Legendary Yu-Gi-Oh cards from classic anime coming to life in print KONAMIA series of classic cards from the Yu-Gi-Oh anime are set to make their debut in print for the first time ever. Included amongst them is the Eye of Illusion from the anime\u2019s first season. Every fan of the Yu-Gi-Oh anime knows of the legendary Eye of Illusion. This was the card used by Maximillion Pegasus against the fresh-faced Yugi Moto during their first battle. All the way back in the show\u2019s second-ever episode. Eye of Illusion gave Pegasus the power to take control of Yugi\u2019s prized card, Dark Magician. This duel set the stage for the rest of Yugi\u2019s adventures in the first series. But the Eye of Illusion never appears in another episode again. Despite the card forming part of the anime\u2019s lore, it never made its way into the real-world trading card game either. Until now, that is. The release of the new Maze of Millennia set Konami is bringing iconic cards from the popular series to life, for players to use in their decks today. Alongside the Eye of Illusion, Mad King Brron\u2019s Clorless and Sergey Volkov\u2019s Harmonic Synchro Fusion are making their way to the trading card game too. The new set even includes cards from the show\u2019s later series \u2014 like Bonfire from GX. \u201cDuelists will have their hands full with dozens of new cards that first appeared in or were inspired by the many worlds of Yu-Gi-Oh!\u201d Konami said in their statement announcing the Maze of Millennia release. It\u2019s certainly going to be interesting to see how Konami have managed to balance iconic cards from the anime series with the realities of playing a trading card game in real life.
