While many travelers have saved Primogems for the release of Arataki Itto and Gorou in Version 2.3 \u2014 if you want the new Liyue characters, now is your time. Individual banners will be split across the two halves of the update, so be sure to check below so you roll for the right characters at the right time. New characters Yun Jin, Shenhe coming in Genshin Impact update 2.4 After being in the files for months, Yun Jin and Shenhe will release in Genshin Impact update 2.4. Yun Jin was widely theorized to be Genshin Impact\u2019s first Dendro character, but it has since been confirmed she will be a Geo Polearm. So, for those waiting for an early Dendro release sadly you\u2019ll need to wait a bit longer. She currently exists in the game as an NPC, serenading all of Liyue with her opera performances. Shenhe was rumored to be the human form of the Cloud Retainer, but instead she just has a close connection to the adeptus. She is a five-star character, and also a Cryo-Polearm user. Ganyu, Xiao, Zhongli re-runs confirmed Three Liyue five-stars will also be getting re-runs in update 2.4 as well: Ganyu, Xiao, and Zhongli. Xiao\u2019s rerun will run alongside Shenhe\u2019s banner in the first half of the update. The four-star Yun Jin will appear as a featured rate-up character on both banners. Then, Ganyu and Zhongli\u2019s individual banner will launch by the time Lantern Rite comes around in the second half of the update. The underground palace near Sangonomiya Shrine will explore what many consider to be the birthplace of the Watatsumi people. Lantern Rite returns in Genshin Impact update 2.4 The popular Lantern Rite event is back in Genshin Impact in time for Chinese New Year in update 2.4. As part of the new story quests in Genshin Impact update 2.4, Ningguang and Yun Jin will be receiving their first Hangout Events. Players will be able to unlock both for two story keys once the update drops. The events are a great way to learn a little more about each character\u2019s past in lieu of a traditional story quest which four-star characters don\u2019t get. The RES lost this way will be reset every 20s. – – Starting from the first time that the Lunar Phase refreshes after updating to Version 2.4, the three Lunar Phases will be as follows: Phase I: Blade-Flourish Moon \u2014 When the active character\u2019s Normal, Charged, or Plunging Attacks hit opponents multiple times within 2s, that character\u2019s Normal, Charged, and Plunging Attack DMG is increased by 5% for 8s. Max 15 stacks. This effect can be triggered once every 0.1s and will be cleared if the character goes down or leaves the field. – Phase II: Blooming Moon \u2014 When the active character hits opponents with attacks that are considered Normal Attack DMG, there is a 50% chance of unleashing a shockwave at the hit opponent\u2019s position, dealing AoE True DMG. One shockwave can be released in this way every 0.3s. – Phase III: Awakening Moon \u2014 When the active character\u2019s Normal, Charged, or Plunging Attacks hit opponents multiple times within 2s, the character gains a stack of Emergence for 8s. This effect can be triggered once every 0.1s. Emergence will be cleared when the character goes down or leaves the field. When the character gains 15 Emergence stacks, the stacks will be cleared and a shockwave will be unleashed that deals True DMG to nearby opponents.
