Here’s everything you need to know about the campfires, Bottle Rockets and everything else included in the latest patch! A good amount of information relating to the v7.30 Content Update had already been revealed prior to its release on February 5, but we didn’t know anything for certain until the patch notes went live on February 5 at of 13:00 GMT (08:00 EST, 05:00 PST). This update follows on directly from the major v7.30 patch that was released on January 29. Bug fixes and changes to the way that the game plays will take more of a back seat this week as the developers concentrate on new content and yet another vaulting! What’s new? Campfires One thing we were certain of was that an all-new campfire item would be added to the game in the v7.30 Content Update, as announced by Epic prior to release. The general consensus was that the new campfires would work differently to Cozy Campfires and be linked in some way to unlocking a stage of the Snowfall skin. The notes went live on February 5, which provided us with the following information: Environmental Campfires Campfire props in the world can now be lit by interacting with them. – Behaves like the Cozy Campfire, healing 2 health per second for 25 seconds to all nearby players. – Each campfire can only be used once per match. – You can tell if a campfire has been used by whether or not you can still see wood in it. – Bottle Rocket The v7.30 Content Update also introduces the all-new Bottle Rocket, along with the following description: “Fire and forget! Light the fuse and watch a stream of rockets barrage enemy locations with this new item.” With Chinese New Year being celebrated on February 5, we wouldn’t have been surprised if the firework-like appearance of it was linked in some way to the special day, but no mention is made of it in the patch notes. Vaulted weapons and items The v7.20 Content Update saw the Quad Launcher, Grappler and Port-a-Fortress vaulted. The v7.30 patch followed on from this by vaulting the Bolt-action Sniper Rifle, Burst Assault Rifle, Heavy Shotgun and SMG! After two weeks of vaulted items, we weren’t expecting to see any weapons or items removed from the game in the v7.30 Content Update. How wrong we were, as the BoomBox has now been vaulted! Skins and cosmetics Other new content to look forward to, as always, will be skins and various other cosmetics. We’ll keep you updated once we know more! v7.30 Content Update patch notes The remaining patch notes for the February 5 Content Update are as follows: LIMITED TIME MODE: WILD WEST DUOS Note: We’ve begun testing a new schedule for Limited Time Modes. Playlists will rotate every couple of days to allow a more diverse amount of modes to be available over the course of a week. Summary Fight for a Victory Royale using a limited set of weapons and items, such as Hunting Rifles, Shotguns, and Dynamite. This town ain’t big enough for the hundred of us! What’s New? Increased the chance for Slurp Juice to appear in Supply Drops. – Unvaulted the Revolver and the Double Barrel Shotgun for this mode. – WEAPONS + ITEMS Vaulted BoomBox – – Reduced the chance of receiving rocket ammo out of ammo boxes from 12% to 6%. – Increased the impulse strength of the Launchpad by X%. – Reduced the chance to receive Dynamite from Chests from X% to Y%. – Sneaky Snowman will no longer drop from Chests. – Chiller Grenade Lowered the volume of the beep. – – EVENTS Architect Pop-Up Cup Removed the ability to edit enemy structures.
