Fortnite at IEM Katowice: Tfue, Vivid, Cloak headline $600,000 ESL Katowice Royale Epic Games is partnering with ESL, one of the world\u2019s biggest esports event organizers, to host a $600,000 Fortnite tournament, featuring some of the biggest names in the game. The likes of FaZe Clan\u2019s Turner \u2018Tfue\u2019 Tenney and Dennis \u2018Cloak\u2019 Lepore, Team Liquid\u2019s Noah \u2018Vivid\u2019 Wright and Ryan \u2018Chap\u2019 Chaplo have already been confirmed, with more to be announced. The tournament will be a duos event, with a total of $500,000 up for grabs in prizing, which will played for between the best players and top influencers, on March 1 \u2013 3. There will also be a separate Polish Edition of the event with its own $100,000 prize pool, with only the top Polish players and influencers competing. IEM Katowice is ESL\u2019s \u2018flagship\u2019 event, best known for its prestigious CS:GO tournaments, with the first CS:GO Major of 2019 being held at the ICC in Poland\u2019s scenic city of Katowice. For the first time, competitive Fortnite will make its appearance at an IEM event, a major milestone in the development of Fortnite esports. Fans attending the event live will also be able to compete for cash and material prizes on the 100 PC\u2019s and 100 PS4\u2019s provided in the 2,500 m\u00b2 area at the Expo. For those not attending in person, the event will of course be streamed online \u201cacross various live broadcasts\u201d. \u201cESL, the world\u2019s largest esports company, and Epic Games today announced that they are joining forces to bring the game that took the world by storm to ESL\u2019s flagship event.
