One of the major ways that Epic Games has been able to have the success they’ve had with Fortnite is the ability to keep the battle royale title topically. While it has it’s own in-game seasons, real-life events are taken into account and delivered in the form of skins, challenges, or even full-blown parts of the map. We’ve already seen Fortnite deliver it’s first long holiday-themed event back in season seven, and with Chapter 2 in full swing, the winter period is coming back to the battle royale island. German Fortnite content creator Hey Stan noted that shipment of Christmas decorations had arrived at Dirty Docks back on November 21. “The Christmas delivery is there in Dirty Docks,” he tweeted. Hidden inside some of the containers are Christmas trees already dressed in lights, while others have small wooden carvings that have lightbulbs on as well. Of course, these are harvestable for wood so if you don’t find them at Dirty Docks quickly, you may lose out on seeing them. As of writing, there haven’t been any hints about a possible weather change to snow, however, we could be getting some fog at the very least. Reddit user Romulousvoid noted in the FortniteBR subreddit that using epic setting in replay mode would show a bit of fog. However, some fans stated that it could have just been an error. “Don’t they use fog in Sneaky Silencers LTM? Could be a bug,” asked ShortSonic01. We know that the first season of Fortnite Chapter 2 will be extended for the holiday period and there will also be a live event with new content rolled out – likely similar to 14 Days of Fortnite. However, it remains to be seen as to what else the developers have in store for fans across the end of December.

First Fortnite Chapter 2 holiday event decorations discovered in-game The first decorations for Fortnite’s Holiday event have begun landing on the battle royale island – and more will be on the way.
