The launch of Fortnite Chapter 2 and a brand new map gave fans of the battle royale plenty of excitement that there would plenty of things in store. However, things haven’t gone quite to plan. The longest season in the game’s history hasn’t been as full of content as fans would have liked – despite Epic Games switching to a new engine and sparking hope from players like Ninja, especially as he said he believed there would be big things in store. During his February 8 stream, the popular Fortnite player dove into his feelings regarding the all-new game engine – and what it could mean for the new season. Despite his early high hopes, Ninja played down his expectations. “After them releasing the engine, the engine is out and we’re playing on it, I think the season is going to be pretty average – and by average, I mean I don’t think it’s going to be as godly and god-tier as people think it needs to be now,” Ninja said. The streamer noted that he had “no idea” what Epic’s game plan is regarding the new season, as it feels like they have “deprived” players in regards to what they’ve been used to in the past with constant updates and changes. “It’s like, I don’t know what’s going, I don’t know what they’re going to do,” he added. After a few moments, he expanded on what he was thinking. He explained why he doesn’t believe the end of the first season will lead to any huge changes as Epic hasn’t really played into a storyline as they have in the past. “With the information we’re given now, I don’t see anything crazy happening – I don’t see any crazy map changes,” Ninja added. “Epic has never just changed and blown up a map for like one season this early on. It’s usually throughout the entire season something is happening that leads to a huge map change.” However, the Mixer star concluded by saying that he believes in Epic to have something up their sleeve, though he accepts that it could be the final straw for some players – even if he thinks the game will never really struggle. “Now, it is up to them to prove that they know what they’re doing,” added Ninja. “This new season is going to be really huge man. I feel like they’ve put themselves in a position where if this does not do well, or if it isn’t like incredible, it’s like the last straw thing.” Of course, it is difficult to say what Epic might have in store for the new season, so it remains to be seen as to what is coming next. However, Ninja and his fellow players won’t have long to wait, as Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 2 is set to finally launch on February 20.

Ninja explains why Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 2 could be “average” Mixer: Ninja/Epic GamesStreaming superstar Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins has explained why he thinks Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 2 might not be what fans are expecting after playing for a few days on the new engine, following the V11.50 update.
