Fortnite: How to complete the Day 8 challenge and Reward \u2013 14 Days of Fortnite [UPDATE] UPDATE \u2013 December 26, 2018 (1pm EST) Hours after the Day 8 challenge went live, Epic Games announced that the \u2018Take the Elf\u2019 emote had been delayed until 2019 for most players. With Christmas over, it\u2019s time to refocus on the 14 Days of Fortnite challenges, and day 8 is already upon us \u2013 tasking you to \u2018damage opponents with different weapons.\u2019 There\u2019s been some difficult tasks so far in 14 Days of Fortnite, such as flying planes through golden rings, or collecting goose eggs from nests hidden around the waterside on the map. Thankfully, the Day 8 challenge is a lot easier \u2013 in fact, it may just be the easiest challenge so far in the 14 Days of Fortnite event. All you need to do is damage opponents with eight different weapons \u2013 that\u2019s it, just one hit of damage will give you progress. It means that you can probably complete this challenge in only a single match, as long as you remember to cycle out different weapons. Also, weapon \u2018rarity\u2019 doesn\u2019t count as a completely separate weapon, only weapon types (i.e. AR\/SMG\/Sniper etc.) You may want to land somewhere quiet if you are hoping to complete the challenge in one match \u2013 loot up, and remember to switch your weapons in gunfights. Once you do so, you will be rewarded with a free emote \u2013 \u2018Take the Elf\u2019 \u2013 a holiday themed version of the classic \u2018Take the L\u2019, which you can see below. If you are busy of the holiday period and can\u2019t finish all the challenges in time, don\u2019t panic, as they will still be available after the 14 Days of Fortnite event is over, for a limited time.
