Shroud claims Fortnite Chapter 2 makes Apex Legends look \u201c300x better\u201d Top Twitch streamer Michael \u2018shroud\u2018 Grzesiek finally tried his hand at the new Fortnite Chapter 2, but couldn\u2019t manage more than a few hours, and said he\u2019ll be back \u201cnext season\u201d. A former CS:GO pro, shroud is now best known on Twitch for his love of battle royale games, namely PUBG and Apex Legends. Although he\u2019s tried Fortnite in the past, it has never truly captivated him, perhaps because he has always had a preference for first-person shooters, over third-person. Chapter 2 of Fortnite has revitalized the game\u2019s community. With the excitement around the Chapter 2 launch, shroud found himself tempted to try out the new season; so did his update and jumped into some matches with fellow streamers TimTheTatman, Nate Hill and Syhmfuhny on October 18. It didn\u2019t take long before Grzesiek was reminded of the reasons he has previously stopped playing Epic\u2019s BR game before, comparing it to Respawn\u2019s Apex Legends. \u201cI\u2019m not going to lie, playing this game makes Apex look three hundred times better,\u201d shroud said, \u201cIt really makes me appreciate Apex more, so I\u2019m kind of glad I\u2019m playing.\u201d After just over three hours of playing, and without much success, shroud decided he had finally had enough. He came up against a highly skilled builder, and it became clear that despite his best efforts, he was simply no match for the experienced opponents who played the game more regularly. \u201cI can\u2019t play this game anymore, I\u2019m too bad,\u201d a defeated shroud explained, \u201cI can\u2019t get owned any longer, it\u2019s too hard, I\u2019ll play it next year, next season.\u201d Unlike a handful of other top streamers, shroud\u2019s viewership doesn\u2019t expect a lot of Fortnite gameplay from him anyway, so it shouldn\u2019t come as too much of a disappointment to most of his fans. For now, it looks as though he will be returning to Apex Legends, at least until the new Call of Duty, Modern Warfare, arrives on October 25.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
