The Last Airbender recently celebrated its 15th anniversary in February, as the groundbreaking animation originally released in 2008 on Nickelodeon. Despite ending over a decade ago, the series has a passionate following. An artist gave fans of the series what they\u2019ve been wanting for years \u2013 a video game. The skilled fan created the Avatar project using Media Molecules\u2019 game creation system Dreams on the PS4. Avatar: The Last Airbender game made in Dreams For over the last year artist \u2018Elca Gaming\u2018 has been creating an Avatar game and documenting its development on YouTube. He built the project from the ground up using Dreams on the PlayStation 4. In videos posted to his channel, fans get a glimpse of a gameplay featuring Aang flying around with his glider. Players can even create an air scooter, and zip around the level while the monk hovers above the wind. While the Nickelodeon franchise has had games in the past such as the 2014 Legend of Korra title by Platinum Games, fans have been waiting for close to a decade to get a proper take on Aang\u2019s journey. In a Q&#038;A, the artist explained his reasoning behind making an Avatar-based game. \u201cAbout a year ago, I re-watched the series after a long time not watching it. And it was so much better than I originally remembered. I recognized there currently is no big or actually good Avatar games on the market,\u201d he said. Last month to celebrate the show\u2019s anniversary, the YouTuber uploaded a video showcasing new gameplay of Aang using his glider. The clip quickly went viral, and at the time of writing has over 521,000 views.
