Tfue hits out at Epic Games for patching Fortnite shield exploit Fortnite star Turner \u2018Tfue\u2018 Tenney has hit out at Epic Games for their recent patch that has taken away the ability to quickly destroy Slurp Juice trucks by building a cone underneath. With the release of Fortnite Chapter 2 back in October, Epic Games changed up the much-loved battle royale map in favor of some new points of interest. One of the biggest changes came with the addition of Slurpy Swamp, an area where players can claim some free shield by taking a swim in the glowing swamp or ruining the factory\u2019s barrels, trucks, and pipelines. There is a tradeoff to getting the shield from the factory, however, as the developers gave the barrels, trucks, and pipelines high health points \u2013 meaning they take a while to destroy. Players have found ways to instantly destroy them, with the most popular method coming from building a cone, but the developers recently patched that \u2013 much to the dismay of many fans. Tfue himself joined that disappointed bunch of fans during his December 13 stream when he discovered that the popular trick had been taken away. \u201cDude, are you kidding me Epic Games?\u201d Tenney said after trying to destroy a slurp truck with the cone build. \u201cEpic Games, suck my ass, ok. I know you guys watch my f**king stream and be like \u2018oh yeah, we can\u2019t any of that\u2019 come on dude.\u201d Tfue wasn\u2019t finished there though, as he questioned why the developers would make the change. \u201cLike, why? Bro, someone literally went out of their way and took the time out of their day and got fucking paid to make it to where you can\u2019t build to break a f**king truck. Like, that was somebody\u2019s priority. That is crazy. Like why? Did it really affect the game that much?\u201d Now, despite a number of big-name players like Tfue speaking out on their dislike of the change, it seems unlikely that Epic Games will revert back to the way things were. While they could do so, it looks as if players will just have to deal with breaking the trucks with their pickaxes and hoping that nobody sneaks up behind them.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
