The former Halo teammates beat out the defending champion FaZe Clan pro duo of Turner \u2018Tfue\u2019 Tenney and Dennis \u2018Cloak\u2019 Lepore in the Grand Final to claim the $10,000 grand prize. Coming from the Losers Bracket, Ninja and Hysteria had to win two matches in the Grand Final, while the Winners Bracket winning FaZe duo had to only win one. In the first match, FaZe took a one kill lead after game one, but superb performances from both Ninja and Hysteria in game two gave them a 42-32 kill victory, resetting the bracket and forcing a second match. They were able to close things out in the second game as both FaZe players were shockingly eliminated very early and thus could not overcome the deficit. The victory gave Ninja and Hysteria their first ever Friday Fortnite championship, and allowed Ninja to exact his revenge against the very same opponents he had lost to in the Grand Final of Week 3. Week 8 also marked the first time that Tfue and Cloak had lost in a Grand Final as they had been a flawless 3\/3 in previous attempts.
