May 31 saw the return of Daniel \u2018KEEMSTAR\u2019 Keem\u2019s Friday Fortnite tournaments, as a host of prominent streamers took to challenging one another. Ninja and Reverse were playing against SypherPK and HighDistortion in the Losers\u2019 Semi-Finals when the glitch happened. The duo had split up in an effort to maximize their kills, when Reverse was eliminated in Pleasant Park. Ninja came in to clean up the mess, and went to get his partner\u2019s \u2018Reboot Card\u2019. However, the card had glitched and was stuck in the ground, where it could not be recovered. \u201cI don\u2019t see your \u2013 dude you\u2019re in the ground,\u201d said Ninja. \u201cI can\u2019t, I can\u2019t. You\u2019re in the ground dude. You\u2019re literally in the ground I can\u2019t get you. I swear to God.\u201d Reboot Cards were added to the game on April 10, and allow players to respawn teammates who have been completely eliminated from games. The idea matches rival battle royale Apex Legends, which sees \u2018banners\u2019 dropped as teammates are eliminated, that can be taken to beacons to bring them back into the match. The tournament itself was a resounding success, with KEEMSTAR tweeting that tournament\u2019s return pulled in over 10 million unique viewers. It was won by NRG Esport\u2019s MrSavage and Benjyfishy, with Ninja and Reverse placing 3rd, but not before a controversial moment occurred.
