In a semi-rematch of the Week Two Grand Finals, TSM defeated the former champions \u2018Typical Gamer\u2019 and \u2018SoaR Thief\u2019 in an action-packed, two-match Grand Final, taking home the whopping $10,000 first place prize. Having been relegated to the Losers Bracket early on after losing in the very first round, Myth and Hamlinz went on an incredible and pressure-packed run to make it to the Grand Final. There they met the Winners Bracket winners Typical Gamer and Thief, who had to win only one of two matches to secure the championship, while TSM needed to win two. It initially appeared that the Week Two champions would wrap things up in the first match, but a relentless push by TSM gave them the match win and reset the bracket. In the winner-takes-all second match, Typical Gamer and Thief grabbed a lead after the first game, but got eliminated very early on in the second game. Needing to get just four kills to win, Myth and Hamlinz took care of business, taking home their first Friday Fortnite championship. Members of FaZe Clan, Team SoloMid, The Sidemen, OpTic Gaming, 100 Thieves, and a host of other big YouTubers and Twitch streamers such as Ninja, Roman Atwood, Logan Paul, and even Canadian rapper and singer Tory Lanez all competed for a piece of the massive $20,000 prize pool. This week\u2019s tournament featured a major formatting change, as all of the Losers Bracket matches had to played in the new Blitz Mode V2, which is essentially a faster paced version of the regular Squads mode.
