Gran Turismo 7 1.06 update patch notes: New Race Display, World Circuit & Menu Book fixes Polyphony DigitalThe Gran Turismo 7 1.06 update has landed and Polyphony Digital just introduce a couple of new features to the racing sim along with a slew of bug fixes for various aspects of the game. It\u2019s only been a week since the worldwide release of GT7, which was met with critical acclaim for being one of the most complete entries in the franchise. Now the devs are implementing even more polish into the game with its latest update. As the devs receive feedback on the most pressing issues in Gran Turismo, players can expect more of these patches to fine-tune the experience. Take a look below to see what headlined the Gran Turismo 7 1.06 update and what features to expect from it. Race Display wind update Gran Turismo players will now be able to better gauge the direction of the wind with a new heads-up display feature located at the top right corner of the screen. Now there will be a wind direction arrow and a wind speed indicator in the form of a number. For a game that\u2019s known for its meticulous realism, this will provide players with even more data to play around with. World Circuit and bug fixes Polyphony addressed a problematic bug that kept players from progressing through the Menu Book. The studio quickly moved to fix that glitch which has hopefully been resolved. World Circuits also went under the microscope as the devs implemented fixes for everything from glitched weather effects to time trial mechanics not working properly. Gran Turismo 7 1.06 update patch notes Main Features Implemented 1. Race Display \u2013 Added wind direction and wind speed indicators. An arrow (wind direction) and number (wind speed) will be displayed on the upper right of the screen under the Track Map. 2. Music Replay \u2013 Added 64 music tracks. Other Improvements and Adjustments 1. Progression blocks and application errors \u2013 Fixed a very rare issue wherein progress made on a Menu Book would not be recognised and prevented players to continue their playthrough; \u2013 Fixed an issue wherein an application error would occur when using the broadcast features of the PlayStation\u00ae4 system; \u2013 Fixed an issue wherein an application error would occur when \u2018Shoot\u2019 is selected in \u2018Race Photo\u2019 during a replay displayed in 4K on the PlayStation\u00ae4 Pro system and with the aspect ratio set to 16:9; \u2013 Fixed an issue wherein an application error would occur when \u2018License Plate\u2019 is selected in \u2018GT Auto\u2019 under [Car Customisation] > [Other], while progressing Menu Book No. 20, \u2018Show Your Custom Wing.\u2019 2. World Circuits \u2013 Fixed an issue wherein the actual time of day in a \u2018Custom Race\u2019 of some tracks would not match the selection made in [Time \/ Weather Settings] > [Timeframe]; \u2013 Fixed an issue with the Sector 2\u2019s Bronze target time in the \u2018Circuit Experience\u2019 of the \u2018Willow Springs Raceway: Streets of Willow Springs\u2019 track that made the Bronze prize unachievable; \u2013 Fixed an issue wherein it was possible to choose cars without dirt tyres installed from the [Settings] > [Change Car] of the Quick Menu during a \u2018Time Trial\u2019 and \u2018Drift Trial\u2019 on Dirt tracks; \u2013 Fixed an issue with the weather for all race events; \u2013 The Overtake function for the Dallara SF19 Super Formula \/ Honda \u201919 has been disabled in the Licence test \u2018S-7\u2019 (One Lap Time Attack) within the \u2018Licence\u2019 pavilion. (The ranking boards have been reset.) 3. GT Auto \u2013 Fixed an issue wherein the racing suit would not be displayed in \u2018Driving Gear\u2019 under certain conditions; \u2013 Deleted the \u2018Duplicate on Opposite Side\u2019 and \u2018Duplicate Symmetrically\u2019 menu items from the \u2018Layer Controls\u2019 of the left and right arms while editing Racing Suit Livery; \u2013 Fixed an issue wherein work results would not be applied in \u2018Car Maintenance & Service\u2019 if the work is selected by moving the cursor with the Left stick. 4. Car Settings \u2013 Fixed an issue wherein the Setting Sheet would become blank, and the setting content could not be saved. With this fix, the blank setting sheets will remain but you will be able to delete these normally. This will also fix the progression blockers encountered when the Menu Book tasks involved Car Settings; \u2013 Fixed an issue wherein a car would return to its original wheels if the Setting Sheet was modified while a non-standard wheel was equipped; \u2013 Fixed an issue wherein the \u2018Top Speed (Automatically Adjusted)\u2019 would not adjust properly when a Fully Customisable transmission was installed; \u2013 Fixed an issue wherein the speeds displayed under Rotational G\u2019s were incorrect; \u2013 Fixed an issue wherein adding a new Setting Sheet for a car where the engine was swapped would not carry that information over the new sheets. The engine swap will now be applied to all Setting Sheets. 5. Showcase & My Page \u2013 Fixed an issue within \u2018Showcase\u2019 wherein the 2nd page and beyond would not be displayed properly if the number of items in \u2018My Items\u2019 and \u2018Collection\u2019 exceeded 100; \u2013 Fixed an issue within \u2018Gallery\u2019 wherein the 2nd page and beyond would not be displayed properly if the number of items in \u2018My Page\u2019 exceeded 100 items. 6. Brand Central \u2013 Fixed an issue wherein an Invitation icon would appear in the \u2018Showroom\u2019 of manufacturers even when the player did not have an invitation. 7. Replay \u2013 Fixed an issue wherein the Replays and Demo Replays would not play all the way until the end. 8. Multiplayer \u2013 Fixed an issue wherein the \u2018Assist Settings\u2019 would reset after joining a location and quitting without entering a race; \u2013 Fixed an issue wherein the weather and time set by the host would not reflect correctly for the other players in the room. 9. Options \u2013 Changed the \u2018Flash and Toggle High\/Low Beams\u2019 function assigned to the default button of the DUALSHOCK\u00ae4 and DualSense\u2122 wireless controllers to \u2018Flash High Beams\u2019. If the button had been remapped previously, selecting the \u2018Restore Default Settings\u2019 will apply the change; \u2013 Fixed an issue wherein the BGM would not play during Music Replay if the [Sound Volume] > [Menu BGM] volume level was set to 0; \u2013 Fixed an issue wherein the changes to the exposure value in the \u2018Exposure and Saturation\u2019 settings made when starting the game for the first time would not be reflected in the preview screen. 10. Steering Controller \u2013 Fixed an issue wherein the Thrustmaster TH8A shifter would not operate properly when connected to the USB. Please note that the PlayStation\u00ae5 console is not compatible with this USB connection. The shifter can be used by connecting it directly to the steering wheel base using a \u2018DIN-to-DIN\u2019 cable. 11. Others \u2013 Fixed an issue wherein clearing all licence tests on wet surfaces would not award the Bronze trophy \u2018Rain Royalty.\u2019 Players who have already cleared the relevant tests can acquire the trophy by clearing the tests again; \u2013 The Race Demo displayed during Auto Demos has been changed to a Music Replay; \u2013 Various other issues have been addressed.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
