Stretched res become the standard in the game’s first chapter, without question, with the main benefits being that targets were larger to see and therefore easier to hit, as well as improved FPS for those on low powered PCs. Epic Games made a huge change back in April 2019 to ban the use of the feature in competitive modes, meaning that many pros and streamers decided to revert back to normal settings, although one player has found a way of getting around it. In a video uploaded to his YouTube channel on February 21, Kariyu walks through each step people have to take in order to pull it off on PC platform. There are quite a few steps to go through, as seen below and also in the video. Getting stretch resolution in Fortnite Season 2 Search for and enter the AppData folder on PC. – Select the Fortnite game, then Save, Config and Windows Client folders. – Locate the Game User Settings open that presents itself at the end. – Right-click that, hitting Properties at the bottom of the dropdown menu. – Uncheck the Read-Only setting in that menu. – Open Game User Settings and search for ‘ResolutionSizeX’ in the window. – Change all mentions of the 1920 resolutions to 1444. – Right-click on desktop, hit NVIDIA Control Panel and create a new resolution to match those changes – 1444 x 1080. – Launch Fortnite, click Creative and Launch. Cancel the Queue. – Launch Creative, go to Battle Pass, go to Agents and click Brutus. Watch the video. – Timestamp in the video below at 0:42. Tfue using the “demon” stretch resolution method This post from Kariyu has done the rounds on the internet, with over 127,000 views at the time of writing, and many Fortnite players have decided to give it a try since he posted the method – such as Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney. Tfue was playing Fortnite on February 23 and decided to give it a try. It didn’t take long, though before the former FaZe Clan player labeled it a “demon” resolution to play with. Whether or not more players will be giving the stretch resolution another go in Fortnite Season 2 remains to be seen, although it does seem unlikely as practicing with stretch res only to not be able to use it in competitive modes doesn’t seem to make too much sense. It did provide Tfue’s viewers with some nostalgia, though, as he used to play on stretch all of the time.

How to get stretched resolution in Fortnite Season 2 Epic GamesShooting players in Fortnite Battle Royale has typically been easier to do while players are using stretched resolution and finally somebody has found a way of doing it for Chapter 2 Season 2.
