With the rejection of appeals by the Supreme Court earlier this month, the legal battle between Epic Games and Apple came to a close in the United States. On top of that, Apple demanded Epic pay them $73 million in compensation for civil damages. That being said, Fortnite\u2019s Item Shop offered their savage response against the tech giant. Although Epic Games had previously prevailed in a legal dispute with Google, they were disappointed not to have achieved the same result with Apple. Less than a week following the US case ruling, Apple has amended its policies for the European market to meet DMA regulations, allowing third-party developers to sideload apps and external stores on iOS devices. Eager to seize the chance, Epic has just revealed that Fortnite will be returning to iOS devices in Europe in 2024 and asked users to stay tuned for more details. Now that Fortnite is almost back on iPhone and iPad in EU regions, players in the US are thinking about making a move to Europe. Fortnite\u2019s EU return urges US players to \u201cleave for Europe\u201d Official Fortnite account posted on X that the game will return in Europe on iOS later this year through the Epic Games Store, in a similar way to how the game is available on Android devices. They further shouted out the DMA (Digital Markets Act) which is a new law in the EU market that has made sideloading possible on Apple devices. They ended their statement by firing back at Apple saying, \u201cThe world is watching\u201d and attached a Peely gif doing a similar action. While European users are thrilled about Fortnite\u2019s return on iPhones, US players are planning to make a move to Europe altogether to experience the same.
