The popular Twitch streamer, who has over 7.7 million followers on his channel, has mocked console players particularly on countless occasions in the past. However, even with the game’s meta flipping on its head and controller players now have an upper hand, with aim assist and accuracy boosts, he doesn’t actually see a reason to adapt. After he was eliminated during a recent broadcast, the former FaZe Clan member called for a “level playing field” between mouse and controller, although it doesn’t look like Tenney’s going to be changing the way he plays the game any time soon – even if it could be of great benefit, competitively. The streamer ran into an enemy during the stream and was finished off by a Tactical Shotgun, which sparked the comments about a level playing field. He said: “I just wish I had like low ping, like I just wish I had the same ping as my opponent.” Moments later, Turner changed his mind and moved onto what he believes to be the real issue in the game – controller player advantage. “I don’t even want low ping, I want it to be an equal playing field between mouse and controller,” he said. “I obviously think controller is the best Fortnite input device, for sure, but I don’t want to practise controller for just this game, you know what I’m saying? The future of gaming is all mouse and keyboard.” (Timestamp in video below at 0:45) Following on from that, Tfue also claimed that a lot of these players who are dominating Fortnite competitive with a controller won’t be able to translate such skills in another space. “None of these controller Fortnite players are going to go off and become professional CSGO players on a controller, it’s just not going to happen. Like, there’s no transition from this. It’s a one time thing so I’m just going to stay on mouse and controller.” These comments will be particularly interesting for his fans on Twitch, who watch him play Epic Games’ battle royale title regularly, as it could be one of the first signs in a while that he’s considering making the transition to another game himself in the future. Whether or not that will happen in the future remains to be seen, but clearly he’s not a fan of how competitive Fortnite is evolving – that’s for sure.

Tfue explains why he refuses to play Fortnite with a controller Tfue, YouTube / Epic GamesTurner ‘Tfue’ Tenney has revealed the reason why he won’t fully move to playing with controller on Fortnite Battle Royale, despite calling it the best input device in Season 2.
