In the past, a TikToker named Brandon Marshall challenged Bryce Hall to a $50,000 boxing match. Unfortunately, it didn’t eventuate. But that hasn’t deterred another TikToker named Raza North from laying down a similar challenge. Raza wants to join Sway, which is odd since it’s supposedly not a thing anymore. He decided that challenging Bryce Hall to a competition was the best way to make it happen. So, he reportedly spent a whopping $50,000 on a Sunset Boulevard billboard. Raza laid out the rules on Instagram. “ITS TIME!!” he wrote. “Bryce Hall, I want to join Sway as a creative director/producer for the Sway YouTube channel. The billboard behind me is on Sunset Boulevard and is valued at $50,000.” “If I can beat you at what you’re good at [shotgunning, beer pong, or a three-round boxing match], you have to give me a chance,” he added. “If you win, you can use the remaining time on this billboard to advertise anything you want – on my dime. However, he did acknowledge the challenge by physically going down to the billboard and meeting Raza in person. Another streamer allegedly banned for sharing Twitch leak information Twitch/Unsplash: @EllaDonA Twitch streaming duo called ‘TheSerfs’ have been banned from Twitch after one of the creators allegedly shared personal information from a recent platform data leak. The Amazon-owned streaming site recently suffered from a massive security breach, revealing the revenue of thousands of creators as well as a ‘do not ban‘ list and even a ‘strike guide.‘ Multiple Twitch streamers have been speaking out about the revenue leak, with Ludwig explaining why the numbers being public is a good thing. Meanwhile, others like Hasan and xQc addressed people who were up in arms for how much money streamers make. ‘Destiny’ talked about the leaked ‘do not ban’ list, which included multiple Twitch employee emails, and was subsequently banned for seven days. Another such ban seems to have occurred with Twitch creator ‘TheSerfs,’ who was allegedly banned from the platform for sharing personal information from the leak. The creators said that they are trying to appeal the ban on their website stream, so we’ll have to wait and see if they come back to the platform before the end of their 30-day ban. Update October 19 – TheSerfs have been unbanned, claiming that their second appeal was successful after they told Twitch “everyone was talking about the leaks.” This turned their 30-day ban into just seven days.

Another member of the FaZe Clan has moved into their Fortnite team mansion FaZe Clan content creator Avery ‘Avxry’ Lopriore has moved into the FaZe team house, alongside teammates FaZe Adapt and FaZe Tfue. FaZe Adapt revealed the news in a YouTube video, where he stated that Avxry had moved into the mansion approximately a week before the vlog’s release on September 17. Avxry is a content creator for the FaZe esports and entertainment organization, with over 1.6 million subscribers on YouTube and 120,000 followers on Twitch. He is known for his popular Fortnite YouTube videos, and streams nearly every day on the platform. Avxry joined FaZe Clan in June of 2018 to warm welcomes. With his popular Fortnite channel, his move to the FaZe Fortnite house falls in line with the org’s strategy of bringing their Fortnite pros together under one roof. FaZe started his YouTube channel back in 2009, where he uploaded videos playing Call of Duty: Zombies. He has since moved on to Fortnite, garnering a massive audience under the title. Adapt finished off the introductory video with a VOD of the duo’s 30-kill gameplay. He stated that he hadn’t uploaded many FaZe house videos yet due to his teammate’s hectic schedules and recent moves into the mansion, but promised more content in the future. The eleven-bedroom abode now houses Avxry, Adapt, Temperrr, Cizzorz, and Tfue. Adapt stated that he was “really excited” to have Avxry as a housemate, and gave viewers a sneak peek of the player’s rather spartan quarters. With several more bedrooms left to fill, fans can expect more FaZe Clan members to make the move in the near future.

Anonymous letter accuses H3H3’s Ethan Klein of fabricating conspiracy plot YouTuber Ethan Klein of comedy duo H3H3 has been accused of using “racial divisions” to fabricate a scenario against his critics, as alleged by an anonymous post on website write.as. The letter, which surfaced on November 22 through Twitter user Dispatch, is written by an anonymous source, who claims that they once worked in public relations for H3H3 before having their contract ultimately terminated by the duo. According to the letter, Ethan had approached the writer’s manager about an hour-long video created by YouTuber Gokanaru in late October, which threw heavy criticism against Klein for a number of issues. CS:GO Twitch streamer Anomaly found this out the hard way during an unintentional face reveal that unfolded on his stream. Many content creators enjoy displaying their face on-stream and in videos, often as a way to help connect more deeply with their communities, but not every streamer or YouTuber follows the same philosophy. Some creators prefer to keep their appearance a secret, and oftentimes have great success while doing so. One content creator who’s grown exponentially while keeping his face (mostly) hidden, is CS:GO and Valorant powerhouse Ludwig ‘Anomaly’ Lagerstedt. The Swedish creator dons a ski mask every time he streams, and those masks have become a huge part of his online persona. Unfortunately, it was ‘mask off’ for Anomaly when a hiccup with his streaming software showed the creator’s face to his Twitch audience during a recent broadcast. During his stream on June 26, Anomaly was preparing to kick off a massive CS:GO event where he would open 4,000 cases (think lootboxes for non CS:GO players) while his viewers hung out and watched the results. As the creator was preparing to kick off the stream in earnest, his webcam window accidentally appeared on the Twitch broadcast and his chat immediately exploded into a frenzy over what they dubbed an ‘accidental face reveal.’ “Oops, that’s not the camera,” Anomaly remarked as he fiddled with his OBS settings, then burst into laughter after realizing his mistake. “Dude, my OBS is f**ked! Where’s the god damn camera dude?” he exclaimed as his viewers continued to spam Twitch chat with messages about the unintentional reveal. Anomaly, and what sounded like several other people in the background, laughed hysterically about the situation. After messing around with his settings a bit more, the streamer gave up and simply shut off his broadcast, giving his viewers a taste of Twitch’s blue screen of death. Despite what many would consider an unfortunate circumstance, Anomaly didn’t seem too fazed by the incident. His stream booted up again shortly after the surprise intermission started, and he carried on with his case opening without a care in the world.

AnneMunition hit with bizarre copyright strike for using random numbers Twitter: AnneMunition / YouTubePopular Twitch streamer ‘AnneMunition’ has received one of the weirdest YouTube copyright claims ever, with two of her videos being demonetized over the use of the numbers “36” and “50.” To protect copyright holders, YouTube has a system in place to demonetize or take down videos that infringe on various copyrights from around the world. It’s been widely criticized in the past for being anti-creator, with false claims being submitted daily. The claim, which was only made recently, is in regards to her 2017 video playthrough of The Witcher 3, but that’s not the part that has left AnneMunition confused. The claim, made by media company Fullscreen, was simply over the number “36.” There wasn’t anything else to do with what media they were trying to protect, or any timestamps, just that the number “36” was not AnneMunition’s property. Fullscreen describe themselves as a “social content company for talent and brands” on their company website. They are owned by Otter Media, a subsidiary of WarnerMedia, who doesn’t hold the license for The Witcher 3, or any trademarks related to the number “36.” That wasn’t the only number Fullscreen tried to claim against the Twitch streamer. Another one of her videos was hit with a claim for the number “50.” This is problematic for AnneMunition’s YouTube channel, because while claims are active, Fullscreen takes all monetization for the video. While the videos are over two years old, with both having very little views, they still leave a stain on her YouTube record. TikTok star Anna Shumate apologizes for offensive ‘dark humor’ jokes Instagram: Anna ShumateControversial TikTok star Anna Shumate apologized for making racist comments about African-Americans and Jewish people, acknowledging they were well beyond “dark humor” jokes. Earlier this week, Anna Shumate came under fire to make anti-Semitic and racist comments on her secondary TikTok account. Some fans brushed it off as ‘dark humor,’ while others claimed it was highly offensive. Either way, it was a controversial issue that took social media by storm. Now, she’s finally come forward and admitted it was wrong, apologizing to everyone she offended. She also announced that she’d be taking an extended break from social media but will proactively work to try and right her wrongs. “[I want to apologize] again and [tell] you that I will be taking a break from social media,” she said. “I will be answering my DMs and talking to people one on one. If you want to reach out to me, you can.” Anna explained that she’d been talking to some of the people she offended and “responding and listening” because “that’s what [she] wants to do.” She also promised to post about them on social media and do her part in “spreading awareness.” “It was not right what I said, and I hope the people that said it was okay for me to say it understand that it really wasn’t and all of these topics are very sensitive topics for people, and I am deeply sorry to everybody that I have offended.” In addition to her apology, she also posted a series of videos talking about all the issues she ‘joked’ about. It included everything from antisemitism, racism, and self-harm to women’s rights. Fans have had mixed reactions to her apology. Some claimed she’s only apologizing because she got called out and believe she’s only doing it to save face. Others think it’s a step in the right direction, at the very least, and hope it was an important lesson.

And that is the last time I am ever going to speak on that until it is in a court setting.” “If she or anybody else wants to have any conversation about that, take me to court. The cops were already involved. Taylor had the opportunity to go to the courthouse. The cops told her that. The cops told me and her the same thing. If either one of us wants to press charges, we can.” She did admit that she “owed” Taylor apologies for many other things, such as contributing to her drug use. However, she doesn’t hold herself accountable for “all” of it because she claimed Taylor would often do them with or without her. Anna also apologized to Kaylee Jade for physically assaulting her. “The sh*t that went down between Kaylee and I is inexcusable,” she said. “I don’t care what kind of drugs I was on. I don’t care what kind of episode I was in. I don’t care what mental illness was acting up.” “I really see how toxic of a person I am… and how I ruin everybody around me because of my own selfish patterns and habits… When I get to a point, I completely lose it. I completely just lose touch with reality.” Anna revealed they had a “huge fight” while she was on an “extreme amount” of drugs. “I turned and grabbed her and flipped her over onto the ground… and it was really f**king scary…. it turned me into a monster,” she said. “I’m so sorry to Kaylee. It was very physical, and it was very scary.” It wasn’t the only time where things got physical between them. However, Anna claimed the other times mostly consisted of “grabbing” and getting in each other’s faces and that the bruises on Kaylee’s neck were ‘hickies.’ Anna’s first girlfriend, Natalia Taylor, commented on the video. She told Anna to stop using her YouTube channel as a personal diary and urged her to get off the internet and seek help to deal with her mental health issues instead. The victims, like Taylor and Kaylee, have rejected the YouTuber’s apology. Taylor has set up a legal fund so she can “finally have justice against my rapist and abuser. “All [of] Anna Campbell’s victims deserve justice.”

Anime reaction YouTuber Suzy Lu responds to “frustrating” channel ban Suzy Lu, a popular YouTuber known for her reaction videos to iconic anime series “Naruto,” suffered a complete channel termination after a copyright bot repeatedly struck her videos in late December. Lu is the latest victim in a string of similar cases, with many YouTubers bemoaning the platform’s copyright ID system, which has even flagged their own original content, such as “TheFatRat” having his own song stricken by another channel. However, Lu saw her entire channel terminated over an error on YouTube’s end — although she originally pinned the blame on a copyright bot from Japanese television network TV Tokyo. According to Lu, she received a slew of copyright claims from TV Tokyo near the end of the year, which she was thankfully able to fight off using YouTube’s dispute system despite being temporarily banned from uploading content. “It’s a really confusing time in the anime industry just now because people who are using split-seconds of footage are also getting caught in this bot,” she explained. “So literally, Fair Use is just out the window.” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sMJVmCwl-bw However, that wasn’t the end of her worries: days later, Lu’s entire channel was terminated, after TV Tokyo submitted yet another bot that blocked “about 25 to 30” of her videos. Gone? Anime Expo in LA labeled a “safety hazard” due to massive crowding TikTok: xokyoshiAnime Expo is a popular event in Los Angeles, drawing in large crowds and requiring plenty of space and organization to ensure safety. However, one TikToker’s experience left her concerned that the expo she was attending was a “safety hazard”. Los Angeles’ Anime Expo is a big deal for anime and manga lovers alike, inviting fans to come together and celebrate Japanese pop culture. Hosting a large variety of events, workshops, and focus panels, there is plenty to see during the four-day event. However, one fan was less than impressed with the event’s organization, posting a TikTok to show the mass overcrowding taking place. Filming from the second floor overlooking the entrance, TikToker ‘xokyoshi’ who goes by Bunny, showed just how many people had been crammed into the entrance room. “Everybody is at a standstill trying to get onto these escalators,” Bunny pointed out, showing the packed escalator on her right. “And there’s no way for them to do it [because] everyone is trying to get there.” Bunny concluded the TikTok by saying, “If there is a fire or an earthquake, we’re all f***ing dying.” She also revealed that to make matters worse, the escalator ultimately ended up breaking. With the TikTok quickly becoming viral, many shocked viewers shared their concerns over safety in the comments. “They really need to rope off walking corridors with staff guiding people this is wild,” one person said. The tag “PhotoAnimation” has amassed over 11-million views on TikTok. A number of these videos make use of the animation effect, which has gained traction this week (July 5). TikTokers are using the effect to remember relatives who have passed away. From girlfriends to grandmas; these videos are guaranteed to get you in your feelings. The effect works by detecting a face; whether that’s a still photo, drawing or reflection. It then triggers a series of facial expressions and head movements. Several TikToks have shown still images moving their head from side to side, eyes looking around and lips smiling. User @charaf_elldine provides the original sound; an echoing, slow-paced song adding to the atmosphere of the effect. “My dad never saw my 2 birthday,” one TikTok user said. “This filter made me smile.” The effect is then applied to an old photo of her dad, who smiles and winks at her. “I have no video of my wife,” said 87-year old TikToker “Grandad” Joe while using the effect on a black-and-white photo. “This nearly broke me.” A similar effect went viral back in March 2021. The ‘deep nostalgia’ effect from external site MyHeritage also re-animated still photos, and were used to bring new life to lost loved ones. How do I use the Animation effect? Now, animal protection society SPCA has announced that it is actively searching for her. Alinity has been subject to a fair few controversies in her time on Twitch, but nothing compares to her most recent cat abuse drama where viewers and fellow streamers alike are outraged over her actions. Now, animal protection service SPCA has announced that it is looking into the accusations of animal cruelty and is actively trying to locate the streaming star. The SPCA is searching for Alinity According to local radio station ‘650 CKOM‘, communications co-ordinator for the Saskatoon SPCA Jasmine Hanson said that the society is searching for Alinity but are having difficulties. “Right now, we’re just trying to identify the individual and locate her address,” she stated. “The reason this is so important is because if we want to investigate the situation, we obviously have to identify the person, and usually a social media profile isn’t enough to go on.” The Saskatoon-based service believes the female streamer is located in the city, but if not, it says it’ll have to delegate the search to a different agency. Hanson then went on to say that the fact there’s video evidence of Alinity throwing her cat means that there’s more chance of the society proving its case against her. “Quite often it’s very difficult for us to prove cases of neglect or cruelty because we don’t have something such as video evidence, so this case is quite unique in that way,” Hanson said. TikTok has emerged as a thriving hub of viral content over the past few years, with users constantly looking for new trends to participate in and share on the platform. However, not all trends are safe, whether it involves experts warning against arching your feet to recreate a Barbie scene or users holding their breath until they pass out. Now, animal activists are warning against a TikTok fad that sees people filming themselves grabbing their pets under their front legs, lifting the animals into the air and spinning them around in circles. Most videos feature cats, but you will also find dogs, turtles, and even pigs being twirled around. The controversial trend has been taking over the app since August, and has been dubbed as the ‘Taylor Swift August trend,’ as most of these posts are set to the songstress’ popular 2020 track. Experts warn against harmful TikTok trend Central behavior officer Daniel Warren-Cummings of the UK animal advocacy group Cats Protection Animal Services spoke to Metro about the dangers of the trend. “At no point should an animal deliberately be put in a position to feel fear, anxiety, frustration or experience pain for the benefit of human entertainment,” he told the outlet. “Cats in particular will experience extreme stress by being swung or spun around, and it could even cause them physical harm. In the videos highlighted, the cats are showing clear signs of distress.” He continued: “Even more disappointingly, these are being described as cute or funny in the comments section by people who appear to count themselves as cat lovers.” Daniel is worried that the people posting these videos aren’t in tune with their pets’ behavior. “It’s clear from the language that the owners don’t understand that animals don’t feel and behave the same way humans do and this undercuts the distress that the cats are experiencing,” he explained. The UK animal activist also noted that even if the actions in the video are brief, it is still “unethical and should not be encouraged.”

AngryReactions ‘steals’ Charli D’Amelio’s TikTok account On August 29, Oneya ‘AngryReactions’ D’Amelio uploaded a video with the caption “I stole Charli’s phone.” To help convince users who were scrolling through the mobile app, Oneya changed his display name to Charli D’Amelio as well. He also turned the comments off on the video which prompted his followers to join his TikTok live stream. (Click here if TikTok doesn’t load) Shortly after, Oneya uploaded another video promoting his Twitch account — this time leaving comments enabled for fans to react. At the time of writing, his first video has received over 1.6m views with his second video gaining nearly 200,000. (Click here if TikTok doesn’t load) Hundreds of AngryReactions followers took to the comments on his second video to share their thoughts. One user commented: “I fr thought u stole Charli’s phone.” “bro, I actually thought you stole her phone for a sec,” another replied. A third user said: “Didn’t think you were Charlie cause I follow you and not Charli.”

The title of the thread reads ‘xQc added new Twitch emotes without paying creators after promising to do so on stream‘ and says xQc promised to pay his artist after uploading emotes. Did xQc refuse to pay an artist? In the initial thread, many fans came to the defense of xQc by saying the clip shown was taken out of context and the artist who created xqcJoy, one of xQc’s emotes, responded saying he never expected to be paid in the first place. “It already made my day that he added it but won’t say no to free money,” Reddit user mrmarvmarvv wrote. A user responded and said he earned the money, which is something the creator said he never thought of that way. A viewer tipped off xQc about the LSF post and he had a response to it by saying the emote he uploaded was sitting in his subreddit from months ago and wasn’t part of a contest. “The emotes that are on the thread are already posted from a while back,” he explained. “It was intended for us to use them in the first place.” He argues the original post was just created to fit a narrative and blast xQc, despite not knowing the complete context. In the end, it seems like a no harm no foul type situation but xQc does raise a fair point about how easy it is to take information out of context based on a Twitch clip. This incident seems to clear xQc of any wrongdoing but for those just seeing the initial clip, it’s easy to see how someone would think otherwise. xQc removed the emote In light of the controversy, xQc has taken down the emote. While his fans and himself maintain it was a misunderstanding, in an effort to avoid further issues, the decision to remove it has been made.

The entire altercation was caught on video by TikToker ‘ggarbagefairy,’ showing several women dressed in beach attire as they relaxed on the sand while a man in shorts, a tanktop and a backwards baseball cap berated them over their choice of clothing. “Why are you dressed this way?” the man asked, prompting a collective outcry from the women he was addressing. “That’s a thong, and that’s a bra! Take young eyes into consideration, they don’t need to see ******* right in front of their eyes.” “We’re not bothering you, please go away! First reported by TMZ, law enforcement sources claimed a woman called the police to report an incident that occurred in a local Californian hotel. The domestic dispute allegedly began as a verbal disagreement before turning physical. Little else is known about the altercation beyond the fact the woman allegedly harmed did not require medical aid. The influencer quickly posted the $50,000 bail to be released. Johnson’s rise to fame kicked off in early 2022 under the Angry Reactions persona. Despite his visually furious appearance, the TikToker would often leave sincere messages in response to other viral clips or comments from fans. In response to this, Twitch streamer Noah Hugbox created a video calling out Dream and his fanbase. Despite stating that he didn’t believe Dream was an intentional manipulator, he did claim that the Minecraft personality was held hostage by his fans and afraid of them. As a result, some of Dream’s followers decided to flag his video, resulting in it being restricted on the platform. The 19-year-old girl, who has not been publicly named, was charged with disorderly behavior, property damage and assault as a result of the incident. In a viral TikTok clip, she was filmed hurling abuse at McDonald’s employees before heading into the kitchen and preparing herself a burger. “I will beat you up or I will leave!” she shouted at staff in the video, as she grabbed herself two drinks before looking inside a paper bag, asking, “What’s in that?” Ignoring the employees’ requests for her to leave, she later helped herself to a bottle of water before finally being detained by two cops. The police said in a statement: “About 10.35pm on Thursday, December 29, police were called to a fast food outlet on Hindley Street after reports of a woman acting disorderly. “It will be alleged the woman damaged a door and threw a bottle of water at staff. “A 19-year-old woman from the northern suburbs was arrested and charged with disorderly behaviour, property damage and assault.” In the comment section, TikTok users were shocked by the 19-year-old’s antics. “Omg the poor workers, their adrenaline would have been so high,” one user wrote. “Wtf she needs to be escorted out this behavior is unacceptable,” another commented. “It’s really sad people have to go to work and deal with this stuff and most of them are probably teenagers,” a third added. “Disgusting. Unfortunately for the bystander, he turned his head for a little bit too long and walked straight into a wooden beam, hitting his head. Android TikTok users urged to update app after “high-severity vulnerability” discovered Unsplash: Olivier BergeronTikTok users on Android are being urged to ensure their app is up to date, after Microsoft discovered and fixed a “high-severity vulnerability.” On August 31, the Microsoft 365 Defender Research Team revealed that they had discovered a “high-severity vulnerability” in the TikTok app for Android, which they say potentially could have allowed attackers to compromise people’s accounts with just one click. They explained that although they found no evidence of “in-the-wild exploitation” of the vulnerability, attackers could have modified users’ profiles and sensitive account information if the user clicked on a “specially crafted link,” allowing potential attackers to post private videos and send messages. Microsoft explained: “The vulnerability allowed the app’s deeplink verification to be bypassed. Attackers could force the app to load an arbitrary URL to the app’s WebView, allowing the URL to then access the WebView’s attached JavaScript bridges and grant functionality to attackers.” They notified TikTok of the vulnerability, which was rated as high severity with a score of 8.3, through Coordinated Vulnerability Disclosure in February 2022, as part of their responsible disclosure policy. TikTok responded by releasing a fix to address the vulnerability, which has been identified as CVE-2022-28799, “in an updated version of the app released less than a month after the initial disclosure.” Microsoft wrote: “We commend the efficient and professional resolution from the TikTok security team. Despite being one of the most significant instances of deplatforming we’ve seen in recent history, Tate would let the world know via his new social platforms that he “didn’t feel canceled.” But despite how the crypto trading mogul may feel, the numbers reflect a drastic dip in popularity. Once boasting the title of the most searched man on the internet, his relevance has seen a steep decline as his popularity diminishes. Andrew Tate’s popularity declines after being deplatformed Tate’s popularity peaked between August 21 and 27 in the middle of his deplatforming with the former kickboxer making headlines across the internet. But it wouldn’t take long before Andrew Tate’s search volume would drop by 60%, with his name being searched fewer and fewer times each day. But his decline in popularity goes beyond Google’s search metrics. He’s no longer making frequent guest appearances on podcasts, he’s not been on Twitch since he removed his channel, and TikTok – where he garnered most of his followers via fan accounts – has stopped exposing its users to his content. A December 29 report, initially from Romanian outlet Libertatea claimed that Andrew Tate’s home in Pipera had been raided by Romanian police in relation to the abduction of two girls. Now, Tate and his brother have both been taken into custody. The raid is said to be carried out by DIICOT, the Directorate for Investigating Organized Crime and Terrorism in Bucharest. As the news broke, a clip emerged showing Tate being led out of the villa in police custody. Tate was arrested on the suspicion of human trafficking, rape, and organized crime relating to a “cam girl business”, prosecutors told Reuters. DIICOT, according to a translation, said an investigation began at the start of 2021 into a human trafficking ring in the country. The ring allegedly misled victims into marriage before moving them to Romania and “sexually exploiting” them using “physical violence and mental coercion.” They have since executed five search warrants on December 29. Four people were detained for 24 hours. No names were released. Romanian newspaper Gândul has reported that Andrew’s clash with climate activist Greta Thunberg played a key part in the authorities confirming that both brothers were in the country at the same time. Speaking to Romanian outlet Gandul, Vidineac said that the Tate brothers were “changed from witnesses to suspects, and from suspects to defendants, on the evening of December 29, 2022.” He said this caused a number of logistical issues for his defense team, explaining, “we had the opportunity, as defense attorneys, to study the criminal investigation file 45 minutes before the start of the hearing […] which had over 100 pages.” Andrew Tate’s lawyer on rape accusation: “There is no evidence” The rape allegation has been brought by a woman from Moldova, Gandul reports. Whoever gets the most views on a video showing that KSI needs to be condemned and canceled. The world needs to know KSI is a hypocrite, who has done horrible things, and that he should be canceled himself,” it reads. “You have 48 hours for this one. And many attribute his popularity to the Hustler’s University affiliate program. For a monthly fee of $50, Hustler’s University offers lessons on crypto investing and drop shipping claiming students can earn tens of thousands of dollars a month. It also offered an affiliate program allowing currently enrolled students to recruit new ones in exchange for a commission. According to The Guardian, affiliate program members were encouraged to start “arguments” by posting controversial clips of Andrew Tate to apps like TikTok to generate referrals. This led to a surge in new “Andrew Tate” TikTok accounts with Hustler’s University affiliate links in their bios. Andrew Tate’s ‘Hustler’s University’ closes affiliate program On August 20, the day after Tate was banned on Facebook and Instagram, Hustler’s University shut down its affiliate program stating it has “no future.” However, this news comes a month after Stripe – the payment platform the money-making school used – pulled out of processing digital payments for the academy. While Stripe did not comment directly on why it stopped working with HU, it stated its policies bar certain activities such as “get rich quick schemes”. Hustler’s University has also been experiencing a decline in active members as it currently sits at ~109k. This can be compared to the 127k members the academy boasted just two weeks ago. And this decline could be due to the recent uptick in policy enforcement on TikTok resulting in numerous Andrew Tate videos and accounts being removed from the platform. AP reports “dozens of police officers and forensic personnel were scouring Tate’s large property on the edge of the capital Bucharest.” A spokesperson for Tate said, “although the charges in the search warrant are not yet fully clarified, they include suspicions of human trafficking and money laundering.” However, they did not mention the allegations involving minors. In a statement, DIICOT said: “During the entire criminal process, the investigated persons benefit from the procedural rights and guarantees provided by the Code of Criminal Procedure, as well as the presumption of innocence.” The brothers – along with two Romanian women – were initially arrested in 2022, and held in custody before being released on house arrest. They are no longer under house arrest, but cannot leave Romania. They were permitted to travel within the European Union on July 5. This decision was later overturned, meaning they must remain in Romania as they await trial. Under Romanian law, if found guilty, Andrew and Tristan Tate could be imprisoned for as long as ten years for trafficking adults. Andrew Tate’s Bugatti and other cars reportedly seized In the report, Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan have had their house and cars seized by DIICOT prosecutors. “The DIICOT prosecutors also seized the impressive car collection of the two famous millionaires, worth over 5 million euros. They also seized several buildings, including the building where the two brothers lived, and allegedly seized six young women,” the report reads. Among the car collection that was seized is Andrew’s infamous Bugatti Chiron, which is valued at roughly 3,000,000 euros as well as a Rolls Royce, two Ferrari’s, and a Porsche. On top of the cars, the report also suggests that the brothers’ villa in Bucharest has been seized as well, and comes with a value of approximately seven million euros. Andrew Tate release appeal denied for fifth time As per reports from Romania, the Tates were granted separate appeals to, once again, be released early, with Andrew’s coming on March 14 and Tristan’s on March 15. Andrew’s has since been rejected by a judge, with the controversial personality remaining detained until March 29 at the earliest. Though, he has until March 16 to appeal. “The court rejects the request to replace the measure of preventive arrest with the measure of judicial control on bail formulated by the defendant TEA as inadmissible in principle. With the right of appeal within 48 hours of communication,” a judge told the Romanian outlet Libertatea. Sky News has confirmed that Tate’s lawyers will, again, appeal the decision. With Andrew’s appeal being rejected, it’s very likely that his brother’s appeal will also fail, and that the pair will remain in custody until the end of the month.

According to the BBC, the pair are subject to “judicial controls” until October, which includes reporting to the police when ordered and informing officials if they plan to change their addresses. The Tates are also prohibited from contacting the female Romanian associates also involved in the case, as well as any alleged victims or witnesses that may be involved. Breaking those controls would see them, at the very least, placed back under house arrest. Though, there is also the possibility that they would be detained again by police. As noted, their trial is not set to happen for at least a few years and this change won’t speed up that process. It just means they’re free to leave their compound.

The indictment filed in Bucharest court names seven alleged victims recruited by the Tate brothers through this method. A start date for the trial has not been confirmed yet. Before this, a judge must inspect the case files, and has 60 days to do so. The BBC reports that the trial is expected to take several years. During that time, it’s unclear whether the brothers, and the two women also accused, will remain under house arrest.

The letter is reported to have threatened to sue the accuser and her parents for $300m (£249m) if she did not retract her statements. Previously claiming that a mysterious “matrix” was to blame for his legal troubles, he has now addressed the human trafficking allegation head-on.
