The chess community was left conflicted after adored YouTuber agadmator promoted a recent Andrew Tate interview, but his response could clear up any confusion. Controversial influencer Andrew Tate has become a very polarizing figure on the internet. In December 2022, he was arrested on charges of human trafficking, rape, and forming an organized crime group. That hasn’t stopped Tate from appearing on big platforms, including a massive Twitter interview with Tucker Carlson – something that chess star agadmator felt his followers needed to watch. Chess creator under fire for sharing Tucker Carlson’s Andrew Tate interview On July 11, Carlson uploaded a mammoth 2-hour interview with Andrew Tate to Twitter, prompting agadmator to retweet it to his 150,000 followers. When Chess Problem posted a screenshot of the “uncritical interview” retweet, agadmator stepped in and addressed the issue directly. “Great interview, recommend,” he said without elaborating further. Although the YouTuber didn’t say whether he endorsed Tate or Carlson, this response didn’t sit well with some folks on Reddit. Many users took issue with the YouTuber giving Tate a platform. “Wow. That’s very disappointing,” wrote one. However, not everyone opposed agadmator’s retweet with some arguing that having differing opinions on controversial subjects is perfectly normal. its his opinion and he retweeted what he felt like retweeting , I don’t see any shame in that — Anmol Upadhyay (@anmol7ms) July 17, 2023 “It’s his opinion and he retweeted what he felt like retweeting. • Chess master lays perfect trap to catch out stream-sniping opponent – Dexerto

Chess master lays perfect trap to catch out stream-sniping opponent L: Twitch, R: Chess.comTwitch streamer ChessNetwork caught out a potentially steam-sniping opponent after laying a trap for them on the broadcast. ChessNetwork, as the name suggests, streams online chess games on Twitch, sharing his knowledge of the game as a National Master-ranked player with his viewers. One of the perils of explaining your strategy live, of course, is that if the opponent is watching the broadcast they could gain a massive edge from such information, with the ability to predict and plan for opponents’ moves being a huge part of success in chess. During one match, however, ChessNetwork was able to catch out a potential stream sniper by baiting them into a bad position. After making a move with his pawn, ChessNetwork feigned disaster, acting as though he’d made a game-losing mistake and explaining the move his opponent could now make that would all but end the game. Right on cue, the opponent made the move as described, and ChessNetwork pulled the switch to gain a massive advantage. “Yes! They might have been listening, it’s a sneaky tactic, a stream tactic!” ChessNetwork explained in celebration. What is stream sniping? “Stream sniping” is the term used to describe the practice of watching a streamer’s broadcast while in the same game as them in order to disrupt the normal flow of play in some way, either by gaining information for a competitive edge or simply using it to more effectively troll the streamer. While the effectiveness of stream sniping can be mitigated to some degree by having a delay on the broadcast, for many streamers being able to interact with viewers in real time is a significant part of the entertainment they offer, and so adding a delay may not be an option without impacting the broadcast. It’s not entirely clear whether Chess Network’s opponent was actually stream sniping – it’s possible they simply fell for the trap of their own accord, and not because they were listening in – but the timing of the move certainly made it seem like they took the bait.

  • Chess star slams sexists for focusing on her clothes & accent instead of game – Dexerto

Chess star slams sexists for focusing on her clothes & accent instead of game Instagram/divyachess18-year-old Indian chess star Divya Deshmukh is hitting out at sexism she’s experienced at tournaments in a series of scathing posts. Deshmukh, one of India’s rising chess talents, is tired of women being taken for granted in chess and called out the sexism she’s been dealing with. The chess star was feeling good about her performance at the Tata Steel Chess Challengers, which she finished 12th at, but revealed that fans weren’t exactly the most excited about how she played the game. According to Deshmukh, this event was the straw that broke the camel’s back, explaining that the audience was paying more attention to everything else about her than her chess matches. Indian chess star calls out sexism at tournament In a scathing Instagram post, Deshmukh said how she has noticed how women in chess are “often just taken for granted” and how the Tata Steel Chess Challengers event was another example of this. “I played a few games which I felt were quite good and I was proud of them. I got told by people how the audience was not even bothered with the game but instead focused on every single possible thing in the world: my clothes, hair, accent and every other irrelevant thing,” she wrote. She continued, “I was quite upset to hear this and I think is the sad truth that people when women play chess they often overlook how good they actually are, the games they play and their strength.” Deshmukh further added how she was “disappointed” with how few people paid attention to her interviews. Chess Master Yosha Iglesias also chimed in on Twitter in support of Deshmukh, saying that her interviews were full of men insulting her and making sexual comments. Tata Steel Chess has responded to the backlash. In a statement to Chess.com, chief organizer Jeroen van den Berg said that the tournament will “remain committed to promoting women in chess and ensuring a safe and equal sporting enviroment. Step by step, but we will get there.” Divya, meanwhile, says she harbors no ill will against Tata Steel Chess and doesn’t “blame the spectators,” adding that all the ones she met were kind. This is not the first time chess sexism has made headlines. Late last year, Anna-Maja Kazarian was fined over her choice of footwear at the World Chess Championships – something she says ruined the tournament for her.

  • Chess pros slam “inhumane” FIDE for fining player over her shoes at World Championships – Dexerto

Chess pros slam “inhumane” FIDE for fining player over her shoes at World Championships X/AMKazarianFIDE, the international world chess federation, is under fire after Anna-Maja Kazarian was fined over her choice of shoes, which she says completely ruined the World Chess Championships for her. The 2023 FIDE World Rapid Chess Championships kicked off on December 26 with Magnus Carlsen winning his sixth title while Anastasia Bodnaruk secured the women’s crown, but the event was hardly without drama. On December 27, Anna-Maja Kazarian revealed that she had been stopped by an arbiter over her “strange shoes” and was asked to change out of her Burberry sneakers. Shortly thereafter, she was fined 100 euros for her choice of clothing, forcing her to change shoes and leaving the chess star feeling “absolutely devastated.” Needless to say, the rest of the chess community wasn’t happy either. Chess stars blast FIDE after female player fined over her shoes Former Women’s Chess Champion Susan Polgar was instantly put off after hearing the news about Kazarian being fined. “This (Burberry) shoes from a female player, were NOT allowed, and she said she was fined 100 euros,” she said before taking aim at how male players were reportedly treated differently. “But there were photos of male players wearing sneakers, and they were not penalized. Why the double standards?” YouTuber GothamChess also took issue with the fine calling it “insanity” while Kick streamer GM Hikaru reposted Kazarian’s comments remarking, “Some animals are clearly more equal than others.” In a video, Kazarian revealed that her fine could be lifted in the future, but at the event, she had to travel back to her hotel, change shoes and come back to compete, noting that the experience had taken a toll on her mental state. She further addressed concerns that she was blowing the incident out of proportion and “milking” it for relevance. “Besides my entire tournament being ruined by FIDE, I slept very poorly and had no appetite all day. Just for some stupid shoes issue. This is not a joke and if you consider me bringing attention to this ‘milking’, you’re inhumane just like FIDE,” she shot back. This is hardly the first time chess drama has sparked this big of a response. Earlier this year, Hikaru was accused of cheating after breaking the chess.com Blitz rating record after going on a massive winning streak.

  • Chess pro risks DQ after refusing to shake Russian opponent’s hand – Dexerto

Chess pro risks DQ after refusing to shake Russian opponent’s hand FIDEPolish chess Grand Master Jan-Krzysztof Duda could have been disqualified after refusing the handshake of Denis Khismatullin, but they did not file a complaint. Duda, the 25-year-old Polish number one refused to shake the hand of Khismatullin at the World Rapid Chess Championship on Tuesday. Khismatullin, who plays under a FIDE banner did not choose to file a complaint with FIDE, which could have led to Duda’s disqualification. GM Magnus Carlsen who defeated Khismatullin at the tournament did shake his hand, although he has admitted his attitude towards facing Russians has shifted since the start of the invasion of Ukraine. Refusing to shake hands constitutes a serious breach of FIDE rules According to Article 12 section 1 of the official FIDE rulebook, “12.1 The players shall take no action that will bring the game of chess into disrepute.” Infractions of this article can justify arbiters to punish players, ranging in severity from warnings, time penalties, losses, point reductions, and, even expulsions from an event. In 2008, GM Nigel Short won his game against Bulgarian GM Ivan Cheparinov after his opponent refused a handshake, which he described as a “clearly calculated insult.” Short called over an arbiter and reminded him of an at-the-time recent rule and behavior norm whereby players who refuse to shake hands or insult their opponent “will immediately and finally lose the relevant game.” This is just the latest in a long string of dramas facing the chess world lately. At the World Chess Championships, Anna-Maja Kazarian was fined for wearing what an arbiter called “sports shoes.” Shortly after, FIDE penalized two players after a quick draw led to accusations of match-fixing.

  • Chess pro Hans Niemann calls Mexico a “failed society” as poor wifi costs him match – Dexerto

Chess pro Hans Niemann calls Mexico a “failed society” as poor wifi costs him match X/HansMokeNiemannControversial chess star Hans Niemann is facing some backlash for his comments about Mexico after a disappointing performance at the FIDE World Junior Chess Championship. Hans Niemann has been in some hot water as of late. After settling his dispute with Hikaru Nakamura and Magnus Carlsen over his alleged cheating, he got into it with Alexandra Botez for “degenerate” Twitch streams. Now, Niemann has managed to upset even more people following a broadcast where he blamed a loss on a Mexico hotel’s poor wifi and made some disparaging comments towards the country. In an interview following his match against Konstantin Peyrer, Niemann proceeded to put Mexico on blast and explained what happened during his division 2 match. Hans Niemann calls Mexico a “failed society” Speaking on his loss against Vincent Keymer at the Champions Chess Tour AI Cup 2023, Niemann revealed that he kept disconnecting through the game. “These people say they have good wifi, so they give me my own personal modem. Of course these geniuses only give me five gigabytes, so when you have two phones and one computer, it runs out in two days,” he said. According to Niemann by the time the tournament came, he had no wifi and had to resort to using the hotel’s, but this ended up costing him, because he kept disconnecting and losing all his time. “I was raging, because every thirty seconds I would disconnect for thirty seconds and it was just impossible for me to play against Keymer. So, I basically lost this match, exclusively because it’s a failed society and there’s no wifi,” he added. “I’m very disappointed that I lost that match because of the wifi.” (segment begins at 4:45) While Niemann urged Mexico not to take his comments personally or be offended, plenty of users took issue with his remarks after he posted them to YouTube. “What an obnoxious person. It’s interesting how a person’s view of themselves goes up at the same rate that others’ views of them go down,” a viewer stated. “Imagine your lasting legacy being the joke of your pomposity,” another blasted. So far, Niemann has not responded to the backlash, but with his remarks sparking plenty of discussion on Reddit, it will be interesting to see if the controversial chess star faces any sort of discipline.

  • Chess pro banned for five years after sexually harassing young players – Dexerto

Chess pro banned for five years after sexually harassing young players Nadeem RasheedAndrejs Strebkovs, a Latvian International Master, has been banned for five years from competitive chess by FIDE for sexually harassing young players. The organization’s August 12 disciplinary action statement said that after two investigations, it found Strebkovs violated the FIDE Ethics & Disciplinary Code. The player is no longer allowed to play in any FIDE event as a player or to be “physically present” at these events globally, for five years. The EDC investigations unearthed that the Latvian master “engaged in a disturbing pattern of harassment over the past decade against female chess players.” “Dozens of female players, some as young as 14, received obscene letters containing [inappropriate] material and [items], sent to their homes, clubs, universities, and tournament venues,” the statement said. The investigation traced the letters back to Strebkovs through DNA analysis, according to the disciplinary decision. “FIDE will not tolerate any form of harassment or abuse within the chess community, especially in the cases where minors are involved,” said FIDE President Arkady Dvorkovich. The scandal, however, has been in the air for a while as The Telegraph and the Russian news site Meduza reported on the letters back in 2022. The report said some of the players who received letters were top Russian competitors. FIDE responded to the allegations at the time, saying it reported the letters to Latvian police. Strebkovs was investigated by Latvian authorities, but they “concluded that the actions did not constitute a criminal offense under Latvian law,” according to FIDE. This sentence for Strebkovs has the community once again coming after FIDE for its decision-making around its female members compared to their male peers. FIDE and its top leadership have been called out in the past for sexist rules and rulings towards women chess competitors.

Onakoya played for over two days in the heart of New York and live streamed the entire endeavor. The challenge started on April 17 and ended after he beat the previous record, set by Hallvard Haug Flatebø and Sjur Ferkingstad in 2018, by about four hours. The Nigerian master played against US chess champion and New York native Shawn Martinez the entire time. The two were allowed to take breaks after every hour played, for about five minutes, to rest and talk with the crowds of people that gathered around them. Onakoya is an ambassador for the game in Nigeria. He founded Chess in Slums Africa in 2018 and set his charity goal for the record-breaking chess marathon at $1 million for children’s education in Africa. The chess master has organized hundreds of competitions across Africa to boost his cause and the game’s prevalence on the continent. While the stream and marathon did not reach the $1 million goal, it did bring in thousands of dollars for the cause. Guinness World Records has not yet publically recognized the marathon at the time of writing. The record-breaking marathon did however receive a ton of media coverage from international and New York outlets. Afterward, Onakoya revealed that he had a bout of food poisoning during the marathon and could only drink water for much of 60 hours. He posted a photo on social media of his first meal post-marathon, Jollof rice.

Chess Grandmaster sparks cheating allegations after quitting game in one move Chess.comChess Grandmaster Vladimir Kramnik has sparked up cheating allegations by quitting a game after only making one move. Cheating allegations in Chess are far and wide as even some of the game’s biggest names like Hikaru Nakamura have been embroiled in their own allegation sagas. In particular, Grandmaster Vladimir Kramnik has too been embroiled in his own scandals, however, on the side as the accuser when he levied a series of allegations against Hikaru that were eventually shut down by Chess.com. Now, Kramnik has once again been put into the spotlight as he is refusing to play against certain players with questionable statistics. During his match against GM Jose “Jospem” Martinez in Chess.com’s Tilted Tuesday tournament, Kramnik resigned from the match after making only one move, right after Jospem had taken his second move. He would later talk about it on his live stream, explaining that he is choosing not to play against certain players with statistics he found questionable until Chess.com looks into it. “I might not play, just resigning, against people whose statistics are very unusual,” Kramnik said. He stressed that it isn’t a direct accusation of the players, but rather a protest against Chess.com for not explaining the unusual numbers. “And I just want to make it sure that it’s not an accusation, it’s not because of them even so, but it’s my kind of protest,” he said. “That’s why please don’t take it wrong, I mean, it’s not an accusation, but since I publish a lot of statistics and you all see that there are a lot of questions and there’s complete silence from Chess.com on it.” He went on to explain that until Chess.com releases a report on the statistics, he will continue to not play with the players. Chess.com has yet to respond to Kramnik’s allegations.

  • Chess Grandmaster Hikaru joins TSM after blowing up on Twitch – Dexerto

Chess Grandmaster Hikaru joins TSM after blowing up on Twitch TSMTeam SoloMid have signed Chess Grandmaster Hikaru Nakamura to their team, inviting him to compete, stream, and bring more trophies to the celebrated esports organization. Nakamura has been a sensation in the Chess landscape for decades, so it’s fitting for him to join one of the most heralded North American teams in the industry. However, the timing is no mistake. The centuries-old strategic board game has been having somewhat of a reawakening on Twitch, where thousands of younger audiences have been catching on to the brilliant competitors-turned-streamers on the platform. In an unexpected signing on August 27, TSM are cementing their position in the larger competitive Chess arena by adding the five-time United States Chess Champion among their ranks. A chess prodigy at 15 years old, now a 5-time U.S. champion and highest-rated blitz player in the world. During his rise, he became the youngest competitor to ever become a chessmaster, international master, and then grandmaster. His place in the grander world of competitive chess had already been imprinted long before the August announcement. He’s the number one player in the world at Blitz chess, a variant on the historic game that adds an intense time-crunch pitting players against each other and the clock. But the last two years has also made Nakamura the number one chess streamer on Twitch. His popularity exploded outside of the constrained environments of competitions, where his name would only spread by indoor voices from chess enthusiasts. At the turn of 2019, his presence on Twitch steadily grew in the oft-forgotten annals of the streaming site’s Chess category. But then early 2020 catapulted him and chess as a whole. Where he would average around 600-2000 viewers in the first phases of 2019, he now easily pulls in 6000 people or more per stream, peaking at around 28,000 during the inaugural Chess.com PogChamps event in early June. Thrust into the limelight, people like Nakamura, sisters Alexandra and Andrea Botez, Robert Hess, and more brightly shined; combining intricate, thoughtful approaches to the game paired with incredible personalities to invite newcomers. Now TSM will be working with him to propel him to even greater heights in their respective industries for one of the more intriguing collaborations in recent memory.

  • Chess Grandmaster Hikaru strikes Eric Hansen’s Chessbrah YouTube channel for copyright – Dexerto

Chess Grandmaster Hikaru strikes Eric Hansen’s Chessbrah YouTube channel for copyright TSM/ChessbrahPopular chess streamer and Grandmaster Eric Hansen, the main host of Chessbrah, has been handed 2 copyright strikes on behalf of content creator and chess master Hikaru Nakamura, leaving him on the edge of his channel being disabled by YouTube. Hikaru is one of the biggest names in chess, a high-level player who has also built up a huge online following with his Twitch channel. He joined TSM in August. He’s by far the most popular chess streamer on the platform, but this has also brought with it some controversy in the past. This includes some drama with sisters Alexandra and Andrea Botez, with whom he was upset about streaming in the ‘Just Chatting’ section of Twitch, rather than ‘Chess’. Hansen is a streamer we picked out as someone to keep an eye out for in 2021, and by all accounts he’s seeing a fair amount of growth this year. Shortly before finishing off his stream on Tuesday, April 6, Hansen revealed that Hikaru had been striking his channel. “I just can’t play,” he told his stream after losing a match. “Hikaru’s channel is striking our videos. One more and our channel gets deleted.” Adding that he “just got an email from YouTube,” Eric says that he has to go and sort that out, especially if it means the potential loss of the channel entirely. The copyright claim was made by Bent Pixels Select, who work with TSM and Hikaru. In a statement to Dexerto, Bent Pixels said: “Bent Pixels provides copyright protection for its creators including many of our gaming partners. In this case chessbrah has uploaded two (2) videos that were direct copyright of one of our creators GMHikaru in which a takedown policy was applied.” The YouTube upload now shows only a screen containing the copyright claim. Of course, losing his whole YouTube channel would be a huge blow to Hansen and the wider Chessbrah crew.

Chess Grandmaster claims Hikaru accused a young prodigy of cheating amid allegations Chess.comChess Grandmaster Srinath Narayanan claims Hikaru accused a young prodigy of cheating amid his own cheating allegations. Chess Grandmaster and Kick streamer Hikaru Nakamura has been embroiled in cheating allegations over the past weeks as a fellow GM, Vladimir Kramnik, claimed his Chess.com blitz rating records were suspicious. As the allegations between Nakamura and Kramnik go back and forth, other questionable acts from Nakamura have come to light as Nakamura has a history of also claiming other players were cheating. In a tweet by Chess Rumors, an anonymous player claimed Nakamura had once threatened to track down a young 14-year-old Andrew Tang – who would go on to become a Grandmaster – after he had scored 20% against him in a match. When a commenter pointed out Hikaru had also done this to GM Arjun Erigaisi and other Indian players after losing to an opponent, GM Srinath Narayanan corroborated the claim. “Can confirm that – true story about Arjun,” he said in his tweet. “Young Arjun was obviously rattled by the baseless accusation and felt bad about it, but thankfully it did not break his confidence or deter his progress.” Narayanan did not confirm if there were other Indian players who had been privately accused by Nakamura of cheating, and neither has Nakamura addressed the claims. This comes as Nakamura criticized Kramnik for deleting comments defending him in Karmnik’s Chess.com posts accusing Nakamura’s win streak. Nakamura said in a recent video discussing the allegations, “Someone doesn’t get to say these things without actual proof. They don’t get to falsely accuse people over and over again without having to pay a price.”

As FIDE Candidates played out Round 10 in Toronto, controversy brewed as French Grandmaster Alireza Firouzja was warned by FIDE’s Chief Arbiter to take off his shoes due to making too much noise on April 14. Following the incident, Alireza was caught in another incident between FIDE’s arbiters, as his father, Hamidreza Firouzja, threatened to call the police when he was unable to spectate his son, subsequently being removed from the venue. Interview starts at the 1:24:56 timestamp below. GM Pavel Tregubov, a FIDE Technical Delegate for the tournament, told Chess24 of the incident, “Sometime after the beginning of the Round, my team reported to me that [Hamidreza] contacted one of them… and threatened to call the police if he’s not allowed to be in the balcony whenever he wants.” Hamidreza was eventually escorted from the playing hall and building. All accompanying persons, including coaches and family members, are only allowed to spectate the first 15 minutes of the round. However, FIDE originally prohibited any spectators from viewing the games live in person after concerns from players of potential cheating in the important tournament. But, Tregubov revealed in the interview on Round 7 that they relaxed the rule after a complaint from Hamidreza of not being able to spectate his son. According to Tregubov, he was the only one to have made the complaint. Tregubov said Hamidreza will be allowed back in the venue if “he behaves accordingly.”

  • Chess GM Magnus Carlsen arrives late to Hikaru match in most awkward way – Dexerto

Chess GM Magnus Carlsen arrives late to Hikaru match in most awkward way Instagram: magnus_carlsenNorwegian chess player Magnus Carlsen had everyone laughing when he arrived late to a Twitch stream shirtless as the clock on his turn began to tick down. Magnus Carlsen is a successful chess player who in 2013 became the world’s second youngest chess player to win a world championship at the age of 22, utilizing his remarkable memory and positional style of play to smash the competition. He also has over 300k followers on Instagram, proving to be a very popular player. His competitor for this match, Hikaru Nakamura, became the youngest American to win the title of Grandmaster at the age of 15, and even himself has a large Twitch following of over 500,000. Naturally there was a sense of anticipation for this round, as both players are so highly decorated that the match promised to be equally suspenseful and fascinating viewing. However, once the game had started players and announcers alike looked baffled when all there was on Magnus’ screen was an empty chair, despite the fact that the clock on this turn had already begun to count down. “This is a little bit odd,” the announcer said. “I mean, do you think maybe he got confused? Remember a couple days ago we were starting at 3 minutes after the hour.” “That’s hard to imagine though because he’s been playing five days like this,” she continued. With a perfect sense of timing, Magnus surprised viewers when he peered into the frame shirtless. He quickly ducks out of frame again, and returns with only one button up, eager to make up for lost time and finish his round. “He lost track of time! He’s throwing on a shirt. Don’t worry I’m sure that’s not going to be screen-grabbed by anyone.” Another said “I gotta say, gents, talk about relaxed.” Hikaru looked on with a mixture of frustration and bemusement as Magnus darted back and forth from his chair in various states of undress. It was certainly a bizarre way to start off the game, but after waiting for an odd among of time for him to appear it gave everyone a good chuckle (except maybe Hikaru.)

  • Chess GM Kramnik says it’s more likely Hikaru has cheated compared to Hans Niemann – Dexerto

Chess GM Kramnik says it’s more likely Hikaru has cheated compared to Hans Niemann Hans Niemann/ Chess.comChess Grandmaster Vladimir Kramnik said in an interview with Dexerto that he believes it’s more likely GM and streamer Hikaru Nakamura has cheated in games than Hans Niemann. Niemann was accused of cheating in an over-the-board chess match by Magnus Carlsen in 2022 and has since dealt with the fallout of these claims. The International Chess Federation, FIDE, found no evidence that Niemann cheated in his win over Carlsen at the St Louis tournament in a 2023 report. The incident caused a rash of high-profile cheating accusations from various top players, one of which being Kramnik claiming Hikaru had more than likely cheated while playing Chess online. The Russian veteran based his assumption on Hikaru’s wild win streak that helped him break a blitz rating record. Chess.com, the platform Hikaru regularly uses said in a statement in 2023 that it “found no incident of cheating.” Kramnik, however, has stuck to his claims and said in an interview with Dexerto after the Clash of Blames tournament that he thinks it’s more likely Hikaru has cheated online than Niemann. “While there are some overperformances in [Niemann’s] stats, they are not extreme and don’t rank among the highest compared to others,” Kramnik said when asked about the allegations against Niemann. “He’s far from players like Hikaru, whose numbers raise more significant concerns.” When asked specifically about Nakamura, Kramnik said he is “simply looking at the statistics,” and wants a “thorough, unbiased examination by a group of mathematicians.” He also said the Chess.com statement from 2023 was “inaccurate,” and slammed an upcoming report by the website that has yet to be released. “Chess.com commissioned a report from a statistician, but it’s clear that the data and conclusions are flawed. The report hasn’t been published yet, and I hope it won’t be, because it’s entirely wrong. I’ve made it clear that I’m ready to publicly defend my position in a live discussion,” he said. The website released a report back in 2022 saying they found that Niemann “likely cheated in more than 100 online chess games,” between 2015 and 2020. Kramnik is now a mentor to Niemann as the Russian player helped prepare the American for his Speed Chess Semifinal match against Carlsen. The match was the first time the two had faced off since the allegations in 2022. Carlsen won the match 17.5 – 12.5. Niemann and Kramnik initially connected after the older player accused the young GM of cheating in an online match. Niemann offered to meet the veteran player in person following the allegations so he could “evaluate” his chess.

Chess Federation punishes players after bizarre draw prompts match-fixing allegations Nadeem RasheedThe International Chess Federation penalized two professional players after a match where both players moved only their knights ended in a quick draw, leading to accusations of match-fixing. Dubov and Nepomniachtchi, both grandmasters, faced off against each other during the 2023 World Blitz Championship, which also saw Magnus Carlsen and other top players participate in faster-paced games. However, the Dubov-Nepomniachtchi match became the source of controversy after both players moved only their knights around the board, forgoing established chess strategy and moving their pieces back to starting position. Commentators noted that the final position of the game was actually identical to the starting position, although each players’ knights had swapped their space with each other. Dubov and Nepomniachtchi given zeroes after suspicious draw Following the draw, both players were given zeroes, after the event’s Chief Arbiter Ivan Syrovy determined that the two players had breached rules stating that they could not “bring the game of chess into disrepute”. A statement from the arbiter, in conjunction with the International Chess Federation, read: “In my eyes both players are responsible for it, I consider they prearranged the result of the game. My opinion is based on the moves they played.” For more news and updates on the competitive Chess scene, check out the Chinese champion who had their title taken away after a questionable victory celebration.

  • Did GM Hikaru cheat? Chess.com reveals verdict on Hikaru cheating allegations – Dexerto

Did GM Hikaru cheat? Chess.com reveals verdict on Hikaru cheating allegations TSMAccusations that Chess Grandmaster Hikaru Nakamura cheated to obtain the highest-ever Blitz rating have officially been shut down. The chess community was thrown into chaos last week when Vladimir Kramnik accused Hikaru of cheating, sparking plenty of debate. While Hikaru called the allegations “garbage” and even went on a monster win streak to prove his innocence, the sparks continued to fly with Kramnik deleting comments that defended Nakamura. Now, Chess.com has officially weighed in with a verdict that there were “no incidents” of cheating after generating 2,000 individual reports on Hikaru’s games. Chess.com shuts down GM Hikaru cheating allegations On its website, Chess.com addressed Kramnik’s claims that the Kick streamer cheated while reiterating its commitment to taking cheating very seriously. “In the case of the recent accusations against Hikaru Nakamura by Vladimir Kramnik, we can say that we have generated nearly 2,000 individual reports on Hikaru’s games in our Fair Play system and have found no incidents of cheating,” they said. “Our team has done the math and various simulations of streaks for a player like Hikaru who has played more than 50,000 games. We have found that not only is a 45 game winning streak possible, it is in fact likely given the number of games played.” They further added that the claims “lack statistical merit” after speaking with statisticians and a statistics professor at a top university. As far as actual cheating goes, Chess.com revealed some wild numbers. In October of 2023, over 50,000 accounts were banned for cheating, including six titled players. Chess cheating scandals have been a hot topic ever since Hans Niemann bested Mangus Carlsen in an over-the-board tournament, making headlines worldwide and even sparking debate about whether he used an adult toy to cheat in the match.

Chess.com claims Hans Niemann cheated more than he admitted Twitch: STLChessClubChess Grandmaster Hans Niemann admitted to breaking the rules on Chess.com in the past, but the website claims he failed to provide all details. Niemann shocked the chess world by defeating five-time-world Chess Champion Magnus Carlsen at the Sinquefield Cup on September 4. However, Carlsen later withdrew, as fellow Grandmaster Hikaru Nakamura accused Niemann of cheating. Niemann denied cheating in an interview with STLChessClub and hit out at Hikaru for supposedly providing no evidence. The famous chess player said he has never” cheated in an over-the-board game,” but he admitted breaking the rules on Chess.com because he was “willing to do anything to grow” his Twitch channel. Chess.com decided to remove the accused player from their website and claimed that his statements contradicted the amount and seriousness of his cheating. Chess.com calls out Niemann over cheating allegations Chief Chess Officer Danny Rensch issued a statement, claiming the website has detailed evidence that contradicts Niemann’s initial statements. Rensch said, “we have shared detailed evidence with him concerning our decision, including information that contradicts his statements regarding the amount and seriousness of his cheating on Chess.com” In the interview with STLChessClub, Niemann claimed, “I cheated on random games on Chess.com. I was confronted. I confessed. And this is the single biggest mistake of my life. And I am completely ashamed.” Chess.com did not rule out Niemann returning, as Rensch shared, “we have invited Hans to provide an explanation and response with the hope of finding a resolution where Hans can again participate on Chess.com. Niemann’s cheating allegations have reached insane levels with some even suggesting he used an adult toy vibrating morse code to somehow cheat during live events.

  • Chess arbiter denies distracting French GM with shoe request at 2024’s biggest event – Dexerto

Chess arbiter denies distracting French GM with shoe request at 2024’s biggest event YouTube/FIDEControversy erupted at the Candidates chess tournament in Toronto after French Grandmaster Alireza Firouzja claimed an arbiter distracted him by requesting he change shoes. Ian Nepomniachtchi drew his Round 9 match against Alireza Firouzja with the black pieces on Sunday, but the Frenchman says his concentration was affected by an arbiter’s “shameful action.” Following the Candidates match, Firouzja posted a series of remarks on X, revealing that as he walked around during his game waiting for Ian to move, the chief arbiter approached him because his shoes were “making noise on the wooden floor.” “He told me to not walk and bring new shoes for tomorrow, but I have the formal shoe that is apporved and am wearing it for more than one year. This was a big distraction for me during the game and I completely lost my focus,” he said. However, Chief Arbiter IA Aris Marghetis shot back at those claims in an interview with Chess.com, revealing that fellow player Nijat Abasov had complained. According to Marghetis, Firouzja had been walking in a limited space and his shoes sounded more like boots with how he was walking. He had suggested the player either change how he walks or wear different shoes, but he didn’t threaten any disciplinary action. Marghetis also revealed that Firouzja threatened to file an appeal because the suggestion “distracted” him, but noted that he walked much softer after their exchange. He further added that the exchange happened during the middle of the match and Firouzja wasn’t under time pressure. So far, Alireza hasn’t filed an appeal and is set to compete against Fabiano Caruana with the black pieces on Monday. This isn’t the first time a player’s shoes have caused controversy. A similar situation occurred at The 2023 FIDE World Rapid Chess Championships when an arbiter asked Anna-Maja Kazarian to change out of her Burberry sneakers.

  • Chemistry prof educates Twitch viewers with office hours stream – Dexerto

Chemistry prof educates Twitch viewers with office hours stream Instagram/profmelkoA chemistry professor at the University of North Florida decided to hold his online office hours on Twitch, and the results were overwhelmingly positive. Profesor Melko originally posted a clip of his stream to Reddit’s r/chemistry section, asking for feedback and showing what his students thought of his Twitch idea. In the video, one student praised the concept, because they were able to watch it wherever they were. Others said it was super helpful, and they liked having videos they could go back and watch at any point. The big benefit is the stream and office hours help out anyone who works a lot. “That’s what kinda initially got me into this,” Melko said of his stream. “A lot of students, especially at my university, work or they’re taking like, four other science classes.” He went on to say that any other variables, such as family commitments or parenting duties, could make students’ lives busy, so giving them the ability to watch on their phone or check out VODs gives flexibility to their schedule. This was echoed in Melko’s Twitch ‘about me’ section, which states: “I was having trouble getting students to come to my office hours in person, so I started streaming on Twitch as a way to offer some of my office hours in a more accessible (and perhaps less intimidating) format to my students.” The praise grew on Reddit, too, where one redditor commented, “This is great! As a student I was and am never able to attend office hours because of classes, work, or homework. Wish I had you as a professor, haha.” Melko, not wanting to leave a student hanging, replied back: “You are always welcome to drop by the stream and ask away!” Met @horizonSci at TwitchCon. With over three million followers on TikTok, Chef Reactions is among the most popular food-focused creators on the short-form video app. Known for being a chef who reacts to cooking videos on the platform, his approach to doing so doesn’t always sit well with viewers. So often, in fact, he says a viewer he blocked has been trying to get him “kicked off” Twitter/X. Chef Reactions says viewer reports his videos In a series of tweets on January 18, 2024, Chef Reactions shared that a user has been trying to get the TikToker banned from Twitter/X because he blocked them. “Somebody’s been trying their best to get me kicked off this app because I blocked them a month ago. I’m not gonna dox them because I’m not a psycho but in case I disappear, you know why,” he said. Chef also says that the user has been reporting his videos, and shared a screenshot of a message from the person. “In retrospect maybe its for the best you blocked me. You’re not a nice person. You frequently abuse and harass people on Twitter for no justifiable reason. You think anyone who annoys or irritates you deserves your unfiltered abuse,” it reads. At the end, it reads: “You expanded to mocking real hardworking poor and lower middle class moms doing the best they can. You make fun of folks who use “jarlic” when i’m certain it’s probably far less expensive than fresh garlic. It’s one thing to mock somebody who can afford to do better. Many believe this user’s comments are about that video, but Chef said himself that she loved the video and “gets the joke.” It doesn’t seem to bother him too much, though, as shortly after sharing the blocked user’s message, the TikToker said he’s ready to get back to making videos again following a short break.

Chef Rachel shades Below Deck’s “Instagram influencers” amid Season 10 drama Instagram/chefrachelhargroveBelow Deck star Chef Rachel Hargrove is throwing some shade at the crew, as the fan-favorite is expected to leave the show after Season 10. Chef Rachel has been one of the top Below Deck stars for some time now, but amid her seemingly leaving the Bravo reality show, she has been posting some snarky comments on social media. Interestingly, Hargrove is quite an active poster on the Below Deck subreddit, where she’ll reply to fans’ questions and share some behind-the-scenes details about what her career is really like. In response to a post asking about past crew members talking about how Below Deck influenced their yachting careers, Chef Rachel revealed that her own boat is a better experience because of who is on it. Chef Rachel explains why her real boat is better than Below Deck According to the chef, her real boat consists of a crew that all get along and have Game of Thornes watching parties. “We respect each other’s work ethic and are a complete team. Real yachting is way better! [As opposed] to IG influencers with an STCW,” she said. An STCW stands for ‘International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers’ and is a basic training to work. Many fans suspected that Rachel was talking about fired Below Deck stew Camille, who was dismissed by Captain Sandy after Captain Lee had to deal with health issues. That’s not all, though. In a follow-up comment, the Below Deck chef promised to share even more details about the behind-the-scenes drama once the show is done. “When the show is done, I will share my details. But to be honest… I kinda don’t care anymore. I really love my industry, and I want to keep doing it. That means I wanna break until the next adventure,” she added. “Plus I saw past the smoke and mirrors. It put me off and that’s pretty much it. It was a good run and I can say it’s been great to meet all of you that are supportive.” For now, we’ll have to hold on and see what Rachel plans to share, but with the finale scheduled to air on March 20, we shouldn’t have long to wait until all the juicy details are on the table.

Chef disgusts TikTok by cooking shrimp in plane’s bathroom sink TikTok: barfly7777A chef has gone viral yet again for his cooking, but this time, he used an airplane bathroom as his kitchen. Chef Barfly is known on TikTok for cooking various meals in just about any bathroom he can find. He’s cooked French onion soup, baby back ribs, fried chicken, and most recently — shrimp and mashed potatoes. However, Barfly went above and beyond this time, cooking his meal in an airplane bathroom. TikTokers question how Chef got his cookware past TSA Admitting that it was a “terrible idea,” Chef Barfly used the bathroom sink of an airplane mid-flight to cook his latest smorgasbord. He even brought his own kitchen supplies like two 6V batteries wired to an immersion beverage heater. To make his shrimp and mashed potatoes drenched in garlic butter, he made sure the sink wouldn’t drain. Chef Barfly then filled the sink with water and shrimp as he submerged the beverage heater into the mixture. The shrimp then began to cook. He then mashed his potatoes in the same sink, which was emptied at that point. However, he used his hands for the whole process, leaving TikTokers disgusted by the whole ordeal. One viewer commented on his video, “Cooking on the diaper changing station is crazy.” While another wrote, “Eating it out of the barf bag is the most sanitary part.” One person even commented saying that Chef Barfly’s immune system must be “top tier.” While another asked the obvious question of how he got through TSA with his cookware. And though his cooking methods are clearly unsanitary, Chef Barfly continues to do his thing despite the negative commentary, as he’s grown a TikTok following of over 155K people who think his cooking is off the charts.

Cheerleaders support PewDiePie in T-Series YouTube battle with ‘Bitch Lasagna’ routine Cheerleaders of Lithuanian Basketball team BC Zalgiris Kaunas have stepped up in support of Swedish YouTuber PewDiePie in his fight against T-Series, by performing a routine to ‘Bitch Lasagna’. Bitch Lasagna is PewDiePie’s diss track, directed at T-Series, the Indian production company which is currently threatening his number one spot on YouTube for most subscribers. For months, PewDiePie has been fending off the competition, and even lost the lead for a matter of minutes last week, but the gap is currently back up to around 100,000 – thanks partly to Elon Musk’s appearance on ‘Meme Review.’ PewDiePie has also been backed by other YouTubers, notably ‘Mr Beast‘, who has done city-wide advertising campaigns, as well as a stunt at the Super Bowl, all in hopes of keeping an independent creator at number one on YouTube. But, it’s not just fans, celebrities and other YouTubers who are in PewDiePie’s corner, but the rest of the world also seems to be joining his fight too – as the highly publicized battle for the top spot rolls on. • Cheeky TikTok shows how to get a free pizza at Pizza Hut – Dexerto

Cheeky TikTok shows how to get a free pizza at Pizza Hut Pizza Hut / TikTokCreativity is key to success as a content creator, but apparently, it can also help you get free pizza. In a new viral TikTok, someone showed a ridiculous way that you can get a free pie from Pizza Hut. There is a lot of content on TikTok. Some people dance, some people make skits, and some simply conduct mischief. A user named ‘coolmax24’ most certainly falls into the latter category, as they came up with a get-pizza-quick scheme that is peak misbehavior. So far, the reactions to coolmax’s video have been mixed. Some people are impressed by the strategy, others are disappointed in the comedy, and others are simply concerned with the logistics. In essence, the idea is a simple one: You order a pizza from Pizza Hut drive-thru, they hand you the pizza, and, skipping a couple steps, you get another pizza for free. We won’t spoil the couple steps until you’ve seen the video. Viral TikTok shows how to get free pizza at Pizza Hut Now you know the steps we skipped. Basically, coolmax and his accomplices dumped all of the pizza from the box across the car. They did this with maximum speed, so that they could ask the cashier where their pizza is when she returned with napkins and whatnot. The cashier looked confused and the video ended with her seemingly prepared to grab them another pie. Of course, this method is a risky one. It remains unclear if they actually did succeed in getting another free pie, but people have speculated widely that it worked. Also, with the video having nearly 5 million views at the time of writing, this mischief will be hard to replicate. By this point, one has to assume that Pizza Hut workers are going to catch on sooner than later.

  • #ChavCheck explained: Controversial UK TikTok trend spreads across the globe – Dexerto

#ChavCheck explained: Controversial UK TikTok trend spreads across the globe TikTok: libbyelias/tia.porter/leylaadervishThose who grew up in the UK know that the ‘chav’ trend didn’t start on TikTok. For the rest of the world, it became a controversial cultural phenomenon in late 2020. But, what’s the #ChavCheck trend all about? And why do people find it so problematic? To everyone outside of Britain, ‘chav’ TikTok and UK TikTok are one and the same. Teenage girls with orange faces, block brows and gold hoops saying “chewsday” and miming to “Manchester Girl” by Sophie Aspin. The ‘chav’ trend has amassed over one-billion views since it took off in 2020. Sub-trends that stem from ‘chav’ include #ChavCheck, which now has over 500,000,000 views. The trend involves girls putting on their best ‘Essex’ accent or secretly filming their loud friends. Read More: Instagram is trying to become TikTok – For better or worse, TikTok has given chav culture a global regeneration. Makeup TikTok has been creating chav makeup tutorials, arty TikTok has created their own chav aesthetic, and comedy TikTok has been posting chav POVs. Even Mia Khalifa hopped on the trend! So… what exactly is a chav? Merriam-Webster defines it as “a young person in Britain… known for engaging in aggressive behavior.” But this might be a little outdated. A TikTok chav is typically a young woman. Her makeup is always at least three shades too dark for her skin tone, with oblong eyebrows and ‘concealer lips’. She usually wears big hoops and a slightly orange school uniform. Her hair has to be in a messy bun. ‘Chavs’ in the UK are thought to be loud, confrontational and irritating. TikTok user Bella Morehead claims the US equivalent is a “Cheeto girl”. Why is Chav TikTok so problematic? Many people are claiming that Chav TikTok isn’t as harmless as it first appears. In the UK, the ‘chav’ stereotype is associated with a lower economic class. The exaggerated Estuary English accents are a particular product of this. The word ‘chav’ is often used against those who grew up in poorer areas of the UK, and people feel the TikTok characters are culturally insensitive. Viewers also feel like the caricature shouldn’t be turned into a Y2K aesthetic or makeup look. Could Chav TikTok really be a fun way to laugh at the Brits, or is it more damaging than we think?

Hudson has been putting his phone down more often, instead focusing on improving himself outside of the limelight. “I’ve been going through a bunch of sh*t recently because everyone goes through sh*t and I’ll let y’all know that it’s healthiest for me or anyone to just set their phone down and talk to somebody or spend some time with themselves. “Social media seriously affects your mental health. That sh*t can get tough during quarantine — I know that. Spend some time outdoors, cook some food, go for a run. I want to see y’all thriving during these tough times. Hudson also thanked his fans for being by his side, and even reciprocated the affection. He told anyone who was struggling that they can “let go” in his DMs. View this post on Instagram “I f**k with you guys heavy. You guys always have my back through everything and feed me the positive energy that I need when I’m down. “I try and give back as much as I can being one person and reciprocating the same energy back is impossible but I can, and I will, let you know that you guys are my f**king everything.” It comes after rumors Hudson almost took his own life in September. The TikTok star debunked those claims, stating “I’m just a sad person, I’m not suicidal.”

  • Chase Hudson teases possible new girlfriend after Valentine’s Day date – Dexerto

Chase Hudson teases possible new girlfriend after Valentine’s Day date YouTube; Zach Sang ShowTikTok star Chase Hudson is taking the internet by storm after seemingly confirming he’s got a new girlfriend years after his split from Charli D’Amelio. Chase Hudson, aka Lil Huddy (or just ‘Huddy’ these days), is one of TikTok’s most prominent male influencers, boasting over 32 million followers on the video-sharing app. However, he’s since branched out from his status as a full-time social media star to become a music artist, notably releasing his debut album ‘Teenage Heartbreak’ in 2021. Huddy was also famous for his connection to TikTok queen Charli D’Amelio, who reigned as the platform’s most-followed creator for years before being dethroned by Khaby Lame last year. The two broke up in the aftermath of ‘dramageddon’ in 2020 when it was alleged that Hudson had smooched Nessa Barrett while he was still talking to Charli (although the details on that situation are a bit murky). Luckily, the two were able to make amends and seemed friendly until Charli got together with Landon Barker, Hudson’s friend, in 2022. This didn’t appear to sit right with Huddy, who called out Charli for being a ‘homie hopper’ in one of his songs. Since then, there’s been a simmering beef between Huddy and Barker — but it looks like Chase has finally moved on, if his latest social media posts are to be believed. Fans convinced Chase Hudson & Chiara are dating Fans are connecting Huddy to fellow influencer Chiara after she posted a pic to her Instagram stories on Valentine’s Day. In the pic, she showed a chalkboard on a beach with writing on it that read: “Happy Valentine’s Day Chiara.” On February 21, Huddy posted a photo to Instagram that showed him sitting on the beach cutting into a piece of cake. It definitely looks like a beachside date taken at the same spot as Chaira’s pic — and fans are all but convinced that he was treating her to a special Valentine’s Day affair. “I’m really happy for him, we will always support him!” one fan wrote on popular tea page TeaTokTalk. “When he is happy, I am happy.” “They both deserve to be happy,” another said. “I’m here to support them as always!” However, others aren’t convinced that it’s the same setup in both photos, leading to quite the conundrum among netizens as to whether or not Chase has officially moved on. For now, it’s not looking like anything is officially confirmed — something similar to the ongoing situation between Dixie D’Amelio and Josh Ricahrds, who are also rumored to be secretly dating.

  • Chase Hudson slams TikTokkers who ‘broke into’ the OG Hype House – Dexerto

Chase Hudson slams TikTokkers who ‘broke into’ the OG Hype House TikTok: Chase Hudson/YouTube: TodayTikTok star Chase Hudson – otherwise known as Lil Huddy – has hit out at the group of TikTokkers who broke into the Hype House and wore his clothes for a few TikToks. Like plenty of other popular content groups, the members of the Hype House recently revealed that they would be leaving their old group home in favor of a bigger spot as they have started to pick up plenty of other members. With their old house, the OG Hype House, laying empty in the meantime, some fans have seemingly overstepped the mark and broken in – making TikToks of themselves taking a look around and even trying on a few sets of clothes that were left behind. The bizarre situation unfolded on June 12 when a group of girls and another woman made TikToks of themselves inside the pretty barren home that the Hype House group had moved on from. One TikTok from an account named ‘mariaulaciaaa’ showed the older woman talking about being inside the house and then going through a few leftover items that she had found. Those included a whiteboard with names on it and a small pink helmet seemingly signed by a few of the Hype House members. https://www.instagram.com/p/CBV6052A44y/ However, that wasn’t all. Another TikTok was uploaded to that account of her dancing in Chase Hudson’s skeleton-themed jacket with another female while a pile of clothes lay behind them on the floor. https://www.instagram.com/p/CBV8IHTg88s/ As the bizarre videos went viral on social media, they grabbed the attention of Lil Huddy who was pretty bemused by what he had seen from the TikToks. “So today I woke up, checked TikTok, and saw that a few girls along with their MOTHER broke into our old house, and also took MY clothes. This is beyond f**king weird, how do people think this s**t is okay?” he tweeted. so today I woke up, checked tiktok, and saw that a few girls along with their MOTHER broke into our old house, and also took MY clothes. this is beyond fucking weird, how do people think this shit is okay? — Huddy (@xhuddy) June 12, 2020 The account later apologized for entering the house, claiming that they didn’t steal anything and were actually let in by a caretaker. Though, those claims have been disputed by different Hype House members. It remains to be seen if any further action is taken against the group of females who entered the house.

Chase Hudson shuts down rumors he tried to take his own life Instagram: Chase HudsonPopular TikToker Chase Hudson has had to debunk rumors that he took his own life after tea accounts on Instagram drove speculation from fans this week. In the last couple of days, Lilhuddy’s TikTok and Avani Gregg’s TikToks have been spammed with comments from users who believed that Chase had attempted to take his own life and that Avani Gregg had “saved him.” One comment read “Thank you for saving Chase, you are a hero!” Another read “Thank you for saving a wonderful king!” But Chase finally shut down the rumors in a TikTok posted on Thursday. Chase addressed the situation, confirming that he is okay. He said: “They’re false, I just wanna tell you guys that. I did not try to kill myself. I know they want me to kill myself, but I’m not going to. I haven’t been suicidal for quite a long while now. I’m just a sad person, I’m not suicidal.” Chase’s mum also responded to the rumors, too. TikTokroom posted a screenshot of a private message with Chase’s mom where she wrote: “It is a lie! He was with his friends and completely fine. It is all a big lie!” Chase’s mum said. • Chase Hudson shuts down Charli D’Amelio “promise ring” dating rumors – Dexerto

Chase Hudson shuts down Charli D’Amelio “promise ring” dating rumors YouTube: Chase Hudson / Instagram: Charli D’AmelioCharli D’Amelio and Chase Hudson were once TikTok’s star couple, but after kicking off “dramageddon” this summer, it seemed like the two were done for good — that is, until fans noticed something suspicious between them. [jwplayer ZXB9LNVP] Charli and Chase notably parted ways earlier this year, kicking up a storm of drama after Charli called out her ex-boyfriend for kissing another influencer despite still being emotionally involved with her, at the time. What ensued was nothing less than a grade-a online apocalypse, with Chase calling out a number of other male influencers for purported infidelity. However, he and Charli appeared to make up shortly thereafter, each posting an apology video for taking their private drama into the public sphere — but fans aren’t convinced that they’ve completely parted ways after the fact. Eagle-eyed internet detectives discovered that the two have been wearing matching rings, as seen in a series of photos and videos that sent shippers into a tizzy speculating that they could be “promise rings” — rings that denote a serious romantic relationship between two people ahead of the official engagement phase. However, it doesn’t look like this is necessarily the case, as Hudson explained during an October 16 interview with paparazzi that they are actually just “friendship rings” and not promise rings, as fans had hoped. “We have a friendship ring,” Chase clarified, going on to state that it had actually been Charli’s idea to get matching jewlery, in the first place. (Topic begins at 2:40) It looks like fans aren’t buying Chase’s explanation, though, with many taking to social media to note that it seems like an awfully sweet gesture for two people who aren’t supposedly romantically involved with each other. “Yeah, it’s totally normal for exes to have matching friendship rings and hang out EVERY DAY and not still have feelings for each other,” one commenter said of the situation. “Yeah, okay.” https://twitter.com/hshqcharli/status/1305367144016875522?s=20 “Okay, let’s just ignore when he said ‘friendship ring’ and just focus on Charli is the one who came up with the rings, aww,” another wrote. While it makes sense that Charli and Chase are keeping their friendship close to the chest, their secrecy doesn’t seem to be stopping fans from speculating about a purported romance between them. We have to admit – the concept of friendship rings is pretty adorable, though.

Chase Hudson responds to Josh Richards saying he has ‘no style’ Chase Hudson / Josh RichardsJosh Richards has had a chip on his shoulder about Chase Hudson for quite some time. But the TikTok star has finally responded, and he’s taken the high road. [jwplayer ZXB9LNVP] TikTok star Chase Hudson might only be 18 years old, but he’s already quite the internet celebrity. He has more than 25.6 million followers and around 1.4 billion likes, which is insane. Billboard has even named him as one of the top ten music influencers on TikTok. But unfortunately, when you’re that popular, someone is bound to have a problem with you. And in this case, it’s Josh Richards. It started on his podcast when he and his co-host, Dave Portnoy, made fun of Chase Hudson’s unique fashion sense. In their eyes, he had no style at all, and Josh event went as far as calling him an “a**hole.” Chase Hudson responded with class Their comments didn’t sit too well with Chase Hudson’s fans. But the man himself chimed in on the drama, and instead of adding fuel to the fire, he decided to take the high road. “I want this one to be up to the fans.” Josh Richards has said Chase Hudson has “”bad style,”” but do you agree? 🤔 (Credit: @HollywoodFix) pic.twitter.com/IIGCKaCEl7 — Dexerto Clips (@DexertoTrending) October 17, 2020 “Josh tried to say, like, you had bad style or something like that,” said an interviewer from The Hollywood Fix. He was referring to the comments on their podcast. “I think you got really cool style, man.” “I mean, I don’t want to say anything,” said Chase Hudson. He opened his hands and showed the camera some cool rings and black nail polish. “I want this one to be up to the fans. What do you guys think? Do you guys think I have an okay style?” Chase Hudson turned in front of the camera to show off his swagger. He was wearing a black and white facemask, a grey sweater, black jeans, a white belt, a brown bag, and matching brown leather shoes decked out in bling. “I think you’re unique in your own way, man,” said the interviewer. “Keep doing your thing.” “Thank you,” said Chase Hudson. It was a nice moment and one that he seemed to genuinely appreciate. But more importantly, he was able to turn something negative into something positive. Instead of feeding into the drama, he encouraged his fans to channel their energy into focusing on what they like about his style rather than the negative comments Josh Richards and Dave Portnoy said about it. After all, we could all benefit from a little more positivity in the world, and Chase Hudson’s classy response sets a good example for his fans and followers.

Earlier this week, some fans accused lilhuddy of staying quiet on the ongoing protests happening across the US and the world, supposedly failing to use his platform to inform his followers. “Chase Hudson been real quiet,” one fan wrote in a now-viral tweet, a sentiment that was echoed by many others. https://twitter.com/punker_irl/status/1266747095203053569?s=21 On Monday, YouTuber Taylor Caniff slammed lilhuddy for his lack of posts. He wrote: “For absolute clarity, the only reason I took a beat before posting about the historical situation unfolding our country was out of pure respect for George Floyd and his family. “The last thing I wanted to do was disrespect his ultimate sacrifice by commenting before I had a chance to educate myself about the situation and make absolutely sure I knew how to best honor him and his legacy. “Make no mistake I stand with George Floyd, his family, Black Lives Matter, and all those that have suffered at the hand of racial injustice! While I will never pretend to fully understand the scope of the problem, George Floyd’s death has drastically opened my eyes to the fact that not only do I have a lot to learn and grow from, but also need to be a consistent part of the solution.” He ended by saying “I love you all and thank you for growing with me”, after pointing to a link on all of his social media accounts to a hub for the Black Lives Matter cause with ways to help. Other members of the Hype House, including Tony and Ondrea Lopez, were seen attending protests in Los Angeles, and filmed themselves taking part on TikTok. Their former housemate Charli D’Amelio made a TikTok addressing the movement stating “As a person who has been given the platform to be an influencer… I have a job to inform people on the racial inequalities in the world right now.”

Chase Hudson responds to backlash after appearing in Vogue video Instagram: lilhuddyTikToker and singer Chase Hudson has addressed criticism after a video he filmed with Vogue was flooded with hate comments on Instagram. Chase Hudson a.k.a. Lil Huddy rose to popularity through viral video app TikTok, with over 31.8 million followers on the platform. Addison Rae received backlash for a similar situation back in April when she appeared in a video on Vogue’s Instagram page.

Chase Hudson hits back at TikTok fans mocking what he wears lilhuddy, InstagramTikTok star Chase Hudson, aka Lil Huddy, has fired back after being criticized for his outfit choice in one of his latest videos. Chase Hudson has quickly become one of the biggest creators on TikTok, with just under 20 million followers on the platform. While the online star has been no stranger to criticism since his rise to the top, with the recent Hype House founder feud and for his public relationship with Charli D’Amelio, he recently fired back at commenters who had criticized his dress sense. Hudson uploaded a video on May 9, which involved him dancing in a crop top from his new merch collection and was met with a lot of backlash for his outfit choice. As crop tops are typically seen as women’s clothing, the TikTok star raised a lot of eyebrows with the latest upload. But, Hudson responded, saying that he was “taking a stand against toxic masculinity.” https://www.instagram.com/p/CAOpYwsHYs8/ After receiving some harsh comments, Lil Huddy replied to a fan who had asked why he was wearing the crop top, revealing the decision behind his clothes. Chase said that he was wearing a crop top to stand up against “toxic masculinity” and inspire others to display their freedom of expression when it comes to clothing. He called for others not to be shy about their personal style, saying “I want people to wear whatever tf it is that they want to wear.” After revealing the motives behind the outfit choice, the Hype House star received plenty of support from fans, and the video itself has garnered over 2.4 million likes on TikTok. It might not mean that everyone will be wearing crop tops going forward, but the popular creator has likely inspired many of his fans to be more comfortable in whatever they choose to wear.

  • Chase Hudson fans outraged after TikToker suddenly quits Patreon – Dexerto

Chase Hudson is a popular figure on social media, boasting over 32 million followers on TikTok. While he might be known for his online presence, Hudson is also a budding music artist, releasing his first album ‘Teenage Heartbreak’ back in 2021. As an avid online entertainer, Hudson is no stranger to diversifying his content, and even started a Patreon on top of his ongoing projects. On his Patreon, he offered certain rewards to his subscribers, with one of these awards being “live hangouts” with fans for $8 a month. However, Hudson recently announced his departure from the platform in another broadcast, sparking outrage from fans. Chase Hudson quits Patreon, outraging fans According to viewers, Hudson had begun a live stream as part of his Patreon rewards back in December 2022, but technical difficulties prevented the broadcast from moving forward. Although he’d promised to do another stream for his subscribers, Hudson is instead leaving Patreon — and fans are upset. “‘Is this the last month of Patreon?’” He read a question aloud from a live viewer in a recent stream. “Yes, it is. Patreon was kind of like a little side mission, in a way.” This statement rubbed viewers the wrong way. One fan, in particular, called out Hudson’s claims in a lengthy rant, as posted to Instagram by tea page TeaTokTalk. “Completing your obligations to paying subscribers is work — work that you decided at some point you just didn’t want to do,” the fan wrote in a statement. “So, why offer that tier any more then? You should have just bumped us all down if you weren’t going to do [live hangouts] any longer.” Other commenters have also chimed in on the situation, with many asking that Hudson make a statement and be “held accountable” for the Patreon drama. At the time of writing, Hudson hasn’t publicly commented on the ongoing issue. This news comes after Landon Barker teased one of his unreleased songs, which fans were completely convinced was about Hudson and Charli D’Amelio.

  • Chase Hudson explains the surprising meaning behind America’s Sweetheart music video – Dexerto

Chase Hudson explains the surprising meaning behind America’s Sweetheart music video YouTube: Chase Hudson / VEVOTikToker-turned-music artist Chase Hudson has opened up about the true meaning behind the music video for his latest song, ‘America’s Sweetheart’ — and there’s more to it than meets the eye. Chase Hudson is more than a social media star; the influencer, like many of his TikTok-famous counterparts, has also jumped into the music scene to kickstart a surprisingly successful career. Already boasting a popular hit with ’21st Century Vampire,’ he released emotional ballad ‘America’s Sweetheart’ shortly thereafter — the music video for which sparked speculation about his dating life almost immediately. The video featured Hudson’s ex-girlfriend, Charli D’Amelio, and seemed to show the two in a romantic light as Chase appeared to sing about their past relationship. However, both influencers made it clear that they are just friends once the speculation kicked up — and a new statement from Hudson might put the dating rumors to rest for good. Hudson released the first installment of a series documenting the process behind creating his music video on May 12, and revealed that the video is moreso about a dark time in his life than rekindling an old relationship. According to Chase, the music video represents three moods: “being upset, being mad, and being scared,” which he eloquently portrayed by being pulled out of a grave by Charli and even smashing a table full of glass dishware. “The song is truly about a sad time that I’d gone through in my life,” the star explained. “Without moments like those, I would never be able to grow into the person I’ve become today. That’s why I think this is important, to reflect. Not to bring up the past, but to channel it, because past emotions are valid ones.” (Topic begins at 2:45) While it seems obvious that the “sad time” Hudson mentioned could very well refer to his breakup with Charli (especially when taking the song’s lyrics into account), ultimately, it’s about his growth as a person as a result of these feelings, be they romantic or not.

Lil Huddy has opened up about what it was like to be in a public relationship with TikTok sensation Charli D’Amelio in a new episode of the Hype House’s reality show on Netflix. Charli and Chase began dating in late 2019, much to the delight of their fans who loved the pair’s relationship. However, in April 2020 they ended up breaking things off, saying that they were still “close friends” but that splitting was “what’s best for the both of us.” Since then, Charli has starred in one of Chase’s music videos, and there were even rumors that the pair had got back together after images of them kissing leaked (though there was controversy among fans over the source and date of the images.) Now, in episode two of the Hype House’s reality show on Netflix, Hudson opened up on what it was like to be in a public relationship with such a huge star. “Social media’s brought me a whole new way of life. But there’s also a bad side. I’ve known Charli for a long time and we used to date. She was my first love,” he began. “Just having a public relationship was just hard. My relationship with Charli was publicized everywhere. What really starts to take a toll on you is just the way that you’re judged.” Chase went on the explain the effect that social media had on them both throughout the relationship. “It’s like hard to keep yourself together all the time when people have a thought or a tweet. It constantly stressed us out.” “I just definitely got in my head about what people said about the two of us, and I’m very closed off now because of it, so thanks for that internet.” When asked whether he wants to get back to the way things were between him and Charli, he responded: “I mean… I don’t know. I don’t know what the future looks like.” Whether they eventually get back together remains to be seen, but there is no doubt that fans of the two will be keeping an eye out as rumors continue to circulate on social media.

Chase Hudson apologizes to fans after Charli D’Amelio TikTok drama Twitter: Chase HudsonChase Hudson has apologized to his fans, as well as his ex-partner Charli D’Amelio, as tensions about the pair’s April break-up flared up on social media last week. The TikTok star also stated that he wants to set “a better example” for his followers. It looks like the Tiktok Apocalypse has finally fizzled out. After tensions flared last week between Hudson and former partner Charli D’Amelio, both sides have apologized to one another. Rumors about Hudson cheating on D’Amelio with Josh Richard’s ex-partner Nessa Barrett were confirmed to be true, with Charli going on a tweeting spree about their break-up. She dismissed Hudson’s original defense of being single when the “kiss” happened. “You shouldn’t have come to my house without telling me [about the kiss,” D’Amelio said in a now-deleted tweet. While the heavyweights of TikTok collided, with everyone taking sides, it seems all has been made up in the days since. There was one outlier — Hudson himself — who hadn’t spoken publicly since the blowup. However, he finally released a statement on July 13, apologizing for his actions. “I know I haven’t been that active on social media since last Monday, but I really just wanted to come on here and really apologize to you guys for the way things unfolded online,” Hudson stated on an Instagram story. He added that he shouldn’t have aired the drama online. He also said that he reached out to Charli, as well as some of the Sway boys including Bryce Hall, to apologize to them before making the video. “I should have just done my part and kept it offline. I made sure to apologize to Charli, and I made sure to talk everything through with the Sway boys. Everything is handled, but it still should never have happened.” “I’ll be learning a lot from this as a person, growing from it, and setting a better example for all you guys.” https://www.instagram.com/p/CCmUo5VHZF7/ Charli apologized late last week, revealing she felt “guilty” over the drama as it unfolded. ““The drama that has happened in the last few days was handled completely immaturely, myself included,” she said. “It should not have happened online, and it breaks my heart to see the people that I love get hate. It makes me feel so guilty that I had any part [of it].” “I apologize for what I said. I was extremely hurt, and I felt betrayed. So, I did what I had to do to make myself feel better, but I know that was not the right thing to do, and I will make sure that does not happen again.”

Chase Hudson and girlfriend under fire after “inappropriate” church photoshoot Instagram: huddyTikTok star Chase Hudson and his girlfriend, Chiara Hovland, are facing backlash for wearing “inappropriate” clothing to a church for a photoshoot. Chase Hudson is a social media star and music artist who formerly dated Charli D’Amelio, TikTok’s second most-followed creator. Their relationship ended amicably in 2020 — but after Charli began publicly dating her current boyfriend, Landon Barker, it seems like things soured between the two exes. Now, Landon is dating influencer and model Chiara Hovland, and the two have not been shy about posting their relationship online… but their latest escapade is raising some eyebrows among fans. Chase Hudson & Chiara Hovland under fire for “disrespectful” church photoshoot On December 15, Chase posted a series of photos on Instagram with Chiara at a church for a photoshoot, which he captioned, “Pulling up to Christmas church like this.” In some of the photos, Chiara wears a fishnet top without a bra, exposing her skin beneath the material. Chiara’s choice of outfit has sparked outrage among a fair few fans, who took to the comments section to berate the couple for their fashion decisions at such a locale. “This is so disrespectful towards the church,” one fan wrote. “Showing up with a shirt that shows almost everything at a church, be better and show some respect.” “This isn’t cool or trendy, it’s disgusting and so disrespectful,” another said. “How freaking sick. I’m so tired of celebrities/influencers thinking they have a right to disrespect religion,” yet another said. Thus far, both Hovland and Hudson have yet to publicly respond to the backlash, leaving frustrated fans even more upset as they await a reaction to the outrage. This is just the latest news to come from Hudson after fans speculated that none other than Olivia Rodrigo threw shade toward him on TikTok earlier this year.

  • Chase DeMoor suspended for two years and fined $100k after Misfits Boxing DQ – Dexerto

Chase DeMoor suspended for two years and fined $100k after Misfits Boxing DQ Chase DeMoor has been suspended from boxing for two years and fined $100k after being disqualified for continuously punching a downed opponent. Nobody could’ve expected where influencer boxing is today, with events popping up left, right, and center. Notably, KSI’s Misfits Boxing has been a leader in the space — signing a five-year deal with DAZN Boxing earlier this year. The latest event, Series 006, on April 21, saw YouTuber JMX go toe-to-toe with NFL star Le’Veon Bell as the headline fight. Although, the slew of undercard bouts were just as exciting. Among them, we saw Chase DeMoor go blow for blow with Stevie Knight, which ended in an outright brawl between the two camps. While the fight didn’t last long, with DeMoor KO’ing his opponent in the first round, he didn’t stop his punches and continued to strike Knight even after he was down on the canvas. DeMoor was officially disqualified from the event, and now he’s been hit with a boxing ban and fine as a punishment. Chase DeMoor receives two-year ban and $100k fine According to Chase in an April 29 tweet, the American football pro has been suspended from boxing for two years, along with receiving a $100k fine. “I got 24 Month (2-year) suspension and a 100k fine as my punishment for the DQ,” he wrote. “Thanks, everyone for your support.” He added: “I’ll be taking my talents to golf now.” An emotional video was posted alongside the tweet highlighting DeMoor’s journey as a boxer and the build-up to his fight. As it stands, it seems as if influencer boxing is here to stick around for a while — meaning it’s not completely out of the question to assume we’ll see Chase touch gloves again after his suspension is up.

Charly Jordan threatens to quit social media over Tayler Holder relationship leak YouTube: Charly JordanAfter what was initially portrayed as an amicable split from her ex Tayler Holder, social media star Charly Jordan has now threatened to leave her internet following due to the messy reality of the breakup. While the split was initially mutual, as the pair explained they were “still best friends,” that no longer appears to be true. The first episode of Holder’s new Instagram reality show ‘House of Creators’ revealed a messier side to the breakup from his perspective. Not long after, Jordan took to her Instagram page to explain how the new footage has impacted her. “Just because my side of the breakup wasn’t filmed, doesn’t make it less relevant,” she said. “I try to keep details of my relationship offline so please be sensitive to my feelings.” Moments later she shared a few videos with her 4.4 million followers, crying to the camera and explaining that a break might be necessary. “I’m sure as probably everybody’s seen, some personal and private details of my relationship have now been put online. For my own mental health, I’m not gonna be on here for a little while.” Despite appearing together in a joint March 30 YouTube video to explain “why [they] broke up,” Jordan stressed that she no longer likes “sharing [her] personal and private life.” As a result of the latest drama, she’s “gonna take a break for a little bit.” However, the timeline of that break remains unclear at the time of writing. Jordan will “still be posting” certain content for her fans online, “but not stories or anything,” she explained. “I’ll be back, I just need some time,” she then said in an Instagram story a few hours later. With millions of followers on Instagram along with more than 350,000 YouTube subscribers, Jordan appears to be stepping away from it all for a brief period. There’s no telling when she might go completely dark, nor when she might return after doing so. Update: April 8 Jordan explained a bit more about what “tipped her over” on Instagram as Holder’s reality show made it a point to give his account of the breakup. “They can say completely false information about me and I wouldn’t have control over it,” she said. “I’m not the type of person to share personal details of my relationship online like that. I don’t feel like I really owe anybody an explanation because there was nothing that happened between us like bad. And they’re going to beef it up for the show, a lot, and they’re using it as a main selling point.” Still, Jordan isn’t letting it hold her down, seeing as her career as a DJ just got a major help with the recent signing of a residency to Las Vegas. While she understands that she has little to do with what Holder includes in his reality show, she’s still making advances in her life and career.

  • Charly Jordan speaks on Sommer Ray “slander” over Tayler Holder drama – Dexerto

Charly Jordan speaks on Sommer Ray “slander” over Tayler Holder drama YouTube: Tayler Holder, BFFS with Dave Portnoy and Josh Richards, Sommer RayInfluencer, DJ, and businesswoman Charly Jordan has spoken out about the current drama involving herself, ex-boyfriend Tayler Holder and model Sommer Ray, confused as to why the drama is still ongoing months later. For those out of the loop, TikTok star Tayler Holder and influencer-model Sommer Ray began dating back in early 2020. While everything seemed hunky dory at the time, the two appeared to go through a few purported breakups before things ended for good. In October of that same year, Holder got together with Charly Jordan, with the influencers opening up about their relationship publicly in a humorous and long-awaited Q&A video. However, amidst all this, Sommer appeared to take several pointed shots at Charly, hinting that she’d broken “girl code” and refusing to name her in paparazzi interviews discussing the topic. Months later, after Charly and Tayler had broken up, Ray claimed that Tayler had begged her to get back with him while he was dating Charly — a story he vehemently denied. Now, Charly has spoken out on the drama… and she says she’s unsure why Sommer continues to bring up the subject after such a long time has passed. “It’s so crazy to me,” she said during a June 16 episode of the BFFS podcast. “Why, after literally a year, this girl’s had multiple boyfriends, has been doing her own thing, why does she still care to bring this up? It’s really funny that she would bring it up right before one of Tayler’s biggest fights, right before one of my biggest residencies in Vegas.” “I just don’t really know her, that’s the crazy part,” she continued. “Like, yo, you slandered me online for four months straight.” (Topic begins at 45 minutes) That’s not all; Charly also claimed that she attempted to speak with Sommer Ray in person at a party, but the influencer “turned her back on me [and] refused to speak to me.” While Sommer has yet to speak out after Charly’s latest tell-all interview, it wouldn’t be surprising if she makes a statement sooner or later… and with more than a few high-profile female influencers vying for a boxing match, there might be a chance we see these two throw down in the ring someday.

Charly Jordan slams TikTok trolls for saying to “kill herself” over her singing voice YouTube: Charly JordanCharly Jordan is taking aim at TikTok after she received some intense criticism due to her singing voice, finding other social media platforms far more amicable to creators. Charly Jordan is an all-around internet superstar. Boasting over 5 million followers on Instagram and 408,000 YouTube subscribers, the fitness model, brand owner, director and DJ has accrued quite a resume for herself over the past few years. While being a top-tier influencer might seem like a charmed life, it can be anything but; plenty of social media stars have shared their harrowing experiences of being harassed, bullied and even stalked by fans and haters. Charly Jordan is no exception to this rule. Although she boasts a successful career as a model and all-around “fit-fluencer,” she’s not exempt from the ire of internet trolls, as evidenced by a pointed Instagram story she posted on May 17. View this post on Instagram The influencer shared a short clip of herself singing in the bathroom, which was quickly followed by a rant that rallied against the brutal nature of TikTok commenters and the overall culture of rudeness that can be found on the platform. Apparently, while her Instagram followers were a big fan of her vocal talents, it seems that TikTok was decidedly less positive about her singing voice, with Jordan claiming that she’d been sent death threats over the simple video. “I just had to come on here for a second,” Jordan began. “F**k TikTok, it’s so ridiculous. Every time I post a singing video to Instagram, everyone’s like, ‘We love it! It’s so good! Keep working on your voice!’ But I go on TikTok, and everyone’s like, ‘Go kill yourself! You can’t sing!’ So…” This is far from the first time social media gurus have been lambasted for their musical talents on TikTok; popular TikToker Dixie D’Amelio removed a teaser for her song with Wiz Khalifa in December 2020 after critics bombarded the video with hateful comments. Plenty of other stars have also spoken out about the overwhelming negativity on the app, with even the likes of music artist Taio Cruz getting bullied off the platform, claiming he’d suffered from “suicidal thoughts” due to the harassment. Charly Jordan’s latest Instagram story further adds to the conversation regarding negativity on social media — a problem that still has yet to find a definite solution as more and more content creators speak out about it.

Charly Jordan slams gossipers for pregnancy rumors with Tayler Holder YouTube: Charly JordanModel, DJ, and internet star Charly Jordan recently confirmed her romance with TikToker Tayler Holder — but that isn’t stopping fans from spreading rumors to the contrary, leading Jordan to hit back at the speculation in a pointed Instagram story. [jwplayer ZXB9LNVP] Charly Jordan and Tayler Holder officially revealed their relationship to the world in a spicy Instagram post on October 13, not too long after Holder and Instagram model Sommer Ray appeared to part ways. Although there is clearly some bad blood between Sommer and Charly — with Sommer throwing some not-so-subtle shade toward her ex-bestie during a paparazzi interview — it’s quite clear that Charly and Tayler are currently an item. Of course, that isn’t stopping fans from spreading rumors and discussing her past flings. Charly hit back at these fans in a series of pointed Instagram Stories on October 22, calling out commenters for discussing completely illegitimate claims about her love life and other relationship drama. https://www.instagram.com/p/CGS46H5n6x_/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link “I feel like a crazy person sometimes, when I’m looking through comments and it’s all relationship drama comments,” she began. “And it’s all these people talking about and commenting stuff that is completely inaccurate and having full conversations about it.” “Y’all are just wasting your day, everyone else’s day!” she continued. “Let’s talk about something that matters, you know? Or, if people just did like, any research… like, I love you guys so much, for real. …but the internet, in general, the shit people comment, I’m just like, we are smarter than this!” https://www.instagram.com/p/CGp8FD4HZ4O/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link That’s not all; Jordan even debunked speculation from paparazzi that she is expecting a baby, completely shutting down the rumors by poking fun at such wild claims about her personal life. “Not only did they spell both of our names wrong, which we’re not even going to talk about, but apparently, I’m expecting a baby and didn’t even know it!” While it seems that rumors come with the package of celebrity status, it’s clear that Charly isn’t having any of it, and is trying to stay out of the drama as best she can while fighting back at gossip culture, as a whole.

However, the model is facing some backlash after a TikToker uploaded a viral video claiming that Jordan forced people to show their follower count to gain entry to her party. Why would I let strangers into my house? People are so rude.” She also uploaded a video to her Instagram stories claiming that she was “never having a house party again,” showing hundred dollar bills floating in her pool alongside a broken ping pong table. That’s not all; Jordan went on to upload a TikTok further showcasing the damage, noting that the grass outside her home had been trampled and that blood had been smeared all over her yard’s back wall. The influencer then explained the “follower count” fiasco — she claimed that matters had become so chaotic that security purportedly asked attendees to show their followers, allegedly saying, “If Charly follows you, we’ll let you in.” Click here if TikTok fails to load. “Everybody misinterpreted that,” Charly said, before claiming she’d hopped up on her back wall to yell, “I don’t give a f**k how many followers you have. Charly Jordan responds to Sommer Ray feud over Tayler Holder TikTok star Charly Jordan has responded to rumors around her feud with Sommer Ray after she was spotted at a restaurant with Tayler Holder shortly after the pair had broken up. Charly Jordan has built a massive following across TikTok and Instagram and is known for producing music, creating entertaining videos for her fans, and more. However, the social media star received some backlash after she was caught in drama surrounding fellow influencers Tayler Holder and Sommer Ray, who recently confirmed that they had broken up again. I hate the fact of how I have to address my person life on the internet. And tell everyone my every movement but I am single. And I am aloud to have friends. — Tayler Holder (@TaylerHolder) July 11, 2020 Charly Jordan was spotted having lunch with Tayler Holder, after images surfaced on July 11, which led to Tayler later revealing that he was single yet again and “allowed to have friends.” However, Sommer Ray was seemingly not too happy with the pair’s outing, simply tweeting “girl code doesn’t exist to some b*tches I swear,” shortly after. Charly recently responded to Sommer Ray, in an Interview with Celebrity Livin, claiming that she was already in the restaurant for a meeting and added that she and Tayler were just friends. “It was supposed to be a work meeting but the person bailed, so I just texted him to come have lunch,” she revealed, “they turned it into a whole thing, but he’s just the homie.” When she was asked about the online feud with Sommer Ray, Charly explained that she had no bad blood and that the brief clip was taken out of context. Topic starts at 0:29 Although she wanted to make amends with Sommer, she claimed that she was unable to do so, adding that the fitness model had blocked the pair of them on social media. “I wanted to talk to her but she kinda blocked both of us so I can’t do that,” Jordan admitted. She followed up by revealing she was just going to give her fellow influencer some space before talking it out and that she was willing to put the drama behind her.

  • Charly Jordan responds after outrage for allegedly lip-syncing racial slur – Dexerto

Charly Jordan responds after outrage for allegedly lip-syncing racial slur YouTube: Charly JordanTikTok star and model Charly Jordan has come under fire after eagle-eyed critics claimed she lip-synced song lyrics that included a racial slur during a recent video — but Jordan is adamant that she did not mouth the offensive word. Charly Jordan is a hugely popular influencer across multiple platforms, boasting over 4.8 million followers on TikTok, 4 million on Instagram and a whopping 238,000 subscribers on her YouTube channel. Despite her relatively positive content — which normally focuses on her day-to-day lifestyle, fitness routines and photoshoots — it seems that Jordan has landed herself in hot water after uploading a TikTok that went viral for all the wrong reasons. The video, which was uploaded on January 13, featured Jordan and fellow influencer ‘sjbleau’ dancing to the newly released song “Best Friend” by Saweetie and Doja Cat. (Side note — it’s a bop.) View this post on Instagram It’s not their dance moves that critics are taking issue with, though; instead, many viewers are accusing Jordan of lip-syncing a racial slur that pops up during the song. “She said the n word,” one commenter claimed. “She mouthed it.” “Looked like she said it to me…” another chimed in. Charly, however, has vehemently denied mouthing the word, as told by her replies in the comments of her TikTok. “For everyone commenting, I was very aware of the lyrics ahead of time and and didn’t say it, but the way I’m lip-syncing, it looks like it in the video,” she wrote. “I’m sorry to anyone who is confused, but just to clarify, before making this dance I was aware of it and would never say it,” she added. Despite her explanation, critics still aren’t convinced that she didn’t say the offensive term in question, with many accusing her of simply backtracking after being caught red-handed. “So you knew the lyrics, lip-synced it, rewatched it, and decided to post this vid,” one user replied. “Girl, this isn’t your word to say,” another commented. It doesn’t look like Charly is taking the video down in spite of the criticism, which continues to mount in wake of its publication a day ago.

  • Charly Jordan opens up on panic attacks from Instagram post – Dexerto

Charly Jordan opens up on panic attacks from Instagram post Instagram: charlyjordanTikTok star Charly Jordan hasn’t been shy about discussing mental health in the past, but has recently spoken out about the panic attack behind one of her most “beautiful” Instagram posts. Charly has had a pretty big year as far as online success goes: she’s accrued 240k YouTube subscribers on top of her 4 million followers on both TikTok and Instagram each. She’s also found herself dating TikTok heartthrob Tayler Holder, who had found himself involved in an on/off relationship with Sommer Ray back in the earlier half of the year. While she has seen a lot of success in 2020, as we all know, mental health doesn’t discriminate, and Charly has opened up a little on how she has been affected. Speaking on the above image, although it looks incredibly positive and inspiring, there’s actually a fairly dark story behind it. As Charly explains in the below YouTube upload, she’s suffered from anxiety throughout her entire life, and has had frequent panic attacks — including one shortly before that photo was taken. “I was sitting in the van and, you know, it’s the most beautiful place ever with the best people ever,” she said. “There’s absolutely nothing wrong, and I’m sitting there having a panic attack.” After explaining what happens to her body when she starts having a panic attack, Jordan added: “I calmed down, my breathing was able to be relaxed, and that mental feeling of panic is still there… I could barely stand up.” Throughout the video, Charly spoke about how she copes with her mental health issues and her anxiety, as well as how her friends helped her in that particular situation, which likely makes her feel much more comfortable about the situation and her struggles. As Charly explains, they powered through the shoot they were on and she got the incredible photos to go with it — and made note of how important it is for people to know what triggers their anxiety and ways to deal with it.

  • Charly Jordan calls TikTok backlash “crazy” after using Black creator’s dance – Dexerto

Charly Jordan calls TikTok backlash “crazy” after using Black creator’s dance Instagram, @charlyjordanDuring a Black TikTok dance strike, influencer Charly Jordan copied a Black creator’s dance without giving credit and received a ton of backlash. Now, she’s calling those complaints “crazy” and claiming race has no place on TikTok. Charly Jordan has 11.2 million followers across TikTok and Instagram. In a since-deleted video, she posted a dance without credits that fans later discovered was copied from a Black creator (tracy.oj, who has 354.9K followers herself). This video has caused a ton of backlash, as it ties directly into an emerging subject of race discourse on the platform. That discourse has bubbled up into a Black TikTok dance strike, where Black creators are refusing to make dances until popular influencers credit them appropriately. At its core, failing to give “DC” (dance credit) is considered poor etiquette — especially when Jordan had no issue giving herself credit for a dance she made to Megan Thee Stallion’s “Thot S**t.” Further, Jordan’s response to that backlash has failed to satisfy any critics. As seen in the screenshot, Jordan made a dance to “Thot S**t” and gave herself credit. But, as has been shared in videos (like jrealnj’s) criticizing the influencer — she failed to credit tracy.oj when stealing her dance for branded content. https://twitter.com/defnoodles/status/1409190149791965188 Jordan isn’t the first influencer to be called out for not crediting the original creators of dances she has used in her rise to stardom. When Addison Rae got backlash for not crediting Black creators during her appearance, she responded by saying that it was “hard to credit during the show,” but that there were credits in the YouTube upload and she ‘loves them all.’ That response was taken fairly well. Jordan’s? Not so much. The influencer posted a video excusing the lack of credit because 1) she did the dance poorly and 2) it was part of a brand deal. Then, she doubled down and called the racial concerns “crazy.” Charly Jordan responded to the backlash for not crediting creator who created the choreography. pic.twitter.com/7rJWIH3j4A — Def Noodles (@defnoodles) June 27, 2021 “What does bringing race or culture have anything to do with TikTok dance creds? It’s just crazy in my mind.” This sums up Jordan’s response to the backlash and that has left people dissatisfied, to put it lightly. The majority of replies to Jordan’s video include mentions of “tone deaf” and “ignorance.” The entire Black TikTok dance strike has ties to creators feeling ignored while influencers make money off of their creativity, which leads to one fan’s summary of the problem at hand. As ‘ramonaslefteye’ writes on Twitter, “if you want to make money off dances, why not make up your own?” As of the time of writing, Jordan has deleted her branded video and has not posted any response to the backlash… against her response to the backlash.

Although things seemed amicable between them, it quickly devolved into a battle of “he-said, she-said,” with Jordan feeling as though her side of the breakup was not accurately portrayed in Holder’s reality show — although Holder argued that he’d given her multiple opportunities to appear in the production. It appeared as though things were well and truly done for the couple… but come July, rumors of a rekindled romance for Charly and Tayler surged, thanks to photos taken at an Independence Day bash the two attended. Jordan then added more clarifications to claims she was offered money to appear on the show herself, wherein she said “no amount of money” would be enough for her to be on a reality show, and that she is disappointed that she has to “sign a contract and pay money to be respected by one of her friends.” View this post on Instagram Saying that the breakup was a “dark time” in her life, she mentioned how “nobody wants to ask or consider” why she doesn’t want to be on the reality show. When the two announced their break up in a YouTube video, they emphasised that they still “love and support each other” and made it clear that there was no bad blood between the two. When discussing the breakup in the video, Charly said: “And it’s not because anything bad happened. It’s just, we’re both living super different lives right now.” At the time, the two said that they wanted to remain friends. However, they have since unfollowed each other. The star now has over 19 million followers on the app, and he regularly gets millions of views on his videos. In an interview with Variety, Charlie was asked how TikTok has transformed his music career, with the singer saying in response: “It made me very open-minded to showing the process. I used to have this mentality of ‘I need to go away for an extended period of time and work on my music alone and not show anybody and give away the secrets.’ But now I can give every secret away. It actually makes the songs more vibrant.” He explained that his pivot to TikTok started “a little bit out of boredom,” adding: “I had to perform for people digitally, and [that] meant making songs in front of them. When millions of people get excited hearing you make a song, it makes you want to finish that song and make it even better. It took the place of me being backstage.” Charlie has posted a number of videos to TikTok, but he went on to reveal that he doesn’t regret sharing any of them. “My main goal on TikTok is to prove that everything is musical, and the way to convey that message is through comedy,” he said. “I think I’ve proven that you can drop a bunch of spoons on the floor, and they make notes. People can burp and fart, and you can autotune that, and put it to a beat.” Puth’s songs have been immensely popular on TikTok, and millions of people across the world have used the star’s tracks as audio in the background of their videos.

Charlie Puth explains how Mariah Carey kept him from releasing Light Switch Charlie Puth/Mariah CareyPopular musician Charlie Puth has revealed how Mariah Carey played a part in delaying the release of ‘Light Switch,’ a song he promoted on TikTok for several months until it was released. Just like Lil Nas X and Olivia Rodrigo before him, Charlie Puth has taken over TikTok with a constant flow of videos doing various trends and promoting his music to over 15 million followers. Charlie began teasing his new single, Light Switch, in September 2021 on TikTok, and quickly began receiving millions requests that he release the track as soon as possible. However, he continued to take his time, teasing the song more and more up to its release. Thanks to an interview with Audacy Check In and fellow TikToker Bruontheradio, we now know why it took so long for the song to release – and that Mariah Carey had a part in its delay. Charlie Puth explains how Mariah Carey delayed Light Switch During the interview with Bru, the two TikTok stars talked about how Charlie took several months to release the long-awaited Light Switch. Bru asked: “For a song like Light Switch, you teased it for so long, we’re talking like five months here. Isn’t it frustrating to hold onto a banger [song]?” Puth went on to explain that it was, in fact, incredibly frustrating because he didn’t want to mess up the release of the song. Charlie said: “How dare I put it out during Mariah Carey’s December month, so we couldn’t do that. [The record label] and I talked about releasing it in November, but it just seemed like it was too soon.” (Topic starts at 2:20 in the video) In regards to Mariah Carey’s “December Month,” Charlie is referencing how the famous singer is known for her song “All I Want for Christmas is You,” which many fans consider being the ‘theme song’ of the holiday. Many fans believed the wait for Light Switch and constant teasers on TikTok was just part of Puth’s marketing technique, but it seems that the musician genuinely didn’t feel it was ready to release. The song was finally made available on January 20, 2022, and is the first single from his upcoming album: Charlie.

  • ‘Charlie Bit My Finger’ to be removed from YouTube after $760k NFT sale – Dexerto

‘Charlie Bit My Finger’ to be removed from YouTube after $760k NFT sale YouTube: HDCYT‘Charlie Bit My Finger,’ a classic viral video that first appeared on YouTube back in 2007, is set to be removed from the platform after being auctioned off for $760,000 as a non-fungible token (NFT). It doesn’t matter how old you are or how long you’ve been on the internet. Practically everyone has seen or at least heard of the infamous 55-second video of a toddler named Charlie chomping on his brother’s finger. Not only is it one of the most viewed viral videos of all time, it’s also an important part of internet history. However, despite still being live on YouTube, it’s currently unlisted and will soon be removed after being auctioned off to the highest bidder as a non-fungible token for a staggering $760,000. For those unfamiliar with the term, it’s a unit of data stored on a blockchain that certifies a digital asset to be unique and not interchangeable. In other words, the person who bought it has become the sole owner of the video. The iconic video was auctioned on a website created by the Davies-Carr Family who made the video, which can be found here. In addition to selling the video, the highest bidder also has the opportunity to “create their own parody of the video featuring the original stars, Harry and Charlie. They can also star in it themselves or have someone else step in for them to help create a modern version of the classic. The family also issued a statement, saying, “Charlie Bit My Finger has been a huge part of the Davies-Carr family’s lives for the past 14 years, and they are excited to welcome others to become a part of their story. This is not the end of the beloved video, but rather a new beginning.” It’s a bittersweet moment for people who loved re-watching the video time and time again. However, it might not be gone forever since the extent of the future owner’s copyright remains unclear. As for what the family plans to do with the money, they told CBS they plan to use it to fund the boys’ tertiary education, which takes “priority” over everything else.

Charli & Dixie D’Amelio’s dad wants to buy TikTok amid ban threats Instagram: marcdamelioCharli & Dixie D’Amelio’s father Marc says he is putting together a group of investors to buy TikTok amid threats of the app’s ban from the US government. Over the last few years, various members of the US government have made it clear that they are interested in potentially banning TikTok from being accessed across the country. Citing ownership ties to the Chinese Government, US officials fear that parent company ByteDance is selling user data to China, creating a potential security risk. In mid-March 2023, The US issued their latest threat to ByteDance — sell the app or get banned — and Marc D’Amelio is looking to buy it. Marc D’Amelio is assembling investors to buy TikTok On March 18, 2023, Marc shared his interest in purchasing the short-form video platform in a tweet on his profile. “I am putting together a group of investors to pursue the purchase of TikTok,” he said. At the time of writing, his tweet has been viewed over 50,000 times with dozens of replies to his post. It’s unknown who the investors he’s found so far are, so we’ll have to wait to see if there are any other big names in the mix, like his famous daughters Charli and Dixie D’Amelio. Charli and Dixie are known as platform pioneers, quickly becoming two of the most followed creators on TikTok in just a few short years thanks to their various dance trends, music, appearances in TV shows, and more. Whether or not their dad can purchase the platform solely depends on if ByteDance is willing to sell its stakes in the app — and their plans haven’t been announced just yet. Over the past year, sisters Charli and Dixie D’Amelio have seen extraordinary success thanks to their thriving social media career, finding their fame on video app TikTok and racking up millions of followers each. But their insane fame didn’t stop the girls from being super nervous when they were invited onto the VIEWS podcast, as they explained that they watched the hugely successful YouTuber growing up, and were “freaking out” about being on the podcast. With all three stars being some of the biggest names on the internet, they all naturally had some stories to share about strange things that have happened to them regarding money, and David was the first to kick things off with a crazy story about a birthday party. “I got a call once, and this kid was having a sixteenth birthday party,” he began. “And this guy’s like, ‘hey, this family wants you out there. They’ve got $10,000 in cash. Can you just show up?’ And I was just like, f*** yeah!” Read More: How does Addison Rae make money? – The star revealed that just as he was about to leave the party after about an hour and a half of being there, the dad came up to him and offered him more money to stay longer. The girls didn’t disclose how much money they made from the bizarre encounter, instead simply saying it was “a lot.” With their popularity increasing by the day, there’s no doubt that the young stars have even more bizarre stories about the behind-the-scenes of TikTok fame.

  • Charli & Dixie D’Amelio slam “super weird” paparazzi for camping outside their homes – Dexerto

Charli & Dixie D’Amelio slam “super weird” paparazzi for camping outside their homes YouTube: CosmopolitanSocial media stars Charli and Dixie D’Amelio have called out the “super weird, super uncomfortable” practices of paparazzi following them and camping outside their homes. With the success of TikTok around the globe, a new batch of social media stars have been born, but perhaps, there have been none more successful than the D’Amelio sisters, Charli and Dixie. The pair have a massive fanbase across TikTok, Twitter, YouTube, and Instagram, and obviously, that means they attract media attention too. However, it seems as if some paparazzi have been overstepping their boundaries, with the sisters calling them out for sitting outside their houses. It came during the January 21 episode of their 2 Chix podcast as the pair got into things that have really been grinding their gears, with the paparazzi camping outside their homes being a big one. “Something that’s been grinding my gears – paparazzi. Kevin, Josh, this is for you guys – please stop waiting outside my house,” Charli said. “Super weird, super uncomfortable, super big invasion of privacy. Home is supposed to be a safe space, not where you have people waiting for you. Super weird, thank you.” Dixie added that whenever she leaves her apartment, she’ll see paparazzi illegally parked outside, and they’ll follow her when driving. “They used to be really chill, we’d be like ‘hey, not right now we’re just sitting outside’ but now, I feel like since everything is closed, and they’re getting zero content from anyone, they kind of know our routine now,” she added. Topic begins at 0:30 Dixie further noted that it’s quite “scary” in Charli’s situation, as her home is all glass and so there’s plenty of ways to look inside, if they wanted to do so. TikTokers have called out paparazzi before overstepping boundaries, with some being called out for “stalking” the D’Amelio’s in particular, even when they’re not doing much at all. Whether or not they change after being called out by the sisters remains to be seen, but, maybe they’ll back off a little bit.

  • Charli & Dixie D’Amelio reveal why they get “freaked out” by paparazzi – Dexerto

Charli & Dixie D’Amelio reveal why they get “freaked out” by paparazzi YouTube: CosmopolitanCharli and Dixie D’Amelio are two of TikTok’s biggest stars — but just because they’re at the height of social media fame doesn’t mean they’re prepared for everything that stardom brings, as they revealed during a recent podcast episode. [jwplayer ZXB9LNVP] Charli D’Amelio is currently reigning as TikTok’s undisputed queen, boasting over 93 million followers on the app — more than anyone else who has ever used platform. She and sister Dixie have become the veritable posterchildren for the popular video application, and have scored everything from major record deals to their own drink at Dunkin’ Donuts, between the two of them. Considering their celebrity status, it comes as little surprise that they and other TikTokers are being assailed by paparazzi at every turn, which anyone can see with a quick look at Instagram tea pages and photographer YouTube channels. https://www.instagram.com/p/CF0PgYnjdbW/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link Although it might seem like a normal part of celebrity life, Charli and Dixie aren’t huge fans of the paparazzi, as told during an October 15 episode of their podcast, ‘2 Chix.’ During the episode, Charli called out these photographers, calling it “weird” that someone would film her eating at a restaurant. “A lot of the time, their intention is to be like, ‘Let’s see if we can get them to say something that they didn’t want to say, or that they’re gonna regret,’” Charli said. “When it’s happening, there’s so many flashing lights and so many people. It gets really, really stressful sometimes.” “You don’t want to say the wrong thing, because it’s going to get taken out of context, or you’re going to be looked at as rude,” she continued. “But if you say, ‘Hey I don’t want to answer any questions,’ you get the whole, ‘Oh, she thinks she’s a celebrity, she’s so rude.’” Big sis Dixie even revealed that she’d had a breakdown while playing cards with her family because there was “too much going on,” with everyone speaking at once “freaking her out” — similar to being crowded by the paparazzi, in her opinion. “I never even watch the videos [from paparazzi], because I’m afraid of what I’m going to say,” Dixie admitted. (Topic begins at 11:30) This isn’t the first time TikTokers have hit back at the paps; Nessa Barrett similarly hit out at a photographer who filmed her crying during dinner, upset that such a vulnerable moment was shown to the entire world without her consent. The rise of social media stars in the world of traditional celebrities continues to bring up the topic of privacy as more and more influencers break into the mainstream space.

Now, on May 27 an old episode of the podcast has been reuploaded with a new title and some other slight changes on Spotify and Apple Podcasts, despite being originally published in November 2020. The original episode was titled “‘Too Much Coffee’ Thursday,” in which they spoke about Charli getting driving lessons, changes to their hair and makeup, and their “blossoming friendship” with fellow TikTok star Ellie Zeiler. The latest episode uploaded on May 27 is titled ‘Driving + We Wish We Could Go Home,’ but has the same description as the original episode. [jwplayer ZXB9LNVP] The social media world was left in a frenzy after a YouTube video of the D’Amelio family sharing a chef-prepared meal with James Charles went viral – and for all the wrong reasons. While Charli was slammed for coming across as “ungrateful” for her follower count, both the girls came under fire for displaying disgust at the idea of eating a snail, Dixie throwing up after trying the unusual delicacy, and Charli asking if they had any dino nuggets instead. What followed was an extraordinary reaction from critics, and 16-year-old Charli lost around one million followers as a result. This was along with receiving vile death threats that brought her to tears on an Instagram live. Chef Aaron May clarified that it was the production team’s idea to sneak snails onto the girl’s plates for a funny reaction, and he said “I love Dixie and Charli. I’ve worked with them before, I’m gonna work with them again. I think it’s a little blown out of proportion.” Dixie has also apologized, explaining that Chef Aaron is a “close family friend” and said that ”in no way would I ever want to come off as disrespectful because it was all jokes.” Charli and Dixie poke fun at the drama Now the girls have proven to the internet that there’s no bad blood between them and the chef by posting an image of them all together, along with dinner guest James Charles. The group all look like they’re having a great time, grinning at the camera. James even holds a dino nugget over his mouth as a reference to Charli’s comment, and it’s safe to say the four look as close as ever. The girls have certainly not allowed the backlash to get them down, and the image has certainly given their supporters a chuckle after a week of chaos.

Charli & Dixie D’Amelio hit back at Mr Beast trivia cheating allegations YouTube: Charli D’Amelio, Dixie D’Amelio, MrBeastThe D’Amelio sisters, famous for their TikTok presence, incited the ire of the gaming community after winning Mr Beast’s Creator Games on October 17 — a feat that many accused them of cheating to achieve. Mr Beast is hailed as one of YouTube’s most popular — and most creative — content creators, having hosted a slew of outrageous challenges on his channel in exchange for an equally outrageous sum of cash. While he previously hosted a “Creator Games” (a massive virtual gathering of YouTubers for a huge game of rock-paper-scissors), this time, Mr Beast’s YouTube celebrity challenge was a trivia quiz, which the D’Amelio family found themselves winning. However, it seems that their victory was much to the chagrin of Mr Beast’s viewers, who accused Charli and Dixie of cheating, claiming that their parents fed them the answers or that they looked up the questions on their phones. Charli and Dixie spoke out on the backlash during an episode of their ‘2 Chix’ podcast, where they hit back at the accusations against them. “I didn’t think winning a contest would ever come with so much hate,” Dixie said of the matter. “I’m probably one of the most hated people in the gaming world right now.” “There’s this one picture that keeps coming up of us with our phones out,” she continued. “That picture is when they brought us on screen while we were waiting. …you can’t cheat if you don’t know the question, which we don’t know until it’s on, and no one’s watching the video!” (Topic begins at 8:42) “The other thing is, if Mr Beast had a problem with it being four of us, he would have told us that it wasn’t okay, or that we should pick two,” Charli added. “So I feel like that was just a big misunderstanding. People also think we’re keeping the money, which is 100% not true.” Mr Beast has also spoken out regarding the stacking of “unfair teams” in the games, explaining in a tweet that, “honestly, the tournament was just for fun and to bring the community together, and I’d appreciate if you were to get mad at anyone, get mad at me. It was my decision.” The criticism is noted and I’ll definitely keep all the teams the same size next time! 100% my b ❤️ — MrBeast (@MrBeast) October 18, 2020 It’s unfortunate that what was meant to be a “fun” and carefree event resulted in so much drama, but it looks like Mr Beast is keeping the criticism in mind for the next Creator Games he decides to throw in the future.

Charli & Dixie D’Amelio hit back at “body shaming” on TikTok Yearbook, Charli D’Amelio – YouTubeSisters and internet stars Charli and Dixie D’Amelio are two of TikTok’s most popular content creators — but even they aren’t immune to mean comments, as they revealed in a series of Tweets hitting back at “body shaming.” Despite being TikTok’s most followed creator, competitive dancer Charli D’Amelio has spoken at length about the hardships that come with internet stardom, including feeling self-conscious about one’s outward appearance. In a burst of positivity, Charli retweeted a photo of her friends on the beach and complimented them in her caption, rating them all a 10/10. However, she continued with a message to all her fans, encouraging them to look in the mirror and compliment themselves and reminding her followers that they’re all beautiful in their own way. “F it, we are all 10/10s, and by all I mean everyone, because we are all special and perfect in our ways,” she wrote. “That what makes us so incredible, and let’s tell each other that more often.” f it we are all 10/10s and by all i mean everyone because we are all special and perfect in our ways and that what makes us so incredible and let’s tell each other that more often — charli (@charlidamelio) March 26, 2020 “We should go to our nearest mirror and compliment ourselves,” she added in another Tweet. “It is what needs to be done.” we should go to our nearest mirror and compliment ourselves it is what needs to be done — charli (@charlidamelio) March 26, 2020 Charli isn’t the only one speaking out about the matter, either, as older sister Dixie also wrote a lengthy Twitter thread about body shaming, admitting that she has been affected by mean comments about her appearance in the past. “…body shaming is something that so many people deal with and I struggled with [it] for a long time,” she wrote. “I finally know that I can’t change myself to make everyone happy, but for people reading comments… and thinking that being ‘too’ big or too small changes their overall ‘rate’ is not healthy.” and think that being “too” big or too small changes their overall “rate” is not healthy. Thanks to their fame, however, their body-positive messages are reaching a huge amount of viewers as they continue to grow in popularity on an ever-booming platform.

Charli & Dixie D’Amelio face backlash after Beyoncé gifts them Ivy Park PR package YouTube: Dixie D’Amelio, BeyoncéCritics are once again outraged over TikTokers Charli and Dixie D’Amelio after Beyoncé unexpectedly gifted the two social media stars with Ivy Park PR packages. It seems the duo are almost constantly surrounded by some sort of outrage, with the latest backlash coming after fans accused Charli of trying to copy her sister’s music career for merely saying one line in Dixie’s upcoming song. Now, social media users are even more outraged at the pair after they revealed that none other than Beyoncé herself had gifted them a PR package from her own luxury athleisure line, Ivy Park. Obviously excited about this turn of events, Dixie posted about the package on her Instagram story — and was immediately met with outrage from netizens who seemed to feel that the two internet stars are not worthy of such a gift. “Beyoncé really sent Dixie D’Amelio Ivy Park when all her fans have to ask to use their parents credit card,” one fan tweeted. “What is this mess?” Beyoncé really sent Dixie Damelio ivy park when all her fans have to ask to use their parents credit card, what is this mess? — Xander💽 (@x444nder) February 11, 2021 “I’m going to assume this was the PR team’s doing without Beyoncé’s approval,” another said. “I refuse to believe she sent Charley Horse and Dixie Stampede D’Amelio some Ivy Park. • Charli & Dixie D’Amelio explain why they “hate” Instagram tea pages – Dexerto

Charli & Dixie D’Amelio explain why they “hate” Instagram tea pages YouTube: Dixie D’AmelioTikTok stars Charli and Dixie D’Amelio are not a fan of Instagram “tea” pages, as they revealed during a particularly heated segment of their latest podcast episode. [jwplayer pNjHVqy4] “Tea pages” are the new tabloids of the social media age. These accounts, most usually found on Instagram and Twitter, aim to update fans of influencers with the latest hot gossip and drama, even to the extent of checking who’s following who online. While the idea has been around for some time, it seems that these tea pages have become particularly volatile in the past year or so, garnering hundreds of thousands of followers — all while dutifully following spats between the net’s biggest personalities. However, it seems that quite a few content creators are decidedly not fans of such accounts, with many speaking out against tea pages with allegations of sparking or spreading rumors where there are none. Dixie and Charli D’Amelio are two such influencers. As two of TikTok’s most famous stars, it makes sense that they’d be a hot topic on tea pages, and they’re getting tired of all the melodrama. “I hate, hate, hate tea pages,” Dixie said during a January 21 episode of their ‘2 Chix’ podcast. “I will hate them forever. It’s so dumb. …when they post a picture of [Malu Trevejo’s] hair, they know that she’s going to get hate, and that they’re gonna get more comments.” “They posted something… they were like, ‘We don’t support hate, or being rude to us,’” Charli added. “They were talking about how the hate they get is too much. And it’s like, imagine how the people you post about feel when your entire account is about bashing other people?” (Topic begins at 16:19) “I know you want clout, and I know you want attention from it, and want to share — I get it,” Dixie continued. “But post the tea. The whole ‘updates’ thing… you’re basically a bystander and kind of an instigator to hate.” Many fans have called out such pages as TikTokRoom and TikTokInsiders in wake of this latest episode — but Dixie made it quite clear that TikTokInsiders were not responsible for their ire. • Charli & Dixie D’Amelio explain why negativity towards TikTokers ‘isn’t justified’ – Dexerto

Charli & Dixie D’Amelio explain why negativity towards TikTokers ‘isn’t justified’ Instagram: marcdamelioSocial media sensations Charli and Dixie D’Amelio have revealed what they think about the negativity towards TikTokers. 18-year-old Charli D’Amelio and her sister 21-year-old Dixie D’Amelio are two of the biggest stars on TikTok, with an astonishing amount of followers between them. The pair have gone on to launch a variety of projects since rising to fame on the app, including releasing music, appearing in their own reality show, and releasing a clothing line. In an interview with In The Know, Charli and Dixie were asked whether there are any labels or titles that they don’t like, and the sisters shared their thoughts on people’s negative associations with the term ‘TikToker.’ “It’s not that I don’t like this — and I will explain after — but the term ‘TikTokers’ is definitely a little like, so what?” Dixie explained. “I don’t see a problem with it, but the negative tone that people put with it I do have a problem with. “People start [their careers] in all different ways; people get found on the street, people are found on YouTube or Vine: Justin Bieber and Shawn Mendes. So I don’t think the negativity toward it is justified. There are so many talented people and smart people who have gone on to do amazing things from TikTok that I don’t see the problem with it. Anytime people are like, “Oh, those TikTokers…” Like, maybe you should get on it too!” She went on to say that, “there are so many different outlets for people on TikTok, and I just don’t think it needs to be so negative.” Charli went on to share her thoughts on people’s reactions to her appearance on Dancing with the Stars. “Yeah, I feel like when it comes to all the labels and everything … I mean, this past month has been very funny for me to watch from an outside perspective, because for so long, people were like, ‘She’s not talented. She has no talent. She’s a dancer. She’s just a TikTok dancer.’ “And since I started doing Dancing With the Stars, it’s been, “She’s too good to be on the show. She’s a professional dancer.” So I’m kind of just like, I’ll do whatever I do, and however people interpret that is on them.” Fans have loved seeing Charli and her mom Heidi appear on Dancing with the Stars, and she even recently released her first single ‘If You Ask Me To.’

  • Charli & Dixie D’Amelio break down over “constant” hate in Hulu show premiere – Dexerto

Charli & Dixie D’Amelio break down over “constant” hate in Hulu show premiere TikTok: Dixie’Damelio / D’Amelio ShowIn the first episode of their new reality show on Hulu, Charli and Dixie D’Amelio broke down in tears over the constant hate they get, claiming it “hurts so much” and is the reason why they “don’t go out.” The D’Amelio Show premiered on Hulu on September 3, and although it was a huge moment for the family and their fans, it peeled back the curtain and showed Charli and Dixie breaking down in tears over the constant hate they get. Not only did the emotional scenes show fans the toll it’s had on them, but it also gave their biggest critics and haters a chance to see the reality of the situation – that they’re two innocent girls being picked apart by vultures. “[All the hate] makes me feel like I don’t deserve anything,” said Dixie as she struggled to contain the emotion. “I’m trying to do everything I can to better myself, and it just gets worse. They break up every single thing I do and make it a negative thing.” For example, she described an incident where someone posted a clip of her leaving the gym, and people criticized the way she looked. “Everyone picks apart every single thing I say and do and the way I look. I know it’s just people’s opinions, but it hurts so much.” Charli also touched on the issue in a separate scene, saying, “I don’t know. I feel like it just gets more difficult every day. This is why I don’t go out. This is why I don’t want to walk to anyone,” while breaking down in tears. View this post on Instagram Fans reacted to the first episode by showing their support on social media, claiming it broke their heart to see them cry, and they can’t imagine what it’s like to be in that position. There will be many more emotional scenes in subsequent episodes. However, there will also be plenty of heartwarming ones, too. After all, it’s supposed to capture the ups and downs of their lives and show fans what it’s like. And the first episode did that perfectly.

  • Charli & Dixie D’Amelio accused of cheating after winning Mr Beast event – Dexerto

Charli & Dixie D’Amelio accused of cheating after winning Mr Beast event YouTube: MrBeastDespite the lighthearted nature of Mr Beast’s Creator Games tournament, some viewers have accused winners Charli and Dixie D’Amelio, along with their parents, of getting outside help during the trivia rounds. Mr Beast’s first Creator Games event in 2019 was a huge hit, collaborating with a host of high profile influencers and having them compete in a rock paper scissors tournament to determine the ultimate winner. While the first event peaked at an already enormous 662,000 viewers, this year’s version of the games smashed that record with an incredible 1 million peak concurrent viewers. The star-studded lineup included Addison Rae, Bretman Rock, Dream, and of course Charli and Dixie D’Amelio, who were announced as being a team rather than separate competitors. Despite being joined by their parents for the first round, in the final round Mr Beast only permitted one member of the family to face off against ZHC in a trivia final. Dixie took on the challenge, and ultimately won the $300,000 prize to give back to their fans in need. However, despite the fact that the event was intended as lighthearted entertainment to give to a good cause, the comment section of the video has been flooded with accusations that the D’Amelio family cheated. Some objected purely to the fact that the D’Amelio sisters brought their parents along despite not having been specifically announced in the lineup, claiming that they can’t “excuse the fact that it was a 4v1.” Some also pointed out that the parents’ phones were visible on screen, and may have been used to cheat, saying “this is not what you do in a competition like this.” This is my first ever tweet and I know that you know the D’amelio family looked at their phone sometimes and of course their parents were not included in the matching….but you let them in anyway and that is not what you do in a competition like this!!!😡😡 — Aadhavan P (@Aadhava98737868) October 18, 2020 The influx of hate and accusations towards the D’Amelio family caused Mr Beast to speak out on his own social media after the live. “I see some people mad that I let multiple people compete on a single team in the trivia tournament!” he began. “Honestly, the tournament was just for fun and to bring the community together and I’d appreciate it if you were to get mad at anyone, get mad at me. It was my decision lol” I see some people mad that I let multiple people compete on a single team in the trivia tournament! • Charli D’Amelio becomes first TikTok star to hit 50 million followers – Dexerto

Charli D’Amelio becomes first TikTok star to hit 50 million followers Charli D’Amelio, YouTubeInternet star and dancing sensation Charli D’Amelio has reached yet another massive milestone on TikTok, becoming the first creator to reach a whopping 50 million followers on the platform. Just weeks after becoming TikTok’s most-followed content creator ever, D’Amelio has once again made a huge mark on the site, reaching 50 million followers in an unprecedented move for the app. This development comes after the long reign of fellow TikTokker Loren Gray, who was hailed as the ‘Queen of TikTok’ for just over a year after dethroning Lisa and Lena in March 2019. While Gray was also the first creator to earn 40 million followers on the site, D’Amelio has since overtaken that record with her latest milestone, continuing her upward success on a constantly blooming website. Her huge surge in success echoes the likes of YouTube’s very own Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg, who similarly skyrocketed to 100 million subscribers in August 2019 after years of already reigning as the site’s most subscribed creator. However, unlike PewDiePie’s massive celebration over his achievement, D’Amelio didn’t actually acknowledge her rise as TikTok’s biggest star, explaining that she hadn’t found the time to celebrate as she usually does. “We celebrate almost every milestone that I hit pretty well but I don’t think we celebrated number one,” she admitted in an interview with ET. “I think I was sleeping when it happened, it literally must have happened at like four in the morning.” (Topic begins at 3:40 for mobile readers) While she’s experiencing huge success on TikTok, Charli also claims that internet fame isn’t all sunshine and roses, revealing that she’s been followed into bathroom stalls by over-enthusiastic fans and even yelled at by fans’ mothers during private dinners. That’s not all — D’Amelio’s 50 million follower milestone also follows her highly-publicized breakup with fellow creator Chase Hudson, with the two coming clean about their split after weeks of fan speculation. In spite of the breakup and online hate, D’Amelio is shining brighter than ever before — and it doesn’t look like she’s stopping her roll anytime soon!

Charli D’Amelio’s secret TikTok account goes viral after Jake Paul fight Instagram: Charli D’AmelioCharli D’Amelio made a secret TikTok account to document her trip to the Jake Paul fight, but fans quickly cottoned on, and it went viral with almost three million followers in two days. Charli D’Amelio’s popularity has been off the charts for a while now. She has 113 million followers on TikTok, 40 million followers on Instagram, and 5 million followers on Twitter. With a new reality show about her family releasing soon, the momentum isn’t slowing down. However, it’s easy to forget she’s still a teenager who wants to have some semblance of a normal life. That’s probably what motivated her to create a secret TikTok account filled with casual content. However, it’s not so secret anymore now that the account has gone viral after the Jake Paul fight. Going by an inconspicuous username with no profile picture and bio, Charli has been uploading content on the account for two days now. It has everything from singing, laughing, dancing, posing, and getting ready for events, including her appearance at the Triller Fight Club PPV. It’s nothing out of the ordinary for a typical 16-year-old. The only difference is that it’s Charli D’Amelio. What is Charli D’Amelio’s secret TikTok? Hidden account reaches massive milestone Instagram: charlidamelioCharli D’Amelio’s secret TikTok account continues to pop off, reaching over 11 million followers despite Charli herself not advertising it anywhere. When fans first started discovering Charli’s secret account, she reached the monumental milestone of 1 million followers in just a day, one of the fastest to ever do it. While the TikTok account is a clear separation from Charli’s main one, fans want all the D’Amelio content they can get, and they’re still finding this account despite no promotion of it. To make matters even harder for fans, the account goes under a name you could never randomly attribute to Charli, with simply a string of numbers rather than a name or obvious signifier. After reaching the 1m milestone in a day, the hidden account — named user4350486101671 has been on a steady incline and is well on its way to being one of the most followed on the app. On it, Charli posts fairly simple, generic TikToks, dancing and singing with friends and family. At the time of writing, the most recent example is this video, which features other TikTok stars such as sister Dixie’s boyfriend Noah Beck, dancing to Megan Thee Stallion’s ‘Thot Sh*t.’ It’s unclear why Charli decided to make this new account but her fans are already loving it and have followed her in hordes – over 11 million, to be exact. Charli D’Amelio’s mom speaks out on Lil Huddy cheating rumors Instagram: Charli D’AmelioCharli D’Amelio’s mom Heidi has chimed in on the rumors that Chase Hudson, aka Lil Huddy, cheated on her daughter following a viral diss track from fellow TikTok star Josh Richards. As she has risen up the ranks to become one of TikTok’s biggest stars, gaining over 44 million followers on the social media platform, Charli D’Amelio has had a spotlight cast onto her private life – especially on her relationship with Chase Hudson. The pair, who have been dating for around six months, have created plenty of content alongside each other – constantly showing off their relationship to fans. However, fellow TikTok star Josh Richards claimed that Lil Huddy had cheated on his girlfriend, prompting outrage and plenty of questions from fans and fellow TikTokkers. While onlookers have been pretty upset with the situation, Charli D’Amelio’s mom, Heidi D’Amelio, has hit out at the overall response to the drama. Commenting on an Instagram post, D’Amelio’s mom said: “Ugh this is disgusting!! No one but Charli and Chase know what is going on with them! Everyone has decided they know what happened. How can anyone have these thoughts? They are horrible!!” Heidi also had a message from fans who have taken a stance one way or another as well. “Please spread positivity!!! Please!! Always!!!” she added. https://www.instagram.com/p/B-fwGpvn4Wq/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link Of course, Heidi didn’t offer further insight into the situation with Charli and Lil Huddy, so it is still unknown as to what is going on between the pair. Both of the TikTok stars have been pretty quiet since all of the drama started back on March 27 and fans of the pair are seemingly just hoping for an answer one way or another. At this point, they’d probably settle for a quick social media post with an explanation, than a full video diving into the ins and outs of what has unfolded.

  • Charli D’Amelio’s mom shuts down rude fan asking for $100k – Dexerto

Charli D’Amelio’s mom shuts down rude fan asking for $100k YouTube: Heidi D’AmelioCharli D’Amelio’s mom, Heidi D’Amelio, was about to give a fan $100,000 — but stopped short after they started getting rude with her. It’s no secret that the D’Amelios are basically TikTok royalty. Their youngest daughter, Charli, held the title of TikTok’s most-followed creator for years before being dethroned by Khaby Lame. last year Her big sis, Dixie, is also one of TikTok’s most prominent influencers, and even boasts a blooming music career that has become her primary focus over the years. Collectively, the D’Amelio family also has their own reality show on Hulu. With major brand deals, luxurious trips, and more all over their social media accounts, it makes sense that fans think the D’Amelio’s are loaded up to their eyeballs. However, one fan took things to the next level by requesting a jaw-dropping amount of money from the family matriarch, Heidi. Heidi D’Amelio shuts down entitled fan asking for $100k In a screenshot taken from her Venmo account, Heidi shared a request she’d gotten from a fan asking for a whopping $100,000. But rather than a heartfelt note attached to the request explaining the reason they asked for so much cheddar, the fan instead posted an insult: “F*ck you.” Heidi wasn’t having it. She wrote a scathing reply to the fan in a caption on Instagram, saying that she had actually considered giving the fan that much money but stopped short when she saw the insult attached to their request. “Oh, Ally,” she wrote. “If you are going to ask me for $100,000, you should ask a little more nicely. I was going to say yes, but you were rude, sooo….” Heidi’s supposed generosity is definitely shocking — but fans are mostly here for her clever comeback to the rude request and don’t think she’d actually considered giving them that much money in the first place. While she’s certainly not spending her money on entitled fans, she might consider donating to Landon Barker’s medical costs after he apparently caught a punch in the face supposedly defending her daughter, Charli, at a party in LA over the weekend.

  • Charli D’Amelio’s hilarious wisdom teeth removal goes viral on YouTube: “Do I look great?” – Dexerto

Charli D’Amelio’s hilarious wisdom teeth removal goes viral on YouTube: “Do I look great?” YouTube: Charli D’AmelioTikTok’s number-one creator just got her wisdom teeth removed — and her vlog documenting the entire procedure is nothing short of hilarious. In May 2020, TikTok star-turned-music artist Dixie D’Amelio got her wisdom teeth taken out. The ordeal was instantly a viral hit among her fanbase, showing the ‘One Whole Day’ singer loopy out of her gourd and sobbing uncontrollably. Luckily, the painful operation is in the past… but little sis Charli has finally taken her turn at the dentist’s after her own wisdom teeth started to show signs of life. Compared to Dixie, Charli’s experience getting her wisdom teeth taken out was decidedly less emotional. Just after the operation, Charli’s mother gave her the low-down about the procedure, leading to a humorous conversation with an optimistic, yet confused, TikToker still coming down from the laughing gas. “You look great!” Charli’s mom exclaimed. “Thank you!” Charli chipperly replied through a wad of bandages and tissues. “They did such a great job!” The exchange even prompted her nurse to dub the sprightly Charli “so cute” — but the waterworks soon appeared after Charli texted her big sis about the procedure and she didn’t answer right away. “It’s okay,” Charli sobbed after her mom reassured her that Dixie was probably just busy. “I love her, Dixie!” This is far from the first time that both D’Amelio sisters have gone under the knife; in 2020, the siblings both got septoplasties, with Charli claiming that she’d broken her nose and couldn’t breathe properly. Dixie got a similar surgery shortly thereafter, with both sisters sharing footage of the grisly process to social media. This time, it doesn’t look like critics are accusing Charli of “copying” her big sis for getting her wisdom teeth removed like they did with Dixie — but you can’t really argue that point when wisdom teeth become impacted, whether you want them to or not. Charli’s video immediately ranked at the top of YouTube’s trending page and is still at number one a day later, prompting the TikToker to give a brief word of thanks to her fans. i cannot believe that we are still #1 on trending!! you guys are the best!!! pic.twitter.com/hHQk767Hvy — charli (@charlidamelio) August 16, 2021 For now, it looks like this TikToker is taking it easy while the “golf ball in the side of her face” heals.

  • Charli D’Amelio’s first duet with Landon Barker is breaking TikTok – Dexerto

Charli D’Amelio’s first duet with Landon Barker is breaking TikTok TikTok: charlidamelioCharli D’Amelio has officially uploaded her first-ever TikTok with new boyfriend Landon Barker, and the internet just can’t get enough of the pairing. Charli D’Amelio’s love life is taking center stage amid ongoing drama between her ex-boyfriend, Chase Hudson, and her new flame, Landon Barker. Charli went public with Landon in late June, after the two were caught holding hands by paparazzi. She made things official after uploading a smoochy photo with Landon in July, sending fans wild. However, she hadn’t shared her new boo on TikTok yet — but in August, that would change. On August 6, Charli took part in the ABC Challenge, which was started by fellow TikTok star Lindsey Nicole. Basically, the challenge tags high-profile TikTokers in order by their first name, resulting in a huge chain of video duets. For her part in the chain, Charli decided to bring along Landon, and the two danced to the song ‘L$D’ by Luclover with Charli all dolled up in classic 20’s attire. Click here if TikTok fails to load. The short clip has already garnered over 32 million views and 4 million likes since being uploaded three days ago, and fans are clearly shocked that Landon is finally making an appearance on her account. However, others couldn’t help but mention the apparent love triangle going on, referencing Chase Hudson’s new song, “All The Things I Hate About You,” which seemed to directly call out Charli for dating Landon — who used to be one of Chase’s buddies. “Huddy was too stunned to speak,” one user wrote. “Lil Huddy is watching,” another said. “With Landon. We love to see it girl,” another praised. Luckily, Dixie D’Amelio also followed through with the trend as her name was next on the ‘ABC’ list… although her own rendition of the dance was decidedly less enthusiastic. This viral TikTok follows another major moment for Charli on the platform, where she reassured eagle-eyed fans that she was not shading her ex-boyfriend after viewers were convinced her video was throwing shade at Chase.

  • Charli D’Amelio’s dad slams social media for not “elevating positivity” – Dexerto

Charli D’Amelio’s dad slams social media for not “elevating positivity” Instagram: Marc D’AmelioMarc D’Amelio, the father of TikTok superstars Charli and Dixie D’Amelio, has hit out at online trolls in a series of pointed Tweets . Suggesting that social media platforms themselves need to take more responsibility, D’Amelio argued that these sites “need to do better to elevate positivity,” as opposed to negativity. “The fact that hate comments get so much attention just perpetuate the negativity,” he said in his tweet. “I am not for censorship, but I am for rewarding the good s**t. Be nice!” When a fan responded to his Tweet suggesting that that Charli turns off TikTok comments, pointing out that the comments were getting “filled with hate and triggering stuff”, Marc replied that “if you turn off the comments the haters win”. I would love to see social media platforms do better to elevate positivity. The fact that hate comments get so much attention just perpetuates the negativity. I am not for censorship but I do support rewarding the good shit. Be nice! — Marc D’Amelio (@marcdamelio) January 30, 2021 Fans had mixed responses to Marc’s take. Some Twitter users were supportive of his sentiments, with one fan saying that “the only solution is to keep doing what you love to do, making them realise they can’t break you.” Meanwhile, others claimed that the scrutiny Charli and Dixie faced on social media was justified due to their recent lockdown-flouting trip to the Bahamas, with one Twitter user saying: “Unnecessary hate is wrong, but if it’s hold your kids accountable, it’s deserved. Stop trying to ignore criticism. Millions have died and your kids were in the Bahamas. Some criticism is deserved.” https://twitter.com/defnoodles/status/1355723018320846851 Other Twitter users were doubtful that at the tender age of 16, Charli, should be on social media at all, with one fan saying: “Honestly if he cared about his daughters he would tell Charli to quit social media. She is so young and is already going through so much cyber bullying and mental health issues that can have serious effects on a developing brain. I wasn’t even allowed social media at that age.” Marc D’Amelio’s Tweets come at a time where Charli and Dixie are facing backlash from fans for travelling during the current health crisis, with Charli most recently jetting out to Barbados. Charli has also faced criticism for being “entitled” after complaining about the time it took to reach 100m followers, and more recently was part of an embarrassing viral video where she can be seen shrugging off her mom in a trailer for reality show ‘The D’Amelios’.

  • Charli D’Amelio’s dad gives honest opinion on her relationship with Travis Barker’s son Landon – Dexerto

Charli D’Amelio’s dad gives honest opinion on her relationship with Travis Barker’s son Landon Instagram: charlidamelio, landonasherbarkerIn recent months, it became apparent that TikTok superstar Charli D’Amelio had started dating Travis Barker’s son, Landon, and while things are still fresh, Charli’s dad, Marc, gave his verdict on the newly-formed relationship. Charli has been in the spotlight for some time now, becoming huge on TikTok at the age of just 15. Now 18, she’s been the subject of media scrutiny and eyeballs on her constantly for a few years — meaning that no relationship can be kept secret. In June, it was revealed that the two were seeing each other after they were pictured on a date together, immediately confirming the suspicions of many eagle-eyed sleuths who had spotted them out and about. Landon, also 18, is someone that has always been in the limelight thanks to his drummer father, and that fame only grew when it was confirmed that Travis was dating Kourtney Kardashian, now his wife. For the duration of their relationship, many people have given their thoughts on the couple, and now Marc D’Amelio himself has weighed in, with fans wanting to know if he approves of his daughter’s new beau. When questioned by Daily Stardust, Marc hesitated before giving his response, eventually giving a somewhat non-committal answer. “I don’t get involved in that,” he said, “but if Charli’s happy then I’m happy.” It might be that Marc doesn’t want to comment too much out of respect for Charli and Landon, who haven’t made themselves super public at the time of writing. Charli’s sister, Dixie, has made sure to bring her relationship with fellow TikToker Noah Beck out of the public eye — and maybe Charli is hoping to follow suit.

  • Charli D’Amelio’s dad denies shading Chade Hudson in viral TikTok – Dexerto

Charli D’Amelio’s dad denies shading Chade Hudson in viral TikTok Instagram: marcdamelioCharli D’Amelio’s relationship — and breakup — with fellow TikTok star Chase Hudson has been well-publicized. Now, her dad Marc has had to deny shading the young creator in his latest TikTok. Charli and Chase got together towards the tail end of 2019 after appearing in a few TikTok videos together, but before long rumors that Chase had cheated started to circulate, and for several months it was unclear whether they were still together or not. While it seemed as though their relationship was as good as dead, new TikToks posted in August and September 2020 suggest there might still be something going on between the two. On August 20, the two posted a video together for the first time in a while, dancing together and looking as comfortable as ever. While there wasn’t any more from the two after that, a post from Charli’s father, Marc, raised some questions, and fans were quick to make assumptions. In the video, posted to the official D’Amelio family TikTok page, Marc is singing Michael Jackson’s ‘Billie Jean’, and panned the camera to a smiling Chase at a very coincidental time in the song. “Don’t go around breaking young girls’ hearts,” mimes Marc as he turns the camera around, with he and Chase both clearly enjoying themselves, but the timing of the turn of the camera definitely caused a stir among fans. After noticing that some of the comments had taken a bit of a sour turn, both Chase and Marc were forced to respond. Marc simply said that there was “no shade” and that it’s “all love,” while Chase said that the two were simply “sharing their love for Michael Jackson.” The video already has 3 million views and is garnering a lot of attention from the TikTokkers’ fans, but both are insistent that there’s no hidden meaning behind it. Whether this means that Charli and Chase might be rekindling their relationship, with him looking very comfortable around her dad, remains to be seen.

  • Charli D’Amelio’s dad defends her amid Bahamas vacation backlash – Dexerto

Charli D’Amelio’s dad defends her amid Bahamas vacation backlash Instagram: marcdamelioMarc D’Amelio has defended his daughter Charli D’Amelio after she was criticized following a family trip to the Bahamas. Amid the ongoing global health situation, many influencers have faced backlash for continuing to travel and meet up with large groups of people, with many fans calling out the creators for not practicing what they preach. Charli and Dixie D’Amelio were among those receiving backlash for a trip to the Bahamas in December, with their social media accounts flooded with comments by frustrated fans. Stars like Noah Beck were also criticized for saying they needed the trip to “disconnect.” The 16-year-old had previously told her followers to remember to obey health regulations as they’re “extremely important,” leading to further criticism that she, along with several other influencers, were being hypocritical. i hope you are all staying safe and social distancing it’s extremely important and I hope you are caring about staying healthy and thinking of yourself and others — charli (@charlidamelio) April 20, 2020 But in an interview with Kevin Wong, Marc D’Amelio defended Charli over the backlash she was getting for traveling during these times. Marc made sure to remind people of the fact that Charli is still a minor, and that she doesn’t always have full control of the decisions that get her the most backlash. “First of all, to blame Charli? It was a family vacation,” he said. “She’s sixteen, so she has no say in where we’re going, so you can put it on me. But we did what we had to do, and you know, we went away.” However, he made sure to assure fans that the family does understand the severity of the global situation saying, “we do take it seriously and we want to protect other people, we don’t take it lightly. We heard them loud and clear, and yeah, it’s what it is.” While Charli was the first member of the family to rise to popularity on the internet, the family has become very much a team on social media as well, regularly uploading content on their main YouTube channel together.

  • Charli D’Amelio’s boyfriend Landon Barker wants to make Lil Huddy diss track – Dexerto

Charli D’Amelio’s boyfriend Landon Barker wants to make Lil Huddy diss track Instagram: huddy, landonasherbarker, charlidamelioCharli D’Amelio’s boyfriend, Landon Barker, is going all in on creating a diss track about her ex-boo Lil Huddy after he seemed to shade her in one of his songs, ‘All the Things I Hate About You.’ The drama between Charli D’Amelio, Lil Huddy, and Landon Barker has just entered a new chapter as Barker seems pretty excited to make a diss track about his girlfriend’s ex-man. For those out of the loop, TikTok star Charli used to date Lil Huddy (real name Chase Hudson) back in 2019. Unfortunately, the couple broke up in 2020 due to some drama involving fellow star Nessa Barrett (read: Nessa and Chase apparently smooched while Charli and Chase were still ‘talking’). Luckily, it seemed as though Chase and Charli were still on good terms, and had even convinced fans that they were secretly dating… but it doesn’t look like this ex-couple is in each other’s good graces anymore. Things went downhill after Charli started dating Landon Barker, the son of Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker, in summer 2022. Apparently, Landon and Chase had used to be friends — but when he started seeing Charli, that friendship apparently ended. Fans were certain that Huddy’s new song, ‘All the Things I Hate About You,’ was taking direct shots at Charli, most notably calling her a “homie hopper.” Well, it looks like Landon is more than willing to return the favor if his latest moves on TikTok are anything to go by. Landon Barker wants to make diss track on Lil Huddy In a humorous video, Bryce Hall said he was “thinking about dropping a diss track on Josh Richards featuring Lil Huddy” — completely joking, as Bryce and Josh are notable BFFs. Josh decided to take part in the fun and poked back at Bryce, saying he was “getting ready to hit up Landon to make a diss track on Bryce and Huddy.” Although he was more than likely kidding, Landon Barker seemed totally down to actually make a diss track, writing in the comments section: “Let’s do it Josh! Right now!” Although it’s unclear if this diss track battle will actually take place or not, fans are waiting with ears pricked for any more developments in this potential battle of the bands between TikTok’s top love triangle.

  • Charli D’Amelio addresses fan concerns after wiping Instagram page – Dexerto

Charli D’Amelio addresses fan concerns after wiping Instagram page Instagram: charlidamelioTikTok star Charli D’Amelio has explained why she’s entirely wiped her Instagram page after fans grew worried, saying that it’s only temporary. 17-year-old Charli D’Amelio is currently the most followed person on TikTok, with over 130 million followers on her page. She has a hugely loyal fanbase that supports each of the star’s projects, and of course keeps up to date with what’s going on in her life by checking out her social media accounts, on which she posts frequently. However, fans were baffled on November 28 when they noticed that every single post had disappeared from her Instagram page, and that she had started to unfollow people including friends, family, and fan pages dedicated to her. They quickly hopped over to Twitter to ask her what was happening, but it appears as though the star just wanted to organize her account so that the app would run smoother. “Don’t worry, everything is okay,” she wrote in a now-deleted tweet. “My account is on hold but I will be able to follow more fan pages if my account is less packed which means I have to start over from zero, I love you all.” When one fan responded, “we were so worried, I’m glad you’re okay,” Charli went on to explain: “I’m all good, my Instagram just never works, I follow so many accounts and it backs it up a lot, hopefully, this will help and then it will crash less.” View this post on Instagram It’s not clear yet when the TikToker’s account will return, but fans are eagerly waiting for her to be active on the platform again. In the meantime, Charli has been staying in touch with fans and following people on Twitter, where streamer TommyInnit was lucky enough to get a follow from the star after months of trying to spark a friendship.

  • Charli D’Amelio unveils her first ever fragrance, Born Dreamer – Dexerto

Charli D’Amelio unveils her first ever fragrance, Born Dreamer Instragram: charlidamelioTikTok star Charli D’Amelio has revealed her brand new fragrance, Born Dreamer, is finally available for purchase. After announcing the project earlier in 2022, D’Amelio’s new YouTube video dives into the journey she went on to create and develop the new scent. Charli D’Amelio is one of the biggest content creators on TikTok. Dubbed the queen of TikTok, D’Amelio was previously the most followed person on the social media platform, a position she held for over 2 years. With that notoriety comes plenty of brand deals and collaborations, and the star is further branching out. The younger D’Amelio sister has unveiled a new fragrance line that she has been working on for the past 2 years. She discussed the process in her recent YouTube video “Making of My First Fragrance ‘Born Dreamer’”. The video starts off with D’Amelio and her mother sampling a variety of scents. After picking the one she likes the most she is then invited to France to meet the minds behind the work. D’Amelio journeyed to Grasse, France in October 2021. At this time, she was also reflecting on the design of the bottle and how they arrived at the finished product after “many, many prototypes.” “I think it’s very chic and I love that”, she began. “It’s very simple but still very cool girl vibes and it smells really good.” Charli then explains that the design of the bottle is actually recyclable, a rare thing for typical perfume bottles to be. “If you look at your perfume bottles at home you’ll realize that you can’t take the top off which means that it’s not recyclable. But in these, they’re recyclable and refillable.” To close off the unveiling, Charli reflects on the journey and her excitement that the fragrance is finally available. “This is something I’ve worked on from the first day and I’m very proud of this and very confident in the fact that I believe in everything Born Dreamer believes in.” For those after the new Charli D’Amelio fragrance, Born Dreamer is now available at Ultra Beauty across the world.
