First revealed on June 21, Fortnite Reload is a separate game mode, which brings notable OG POIs back to the game, allowing veteran players to reminisce the old times and those who just started playing a glimpse of what the game looked like in the past. It’s a lot more face-paced than its Battle Royale counterpart as it has a smaller map and different mechanics. Hence, it can be confusing if you’re not familiar with how things work in this mode yet. In this guide, we’ll explain everything you need to know including what it’s all about, how to play, as well as the list of weapons, and more. Fortnite OG Reload release date Fortnite Reload was released into Fortnite after the first Metallica concert live event finished, which took place on June 22, 2024, at 2 PM ET, and lasted around 20-30 minutes. The mode has been made available for all players to get their hands on and play. Despite this, Epic has not yet confirmed how long the Fortnite Reload mode will be available for and when it will end. What is Fortnite OG Reload? Fortnite Reload is a brand-new Battle Royale mode by Epic Games that gives players the chance to reminisce by playing on a new map with classic OG locations and weapons. It consists of 40 players battling out across 10 different squads in either a Zero Build or standard Battle Royale match to get a Victory Royale. However, Epic has switched it up by letting you and your teammates be able to constantly respawn during your matches as long as one member of your team stays alive on the island. To eliminate a team in Fortnite Reload, then every member of the team will need to be wiped out before any one of them has time to respawn. How to play Fortnite OG Reload To play Fortnite Reload, you will need to head to the main Lobby menu, select the Fortnite Reload mode in Discover, and hit the “Play” button to launch the OG mode. This mode currently has two versions of queuing between duos and squads, with players able to jump in with Fill or No Fill. Whether Fortnite will expand the mode by introducing solos and trios is unknown. All weapons in Fortnite OG Reload All the weapons you can use in Fortnite Reload have been unvaulted from previous seasons, including several from the first OG Chapter 1 seasons. Here are all the weapons and items you can get in Fortnite OG Reload: Unvaulted: Combat Pistol – Hand Cannon – Thunder Shotgun – Hunting Rifle – Combat Assault Rifle – Combat SMG – Shield Keg – Vaulted: Pistol – Mammoth Pistol – Ranger Shotgun – Heavy Shotgun – Lever Action Rifle – Hammer Assault Rifle – Twin Mag SMG – POI locations in Fortnite OG Reload There are 9 POI locations in Fortnite’s OG Reload mode, with three of them being OG Chapter 1 locations and the rest being remixes of classics from previous seasons. Here are all the POI locations in Fortnite OG Reload: Tilted Towers – Pleasant Park – Retail Row – Lone Lodge – Dusty Docks – Snobby Shoals – Lil’ Loot Lake – Lazy Laps – Sandy Sheets – How Reboot works in Fortnite OG Reload To Reboot you and your teammates in Fortnite Reload, you will need to make sure you have one person alive in your Squad during your matches. As long as this is the case, then your teammates will automatically Reboot and respawn after a time period has passed. Here’s exactly how Reboot works in Fortnite Reload: If a player is eliminated, their individual Reboot timer will begin and once this has finished they will respawn. – The Reboot timers will start at 30 seconds at the beginning of your matches and at later stages will increase to 40 seconds. – Your teammates can reduce Reboot timers, by 2 seconds for downing an enemy, 4 seconds for a full elimination, and 10 seconds for wiping out an entire team. – If you or your teammates are downed, but the Reboot timer has finished, then players are able to revive themselves straight away instead of waiting to be revived. – At the end of the match, all Reboots will be made unavailable, therefore teammates will be completely eliminated the same as in a typical match. – When a player is rebooted, they will spawn with a common Assault Rifle and 100 Wood (if Building is available). Alternatively, if a player is eliminated, they will drop Small Shield Potions, medium ammo, light ammo, shotgun shells, all their loot, and for Build only, 50 of each building material. How Storm works in Fortnite OG Reload As of August 27, 2024, the way storm works in Fortnite OG Reload has been adjusted. Now, the final two Storm Circles will begin earlier and shrink slower over a longer distance. This means that you’ll have less time to loot and prepare in the beginning and will have to rotate quickly if you want to avoid the storm damage. Additionally, the update has also made Storm Sickness to activate a lot faster, something that players aren’t happy about. Though in a post on X, it’s mentioned that the team will “continue to monitor Stormin Reload and ensure that things remain fun and action-packed.” So, there’s a chance this could get tweaked again in the future. Free Fortnite OG Reload rewards You can get 4 cosmetic rewards for free by completing several quests or earning a Victory Royale in Fortnite Reload. Here are all the Fortnite Reload rewards you can get and how to claim them all. When does Fortnite OG Reload end? Epic Games has not yet confirmed when Fortnite Reload will end or if the mode will be permanent. However, with it being an official Fortnite mode, it is therefore expected that the OG mode is here to stay for the time being as one of Fortnite’s main modes. Despite this, with it not being made clear by the developers, mass speculations have been spreading across the Fortnite community. In particular, players have been wondering what will be added in future content updates if Epic makes the mode permanent and some have even demanded a map feature from Warzone and Apex Legends. According to well-known leaker HYPEX via a post on X, Fortnite Reload is getting a ranked mode soon. As always, given that this is still a leak, keep this information with a grain of salt. It’s unknown when exactly this will arrive in the game, but we’ll keep you updated once more information is available.

How to play Fortnite Reload: All you need to know about the OG mode Epic GamesFortnite’s Reload mode offers a different experience from its Battle Royale counterpart, and here’s everything you need to know about it.
