Ninja, like many other prominent content creators, has recently transitioned away from Fortnite in order to play other, newer titles. These include Valorant and Call of Duty: Warzone, both of which Blevins has streamed considerable amounts over the last few weeks. However, during an April 24 live stream, he made a return to Fortnite, but quickly grew frustrated with the state of the game after being eliminated by an opponent’s minigun. Playing alongside SypherPK – who has also criticized Fortnite of late – Ninja became annoyed after being eliminated by enemies spamming their way into his box. After the pair were killed, Sypher stated: “I think there’s just too many skill-less, spamming guns that reward bad players.” Ninja agreed, shouting: “I hate this f**king game. Switch on over to Fortnite to have some fun, first game [I] die to one of the sweatiest players I’ve seen in this f**king game, in a long time… Sypher has 150 shield, gets heavy sniped from 200 meters away, get’s knocked. Second guy, heavy snipes him, thirsts him, he’s dead. Launch pad over to me, minigun spray – it’s just so bad, that’s not fun. I don’t have fun.” Timestamp for Mobile Users: 0:25 “Can they remove the f**king heavy snipers from this game?” the Mixer star continued. “Let me tell you two guns that never should have returned to this game – heavy snipers and miniguns… I hate I complain so much, but why is it in the game!” While complaints regarding the heavy sniper and miniguns are nothing new, Ninja expanded on his frustrations and stated that their most annoying aspect is the lack of skill they take to use. If they managed this with one of the game’s old 105-damage bolt-action sniper rifles, most players would be left with some health and could heal up and fight back. Similarly, the minigun’s large magazine and fast rate-of-fire mean players can fire continuously to break down an enemy’s defenses, as opposed to a different gun, where players could counter-build. Epic has not publicly responded to fan complaints over the minigun or heavy sniper. However, since they stopped publishing patch notes in Chapter 2, many players have grown used to a lack of clarity surrounding changes and their decisions. Ninja, though, wants something to change.

Ninja blasts Fortnite for catering to ‘unskilled’ players Mixer: Ninja/Epic GamesPopular Fortnite veteran Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins has criticized Epic Games’ battle royale, arguing there are too many weapons that any player can use effectively.
