs indefinitely from representing Faze Clan while in professional competition, streaming, or posting on his social channels.\u201d A statement from FaZe Clan regarding Dubs. pic.twitter.com\/0lSlUEL5J7 \u2014 FaZe Clan (@FaZeClan) February 29, 2020 \u201cWe are requiring Dubs to go through sensitivity training and proactively requiring all FaZe Clan members to go through sensitivity training immediately,\u201d Faze added. Dubs is a well-known Fornite player and streamer, who Placed 15th in the World Cup 2019 Solo Finals, and 7th in the Duo Finals with his teammate Megga, also of FaZe. The Fortnite star, who was first signed by Faze in May of 2019, posted an apology to his Twitter just before his team announced the suspension. \u201cI can\u2019t even describe how sorry I am,\u201d the young pro wrote. \u201cI did not intend to be hurtful in any way but what I said was still hurtful, insensitive, and wrong.\u201d \u201cThe word shouldn\u2019t have been in my vocabulary and I apologize from the bottom my heart to everyone I offended by using it,\u201d he continued. \u201cYou deserve better\u201d I can\u2019t even describe how sorry I am. Back in 2019 Erik \u2018Bloodx\u2019 Guttormsen \u2018parted ways\u2019 with esports org Eleven Gaming after allegations he also used a racial slur, though in that case it wasn\u2019t captured on stream.
