However, after weeks of speculation and leaks about a possible earthquake event in Fortnite, cracks have recently surfaced in a number of popular destinations. While some people will still be guessing about what the new map is set to look like in the near future, after the quake, one player thinks they\u2019ve seen it first due to an in-game bug. User Jmayer219 posted a short video to the Fortnite BR subreddit which seems to show a very different map made available to the user for a split second, before jumping into Battle Royale. Whether or not this is the first glimpse of the Season 8 map remains to be seen, but this player certainly thinks it could be. \u201cMy game lagged for a second and showed the possible season 8 map,\u201d the user posted. Other users, though, are more skeptical. \u201cThat\u2019s just gonna be end of Season 7,\u201d one explained. \u201cIf it were Season 8 there\u2019d be a lot more change and the challenge pianos wouldn\u2019t be on the map on the first week.\u201d \u201cI think it may be last day of season 7,\u201d another said. \u201cI doubt they would put the season 8 map in the files before it\u2019s release.\u201d With Season 8 just around the corner, fans won\u2019t have to wait much longer to find out what changes will be made to Battle Royale.
