There are plenty of challenges to keep players occupied in Fortnite, and one of the Avian Ambush Quests requires you to find a chicken and fly 20 meters with it in a single flight \u2013 which is easy to do once you know how to find them. Chickens might seem insignificant at first glance, but they\u2019re actually really useful in the right hands. With these feathered companions, you can make a quick escape and travel across the entire Fortnite map in no time at all. Contents Where to find chickens in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 1 Chickens spawn at random across the map, but these are the locations we\u2019ve managed to find them so far in Fortnite Chapter 3: Southwest of Greasy Grove. &#8211; Near the gas station west of Logjam Lumberyard. &#8211; At the center of the map, where Tilted Towers is currently covered by snow. &#8211; Over the river north of Rocky Reels. &#8211; Near the gas station south of Rocky Reels. &#8211; West of the Daily Bugle. &#8211; Chickens are one of the easiest animals to find in the wild in Fortnite Chapter 3, as there are plenty of them located around the Island. Still, it helps to know where to look so you don\u2019t waste time running around like a headless chicken. The map above highlights some of the most common spawn locations of chicken on the Fortnite Chapter 3: Season 1 map. It\u2019s not guaranteed that they\u2019ll always appear here in every match, but it\u2019s a good place to start. How to fly with a chicken in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 1 When you spot a chicken in the wild in Fortnite, your first job is to grab hold of it. They\u2019ll run away and change directions to try and throw you off. If you\u2019re fast enough, however, you\u2019ll be able to interact with it. With a chicken now held overhead, you\u2019ll notice a unique effect: Jumps are now much higher and longer as the chicken helps launch you off the ground. Using this trick lets you cover more distance than usual. To do this, we\u2019d recommend finding a tall cliff edge or building a ramp high up, then launching yourself off the edge. Fun fact: Chickens can also be used to open Vaults hidden around the map! Vaults usually require at least two people to access, but a chicken can be held to take the place of another person if you\u2019re playing solo.
