The shoes would seem to be red pair of the Air Jordan III Retro U, though from the video it’s impossible to tell whether or not they come with any Xbox branding, it’s definitely a possibility. The collab leak comes a day before the officially announced release date on February 13, and it’s still not clear how the Twitter page got their hands on the video. 👀 RT @NTWRKLIVE: .@Xbox + @Jumpman23 👀 pic.twitter.com/v0DD8jUGz6 — J23 iPhone App (@J23app) February 12, 2020 The Xbox Twitter account announced a collaboration between the console giant and the Michael Jordan brand set to be revealed on February 13, with the rumor mill spinning on whether it could be a new console skin or something else. Xbox and Nike’s Jordan brand will be collaborating on an unknown project, with more details to be revealed in the coming days. The short eight-second teaser from the Xbox account on February 11 was dyed in the iconic Jordan red color, with the brand’s logo fading in and out besides the Xbox one. With the tag line “get ready to redefine the game,” fans will only have to wait a few days until February 13 to see how they do just that. The tweet has driven plenty of speculation in the gaming scene of what it could possibly be. Many players are hoping for an console skin for the upcoming Xbox Series X. The next-gen console is expected to be released at the end of 2020, with the announcement coming at a perfect time to generate more hype. However, The Jordan brand is more well-known for its shoe range with Nike, so there’s also the possibility Xbox-themed Air Jordans could be on the cards for all the console gamers out there. https://www.instagram.com/p/Bj_CuaIBPY2/?utm_source=ig_embed It would follow the trend of seeing esports apparel trending more towards streetwear. With 100 Thieves’ incredibly popular drops, to more traditional apparel companies like Puma developing products for gamers, the Jordan collaboration could be more in this vein rather than a console skin. It also won’t be the first time Xbox and Jordan have had a sneaker collab. Back in 2018, a pair of Xbox Air Jordan’s were revealed at E3, although they came with a hefty price tag attached. There’s obviously more possibilities outside of the imagination of just a shoe line or a special console release, but it would be out of the ordinary for either brand if it wasn’t one or the other. Xbox players will have to wait until February 13 to see exactly what it is, but the hype is real for all console players. Between the next-gen console releases this year and major collaborations being announced left, right, and center, 2020 is going to be a big year.

Xbox & Michael Jordan collaboration accidentally leaked early Twitter: XboxUPDATE February 12 12:45PM PST – Video that appears to show the Xbox and Air Jordan collab was posted to Twitter by @J23app, and features a shot of a red box opening up to an exclusive Xbox One X, Jordans, and two matching controllers.
