However, Sony announced on August 3 that Spider-Man will join the collective of champions announced so far \u2013 including Captain America, Iron Man, Hulk, Thor, Black Widow, Ms. Marvel, and Hawkeye \u2013 exclusively on PlayStation. \u201cWe can\u2019t wait for you to add Spider-Man to your Marvel\u2019s Avengers roster in early 2021, and as we\u2019ve promised before, he will be available at no additional cost to owners of the base game, exclusively on PlayStation,\u201d a PlayStation blog post read. A follow-up title focusing on Miles Morales is set for a PlayStation 5 release and will continue the \u201cMarvel\u2019s Spider-Man universe\u201d on the new platform. But now the multi-platform Square Enix game will have a distinct omission in the lineup of heroes on Xbox and PC.
