YouTuber Daniel \u2018KEEMSTAR\u2018 Keem and online tournament hosts UMG have partnered up yet again to bring back the popular Friday Fortnite tournament series. After nearly a year hiatus, the Friday Fortnite competitions have returned, thanks to FaZe Clan and Ricky \u2018Banks\u2019 Banks donating $60,000 to fund the tournaments. Below, you can find everything you need to know about the next event, including the full schedule, list of players, the format, and more. When does Friday Fortnite begin? The next Friday Fortnite tournament is scheduled to take place on Friday, May 31, kicking off at 1 PM PT \/ 4 PM ET \/ 9 PM BST and expected to last for at least several hours. The tournament will be streamed live on UMG\u2019s official Twitch channel, which we will include below for your convenience. In addition, we will include some of the big-name players\u2019 individual streams at the bottom of this page. Watch live video from UMGEvents on www.twitch.tvWho will be playing in Friday Fortnite? Friday Fortnite has traditionally featured some of the biggest content creators and pro players from the online gaming community, and the May 31 running will be no different. The list of players includes prominent gaming figures like Ninja, and NICKMERCS, popular YouTubers such as RiceGum and MrBeast, and even non-gaming celebrities, like Torey Lanez and Akademiks. FaZe Clan\u2019s Tfue and Cloak, who have won Friday Fortnite more than any other duo, will not be competing this week, as Tfue is currently involved in a controversial lawsuit against FaZe, who, of course, are funding the tournament. Official Friday Fortnite bracket With all of the online qualifiers now wrapped up, the official bracket for the May 31 Friday Fortnite tournament has been finalized and revealed. This bracket will be update live throughout the day by UMG, so you will be always provided with the most current scorelines and matchups. What is the Friday Fortnite format? Although custom games are very much available in Fortnite Battle Royale, Friday Fortnite opts to go with a format that involves public matches. In each round, all of the teams matched up in the bracket will queue into a Squads lobby together, where they will then try and get as many eliminations as possible. Players who try and sabotage their opponents in-game could potentially face disqualification. Examples of sabotage include but are not limited to the following: Breaking or weakening opponent\u2019s built or non built structures or cover by any means. &#8211; Causing opponents to miss shots or miss opportunities for advancing their scores in any way shape or form. &#8211; Building in front of your opponent. &#8211; Boogie Bombing your opponent. &#8211; The use of a boogie bomb on your opponent at any point in the game are subject to disqualification &#8211; As for the $20,000 prize pool, $10,000 will be awarded between the winning team, while the remaining $10,000 will be given away by FaZe\u2019s Banks to one lucky viewers (details below).
