The Pirate Cannons were added to the game following the release of the V8.0 update, which signaled the start of Fortnite Season 8 which made some massive changes to the map and weapon balancing. With the cannons, players are able to shoot cannonballs at other players and structures, while also being able to climb into the cannon and fire themselves out \u2013 traveling great height and distances in the progress. Yet, some are using it to put a new twist on an old favorite \u2013 by using the cannon to travel a little differently. In a post to the FortniteBR subreddit, user KrillinIsASaiyan demonstrated how, with a bit of timing and patience, players can ride the cannonballs across the map in the same way they were able to ride RPG rockets.
