  • Daniel Cormier thinks Jake Paul’s boxing skill is still “limited” after Tommy Fury loss – Dexerto

Daniel Cormier thinks Jake Paul’s boxing skill is still “limited” after Tommy Fury loss Instagram/JakepaulFormer MMA turned UFC commentator Daniel Cormier has called out Jake Paul’s boxing ability after his loss to Tommy Fury, with Cormier revealing that he still believes the Paul brother has a long way to go. Jake Paul received his first boxing loss recently, with the content creator turned fighter going down against Tommy Fury in a close match. And while many have still praised Jake Paul for his fight against Fury, one firmer MMA athlete thinks the match exposed his “limited” skills in the ring. When speaking about the topic during his ESPN show DC & RC, ex MMA star Daniel Cormier slammed Paul, stating he is “not as good” as what he initially believes “When watching Jake fight against Tommy Fury, he’s not as good as we originally thought,” began Cormier. “Because Tommy Fury pretty much limited him to just throwing overhand rights. He didn’t have an answer for Tommy Fury, a guy that’s been boxing for as long as Fury’s been boxing. He just kept trying to hit him with the overhand right.” Daniel Cormier calls out Jake Paul’s boxing progress amid Fury loss Following on from these comments, the MMA star then explained how, while his previous performances showed potential, Jake Paul struggled to adjust his performance against Tommy, which ultimately cost him the win. “I respected what he was doing because he beat Anderson (Silva) in a boxing match, and what he had did to Tyron and those guys. So, I did think that he was really improving” Cormier said. But he criticized Jake, saying, “But I think in watching the Tommy Fury match, it showed me how limited he still is in terms of his boxing development because when that weapon (right hand) was rendered useless. He just kept going to it, and it became more and more evident that it wasn’t going to land. But he didn’t have a plan B.” Jake Paul is yet to respond to these comments. However, we do know that the content creator turned fighter is keen to get back in the ring. With Jake Paul vs Nate Diaz locked in and set to take place in August of 2023. • Daniel Cormier is all in for Jake Paul fight, but UFC star has “one condition” – Dexerto

Daniel Cormier is all in for Jake Paul fight, but UFC star has “one condition” Instagram: dc_mma / Instagram: JakePaulFormer UFC Light Heavyweight and Heavyweight champion Daniel ‘DC’ Cormier has confirmed that he’s open to fighting controversial YouTube star Jake Paul, but he has one specific condition if the showdown is to happen. Ever since Paul’s first-round knockout over Ben Askren, social media has been anxiously awaiting news on his next opponent. While other internet celebrities threw their name into the hat, none have generated interest quite like DC. The former UFC double champ first addressed the idea on an April 19 episode of the DC & Helwani show. Cormier explained at the time how there is no world in which he would ever “fight down” and face Paul. After coming face to face at UFC 261 over the weekend, however, things are a little different now. Cormier is actually open to a potential fight. Though it has to happen on one condition — it “must be an MMA fight.” Daniel Cormier online “Imma Smack Jake Paul when I see him”Daniel Cormier in person… 🤔 pic.twitter.com/zHnssneYBV — Jake Paul (@jakepaul) April 25, 2021 Daniel Cormier open to Jake Paul fight on one condition “This kid wants to fight?” Cormier laughed. “Ok, but it’ll be a mixed martial arts competition,” he told ESPN’s Ariel Helwani on April 26. If he actually wants to fight with me, fight me in an MMA competition.” Having retired in August 2020 with a final record of 22 wins and three losses, Cormier cemented himself as one of the all-time greats. Despite now enjoying the retired life, the former champ assured it’d be a one-sided affair if he ever jumped back in to meet Paul in an octagon. “At 43 years old, bad back and everything, I’m going to torture him. I’m going to smash him, I’m going to hurt him.” View this post on Instagram Daniel Cormier and Jake Paul come face to face at UFC 261 While he’s open to an MMA bout, a strict boxing match still appears off-limits for now. “Why would I go and box Jake Paul? DC questioned. “I made my money as the Heavyweight champ. I’m not chasing a payday.” Despite not wanting to meet on Paul’s terms, that didn’t stop the UFC veteran from meeting him face to face. Paul arrived at the VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena midway through the UFC 261 PPV and quickly drew attention from the crowd. With “f*** Jake Paul” chants echoing through the venue, DC stood up from the desk where he was working as a commentator. Walking over to Paul, he made it clear that he’s not “going to play [his] games.” “Don’t mess with me,” he told Paul. “I’m not gonna be on the internet messing around. Keep my name out of your mouth or you’re gonna get yourself hurt.” “I wanted to grab his face and smash him into the ground,” DC explained. “But I would’ve got in trouble.” The relevant topic begins at the 53:30 mark below. Clearly, there’s more animosity between the two than ever before. While Paul was allegedly yelling at DC to “sign the contract,” not only is there no contract, but he evidently has no interest in a straight boxing showdown. If the two ever clash, it won’t be on Paul’s terms. At least, that’s DC’s stance for the time being. Last week, he shot down any notion of a fight altogether. This week, he’s open to an MMA fight. Perhaps with enough time, Paul can talk himself into boxing one of UFC’s all-time greats.

  • When TikTok trends turn dangerous: Most controversial trends that went viral on TikTok – Dexerto

When TikTok trends turn dangerous: Most controversial trends that went viral on TikTok Unsplash: Bangsal Nam / Christian AllardEven though most trends on TikTok are fun and entertaining, sometimes they cross the line to dangerous. While most trends on TikTok include people choreographing viral dances and trying out bizarre new filters, sometimes certain trends can get a little out of hand, leading to terrifying consequences. From eating weird things to playing with traffic, you never know what might come next. Most dangerous TikTok trends TikTok has taken action to prevent these trends from spreading and removed hashtags that can help them grow. That being said, here are some of the most dangerous TikTok trends. Note: We strongly advise against attempting any of the below challenges. Eating laundry products Perhaps the most known, dangerous trend from TikTok is people eating Tide pods. The trend, which began in 2017, saw people get hospitalized and eight people were reported having died from taking part in the trend. In 2023, a new trend shocked health workers as people started eating Borax, a powder laundry detergent, as a way to ease the symptoms of arthritis, lupus, or other health issues. Soon thereafter, a video featuring @chem.thug, a chemist working on his Ph.D. in organic chemistry, has gone viral with over 1.8 million viewers hearing him explain why eating Borax is a very bad idea. “Don’t eat sh*t out of the f*cking laundry box, people,” he implored. “This is patently dangerous.” “Borax is actually really not good for you. According to the literature, it can cause kidney failure. It can cause reproductive harm. It also can cause developmental issues,” he added. Chroming In March 2023, a 13-year-old girl in Australia from chemical exposure while at a sleepover. She was taking part in a new TikTok trend called ‘chroming’ as she sniffed an aerosol deodorant. Although Chroming isn’t a new thing, with the word referring to the act of inhaling the fumes from a toxic source, such as an aerosol can, a spray deodorant, or a paint container, TikTok made the act spread all across TikTok and introducing a new generation to it. On TikTok, users engaging in ‘chroming’ post videos under the term ‘WhipTok’, a slang term for the recreational use of nitrous oxide. ‘Whiptok’ has over 546.3 million views on the platform. Click here if TikTok doesn’t load Chroming involves inhaling toxic substances to create a temporary high. It gives a temporary high, similar to the effects of alcohol. However, the activity can result in deadly side effects. These include heart attack, seizures, suffocation, coma, choking, or fatal injury, and can cause permanent organ damage. Angel of Death Challenge In June 2022, Insider reported that at least two people had died in Indonesia as a result of participating in the ‘Angel of Death’ challenge. The trend involved teenagers jumping in front of moving trucks, with the hopes that the driver would stop before hitting the individual participating, or swerving the vehicle. On the same day that an 18-year-old in Tangerang died as a result of attempting the challenge, local police reported that they detained as many as 14 minors who were suspected of trying to attempt similar dangerous acts. Tanning Trends Beauty and makeup is a focal point of thousands of videos across TikTok, and users have gone viral in the past for sharing their favorite tanning methods and techniques. However, skincare experts have warned users against trying a number of different TikTok tanning hacks. In July 2023, people on TikTok were seen pouring beer all over their bodies as a “cheap way” to tan faster. Some have used both beer and sunscreen, while others don’t use any sunscreen at all. However, experts were quick to call out this trend as dangerous, with one skin expert saying: “If you were to replace using sunscreen for a can of holiday beer, you are leaving yourself vulnerable to the sun’s exposure with no protection. Doing this can leave you at an increased risk of sunburn, heatstroke, or even sun poisoning in severe cases.” Last summer, a viral tanning technique showed users mixing water and moisturizer in a bottle, and spraying it on their skin throughout the day to supposedly help improve their tan. However, experts at JustMyLook explained: “We strongly advise against undertaking this hack. Not only is the process unsafe, but exposure to the sun in this way with no protection can severely increase the risk of sunburn which can lead to melanoma (skin cancer). Blackout Challenge There have been several recorded deaths of children including a 10-year-old girl in 2021 as a result of the viral Blackout Challenge, which encourages users to hold their breath or choke themselves to the point of losing consciousness. The trend has been around for some time, before TikTok, but saw a noticeable resurgence in popularity on the app, much to the concern of parents. The mother of the ten-year-old girl who died after attempting the challenge warned: “Make sure you check your kids’ phones. Just pay attention because you never know what you might find on their phones, or the things they’re trying that you think 10-year-olds wouldn’t try. They’re trying because they’re kids and they don’t know better.” In 2008, the CDC shared warning signs that a child may be participating in the “choking game” that included, “bloodshot eyes,” “marks on the neck,” and “severe headaches.” NyQuil Chicken TikTok has had plenty of recipes go viral on the app over the years, but this one wasn’t like any other. In a ‘recipe’ that appeared to first originate on Twitter, TikTok users were braising chicken in nighttime cold medicine NyQuil to make so-called ‘Sleepy Chicken.’ Although several of the videos appeared to actually be satirical, doctors still warned against trying the peculiar dish, with Richmond-based physician Aaron Hartmon telling MIC: “When you cook cough medicine like NyQuil, you boil off the water and alcohol in it, leaving the chicken saturated with a super concentrated amount of drugs in the meat.” He added that, “inhaled, these medicines also enter your bloodstream really quickly and are not going past your liver for detoxification. The effects can be quite bad depending on how much you inhale.” Fire Mirror Challenge Back in 2021, a 13-year-old girl ended up in the ICU with third-degree burns after she attempted perhaps one of the most dangerous challenges the app has seen. The Fire Mirror challenge involved participants spraying shapes on their mirror with a flammable liquid and then setting fire to it. Firefighter Rob Garrison from Portland Fire and Rescue said: “This is maybe one of the most dangerous things I’ve ever seen anybody do in my life,” adding, “you could be standing next to a lake if you want and light yourself on fire, and by the time you hit the water, you’re probably going to have burns on your body.” Attempts to search ‘Fire Mirror Challenge’ on TikTok now result only in a link to an info page labeled “learn how to recognize harmful challenges and hoaxes.” Milk Crate Challenge In August 2021, TikTok began removing videos of people attempting the ‘Milk Crate Challenge’ after medical professionals warned against trying it. The trend, which was also hugely popular on Twitter, involve stacking a mountain of milk crates, and attempting to ascend and descend the unstable structure without falling. Orthopedic Surgeon Dr. Shawn Anthony told the Today Show that wounds that could occur as a result of people attempting the challenge included: “Broken wrists, shoulder dislocations, ACL and meniscus tears, as well as life-threatening conditions like spinal cord injuries.” TikTok also condemned the challenge, and told Newsweek: “TikTok prohibits content that promotes or glorifies dangerous acts, and we remove videos and redirect searches to our Community Guidelines to discourage such content. We encourage everyone to exercise caution in their behavior whether online or off.” In light of the criticism toward harmful trends on the site, TikTok has taken steps to prevent dangerous content in their new guidelines which they revealed in 2022, targeting “dangerous acts and challenges,” “eating disorders,” and “hateful ideologies.” The above challenges are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to dangerous trends on TikTok, and it’s only a matter of time before the next worrying challenge makes an appearance on the app.

  • “Dangerous” TikTok Blackout Challenge claims another 12 year-old victim – Dexerto

“Dangerous” TikTok Blackout Challenge claims another 12 year-old victim The 12 year-old boy died on July 19 after attempting the TikTok blackout challenge. His name will not be released by the police. This is the fourth known death linked to the challenge. Despite gaining prominence on TikTok, the challenge has been around for decades. It has many aliases, such as ‘The Choking Game’ and ‘Speed Dreaming.’ Studies show that between 1995 – 2007, 82 kids fatally injured themselves while attempting to copy it. The aim of the game is to induce a state of ‘euphoria’ by almost-but-not-quite blacking out. It encourages children to constrict their breathing, triggering an adrenaline surge or ‘high.’ Each of the TikTok-linked fatalities have been under the age of 13. Back in April, a Colorado-based boy died in exactly the same way, also 12 years old. Now, on July 19, Oklahoma police have confirmed that another boy was found in his apartment on Monday night. He was hospitalized with neck injuries, but died soon after. Read More: She Rates Dogs podcast cohost dies aged 26 – The CDC claim that there are several ways to tell whether a loved one is engaging in the challenge. Warning signs include “bloodshot eyes”, “marks on the neck” and “severe headaches.” Doctors warn that the challenge can cause “fainting” and “seizures.” Parents speak out against the blackout challenge As a result of the deaths, victims’ parents have been raising awareness of the deadly game. 12-year-old Joshua Haileyesus died after 19 days on life support in April 2021. His father said he would “never” have attempted to harm himself in this way. “He was exposed to these ideas,” he said. “Kids especially don’t know how fragile they are.” TikTok has since removed all videos under the ‘blackout challenge’ hashtag. They state that the videos may be associated with “behavior or content that violates our guidelines.”

  • Danganronpa cosplayer goes viral as TikTok goes wrong – Dexerto

Danganronpa cosplayer goes viral as TikTok goes wrong Spike ChunsoftA Danganronpa cosplay TikTok went viral when the performer accidentally drank the contents of her syringe prop. TikTok star and Danganronpa cosplayer, April @suguha.cos, went viral for the wrong reasons when a stunt involving her syringe prop went wrong. April was cosplaying as Mikan Tsumik from the anime game series Danganronpa when her mishap took place. Mikan Tsumiki is a student nurse in the Danganronpa series who’s often seen carrying an abnormally large syringe. At the start of her TikTok stunt, April places the syringe in her mouth but accidentally drinks the contents. Surprised, April then utters a series of expletives before assuring her audience, “I didn’t mean to drink it. I was going to do something cool.” She then ends the TikTok video, presumably to try again. https://www.tiktok.com/@suguha.cos/video/7034718109818817797?sender_device=pc&sender_web_id=7010744186592986629&is_from_webapp=v1&is_copy_url=0 Mikan Tsumiki TikTok goes viral It’s unknown what April drank when she lifted the syringe to her lips, but she seemed more shocked than worried. This means we can rest assured that whatever she drank was harmless, and that April was just frustrated that she needed to start over, rather than she drank something unexpected. The clip has gone crazy viral, being liked on TikTok over 1.3 million times. At the time of writing, it’s also attracted over 7000 comments and has been shared over 1200 times. April’s @suguha.cos TikTok account has over 87.6K followers and earned over two million likes since it’s been active. What is Danganronpa? April is no stranger to Danganronpa or Mikan Tsumiki cosplay, with many of her TikToks featuring the nurse. Danganronpa involves a group of high school students that are forced to murder each other by an evil bear named Monokuma, which explains the blood splatter on April’s costume. Although, we don’t remember Mikan Tsumiki ever drinking the contents of her syringe in the games.

  • Dance studio causes outrage with “Mommy and Me” pole dancing classes – Dexerto

Dance studio causes outrage with “Mommy and Me” pole dancing classes Instagram: @pinkpolesstudiosA pole dancing studio is offering ‘mommy and me’ classes for children, but many on Instagram are not happy about it. Many parents are conscious of the activity levels of their children, often taking them to football, ballet, or swimming classes after school. However, a dance studio in Georgia is offering young children pole dancing classes, in a new ‘mommy and me,’ class. On January 7, a video was posted on their Instagram account, showing moms spinning around on poles along with their kids. “Exciting news! After 3 years of anticipation, it’s finally happening. We are here to break stigmas and set the bar,” the caption read. People outraged by studio offering “mommy and me” pole dancing classes After the video was posted, comments were quickly disabled. Under a different, unrelated post on their Instagram page, an angry commenter wrote: “Ya’ll teaching kids how to pole dance? People like ya’ll are the problem and deserve whatever destruction is coming. Trifling. I hope somebody comes with gasoline and a match.” “I think it’s very irresponsible of that mommy and me pole dancing studio to record and upload videos featuring kids in their workshops,” one wrote on Twitter/X. Some, however, defended the classes but merely criticized them being posted online, stating: “Right. Nothing wrong with it, but to post it on the internet knowing there’s a bunch of weirdos.” “Ain’t nothing wrong with kids learning a new skill and exercising but unfortunately we share the internet with predators,” another concurred. Another mom was under fire, as her OnlyFans account led to her children being suspended from school.

Dana White’s bounty leads to arrest of “moron” who attempted to break-in to his home UFC / Dana WhiteA man has been arrested, suspected of trying to break into UFC boss Dana White’s home, after Dana shared footage of the incident to his Instagram and offered to reward $2,500 for someone to give the suspect’s identity to the police. UFC president Dana White has kept himself busy promoting his Power Slap mobile game and organizing upcoming professional fighting bouts, such as a long-awaited return to UFC for Conor McGregor. However, this time it was his own home that ended up being attacked after a man was seen via video footage trying to kick down his front door as he attempted to break into his vacation home in Maine. The MMA mogul, shared the footage to his over 8 million Instagram followers on August 28, as he called the suspected man a “moron” and offered a bounty of $2,500 to the first person who gave the suspect’s identity to authorities. In the video, the man can be seen walking up some stairs to the front door with his phone in one hand as he proceeds to kick the door hard three times before falling backward. • Dana White wants “ridiculous” Mike Tyson vs Jake Paul fight called off – Dexerto

Dana White wants “ridiculous” Mike Tyson vs Jake Paul fight called off YouTube: FlagrantUFC CEO Dana White visited Andrew Schulz’s Flagrant Podcast and shared his thoughts about the “ridiculous” Mike Tyson and Jake Paul fight happening on Netflix. Although the fight has been postponed, Mike Tyson vs Jake Paul is still set to premiere on Netflix with the new date being revealed on June 7, 2024. Many have shared their thoughts about the upcoming fight, and the UFC’s very own Dana White has chimed in during a visit to Andrew Schulz’s Flagrant podcast. During the episode, Schulz asked Dana his thoughts about the bout and the UFC President was quick to call it “ridiculous.” “When this fight happens Tyson will be 58 f**kin years old. Under any circumstances an almost 60-year-old man shouldn’t be fighting a 27-year-old guy under any circumstances… it’s just f**kin ridiculous,” he said. White went on to explain that he’s against the fight because he’s worried about Tyson’s health at nearly 60 years old. “Jake Paul’s 27, he’s in his f**kin prime… and I love Mike. No one wants to see Mike get beat by this f**kin j**koff,” Dana said. (Topic starts at 58:36) This isn’t the first time that Dana White has chimed in on the Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson fight, either. Back in March, White explained that the fight wasn’t “serious” due to the age gap. However, fighting someone as legendary as Mike Tyson has its obvious perks. He said: “He doesn’t [want to be taken seriously]. What Jake wants is Jake wants to make money. The people that follow Jake Paul don’t buy Jake Paul’s fights so Jake Paul has to fight people who can actually sell pay-per-views.” After the Paul vs Tyson fight was postponed due to the legendary boxer’s health issues, more than a handful of others reached out attempting to take Tyson’s spot. This includes former Tyson opponent Roy Jones Jr, who said he will make sure to be in shape for a fight should the opportunity arise.

  • Dana White threatens Jake Paul with legal action if he keeps calling out UFC fighters – Dexerto

Dana White threatens Jake Paul with legal action if he keeps calling out UFC fighters Wikimedia commons: Andrius Petrucenia/YouTube: Jake PaulUFC president Dana White threatened Jake Paul with legal action as he wants to square with another UFC fighter following his win over Ben Askren. When YouTubers first dipped their toe into the boxing world, they were just stepping in the ring to fight other content creators. However, it’s gone so far beyond that since. Jake Paul, and his brother Logan, are at the forefront of the YouTube boxing revolution as they continue to get into the ring. After much talk, Jake finally delivered on his promise to defeat MMA star Ben Askren at Triller Fight Club, making some cool money in the process as the pay-per-view event dominated the internet. He’s set his sights on fighting even more UFC fighters, but that might have to wait. Speaking to Yahoo Sports following the fight, UFC president Dana White was asked if he’d seen that the YouTuber wanted to fight MMA legend Daniel Cormier, and he had an interesting response. “Why don’t you go fight a f**king boxer?” White said, confused by how his promotion had been dragged into things again. “[Why] The f**k do these guys keeping talking to UFC guys for? “I’m going to have to slap them with another f**king legal letter. These f**king idiots. Go talk to f**king boxers, what are you doing?” This is my interview with @danawhite talking about #UFC261, next fight for @francis_ngannou his thoughts on @robwhittakermma and comments on the #PaulAskren fight https://t.co/XRz0Ga8NdS — Kevin Iole (@KevinI) April 20, 2021 White wouldn’t be drawn into giving his opinions on the fight, but he did open up on another talking point, his so called multi-million dollar with Snoop Dogg. Despite all the pre-fight talk about that bet, the UFC prez said that it never actually happened. “I did not bet $2 million with Snoop or anybody,” he added. As for who Jake might fight next, if it’s not a UFC star, well, he’s been called out by plenty of people. Longtime rival KSI wants to square off, and that could draw some buzz, but we’ll have to wait and see.

  • Dana White tells Jake Paul to call out UFC champ instead of Conor McGregor – Dexerto

Dana White tells Jake Paul to call out UFC champ instead of Conor McGregor YouTube: ESPN/Instagram: Jake PaulDana White has questioned why Jake Paul won’t go after UFC champion Israel Adesanya rather than Conor McGregor, given the YouTuber matches up with the ‘Last Stylebender’ a bit more evenly. As he has made waves in the boxing world, Jake Paul hasn’t been afraid of poking the bear of the MMA community – regularly going after a handful of different fighters. The YouTuber’s most public beef has been with the pair of Dana White and Conor McGregor, urging Dana to allow the Irish fighting icon to take a fight with him either in the boxing ring or the UFC’s Octagon. Jake has even offered to drop his rivalry with the UFC if he’s allowed to take on the Notorious one inside the cage, but, the UFC president isn’t sure Conor should be his target. Ahead of UFC’s Fight Night in London, White spoke about how Jake and Conor don’t match up physically at all, which makes a fight difficult even in a neutral catchweight bout. “That kid couldn’t even make 170lbs, that’s how big he is. I mean, he’s calling out these (smaller) guys,” White told ESPN, referring to the massive weight difference between Jake and Conor. “Do you want to see that fight? So why are you even asking me about that, why are we even talking about it?” “They’re not even remotely close to being in the same weight class. This kid is 6 foot 1, 210 lbs. Conor McGregor is 155 lbs,” the UFC boss continued, noting that Conor isn’t afraid to fire back and claim he’ll step up. “Why isn’t he (Jake) calling out Israel Adesanya? I know! I know, and you know, and he knows, and everybody else knows too.” Timestamp of 8:55 While their feud has escalated over the last few months, White isn’t afraid of doing business with the YouTuber and has repeated the “never say never” line. Though, he clearly would want to see something that makes sense. Given that McGregor is the ‘money’ fight for many fighters, Jake’s continued beef with him makes sense, even if they don’t match up physically. Though, we’ll have to wait and see what happens.

  • Dana White takes aim at Jake Paul’s fight company over Hasim Rahman cancelation – Dexerto

Dana White takes aim at Jake Paul’s fight company over Hasim Rahman cancelation Jake Paul/Instagram/Andrius Petrucenia/WikimediaUFC President Dana White shared his thoughts on Jake Paul being forced to cancel his fight against Hasim Rahman Jr after the boxer had issues making their agreed-upon weight. Jake Paul was left infuriated after his second would-be foe pulled out at the last moment, leaving the influencer with no one to fight at his Madison Square Garden pay-per-view event. This marks the third time that a scheduled fight involving Jake Paul has been canceled with the first two times being ‘Love Island’ star Tommy Fury. Amid the chaos of the event cancelation, Dana White, who has quite the history with Jake Paul, was asked to give his thoughts on ‘The Problem Child’ and his pay-per-view woes. (segment begins at 3:30 for mobile users) Dana White says Jake Paul needs “different people around him” Despite having feuded with Jake Paul in the past over UFC fighter pay, Dana White refused to “be happy or gloat” over the YouTuber’s event being canned. “Both those guys I’m sure put in a lot of hard work and training to get ready for this fight. Spent money to get ready for this fight. But I will say this: just because you are an account here, doesn’t mean what the f**k goes on here and doesn’t mean that you can run a fight promotion company,” the UFC boss said. “I think that Jake Paul probably needs to get some different people around him. If he’s gonna stay in this sport, he needs to be with guys that actually really know how to put on fights.” White’s remarks are likely a reference to former UFC employee Nakisa Bidarian who helped co-found Paul’s company Most Valuable Promotions. Additionally, the UFC President dismissed qualms about Hasim Rahman Jr unable to make weight as the reason for the cancelation. “I think they sold under a million dollars in tickets and it cost $500,000 to turn the f**king lights on at MSG, that’s what I think,” he hypothesized. “Not to mention the fact that hotel rooms in New York and transportation and everything else is very expensive.” It’s unclear what will come next for The Problem Child or if he will take Dana White’s advice, but for now, Jake Paul will need to wait until he gets another opportunity to improve to 6-0 in his boxing career.

  • Dana White slams Jake Paul’s claim that UFC fighters are underpaid – Dexerto

Dana White slams Jake Paul’s claim that UFC fighters are underpaid YouTube/UFC/Instagram/JakePaulUFC President Dana White responded to YouTuber turned boxer Jake Paul’s claims that UFC fighters are underpaid. The feud between Jake Paul and Dana White has been ongoing for quite some time, with the UFC boss even threatening to take legal action against The Problem Child for constantly calling out his MMA talent. According to Jake Paul, his boxing events have earned him more money than “all but two UFC fighters have in history” and believes White doesn’t pay his fighters their “fair share.” Now, after UFC 263, Dana White responded to Jake Paul’s allegations and took aim at the younger brother’s pay-per-view numbers, which he still believes are greatly exaggerated. “[Jake Paul] didn’t do a million. His brother did a million! Floyd did a million” Dana said. “Last time we did a press conference, I told you all the Triller stuff is a bunch of bullsh*t.” While White stressed that he believes Logan and Floyd’s numbers are accurate, he remained defiant that Jake’s fight against Ben Askren pulled a million pay-per-view buys. He also blasted claims by former Welterweight champion Tyron Woodley who said he was about to make his biggest payday ever by fighting Jake Paul. “I’ve been hearing that bullsh*t forever. They’re all full of sh*t,” White snapped. “I keep not wanting to do this. Tyron Woodley is 40-years-old, he hasn’t won a fight in three years in something he’s actually supposed to be good at. And now he’s going to go box?” Clearly unimpressed by Woodley and Jake Paul, Dana didn’t hold back: “how do you sell that fight? Lots of other things, ‘making millions of dollars and this is the biggest payday ever and Jake Paul will say mean things about me and pay your fighters.’ It’s all bullsh*t!” With how Dana White has responded to the antics of Woodley and Paul, it will be interesting to see how the build-up for their fight on August 28 continues.

  • Dana White scoffs at Jake Paul’s UFC challenge: “You’re a cheater” – Dexerto

Dana White scoffs at Jake Paul’s UFC challenge: “You’re a cheater” Instagram: Jake Paul / YouTube: Hotboxin’ with Mike TysonUFC President Dana White responded to Jake Paul’s challenge to increase fighter pay in exchange for his retirement by claiming he thinks Paul is a “cheater”, asking him to take random steroid tests. On January 1, Paul issued a “real challenge” to White. He said he would retire from boxing immediately and agree to fight Jorge Masvidal in the UFC if White agreed to pay his fighters more and provide long-term healthcare. He also tagged a number of fighters to get on board, including Conor McGregor, Francis Ngannou, Israel Adesanya, Jorge Masvidal, Kamaru Usman, Khabib Nurmagomedov, Nate Diaz, Rose Namajunas, and more. White responded to the challenge shortly after. He called Paul a “cheater” and asked him to take random steroid tests for the next two years. Then, he urged him to start his own fight promotion business if he thinks it’s so easy. “Jake, you never responded to the challenge,” said White. “I believe that you’re a cheater. I believe that you use steroids. So, I want to randomly steroid test you for the next two years. “That thing you came out with today. Nobody on earth thinks that you really wrote that. You’re too stupid.” He also implied that Jake’s “scumbag” manager, who used to be an accountant for the UFC, played a part. “If you two think you can do it better than we do, and that we’re doing this whole thing wrong, and that you can treat the fighters better than we do, knock yourselves out. Go start your own business. It’s easy to do.” Read More: KSI updates fans on possible Jake Paul fight – Then, he told them to focus on their own business. “You’re tanking. You’re not.” .@jakepaul you never responded to the challenge pic.twitter.com/1uzI9mur1T — danawhite (@danawhite) January 2, 2022 White concluded his response by reiterating his point about Paul’s pay-per-view numbers. He also laid down the random steroid testing challenge one last time. “Do you use steroids? Let’s do this, Jake,” he said. White and Paul have been at odds with each other ever since White disputed Paul’s pay-per-view numbers against Ben Askren in April 2021. Paul responded by telling him to pay his fighters more, and the rest is history.

  • Dana White roasts “state of boxing” over Mayweather vs Logan Paul fight – Dexerto

Dana White roasts “state of boxing” over Mayweather vs Logan Paul fight Wikimedia commons: Andrius Petrucenia/YouTube: Logan PaulDana White took a shot at the current state of boxing when asked about the upcoming Floyd Mayweather vs Logan Paul fight by the NELK Boys, offering his best wishes to the YouTuber. Since YouTuber boxing matches started happening all the way back in 2018, a few winners have tried their luck in calling out bigger and brighter stars, with some just focusing on wanting to fight professional athletes. Jake Paul finally broke the mold with his knockout win over former NBA star Nate Robinson and used that to call out Conor McGregor as well as a few others. While, on the other hand, his brother Logan finally caught the big fish – signing up for an exhibition bout with Floyd Mayweather that’ll take place in February. Though there is interest in the fight as a spectacle, it has been ridiculed by some boxing purists, even though there is support for YouTubers in boxing from the likes of Mike Tyson. However, Dana White used the announcement as a chance to throw shade on his competitors. White joined the NELK Boys on their December 6 stream, where after a few minutes of talking about the UFC, he was asked for his thoughts on the Floyd vs Logan Paul exhibition bout. “When people ask me whats the state of boxing right now, that’s where it’s at. I mean, didn’t that kid get beat up by the f**king video game kid from England?” said the UFC president, referencing Paul’s defeat to KSI. “And now, he’s going to fight Floyd Mayweather?” White also pointed out that there is a bit of a weight difference too, given that Floyd usually boxes at around 146-150 lbs. “Doesn’t he weigh 200 pounds too?” asked White. “I don’t know. Good luck to him.” In terms of Logan having a chance against Mayweather, early odds for their February match up have the undefeated boxing superstar as a heavy, heavy favorite – with the Paul brother needing a miracle to win. The fight will be shown live on Fanmio, on February 20, and you can find every other detail you need about it in our hub, here.

  • Dana White reveals Jake Paul UFC fight offer amid Conor McGregor speculation – Dexerto

Dana White reveals Jake Paul UFC fight offer amid Conor McGregor speculation Amanda Wescott/SHOWTIME/WikimediaUFC President Dana White revealed he was willing to give YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul a chance to fight in the octagon, amid speculation that he faces off against MMA superstar Conor McGregor. Jake Paul has been feuding with Dana White for months now, frequently calling out the UFC boss for underpaying his fighters and demanding he does right by them. In his pursuit of better fighter income, The Problem Child has made several offers to White and Conor McGregor, most recently demanding a fight with the Irishman under the condition that if he loses, he would donate his purse to others on the card. Amid this war of words, Dana White revealed he actually made an offer to Jake Paul to get involved in the UFC, but for some reason, it wasn’t enough to get Paul on board. Dana White claims Jake Paul rejected UFC offer In an interview with Sky Sports, Dana White was asked about taking Jake Paul’s tweets seriously where he often calls out the UFC boss. “No. Why would I?” White responded. “Because he’s popular I should take his tweets seriously? I’m not sh*tting on the kid; we’re the biggest fight promotion company in the history of the world. No, I don’t take his tweets seriously.” To add to this, White even admitted that he made contact with Paul to try to get him involved. “I made an offer to him. He was talking sh*t. I made an offer to him and obviously, he didn’t want to do it,” he revealed. “It’s all good. There’s always gonna be a market for what he does. His style, what he’s got going on. This just isn’t the place.” It’s not clear what the offer entailed if it involved McGregor or why Jake Paul rejected it, but it does add an interesting twist to the ongoing feud between the two. So far, Jake Paul has yet to respond to Dana’s claim, but it will be interesting to see if the two can reach an agreement to finally see the YouTuber step into the octagon at some point in the future.

  • Dana White reveals how Nate Diaz really feels about fighting Jake Paul – Dexerto

Dana White reveals how Nate Diaz really feels about fighting Jake Paul Instagram/Jake Paul/Nate DiazUFC President Dana White has shed new light on the possibility of Nate Diaz fighting against Jake Paul after rumors that the two were willing to duke it out. Jake Paul has made a huge name for himself in the boxing scene, knocking out everyone he has fought including former UFC champ Tyron Woodley, and since, he’s continued to beef with past and present mixed martial artists. Despite ‘The Problem Child’ being scheduled to fight Hasim Rahman Jr in August, a lot of attention has been on who Jake would fight next with Jorge Masvidal, Michael Bisping and Nate Diaz being possible opponents. While it may have seemed like Nate Diaz was interested in fighting Jake Paul, in a recent interview, Dana White revealed why that fight may not happen in boxing once the MMA star concludes his contract. Dana White says Nate Diaz “would never” fight Jake Paul Speaking with Yahoo Sports, Dana was asked if Nate Diaz would be interested in fighting the YouTuber and revealed that he had a conversation with the UFC fighter about it in his office one day. “I don’t know [if Diaz will fight Jake Paul],” the UFC boss said. “He said, ‘I would never do that.’ That’s what he said to me.” According to White, Diaz dismissed the possibility of duking it out with Paul by saying “That sh*t’s goofy.” Yahoo says that Zach Rosenfield, a representative for Diaz, refused to comment on Jake, insisting that the fighter was focused on battling Khamzat Chimaev. We’ll have to wait and see what happens after August 6 when Jake Paul faces off against Hasim Rahman Jr and who he ends up taking on after him. However, if Dana White’s comments are anything to go by, it won’t be Nate Diaz.

  • Dana White reveals how he saved Logan Paul from getting jumped at UFC 264 – Dexerto

Dana White reveals how he saved Logan Paul from getting jumped at UFC 264 YouTube: MMAFightingonSBN, imPaulsiveIt’s no secret that Dana White isn’t exactly on good terms with the Paul brothers — but their grudge doesn’t seem to have stopped the UFC President from saving Logan from a potentially harmful situation. The Pauls have long been attempting to get inside the octagon. Ever since their boxing debut in 2018, both YouTubers have made it their mission to harangue Dana White for a spot in the UFC… to little effect. Instead, White has vehemently denied them a chance at grappling mixed martial artists in a professional circuit, even to the point of joking that they’d get “murdered” if they were ever to enter the UFC. While Logan has since backed down from his public attempts at persuading White, Jake Paul has continued their beef up to the present day, slamming White’s most recent claims that Jake has “never fought anybody his size or anyone who is actually a boxer.” Despite this family feud, White knew that he couldn’t let Logan Paul sit with the general populace during UFC 264 last month. It’s no secret that the YouTube star boasts his fair share of critics — with one woman even spitting in his face just last year. With this in mind, White upgraded Paul to the “Billionaire’s Row,” where major celebrities and other important figures — like former US President Donald Trump, for instance — can have a front-row seat for the action. “He bought a bunch of tickets to the fight, and the tickets he bought were not tickets he’d want to sit in,” White explained during a podcast episode with YouTubers the NELK Boys. “He was going to get smashed. So I put him over in another section.” To Logan’s credit, he has effectively removed himself from the Jake-Dana beef, stating during a past episode of his own podcast: “I’ve come out publicly and said I love Dana White, always have always will, he’s a ruthless businessman, the head honcho, but I’m not sure how he feels about me. By default, my relationship with my brother will always take precedence but, if I can be cool with someone I will.” It seems that these two are on fairly good terms, for the moment… as long as Jake doesn’t continue to poke the bear.

  • Dana White reveals he’s open to Logan Paul fighting in the UFC – Dexerto

Dana White reveals he’s open to Logan Paul fighting in the UFC YouTube: ImpaulsiveUFC chief Dana White has admitted that there’s a place for YouTuber Logan Paul in the UFC — as rumors heat up of a fight between Conor McGregor and Logan’s younger brother, Jake. Jake has had a long-running feud with not just McGregor but with Dana White, too. He’s frequently called out the UFC boss over issues regarding fighter’s pay, among other things, and the two definitely aren’t on good terms. Logan, however, is on good terms with White, and while he’s wowing WWE fans in the squared circle as he prepares for Wrestlemania, he’s wanting to take to the octagon too. Best of all for Logan, Dana’s keen on the idea too. During his appearance on the Impaulsive podcast, in which Dana confirmed Jake vs Conor is a possibility, they got onto the conversation of whether Logan could fight in the UFC too. “If I wanted to do a UFC fight, is that something you would entertain?” Logan asked, with Dana simply asking “Well who would you want to fight?” White goes on to say “you have wrestling and boxing … I’m not saying no. I’m not saying no,” while Logan frequently reiterates that he “could get it done.” Timestamp 47:00 With Logan’s history in both wrestling and boxing — as well as his ability to sell a fight — there’s no doubt people would be tuning in in their droves to see him in an MMA fight in the UFC. That said, organizing a UFC fight is probably easier said than done, though, given the potential payday, we wouldn’t be surprised to see some fighters jumping at the possibility of fighting Logan.

  • Dana White reveals Elon Musk & Mark Zuckerberg “dead serious” about fight – Dexerto

Dana White reveals Elon Musk & Mark Zuckerberg “dead serious” about fight YouTube: Pat McAfee ShowDana White has revealed that he’s been in touch with Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg over their proposed MMA fight and he says both are “absolutely dead serious” about it. Over the last few days, Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg have been teasing the fact that might fight each other under MMA rules. It’s even gotten to the point where the Facebook boss took inspiration from Khabib Nurmagomedov with the ‘send me location’ message to Elon on June 22 about making the ‘cage match’ a reality. Dana White is not exactly new to celebrity and big crossover fights. He helped promote the Conor McGregor vs Floyd Mayweather boxing match and signed wrestling star CM Punk to the UFC. Now, it seems he’s getting involved with the proposed Musk vs Zuckerberg fight, as he’s spoken to both sides about it actually happening. And, he’s conceived it could be the “biggest” fight in the history of fights. Dana White reveals he’s involved with Musk vs Zuckerberg fight talks “I was talking to both Elon and Mark last night, both guys are absolutely dead serious about this,” he told TMZ. “They both said yeah, we’ll do it. They both want to do it!” The UFC president revealed that Zuckerberg asked him initially if Musk was actually interested, so he’s been acting as somewhat of a middleman and hypeman for them. Which is well within his remit, given his longtime role within the UFC. “This would be the biggest fight ever in the history of the world. Bigger than anything that’s ever been done, it would break all pay-per-view records,” he added. “These guys would raise hundreds of millions of dollars for charity and you don’t have to be a fight fan to be interested in this fight.” White added that “everybody would want to see it,” but there doesn’t appear to be anything set just yet in the way of date, location, or what MMA ruleset they’d contest the fight under. It remains to be seen if it will actually happen or if it’s just a classic bit of talk to create interest in something that goes nowhere or severely undersells the hype.

But one of his most prominent feuds is between him and UFC president Dana White. The pair have traded blows back and forth online for months, specifically regarding the issue of fighters’ pay. After the August 25 open workout ahead of his fight with Tyron Woodley, Paul hit out at White yet again, claiming “he’s trying to discredit what I’m doing.” When he was asked, “when does this end?” the influencer went on to say: “I think it ends with me running into him in a club in Vegas and knocking him the f*** out.” Not long after, White responded to Jake’s comments. “It actually makes sense. I’m 52 years old, I’m in the age bracket of guys he fights. So yeah, I could see him wanting to fight me.” He went on to say: “Let me tell you what. Get in line. There’s plenty of people that would like to assault me. Get in line. It’s a long f**king line buddy. You’re gonna be waiting for a while. No, it doesn’t bother me. This is the business we’re in. View this post on Instagram “I say this all the time about the fighters too. We are not in the nice guy business. This is a very mean business. • Dana White responds to Jake Paul fight idea to settle beef: “You realize I’m 53?” – Dexerto

Dana White responds to Jake Paul fight idea to settle beef: “You realize I’m 53?” YouTube: GQ/Instagram: Jake PaulDana White has responded to an idea about him potentially fighting Jake Paul at some point, and he’s totally not on board with it. Since getting involved in the fight game, Jake Paul has found himself embroiled in a few different beefs with respected fighters and officials – and that includes the UFC’s very own Dana White. While he has a solid relationship with his brother Logan, White has been quick to downplay Jake’s success in the world of boxing, questioning both his pay-per-view sales and ticket numbers on regular occasions. Jake has, of course, fired his own jabs in with regards to UFC fighter pay and health care. The YouTuber-turned-boxer has expressed interest in getting inside the Octagon too and wants to fight MMA superstar Conor McGregor. Though, some fans would rather see him and Dana settle their score with a fight. Dana White plays down idea of eventual Jake Paul fight However, Dana isn’t exactly on board with that idea. The UFC President was a part of GQ Sports’ Actually Me YouTube series where the question about him and Jake fighting came up. One fan referenced the infamous moment where Dana was going to fight UFC legend Tito Ortiz back in 2007, and suggested that, while that never happened, maybe Dana could fight Jake. “You guys realize I’m 53 years old, right? When I was going to fight Tito, I was 37. I’m 53!” Dana quickly fired back. “Come talk to me when you f**king idiots are 53 years old and tell me if you want to fight some f**king 20-year-old kid. I promise you, you do not.” Timestamp of 1:08 While the idea of a Dana vs Jake fight is a bit outside of the box, the fact he’s already shut it down will annoy some UFC and boxing fans who want to see Dana get his hands on Jake. We’ll just have to settle for them continuing their beef with verbal and online jabs, rather than physical ones.

  • Dana White praises Nate Diaz for performance against Jake Paul: “I’m happy for him” – Dexerto

Dana White praises Nate Diaz for performance against Jake Paul: “I’m happy for him” Esther Lin/Most Valuable PromotionsUFC president Dana White has praised Nate Diaz’s recent boxing performance against Jake Paul, noting that, despite the age and weight class disparities, Diaz put up a formidable fight. “For a kid pushing 40 years old, fighting a guy four weight classes bigger than him in boxing and two in MMA, and going the distance at his age against a 20-something-year-old kid, so far he’s fared the best out of everybody. He looked good. I’m happy for him,” White told media members following an episode of Dana White’s Contender Series. The bout at the American Airlines Center saw the YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul furthering his undefeated streak against MMA fighters. Yet, Dana White’s praise was solely focused on Diaz, who, against the odds, made the contest highly competitive. Paul, a rising figure in boxing, displayed improvements in his boxing on his way to a unanimous decision victory against the former UFC contender. However, Diaz showcased why he’s considered a true warrior in the combat world, bouncing back from adversities, including a fifth-round knockdown, and even cheekily attempting a guillotine choke in the last round. However, not everyone shared White’s positive sentiment. Former UFC champion Conor McGregor slammed both Diaz’s effort and Jake Paul’s performance in a series of now-deleted tweets. In a particularly harsh critique, McGregor posted, “That was abysmal last night. Paul is a re**rd. Absolute garbage he is. Moving backwards like I was watching a fight in rewind. Holy garbage. Embarrassing stuff all around.” Even in light of such criticism, the talk of the town is the potential MMA rematch between Diaz and Paul. Following their recent boxing face-off, Paul voiced his desire to take on Diaz under MMA rules, while Diaz seemed open to the idea, hinting at co-promotion with his outfit, Real Fight Inc. Betting odds for the MMA showdown have already been released, placing Diaz as the clear favorite at -1200 against Paul, the underdog, at +650. However, it remains to be seen if this rematch will happen.

Dana White open to Jake Paul fighting Conor McGregor in UFC, but there’s a big catch YouTube: IMPAULSIVE / Amanda Westcott, SHOWTIME / Conor McGregorUFC president Dana White made a surprise appearance on Logan Paul’s IMPAULSIVE podcast, where he claimed he’s open to the possibility of Jake Paul vs Conor McGregor. The Paul brothers have had a long-standing public feud with UFC prez Dana White, ever since their first bouts in the boxing ring back in 2018. Since then, both YouTubers have made no bones about wanting a turn in the octagon — but White hasn’t exactly been optimistic about the idea, notably claiming the brothers would “get murdered.” However, four years later, it looks like White’s tune has changed, as he made a surprising statement regarding Jake Paul’s long-awaited fight against Irish mixed martial artist Conor McGregor. When asked about his thoughts on the matter, White actually said he was open to the idea… but he isn’t sure it’s actually feasible. “I’m never completely closed off to anything,” White said of the possibility. “I used to say that about things, but I don’t say that anymore. ‘Cause you never know what could happen.” Dana White explains why Jake Paul vs Conor McGregor might not happen Despite being open to the idea, White claims that weight and height are the biggest factors preventing a sanctioned bout between the two fighters. “He shouldn’t even be fighting Conor McGregor,” White continued before asking Logan about Jake’s height and weight. “These guys are f**king huge. He’s huge, his brother is huge. What’s your brother, 6’1, 210? For now, it doesn’t look like a bout between these two stars is in the cards anytime soon… but it seems like everyone involved isn’t completely against the idea.

Dana White laughs off “one-sided” Logan Paul vs Floyd Mayweather bout Instagram: @loganpaul / Wikimedia CommonsDana White commented on Logan Paul’s upcoming exhibition boxing match against Floyd Mayweather, and he believes it’s going to be a “one-sided ridiculous ass-whooping.” Logan Paul shocked the world when he announced that he would step into the ring against Floyd Mayweather. He lost his only professional boxing fight against KSI, who was equally inexperienced. Now, he’s about to take on the greatest boxer in the modern era. Logan has been optimistic but humble about his odds. It’s a stark contrast to his brother, who thinks he can beat Conor McGregor. But while everyone from Joe Rogan to Mike Tyson has shared their thoughts on the fight, none were as harsh as UFC President Dana White. TMZ Sports interviewed Dana and asked him about the fight, and he didn’t hold back. “This is going to be such a one-sided ridiculous ass-whooping, he said. “It’s not even gonna be funny.” “It’s gonna be bad,” he added. “I don’t dislike any one of these kids. But if Floyd Mayweather really shows up and goes in and fights this kid, it’s going to be an ass-whooping like nobody has ever seen before.” “Logan’s gonna find out what speed is,” he said. “Speed is power! When you get hit with sh*t that you don’t see coming and when a guy like Floyd Mayweather starts putting it on you, it’s not even going to be a fight. It’s going to be ridiculous. It’s going to be the worst ass-whooping you’ve ever seen.” To wrap things up, Dana referred to Logan’s height and weight advantage. However, he believes it won’t make a difference. “Take the size difference and all the other things,” he added. “It’s gonna look like what a grown man can do to his kid.” https://twitter.com/defnoodles/status/1353117917122949120?s=21 The exhibition bout between Logan and Floyd is supposed to happen sometime in February 2021. However, a series of cryptic posts has sparked rumors it might have been postponed. Either way, the fight is expected to happen at some point. It will be interesting to see whether Dana’s prediction comes true. After all, it’s the outcome most people expect. However, Logan might have an ace up his sleeve and rise against the odds to cause an upset.

Jake Paul and Dana White have clashed several times over the past year, with Paul attempting to convince White to let him face off with an active UFC fighter, as well as calling him out over how much his athletes are paid. White even issued a challenge to the influencer to reveal his drug-test results, accusing him of being on steroids – claims which Paul firmly denied, saying: “I don’t do steroids. I take it as a compliment.” Jake has been hugely successful with his boxing endeavors, and as well as being named one of the highest-earning YouTubers of 2021, he also claimed to be the highest-earning athlete under the age of 25. Dana White responds to Jake Paul payment claims In an appearance on the Dave Portnoy Show, Dana gave his thoughts on Jake’s sporting endeavors, and explained his reaction to the influencer describing himself as the highest-earning athlete under 25. “I don’t hate Jake Paul,” White began. “I’ve dealt with kids like him for most of my career. You know, this is the kid that’s out there and has created some buzz, and he’s trying to make some money. You know what I mean? You can’t fault the kid for that.” (Topic starts at 1:07:53) When asked whether or not he had been surprised by Jake with his boxing career at any point, White added: “They just came out and said that he’s one of the highest-paid athletes under 25 or something like that. Athletes?” “Do you know how many guys that I know in the gym, and that trainers know in the gym, that if they fought guys 20 years older than them and 20 pounds lighter than them and could create the buzz that this could create? Yeah, they’d be some of the highest-paid athletes under 25 too.” With Paul’s boxing career set to continue, it looks like he will continue to be a hot topic of conversation across the industry.

F**k all of them.’” (Topic begins at 21:40) Rae herself has refused to comment on the situation publicly, even turning away and running back to her car when paparazzi asked her about the outrage. Historically, Rae has denied any accusations of supporting Trump, after fans previously claimed that she had a Trump flag on her bedroom floor in a Twitter photo and even spread around her purported voter registration in a viral TikTok, which she also claimed was fake.

  • Dana White finally gives update on Logan Paul’s UFC ambitions – Dexerto

Dana White finally gives update on Logan Paul’s UFC ambitions YouTube: MMA Fighting/ImPaulsiveUFC boss Dana White has not ruled out the possibility of Logan Paul fighting inside the Octagon, but admitted it’s something he’s not really thinking about. When Logan Paul first swapped his YouTube channel for boxing, he made plenty of plans to conquer the sweet science and become a household name. Though, things have changed since his loss to KSI back in 2019. Logan has boxed again since that defeat, scoring an exhibition draw with Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather, but he’s set his sights on other sports too. After impressing at WrestleMania, the Maverick has signed a deal with the WWE, but he doesn’t just want to stick to professional wrestling. The social media star wants to revisit his amateur wrestling roots by getting involved with the UFC, and has gotten positive responses from Dana White. Though, the UFC boss isn’t actively trying to make fights for him at this stage. Dana White won’t rule out Logan Paul in the UFC Following the UFC’s Fight Night event on Long Island on July 16, the UFC president was quizzed about Logan’s links to the MMA promotion and if there has been any progress on that front. “I like Logan Paul but I just don’t see… I would never say never that ‘oh I would never do that’ but literally every Tuesday I go into matchmaking and we don’t talk about that kind of stuff,” White said, shaking his head throughout. While he was quizzed on potential future fights for other fighters, Dana wasn’t asked any follow-ups on Logan’s situation and left it alone. Timestamp of 13:20 When it comes to getting inside the cage, Logan has let it be known that he’d like to fight Paddy ‘The Baddy’ Pimblett – and there has been some interest from other fighters in wanting to see that happen. Given White’s answer on the subject, it seems unlikely that we’ll see Logan in the Octagon anytime soon, but as Dana says, never say never.

  • Dana White explains why Jake Paul vs Nate Diaz can’t happen yet – Dexerto

Dana White explains why Jake Paul vs Nate Diaz can’t happen yet YouTube: ESPN/Instagram: Jake PaulUFC President Dana White has revealed why Jake Paul won’t be squaring off with Nate Diaz this summer, but admits the fight could happen later down the line. Before it was confirmed that Jake Paul would be fighting Tommy Fury on August 6, plenty of fighters from across boxing and MMA threw their hat into the ring and wanted to challenge Jake. That lengthy list of challengers included the UFC’s Nate Diaz, who took to Twitter to ask for his release from the MMA promotion so that he could fight Jake. Though, that clearly hasn’t happened seeing as Jake is fighting Tommy and not Nate. Even still, it is a fight that has plenty of interest, given Jake and the Stockton native have traded plenty of verbal jabs over the years. And Dana White believes it may happen at some point, just not any time soon. The UFC President appeared on Jim Rome’s ‘Rome’ talk show to preview UFC 276, when he was asked about the status of Nate and whether or not he’d be getting his release to fight Jake. “Listen, he’s (Nate) got one more fight with us and then he can go do whatever he wants to do,” White said, before admitting he’d have “no idea” as to how Jake vs Nate would play out inside the boxing ring. “I have no idea. I could care less, to be honest with you. I don’t (care),” he added, before noting he understands why Nate is interested in fighting Jake. Though, the UFC boss expects Diaz to fulfill his obligations and have one final fight in the Octagon. Timestamp of 5:35 Seeing as White expects Diaz to fight in the UFC one time before potentially moving on to Jake, he can likely be ruled out as a potential replacement should Tommy Fury back out once again. If Jake wins, and Nate fights shortly after, the timelines could match up for a boxing fight between them before the end of the year. Though, we’ll just have to wait and see.

  • Dana White explains why he’ll never work with Jake Paul on a fight – Dexerto

Dana White explains why he’ll never work with Jake Paul on a fight Wikimedia commons: Andrius Petrucenia/YouTube: Jake PaulUFC President Dana White has explained why he’d never do business with Jake Paul as the YouTube star continues to make waves in combat sports, but he’s also not buying the result of the Ben Askren fight. Jake Paul, and his brother Logan, might be all about boxing, but they’ve managed to become tangled with the Dana White. The UFC President has spoken out about the Paul brothers’ involvement with boxing, praising them for getting into the ring, but also criticizing the fights and the claims made about the pay-per-views they’ve sold. He’s gone as far as threatening Jake with legal action for repeatedly calling out UFC fighters and has now dismissed claims that he’ll ever work with the YouTuber on a fight card. Speaking to ESPN ahead of UFC 262, White was quizzed on if he had any interest in working with Jake Paul and if he’d be willing to give a fighter the green light to jump into the boxing ring. “First of all, I would never do business with those guys, just no. It’s not what we do,” White said, talking about a potential crossover. “I’m not gonna f**king loan them a guy, for f**king what? There’s no way. You’ve got plenty of f**king goofballs out there that you can muster up to get in there and play these games that these guys are playing. I’m not your guy. Timestamp of 16:45 The UFC President also had serious doubts about the recent bout between Jake and Ben Askren. “I don’t know if I believe the Ben Askren thing. I have a hard time wrapping my head around that,” he said, noting later that it still blows his mind. White isn’t the only one to dismiss the chance of working with the Paul’s. Boxing icon Mike Tyson said he wouldn’t do it as they’re “nice guys” and he’d rather help them out. Even if the Paul’s are making silly money from their venture into the boxing world, it doesn’t seem like White will ever be swayed.

  • Dana White explains Joe Rogan’s UFC absence following Spotify podcast controversy – Dexerto

Dana White explains Joe Rogan’s UFC absence following Spotify podcast controversy JRE Experience / IG: danawhiteUFC President Dana White has cleared up Joe Rogan’s absence from the broadcast of UFC 271, explaining that the Spotify podcast host has not been removed from his role despite recent controversy. Despite the incredible popularity of his podcast – averaging upwards of 10 million listeners per episode – Joe Rogan has found himself embroiled in controversy of late. Firstly, Rogan’s podcast was accused of “misinformation” and multiple artists asked Spotify to remove their songs from the platform. The saga is thought to have cost Spotify up to $2 billion. Following that, accusations of racism were directed at Rogan after historic clips emerged of him using racist language. The podcast host responded to the clips with a sincere apology. After a no-show on February 12’s UFC 271 event, some fans were concerned Rogan had been removed from his role. UFC President Dana White, though, has explained his absence. Speaking to MMAJunkie, White said: “There was no conflict of schedule. Joe Rogan didn’t work tonight. Joe Rogan could’ve worked tonight. … Yeah, Joe Rogan, I don’t know what Joe Rogan had to do. You guys will have to ask Joe Rogan, but there was no ‘Joe couldn’t work,’ or anything like that. I know that came out. That’s total bullsh*t.” However, while he poured cold water on rumors of conflicting schedule, White confirmed that Rogan would return for future UFC events. “Whenever he’s going to work again, he’ll be working, yeah,” White said. Corroborating White’s comments, the Hollywood Reporter claims that Rogan is confirmed as returning for the next UFC pay-per-view event. According to them, he was simply ‘sitting out’ UFC 271 and a return in the future is guaranteed. It will be good news for fans of Rogan, many of whom have echoed the podcast host’s own comments that the attempts to cancel him have been a ‘political hit job’. UFC 272 is scheduled for 5 March 2022 and is set to take place in Nevada.

  • Dana White discusses Conor McGregor’s next opponent amid Jake Paul challenges – Dexerto

Dana White discusses Conor McGregor’s next opponent amid Jake Paul challenges Jake Paul/Instagram/Andrius Petrucenia/WikimediaUFC boss Dana White has been talking openly about Conor McGregor’s possible next opponent, and despite Jake Paul’s constant challenges to the former champ, it doesn’t sound like the YouTuber is in the picture. Jake Paul has been in a very public back and forth with the UFC President over fighter pay, and has offered himself up for various boxing matches with former champions who made their name in the octagon. One of those has been Conor McGregor, who’s no stranger to stepping into the boxing ring for a fight. In 2017, the Irishman took on the undefeated Floyd Mayweather, who went on to extend his run to 50 fights unbeaten. With the ‘Problem Child’ putting himself firmly in the mix to fight McGregor next, all eyes have turned to UFC chiefs to answer the big question: who’s next for Conor? Dana White eyes up Conor McGregor vs Nate Diaz 3 During an interview on the TMZ Sports TV show, Dane White said: “We’re still working on [the Diaz-Poirier] fight. That fight’s not done yet. I wouldn’t count out a Conor-Nate 3. Listen, I’d be shocked if that fight didn’t happen again.” While he did not mention a timeline during the TV appearance, it would appear that the conclusion of the Conor-Nate Diaz trilogy is firmly in the company’s sights. Whether this rules out a potential bout with Jake Paul any time soon remains to be seen, but it’s been a longstanding point of speculation. McGregor responds to Jake Paul fight challenge On February 25, McGregor responded to Paul’s challenges – and it has not been ruled out. “Who knows?” McGregor said. “Never say never. I didn’t see the Woodley fight. It only did a couple thousand buys. I saw it online. I didn’t hear the diss track on Dana. I don’t pay attention to all of that.” EXCLUSIVE: “”It only did a couple of thousand buys – I wasn’t watching!””@TheNotoriousMMA didn’t hold back when asked about @JakePaul’s brutal KO win over Tyron Woodley Read more from our chat with Conor from #BellatorDublin tonight: https://t.co/QQxdoaWVV7 @BellatorMMA pic.twitter.com/0GiAD5brSx — Mirror Fighting (@MirrorFighting) February 25, 2022 In Summer 2021, the former Ultimate Fighting Championship featherweight and lightweight double-champion branded both Paul brothers “dingbats” and said he would be open to fighting them in the future. With McGregor fighting Nate Diaz last in August 2016 and the score set at one apiece, there’s clearly a score to be settled there.

  • Dana White defends Joe Rogan and says he can’t be canceled amid backlash – Dexerto

Dana White defends Joe Rogan and says he can’t be canceled amid backlash Spotify: Joe Rogan/YouTube: FULL SENDUFC President Dana White believes Joe Rogan cannot be ‘canceled’ even despite all of the controversy surrounding his Joe Rogan Experience podcast. While the Joe Rogan Experience podcast may have started all the way back in 2009, it’s grown to be the biggest podcast in the world over the last few years – with Spotify making the show exclusive to them in a $100 million deal. Some fans of Rogan, and outsiders, suggested that the move would mean a slight move away from some of the more controversial topics that he’s covered. Though, that has noted happened, and Spotify CEO Daniel Ek stated that they wouldn’t censor his show. Calls for censoring some topics have reignited recently, with Rogan coming under fire from medical professionals. However, his boss on the UFC side of things – Dana White – believes trying to cancel the podcast host is a bit of a fool’s endeavor. The UFC President appeared on the NELK Boys’ FULL SEND Podcast on January 21, discussing his feud with Jake Paul and some future fights in the UFC. As he bigged up the YouTube collective for their podcast growth, the focus switched to Rogan’s show and the attempts to ‘cancel’ him in recent weeks and months. “You’re not canceling Rogan. And the thing is with Rogan, he’s a brilliant guy, does his homework, and he knows what he’s talking about,” White started. “And guess what? This is f**king America. You can have your own opinion about these things, and you can voice them, that’s what this f**king country was built on. And all these little whiny f**king p**sies that don’t like it, too f**king bad. Too bad, who cares?” Timestamp of 43:25 The UFC boss stated that he doesn’t think Spotify will “crack” to any public pressure either, seeing as they’ve already given him a huge deal. Despite the repeated controversies, the move has proven to be a solid one for Spotify, to this point, as Rogan’s show has brought in millions of users and regularly leads the way as the most popular podcast.

  • Dana White counteroffers Jake Paul’s Jorge Masvidal UFC bet: “Fight Anderson Silva” – Dexerto

Dana White counteroffers Jake Paul’s Jorge Masvidal UFC bet: “Fight Anderson Silva” Amanda Wescott/SHOWTIME/Instagram/spiderandersonsilvaUFC boss Dana White has rejected a massive fight wager from YouTuber Jake Paul that would have seen him duke it out with Jorge Masvidal while Amanda Serrano fought Amanda Nunes. Jake Paul has taken the boxing world by storm in recent months, earning victories against mixed martial artists Ben Askren and Tyron Woodley. In his rise to combat sports stardom, he has been a constant pain for Dana White, actively challenging fighters under contract with UFC and taking issue with MMA fighter pay. After making White an offer to let Masvidal fight him under the condition that, if he lost, he would stop challenging UFC talent, the internet was curious to see what Dana’s response would be. Unfortunately for Paul, it wasn’t exactly what he had in mind. In an interview with The Daily Telegraph, White rejected the offer and instead suggested that Paul fight “someone his own size,” with that someone being ‘The Spider,’ Anderson Silva. Dana White rejects Jake Paul’s Masvidal-Nunes bet “Masvidal’s 170 pounds. [Jake] likes 170-pounders. Go fight somebody your own size. Anderson Silva’s not under contract, he’s 46 years old; that’s the age group you love to fight. And he’s your size and he’s actually winning fights,” White blasted. According to Dana, both Jake and his brother Logan have a tendency of fighting “washed up older guys” to secure easy wins, although Logan’s fight against Floyd Mayweather ended in a draw due to exhibition rules. “Anderson Silva has actually been boxing, he’s won some fights, he’s 46 years old, and he’s in your weight class. There you go. That’s a no-brainer. Fight Anderson Silva,” he added. Plus, Dana added, a fight between Paul and Silva could do big numbers, calling it a “viable” fight. Amusingly though, White did have some strong praise for Paul, saying that The Problem Child should be paid more by Showtime. “Showtime needs f**king Jake Paul. Their f**king fights are pulling 70K viewers for Christ’s sake. I could take a picture of my fucking big toe and put it on Instagram and more would see that than a Showtime fight,” he claimed. “So whatever they’re f**king paying him, it’s probably not enough. They probably need to pay him more. They need that f**king guy.” Will Jake Paul fight Anderson Silva? As for a fight against Anderson Silva, while the 46-year-old has expressed interest in fighting either of the Paul bros, Jake has said that the fight would be “lose-lose” for him. “If I was to fight Anderson Silva, everyone would just be like ‘oh it’s just another old guy’ when I beat him, so it’s kinda like a lose-lose situation,” he said on MMA Fight Hour with Ariel Helwani. That said, The Spider is still an option and is on a shortlist of fighters he could be duking it out with next. Only time will tell if we end up getting a fight between Jake and Silva, but it seems like a date with Jorge Masvidal is off the table for the time being.

  • Dana White claims former boxing champion Claressa Shields could KO Jake Paul – Dexerto

Dana White claims former boxing champion Claressa Shields could KO Jake Paul Instagram: Jake Paul / Wikimedia CommonsUFC President Dana White claims former boxing champion and Olympian Claressa Shields could knock out Jake Paul after he roasted her for losing her first mixed-martial-arts bout. Jake Paul has been a wanted man ever since he beat former UFC superstars Ben Askren and Tyron Woodley. Everyone from Jorge Masvidal to Floyd Mayweather has been linked to a potential fight against him. Claressa Shields, who is a three-time division world champion and two-time Olympic gold medalist in boxing, also issued a challenge. She claimed she’d “whoop his ass” and was even willing to spar against him. Jake wasn’t impressed with her comments. However, he waited until she had her first MMA loss to roast her. It didn’t sit well with Dana White, though. Not only did he back her, but he also claimed she’d knock him out. Jake Paul roasts Claressa Shields after MMA loss Jake roasted Shields on social media after she lost to Abigail Montes at PFL 10 via split decision. “The truth hurts, but it’s necessary. Claressa Shields is a loser. In MMA, and even more so with her prima donna attitude,” he wrote. “The fake always get exposed. Losses come when anger and hate take over. Just ask Rousey and McGregor. She spent more time berating Jake Paul than learning Jiu-Jitsu. She’s never been a big draw, and unfortunately for her, she never will be.” I love karma @Claressashields, Congrats Abigail Montes! Someone get her a Twitter! pic.twitter.com/gRTqKLZt8A — Jake Paul (@jakepaul) October 28, 2021 Claressa Shields claps back on social media Shields clapped back on Twitter shortly after. “This is funny. You come running when I lose a split decision in a whole new world but never even once said congrats on all you’ve done and aspire to do,” she said. “Two things that remain, Jake,” she added. “I still fight better than you, and you won’t accomplish 10% of what I have in boxing or life. Unlike Jake, I fought a real MMA fighter. He has yet to face a real boxer in boxing.” Dana White claims Shields will KO Jake In an interview with MMA Fighting, Dana White was asked to weigh in on the situation. He said Shields is a “winner” compared to a “goofball” like Jake and insisted that she’d knock him out in a heartbeat if they met. “He better be careful. She might knock him out,” he said. “Claressa Shields is nothing but a winner who actually fought real people in her weight class in her own age in her own sport. Then goes over to MMA and tries to win a world title. That’s not a loser. That’s a winner, okay? “When are you gonna start fighting somebody your own f*cking age, your own weight, that actually fights in your own f*cking sport that you’re claiming you’re in? Shut the f*ck up, you goofball. “For you to call Claressa Shields a loser is f*cking unbelievable.” Jake Paul thanks Dana White for promoting him The drama didn’t end there, though. Jake responded to White’s comments, saying, “Dana White loves promoting my fights for free. Thank you. Maybe this is why Dana loves Conor McGregor so much. Because he always loses.” Read More: Is Jake Paul boxing Tommy Fury? – He also pointed out that he is fighting someone his own age and within the same code by taking on Tommy Fury in December 2021. “We’re basically the same age, same height, same reach, and the same weight!” Dana White loves promoting my fights for free.. thank you @danawhite pic.twitter.com/OGKBhduiMK — Jake Paul (@jakepaul) October 30, 2021 The feud between Jake and White started back in January 2021 when the UFC President dubbed him a “gimmick boxer.” The two have been butting heads ever since. Jake told White to pay his fighters more money, called him a “bald bum,” and even threatened to “knock him out.” Meanwhile, White threatened legal action, claimed he’d never work with Jake, and told him to “get in line” if he wants to knock him out.

  • Dana White claims Jake Paul is lying about PPV numbers for Ben Askren fight – Dexerto

Dana White claims Jake Paul is lying about PPV numbers for Ben Askren fight Triller Fight Club/YouTube: UFCUFC president Dana White claimed that Jake Paul’s pay-per-view numbers from the Ben Askren fight are “full of s**t” and not even close to what actually happened. Jake Paul’s dive into the boxing world might have started with YouTubers like Deji and AnEsonGib, but he’s gone wildly beyond that since. He’s beaten Nate Robinson and Ben Askren with some pretty vicious knockouts. The YouTube star has even sights on bigger things too, calling out UFC icon Conor McGregor, but that’s landed him in hot water with Dana White. The longtime UFC president has continually played down the Paul’s venture into the fight game, even threatening Jake with legal action if he continued calling out UFC fighters. Now though, he’s also doubting their pay-per-view numbers. Following the win over Ben Askren, which took over the internet on April 18, Jake claimed that the PPV did 1.3 million buys, resulting in around “$65 million” being generated from the fight. That would make it one of the most successful pay-per-view events in a long time. However, speaking after UFC 261, Dana White wasn’t buying what Jake has been selling. “The numbers that you’re hearing that they did are full of s**t. They’re full of s**t,” White said following UFC 261 when asked if he’d have any interest in working with Jake. “They didn’t pull those kinds of numbers at all. Not even f**king close.” While the UFC prez tipped his cap to the YouTuber for making some money, he reiterated his stance on not believing him a few questions later in his press conference. “I don’t believe anything they say. That’s a f**king circus. None of that’s real. You think any of that s**t that’s going on over there is real?” he added, also calling it a “freakshow.” Timestamp of 6:30 It seems as if any hopes fans might have of seeing the two working together are pretty much dashed, given White also said neither of the Paul brothers would be stepping into the octagon. Though, Jake did get booed for attending UFC 261. Logan has expressed interest in MMA before, seeing as he used to be a wrestler, but Jake hasn’t done so, and looks set to stick with boxing. His eventual response to the UFC president will be interesting, especially if he’s got receipts to disprove his claims.

  • Dana White admits Nate Diaz & Jake Paul should fight next: “That makes sense” – Dexerto

Dana White admits Nate Diaz & Jake Paul should fight next: “That makes sense” YouTube: TheMacLife / Instagram: JakePaulDespite recent and rather public contract disputes, UFC President Dana White actually agrees that MMA legend Nate Diaz should be pushing for a fight with Jake Paul next. Following on from his devastating knockout of Tyron Woodley, Paul has locked in his boxing return for August 6. However, the upcoming PPV at Madison Square Garden is yet to confirm a dance partner for the social media star. While various comments have pointed towards the likes of Tommy Fury once again, and even a potential clash with Mike Tyson, nothing has yet been made official. Thus, many are still throwing their name out in hopes of securing a big payday. One such name is none other than the Stockton slapper himself, Nate Diaz. Currently bound to his existing UFC contract, it doesn’t appear Diaz is in a position to make the fight happen. Though even the company’s President has now admitted such a bout between the younger Diaz and Paul brothers would “make sense”. Ufc release now please or give me fight with anyone in July or august I have bigger shit to do pic.twitter.com/xyYSCBysLs— Nathan Diaz (@NateDiaz209) June 21, 2022 Having asked for his release just 24 hours prior on social media, Diaz implied that he had “bigger sh*t to do” than wait around for one last UFC fight to be made. In an appearance on TheMacLife YouTube channel, White directly responded to the callout, acknowledging the idea and even agreeing with it, despite his unwillingness to let it happen. “Dealing with Nate is always… interesting,” he said. “I don’t know what we’re gonna do.” Without releasing Diaz from his contract, White explained that he’s required to offer him one last fight in the UFC. Whether Diaz accepts, however, is anyone’s guess. “I like Nate but let’s be honest, Nate’s won one fight in the last five or six years,” White continued. “When these guys get into these positions, guys that have been with us for a long time, you want to be fair to everybody, you want to do the right things. Nate Diaz isn’t going to come in and fight Kamaru Usman.” Instead of positioning the veteran for a fight near the top of the Welterweight division, White seemingly has other ideas in mind. In fact, he even admitted a boxer of Paul’s skill level would be appropriate for Nate’s next bout. “He probably should go on and fight Jake Paul. That’s a fight that makes sense.” Having made rare exceptions in the past for super-fights outside of the UFC, including McGregor vs Mayweather, there’s always a chance we see White and Diaz come to terms on a deal for a Paul fight. After all, the UFC President has certainly been open to the idea of working with the Paul brothers. Moreover, Jake has even offered to take the Diaz fight for free if that’ll get it over the line. For now though, there’s no telling exactly how it might pan out. We’ll just have to wait and see who fills the spot on Paul’s August 6 card.

  • Dana White admits Jake Paul UFC fight “could happen” amid Conor McGregor rumors – Dexerto

Dana White admits Jake Paul UFC fight “could happen” amid Conor McGregor rumors YouTube: The Pivot/SecondsOutUFC boss Dana White admits having Jake Paul fight inside the Octagon is “intriguing” as he won’t completely close the door on having the social media star make the jump into MMA. Even though Jake Paul has one eye on becoming a boxing great, and an eventual world champ, the YouTuber-turned-boxer has also made it clear that he wants to get involved with Mixed Martial Arts. The 25-year-old who has a background in amateur wrestling, and has already proven his striking power inside the boxing ring, has spoken of his desire to step inside the Octagon previously. As a result, he’s had an ongoing war of words with UFC President Dana White. While dana was reluctant to say whether or not he’d have Jake join the UFC ranks, at least for one fight, he has stated that he’d “never say never” given the fact that he promoted Conor McGregor’s boxing bout with Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather. The 52-year-old joined The Pivot Podcast on May 3 when the topic of having the Paul brothers get involved with the UFC was brought up again, and Dana admitted that it is an interesting proposition. “He wants to fight here because this is where the money is, regardless of what he says,” Dana said, referring to Jake’s ongoing campaign to improve fighter pay. “I would never say never, I don’t know. I look at it sometimes and it’s kind of intriguing, but it kind of goes against what I do. I really do bring the best of the best in. And I’ve tried to do a couple of those celebrity things with some WWE guys. Some worked, some didn’t, but I wouldn’t say no. I did Mayweather-McGregor when I said I would never do it, so who knows.” Timestamp of 42:40 As noted, Dana’s stance has continued to soften over time, with Jake even claiming that the UFC boss will eventually give his blessing and book him in a fight. Right now, though, Jake’s focus is on a return to boxing as he’s getting back into the ring on August 13. Who he’ll take on is anyone’s guess at this point, however.

  • Dana White “admires” Jake Paul despite heated feud over UFC pay – Dexerto

Dana White “admires” Jake Paul despite heated feud over UFC pay Instagram: Dana White/Jake PaulDana White apparently has a soft spot for Jake Paul and “admires” the YouTuber-turned-boxer, though, he is unlikely to admit it according to UFC coach Javier Mendez. Ever since he first stepped into the fight game, Jake Paul has gone after some of the biggest names in both the boxing world as well as those in the UFC. While he’s traded verbal jabs with many fighters, his most heated feud has been with UFC boss Dana White. Jake and Dana have gone back and forth on a number of things, including the raging debate on UFC fighter pay and healthcare, as well as just how many pay-per-views that Jake’s fights have sold. While Dana has somewhat distanced himself from the feud recently, he apparently “admires” the work that Jake has been putting in, but he’s unlikely to ever admit it in public. That’s according to Khabib Nurmagomedov’s trainer Javier Mendez, who also believes Jake could beat Conor McGregor if the pair ever got inside the boxing ring. Mendez, who was speaking to Betway, stated that Dana is a “mastermind” of creating hype and interest, and that’s exactly what’s been going on between himself and Jake. “If it makes business sense for Dana then he’ll do it. Dana is a mastermind of creating news in the media, he’s a master at it,” Mendez said. “Even the thing with Jake Paul, you know he has his war with Jake Paul, but behind closed doors, he actually admires the kid and respects how he goes about getting attention.” As noted, White has distanced himself from the feud with Jake in recent weeks, but admitted that he’d “never say never” when it comes to possibly linking up with the social media star. Dana will probably never admit to liking Jake as way to keep things going, but it at least appears as if he’s softened his anti-Paul stance and people have noticed.

Dana White accuses Misfits of being “lying motherf**kers” over Prime Card PPV sales FULL SEND / PRIMEUFC President Dana White has accused KSI’s Misfits Boxing of lying about their pay-per-view buy numbers with the recent Prime Card. The Prime Card was one of the biggest influencer boxing events we’ve seen to date. Not only did we see KSI go blow-for-blow with Love Island star and professional boxer Tommy Fury — who handed Jake Paul his first loss earlier in 2023 — but also Logan Paul’s long-awaited return to boxing. ‘The Maverick’ stepped in the ring with MMA fighter Dillon Danis, who before the fight sent shots at Paul’s newly engaged fiance Nina Adgal, with the fight ultimately ending in chaos and a brawl between the two camps in the ring. It’s fair to say the event was action-packed, where according to reports the Prime Card sold a staggering 1.3 million PPV buys, making it DAZN’s biggest show of the year so far. However, UFC President Dana White has accused Misfits Boxing of lying about the numbers. Dana White accuses Misfits of lying about Prime Card PPV sales In a recent FULL SEND podcast on November 28, the UFC CEO hit back at the alleged 1.3 million pay-per-view buys that the Prime Card sold. “Let me tell you this, let me tell you how hard it is to sell 1.3 million pay-per-view buys. If you did sell 1.3, if you sold f**king 700k pay-per-view buys they’d be putting on 10 fights per year,” he said. “When you hear those kind of numbers fly around in the pay-per-view world, they’re lying motherf**kers, don’t ever believe that sh*t.” He added: “Do you know how much fucking money that is? Dan Bilzerian’s Ignite Twitch stream banned after half-naked model attempts $30,000 treadmill challenge Twitch: IgniteThe Twitch account of Dan Bilzerian’s cannabis-selling company, Ignite, appears to have been suspended following a stream where a number of Instagram models took on an almost impossible challenge wearing Ignite merchandise for the chance of winning up to $30,000. Dan Bilzerian, who has labelled himself as the ‘King of Instagram’ in the past, grew to fame when he started uploading pictures to his account showing off the lavish lifestyle he enjoys. The multi-millionaire, who claims that he made his money playing in poker tournaments, regularly uploads pictures of himself driving fast cars, hanging out with models in bikinis, and more recently has been promoting Ignite, his new business venture which sells marijuana and CBD products from an online store, and a number of dispensaries in the California area. To help promote the brand, Dan Bilzerian has labelled his California mansion as the ‘Ignite House’, where the Ignite Girls – a number of popular Instagram models – hang out, with Bilzerian himself regularly live streaming what’s going on at the house. On his Monday, May 6 “workout” Twitch stream, the American announced a new challenge that the Ignite Girls would be taking part in, with Bilzerian offering cash to anyone who could complete a one mile run on a treadmill in under five minutes. First to attempt the challenge was Kinsey Sue, who had been taking part in the workout stream. When Bilzerian offered her an incredible $30,000 reward if she was able to perform the sub-five minute mile, Sue changed out of her fitness gear and into an Ignite-branded bikini, before unsuccessfully taking on the challenge. Alex Abbate was then challenged to perform the same task, with Bilzerian promising $5,000 if she was able to succeed. Again wearing an Ignite-brand bikini, the camera operator panned around a clearly-struggling Abbate, commenting that he was “getting a better angle.” As many on Reddit have noted, the challenge is nearly impossible to complete by an average person, with the fastest mile ran by a woman standing at 4:12 back in 1996 – a record which has been unchallenged ever since. Why was Bilzerian’s Ignite Twitch account banned? While neither Bilzerian or Ignite have commented on why their Twitch channel has been suspended, users on Reddit believe that they have been punished for breaking the website’s rules on sexually suggestive or explicit content. With the women appearing in tiny bikinis to complete the challenge, it’s possible that Twitch decided to shut down the page temporarily, as this kind of content is against the company’s Terms of Service. Due to the channel and the clips associated with this stream being unavailable due to the suspension, it’s impossible to verify if any other rules were broken throughout the duration of the broadcast. Neither Twitch nor Bilzerian have revealed how long the account will be suspended for, but it’s likely that they will face at least a seven day ban for breaking the site’s rules, meaning the earliest they will be back is probably Tuesday, May 14.

  • Dan Bilzerian will give you $50,000 if you help him find his $1m watch – Dexerto

Dan Bilzerian will give you $50,000 if you help him find his $1m watch Instagram/danbilzerianPopular influencer and poker player Dan Bilzerian is offering a $50,000 reward to anyone who can find his very expensive watch that he claims was stolen right off his wrist. Dan Bilzerian is one of the biggest Instagram stars, frequently seen partying it up with models, sailing the seas on boats, and shooting plenty of guns. If there’s one thing thought to be more valuable than fame and fortune, it’s time. And unfortunately for Dan, he lost the ability to tell time when his watch was allegedly stolen at the Canelo Alvarez vs. Caleb Plant fight. According to TMZ, the social media star’s Richard Mille, worth as much as $1m, went missing from his wrist sometime during the fight and he filed a police report later that night. While the cops are going to try to find it, Dan himself is offering up a reward for anyone who can provide information resulting in the watch’s safe return. TMZ also claims that Dan didn’t have the watch insured, and the arena wasn’t able to pull any footage from where he believes the watch was taken when he was taking photos with fans. He believes that the money incentive could be enough to get someone to come forward, especially if the potential thief was caught on a fan’s video. Until then, if you spot an expensive Richard Mille watch somewhere in Las Vegas, chances are it could belong to Bilzerian.

  • D’Amelio sisters, Chase Hudson and Noah Beck among attendees of illegal party – Dexerto

D’Amelio sisters, Chase Hudson and Noah Beck among attendees of illegal party Instagram: charlidamelio/ Instagram: lilhuddy/ Instagram: noahbeckSeveral members of the Hype House were caught attending a party over the weekend hosted by Instagram influencer Kelsey Calemine, known better by her Instagram name FatherKels. Dixie D’Amelio, Charlie D’Amelio and Chase Hudson were among several high profile stars who broke current California guidelines over partying to attend the bash. As pointed out by on Twitter by DefNoodles, these stars’ attendance at this party is against the law in their state, because it can be defined as a “gathering”. For California, “gatherings are defined as meetings or other events that bring together people from different households at the same time in a single space, or place”. In this current health crisis, California deems gatherings to be too risky because “when people from different households mix, this increases the risk of transmission”. https://twitter.com/defnoodles/status/1309586153411026944 The current advice, which was issued by the Californian Department of Public Health on 12 September, is that “gatherings unless otherwise specified are not permitted across the state of California”. This comes after the LA Times suggested that California can expect to see an 89% rise in cases of the illness come October, which caused DefNoodles to quip that we should thank “influencers who are at the front of the […] spreading movement.” https://twitter.com/defnoodles/status/1309659781376827393 However, it wasn’t just DefNoodles who had strong opinions on the subject. Disgruntled fans made their feelings known in a series of online comments directed to the D’Amelio sisters. One user pointed out that they “PREACH social distancing but [then] go out all the time and go to parties [sic]”, whilst a user on Twitter suggested that “they are just doing it for attention at this point”. It isn’t surprising that fans are confused by these stars’ behaviour. After all, back in March, Charli D’Amelio went viral after debuting the ‘distance dance’ challenge on TikTok, with caused her to amass a lot of praise for “using her massive community to do good”. With a lot of fans getting mixed messages over Charli D’Amelio’s behaviour especially, one Twitter user summed it up as follows: “If she’s gonna preach about social distancing, she should take her own advice, simple as that.” What makes it worse is that shortly after the party, host Kelsey Calemine posted an Instagram story of her getting tested for illness. Although pictures from the party show a lot of the attendees wearing masks, this does raise the question of whether the illness was spread further during the party. Other high-profile attendees at the party include Sway House member Noah Beck, singer Madison Beer, DJ Chantel Jefferies, NBA player Blake Griffin and model Winnie Harlow. They are yet to respond to this backlash.

  • D’Amelio family pledges to donate $300k winnings from Mr Beast’s Creator Games – Dexerto

D’Amelio family pledges to donate $300k winnings from Mr Beast’s Creator Games YouTube: The D’Amelio FamilyTikTok queen Charli D’Amelio and her family have chosen to donate the $3,000 they received after winning YouTuber Mr Beast’s Creator Games back in October — a victory that led to major drama in the influencer community. Charli D’Amelio is TikTok’s most-followed content creator, boasting over 104 million followers on the viral video app alongside sister Dixie and their parents, Heidi and Marc D’Amelio. While the family is generally drama-free, they found themselves at the center of online controversy after winning Mr Beast’s Creator Games in October, scoring a jaw-dropping $300,000 for their fans in the process. However, many critics accused the D’Amelio’s of cheating, referring to moments during the broadcast where Dixie appeared to be looking at her phone for answers to the Games’ trivia questions or claiming that the girls’ parents looked up the answers for them (who had initially not been invited to participate). Now, nearly three months later, the D’Amelio’s have revealed what they plan to do with their huge winnings, as announced during a short video on December 28. In the video, the TikTok royalty stated that they would be donating the cash directly to subscribers of their family YouTube channel over the course of January. This means that, over the upcoming 30 days of January, one lucky subscriber of the D’Amelio Family will receive $10,000 each day — not a bad deal, right? Happy Holidays! To kick off 2021, we are giving away the $300k from winning Mr. Beast’s Creator Games. This family just seems completely insincere. lol Mind you, whoever does their PR clearly gets a win for this announcement because that’s going to buy them a solid month of good graces from the public.— #MillennialLifeCrisis (@veefourthree) December 28, 2020 I’m aware. It seems that the scandal hasn’t completely blown over just yet, as the group continues to face heavy speculation in the midst of their announcement, despite their sincere attempt to “start 2021 on the right foot.”

  • Dakotaz snaps at viewer claiming he “turned into a kid’s channel” – Dexerto

Dakotaz snaps at viewer claiming he “turned into a kid’s channel” Popular Twitch streamer Brett ‘Dakotaz‘ Hoffman hit back at a viewer accusing him of changing his 3.7 million-followers strong channel into a ‘kid’s channel’ – a label he clearly resented. Despite rarely showing his face and streaming only one game almost exclusively, Dakotaz has attracted a massive audience, doing so while avoiding controversy and drama. He lets his gameplay do the talking for him, and says he chooses not to use a facecam so that viewers can be more ‘immersed’ in the action, but one viewer apparently took issue with Dakotaz style of streaming. On May 20, Dakotaz noticed a chatter had suggested that his content was now kid friendly, as though it were a negative, which bemused the streamer, asking “I’m curious, how has our channel turned into a ‘kid’s channel’?” “Where’s your logic [for that]? I don’t understand it bro,” Hoffman continued, clearly insulted by the suggestion, “What do you mean I’m a kid’s channel bro? “How about you shut your bitch ass up – is that ‘kid’ enough for you bro? Stop trying to tell me what my channel is, you don’t even understand Twitch.” It’s not the first time that Dakotaz has taken a no-nonsense approach to negative viewers in his chat, previously bemoaning the wave of ‘entitlement’ which is so common on the platform, especially with young viewers. When another fan accused him of ‘near criminal behavior’, simply because he streamed Apex Legends, recommended it to viewers, and then went back to Fortnite Battle Royale, he told the viewer in question to “go screw yourself”. He may have lost a viewer or two in the process, but his attitude has gained him plenty more along the way. He’s never afraid to speak his mind and be honest, even with his own fanbase.

  • Dakotaz reports teammate after sick joke about shooting up a school – Dexerto

Dakotaz reports teammate after sick joke about shooting up a school YouTube: DakotazPopular Twitch streamer Brett ‘Dakotaz‘ Hoffman was forced to report a random teammate in Fortnite to Epic Games and authorities, after the player made ‘jokes’ alluding to committing a school shooting. Playing with random teammates in Fortnite can be a risky business, and even more so for streamers, with trolls always ready to say something out of line. Many streamers have had the misfortune of random teammates making racist or sexist remarks, even joking about rape – but Dakotaz’ encountered an even more sinister troll during his June 26 broadcast. The player in question was explaining to Hoffman that he experienced bullying in school, although it was difficult to determine if he was being sincere. After Dakotaz expressed that he “was sorry to hear that”, the player responded “I’ll get through it, either that or I am going to go there and ‘double pump’ them” – referring to the ‘pump’ shotgun in Fortnite. Replying “I don’t like that kind of talk”, Dakotaz quickly mutes the player, before expressing concern to his viewers. After his initial shock, the streamer decided that it would be best to just report the player, first to developer Epic Games, and later says he will also report them to ‘authorities.’ “I’m actually reporting your name to people right now, because that’s actually criminal to say,” Dakotaz explains, with the random player simply responding, “that’s ok”. Having reported the player to Epic, Hoffman confirms that he will also report it to authorities: “This is no joking matter. He’s going to learn [that you can’t say things like that].” Although it’s likely the player was only making the comments in an attempt to be edgy, Dakotaz was clearly not amused, and took the opportunity to make sure none of his viewers thought such jokes were ‘funny’ either.

Dakotaz explains why he’s taking break from social media but not Twitch YouTube: DakotazTwitch superstar Brett ‘Dakotaz’ Hoffman has announced on Twitter that he will be taking a break from social media until further notice. In recent weeks, Tweets from Dakotaz implied that social media was having an effect on his health leading up to this break. On November 18 he tweeted, “I sucked at posting stories on Instagram and now I’m getting anxiety about keeping up with Fleets.” Then, on December 4, he said, “I have a gift of letting people down. My health and my stream is just a massive importance to me in my life.” https://twitter.com/dakotaz/status/1334732535750926336?s=20 In another tweet on Tuesday, December 8, Dokataz explained that he would be leaving his social accounts for a while to focus on his mental health, and adding that he will still continue to stream to the relief of his fans. He wrote, “Turning my phone off for a few months. my socials are going to be empty. going to just try to focus on my health and streams. see ya on the other side. https://twitter.com/dakotaz/status/1336332708528590856 Fans and fellow streamers leaped to his side in the comments below the tweet. You’re amazing Dk!” and another adding, “We love you always dk, take all the time you need. we will be here when you return.” Dakotaz has made comments about his health in the past. In September, Dakotaz thanked his fans for their support after revealing that he was still struggling after going through a break up three years ago. • Dakotaz explains why he’ll be showing his face more on stream – Dexerto

Dakotaz explains why he’ll be showing his face more on stream Elusive Fortnite star Brett ‘Dakotaz’ Hoffman gave a long-anticipated follow-up reveal of his face during his January 7 broadcast – and explained why this time, it could be here to stay. Dakotaz has over four million followers on Twitch – a feat not to be scoffed at, especially considering he’s one of a handful of big streamers who can get away with no-cam broadcasts while still retaining huge view counts. Longtime fans will remember the streamer’s brief facetime in 2018 after hitting one million subscribers, but many of his fans have since gone without an update – while some newer viewers had never laid eyes on the personality. But the streamer is “evolving” his channel in 2020, making it the perfect time to give subs, followers and lurkers alike a peek into the next stage of his streams. “I’m going to be chilling at the end of my streams,” Dakotaz said. “Just bringing something different to my stream. I’m trying to evolve my stream, constantly. I just feel like my stream was kind of getting stale a bit…” Fans immediately poured into the channel as word started getting around that Dakotaz was happily streaming with a cam on. Over 8,000 people stuck around for Dakotaz while he was taking a slower, more chat-oriented approach to his content. The change of pace will usher in a more intimate segment during his regular broadcasts; his goal is to have a “hybrid” structure, where one part is the no-cam gaming that fans know and love, while the other will be a facecam hangout with viewers, eventually dipping into IRL streams. “I don’t want to sit comfortably throughout life,” he continued. “I want to push [myself]. When I turned off my cam, it pushed me into another direction, and now I’m just going to become a hybrid; when I play video games, I’m going to use no-cam like always, but when I’m just hanging out with you guys I just want you guys to see what I look like now.” Growing one of the most successful Fortnite streams in all of Twitch, Dakotaz is looking to be more than just a voiceover streamer, instead pushing himself to expand his broadcasts. His no-cam approach to streaming was to help viewers become more immersed in the gameplay, helping his fans to “feel like [they’re] there,” according to his Feb 12 YouTube video. That won’t change, as his glorious mug will only make an appearance after the gaming portion of his stream is all said and done.

  • Dakotaz calls Ninja hate “ridiculous” following viral WIRED video – Dexerto

Dakotaz calls Ninja hate “ridiculous” following viral WIRED video Top Twitch streamer went to number one on YouTube’s trending page thanks to a video with WIRED, where he answered the most googled questions about him, but the video almost has as many dislikes as likes. Fellow streamer Brett ‘Dakotaz’ Hoffman was surprised to see how much negativity the rather innocuous video was receiving, calling it ‘ridiculous’. In the video, Ninja simply discusses his career as a streamer, his history as a gamer and some general knowledge queries about himself, in the ‘autocomplete interview’ – which uses google’s autocomplete system to find the most googled questions about him. Other guests on the WIRED Autocomplete Interview series have included YouTuber David Dobrik, Bella Thorne, Kevin Hart and many more of the world’s most famous people, but none have received the amount of dislikes as Ninja’s episode. At the time of writing, Ninja’s WIRED video has amassed 3.2 million views, 106,000 likes and 76,000 dislikes, in only 18 hours. It means it is the most disliked iteration of the Autocomplete Interviews yet, and Dakotaz can’t understand it: “I feel like people outside of Fortnite just thumbs down because it has to do with Fortnite, the mainstream, or his face showing up in the YT rewind.” Imagine 39k people disliking a gamer breaking boundaries for all of us The @Ninja hate is ridiculous; it doesn’t even seem real. I feel like people outside of Fortnite just thumbs down because it has to do with Fortnite, the mainstream, or his face showing up in the YT rewind. pic.twitter.com/dNkMYQSQPc — dakotaz (@dakotaz) December 27, 2018 As the most popular Fortnite streamer, Ninja is no stranger to hate, even from within the Fortnite community itself. But the negativity towards this video is more peculiar, given there is nothing controversial about it at all. Previously Ninja has been in some hot water over threatening to have a Fortnite opponent banned for stream sniping, even though he had no proof of it, but the community has largely forgiven him for this mistake and moved on. However, Ninja isn’t having it, and during his broadcast called out Dakotaz for trashing the game on Twitter on December 19, arguing that players like him and Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney are doing damage with their comments. Dakotaz slams Ninja for calling him out The whole exchange started when Dakotaz asked his followers on Twitter to change his mind on his feeling that Fortnite is “hot garbage” in its current state. However, Ninja jumped into the debate, and replied that he “could always play another game.” The Mixer star also tagged Tfue in the post, reigniting comments he made about him in early December where he took issues with the streamer saying the game was “dying”, even going on to argue that the comments were “damaging” to the battle royale. The former Team SoloMid star quickly responded back, exclaiming that he would play something else, but that “other games put me to sleep.” The conversation between the two streaming giants didn’t end there, as Ninja was in the middle of a broadcast with Ben ‘DrLupo’ Lupo, when he saw Dakotaz reply on social media, and had some choice words for him. “So he replies “I could but other games put me to sleep.” So now I want to reply, “so stop sh*tting on the only game that you enjoy!”,” he said, before he told his friend, “he’s one of the only influencers that doesn’t think he’s an influencer!” The Mixer star then stated, “DK if this is the only game that doesn’t put you to sleep, and you think it’s hot sh*t, maybe don’t talk sh*t about it to your entire audience!” When someone in his stream chat posted a comment about hating the game, he snapped, “You are so f*cking stupid if you think this game is trash!” Not happy with the barrage of criticisms thrown his way, Dakotaz lashed out at the streamer during his own broadcast, and told him to “stay in his lane.” “Just stay in your lane, Ninja. You know what I’m saying? Like if I got an opinion, I got an opinion. Shut your mouth, dude. You know what I’m saying!?” he exclaimed. The Twitch star then stated, “I’m going to say what I want to say. Get off my d*ck, dude. That’s all I’m gonna say. Stay in your f**king lane! Someone clip that and send it to Ninja!” As of the time of this article, neither side has made any further comments on the tense back and forth between them, and it’s unlikely that either of them will change their view on players criticizing the battle royale. Despite the dust up between the two streaming legends, both continue to be popular ambassadors for Fortnite, with Ninja amassing 2.7 million followers on Mixer and Dakotaz 4.1 million on Twitch.

  • Daisy Keech under fire for “copying” fitness brand with her new product – Dexerto

Daisy Keech under fire for “copying” fitness brand with her new product Instagram: Daisy Keech / Peach BandsFormer Hype House and Clubhouse member Daisy Keech is under fire for allegedly copying another fitness brand’s design for workout bands, with some fans accusing her of deleting comments drawing attention to the matter. After leaving the Hype House in March due to issues with business partner Thomas Petrou, Daisy Keech went solo with her entrepreneurial skills, starting her own TikTok house – the Clubhouse. But after reconsidering what her “passion in life is” she decided to exit her own crew with the aim to pursue interior design and home renovation. That business plan also seemed to take a new turn when Daisy launched her own fitness brand Keech Peach, which includes the sale of fitness equipment and workout plans. https://www.instagram.com/p/CDXEC49pMun/ She initially was criticized by some reviewers for charging $47 for a workout plan that could have been found online “by simply googling butt workouts,” but other users seemed to be keen to try it out. However, she’s now under fire for a different reason. One of Daisy’s products are fitness bands, used to aid customers in their execution of her exercise plans. Fans have called out the design as looking strikingly similar to another fitness brand, Peach Bands. https://www.instagram.com/p/CDMYD7pjv58/ Both sets of bands feature a similar pink color scheme, a similar font, and an identifiable peach silhouette logo. People were quick to tag Peach Bands beneath the photo, and some of them noted that it appeared as though Daisy was deleting some of those comments. People are divided on whether or not this was an intentional rip off on Keech Peach’s part. Some share pictures of very similar bands they had purchased off sites like Amazon, with the same pink colors and minimalistic font. • Dairy Queen manager allegedly punished employees by making them drink cleaning solution – Dexerto

Dairy Queen manager allegedly punished employees by making them drink cleaning solution Instagram: dairyqueenA Dairy Queen manager allegedly forced eight employees to drink cleaning solution with chocolate ice cream as a punishment. Employees of a Dairy Queen in Kentucky were recently hospitalized after their manager forced them to drink a cleaning solution. The manager allegedly urged the employees to do so as punishment for not properly cleaning the ice cream machine. Parents of the affected employees have since spoken out, saying they are “livid.” DQ employees felt “burning sensation” in their stomachs If someone consumes just enough cleaning solution, they could die, as the chemicals are highly toxic. However, that was of no concern to the DQ manager. After eight DQ employees were called to a mandatory meeting, their manager forced them to eat chocolate ice cream mixed with a cleaning solution. The manager allegedly wanted the employees to taste what customers would have tasted, had they been served ice cream out of the machine that wasn’t cleaned the right way. Though some employees were hospitalized due to a “burning sensation” in their stomachs, there have not been reports of permanent medical damage. When asked about details by WKYT, Angel Patton, mother of a 17-year-old DQ employee, told the news outlet she was “livid” when her daughter told her what happened. Patton continued, “They were told by the manager that whether or not they liked chocolate ice cream, they were going to eat it today.” After the incident, Patton’s daughter and multiple other employees quit their jobs at that specific DQ. Currently, authorities are investigating and said that people are still working on giving their statements.

  • We spoke to DaFuqBoom, the guy behind the “Skibidi toilet” videos – Dexerto

We spoke to DaFuqBoom, the guy behind the “Skibidi toilet” videos DaFuqBoomA bizarre series of videos have cropped up on YouTube and TikTok, featuring animated fights between toilet creatures and camera people. Have you ever scrolled through TikTok late at night and found something so tantalizingly weird, it drags you into the depths of 3 AM? That’s how I found DaFuqBoom, an animator based out of Georgia. It’s also how a lot of people appear to have found him. His real name is Alexey, and his videos of vicious, singing toilet people fighting a series of hardware-headed people have racked up millions of views. On YouTube, a video compilation of “Season 14” uploaded three hours ago – as of writing – has already hit over 800, 000 views. It’s an astonishing rate, which Alexey says he didn’t expect: “It gained bigger views from the start, but I was not expecting to have it that big. It started to blow up huge somewhere during the release of [episodes] 8-9.” From parody to war – DaFuqBoom ups the ante You might also recognize the song, as it was a huge meme on TikTok for a few weeks in 2022. User yasincengiz38 danced his belly while being served mountains of food, bringing it to the forefront. However, it was user Paryss Bryanne who inspired DaFuqBoom. Her excessive movements and quick cuts to a new position led to the creation of the Skibidi Toilet series: “I did a parody of her take on the ‘skibidi dop dop yes yes’ meme. [The] Skibidi toilet video was a random thing, just based on [an unexpected] head popping out of the toilet.” Alexey has been animating for around nine years, using Source Filmmaker. The software, which was released by Valve in 2012, is what powered the excellent Team Fortress 2 adverts. It also bore its own community, with its easy-to-pick-up nature enticing users into recreating movie scenes or, in DaFuqBoom’s case, creating a war epic. When I asked why he chose Source Filmmaker, which is known for being a little finicky, DaFuqBoom said it was due to how easy it was: “Easier access to different assets [and a] great interface. I know how to animate as well in Blender, but the whole process including lighting and rendering would take [three times as longer].” He makes sure to credit the creators of the assets that he uses in each video as well. Skibidi toilets are taking over YouTube Since DaFuqBoom started uploading the series of videos in February, and since then has managed to earn a staggering 10 million subscribers since May. Alexey now sits on a YouTube account with 15.8 million subscribers and a TikTok account with 2.8 million followers in just a few weeks. The videos don’t really have much of an expressly told story, instead relying on visuals to great effect. There are toilet people, made up of assets from Half-Life 2 and Counter-Strike: Source. These creatures have infected, or taken over, the human race, and all that’s left are suited individuals with cameras for heads. Each video is a tug-of-war between the two sides. The cameramen figure out how to best the toilets, and in the next episode, the toilets strike back harder. As you go further, more characters are introduced. Speaker-headed people, and more recently, devastating mysterious TV people that blare the THX sound to kill the enemy. Episodes end with a jumpscare of sorts, or a thumbs up for a job well done. The TV people use emoticons to express their feelings. Those with speakers on their heads are often dancing. DaFuqBoom raises the bar he’s having to pull himself back These videos start out fairly simple, but the quality of the animation and the intensity of each fight is ratcheted up further with each minute-long video. When you watch these videos, the different animations – most recently featuring a spider-legged toilet – are incredible. DaFuqBoom has been putting a video out each day for a few weeks. It makes you wonder how one person can keep up with the pace. However, Alexey admits that he’s had to scale back how frequently he uploads to “[two] days because the quality of the videos has risen.” He’s not wrong either, as the videos have gone from featuring toilets singing the series’ namesake song, to full-scale war scenes. Speakers fly overhead, as a giant GMan toilet shoots laser beams from its eyes. Though, the song has begun to take a backseat. While the toilets screech or bellow it out, the videos are more about the ongoing war than a meme. Between all of this, Alexey has also developed a video game adaption that’s on mobiles. Skibidi toilet fakers Meanwhile, on TikTok, there’s a forgery happening. A user has been making their own – albeit worse – versions of the videos to piggyback off the success of DaFuqBoom. These videos feature similar tropes, and commenters are slowly picking up on the quality. TikTok, though, is not interested in removing the content according to Alexey: “I tried to take them down, but TikTok support doesn’t care, even after all the proof I’ve given to them. They’re unable to verify me.” The account, which claims to be “DaFuq?!Boom! Official” reuploads the content, and then will re-edit it to scrape more views. It hasn’t deterred Alexey though, as he’s already planned out the future of the series: “[The] main plotline is all planned out already, but some in-between episodes are added sometimes. It will continue for a while.” Will the Titan TV Man be able to subdue the corrupted Titan Speaker Man? It looks like we might find out in just a couple of days as Alexey is already hard at work on the next few episodes.

  • Dafran trolls Twitch chat with promise of “huge” Overwatch announcement – Dexerto

Dafran trolls Twitch chat with promise of “huge” Overwatch announcement Dafran/YouTubeFormer Overwatch League pro turned full-time Twitch streamer Daniel ‘Dafran’ Francesca trolled his chat in the most time-wasting way possible and then bragged about it on YouTube. During a February 2 broadcast, a mysterious timer appeared on Dafran’s Overwatch competitive play screen and began ticking down, leaving many in the chat to wonder just what would happen once it hit zero. After the timer stuck zero, a beeping noise started to sound and the Tracer specialist greeted his chat. “Hey, what’s up, guys?” Dafran asked. “Listen guys, I have a huge announcement to make, but the announcement is going to be delayed by another twenty minutes.” Following the statement, some of the Twitch star’s followers started spamming the Jebaited emote, indicating they had been fooled by the streamer or that they anticipated more shenanigans from the Danish DPS player. Nonetheless, many held out hope that Dafran could potentially be announcing a return to the Overwatch League given the fact his screen was still on the menu ready to queue. Francesca only played a single season in the league during the 2019 season, leading the Atlanta Reign to a Stage One playoff berth then retiring after just eight games. Still, the streamer has a history of tricking his fans – notably, he once claimed he wouldn’t even play in the league before making his debut in season two. As the minutes ticked away, Dafran returned to his stream and once again delayed the “announcement”. “Hey guys, I know it sucks, but the announcement is taking a little bit longer than expected,” he sighed before resetting the timer back to twenty minutes. Finally, after a whole hour had elapsed, the streamer appeared on camera. “I have a huge announcement to make,” he revealed. “I’m going to end the stream for today. I’ll see you guys tomorrow.” The troll really annoyed his followers, but it was a classic prank by one of the most nefarious Overwatch streamers on Twitch. Hopefully, in future streams, the ex-OWL pro can go back to doing what he does best and run circles around opponents in Overwatch instead of jebaiting his patiently waiting audience.

  • Dafran teases “family friendly” Twitch stream following suspension – Dexerto

Dafran teases “family friendly” Twitch stream following suspension Former Overwatch pro and full-time streamer Daniel “dafran” Francesca has hinted at reforming his Twitch channel to be “family friendly” when his suspension concludes. The highly popular Overwatch DPS star was hit with a 30-day suspension on November 13. The streamer alleged that the suspension was due to his “ignorance” and saying “stupid sh*t all the time.” While the exact reason for the suspension is unknown, some of his viewers suggested it was because he allegedly told an off-meta support player to “kill themselves” during a game he was streaming. Regardless of the reason for the ban, the controversial Atlanta Reign streamer has claimed that the “last reformation of dafran has begun.” The last reformation of dafran has begun Dafran v1: throwing games and watching hentai on stream Dafran v2: Toxic, raging at teammates and saying inappropiate shit Dafran v3: Family friendly??? — Dafran (@dafran) November 15, 2019 In a Twitter post, Dafran listed multiple “versions” of himself. The first, he said, was an adult anime-watching thrower. This was a reference to his infamous 2017 grief spree in which Blizzard themselves stepped in and banned the pro from two seasons of Overwatch Contenders. The second version, according to Dafran, was toxic and would rage at teammates. This was probably a reference to his most recent suspension. However, just as before, there is no way to verify the exact reason for his suspension and Francesca wouldn’t elaborate. Now, the newest version of the Danish Tracer God could be one for the ages. “Dafran v3: Family friendly???” the former pro bizarrely suggested in a totally out of character declaration. The response to the tweet was mostly negative, with many of the streamer’s vocal fans not wanting him to change or asking if he was joking. Popular YouTube channel Blizzard Guides weighed in writing, “pls say sike.” “Mixer soon Pog,” Dallas Fuel sniper legend Timo ‘Taimou’ Kettunen sarcastically responded suggesting Dafran will be permanently banned from the platform in the future and forced to move to Mixer. The only individual who seemed on board with the idea of a family-friendly stream was Overwatch League host Brennon Hook who replied with “SPONSOR FRIENDLY POG.” While it remains to be seen what route Dafran will take, the Overwatch star has stated he plans to pop off when he returns from his suspension after hearing about the upcoming nerfs to shields in Blizzard’s team-based FPS. Only time will tell if version 3 really is the Danish superstar’s final form, especially as pressure from his fanbase mounts. For his part, however, he has been able to tone down his antics in the past during Season 2 of the Overwatch League. During his time on the Atlanta Reign, which lasted a single stage, the opinionated streamer managed to keep things together and even give interviews after matches while keeping things professional. Hopefully, he can do the same with this upcoming iteration of himself and stay out of trouble for the foreseeable future.

  • Dafran banned on Twitch following Valorant tournament drama – Dexerto

Dafran banned on Twitch following Valorant tournament drama Robert Paul for Blizzard EntertainmentTwitch streamer Daniel ‘Dafran’ Francesca has been suspended on Twitch after a drama-filled weekend in which the former Overwatch pro was banned by a Valorant tournament organizer. The streamer was handed a lifetime ban from Solary tournaments after he exploded at the organizers when they changed the start time of the semi-finals. When Dafran and his team, Prodigy, missed the announcement, they were late to the match and the tournament awarded a map advantage to their opponents. “F*** the Solary Tournament on Valorant,” Dafran raged on Twitter. “Bunch of cry baby b****es, doesn’t prove who is the best. Only who is favored by the French organizers.” Due to his outburst, Solary and Prodigy handed Dafran a lifetime ban, but the issues continued in-game with the streamer throwing a game when he was grouped with Evan ‘DRG’ Depauw, a 16-year-old player for Solary. While Dafran eventually ceased throwing and told his chat to stop attacking the innocent player, the Danish star was clearly still upset over the whole ordeal. One day later, Francesca had another outburst so intense that even he admitted he could get banned for it. He blasted Prodigy’s owner, calling him a “pu**y” with “no backbone” and called Solary the worst tournament organizer he had ever seen. “Anyone supporting Solary TV is a f***ing b**ch,” he swore. “Yes, I’m going to get banned tomorrow and I don’t give a f**k. I will stand by all those words.” According to the streamer, while Twitch decided to ban him for seven days, it was “worth it.” Only time will tell how Dafran will act once his ban is up. The streamer has had a controversial past with prior bans due to toxicity, but came back from them ‘reformed.’ In either case, however, it doesn’t look like the streamer will be apologizing for his inflammatory actions or comments any time soon.

  • Dafran reveals update on his farming career after quitting Twitch – Dexerto

Dafran reveals update on his farming career after quitting Twitch Instagram/okotopen.dkRetired Twitch streamer and former Overwatch League pro Daniel ‘Dafran’ Francesca shocked fans everywhere when he revealed he was becoming a farmer – but in a new update, it turns out he wasn’t just trolling. The Danish DPS prodigy confused his fans back in June when he posted a surprising Twitlonger, where he stated he would be beginning a new chapter of his life. “I am going to be starting an education that has to do with growing fruits [and] vegetables,” he claimed, citing the fact he only has one life to live and had already spent one third of it in front of a computer. While many thought Dafran was trolling, sure enough, the streamer seemed to disappear shortly thereafter and hadn’t streamed since. However, an Instagram post from a farmer has confirmed that the gamer is, in fact, really working with fruits and vegetables. The photo shows the bearded Dafran smiling while holding a wheelbarrow filled with dirt or soil. “Daniel in the picture has a big dream of growing organic vegetables and making a living from it,” the post reads in English. “He has until now been known as @dafrandude professional gamer, but the vegetables and nature pull and call in him.” The poster recalls Dafran saying, “It’s just awesome to be able to go outside every day.” https://www.instagram.com/p/CE4Bbxahrqu/?igshid=6a4khk505mpz That all said, Dafran is still not an official farmer yet and has a lot to learn. “Daniel will be an intern with me a few days a week, where my most important task will be to give him as much in the backpack as possible,” the farmer revealed. “He has a really good energy and drive, and I am sure he will achieve his dream.” It’s certainly quite a change of scenery for Francesca who was one of the most popular Overwatch streamers on Twitch before he decided to change to Valorant. While we miss seeing Dafran’s highlight-reel plays, at least he’s doing something he enjoys and is making the most of the opportunity given to him.

  • Dafran reveals master plan after being unbanned on Twitch – Dexerto

Dafran reveals master plan after being unbanned on Twitch After a week long ban from Twitch, Daniel “dafran” Francesca confirmed his strategy to not run into any more trouble on the platform going forward. The popular streamer and former Overwatch League star was hit with a 30-day suspension on November 13. The streamer said the temporary ban was because of his “ignorance” and saying “stupid sh*t all the time.” The Atlanta Reign streamer claimed a few days after it happened that the “last reformation of dafran has begun.” Dafran revealed on November 22 that his suspension had been lifted early, and promised to start a brand new chapter upon his return to Twitch. Has dafran 3.0 arrived? The streamer shared the news he would be back streaming early on Twitter, and promised to become “SEAGULL V2.” “I will become a flower. This time, I will for real become SEAGULL V2,” dafran wrote on Twitter. “I will sprout into a beautiful soul.” UNBANNED!! I will become a flower. This time, I will for real become SEAGULL V2 I will sprout into a beautiful soul Day 1 of perfection begins tomorrow. The role model you all wanted is coming — Dafran (@dafran) November 22, 2019 Even though he apparently got unbanned on November 22, the streamer said his first stream back would be a day later on Nov 23. “Day 1 of perfection begins tomorrow,” dafran continued. “The role model you all wanted is coming.” Fellow Overwatch streamer and former OWL pro Brandon ‘Seagull’ Larned seemed excited he could serve as an inspiration to his friend upon his return. “PMA (positive mental attitude) DAFRAN?” the former Dallas Fuel player posted in response to the streamer’s return. Will dafran be coming back to Overwatch? Even though we don’t know for sure how long dafran will stick to his new “family-friendly” streaming strategy, he has said he plans to hop right back into Ovewatch and the new PTR patch. The patch’s nerfs to the current double shield meta have a lot of people, including dafran, excited about the changes. Even if the patch doesn’t have the massive effects most people are hoping for, dafran fans and Overwatch fans will be glad to have the streamer back on Twitch.

  • Dafran reveals how his dad trained him to become a pro gamer – Dexerto

Dafran reveals how his dad trained him to become a pro gamer Valve/Instagram/FarmerDafranFormer Overwatch League pro-turned-farmer Daniel ‘Dafran’ Francesca explained how his dad molded him into a professional gamer after raging at a teammate on Twitch. Dafran was having quite the brutal Overwatch match on King’s Row, partly because one of his teammates took the hero Echo – a character that the DPS legend had been practicing seriously. After a brutal round on attack where his team failed to capture the first objective, Francesca told his Echo teammate that they made him “embarrassed to be Danish” and challenged the younger gamer to a one-on-one match. The two agreed to settle their beef like men in the arena, with Dafran dominating the youngster – something that Francesca said he went through himself as a kid in Counter-Strike. “Do you know how I got my competitive spirit?” Dafran asked his chat. “My dad used to f**k me in one-on-ones until I got so mad I cried.” Parents being hard on their kids to help them improve is certainly nothing new, especially when it pertains to traditional sports. But for video games, it’s not something you hear about all that often. “I literally cried anytime I lost. I was so mad at him,” he added. “But then when I started shooting him through walls and I became good at the game, my dad quit!” According to Dafran, his dad would laugh after besting him in one-on-one matches, leaving Dafran feeling angry that his father just quit once he began catching up in skill. “Absolute piece of sh*t,” the Danish DPS sensation blasted. Considering the fact that Dafran would go on to become a top level player in multiple games, reaching the highest ranks in Valorant and Overwatch, it’s safe to say the unconventional training paid off. It may not be as tragic of an origin story as Batman’s, Spider-Man’s, or as cool as Dr Disrespect’s, but it goes to show the parents can definitely have an effect on their children becoming elite competitors in video games.

  • Dafran returning to Twitch with long-awaited “Farming Simulator” stream – Dexerto

Dafran returning to Twitch with long-awaited “Farming Simulator” stream Dafran, Instagram / Farming SimulatorDaniel ‘Dafran’ Francesca has finally announced his return to Twitch after a long hiatus, with a long-awaited “Farm Simulator” broadcast coming soon. The former Overwatch pro player shocked the world when he announced the end of his professional career, switching OWL stages for life in the fields of farming. Nobody could believe it, but now he’s going to show us what his new life is like – presumably. Dafran announced his return to the streaming platform on September 11, filling fans in on when he will next go live. Some thought he had quit forever, based on past comments. Thousands of fans have been waiting in anticipation for a closer look at his life transformation, but for all we know right now, it could genuinely be the game Farming Simulator that he’s playing. When is Dafran coming back to Twitch? No matter what he has in store, the streamer will be hitting screens with a new broadcast between September 11-13, according to a post on Twitter. He tweeted: “Farming simulator stream this weekend probably. Turn on notifications if you don’t wanna miss it on Twitch. Happy Friday boys.” A nice Friday surprise for his followers, coupled with the viral “turn up mufasa” meme video. Now, the wait begins. Farming simulator stream this weekend probably. Turn on notifications if u dont wanna miss it on twitch. Happy friday boys https://t.co/8EtXApcHBV — Dafran (@dafran) September 11, 2020 It remains to be seen if the streamer is going to be pulling out a real tractor or just rolling around in one in-game, for now. Either way, it should be good fun. Those wanting to watch him live have been urged to turn notifications on for his channel, with no start time confirmed. This is also a big boost for Twitch viewers as well, following on from the news that Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins has signed an exclusive contract to stream there again. More and more options are opening up to those wanting to tune into streamers online, with summit1g, TimTheTatman, and others still going live regularly on Twitch alone. One thing is for sure: Dafran’s stream is long-awaited, and thousands will likely want to be part of the action.

  • Dafran gets too excited while describing his mousepad cleaning technique – Dexerto

Dafran gets too excited while describing his mousepad cleaning technique Overwatch LeaguePopular Overwatch streamer Daniel ‘dafran’ Francesca may have got a little too excited as he explained to his viewers how he cleans his mousepad on stream. Dafran used to play for Selfless Gaming and Atlanta Reign as a professional Overwatch player before retiring in March 2019 to become a full-time streamer. Since then he’s stayed on Atlanta Reign and continues to bring Atlanta fans – and those across the world – some of the best Overwatch gameplay you could find. But it’s not all gameplay with dafran; he can be educational at times too, which is likely what he was aiming for when he started to explain to his viewers how he cleans his mousepad. The issue is, his explanation started to go off the rails, and he got a little too excited the more he said. Sounding progressively more out of breath, dafran said: “I take a piece of cloth and I rub it, dude. I rub my mousepad… hard… Keep rubbing it… until it gets clean. Then, after a while, it ends up being clean.” Unable to contain his enthusiasm any longer, dafran bursts out laughing as his explanation reaches its climax. As his next match started up, dafran started saying “Hold on, I’m rubbing!”, not moving for a few moments before finally getting on his way and advising his team and viewers that he’s clean. This is perhaps one of the stranger things we’ve seen on stream, but at least we know for sure that no matter what kind of content you enjoy, there really is something for everyone. It’s usually recommended to clean your mousepad every month or so just to remove dust and the like, but given how much dafran enjoys it he probably cleans his mousepad much more often.

  • Dafran faces backlash for comments on Sinatraa abuse allegations – Dexerto

Dafran faces backlash for comments on Sinatraa abuse allegations Stewart Volland and Robert Paul for Blizzard EntertainmentFormer Overwatch League pro and Twitch streamer Daniel ‘Dafran’ Francesca is facing backlash for his comments regarding sexual abuse allegations against his former teammate Jay ‘Sinatraa’ Won. On March 9, ex-girlfriend of Sinatraa, Cleo ‘cle0h’ Hernandez, accused the Sentinels Valorant star of abuse in a document that contained screenshots and even an audio recording. Dafran posted a tweet in defense of the 2019 Overwatch League MVP. This defense came before both Sentinels and Riot Games each decided to suspend Sinatraa while conducting their own internal investigations. “We have to wait for Sinatraa’s side of the story,” Francesca wrote. “E-girls can be f***ing scary as a Twitch streamer. They will try to jebait or photoshop evidence and then f*** you. I’m not saying she is one, but she could be. People have been waiting for something to cancel Sinatraa over.” https://twitter.com/dafran/status/1369563442319925251 Dafran, who was a former teammate of Sinatraa’s in the pre-OWL Selfless Gaming days, later suggested that an audio recording provided by the supposed victim could be taken out of context. “I have choked and slapped women in bed because that’s what they like and maybe I like it a little too, who knows. Imagine if that is taken out of context,” he replied. Okay? I have choked and slapped woman in bed because thats what they like and maybe I like it a little too, who knows. Imagine if that is taken out of context — Dafran (@dafran) March 10, 2021 Several high-profile streamers and esports figures called out Dafran for his remarks, including former Washington Justice General Manager Analynn ‘bawlynn’ Dang. “This is not it and the lack of empathy is horrifying,” Dang commented. “Please consider the message you are sending out to people by letting them know you think it’s okay to not believe women and to just group them as egirls.” This is not it and the lack of empathy is horrifying. QuarterJade’s response of “literally shut the f*** up” was met with a “f*** you” by Francesca, while Harbleu accused Dafran of being immature. “This is the type of dumbass take I’d expect from a 17-18 year old,” the Luminosity streamer blasted. “Keep acting like a 15-year-old the rest of your life, I’m sure it will keep working out for you. Maybe try farming again? Or was that too much work for you.” Glad to see you haven’t changed one bit. Never liked you in OW and glad you’ve left for valorant. Keep acting like a 15 year old the rest of your life, I’m sure it will keep working out for you. Maybe try farming again? Or was that too much work for you. — Anthony Ballo (@harbleuOW) March 10, 2021 Dafran accused Ballo of being “passive-aggressive.” Sinatraa finally broke his silence a day after the allegations first surfaced. In a brief TwitLonger, he denied accusations of abuse, claiming that he “never assaulted her in any way.”

  • Dafran explains why he quit farm school after only two months – Dexerto

Dafran explains why he quit farm school after only two months Instagram/okotopen.dkSemi-retired streamer turned farmhand, Daniel ‘Dafran’ Francesca, revealed during his return to Twitch that he quit school after just two months to do unpaid work. During his well-hyped Twitch return where he appropriately played Farm Simulator 19, the former Overwatch League pro discussed his ambitions and future plans. “I actually quit my education,” the Danish streamer revealed. “I just chilled for two months after streaming.” As it turns out, while Dafran was beginning his schooling, he applied to some internships and the one he was really interested in wrote him back. “The place I’m at now does exactly what I want to do,” he said, referring to Okotopen, a farmer/company that grows and sells fruits and vegetables. “He’s the only one in Denmark doing this – the thing I want to do.” After meeting with the man who runs the company, he agreed to take Francesca on. “I started working out there the other day. I was like, ‘f**k education, dude. I’m just going to go work here!’” he exclaimed. According to the hitscan prodigy, he knows “exactly what he wants to do” and in only half a year can learn everything he needs to know and more about his line of work. Read More: Dr Disrespect roasts shroud’s beard – Meanwhile, the schooling he would have done was going to reportedly take him four years to complete, something Dafran was opposed to. So, instead of going to school, he’s learning what he needs to as an intern and working for free: “It’s worth it, because the knowledge is worth the goal, dude. It’s easily worth.” https://www.instagram.com/p/CFM0Y9aBRSB/ While it’s sad that we don’t see that many incredible Overwatch or Valorant plays from Dafran anymore, at least he seems genuinely happy with his life choices, which hopefully continue long into the future.

  • Dafran explains why gaming will make people evolve into “human aimbots” – Dexerto

Dafran explains why gaming will make people evolve into “human aimbots” Robert Paul for Blizzard Entertainment/PixabayTwitch streamer Daniel ‘Dafran’ Francesca shared his bizarre theory on why people will evolve into “human aimbots” in the distant future. Dafran, who is known for having some strange takes, explained that because gaming is a recent phenomenon and a blimp on timeline of history, it could have some major effects on evolution going forward. “Gaming just became a thing in these recent years,” the former Overwatch League pro explained. “That means, in one-hundred generations, games and ‘makes babies,’ eventually, we are going to make a human aimbot with anime eyes.” “We’re going to ‘evolutionize,’” the streamer added, struggling to find the word “evolve” in his vocabulary. “We’re gonna ‘evolution.’” According to Francesca, humans will eventually become so good at aiming that our bodies will change from being stamina-based and physical to being more centered around reaction time and intelligence. The streamer went back to watching his video which compared real-world animals to RPG traits, but it didn’t take long for him to continue on the subject of human evolution. The former Atlanta Reign superstar further added that if one-hundred generations only played Counter-Strike they would have to evolve. “We could create a human aimbot child,” he laughed. “Maybe in the future we’re going to look like Ayaya.” Just like that, Dafran pulled up the infamous clip from the anime Kin-iro Mosaic where the protagonist Karen refers to Aya as “Ayaya.” “Look, our eyes are going to become like this!” he screamed while watching the anime characters on his screen. “So, we’re going to have full vision, full focus, full reaction time. This is going to be the future humans, dude. We’re all going to become Ayaya. We’re going to become human aimbots.” Unfortunately, it’s unlikely that anyone will be alive in generations from now to see if Dafran’s theory comes true. But, if it does happen, hopefully, someone in the future will find these clips and celebrate the streamer as a prophet.

  • Overwatch star Dafran explains why he was banned from Twitch – Dexerto

Overwatch star Dafran explains why he was banned from Twitch Daniel ‘Dafran’ Francesca, former Overwatch League pro and Twitch partner, has received a thirty-day ban on his Twitch channel. He is planning an appeal. Twitch has dropped the banhammer once again. The popular Overwatch pro-turned-streamer is facing a thirty-day ban on his Twitch channel. ❌ Twitch Partner “”dafran”” (@dafran) has been banned! ❌https://t.co/txSsKCWBpX#twitch #ban #firstban #partner #twitchpartner 👎🏿 — StreamerBans (@StreamerBans) November 13, 2019 Dafran responded on his own Twitter account, confirming the 30-day length and informing his followers that he will try to appeal the ban. As for a reason, dafran says it is due to his “ignorance,” admitting that it stems from saying “stupid s**t all the time.” What are the potential reasons for the ban? The exact reason for the dafran ban is unknown, but there are a few theories. Some fans say it was because the streamer told an off-meta support to “kill themselves” during an Overwatch game he was streaming. https://twitter.com/mulbGG/status/1194676169800605697 Others allege that he was laughing at ‘race jokes” while on stream. Unfortunately, due to his channel being offline, any clips of these alleged incidents currently don’t exist. The ban could also relate to a completely different event altogether. If his comments toward the off-meta support player are accurate, it wouldn’t be the first time that dafran has lashed out on his stream. In the past week, he exploded with rage at the tail end of a defeat, raining down expletives on top of his teammates and imploring them to uninstall the game. Just before that, he went off on a profanity-laced rant toward a viewer who claimed the streamer was “not their hero anymore.” Whether or not dafran returns to Overwatch after his most recent ragequit remains to be seen, as does the outcome of dafran’s ban appeal. He most recently played competitively for the Atlanta Reign in the latest season of the Overwatch League. He announced his competitive retirement in March. We will provide updates with more information regarding the ban and the appeal as that info becomes available.

  • Dafran confuses fans with plans to leave streaming to start a “farm” – Dexerto

Dafran confuses fans with plans to leave streaming to start a “farm” Overwatch LeagueStreamer Daniel ‘Dafran’ Francesca shocked Twitch by claiming he would be quitting streaming to grow fruits and vegetables despite Valorant launching worldwide. On June 2, the former Overwatch pro posted a TwitLonger where he outlined his plans for the future and thanked his viewers for the “incredible years and unforgettable memories.” According to Dafran, he wants to start pursuing a new career, which means means getting an education for it. “I am going to be starting on an education, that has to do with growing fruits, vegetables and etc,” he wrote. Read More: Dafran coordinates insane Overwatch combo – The streamer explained there were two reasons he’s doing this. The first is because we only have one life and people should do what makes them happy. The second is that he’s already spent one-third of his life in front of a computer, so it’s time for a change of scenery. “I am not going to stream regularly anymore,” he added. “This is not the end completely though, I will still stream for fun but rarely.” The news caught many of his viewers and fellow streamers off-guard, with some jokingly replying “let’s grow dude” – a play on his popular catchphrase “let’s go dude.” “Troll or real?” Francesca’s former Atlanta Reign teammate Dusttin ‘Dogman’ Bowerman asked. Despite the strangeness of the announcement, Dafran seemed to have already hinted at this possible career change in a stream earlier in May. While playing Overwatch, the streamer had claimed that he wanted to “own a strawberry farm.” “Imagine owning a greenhouse strawberry farm that’s inside a huge commercial greenhouse? Imagine waking up to that every day,” he said. “Oh my God, that would be f**king amazing.” It’s unclear just how serious Dafran was, as he does have a history of trolling his viewers. The move is especially strange given the release of Riot Games’ tactical FPS Valorant, a game Francesca was excited to play, especially after hearing how leaderboards would be coming. We’ll just have to wait and see what the future holds and if he really does intend on becoming a farmer. Until then, take this all with a grain of salt.

  • Dafran announces Twitch streaming return in shocking farm career update – Dexerto

Dafran announces Twitch streaming return in shocking farm career update Instagram/farmerdafranRetired Overwatch League pro and popular Twitch streamer Daniel ‘Dafran’ Francesca made headlines when he decided to give up streaming to become a farmer. Now, the Danish DPS prodigy has revealed he will be returning to Twitch in a new update. On June 2, Dafran shocked the world when he revealed he would be quitting Twitch to start a new life as a farmer. While many didn’t believe the Overwatch star would actually make the jump, their doubts were silenced when he didn’t stream after making the announcement and seemingly disappearing from the internet. As it turns out, Dafran had been working on a farm nearby, and even quit school to help grow fruits and vegetables. Despite Dafran seemingly learning a lot and enjoying his new job working alongside an experienced farmer, in a subsequent update, he revealed he was moving on. “Got the house for the farm!” he exclaimed in a November 11 tweet. “In 3 months I move in and can get the farm ready for Spring.” As it turns out, the hitscan player had quit his job because he felt ready to go about farming on his own and run his own business. Got the house for the farm!! In 3 months I move in and can get the farm ready for spring. I quit working at Økotopens place, he taught me the basics and I feel ready, very thankful for him. The plan now is to learn online and stream again, untill I can move in. Lets grow dude — Dafran (@dafran) November 11, 2020 “I quit working at Økotopens place, he taught me the basics and I feel ready, very thankful for him,” Dafran said. However, this also means good news for any fans hoping to see Francesca click heads and dominate in games like Overwatch and Valorant again. “The plan now is to learn online and stream again, until I can move in,” he added. So, for anyone looking to see if Dafran still has what it takes, he has three months until he moves onto his next farm project. There is no telling how successful Francesca will be going forward, but it’s clear he has a lot of enthusiasm for the career change. We can’t wait to see how things work out for the ex-Overwatch pro.

  • Daequan’s first tweet after 6-month hiatus sparks hope for Twitch return – Dexerto

Daequan’s first tweet after 6-month hiatus sparks hope for Twitch return Twitter: DaequanDaequan ‘Daequan’ Loco has broken his six-month social media silence in time for Thanksgiving. While the tweet was short and sweet, it has given fans of the former TSM Fortnite star hope for a potential return to Twitch. Daequan has practically disappeared from the public eye in 2020. He vowed that he’d try to return to Twitch by January 2020 after taking time off to focus on his health, but hasn’t made an appearance on the platform since December 2019. On top of that, he’s gone quiet on socials, not posting anything since March. While he has moved in with long-time friend and former duo Hamlinz in the meantime, there wasn’t any indication he was coming back to streaming. Feeling better than I have in years. Always thankful 🖤 pic.twitter.com/Bm4EyAZts4 — Daequan (@DaequanLoco) November 26, 2020 However, Daequan has finally broken his silence to give thanks to his fans on Thanksgiving, and tell everyone that he is getting along just fine. “Feeling better than I have in years. Always thankful,” the short message red, with a selfie of the streamer. The tweet has gone viral, with over 100,000 fans liking the tweet, and many of his contemporaries sending him messages of support, including TimtheTatman, NICKMERCS, and Classify. Daequan’s eight-word return has also managed to spark hope in his fanbase of a potential return to streaming. No matter whether it’s Fortnite, or a new game that’s come out in his absence like Valorant, Daequan’s fans are itching to see him back on the platform. There is potential for a return. Hamlinz has been a bit more active on social media, and Tfue even tried to get him to turn on the stream — even if just for a day. No matter what though, Daequan is taking things at his own pace. He’s still on that journey to better health, and will return in his own time when he believes it’s right. Fans of Daequan will be hoping it’s not another six months until we hear from the TSM Fortnite star again, but only time will tell if he actually commits to returning to streaming.

  • Daequan suffers serious injury after attempting Ninja Warrior challenge – Dexerto

Daequan suffers serious injury after attempting Ninja Warrior challenge YouTube: NRG Thoom HouseA little more than a week after his emphatic return to the internet, Daequan ‘Daequan’ Loco tore his ACL while taking on the American Ninja Warrior Training Course in a YouTube video. After being absent from Twitch, YouTube, and social media for almost two years, Daequan re-emerged on the internet and officially joined NRG along with Darryle ‘Hamlinz’ Hamlin, who had also been taking some time off. And if that wasn’t exciting enough, they also formed a multi-million dollar content house filled with their closest friends called Thoom House. But their first official YouTube video, which involved having a crack at the American Ninja Warrior Training Course, was marred after Daequan fell and tore his ACL. “I tore my ACL making this video so go watch it. First official content video Thoom House Ninja Warrior,” he said. In the video, he also explains how it happened, describing the act of falling and twisting his knee in the process. He assured fans that he was okay in a follow-up tweet and offered advice to anyone who suffers the same injury. “If you ever tear your ACL and you’re trying to be a sports player or something, don’t play on it. Get an MRI and treatment, or it’ll f**k you up worse later.” https://twitter.com/NRG_Daequan/status/1433559391685332996?s=20 ACL injuries are serious and could take six months following surgery to completely heal. So, it could compromise his return in terms of the kind of content he’s able to put out. That means he’ll need to spend a lot of time relaxing. Read More: TSM Daequean & Hamlinz post cryptic update – However, the good news is that it shouldn’t get in the way of any gaming content. In fact, it might mean he’ll be grinding out games; if there was a silver lining to his situation, it would be that.

  • Daequan reveals why he let Bugha win Fortnite World Cup – Dexerto

Daequan reveals why he let Bugha win Fortnite World Cup Daequan, Twitch / Epic GamesTeam SoloMid’s Fortnite World Cup. The 16-year-old Fortnite Battle Royale pro shocked the world on the game’s biggest stage on July 28, as he fended off another 99 competitors to scoop not only the solos trophy, but a $3 million cash prize too. However, while Bugha might well have looked like the best player in the world on that night, Daequan has provided his fans with a hilarious explanation for the win. “I already told you all, look. The whole reason I didn’t play the [Fortnite] World Cup was because his mom hit me up. She was like ‘Hey, can you not play in the World Cup so my son, little Bugha, can win’” he said during a broadcast on August 25. Read More: Top 5 most controversial updates in Fortnite – The TSM pro player added: “I was just like, you’re going to have to just slide me a couple of dollars but, I got you, you know what I’m saying. You know, we hit a little transaction up,” he added. “Next thing you know, 16-year-old Bugha wins the World Cup.” While the explanation for Bugha’s shock victory was a good one from Daequan, who never competed at the tournament, there’s little to no chance that it’s true. He’s definitely joking, if you didn’t realize already. A number of high profile Fortnite streamers who did compete at the $30 million Fortnite World Cup competition arguably flopped, too, with Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney finishing up in 67th place at the event’s finals. Yet, there’s no reason to suggest that himself, Daequan, and many others from the streaming community won’t qualify next time out and make a statement on the grandest stage of them all.

Daequan & Hamlinz officially join NRG and finally return to the internet NRGFormer TSM duo Darryle ‘Hamlinz’ Hamlin and Daequan ‘Daequan’ Loco have officially joined NRG. The pair have been absent from the Twitch, YouTube and social media for almost two years, but have made their big comeback official on August 26. At the height of Fortnite’s popularity on Twitch, Hamlinz and Daequan blew up, thanks to their infectious on-stream energy, in-game skill, and association with TSM. However, problems struck both of them in their personal lives, making dedication to content creation more difficult. They both disappeared from the internet for large chunks over the past few years, leaving fans in the dark about what they were up to, and if they would return. On August 24, posters began appearing around Los Angeles with the banner ‘Find the streamers’, with a new YouTube channel to boot. Daequan & Hamlinz join NRG Esports Now, on August 26, the pair have officially been announced as members of NRG, the LA-based esports and gaming organization, that houses lots of other top streamers in a variety of games under their banner. NRG CEO and co-founder Andy Miller said that the org has “big plans” for Hamlinz and Daequan, following the big reveal. Lets Fuuuccckkkinggg GOOO!!! Didn’t know I could hold a secret this long. • Daequan finally reveals when he’s returning to Twitch: “It’s gonna go crazy” – Dexerto

Daequan finally reveals when he’s returning to Twitch: “It’s gonna go crazy” YouTube: NRG EsportsDaequan ‘Daequan’ Loco has finally locked in a date for his Twitch comeback stream, more than 540 days since the then-TSM, now-NRG content creator totally vanished — along with Hamlinz — in early 2020. Daequan was once one of Twitch’s biggest stars, but the then-TSM streamer all-but vanished from the public eye after a Christmas broadcast in 2019. In mid-January, 2020, the Californian personality told fans he was taking a break to focus on his health. At the time, he promised the hiatus would be “short,” and set an expected return date. The rest of the year rolled by, however, and Daequan failed to make his promised Twitch return. Around the same time, the star went dark across social media. Then, on August 26, the missing star — alongside regular partner in crime Darryle ‘Hamlinz’ Hamlin — shocked the internet with new news; the 27-year-old had left TSM and inked a rich new deal with NRG Esports. Daequan’s return sparked rumors he would also be back streaming on Twitch soon and, sure enough, the NRG star has now locked in an official comeback date. On September 3, just days after revealing he had torn his ACL doing a Ninja Warrior challenge video, Daequan confirmed he would be streaming on Twitch soon. Very soon, in fact: the NRG star is going live this Saturday evening. He revealed: “Saturday… my stream gonna go crazy. Be there.” For those that need a reminder, Daequan streams on Twitch at /tsm_daequan, though that may well change before his comeback broadcast at 4 pm. Saturday… 4PM PST…My Stream gonna go crazy… be there… #Twitch — Daequan (@DaequanLoco) September 3, 2021 Before his NRG-fuelled return last week, Daequen had only really broken his internet abstinence twice. On November 26 he shared an image of himself and his cat on Twitter, alongside the message, “Feeling better than I have in years. Always thankful.” He then returned again on November 26 to share “feeling like myself again.” Daequan’s Twitch return this Saturday is expected to be a massive event. When he was regularly streaming Fortnite and Warzone back in late 2019, the Californian star would regularly hit around 10-20k concurrent viewers at any one time. At his high-water-mark in mid-2018, the 27-year-old was raking in more than 270k hours watched every stream. The long-absent streaming star still boasts a wink over 3.7m followers on the platform, many of whom have been waiting for streaming news since 2019. His subscriber count has, of course, dropped to zero since 2020. Amid their return, the NRG duo declared they were “taking over!” “What’s up everybody, we are back baby!” Hamlinz and Daequan said on August 26. “So we made it happen, worked with NRG, and made this whole thing come true. We got so many things planned. We got podcasts, all kinds of content. Things you’ve never seen before, for sure. And this content ain’t gonna stop! It’s just gonna keep going, and going, and going.” Read More: Who’s in Hamlinz and Daequan’s NRG Thoom House? – Daequan and Hamlinz are now living in a $7m content house, “The Thoom House,” with other NRG creators like Bow, Meteor, Philly, and more.

  • Daequan finally confirms his first 2020 Twitch stream – Dexerto

Daequan finally confirms his first 2020 Twitch stream TSMPopular streamer, and member of TSM, Daequan ‘Daequan’ Loco has finally revealed when he’ll be making his return to Twitch after not streaming since Christmas Day 2019. As Fortnite became one of the most popular games on the planet, many creators hopped onboard the battle bus and started showing off their skills. That included the Team SoloMid trio of Ali ‘Myth’ Kabbani, Daequan, and Darryle ‘Hamlinz’ Hamlin. If they didn’t play together, the trio could still be found styling and profiling in matches for hours on end but both Daequan and Hamlinz took breaks from Twitch for health reasons – though, they always promised a comeback. After Daequan returned, briefly, on Christmas Day of 2019, fans quizzed him on a permanent return. While he’s been on and off with Twitter ever since that point, he sparked celebrations from his fans on February 24 when he finally confirmed that he’d be making his return to Twitch. “Tomorrow: Streams start again, miss you guys & chat!!!!.” he tweeted with a smiley face attached, while also confirming some other personal changes. “Today: The first person I see who guesses the car I bought correctly gets $200.” Tomorrow: Streams start again ☺️ I fkin miss you guys & chat!!!! Today: The first person I see who guesses the car I bought correctly gets $200 👀 — Daequan (@DaequanLoco) February 25, 2020 After receiving a few thousand tweets about his return, Daequan hinted at the fact that he won’t be playing Fortnite upon his return – asking fans for some recommendations. “What games you guys playing nowadays?” he posted two hours later. Of course, plenty of fans asked for him to play Fortnite, but there were calls for games like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, Minecraft, Overwatch, and even Grand Theft Auto V. While he may have confirmed a return, the time at which he’ll go live still remains to be seen, but the streamer will more than likely tweet that ahead of time. His long-awaited return is sure to see his channel filled with fans who have missed his content and are looking forward to seeing him back streaming on a regular basis.

  • Daequan finally confirms first gaming stream back on Twitch – Dexerto

Daequan finally confirms first gaming stream back on Twitch Daequan/TwitchNRG’s Daequan ‘Daequan’ Loco has revealed when he’ll be bringing his hiatus from Twitch streaming to an end and finally get back to livestreaming games. Prior to late August, Daequan and Hamlinz had been inactive from content creation for almost two years. The then-TSM pair teased returns on multiple occasions, but it never quite stuck outside of a day or two. After teasing posters popped up around LA, and fans uncovered a mysterious YouTube channel, the pair revealed that they’d joined NRG Esports and launched the Thoom House with a handful of other creators. They’ve both been back on social media, with Hamlinz returning to Twitch, but Daequan has yet to do so. Though, he’ll finally be bringing his hiatus to an end in the near future. Prior to the NRG announcement, where Daequan went live on his channel to show off the Thoom House and chat with viewers about his prolonged absence, he hadn’t streamed on Twitch since the beginning of 2020. His four million-strong follower base fluctuated a little bit in that time, but fans lived in hope of a return. Now, it’ll be happening on Friday, September 24 with a variety stream. “Friday, 2 PM (PST) variety gamer streams finally begin. Starting with the game that started it all,” he tweeted on September 23. Of course, it didn’t long for fans to start guessing as to what game he meant, with many of them realizing that he probably means Fortnite as that was the game that sparked his meteoric rise. The NRG star hasn’t dropped any other details outside of that, so we’ll have to wait until he goes live before we know more about his future schedule and ideas for streaming. Though, for fans that have waited for so long to see his channel with the live tag again, any sort of streams will be welcomed.

  • Daequan finally breaks silence on NRG house’s shock collapse: “I blame myself” – Dexerto

Daequan finally breaks silence on NRG house’s shock collapse: “I blame myself” Twitch: DaequanDaequan Loco has returned to Twitch after an unplanned 113-day hiatus from the streaming platform to reveal what actually happened to the content house he and Hamlinz founded alongside NRG Esports late last year. Loco, 27, has become renowned for his long stints away from streaming and the public eye after building an immense following in Fortnite between 2018 and 2019. The streamer — and co-star Darryle ‘Hamlinz’ Hamlin — all but disappeared in early 2020, leaving behind millions of Twitch followers and a legion of loyal Fortnite fans, before a surprise return late last year with a new project; the “Thoom House,” founded by NRG and the duo. Just weeks later, however, the duo vanished again. Now, more than three months after the new Thoom house disappeared, Daequan has returned to Twitch to set the record straight on what really went wrong. According to the 27-year-old streaming star, there was one thing that brought the Thoom house and all the duo’s grand plans to their knees — internet issues. “We got the house, they said the internet was all good, it’s a lovely place, whatever whatever. Long story short, we get there, it’s not that,” Daequan revealed. “We did not have fibre at all, it was DSL? So the internet was [broken]. There’s things in there I had not seen in like fifteen years.” Read More: Who was in Daequan and Hamlinz’s NRG House? – More issues began to pop up in the house too, including broken air conditioners, dodgy phone connections, and a built-in shower that “wouldn’t run hot, ever.” Daequan added he had “no beef” with NRG or anyone from the Californian esports organization, though he did go on to admit he’s still not sure whether he’s still signed to their brand or is a free agent again. “I have nothing bad to say about them bro, they were dope,” he said. “All the people I met through the org, they were cool, they were eager to get sh*t going as much as we were. The saddest thing for me is that everything didn’t work out. It was unfortunate bro, just so sad, everyone wanted it to work there.” “It was so stressful, for everyone,” the star added. “I blame myself. I will always blame myself, because if I blame other people, then that’s wrong. Look at League of Legends. If I’m gold and I blame my teammates 24/7 I’m going to be gold forever bro! “When you lose, you have to figure out what went wrong. With this thing, we’re doing the same thing, figuring out what we do differently. We’ll be more hands on.” Daequan now returns to a Twitch following of more than four million fans, many of whom have been eagerly awaiting the 27-year-old’s proper return since 2020. That long-awaited time is now, Loco has declared. “It feels good to be back,” he said in his January 24 stream. “Look, I’ve learned I’m really dogsh*t at communicating, and that is one thing I am 1000% going to work on. I am going to make a genuine effort [to communicate] with you guys. I’m talking Twitter, Instagram, and talking about what I’m doing. “Right now I’m focusing on getting everything back to how it was. I want to stream, make YouTube videos. Get back into that groove, make it my routine again.”

Dads brawl in traffic as viewers compare roadside rumble to GTA FacebookA wild brawl broke out between two drivers stuck in New York traffic and viewers are comparing the fisticuffs to a scene out of Grand Theft Auto. Two men took their road rage to another level and began beating the living daylights out of each other in a wild viral video that has to be seen. No one likes being stuck in traffic. It’s boring, time-consuming and can make you late for work. Over the years we’ve seen plenty of roadside fights break out and this one is just on another level. In a video uploaded to Facebook earlier this month, a huge fight ensued on a road in New York’s Hudson Valley region with both combatants going the distance. New York road rage fight goes viral It’s not clear what started the fight, but the video, uploaded to the Meta platform by user Michelle McNair begins with both men already squaring off. “Nah someone go get ya dads they fighting in traffic in Middletown right now,” McNair captioned the video with a series of laughing emojis. Throughout the battle, the two balding men grapple, fire of punches and blow off some steam all while waiting for the light to turn green. At one point, one of the men even tries to tackle his foe over a barricade like it’s some sort of WWE match. After recovering from the attempted tackle, the man in blue begins to back his opponent up and appears to finally have an advantage when the video abruptly ends. Despite not knowing who won, viewers were quite impressed by the fight and began comparing it to Rockstar’s GTA VI. “This look like some sh*t outta GTA,” a user said. “Well at least it’s a fistfight no guns or knives,” said another. Luckily, it doesn’t seem like either of the fighters will be in trouble with the law for their actions as the police say they haven’t received any calls about brouhaha.

  • Dad’s Amazing Reaction to 17 Year Old Son Winning $86,000 in Fortnite Summer Skirmish – Dexerto

Dad’s Amazing Reaction to 17 Year Old Son Winning $86,000 in Fortnite Summer Skirmish The Fortnite Summer Skirmish has been life-changing for some young players, with a massive $8 million in prize money distributed over eight weeks of competition. In week four’s North American tournament, 17 year old streamer Reverse2k won the ‘Hold the Throne’ competition, netting him $50,000, plus an extra $36,000 for his fifth place finish overall. Hold the Throne was a new format for week four, which rewarded players for getting the most eliminations in a game and holding on to that top spot, for a bonus $50,000. Reverse2k managed to keep that number one spot, and received a heartwarming phone call from his father after the event, which he played over loud speaker for his stream to hear. While many young gamers still struggle to convince their parents that spending more time gaming is a good thing, earning $86,000 for a few hours work certainly makes for a good argument. His dad exclaims: “Eighty six fucking thousand dollars? You’re going to need a fucking tax guy!” Because he won the bonus ‘Hold the Throne’ prize and a 5th place, Reverse2k actually took home more than the 1st place finisher, “NotVivid”. His supportive dad was quickly given the name ‘Papa2k’. Creator Clash is on the horizon, set to take place on Saturday, April 15. This marks the event’s second iteration, with last year’s boxing matches raising over $1 million for charities like the American Heart Association and more. This year, quite a few participants from 2022’s event are coming back for Creator Clash’s return, including Nathan ‘Dad’ Barnatt. Last year, Dad earned a convincing victory over SuperMega’s Matt Watson, winning the bout by ref stoppage in the very first round. This year, he’s taking on AB Ayad ‘Starkilla,’ hoping for a greater challenge… but he’s also looking forward to next year’s Creator Clash, saying in a pre-fight press conference that he wants a coed tag team match with some big female internet stars. More specifically, Dad expressed a hope to fight alongside Belle Delphine, who famously sold her own bathwater back in 2019. According to Dad and other fighters, she’s been sending many of the Creator Clash participants words of encouragement over social media. That’s not all; he also made mention of Amouranth, one of Twitch’s most-watched female broadcasters. In fact, Amouranth will actually be at Creator Clash hosting pre-fight interviews alongside fellow streamer Esfand — and she’s even taking part in a boxing match this July against Spanish streamer Mayichi. Dad wants tag team boxing match with Belle Delphine vs Amouranth “She wants to box,” Dad said, speaking of Belle Delphine. “I’m gonna put this out there. She wanted to box, she didn’t want to box, she doesn’t know what she wants to do. She is around people who do MMA, I will say, in her personal life, so I think she could have some good influence.” “I’m gonna put it out there — I would love to do a tag team event with Belle. Coed tag team. Her against… Amouranth? Somebody? And me versus… I don’t know. Some old man.” Dad wasn’t left hanging for long, as Esfand jokingly volunteered himself for the match. Belle Delphine responds to Dad’s tag team boxing match idea Just a short while later, Belle reacted to Dad’s idea on social media. She posted a clip from the press conference to Twitter, writing: “When you’re watching something live and your name gets dropped it is THE most intense feeling lmao,” she wrote. “Anyway, good luck everyone!” For more Creator Clash news, be sure to check out our full coverage right here on Dexerto.

In a viral clip with 2.1 million views, TikToker Indya Jefferies stood next to her fiancé, as he was getting ready to kick a ball that had either pink or blue powder inside to indicate if they were having a girl or a boy. However, the gender reveal went wrong after he accidentally hit the football with the side of his foot, sending it flying to their neighbor’s backyard. The shocked mom-to-be covered her mouth with her hands, while the engaged couple’s family and friends were heard laughing and saying, “Oh my God” and “Oh no.” Unfortunately, they were unable to retrieve the ball from next door because it exploded when it hit the floor. “The football exploded next door and we had to do it again. Didn’t realize you had to kick it down the middle to explode,” Indya wrote in the comments. The content creator later confessed that she’s glad they had a “plan B” otherwise she “would have cried and hated [her] fiance forever.” In a follow-up, the couple popped a black balloon and found out they were having a girl. TikTok users in the comments were in hysterics over the gender reveal fail. “I’ve watched it about 60 times and it gets funnier every time,” one user wrote. “Is it the next door neighbour’s baby?” another added. “That landed in my backyard,” a third quipped. “He definitely told her he could have gone pro if it wasn’t for an ankle injury and she believed him,” someone else joked. This is not the first time a gender reveal fail has popped off on TikTok, after a couple’s 4-year-old kid ruined their gender reveal by cutting their confetti-filled balloon’s string.

In a viral clip with 24.2 million views, TikTok user BennyG7070 recorded a lit fireplace, with presents dotted around the room in festive wrapping paper. “With Christmas approaching, here is a top tip for parents,” he said, before revealing his rather controversial method of making sure his children behave. “Wrap up some empty boxes and pretend that they are presents. Then each time one of those little f**kers misbehaves, chuck one onto the fire,” he explained. The video concluded with the dad grabbing an empty, neatly wrapped Christmas present, and throwing it straight into the roaring fire. “Christmas is coming, and here is a sure fire way to ensure your little darlings behaving proper,” he captioned the 16-second clip. The content creator dismissed some of the criticism, as he later commented on his own video, “Hi Karens!” Others, however, found the controversial method hilarious, and came to the dad’s defense. “That’s a great idea wish I could have done that to my kids when they where younger,” one parent commented, along with a laughing crying face emoji. “As a mother of three I will second this,” another wrote. “My dad did this, we started to behave after this,” a third said.

  • Dad challenges entire WWE, calls Logan Paul a “phony con artist” – Dexerto

Dad challenges entire WWE, calls Logan Paul a “phony con artist” After another quick win for Dad during his second Creator Clash appearance, the OG YouTuber called out the entirety of WWE while hitting out at internet celeb and professional wrestler Logan Paul. In 2022, Dad took on Matt Watson of Super Mega during the inaugural Creator Clash event. Ending the fight in 22 seconds, Dad dominated Watson with an animalistic fighting style and relentless assault. As such, Dad’s fight against AB of the H3 Podcast was one of the most highly-anticipated fights of Creator Clash 2. While the match lasted longer than his first – and entire two-minute round – 120 seconds in the ring with Dad was more than AB could handle. Now, Dad has set his sights on another opponent, making for an unprecedented call-out. Dad calls out WWE, flames Logan Paul in the process In a post-fight interview, Chills asked Dad the obligatory question of who he wanted to take on next. The 42-year-old claimed he had a signed contract with the WWE for ten years, but that the organization’s superstars were avoiding him. “I would like to call out the entire company of the WWE,” Dad exclaimed. “I still have that contract signed. Triple H knows me. Vince McMahon knows me. Half the roster knows me. They’ve been dancing around me for ten years, and I’m not waiting any more.” And during Dad’s callout, Logan Paul found himself in the YouTuber’s crosshairs. “So Seth Rollins, you want to go toe to toe with a phony YouTuber, a con artist? How about you go toe to toe with a boxer, a YouTuber from the original days, who actually wins his fights?” He also stated that he would be waiting at the front doors of the WWE training facility until they were ready to answer. So, while Creator Clash 2 featured WWE Superstar John Morrison, maybe we will see Dad appear on TV in an official WWE match.

  • DaBaby explains why he wishes he could quit social media – Dexerto

DaBaby explains why he wishes he could quit social media North Carolina rapper DaBaby has explained why he wishes he could quit social media in a surprisingly poetic and wise string of tweets posted on January 7. The artist, who has risen to stardom off of the back of hits such as ‘Suge’ and ‘BOP’, became one of the biggest names in the game in 2019, working on tracks with the likes of J. Cole, Chance the Rapper and Lil Nas X to name but a few. However, DaBaby, real name Jonathan Kirk, felt compelled to inspire his followers with some more grounded tweets that seemed to come out of nowhere, explaining why social media is not good for people. In the first tweet, he said: “If social media wasn’t such a lucrative tool in the business I’m in I wouldn’t even be on it. Lost souls influenced by lost souls. […] I encourage people to have the courage to find themselves without the false sense of security they search for on the internet.” He continued: “I always preferred to say less because social media ain’t a place for the truth. But lately, I’ve been feeling like it’s my calling to say more.” He also said he doesn’t want “to be identified as one of these internet MFs.” This is a sentiment that many people with a bigger platform express at some point, saying that they feel compelled to offer their fans their version of the truth, nuggets of wisdom or more than simply being a celebrity. If social media wasn’t such a lucrative tool in the business I’m in I wouldn’t even be on it. Lost souls influenced by lost souls. I hate to see it. I encourage people to have the courage to find themselves without the false sense of security they search for on the internet. — DaBaby (@DaBabyDaBaby) January 7, 2020 I always preferred to say less because social media ain’t a place for the truth. But lately I been feeling like it’s my calling to say more. ion know how I wanna play it though, I respect my mind too much to allow myself to be indentifed as one of these internet mfs. — DaBaby (@DaBabyDaBaby) January 7, 2020 He later posted a couple more tweets that seemed to target followers that think he’s “sad” just because he “said something with substance.” He said that “the internet is so lost” that if he says something with “substance” he’s sad. “B**ch, I’m good. God just moved me to send out a message this morning. Don’t send pity where it isn’t needed. Just soak up the game for what it’s worth. Sh*t, it may not be worth anything at all.” He put an end to the discussion with one final tweet, expressing that fans and followers might pay his more substantive messages no attention, because he’s just a rapper. The internet so lost they think if a nigga say something with substance he sad. Bitch I’m GOOD😂 GOD just moved me to send out a message this morning. Don’t send pity where it isn’t needed. Just soak up the game for what it’s worth. Shit it may not be worth nothing at all 🤷🏾♂️ — DaBaby (@DaBabyDaBaby) January 7, 2020 But y’all don’t pay me no mind. I’m just a rap nigga wit a iPhone using his fingers to put words together. Let me go back to saying less before I scare MFs away 🤫 — DaBaby (@DaBabyDaBaby) January 7, 2020 Of course, the irony is that DaBaby is posting this all on social media, a fact that likely isn’t lost on him. DaBaby’s most recent album, Kirk, debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart, marking the rapper’s first No. 1 project. Since then, he found himself facing a short imprisonment for alleged battery charges – something he took to his nine million Instagram followers to ask them to stop talking about on January 4, a few days after being released. DaBaby isn’t the first major personality to come out and speak about the flaws of social media, but he makes a compelling point and probably sees the dark sides of social media more than most, given his large following. Whether this means his social presence will shorten in the coming weeks remains to be seen, but if one thing’s clear, it’s that were he not a rapper, he might not want to be on social media at all.

  • Cyr claims Twitch is banning him after showing nudity on broadcast – Dexerto

Cyr claims Twitch is banning him after showing nudity on broadcast Twitch: CyrOTK star ‘Cyr’ is getting banned on Twitch — but he’s not suspended just yet. The platform gave the streamer a heads-up on his upcoming ban for showing nudity on broadcast, and is juicing his last stream for three days for what it’s worth. Cyr is getting banned on Twitch, the OTK star has confirmed, but it’s not happening right away. The Amazon-owned platform gave him a heads up ahead of his January 14 stream that he would be banned for three days after showing nudity earlier in the week. “I was told by Twitch today that I’m going to be having a three day ban incoming, starting today,” he said to kick off his latest broadcast. “A couple of days ago, we were watching music videos. I think nudity showed up for a split-second. That’s that. It is what it is. “I can’t even remember, honestly, what it was. I’m assuming someone went out of their way to report me because I did delete the VOD whenever it happened.” Twitch’s community guidelines do prohibit nudity and “sexually suggestive content.” Some are skeptical of Cyr’s claims in the wake of Jeremy ‘Disguised Toast’ Wang staging his own Twitch ban in an attempt to stop streamers re-broadcasting copyright content. However, Cyr doubled down in saying the ban is legitimate. While it’s put a spanner in Cyr’s content schedule, rescheduling planned streams around the ban, he’s also managed to see the lighter sides of the ban. He’s not necessarily annoyed he won’t be able to stream — although he did have plans — but it’s losing access to his Twitch account that has him a bit more annoyed. “The worst thing is I’ll have to deal with ads because I won’t be able to be logged into my account when I’m banned, and that’s the worst thing about all of this: having to deal with ads,” he laughed. Cyr even, somewhat jokingly, asked for his viewers to subscribe while his channel is live so he can get reap a big check when he returns. However, he did end by saying he’s not too sure how he’s going to spend his three-day vacation. “My stream is set to 18+ and I do go out of my way to ban somebody if they say they are under 18 if they are watching the stream. It is what it is, though. It’s just three days. I think I’ll go camping — I don’t know what I’m going to do for three days.” “It’s going to suck. I know three days isn’t that long, but when you actually want to stream, it sucks.”

Cynthia Parker denies sending “fake” messages amid mass unfollowing Instagram: cynthiaparkerrrrTikTok star Cynthia Parker has denied sending messages about some of her other creators, including Cooper Noriega, claiming they’re “fake” and “disturbing”. On November 3rd, the TikTok world was set alight as fans of Cynthia Parker noticed that the popular creator had started being unfollowed by many of the biggest names on the platform. Parker, who has close to 5 million followers on the video-sharing platform, lost followers on both TikTok and Instagram, including the likes of Nessa Barrett, who has appeared in her videos before. Fans quickly sought an answer, with some referring to comments that Parker had apparently made about Cooper Noriega – who passed away in June. These apparent messages, which came in the form of Twitter and Instagram messages, circulated on TikTok and Twitter, with Parker apparently mocking his look in some photos and also referring to his death. Cynthia Parker says messages about TikTokers are “fake” The TikToker has hit back at those messages, claiming that they are “fake” and “disturbing,” and haven’t come from her at all. “I’ve gotta address. I’m not sure who is creating fake messages that are just so cruel? It is absolutely sick and disturbing,” Parker said on her Instagram story. “I don’t even own Twitter. It’s been over two years since I’ve used the app. Such a horrendous thing to do. Please stop. I’m done with drama.” She also followed it up with another post, that simply said: “What a sick f**king world.” Plenty of fans offered support to Parker on her memorial post for Cooper’s passing, urging others to stop being “disrespectful” towards her. That hasn’t stopped some viewers from being threatening and abusive towards herself, however. There are, sadly, swaths of threatening messages on her recent posts across both Instagram and TikTok.

TikToker yeahcolin documented their awkward experience of having to ask the employee at the store to open the fridge to grab their ice cream. “I don’t know if anyone’s been to a CVS in New York lately, but they do this new degrading thing.” The TikToker then pans over to the fridge where the ice cream is stored, attempting to open the fridge door to no avail. “They lock the ice cream so you have to push for help.” Colin said whilst zooming into the ominous red button titled customer service. “Trying to be sneaky and lowkey, I have to let the whole store know there’s a breakdown on aisle 8.” “Ridiculous babe, ridiculous.” they complained as they pushed the button for assistance. The TikTok was only posted 2 days ago and has since amassed 480k views, with over 65k likes. Colin then recorded the awkward conversation they held with the employee who came over to unlock the door for them. “Hi. Thank you. Thank you so much. Sorry.” This is part of a recent trend that many shoppers have found, where many of the store’s items have been locked behind cases. However, many were shocked to see ice cream join this list expressing their second-hand embarrassment for Colin. “I’d be so embarrassed standing there waiting for them to come unlock it.” one stated. “Imagine crying and having a full breakdown and just needing some ice cream and then they make you speak to someone.” another agreed.

  • Customers spark debate over dining and dashing after long wait for the bill – Dexerto

Customers spark debate over dining and dashing after long wait for the bill TikTok: dailyku_Two customers were faced with the battle of not knowing the right time to dine and dash after waiting too long for their bill. Restaurants are generally known for being on-time with their service. The drink arrives in minutes, the bread is already on the table, and the side sauces arrive with the order. However, in some cases, issues can arise, causing longer wait times for customers. For two customers who recently dined together, the latter was the case, as they waited for nearly an hour for their bill. After having waited so long, the duo took to TikTok to share their experience, sparking a debate on the right time to dine and dash when the service is poor. TikTok agrees that 30 minutes is the appropriate time to wait until dining and dashing TiktToker Lauren Petrosian was out for a dinner date with her friend when they questioned whether or not they should dine and dash after waiting 45 minutes for their bill at the end of their meal. In Petrosian’s viral TikTok video, she inserted a text overlay asking, “When is the appropriate time to dine and dash, because we’ve been waiting for the bill for 45 minutes.” The video displayed Petrosian and her pal being fed up with their wait time. It’s unknown if the two paid for their hot pot meal. However, Petrosian sparked quite the debate online about whether or not they should have dined or ditched. One commenter said, “After 30-40 minutes, I’m gone — unless it’s super busy, then I understand.” While another agreed that there was an allotted wait time before the proper moment to dine and dash, saying, “My friend and I waited 30 the other day! We asked our server twice, and other servers, too. We left. I came back later to pay because I felt bad.” Others explained their similar situations, saying, “I once just stood up next to the booth and looked mad and someone came to check on us.” As well as, “I did this. I did the math and left cash. I’m not waiting an hour for a bill while you remember every other table but ours.” It seems like commenters were generally on the TikToker’s side in this situation; but this isn’t the first time a dining situation has sparked a viral debate online. In fact, one delivery driver took over social media after showing what happens to orders when customers don’t tip.
