Art streamer slams Twitch after being banned for drawing woman Art streamer ShyBear has hit out at Twitch following a three-day suspension she received for drawing a woman during a broadcast, and also asked the Amazon-owned platform to rethink its ban policy. The platform has been very clear in the past as to what kinds of art is a violation of its Community Guidelines – usually ones that show too much of certain body parts – and hasn’t been shy when banning streamers who cross the line. ShyBear has asked Twitch to rethink its ban policy though, after she was suspended for her drawing of a woman that she claims didn’t break the rules. Banned for woman drawing On January 11, the streamer posted on Twitter to complain about her sudden suspension from the platform. “THIS is what got me a [three] day ban on Twitch. Please rethink how you guys do bans and ban people that actually deserve it,” she tweeted, alongside a photograph of her art. The offending drawing in question was the beginning stages of a depiction of a standing woman from behind, with an outline of their buttocks and a side profile of their chest on show. https://twitter.com/ShyBearLIVE/status/1216204384448733185 The artist’s ban could have been a result of how she titled her broadcast, as one of her followers pointed out in a reply to the original tweet. “You couldn’t even see [the] drawing on stream,” they said. “Probably cause [of your stream description], who knows, but it’s dumb.” “I think that’s what it is. But regardless – I described the painting, not myself,” the 26-year-old replied. “You are allowed to do portraits without [showing too much]… It barely had anything on it yet.” https://twitter.com/ShyBearLIVE/status/1216369297813057539 The platform’s Community Guidelines state that art that shows ‘too much’ “may be allowed in educational contexts or for pre-approved licensed content, in each case subject to additional restrictions.” ShyBear is known for her variety streams in the Just Chatting section of Twitch, where she interacts with her viewers by doing activities such as drawing, Just Dance games, and hot sauce challenges.

Arsenal FC player makes thousands from his Fortnite Creative map – Dexerto
Arsenal FC player makes thousands from his Fortnite Creative map ArsenalA youth player for Arsenal FC made absolute fortunes from Fortnite before their football career took off. Over the years, we’ve seen several football players, and even clubs, enter the world of gaming and esports. Notably, Manchester City star Sergio Agüero co-founded the Argentine organization KRÜ Esports. Other examples include the German club Schalke 04, which once competed in the LEC — the top flight of League of Legends esports. Reuell Walters, a youth player for Arsenal football club, has also had an unexpected success in gaming, earning thousands overnight through Fortnite. Arsenal youth player makes thousands from Fortnite Walters first kickstarted his career in 2015, joining Tottenham Hotspur at the age of 11… although his long tenure with the club would eventually come to an end in 2019, leaving his future uncertain. Facing contract issues with several premier league clubs, and being unable to play academy football, Reuell would inevitably pick up a controller and begin playing Epic Games’ Fortnite. Following the release of the battle royale’s creative mode, where players can create their own custom map, RJW’s BoxPVP began picking up traction. Walters’ map was so popular he eventually received an email from Epic Games saying he had made $20, presumably through the game’s creator code. Although afraid it may be a scam, the family later set up a PayPal account — and by December 2019, over 250 million people had played Reuell’s map in one week, earning the youngster $11,000 in just one night alone according to The Athletic. But his career in gaming would come to an end as a year the teenager would eventually join his boyhood club Arsenal’s under-16s, and would later sign his first professional contract. Walters has since flourished with the North London club. Recently, the 18-year-old was called up to the first team and made his first premier league appearance on the bench in place of the injured William Saliba.

Arnold Schwarzenegger open to starring in movie alongside Jake & Logan Paul – Dexerto
Arnold Schwarzenegger open to starring in movie alongside Jake & Logan Paul Gage Skidmore/Instagram/JakePaul/LoganPaulMovie icon and professional bodybuilder Arnold Schwarzenegger is interested in a possible big screen team-up with YouTubers turned professional boxing brothers Jake and Logan Paul. Arnold Schwarzenegger and Logan Paul are teaming up to host the Slap Fighting Championship on March 5, marking the first time the two will be working side-by-side. In the lead-up to the tournament, The Terminator appeared on Logan’s Impaulsive podcast where he revealed that he actually is a fan of the brothers and admires how much effort they put into their craft. During a press conference on March 1, Arnold explained to Dexerto that he might even want to star in a movie with the YouTubers if such an opportunity were to ever present itself. Arnold Schwarzenegger praises Logan Paul While the former Governor of California admitted that the two hadn’t yet discussed being in a movie together, he did offer up more praise for the two. “We haven’t talked about that at all, but as I mentioned I’m a big fan of theirs because they work so hard,” he said. “There’s a lot of people out there in social media who are all about dialogue, connections and this and that… I’m a big admirer of someone who is strong on social media and can back it up.” According to Arnold, he’s watched every one of their fights and noted how they’ve inspired him by creating original content. (segment begins at 39:18 for mobile users) Will Arnold Schwarzenegger & Logan Paul make a film together? “It’s natural for us to want to do business together and promote something together,” he explained, saying that further projects may come down to how this slap fight championship pans out. “Where that takes us, whether it’s movies or whatever, we don’t know where this is going to go.” While Arnold didn’t rule out a possible movie with the brothers, Logan Paul was eager for the chance to star alongside the film star. “Yeah, obviously,” he smirked. “Of course.” Logan isn’t the first Paul brother interested in making a Hollywood blockbuster. Last year, Jake Paul teased a buddy cop movie with former opponent Tyron Woodley. Nothing has materialized just yet, but it goes to show that both Pauls are intrigued by the prospect of making films. Whether or not we see the influencers in a film with Arnold Schwarzenegger remains to be seen, but if the success of this upcoming slap event is anything to go by, they’ll be back.

Arnold Schwarzenegger gives workout advice to LCS caster – Dexerto
Arnold Schwarzenegger gives workout advice to LCS caster Skydance/Twitter/CaptainFlowersWorld-famous actor and bodybuilder Arnold Schwarzenegger shared some kind words of encouragement and advice to League of Legends Championship Series caster Clayton ‘CaptainFlowers’ Raines. The LCS shoutcaster posted a recently-resurfaced screengrab of a Reddit comment by Schwarzenegger where he responded to a fan asking for the actor to yell at him to “hit the gym.” In the comment, the former Governor of California told the user that he was “not going to be that hard” on him and urged the individual to not be hard on himself. “…we all go through failure. Sometimes life is a workout. But the key thing is you get up.” I am incredibly unforgiving to myself. Reading something like this means a lot coming from someone I’ve looked up to my entire life. Thanks for writing these words @Schwarzenegger, you’re a man among men. pic.twitter.com/7jmupQcbg4 — Clayton Raines (@CaptainFlowers) March 10, 2020 Raines, who admitted he was “incredibly unforgiving” to himself, took The Terminator star’s words to heart. He wrote that they meant a lot as he’d looked up to Arnold for his entire life. “Thanks for writing these words,” he concluded, tagging the Austrian in the tweet. “You’re a man among men.” Little did Raines know, Arnold was going to not only read the kind message, but respond directly to him in a quote tweet. Always remember that beating yourself up takes energy you could be using on actions to build yourself up and make you feel better instead of using that energy to tear yourself down. https://t.co/43kCRzPNtq — Arnold (@Schwarzenegger) March 10, 2020 In a heartwarming reply, the 72-year-old gave the LCS caster some advice going forward. “Always remember that beating yourself up takes energy you could be using on actions to build yourself up and make you feel better instead of using that energy to tear yourself down,” he proclaimed. The original screengrab of the Reddit post by Schwarzenegger has since gone viral on the MadeMeSmile subreddit where it was up-voted 77,000 times. The Predator star even ended up replying directly to the post with a similar message he gave to CaptainFlowers. “Any energy you waste being negative about yourself is energy you can’t use to improve yourself so you feel better,” he advised. One has to wonder if this is the last we’ll see of Schwarzenegger interacting with League personalities or if he’ll be back at it again.

Arnold Schwarzenegger explains why he admires Jake and Logan Paul – Dexerto
Arnold Schwarzenegger explains why he admires Jake and Logan Paul Impaulsive/Instagram: loganpaulHollywood legend and former Governor of California Arnold Schwarzenegger has explained why he has so much admiration for Logan and Jake Paul during his appearance on Logan’s Impaulsive podcast. Arnold Schwarzenegger is one of the most recognizable names and faces on the planet. From a tough upbringing, he became an elite bodybuilder, played The Terminator, and went on to become Governor of California from 2003 to 2011. He’s done a lot of admirable work throughout his life and career and is a hero to many. That’s why it might be a surprise to some to see him expressing his admiration for the divisive YouTube creators. Arnie went on the Impaulsive podcast and spoke about his life and career, as well as his upcoming role as co-host of the Slap Fighting Championship alongside Logan. Amid the general chatter, though, Schwarzenegger found himself talking a bit about Logan and Jake and explaining why he’s a fan of the duo. “You have this in you, this desire to grow, or you don’t,” he told the older Paul brother. “That is why today I am sitting here doing this podcast. Because I admire you guys. “I always say to everyone, ‘this is so great’. Just ordinary guys from Ohio that go and say ‘we want to be special. We don’t want to just be ordinary guys, and we’re willing to put the effort into it. We’re willing to make the sacrifices, we’re willing to fight for it…’. It was so refreshing to have guys like this come on the scene.” The star went on to say that he “loves” how Jake and Logan do things differently from everyone else, with a clearly starstruck Logan saying that he is “honored” to receive such praise. Logan has recently made clear his intentions to follow in footsteps similar to Arnie’s, too, by entering into a career in politics. Logan isn’t targeting being a governor, though: he wants to become president of the United States.

Arnold Schwarzenegger congratulates MrBeast on insane body transformation – Dexerto
Arnold Schwarzenegger congratulates MrBeast on insane body transformation Twitter: mrbeast / YouTube: Men’s HealthThe one and only Arnold Schwarzenegger wants to lift with MrBeast after the YouTube star showed off his insane body transformation amid his ongoing weight loss journey. Jimmy ‘MrBeast’ Donaldson is YouTube’s most-subscribed individual content creator, successfully beating out PewDiePie’s record in 2022. Although he’s usually laser-focused on creating the best videos possible (even breaking records on YouTube), he’s also started another major journey — a weight loss journey. Earlier this month, MrBeast opened up about his health and fitness goals on Twitter, saying he’s been “lifting rigorously for ten months” in an effort to get in shape from being “obese to lean.” However, the YouTuber didn’t share any pictures of his progress, claiming he’d save the big reveal for a later date… and that date came mere weeks later. MrBeast shows off insane body transformation amid weight loss journey On June 29, MrBeast showed off his incredible body transformation in a tweet that’s gone viral, including a before photo and an after photo. “Woke up and realized I was obese, so I started lifting and walking 12,500 steps a day,” he explained. “Still got a long way to being yoked, but I’m happy with my progress so far.” Arnold Schwarzenegger wants to lift with MrBeast after YouTuber shares weight loss photos It looks like MrBeast’s transformation even caught the eye of Hollywood star, bodybuilding champion, and former California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, who congratulated the YouTuber on his progress — and even extended an invitation to lift with him. “Wow – fantastic work,” Arnie wrote in response to MrBeast’s post. “Keep pumping and inspiring people! Let me know if you’re in LA and want to get a lift in.” It looks like MrBeast is down for a workout, as he replied: “Yo, that’d be awesome.” Can we expect a MrBeast x Arnie video collab in the future? MrBeast isn’t the only big YouTuber making health and lifestyle changes; back in 2020, YouTube king PewDiePie shocked fans by revealing his muscular transformation in a viral photo on social media.

Aris Hits Back at PewDiePie Fans After Being Shown in Handshake Cringe Video – Dexerto
Aris Hits Back at PewDiePie Fans After Being Shown in Handshake Cringe Video Tekken commentator and streamer Aris ‘AvoidingThePuddle’ was a bit annoyed at the response from his feature in one of Pewdiepie’s videos. Felix ‘Pewdiepie’ Kjellberg, known as ‘The King of YouTube’ for having the greatest amount of subscribers on the platform, uploaded a video dissecting handshake blunders in the esports realm. One of the clips used in his video featured a VOD from Headstomper 2018, a fighting game tournament in Denmark. In the VOD, Tekken 7 pro UYU | Fergus had an awkward hug with fellow player 200K | Signor Farfalla. Aris, known for his commentary for the game and entertaining streams, commentated over the clip. “That is absurd, dude! That is the most fucked up mix-up I’ve ever seen, and he was not even ready.” While Pewdiepie found Aris’s reaction amusing, he also expressed some confusion as to who he was. “Wait – is this Hagrid? Why is Hagrid commenting over handshakes?” The fighting game community took notice of Aris’s presence in the video and made sure to tell him about it during one of his streams. Aris was over it, and in his usual blunt honesty told one commenter what he thought about the near-constant barrage over the debacle. “Do you not realize that I’ve been streaming for hours and every nine-year-old bitch on the internet has been repeating that same stupid shit to me all day? …My whole Twitter is filled with Pewdiepie fans. You are one dumb motherfucker.” Quite a few clips from the fighting game community were featured in the compilation, including RISE | Smug’s Top 8 match against GHOST | NuckleDu at CEO 2017. Pewdiepie’s video has since been removed, but copies of it exist across the platform under other channels.

AriGameplays overtakes Amouranth as second most popular female Twitch streamer – Dexerto
AriGameplays overtakes Amouranth as second most popular female Twitch streamer Twitch: Amouranth/AriGameplaysTwitch streamer AriGameplays has overtaken Amouranth to become the second most popular female creator on the platform. The Mexican variety streamer overtook Amouranth in terms of Twitch followers according to last month’s analystics, leaving her behind Pokimane as the top female Twitch streamer. AriGameplays has been on a massive growth streak for the last few years, and it looks like that surge in popularity has finally paid off. AriGameplays now second only to Pokimane as top female Twitch streamer AriGameplays rose to prominence for a variety of content. She’s played Fortnite, Valorant and Minecraft, but also spend a lot of time creating Just Chatting content. She’s now reached 6.4 million followers on Twitch, which is still a way away from Pokimane’s 9.3 million, which makes the Offline TV member the tenth most-followed streamer on the entire platform. Amouranth recently made headlines for her move to Kick in June, following in the footsteps of xQc. She represented another major content creator who made the jump to the alternative streaming platform. At one point, Amouranth was the most-watched female streamer, though these numbers are in constant flux. She’s also been at the center of controversy and has risked bans for inappropriate conduct several times. One of those breaches happened early on in her streaming on Kick, when Amouranth came close to a ban for twerking on stream, which viewers suggested could be a breach of Kick’s rules against “sexually suggestive content”. For more news and updates on the top Twitch streamers, check out our breakdown of the top 20 most popular creators on the platform here.

AriGameplays explodes in popularity after long-awaited Twitch return – Dexerto
AriGameplays explodes in popularity after long-awaited Twitch return Twitch: AriGameplaysMexican streamer AriGameplays is finally back on Twitch and having some incredible success, picking up close to half a million followers in only a few weeks. In the past, getting banned from Twitch could be a bit of a death sentence for streamers. There have been other platforms to pivot to, but things have changed in the last few years. Many streamers have voluntarily ditched Twitch for YouTube and Facebook, but there are plenty still making a switch because of punishment from Twitch. In the case of popular Mexican stream AriGameplays, she was banned from Twitch in late 2019, first heading to stream on nonolive before switching to Facebook Gaming. However, she’s since made her return to Twitch and is seeing success. https://twitter.com/arigameplays/status/1436026624223465477 When the streamer made her return on September 10, over 90,000 viewers tuned in to watch her first stream back and while viewership has dropped off a bit, she’s still averaging a decent chunk of viewers. However, it’s in the follower game where she’s seen her biggest gains. Since that return, AriGameplays has picked up close to 500,000 new followers, taking her to just a tick over 2.2 million in total. According to stats from SullyGnome, only Spanish star Ibai has picked up more followers than her in September but it’s only a few thousand more, which is quite the feat given she’s only been back since the 10th. The initial boom in new followers likely comes from people who were her elsewhere giving her a follow over on Twitch, but AriGameplays has continued to pick up pockets of new followers after that boom. Since returning to Twitch she’s been quite consistent with streams, which will probably only see her continue to grow. The Mexican is still a ways off the likes of Pokimane when it comes to followers, but 2.2 million followers aren’t shabby either way.

YouTube star IShowSpeed is known for his occasional on-stream hijinks, but one of his fans took things to the next level in a widespread hack that saw multiple high-profile celebrities’ YouTube accounts compromised. On April 5, 2022, fans across social media noticed that their favorite artists’ YouTube channels were uploading some questionable content. These artists included names like Harry Styles, Ariana Grande, Lil Nas X, Travis Scott, Justin Bieber, and even the late Michael Jackson. .@ArianaGrande’s official channel on YouTube has been hacked. pic.twitter.com/1mfrEFyi8K — . (@chartarianadata) April 5, 2022 Many of the clips uploaded to these artists’ profiles included strange videos with captions that alluded to a hack from someone named ‘LOSPELAOSBRO’ on Twitter. The videos ranged from a 51-year-old Spaniard named Paco Sanz singing an off-key song while playing a guitar, to most notably, a re-upload of IShowSpeed’s music video for his song ‘Shake.’ The YouTuber’s music video has garnered over 65 million views at the time of writing — just four months after being uploaded in November 2021. The hacker also included the hashtag #FreePacoSanz in the videos’ descriptions, along with the caption: “We will not stop until the political prisoner Paco Sanz is released.” Paco Sanz, also known as the “man with 2,000 tumors,” is a 51-year-old former security guard who claimed he had Cowden Syndrome — a condition characterized by the presence of many non-cancerous tumors. However, it was reported that Sanz had allegedly lied about the severity of his condition. He received a two-year jail sentence for defrauding donors out of hundreds of thousands of dollars for funds to cure his Cowden Syndrome. ATTENTION: Major artists are currently being hacked by @lospelaosbro 🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨 so far it looks like Juice WRLD, Eminem, Ariana Grande, Harry Styles, Justin Bieber, Travis Scott, Trippie Redd, Michael Jackson, The Weeknd, and even more artist’s YouTube channels have been hacked! pic.twitter.com/UtL6yiKxRF— Where’s the Jam? This isn’t the first giant hack to affect a swath of celebrities, by far; back in September 2019, a number of celebrities and influencers’ Twitter accounts were compromised by a group of hackers who even infiltrated the profile of former Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey.

Ariana Grande slams her “degrading” TikTok lookalikes – Dexerto
Ariana Grande slams her “degrading” TikTok lookalikes Ariana Grande, YouTube / Paige Niemann, InstagramPop sensation Ariana Grande is one of this generation’s most popular music artists — so much so that she’s even got a viral copycat on TikTok, but it doesn’t look like she’s too fond of the copycat’s videos. TikTok creator Paige Niemann went viral in late 2019 for a video where she dressed up as Ariana Grande, nearly becoming the spitting image of the singer with the same high ponytail, makeup, and mannerisms. That’s not all; Niemann combined her makeover with audio from Grande’s performance as Cat Valentine in Nickelodeon show ‘Victorious,’ leading to a seriously uncanny resemblance of the pop star that took the internet by storm. While months have passed since the viral video was released, it doesn’t look like the buzz around the subject is easing off, with Grande giving a pointed reply to filmmaker Jordan Firstman. In a video, Firstman hit out at content creators for making memes of moments that artists worked hard to create, giving them a spin that might undermine their efforts for a few laughs online. “If we took a moment from that and we kind of like, re-contextualize it… we put a completely arbitrary meaning on to the thing the artist loves so much, [is] kind of like degrading its entire value,” Firstman explained. Grande commented on his thoughts in a now-deleted post via her Instagram story, where she seemed to agree with his stance and even compared it to her viral TikTok impersonator. “Can this please also double as your impression of the ponytail TikTok girls who think that doing the Cat Valentine voice and wearing winged eyeliner and a sweatshirt is doing a good impersonation of me?” she wrote. “‘Cause that’s really how it feels… ‘degrading its entire value’ I screamed.” Needless to say, it doesn’t seem like Grande is cool with people impersonating her beloved character from Nickelodeon fame — having spoken out about it when TikTok initially went viral in November 2019. i just wonder whyyyy the cat voice / dialogue. ? i am sure she is the sweetest sweet sweetheart forreal !! but it’s definitley bizarre seeing people blend the two worlds lmao. — Ariana Grande (@ArianaGrande) November 24, 2019 Niemann has since replied to Grande’s thoughts on her lookalike videos, during a live stream as reported by BuzzFeed. “I’m used to Ariana shading me, so it’s whatever,” she admitted. “I’m just here to entertain people. It’s not how I am in real life. It’s kind of why I’m not a fan of her anymore, honestly.” With a slew of top TikTok stars having also experienced their own copycats in the past month, Grande’s message couldn’t come at a more appropriate time, with names like Charli D’Amelio and Nessa Barret likewise dealing with negative drama due to lookalikes.

Ariana Grande reveals what video games inspired “Six Thirty” lyrics – Dexerto
Ariana Grande reveals what video games inspired “Six Thirty” lyrics Sony/Ariana GrandeDuring a premier livestream for one of her new songs, Ariana Grande revealed which video games inspired the lyrics “What you gon’ do when I’m bored, and I wanna play video games at 2 AM?” from her song Six Thirty and even shouted out a game she’s playing now. Ariana Grande’s love for video games has been known for some time now. A few years back, her likeness was used in a Final Fantasy mobile game, while most recently it’s been teased that she would be doing an Among Us session with Twitch streamer Valkyrae in the near future. Because of this, it’s not shocking that the subject has slowly made its way into her music. Six Thirty, which was released back in October 2020, makes reference to the hobby with the line “What you gon’ do when I’m bored, and I wanna play video games at 2 AM?” (starts at 10:59 for mobile users) Now, Grande has spoken up about the inspiration behind that line. In a recent livestream, a fan asked her what specific video games she was referencing with the line, and she gave two interesting answers. “That’s a good question,” the singer said. “I think when I wrote it, I was referring to like Mario Party [and] Mario Kart, but now… if I sang it right now, I’d be talking about Sackboy.” Sackboy is, of course, referring to the PS5 launch title Sackboy: A Big Adventure, which was received generally well by critics and fans alike when it was released last year. While the answer of Mario Party and Kart isn’t too surprising, considering they are some of the more popular video games right now, the Sackboy reference certainly is. Hey @ArianaGrande! 👋 Our team and our wonderful community are super-excited to hear that it’s #SackboyABigAdventure that you wanna play at 2AM! It’s literally music to our ears! 🎵🥰🎵 pic.twitter.com/RZm64N7G0s — Sackboy: A Big Adventure | LittleBigPlanet (@LittleBigPlanet) February 12, 2021 The answer started making its way through the internet after she said this on the stream, and it even got the attention of both the official LittleBigPlanet Twitter account and developer Sumo Digital, who both commented on the shoutout. Ariana Grande fans criticize partner Dalton Gomez amid divorce rumors – Dexerto
Ariana Grande fans criticize partner Dalton Gomez amid divorce rumors Instagram: arianagrandeAriana Grande and Dalton Gomez are reportedly getting a divorce after two years of marriage and fans have thoughts. The couple first started dating during the lockdown in 2020 and tied the knot a year later. But they are reportedly parting ways as Dalton allegedly could not keep up with the singer’s celebrity lifestyle. Page Six said that Gomez was surprised by Ariana’s demanding schedule and found it challenging to adapt to it. This led to the couple’s separation earlier this year as their divorce has been filed already. Reportedly, Dalton could not adjust to life in the spotlight with Grande leading to their decision to separate. According to Page Six, the constant need for security in public took a toll on their relationship and was unacceptable to Dalton. However, the deal breaker was Ariana’s travel to England for Wicked in December 2022, and Page Six reported that Gomez flew to England in January, in a final attempt to make their marriage work. But the real estate agent reportedly felt that Ariana did not have enough time for him. An anonymous source revealed that they have been separated since then but continue to remain on good terms. Fans call out Dalton for being “insecure” Fans of Ariana are voicing their thoughts on social media as most of them are taking a jab at the real estate agent for allegedly failing to deal with his wife’s fame. A fan posted an image on Twitter that read, “We’re told Dalton would sometimes question why they needed to go around the town with security, something that was a must for Ariana.” The image continued with the following text, “Their differences started to make their marriage unravel, and it was greatly exacerbated when she went to England last December to begin filming for ‘Wicked’.” Fans took this opportunity to drag Gomez through the mud, who has been reportedly dating other women for the past few months with Ariana’s permission. Another fan wrote, “What is with these Z listers getting into relationships with A listers and then hating on how famous they are like did you not know how famous she was before??” Another said that everything connects now and blamed Gomez for ‘stealing’ Ariana from fans. Some fans also shared that these differences were bound to come when somebody famous marries someone who isn’t, while others expressed how “pathetic” it is that there are “insecure, unsupportive men getting into relationships with incredible women, just to bring them down.” Ariana was seen at the Wimbledon men’s final match along with Jonathan Bailey and Andrew Garfield without her wedding ring, leading fans to speculate about her relationship with Gomez as photos of her and Bailey from the event went viral.

Courage re-records Ariana Grande music video “Boyfriend” with hilarious results, Grande responds – Dexerto
Courage re-records Ariana Grande music video “Boyfriend” with hilarious results, Grande responds Twitch streamer Jack ‘CouRage’ Dunlop took his biggest shot toward famous pop singer Ariana Grande in a new mashup video featuring himself and actor Jordan Fisher. The energetic personality has been on a tear since signing under Matthew ‘Nadeshot’ Haag’s gaming lifestyle org 100 Thieves. His endeavors even included working the desk at the $30 million Fortnite World Cup Finals in New York. While doing so, he’s never taken his eyes off of his true prize: his long-professed love for Ariana Grande from afar. CouRage has long made his affection for the megastar known with many a quip and skits about his adoration for the songstress on Twitter. Now he’s making his impromptu musical debut with a super high-quality music video in honor of Ariana Grande and the Social House’s ‘Boyfriend.’ This time it looks like he got coached by Fisher to dress up, boogie down and sing his affections for Ariana out loud. The production even got 100 Thieves’ CEO Nadeshot in on the mix as CouRage put his adoration into song form. The video ends with a coy proposition to ask the singer out to dinner, while transitioning to a behind-the-scenes where CouRage actually met the singer and her real-life boyfriend. While romance probably isn’t in the cards between CouRage and Grande, it doesn’t seem like he’ll be too hurt by it. After all, it’s not often that you get to meet your celebrity crush, even for Call of Duty superstars like CouRage. CouRage’s friends are hyped for the music video Prior to the reveal a ton of figures from Twitch fame have been building the anticipation for his music video, with Gen.G streamer ‘Ava’ saying that the internet “ain’t ready” for CouRage’s next level attempt to ask out Grande. Fortnite death run mastermind FaZe Jack ‘Cizzorz’ was grinning ear-to-ear as he was looking forward to the grand reveal: “CouRageJD’s video will make your day, just watch for it.” Even the pop star herself responded to CouRage’s incredible music video, calling the streamer “perfect” for the track. It seems like all the hype for CouRage’s reveal was well worth it, as nearly every influencer on FaZe has already sung their praises for the video, alongside a great many in the esports community.

Ariana Grande and estranged husband Dalton Gomez officially file for divorce – Dexerto
Ariana Grande and estranged husband Dalton Gomez officially file for divorce Instagram: arianagrande / Twitter: daltianaloversAriana Grande is one step closer to being with her new boo Ethan Slater after officially filing for divorce from her estranged husband, Dalton Gomez. Ariana Grande’s marriage to real estate agent Dalton Gomez has been the cause of much speculation after it was reported that the singer-songwriter had been hooking up with her Wicked costar, Ethan Slater. Earlier this year in July, rumors sparked that the two had gotten a divorce after Grande was spotted without her wedding ring at the Wimbledon men’s singles final. While this was never confirmed, it seems fans finally have an update on the pair’s relationship status with Grande and Gomez simultaneously filing for divorce in a coordinated effort this week. TMZ first reported the news with “irreconcilable differences” cited in the filing, the couple having only been wedded for two years. Despite this, sources close to the pair have claimed they are on good terms, saying, “They’ve been really caring and respectful of one another every step of this process.” Sources also claim that Grande will allegedly cut Dalton a check before the pair go their separate ways, despite having signed an “iron-clad prenup” prior to their 2021 nuptials. Interestingly enough, the couple’s separation date was listed as February 20, 2023 — five months before their split became public. Fans were torn over the news, with one person writing, “Happy for her I guess but I’m also [kind of] heartbroken. This feels like my actual parents splitting.” Another said, “Wait. Is it like legally confirmed like is it public info [because] I’m just in such deep denial [sic].” Some, though, couldn’t help but question the timeline of the couple’s relationship, referencing the surprising end date; “So why did she [make] a story post in May about her anniversary?” Check out all the latest entertainment news on our page here.

Are your favorite YouTubers sociopaths? Shane Dawson’s latest docuseries explores the possibility – Dexerto
Are your favorite YouTubers sociopaths? Shane Dawson’s latest docuseries explores the possibility Shane Dawson’s latest episode in his docuseries ‘The Mind of Jake Paul’ takes a deep dive into the world of sociopaths – and comes to a frightening conclusion. Dawson visited with therapist and YouTuber Kati Morton to discuss the probability of Jake Paul being a sociopath, but ended up questioning many other icons in the YouTube sphere. Morton described the textbook traits of the demographic, stating that sociopaths feel no empathy, view people as pawns to be used, and have a reckless disregard for their own safety and the safety of others. However, she also noted that they are instantly likeable and charismatic, and stated that one in 25 individuals possesses Antisocial Personality Disorder. Dawson appeared to be very shaken by this news, and noted throughout their conversation that these traits could apply to many of YouTube’s top personalities. “What she described is so many people I know and so many people I’ve met, worked with and been friends with,” he stated after their session. “Anybody can be a sociopath. Anybody.” However, they also noted that many YouTubers put on an act for the camera, and could just as easily be portraying a character rather than actually exhibiting sociopathic traits. Morton noted that she would need to meet and gain a better understanding of Paul before giving him an official diagnosis. This second episode of Dawson’s series is currently trending at the number one spot on YouTube. With the upcoming episode titled ‘Understanding the Family,’ the series could go on to explore both Logan Paul and Greg Paul’s own controversies, both of which have earned them ample criticism.

Are you allowed to convert YouTube videos to MP3? – Dexerto
Are you allowed to convert YouTube videos to MP3? YouTube / ShutterstockBefore music was on streaming platforms like Spotify or Apple Music, the best way to get music was to convert a YouTube video to an MP3, but is it legal to do so? Let’s dive in and find out. If you’re looking to get a free version of your favorite song the easy thing to do would be to just go to YouTube and convert the video to an MP3, but there’s a moral gray area with this particular practice. While it’s very easy to just use a tool and convert a video, should you be doing it? Is it legal to convert YouTube to MP3? While you might feel a little guilty about turning a YouTube video to an MP3, it is perfectly legal to do. The problem people will run into is what they decide to do with the file or what they are actually converting. People aren’t allowed to download copyrighted videos, which means pretty much any music video you come across on YouTube isn’t legal to download or convert. For example, if you were to convert the above video to an MP3, MP4 or some other format, it would be illegal. What happens if I do convert a copyrighted video? Downloading and converting copyright videos is a thing that’s done every day but it’s illegal to do so, but people still do it without running into issues all that often. However, if you then re-upload content to YouTube or somewhere else, that’s where you’ll have a better chance at running into trouble. Chances are that if you do download or convert a copyrighted video, you will be in the clear but that doesn’t mean you should do it. According to YouTube Terms of Service, “stream-ripping” is not allowed but nobody has been actually sued as a result of it, nor has anyone been sued for converting a copyrighted video into a download, according to Digital Music News. So, yes, it’s illegal and generally frowned upon, but it doesn’t stop people from doing it.

Are Twitch making it hard to find Shroud’s channel? – Dexerto
Are Twitch making it hard to find Shroud’s channel? Finding Michael ‘shroud‘ Grzesiek’s Twitch channel is proving to be difficult following his shock move to Mixer, with many fans venting their frustrations online. The mega popular gaming star is best known for his pinpoint aiming in first-person shooter games and has built an incredible following by streaming games. However, those looking for his Twitch channel on October 25 – a platform he has announced he will no longer be streaming on – have been unable to find it via the search function and it’s unclear as to why that is the case. Shroud agreed an exclusive deal with Microsoft‘s very own live streaming platform, Mixer, just a day before these issues first surfaced, announcing the move using his official Twitter account. His new Mixer channel already has nearly 350,000 followers. In that announcement, he stated that it would be a case of: “same shroud, new home”, but it appears that his old home has actually disappeared. The reason behind the problems are unconfirmed at the time of writing and it is possible that it is a technical difficulty of some sort. It’s worth noting that the channel can still be accessed by searching for it on Google or visiting its web address on Twitch. Given the controversial nature of Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins’ exit earlier this year – when he was not only stripped of his official checkmark but also had adult content promoted on his channel – fans of shroud appear to be worried that he could be suffering the same fate. “Search shroud on Twitch and get everybody else but him,” one tweeted, pointing out that other people with his name in their descriptions were appearing instead. Another added: “How is this fair Twitch? When you search up shroud on Twitch his channel doesn’t appear. This is wrong!” With over seven million followers, shroud’s Twitch channel remains one of the biggest, but it’s a bad day for fans who want to watch his old videos.

Whether you’re a cancer or a capricorn, there is a wide array of spiritual content to be consumed on social media. Some even take their love of all things supernatural to the extreme, such as with ‘Witchtok’ – a TikTok tag where users perform spells and even tried to hex the moon. However, some have been led to believe that this material won’t be allowed for much longer, prompting a lot of confusion in those circles. Someone said they could also be doing this because of scamming in the spiritual community… love readings and things like that but there’s scamming in every community, they just want to silence spiritualist — ⛧𝔭𝔰𝔶𝔠𝔥𝔦𝔠☾𖤓𝔰𝔦𝔯𝔢𝔫⛧ (@HESTWlCK) February 15, 2022 TikTok and Meta deny astrology ban rumors Rumors that astrology would be banned intensified on February 15 when Twitter user ‘HESTWlCK’ posted a claim that social media sites would be cracking down on the content, with the tweet going viral. “Apparently TikTok, Instagram and Facebook are going to be banning tarot and astrology content in March? Are there zombies in China? Viral TikTok trend explained – Dexerto
Are there zombies in China? Viral TikTok trend explained PIXABAYA viral trend on TikTok claiming that there will be a zombie apocalypse in China has caused a lot of people to panic. Obviously, it’s not real, but here’s why the trend has taken off. Countless trends on TikTok come and go, but this one is unlike most others. The ‘Zombies in China’ trend claims that the world will end soon due to a zombie apocalypse starting in China, and some people appear genuinely frightened. Currently, the zombiesinchina hashtag has over 4.6 million views on the social media platform. People sharing videos using the hashtag are either scared, mocking the trend, or just confused about how it even started to begin with. How the ‘Zombies in China’ trend started The rumors of a zombie apocalypse all started with an opinion piece written in 2021, titled ‘This is how a zombie apocalypse is most likely to start in China.’ The article simply suggested the idea of a zombie apocalypse and its probable causes, saying that countries like China are most likely to become the home of an outbreak, claiming that they would keep it a secret. The author of the article, Rudy Cano, writes: “Communist countries have time and again chosen to suppress information until it is no longer deniable,” and gave the 1986 Chernobyl disaster that took place in the Soviet Union as an example. He also goes on to include a quote from the Zombie novel ‘World War Z,’ which reads: “By refusing to admit the truth of the zombie outbreak to the world, the Communist Chinese government aided its spread due to misinformation about what was actually happening.” TikTokers freak out about zombie outbreak rumor Many people misinterpreted the article as a prediction, and somehow, false rumors about an upcoming zombie apocalypse started spreading on TikTok in 2022. A video from TikToker monique.sky went viral with over 600,000 views, as she questioned if the rumor was real. Another recent video, posted by TikTok user ykgs, amassed over a million views, as it debunked the trend with a bizarre claim. The text on the video reads: “There’s no ‘zombies’ there was one which was very weak and harmed no one. They killed it minutes after it was created there’s no more.” Users expressed their concerns in the comment section. “This doesn’t make me feel better” one of the top comments read. “What do you mean there was one?” an alarmed user wrote. “The hell you mean ‘there are NO MORE.’ There shouldn’t have been any from the start” someone else added. One user, however, tried to comfort the concerned viewers. “Guys it wasn’t a zombie, it was a man who was claimed dead for a week and woke up aggressive.” they shared. It’s safe to say that zombies are nothing but mythical creatures, as thus far, there is not a crumb of evidence to prove that they exist.

Are The Mob’s Froste, Classify & Avalanche set to leave 100 Thieves? – Dexerto
Are The Mob’s Froste, Classify & Avalanche set to leave 100 Thieves? Instagram: TheMobFroste, Classify and Avalanche are believed to be leaving 100 Thieves after two years with the LA esports org, four months after the group formally disbanded due to the departure of Mako. The Mob made waves in the world of content creation in 2020. Thanks to a huge presence on social media and a reputation for producing top-tier memes, roasts and challenges, they were one of the first big acquisitions in 100 Thieves’ development as a brand. However, fans of the group were surprised when, in December 2020, Mako announced his departure from the group and social media generally, citing how “the plague that is social media” had affected him, and he wanted to leave content creation to find “genuine happiness.” With this announcement, The Mob soon fell apart, though the remaining members stayed with 100 Thieves to produce content on an individual basis. However, it looks like after two years with the org, the remaining members of The Mob are set to finally leave 100 Thieves. One eagle-eyed fan posted on reddit that Avalanche had removed all affiliation with the organization from his Instagram bio and username, prompting speculation that he will be leaving the org. Meanwhile, Froste had previously announced on his stream that he had no plans to sign a new contract with 100T when his current deal expires. “Have I left 100 Thieves? Not yet, but my contract ends pretty soon and there’s no plans to re-sign,” he said. While there are no specific rumors regarding the future of Classify, on May 21 he launched his own line of merch for the first time ever, suggesting he too might be planning for life after 100 Thieves. However, he still reps the organization on his Twitter, which implies he could well be sticking around. Though the exact date of their contract expiration is unknown, it’s highly likely it will be on or around June 14, as that will mark two years since the four-man team first signed. For many fans, the departure of Mako signaled the end of The Mob, but the remaining members’ departures from 100 Thieves will be the definitive marker of the group’s breakup.

Are Tfue and Corinna back together? Ex-couple plays Fortnite after breakup – Dexerto
Are Tfue and Corinna back together? Ex-couple plays Fortnite after breakup Corinna Kopf, Instagram / The Hollywood Fix, YouTubePopular Fortnite pro Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney has officially parted ways with YouTuber Corinna Kopf, as announced in a series of Tweets posted on July 3 – but their online activity could tell a different story in wake of their split. Despite their recent breakup, the two were spotted playing Fortnite together shortly thereafter, with the two making playful banter in spite of their new relationship status. “It was cute when you got upset about me texting people,” Turner commented. “That’s not cute, that’s crazy,” she responded. “I’m gonna go take a bath. Maybe you can FaceTime me or something?” “Maybe,” he replied. “I’m just gonna get off and text girls.” Corinna herself admitted that she “misses” Tfue during her own stream of the game, going on to state that she hopes to get back together with him in the future. “God, I hope so,” she said in response to a fan asking if they would get back together. “But we are on good terms. I love Turner to death.” Kopf’s statement echoes the sentiments laid out in her Tweet a week prior, where she came clean about their breakup and claimed that they’d had a loving relationship that was ultimately shot down due to distance. “I have nothing but love for Turner,” Kopf wrote. “…we had a very healthy and loving relationship, but ultimately the distance and a few other things made our relationship difficult.” 500https://www.dexerto.com/entertainment/corinna-kopf-announces-breakup-tfue-social-media-hiatus-772763 Kopf had previously complained about constantly traveling to visit Tfue from Los Angeles, noting that he would rarely travel to the city to see her because he “hated” it: a hatred likely further inflamed by his ongoing legal battle with esports giant FaZe Clan. Despite Corinna’s hopes, Tfue admitted that he doesn’t want to date anyone for a while, stating that he doesn’t want a girl in his life at present – although his conversation with Corinna during their game of Fortnite could hint at a softer side to their current relationship. [Timestamp: 1:14 for mobile viewers] Speculation aside, the couple is still clearly separated as of July 6, with no official reunion in sight – for now.

Cowgirl would be a singing track so it wouldn’t match her heavy rap era,” wrote one fan. “I can tell that Nicki genuinely wanted Doja on this album cus she keeps speaking abt it but she’s making herself seem angry and bitter even when she isn’t,” another said. “Doja recorded the feature and then didn’t clear the vocals,” one fan wrote, adding a laughing emoji. Someone else asked, “If Doja didn’t wanna do it, then she didn’t wanna do it. What’s the problem?” Another said, “She’s obsessed with Doja.” “She doesn’t need to let it go. She is the QUEEN, and disrespect shouldn’t be tolerated,” another user said, clearly angry. User DeenickJ was quick to point out how “Doja loves Nicki and Nicki loves Doja they always showing each other love,” they wrote. “I don’t know why y’all want them to beef so badly or not see eye to eye.” She doesn’t need to let it go. She is the QUEEN, and disrespect shouldn’t be tolerated. — InvestingWithColleen (@ContractColleen) December 25, 2023 Despite potential beef, Nicki Minaj continues to focus on Pink Friday 2 and the exciting things she has planned for the new year. To promote the album, the rapper recently announced dates for her 2024 world tour, which spans the United States to Germany and the Netherlands. Are Logan Paul and Josie Canseco dating? Rumors spark after two seen at party – Dexerto
Are Logan Paul and Josie Canseco dating? Rumors spark after two seen at party Instagram: josiecanseco / YouTube: IMPAULSIVEDating rumors are flying between YouTube star Logan Paul and model Josie Canseco after the ex-couple were spotted together at a star-studded Super Bowl party. News regarding Logan Paul’s dating life has been infrequent over the past year. The YouTuber claims he’s been busy traveling the world and working on a super secret project, after all. The release of his Prime Hydration sports drink with ex-rival KSI put him back on the map in a huge way, but in terms of his romantic pursuits, any public info has been pretty sparse… until now. On February 10, Logan Paul was spotted leaving Jamie Foxx’s Super Bowl party alongside best buddy Mike Majlak, model Chantel Jeffries, and most shockingly, ex-girlfriend Josie Canseco. Logan Paul responds to Josie Canseco dating rumors Paparazzi footage from the Daily Stardust caught the two making their exit, and even managed to catch up with Paul to ask him the all-important question: Are he and Josie dating again? Paul notably declined to answer, but did grace the camera with a sly grin before hopping into his ride. Paul and Canseco initially got together in January 2020. The two were first spotted by paps holding hands at the Rose Bowl Flea Market. Unfortunately, this pairing was not meant to last — at least, not initially. The couple broke things off just a month later. Paul claimed that he was too “selfish” for the relationship and wanted to make “himself happy first,” while Canseco said that she felt Paul just “wasn’t the one for her,” according to sources. Their sudden appearance at the party together is certainly raising some eyebrows, though, with commenters speculating whether or not they’re back together. For now, there’s no telling until one of them makes a statement, leaving fans eager for more info on this possible pairing.

Agents of Shield star Chloe Bennet followed Paul on Instagram on January 8, 2019, hinting at a possibility that the two could be back on good terms after their highly-publicized split nearly three months prior. However, Paul has yet to return the favor – and fans are speculating that Bennet could be in a relationship with DJ Sam French, according to a few posts on her Instagram story that show her getting cozy with the music artist. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pugdi9UlKYE While Bennet has been decidedly silent on the breakup, Paul has been rather open about their split claiming that Maverick member Mike ‘Hey Big Mike’ Majlak had a hand in their separation. Read More: Jake Paul receives huge backlash after driving blindfolded for ‘Bird Box challenge’ video – According to Majlak, he didn’t feel that Paul and Bennet were “right” for each other, with Paul claiming that Mike was “single-handedly responsible” for ruining their relationship during an episode of his ‘imPaulsive’ podcast on December 10. Logan isn’t the only Paul brother recovering from a breakup, either; his younger brother Jake Paul is also making attempts to bounce back from his split with YouTuber and model Erika Costell, who broke things off in early November of 2018. Despite their separation, Jake has made public attempts to get back with Costell, admitting to calling her for a New Year’s Eve kiss on December 31 – to no avail.

Are Logan Paul and Chloe Bennet dating again? Instagram post sparks rumors – Dexerto
Are Logan Paul and Chloe Bennet dating again? Instagram post sparks rumors Instagram: Logan PaulFans are convinced YouTube star Logan Paul might be back together with Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. actress Chloe Bennet after the two were spotted in a group photo. Logan Paul’s dating life has been under some scrutiny over the past few weeks. The YouTuber / boxer / NFT connoisseur has been busy making money moves over the past year, notably boxing the undefeated Floyd Mayweather and teaming up with Arnold Schwarzenegger for an upcoming slap fighting championship. However, his love life wasn’t exactly in the limelight throughout this time… until now. Two weeks ago, Paul was spotted leaving a party with his ex-girlfriend, model Josie Canseco. When asked if they were back together, Paul declined to answer, instead giving paparazzi a sly grin before riding off into the night. Now, it seems that dating rumors are sparking up again — this time, with another love interest. Logan Paul possibly spotted with Chloe Bennet after breakup Over the weekend, eagle-eyed fans spotted Paul in a group photo with the likes of George Janko and Chloe Bennett — Paul’s ex-girlfriend and notable Marvel actress. View this post on Instagram Although it’s difficult to make Bennett out in the grainy group pic, fan pages are certain she’s in the crowd, where we can make out a blonde topknot that looks similar to her hair color. That’s not all; other photos emerged that appeared to show Bennet chilling with Paul and co. on a yacht, as well as seemingly leaving an airport with Paul and IMPAULSIVE co-host, Mike Majlak. View this post on Instagram Although it’s unclear if Bennet is really the girl in the photos (owing to the sunglasses she’s wearing), fans are thoroughly convinced that this is the case. Bennet and Paul notably parted ways in 2018, which Paul jokingly attributed to the meddlings of Mike Majlak during a past IMPAULSIVE podcast episode. Bennet was most recently linked to actor John Cody, although she is now currently single. Neither Bennet nor Paul have spoken out on these most dating rumors between them thus far, leaving viewers anxiously awaiting more info. However, fans might have to wait on that one, as Paul is currently busy preparing for his WWE match against Rey Mysterio (alongside his upcoming slap tournament with Arnie).

Are Keanu Reeves and Hideo Kojima teaming up? Twitter/Hideo KojimaA potential collaboration between Keanu Reeves and gaming legend Hideo Kojima may be in the works after the actor visited Kojima Productions in Tokyo. Hideo Kojima is easily one of the most recognizable names in gaming as the creator of the Metal Gear Solid series as well as the upcoming Death Stranding. While his games are relatively bizarre, they’re also somewhat similar to films action star Keanu Reeves finds himself in. The Matrix lead, who recently signed on to do a fourth film in the series, met with members of the studio and posed with Kojima in front of Ludens, the company’s mascot. He also left a very interesting message for the team on their kitchen board. While the baby and skull could be references to his upcoming title Death Stranding, the others seem out there even for Kojima. Reeves is no stranger to video games. The John Wick protagonist is starring in the upcoming Cyberpunk 2077 as Johnny Silverhand. Are Hololive VTubers idols or not? Shirakami Fubuki, Tokino Sora discuss – Dexerto
Are Hololive VTubers idols or not? Shirakami Fubuki, Tokino Sora discuss HololiveHololive is the world’s biggest VTuber agency, but some see their stars as streamers while others vow to call them idols. So what title do they actually give themselves? Shirakami Fubuki and Tokino Sora discussed this, and it’s really up to the individual. Hololive is the biggest name in VTubing, but what definition this lends is up in the air. The term ‘Virtual YouTubing’ is self-explanatory — virtual people on YouTube — but what do they actually do? Given how the space has developed in the five years since Hololive started, it’s hard to say. VTubers are prolific everywhere across seemingly all mediums: playing games, performing music, or drawing art. There was a push though, in Hololive’s infancy, to appeal to idol culture. The Hololive talents have featured in a number of promotions across the years. While the title was always thrown around internally, YAGOO said, it didn’t really become real until 2019. It really sunk in for the first time when fans flocked to Akihabara for their collaboration with atré, their faces plastered everywhere across the iconic shopping district. “We were showcased in an amazing place that collaborated with lots of big anime. I couldn’t believe it. It made me realize how much we’ve grown,” Fubuki said during Hololive’s fifth anniversary broadcast. “There were lots of shots of us on the building. It kind of felt like we were actually there in Akihabara,” Sora added. This raised a big point within Hololive though — the talents themselves were becoming virtual idols in a sense. They had a huge following, fans would go across the seas to take part in any promotion, and it was only getting bigger. The atré collaboration solidified that: “We were finally being recognized as idols. Up until that point people were questioning if we weren’t just comedians but we were finally able to say ‘yes we are idols,’” Fubuki said. This was by design, according to YAGOO. “This was designed with the idea that we could gather all the members at the time together and see if we could make it feel like an idol group. We got someone who specialized in that particular style to design the artwork for us. “This experiment showed us quite clearly that our fans wanted the idol element. It also gave me the confidence, or rather showed me that it was the right move to try and develop Hololive into an idol group as we grew. This was when it became clear like ‘maybe we can actually pull it off?’” From there idol activities ramped up. Talents weren’t just streaming on YouTube. They were performing solo concerts, attending conventions and festivals, and growing a bigger brand off-stream rather than on. For someone like Tokino Sora, who wanted to pursue this life, it was an amazing feeling. She reminisced about her first solo concert back in 2019, packing out a venue for the first time. “So there was the concert hall and we had people come in and we held the concert. The venue’s max capacity was 700 people right? They said that fitting all 700 people in there was a real challenge. They could only seat 700 people max. If you get that many people in there, for like the whole venue, you’d end up trying to squeeze them in just to shut the doors. “I remember going ‘this is like a mosh pit!’ It was a sight to behold, them pushing at each other like that. I couldn’t help but worry. It’s still incredible to have that large of an audience. It was so awe-inspiring though — to think I started a couple of years back with just 13 people.” It was a bit different for Fubuki though in her first concert: “Back then I was really bad with the whole song and dance thing. During that time, instead of doing idol activities, I wanted to focus on my hobbies. Everyone calls me [an idol], but it never really stuck to me in a sense. “When I performed in the concert, everyone was like ‘wow Fubuki is a real idol now!’ That’s when I started thinking that. It all happened because the concert made me feel that singing, dancing, and meeting with my fans was fun and worthwhile. We all gradually became idols.” It all came to a head at the first holoFes in January 2020 where every member got on stage. holoFes was a big affair as the talents trained for months, getting choreographed dances and learning new songs. They even picked out their own outfits. That was a daunting task, but it paid off big time. “Having all of Hololive perform in a single concert was a first, and we were unsure if it was even possible to pull off — like would everyone be able to perform and all that,” Fubuki explained. “All of us went to have dance lessons together, singing lessons too. “Among all those happenings the most memorable thing I remember from the concert was when we got our idol outfits. There were a lot of design patterns for the idol outfits. We’d choose what fits us the most and request accessories we’d like to have on our outfits, and they’d make them. A lot of thought went into those outfits, so we were quite happy to reveal them. “Right now we have a lot of people who got to know Hololive because of this concert, and are fans of ours to this day. This concert really did put us in the spotlight.” While Hololive was pushing to be an idol agency for some time, there was a change of direction in 2021. After the success of all branches with streaming, YAGOO and COVER Corp gave talents more choice. Instead of forcing them to perform in idol activities at the 2021 Bloom concert, the talents could opt in or out. This allowed some to focus on becoming a virtual idol, while others could hone their streaming craft. “We wanted to respect each idol’s vision, whether that was to work solo or to focus on their non-idol activities like streaming,” YAGOO said. “For this concert, in particular, we chose the members who wanted to go ahead with idol group activities to be a part of it. We released original songs every week for the nine weeks leading up to the concert, making it possible to hold it as our very first concert with all the original songs.” Talents like Takanashi Kiara have spoken about this more recently too — Hololive is not ‘just’ an idol agency. It is so much more, and at the end of the day, the stars can choose whatever they want to become.

Are ghosts haunting TikTok users? Viral trend sparks concern – Dexerto
Are ghosts haunting TikTok users? Viral trend sparks concern TikTok/thesmitties22Ghosts are taking over TikTok and parents are being warned that a spooky new trend is terrifying to young children. TikTok has seen its fair share of scary trends over the years, most recently with the horrifying zombie trend that infected China. Now, ghosts have stepped, or floated rather, onto the plate to deliver their own frightening experience in the form of a new filter that has the internet talking for all the wrong reasons. In the trend, parents let their child use their phones with a ‘ghost filter’ enabled. Soon after, a spooky poltergeist pops on the screen and begins making creepy noises. The results have seen kids run for their lives after coming face-to-face with the ghoul. (click here if TikTok fails to load) TikTok ‘ghost filter’ terrifies users In one video, a parent left their kid in the room with the filter enabled only for the child to scream and try to open the door, afraid that they would be eaten by the creature. In another, a couple of kids try to run away from the ghost, but freak out when the door won’t open. (click here if TikTok fails to load) Others feature much younger children, sometimes too small to make sense of what is happening on screen. The filter has even resulted in Northern Ireland politician Jason Barr trying to get the filter banned from the site. It seems like the GhostBusters weren’t available, though, because he went straight to TikTok itself. “Some people see this as funny but I can assure you it’s not funny when you have a child running out of a room screaming after seeing something like this,” he said to Belfast Live. (click here if TikTok fails to load) “Some children have been left petrified by this filter and that’s why I’ve got in touch with the platform about getting it removed… I find it really alarming that people would scare children in this way and leave them screaming in a locked room. This can have lasting effects on them.” TikTok isn’t bending the knee, however. The company says it will be removing content that violates its guidelines, but it’s still monitoring videos posted with the “ghostfilter” hashtag.

We hung out and played volleyball at the beach. “I’m not even at the flirt stage yet. There’s a hump to get over before I feel comfortable being back at it.” Charly Jordan has nearly six million followers on TikTok and 4.5 million followers on Instagram. Logan Paul has nearly 23 million subscribers on YouTube and a huge social media following on other platforms to boot.

Are Charly Jordan & Tayler Holder back together? More Instagram posts spark rumors – Dexerto
Are Charly Jordan & Tayler Holder back together? More Instagram posts spark rumors Instagram: charlyjordanAfter several months apart, TikTok stars Tayler Holder and Charly Jordan might be back together, if a series of Instagram posts are anything to go by. Tayler Holder and Charly Jordan’s relationship timeline has been a tumultuous one. After parting ways with fit-fluencer Sommer Ray in July 2020, Holder officially announced his romance with Charly Jordan in a bashful Q&A video in October of that same year. While things appeared to be going swimmingly from the outside, Holder and Jordan revealed their breakup in March amid a reality show that Holder was filming at the time. The two later got into a public spat regarding how their breakup was portrayed in the show, with Jordan feeling as though her side of the story wasn’t accurately portrayed and Holder arguing that he’d given Charly multiple opportunities to be part of the production. The bad blood between them only heightened after Sommer Ray accused Holder of trying to get back with her while he’d been dating Charly — accusations that he firmly denied. Jordan appeared to be confounded by the situation, saying Ray had “slandered me online for four months straight.” Despite their recent spat, it seems that Tayler Holder and Charly Jordan might be patching things up again… and it’s safe to say that fans are ecstatic. Are Charly Jordan and Tayler Holder dating again? On July 5, Holder posted a series of photos to Instagram that showed him hanging out with Jordan and a slew of other influencers for an Independence Day bash, with fans particularly focusing on a pic of him and Jordan holding hands in the DJ booth. That’s not all; Holder also liked a post from a fan page, which showed photos of the couple together captioned: “Chayler is back?” View this post on Instagram Then, on August 16, the pair posted about each other on their respective Instagram stories, with Charly dropping a sarcastic “this one’s ok I guess” on a picture of the two of them looking very comfortable. While it comes as quite a surprise that these two influencers are making nice in light of their past spat (and the drama with Sommer Ray), it’s certainly not an unwelcome development to their fans, who are over the moon that one of TikTok’s biggest couples might be making a major comeback.

Are Charli D’Amelio and Chase Hudson dating? TikTokers finally respond to rumors – Dexerto
Are Charli D’Amelio and Chase Hudson dating? TikTokers finally respond to rumors YouTube: LILHUDDY, Charli D’AmelioTikTok stars Charli D’Amelio and Chase Hudson infamously broke up back in 2020, but their recent music video has some fans wondering if they aren’t secretly dating again. Charli and Chase are like two peas in a pod to TikTok fans. The two became quite a popular couple in 2020 before they split up a few months later, initially appearing to end their relationship on good terms. However, months after their split, Charli unintentionally started “dramageddon” on social media by hinting that Chase had kissed Nessa Barrett while they’d been in the “talking” stage again. It seems like the two have patched things up, though; since then, they’ve bought matching friendship rings and even went on vacation together, but that’s not the reason why some fans think these two might have sparked an undercover romance. The two filmed a music video in mid-April 2021 for Hudson’s “America’s Sweetheart” song, which he claimed had been inspired by his past relationship with Charli. Considering the song’s message and its adorable music video, it comes as little surprise that fans are raising their eyebrows — but both influencers are adamant that they are not in a romantic relationship of any kind. In two separate interviews with paparazzi, both Charli and Chase denied that they were dating, with Chase exasperatedly answering, “We’re not dating, we’re just friends.” Charli had a similar answer, simply responding to curious paps: “We’re friends!” Read More: How to watch Addison Rae in ‘He’s All That’ – As for their apparent chemistry on the set of their music video, Charli explained it away as them simply being “close.” Whatever the case may be, it’s clear that these stars are bent on keeping whatever they’ve got going on out of the limelight. Let’s just hope it ends up in a better spot than Bryce Hall and Addison Rae’s love life — if they are, indeed, dating. Right now, it appears that Charli and Chase are focusing on their friendship as they navigate their burgeoning careers in what is undoubtedly a busy time in their lives, and we can’t blame them for keeping things on the down low.

Are Bryce Hall and Addison Rae back together again? TikToks spark rumors – Dexerto
Are Bryce Hall and Addison Rae back together again? TikToks spark rumors IG: BryceHall/AddisonRaeeThe TikTok rumor mill is once again in full flow surrounding content creators Bryce Hall and Addison Rae, as new images surfaced of the pair working out together, as well as starring in one another’s TikToks. The new generation of TikTok celebrities have been thrown into the public eye thanks to the Beijing-based video platform’s incredible growth, to the point of being one of the world’s most-downloaded social media apps. Addison Rae and Bryce Hall are two of the most followed and famous TikTok stars, sitting at 82 million combined followers at the time of writing. For months now, the pair have been at the center of relationship rumors and drama, with fans deeply invested in their romance. Keeping track of the pair’s on and off relationship has been difficult, but it looks like they are back on after snaps surfaced of them working out together at a Los Angeles garnered a lot of attention. Images were shared by Rae, showing the pari working out at the exclusive DogPound gym, which has locations in New York and Los Angeles. The first of the photos is innocent enough, showing Hall posing next to Rae in the middle of the gym’s floor. The second image, though, has aroused major fan interest, with Rae smiling while Hall appears to be planting a kiss on the top of her head. The caption reads: “I just leg pressed 400 lbs 3x so who has the gainz now?” What’s more, the pair have appeared in a couple of TikToks together. The first shows the pair dancing together in Halloween make up, while the second shows them lip-syncing and getting close. Both have been interpreted as the couple rekindling their relationship. Of course, the videos could simply suggest that the two are close friends and fancied a workout together, but given their history and the affectionate nature of their interactions, it seems to confirm that the two are once again seeing each other. This view was echoed by commenters on Instagram, many of whom took the photos as confirmation that the pair’s romance is back on. We await official confirmation from Hall or Rae but, for now, the rumor mill will continue to do what it does.

Are Addison Rae & Jack Harlow dating? Rumors resurface after Instagram posts – Dexerto
Are Addison Rae & Jack Harlow dating? Rumors resurface after Instagram posts Instagram: addison rae, jackharlowThroughout 2021, rumors have been constantly circulating that TikTok star Addison Rae might be dating rap star Jack Harlow — and they don’t seem to be dying down. Jack Harlow shot to superstardom with the release of hit single ‘What’s Poppin’ at the start of 2020 and it became a viral phenomenon, as well as earning multiple platinum certifications. Addison Rae, on the other hand, has been one of the brightest shining stars to come from TikTok, earning herself millions of fans worldwide with her fun dance videos. She’s even dabbled a bit in music herself, with debut single ‘Obsessed’ coming out in March 2021, and has earned herself a host of A-List friends including the likes of Kourtney Kardashian. Addison Rae & Jack Harlow dating rumors first surface After her very public split from on/off boyfriend and fellow TikToker Bryce Hall, rumors have run rampant that Addison Rae is moving up the social ladder, so to speak, and is seeing Harlow. That said, neither party has ever confirmed one way or another, but little clues have been adding up. At the Jake Paul vs Nate Robinson Triller Fight Club boxing event in November 2020, Addison and Jack were seen getting to know each other, spending a lot of time together. One fan even tweeted a picture that Jack Harlow posted, which appeared to show Addison Rae’s hand on him although she was out of shot. So, Addison Rae really is Jack Harlow’s new GF ? Guess he passed that bitch like Stockton 💀 pic.twitter.com/wnpQ4tfPxU — damien 🪐 ひ (@LeMaskedJames) April 19, 2021 Rumors heat up again after Instagram posts Rumors started to pick up across the internet once again in June 2021, when Addison posted to her Instagram story, tagging a photographer in the process. The photographer was none other than Urban Wyatt, who is good friends with and photographs for Jack Harlow. While small, it has been speculated that Harlow has been in Los Angeles and attended similar events to Addison, so it’s possible that they have continued to meet up. In a now-deleted video with Pitchfork, Harlow also spoke about FaceTiming a TikToker, admitting that he found the hip movements and faces “sexy.” Many fans of both parties have speculated that said TikToker is, of course, Addison. Luckily, a number of fans caught the video before it went down and have kept it alive for others to see. So, it’s definitely reasonable to think something could be going on between Harlow and Rae, though neither of them have confirmed whether or not there is a spark between them. We’ll just have to wait and see, but for now, we’ll have to presume that both of them are single until told otherwise.

Apple’s Tony Blevins leaves company after backlash over viral TikTok video TikTok: itsdanielmacApple executive Tony Blevins has left the company following a comment he made in a viral TikTok video about women. On September 5, TikToker Daniel Mac uploaded a video in which he interviewed a man in a Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren during a car show in Pebble Beach, California. After asking what he did for a living, the man in the car responded: “I have rich cars, play golf, and fondle big-breasted women, but I take weekends and major holidays off,” going on to add, “if you’re interested, I’ve got a hell of a dental plan.” The video has since gone on to garner 140,000 likes, but Apple employees soon identified the man in the video as vice-president of procurement Tony Blevins, reportedly setting off an internal investigation over the comments. Apple employee claims she has been threatened with firing over viral TikTok video – Dexerto
Apple employee claims she has been threatened with firing over viral TikTok video PIXABAY: MARTIAS CRUZAn Apple employee claims that the tech company she’s worked at for over six years is threatening to fire her over a viral TikTok video she made. The employee, Paris Campbell, says she was threatened with termination over a viral video she made on TikTok where she provides others with basic common sense, and publicly available tips on what to do if their iPhone is stolen. Paris has 446,000 followers on the social media platform, with over 17.7 million likes. Until last week, she did not publicly identify herself as an Apple employee, and would often share her work as a stand-up comedian, as well as her funny reaction videos. In a TikTok video posted over the weekend, she explains that she received a call from her manager telling her that she breached company policy by identifying herself as an Apple employee. Apple’s social media policy advises employees against discussing Apple’s customers, other employees, or any confidential information. However, it does not limit employees from publicly identifying themselves as Apple employees but only requires them to maintain Apple’s image and reputation in their online presence. “I’ve never actually identified myself as an Apple employee until this video,” she said in the video. “Funny thing is, though, after reviewing the social media policies… nowhere does it say I can’t identify myself as an Apple employee publicly, just that I shouldn’t do so in a way that makes the company look bad.” Paris found Apple’s response to be “directly in contrast to how we portray ourselves as a company in terms of telling people to think different, innovate, and come up with creative solutions.” “I don’t just have all this Apple knowledge because I work for Apple,” she adds. “I come to this knowledge because I have a long technical education and history. That’s why they hired me.” As of now, Paris’s employment status remains unknown. Apple’s employee’s viral video that almost got her fired In a TikTok video shared last week, Paris responded to someone who had their phone stolen. The victim explained that the thieves who stole their phone threatened to sell their private information on the black market. After tracking their iPhone with the Find My tracking app, they found out that it was in China. The thieves tried to convince the victim to remove the stolen phone from their Apple ID account to bypass Activation Lock. In the viral clip, which has amassed a whopping 7.5 million views, Paris tells the victim: “I can’t tell you how exactly I know this information, but I can tell you for the last six years I’ve been a certified hardware engineer for a certain company that likes to talk a lot about fruit.” The TikToker then goes on to strongly advise against removing the iPhone from the Apple ID and goes on to explain Activation Lock. She also provides handy tips for the victim and reassures them that the thieves’ don’t actually have access to their private information. She concludes the video by advising the victim to ignore the messages.

Apple announces new iPhone feature after TikTokers reveal “cheating” hacks – Dexerto
Apple announces new iPhone feature after TikTokers reveal “cheating” hacks Apple has announced a new feature for iOS called ‘safety check,’ intended to aid those in ‘abusive relationships’ just days after TikTokers revealed iPhone hacks to catch cheating partners. Just like TikTok’s wide variety of dance trends and viral sound clips, the short-form video app is the home of a wide variety of viral life hacks as well. One example of these life hacks comes from users teaching others how to use their partner’s iPhone location data to catch them “cheating.” However, the CEO of the charity ‘Refuge’ has warned TikTokers to not advertise these features. She explained why: “Refuge supports women every day who have been harassed, stalked, controlled, and intimated by their partners or ex-partners who are using technology to perpetrate abuse.” During Apple’s WDCC showcase, they revealed a new feature of iOS 16 called ‘Safety Check’ that is intended on helping those in abusive relationships. Apple reveals ‘Safety Check’ iPhone feature The biggest issue with TikTokers sharing their viral “cheating” hacks, is that it could potentially show abusive partners how to access location data. Read More: What does POV mean on TikTok? – However, Apple’s new feature ‘Safety Check’ can help users manage app access and passwords, as well as inform the user who has their information and passwords. This will help people who may be in abusive, or even just long-standing, relationships cut ties from their former partner across devices by revoking access to certain apps from specific people. Apps like Find My, Location, Data, Contacts and more will allow people to regain confidence in their safety. It’s good to see Apple continue to focus on improving the safety of its users with a near-constant flow of updates. For more Tech news, check out our hub.

‘Apologize to Lisa’ trending after tweet about BLACKPINK star from NewJeans Global – Dexerto
‘Apologize to Lisa’ trending after tweet about BLACKPINK star from NewJeans Global Instagram: lalalalisa_mK-pop star Lisa Manoban of BLACKPINK is in the news because of a tweet from NewJeans Global, as fans call for an apology, with ‘Apologize to Lisa’ trending on X/Twitter. It is not surprising that fans of BLACKPINK are protective about their idols. Be it a negative tweet about them or fans claiming that YG Entertainment is overworking the artists, ‘Blinks’ always comes to their idols’ defense. The latest example is the trending phrase on Twitter (now known as X), “Apologize to Lisa”, which has gained traction with more than 280,000 tweets. This came about after a tweet by a fan account for K-pop group NewJeans triggered fans’ rage. NewJeans Global tweet angers BLACKPINK fans On a post from PopCraze’s Twitter account about Lisa, where they shared two pictures of her with the caption, “Blackpink’s Lisa looks amazing in new photos,” was the comment that started it off. The account commented under the post writing, “She looks terrible,” with a lot of emojis of barfing smileys and middle fingers. NewJeans Global is a huge fan account created for the group, which had 145,000 followers before the account was deleted. Fans took out their anger by demanding an apology, causing the phrase ‘Apologize to Lisa,’ to trend. NewJeans Global apologizes to fans and Lisa After receiving immense backlash, the account responded by apologizing and claiming their account was hacked, but fans refused to believe this. NewJeans Global said, “I don’t know if you guys noticed but we’re actively being hacked right now. We don’t know what is going on at all.” The statement asked fans to bear with them as they got things sorted, but BLACKPINK fans think this is all a facade and that the admin simply forgot to switch accounts before commenting on the post. A user said, “Stop pretending to be hacked. You just forgot to switch your account!” After this, the fanbase account switched its Twitter account to private and put out an official statement, which is now deleted, that read, “Please excuse us for our incompetence, we went private to avoid suspension due to the replies and comments we’ve been getting.” They went on to apologize to fans who felt targeted and claimed that they do not “condone” any type of harassment. Deeming it as their final response to the incident, they added that they had no control over the situation. NewJeans Global also apologized to Lisa in their statement. “We also apologize to Lisa for this inconvenience, we are not the people responsible for this act, our team would never lie about this.” However, social media users were still not convinced as the fan account went on to block several of Lisa’s fan pages. They said they were receiving death threats, and that they understand everybody’s frustrations. As of writing, the account of NewJeans Global on Twitter no longer exists. Many fans were enraged, as one user wrote, “You don’t get to always play victim to circumstances you created. Now it’s taking a toll on you. You can’t even properly explain and apologize.” Another said, “Now they’re blatantly accusing our fanbases of a serious offense. Our fanbases sending you death threats? Girl how far can you go just to cover up your lies?”

Apex Legends streamer suspiciously gains thousands of viewers after streaming for a week – Dexerto
Apex Legends streamer suspiciously gains thousands of viewers after streaming for a week Respawn EntertainmentOne of the newest Apex Legends Twitch streamers has shot to the top of the charts despite only starting his broadcasts a few days earlier. However, his success doesn’t seem to be without controversy. The channel in question, GunsAndGlitch, was only created on February 22, but has already amassed an incredible number of channel views in that time. However, the numbers don’t seem to add up as the channel has close to 3,000 followers, but over 40,000 channel views – bringing in more viewers than Michael ‘shroud’ Grzesiek’s pal, Chad ‘Chad’ Goff. The streamer believes he is being view botted by an outside source who is attempting to troll him After being asked about his stream’s viewing numbers by a viewer, the streamer responded: “Like eight days now (streaming for). I understand that we have lots of views, please report it – it is not actually us. There’s someone sending view bots to our channel, trying to get a rise out of us.” He added: “Just report it (the view botting), we’re waiting on Twitch to help us out with it right now.” The streamer may have a case in believing that somebody or a group of people are trying to troll him. One member managed to work their way onto his stream, accusing him of view botting himself – in order to build his channel up – before the troll shouted racial obscenities at him. (Viewer warning: the below clip is extremely NSFW and does contain racist terms) Members of the Livestream Fails and Apex Legends subreddits aren’t buying the story, however, believing that the streamer has something to hide after all of his prior VODs had been deleted. As of writing, the channel is still active on Twitch but it remains to be seen just as to who is telling the truth.

Apex Legends streamer goes nuts after killing Dizzy and King Richard – Dexerto
Apex Legends streamer goes nuts after killing Dizzy and King Richard Everyone always thinks of the big names when it comes to Twitch but not many think of the smaller streamers. Take a look at this streamer’s reaction to eliminating Dizzy and King Richard’s squad in Apex Legends. Apex Legends has been at or near the top of Twitch since its release in February. This has been buoyed by the many big streamers coming over to the game since its launch such as shroud, Ninja, summit1G and Dr Disrespect but Apex Legends has also made its own stars. Apex Legends has also made its own stars, with Dizzy being the most prominent. As part of Ninja and King Richard’s team, he won the inaugural Apex Legends tournament and hasn’t looked back since. While Dizzy was a relative unknown coming into Apex Legends he has since made quite the name for himself. He consistently racks up wins and double-digit kill games, making him a delight to watch. Alternatively, this means he also has a price on his head for other players. Small streamers can use all the publicity they can get which is why getting an elimination on Dizzy can be excellent for growth. Streamer ComedyRussell, a Twitch partner, recently killed Dizzy’s squad in Apex Legends and has pretty much the best reaction you could hope for, despite being killed himself immediately after. In the clip, we can see an engagement play out and when ComedyRussell begins to get the upper hand, he shares a lot of excitement. Be warned the clip above is incredibly not safe for work. On the other side of things, we have Dizzy who just treated it like a regular death. It’s always interesting to see how streamers engage with each other in games and this is a good example of what one does when they eliminate one of the more famous players on Twitch.

Apex Legends streamer Dizzy returns from hiatus to play Valorant – Dexerto
Apex Legends streamer Dizzy returns from hiatus to play Valorant Apex Legends/TwitchCoby ‘Dizzy’ Meadows practically took over Apex Legends esports before moving to streaming, and then leaving social media entirely in July. Now he’s back, and ready to take on a whole new challenge: Valorant. Dizzy was known for his stellar Apex Legends play, with thousands of viewers heading to his stream or whatever pro event he was playing in to watch him put on a show. He swept through basically everyone he came across in matches, leaving no doubt he was one of the best players around Then, in July 2020 he disappeared from the internet entirely, after stepping back from Apex esports in 2019 to focus on streaming the game. Now, after roughly six months, Dizzy has announced his return and the latest game he’ll attempt to master. In a Twitlonger announcing his return on January 18, dizzy said he was ready to get back to streaming and would be playing mostly Valorant this time around instead of Apex. Meadows also revealed that the passing of well-known WoW streamer and good friend Byron ‘reckful’ Bernstein in July, 2020, was one of the big reasons he took his break. “I felt like I wasn’t performing and felt like I just let everyone down with my constant breaks and inconsistent play. I felt I had just burnt myself out,” the streamer said in a Twitlonger. “Around the time of Byron’s passing I was thinking about him the night before and waking up the next morning to the news, I was heartbroken. I fell into a depressed state and just needed some time to myself. I needed a hiatus for my mental health.” “I’ve been slowly recovering and I feel like I’m ready to come back to streaming and plan on playing mainly Valorant,” dizzy continued. “I’ve also decided I’m going to start streaming on Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays. I look forward to being back. I missed you guys.” If you want to catch dizzy in person, head over to his Twitch channel at 4 PM EST on Monday, January 18, where he’ll be streaming for the first time in over half a year, and welcome him back. The loss of Reckful was definitely a hard time, not just for the WoW community but for Twitch as whole, and just add on the kind of year that 2020 seemed to be for everyone else, and we can understand why dizzy took some time off. It’s good to have him back though, and we can’t wait to see him pick up where he left off.

With this revitalization of the battle royale formula, many new faces have emerged onto the streaming scene, as viewers flock to find impressive Apex Legends gameplay. One of these new ‘faces’, NRG’s Coby ‘dizzy’ Meadows, did not have a known face, until he decided to reveal it on a stream on March 16. Meadows previously flirted with the professional CS:GO scene, but has always wanted to stream full time. Thanks to Apex Legends, it seems his dream is becoming a reality. According to social media monitoring site, SocialBlade, on February 4, the day of Apex Legends’ release, dizzy sat at just over 24,000 Twitch followers. Just over a month later, as of March 14, he has upwards of 500,000. He has been seen streaming with other popular streamers, such as Benjamin ‘Dr Lupo’ Lupo and Richard ‘KingRichard’ Nelson, but always without showing his face. However, this changed on March 16. Although he started with a mask on and joked to his chat that they were being ‘jebaited’, he quickly removed the mask to reveal his face, much to the enjoyment of his thousands of watching viewers. Meadows’ chat responded in an excited manner, with many commenting on how ‘cute’ the streamer was, while another simply went for ‘handsome as fuck’. As Apex Legends shows no signs of slowing down in terms of its popularity, it’s fair to say we can expect to see dizzy’s impressive following expand even more than it already has.

Apex Legends: Shroud demonstrates how ‘bad’ Wattson is, gets a kill anyway – Dexerto
Apex Legends: Shroud demonstrates how ‘bad’ Wattson is, gets a kill anyway Twitch, Shroud / Respawn EntertainmentMichael ‘ Apex Legends even before the character was released, but his demonstration wasn’t very convincing. The popular Twitch streamer, who said he “hated” playing with the new addition to the Apex Legends roster back in May during testing, dedicated some time during his July 2 stream to show just how easy it is to combat Wattson’s abilities. However, while he might have been trying to point out her weaknesses, the former CS:GO pro player couldn’t have been more shocked to find out that he accidentally got a kill. Shroud started to fire at the corners of Wattson’s Perimeter Security, which is basically an electrical fence defense mechanism, showing his fans the way that he thinks will make it easy to combat her in battle. “They could just go like this. These aren’t that sick,” he said, aiming in at the fence corners showing its weak spot. “They break very quickly, you just shoot them a couple of times.” Yet, as it was him that placed it down, the game doesn’t allow him to break it so he decided to stray away from the area and go in search of other players, before the funniest thing happened. As the ring was closing in and players had to move towards it, the game notified shroud that he had picked up a kill just moments after his demo. Wattson’s ability ironically knocked down an enemy that was coming up behind him, showing just how effective it can be in some situations, quite the contrary to shroud’s claims. “Are you serious? Did that just happen?” the streamer said, before breaking into laughter. “Oh my god it does that much damage? I didn’t know. They definitely buffed it then. That should not do that much.” There’s no way that he could have predicted the thing he was criticising was going to pick up a kill just seconds later. It’s fair to say that his chat couldn’t have been happier. Will it change his mind about Wattson? Unlikely, but only time will tell.

Apex Legends pro ImperialHal swatted during Twitch stream – Dexerto
Apex Legends pro ImperialHal swatted during Twitch stream TSM/Respawn EntertainmentPopular Apex Legends streamer and pro player Phillip ‘ImperialHal’ Dosen was swatted live on stream, causing concern among his fans and teammates. Popular streamers, YouTubers and other internet personalities are often the most common victims of swatting – when someone makes a hoax call to law enforcement in order to make the police force dispatch a number of armed officers to a certain place, commonly said personalities’ homes. On December 23, we saw Tfue get swatted live on stream and the hysteria that caused, and despite the dangers of it, it appears some still think it’s a fun idea to swat streamers. Late in his January 5 broadcast, ImperialHal became the latest victim of a swatting incident, and it was captured on camera for all of his viewers to hear exactly what was going down. Randomly between ranked matches, viewers heard a loud banging at ImperialHal’s door, followed up by a call of “Sheriff’s office,” making it clear almost immediately exactly what was going down. Read More: GTA Online exploit lets modders SWAT users – Dosen quickly gets up from his chair after registering the sound outside of his game and you can hear him talking to the armed officers as they explain to him what he needs to be doing. You can hear Hal complying with the police in the clip below, with them telling him to raise his hands and get on the ground for what they believe to be a serious crime to have been committed, with the streamer himself coming back a little while later, very calmly, explaining that he got swatted. Here is the entire incident from the start and when he returns, glad he is ok. Thats some real dirtbag shit to do. Someone can get seriously hurt, luckily Hal is calm as a statue before and after.. dont know how he does it. pic.twitter.com/VWwz8v8Ep4 — iLootGames (@iLootGames) January 6, 2021 He said the officers were “pretty civil,” and that despite kicking down the door they “didn’t do anything crazy,” although they “did have pistols and sh*t.” It does sound as though the officers had an idea about what was going on, realizing that Hal was streaming and playing video games online and suggesting he set up a VPN to try and prevent this from happening in the future. Needless to say, the potential dangers associated with swatting are absolutely incredible. Lives have been lost due to this and people jailed for up to 20 years, so the sooner this ends the better.

Apex Legends cosplayer banned from Twitch after using blackface on stream – Dexerto
Apex Legends cosplayer banned from Twitch after using blackface on stream Karupups, Instagram / Respawn EntertainmentTwitch has seen its fair share of controversy, including body-painting slip ups, livestreamed porn, and more – but one streamer’s use of racially charged makeup is stirring up outrage across the internet. Lithuanian Twitch streamer Karina ‘Karupups’ Martsinkevich caught flak for her cosplay of Apex Legends’ Lifeline, but not without cause – the cosplayer’s ensemble included a generous heaping of blackface makeup, which she applied during a live broadcast in mid-April. Karupups’ stream soon garnered backlash across social media, with users decrying her change in skin tone even while her broadcast was live. Karupup went live in a stream to create a cosplay of Apex Legends’ Lifeline – and soon found herself banned from the platform, reportedly due to using blackface.https://twitter.com/LordBalvin/status/1117146673690611712 Banned for using blackface The streamer was later banned from the platform, which many attributed to her use of blackface. This development appeared to be confirmed by Russian news outlet DTF, which claimed that Karupups had received a 30-day ban for “incitement to hatred towards a person or a group of people.” Karupup’s use of blackface to cosplay Apex Legends’ Lifeline earned her mass backlash online.https://dtf.ru/life/46791-twitch-zabanil-strimershu-karupups-iz-litvy-za-kospley-na-personazha-iz-apex-legends Karupups’ response to her Twitch ban Karupups herself called the cosplay “nothing but an image,” claiming that her viewers had been “interested” in her cosplay as she created the outfit on stream. “It was just an image, nothing more,” Karupups reportedly said of the debacle. “There was a big online, the guys asked how I dyed my hair, how make-up felt on my face, etc. They were interested. And in fact, many of those who threw the reports, then wrote to me in the Discord, they say, get a ban, we tried…” https://dtf.ru/life/46791-twitch-zabanil-strimershu-karupups-iz-litvy-za-kospley-na-personazha-iz-apex-legends Controversy throughout the cosplay community Karupups’ cosplay even saw responses from within the cosplay community at large, with popular costumer ‘Kayyybearxo’ speaking out on the issue in a lengthy series of Tweets. “Some people don’t seem to understand why painting your skin darker is wrong,” she explained. “Being black isn’t a costume you can wear when you want. At the end of the day, you can wash off your face paint and never have to deal with anything that real [people of color] have to deal with.” Some people dont seem to understand why painting your skin darker is wrong. Being black isnt a costume you can wear when you want. At the end of the day, you can wash off your face paint and never have to deal with anything that real POC people have to deal with…:skin-tone-4:♀️ — kay bear  (@kayyybearxo) April 14, 2019 Kayyybear herself created a Lifeline cosplay that went viral in early March; however, her take on the character also received some unpleasant vitriol, with angry users harassing the cosplayer for creating a ‘lewd’ version of the support legend. Kayyybearxo’s Lifeline cosplay received praise throughout the internet – but some fans weren’t happy with her ‘lewd’ take on the character. Kayyybear likewise went under fire for her Jill Valentine cosplay in early April, for which she received a plethora of racist comments – prompting her to speak out on the matter with an encouraging post despite the hate.

Apex Legends confirms ban for streamer accused of cheating by NRG Rogue – Dexerto
Apex Legends confirms ban for streamer accused of cheating by NRG Rogue An Apex Legends developer has confirmed that a player has been banned after being accused of cheating by popular Apex Legends streamer Rogue, which sparked controversy in the community. A Taiwanese streamer known as ’15y’ and his two friends got into the same game as the popular streamer and content creator for NRG, Tanner ‘Rogue’ Trebb. After Rogue 15y downed Dropped, another top-level player on Rogue’s team, they were quick to suggest that 15y was cheating. While the altercation between 15y and Rogue took place, Eric ‘Ghost‘ Hewitt, Lead competitive development manager, and Conor ‘Hideouts‘ Ford, security analyst for Respawn, were watching Rogue’s stream. A few minutes after the game ended, Ghost asked for the user name of the suspected cheater in Rogue’s chat. Shortly after, 15y was banned. The followers of the Taiwanese squad quickly flooded Rogue with hate for supposedly being responsible for the ban, claiming that 15y was not in fact cheating. “I didn’t ban him. I’m not the guy who bans people. Hideouts is the one who bans them guys, not me,” Rogue said. “Ask Hideouts why he got banned. If we think someone is suspect, and we think they are potentially cheating, Hideouts comes in chat and asks, then he checks their account. He’s not just going to listen to me.” This led fans to accuse the developers of jumping the gun on the ban, with a Reddit thread posted on August 9 garnering significant attention, labeling Rogue’s actions “evil.” However, Hideouts responded to the thread, explaining 15y’s account was connected to another two accounts that were caught cheating. “Ban was temporary while investigated,” Hideouts said. 15y supposedly gave his friends the accounts to play on, and they were apparently caught used cheats. Although 15y claims he didn’t cheat, account sharing is still against Apex Legend’s TOS. “User is not banned right now but may lose account privileges due to selling of accounts to cheaters,” Hideouts concluded. Hideouts is a well-known name in the Apex community, often at the helm of dishing out bans for hackers and players using exploits, particularly in high-level ranked matches. Players were initially angered, believing that the devs had blindly banned the player on nothing more than the word of Rogue, but it appears they had good reason to take action in this case.

Apex Legends caster under fire after calling casters the “least important” part of a broadcast – Dexerto
Apex Legends caster under fire after calling casters the “least important” part of a broadcast Respawn EntertainmentApex Legends E-sports caster @im_b_rad_ttv came under scrutiny from fans and peers alike for voicing his opinion that casters are the “least important part of a broadcast” and should be “paid like it”. The terms e-sports caster, commentator, or broadcaster are often used to describe the person commenting over professional e-sports games and tournaments, describing the action, explaining the strategies, and enhancing the viewer experience. This commentary is often praised and appreciated by viewers, with some casters becoming celebrities in their own right. But Apex Legends caster @im_b_rad_ttv believes that this commentary is the “least important” part of the entire broadcast, an opinion which he shared over Twitter and met staunch resistance from viewers responding to the Tweet. E-sports caster gets blasted for undermining the importance of his job The Tweet in question comes from @im_b_rad_ttv Twitter account belonging to an Apex Legends caster who on July 11 wrote: “Esports hot take. Casters are the least important part of a broadcast and should be paid like it. Admins, observers, and production are more essential to a broadcast.” And a hot take it turned out to be as nearly immediately viewers and other casters disagreed with Brad on different statements contained in the one Tweet. “Never thought the voice of oce would come across like such a pick-me. If youre in that much of a hurry to devalue the craft of casting just go and undercut your peers. More effective and produces one less utter tripe opinion on the internet,” wrote another caster, Mitch Leslie. “I think this might be the most ignorant thing I’ve read about not just esports, but broadcasting in general,” added Erik Lonnquist. Even readers who partially agreed with the statement partially opposed Brad’s take on the broadcasting profession. “From the perspective of ‘can the event go ahead without them’ or not? Yeah, I agree. You can always just have player comms/music for sound. But Hosts/Casters really do enrich and enliven events. I would rather watch an event with them, than without,” wrote one user. Apex Legends: Binging with Babish takes on Mirage’s “unpalatable” recipe – Dexerto
Apex Legends: Binging with Babish takes on Mirage’s “unpalatable” recipe YouTube cooking star Andrew Rea, known for his show ‘Binging with Babish,’ jumped into Apex Legends’ recipe for Mirage’s glazed pork chops – which didn’t start out too well. Babish experienced a meteoric rise through the saturated YouTube cooking content market after launching his film-and-TV-inspired recipe videos in 2016. Since then he’s been one of the most successful content creators on the site by mixing pop culture, humor, and easy-to-follow instructional videos to great effect. Though since his rise to fame, the YouTuber has been exploring recipes from his other passions in entertainment which covers video games and Respawn Entertainment’s mega-popular battle royale. Apex Legends recipe in real life In his October 29 video, Babish took on Mirage’s recipe for glazed pork chops which was “sneakily included in one of the game’s loading screens.” Like many of his recreations, Babish starts out with a dish that’s true to the source material before giving his spin on the plate in hopes of improving it. Though he found the first version of the recipe suspect since it required “15 grams of ground cloves.” He marched on to eventually tasting Mirage’s “unpalatable” dish which needed major upgrades. Fortunately, Senior Writer at Respawn Entertainment Manny Hagopian had a “confession” about the original recipe. “Confession: Mirage gave me this recipe in a dream,” Hagopian said. “But I screwed up [conversions] to metrics on the first run – thanks for the redemption call out [Babish]!” #ApexLegends Confession: Mirage gave me this recipe in a dream, but I screwed up conversations to metrics on the first run – thanks for the redemption call out @BingingWBabish! Glad you liked the glaze! Glazed Pork Chops from Apex Legends https://t.co/FPUbJnxWRW #bamboozle — Manny Hagopian (@MannyHagopian) October 29, 2019 With revised recipe in hand, the second run went much better – seeing as the YouTuber was actually able to swallow a bite and even complimenting the flavor combinations. But improvements could still be made. To start, Babish made a sweet potato puree to accompany the pork chops, along with the peppery-pineapple blended sauce for glazing. After taking the piece of air-sealed meat out of its sous vide bath and preparing it with the glaze and puree, the 32-year-old cooking star was astounded with how the dish turned out. “Somebody better call Ugly Delicious, because this [dish looks] ugly but oh my god it is delicious,” Babish said. “It ranks among, maybe, in the top 5 dishes I’ve ever made.” With a few improvements, it looks like Babish was able to make a great dish from the Apex Legends recipe.

AOC says “let’s do it” to more Among Us streams with Hasan and others – Dexerto
AOC says “let’s do it” to more Among Us streams with Hasan and others CNN / TwitchPopular Congresswoman Alexandra Ocasio Cortez, also known as AOC, confirmed on Twitter that she is interested in jumping back on Twitch to do a live-stream of Among Us once again similarly to how she did back in 2020 with many popular streamers. Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio Cortez, known by her fans and the public as AOC, has confirmed that she will be hopping back on Among Us to play alongside some of the world’s biggest streamers. The confirmation arose on Twitter, when AOC replied to a tweet from Ben Collins stating “David Sacks just ludicrously made up that Ron DeSantis’ Twitter space was the largest group that “has ever met online.” There are 100,000 people in this thing.” AOC’s initial reply simply said, “We had more people join when I played Among Us” to which Hasan replied and said, “Let’s run it back.” Moments later, AOC responded to Hasan and confirmed that she would be interested in booting up Among Us again, writing “Yeah let’s do it.” At the end of 2020, AOC decided to further her reach with young voters by hoping on the streaming platform, Twitch, to play some games and chat with her audience. Backing her up was an impressive range of some of the most popular streamers on the platform, including Hasan, DrLupo, Pokimane, and others. The short series of streams reached hundred of thousands of people, with many praising the Congresswoman for thinking outside of the box and finding innovative and entertaining ways to engage with people. AOC to play Among Us on Twitch with Hasan and others once again While AOC has seemingly confirmed that she is interested in doing another live-stream, it is unclear which Twitch stars will be joining her this time around. Given the Twitter exchange between herself and Hasan, it’s safe to assume he will feature. However, we’ll be sure to keep you updated if any other notable streamer throws their hat into the ring and express interest. For all the latest entertainment news and updates, be sure to check out Dexerto’s full coverage here.

How to watch AOC play Among Us with Pokimane & Hasan on Twitch – Dexerto
How to watch AOC play Among Us with Pokimane & Hasan on Twitch Hasan/Pokimane/InnerslothU.S. politician Alexandria ‘AOC’ Ocasio-Cortez nearly broke Twitter when she asked, completely out of the blue, if anyone would want to play Among Us with her on Twitch – and now we have all the info on how to watch her stream with Pokimane, Hasan, and more. AOC serves as U.S. Representative for New York’s 14th congressional district, and while she also moonlights as a League of Legends player, she’s also looking into trying her hand at the hit party game Among Us now too. Based on the explosion of responses, replies, and offers to play her initial invitation received, it’s no surprise it took less than a day for it to get scheduled for 9PM ET on Oct. 20. Anyone want to play Among Us with me on Twitch to get out the vote? (I’ve never played but it looks like a lot of fun) — Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (@AOC) October 19, 2020 One of the thousands of people to reply was Twitch’s own Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys, who said “it’d be an honor” to play with the politician, and even offered to help set up her stream if she needed any. AOC told Poki she would be creating an account and getting some streaming equipment to make it happen, which apparently didn’t take long since she announced the Among Us match would be going down October 20 at 9PM EST. How to watch AOC’s Among Us stream It didn’t take long for the Congresswoman to start her own Twitch channel, which appeared shortly after talking with Poki and Hasan, so you’ll be able to catch the stream there, to start. Obviously Poki and Hasan will both be broadcasting the event as well, and you can find all three streams embedded below: AOC Pokimane Hasan Three people do not make a full lobby, though, and while there’s no official list of participants going around Minnesota Congresswoman Ilhan Omar also indicated she would be jumping in, and YouTuber Jacksepticeye said he’d he joining as well. It makes sense for politicians to expand their outreach to Twitch, as the site reaches millions of people in that sweet, sweet teen-through-young adult category each month. This strategy is nothing new either, and it shows no signs of slowing down either. When Bernie Sanders was still running for president in 2019 for instance, his first Twitch stream drew tens of thousands of viewers – even though we, unfortunately, did not get to see Bernie actually throw down in Overwatch (not yet, at least).

AOC raises $200K with star-studded Among Us Twitch stream – Dexerto
AOC raises $200K with star-studded Among Us Twitch stream Innersloth/Wikimedia CommonsUS congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez continued her insane Twitch streaming success with another exhibition of Among Us play. AOC aimed to raise money to “fight food and housing insecurity” on Thanksgiving. AOC announced on November 26 that she would be joining Canadian politician Jagmeet Singh on an Among Us Twitch stream, and said: “Canadian Members of Parliament & US Members of Congress venting each other into space. What could go wrong?” Not much did go wrong. AOC joined the likes of Hasan and the freshly unbanned xQc in a six-hour Twitch stream of pure Among Us betrayal and mind games. Her dog, Deco, also made an appearance, although he was unable to help her out as she’d already been killed off in the ongoing round. AOC raises $200k during Among Us Twitch stream After six hours, AOC announced that she had raised a staggering $200k to combat food insecurity and eviction defense, as well as to fund community projects, in the USA. “We did it! $200k raised in one live stream (on a whim!) for eviction defense, food pantries, and more,” she tweeted after the stream. “This is going to make such a huge difference for those who need it most right now. Thank you all.” We did it! $200k raised in one livestream (on a whim!) for eviction defense, food pantries, and more. This is going to make such a difference for those who need it most right now. Thank you all 👾💞 https://t.co/KX5m5GXJ9B — Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (@AOC) November 28, 2020 This was AOC’s second major Twitch stream. In October, she streamed Among Us for three hours in a bid to get people out voting for the US General Election. In 2016, voter turnout among people aged 18-29 was just 46%, so AOC made it her personal mission to pump that number up. She also explained how fighting off toxicity from teammates in League of Legends has prepared her for congress, as she said: “Getting caught in elo hell and playing with 12-year-olds who are rage-quitting really builds your patience.” AOC streaming could be happening much more frequently in the future. She’s already committed to doing another Twitch stream, but she’s going to be figuring out “where, with whom, what we’ll play” at some undetermined point. This could mean we could see her branch out from Among Us into streaming other games. There is the possibility that she could link up with Pokimane for a League stream at some point. She named enchanters like Sona, Janna and Morgana as her favorite champs, so some botlane duoq could be in the works.

AOC explains how Elo Hell in League helped her prepare for Congress – Dexerto
AOC explains how Elo Hell in League helped her prepare for Congress AOC / Riot GamesIn her second Twitch stream, AOC hilariously explained how experiencing Elo Hell in League of Legends helped her develop the patience required for being a congresswoman. U.S. Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, affectionally known as AOC, has been open about how much she loves League of Legends in the past. The proud politician even stunned her fans and followers when she revealed she finally made Silver IV. It might have been her first foray into the minds and hearts of gamers around the world, but it certainly wasn’t the last. In October, AOC made history when hundreds of thousands of viewers tuned in to watch her play Among Us on Twitch for the very first time. AOC was so well-loved among streamers and viewers, they begged her to come back for a second stream. It finally happened on November 27, and it was as wholesome and entertaining as the first. At one point during the stream, Ryan ‘Northernlion’ Letourneau asked AOC an interesting question about her League of Legends experience and her response was both understandable and hilarious. “Do you think having to keep your cool in League of Legends chat has helped your political career when it comes to maintaining some decorum in Congress?” asked Northernlion. “Yeah, I think so,” said AOC. “Getting caught in Elo Hell really requires so much patience. I was playing with 12-year-olds… rage quitting five minutes into a game… so it really builds your patience.” Elo Hell is a term used to describe situations where players and their rankings are dragged down due to incompetent and toxic teammates. It’s something League of Legends players know all too well, including AOC. AOC has always managed to come across as down-to-earth. Still, it’s comforting and kind of funny to hear an esteemed congresswoman talk about something so relatable, especially to gamers. Elo Hell in League of Legends is the absolute pits, but at least we now know it counts for something.

Antonio Garza calls out Jeffree Star for ‘strange’ unfollowing spree – Dexerto
Antonio Garza calls out Jeffree Star for ‘strange’ unfollowing spree Antonio Garza / Jeffree StarAntonio Garza is still confused about the time Jeffree Star erratically followed her and liked all her posts on social media, then suddenly unfollowed her after he thought she tweeted about him. Antonio Garza is an open book despite being incredibly popular on YouTube. She rose to fame after fans loved her series of beauty and makeup transformation videos and now has more than 3.6 million subscribers. Like most influencers, she’s been involved in some drama over the years. The most obvious case was when she fell out with fellow YouTube sensation James Charles after he was involved in a series of scandals. In a post that she uploaded on TikTok, Antonio Garza was reminiscing about a bizarre situation between her and Jeffree Star. She called him out for obsessively following her on social media, and then suddenly unfollowing her. “I don’t know why I’m saying this on the internet,” said Antonio Garza. “But I’m thinking about the time that Jeffree Star followed me on Twitter, and then he unfollowed me on Twitter, and then he followed me back on Twitter.” “Then, he followed me on every other social media platform, and… started liking all of my posts on… every single platform,” she said. “And then he started… saying things in his videos that I said in my videos, like quoting me and stuff.” “And then, I tweeted something one day, and he thought it was about him, and then he unfollowed me on every social media platform,” she added. “Like it wasn’t even about him. And I was half his age. I still am. What was that about?” https://twitter.com/defnoodles/status/1340756352910589952?s=20 The situation happened several years ago when Antonio Garza was about 16 years old. It left her feeling strange and confused, and it seems like it hasn’t escaped her mind ever since. Some people think she is overthinking and overreacting about it, and it might be an attempt to stir up some drama. However, many others think her reaction is perfectly normal. Either way, Jeffree Star hasn’t responded and probably won’t. It’s not the first time someone has followed and then dramatically unfollowed someone on social media, and it won’t be the last.

Antonio Brown wants to train Jake Paul to join the NFL – Dexerto
Antonio Brown wants to train Jake Paul to join the NFL YouTube: ImpaulsiveNFL star Antonio Brown offered to help train YouTube and boxing sensation Jake Paul in preparation for his NFL dreams while appearing on his brother Logan’s Impaulsive podcast. Jake Paul has made a huge mark on the sport of boxing in recent years, becoming one of the highest-earning fighters in the sport. Dominance on social media and in the ring isn’t enough for the younger Paul brother, though. He’s made plain his desire to play football in the National Football League, in particular for his native Cleveland Browns. Eyeing up a role as a safety, receiver, or cornerback, Jake has no doubt in his ability to play for an NFL team — and what better way to get into the fold than training with one of the best wide receivers in the game? Like Jake, AB hasn’t exactly made headlines for the best reasons in recent years. Most recently, he walked off the field halfway through a match while his Tampa Bay Buccaneers were losing to perennial outfits New York Jets. He was promptly released by the Bucs. So with two such strong personalities like Jake and Antonio, you can guarantee things would get interesting — even more so if Brown can actually get Paul NFL-ready. Jake explained on the Impaulsive podcast that he had hit Brown up to help teach him a little, and the NFL star said that he had “a whole facility for them to run some routes.” While Jake fancies himself as a slot receiver, however, Brown thinks the boxer would be better suited as a safety because “he wants to hit some sh*t.” Timestamp 42:18 Jake went on to joke that it would “hurt his ego” if people scored touchdowns on him and also backed Brown’s decision to storm off the field during the game against the Jets. Brown explained that with Paul’s attitude, he can go on to do whatever he wants to do. The two seem almost like a match made in heaven, but it would be truly groundbreaking if Paul did manage to forge an NFL career for himself — even with the help of some of the best.

Antonio Brown threatens to sue Logan Paul over phony fight poster – Dexerto
Antonio Brown threatens to sue Logan Paul over phony fight poster Antonio Brown, Instagram / Logan Paul, YouTubeYouTuber Logan Paul has made no secret of his plans to box NFL star Antonio Brown — but the two have yet to make an official agreement, giving Brown quite the surprise after coming across a fan-made poster for their potential bout. The “rivalry” between Brown and Paul began after the football pro challenged “The Maverick” to a boxing match via Twitter in January. Since then, their feud has grown consistently more heated, with the two finally coming face to face to talk smack after the viral Jake Paul vs AnEsonGib fight on January 30. THE SAGA CONTINUES! @LoganPaul @AB84 😱😱😱 pic.twitter.com/AIJWomFUIy — Mike Majlak (@mikemajlak) February 2, 2020 However, things appear to have gotten quite personal for Brown, who is now coming after his YouTube opponent over a fan-made flyer created in anticipation for their proposed fight. Brown called out the YouTuber in an Instagram post after discovering the poster, which boasted a placeholder date and venue that could easily appear legit to those out of the loop. That’s not all: the football star is now planning to take legal action against Paul because of the flyer, as he stated in an Instagram story shortly after his callout post. “Imma charge Logan with infraction… for using my image,” Brown challenged. “Tell Logan to send me the contract, or Imma sue him. Imma sue him like I sued the other YouTuber. I’m about to sue the kid and destroy him, for using the wrong likeness.” Logan isn’t the only YouTuber Brown is going after, either; he’s likewise beefing with YouTuber “Deestroying,” who also called out the sports star for being charged with burglary and battery after recently assaulting a delivery truck. “The reason this impacts me so much man, is that I got to know AB really well, and all these actions recently just seem like a loud cry for help, bro,” Deestroying said in a video discussing the matter, explaining that the two were “good friends.” Although it’s very unlikely that Brown’s potential suit against Paul will actually hold up in court, considering that the poster was made by a 21-year-old fan in Britain with no affiliation to either personality. However, if the NFL star does file a suit, it could hurt the chance of their fight ever happening, so all fans can do at this point is just watch and wait for further developments.

Antonio Brown tells Logan Paul to “get the papers” for boxing showdown – Dexerto
Antonio Brown tells Logan Paul to “get the papers” for boxing showdown Antonio Brown has issued a direct challenge to Logan Paul regarding their potential boxing showdown, ordering the YouTube entertainer to “get the papers” after the stars publicly locked horns on social media earlier this week. The former Steelers star hasn’t been subtle in his attempts to goad Paul into a high-profile fight, telling him to “square up” in a Twitter callout, and suggesting he’d “f**k up” the YouTube star during an interview on Barstool Sports’ KFC Radio. Now Brown, whose stint with the New England superteam lasted just 11 days before he was cut due to sexual assault allegations, has turned to a career in rap under the moniker “AB,” and is gunning for six rounds in the ring with Paul. Brown’s salvo aimed to Paul on Monday, which saw the YouTube star respond that he would “drop [AB] faster than the Patriots,” seemed to be the only time the two would clash. It seems, however, the NFL star’s callout was dead serious. “He was calling me out for a couple of months, and he said he wanted to fight me… that he’s down to fight,” Brown told Complex after the release of his new rap single “Whole Lotta Money,” which he’s been spruiking for the past few weeks. “Yeah, if he really want to do it… if old Logan want to come, see if he wants to get a little rumble on. I’ve been hearing him talk about it a lot. Get that paper right so I can get out to Vegas and get in my zone.” While there’s plenty that believe Brown wouldn’t stand a chance against the YouTuber in a one-on-one duel in the ring — Odds Shark even opened the betting at Paul -2000, Brown +1000 — the All-Pro wide receiver is oozing with confidence. That confidence comes, in part, from the fact Logan Paul is now 0–2 against fellow internet star Olajide ‘KSI’ Olatunji. After losing in a semi-pro bout in 2018, the American fell to a second defeat by decision at the Staples Centre in November. “Yeah, he got beat man, he’s just been taking Ls all over,” Brown added when discussing their potential 2020 showdown, but added that he was impressed by his marketing expertise. “He made a good pop though, made a lot of money.” That’s a sentiment AB has stuck to when discussing the man he wants to touch gloves with sometime this year: he’s a “big fan,” and has a lot of respect for Paul. “It seems like Logan is a boxer for real, he’s a cool guy,” Brown said. “Came to my house a couple years ago at the Superbowl. He’s promoting his craft and his brand, so it would be an honor if I could hook up with him. I think it would be pretty fun.” Of course, no matter what level of respect the NFL star has for Paul, he still wants to lay him out if the two do eventually meet in a bout that could “break the internet.” Apparently, he’s so serious about delivering the YouTuber his second pro boxing loss, he’s already enlisted the help of 50–0 undefeated superstar Floyd Mayweather. Now all that needs to happen is for Paul to pull the trigger. “Yeah, I’m going to be out in Vegas, and if Logan confirms, if he’s serious about it, I’ll be working with Floyd,” Brown confirmed. “I don’t want him [Paul] to be writing checks you can’t cash, you know. Paul, you’re coming after me for a couple of months, so I finally hit him up like, “Hey man, I’ve seen this too much.” He must really want to make this happen.” It looks like the wheels could be in motion for the major high-profile fight too, after Paul’s lieutenant Mike Majlak leaked a conversation between the two that suggested they were preparing to approach Maddison Square Garden for the bout. 🗽🚀 @LoganPaul @AB84 @TheGarden 🤯🤯 pic.twitter.com/q8KsKTOWoi — Mike Majlak (@mikemajlak) January 8, 2020 Whether or not Brown and Paul do eventually step into the ring, it looks like there could be a few months of speculation and build-up ahead of the title fight before it’s eventually decided, with both sides happy to let it play out across the internet. Now, the only question is who wins — the YouTuber who trained as a boxer for the past year, or a four-time All-Pro star with a decade of NFL experience under his belt.

Antonio Brown slams Logan Paul after falling for fake fight poster – Dexerto
Antonio Brown slams Logan Paul after falling for fake fight poster Antonio Brown, Instagram / Logan Paul, YouTubeYouTube star Logan Paul is aiming for a boxing match against the NFL’s Antonio Brown, but so far, the two have been unable to make a deal, which explains Brown’s shock upon seeing a mockup poster for their potential fight. After bantering back and forth on social media about their boxing prowess, things got physical once Logan Paul and Antonio Brown went head to head after the Jake Paul vs AnEsonGib boxing match. However, that wasn’t the last of their “rivalry,” thanks to an overeager fan who pulled together a poster in preparation for a boxing match between the two stars. THE SAGA CONTINUES! @LoganPaul @AB84 😱😱😱 pic.twitter.com/AIJWomFUIy — Mike Majlak (@mikemajlak) February 2, 2020 The poster, made by London-based graphic designer Rob Hand, features Paul and Brown facing off against a red and blue background and was later published by Instagram media outlet “TheBreadBatch.” Even sporting a “placeholder” date and venue, the flyer looks incredibly legit to those not in the loop. In fact, it was so convincing that even Brown himself thought the poster was real, prompting an Instagram tirade against his YouTube rival. https://www.instagram.com/p/B8FLdc2Adsd/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link “This is really getting out of hand with these young YouTubers,” Brown commented. “Business is business and respect is respect! What’s going on here is not a case of respect or good business… you and your team are promoting my likeness to generate revenue before we came to an agreement.” That’s not all: ironically, the NFL star falling for this fake poster could end up making their fight even more of a possibility, as he called for Paul and his team to “send the contract so we can take care of business.” https://www.instagram.com/p/B8NT_xwBunf/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link This comes as welcome news to those hoping for their fight, as Brown reportedly shut down two “multi million dollar” offers from Paul in the past, prompting the internet star to threaten him with a “diss track.” Sports broadcasting service DAZN is also in talks with Brown and Paul, although a date and venue have yet to be revealed, with promoter Eddie Hearn stating: “This isn’t a YouTuber, this is a national sports star who was a huge star in a sport that’s followed by basically the entire country. …We’d like to make this happen but speaking to his agents, his priority is to get on a team.” With all eyes trained on the pair, only time will tell if they will actually come to an agreement, leading to yet another massive chapter in the history of celebrity boxing.

Antonio Brown reveals Kanye West song collab on Impaulsive – Dexerto
Antonio Brown reveals Kanye West song collab on Impaulsive YouTube: Jimmy Kimmel Live / IMPAULSIVEAntonio Brown appeared as a guest on the latest episode of Logan Paul’s IMPAULSIVE podcast and revealed that he is working with Kanye West on an upcoming new song. On episode 311 of IMPAULSIVE, Logan and Mike sat down with NFL wide receiver Antonio Brown for an information-packed interview. Throughout the video, the three covered tons of trending topics, and the star wideout revealed an unexpected new collaboration he has coming up with none other than Kanye West. Antonio Brown is making a song with Kanye West The former Super Bowl champ, Antonio Brown, has been all over the news after running off of the field in style and leaving the Buccaneers organization back in January. Since then, he’s been seen with the likes of Floyd Mayweather, Madonna, and Kanye West in Los Angeles. And now, we may have more of an idea what he’s been up to since leaving football. AB revealed that he has been working on a song in collaboration with Kanye West while he was in Los Angeles, saying, “We got one brewing, got one coming soon.” When co-host Mike Majlak asked him to confirm this, Brown reaffirmed that it’s actually happening. However, the group quickly moved on to another topic afterwards, so little else is known about thus far. [Clip begins at 6:59 for mobile users] Throughout the interview, the group talked about a litany of other things from boxing to training Jake Paul for the NFL – but perhaps nothing was a bigger bombshell than a potential song with Kanye West, someone AB sympathizes with. Brown defended Kanye, who has been another target of the larger media throughout the past several months. “He does a good job of handling [the media] and being able to focus on the goal,” Brown said. Both figures are controversial in their own right, but there’s no doubting their star power, especially when combining forces. Whatever you may think of the star wideout, this episode is packed with interesting moments and some hilarious tidbits and is definitely not one to miss.

Antonio Brown becomes latest star to challenge Logan Paul to a fight – Dexerto
Antonio Brown becomes latest star to challenge Logan Paul to a fight Controversial NFL star Antonio Brown has become the latest star to challenge Logan Paul to a potential fight, with the former Patriots star calling out the YouTuber on Twitter. Logan Paul isn’t taking his loss to KSI in their 2019 boxing bout lightly. The nail-biting defeat has kicked the American into gear, swapping codes to Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) and looking to take on some of the world’s best in 2020 and beyond. His swap hasn’t gone unnoticed by sporting and entertainment royalty, with big names coming out of the woodwork teasing bouts with Paul. Antonio Brown is the latest in a long line of names to put themselves forward for a prospective bout, tweeting a cryptic message at Paul on January 6. Brown tweeted out a short “square up” threat at Paul, with the NFL star hinting he’s ready to take the YouTuber down. He also appeared on American radio show KFC Radio, saying he’s ready to “f**k Paul up.” He is aware of the challenge too, quipping back a quick retort at Brown on Twitter. “I’d drop you faster than the Patriots,” he said. While it might all just be a ruse, with the off-season approaching there’s still a chance it could happen. Betting agencies like Odds Shark have already opened the books for the bout, with Logan Paul drawing ahead as the favorite just hours after the challenge was initially tweeted. i’d drop you faster than the patriots https://t.co/Vv592JRkxk — Logan Paul (@LoganPaul) January 7, 2020 Opening odds for a potential boxing match between @LoganPaul and @AB84 (BetOnline): Logan Paul -2000 Antonio Brown +1000— Odds Shark (@OddsShark) January 7, 2020 The 31-year-old wide receiver was a part of the New England Patriots line-up who were recently knocked out of Superbowl contention by the Tennessee Titans. He is now a free agent. Weighing in at around 185 pounds, he comes in slightly lighter than Paul’s 189lb, but the professional athlete is unlikely to be phased regardless. Logan Paul has been training hard to make the swap into MMA, saying it was a dream of his to fight at least one bout in 2020. Two fights are in the works, one for both MMA and boxing, according to the YouTuber, so fans will have something to look forward to as the year progresses. 👀👀👀 @AB84 @LoganPaul @KFCradio https://t.co/DEWLj2MR9F — Rough N’ Rowdy (@roughnrowdy) January 7, 2020 Brown joins the likes of Joel ‘JMX’ Morris in the waiting list for a Paul fight. JMX called out Paul for a scrap on January 2, with the FIFA YouTuber fighting on the undercard of KSI vs Joe Weller in 2018, and later on in the KSI vs Logan Paul undercard. JMX also has experience in MMA, winning his first professional bout back in November 2019, afterwards stating that he’d “love to knee the sh*t out of” Paul. Paul has likely got something in the works, and with no shortage of challengers, he will be the one with the power to inevitably decide who takes him on for pride and glory later in the year.

Antonio Brown hits back at Logan Paul after first “low” fight offer – Dexerto
Antonio Brown hits back at Logan Paul after first “low” fight offer Antonio Brown has seemingly rejected the initial fight offer from Logan Paul’s team, and told the YouTube star he would have to “call back” with a much higher offer if he wants the former NFL star to officially put pen to paper. The former New England Patriots wide receiver has been embroiled in a war of words with the YouTuber since firing off an initial salvo on January 7, and backed up his callout by demanding Paul “get the papers” days later. Well, Paul and his team reacted accordingly, getting together the necessary legal documents, and sending them through to AB. All seemed to be going well for the potential showdown in the ring in 2020, except for a hitch on Brown’s end. “Antonio Brown needs this fight” As soon as he was called out on Twitter, Paul has gone on the offensive – first, the YouTuber turned boxer suggested he’d “drop [AB] faster than the Patriots,” before adding he believes his potential ring-rival “needs this fight now more than ever.” “In many ways, the KSI fight gave me a purpose,” Paul said, and suggested a similar path to redemption could be on the cards for AB. “I think this would do this for Antonio Brown… give him a nice payday, give him a chance to redeem himself.” Logan’s latest barb comes after news Brown threw “a bag of d**ks” at police offers following an altercation with his ex-girlfriend Chelsie Kyriss. The phallic objects were lollies, Brown later revealed, but the move has still landed him in hot water. Paul also confirmed the first official offer for the potential six-round throwdown had been sent to the former Steelers star on January 13, and directed a commanding tweet towards Brown with another message: “Make it happen.” Antonio Brown needs this fight now more than ever. i know the official offer was sent to him today, make it happen @AB84 — Logan Paul (@LoganPaul) January 13, 2020 AB wants to see the big money Unfortunately for all those who want to see the divisive YouTube star and the disgraced NFL wide receiver duke it out in the ring as soon as possible, Brown seemed less than impressed with what Paul’s team had put together. According to the former Steelers star, the fight offer was far lower than what he was initially expecting. Not only was he not interested in signing the papers, Brown took the opportunity to take another jab at his potential opponent. “#s [sic] low,” he posted on Instagram alongside an image of Logan Paul’s January 13 tweet, just hours after his potential YouTube rival had first confirmed a deal had even been put to paper and sent to AB. “Call back when your business boomin’.” https://www.instagram.com/p/B7R985-hNU1/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link The show is still – probably – on the road After Brown’s rapid-fire response regarding the official deal, it looks like the ball is back in Paul’s court, and the fight may be on ice if an arrangement suited to both parties can’t be struck while the feud is hot. Despite the snag in contract negotiations, however, Logan Paul admits he’s “extremely optimistic” the high-profile bout will go ahead. He’s so optimistic, he even revealed on the latest episode of his Impaulsive podcast that he believes it will be the “biggest fight of 2020,” even over-shadowing the return of MMA legend Conor McGregor and the impending Fury–Wilder duel. “He may be pushed out, but people know who [Brown] is, and people want to see him win, or get beat up… just like me, that’s why fights work, that’s why there’s interest in the bouts,” the YouTuber said during Episode 149 of his podcast. Logan isn’t the only Paul with a fight on the horizon right now either – younger brother Jake is squaring up to battle AnEsonGib on January 30, though it seems both fighters already have their eyes locked on other potential challenges. For now, that impending battle may have to whet the appetite, as LP and AB iron out the nitty-gritty details in what can only be assumed will be a big-money contract to get both American fighters into the ring sometime this year.

Antonio Brown arrest warrant spells bad news for Logan Paul boxing match – Dexerto
Antonio Brown arrest warrant spells bad news for Logan Paul boxing match Logan Paul, Antonio Brown – InstagramTop YouTuber Logan Paul and NFL star Antonio Brown seemed set for an impromptu boxing match — but Brown’s recent arrest warrant could put a stop to their celebrity showdown. In reports provided by ESPN, Florida police issued a warrant for Brown’s arrest on Wednesday, January 22, after allegations surfaced that claimed both he and his trainer had attacked a truck owned by a moving company. According to Hollywood law enforcement’s Christian Latta, Brown now faces burglary and battery charges, with documents from TMZ reporting that the wide receiver threw a rock at the vehicle and even became physically aggressive with the driver over a payment discussion. While all eyes are likely trained on the development of the case, this could throw a massive monkey wrench in his purportedly upcoming boxing match against YouTube star Logan Paul, after he challenged the internet celeb via Twitter. During an interview with TMZ Sports, Paul even claimed that their match was “closer than anyone expects.” ImPaulsive podcast host Mike Majlak echoed that sentiment by revealing their teams were “already talking” about scheduling the fight. However, it seems that this bout may be put on hold for the foreseeable future, with a newly-released 911 call placed during Brown’s altercation with the driver alleging he was under the influence of marijuana at the time of the scuffle. “The guy is high, he smoked, he threatened me,” the driver said in call records provided by TMZ. “He’s trying to fight, he throws stones at my truck… I’m trying to make delivery to the gentleman. I called him and told him he has to pay the balance. The guy refused to pay.” Brown’s boxing trainer, Glenn Holt, was also arrested on felony burglary, and was later released after posting bail for $20,000. This development follows Jake Paul’s own plans to box rapper Soulja Boy, who was similarly met with legal trouble amidst purportedly organizing a fight with the YouTuber. Thus far, Logan “The Maverick” Paul has yet to respond to Brown’s arrest warrant, with news of their proposed boxing match still up in the air for now.

‘Anti-glasses’ influencer slammed for saying bad eyesight caused by “spiritual” reasons – Dexerto
‘Anti-glasses’ influencer slammed for saying bad eyesight caused by “spiritual” reasons Instagram: samantha_lotusAn ‘anti-glasses’ influencer is coming under fire for claiming that people’s bad eyesight can be caused by “spiritual” reasons and saying glasses are a scam. What in the world did we ever do before glasses? Well, before the 13th century, people with poor eyesight simply had to squint before the first pairs of eyeglasses were eventually invented in Italy. Since then, nearsightedness has been on the rise as people work more closely in offices and on computers. Now, there’s more people with myopia (nearsightedness) than ever before… but one influencer doesn’t think glasses are the answer. Myopia is caused when the eye is too long or oval-shaped instead of being round, but influencer and ‘holistic master coach’ Samantha Lotus says that “spiritual reasons” could be behind bad eyesight. Influencer goes viral for controversial ‘anti-glasses grift’ Samantha Lotus is coming under fire on social media after a video of hers went viral, wherein she said people should ditch their glasses and try out her method of “healing” to cure their bad eyesight. “You may have been told that you need glasses, but that’s actually a lie,” she said. “There are mental, emotional, physical, and even spiritual reasons why you may not be seeing.” Instead of opting for a pair of prescription lenses, Samantha says people should try out her $11 Vision Healing Masterclass to see better — a class where she says participants can “decide today that you can see and that your body knows how to heal.” One Twitter/X user took Samantha’s master class, where the influencer claims that trauma and PTSD are to blame for bad eyesight, which people can simply “choose to let go.” Y’all. Anthony Taylor banned from Misfits boxing event after Dillon Danis scuffle – Dexerto
Anthony Taylor banned from Misfits boxing event after Dillon Danis scuffle YouTube: Fred Talks Fighting / Twitter: _HasimRahmanJrBoxer and mixed martial artist Anthony Taylor claims he’s been banned from the upcoming Misfits x DAZN boxing event after he scuffled with fellow fighter Dillon Danis. The next Misfits x DAZN boxing event is going down this weekend in Austin, Texas — but it looks like Anthony Taylor won’t be there to support. On November 18, weigh-ins were held for all competing fighters. During the proceedings, MMA fighter Dillon Danis approached YouTube star KSI, who was helping promote the event as the CEO of Misfits Boxing. The two have had beef for some time now, with rumors of a fight brewing between them, so it wasn’t totally unexpected (although it was still certainly shocking) when they got into a scrap during the live broadcast. After being separated, it seems as though Danis got into another scuffle with Anthony Taylor outside of the venue just moments later. Anthony Taylor claims he’s banned from Misfits x DAZN boxing event Now, Taylor is claiming that he’s been banned from the upcoming boxing event, as told in a Tweet published on the same day. “Just banned and can’t come to the event tomorrow,” he wrote. Thus far, KSI and DAZN have yet to comment on the subject, but fans are theorizing that Dillon’s scrap with KSI may have been staged to promote a future fight. This would be an interesting turn of events, as KSI’s name has been involved with three separate fighters, including Danis, as of late. Recently, Tyron Woodley slammed the YouTuber for allegedly backing out of a supposed fight contract and instead taking a “lesser opponent.” That “lesser opponent” might be Joe Fournier, if rumors are to be believed, after a purported fight poster for the bout was leaked from DAZN. It’s still unclear if this card is real or not. For now, it’s looking more likely than ever that KSI’s next opponent will be Danis — and with the YouTuber set to reveal his next fight on Saturday, fans are more excited than ever.

Anthony Reeves’ rumored girlfriend debunks fan theories after Avani Gregg breakup TikTok: abisalsberg / Instagram: tiktokroomtmThe woman seen with TikTok star Anthony Reeves after his breakup from ex-girlfriend Avani Gregg is clearing up dating rumors between them as fan theories run wild. Longtime partners and TikTok stars Anthony Reeves and Avani Gregg sparked breakup rumors in fall 2022 after they went a while without posting each other on social media. These rumors ramped up after Reeves avoided a question about Gregg during a live stream, notably saying: “It was fun talking to y’all,” he said in the broadcast. “If you all wanna go say what’s up to Avani, you can go to her comments and talk to her… ‘Cause this is Anthony’s live, you know.” The two officially parted ways in late November 2022, but that wasn’t the end of their story. Mere days later, video footage surfaced appearing to show Reeves kissing another woman, as well as a photo of himself with another girl, where he wrapped his arms around her waist. Fans assumed that Reeves had cheated on Avani due to the proximity of the photos to their breakup, but Anthony denied these rumors, saying “We broke up officially the 19th. Josh invited me out to Canada the 22nd. I didn’t cheat. I’m not a cheater.” That hasn’t stopped fans from thinking otherwise, though, with many flocking to the TikTok account of Abi Salsberg, convinced that she must be the woman in the photo. TikToker denies kissing Anthony Reeves amid Avani Gregg cheating rumors Although Salsberg admitted to being in the photo with Reeves, she denied ever having kissed the TikToker. “Yes, that’s me,” she said in a video. “I did not kiss him. I have a boyfriend. Thank you. I did not kiss him.” “It was a 1 second photo, so all these TikToks coming out are just crazy to me,” she added in a comment. Despite her claims, it doesn’t look like bystanders are impressed with her behavior, with many commenters taking issue with the TikToker for allowing Reeves to embrace her in their photo together. “So why he all up on you?” one user wrote in the comments on a popular TikTok tea page, TikTokRoom. “You don’t respect your relationship? Or he don’t respect your relationship?” “I mean, I wouldn’t be letting another dude hug me like that with a boyfriend,” another said. Thus far, Reeves has yet to speak out on the situation, with both he and Gregg unfollowing each other on social media — but luckily, Gregg has received support from other major TikTokers in the space amid the drama like Charli D’Amelio.

According to a statement from the company, released on Tuesday, November 6, the shutdown was due to unspecified ‘market conditions’ – which Padilla didn’t understand. Padilla also explained that he and comedy partner Ian Hecox had only received a ‘fraction’ of profit from SMOSH after selling the business to Defy Media, and felt that they had ultimately been taken advantage of. “I have no idea where all that money went that the company was making,” Padilla claimed. He likewise alleged that the company had attempted to take his personal Twitter account, prohibited him from joining the Screen Actors Guild despite acting in multiple movies with the org, and even took ownership of his public Facebook page. Hecox also came out with a statement on the issue, assuring fans that SMOSH is not canceled. Instead, Hecox is looking for a new home for the internet show, which he hopes to share with viewers ‘soon.’

Anthony Padilla claims leaving Smosh still pains him: “It was sad to let that go” – Dexerto
Anthony Padilla claims leaving Smosh still pains him: “It was sad to let that go” YouTube: Anthony PadillaAnthony Padilla was once the face of Smosh, YouTube’s first real breakout success. However the star split from the group he made in 2005 twelve years later, just a year before owners Defy Media went under. Nearly five years on, there’s still a hole there — especially given how it ended. Smosh was everywhere during YouTube’s early days. The duo of Anthony Padilla and Ian Hecox made one of the most successful brands in the platform’s history thanks to her unique sketches. However things weren’t sunshine and roses forever. After Ian and Anthony sold Smosh in 2011 to Defy Media, the brand Padilla made slowly stopped reflecting his goals. After six years he finally split, leaving with a sizable check but with his childhood website behind him. At the time, Padilla spoke about how things had changed since the iconic brand was taken over by Defy Media. He explained how his creative decisions were “being put through a filter” and were silenced by higher ups if they weren’t “appropriate for the Smosh brand” as they saw it. He later opened up after Defy Media closed down in 2018, speaking more publicly about his turmoil under that ownership. “They screwed over my friends, and I can’t keep faking that I’m cool with Defy Media like I’ve done for so long,” he said. Five years on, and Padilla still thinks about how it all went down: “They came to us and we’re like ‘we will take care of the website’ and no longer have that stress to deal with,” he told Trash Taste of the Defy deal. “They had this huge plan of all these things they were capable of and how they had the infrastructure to allow us to do all of our dreams. We had these huge lofty goals, and they said they had all of that on lock.” When Ian and Anthony sold Smosh to Defy Media they did it for no cash — only stock. Because the company never went public, they never saw any of that money. It was a silly decision in retrospect, Padilla admitted, but things started out okay. They had a salary, albeit not a huge one, and Defy promised the world in terms of growth. The cost was losing his creative freedom over the brand, and that ended up being a bigger cost than Padilla wanted to pay. “I did give that control away and everything was not how I would have done it, so I ended up working double time to teach them how to do the things but then they were rehiring,” he explained. “The way bigger companies work is you’re never building a 1-on-1 relationship with someone who ‘you teach them one and they keep going with that thing’. You’re reteaching and reteaching until ‘let’s abandon the website’ and then it was us abandoning a lot of the things I had a dream of growing because I was not able to keep that up and do the videos.” The steps to Anthony leaving were gradual “over a long period of time”. Certain factors did exacerbate the problems though. One was over the Smosh Food Battle game, which was “so forced and rushed” by management in order to capitalize on the trends of 2013. “They had just seen the success of other people who had done fundraisers for games through Indiegogo, and they raised $250,000 for these games which were mobile games that you could also play on the computer and it was a really cool thing with all these inside jokes from the community. They said ‘that’s cool you do that’ and we said ‘we don’t have a concept for our game’ and they said ‘we will figure it out later, just raise some money’. “We said we needed to have something to pitch to people, and they said just come up with the idea then. I came up with the idea, Ian also, and they were like ‘cool you’ve got the idea let’s do it’ and we were like ‘we need to have concept art, we need to show a build of the game, we need to be able to show what we want to do with this thing!’. “All we were able to launch with was this concept art, and launching this campaign, incentivizing your fans to give you money — it did not feel right to me but I felt backed up into a corner and that’s one of the things I regret from my time there. “There was some shady stuff about the way they contributed to certain donations to inflate the way certain things looked. That’s all I’ll say about that but it made me feel so weird about it. I was like ‘I need [to get] out as soon as possible’.” The related segment begins at 1:00:24. That feeling of being “backed up into a corner” never left Padilla and after the company slowly tried to take over his social media — successfully getting his Facebook page but nothing else — he needed to leave. It did allow him to go back to his roots as just an independent content creator, making videos for fun like he did from his Sacramento home in the early days. “I realized the way they treated that was the same way they were treating me and all the other people,” Padilla said. I didn’t foresee anything but I ended up getting out a year before they ended up closing down. “It really got me thinking, could I do something on my own outside of this brand I had created? I had made that brand when I was 14 years old as a little shitty website, as a forum for my group of friends at school to go on and hang out. We were either talking on AIM or going on this website. Despite how it ended though, there was one overwhelming feeling. “It was sad to let that part of me go.”

Anthony Padilla and Ian Hecox bring back “classic” Smosh after six-year split – Dexerto
Anthony Padilla and Ian Hecox bring back “classic” Smosh after six-year split YouTube: SmoshYouTube stars Anthony Padilla and Ian Hecox are finally bringing back “classic” Smosh after Padilla parted ways with the project back in 2017. Those who have been browsing YouTube for the past decade are likely very familiar with Smosh, a YouTube channel originally helmed by creators Anthony Padilla and Ian Hecox. Smosh’s content was largely focused on comedy sketches and improv, and was initially started as its own website in 2002 before Anthony and Ian began the YouTube channel in 2005. The pair enjoyed a successful run with Smosh until summer 2017, when Anthony announced he was leaving the project due to creative differences after it was acquired by its parent company, Defy Media. Just a year later, Defy Media suddenly shut down, leaving the future of Smosh in jeopardy. However, Ian and co. claimed they would continue to make content despite Defy’s unexpected closure. Smosh was then acquired by Rhett and Link’s Mythical Entertainment, where it stayed… until now. Anthony Padilla & Ian Hecox purchase Smosh from Rhett & Link On Jun 20, 2023, Padilla and Hecox announced that they had purchased Smosh from Mythical Entertainment and are bringing the channel back to its former glory. The two paired up for a YouTube video explaining their business decision, saying that they’d been spending a lot of time together lately and wanted to bring the “magic” of old Smosh back to the internet. “Ian and I started hanging out a ton, and we realized the sketches that we’d made weren’t just great because they were a product of the times,” Anthony explained. “I wasn’t just being blinded by nostalgia when I would go back to get a laugh at the old videos. They were a reflection of the magic that we felt when we were making something together.” “So, we came up with the totally insane idea of, ‘What if we bought Smosh?’” Ian continued. “We didn’t know if this was actually possible, but we felt that we had to look into it and see if we could actually do it.” The duo went on to claim that fans can expect good, old-fashioned sketch comedy written by and starring both Anthony and Ian, with Padilla notably saying: “Classic Smosh is back.” As for Smosh’s other channels, they will “stay the same,” although it’s unclear if this will affect Anthony’s “I Spent a Day With” interview series or Ian’s personal content at the time of writing. Rhett & Link speak out after selling Smosh back to Anthony & Ian Rhett and Link of Good Mythical Morning fame have published a statement following Anthony and Ian’s acquisition of Smosh, congratulating the YouTube duo on this new chapter in their careers and expressing hope for the future of the channel. “We are extremely proud of everything we and Ian accomplished during our time working together, and will continue to be fans and friends to Smosh as they enter this new era!” they wrote. “We couldn’t think of a more perfect outcome on our investment than selling Smosh back to the internet’s other iconic best-friend duo. It’s another pioneering first in the creator economy and a validation of our belief that creator-entrepreneurs will play a huge role in the future of entertainment.” Anthony and Ian asked fans to support a “free and independent” Smosh by joining their YouTube channel as members. Thus far, viewers seem overjoyed by this latest news as a well-loved era of entertainment returns to YouTube after six long years.

Anthony Joshua reveals surprise opinion on KSI vs Logan Paul rematch – Dexerto
Anthony Joshua reveals surprise opinion on KSI vs Logan Paul rematch L: @loganpaul (Instagram)/R: DAZN (YouTube)During Anthony Joshua’s press tour for his highly anticipated rematch versus Andy Ruiz Jr., the former heavyweight champion has given his verdict on KSI vs. Logan Paul 2. With the stage set and dates unveiled, the rematch between KSI and Logan Paul is heating up. As both YouTubers have taken to their respective channels to discuss the upcoming fight, the battle of wits has well and truly commenced. With the head guards whipped off, it isn’t just the YouTube pair that are weighing in with their opinions. As more attention is drawn to the professional bout, the sport’s biggest names are stepping forward into the spotlight — including former unified champion of the world, Anthony Joshua. 600Regardless of the controversy surrounding the lack of YouTubers on the undercard of the rematch, the event is set to surpass previous pay-per-view records, as Eddie Hearn and co. have landed an exclusive multi-million dollar broadcasting deal with global sports streaming service, DAZN. In light of this, Joshua (who is promoted by Hearn’s brand, Matchroom Boxing) has come forward with a positive outlook, stating that he thinks the spectacle is “sick” for boxing. “So KSI and Logan Paul have a bigger following than me and most of the heavyweights combined”, Joshua admitted. Joshua told The Independent: “People look at them as a joke now, and they doubt them, but if they take it seriously and they put on a good performance, people might scratch their head and say, ”Hang on a minute, this wasn’t such a bad idea.’” As more big names from the sport share their thoughts on the event, and with high-profile professional boxers set to compete on the undercard, it’s quite plausible that the event will drum up interest from outside of the YouTube community. Given the increased interest and exposure, this could be the start of things to come, with the potential for more events of this nature to be on the cards moving forward.

Anthony Joshua reveals benefits of influencer boxing on First we Feast – Dexerto
Anthony Joshua reveals benefits of influencer boxing on First we Feast Screenshot via Hot OnesTwo-time unified heavyweight boxing champion Anthony Joshua has explained why influencers stepping into the ring has its pros and cons – and why not everyone should be negative about it. Since content creators lined up to fight on the KSI vs Joe Weller card back in early 2018, influencers throwing on some boxing gloves and settling their differences on a pay-per-view has become the norm. KSI’s beef with the Paul brothers, specifically Logan, has taken the game to a whole new level as fans packed into the Staples Center to watch them box. While many boxing purists aren’t too keen on the idea of influencers fighting, and regularly cast it aside as a “freak show,” heavyweight champion ‘AJ’ Anthony Joshua isn’t completely negative on it. “What excites me the most is the fact that it’s bringing a whole new audience to the fight game. I think that’s important,” Joshua explained to Hot Ones’ Sean Evans during the September 17 episode of Truth or Dab. “So, I’m happy that they’re doing it.” Though, it wasn’t all positive. The WBO heavyweight champion continued: “And the thing that annoys me the most is there’s so much talent from the grassroots level that are trying to get their name recognized by the bigger audience and they’re struggling. “So it’s a world of whos popular and who can just do it, versus whos talented and whos trying to get their name recognized but isn’t getting a look in. So, it’s a catch 22, but the benefit is more eyes on the sport will give the grassroots talent more opportunity to expose themselves to a new audience.” Timestamp of 1:05 In terms of influencers stepping into the ring next, all eyes are once again on the paul brothers. Jake Paul is set to clash with former NBA first-round pick Nate Robinson. There have also been claims circulating that his older brother, Logan, is set to face off against undefeated boxing legend Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather in an exhibition bout. Whether or not the unlikely pair will come to blows at any point still remains to be seen, but as AJ says, it would certainly put eyes on the sweet science.

Anthony Joshua defends Dillon Danis amid Logan Paul & Nina Adgal feud – Dexerto
Anthony Joshua defends Dillon Danis amid Logan Paul & Nina Adgal feud DAZNTwo-time former unified boxing world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua reacted to Logan Paul and Dillon Danis’ feud, where the British boxer said “there are no rules.” There’s not long to go until we’ll be seeing Logan Paul and Dillon Danis settle their beef in the ring, on arguably the biggest influencer boxing event we’ve seen to date, as KSI touches gloves with Tommy Fury on the same night. The ‘Prime Card’ is expected to be action-packed, featuring some of the biggest names in the scene all on one card. However, in the build-up to fight night, the spotlight has been largely on Logan Paul and former UFC fighter Dillon Danis. Since it was announced Danis would be stepping in the ring with ‘the Maverick,’ the MMA fighter has repeatedly taken aim at his opponent’s newly-engaged fiancé Nina Adgal — continuously posting photos and videos of her with other men. Resulting in a “massive” lawsuit against Danis filed by Nina, also hitting him with a restraining order, boxing star Anthony Joshua was asked for his thoughts on whether or not it’s gone too far. Anthony Joshua reacts to Logan Paul vs Dillon Danis feud In an interview with DAZN leading up to the Prime Card, the British boxer gave his opinion after its became a lot more personal between Logan and Dillon with their family being insulted on social media. “You know what, I’ll be real. In this game of boxing, there are no rules,” Joshua said. “The internet is undefeated.” He added: “All your information is out there at the end of the day. What you put out there, you know, it will always come back around full circle. Unfortunately, they’re using this as a war tactic, and you’re at war. There are no low blows. Anything is acceptable in the art of war.” Logan Paul and Dillon Danis are set to go blow for blow at the AO Arena in Manchester, UK on October 14. Although more than just pride is on the line for the YouTube star, agreeing to let Danis be his best man at his wedding if the former UFC fighter wins the bout.

Anthony Joshua explains why he’s a “massive fan” of KSI – Dexerto
Anthony Joshua explains why he’s a “massive fan” of KSI YouTube: DAZN Boxing, JJ OlatunjiHeavyweight boxing star Anthony Joshua has explained why he’s such a big fan of UK YouTuber KSI, commending the creator for his efforts in so many different avenues. Anthony Joshua became one of the biggest stars in boxing in recent years, a two-time former unified world heavyweight champion, losing his accolades to Andy Ruiz Jr II before earning them back from him, then losing them once again to Ukrainian star Oleksander Usyk. He’s been heralded as one of the top fighters to emerge from the UK in some time, despite struggling for any real dominance as champion, and a boxing match between himself and Tyson Fury is something fans have wanted to see for a long time now. On the other end of the spectrum, KSI was a YouTuber who seemed to fall into the sport of boxing, taking on the likes of Joe Weller and Logan Paul in influencer matches before slowing down and taking the music world by storm instead. Despite this step away from the ring, and perhaps even in support of it, Joshua has expressed his support for KSI, explaining why people need to let the star “flourish.” He said: “I’m a massive fan of his. Well done to everything he’s doing and he’s working hard. I know we look at the final product like when he goes to his fight, or his music, or entertainment, but there’s a lot of planning and execution and time and energy that goes into what he’s doing, so credit to him, because I like the hustle. “I’m not saying he’s the next Floyd Mayweather, that’s hard to become for any of us, but let’s give the man a chance to be great. Whether it’s music, boxing, acting, football, he’s doing it all and trying to find his greatness. So I’m supporting him on his quest.” Joshua went on to add that he’s a big fan of how KSI markets himself, saying it’s something other fighters who don’t get the same big boxing paydays could learn from, rather than be angry about. KSI revealed in September that his next fight will be in the United States, though his opponent has not yet been announced. He is clearly working towards a fight against Jake Paul, claiming that a plan is in place for a 2023 date, but his only confirmation in the meantime is that he won’t be facing off against Andrew Tate or Tommy Fury.

Anthony Fantano roasts “I’m An Island Boy” as one of 2021’s worst songs – Dexerto
Anthony Fantano roasts “I’m An Island Boy” as one of 2021’s worst songs YouTube: The Needle Drop / Big Bag EntThe internet’s biggest music nerd The Needle Drop named the Island Boys as having one of the worst songs of 2021. YouTube critic Anthony Fantano roasted Flyysoulja’s single ‘I’m An Island Boy’ as “sounding like s**t.” With the rise of TikTok’s explosion in popularity in 2020, the site has become a cultural hotbed for some of the year’s biggest trends and viral moments. One of the breakout stars to invade the platform are musical twins Flyysoulja and Kodiyakredd, better known as the Island Boys. One person not a big fan of the duo, however, is YouTube’s biggest music critic The Needle Drop. In his “Worst Songs of 2021” video, Fantano called out the brothers’ single ‘I’m An Island Boy’ for its production and called it “unlistenable.” The Island Boys roasted by The Needle Drop The TikTok duo’s single was named the fourth worst song to come out in 2021 in The Needle Drop’s annual year in review list. According to the popular music critic, The Island Boys’ first properly recorded commercial song was a major misstep. Read More: xQc baffled by Bella Poarch’s TikTok success – “The mastering, the distortion, and the compression on this track is S**T! It sounds like white noise. It’s totally awful and unlistenable. Whoever produced this track and finalized it REALLY f**ked the f**k up. They must have gotten paid nothing,” the YouTuber said before breaking into laughter. Fantano then criticized the track further and added, “It just sounds like s**t. It has that I’M AN ISLAND BOYUH! that we’ve heard in so many viral videos and remixes of them. This makes up the melody and the lyrics of the song. But hearing it with a beat doesn’t make it any easier to listen to or stomach.” (Topic is at 11:26) The Needle Drop also roasted the TikTok duo as a “really bad cringey meme” but said that he believed the brothers were self-aware enough of their cringe and are just trying to take advantage of their popularity while they can. The musical critic concluded his rant by exclaiming, “I highly doubt they will be able to offload their gimmick to any other venture in the future. But hey, they’re gonna try!” Fantano then sarcastically said he was looking forward to their DJ Khaled-produced album in 2022. Just four days earlier, the twins got into a heated argument while guests on the Impaulsive podcast. The TikTok stars stormed off the set and exited their conversation with Logan Paul. With YouTube’s biggest music critic now hating their single, the Island Boys have had a rough week, to say the least.

Anthony Fantano reviews Dream’s new ‘Mask’ song: “It’s like reading a junior high-schooler’s diary” – Dexerto
Anthony Fantano reviews Dream’s new ‘Mask’ song: “It’s like reading a junior high-schooler’s diary” YouTube: Fantano / DreamPopular YouTube music critic Anthon Fantano explained why Dream’s new music single ‘Mask’ is “basic.” The reviewer revealed why he isn’t the biggest fan of the Minecraft star’s musical performance. Originally launching his NeedleDrop moniker in 2007, Anthony Fantano has become one of the most prominent voices in the music industry over the last decade. The popular critic tackles the latest releases with his wildly popular YouTube reviews. During his June 1 upload, the self-proclaimed “biggest music nerd on the internet” gave his take on Dream’s song, ‘Mask’. The 33-year-old broke down the single and explained why it doesn’t entirely hold up despite its emotional themes. Anthony Fantano reviews Dream’s ‘Mask’ After listening to the single for the first time, Fantano was taken back by the song’s tone. “Well, jeez. That was more melodramatic than I anticipated it would be,” he said, before adding, “Look, instrumentally and aesthetically on this one, we kind of go further down that emo rabbit-hole. There is even a burst of a strong rock edge to it.” The YouTube critic then told viewers that while his vocals on the song were “expressive”, they were also heavily edited. “It sounds like they really touched them up heavily to make sure they’re on pitch. So while the vocals are expressive, I don’t know how much I can really praise the performance here overall.” TheNeedleDrop creator described the composition of the song as being basic. “The theme of the song, it’s about why he wears the mask. I find the lyrics of this track to be a bit basic, almost like you a reading a junior high-schooler’s diary. The word choice is very plain.” He then addressed the song’s serious themes: “But the song is about why he wears the mask. There are weird strange people judging him when he’s sad. Nobody has to see that he’s sad. And he always looks like he has a smile on his face. Which in one breath warrants a heavy series of eye-rolls. It reads like something someone would say when they identify a bit too much with a comic book villain.” Fantano followed up his criticisms by saying that he was also worried about Dream. “But simultaneously I do worry, and I think ‘Oh wow, that’s actually quite sad that you feel that way, and that you feel trapped by your persona. By your popularity.’ So while the feelings on this track are expressed in a very basic way, if there is any truth behind them though, it makes me worry about Dream’s mental health and wellbeing.” Although the YouTuber wasn’t the biggest fan of the 21-year-old’s new single, he also stated that he hoped the song would help him. “Hopefully this song, whether it’s well-received or not, is a positive outlet for him to kind of make this statement.” The music critic ended his review by explaining to his viewers that celebrities who hide their identity can also have their own set of struggles.

Anthony Fantano responds to criticism about how he rates black artists’ music – Dexerto
Anthony Fantano responds to criticism about how he rates black artists’ music TheNeedleDropYouTube’s biggest music critic Anthony Fantano responded to criticism stemming from his recent review of Isaiah Rashad’s newest album The House is Burning, opening up a conversation about how he reviews black artists’ music. Anthony Fantano has made a name for himself as the internet’s biggest music nerd. His YouTube channel, The Needledrio, has amassed over 2.4 million subscribers, as he publishes multiple video essays a week reviewing various albums and EPs. He’s also dabbled a bit in the gaming world as he is a huge fan of Super Smash Bros, having played the game with some of the game’s biggest content creators. However, his newest review has landed him in a little bit of drama. Fantano Rashad feud On August 4, Fantano put out a review for Isaiah Rashad’s newest album, The House is Burning. Fantano gave it a 5/10, and said: “The House is Burning, for the most part, is about as engaging as a lackadaisical buzz.” Rashad took issue with Fantano’s score on Twitter, leading to drama over the review. Rashad tweeted at the YouTuber with a response to receiving such a low score, saying: “It’s not experimental enough to excite him, basic enough to make him laugh, and too black for him to identify. My public persona isn’t something to deconstruct so he doesn’t have much to review. I’m guessing it’s just for views if anything.” Rashad wasn’t happy with the review score and critiqued Fantano’s tastes in the process, and accused him of giving it a low score for views. The YouTuber didn’t hang around though, and quickly responded to Rashad’s comments with a tweet thread of his own. “You guys can lash out, psychoanalyze, or whatever out of disagreement with me – comes with the territory. But know I’m not genuinely out to make anyone feel bad about something they’ve made or enjoyed. And I really don’t think I’m worth all the controversy, but have it your way,” he said. “I’m not upset about anything. Just responding to a thing somebody said and clarifying.” After the tweets were exchanged, Top Dawg Entertainment’s president Terrence ‘Punch’ Louis Henderson Jr. tweeted at Fantano, asking him: “How do you prepare to listen to, and critique black music? What’s your routine? Just curious because the black experience through music is pretty nuanced. Just wondering how you go about it.” How do you prepare to listen to, and critique black music? What’s your routine? Just curious because the black experience through music is pretty nuanced. Just wondering how you go about it. https://t.co/QaOGN9Perk — Punch TDE (@iamstillpunch) August 6, 2021 Fantano responded with an invitation to chat about the topic over a Zoom call, but Punch declined and suggested in the future they could sit down for an in-person chat about the subject. Who knows if we will ever get that conversation, but surely fans would love to see it go down.

Anthony Fantano responds to AI Drake & The Weeknd song going crazy viral YouTube: FantanoPopular YouTuber and music critic Anthony Fantano has given his thoughts about the AI-generated Drake & The Weeknd track that’s gone crazy viral. Over the last few months, an increasing number of AI-generated content has gained popularity with users across the internet. This includes videos or songs made with deepfake voices of public figures, like the recent AI-Generated collab between Drake and The Weeknd that’s gone so viral even Dr Disrespect has mentioned it. Popular music critic & YouTuber Anthony Fantano has given his thoughts about the recent Drake & The Weeknd collab, and he’s not quite sure about it. Anthony Fantano responds to AI Drake & The Weeknd track In a video uploaded on April 18, Fantano stitched the AI track’s creator with his thoughts surrounding the surge of deepfake songs and their ability to go crazy viral. “This is not good. This is not good. I don’t know who this is not going to be good for entirely right this moment but I don’t think it’s going to be very good,” he said. “There’s a lot of people talking about ‘oh yeah, this is gonna like turn the industry upside down… the labels are in trouble now. “For sure it’s got them sweating a little bit, if it didn’t then I don’t think they’d be going through the lengths that they are to have this song taken down. But, once they figure out the recipe with this thing… it’s going to be a payday for them.” At the time of writing, the song ‘Heart On My Sleeve’ has been removed from all streaming services. “There’s going to be so many new Juice Wrld songs, you’re not even going to know where they’re coming from,” he added. Anthony Fantano hits back after Drake sends him “salty” DM over music review – Dexerto
Anthony Fantano hits back after Drake sends him “salty” DM over music review YouTube: Fantano / WikimediaYouTube’s most popular music critic, Anthony Fantano aka The Needle Drop, has somehow become embroiled in a feud with Canadian superstar Drake, after the latter sent him a surprise DM on Instagram. Never one to hide his true feelings about an album, Fantano is revered for his reviews across all genres of music, and has been fairly critical of Drake’s last few efforts. Although artists have reached out about his reviews in the past, he never expected Drake himself to respond. On September 16, Fantano uploaded a video titled “Drake Slid Into My DMs”, where he revealed a chain of messages – about a vegan cookie recipe. Of course, this was an obvious joke, but quickly Drake shared the actual messages he sent, and they were a bit more combative than a recipe. Drake takes shots at Anthony Fantano over review score In three short messages, Drake said “Your existence is a light 1” (mimicking a low score Fantano might give an album), “and the 1 is cause you are alive. “And cause you somehow wifed a black girl. I’m feeling a light to decent 1 on your existence.” It’s not exactly clear what prompted this DM in the first place – Fantanto’s last Drake review was months ago, when he gave ‘Honestly, Nevermind’ a “not good” score out of 10. Fantano, after realizing that Drake had in fact shared the real DMs (not the cookie recipe) on his IG story, quickly fired back. “That b*tch shared the salty ass DM to over 100 million people,” he said, accompanied by a massive ‘W’. He also joked that his rating system lives “rent free” in Drake’s mind. After some more victory posts, claiming the W in this most unexpected of beefs, including posting a Pusha T review right before a Drake review (the two rappers have a longstanding rivalry), Fantano said he was only “being silly.” “I’ll be the first to say Drake’s got bangers.” Now, we must await a potential response from Drake – although given he usually stays pretty quiet on social media, Fantano may want to listen out for his next song, as he may just drop in a subliminal diss or two.

Anthony Fantano breaks down in tears reviewing Mac Miller’s “Good News” – Dexerto
Anthony Fantano breaks down in tears reviewing Mac Miller’s “Good News” “Internet’s busiest music nerd” Anthony Fantano was unable to hold back emotion while reviewing the track “Good News” from the upcoming Circles album from late rapper Mac Miller, the artist’s first posthumous album release. In the modern age, no music artist is ever truly gone. Their legacy is often defined by their body of work, and for many, more work is released to the public even after they’ve passed on. Another of these posthumous works is being released on January 17th, in the sixth studio album from artist Mac Miller, who tragically passed away in 2018. The new album is titled Circles, with the first single titled “Good News” released on January 9. Anthony Fantano is a popular music reviewer who runs one of the most prominent music review YouTube channels in The Needle Drop, and also posts daily videos on his own personal channel Fantano. On that channel, he does a show called Track Review, where he gives his first/second impression of new singles as they are released. On his January 11th video, he reviewed the newest Mac track. After fast-forwarding through footage of his face listening to the song, viewers saw Anthony in tears, a rare moment of him struggling to maintain composure. “S**t, oh my God, the f**k am I even supposed to say about this?” Fantano asks aloud while trying to pull himself together. This reaction was a stark contrast to Fantano’s review of Mac’s last album, Swimming, which he gave a 3 out of 10, earning him 28k dislikes on the video compared to less than 8k likes. After collecting himself, he goes on to praise the instrumentals of the song, calling it “breezy, gentle, and sweet” before highlighting individual aspects of the instrumentals that he thought were perfect for “the very intimate and close right-in-your-ear sound of Mac’s voice.” Fantano then dove into the “surreal, difficult to listen to” themes of Mac’s lyrics on the track, saying that the discussions about isolation, depression, and how “good news is the only news people want to hear” were very difficult to listen to. Fantano commented on the emotional weight of the song, saying “I like it, I think it’s really good, but it’s also a god damn wrecking ball…it really throws all of it on your f*****g lap.” Mac Miller, born James Allen McCormick, was a hugely popular rap artist throughout the 2010s. He was found dead in September 2018 from an accidental drug overdose. He was 26. Circles is his first posthumous full album released since his death.

Another YouTube channel is chasing PewDiePie’s most subscribers crown – Dexerto
Another YouTube channel is chasing PewDiePie’s most subscribers crown Dude PerfectFelix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg is currently embroiled in a close rivalry with T-Series for the coveted top spot on the “most subscribed YouTube channel” list, but a new challenger has appeared and is vying for the crown. In a video uploaded to YouTube on Monday, January 21, trickshot experts Dude Perfect announced that they were heading on a 20 city tour that will see the crew put on 90 minute long shows featuring all the classic tricks that fans of the channel have become accustomed to. However, during the video the team made up of Cody Jones, Garrett Hilbert, Tyler Toney and twins Coby and Cory Cotton revealed that they had set their sights on a target, specifically, catching PewDiePie. This will be a difficult task for Dude Perfect, who sit on 38.5 million subscribers, over 40 million behind their Swedish counterpart. Dude Perfect claim that they have no interest in overhauling Kjellberg permanently, but rather want to tie with PewDiePie “for like one second, then he can go back to beating us by 30 million again,” according to Garrett Hilbert. The trickshot crew have encouraged fans to use “TieThePie” on social media as they attempt to convince people to subscribe to their channel, and have even offered a reward to viewers if they manage to draw level with Kjellberg, stating that they will reveal the identity of the person who has been wearing a panda mascot costume in their videos for years. PewDiePie remains at the top of YouTube for now, and even received the backing of an unlikely new ally in his race to remain on top. While Dude Perfect are well behind Kjellberg in terms of subscribers at the moment, Indian entertainment company T-Series are right on their tail and closing the distance rapidly.
