It\u2019s hard to remember a game ever being as highly anticipated as the next installment in the Grand Theft Auto series \u2013 despite the fact that no concrete announcements have even been made. February 6 saw Take-Two\u2019s annual investor call, in which they discuss the company\u2019s performance over the past year, as well as the future direction investors can expect the company to take. For obvious reasons, they remain vague in their discussions, but it still provides fans with an insight of what to expect. Among other notable announcements, Take-Two confirmed that there will be multiple releases from the company\u2019s most significant franchises. While this could refer to a host of game series, including Borderlands, Red Dead, Bully or their 2K franchises, it\u2019s hard to imagine there won\u2019t be a Grand Theft Auto release at any point in the next 5 years. Both Borderlands and Red Dead have received installments in the last couple of years, while Grand Theft Auto V came out in 2013. \u201cWe are going to share more about the pipeline,\u201d said Karl Slatoff, Take-Two\u2019s President. \u201cWe\u2019re hoping to share a lot more information with you over the coming months regarding that.\u201d Despite the news that more information will be coming our way over the next few months, Strauss Zelnick, Take-Two\u2019s Chairman, emphasized the continued support their biggest titles will be receiving, explicitly naming Borderlands 3 and Grand Theft Auto Online. He also confirmed that their policy to release a AAA game every year remains in place, but there has been no suggestion as to what that title will be. Millions will have their fingers crossed for another Grand Theft Auto title. The final major talking point was regarding Dan Houser\u2019s departure from Rockstar Games.
