The host of DramaAlert expressed his displease with the fact that the Fortnite developers have apparently scheduled a massive tournament on the same day of his popular Friday Fortnite competition. When the Fortnite ‘Summer Skirmish’ series was first announced, Epic made it clear that their events would be held on Fridays and/or Saturdays. This prompted a disgruntled KEEMSTAR to change the date of the Friday Fortnite weekly tournament to Sundays starting on July 29, meaning that the competition would run on Fridays for at least a several more weeks. This hasn’t sat well with KEEM, who posted a video of himself on Twitter expressing his utmost displease at the lack of understanding and cooperation. “Yeah, I’m really disappointed at you guys over at Epic. So, I heard you guys are doing events on Fridays and Saturdays, so I moved Friday Fortnite to Sunday, starting the 29th. That would give you guys plenty of time to get these two Saturday events out. Then, last minute, you planned a Friday event for this Friday! Ok, well I’m sorry, but this is the last insult I’m going to take from y’all. I’m doing Friday Fortnite this Friday! I’m doing it at the same exact time that you’re doing your event, and I’m talking to all these YouTubers right now and they’re playing Friday Fortnite! So, this is what you get for not communicating with, not working with, and just being Epic. You be Epic, I’ll be KEEMSTAR.” A short while afterwards, KEEMSTAR spoke with Epic and posted an update on the situation. Just talked to @EpicGames communications need to be better in the future. Very big misunderstanding. Still running #FridayFortnite this Friday tho. The 29th we move to Sunday’s — KEEM (@KEEMSTAR) July 18, 2018 It remains to be seen which event the YouTubers and streamers that have been invited to both will choose to compete in, despite the large disparity between the two prize pools. According to esports insider Rod ‘Slasher’ Breslau, some content creators have already comfirmed that they will be playing in Friday Fortnite, while others are on the fence. With Epic’s tournament not yet officially announced, @KEEMSTAR will continue to run Friday Fortnite the same day as Epic’s event. Some will elect to play in FF, and pro players/streamers/youtubers are now split between the two. — Rod Breslau (@Slasher) July 18, 2018

Friday Fortnite Set to Clash With Epic Games’ $500K Summer Skirmish Tournament as KEEMSTAR Hits Out on Twitter YouTuber Daniel ‘KEEMSTAR’ Keem is not happy with Epic Games for their inconsistent tournament scheduling.
