During a visit to Panama, the Pope addressed an estimated 600,000 people at a \u2018World Youth Day\u2019 festival in Panama City. He made reference to \u2018social networks\u2019, and how the mother of Jesus was the woman that had the \u201cbiggest influence\u201d on the world without Twitter, Facebook and so on. \u201cThe young woman of Nazareth didn\u2019t appear in the social networks of the time, she wasn\u2019t an influencer, but without wanting it or seeking it, she became the woman that had the biggest influence in history.\u201d He reiterated this sentiment on Twitter, explaining that by accepting to birth Jesus, Mary became the most influential woman in history, and the first \u201cinfluencer of God\u201d.
