But it\u2019s never really looked as if there\u2019s been real movement on the issue from the dev team as far as ESO is concerned. In fact, many players consider the answer to the question a \u201chard no\u201d. However, recent comments ahead of Gold Road\u2019s global reveal from ESO\u2019s Creative Director, Richard Lambert, illustrate the dev team is aware of the demand, and investigating possibilities. According to Lambert, the issue is complicated, but the devs are not ignoring it. \u201cIt is hard. We made a lot of decisions in like 2008 and 2009 when we were just starting to build the technology that doesn\u2019t necessarily play nice with that,\u201d he touched on during a recent Q&A with press. \u201cIt\u2019s a big, big gnarly thing,\u201d he said of crossplay, before explaining the team has been \u201cdigging\u201d into what\u2019s involved. \u201cMy answer has kind of changed over the years. Especially now that we\u2019ve spent a lot more\u2026 brain power behind it. But it\u2019s definitely not something that\u2019s going to happen anytime soon.\u201d Even if it\u2019s not something players can expect soon, Lambert\u2019s change of heart is no doubt an exciting sign for those in favor of the crossplay experience.
