DecaPolice trailer & platforms The reveal trailer for DecaPolice debuted at the latest Nintendo Direct and gave Level-5 fans a taste of the game\u2019s colorful anime-inspired visuals and crime-solving premise. The trailer shows a group of characters who enter Decasim \u2013 a virtual recreation of reality \u2013 to undergo their detective training. The game is confirmed to be coming to Nintendo Switch, PS4, and PS5 platforms. You can check out the full trailer below: On March 9, 2023, developer Level-5 released two more trailers for DecaPolice during its Level-5 Vision event. The first trailer was a 3-minute teaser that gave some background for the game\u2019s story and world. The teaser introduces the city where the game takes place: Broadstone. It is described as \u201ca city of dreams and opportunities.\u201d However, behind its sheen lies the city is a hotbed for crime where \u201cthe underworld runs rampant.\u201d The trailer introduces us to our main protagonist who is a rookie detective named Harvard Marks. He gets assigned to the Broadstone Police Center\u2019s Special Investigations Unit and uses the special training simulator Decasim to hone his skills as a detective. We are also introduced to Harvard Marks\u2019 partners in the SIU, in the form of Carl Oxford, Zhang Tsinghua, Manimani Manoa, and Mikey Princeton. Each character will apparently have unique abilities that will help them solve various cases throughout the game. The next trailer focuses on the DecaPolice\u2019s gameplay, which gives a much clearer idea of how the exploration and turn-based combat. Gameplay details According to the newly released gameplay trailer, the overall gameplay is split into two main sections. In the investigation section, players will navigate the virtual Decasim in the third person as they take part in investigations by analyzing crime scenes and collecting evidence. Once players have pieced together the mystery of a case and cornered a criminal, the game will shift into its turn-based JRPG phase called Tactical Operations. Here, turn-based battles will play out where Harvard Marks and his partners will fight and apprehend the criminal responsible. Like any good JRPG, players will need to use a variety of different skills at their disposal to defeat criminals in battle to fully capture them.
