  • Diablo 4 players worried that OP Necromancer skill will get nerfed – Dexerto

Diablo 4 players worried that OP Necromancer skill will get nerfed Blizzard EntertainmentWhile most Diablo 4 players are having fun with Sorcerers, Necromancer players are currently fretting about whether or not the devs will nerf the class once more and weaken one of the class’s strongest abilities. Each one of Diablo 4’s classes has the potential to be turned into a monster-slaying machine. The best builds are called that way for a reason, they’re OP, everyone loves them, and they make your Sanctuary slaughter even more fruitful. It’s been no secret in the D4 community that the Sorcerer class has reigned supreme – so far. It contains great power, although another class has actually proven to be more capable of dealing billions worth of damage! many would argue that the Necromancer is another effective damage-dealing destroyer. The class has had some nerfs in recent times though, and fans are desperate for Blizzard to avoid nerfing one of its best, maybe the best, skills. Necromancer’s “insane damage output” needs to be left alone in Diablo 4 “I’m going to miss it when it nerfed,” were the words of Diablo 4 Reddit user elkeiem. They backed up their statement with a Kermit meme saying: “Bone Necro waiting for Conduit Shrine to finally do some damage.” The notion is that those who use the Necromancer’s Bone skills to create some truly devastating builds, such as the Bone Spear and Bone Spirit Necro, may see their current OP characters nerfed across PvE and PvP. “Man they better not nerf bone Necro into the ground without buffing everything else, its insane damage output is one of the few things Necro has going for it,” said one player. Another concerned D4 user explained: “Oh, I’m afraid utterly neutering the entire class into dust doesn’t much matter to these devs.” On the other hand, a couple of players believed that the Necromancer class is quite safe. “They aren’t gonna nerf it. The class is a glass cannon pure dps,” said one player, and another offered: “Yeah, but that conduit shrine gave you some movement speed, which must have felt pretty good. Necromancer is like a wheelchair with no wheels compared to all the other classes.” Time will tell if Blizzard deems the Necromancer class worthy of being nerfed again. While they decide, the devs are actually encouraging players to stop playing Diablo 4.

  • Diablo 4 players worried seasonal renown reset would be “incredibly boring” – Dexerto

Diablo 4 players worried seasonal renown reset would be “incredibly boring” Blizzard EntertainmentDiablo 4 is teasing renown resets to coincide with seasonal content updates and players are against the concept stating that this would be “insanely boring and demotivating to play.” Loyal fans have had a fair bit of feedback for the Diablo 4 devs as of late. They’ve stated that recent Dungeons nerfs are killing the idea of solo D4 play and they also believe that PvP matchmaking is unbalanced and ruining the enjoyment of users. Moving on from these bones of contention, Diablo 4 players are now targeting the game’s Renown system. Renown is a mechanic that tracks and rewards player progress across the various regions of Sanctuary. You can earn it by finding Altars of Lilith or just simply completing a Stronghold. It’s a good way to track your progression in Diablo 4. Blizzard could be about to upset completionists though as it appears as if seasonal resets will be wiping all accumulated renown across the board. Diablo 4 Renown is not permanent? It seems that many Diablo 4 players are unaware that Renown will not be carrying over from season to season. Those who are aware of it are already making their voices heard on why this is not a good idea. Diablo 4 Reddit user kasikcz explained in a post: “As a casual father player, I have around 2-3h per day to play and it took a lot of time to complete all regional renown (not 100% just levels). Doing it every season would be insanely boring and demotivating to play. Same goes with map exploration on new characters, just why?” One player simply said: “Well, they can do what they want, I’m not farming it again,” and another chimed in: “Put it this way, who the f*ck wants to rediscover the Map again? And especially after I 100% every region and spend those countless hours finding every single f*cking statue. You better believe that I expect that with every season I better not have to waste hours doing the map or dungeons again to get my extra skill points and paragons that I already f*cking got.” It’s already been hinted at on dev streams that Blizzard plans to go through with the reset. Senior Vice President at Blizzard’s Rod Fergusson has confirmed that they will be addressing this matter very soon. He received a couple of comments from unhappy players regarding the renown reset and offered one simple message: “Tune into this week’s stream!” It becomes a game of patience now for players as they await the fate of renown in Diablo 4 In the meantime, it seems they are also still searching for the secret cow level in the game.

  • Diablo 4 players will miss Vampire Powers when they’re removed in Season 3 – Dexerto

Diablo 4 players will miss Vampire Powers when they’re removed in Season 3 Blizzard EntertainmentDiablo 4 Season 2 is coming to an end and Season 3 will soon be here, but some players are lamenting the loss of Vampire Powers and wondering if they’ll ever see them again. Season 2 of Diablo 4 is largely considered an improvement over Season 1. Not only did Blizzard provide more balance and endgame content to the game, Season 2’s short vampire-themed questline gave players some new story missions to sink their teeth into. It also provided Vampire Powers, new abilities that enhanced players’ builds and allowed them to create some truly unique and deadly characters. The overall vampire theme of Season 2 was popular and should it go away forever, never to be seen again, many players will miss the concept. Turning their characters into day-walking vampire spawn was a fun wrinkle to Diablo 4’s story and the existence of the vampire menace in Sanctuary was a nice change of pace from the usual demon-slaying antics. Season 3 of Diablo 4 starts on January 23, 2024, and will be revealed in a live stream on January 18, 2024. The new season will likely have its own gimmicks and themes (possibly involving Zoltun Kulle) that will replace the vampire shenanigans of Season 2, but some players will miss the Vampire Powers – even though Season 3 will likely offer a similar system. On Reddit, one poster said: “I am going to miss vampiric powers so much once the season ends… Especially the one that does 80% of your max HP as damage to everything; it was so fun to walk into a group of enemies and wipe them all out with a single basic skill.” Others appreciated the vampire theme in general saying: “This game is so freaking awesome. I never thought I’d be having so much fun when I started playing. Didn’t care much for the precious season but this one got to my heart. I love the Vampire theme and the blood harvest.” Another was quick to point out that the Vampire Powers would essentially be repackaged into something new for Season 3, saying: “No you won’t because you will be messing around with whatever OP mechanics the next season brings.” Some players expressed hope that the abilities offered by Vampire Powers would return as unique items/skills, just like the Malignant Powers of Season 1 did, saying: “A handful of the most popular abilities will be converted into uniques just like the Malignant rings.” It will be interesting to see if Diablo 4 does bring back any themes from earlier seasons later in the game’s life cycle. Season 2’s vampire story could offer a range of creative routes for Diablo 4, and eventually, Blizzard could one day choose to bring some quests, characters, and abilities to the Eternal Realm, so that all players can experience them once a season ends.

  • Diablo 4 players want this event QoL feature – Dexerto

Diablo 4 players want this event QoL feature Blizzard EntertainmentSome players are tired of Diablo 4 leaving them in the dark about the timing of Helltides, Legions, World Bosses, and Blood Harvests. Alongside more major quests in Diablo 4, world events across the map of Sanctuary serve as a key point of progression for players. Particularly in late game with World Tier 3, these timed-respawn combat interactions are great for yielding XP, gold, and new gear. Helltides, Legions, World Bosses, and Season 2’s newly added Blood Harvests are certainly worth taking part in. Thankfully, they occur a couple of times a day. Yet, unless players use third-party sources, they don’t know when and where a world event is due to spawn basically until it happens. Turns out, there are fans who are eager to see that change. Diablo 4 players want world event timers A Diablo player going by u/Satokibi came to r/Diablo4 to post their mock-up of a world events timer in the game and said “Is this really too much to ask for, Blizzard?” Their prototype includes drop down menus for checking the timing on the next World Boss, Gathering Legion, Helltide, and Blood Harvest. As well as displaying the location and timing for the next occurrence of each event, it also counts down other upcoming spawns thereafter. When an event is progress, the interface shows when the event is due to end. The image prompted an enthusiastic response from those in the community. Praising both the concept and execution of the post one player said, “I swear, these Redditors should be hired by Blizzard.” Commenters discussed how an in-game timer would solve the redundancy of having players use third-party tools to manage their Diablo 4 events: “[…]if everyone uses Helltides.com then why not just implement the functionality into the game? What benefit does being cheeky and hiding all the data actually provide players?”

  • Diablo 4 players think party finder could fix “boring” level 70+ endgame – Dexerto

Diablo 4 players think party finder could fix “boring” level 70+ endgame Blizzard EntertainmentDiablo 4 players want Blizzard Entertainment developers to introduce a party finder that could make level 70+ feel less “boring.” Reaching level 70 counts among the most noteworthy achievements in Diablo 4. It’s at this level that the game recommends players kick off World Tier 3‘s Fallen Temple Capstone Dungeon, which unlocks World Tier 4 upon completion. Not everyone is happy with the state of things in World Tier 4, however, as the endless grind for better loot can become a bit stale. Interestingly, a Reddit user has pitched an idea for how Blizzard could liven up the endgame by introducing one new feature. Diablo 4 fans think party finder could liven up level 70+ gameplay “Not having a party finder is a mistake and makes lvl 70+ boring,” reads the caption of a Reddit post from user craz93. The Redditor goes on to say that adding a “random dungeon party finder” would make the endgame more fun. As things currently stand, the user continues, playing above level 70 is “boring” because there’s no real incentive to keep going. Based on replies to the thread, many players tend to agree with the original poster. One user chimed in with the following comment, “It plays like a single-player game, but needs to be online to play, but with no real avenues to play with other people.” Said someone else of the Diablo 4 party finder idea, “Yep, it should be available either at the entrance to each dungeon or regionally at the main city. You know it’s bad when Warframe has better social features.” This counts as but another addition to a long list of user requests for the newly released Diablo entry. For one, players hope Blizzard eventually introduces the ability to save character builds. Recent Reddit posts note that the community also wouldn’t mind it if developers nerfed crowd-control effects.

  • Diablo 4 players plead for devs to add one missing feature from Diablo 3 – Dexerto

Diablo 4 players plead for devs to add one missing feature from Diablo 3 Blizzard EntertainmentDiablo 4 allows players to create builds according to their preferred playstyle, and players think adding this one missing feature from the previous game would do wonders. While some players dislike the grindy nature of Diablo 4, one thing that can keep one’s playthrough exciting is trying out different builds. For example, Necromancer players can opt for a minion build or a more tanky Infimist build to clear up dungeons or even create their unique build according to their playstyle. This goes for other classes as well, as players can unlock many skills throughout their gameplay. The game does let players respec their skills if they decide to change their mind. But, putting everything together all over again can take some time and be quite costly. Regarding this issue, a player on Reddit has brought up that it would be nice if the game added a loadout system, allowing players to swap certain saved skills or paragon boards easily. In the comments, some players couldn’t help but bring up the loadout system from the previous game, Diablo 3. “Diablo 3 has it, rifts, and leaderboards and matchmaking. I don’t understand why Diablo 4 didn’t have all these done better and more,” one user wrote. While a different user agrees this would bring a “fun” improvement to the game, some comments pointed out how the game still needs other QoL updates and other features to be added aside from loadout. One of them mentioned: “There are a couple of thousand things this game should have; a loadout system is definitely one of them. Diablo 2 was released 24 years ago and still felt more complete at release than this game does.” Aside from that, a different user mentioned that devs already talked about the loadout feature in a Campfire Chat around six months ago. However, they mentioned they had no timeline for the loadouts, though that’s something they’re excited about. With that in mind, it looks like players requesting this feature will just have to be patient for now.

  • Diablo 4 players want motivation to replay the campaign in Season 3 – Dexerto

Diablo 4 players want motivation to replay the campaign in Season 3 Blizzard EntertainmentDiablo 4 players want Blizzard to give them a reason to replay the campaign such as fresh rewards or a higher difficulty in Season 3. Diablo 4 is different from previous Diablo games in that once players have beaten the campaign, on either Normal or Veteran difficulties, there’s little point in replaying it during the seasonal content. Of course, players need to complete the campaign at least once before they can tackle the Seasonal Journey, but as for new characters in subsequent seasons, they have little reason to bother replaying the campaign. Players will be given the option to skip the campaign and jump straight into the seasonal content when a new season begins. This content is also locked until after the campaign is either skipped or completed and as it can take over 20 hours, most players choose to skip it as there are simply more efficient ways to get to level 50 and get to the new content. Diablo 4 campaign becoming redundant However, as the campaign in Diablo 4 is some of the best content there is, especially when compared to the often underwhelming Seasonal Journey, certain players are calling for Blizzard to give them more motivation to replay the campaign when a new season rolls around. Some players are calling on Blizzard to let them play the campaign on the harder difficulties such as Nightmare and Torment, while others would like to see seasonal quests available as part of the story. On Reddit, one player said: “This would be the best, so who wants the old Diablo 2 style can replay it but in accelerated rate” Some simply wanted better rewards so they felt motivated to replay the story quests each season, saying: “They should do some sort of campaign+ mode with extra challenges and better rewards if you’ve already completed it. I actually did enjoy the story when it first came out.” Others argued that if players want to replay the campaign, they should just play it and that the whole point of the game is to have fun. “Do you have a group of friends to play with? Other than that, yeah, you’ll level up faster if you skip, but who cares? If you want to play the campaign, do it. It’s not like 3 months is not enough time.” It will be interesting to see if Blizzard does find new ways to utilize the Diablo 4 campaign in the coming months, as it is becoming increasingly pointless for those who’ve already played it and know the story. While seasonal quests push the plot forward in minor ways, players will need to wait until the Vessel of Hatred DLC for the next major story expansion in Diablo 4.

  • Diablo 4 players want major improvements to underwhelming treasure goblins – Dexerto

Diablo 4 players want major improvements to underwhelming treasure goblins Blizzard EntertainmentDiablo 4’s treasure goblins are the gateway to free goodies and valuable loot. However, in their current capacity, D4 players feel they are not packing the punch of older Diablo games. During your time in Sanctuary, it’s more than likely that you will come face-to-face with a treasure goblin. There’s nothing devious about them, their purpose is quite literally in their name. If you see one, quickly close the distance to them in Diablo 4 and wail on them to secure yourself free loot. This was also their purpose in Diablo 3 and also Diablo: Immortals. Although, it seems as if their presence in D4 isn’t as meaningful. Players believe that treasure goblins just aren’t packing the oomph they’ve featured in previous Diablo games and want them to be buffed across the board. Treasure goblins “never drop anything good” in Diablo 4 In the words of Reddit user featurecast: “Is it just me or are treasure goblins in D4 kind of lame now?” They explained how treasure goblins seem “really easy to kill in D4” and that they “never drop anything good” either. The user continued: “I’m not sure if I have bad luck but I usually just get a couple of mediocre yellows and a couple of gems. Maybe a legendary one in ten. I think they need to up the loot tables on treasure goblins also HP buff makes them more challenging and rewarding. A challenging loot piñata you can actually get excited when you spot one.” In what was comfortably the top comment, another Diablo 4 Reddit user agreed and said: “Agreed; they’re underwhelming. They should offer a legendary and a small chance of a Greed portal.” As seen in previous Diablo experiences, a Greed portal takes players to The Vault – the home of the goblins are their exhaustive supply of hoarded treasure. Even just the minute details about the treasure goblins are leaving players feeling empty: “I really miss their ‘hee heeeee’ laugh. My friends and I used to really enjoy hunting for one as soon as we heard that. Now I have to constantly keep an eye on my minimap to see if one appears on it. It really does feel lackluster when killing the goblins now though, the excitement just isn’t there anymore,” offered another user. Casual Diablo 4 fans aren’t the only ones who are having some issues with the game it seems. Even Hollywood royalty is dismayed as Whoopi Goldberg herself is demanding a refund for the RPG title.

  • Diablo 4 players want key Diablo 3 features added to fix frustrations – Dexerto

Diablo 4 players want key Diablo 3 features added to fix frustrations Blizzard EntertainmentEven though Diablo 4 players are finding lots to enjoy about the game, the community has listed a large number of features they want to see brought over from Diablo 3 to make the game even better. Diablo 4 is in somewhat of a lul at present as the world awaits Diablo 4 Season 1. Season of the Malignant is the first new content drop for the game and will add a Battle Pass along with new elements such as Caged Hearts and Infested Sockets. Until then though, players have had time to reflect on Diablo 4 as a whole and evaluate where the game is right now. Whereas the devs have actually been telling players to stop playing the game, fans of the title have actually devised a series of features that D4 could add from Diablo 3 to alleviate some frustrations and improve the game even further. Diablo 3 features could make Diablo 4 even better? Reddit user Frosty-Peach-9094 explained to the Diablo 4 community that they had two Level 100 characters and delivered their overall verdict on the game so far. “God I miss some things from D3 so much,” they began, before launching into a series of issues that Diablo 3 features could clear up in a second, as well as improvements to base D4 aspects. The user wants to see the return of the XP combo bonus, less exploding mobs, a revision of itemization, Nightmare Dungeons in the style of D3, fewer “pointless puzzles”, variety in level design in regular dungeons, improved mount gameplay, and better inventory management. There are quite a few features here, but the OP clarified: “Again, I love this game but I had to vent some of these absolutely frustrating things.” The top comment fully agreed saying: “I agree with OP 100%. Game is incredibly fun and awesome, but it’s a bit frustrating that some changes that seem fairly obvious and simple prevent it from being as great as it could be. Just to add a few more: more class and spec balancing, more monster variety, a gem bag, gems that stack higher.” Another user was harsher in their verdict: “D3 rewards time investment and it’s fun to boot. Everything in 4 feels flat, aside from the grimdark setting and that first trip through the story. Every spell, every ability, every class is just leftovers from previous games that did it better.” Season 1 will certainly bring about some new changes to the game. Even though they won’t be on the scale that Frosty-Peach-9094 wants, smaller changes such as shared map progress will be a start.

  • Diablo 4 players want improvements to pets in Season 5 update – Dexerto

Diablo 4 players want improvements to pets in Season 5 update Blizzard EntertainmentPets were finally added to Diablo 4 during Season 4, but now players want to see this feature expanded when Season 5 hits. Diablo 4 added pets to the game after over a year of it being out, much to player delight. These cute little critters such as dogs and cats don’t take part in combat, but they accompany the player, collecting gold and other resources to be helpful. The pet system in Diablo 4 is very similar to Diablo 3, where they serve the same function – collecting gold and looking cute. They’re essentially just a garnish that saves you from running around and picking up gold once a hectic battle has ended. However, some players would like to see pets play a larger role in Season 5, and in the upcoming Vessel of Hatred DLC. On Reddit, one player posted a very clear and reasonable request: “The dog should pick up animus in dungeons. That is all.” Others were quick to chime in with their own desires for pets in Diablo 4, with one saying: “The dog should also pick up potions” and “The dog should pick up everything/anything we want.” Some players were slightly more ambitious and suggested that the pet system in Diablo 4 should be similar to Diablo Immortal’s, where the creature fights alongside the player and can be leveled. They drew extra attention to the pets that are being added to the game in the Vessel of Hatred DLC, such as the leopard pet, which could do some damage to monsters if pets were able to take part in battles. They said: “I saw the DLC is going to contain a leopard. Hopefully, that cat is less lazy and kills monsters for me.” Other players poked fun at the suggestion and made their own recommendations, such as: “The dog should one-shot Uber Lilith” and “The dog should masterwork [items] for me and retrieve the newspaper.” The pets from Diablo 3 were never given more than the function of collecting gold while looking cute, but as Diablo Immortal created a system where they can fight alongside the player, anything is possible in future updates. Season 3 of Diablo 4 featured a pet creature that could fight for the player in the Seneschal companion. However, this little robot ally was removed when the season ended and is yet to return. Its also worth pointing out that Diablo 4 is also adding mercenaries to the game in the DLC, so the player’s party is set to grow again.

  • Diablo 4 players want Blizzard to urgently fix “insanely frustrating” mechanic – Dexerto

Diablo 4 players want Blizzard to urgently fix “insanely frustrating” mechanic Blizzard EntertainmentA Diablo 4 player has slammed this specific in-game mechanic as “insanly frustrating” as it holds them back from doing certain things. Since Season of the Construct was launched in Diablo 4 just a few weeks ago, the game has received several adjustments and bug fixes, as seen from some recent patch notes. However, some players are still demanding for several things to be tweaked. From patching down crafting requirements to adding a missing feature from the previous game, the list doesn’t seem to end. And recently, one player has also brought up one “insanely frustrating” issue holding them back when doing specific in-game actions. In a Reddit thread, a user has poured out their frustration regarding the channeling mechanic, referring to how they would get interrupted when taking damage in the middle of an interaction. “Cleared screen, grab the stone? Random f****ing spider walks up from offscreen and spits at you for 1 dmg but cancels your channel,” they explained. The user mentioned that random dungeon affixes and projectiles would also interrupt channeling happen so often, yet that’s not even the worst part. They said, “Got poisoned? Well, have fun, wait 10s+ for the ticks to finally stop and then you can start channeling…” Annoyed by these, they suggested that players should be able to continue channeling despite taking damage. Users commenting on the thread seem to be split on this idea. A portion of them seem to agree, while some of the others are not too keen on it. “Agreed. Why do we need to channel ‘Pick up crucial object’ anyway, it’s so weird,’ ‘ one user wrote. Another user requested that channeling be removed altogether, as it’s such an “antiquated system.” Some players argued that the mechanic is part of the game. In the comments, one user pointed out that it’s intended to stop players from picking up something and leaving without killing anything. “That’s the whole point of the mechanic. You have to kill the mobs. I’m grind averse but even I am not bothered by that one,” said another. Aside from that, some players don’t seem bothered with it, with one claiming they’re fine with enemies interrupting. Though the poison damage after everything is dead “is a little wonky.”

  • Diablo 4 players want Blizzard to fix “boring” Helltide grind with one feature – Dexerto

Diablo 4 players want Blizzard to fix “boring” Helltide grind with one feature Blizzard EntertainmentDiablo 4 players have gotten a taste of Blood Harvests and they don’t want to spit it out. Players think a certain feature from them could be used to improve the game’s tedious Helltides. Diablo 4 has recaptured its player base with the unqualified success of its Season of Blood update. Far from the ironically maligned Season of the Malignant, this latest effort from Blizzard has fans back in their corner. Changes to endgame farming thanks to new loot tables for the game’s major bosses are a big plus. By far the most loved change however is the new Blood Harvest events in Diablo 4 Season 2. Now players want Blizzard to use Blood Harvests as a template for fixing Helltides. Reddit user u/rafaelvicario added to the growing discourse around the frustration with Helltides and offered a take many agree with. The primary aim of this proposed upgrade is to improve players’ access to Living Steel for the Grigore and Duriel boss fight summons. Diablo 4 fans have already talked at length about the frustrating grind for Living Steel. The requirement of 300 Cinders to open a Living Steel chest has been forcing players into protracted Helltide sessions for minimal reward. u/rafaelvicario’s suggestion is that “Vampiric Zone summon pedestals” could “speed up the process of collecting 300 Cinders.” Vampiric Zones allow players to summon a large number of mobs at a time and would greatly increase the amount of Cinders on offer. Users in the comments have unanimously agreed with the idea as well as adding a suggestion of their own. One player suggested that the developers “make Helltides rotate every hour” in the same way that Blood Harvests do. The current three-hour rotation limits the opportunity to collect Living Steel and farm endgame bosses. Many in the thread are confident that these changes could be in the works given Blizzard’s assertion that seasonal changes could be carried over depending on reception. “I feel like the Vampiric Zone is them testing a potential Helltides change,” one player theorized. • Diablo 4 players want big endgame feature to really make it “feel like Diablo” – Dexerto

Diablo 4 players want big endgame feature to really make it “feel like Diablo” Blizzard EntertainmentDiablo 4’s endgame has divided players with many still enjoying it, but others still having gripes with it. As a solution, the community has put their heads together and actually found a D3 comparison showing what big change could turn fortunes around to get everyone on board. Not all is well in the Diablo 4 camp right now. It seems that fewer people are seeking sanctuary in the game than ever. Twitch viewership is down a whopping 99% and players feel that the game is completely dead right now as they await the launch of Season 2. It’s been discussed before, but it’s believed that the lack of variety and things to do in Diablo 4’s post-game is the cause of a lot of this strife. It wasn’t all that long ago that the devs themselves were telling players to “take a break from the endgame grind.” Although, players don’t seem to want to. Instead, they want new reasons and purposes to explore, and one sentiment has delved into this. “Diablo 4 doesn’t feel like Diablo” In a passionate post on the Diablo 4 subreddit, user pleasevote0 believes that one of the main reasons Diablo 4’s endgame doesn’t compare as favorably is because you stick rigidly to the game’s main map. “I was thinking about the critique that “Diablo 4 doesn’t feel like Diablo”. There are a lot of reasons people say this, but many of them can be boiled down to mere differences. However, something I realized is just fundamentally lacking, is significant endgame content that brings you an environment in another dimension.” They explained that in Diablo 1 “you’re descending into Hell” and that “2 and 3 bring you to Hell repeatedly as you fight through acts to get to the bosses.” Diablo 4 moves away from the Hell philosophy and dispenses with “floating labyrinths in a void, or otherworldly interdimensional levels.” Now, even though Hell does feature, it’s not extensively in the post-game content. One comment after another was in agreement with many players sticking to the notion that the endgame is “boring.” A heated comment had this to say about the endgame: “That is what an endgame is, not a f**king season pass, not f**king boring ass dungeons with no real design, not pitiful world bosses that act only as a sh**ty loot pinata.” In addition to the world, another take targeted the game’s main bosses too: “You never get to face the main baddies again unless you replay the campaign.” The devs have said that this is one of the many incoming features, to which another player replied: “I kind of wished I just waited 2ish years and bought one of those ultimate mega GOTY versions for $40 that actually includes everything.” Season 2 is certainly going to be a big deal for Blizzard and the community. Outside of the Diablo 4 endgame, eyes are also shifting toward the title’s first DLC with annual expansions planned.

  • Diablo 4 players upset after “garbage” Siphoning Strike nerfs – Dexerto

Diablo 4 players upset after “garbage” Siphoning Strike nerfs Blizzard EntertainmentDiablo 4 patch update 1.1.0 has nerfed the Rogue passive ability called Siphoning Strikes. This has led to some Rogue players getting frustrated. Siphoning Strike is a passive ability for the Rogue class in this game that heals the player upon landing a critical hit on an enemy. The ability was among a few that were nerfed in patch 1.1.0 of Diablo 4. This will impact various Rogue builds and will make some players’ characters feel less impactful than before. Some players vented their frustration on a Reddit post with one saying they thought the nerf is “garbage”. Several players have also expressed their annoyance in a thread full of Rogue enthusiasts. See below: Diablo 4 players feel that Siphoning Strike nerf will hurt sustainability. The same player who claimed that the nerf is “garbage” also claimed that “it is a massive nerf to sustainability” and that the reduction in power to Siphoning Strikes “was completely unwarranted” while explaining their reasoning to another user. In the detailed breakdown shown above, the user explains why this makes his and other Rogue builds redundant. However, we’re yet to see Blizzard’s explanation to why this may not be the case. After all, moves are usually only nerfed for a reason. Another player posted on the Diablo 4 subreddit that “Guess my rogue will just die then” as they showcased their frustration. A player named Budget-Artichoke went a little further with the topic claiming that “rng heals smh ridiculous dev team”. They also ended the post with a disgruntled remark saying “Thanks for the fun one month of fun I guess”. Finally, a player named Helpful-Squash made a post asking “Why nerf Siphoning strikes on rogue?”. The player claims that “my paper thin rogue will die if someone sneezes” as they showcased their frustration. As it stands, the developers have not responded to the backlash from the fans regarding this nerf. However, if there is any further development regarding this matter, then we will update you with the details.

  • Diablo 4 players unhappy as Uber Uniques disabled from Helltide events – Dexerto

Diablo 4 players unhappy as Uber Uniques disabled from Helltide events Blizzard EntertainmentDiablo 4’s Helltide events have been very generous when it comes to dropping Uber Uniques. This has turned out to be a bug though, and Blizzard has now decided to remove the items from the game’s loot pool. The endless search for top-tier loot is the goal for many Diablo 4 players. With Legendaries out there, it gives players incentives to take down World Bosses and conquer Nightmare Dungeons. Arguably the best loot in the game is the mega-rare Uber Uniques. As the name entails, the chances of getting one are extremely low and players are quite fortuitous if they’re able to acquire one. Helltide events usually represent the method of getting them, but no longer. After it was reported that their spawn rate had dramatically increased, Blizzard has now acted and removed them from the game for a while, leaving players unhappy. Diablo 4 Uber Uniques removed from Helltide events An announcement by Global Community Development Director Adam Fletcher clarified the situation: “We have temporarily disabled Uber Uniques from dropping in-game while we address an issue with Helltide Chest drops. Players will not be able to obtain the 6 Uber Unique items until a hotfix which we expect to be implemented on Friday afternoon Pacific Time. Other unique items will still be available from these chests.” One Uber Unique was reportedly dropping much more frequently than others – the Harlequin Chest AKA the Shako. In a Reddit post, one player had this to say: ” So a bunch of people got free Shako and everyone else go f*ck themselves. “So they genuinely only want like 5 of those to exist across the entire world?” What the f**k?” commented one player, and another sarcastically added: “Fun police on patrol today.” Another brutal comment laid into Blizzard’s speedy actions to the bug: “The funniest thing about this is how they’re willing to stay late to make sure players aren’t having *too* much fun, but Resistances aren’t going to work for another couple months, whoops, anyway go f**k yourselves Sorc, no fun for you either.” The Diablo 4 Season 1 hype has gotten players excited, even if it came with the caveat of unwanted Diablo Immortal news. But this Uber Uniques predicament will take the shine off of things somewhat.

  • Diablo 4 players unearth a new challenge they’ve dubbed ‘The Shiny Butcher’ – Dexerto

Diablo 4 players unearth a new challenge they’ve dubbed ‘The Shiny Butcher’ BlizzardDiablo 4 has its fair share of monstrous enemies to deal with when you’re trekking through its dungeons and vast open world. However, players on the game’s subreddit have just found an entirely new one and he’s big, real big. The Butcher is a now famous boss in Diablo 4 that some players may go their entire run without ever encountering. This is because he randomly spawns in the game’s dungeons or basements. He’s a beefy enemy that can be a nightmare to deal with in the early game and racked up an impressive body count in the game’s Open Beta. Even the unprepared late-game build may struggle against his massive health bar and ferocious attacks. As if the vanilla Butcher wasn’t already hard enough to contend with, players on the Diablo 4 subreddit recently stumbled across The Butcher on steroids. User IronHeart_777 published a screenshot showing the enemy covered in a striking red aura and nearly twice his usual size. The player explained they were running Nightmare Dungeons when this hulking monstrosity burst into the frame and bellowed his catch-cry “Fresh meat”. The OP and others in the thread initially dubbed the foe “Shiny Butcher”. It wasn’t long before other users put forth a compelling theory on what caused this unusual encounter. User swissarmywolf attributed the red aura and hulking size to a specific Nightmare Dungeon Affix designed to up the challenge. The Major Avenger Affix causes enrages enemies when nearby monsters are killed giving them 25% increased damage as well as the visual markers mentioned above. This turns the already imposing butcher into a big red machine of frightening combat effectiveness. The rewards for overcoming this massive challenge are well worth it though. The Butcher already drops quality loot upon defeat and the added affix improves the drops. For players to experience this themselves, they need to encounter an extremely rare combination of RNG mechanics. First, you need the Nightmare Dungeon you’re running to have the Major Avenger Affix applied, second (and even more rare) you’ll need the The Butcher to spawn. If you want to be prepared for the worst and overcome the freakishly big “Shiny Butcher”, check out all our Diablo 4 Guides here on Dexerto.

  • Diablo 4 players underwhelmed with BlizzCon campfire chat – Dexerto

Diablo 4 players underwhelmed with BlizzCon campfire chat Blizzard EntertainmentBlizzard’s latest campfire chat at BlizzCon left Diablo 4 fans very confused as to what the future holds for the title. BlizzCon has come and gone, showing Blizzard fans what’s coming to the studio’s suite of titles. Aside from Overwatch 2 and World of Warcraft, gamers around the world tuned in to see where Blizzard takes Diablo 4. Of course, Blizzard had something to show, and the opening ceremony of BlizzCon saw the reveal of an all-new expansion coming in 2024 titled Vessel of Hatred. The second day of the event brought more Diablo 4 discussion in the form of a campfire chat. However, it left fans very underwhelmed. Diablo 4 players discuss BlizzCon’s campfire chat Diablo’s been an interesting place since its launch earlier this year. Two seasons of content have hit the game since launch; the first landed flat, while the second is trending upward positively, garnering great feedback all around. BlizzCon seemed like the perfect opportunity to ride the hype following the Season of Blood’s infusion of goodwill. The Diablo 4 developers held a live campfire chat to discuss what’s coming to the maligned title, yet fans were quick to point out that the chat turned into “we’re not ready to share.” To be fair, there was a decent amount of plans discussed during the segment, such as the Midwinter Blight seasonal event coming in December. There was also the news that weekly leaderboards would be coming in the next season, which launches in January. That said, it wasn’t enough for many fans. “Yea it was a lot of nothing. Mostly a waste of time to watch/listen. Even the wow team gave more information about 3 expansions from now, than the d4 team gave away information about an expansion next year. But they had an hour to fill, so they did with the corporate waste of words,” a fan commented. Raxxanterax, the Diablo 4 player who hilariously uncovered every error with the Season of Blood launch trailer, summarized the campfire chat elegantly. This opportunity does seem like a miss, given Blizzard could’ve ridden the goodwill to the very end. There’s nothing wrong with holding all the cards, but for a game some deem “unfinished,” this was the time to reveal more of your hand.

  • Diablo 4 players uncover infinite loot spawn glitch providing endless riches – Dexerto

Diablo 4 players uncover infinite loot spawn glitch providing endless riches Blizzard EntertainmentA Diablo 4 player has uncovered an infinite spawn glitch that is providing others with an endless amount of legendaries and riches. Diablo 4, Blizzard’s most recent ARPG sees players explore and adventure through Sanctuary, the realm created by the mother herself Lilith. The open-world take on the Diablo formula has been a massive success, with the developers raking in a whopping $666 million and breaking Blizzard records. Part of Diablo’s success could be attributed to Blizzard’s ridiculous marketing campaign, even bringing in Megan Fox to recite eulogies for players who died along the way. Whilst exploring what Diablo 4’s large open world has to offer, any ARPG would not be complete without tonnes of loot on offer for the players who seek it. Loot can come from almost any form of content in Diablo 4, with mobs having the chance to drop some of the best loot. This makes the newest infinite spawn glitch one of the best loot farms in the entire game. Diablo 4 players have discovered a new way to infinitely spawn mobs, allowing for mass destruction and loot drops. Diablo 4 players discover an infinite mob spawning glitch As demonstrated by YouTuber RoyalkubsTV, players are able to enter a cellar and spawn in infinite amounts of enemies, provided the conditions are met. Players will need to encounter one of the save the hostages events, instead of saving them, however, you’ll want to sacrifice the hostages and round up all the enemies within the last five seconds. Make sure to take down all enemies exactly as the timer hits zero. If you’ve done this correctly, enemies will now infinitely respawn. It’s worth noting that this is an exploit, and will likely not be in the game forever. Blizzard will likely acknowledge this glitch and fix it, as they aim to keep the best loot at the high-difficulty activities such as Nightmare Dungeons and Helltides. However, until they do, feel free to farm loot til your heart’s content.

  • Diablo 4 players think Blizzard is overlooking “boring AF” problem – Dexerto

Diablo 4 players think Blizzard is overlooking “boring AF” problem Blizzard EntertainmentBlizzard is constantly tinkering with Diablo 4’s gameplay. Some changes have been received better than others, but one key area keeps being overlooked and Diablo 4 players are growing bored of the issue. Diablo 4 Season 1 is in the books and the devs recently sat down to play the game and explain some of their decision-making processes. Although, it didn’t go down that well as the community called the session “atrocious” and even Asmongold labeled the team as “out of touch”. Players have certainly been going back and forth with changes to Diablo 4. They’ve been big fans of changes to Nightmare Dungeons and Wrathful Hearts drop rate increases. On the other hand, they’ve not been impressed with the constant “silent changes” made to the game or a familiar aspect of Diablo 4’s gameplay. Diablo 4’s loot system is “mentally exhausting” to players According to Diablo 4 Reddit user E6Hooch: “For a loot-centric driven game, drops are boring AF.” This harks back to an issue that doesn’t seem to be going away or getting addressed by Blizzard – the loot system. The OP explained to the D4 community: “I don’t get excited when Rares drop, nor when Legendaries drop, and not when uniques drop. Legendaries and Uniques need to trigger that dopamine at the chance of getting an upgrade. They need to inherently have a chance at being better than rares. One way to achieve this could be by giving Legendaries and Uniques a 5th affix, which would ensure that there is a very good probability that it’s better than any rare you could possibly find.” One of the replies issued a constructive solution to the problem: “The real fix is, eliminating a good chunk of the useless stats no one uses or wants. Reducing the amount of loot that drops. So that when a piece does actually drop, it has great stats that we actually care about, and can properly min max. Without spending tedious time just vendoring everything that drops. Then increase the amount of gold dropped to balance the less loot dropped that just gets vendored.” Another post also highlighted the issues being caused by the game’s current loot system. “The loot system is very boring and mentally exhausting to me,” their post said, and they described how they were “forcing myself to enjoy the game.” They explained that they “get very overwhelmed and exhausted from having to think and read every single item after each dungeon” and other players had similar feelings. “The real fix is f**king loot filter,” offered one user and another said: “None of the gear items seems unique enough, different gear legendaries look the same on icons but have different names. It’s a shame, as the game is half-decent but the core aspect: the loot is completely broken and it seems we mainly play inventory management all the time!” With Diablo 4 Season 2 being cooked up, players will be holding their breath to see if Blizzard does decide to make some serious changes to the loot system.

  • Diablo 4 players stumped by “impossible” Mythic Unique drop – Dexerto

Diablo 4 players stumped by “impossible” Mythic Unique drop BlizzardAn insanely rare Mythic Unique drop has Diablo 4 players questioning how it’s even possible. Diablo 4 Season 5 has made some really positive changes to the game, even if some initial bugs have whittled down the enthusiasm. The titular Infernal Hordes have been called ‘the best thing to happen to the game’ and they have even managed to outshine the Artificer’s Pit. Almost equally well received were the buffs to the newly minted Mythic Uniques which are now even more sought after than they were when we called them Ubers. Of course, they’re still insanely rare, and getting them to drop is an exercise in patience. That’s why Reddit user MicRo_Mnager’s insane luck has fractured the minds of many Diablo 4 fans. Having a Mythic Unique drop from a Whisper Cache was too much for some to handle. Ordinarily, Mythic Uniques are reserved for endgame challenges like Nightmare Dungeons or the dreaded Tormented Echoes. This makes farming them a major hassle that requires an optimized build and a good deal of spare time. So, getting one from something as simple to acquire as a Whisper Cache has raised a few eyebrows. “I thought this was impossible by design,” one player said regarding the drop. “That is insanely rare. Never seen it before,” another chimed in. The reason that many thought a Mythic Drop from a Whisper Cache was impossible is because up until Diablo 4 Season 5, it wasn’t. Blizzard made some changes at the beginning of the season that allows any source that rewards items with a power of 925 to drop Mythic Uniques. This includes Whisper Caches, gambling Obols with Purveyors of Curiosities, Bosses, and Helltides under the right conditions. It is still exceedingly rare to receive a Mythic unique from sources outside of Tormented Echo bosses because they have individual loot tables and a significantly higher drop rate. Still, a Shako from a Whisper Cache is just as good as one from an Uber Duriel kill. Maybe even better given how easy Whispers are to complete.

  • Diablo 4 players still trying to find secret cow level despite devs saying it doesn’t exist – Dexerto

Diablo 4 players still trying to find secret cow level despite devs saying it doesn’t exist BlizzardDiablo 4 players are still on the lookout for an infamous secret cow level in the new sequel, despite developer Rod Fergusson confirming it doesn’t exist. Blizzard has hit absolute gold with their most recent installment of Diablo. Diablo 4 has seen widespread acclaim from the internet, with fantastic viewership on Twitch and praise from critics alike. Not only has the game done well reception-wise, but it’s made absolute bank for Blizzard, raking in over $666 million in its first release week. This has broken Blizzard’s all-time record, making it the fastest-selling game ever released. Diablo 4 features a more open-world approach to the franchise, allowing players to explore every nook and cranny that Sanctuary has to offer. From the multitude of towns, dungeons, and cellars to explore, there are plenty of secrets and treasures to be found all over the map. However, one such location that has yet to be found is a secret cow level. This hidden cow level has been a fan favorite of the series, originally appearing in Diablo 2 and continuing that tradition in Diablo 3. Unfortunately, according to General Manager Rod Fergusson, this secret level doesn’t actually exist in its fourth iteration. At least, that’s if we can trust his comments. Diablo 4 players are looking for the secret cow level, despite it not existing “One of the things we really wanted to do for Diablo 4 was we really wanted to ground it as much as possible,” Fergusson explained in conversation with Kinda Funny. “So we’ve had some fun but we wanted to make sure it felt authentic to the gothic dark themes that we had… We’ve been really focused on keeping it as grounded as possible, and because of that there’s no secret level in Diablo 4 that people might be looking for,” Fergusson teased. Despite these claims, however, many Diablo 4 fans have still taken it upon themselves to discover if this was really true. With many enticed about the potential of the hidden cow level, players set off making a Discord aptly titled “D4 – Not Finding a Cow Level”. The owner of the Discord server Carpeggios spoke to PCGamer about their goals and intentions. “I think a part of me wanted to be involved in a way I knew I could be, so I just started a Discord” they stated. Carpeggios isn’t too concerned if they aren’t able to find a mystical cow level, however, believing that many who have joined them are just immersing themselves in the chase. They suspect that many players are looking for something to do, now that they’ve finished the campaign and are waiting for Season 1. Only time will tell if a secret cow level is hiding in the mists of Sanctuary, but with the number of players looking for the elusive location, we’ll just have to wait and see.

  • Diablo 4 players claim the game literally puts them to sleep – Dexerto

Diablo 4 players claim the game literally puts them to sleep Blizzard EntertainmentWhile enjoying the game overall, some Diablo 4 players admit that it occasionally puts them to sleep when they’re playing. Diablo 4 launched a little over a month ago, but discourse about the experience’s many pros and cons remains the talk of the town. The story campaign and much of its accompanying content received widespread praise at release. Meanwhile, the endgame content, social features, and looting left a lot to be desired. As the wait for Season 2 presses on, comfort in Diablo 4’s status quo has become a problem for some players, so much so that it apparently makes them feel sleepy while playing. Diablo 4 fans say the game sometimes puts them to sleep Reddit user Qahnarinn recently posted a thread asking fellow Diablo 4 players the following: “Do you get sleepy playing?” The Redditor means no offense, but thinks their “boring build” and the monotony of pressing the same buttons gets so repetitive that playing “gives me the ZZZZ’s.” Replies to the thread show the original poster isn’t the only one who feels this way about the newest Diablo entry. One user responded, “Thought it was just me, I start bobbing for apples after an hour, doesn’t matter the time of day.” Someone else likened it to highway hypnosis, explaining that “You are preforming a task, one that you safely and correctly do all the time, and your mind enters a lul so to speak.” And others noted that various parts of Diablo 4 make it easy to fall asleep to. Its “slow combat, no major threats (outside HC), dull color palette, soothing music, ASMR blood squelched, [and] cyclical gameplay” can easily facilitate players’ drifting off. It’ll be interesting to see if users still feel this way when Blizzard starts rolling out Diablo 4’s Season 1 content.

  • Diablo 4 players slam World Boss loot as “absolute garbage” – Dexerto

Diablo 4 players slam World Boss loot as “absolute garbage” Blizzard EntertainmentDiablo 4 loot is a hot topic of conversation in Sanctuary. One area, in particular, being scrutinized by players is the subject of World Bosses and how the loot they drop is an “absolute waste of time.” There are many ways to spend your time in Diablo 4 from conquering Strongholds to farming Legendary items. On top of that, building up your character and stacking your inventory is the key to becoming stronger – but what does becoming stronger get you? Why, making you a more formidable proposition for PvP and annihilating bosses. The likes of the Butcher will naturally grab your attention, but so will the game’s World Bosses. These are serious tests of your ability and build. There is only a small handful of them, and the number of times you encounter one will lean toward the rare side of the scale. For players that do though and are able to beat them, they think that Blizzard needs to take a serious look at the loot they drop. Diablo 4 World Bosses are “absolutely non-rewarding” According to a post by Diablo 4 Reddit user djsedna: “World Bosses should drop a Grand Cache every time.” They went into a deep explanation of why they think this is: “I don’t understand why they don’t. World Boss loot is absolute garbage without the Grand Cache. If the game is intending to promote mechanics where we organically meet in the world and accomplish a task together, why would they make the incentives to do such a task absolutely non-rewarding?” They continued: “Helltide events feel like something that isn’t wasting my time. They feel challenging enough, there is the risk factor of dying, and the chests are very rewarding. On the other hand, a World Boss kill last night gave me literally all yellows. I had already done that World Boss, so no cache. Absolute waste of time for something that feels like a large and important event.” This is no doubt a prevalent issue for many, and others chimed in on the situation. “The difficulty of the world boss is not to miss its spawn time. Everything about the design is terrible, including the rewards,” said one of the top comments. Another user offered: “World bosses are dogsh*t. Literally, drop the same loot as an elite in a NM [Nightmare Dungeon]. It’s not the first time that loot has come under fire in Diablo 4 either. Players have been desperate for the return of a classic Diablo looting feature, and also think that treasure goblins are underwhelming.

  • Diablo 4 players slam “unplayable” Season 5 launch with server lag & crashes – Dexerto

Diablo 4 players slam “unplayable” Season 5 launch with server lag & crashes BlizzardWith any new video game update there are bound to be issues, especially with live-service titles. This time, Diablo 4 hit players with a whole slew of problems on the launch of Season 5. Blizzard launched Season of the Infernal Hordes on August 6 at 1 PM ET, and fans were quick to point out issues with the Season 5 patch. They ranged from freezes, black screens, and even crashes. Players aired their grievances on Reddit, outlining their struggle with running Diablo 4 despite running the game just fine prior to the patch. One fan asked if the game was laggier than normal and wondered if anyone was having similar issues. This player experienced “a lot of freezes, mobs popping in,” as well as quest markers showing up on the minimap even before the objective spawned. Sure enough, dozens of players responded and made their own posts about it. With any online game, if an influx of players logged in all at the same time, there would be many connection issues. Knowing this, one of the replies just said to “give it some time and then check back in a few days.” In another post on the Diablo 4 subreddit, a fan shared a video of how their game ran just after the launch of Season 5. The video presented their character struggling to move, alongside the inability to use the Skill Tree. Throughout all the Reddit posts speaking out against the troubles with the Season of the Infernal Hordes, there have been a few solutions presented. One player suggested disabling crossplay in the game’s settings, while another proposed turning down the resolution, though these efforts are likely fruitless. This could merely be a problem of servers being overcrowded for the new season as they struggle to keep up with the massive influx of players. However, turning off crossplay may help reduce the load on servers and give you a better shot at a more playable experience. Fans have also noticed an incursion of error code 75 messages popping up. While this error wasn’t new, it could still sour a player’s experience when attempting to play a new Season.

  • Diablo 4 players slam “unbalanced” PvP experience – Dexerto

Diablo 4 players slam “unbalanced” PvP experience Blizzard EntertainmentThose who have gotten far enough into Diablo 4 to hit the PvP zone aren’t happy with getting “spawnkilled” when trying to enter the zone and have called out the “unbalanced” PvP offering. Though PvP was a big part of Diablo during the heyday of Diablo 2’s original release, it has since become much less of a priority for the series. While Diablo 3 did technically have PvP, there wasn’t much focus placed on the small side arena players could challenge each other in. Diablo 4 has taken a more honest stab at finding a balanced way to implement PvP via having zones where players can fight over and extract resources that can be used to acquire new equipment. It’s vaguely reminiscent of the extraction type of PvP players have experienced in games like Tarkov and The Division’s Dark Zone. Some players are unhappy with the mode so far, with many voicing their opinion on how unbalanced the mode can be and claiming that it’s weighted heavily toward players who have already reached high levels. Diablo 4’s PvP zone slammed by players: “Welcome to hell” For most Diablo players, PvE is the main pull of the game. Whether they’re trying to run through the campaign solo or want to get through big challenges like Strongholds and World Events with their friends, there’s a ton of PvE content on offer for players to get through. However, most would be forgiven for not even knowing that Diablo 4 had a PvP mode in it. Players don’t usually encounter PvP until they’re a good ways into their playthrough seeing as both areas designated for fighting other players are a bit off the beaten path for main story content. Many of those who have participated in PvP didn’t come out with a good impression. In a rather sarcastic post on the Diablo 4 subreddit, a player shared their experience of getting “one shot” by a “Kyle” who is “covered in sweat and Doritos dust, as he heads back to town waiting for the next noob to show up.” Players have heavily criticized the mode for heavily favoring players who got in early and grinded, perfecting their builds and waiting for newer players to jump into the zone and give it a shot. Those in the replies either weren’t fans of the idea of the PvP mode or just don’t care to compete with other players in a game they bought primarily for its PvE offering. A great deal of players weren’t surprised to find that the mode was “unbalanced“. It was also pointed out that balancing the zones in a way that nerfs max level players wouldn’t feel great for them either, especially if they put hours into developing a strong build. This seems to be a tricky problem to solve. It remains to be seen if PvP gets any balance changes in the future.

  • Diablo 4 players slam Spiritborn’s similarity to older classes – Dexerto

Diablo 4 players slam Spiritborn’s similarity to older classes BlizzardDiablo 4’s Spiritborn class reveal has frustrated the player base thanks to some apparent similarities to existing classes in the franchise. Diablo 4’s Vessel of Hatred expansion will be the first paid DLC for the title and our first proper look came with the Spiritborn class reveal. Players had been waiting with great anticipation for a look at the new class and we got more than we bargained for after its entire Skill Tree leaked. Unfortunately, a combination of the new Spiritborn footage and the reveal of its inner workings has dampened the excitement for some Diablo 4 denizens. The primary issue is a perceived similarity between the new class and some older ones from Diablo 4 and earlier titles. Reddit user Waaailmer made a post on the Diablo 4 Subreddit that jokingly referred to the Spiritborn as the “cooler” Druid. While some players have pointed out common themes between the Spiritborn and the Druid, many more came forth with complaints about other potential inspirations. “They did say this class is new and hasn’t been in any other Diablo game. They didn’t say it has never been in Diablo 4 already though,” one player joked. “The way they described the class mechanic and legendary effects is also… just like Druid,” another responded. “It’s like they said buffing Druid is too hard, let’s just add a skinny Druid instead.” Others also took issue with how the Spiritborn’s gameplay appeared to emulate some of Diablo 3’s classes. “Looks like a green Monk, plays like a green Monk, so, it’s just a Monk, but it’s green,” one user commented. “It’s like if the Monk and Witch Doctor had a baby.” Some players felt as if Blizzard had misled them with pre-release comments regarding the Spiritborn class. “The amount of ‘Oh it’s brand new, it’s all new, it’s not the Monk, it’s not the Druid’ got really annoying when it fact it’s 1000% a mix of Druid and Monk with some Witch Dr,” a player lamented. “There is nothing new about the class.” The Spiritborn’s agile playstyle and spiritual connections to animals could certainly be read as referential to existing classes like the Druid or Monk. Certain Skills revealed in the emerging leaks do seem to point to a distinct playstyle, however.

  • Diablo 4 players slam Season 4 endgame’s “trash” Legendary items – Dexerto

Diablo 4 players slam Season 4 endgame’s “trash” Legendary items Blizzard / @micahulrichNow that the dust has settled on Diablo 4 Season 4’s Loot Reborn update, players are starting to get into the endgame grind. But, those who have gotten deep into it have noticed some flaws with how often Legendary items drop & their general lack of usefulness. In a broad sense, Diablo 4 Season 4 has gone over well with players. The Loot Reborn update, Tempering, revamped Helltides, and build diversity that Greater Affixes provide have given many the loot grind they’ve been looking for. Sure, most players end up settling into one build eventually, but the way they get there and how they refine their build to do exactly what they want it to has been a fun process. However, once people started getting to the very top of the loot ladder, problems arose. The legendary drop rate is incredibly high, especially once you get to Pit 100 or a high Threat level stack on Helltides, but most of those legendary items aren’t worth your time. A screen filled with Legendaries is common in endgame, with most items being obsolete and a downgrade from your current gear. “My brother, 98% of that is complete trash,” one user remarked. However, it’s worth considering that selling these Legendaries for gold or scrapping them is a solid option. Season 4’s gold grind is a constant one, after all. However, getting rid of these legendaries is a pain considering there’s no way to mass salvage or sell legendary items. Optimizing your loot, and what you get out of it, is a tedious process. But what makes legendary items that drop inferior to the player’s loot, even if they’re clearing the most difficult endgame tasks? Well, higher tier difficulties up the drop rate on Legendaries in general, but don’t influence how common it is to get high rolls on Affixes. “I have been no-lifing D4 pretty hard between two characters and am frustrated that the best way to farm GA x1,2,3’s is sitting on the Helltide Blood Maiden for 30 mins and then going to open chests,” a Reddit user claimed. “Going to farm the feeder bosses for mats and seeing x2-3 GA’s sub 925 drop is super frustrating after hours of dirt from Pit 100’s and Helltides.” This is an even bigger problem for console players who don’t have as many ways to sort through loot. Having this many Legendaries on the ground to sort through without an option to sell or scrap them en masse is already a problem on PC, but it’s only exacerbated when playing on a controller. “Lol, this amount of loot on the ground would be a nightmare on console,” one player remarked after seeing the dozens of Legendaries on screen. This problem is even further compounded by “bricked” Legendary items, a term for when a player runs out of chances to Temper the Affixes on their weapon. Each weapon only gets 5 rerolls, meaning that players who end up with bad Affixes on their Legendaries are out of luck. As a result, you’re still forced to look through all of the Legendary loot that drops for a shot at an item that’s similar to what you want with another shot at getting optimal GAs, but most of what you sort through is garbage. It’s worth bearing in mind this is a problem only for those who are trying to optimize their gear and tackle content at the height of the endgame. Loot Reborn is a clear step up from Diablo 4’s release state in most cases, especially when factoring in other systems like Masterworking, Helltides Reborn, and the Pit of Artificers, but players feel that the loot overhaul needs some tweaks.

  • Diablo 4 players slam Season 3 loot as ‘boring’ and ‘tedious’ – Dexerto

Diablo 4 players slam Season 3 loot as ‘boring’ and ‘tedious’ Blizzard EntertainmentDiablo 4 players are fed up with loot in Season 3, dubbing it ‘boring’ and ‘tedious’. Instead, they’re asking for more creativity from the devs and better itemization for loot all ’round. The latest season of Diablo 4, Season of the Construct, has seen its fair share of detractors since it went live. There have been multiple bugs with bosses, complaints about the Seneschal, and disappointment with the new Vault mechanic too. And although Blizzard does seem to try to address players’ concerns with each new patch, not every problem can be solved with a quick hotfix. The latest gripe from players is a lot bigger mechanically than a bug with a boss or tweaking the stats on a companion. It’s the loot. “I was going through my inventory full of rares and legendaries, and just started to fall asleep,” one player said in his thread on Reddit regarding loot. It went on to generate a large amount of discussion with many other players echoing his sentiment. “The loot is tedious and boring. There’s zero joy items dropping in D4. There’s so much of it there’s nothing to be excited about.” One user agreed. Blizzard has increased the loot drops in dungeons recently but for some of the player base, the quantity isn’t the problem. It’s the quality of the drops. Many users drew comparisons with other ARPGs and some even pointed out Diablo 2’s innovative loot design was such a big draw for the game, players are still playing today. “We play the game for yellow loot,” another said, listing aspects they didn’t enjoy; the fact legendary items “are just crafting fodder.” And that most of the loot was simply stat-focused, claiming, “Not enough of the loot alters how you play.” “Everyone is drooling over D4’s shako yet it’s one of [the] most boring items in the game,” said another. “Bunch of skills and damage reduction, how creative.” If Blizzard intends to address this particular player issue is anyone’s guess. But it’s definitely becoming a talking point.

  • Diablo 4 players slam respec options and feel “locked-in” to their builds – Dexerto

Diablo 4 players slam respec options and feel “locked-in” to their builds Blizzard EntertainmentDiablo 4 players have called on developer Blizzard to update the game to give players options to easily respec characters after claiming that they feel like the game “locks in” builds for you without the ability to experiment. Although Diablo 4 has only been out for a few weeks, players have already explored much of what the action RPG has to offer. Dedicated fans have already made multiple characters to test out different playstyles and see what combat is like from other perspectives. However, some fans have called on Blizzard to add options to easily respec character abilities, as some players believe the easiest alternative is simply making an entirely different character. Players want more ways to experiment with their existing characters rather than having to make new ones. Diablo 4 players want helpful respec options A thread on the Diablo 4 subreddit gained traction among the community after the OP said they “hat the build lock-in” present within the game’s design. The full post explained: “So, been enjoying D4 and have gotten to level 81 on my rogue. I love the penshot build I’m running but I hate the fact that if I want to run an alternate build based on Flurry or Twisting Blades I’m better off making two new characters and leveling and gearing them up.” While players can respec skills in Diablo 4, doing so costs gold after reaching level 10, and respeccing many skills at once can be quite expensive. While the OP acknowledged this was the intended design, they felt it hampered experimentation when building characters. Many fans in the comments agreed with the desire for more generous respec options, as one player said, “I absolutely agree… I still can’t believe why we can’t save our builds as in D3… Respeccing is a pain as it is now.” Others noted their frustration that some Quality of Life features present in Diablo 3 didn’t carry over to Diablo 4. “It’s crazy to me how so many of the QoL features in D3 were not included in D4. This has to be the biggest one requested.” Although some fans insisted a big draw of the Diablo series is the incentive to create multiple characters, it seems clear that many players with busier schedules would like to see a more lenient option when it comes to respecing in Diablo 4.

  • Diablo 4 players slam “outrageously bad” Season 3 content & mechanics – Dexerto

Diablo 4 players slam “outrageously bad” Season 3 content & mechanics BlizzardDiablo 4 players are up in arms over the newly-released Season 3 to the game, upset about the content and new mechanics that are coming. Diablo 4’s third season released a couple of days ago, and the hype around it has died out rather quickly. From the lack of changes that the community has asked for to and the broken mechanics of the new story and content. As a result, players are voicing their frustration online and they are not holding back in their criticisms of the developers. Diablo 4 players railing Season 3’s content and devs On the Diablo 4 subreddit, a post was made with a very concise critique aimed at the devs: “It’s impossible a dev team worked on this for 6 months.” And that’s just the title. The body of the post continues on to explain how “there’s simply no way” they worked so long on Season 3. “None of these people can have a job in this industry… you’re given the biggest arpg title and you do this?” And the original poster is not alone in their feelings, as the comments reflect their sentiment about the length of development: “Even if we ignore the quality of the seasonal content, the sheer lack of quantity makes it difficult to believe that it’s the product of months of work.” A common complaint is that the new Diablo 4 season doesn’t make any changes that the community has been asking for, even going so far as to go the other direction & against players’ wishes. “New blizzard meta; whatever the community suggests and recommend, they’re going to double it in the opposite direction.” Many of the players in the thread are annoyed by the mechanics, like the Construct companion that gets upgraded as players progress. They aren’t a huge fan of these new mechanics and feel that they lack impact or an incentive to farm. “Yesterday I reached lvl 35 and I was looking at the screen and i didnt know what else to do. Apart for what i did for the previous 2 hours. Thats the problem.” The Diablo 4 fanbase is clearly seeing this as another symptom of Diablo 4’s development being flawed, with one user saying: “Everything about Diablo 4 is a product management disaster.” The game has not been without its fair share of criticisms since it launched in June of 2023, and a lot of those issues that players had at launch are still present in the game. It seems that the fans have lost faith in the devs to deliver on what they feel needs to be changed, but it isn’t completely out of the question for the game to have a massive comeback.

  • Diablo 4 players slam item rerolls as “worst” part of the game in Season 3 – Dexerto

Diablo 4 players slam item rerolls as “worst” part of the game in Season 3 Blizzard EntertainmentDiablo 4 players have slammed item rerolling as one of the “worst” parts of the game in Season 3. Blizzard’s action RPG Diablo 4 has had a bit of a rocky history. The game launched to an incredibly strong start, boasting fantastic reviews and a player base excited to take on Lilith. However, the game stumbled during its first season, with many players being left unsatisfied with what the devs had to offer. Season 2 of Diablo 4 managed to save the game from the brink, pulling players back into the ARPG. However, Season 3 has seen a bit of a dip in player reception. One of the main facets of Season of the Construct is the new Vault dungeons, these allow for hardcore grinders to nab some of the best loot possible. This works fantastically for those who are looking to min-max their stats, obtaining the most optimal build possible. But players must first get through one of the “worst” parts of the game to do so. Diablo 4 players slam Blizzard over item reroll system Diablo 4 players have lashed out at the item rerolling system as being one of the “worst” parts of the game in Season 3. Players are able to reroll a selected stat by speaking to an Occultist in town, these merchants can magically change a stat on an item for a fee. “I honestly can’t think of a worse, more frustrating experience than sifting through hundreds if not thousands of items, getting something close to what you want and just not having the 30 million gold per reroll to get the stat you need,” the post read. “Diablo 4 crafting system is probably the single worst I’ve ever seen. They took the Diablo 3 system, made it worse and put it into the game,” another player pointed out. “They should be embarrassed by this IMO. It’s not like they tried to innovate on the D3 system and failed – it’s just the D3 system but objectively worse in every way,” another agreed. With Diablo 4 being a game as a service, Blizzard could look to change this model in the future, but for now, players are not too happy with the current system.

  • Diablo 4 players slam “half-baked” Strongholds as a “missed opportunity” – Dexerto

Diablo 4 players slam “half-baked” Strongholds as a “missed opportunity” Blizzard EntertainmentDiablo 4’s Strongholds can be a fun change of pace from the game’s more by-the-numbers content. Unfortunately, their one-and-done nature is a problem for many players. Diablo 4 has a plethora of in-game activities with new iterations added every season. Reception to these has been mixed with Season 2’s Blood Harvests receiving massive acclaim while the Vault dungeons introduced in Season of the Construct are a lot less popular. Alongside these seasonal inclusions, more permanent additions to the game are added on occasion to bolster Diablo 4’s core content. Things like The Gauntlet and its accompanying leaderboard systems which despite some initial hiccups, have the potential to extend the game’s playability. While the critique of new additions is commonplace for Diablo 4, certain features that have been in the game since launch still draw some heat. Reddit user u/mcbeardsauce took to the game’s Subreddit to bemoan the “missed opportunity” of Diablo 4’s Strongholds and many players agree. The primary issue with Strongholds that Diablo 4 players have is their short shelf life and the disconnect between how they were positioned in pre-release marketing versus their in-game implementation. These unique mission-based overworld dungeons are completed a single time and beyond unlocking a fast travel point, there’s not much reward. “Here I see an empty, half-baked idea that has been left to just be another icon on the map we all ignore,” u/mcbeardsauce reasoned. “They need to flesh out this aspect of the game more, adding meaningful endgame content.” “I honestly haven’t even bothered with them since Season 1 unless I needed to open up a dungeon or want a fast travel point,” another user agreed. “They’re just not interesting after the first clear.” Many Diablo 4 players took a constructive approach to their critique offering potential improvements such as unique vendors or horde defense opportunities. “The one thing I want more than anything is more multiplayer interactions and strongholds seem like the perfect opportunity,” one player summarised. As it stands, Strongholds offer some of the more unique combat encounters in Diablo 4 and are an especially good way to increase region progress. Whether any major changes to Strongholds are on the table in future updates remains to be seen but the Season 4 Campfire Chat is set to unveil a host of new additions to Diablo 4.

  • Diablo 4 players criticize ‘unsatisfying’ game progression with list of issues – Dexerto

Diablo 4 players criticize ‘unsatisfying’ game progression with list of issues Blizzard EntertainmentPraise has been the order of the day for Diablo 4 since its successful launch. However, players feel that the core progression of the game is lacking with some going as far as to say that “something feels very, very off in Diablo IV’s progression.” Most major AAA, online games tend to feature a slew of connectivity issues, but Diablo 4 has mostly avoided them so far. True, the likes of Error Code 315306 and Error Code 316751 have been hindering users recently. But outside of some inconvenient technicalities, fans have generally praised Diablo 4. The game’s momentum may be about to encounter some resistance though. Users have identified some big complaints regarding the game’s progression system. Players feel that several key aspects are letting the experience down as a whole. Diablo 4 game progression marred by important factors According to Reddit user TheStarNomad in a post titled “Progression isn’t satisfying” they described how their personal journey with Diablo 4 wasn’t delivering all they’d wished for. “I hope I’m alone in this. But something feels very, very off in Diablo IV’s progression. I know the internet loves misery and complaints, and I absolutely hate that I feel this way. I just needed to get it off my chest. Just didn’t know how else to process this shock.” They explained over the course of many paragraphs that they love various core principles of the gamer including the story, world, and sound design, amongst other things, but they “don’t feel hooked.” Problems cited are directed toward gear rarity differences being minute, implied dynamic level scaling in the world, the combat pacing, and the sense that internal player power progression feels minimal for the most part. The player wasn’t alone in their thoughts as many other users back their opinion up. “The level scaling is a bit aggressive,” said one player, and another went as far as to say that “Level scaling is fundamentally bad game design.” Level scaling certainly bore the brunt of the majority of the community’s ire: “This right f*cking here. Every single game these days is coming out with dynamic scaling and it f*cking sucks. Especially in an ARPG where progression is quite literally everything. You realize that the only thing “dynamic scaling” is, is essentially just turning your level into a cosmetic, right? It’s not an added feature – it’s the removal of what used to be well-designed and rewarding gameplay.” angrily commented one D4 user. With nearly 1,000 comments and counting, feedback and responses continue to flood in. The player base is unified in many of the OP’s thoughts, so we’ll have to see how Blizzard opts to tweak the game moving forward. After all, a hefty patch has already made big changes to the Barbarian and Druid classes in Diablo 4.

  • Diablo 4 players slam “broken” Uber Lilith mechanic – Dexerto

Diablo 4 players slam “broken” Uber Lilith mechanic Blizzard EntertainmentUber Lilith continues to claim victims in Diablo 4’s Season of Blood, and players are unhappy with one mechanic in particular. So far, the Season of Blood has brought renewed life to a game beleaguered since its release back at the start of June. It brought a host of changes to the game’s fundamentals and a refreshed leveling experience that has reduced the emphasis on grinding. That said, there are still a lot of issues across the board. The post-Level 70 experience lacks variety and a litany of specs that are not viable in the endgame. Outside of those are the boss fights, which continue to draw condemnation from the player base for their overall design, with one in particular coming in for the worst criticism. Uber Lilith has one mechanic that players universally dislike For those who don’t know, Uber Lilith represents the pinnacle of the Diablo 4 antagonists. As an endgame boss, the encounter is about as tricky as they come, with complex gameplay and a brutal damage check that will kill all but the best-equipped champions. One mechanic in particular is drawing the ire of the community, as a post on Reddit vented about the Stage 1 Demonic Waves ability. The user expressed significant frustration at how difficult the waves are to avoid, before lamenting the idea that they essentially act as a damage check. Others quickly agreed, with one saying: “This mechanic is not really making any sense. Latency doesn’t help, graphic doesn’t seem to line up.” Others pointed out that while the waves are genuinely challenging to navigate, it can be done: “Go to the bottom/center of the circle when she flies to use the waves. Then, you can dodge to the top center and avoid the downward wave – or they might come sideways, and you can dodge to the top in most situations.” As Uber Lilith is designed to be the most difficult opponent in the game, it’s little wonder so many are struggling. That said, Blizzard is well known for overtuning bosses in many of the live service games, and this one could be due for a reassessment.

  • Diablo 4 players slam Blizzard for “wasting our time” with Diablo Immortal – Dexerto

Diablo 4 players slam Blizzard for “wasting our time” with Diablo Immortal Blizzard EntertainmentBlizzard’s newest livestream is in the book and while Diablo 4 players have learned a lot about D4 Season 1, the constant presence of Diablo Immortal has frustrated players who don’t want the game shoved down their throats. After weeks of waiting, we finally know a great deal about Diablo 4 Season 1. The first of what we’re sure will be many seasons over the next few years, Diablo 4 Season 1 will make a ton of changes including shared map progress. During the course of the livestream though, Blizzard also referenced and showed off features and changes coming to Diablo Immortal. Even though the mobile game has improved a lot since its initial release, the controversial title still leaves a bitter taste in the mouth of loyal fans who don’t want anything to do with it. Diablo Immortal needs separate stream from Diablo 4 moving forward Two different Diablo 4 subreddit threads called Blizzard out for making players have to sit through Diablo Immortal content, just to get to the Diablo 4 information they really wanted. “Can we NOT combine D4 and D-Imortal streams in the future? you’re wasting our time,” said one post, and the OP explained: “I am sure this was an attempt to get more eyes and more $$$ on Diablo Immortal. But having to watch this Immortal stream and now the questions and answers…is brutal. And your 90-minute stream is impacted because time is split.” One player commented: “If they’d put the Immortal stuff last, it’d be fine. Putting it first is such a scummy move because they know that 95% of viewers were there for the D4 information. Putting the Immortal news first is an act of underhanded advertisement because the viewer basically has to sit through it due to not knowing when they’ll get to the D4 stuff.” Others think that the community should just not bother watching the stream in the first place. “Maybe just don’t waste your time in general and read up on the news within 5 minutes after the stream ends?” suggested one user, and another chimed in: “I feel like the streams are a waste of time anyway. They repeat themselves far too often, answer pointless questions and just try to hype shit up. The way they talk is so scripted too. I’d rather just read a summary or watch your favorite content creator go through it.” Whereas another Diablo 4 Reddit thread simply asked Blizzard for one thing: “Have a separate stream for Diablo Immortal.” “Diablo Immortal is the worst Diablo game that currently exists,” offered one user, and another explained: “Nah, they will push the cash cow til it dies. No better way to push it than slam it at the beginning of an anticipated Season 1 D4 announcement. I don’t blame them, I blame the idiots paying to play Immortal.” The push for microtransactions and a pay-to-win model for Diablo Immortal has scarred the community. The ever-lasting feeling of bitterness is evidently not going away anytime soon, so Blizzard may have to rethink their livestream strategy for future presentations.

  • Diablo 4 players slam “annoying” Season 3 traps – Dexerto

Diablo 4 players slam “annoying” Season 3 traps Blizzard EntertainmentDiablo 4 Season 3 is off to a mixed start, but the abundance of deadly traps in dungeons has players more annoyed than entertained. Season 3 of Diablo 4 is all about discovering the ancient mechanical relics of Zoltun Kulle, a fan-favorite ally turned enemy, turned reluctant ally again from Diablo 3. The character was a mad genius who was known for creating harmful inventions that could be used as weapons and filled his workshops with deadly traps to deter intruders. Now Season 3 is live, players will be spending a lot of time delving into Zolton Kulle’s workshops which have since become infested with demons, or worse, demons have possessed the old sorcerer’s mechanical monstrosities. This sounds like it would be fun, but it’s starting to sound like the game has gone a little bit overboard on the traps in Season 3. While the Diablo 4 Season 3 trailer made it crystal clear we were going to be seeing more fiendish traps this season, this addition to gameplay has already started to irritate a segment of the player base. Some feel that the overreliance on traps in Season 3 is more annoying than innovative, and has made gameplay seem cheap. One disgruntled player said on Reddit: “Is anyone sick to death of the trap BS already? Sorry, but they’re just a gigantic hindrance in clearing areas causing it to be slow and annoying. I watched the stream where they said they were adding more traps to dungeons but this is wildly ridiculous and I’m already about to quit.” Another said: “I don’t understand their obsession with trying to waste our time. Like man, these empty trap rooms aren’t hard, they’re just annoying and I have to waste time running through them when it could have just been a normal room full of monsters to kill, which is the fun part of the game.” Others were more ambivalent saying: “I’ve never really noticed them enough to be bothered.” While some players saw them as a refreshing change of pace, saying: “I like them. It adds a different mode. I don’t think slowing down is an issue if it’s for problem-solving. I think a lot of people go into this kinda game with a mentality of just destroying everything mindlessly which to me is just not very fun.” While the traps do exist to hinder the player and encourage them to engage in something other than combat, we can see why some committed Diablo players find this jarring. After all, Diablo is a game about hacking up hordes of demons rather than problem-solving. However, basic puzzles have always been part of the series, and Season 3 of Diablo 4 may simply be leaning into this aspect of the franchise’s heritage.

  • Diablo 4 players sick of slow mounts: “Lost Ark handles mounts better” – Dexerto

Diablo 4 players sick of slow mounts: “Lost Ark handles mounts better” Blizzard EntertainmentWhile Diablo 4 players are glad they finally have mounts in the series, some fans think their implementation is lacking and have claimed that Lost Ark’s mount system is superior. Diablo 4 changed up the established formula in several ways. Not only are World Bosses now a prevalent force throughout the land of Sanctuary, but players can traverse the map with more ease thanks to mounts. A means of traveling faster, mounts are a fairly common sight in RPGs and open-world games. So, it was great for fervent Diablo players who were going to sink countless hours into the new game. For all the positives that they’ve brought to the title, there have been some negatives too. For instance, the dismount mechanic has been the target of criticism. Now, players are unhappy with the speed of mounts and think the game could do with taking some notes from Lost Ark. Diablo 4 players want mounts to be much faster The ‘Lisa Simpson in front of a projector screen’ meme was posted to the Diablo 4 subreddit by user Ghostflop and had the following text on it: “The horse should be able to sprint in town.” Currently, once a player enters a town or crosses an invisible checkpoint close to the town’s edges, players’ mounts will come to a leisurely trot. Whether you’re there to explore or pass through, the pace of your gameplay will slow down drastically, and Diablo 4 players want this changed. “I feel like the horse should just always move at “sprint” speed and remove that button. What is good about barely moving faster than walking speed unless you spam a cooldown? Who asked for that? What is the redeeming value of making getting around to the sh*t you wanna do in a game clunky?” said one D4 player. Another commenter chimed in: “When you get off your horse because it’s faster to Sprint around town,” and worse still, the community thinks that Amazon’s Lost Ark MMO actually does the system better: “Can I at least not get stifled by invisible walls, rubber banding, and a weird charge-up time before full movement- then we ought to be talking about sprinting in town. The fact Lost Ark handles mounts better is a disgrace to Diablo.” While it’s not the biggest issue in Diablo 4 right now, with Asmongold saying that the game is bleeding players, it could do well to appease the D4 community with such a simple remedy.

  • Diablo 4 players share the classes they’ll never play – Dexerto

Diablo 4 players share the classes they’ll never play Blizzard EntertainmentFor some Diablo 4 players, not all of the game’s classes are viable options. With its ten available character slots, Diablo 4 incentivizes experimenting with different builds and classes. There’s five classes to choose from including Necromancer, Rogue, Barbarian, Druid, and Sorcerer. Each of these offers a varied skillset and can be suited to a number of playstyles. Even if you choose to only play one character at a time, the reset means it’s definitely worth trying out a new class at the start of the season. Thankfully, you have some great choices available. Here are the Diablo 4 classes that players say they’ll never play Despite the strengths of each class, a player kicked off a discussion in the Diablo 4 subreddit by sharing the class that they have no interest in playing: “For me it’s Barb. I just don’t play straight up warrior/fighter type classes in any game, because I find them so simple and boring.” They then invited others in the community to share their feelings on the issue. One commenter echoed OPs assertions that Barbarian is too “simple” saying, “Barb. Triple shout + something ,1 button build. Sounds like super boring class to play.” Meanwhile, another player called the Necromancer “sleep-inducing” and explained, “nothing in their kit appeals to me. Started this season with one and quit at lvl65. Played minions, played bloodmist, bloodsurge, bonestorn.” A common point of complaint was the Rogue class, which some players claimed to be a messy combination of ranged attacks and speedy stealth: “They combine ranger and assassin class into one, which I sincerely hate. Half-baked.” The most upvoted comment in the thread was one on the Druid. Yet, far from any mechanical difference, these players were upset about the class’ heavy build: “Druid. They look like fat lumps of sh*t.” Both the male and female models for the Druid are far larger and less toned than other classes, a choice made by the developers to contribute to the Druid’s “class fantasy” of a tanky, thriving survivalist. Despite any possible lore-based justification, some players remain apprehensive about the idea of playing as a strong-fat character: “Honestly I don’t think I’ll play Druid again unless they go on a diet.”

  • Diablo 4 players “rooting for” Blizzard after promising Season 2 update – Dexerto

Diablo 4 players “rooting for” Blizzard after promising Season 2 update Blizzard EntertainmentThings are looking up for Diablo 4 with its Season 2 update being received extremely well leading players to now root for Blizzard to continue the promising work. It’s no secret that Diablo 4 has been an overwhelming success since its launch in June 2023. Despite this there have been numerous complaints and the community hasn’t shied away from letting Blizzard know. Yet the arrival of Season of Blood has seen these complaints slow down with players being genuinely impressed by the update. From the massively improved mounts to the dungeon layout reworks, Season 2 has gone down well. The support isn’t stopping anytime soon either with Diablo 4’s loyal playerbase now declaring that it’s fully behind Blizzard. Diablo 4 players rooting for Blizzard to keep up the good work Impressed by the changes Blizzard has introduced in Season 2, one user posted on Reddit: “Season 2 brought back the fun. It’s a massive step in the right direction. Huge quality of life changes. The horse is better, the pacing is better, the dynamic of mechanics and more gameplay. This is the way forward.” “Back to slaying baddies and actually having fun. Vampiric powers? Interesting and makes killing things FUN and not a CHORE. It’s all about power and things to DO with that power,” they continued heaping praise onto the developers. Following all those compliments OP concluded: “Can’t wait to see what Diablo has in store for the next one. Right now, this patch and seasonal content shows they understand what we want. They’re trying. We’re rooting for you Blizzard.” Many were quick to agree with one highly upvoted response stating: “Biggest complaints now are people crying 3 seasonal consumables don’t have their own tab. Pretty small problem and a good sign a lot of stuff is going well.” “Items still feel like a chore, but besides that everything’s been good. Season 1 it was just farm to 50, then NMD to 100 with a few helltides sprinkled in, but now there are too many things to do,” another player replied choosing to focus on the positives. Not everyone was quite as sold though with some being skeptical of how long the good times will last posting: “Just wait a week,” and “It’s the first day of the patch. People will get bored in 1 week and complain. Game still has 0 progression after level 70.” For now at least, Diablo 4’s community is more positive than ever and Blizzard has done a great job keeping even its most vocal fans happy, and that’s something most game developers could only dream of.

  • Diablo 4 players roast the game for having worse features than Diablo Immortal – Dexerto

Diablo 4 players roast the game for having worse features than Diablo Immortal Blizzard EntertainmentDiablo 4 players have been lamenting the game’s lack of content for a while now and comparisons to other titles have dominated the conversation. Now, players are holding it up against Blizzard’s mobile game Diablo Immortal and claiming it’s still falling short. Diablo 4 had a promising launch that broke records for Blizzard in a year stacked with major releases. However, it hasn’t been able to keep that momentum into the back half of 2023. In the months following its release, Diablo 4’s community has been steadily losing morale thanks to poorly received patches and a lack of live-service content. Interest in the game has been steadily dropping with empty servers, shockingly low Twitch viewership, and dedicated content creators abandoning the game. Now at the game’s lowest point, Diablo 4 players on its Subreddit have begun comparing the title to Diablo Immortal. u/Lothpixel began the conversation by asking the community why the mobile game has more endgame content than a full console release. The player specifically mentions Diablo Immortal’s Dungeon Finder, Castle Defence, and Raid content as desirable endgame features. As it stands, Diablo 4’s only real endgame content is its Nightmare Dungeons and the Uber Lilith challenge. Some users are optimistic that Diablo 4 will improve in time after its rocky foundation is ironed out. “There’s no point in adding a ton of new systems to a game with a weak foundation, but D4 is getting there at a pretty nice pace,” one user explained. Others weren’t sold on the idea and criticized Blizzard for releasing the game in a barren state to begin with. “If they were worried about giving us features and an actual endgame they would have implemented it from the start,” another user responded. One thing many users were able to agree upon was that Diablo 4’s lack of communal play features definitely diminishes the experience. “Diablo 4 should borrow many things from Diablo Immortal, especially the social features,” a user conceded Diablo 4’s second major content update Season of Blood will release shortly after Season of the Malignant ends on October 17. Players have already said that a major overhaul is needed for Season of Blood or Blizzard risks the death of the game. Not much is known about Diablo 4’s second season as of yet but Blizzard has said that they’ll need at least four hours to fill players in on the new content. Hopefully, it’s enough to re-engage the fanbase.

  • Diablo 4 players reveal 30 billion gold item that caused Blizzard to cease trading – Dexerto

Diablo 4 players reveal 30 billion gold item that caused Blizzard to cease trading Blizzard EntertainmentA 30 billion gold item is what caused the Diablo 4 players to be on the receiving end of the devs’ trading ban. We’ve now learned what the item in question is and how it all went down as the game-wide ban continues to plague the game. Many players were shocked to learn that all forms of trading in Diablo 4 came to a screeching halt. In the blink of an eye, the devs issued a ‘Suspension of Trading’ notice. It explained that D4 players would not be able to trade until Blizzard was able to resolve a serious gold and item duplication glitch. Not only that, but players were also being threatened with bans if they engaged in this exploit. Thanks to the efforts of the community, we now know what caused the trading ban, and it seems to be an ongoing issue for the devs. 30 billion gold item responsible for Diablo 4 trading ban Specifically, it is one weapon that has single-handedly caused all of this bother. In a YouTube video shared by user Jeppe-O, users saw the item in question. It’s a crossbow- a near-maxed out ‘Cut Symbol’ Ancestral Rare Crossbow to be more precise. Described as “1% off triple max roll,” the Crossbow has unbelievable power and any Diablo 4 player would obviously do anything to get their hands on it. Initially, all any player needed to do was stump up the first auction price of 150 million gold and the user would sell. However, things got out of hand rather quickly. The video showed the bidding process and how everything transpired. Bids started flying in at all angles taking proceedings up to the billions within no time at all. Eventually, one user claimed that they could give the crossbow holder “as much as you want,” before settling upon the eventual 30 billion gold price. The final image shows an exorbitant amount of gold being exchanged and seems to be the cause of Blizzard ending trading temporarily. There’s a known glitch in D4 that allows players to duplicate items, so it goes without saying that duplicating a 30-billion gold crossbow might cause one or two issues. Again, we’ll keep you updated as to when Blizzard fixes the issue and re-enable trading for Diablo 4 players. Also, make sure to check out the worrying news surrounding the game’s player count, as well as news on the end of Diablo 4 Season 1.

  • Diablo 4 players rejoice as Season 2 Patch reveals Paragon reset and Training Dummy – Dexerto

Diablo 4 players rejoice as Season 2 Patch reveals Paragon reset and Training Dummy Blizzard EntertainmentA bunch of Diablo 4 Season 2 info just dropped thanks to one of Blizzard’s famed Campfire Chats. Oddly enough, a Training Dummy is the star of the show, only slightly overshadowing changes to Paragon Boards. Diablo 4 devs are rolling out a slew of new details about the impending Season of Blood. Recently announced plans for more events, content, and QoL changes in Patch 1.2.0 have players hopeful for a comeback. A recent Campfire Chat on October 10 continued building steam for Diablo 4 Season 2 with new changes for Uniques revealed. Despite that massive news, hopeful players have latched onto a smaller announcement. A brief snippet regarding Patch 1.2.1, the first update scheduled following the launch of Season 2, will add a Training Dummy to the game. Perhaps more important is a much-needed change to build crafting with Diablo 4’s Paragon Boards. Developers explained that come Patch 1.2.1 “there will be an option for you to be able to reset your Paragon Board”. “It’s going to make respecs easier and be better for players,” they finished. This feature has been requested by Diablo 4 players since the release of the game and is a massive quality-of-life improvement. Prior to this, players have had to individually refund Paragon points which can be a laborious effort. The option to fully refund your Paragon points in a single action will make switching up your build far easier in Diablo 4. Reception to the feature has been overwhelmingly positive but players seem more excited about testing their builds using a newly announced Training Dummy. “Training Dummy is one of the best announcements today,” a user on the Diablo 4 Subreddit responded to the news. “Now we will be able to consistently compare options without being a math whiz.” The Training Dummy will be located in the capital city of Kyovashad but both it and the Paragon reset will not be available until Patch 1.2.1. During the Campfire Chat, the developers confirmed the patch would come “after Season 2 but before Blizzcon”. Diablo 4 Season of Blood launches on October 17 and Blizzcon begins on November 3. Players can expect the Patch at some point in between and Blizzard will likely announce an official date for the update ahead of its implementation.

  • Diablo 4 players rejoice after massive Nightmare Dungeons buffs – Dexerto

Diablo 4 players rejoice after massive Nightmare Dungeons buffs Blizzard EntertainmentIn anticipation of Season 1 of Diablo 4, the development team is set to make changes. Among those tweaks are buffs to Nightmare Dungeons, a move that’s made players very happy. Diablo 4 has only been out for a few weeks, but the developers are now set to make some notable changes as the beginning of Season 1 approaches. Several of those tweaks were highlighted by the development team during a conversation on YouTube this past week. Among other big changes geared toward fixing community concerns, they addressed Nightmare Dungeons, one of Diablo 4’s end game staples. Diablo 4 fans were excited to hear that Nightmare Dungeons will not only be easier to access, but that players will gain greater rewards from doing them. Buffs coming to Diablo 4 and Nightmare Dungeons In a Diablo 4 developer Campfire Chat on June 16, the folks over at Blizzard highlighted some of the changes that will be coming to the title over the coming weeks. Among the notable changes is that the Diablo 4 team will be buffing the amount of XP and reward that can be gained from the Nightmare Dungeons. Additionally, Diablo players will also have the ability to directly teleport to the dungeons. This change, in a sense, is to encourage players to engage more with Diablo 4’s end game. It’s also set to shake up the meta when it comes to farming, as Nightmare Dungeons may very well become the staple farm option moving forward. These changes should go live around the launch of Season 1. Based off the reaction on social media, players seem to be happy about the changes. One user noted on Reddit that the overall changes to both dungeons and teleports will be a positive change. The individual stated, “The teleporting makes sense and is a boon for over world gameplay and dungeon runners a like.” Another player said, “Thank god for that. Getting super bored of travelling to these places with the clunky horse, the annoying barricades, sometimes odd GPS pathing and having to dismount all the time to jump across cliffs or climb.” It’s important to note that Nightmare Dungeons have a number of unique characteristics. Among those are that each operates on Nightmare difficulty and include extra Objectives.

  • Diablo 4 players refuse to buy expansion for an “unfinished” game – Dexerto

Diablo 4 players refuse to buy expansion for an “unfinished” game Blizzard EntertainmentFollowing the Vessel of Hatred expansion’s announcement, Diablo 4 players aren’t too thrilled with the idea of an expansion given the state of the game. In the sea of all the games launched this year, Diablo 4’s arrival was a rather strange one. Diablo’s arrival was met with rave reviews, yet as soon as player completed their runs, the fires of Blizzard’s return died out in seconds. Player concerns were through the roof, with endgame issues and itemization just a few of the myriad of issues. These issues have gradually seen fixes since the game launched, but it’s been a long battle, as there’s still much room for improvement. 2024 will bring a new expansion, Vessel of Hatred, to the table. However, some fans aren’t as excited as Blizzard would hope for. Diablo 4 players split on Vessel of Hatred’s announcement Since Diablo 4 arrived, the maligned title has been through two seasons of content. The first season received harsh feedback, as it failed to improve the endgame concerns or address quality of life changes. Dubbed “filler content” by fans on the forums, the future was looking bleak. Diablo’s second season, Season of Blood, seemingly flipped the script. Dungeon reworks, mount movement, and Sorceror buffs, along with other quality-of-life changes, gave the game a much-needed infusion of life. Dare say, fan sentiment has even turned to hopeful for the future of Diablo 4. Yet when the announcement of the expansion came at BlizzCon, it split the fanbase. Many were excited, while others still held on to their disdain of the “unfinished title” in a series of replies to the trailer on the game’s official Reddit. Many were quick to point out the expansion launches in 2024, so there will be plenty of time for changes to come. While that’s true, others combatted the state of the game should’ve been where it’s at now upon launch. One player shared: “Current Diablo 4 mid-late game is hardly worth playing still and here we are with Blizzard already teasing the next expansion… Diablo is the new CoD.” Call of Duty has faced its fair share of criticisms, eerily identical to Diablo. “Hope it’s free considering how little I got from my purchase so far,” commented another. We’re still a ways off before Vessel of Hatred arrives, and it’ll be interesting to see how Blizzard builds upon Diablo 4. Stay tuned, as the battle rages on.

  • Diablo 4 players “really hopeful” for the future of the game despite rough Season 2 launch – Dexerto

Diablo 4 players “really hopeful” for the future of the game despite rough Season 2 launch Blizzard EntertainmentDespite a delayed start, and plenty of questionable moments, Season 2 of Diablo 4 has fans excited for the future of the maligned title. It’s safe to say Diablo 4‘s second season, Season of Blood, had a lot of pressure on its shoulders. Despite a stellar launch, the game suffered from a lackluster endgame and a first season of content dubbed “filler content.” As Blizzard Entertainment revealed the next steps for Season 2, fan hype rapidly increased, with good quality-of-life changes headed to the game. However, that excitement stalled as the Season 2 trailer revealed incorrect numbers and battle pass rewards drew player ire. Despite mixed wavered hype levels, Season 2 is here, and initial fan reactions have been positive. Some fans are even hopeful for the future of Diablo 4. Diablo 4 fans share positive initial impressions for Season of Blood As mentioned, Season 2 was headlined by good quality-of-life changes, with player mounts buffed, dungeon layouts reworked, and XP gains tinkered with. Another change included a massive buff to the Sorcerer class, although some fans wanted a larger buff. There’s also the introduction of Vampire powers, as players team up with a vampire hunter in Season 2. Needless to say, there’s a lot to chew in Season of Blood. Despite the delayed launch of Season 2, player reactions have come in, and they are positive so far. “Besides the bugs (which I’m sure are gonna be fixed soon) season 2 has done nothing but made me wanna play even more. I’m really hopeful for the future of Diablo 4.” One player left a glowing review, “10/10 patch. Everything about season 2 feels great. I wasn’t expecting it to be this good.” Plenty shared this excitement, as buffs to the Tree of Whispers combined with the Blood Harvest dish out insane rewards. The previously mentioned Sorcerer buff was a point of conversation amongst a few players. One player stated “the only thing I’m still unhappy about is the state of sorc,” as many wished the buffs were much larger. All in all, the initial reactions are positive and has fans hopeful for the future. It’ll be interesting to see how Blizzard rides this momentum, but for now, the small victories are what counts.

  • Diablo 4 players question why Uber Unique items exist – Dexerto

Diablo 4 players question why Uber Unique items exist Blizzard EntertainmentAn intense debate has sparked in the Diablo 4 gaming community after one player’s provocative question: “Why are Uber Uniques even in the game?” Uber Unique items, staggeringly rare items with a mighty 820 item power, are so scarcely found in the game that the introduction of just one in Season 1 prompted outrage. These elusive items include treasures like Andariel’s Visage, Doombringer, Harlequin Crest, Melted Heart of Selig, Ring of Starless Skies, and The Grandfather. The Diablo 4 community is no stranger to controversy. This time, the players are questioning the very purpose and role of these Uber Unique items in the game, leading to a lively debate. “Is it that some players won’t realize how rare these items are, and will essentially spend eternity chasing them, therefore increasing engagement and therefore increasing cash shop engagement?” “The items are not meant to ever be found or used or even sold. They are just legends that are supposed to keep you playing forever,” a Reddit user by the name of ‘GeeGeeGeeGeeBaBaBaB’ stated. The conversation about these ultra-rare items has drawn a range of responses. Some players argue that the Uber Unique items have no significant effect on their gameplay, while others question their existence if they do not substantially influence the game. Amid this discussion, there have been calls for a more equitable adjustment of these items. “These should be the pinnacle grind item. That’s fine, but at this point, they’re not even worth caring about,” said one Diablo 4 player. Some players even offered a psychological take, suggesting that Uber Unique items serve as a form of anchoring and priming, shaping the perceived value of these items. This could, in turn, generate anticipation for future content where these items might become more accessible. In the first campfire chat, Blizzard’s Joe Piepiora confirmed the studio’s philosophy about Uber Unique items. The intention is for these items to serve as spikes in power, making the drop rates akin to a lottery. However, they noted that drop rates may increase in the future. As Diablo 4 continues to expand and evolve, the game’s designers are coming under increasing scrutiny for their handling of item rarity.

  • Diablo 4 players praise Season 4 as “tremendous success” that revived the game – Dexerto

Diablo 4 players praise Season 4 as “tremendous success” that revived the game Blizzard EntertainmentDiablo 4 Season 4 is coming to an end on August 6, and players are looking back at what it brought to the table. Happily, much of the feedback has proved positive, with many claiming that it’s the best the game has been to date. It’s difficult to deny that Diablo 4 had a tough launch. Despite widespread critical acclaim in the first instance, prescriptive endgame builds, itemization issues and difficulties with balancing drew significant criticism from the community. Since then, the seasonal model has been steadily improving things, and Season 4 has done more than most to improve the mood around the game. Now, players have taken to social media to express their positive feelings towards Diablo 4. In a post on Reddit, one player asked the community for their opinions on the season. Others were quick to agree, with one saying, “As for the season itself, I haven’t leveled a seasonal character since the first one, and I stopped when I got into tier 4 and was having survivability issues. I rolled a Necro about halfway through the season and had a f***ing BLAST.” Another added, “New player in mid-late S4. Mainly, I’ve been surprised by what a fantastic social game this is compared to any other I’ve played, regularly chatting with randoms and meeting some interesting people. “It was really cool to initially meet people helping me, the bumbling fool, out, then a few weeks later be able to carry random people who just started playing and wanted tips and help. Best part of the game.” A third shared how this is the first season of Diablo 4 where they haven’t stopped playing, saying, “I loved it. I played each session to varying degrees but eventually got tired of it, never getting a character too far into the late game before (maybe Level 80). I’m about to bring my third different class to Level 100 now and have really enjoyed it.” With Diablo 4’s next DLC Vessel of Hatred taking players to the jungles of Kurast, the fun is only just getting started. Mephisto is set to serve as the main antagonist as the Prime Evil attempts to lay out his nefarious plans once again. Season 5 is also set to launch on August 6, bringing a whole host of new challenges for players.

  • Diablo 4 players praise patch 1.0.3 for addressing community feedback – Dexerto

Diablo 4 players praise patch 1.0.3 for addressing community feedback BlizzardDiablo 4 players are praising Blizzard developers for listening to community feedback and addressing hot-button issues in the game’s latest patch. Following the controversy surrounding Diablo Immortal, Blizzard had quite a hill to climb with Diablo 4 when it came to goodwill with the community. While there were still many diehard fans of the series looking forward to the title, there were other players who were skeptical going in. And, though Diablo 4 has had a fair few issues that have been called out by players, the reception for the much-anticipated title has been overwhelmingly positive. What’s more, players have been impressed by the latest Diablo 4 patch, 1.0.3. Nightmare Dungeon buffs were well-received when they were announced, and players are happy with how those buffs were implemented, as well as some other major quality-of-life changes. Diablo 4 players give overwhelming praise for patch 1.0.3 When it comes to a live service game like Diablo 4, addressing community feedback is essential. With dedicated players already well into the end-game grind, making that end-game feel rewarding and worthwhile is incredibly important when it comes to keeping players invested in the long run. With Season 1 approaching and players having to make new characters to participate, getting quality-of-life changes to the game was an important topic. For those having to run through the game again on a fresh character, they wanted a smoother experience across the board. This patch has been received positively by players, with people going out of their way to praise the developers on social media. The patch included dozens of fixes to players not getting rewards, bosses not properly triggering when entering an area, game crashes and other obtrusive bugs, as well as buffs to certain end-game activities like Nightmare Dungeons that made players feel more rewarded for completing the game’s most difficult challenges. Replies on Twitter and comments on Reddit called this patch an “all around W” that’s a strong step in the right direction for the game. While there are still problems that players want addressed, they also have faith that the devs will follow through due to how quickly these pain points were fixed. “Thank you for making nightmare dungeons not suck so bad”, replied one user on Twitter. Redditors were a bit more critical, with Sorcerer players in particular disappointed about the lack of balance changes for their class. “Sorcerer ‘buff’ was anything but a W. Everything else is pretty good.” commented one user. With Sorcerers being Diablo 4’s most popular class, it’s no surprise that there are many players commenting on the class’ balance. However, with so many people sharing the same opinion, it remains to be seen whether the class gets balance adjustments before Season 1 arrives. All that said, many who voiced that they wanted more changes were happy with the progress made in the patch, and it’s being received as a massive step in the right direction. With Season 1 on the horizon, Diablo 4 has laid the foundation for what could be a live service game that keeps players engaged for years to come.

  • Diablo 4 players praise new content as the very “best” so far – Dexerto

Diablo 4 players praise new content as the very “best” so far Blizzard EntertainmentThere was a big onus on Diablo 4 to deliver new features and make it a worthwhile entry in Blizzard’s storied RPG franchise. The community believes this has been accomplished with one gameplay feature taking the lion’s share of the plaudits. A lot of new content has been introduced in Diablo 4. Mounts are one of the most obvious travel alterations in the world of Sanctuary. From a Season One perspective, Malignant Hearts have also had a bearing on the title’s core elements – here’s every Cage Heart ranked for you by the way. Diablo 4 players are actually fairly unanimous in what’s actually turned out to be the best new feature. Users think they’ve outed the standout addition and have welcomed it with open arms. Whereas players have been begging for Diablo 3 features, it shows how strong of an impact some of the new mechanics have had. New content is really “goddamn fun” in Diablo 4 A user in the Diablo 4 subreddit by the name of Extension-Cold4745 declared to the whole community that “Strongholds are the best content.” They provided their justification: “For me, I enjoy these more than anything else, make them repayable with a scalable difficulty, a great loot pool, and an lfg. This would make it a nice group activity with the lfg or to complete with clan members, the difficulty should be able to scale infinitely with the chance to drop Uber Uniques, etc at very high difficulties mostly only completable in groups of 4 Level 85 players+.” It’s one of those rare features that has virtually no opposition either. “I don’t disagree, Strongholds are really goddamn fun. They aren’t all completely equal, but some of them like Nostrava I look forward to every time I make a character,” said one commenter. Whereas another user even added: “Super fun and they change the map for your character. Mostly unique gameplay and they have an impact. Blizzard take note that we like this!” It should be said that players do think they are better in groups, but that then leads to the community’s perception of how “lonely” Diablo 4 feels at times. While Diablo games have experimented with similar mechanics in the past, Strongholds really give Diablo 4 an edge, especially during multiplayer encounters, where heroes can team up to help each other turn the tide and defeat the powerful Stronghold boss. Nevertheless, Strongholds have clearly captured the hearts and minds of Diablo 4 players. We’ll have to see what else Blizzard has in store, especially as we move into Diablo 4 Season 2.

  • Diablo 4 players praise Campfire Chats for transparency from devs – Dexerto

Diablo 4 players praise Campfire Chats for transparency from devs Diablo 4Diablo 4 players left a trail of Adam Fletcher appreciation posts after the Diablo 4 Campfire Chat stream went live. Diablo 4 Season One has been under fire lately for several imbalanced mechanics, seemingly unfair affixes, and class changes that apparently left Sorcerers feeling defeated. The July 2023 Diablo 4 Campfire Chat finally addressed several issues players found, and some fans have decided to thank those involved for their hard work and listening skills. Campfire Chats said to be a “Huge Positive” One Reddit user took to the platform to discuss how some dev chats can be highly scripted with “awkward side chatter” thrown in to break up their bulleted patch notes. The user mentioned that this Campfire Chat felt genuine and less corporate than other developer Q&A sessions. Rather than picking questions unrelated to the topics at hand, the Reddit user stated it seemed they chose meaningful questions. They also gave fully transparent non-scripted answers to players and fans alike. One commenter wrote, “What I appreciate besides the usual communication, is that even when they s**t the bed, they can explain exactly why, and what went wrong. Like the 5 sec teleport example. Even when they make a very unpopular nerf or something, them telling us the numbers that lead them to that conclusion helps a lot.” One point in the comments was why developers, especially those involved with Diablo 4 and Blizzard, may be weary of being fully transparent. The remark reads, “Seeing this community though, I can now understand why devs don’t want to be transparent.” While it may be true that some developers may refrain from being open and honest about quirks and bugs, fans on this thread agree that the transparency and a clear path to a better game being laid out on the table is a step in the right direction for Diablo 4.

  • Diablo 4 players praise Blizzard over “amazing” Loot Reborn update – Dexerto

Diablo 4 players praise Blizzard over “amazing” Loot Reborn update Blizzard EntertainmentFan reception to Season 4 of Diablo 4 has been overwhelmingly positive, with some fans even claiming this season is the “real Diablo 4”. Seasons have been a mixed bag for Diablo 4 since the game launched in June 2023. Many long-time Diablo players were disheartened to learn that Diablo 4’s seasons were similar to Diablo 3’s, while new players were shocked by the requirement of starting a new character every season. While Season 2’s Vampiric Powers and a new exciting questline that essentially turned the Nephalem into Marvel’s Blade helped players warm up to Diablo 4’s seasonal content, the third season failed to keep this momentum going. Season 4 of Diablo 4 has taken a very different approach, rather than being a side story involving vampires or killer constructs, the fourth season instead focuses on core gameplay elements, living up to its promise of “Loot Reborn.” So far, the Diablo 4 community is loving it. One Reddit user went as far as stating that Diablo 4 Season 4 is a real Diablo game, implying it hadn’t been previously. They said: “Blizz please lean into this forever – we finally have a real D4 game!” Another user echoed these sentiments, posting “This is the state of the game it should have been at day one.” They went on to say: “Absolutely addicted. Absurd amount of fun. Things feel balanced and equal. Nothing else to say, but good work, Blizzard.” Other users were quick to point out that community feedback is also responsible for Diablo 4’s improvements, saying: “This is because of the community feedback and the adaptions that were made. They fixed a lot of issues and listened to a lot of steps the entire year.” However, other players weren’t convinced and argued not much has changed, saying: “I remember seeing posts like these two days after Diablo 4 launched too. You guys never learn, at least get through the honeymoon phase.” While some were more balanced, arguing that Season 4 is a step in the right direction, but doesn’t fix everything with one saying: “I agree with you in theory but the building is still extremely shallow.”

  • Diablo 4 players plead with devs to fix “ridiculous” Uniques issue – Dexerto

Diablo 4 players plead with devs to fix “ridiculous” Uniques issue Blizzard EntertainmentDiablo 4 presents players with Unique items which are very scarce and notoriously difficult to come across. Some are more special than others, but players in possession of them feel they’re missing one obvious quality to improve their aura. Throughout the course of Diablo 4, one of the core gameplay loops is looting: Killing monsters, finding treasure, and equipping new gear. Legendaries are the goal for most players as they represent some of the most powerful gear in the game – along with Uniques. Even more sacred and sought-after, Uniques are the final level above Legendaries, and coming across one is a rarity, to say the least. Many Diablo 4 players have still been able to obtain such luxuries, though the community is unhappy with one key aspect of them. Diablo 4 Uniques are “hard to see” “Why are Uniques so uniquely hard to see?” asked Diablo 4 subreddit user Ozryela. To expand on their point even further, they showed a picture highlighting the lack of clarity between a normal Legendary and a Unique item. The only significant difference between the Unique garment and traditional Legendaries is the slightly more refined and artistic border, along with a twinge in the background color. The OP gave their justification for needing changes: “Finished a dungeon, teleported to town, looked at my inventory, thought “Huh, I swear I saw a Unique drop”. Went back, looked for it for a while, looked at my inventory again, finally managed to find it. C’mon Blizzard. Make those Uniques stand out more! This is ridiculous!” One Diablo 4 Reddit user said: “Yeah, I really don’t get the flavors of orange/orange-y peach/yellow. Is that supposed to be part of the challenge making you struggle more to see them quickly? Why not like green, blue, red…Or any colors that are farther apart?” Another fellow player added: “Bad UX, unfortunately. Blizzard needs to hire some better UX Designers.” The Diablo 4 community is a vocal one. The devs have shown that they do listen, and players have had nothing but praise for Blizzard following the 1.0.3 update that alleviated many of the game’s headaches.

  • Diablo 4 players plead for roadmap as Season 1 content dries up – Dexerto

Diablo 4 players plead for roadmap as Season 1 content dries up BlizzardDiablo 4 players have pleaded for a roadmap from developer Blizzard so that the community can have a better idea of what’s coming in the near future as opposed to sitting and waiting. Blizzard’s ARPG Diablo 4 found monumental success upon its launch earlier this year. The continuation of the franchise broke records for the company and made over $666 million in just the first week of its launch. It’s been some time since the game’s original release and we’re currently in Season 1 of the ARPG. Season of the Malignant has given players a bunch of new content to progress through, including a battle pass that requires a seasonal character. However, with the content in Season 1 drying up and players fleeing in droves, it’s prompting the community to ask the developers for a hint at what’s to come. Diablo 4 players request a roadmap from developers Reddit user Deidarac5 requested that the developers bring forth a roadmap or at least some idea of plans for Diablo 4’s future amid the current drought. “I feel like a lot of live service games have a roadmap. It would be nice to at least know what they are planning so we don’t just sit and wait,” the post reads. Many other live service games usually give just that to enlighten players on what the developers are planning, which helps build hype and trust with the community. Whilst Deidarac is happy with the devs announcing what they are planning on fixing, they’d like to see what plans they have on the content side as well, and dozens of players echoed the sentiment. “We know things like what they are planning of fixing, but it would be nice to know what they want to accomplish this year instead of “wait and see” with everything asked by the community.” Other users agreed by stating that the current content in Season 1 isn’t enough to hold them over until the next big content drop, wanting to know what the plans are in the interim. Another user theorized a potential internal roadmap the developers have, this roadmap’s contents will only release based on player numbers. That means when the player base gets too low, the devs can drop a bunch of content to bring players back. The future of Diablo 4 is definitely uncertain, with such a fantastic launch, Blizzard will need to put their best foot forward to maintain the player base it managed to garner.

  • Diablo 4: How to pet the dog – Dexerto

Diablo 4: How to pet the dog Blizzard EntertainmentTo the delight of many Diablo 4 players, you can indeed pet the dog. This simple act can put a smile on your face, kind of, and we’ll show you how to show a pooch some love. Petting dogs, or cats, has become a fan-favorite mechanic in many games. And while several dogs roam Sanctuary’s safe havens in Diablo 4, it’s not blatantly apparent that players can interact with them in the game. Simply walking up to the canines and exploring the likes of Kyovashad yields no button prompt. Using the game’s dedicated interact button doesn’t help, either. But fear not, we are here to help as it turns out there is actually a way to kneel down and give a dog your full attention. While it’s a nice little feature, we’ll explain how you can do this, but why you should maybe refrain from doing so too. How to pet the dog in Diablo 4 Diablo 4 users can simply walk up to a dog, open the options menu, hit the “Hello” emote, then watch as their character bends down and greets the four-legged creature. Sadly, this heart-warming sentiment quickly takes a turn to the dark side. After petting the dog, it will subsequently leave the town with the player and unwittingly follow along – even into battle. It’s then 99.99% certain that the dog will die in combat being by your side. So you’ll have to decide if the opportunity to pet the dog is worth the poor animal’s life. We’ll leave it up to your conscience to decide how to approach dogs in Diablo 4. • Diablo 4 players outraged with “predatory” Season 1 Battle Pass – Dexerto

Diablo 4 players outraged with “predatory” Season 1 Battle Pass Blizzard EntertainmentAfter already coming under fire, the Diablo 4 Season 1 Battle Pass is in hot water with the community once more after a shocking revelation was discovered about the seasonal system. It was a long time coming, but Season 1 of Diablo 4 is well and truly in motion. It arrives with a ginormous patch that Blizzard themselves have said will “never again” happen due to the public outcry to the nerfs it introduced. Another heated topic has been the nature of the Season 1 Battle Pass. Adhering to the typical, standard live service structure, the feature allows D4 users to pay real money to acquire a season-long pass filled with cosmetics and rewards to earn. However, it’s not only been described as having a “malicious design” due to its nature, but it’s now being labeled as “predatory” too. Diablo 4 Season 1 Battle Pass coins are “scummy” In the words of Diablo 4 Reddit user jessewperez1: “Why 666 coins in the Battle Pass was mathematically the scummiest amount Blizzard could have given.” Their statement was backed up by a detailed explanation and breakdown of why Blizzard’s decision-making process behind this extends far beyond the novelty of the pass offering 666 coins. “So we already know that no item in the shop costs 666 coins so you can’t even buy anything with the coins from the pass. But did you know this gets even worse? With a price of 1000 coins per Battle Pass, getting 666 coins means that on your second pass, you’ll have 1332 coins. Great you can get a pass and have 332 coins left over. However, on the Season 3 pass, getting 666 coins means you will have 998 coins. That’s exactly 2 short of getting another Battle Pass and no doubt this is intentional.” The OP explained that they would really “love [it] if someone from Blizzard actually discussed the Battle Pass and their predatory mechanics at any of these fireside chats.” One of the top comments offered a simple solution that was roundly upvoted by other D4 users: “Easy fix: Don’t buy any Battle Passes?! You’re welcome.” Whether the community opts to forego Battle Passes following this realization is up to each user. But changes are being made, highlighted by the controversial “Nightmare Dungeon difficulty spike” being swiftly resolved.

  • Diablo 4 players outraged by Season 1 Malignant Hearts inventory issue – Dexerto

Diablo 4 players outraged by Season 1 Malignant Hearts inventory issue Blizzard EntertainmentDiablo 4 Season 1 players are calling for changes to Malignant Hearts, which have exasperated the game’s limited inventory space. The Diablo 4 Season 1 patch has gotten off to a shaky start. Not only have the subsequent class nerfs caused a lot of outrage amongst the community, but the lengthy queue times and lack of end-game content have also led to players’ review bombing Diablo 4. To make matters even worse, the addition of Malignant Hearts has seemingly made Diablo 4’s inventory space problem even worse. This is incredibly frustrating for any adventurer who wishes to collect the game’s latest loot without having to constantly clear out their items. Diablo 4 Malignant Hearts cause further inventory woes Following the Diablo 4 Season 1 patch, players can use a new item called the Cage of Unbinding. This item is used on Malignant Hearts, an item that is dropped by Malignant Monsters – multi-stage encounters that are much tougher than regular enemies. Unfortunately, players have discovered that these fleshy rewards have a similar problem to Gems, in that they take up a lot of inventory space. “I honestly thought that Malignant Hearts were replacing Gems for the whole season,” said one player. “I thought there was no way after we complained about Gems taking up too much space that they would have both. I was an idiot.” There are 32 different types of Malignant Hearts, each with a different Malignant Power. If that wasn’t enough, Malignant Hearts will also become more powerful if you obtain them from higher-level enemies and in higher World-Tiers. So, like Gems, these items can have a rather big impact on your character’s build. However, as you can imagine, farming them and searching for the best Malignant Powers for your class can quickly chew through your inventory space. “Before the season started I had three mules and three characters I played. That means I have four character slots left for this league,” one player commented. “Gonna be tight… they added neither slots nor chest space.” Whether Blizzard will make adjustments to Malignant Hearts remains to be determined, but for now, you may want to be a little more picky when it comes to hoovering up these new Season 1 items. • Diablo 4 players mourn removal of Metamorphosis ability as Season 3 kicks off – Dexerto

Diablo 4 players mourn removal of Metamorphosis ability as Season 3 kicks off Blizzard EntertainmentDiablo 4 players are grieving the loss of a Season 2 feature which many players felt made the Necromancer and Druid classes, more viable. Diablo 4 has had some crazy meta over the past two seasons since its launch. Each season has brought with it creative, new ways for players to try and make the most game-breaking, damage-dealing builds they possibly can. There was the ball lightning meta, and the twisting blades meta. But there was one Season 2 ability in the main meta which made life easier for Druid and Necromancer builds. So, it’s not surprising that a good number of players aren’t happy to see it gone from the meta now that Season 3 has arrived. Metamorphosis, which let players transform into a cloud of bats, was one of the game’s Vampiric Powers. These abilities launched with Diablo 4 Season of Blood. The thing that made Metamorphosis such a hit with Druid and Necromancer players was the enhanced mobility it provided these classes. In fact, players have been worried about the loss of Metamorphosis since last year. The loss of Metamorphosis hurts the Necromancer class especially, which used it previously as a way to easily lower their cooldowns or proc skills, like their Lidless Wall. “Was such a great skill…. I didn’t even have BiS and it was still real nice.” One player lamented. “This would be a good “talent” they could add to the necro skill tree as it fits most in line with his character,” said another. “Let’s hope for a new ring, aspect, or something similar to bring it back in some shape or form,” a third user chimed in. Now that blood is out and bolts are in, it remains to be seen how Necromancers and Druids will fare throughout Season of the Construct.

  • Diablo 4 player’s mom stomps high-level boss and fans love her for it – Dexerto

Diablo 4 player’s mom stomps high-level boss and fans love her for it Blizzard EntertainmentA Diablo 4 player’s mom has literally beaten them at their own game after slaying a boss 11 levels higher than her character. Fans of the game have rallied around ‘Diablo Mom’. Diablo 4 is in the throes of its third major content update. Season of the Construct has been a tad divisive with the pendulum of player support swinging back and forth rapidly. There was ill feeling during the launch of Diablo 4 Season 3 as players felt it failed to live up to its predecessor. One update later and fans couldn’t get enough of the game, that is until familiar complaints about Diablo 4’s loot resurfaced. Fortunately, in the midst of this back-and-forth reception, Reddit user u/Diotrephes1_Live has given us something to galvanize players. They detailed an impressive moment from their mom who ousted a Diablo 4 boss despite vastly outleveling her. In a heartwarming moment of pride, u/Diotrephes1_Live regaled Diablo 4 fans with the tale of how their mom clapped a level 70 Elias with their Level 59 character. In World Tier 3 no less. u/Diotrephes1_Live’s 62-year-old mother is apparently a lifelong Diablo fan who has been slaying demons since the franchise’s first installment. The Diablo 4 community is here for her success and has lovingly bestowed her with the title ‘Diablo Mom’. Admittedly, it lacks a little creativity but we’d be stoked to get a nickname. Players in the comments of u/Diotrephes1_Live have rushed to congratulate Diablo Mom and praise her “gamer skillz”. “Bros mother is better than all my friends,” one Diablo 4 fan admitted, only half-joking. “Congrats Diotrephes1_Live’s mom! I don’t think I could do that!” another player said. Honestly, we don’t know if we could either. Like Skyrim Grandma before her, Diablo Mom looks set to go down in the annals of gaming legend. At least in the Diablo 4 space. We’re still waiting on an exact build but we know she pulled off the Elias kill with a Barbarian. Truly a woman of culture.

  • Diablo 4 players mock Blizzard’s quality control as Season 2 items appear in Season 3 – Dexerto

Diablo 4 players mock Blizzard’s quality control as Season 2 items appear in Season 3 BlizzardDiablo 4 players aren’t happy with Blizzard devs after discovering old items from Season 2 which should have been removed are dropping as rewards in Season 3. Diablo 4’s second season, Season of Blood, received plenty of praise from players for its refreshed leveling mechanics better pacing, and interesting new abilities in the season’s unique Vampire Powers. But its latest season, Season of the Construct, hasn’t fostered quite the same sentiment as its predecessor. Players have been majorly unhappy with Season 3. There were complaints about Malphus — both the difficulty and the loot drops. Plus, an almost universal dislike for the new trap rooms, with many dubbing them “terrible”. While Blizzard did release a patch to try and address some of the issues, another bug has been spotted causing a mix of amusement and frustration for players. A thread on Reddit has shown a Season 2 items, which should have been removed at S3’s release, dropping as a reward for a player in a Season 3 helltide. “Season 3 is so bad that Blizzard wants to roll back to Season 2,” the thread’s title joked, captioning a screenshot of a loot drop of a Pact of Ferocity. One of Season 2’s consumable rewards. “Had this drop from a boss during helltide,” the OP explained in the comments. The response to the discovery ranged from amusement, often with a touch of black humor in the light of Blizzard’s recent layoffs, to frustration. “Does quality control exist at Blizzard?” One user asked, prompting someone to respond with: “They just laid them all off.” “Blizzard needs to roll back the whole company to 2008,” another joked. But some players were more bothered by the oversight on the part of the devs. “From bad to worse. Regardless of any actual fixes, this just further demonstrates the sheer incompetence of the devs,” posted one user. “Just refund us at this point, complete irredeemable s–t show,” agreed another. With many fans hoping for something as fresh and invigorating as Season of Blood, it seems like Season 3 isn’t quite living up to expectations.

  • Diablo 4 players make history with world’s first Tier-100 Nightmare Dungeon clear on Hardcore – Dexerto

Diablo 4 players make history with world’s first Tier-100 Nightmare Dungeon clear on Hardcore Blizzard EntertainmentAfter the recent announcement from Blizzard that 1,000 players had reached level 100 on Diablo 4’s Hardcore mode, many thought there were no more mountains to climb in the title. We were wrong. Two players have become the first to complete one of the game’s hardest challenges under the game’s harshest restriction. For the uninitiated, Diablo 4’s Hardcore mode is a permadeath challenge meaning that if your character dies, they’re completely wiped from existence. No resets, no do-overs. The investment and challenge involved are so great that Blizzard even chose to immortalize the first 1000 players in Diablo 4 who reached max level on the mode. After a few hiccups with the announcement and some subsequent smoothing over, these players’ Battle.net tags have been etched into a statue at Blizzard HQ. Now, shortly after, two players have completed an arguably greater challenge. Hardcore mode players AlAlon and Riise charged a Tier-100 Nightmare Dungeon with a pair of Necromancers and lived to tell the tale. AlAlon announced the feat in a tweet over the weekend with accompanying screenshots that proved their claim. Users in the comments heaped praise on the demonic duo calling the achievement “legendary”. AlAlon described the harrowing experience as “tough, but so rewarding” and thanked Adam Fletcher and the team at Blizzard for their work on the game. To even attempt the challenge, the pair would have had to run countless other Nightmare Dungeons on the game’s highest-difficulty setting. Only being able to try after farming materials to craft a Tier-100 Nightmare Sigil. The pair achieved the “legendary” run using a pair of Necromancers, at least one of which used a Bone Spear build to maximize potential crit damage. Both had a squad of skeletal minions to draw agro and buff their max Essence via Legendary Affixes. AlAlon says the dungeon took them over an hour and 40 minutes to complete and while the in-game rewards were fairly standard, “it was only about the challenge”. If you’re looking to build yourself a powerful master of the undead and attempt the gauntlet yourself, check out our Necromancer guide. They’re sure to be a popular choice in Diablo 4’s upcoming Season of the Malignant in which new mechanics promise to make builds “stupidly powerful”.

  • Diablo 4 players look forward to Season 2 despite community-wide cynicism – Dexerto

Diablo 4 players look forward to Season 2 despite community-wide cynicism Blizzard EntertainmentAhead of its arrival, Diablo 4 players gauge their hype levels for Season 2, the Season of Blood. Diablo 4 hit the scene hard and captured the souls of many, as fans loved the return to the glorious demon-slaying series. Yet, as soon as it arrived, it fell just as hard, as player disappointment mounted due to the lack of content and updates. Diablo 4 marked the change to a seasonal model, where content would be distributed over time. However, the first season fell very flat amongst the player base, as many labeled it “filler” content. Season 2, aka Season of the Blood, seems to be a return to form and has many fans excited. Unfortunately, not every player is sure this is the fix the game needs. Diablo 4 players discuss Season 2 excitement levels Over the past few weeks, Blizzard laid the foundation down as to what Season of Blood would bring. Reception has been rather split, with the quality of life changes drawing a ton of interest in some hopefuls. On the other hand, some players aren’t excited due to lackluster battle pass rewards, as the rewards appear too similar to the first season’s. There was also the strange math blunder Blizzard’s Season 2 trailer contained, which caused further confusion amongst the players. All-in-all, the commotion hasn’t taken away from the hype levels of some players. Ahead of Season of Blood’s launch, players took to the forums to gauge excitement amongst the Diablo 4 community. A Redditor shared their feelings, with a nod to the Sorcerer changes “Season 2 brings much needed quality of life changes and I can’t wait to play as the Sorcerer.” Another player replied, “I’ve been purposely not playing the past 2 weeks so I didn’t burn myself out. I’m stoked.” Despite the original poster’s and a few others’ palpable hype, not everyone was positive on Season 2’s changes. Or the lack thereof. “S1 has already killed all my passions and I have moved on to other games. Yes most of the changes of S2 are much needed changes, but they are mostly just making the game experience up to the level where it should have been since launch, aka fixing their mistakes.” one disgruntled player explained. “I just don’t see something new that can make me so excited to come back.” A few others chimed in with disappointment, as they believe that Blizzard has left core issues, such as itemization, unattended. Unfortunately for those players, no timeline on those changes have been discussed. Diablo 4 Season of Blood arrives October 17, and from there, we’ll see how the new season impacts a title whose community sentiment has so rapidly shifted since its launch.

  • Diablo 4 players killed the Earth’s population 4 times over in the “largest beta ever” – Dexerto

Diablo 4 players killed the Earth’s population 4 times over in the “largest beta ever” Blizzard EntertainmentThe Diablo 4 Open Beta has finished, but the results are in, and Blizzard have put together a fascinating round-up of stats revealing many fun facts, including the total number of Monsters slain. Aside from the predictable overloading of the Diablo 4 servers, leading to lots of frustrated users, the Diablo 4 beta seemed to pretty much go off without a hitch. Plenty of hours have been logged ahead of Diablo 4’s full release and there isn’t too much longer to wait now. To celebrate, Blizzard have released a ton of crazy stats pertaining to the beta, including the total hours logged, player deaths, and the grand total of enemies killed. Diablo 4 beta was the “largest” in Diablo history Given that the Open Beta didn’t really last all that long when you think about it, the overall stats are quite surprising – especially when you consider that over 61 million hours were notched up! We learned that Sorcerer and Necromancer were the two most-played classes and players managed to slay The Butcher over half a million times. One of the most eye-opening stats has to be the fact that Diablo 4 players managed to rack up nearly 30 billion Monster kills during the course of the Open Beta. Whether it was skeletons out in the open or tough enemies contained in the game’s dungeons, there were plenty of opportunities for players to slay Monsters, and they did just that. We also learned that the beta’s world boss – Ashava – was not to be messed with as she was responsible for over 10 million of the 46 million player deaths in total. Her kill-to-death ratio is quite something as she was only felled 100,000 times herself. This is a small handful of stats from the wider experience, and in the words of the Diablo Twitter page: “This is just the beginning.” When Diablo 4 does eventually release on June 6, 2023, expect these stats to pale in comparison to the heights these numbers will eventually reach thanks to split-screen and crossplay.

  • Diablo 4 players insist patch 1.1.0 proves how “out of touch” Blizzard is with fans – Dexerto

Diablo 4 players insist patch 1.1.0 proves how “out of touch” Blizzard is with fans Blizzard EntertainmentThe early launch of Diablo 4’s season 1 patch is live and to say some players are disappointed would be an understatement. The goodwill the development team engendered with their previous patch has seemingly all but plummeted in just hours. The Diablo 4 Subreddit is currently flooded with complaints about Season of the Malignant’s patch 1.1.0. After just minutes of scrolling it becomes apparent that every post gaining traction is maligning the developers’ decisions. Nerfs to damage types, skills, affixes, and even the time it takes to exit a dungeon are all fueling discontent. One user has even gone as far as to call this “the worst major patch ever to be released in a video game”. After a generally positive response to the previous patch 1.0.4, players are walking back previous optimism. “These patch notes are so out of touch with the game it is seriously shocking to me,” one user said. A major point of contention is how the changes in the patch negatively impact the already struggling Sorcerer class. Nerfs to the class’s core damage skills like Devouring Blaze left some Sorcerer mains incredulous. “The Sorcerer already had survivability issues, this makes it a glass cannon with a BB gun instead of a cannon,” one user said. General buffs to the game’s enemies and difficulty will impact the class on top of the Sorcerer-specific nerfs. Some users have gone as far as accusing Blizzard of artificially bloating the game to compensate for the lack of endgame content. Adjustments to Diablo 4’s Helltides specifically are causing even more irritation with the content than there was already. Fans on the Subreddit are now threatening to leave the game in droves unless the main issues they have are fixed. The primary concerns are the nerfs to Critical and Vulnerable damage types and the increased cost of Tortured Gifts in Helltides. Users on Twitter have been testing their builds with the new changes in place and reporting much more difficulty in completing Diablo 4’s endgame content. “I’m a level 90 Rogue and melted enemies on tier 55 NM dungeons. I failed a tier 48 tonight. These nerfs are pretty insane,” one user said. It should be noted that Season of the Malignant doesn’t begin in earnest until July 20 and its new additions may improve the state of the game. It’s unknown what impact the new Caged Hearts mechanic will have on Diablo 4 but developers have said they’re “stupidly powerful”.

  • Diablo 4 players in disbelief at shako drops in 1.3 billion hours of gameplay – Dexerto

Diablo 4 players in disbelief at shako drops in 1.3 billion hours of gameplay Blizzard EntertainmentUber Uniques are highly sought-after in Diablo 4 and a certain one of them is extremely rare. The Harlequin Crest, shortened to shako in the community, has only appeared a small number of times in over 1 billion hours of gameplay. Loot, loot, and more loot. This is pretty much the name of the game in Diablo 4. It’s why players spend hours grinding out Nightmare Dungeons and World Bosses in the hopes of landing super-rare items. As well as details on Season 2 and major changes coming to renown, players also learned during Opening Night Live at Gamescom 2023 that the community has spent 1.3 billion hours exploring and executing in Sanctuary. This statistic made one realization rather shocking – just how few shakos have been found. Diablo 4 Harlequin Crests are few and far between The Harlequin Crest, commonly known as a shako, is one of Diablo 4’s Uber Uniques. Incredibly rare items with minuscule drop rates. The shako might just be the rarest of the lot, according to Blizzard. Rod Fergusson revealed at Gamescom 2023 that over 1.3 billion hours of gameplay had been racked up. While this is a cool figure, Reddit user Maddstaxx declared: “Only 3 shakos have been confirmed to drop since release. Loot-based game that doesn’t drop the best loot. Blizzard somehow went above and beyond my expectations.” The Harlequin Crest is a ‘Unique Helm’ that offers skill boosts as well as many other glorious benefits. One user said “The funny thing [is], those 3 people have found it as reward of a Nightmare Dungeon, that means 0 players found it as drop,” and another user added: “On paper, those uniques being super rare sounds cool but in practice really is not. Looking back at like D2, there are a lot of uniques that are very rare to find as well. The difference being that I feel like I actually have a chance to find like Tryael’s Might and in this game I know I don’t.” Worse still, players have crunched the numbers and think the chances of a Unique Drop is “1/800,000.” Meaning, a shako drop likely goes far beyond these odds. Blizzard may one day decide to change the drop rate when the time is right. Until then, if you do love your Diablo 4 news, check out the hotfix rollback to correct a Heart of the Barber bug.

  • Diablo 4 players hyped for Spiritborn class ahead of official reveal – Dexerto

Diablo 4 players hyped for Spiritborn class ahead of official reveal Blizzard EntertainmentThe Spiritborn is a new character class coming to Diablo 4 with the Vessel of Hatred expansion and fans are going wild speculating about it. While the Spiritborn class won’t be released until October, alongside the DLC, its July 18 reveal has some players speculating about their moveset, fighting style, and similarities to the Witch Doctor class. Like the Witch Doctor, the Spiritborn hails from the jungles of Kurast. But as the summoner role is already filled by the Necromancer and Druid, the Spiritborn will likely be an entirely new animal. Longtime Diablo players suspect that the Spiritborn will borrow from the Witch Doctor on a cultural level, but may play more like the Monk class from Diablo 3 and Diablo Immortal. In a Reddit thread, one fan speculated on the class being a hybrid between the two, saying: “I’m really hoping it’s a monk/witch doctor. Melee and fast but silly animal spells.” Another agreed, saying: “Feels like a jungle monk.” In contrast, one poster suggested that the Spiritborn could be a cross between the Monk and Diablo 2’s Amazon class. They said: “I’m guessing there will be a core skill like D3 Monk’s seven-sided strike. Jaguar strikes or something like that. Then another core skill that will involve a spectral spear throw like D2 Javazon. Last, I’m thinking there will be an ult kinda like a beastmaster from wc3 with spectral beasts of the jungle.” Another suggested that the Spiritborn may be similar to the traditional Witch Doctor and might possess summoning skills like that of Diablo Immortal’s Tempest class, one where summons are plentiful but temporary. Their comment read: “I’m guessing the overall look would be summoning temporary minions that do specific abilities. Call forth the spirit of a bear to smash the ground and stun, call forth bat spirit to whisk your character away, call forth human spirit akin to berserker rage.” Finally, one player expressed more interest in the class being its own thing but lamented that many new classes in Diablo tend to be evolutions of existing classes. They said: “Yeah they’re claiming it’s all new to Diablo but I feel like it’s nigh impossible to avoid borrowing from an existing class.” With both the Witch Doctor and the Spiritborn being from Kurast, there’s bound to be some crossover, and the Monk class has also been conspicuous by its absence in Diablo 4. However, it’s worth pointing out that the Tempest and Blood Knight in Diablo Immortal were entirely new classes, with only some minor resemblance to anything that has come before. So, who knows, perhaps the Spiritborn will surprise players and establish its own identity.

  • Diablo 4 players hot under the collar for new “lewd” cosmetic – Dexerto

Diablo 4 players hot under the collar for new “lewd” cosmetic Blizzard EntertainmentDiablo 4’s new rogue cosmetic set doesn’t leave a whole lot to the imagination, but that’s not the only reason players are feeling heated. Blizzard have just dropped ‘Beauty in Sin’, a new Diablo 4 cosmetic set specific to Rogues. The variation of the set for the female body type is a detailed reproduction of the costume worn by pop artist, Halsey in the music video for Lilith (Diablo IV Anthem). The ensemble consists of a large collar-like choker, a bustier with a plunging neckline, high leg briefs, and knee high lace-up boots with matching gauntlets. Meanwhile, the masculine variation of the cosmetic offers similar accessories albeit with a chest harness and a pair of skin-tight, high waisted pants. Both are the kind of leather and hardware-leaden get-ups that really wouldn’t feel out of place at a BDSM club. Naturally, Diablo 4 players were quick to weigh in on the issue, but were left divided on the set’s content and price point. Diablo 4’s ‘Beauty in Sin’ cosmetic set prompts rough response from fans While some players remained cold to the idea of “sexy” cosmetics, others embraced the adult theming of the set or in some cases, even called for Diablo 4 to introduce nudity befitting of the game’s M rating. Another criticism that arose is around the perceived disparity of sex appeal between the female and male variations of the set. “I just don’t understand why they hesitate to go all the way in for males as they do in females,” one Reddit user complained. The core of the argument being that the despite the inclusion of a bare chest, their pants offer far more coverage than briefs or shorts. However, a far more common reaction has been anger around the pricing of the set. Coming in at 2,800 Platinum (the equivalent of approximately $25), the cosmetics bundle is being deemed overpriced by fans. One player in the Diablo 4 subreddit wrote, “I’m actually offended by this. Not because of the outfit – women can wear whatever the hell they want to, all the power to them. I’m offended by the price of this bundle for effectively what is underwear and probably should have been the default outfit of most characters”. Though as one comment pointed out, given the outlandish cost of lingerie IRL, maybe Blizzard aren’t too off the mark with that one.

  • Diablo 4 players hopeful Season 2 can turn game around – Dexerto

Diablo 4 players hopeful Season 2 can turn game around Diablo 4The Diablo community is feeling more positive about Diablo 4 Season 2 as more information regarding its contents comes to light. Diablo 4 arrived with a bang and its ominous ending left players wanting more, while they debated the key questions about the fate of various characters. However, Season 1 was a disappointment to many, with some fans mistaking it for an expansion while others simply found it lackluster. Seasons in Diablo essentially just represent a new fun way to play the existing game, giving players the opportunity to earn some nice rewards, but it’s still clear to see why many players felt frustrated by the lack of content. Diablo 4 Season of Blood Luckily, Season 2 already looks like it has a lot more meat on its bones, this time introducing some fresh content including an intriguing side story about hunting vampires and a follower who’s already well-versed in driving stakes into the undead legions. It will be interesting to see how this new wrinkle to Diablo 4’s story impacts the existing game if it all, and if the new follower can be recruited for more than just that questline. Speaking on Reddit about the upcoming season, one hopeful player said, “Ok I’ll say it and I’m ready to be crucified. Season 2 looks very promising. Call me naive, call me stupid, say I’m coping. But I am genuinely excited.” Others agreed with the sentiment, saying things like, “I actually came here to say the same, optimism rising.” Others chimed in, supporting the positive note, but many felt that the game’s core issues still need to be resolved, saying: “It looks good. They did good. I just wish there was more social features or clans got updated,” and “Everything they said was good but the problem is that the loot in the game is so boring.” Diablo 4 Season of Blood (Season 2) Battle Pass begins on October 17.

  • Diablo 4 players hope Season 5 salvages The Pit’s “boring” endgame – Dexerto

Diablo 4 players hope Season 5 salvages The Pit’s “boring” endgame Blizzard EntertainmentDespite The Pit being added to Diablo 4 in Season 4, players are already bored despite it being touted as an endgame activity that’d hold your attention for hundreds of hours. They’re already looking to Season 5 to save the endgame. According to many players who’d rather make a new character and grind than trudge through the The Pit, big changes are needed to get them back on board with their level 100 characters. Considering the Diablo series has always been focused on endgame content, the fact that some players prefer to make new characters over grinding the endgame is an issue. “I go days without logging in just to log in and quit in 30 minutes. The new car smell wore off pretty quick,” one Redditor claimed. “[The Pit] is really really boring. I got to pit 60 something and I just don’t see the point anymore. Why am I getting stronger? To keep doing pits fighting the same mobs in the same tilesets with the same mechanics?” said another. They continued, “The only thing that’s different enough are the Uber bosses but f*ck me if I’m ever getting to that point, I feel more like rolling another class than continuing the endgame grind.” One Redditor put it bluntly, “For an endgame activity, The Pit is very boring.” However, there are some who are hopeful Season 5’s offering will help out with Diablo 4’s endgame woes. “Hopefully they add more engaging content to the endgame. I personally love Helltides and do Whispers more than the pit. But the new Season 5 activity looks cool if they made it drop better loot,” said one player. But what’s actually changing in Season 5, and why are some players optimistic? First off, Whisper bounties will take “significantly less time” according to the devs, and they’re increasing the drop rate on Baneful Hearts. Unique and Mythic Uniques will be available in Whisper Caches, the Purveyor of Curiosities, and Tortured Gifts in Helltides, with a general increase to Mythic Unique drop rates outside of boss drops. Additionally, since endgame dungeons will no longer have to be replayed to fight the boss again, players can just re-summon them on the spot once they’re defeated. Though players will still have to run through The Pit for Masterworking, the path to getting a build that can make deep runs in The Pit will be much faster. Not to mention Season 5’s Infernal Hordes mode that’ll add yet another endgame grind. However, it’s also worth noting Season 5 won’t be changing the Nightmare Dungeon rotation, something that players who are already bored with the game aren’t particularly happy about. Though users remain displeased with Diablo 4’s current endgame, there’s reason for them to be optimistic for Season 5 and beyond with Vessel of Hatred on the horizon.

  • Diablo 4 players hit with bizarre Helltide bug making chests even harder to open – Dexerto

Diablo 4 players hit with bizarre Helltide bug making chests even harder to open Blizzard EntertainmentAfter a post on social media reported a significant issue with Helltides in Diablo 4, other players were quick to chime in with their own experiences. For those unaware, Helltides are region-wide events that occur randomly for around 60 minutes. Demonic enemies in those areas are significantly empowered, and their level is usually higher than the player. Taking place only in World Tier 3 or above, the quality of the rewards is increased accordingly. Additionally, players can earn cinders from defeated monsters to spend on Helltide Chests for the possibility of unique item drops. Unfortunately, the community has begun to report an issue with Helltides. In it, earning enough cinders to open those chests is a far more difficult task. A potential bug is slowing cinder drops to a crawl in Helltides In a post on Reddit, a user reported that they had begun to find packs of mobs that dropped just 1-2 cinders. Far below the average amount, at that rate, players would struggle to open just one chest before the Helltide ends. Others began to report similar issues and telltale signs of the problem. One noted the red filter of Helltides was missing, saying: “You can notice it pretty easily, when you’re in a Helltide the zone is pretty “red-ish” if it’s not, it’s bugged and barely drop any cinders.” Another reported that the fix could be pretty straightforward: “I just ported out of the area, then back in, and it fixed the drop rate. This only happened to me once though, so don’t know if that always works or not. There has also been further criticism of developer Blizzard. Specifically, players stressed the comparative time taken to fix bugs that benefit the player. One said: “Oh helltide chests dropping Uber unique by accident, we put out a hotfix in 5 mins and fix it. Oh, are cinders not dropping properly and you guys are unhappy with the grind? We will see if we can fix it before season 3.” Whether the bug will persist for long is unclear, but general management of the game has improved. Specifically, overhauls to dungeon layouts and a refreshed leveling experience have all drawn significant praise. With Diablo 4 entering a bit of a renaissance period, time will tell if Blizzard is sufficiently reactive to issues like this.

  • Diablo 4 players hit out at “dumb” crafting requirements for Uber Uniques – Dexerto

Diablo 4 players hit out at “dumb” crafting requirements for Uber Uniques BlizzardDiablo 4’s Uber Uniques are hyper-rare items that massively boost your power. That rarity has become a bit of a problem for some, particularly when the alternative crafting method is more painful than farming a rare drop. Diablo 4 is smack bang in the middle of its latest major content update, the Season of the Construct. Reception to the latest Season has been a mixed bag with many players criticizing the new mechanics. Indeed, Blizzard seems to be in hot water rather frequently where Diablo 4 is concerned. Recent dramas about the game’s microtransactions have seen them getting flak for overpriced recolors and a mount bundle that costs as much as the full game. Of course, Diablo 4 players are primarily concerned with the base content of the game and despite some improvements, Uber Uniques are still a hot-button issue. Reddit user u/Pretend_Passenger_27 voiced their concerns with the crafting requirements for Uber Unique gear and their sentiments were widely shared by the game’s community. The addition of a crafting mechanic for Uber Unique gear was intended to alleviate some of the frustration with hunting specific items. Unfortunately, in order to craft a single piece of Uber Unique gear, you need to salvage five unwanted Uber Unique items. “The problem is, I can’t even get one Uber Unique to drop. Let alone five,” one player said in response to u/Pretend_Passenger_27’s complaint. Diablo 4 fans had recently complained that acquiring rare gear in Diablo 4 is like a “full-time job”. Presently, the most consistent way to acquire Uber Uniques is by farming Duriel but that is an exercise in patience itself. The prerequisite for facing him requires hours of play and the drop rate for this sought-after gear is only 2%. “Five is too many. I’ll bet they patch it down to three pretty quickly,” said one hopeful player. u/Pretend_Passenger_27’s own solution was to have regular Unique items drop salvage material for crafting Uber Uniques which many agreed with. The prevailing sentiment is that this crafting feature is a symptom of a larger problem with itemization that players have had with Diablo 4 since its launch. Fortunately, Blizzard has said that they plan to address the game’s itemization in Diablo 4 Season 4.

  • Diablo 4 players hit out at “annoying” dismount mechanic – Dexerto

Diablo 4 players hit out at “annoying” dismount mechanic Blizzard EntertainmentDiablo 4 has a system in place where once you dismount, you are unable to summon your horse for another 10 seconds. This has led to immense frustration within the community and they are quite vocal about it. Diablo 4 is a massive game and a mount makes traversing terrain much smoother. It’s also a good way to avoid enemies on your way to a destination. Unfortunately, there are times when you hit a roadblock, will want to slay a group of monsters, or loot an area so you’ll need to dismount your horse. However, once you do, you’ll then have to wait for 10 seconds before you can use your mount again. It’s a strange mechanic and makes jumping on and off your horse in Diablo 4 feel rather cumbersome at times. Some players feel that the 10-second timer should not exist at all. Diablo 4 players feel that the mount system is terrible in this game The issue regarding this dismount feature was raised by a Reddit user named dodgamnkids. The Reddit post quickly garnered attention from a wide range of players and is currently sitting at 1.7k upvotes and 187 comments. The owner of the original post claimed that players should not be forced to run on foot for 10 seconds if they are using the dismount button on purpose. The player also feels that most of the obstacles should be covered by the horse and players should not be forced to dismount at all. This led to a vivid discussion as other players expanded on it and claimed that the mount system was frustrating. One such player claimed that the horses “feel incredibly slow when not sprinting, get stuck in packs of monsters should you run out of sprint and the sprint takes too long to cool down,” as they vented their annoyance. Another player said, “They were added to sell cosmetics and future mount options, simple as that,” while discussing the state of mounts in Diablo 4. One such player even mocked this system, saying, “My buddy’s Druid moves as fast or faster than a horse sprinting.” There were a few more angry comments as well with one player claiming, “If my horse stops dead in his tracks while running for no reason one more goddamn time, I will stab my PC.” It’s believed that the mechanic exists to stop players from spamming and abusing the sprint button endlessly, although it certainly raises some questions about the usefulness of the mount system in general.

  • Diablo 4 Vessel of Hatred looks so good that players are giving up on Season 5 – Dexerto

Diablo 4 Vessel of Hatred looks so good that players are giving up on Season 5 Blizzard/DexertoDiablo 4’s latest marketing stunt for Season 6 and Vessel of Hatred achieved a surprising feat: it convinced players to stop playing Season 5. In a two-hour campfire chat, Blizzard unveiled seismic changes for Diablo 4, including a revamped paragon system, a new level cap, and the elimination of world tiers. Much like the overhaul in Season 4, which introduced tempering, Season 6 is promising another game reboot. The hype session, designed to build excitement, instead left players feeling disillusioned with the current season, Infernal Hordes. Blizzard forums are buzzing with discontent. One player posted, “I just can’t bring myself to log in knowing that anything I find will be garbage in 4 weeks.” The player admitted that while some changes sound promising, the overwhelming sense of futility has dampened their enthusiasm. They now log in briefly every few days, only to question “what’s the point” and close the game. The sentiment isn’t isolated. A popular forum comment echoed this frustration: “This happens every season. If everything keeps changing, we essentially get a new game every three months. Too much change, too quickly just p’ses players off.” This second player compared the experience to eating a green banana every few months – unpleasantly unripe and soon replaced with another green banana. “The devs are using the player as an experimental chimp, driving them nuts in the process,” they said. Players are craving stability and a reason to invest time. The alternative, the Eternal Realm, has its fair share of issues after the legacy item changes introduced in Season 4. Eternal Realm players shared on another forum thread that the sense of achievement and progression is gone. Not to mention you’d be missing out on the seasonal questlines and stories if you stuck to Eternal. Blizzard’s ambition to shake up Diablo 4 may have alienated its base. By overhauling core mechanics all at once, the game risks losing players who are eager for fresh content but also need a stable experience.

  • Diablo 4 players have had enough of Blizzard’s “silent patches” – Dexerto

Diablo 4 players have had enough of Blizzard’s “silent patches” Blizzard EntertainmentWhile Blizzard leaves detailed patch notes for updates to Diablo 4 on the regular, they also appear to be performing silent patches that have left fans outside of the “know”. Patch 1.1.1 has officially been released, and while there were several changes implemented that fans of the Diablo franchise were excited about, there were some smaller tweaks made without a word from the developers. While it appears this is nothing new to the fans of Diablo 4, as one Reddit user claims this happened in the first big patch to hit the game, it seems like they are becoming fed up with not knowing the full extent of changes being made. Fans of Diablo 4 demand additional patch notes One would think you could simply rely on the devs alone to provide thorough and well-detailed patch notes for every bug fix and update made to a game as large as Diablo 4. Some fans seem to believe and agree that this is not the case, as they feel they have to scour Reddit in order to paint the full picture of changes made to the game. In a recent Reddit thread, one poster states, “I’m not mad that they fixed a bug, if it wasn’t working properly then sure – but to do it with no communication is so stupid.” This poster is referring to the Rogue class, which had a well-known “bug” with the Aspect of Bursting Venom. The Aspect was proccing in ways it was not intended to, such as other skills that should not cause the aspect to proc. Though this actually boosted Rogue damage, commenters claim it felt “broken,” and made fights such as Lilith less fun. Another Reddit post also refers to these silent bugfixes, stating, “Some of these undocumented changes can be an “ow nice” moment when you find it but the 2 ninja fixes to Rogue aspects should have been included in the patch notes; which were posted a week in advance.” While some commenters disagree with the original posts due to Blizzard at least fixing known bugs within the game, most seem to lean toward agreeing with the post. One comment replies “There’s something broken in their processes, they can’t even trust their own team but ask the community for trust. That’s quite not right.” Hopefully, Blizzard decides to be a bit more transparent on bug fixes and can find a solid medium for making the Diablo 4 fans happy while avoiding unnecessary backlash.

  • Diablo 4 players have genius idea for World Boss and Helltide Event problem – Dexerto

Diablo 4 players have genius idea for World Boss and Helltide Event problem BlizzardDiablo 4’s World Bosses and Helltide Events are major endgame actvities. However, players feel that they’re both being undermined by an overbearing and detrimental oversight. If you’ve put the time and effort into defeating Diablo 4’s main game, you’ll be rewarded with a ton of post-game content – including fun side quests such as the Tree of Whispers. Another area that truly comes to life is the idea of both World Bosses and Helltide Events. The former is effectively a giant raid against a titanic boss enemy. On the other hand, Helltide Events require players to take down a large number of regular enemies, all for the sake of alluring rewards. With all that being said, despite the added value of these additional activities, Diablo 4 players are currently very unhappy with the way in which they’re being presented. Diablo 4 World Bosses and Helltide Events need timers At the moment, Diablo 4 players have absolutely no way of knowing when either a World Boss or Helltide Event is going to drop in Sanctuary. Given that these are vital chunks of gameplay with beneficial rewards, players don’t feel it’s ideal. Reddit user Azzinaughty has given the devs a simple request: “Petition to put World Boss / Helltide Timers here please.” ‘Here’ being one of the town’s Notice Boards. Though, it seems that anything at all would do for Diablo 4 players: “Or even on the corner of the world map. SOMETHING. SOMEWHERE,” begged one player. Diablo 4 players are sinking tons of hours into the game, but simply feel aggrieved that they’re missing the game’s special content: “No doubt. Playing all day yesterday and have a couple of arenas discovered so the notification should pop up now but I’ve no idea when. I haven’t socketed a single thing and I’m nearly level 60 because I’ve no Uber rare boss mats,” explained one player. The World Map idea seems to be the favored consensus: “Uh no. How about on the world map so everyone can see it no matter where they are without having to go back to town?” commented another D4 user. The community seems completely united it seems. We’ve already witnessed players suggesting subtle tweaks to Diablo 4’s game design such as inventory changes for Gems, as well as the call for new classes. So, time will tell how much of this Blizzard decides to incorporate into the looter title.

  • Diablo 4 players give early verdict on Season 3: “A great step backward” – Dexerto

Diablo 4 players give early verdict on Season 3: “A great step backward” Blizzard EntertainmentDiablo 4 Season 3 is in the early stages of its launch and despite a recent uptick in player perception, this new season feels lacking to some. Diablo 4 Season of the Construct is live and there are a bunch of new mechanics and class balance changes to shake up the game. Unfortunately for the developers, these aren’t being as well received as popular additions to Season 2. The player discourse surrounding Diablo 4 Season 3 at this early stage is skewing rather negatively. In particular, players have had issues with the new Vault dungeons and their “annoying” traps. Despite the fact that Diablo 4 Season 3 is currently in its infancy, players have been delivering verdicts on social media. It’s not just the Vaults people seem to be having issues with either, one post on the Diablo 4 Subreddit called the entire season “a great step backwards”. “I played Season 2 for at least 200 hours on hardcore. The Blood Harvests were fun and had density, the rewards felt impactful,” the original poster qualified. “This season is the complete opposite and painfully unfun.” They highlighted the familiar issues with the Vaults and traps therein but also took aim at Diablo 4 Season 3’s mechanical companion The Seneschal. “ I’m not sure if my robot is doing anything while I am fighting. To put it another way, if I had no robot at all, it wouldn’t make a difference to me.” Many users in the thread seem to agree with the sentiment despite the short timeframe that Season 3 has been in circulation. Some are even opting to skip it entirely. “Played the s**t out of Season 2 and loved it for the most part,” one player explained. “Jumped on earlier to see how season 3 is and I played for about 30 minutes and logged off, I’ll wait for season 4.” It may seem a little early to give a definitive criticism of Diablo 4 Season 3 but it hasn’t stopped players from voicing their opinion on the new mechanics introduced. Season 2 is admittedly a hard act to follow after so many improvements were made to the experience.

  • Diablo 4 players furious over unannounced change to Rogue class – Dexerto

Diablo 4 players furious over unannounced change to Rogue class Blizzard EntertainmentDiablo 4’s Rogue class had an unannounced cosmetic change that disgruntled players are calling a “nerf”. Diablo 4 is in the midst of its third major content update, the aptly named Season of the Construct. As with every new season, it’s brought some major changes to the game. New mechanics including a mechanical companion known as the Seneschal and challenging new dungeons called Vaults are just some of the new additions. Those aren’t the only changes that came during Diablo 4 Season 3 however and players have only just discovered another. Initially posted to the r/D4Rogue Subreddit, players are now complaining about a cosmetic change to the Rogue class that went unannounced in the patch notes. The undergarments for the Rogue’s feminine model have been made less revealing. Diablo 4’s Rogue garnered some minor infamy last year when players began thirsting over a “lewd” set of transmogs available in the in-game store. This new change sees the Rogue’s more revealing underwear changed to what some players are calling “granny panties” came as a shock to Diablo 4 diehards. Some complaints were focused solely on the idea that players missed out on some extra skin. Others were a little more nuanced. Focusing on the hypocrisy of a change like this in a game with extreme violence and horrific imagery. “I never understand the need to make women’s outfits or, in this case, underwear more modest in a mature or violent game,” one player said. “I am saying this as a woman myself, stop freaking out about flesh when a piece of media is full of murder and other horrible acts.” Most players don’t seem concerned with the nature of the change at all. Their indignation is more at Blizzard spending time on a supposedly insignificant change when Diablo 4 has more pressing concerns in their mind. To be fair, it probably takes a lot more effort to fix the structural issues that players have with the game than it does to change an underwear model. It should also be noted the only time you’ll really see a class’s undergarments is if you aren’t using leg armor and affix slots are a pretty big trade for some almost-nudity.

  • Diablo 4 players furious as Season 1 is “dead” already – Dexerto

Diablo 4 players furious as Season 1 is “dead” already Blizzard EntertainmentEven though there was a ton of hype for it, Diablo 4 players think Season 1 is already letting the community down and have compared the content to that of a simple side quest. We are barely a week removed from the launch of Diablo 4 Season 1. In just that one week alone, players have lashed out at the “predatory” Season Pass system, and even Asmongold has signified that he’s “done” with Blizzard’s newest RPG looter. The Diablo 4 community has continued to lambast the Season 1 content since it was added. They think that there is nowhere near enough content to justify the game’s historic first season. Even though a recent update has fixed issues with the game, again, it’s the wider problem that has been outed by players. Diablo 4 Season 1 content “is a joke” One of the star additions of Diablo 4 Season 1 is the welcoming of Malignant Hearts. The new items are stacked with many different powers to experiment with. Alongside them, there are new Aspects, a new boss, and not much else. This has led to frustrated Diablo 4 user Senorragequit declaring: “The seasonal content is non-existent.” They explained: “Seriously, I got my current gear slotted and have some better hearts in my stash. Now my contact with the seasonal content is actually 0% or 0.1% if you count the very rare things you stumble upon. All in all, this season’s content feels more like a side quest than anything that “corrupted” the game world.” One top comment added: “This was obvious the moment it was revealed. Essentially classes got 3 new Aspect slots and that’s it. No other new content added. Whereas another user said: “It’s hilarious that they added a new boss and bragged about it and literally the only reason to ever kill it is to farm a few 800 power sacred items for an alt, rofl.” Another D4 player summed up the thoughts of many: “This entire seasonal content is a joke. I was expecting so much more. Boy was I wrong.” Diablo Season 1 vs Expansion DLC There may still be some confusion in the Diablo 4 community about what Seasons in Diablo games are supposed to be, especially for players who are new to the series. Seasons essentially just offer a new, themed, way to play the game with a couple of gimmicks designed to boost replayability. They aren’t supposed to be considered expansions or DLC, that content is coming, but so far no release date has been confirmed. There are many weeks to go until Diablo 4 Season 2 drops and the community will need to contend with the new content until then. However, they will need to combat strange camera bugs and game-breaking Resource Burn bugs as well.

  • Diablo 4 players furious as delay bug ruins games: “I f*cking hate it” – Dexerto

Diablo 4 players furious as delay bug ruins games: “I f*cking hate it” Blizzard EntertainmentIn a real-time game such as Diablo 4 where even the slightest mistake can result in death, it makes the ongoing button delay issue a serious problem for players – and they’re understandably frustrated. As we’ve seen in the past, a tiny bit of lag is enough to end a Hardcore run. Diablo 4 is all about precision, especially when it comes to staving off a large horde of enemies. It’s hard enough trying to create and maintain the perfect build without other variables interfering. One such factor is a common button delay bug that fans of the game are experiencing on a daily basis. The Diablo 4 community has resoundingly reaffirmed the fact that the RPG’s gameplay is being hurt by it. Not only that, but it’s ruining the entertainment for many with players unable to execute the commands they want to. Diablo 4 button delay bug is “infuriating” “I f*cking hate it and I’ve noticed this since beta on all platforms,” one furious player commented on a Diablo 4 Reddit post. The thread in question mentioned the name of the problem almost immediately – “Button Delay.” The OP explained: “Someone else posted it a little while ago, but I’m on PS5, and ever since the most recent update I’ve encountered a TON of button delay. I’m on a Sorc, and whenever I try to teleport, use frost nova or ice shards, I’ll press the button and NOTHING happens. I have to press the button 2-3 times for it to register. I thought it was my controllers at first, so I went out and bought another controller this morning and same issues.” The issue certainly seems to transcend PlayStation as the OP added: “My buddy’s on Xbox and he’s having it as well,” and one of the many comments said: “Happens to me on PC as well. I had this before the patch too.” Other PC players are in the same boat too: “This happens to be on PC constantly and it’s so infuriating. Happens on every class I’ve played,” offered another clearly exasperated user. Multiple comments all explained how the problem is constant and happening across all platforms. The recent 1.0.3 update has been praised for its positive changes. So, we’ll have to see if Blizzard addresses the button delay bug, along with complaints about Uniques.

  • Diablo 4 players furious as $100 Collector’s Box doesn’t even include game – Dexerto

Diablo 4 players furious as $100 Collector’s Box doesn’t even include game Blizzard EntertainmentFans of the Diablo franchise are outraged that the $100 Collector’s Box does not actually contain a copy of the Diablo 4 game. Blizzard unveiled the release date for the long-awaited Diablo 4 during The Game Awards 2022 show with a flashy cinematic. Capitalizing on the attention surrounding the release date trailer and the general hype generated around Diablo 4, Blizzard decided to update their official gear shop with some Diablo-themed merchandise and goodies. The “Diablo IV Limited Collector’s Box” features a candle, mousepad, cloth map from an in-game location, commemorative pin, an art book, and some fine art prints. The description also specifically states that it contains no physical game, or a code to download it digitally. This did not go over well with the community, who accused Blizzard of “milking” its player base and being generally “disrespectful” towards them. Players accuse the Collector’s Box of being “deceptive” Josh Strife Hayes posted a tweet regarding the lack of actual game in the Collector’s Box, and reactions have been overwhelmingly negative, with some even accusing Blizzard of being “deceptive” on purpose. “Most people will assume the game is included and be very very upset,” comments one of the users. “There are going to be a lot of returns and many store employees are going to get yelled at.” A full-on debate broke out discussing whether or not this merch counts as a “Collector’s Edition” of Diablo 4, since the product itself is a “Collector’s Box.” “They don’t say edition they say collectors box which feels a bit more like a bundle of merchandise from the game,” says one of the users defending the actions of Blizzard. Blizzard themselves have not yet responded to the complaints, and it’s impossible to tell for now whether they will actually address it, but players interested in the latest on Diablo 4 can follow our coverage of the game pre-release.

  • Diablo 4 players fume as 2.0 update turns rare loot into “toilet paper” – Dexerto

Diablo 4 players fume as 2.0 update turns rare loot into “toilet paper” Blizzard EntertainmentA portion of Diablo 4 players aren’t happy with the upcoming 2.0 update, which slashes their super-rare loot’s value by almost 50%. To them, the update will turn their Shakos into “toilet paper.” Blizzard announced through a Campfire Chat a series of changes that will revamp Diablo 4’s paragon and difficulty systems and introduce a fresh level cap. However, the forthcoming update aims to alter the game’s loot dynamics. The coveted Shakos loot will drop in power from 925 to 540, nearly halving its value. One forum post highlighted the issue, saying, “Our existing gear’s Item Power will be downgraded by about 50%. It’s like all the loot you’ve scavenged is now toilet paper.” Players lamented the potential loss of their hard-earned gear’s power, echoing this sentiment across the post’s comments. A player vented, “I grieve for the Sparks I spent crafting my first Mythic. This news just saved me a bunch of cash on upgrading my rig.” They criticized the update, predicting worse performance and feeling disillusioned about future improvements for Diablo 4. One user questioned the update’s logic: “I don’t understand why every item has to be reduced to 540. Why not keep it at 800 for Eternal Realm players?” Another person remarked, “I’m still going to enjoy Season 6…but damn, eternal players got wrecked.” Frustration was palpable among those who had invested time in perfecting their characters. “I’m sick of legacy items,” one player said. “Playing and progressing feels meaningless now. It’s killing the hype for new seasons.” Such frustration among Eternal Realm players isn’t new. They’ve long felt Blizzard overlooks their interests with each update, especially since Season 4. As the 2.0 update looms, players are both thrilled and worried that Diablo 4 might shift into a brand-new game experience. You can check out the new Diablo 4 content when Update 2.0 launches in October 2024, along with Vessel of Hatred.

  • Diablo 4 players frustrated as it’s missing one big social feature – Dexerto

Diablo 4 players frustrated as it’s missing one big social feature Blizzard EntertainmentDiablo 4 is a massive game and playing with others is an experience that nobody wants to miss. Unfortunately, players seem to be unhappy as it is missing a big social feature that is dampening the experience. Diablo 4 has the option to invite friends to your party or even create a clan. However, in both those cases you need to know the people in the first place to start off your journey. Unfortunately, if you are a solo player in this game and you simply want to bond with someone while traveling across the Sanctuary, that is something that is hard to come by. This has resulted in frustration among the players. They feel that finding someone unknown and joining them on the go should be naturally integrated into the system. Diablo 4 players feel that the game should have a party finder The debate regarding the lack of social features and a party finder, in particular, in Diablo 4 was raised by a user named storage-god who claimed that the game needs to have a party finder or some form of matchmaking option. This post was well received as at the time of writing it has 3.3k likes and 1.4k comments. The post-owner seems to be claiming that they are level 85 already which means they have reached the end-game. However, even now they are yet to find someone to play with since nobody ever types in the chat which makes the game feel empty. Hence, the player feels that a group finder or a party finder will be well-worth. This post received overwhelming support as one player claimed that “D4 feels terrible compared to The Division series when it comes to social stuff” while discussing the problem. Another player mentioned that “I can’t comprehend how D2 had more of a social aspect 20 years ago” where they feel that Diablo 2 was way more lively than Diablo 4. One such player took it a step further claiming that “From the company that has ran Wow for 20 years, there is literally no excuse to the approach they have taken with this”. There was also another Reddit thread similar to this by a user named Thac0 who feels that the game is very lonely. In that thread, a player mentioned that “Yeah this obviously needs a quick matchmake button” which reflects similar ideas as the other thread. • Diablo 4 players frustrated as endgame users dominating PvP in low World Tiers – Dexerto

Diablo 4 players frustrated as endgame users dominating PvP in low World Tiers Blizzard EntertainmentFor invested Diablo 4 players who’ve made their way through to the end of the game, they’re finding that the game’s current PvP is brutal and is making for “dead content.” Diablo 4’s story content is perfect for lore enthusiasts and side content is ideal for those wanting more variety in their gameplay. While PvE content is what some players are after, PvP is where it’s at for others wanting to truly test their ability. Facing off against the AI is one thing, but going toe-to-toe with real-life users is an unmistakable thrill like no other. Many players solely channel their build and efforts into maximizing their PvP performance. This is why Blizzard’s RPG looter has come under fire from fans. With many players now having finished the game or getting close, they feel PvP needs some serious changes to become competitive. Diablo 4 endgame PvP has a glaring huge oversight Reddit user DyingEyesLookAlive is asking the devs to “Please change PvP to get level 90+ players out of low WT.” If you don’t know what this means, players who are much higher levels and have completed the game a couple of times or more are being matched against lower-leveled players who are relatively inexperienced in comparison – leading to unfair matchups. They explained: “There is no reason why a level 94 should be allowed to sit in World Tier 1-2-3 PvP and run the place. It literally creates dead content on arrival. Having fun with the game, but this is a sh*t-tier oversight.” Their opinion was also backed up by several Diablo 4 users. “I’m pretty sure they explicitly said they don’t care how unfair PvP is,” added one user, and another commented that they “tried extracting about 10 times and every time someone 30+ levels higher comes and kills me, what’s the point?” Interestingly, one popular solution suggested that Diablo 4 follows in the footsteps of Elden Ring – another action game renowned for its PvP gameplay. “PvP grouping should be done the way Elden Ring does it, if you are a certain level, you automatically get places in that PvP range for any matching algorithm. So the PvP area should be agnostic to World Tier selection and just have 4-5 grouping categories.” There’s been a ton of activity where Diablo 4’s PvP is concerned, as highlighted by the game’s official first-week stats, so we’ll see if Blizzard decides to tinker with the formula moving forward.

  • Diablo 4 players instantly find “annoying” issue with the inventory – Dexerto

Diablo 4 players instantly find “annoying” issue with the inventory Blizzard EntertainmentDespite being a highly-lauded experience overall, Diablo 4 players are already in agreement over an issue with the game’s deep inventory system. The years of patiently waiting and wondering are finally over. Diablo 4 is out now, and we think it’s an absolutely riveting time to be had in the dark world of Sanctuary. Classic elements are back in the form of classes and even new concepts have been introduced like mounts. One mainstay of the series formula is its inventory. It’s not an exclusive feature for the Diablo franchise, as it’s in most games, but the inventory helps you to store items away for later use for when you maybe need healing, or when you need to sell some useless armor. Diablo 4 players seem to be enjoying the game so far, but they’re up in arms about one key aspect of the inventory mechanic. Diablo 4 inventory system is “annoying and easily fixed” Despite there being plenty of inventory slots to use, Diablo 4 players are already baffled by the fact that Gems take up slots. “Please give us a Gem pouch,” one Reddit user has asked. Here’s what the OP said on the matter: “Please Blizzard, [I’m] at Level 23 and I’m so sick of Gems taking up half my inventory slots. It’s literally the only thing I’d change right now, everything else is awesome.” Although the game hasn’t been out all that long, other players’ sentiments were the same. “Agreed. Wouldn’t be so bad if gems didn’t take up so much room in the tiny inventory space we’re given. They have a stash for consumables why can’t there be one for gems,” said one player. Another added: “How is this not patched in already? It’s so annoying and easily fixed. Better not be something it takes them a year to implement. This should have been in since day 1.” We’re still only in Diablo 4’s early access period, and it’s likely that Blizzard is monitoring user chatter to get an idea of areas to focus on moving forward. With expansions already confirmed to be in the works, it looks set to be a long road ahead for Diablo 4 fans.

  • Diablo 4 players find “really smart” inventory trick to save space – Dexerto

Diablo 4 players find “really smart” inventory trick to save space Blizzard EntertainmentDiablo 4 players and inventory space are an ongoing narrative at the moment. The lack of space has been brought up constantly, however, a new inventory space trick could be a game-changer. It’s fair to say that players have already offered Blizzard a ton of feedback regarding Diablo 4. From changing World Boss and Helltide Event mechanics to simple advice regarding the game’s servers. Users simply want to enjoy the smoothest Diablo 4 experience possible. Another area that has also been discussed is the game’s inventory. The storage system and its method of storing Gems have already been a talking point, but now, D4 fans are spreading the word on an extremely useful inventory trick that is less about the dark arts and more cunning. Diablo 4 inventory trick will free up so much space In the words of Diablo 4 Reddit user Born_Pension_8210: “Free up inventory space by throwing Gems in gear that’s being salvaged.” As we’ve already stated, Gems require their own separate slots in your inventory. But, if you add any to weapons and gear that you plan to salvage, then when the time comes to indeed salvage them at a town, you’ll get the Gems back for free to do with what you please. “That’s actually really smart,” commented one player, and another added: “This is actually genius.” On another note, Diablo 4 players were stunned to hear that salvaging will unsocket Gems for free: “Wait a minute, what?! And all this time I was unsocketing gems for a price at the jeweler’s?? Dammit,” explained one exasperated player. As time goes on, more handy tricks like this one are likely to be discovered across the lands of Sanctuary in D4. After all, these kinds of tips and tricks take way from the server discourse that is plaguing the game at the moment. So much so that Blizzard themselves have come out and publically apologized for the state of the game’s servers.

  • Diablo 4 players find perfect alternative to nerfed Sorcerer class – Dexerto

Diablo 4 players find perfect alternative to nerfed Sorcerer class Blizzard EntertainmentThe Sorcerer controversy involving various nerfs in Diablo 4 continues, but players have managed to sidestep this frustration by enjoying the Sorcerer class in an unconventional way. From Diablo 4’s launch, until Season 1 dropped, the Sorcerer class was the most popular. Everyone loved it and the devs acknowledged that it was the most-played class due to its incredible build potential. The class’s momentum hit a stumbling block though when it was hit with several nerfs, especially when it came to the class’s usefulness during the endgame. The Sorcerer class was overwhelmed with nerfs and its popularity has now dropped off somewhat. This has proved to be a sore subject as many players enjoy using Sorcerer, but its viability in the endgame has become far less potent. As a solution, the D4 community has come up with an unconventional, yet effective way, of reliving the Sorcerer glory days. Diablo 4 class replaces Sorcerer builds in Season 1 If you’re struggling to find another class you enjoy or want something to scratch that Sorcerer itch in Diablo 4, then one Reddit user has explained how their solution can help you: “I finally figured out what I was doing wrong with my Sorcerer…I wasn’t playing as a Rogue.” While not as outright magic-based as a Sorcerer, the Rogue class still utilizes ranged weapons and skills that can simulate the effects and adaptability of a Sorcerer’s long-range magic. “I figured I’d try a Rogue which is usually my least favorite class in games since I’m not a huge fan of strike then dodge gameplay which most Rogues usually end up being. Then I quickly realized I could build a knockback blaster Rogue and the game immediately became fun in the way it usually is to play as a Sorcerer,” said the OP. They also added “the game is fun again” too as a result of this. “Played as Sorc in S0, it was fun enough. Rolled as Rogue at the Season 1 start. It’s quite the difference in damage and survivability, everything is easier,” commented one user, and another added: “I did the same, Sorcerer was my first eternal, went to 65, and just got bored so I went Rogue for Season 1 and settled on a rapid-fire flurry build and suddenly the game is great again. Currently Level 68 and still loving it. It does seem like the Rogue class may work as a serviceable replacement for those in need of a Sorcerer fix. What we do know is that the devs are going to undo some of the Sorcerer nerfs due to the huge backlash. So it may not be long until the class shines and becomes number one again.

  • Diablo 4 players feel “scammed” by the lack of live-service content – Dexerto

Diablo 4 players feel “scammed” by the lack of live-service content Blizzard EntertainmentDiablo 4 developers have promised a new season every three months but players feel short-changed by the lack of any significant content in between. The absence of timed challenges or events has called into question the game’s live service designation. Diablo 4’s community and developers have had a tumultuous relationship since the game’s record-breaking launch. Poorly received nerfs, bans on trading, and accusations of “boring” gameplay loops have marred the game’s lifecycle. The game’s player and viewer counts have also been drastically declining despite being less than a month into its first season. Recent headlines surrounding the game will tell you that Diablo 4 players are less than happy with Season of the Malignant. The lack of a perceivably compelling endgame or content added after the season’s launch has prompted players on Reddit to ask “What is live service about Diablo 4?” Fans sounded off in the thread by listing grievances with how the game has been rolled out. Reddit user Selected-Rep went as far as to call Blizzard’s categorization of Diablo 4 as a live service game “false marketing”. “They don’t do any weekly activities, they haven’t added any of the other dungeons to the nightmare pool, there’s no special weekend events,” they posted. “You are doing the same thing you did last month.” Users in the thread concurred with Selected-Rep’s assessment with many feeling the game is incomplete. Speaking on the state of the game, one user even suggested “It kind of feels like a scam”. Other users highlighted Diablo 4’s need for a roadmap to restore community confidence. “Some idea of what the devs are focusing on and a content plan would go a long way,” one intoned. The more optimistic fans of Diablo 4 pointed out that the previous title launched in a similar state but was improved through DLC. Those less sold on the idea argued that having to pay for DLC to make a $70 game feel complete was “predatory”. Interestingly, the suggestion for more clarity from developers on planned content is not a new suggestion. Fans recently begged Blizzard for a Diablo 4 roadmap to ease their concerns about the future of the game. It’s unknown whether or not Blizzard plans to launch additional content during seasons in the future or not. Season of the Malignant ends on October 17 which may give them time to consider the move heading into season 2.

  • Diablo 4 players fed up with inconvenient traversal mechanic – Dexerto

Diablo 4 players fed up with inconvenient traversal mechanic Diablo 4Diablo 4 players are fuming over a traversal mechanic forcing them to dismount and manually interact with ladders, doors, and ropes. In Sanctuary, players journey across dungeons and the open world full of layered environments, meaning players can explore higher or deeper areas. Convenient mechanics like fast travel and mounts help you move faster, but certain obstacles require you to dismount, interact with them, and then remount – if the cooldown is over. The Diablo 4 subreddit erupted with complaints about this inconvenient mechanic. “Not a fan of these things,” one player wrote. “They kill my momentum. I have to dismount my steed and everything.” For each arrow seen in the map this Redditor shared, players must dismount, interact with the object – be it a ladder, rope, or door – and then remount. Needless to say, it’s not a seamless experience. Comments on the thread ranged from frustrated to sarcastic. One player griped, “The hardest enemy to deal with for a LS sorc in a lvl 100 NMD is all the goddamned doors you have to open.” Another mused, “I’d like to think the walking wall of death and destruction my character rains down would probably knock a few doors down. They must have had great construction back then.” A third player expressed their mixed feelings, saying, “I do like the depth of field they provide, I don’t like having to manually maneuver them.” Exploring a map with layers, dungeons on different floors, and climbable fields is cool and all. But having to dismount every time you want to progress is a pain. It’s especially annoying when you’ve got a time-limited buff from a Shrine and end up spending half of it fumbling around on a rope. Blizzard continues to refine Diablo 4, with the release of Season 6 and Vessel of Hatred in October promising several changes to the paragon and difficulty system. Plus, the studio has patched the game to balance loot drops after players complained about being overwhelmed by loot showers.

  • Diablo 4 players excited for Season 5’s “amazing changes” – Dexerto

Diablo 4 players excited for Season 5’s “amazing changes” Blizzard EntertainmentDiablo 4 Season 5 is around the corner and players are feeling positive about the game after Season 4 changed many aspects for the better. Seasons in Diablo 4 have been hit or miss since release, offering a new way to enjoy the game rather than adding new content. While each season does usually add a new side story to explain the theme, such as the Vampire threat or why angry robots have appeared throughout Sanctuary, this is usually all it is. Season 4’s approach was even more minimalist, the majority of that season’s changes being focused on loot and quality-of-life improvements rather than introducing a new theme. Season 5 will be unique as it will be the last before the Vessel of Hatred DLC, and the first since Diablo 4’s Loot Reborn shake-up in Season 4. The question is, will the season be lackluster like the first and third seasons? The good news is that fan excitement for Season 5 is at an all-time high, and this is not just down to hype for the DLC, but also based on Season 4 fixing many of the player’s gripes. In a Reddit thread, one fan posted about how excited they are for Season 5. Titling their thread “Amazing changes coming to Season 5”, they said: “After seeing the previews released today, it is clear that the breadth of changes and QoL being added with S5 are really impressive. I am now very, very excited for S5. That’s all I wanted to say. Great job. This game keeps getting better and better.” Another commented on the game’s progress, saying: “Each season builds on the shoulders of the last. The game is finally reaching its final form ahead of the expansion: D3 II.” In a different thread, some players reflected on Season 4, with one saying: “Awesome Season 4 rekindled my love for the whole Diablo franchise. I’m having a blast so far! With Season 5 coming up and Hearthstone’s new expansion out in a week, it’s indeed a great time to be a Blizz gamer!” They went on to say that after playing Season 4, they “went back to Diablo 2: Resurrected” to spend some time with that game. Another player commented on how Season 4 has made them appreciate older entries in the franchise, too, but that they still prefer games like Diablo 3. They said: “I’m now playing Diablo 3 Season 32 and having a blast. I can only hope Diablo 4 will be as good one day. Maybe in 10 years? As of now, Diablo 3 will remain my main ARPG.” While Vessel of Hatred will likely breathe some new life into Diablo 4, the question with the series’ seasons is often the same – how many times will players be prepared to make a new character when a new season rolls around? Although, with Diablo 3 still going strong on Season 32, we may have our answer.

  • Diablo 4 players excited as classic feature will finally arrive with DLC – Dexerto

Diablo 4 players excited as classic feature will finally arrive with DLC Blizzard Entertainment / DexertoDiablo 4 players are getting excited and nostalgic after Blizzard reveals new details about Mercenaries who’ll be added to the game in the Vessel of Hatred DLC. Followers have been part of Diablo since the very first game, but they were very basic, allowing players to summon a Golem that stalked Tristram Cathedral independently fighting demons until it was defeated. However, in Diablo 2, Blizzard added Mercenaries for hire who leveled alongside the player, could be equipped with gear, and were from different classes, such as Barbarians, Rogues, and others. In Diablo 3, Blizzard expanded this system, instead of Mercenaries we got three companions, each from a different class with separate abilities, strengths, and personalities. This time, the companions were named characters whose relationship with the protagonist (and each other) evolved as the game progressed. Once again though, the player could travel with whichever companion suited their playstyle the most. In Diablo 4, Blizzard has merged these two systems, creating a band of Mercenaries that can join the player character as hired help, but each one will be a unique character suited to a variety of playstyles. The characters all appear to know one another too, all being part of a group called the Pale Hand. After the characters were unveiled at Gamescom 2024 in a new trailer, fans are excited to hire each Mercenary and see how they complement their builds. Check out the trailer below: While it’s unknown if Mercenaries can accompany players in the base campaign, DLC story, or just endgame content in the Eternal and Seasonal realms, the trailer has built a palpable sense of nostalgia from longtime Diablo fans on Reddit. Some are hoping they’ll work like previous Mercenaries in the series with one saying, “I hope we can gear them, and I hope they have a talent tree. That would be pretty cool” and “I hope we can make them badasses with gear instead of just have them for some passive +dmg/def/cooldown reduction.” Others commented on how the Mercenaries have adopted classes that didn’t make the cut for playable characters, like the Paladin. One said, “Mercs got a Paladin before we did.” Some pointed out that some Mercenaries could be classes in their own right, saying “The shield merc could be a class all by himself lol” and “Demon boy is my favorite.” Other players were less impressed, questioning the need for Mercenaries now that the game has been out for over a year. One said, “I never understood the appeal of mercenaries. Diablo 4 was fine without them.” Another one said, “If I wanted NPCs following me around, I’d play minion necro. They better come with a very viable “sacrifice” option.” Diablo 4: Vessel of Hatred will be released on October 8, 2024.

  • Diablo 4 players enraged by $65 horse armor bundle – Dexerto

Diablo 4 players enraged by $65 horse armor bundle Blizzard EntertainmentDiablo 4 has added an armor bundle for mounts known Father’s Judgement which has sparked controversy among Diablo 4 fans for its 64.99 USD price tag. If you were hoping to drip out your lovely horse in Diablo 4, there’s a striking mount armor bundle that recently hit Tejal’s Shop. The only catch is that’ll cost you 64.99 USD. That’s right, the Diablo 4 Father’s Judgement bundle costs almost as much as the standard edition of the game itself. Cosmetic items included with this purchase are the ghostly-looking ‘Lux’ mount and the rather regal ‘Shelter of Light’s Messenger’ mount armor. Despite how battle-ready this steed may look, the disparity between the price of the bundle and what players perceive to be its value has led them to mock it, with some jokingly calling it a “macro transaction.” Diablo 4 needs to rein in its microtransactions, say fans The discussion was prompted after X user @PaulTassi posted a screenshot of the Father’s Judgement bundle, using it as an illustration of Diablo 4’s worsening microtransaction practices. Many of those in the replies expressed their disgust and disbelief at just how much Blizzard expects players to pony up for this cosmetic. Yet, as some Diablo 4 fans have pointed out, the bundle also comes with 7,800 Platinum. This is somewhat in line with the established in-game economy, as 7,800 of Diablo 4’s currency would set you back by almost $80. In this regard, the Father’s Judgement bundle technically offers an attractive discount on the in-game currency or IGC. A few Diablo 4 players argued that this particular bundle is one of the more fairly priced in the game and one criticized OP for cropping out the platinum icon in the bundle’s graphic that more clearly communicated what’s included: “I 1000% support your continued contentions re: D4’s atrocious monetization, and agree with you here, but it /is/ a bit sly to leave out the big “7800 platinum” from the top right corner.” Nonetheless, for some players, the bundle’s hefty price tag calls into question how justifiable Diablo 4’s Platinum exchange rate is in the first place. “I see microtransactions have been normalized so much that people in the comments are defending them,” commented one X user. No matter what your take is on this bougie bundle, it’s clear that Father’s Judgement has inspired a whole lot of judgment from a portion of Diablo 4 players.

  • Diablo 4 players enjoy bountiful Season 2 drop rates – Dexerto

Diablo 4 players enjoy bountiful Season 2 drop rates Blizzard EntertainmentAs Season 2 debuts, Diablo 4’s Blood Harvest event offers wanderers a real feast. Diablo 4 players will already be familiar with Helltide events: the timed surge of powerful enemies which, when defeated, can produce some seriously valuable rewards. The new Season of Blood brings forward a new kind of Diablo 4 event: the Blood Harvest, which one Reddit user has deemed “Helltides on steroids”. Beginning the thread, u/Cup-of-Noodle wrote a post titled ‘Blood Harvest has really good drop rates’: “I wouldn’t be surprised if it gets a nerf. I’m level 20 have a full gear set of legendaries from doing it for like 20-30 minutes. They drop like candy. Am I getting really lucky here or is this happening for everybody?” Turns out OP’s experience wasn’t just a fluke. Others in the thread echoed their opinion, praising the event’s mob density and item and XP drops. One user called Blood Harvests “the best thing about this season”. Diablo 4 players embrace heaps of loot granted by Season 2’s Blood Harvest Available for all players level 1 and up, Blood Harvests aren’t bogged down by the same end-game requirements as their Helltide counterparts. Even novice players can immediately get in on the sweet looting action. So, this makes Blood Harvest events a super attractive entry-point for newbies averse to grinding. By contrast, some Redditors expressed feelings that the rapid increase in high-quality loot drops upsets the balance of the game: “Honestly I have fun when experience feels grounded and good items are earned. Gaining 15 levels and 5+ legendaries within 30 minutes of starting the game feels like shit. Wouldn’t be surprised if everyone is done with the game after a week or so, just like D3”. The generous drop rates have left some anticipating a readjustment from developers. “Players are having fun,” one user joked “emergency update incoming”. It remains to be seen if this will be the case, but for now, players are enjoying the lavish spoils of battle.

  • Diablo 4 players “embarrassed” by annual expansions and Battle Passes – Dexerto

Diablo 4 players “embarrassed” by annual expansions and Battle Passes Blizzard EntertainmentAfter some mystery regarding future content, Diablo 4 annual expansions were recently confirmed by Blizzard. As a result, players have now claimed that D4 is nothing more than a cash grab. There was good news for Diablo 4 fans recently with the Mother’s Blessing Weekend. Over the course of a few days, players received an additional 25% XP and Gold compared to usual. It went down very well with the community hoping it would become a more regular feature moving forward. However, this positive weekend has been set back by the recent expansion news. In an exclusive interview with Dexerto, Diablo General Manager Rod Fergusson confirmed that annual expansions are on the way. The rumored $40-60 price tag for each content add-on, as well as seasonal Battle Passes, has left a sour taste in the mouth of the player base. Diablo 4 can “thank games like Destiny for this” Reddit user Fearlessmojo had this to say on the Diablo 4 subreddit: “The game hasn’t even been out one year and they are already talking about paid YEARLY expansion? There are so many things to still fix and they are out here talking about a fucking expansion less than a year into the game’s lifespan and the game is already a live service game with a battle pass (15$)?” It’s been no secret that fans are unhappy with various aspects of the game – especially when it comes to the “tedious grind.” However, having annual expansions and Battle Passes in tandem – while rival games such as Baldur’s Gate 3 has nothing in this regard – is not going down well. “It’s a 70 dollar game with in game transactions and cosmetics. Jesus,” exclaimed one user and another person theorized: “You can thank games like Destiny for this. Bungie showed yearly expansions and season passes and MTX will sell no matter how much people complain.” Even hardened fans are finding it difficult to support the game anymore: “It sucks people even defend Diablo 4. I’m a lifelong Diablo fan but 4 is an embarrassment. It’s a cash grab that’s hardly different than Immortal and it’s horrifically boring after the campaign. It really sucks too because 1-50 and the story were a lot of fun, after that nothing but denied addiction keeps someone going.” Previous Diablo games had a paid expansion that added another Act and character classes, but as Diablo 4 is a much bigger project, Blizzard’s aims to create an expansion every year will likely split fan opinion. With another few years projected in terms of Diablo 4’s longevity, it will be interesting to see if Blizzard continues ahead with this model. We expect the Battle Pass to continue with Diablo 4 Season 2 though.

  • Diablo 4 players divided over Blizzard selling free beta reward for real money – Dexerto

Diablo 4 players divided over Blizzard selling free beta reward for real money Blizzard EntertainmentThe decision to sell a version of a Diablo 4 beta reward has generated mixed responses from fans. Some think the move is genius, whereas some think it’s a questionable play. The beta for Diablo 4 was a very successful time for the game. Blizzard eventually released stats after the first major beta, breaking down the overall stats. It showed that a ton of players got involved with the testing phase as fans were eager to get hands-on with the RPG looter. Now, the full game is finally out and is proving to be a big success. Die-hard fans and excited beginners are finally getting to cement their progress and explore the plagued world of Sanctuary. Some items have carried over from the beta as special rewards, but one item is causing a bit of a ruckus. The Wolf Pup cosmetic is an adorable addition to any player’s inventory. It could only be obtained via the beta, that is until now – with a catch. Diablo 4 wolf beta reward now costs money? As stated by a post on the Diablo 4 subreddit: “The Beta Wolf Pack is in the shop for 1K.” This equates to $9.99 or £8.39. Given the state of some of the game’s microtransactions, this doesn’t seem too bad. However, one player commented that the reward was actually in the beta and explained it was “The reward for getting to level 20 in the first beta.” But there’s a big difference being overlooked that some players seemed to realize quite quickly. “It’s different. The one from the beta is a black wolf with red and black coloring for the pouch. The store one is a white wolf with a different color pouch,” pointed out one user. So, the OG Wolf Pup with black and red coloring is still the beta reward that can’t be bought, and the new white one is the same design – but with new special colors. This decision has most certainly left players on the fence. One user said: “It was free for everyone in the beta. So… It’s a win win for everyone,” commenting that it’s good that players have been able to obtain the item for free – although not the original design. On the other hand, another user flipped the argument on its head, arguing: “People defending this is problematic. Goes to show they’ll be able to get away with sneaky p2w later with the accelerated Battle Pass. Rod Ferguson got this exact question thrown at him recently, ‘how do you separate achievement cosmetics from bought cosmetics?’ Then next day this happens.” It’s certainly an interesting little point so early on in this game’s lifecycle. In other bizarre circumstances, other Diablo 4 players are buying microtransactions just to be able to play the game at all.

  • Diablo 4 players divided on whether “OP” Ball Lighting Sorc build needs nerfs – Dexerto

Diablo 4 players divided on whether “OP” Ball Lighting Sorc build needs nerfs Blizzard EntertainmentAfter demanding buffs to the Sorcerer class, it seems the magical entity has finally found its place in Season 2, dividing Diablo 4 players. After a blazing arrival, Diablo 4 ran out of steam after fans realized the lack of features and content to keep the grind alive. Season 1 arrived, yet it left much to be desired amongst the player base, as it was dubbed “filler content” by many. Season 2 of Diablo has arrived, and the feedback has been majorly positive. Blizzard seems to have hit the mark with the new quality-of-life updates and has seemingly set a strong foundation for the future. One of the biggest changes in Season 2 came to the Sorcerer class, as the maligned class was dubbed a meme on launch. Fast forward to the present, and fans have wondered if the changes went too far. New “OP” Sorcerer build divides Diablo 4 fans As mentioned, the Sorcerer class underwhelmed much of the player base when Diablo 4 released, a sentiment that didn’t improve after a wave of nerfs. However, Season 2’s Vampiric powers have allowed for the Sorcerer’s Ball Lighting build to do some serious damage. It’s at the point where players are calling for nerfs Lilith can be a tanky boss that’s fairly hard to deal with for players whose gear isn’t up to snuff, but this player shredded her in a matter of seconds. None of her stages stood a chance, and they essentially took this boss and tossed her in a blender. The ability to solo her so quickly has certainly raised some eyebrows in the community, with players divided on whether this build needs nerfs in a Reddit post showcasing the build’s strength. “There’s nerfing something because something is fun, and then there’s nerfing something when it’s absolutely broken and trivializes the whole game, which is this. Should be fixed and brought to other classes’ level.” Another commented, “And people enjoy that? I hate when things are handed to me.” Despite the cries for nerfs, a majority of the player base defended these changes. One player summarized it perfectly “The one time sorc is strong everyone wants it nerf. This is no different than necro or rogue or Druid one shotting uber Lilith. Anyways the fun is having a broken builds. It’s not a competitive game.” While players’ are divided on whether this build needs nerfs, the argument that it’s so good that it edges other builds and classes out of viability holds water. Nothing on Sorcerer has been discovered that holds up to the Ball Lighting build’s DPS like this. At least, not yet. It remains to be seen if the developers try to balance this build out, or if they’ll wait until next Season and change their approach to the Seasonal powers that have made this build so strong.

  • Diablo 4 players divided as Season 5 PTR’s best Unique gets nerfed – Dexerto

Diablo 4 players divided as Season 5 PTR’s best Unique gets nerfed Blizzard EntertainmentA dramatic nerf to the best Unique item in Season 5’s Public Test Realm has stunned Diablo 4 players. Diablo 4’s Season 5, Season of the Infernal Hordes, launches on August 6 at 10 AM PT, bringing several new uniques and a new game mode. After looking at the patch notes, players who experienced the PTR discovered that the season’s most coveted item, Crown of Lucion, received a drastic nerf. Players initially praised the Crown of Lucion for its powerful affixes. The helm included increased maximum life, shadow resistance, cooldown reduction, and a significant damage boost when using resource-costing skills. However, Blizzard reduced its effectiveness, raising resource costs while slashing its damage bonuses. This change shocked many players who had hoped to wield the helm’s once-potent power. In the Diablo 4 subreddit, player reactions to this nerf varied widely. One player humorously lamented, “Crown of Lucion got melted in a pot of acids and oxidizing solutions.” Another expressed relief, stating, “Thank god it was insane. Literally best in the slot for every single class.” A third player agreed with the sentiment but criticized Blizzard’s approach to nerfing in Diablo 4: “Agreed, but as usual, when Blizzard nerfs something, they effectively kill it.” They then analyzed how this change would effectively change the Crown of Lucion, saying “75% multi for 150% Resources Cost Increase. No thanks.” This felt like a double nerf to some players since the Crown of Lucion will now deal less damage but cost more mana. The community has had a mixed response to the Season 5 changes. Many players feel underwhelmed by the adjustments to various unique items. “Many uniques are still useless,” one player noted, “and it’s almost like they used the redesign as a smoke screen to nerf some of the more powerful uniques.” Despite the controversy, Season 5 promises exciting content, including the return of iconic bosses from Diablo 2. Many players believe these additions will “finish” Diablo 4, bringing the game closer to perfection.

  • Diablo 4 players discover hidden Season 5 Mother’s Gift loot farm – Dexerto

Diablo 4 players discover hidden Season 5 Mother’s Gift loot farm BlizzardAlthough Season 5 of Diablo 4 just began on August 6, some dedicated players have already completed the seasonal reward progression and discovered it doesn’t actually end with the final tier. Mother’s Gifts is the rewards system for the Season of the Infernal Hordes, and it has a total of 20 tiers of loot. While previous Seasons had similar reward tiers, they always ended with the last tier. After completing all 20 tiers, one fan on Reddit shared that you can earn repeatable loot caches. The EXP bar at the top shows that players can continue to earn more Mother’s Gifts to obtain multiple Triune War Chests. These Ancestral Legendary caches contain “powerful items and rare crafting materials,” available for players to repeatedly farm over the next two months before the launch of Season 6. Fans in the replies to the Reddit post were quite happy about this change, with one perceptive user noting that it was a “feature that Blizzard has taken from WoW.” So far, Season of the Infernal Hordes has been a hit with players because of updates such as this, as fans have enjoyed features like keeping Tempering Manuals and the Infernal Hordes mode. Some replies theorized that the reasoning behind this Mother’s Gifts change could be due to the shorter season. As one player put it, “progression should be a little faster anyway IMO.” Other than these ecstatic comments, the rest of the replies were shocked at how quickly the original poster completed the seasonal rewards. One fan joked, “You guys need to go outside and breathe some air.” The 20 unlockable tiers and the repeatable reward caches should give Diablo 4 fans ample time to enjoy Season 5 before the launch of the upcoming Vessel of Hatred DLC and Season 6.

  • Diablo 4 players discover Blizzard can’t do “simple math” in Season 2 trailer – Dexerto

Diablo 4 players discover Blizzard can’t do “simple math” in Season 2 trailer Blizzard EntertainmentDiablo 4’s Season 2 trailer has been pulled from the official Diablo Twitter page after fans discovered Blizzard blundered nearly every portion of the video. Just as quickly as Diablo 4 launched and reached the top of the charts, Blizzard’s long-anticipated title fell hard. Players wanted more content, and the first season fell very short of all fan expectations as it felt like “filler content.“ Season 2 is almost here, and fans are hopeful this could be the turnaround the title needed. Plenty of changes have been discussed, with new story content raising fan excitement. Ahead of its upcoming launch, Blizzard released a new trailer to highlight the quality of life changes Season of Blood will implement. However, the trailer was yanked down in seconds, as Blizzard it was full of insane blunders. Diablo 4 S2 trailer becomes Season of Blunders Season of Blood launches October 17, and, aside from the previously mentioned story content, the quality of life changes are noticeable. The new trailer highlighted a few changes coming: dungeon reworks, Seasonal Blessing changes, and mounted buffs are a few of the highlights. It seemed good until one Diablo 4 player noticed that the way these changes were presented didn’t make sense. In a short 4-minute video, Raxxanterax pointed out every single flaw betwixt fits of pure laughter. The video started with the dungeon reworks, which will see some layouts changed. In a side-by-side comparison, Blizzard mixed up the layouts, which caused quite a headache. Up next, player mounts will see buffs to their speed. In another comparison segment, Blizzard showed off the changes, until Raxxanterax called out it was impossible to notice the difference since the footage didn’t paint a readable comparison. Finally, Blizzard provided a mathematical breakdown of how Seasonal Blessings affected player progression. For Season 2, it has been reworked, but the math shown was so wildly incorrect and left it up in the air how much it numbers will change. “Blizzard, I’m trying to build hype for your new season, but you’re making it hard.” Raxxanterax said in between laughs. Raxxanterax ended the video with an offer to fix the slides ahead of BlizzCon. While Season 2 is looks promising, this hype trailer certainly didn’t do it any favors. Considering this trailer has since been deleted, hopefully Blizzard has a more accurate explainer in the works.

  • Diablo 4 players discover best Dungeon & Stronghold for fast XP gain – Dexerto

Diablo 4 players discover best Dungeon & Stronghold for fast XP gain Blizzard EntertainmentSome interesting findings have found that one Diablo 4 Dungeon and Stronghold is head and shoulders above the rest. This is in terms of its XP viability, time to complete, and various other relevant factors. Whether you’re at the beginning of the game or near the end grinding your way to Level 100, knowing the best and most efficient ways of earning XP in Diablo 4 is paramount. More so for those looking to reach the max level, especially in the midst of an intense Hardcore run. To make things easier, one Diablo 4 player has conducted unbelievable amounts of research by completing all Dungeons and Strongholds and comparing the data. When all is said and done, it would appear that location is the pinnacle of the game’s XP-earning potential. Sarat’s Lair is Diablo 4’s best Dungeon for XP Diablo 4 subreddit user Drybear explained to the community: “I hand-tested every single permanent Dungeon and Stronghold in the game and compared them together for clear speed, mob density, and how valuable your time is per second spent in that encounter. These are my findings.” They then presented an explainer of how they came to their findings, as well as a complete table of every Diablo 4 Dungeon and Stronghold. They listed its location, the minimum level required to do it, a scale of how long it takes to do, and the XP received in Solo and Group play. According to their findings, Sarat’s Lair ranks number one for both Solos and Groups in terms of maximizing XP gain. Not only that, but on the user’s speed scale, it ranked 4/5 in terms of speediness too. The OP also added that: “World Tier 1 is better in almost every scenario. World Tier 2 can be thought of as a “Hard Mode” for leveling that will give you a challenge if you enjoy that sort of thing. However, outside of near-perfect optimization, it’s a slower leveling difficulty. It also has the same drops as WT1.” Bear in mind that Sarat’s Lair is statistically the best Dungeon, according to Drybear. In terms of the best Stronghold, that would actually be Temple of Rot. Again though, if you’re looking to ensure you obtain the best XP possible, it’s recommended you should stick to Sarat’s Lair. Some users were quick to point out though that all this data could change with Diablo 4 Season 1. It remains to be seen, but the Season of the Malignant update could affect multiple variables where Dungeons and Strongholds are concerned. We’ll have to wait and see if the data does indeed change as a result.

  • Diablo 4 players desperate for more loadout options – Dexerto

Diablo 4 players desperate for more loadout options Blizzard EntertainmentDiablo 4 players are becoming increasingly impatient for more loadout options and desperately want developers to let them switch playstyles on the fly. Players can create their ideal builds in Diablo 4 and have access to multiple skills per character, many of which complement each other. However, they’re also forced to stick to a loadout of six skills, manually switching them out for others when needed. This is how builds work in Diablo 4, and having access to more skills could potentially make characters overpowered. However, some players argue that if you’re at a high level, then a second or third loadout is perfectly fair, especially since this is something Blizzard has been open to in the past. As players experiment with more builds in Diablo’s seasons, switching loadouts is arguably becoming an increasingly necessary quality-of-life improvement. With the game approaching its fifth season, and an expansion pack set to launch in October, some players are starting to wonder if the feature will ever be added. Talking to other players on Reddit, one frustrated Diablo 4 fan said: “I find myself wanting to play with a second specialization to explore other options. I’m not going to change up the spec that’s allowing me to farm, but it such a detractor to test a second build. Having to screenshot or export the build online to use it again is such a slog.” They went on to say this issue is even making them reconsider buying the Vessel of Hatred DLC, stating: “Honestly, this is keeping me from buying the expansion. I want to continue playing the game after this season, but the game seems so encumbering.” Other players speculated that this feature likely won’t be ready until the expansion arrives: “They have said they are working on loadouts but it takes time and it won’t be ready for S5. My personal guess is it is in the expansion.” Some said they’re used to it at this point, noting that if a player wants to switch build, they should just switch characters. One person wrote, “I just level a new character. I built a minion Necro and wanted something else so started anew. I did the same with bash barb.” However, others agreed with the original poster, pointing out that the situation is becoming more frustrating: “It’s wild that it’s actually easier to make a brand new character and leveling it up instead of spending hours with a respec.” It remains to be seen if Blizzard will add this additional loadout option to Diablo 4. Many players believe it’s not needed, as you can only unlock 50 points worth of skills. But to others, it would free them up to pursue different builds and combine skills in creative new ways.

  • Diablo 4 players want major UI change to stop unfair advantage for others – Dexerto

Diablo 4 players want major UI change to stop unfair advantage for others Blizzard EntertainmentAvid Diablo 4 PC users have targeted a key complaint regarding the game’s UI. It’s one that they believe could easily be fixed and would improve the overall balance of the interface across the board. In just over a month since its release, Diablo 4 players have had to bear witness to a cornucopia of buffs, nerfs, and various other gameplay tweaks. None more so than the giant Season 1 update – which even the devs thought have admitted was too much. Even though many players actually feel Diablo 4 Season 1 is “dead” already, plenty are still playing and enjoying it. Though, there does seem to be a recurring gripe that users are desperate to see addressed ASAP. The game’s limited visual settings have left the player base wanting more. More FOV settings would do wonders for Diablo 4 PC players “Please, in the name of the high Heavens, let me ZOOM OUT,” begged Diablo 4 Reddit user Fictionarious. The player is evidently frustrated that D4 only provides players with two different settings when it comes to the field of view. “One more FOV option on the old scroll wheel that gives more vision than either of the two currently available. Specifically, so that when I’m moving north, I can see more than nine feet in front of me, so that when I’m moving south, I can see more than seven or so. On a very much related note, if I am facing south,” they said. Another Reddit user jumped in and said that users with ultrawide monitors unintentionally get specialist treatment over those with normal screens. “On a side note, ultrawide screen players (21:9) get a noticeable advantage over regular players (16:9). I am not saying it’s unfair, because it’s a cool thing. But the game already lets you see “more” if you’ve got a wider screen. I can’t see any reason why we are locked into the current zoom. The game zooms out on a regular basis. When you’re on a mount, for example, it’s a completely different thing. I wonder if it’s because of some bizarre technical limitation like loading everyone’s stashes on screen into the memory.” The most recent patch actually tweaked several gameplay features such as Malignant Powers and the Battle Pass. So we’ll have to see if Blizzard decides that the UI is also in need of some TLC.
