Ninja isn’t leaving Twitch yet – he’s streaming everywhere Ninja, InstagramIconic content creator Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins has announced that he’s not going to be leaving Twitch after all – instead, he is going to stream everywhere. After years of building his community on Twitch, Ninja announced in August 2019 that he was moving to the now-defunct streaming platform, Mixer. In August 2020, Ninja returned to Twitch with a surprise Fortnite stream, revealing that he was back on the platform. This September, the streaming superstar had hinted that he may join the bandwagon of creators leaving Twitch for YouTube Gaming. Ninja reveals a big update on his future The streamer “disappearing” from social media poured some fuel on the fire, too, but it appears those rumors have not held water. On September 8, Ninja announced that he doesn’t have an exclusive streaming contract and will instead stream his content everywhere. That includes Twitch, YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook. This announcement comes after Ninja removed his profile picture from his Twitter page just minutes after tweeting out: “I just need a break…I don’t know when I will be back, or where,” prompting fans to begin wondering what was going on with the iconic streamer. It wasn’t long before he was reminded about the stream sniping possibilities, either. Fellow streamer SypherPK said: “Bro is about to get stream sniped on every platform.” He replied: “Please no.” When is Ninja streaming next & on what platforms? Blevins will be spreading his live content over to his multiple channels, moving forward. These include: Twitch – YouTube – TikTok – Ninja’s first stream – since the change – will go live at 12 CST, on September 9.

Ninja hits out at viewers who unsubscribe due to him “making too much money” – Dexerto
Ninja hits out at viewers who unsubscribe due to him “making too much money” ESPNDuring a recent stream, Fortnite streamer Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins, responded to a fan who said they thought the streamer didn’t need anymore money. Ninja has become one of, if not the most popular Twitch streamer on Earth in 2018, and he often attracts over 100,000 viewers to his regular Fortnite streams. Recently, Ninja unveiled a new, state-of-the-art streaming room, which could contribute to some fans feeling like he might be plenty well off. Ninja told viewers that’s not how he sees things though. “I’ve had people unsubscribe from my stream because ‘I make too much’, ok, it’s not about enjoying content or being part of a community that I’ve been building for the last eight years,” the streamer told chat. “One of the most things I see is ‘Ninja doesn’t need anymore money,’” he continued. “I don’t know what people think I’m spending it on, like I’m trying to set my family up for life man.” Ninja was responding to a user in Twitch chat who said: “I mean…when you have an office and house and wife like yours…you don’t really need any more money.” To which Ninja replied, “That’s just so not true man.” He goes on to wonder where the idea has come from that people can’t subscribe to him since he has a lot of subs already, saying “are people going to just stop buying [Drake’s] albums or listening to his music because he makes too much?” Read More: Fortnite: New leaks suggest that the castle at Polar Peaks could see major changes in Season 7 – Ninja is undoubtedly one of the highest paid Twitch streamers ever, so a few fans upset about his income most likely won’t hurt his bottom line.

Ninja “insanely honored” to be one of TIME’s 100 most influential people – Dexerto
Ninja “insanely honored” to be one of TIME’s 100 most influential people The Game Awards, YouTubeIt’s no secret that Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins is one of Twitch’s most popular Fortnite streamers – but Ninja’s real-world fame extends far beyond fans’ computer screens. In fact, Ninja has grown so popular that he was named one of TIME Magazine’s 100 most influential people, which he spoke out on in a Tweet on April 17. “Insanely honored and speechless to be on the TIME magazine top 100 most influential people in the world,” Ninja wrote of the honor. “Love to @TeamJuJu.” Insanely honored and speechless to be on the @TIME magazine top 100 most influential people in the world. https://t.co/TkBCye8BJ9 love to @TeamJuJu — Ninja (@Ninja) April 17, 2019 JuJu Smith-Schuster’s nomination Ninja was nominated for the position by Pittsburgh Steelers’ wide receiver, JuJu Smith-Schuster, who claimed that he was “at a complete loss for words” after seeing rappers Drake and Travis Scott play Fortnite with the streamer in March of 2018. “Ninja was huge in building up the credibility of esports,” JuJu wrote. “At the end of the day, Ninja is an absolute legend, and someone to whom we owe a lot for making gaming what it is today.” 600http://time.com/collection/100-most-influential-people-2019/5567713/ninja/Ninja was listed in TIME’s ‘Pioneers’ category, and rightly so; Ninja’s Fortnite fame has driven a massive pop-culture interest into the game, and has opened up an important conversation as to the legitimacy of esports in the modern world. Ninja’s previous awards and recognitions This wouldn’t be Ninja’s first major recognition, either – the streamer was also named Content Creator of the Year at the 2018 Game Awards, which was fittingly announced by God of War voice actors Christopher Judge and Sunny Suljic. Ninja likewise held a major New Year’s Eve event in Times Square to kick off 2019, further cementing his status as a major icon – although his attempt to get all attendants to do the ‘Floss’ at once flopped in an epic way. While Ninja has always been a popular face in the gaming community, the streamer skyrocketed to fame after playing Fortnite with Canadian rapper Drake in March of 2018, kicking off a domino effect that saw him appear at major events like the E3 Fortnite Celebrity Pro Am (which he won alongside EDM artist Marshmello). With Ninja being given this latest honor, there’s no telling where he – or other popular streamers – will end up next.

Ninja hits back at Tfue for “roasting” the current state of Fortnite – Dexerto
Ninja hits back at Tfue for “roasting” the current state of Fortnite Mixer – Ninja / Twitch – TfueFortnite sensation Tyler ‘Ninja’ Belvins has fired shots at fellow streamer Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney, after the Twitch superstar expressed his disappointment in the direction Epic Games are taking their massively popular battle royale title. Tfue is no stranger to speaking his mind, especially when it comes to Fortnite, but this time he may have stepped a little over the line according to other streamers. His recent jab led to a number of responses, including a particularly barbed comment from Mixer star Ninja. In a tweet on October 3, Tfue expressed his disappointment with the current state of the game, and stated “Fortnite kind f*cking sucks now, tf happened?” His stance on the title wasn’t met with resounding agreement, however, and Ninja fired back that he had been enjoying Epic’s latest changes. “I actually have been enjoying the game recently after the Gotham City update,” Ninja responded, before suggesting that Tenney might be better suited playing other games if he had lost his love for Fortnite. “If you don’t enjoy the game, stop playing and roasting it all the time.” I actually have been enjoying the game recently after the Gotham City update. If you don’t enjoy the game, stop playing and roasting it all the time. — Ninja (@Ninja) October 4, 2019 Other Fortnite personalities quickly jumped to Tfue’s defence however. Pro player Abdullah ‘parpy’ Khudeish replied to Ninja saying that he forgot to “type #Ad at the end,” suggesting the Mixer streamer was only praising the game because he was making money off it. Ninja was having none of it though, and fired back at the New Zealand star: “Coming from the dude tweeting about how sh*t the game is yet plays it and uploads Fortnite videos everyday? What’s more of an #ad? Sh*tty insult.” Ghost Gaming star Issa ‘Issa’ Rahim also sided with Tfue and Parpy, accusing Ninja of being hypocritical considering he has often commented on the state of the game as well, and not always in the best of light. He added screenshots of Ninja’s past comments to back up his point. “Two of those are jokes, and the other constructive criticism,”Ninja replied. “Issa, c’mon man lol, you’re stretching and it’s embarassing.” Two of those are jokes, and the other constructive criticism. Not blatant negativity. Issa cmon man lol your stretching and it’s embarrassing — Ninja (@Ninja) October 4, 2019 Tfue certainly isn’t the first pro player or streamer to express their agitation with Fortnite and the direction of the game, and he may not be the last. Recent dramas over cross-platform skill-based matchmaking and the removal of turbo-building show that as long as the battle royale title holds its place among the most popular games in the world, there will also be those that voice their complaints.

Ninja hits huge YouTube milestone amid interest from streaming giants – Dexerto
Ninja hits huge YouTube milestone amid interest from streaming giants YouTube / Instagram: ninja[jwplayer qtClEeZt]Popular streamer Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins has hit a huge YouTube milestone as anticipation builds over where he will be streaming from in the future, following the collapse of Mixer. Ninja joined Mixer in 2019 in a multi-million dollar deal and earned a reported $30 million from it shutting down and, since then, speculation has been rife over where he’ll settle next. On July 24, though, Ninja announced a big result on his YouTube channel that might convince him to sign long-term with the video-publishing platform. As he reached a total 24 million subscribers, the streaming star tweeted that he “never could have dreamed of all this support” as he becomes one of the most followed gaming channels on all of YouTube, which is certainly no easy feat. We just hit 24 million subs on @YouTube Never in my life could I have dreamed of this support you all give me. Thank you 🙏🏼 #TimeIn #TeamNinja — Ninja (@Ninja) July 24, 2020 This must make striking a permanent deal with YouTube more enticing, considering he has such a large audience there, and there were rumors that he had signed with them after he streamed on the platform though, with no streams since, that appears not to be the case. According to SocialBook, 24m subscribers makes Ninja the 11th most-followed gaming channel on YouTube, behind the likes of YouTube King PewDiePie, El Rubius and Markiplier. Naturally, many of Blevins’ peers showed signs of support after he announced the achievement, with the likes of Tim ‘TimTheTatman’ Betar and Ben ‘DrLupo’ Lupo saying “W” or “YUR NUTZ,” as well as Jack ‘CouRage’ Dunlop simply calling him the “GOAT.” There are no signs yet as to who Ninja will eventually sign his long-term streaming exclusivity deal with — or if he even will at all — but we’re sure both YouTube and Twitch are fighting hard, among others, to get his name on the dotted line. The mystery remains where he will end up, but it’s well worth extending a congratulations to Ninja, who has continuously broken barriers for streamers and the gaming world — and now he’s breaking them for himself too.

Ninja hits back at Tfue after fight challenge and bold accusations – Dexerto
Ninja hits back at Tfue after fight challenge and bold accusations Mixer: Ninja / YouTube: TfueTyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins has fired back at Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney after the Fortnite star made some pretty bold accusations during a February 23 YouTube video – including claims that he’d “tried to ruin” his career. The situation started on February 22 after a hacker infiltrated their way into Ninja’s Twitter account and propositioned the Fortnite star to a fight. “Fight me Tfue,” one tweet read. Another said “#TfuevsNinja, I’d really clap his a**,” alongside a laughing emoji. While the streamer soon regained access to his account and deleted the messages, Tfue wasn’t done. He uploaded a YouTube video the next day in which he talked more in depth about actually wanting to go ahead with the fight, as well as making some rather bold accusations. Ninja fires back at Tfue over “publicity stunt” In the video, the 22-year-old claimed that the beef with Ninja has been going on for a long time, and even alleged that the Mixer star had tried to get his Twitch account permanently banned in the past. “I think he did get hacked, but regardless of that, this is something that I’ve been meaning to get off my chest for a while now… For years and years, me and Ninja have been rivals… Ever since I started blowing up on social media, he’s been trying to tear me down, he’s been talking s**t behind my back,” he said. “I never mentioned this to anyone before, but he actually did try to get me permanently banned behind my back. He tried to literally ruin my career.” He then revealed that he’d actually like to accept the hacker’s proposition for a fight – even though it wasn’t Ninja himself who made the tweets. “I know he doesn’t f**king like me, and I know he’s been trying to tear me down forever, I’m giving him the opportunity now to try and tear me down in the ring… I don’t care, UFC, MMA, whatever, the KSI Logan Paul shit went well, so why don’t we do it?” he continued. “I’m not scared, if anything he’s scared. He’s talked all this s**t on me in the past, and now I’m giving him an opportunity to back it up.” (Timestamp 2:14 for mobile viewers.) After seeing this, Ninja fired back at the Twitch personality on Twitter, claiming that he doesn’t want to fight him and that he’s unhappy with his account being hacked used as a “publicity stunt.” “I have no interest in fighting you Tfue. I don’t hate you, I don’t want you to fail, but I also don’t appreciate you using my twitter being hacked as a publicity stunt,” he tweeted. “It was a breach in privacy which nobody deserve to deal with, your making it worse for me and helping him.” After YouTuber Carlitoes replied to the post claiming that it was just a joke, the Mixer streamer hit back with “That is not the point, all this does is give the hacker even more clout and attention, not to mention smear my name considering I never tweeted those things, and not everyone knows I was hacked.” Tfue has yet to reply to Ninja at the time of this article, but one thing is for certain – the Mixer streamer is not happy with how it’s played out at all. Dexerto will provide further updates on the situation as it develops.

Ninja hits back at Tfue for “insulting” his Mixer viewership – Dexerto
Ninja hits back at Tfue for “insulting” his Mixer viewership Twitch: Tfue / Mixer: NinjaStreamer Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins has spoken out against fans and fellow streamers who have criticized him for his dwindling viewership figures on Mixer compared to Twitch, particularly from Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney. In their most recent public bust-up, of which there have been many, Tfue mocked Ninja’s viewership on his new platform of choice, which has seen a significant drop since his high-flying days on Twitch. It’s no secret that Tfue and Ninja don’t see eye-to-eye, but Blevins has not taken kindly to this dig at his channel’s numbers, speaking out during a stream on June 2. For a recap of Ninja and Tfue’s turbulent history, first watch our breakdown of their rivalry: After a viewer prompted Ninja to comment on his concurrent viewing numbers, he said “I don’t care. So many people, it’s their number one roast. Both times Tfue tried insulting me, he’s talking about ‘how I need clout, my views are going down.’ “Taking pictures of the lowest that my stream numbers are every day. Dude, I’m still pulling on Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, millions of views. When I upload Fortnite to YouTube, I get millions of views. Seemingly responding directly to Tfue, Ninja continued, “I’m doing just fine man. Just because my livestream numbers are down because I’m on a platform that contains less than 5% total hours livestreaming watched a year.” He went on to say that pulling 10,000 concurrent viewers on Mixer is akin to pulling 80-90,000 viewers on Twitch, due to the already larger viewership base that naturally exists on Twitch. He also highlights Michael ‘shroud’ Grzesiek, another of Twitch’s most popular channels who moved to Mixer. “The fact shroud and I can stream tournaments and pull 10,000 viewers or more on Mixer […] is incredible.” He also criticized other figures in the scene for mocking Mixer in general, in particular calling out esports journalist Rod ‘Slasher’ Breslau, who has often joked about Mixer’s comparatively low viewers. “I’ve said this before, like Slasher dude, he’s trolling, but it doesn’t matter,” Ninja explained. “Every time there’s a huge live event going on, he’s like ‘2 million viewers watching on Twitch, 1 million on YouTube, seven and a half on Mixer.” “Moving to Mixer was massive, and it wasn’t just for me,” Ninja concludes, “I didn’t do it just for me either. One of the main reasons was that if we do this, it’s going to set the precedent that a lot of platforms are going to have start paying to keep, and paying people to move, platforms.” While Ninja’s viewership has undoubtedly seen a massive drop since moving to Mixer (as has shroud’s), he clearly still feels it was the right move in the long run, and not just for himself. Many speculated that he simply moved for the financial incentive offered by Microsoft’s platform, but he argues there is more to it than that.

Ninja hits back after being blamed for toxic fans sending abusive messages – Dexerto
Ninja hits back after being blamed for toxic fans sending abusive messages Twitch: NinjaTyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins, former Halo pro turned Twitch streamer, has responded after it became clear some members of his audience sent abusive messages to women. Ninja, with upwards of 16.7 million followers on Twitch, is one of the most well known and recognizable figures in the world when it comes to streaming and video games. However, with such a monumental following comes some unwanted followers; those who spread negativity and attack other members of the community. While these are obviously the minority, it leaves Ninja in a tricky spot, especially when he is drawn into arguments about their conduct. The issues were highlighted by Michele Morrow, a podcast host and TV presenter. On February 12, she tweeted: “A sampling of the daily harassment I receive from Ninja’s followers. A couple weeks ago, I pointed out that his stance on not playing with women is harmful to us. He tweeted I “don’t know shit”, but his followers prove my point”. Attached were a number of images showing hateful and abusive messages, in which Ninja was referenced. The comments also seem to attack the presenter over her criticism of Ninja refusing to play with women. Blevins initially responded to condemn his so-called fans, stating: “Nobody deserves to be harassed or messages anything like this, so I’m sorry that happened… They are not true fans if they are attacking people. I never encourage any of my audience to harass people.” They are not true fans if they are attacking people. I never encourage any of my audience to harass people. — Ninja (@Ninja) February 12, 2021 The issue did not stop there, though, with Morrow replying to Ninja’s tweet, simply saying: “Your fans told me to kill myself.” While many were sympathetic, others took issue with this comment. One argued: “It’s horrible, it really is, but surely Ninja can’t take accountability for everything his 7 million followers say?” After another comment from Morrow saying that she never suggested he is responsible for the hate, Ninja hit back: “But you insinuate that by tweeting random messages of people being toxic toward you? Truly you can’t think there is any other way to perceive your tweet?” https://twitter.com/michelemorrow/status/1360389218359382020?s=20 Morrow then called on Ninja to act as a “better role model”. She also disputed Ninja’s claim that the basis for the argument was based on a “bad article,” citing Ninja’s New York Times interview. https://twitter.com/michelemorrow/status/1360377493824237569 It’s certainly a difficult spot for Blevins to occupy. He has, in the past, explained that he is not willing to play with female streamers to avoid viewers speculating about romances and making his wife, Jessica, feel uncomfortable.

Ninja hits back at “brainwashed” viewers who claim he’s toxic – Dexerto
Ninja hits back at “brainwashed” viewers who claim he’s toxic NinjaTyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins has hit back at allegations of ‘toxicity’ from some viewers, defending the way he and his friends react and interact while gaming. While Ninja is considered one of the pioneers of Fortnite, hundreds of thousands of fans flocked to his channel to see him play alongside some of the streaming world’s other big names. These include DrLupo, TimTheTatman and CouRageJD. Although the squad does not play Fortnite nearly as regularly as they once did, they are still widely known as close friends and play a host of different titles together. Despite the close friendship shared between all of them, some viewers accused Ninja of behaving in a toxic manner towards them. The group regularly insult one another, but it appears that some viewers don’t realize it’s all lighthearted. “Toxic? Homie, me and my entire group of friends make fun of one another,” he said. “It’s what we do. We yell at each other, we insult each other. That’s how close we are with one another, and we’re the only ones who can do it to one another. Listen man, if your friends don’t like me, I don’t give a sh*t.” The group regularly roast one another. DrLupo, for example, is often teased about being the oldest member of the group. While most consider them harmless in-jokes, some viewers argued it is “toxic.” Certain viewers argued it is toxic, but a number also backed the Mixer star and suggested there is nothing more than harmless fun involved in the friends’ back-and-forths. While the squad may not be seen playing Fortnite every day, it looks like their friendships are as strong as ever.

Ninja hits 1 million subs on Mixer, resulting in likely huge payday – Dexerto
Ninja hits 1 million subs on Mixer, resulting in likely huge payday Ninja – TwitterSuperstar streamer Tyler ‘Ninja‘ Blevins has reached a whopping 1 million subscribers on Mixer, putting him in line to earn a very hefty sum of money. Ninja’s recent switch from Twitch to Microsoft’s streaming platform Mixer has been a very successful one so far, to say the least. The Fortnite icon surpassed 1 million active subscribers on August 6, a total that has simply never been seen before on any platform where subscribing isn’t free. “Today we hit 1,000,000 active subscribers on Mixer,” he tweeted. “Thank you for all of the incredible support. I haven’t felt this good in a long time.” What’s more, he managed to hit the achievement after just five days of streaming on Mixer, three of which were live from the Lollapalooza music festival in Chicago, Illinois. Today we hit 1,000,000 active subscribers on mixer ^-^ thank you for all the incredible support. I haven’t felt this good in a long time. pic.twitter.com/kdLgBJk0Ud — Ninja (@Ninja) August 6, 2019 It’s worth pointing out that that none of these subscriptions were paid for by users, since Mixer offered one month free in honor of Ninja’s highly-publicized switch to exclusively stream on the platform. However, that likely won’t stop the online celebrity from earning a huge payday as a result of his now-enormous sub count, according to Mixer’s official pay structure. Read More: Twitch take advantage of Ninja’s channel – The platform charges $5.99 per sub, 47 cents of which go to fees for third party services, leaving $5.52 of revenue. If the brokered deal was even for a 50% split, that means he will earn over $2.5 million for August, and that’s if he doesn’t get any more subs for the rest of the month. Of course, the details of deal between the two parties remain hidden, and may never actually be revealed, so it’s not clear how much he really is due to make, especially considering that all of this month’s subs were free. In fact, before he had even launched his inaugural stream, the former Halo pro managed to hit an astounding 250,000 subs, all in anticipation of his first broadcast. Whatever path his newfound partnership with Mixer ends up following, some might say that these early successes have already made everything worth it for both sides.

Ninja hints at insane taxes he paid on reported $50 million Mixer deal – Dexerto
Ninja hints at insane taxes he paid on reported $50 million Mixer deal [jwplayer qtClEeZt] Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins’ multi-million dollar contract with Mixer was definitely a nice chunk of change for the superstar streamer, and apparently Uncle Sam as well. Ninja made headlines worldwide when he announced he was leaving Twitch to stream on Microsoft’s now-defunct site Mixer in August 2019 for an undisclosed amount. He didn’t last quite a year on the site before it shut down for good in June of 2020, freeing him to stream on YouTube. According to various reports, he still allegedly made anywhere from $30-$50 million after leaving. Definitely a great payday but like the rest of us, Ninja still had to pay taxes on those fat stacks of Microsoft cash, and we might finally know about how much thanks to – strangely enough – U.S. President Donald Trump’s taxes trending on Twitter. Replying to a lighthearted tweet from Twitch streamer Hasan Piker, Ninja said the claim he paid approximately 33,000 times more in taxes than the president reportedly did was “almost accurate.” According to a report by the New York Times, Trump paid $750 in federal income taxes in 2016, and another $750 in 2017. Thanks to the power of math, we can get a decent estimation of how much in taxes Ninja paid on his Mixer money going from the response. If we do some quick maths and multiply $750 by 33,000 we get $24,750,000, which could be close to the ballpark for what the streamer paid in federal income tax on his reported $50 million. Of course, there’s no way to know exactly how much Ninja paid unless he decides to reveal it, which doesn’t seem too likely unless he decides to run for some public office one day. Setting aside thoughts of what it would be like to have Blevins as the U.S.A.’s first gamer president though, this just goes to show that taxes will always be one of the constants in life, even if you’re one of the world’s most famous streamers.

Ninja hit with massive Twitch follower botting as Spanish streamers gain ground – Dexerto
Ninja hit with massive Twitch follower botting as Spanish streamers gain ground Ninja, TwitchTwitch streamer Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins found himself swarmed by follower bots, as the platform continues to see strange surges among small and larger channels alike. Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins has become the pinnacle of Twitch, remaining the most followed streamer on the platform since January 2021. With over 17 million followers tuning in to the Fortnite streamer’s prowess, you wouldn’t expect Ninja to require follower bots at this level in his career. However, Twitch continues to see follower bots swarm the platform, with Ninja’s profile among the latest batch of streamers to be targeted. Ninja hits nearly 500,000 new followers amid Twitch botting With Chapter 3, Season 2 of Fortnite rolling ahead at full speed, Ninja seen incredible viewership on his Twitch channel. While it isn’t strange for the streamer to reel in thousands of viewers, the results between April 27 and April 30 are astounding, with nearly 500,000 new followers as of April 29. While it’s unlikely that Ninja will see any severe consequences to his channel, Twitch still has the problem of ridding the platform of follower bots on their hands. Outside of Ninja’s channel, there has been a significant uptick in channels of a far smaller caliber seeing absurd spikes in gaining new followers. While some channels have gained a fairly modest rise in viewership from the botting, some others have been hit with millions of new followers. Streamers Auronplay and Rubius are hot on the trials of Ninja too, as they strive to overtake the prolific content creator. The Spanish streamers have shown unprecedented growth on their channels, with Auronplay on track to gain 20 million followers in under 2 years (beating Ninja’s 3-year accolade). While Twitch rids the platform of bot accounts, it’ll certainly be interesting to see if Ninja’s reign can be beaten.

Ninja hilariously hits back at players trying to roast him – Dexerto
Ninja hilariously hits back at players trying to roast him Mixer / NinjaTyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins, Mixer star and Fortnite veteran, has hilariously hit back at players trying to roast him in a clip that has since gone viral on social media. Despite his unparalleled popularity, Ninja has had to deal with more than his fair share of negativity from the gaming community. It seems many are jealous of the success and wealth he has accumulated, but Blevins has now responded with a pretty incredible comeback. On April 17, while streaming Valorant’s Beta alongside some of fellow streamers TimTheTatman and DrLupo, Ninja hit back at viewers in jaw-dropping fashion. “Literally every game that I four-man or five-man with relevant people,” he said. “It’s just, within the first two rounds, an insult about Mixer to me, something about Fortnite ‘you’re trash’, or they plug their Twitch stream.” He explained that the trash-talk continues throughout the game, with people targeting him with Fortnite “sh*t talking”. “It’s like dude, I can literally purchase the bank that your house is being loaned out to,” he joked. “And f**king foreclose your house, and then you can’t talk sh*t to me because you won’t have internet!” As Blevins brilliantly hit back at those trying to roast him, long time friend and fellow streamer TimTheTatman could be heard in hysterics in the background. With Dr Lupo asking if there’s a Dexerto article getting written up on it – (yes there is, Ben) – Tim shared his shock at just how deep Ninja went. “I don’t know, maybe,” Tim replied, still laughing. “I gotta be honest bro, I was like ‘I wonder where he’s going with this’ and then you went way above where I thought you were gonna go. I knew you were gonna roast, but I didn’t know you were gonna like… roast.” The clip quickly went viral on Twitter, with fans applauding Ninja for his incredible, although brutal, comeback. While not to be taken too seriously, Ninja’s comments highlight the incredible success he has accumulated off the back of playing video games, and that he’s not afraid to hit back if he feels people are overstepping the mark.

Ninja hilariously roasts xQc during Keemstar’s Minecraft Monday – Dexerto
Ninja hilariously roasts xQc during Keemstar’s Minecraft Monday Ninja, xQc – TwitchTyler Overwatch pro during the fray. According to Minecraft YouTuber “Technoblade,” xQc himself had made a few not-so-subtle jabs toward their team, claiming that he didn’t have anything to be scared of due to Technoblade’s partnership with Ninja. 600“I was watching [xQc’s] stream and he’s like, ‘I’m not scared of Techno, he’s with Ninja this week,’” Technoblade claimed. “‘We got this. This is our week to win.’” “xQc is a little shit, dude,” Ninja replied in a self-deprecating roast. “Bro, literally, he’s totally just shit. Let’s go, dude! Imagine being tied right now to me! I have maybe 30 hours in Minecraft in my entire life.” Technoblade’s claims weren’t the only insults xQc had doled out toward the duo, either: he gave another hilarious roast during his post game interview, joking that Techno had only paired with Ninja due to his fame, rather than his Minecraft skills. “Listen, no offence to TechnoBlade, but I feel like he went for the bigger streamer instead of the better team mate,” the streamer joked. “Me and m0xyy have something indestructible, and that’s friendship.” Unfortunately for Ninja and Technoblade, xQc and m0xxy ended up taking first place, despite being tied with the pair in a hilarious turn of events. However, this victory marked a significant win for Lengyel, who has been participating in KEEMSTAR’s Minecraft series since its inception, finally securing the W with a whopping 300 points. With both xQc and Ninja being known for their over-the-top reactions and hilarious moments in-game, it comes as no surprise that the two bantered words during the heat of the competition – and there’s no telling what will come of their “rivalry” in future games.

Ninja has hilarious reaction to being paired with child in Apex Legends – Dexerto
Ninja has hilarious reaction to being paired with child in Apex Legends Ninja, Twitch / Psychology TodayPopular Twitch streamer and Fortnite player Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins is making the jump into Apex Legends – which resulted in a hilarious moment during one of his live broadcasts. Ninja, like many other top Fortnite players, is delving into newer battle royale title Apex Legends; but, of course, the pros aren’t the only ones playing. Ninja was in the midst of a live stream of the game when he got paired with a very young player, who made their presence known over the mic. “Holy crap, it took me an hour to get in the game,” the child said. “Finally!” Ninja had a humorous reaction to the kid’s voice, looking directly into his camera with a deadpan expression that belied internal screaming. The streamer appeared to be nonplussed as his squad partner continued to chat throughout their game, later assuring the kid that he would come to his defense after running out of ammo. The child went on to speculate if he was actually playing with the real Ninja, claiming that he had “really mixed feelings” about the possibility. “Bro, I think this kid is honestly on one,” Ninja said of his partner. Despite Ninja’s efforts, his squad was ultimately eliminated, after which he left the lobby. “That kid was drunk off milk or something, dude,” Ninja continued. “Sippy juice.” First official H1Z1 tourney – 1st First official PUBG tourney – 1st First official Fortnite tourney – 1st First official APEX tourney – 1st— Ninja (@Ninja) February 13, 2019 Ninja’s Fortnite prowess has bled over to this newest battle royale title, with the streamer winning Apex Legends’ first two tournaments, taking the Twitch Rivals tournament alongside fellow players KingRichard and Dizzy and later winning Dr Disrespect’s $200,000 Code Red Tourney.

Ninja has hilarious response to CNBC claiming nobody knows his real name – Dexerto
Ninja has hilarious response to CNBC claiming nobody knows his real name Mixer: NinjaTyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins had the perfect response for a guest CNBC analyst that failed to do their due diligence and made the interesting claim that “nobody knows” the streaming superstar’s real name. While Ninja may have blossomed into one of the most popular gaming icons with his blue hair and flashy Fortnite plays, it turns out that he actually has a real identity beyond his popular gaming alias. Blevins was recently a focal point during a June 25 financial segment on CNBC. Internet and media analyst Laura Martin joined host Kelly Evans on the show, and the pair discussed the market value of Amazon’s Twitch following the shock closure of Microsoft’s Mixer on June 22. At the top of the segment, Martin referenced “a video gamer named Ninja,” but proved she may not know everything there is to learn about the world of gaming as she suggested, seemingly completely seriously, that “he has a real name, but nobody knows what it is.” This line caught fire on social media and almost instantly went viral after industry expert Rod ‘Slasher’ Breslau shared it around. As a result of this, the clip soon caught the attention of Ninja himself, who had a hilarious reaction CNBC’s strange claim. Opting not to unload on CNBC and the analyst, he replied with a simple GIF instead: a commonly-used image of Pablo Escobar, as portrayed by Wagner Moura in the mega-hit Netflix series, Narcos. This was all he needed to convey his emotions. Reading between the lines on the GIF, the streaming star must have been dumbfounded by CNBC’s hilarious claim. Ninja has spent years putting in the effort to bring himself and gaming culture into the mainstream eye, so copping an accidental slight like this from one of America’s biggest networks may have stung a little. The relevant section of the CNBC segment begins at the 24-second mark. Naturally, such an amusing moment coupled with Ninja’s reaction, led to all manner of internet personalities replying in kind. One was fellow Fortnite star and YouTube personality Lannon ‘LazarBeam’ Eacott, who joked he had “never heard of Ninja,” which meant he “mustn’t be that famous.” “Who?” Tim ‘TimTheTatman’ Betar also bluntly joked after seeing the clip. The two often squad-up while playing games together on-stream, so once Ninja finds a new home post-Mixer shutdown, there’s every chance Betar may use this hilarious moment as an ongoing rib. Given the recent closure of Mixer, Ninja reportedly walked away with $30 million for his time spent exclusive to the Microsoft-owned platform. Only time will tell where he opts to stream next, but hopefully, when he does announce his big news, industry analysts will be able to recall his real name.

Ninja has stepped in as CouRage’s wingman on quest to date Ariana Grande – Dexerto
Ninja has stepped in as CouRage’s wingman on quest to date Ariana Grande Popular Fortnite streamer Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins is playing wingman to former CWL caster and streamer Jack ‘CouRage’ Dunlop in a hilarious attempt to woo American singer-songwriter Ariana Grande. It’s no secret that CouRage has a crush on Grande, thanks to his hilarious Tweet asking the singer out on a date – or even for a chance to be her backup dancer. Now, even Ninja is helping him out, taking on the role of a true wingman by reaching out to the Pop star over Twitter on November 21. Ninja tagged Grande in the hilarious Tweet asking her to give his buddy a fighting chance. CouRage retweeted Ninja’s request – along with two photoshopped pictures of himself and Grande at fictional weddings. “I just want to be Ariana Grande’s ‘next’,” he Tweeted afterward, referencing the singer’s new single, ‘Thank You, Next.’ Ninja’s Tweet garnered a slew of hilarious responses from personalities across the esports realm, with the likes of FaZe Attach, Nate Hill, and Dakotaz chiming in. “Jack may actually have a chance now,” FaZe Attach commented. “She’ll see soon that Jack is the ‘next’ she needs,” eUnited CoD pro Jordan Kaplan replied. Even Twitter Gaming joined in on the fun, replying to the thread with a gif of a man eating popcorn, as if watching as the drama unfolded. This isn’t the first time CouRage has Tweeted about his feelings toward Grande, either – in fact, he regularly talks about his crush on the singer, and was even part of a hilarious Twitter debacle that involved Vine star and comedian Dwarf Mamba. Mamba asked Grande out in a humorous Tweet on November 18, where he referenced his height and insinuating that Grande should date him due to her own relatively short stature. CouRage responded to his post in good spirits, asking that Mamba let him have a shot, first.

Ninja heckled by Lollapalooza crowd for being a “sellout” – Dexerto
Ninja heckled by Lollapalooza crowd for being a “sellout” Ryan HadjiTyler ‘Ninja‘ Blevins had to contend with some vocal hecklers during his first stream on Mixer – with one, in particular, labelling him a “sellout.” Ninja shocked the world on August 1 when he revealed that he was cutting his ties with Twitch after 8 years on the platform and making the switch to Mixer. Before he even hit the go live button for the first-time, Blevins destroyed Mixer’s subscriber record and attracted close to 500,000 followers. He made the move a reality on August 2, streaming the popular Friday Fortnite event from the iconic Lollapalooza music festival in Chicago. However, he didn’t hide away in a secluded streaming room. Instead, Ninja was in full view of his fans who did their very best to make themselves a part of the stream – screaming out anything and everything they could think of, including jabs at the streamer. During his inaugural Fortnite foes. Their presence wasn’t all supportive, however, as one viewer tried to roast him. “Tfue is better!” called out one on-looked before the streamer quickly fired back with “How did he do at the World Cup?” Of course, after being left reeling by Ninja, the heckler had to find something else to try and stump him with. “How much did you get paid to switch to Mixer? 100 million?” he screeched, without any response from the streamer. “Yo Ninja,” he added before trying to start a “sellout, sellout, sellout” chant. Yet, that didn’t work either so the viewer had to return to his first roasts. He screamed: “One vs One Tfue!” Regardless of the attempted roasting, it was clearly a successful first stream on Mixer for Ninja as thousands tuned in and supported the move. It was less-so in terms of the Fortnite action, however, as despite teaming up with World Cup winner Bugha, the pair could only finish tied 5-6 and outside of the prize money. Nevertheless, Ninja will be back on Mixer for the remaining days of Lollapalooza – which concludes on August 4 – before heading back to the comfort of his normal set-up.

Ninja has genuinely started giving Fortnite players homework advice – Dexerto
Ninja has genuinely started giving Fortnite players homework advice Twitter, @ninja / Epic GamesFrom Fortnite star to household name to… impromptu tutor? Ninja is now, once again, breaking barriers — as the popular streamer took some time during a recent Twitch stream to help kids with their homework. The brain is a very important part of the human body. Some would say it is the most important part. And therefore, nourishing the brain is valuable. Ninja understands this and that’s why he wants his community to do their homework. While some have roasted Ninja’s decline in Twitch viewership, he hasn’t been bothered by it. Instead, he’s enjoying streaming Fortnite (even though he refuses to play competitively anymore). So, during a recent Twitch stream with SypherPK, Ninja took a moment to casually address a viewer’s homework struggles. In doing so, he revealed a next-level strat to nourish your brain while nourishing your gameplay. Ninja gives gamer homework advice Ninja is a gamer at heart and that is evident in his advice. Telling a viewer to “just do your homework, man,” he elaborated with a sneaky process that Fortnite players can follow. “Here’s how I used to do homework: If I only had like one or two pieces of homework, I would just do them in between my queues. You get about two to three questions per queue and you game for a couple hours and all your homework is done.” While teachers might prefer that you sit down and do all of your homework at once, Ninja’s advice is pretty reasonable. It’s a good way to spend the time between games productively and it’s hard to deny the results if it worked for him. Already as financially stable as can be, fans are enjoying Ninja streaming so casually. And, although his League of Legends toxicity was fun, you’ve got to appreciate him getting wholesome with the Fortnite community.

Ninja has hilarious encounter with a snake on Sea of Thieves – Dexerto
Ninja has hilarious encounter with a snake on Sea of Thieves Twitch megastar Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins is synonymous with Fortnite, but his recent adventures in Sea of Thieves have given his fans plenty of incredible moments, including a comical run-in with a snake. Like many Twitch streamers, Ninja has started to stream Sea of Thieves, with many of the platform’s top stars moving over to the pirate game due to frustration with the current state of Fortnite. It was during one of these broadcasts that Ninja first came across a snake in the game, and was met with a nasty surprise when trying to capture it. Running around an island while a long way from their ship, fellow streamer Tim ‘Timthetatman’ Betar suggested to keep an eye out for Mermaids in the water, as interacting with the mythical creatures would teleport the crew back to their vessel. While scouring the sea, Blevins spotted a snake on the edge of the water, and decided to try and capture the reptile so he could take a closer look. Unfortunately for Ninja, once he captured it inside of his basket, the snake immediately stuck its head through the top and bit, with Ninja screaming in surprise at the attack. “How do I get rid of it?” yelled Ninja as his screen turned red, while his fellow players chuckled. “What just happened dude? I picked up the snake and it bit me! Ow!” Ninja isn’t the only Twitch streamer who has been enjoying Sea of Thieves, with Dr Disrespect introducing special graphics to his broadcast to celebrate his time on the game, while Summit1g has been pulling off incredible heists. Belvins also caught Jack ‘CouRageJD’ Dunlop making fun of his subscribers in game, prompting Ninja to join Dunlop’s call in an incredibly funny exchange.

Ninja has awesome reaction to surprise visit from TimTheTatman – Dexerto
Ninja has awesome reaction to surprise visit from TimTheTatman Popular Mixer streamer Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins had a wholesome reaction to being surprised by the presence of his friend and streaming collaborator Timothy ‘TimTheTatman’ Betar. Ninja is arguably the biggest streamer in the world, particularly after making the unprecedented switch to Microsoft’s Mixer, which has since also boasted the addition of Michael ‘shroud’ Grzesiek. TimTheTatman is known to be a good friend of Blevins, and has remained on Twitch even as some of its biggest creators have made the switch to Mixer. On November 8, he revealed that he would be spending the weekend in Chicago, the resident city of Ninja. Wanted to surprise @Ninja but now I can let ya know that I’m in Chicago this weekend… going to be spending time with him and also seeing old friends that I haven’t seen in years! Excited to be back here! — timthetatman (@timthetatman) November 8, 2019 He explained that he kept it quiet because he wanted to surprise Ninja, but is in Chicago to see old friends for a few days. Betar later shared a wholesome video of Ninja reacting to finding out his friend had made the trip to visit him. Tim currently resides in upstate New York, a considerable way from his friend’s Chicago residence. A video tweeted out by Tim shows the 29-year-old letting himself into Ninja’s stream room, with the ex-Halo player covering his eyes in excitement. Ninja clearly can’t believe it, exclaiming: “What the fuck?! What just happened? What the heck?” He goes over and hugs his good friend, before also hugging Alexis, Tim’s wife. The pair may regularly collaborate online but, given the distance between them and the fact that their relationship is based on video games, they don’t get to spend as much time together as they may like. The video spread instantly on Twitter, with Fortnite streamer TSM Daequan describing the pair as “genuine friends, love to see it”. The pair’s friendship is clear and reflects the way video games can foster genuine real-life friendships. Read More: How to watch KSI vs Logan Paul 2 – We can expect to see more of Ninja and Tim together, both online and offline. While Blevins can now be found on Mixer alongside shroud, Betar can still be found at his long-time home on twitch, where he regularly broadcasts games to his audience of over 4 million followers.

Ninja has Fortnite YouTube video demonitized for “blood and gore” [UPDATED] – Dexerto
Ninja has Fortnite YouTube video demonitized for “blood and gore” [UPDATED] Update, 02/26, 1:15PM EST: YouTube Gaming’s Ryan ‘Fwiz’ Wyatt has stated that Ninja’s video was not in fact demonetized initially. FYI — I looked into it. It was never at any point demonetized. I think you just saw the reviewer leaving comments on the video, but the video was never actually demonetized at any point. cc: @Dexerto — Ryan Wyatt (@Fwiz) February 26, 2019 Original article below. Top Twitch streamer and YouTuber Tyler ‘Ninja‘ Blevins was surprised to discover that one of his latest YouTube videos, containing Fortnite gameplay, had been demonitized because of ‘blood and gore’. With over 20 million subscribers, Ninja is by far the most popular Fortnite YouTuber, with each video garnering millions of views in the first few days of being uploaded. It’s a major revenue stream for Ninja, with advertising on these videos adding to his Twitch income of subscriptions and donations, but not even innocent Fortnite videos are safe from YouTube’s occasionally faulty system. Fortnite contains no blood nor gore, with characters simply disappearing into a blue haze when they are eliminated (Fortnite even carefully avoids using the term ‘kill’, opting for ‘eliminate’ instead). Combined with its vibrant colors and cartoony style, Fortnite is rated for 12+, unlike most other battle royale style games. The rating board PEGI states it contains “frequent scenes of mild violence”. But, YouTube’s system deemed this violence not so mild on one of Ninja’s videos, flagging it as containing blood and gore, and as a result removing ads from the video. YouTube flagged my fortnite video as bloody and gorey and got demonetized… my… fortnite video…. dude lol how is that possible. — Ninja (@Ninja) February 26, 2019 Thankfully, head of YouTube Gaming Ryan ‘Fwiz’ Wyatt quickly responded, giving Ninja a point of contact and explaining that it must have been a mistake. The issue was quickly resolved for Ninja, but fans were quick to point out that if it was a smaller creator, then it may not have been such a quick turnaround. Imagine if it wasn’t Ninja. Someone who didn’t have this much pull could be screwed. :upset: — KPJ (@Imagine_V2) February 26, 2019 why not act like this for other creators ? why only for the big creators ? the small creators dont even get this kind of support from the official’s when they get this kind of stuff , so much for ”craing for every single creator” — Pixelated_S@if (@pixelatedsaif) February 26, 2019 Issues around what is deemed unjustified demonetization of videos has been a hot topic in the YouTube community lately. Some channels have even been entirely terminated due to multiple infractions, possibly caused by an automated system which YouTube is acknowledging can make mistakes.

Ninja has a challenger for fastest growing channel on Twitch – Dexerto
Ninja has a challenger for fastest growing channel on Twitch Despite many seeing Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins as the face of Twitch, he’s got some competition when it comes to the fastest growing channel on the platform. Ever since Fortnite Battle Royale exploded in popularity in early 2018, Ninja has been enjoying his time at the top of the viewership charts on an almost daily basis. Ninja was one of the first streamers to really feel the effects of the game’s popularity, hitting his peak in the Spring when he racked up over 200,000 subscribers on Twitch. While Ninja was rising to success, FaZe Clan’s Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney was also exploding into the scene on the back of some incredible performances during the popular ‘Friday Fortnite’ tournament series. As Ninja’s subscriber and follow count has started to average out after such amazing highs earlier this year, Tfue has continued blowing up with no end in sight. Read More: FaZe Banks responds to Shane Dawson calling him by the wrong name in Jake Paul docuseries – After beating out Ninja in total followers gained a couple weeks back, Tfue has once again held onto the mantle with another solid week of followership. According to TwitchMetrics, Tfue has gained close to 145.000 followers in the last seven days, while that number sits at around 125,000 for Ninja. Fortnite’s floating island has activated the final rune ahead of rumored major cube eventWith 11.8 million followers on Twitch, Ninja managed to pull in 4.8 million hours watched over the last seven days, coming in second only to Riot Games, who managed 7.2 million due to the 2018 LoL World Championships currently taking place. It’s not time to count Tfue out, however, as despite having almost nine million fewer followers at 3.1 million, Tfue racked up an impressive 3.4 million viewer hours in the last seven days. an appearance on Ellen, but Tfue could certainly get there one day if he continues this level of growth.

Ninja goes undercover at Lollapalooza to ask fans about himself – Dexerto
Ninja goes undercover at Lollapalooza to ask fans about himself Red Bull Content PoolMixer star Tyler ‘Ninja‘ Blevins put on a disguise and went undercover at Lollapalooza to ask festival goers what they thought about him. Ninja’s debut on Mixer came with a stream from Lollapalooza but he spent his time not streaming being just as productive. As part of his partnership with Red Bull, Ninja donned the disguise of a reporter named Hans where he threw on a wig and facial hair and went into the crowd to interview people. In his disguise, he asked several people what their favorite show of the music festival was so far but the interview really shined when he asked them if they gamed or knew anything about Ninja. “Are you guys gamers?” he asked two girls in which they replied with yes. “You guy’s know Ninja’s there? Do you even know who that is?” Shockingly, they said they don’t know how Ninja is but said they knew who Jack ‘CouRageJD‘ Dunlop was. Ninja asked a man in a Fortnite shirt if he was a fan and the guy simply replied with “I love Fortnite.” The best part of it all was when he asked a group of people if they were Ninja fans and they instantly recognized him. “Are you guys gamers at all?” he asked a group right before they caught on. He then took off his wig and facial hair, revealing that he was in fact the real Ninja and took pictures with everyone. It’s definitely not every day you can say you ran into an undercover Ninja. .@Ninja hit the streets of Chicago, undercover, to see what attendees are most excited about @lollapalooza 2019! The first stream reached upwards of 70,000 viewers while the next two days settled in around 30,000. If those numbers continue outside of Lollapalooza we can pretty much consider the switch a success.

Ninja hacked on Twitter as troll targets Tfue and KEEMSTAR – Dexerto
Ninja hacked on Twitter as troll targets Tfue and KEEMSTAR Mixer: Ninja / PixabayTyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins is the latest streamer and online influencer to have his Twitter account compromised by hackers who left some rather offensive messages targeted towards Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney and Daniel ‘KEEMSTAR’ Keem. At approximately 9:45AM PST, hackers began posting tweets from the Fortnite star’s social media account, asking his audience to follow a specific account before going on to target others with some crude messages. “Following 5 Who follows @OwenBreh Like and RT when done,” the first tweet read, before going on to ask Tfue to “fight” him, and shouting out someone who’s presumably the hacker’s friend. After the seemingly innocent tweets, the hacker then went on to insult KEEMSTAR’s appearance, and to complain that the Twitter account they had promoted previously had been suspended as a result of their actions. “Twitter really just suspended @OwenBreh #FreeOwen,” they said, before following up the Tfue fight request by tweeting out the hashtag “#TfueVsNinja” alongside a laughing emoji and the statement “I’d really clap his a*s.” Read More: MLG Twitch channels banned after hack – Shortly after this, all of the offending messages were then deleted, presumably because Ninja had regained access to his account and put a stop to the madness. At the time of writing, Ninja is yet to speak out about the hack, but his wife Jessica Blevins wasn’t so silent, and revealed that the hacker had actually messaged her privately from her husband’s account asking her to “work this out,” presumably at an attempt to make some quick cash. “So, obviously Tyler’s twitter got hacked,” she tweeted while his social media was still compromised, letting fans know what was going on. “Fkn idiots. Hacker DMs me “we can work this out. imessage me” You lasted FIVE minutes little f**k boy. Byeee,” she then followed up in amusement. Fkn idiots. Hacker DMs me “”we can work this out. imessage me”” You lasted FIVE minutes little fuck boy. Byeee — Jessica Blevins (@JessicaBlevins) February 22, 2020 This isn’t the first time that the Fortnite pro has had his social media compromised – in July 2019, trolls infiltrated his Instagram and promoted scam giveaways. Luckily for Ninja, both situations were resolved swiftly before any significant damage could be done.

Ninja roasted by Twitch streamers over his “masterclass” streaming guide – Dexerto
Ninja roasted by Twitch streamers over his “masterclass” streaming guide YouTube: NinjaThe world’s most popular gamer and streamer Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins has come under heat after giving bad advice in his streaming MasterClass guide. On March 7, Twitch’s most famed broadcaster with over 17.5M followers on the platform unveiled his brand-new online learning course. The 30-day curriculum hosted on MasterClass helps anybody learn the ins and outs of streaming, and how to grow their online presence – all taught by the world’s best. However, Ninja has come under fire for the “bad” advice given in the course that other creators claim would be detrimental instead of beneficial. Ninja roasted over Twitch streaming “masterclass” tips In a March 16 tweet, Twitch creator blizzb3ar reacted to Ninja’s guide on how to become a streamer, roasting his tips. Ninja’s MasterClass session explained how having the viewer list open when starting out and interacting when you see a new viewer is a good way to grab their attention. However, other creators warned to not take the advice given by the streaming star. “Don’t you ever, and look at me when I say this. Don’t you ever f**king do that,” blizzb3ar warned. “People have social anxiety online. Believe it or not, I’m one of those people. I lurk everywhere. I tend to know what people are doing all the time because that’s what I do. I just like being in chats looking at my friends being successful. Do not open the viewer list!” Hi, if you are new to streaming, don’t you EVER fucking do this. I swear to god. This will ruin your growth. pic.twitter.com/CjZ9g6JJJj — blizz (but with rizz) (@blizzb3ar) March 16, 2022 “Legitimately if I had someone call me out of a viewer list I would never come back ever,” one user replied. Another user added: “The majority of my social anxiety is gone but, if someone did this, I would simply leave and never come back.” The majority of my social anxiety is gone but, if someone did this, I would simply leave and never come back — Jack (@Zenaltra) March 17, 2022 Twitch Ambassador Steve Saylor also got involved in the conversation and agreed with the creators: “Do not ‘shout out’ viewers who are either lurking or just watching. It’s awkward for everyone,” said the ambassador. “Especially if they are there to just vibe and support you with a view. “If they chat then great say hi. But, don’t call someone out if they haven’t given you permission to.” Streamer tip: DO NOT “”shout out”” viewers who are either lurking or just watching. It’s awkward for everyone. Especially if they are there to just vibe and support you with a view. If they chat then great say hi. But don’t call someone out if they haven’t given you permission to. — Steve Saylor (@stevesaylor) March 17, 2022 This isn’t Ninja’s first rodeo being roasted by the Twitch community. Streamer and Fortnite pro m60_ joked about the popular creator after finding his “Get Good: My Ultimate Guide To Gaming” from a dollar store. While Ninja’s advice may have worked for him, it certainly won’t work for everybody, so it’s probably best to take some guidance with a grain of salt.

Ninja gets instant karma for being “too cocky” in Fortnite – Dexerto
Ninja gets instant karma for being “too cocky” in Fortnite Twitch Ninja / Epic GamesAnyone who watches Tyler ‘Fortnite player, but the streamer gave viewers a lesson on why you shouldn’t get too cocky during his Monday, July 29 stream. Ninja is back from the Fortnite World Cup, and following the excitement of the weekend, hopped straight back into the Battle Bus in search of Victory Royales and cool eliminations. After stalking down an opponent near Paradise Palms, the streamer looked set to dominate another enemy in style, until his cocky behaviour turned out to be his hilarious downfall. As the 28-year-old and teammate EG MoNsTeR attempted to push out of the racing track in the south-east corner of the map, Ninja came across an opponent, who he quickly lobbed a Boogie Bomb at. With the enemy stuck dancing uncontrollably, the former Halo pro chased him down, lobbing more of the musical devices at him, before finally trapping him underneath a balcony, placing traps around the opponent to easily pick him off. Things didn’t work out for Ninja though, as his trap only dealt 150 damage, leaving his opponent with 50 health, who duly whipped out a shotgun and blasted the streamer into oblivion, despite Ninja’s dominance. When you get to cocky… LOL IM TRASSHSHHSHHSHSH pic.twitter.com/jp3pXTCeCF — Ninja (@Ninja) July 29, 2019 The Twitch streamer was left stunned, unable to grasp how he managed to throw away what looked like a simple kill, and one he would definitely have been able to clean up with ease had he not tried to mess with his opponent. After staring into his camera with a look of absolute shock, Ninja finally let out a yell of “Bro!” before explaining what happened to his teammate – although he handily left out that he had been tracking him in the build up to the battle. Thankfully, the streamer’s embarrassing error didn’t cost his team the victory, as EG MoNsTeR was able to find the remaining kills they needed to win the match – although it’s sure to be a while before his chat lets him live that one down!

Ninja gets a shoutout during the Nets vs Lakers NBA game – Dexerto
Ninja gets a shoutout during the Nets vs Lakers NBA game NBA commentators gave Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins a shoutout after spotting him and his wife Jess courtside during a game between the Brooklyn Nets and Los Angeles Lakers. It would be hard for the commentary team to miss the popular streamer with his bright red hair right now, and former professional basketball player Richard Jefferson seems to think highly of Ninja and streamers alike. “I’m a fan of anybody that gets to play video games for a living,” Jefferson said, “they are officially my hero.” When asked about Fortnite, though, the former shooting guard said: “I was more of a Halo guy – I still am a Halo guy. Fortnite is not really my thing”. The NBA game finished 115-110 with the Brooklyn Nets coming out victorious and the footage of Ninja’s callout was posted to Twitter by Rod Breslau. The esports consultant described it as a “legit” moment. Got @Ninja @JGhosty courtside at the Lakers Nets game. You can all play with your friends so it connects people around the world, it’s free to play and it’s super fun.” As the biggest name on Twitch and potentially even the biggest gaming channel on YouTube, Ninja remains the most recognizable representative of gaming entertainment to the mainstream.

Ninja gets insanely lucky vs Phil Hellmuth in poker and can’t contain his delight – Dexerto
Ninja gets insanely lucky vs Phil Hellmuth in poker and can’t contain his delight YouTube: LudwigViewers watched in disbelief as Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins had an extraordinary stroke of luck against legend Phil Hellmuth during Ludwig’s all-star livestream. As Ninja celebrated, the ‘Poker Brat’ appeared visibly annoyed. Ludwig fans were counting down the days for his highly-anticipated poker stream. Gathering together famous faces from both poker and the streaming community, some of those in attendance included Tom Dwan and Felix ‘xQc’ Lengyel. With such an eclectic selection of players, it’s no surprise that there were some exciting moments and revelations during the stream. One of which was when streamer Ninja ended up enjoying a great bit of luck when facing poker pro Hellmuth, considered one of the greatest players of all time – but also never one to hide his emotions. Ninja celebrates stroke of luck against Phil Hellmuth At one point in the game, there was an intense showdown between Helmuth and Ninja. As a Jack, King, and an Ace came out on the table it looked like Ninja would have to fold having only just two sevens. Whereas, Hellmuth now had three Jacks. Yet, Ninja chose to continue even though he really had very little chance of winning the hand. Then, in a stroke of extraordinary luck for him, the final card to land on the river was a ten. As a result, he and Hellmuth both ended with a straight – better than both of their pocket pairs. This meant they would simply split the pot. One of the greatest moments in poker livestream history… 16-time WSOP bracelet winner @phil_hellmuth vs #1 all-time Twitch streamer @Ninja “”I’ll s*** a d*** for a 10″” WELPhttps://t.co/jXQNWVxtbH pic.twitter.com/JJeiywQGM0 — Hustler Casino Live (@HCLPokerShow) May 2, 2022 Ninja quickly leaped out of his seat and screamed with delight. Instead, he sat quietly and shook his head. Ludwig’s 9-hour-long poker livestream has finally come to an end with Alexandra Botez and Jimmy ‘MrBeast’ Donaldson, being crowned the winners of the night. Although, it was Hellmuth’s “grown man baby” behavior throughout the tournament which became the real talking point of the night for some.

Ninja hits back at fans saying he’s changed from the ‘Old Ninja’ – Dexerto
Ninja hits back at fans saying he’s changed from the ‘Old Ninja’ Dexerto/Twitch screenshotTyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins has lashed out at calls from his stream chat for him to return to his ‘old Ninja’ ways while streaming, explaining it from his perspective. The former professional Halo player turned live streamer, would regularly freak out with explicit rants when playing games such as Fortnite, H1Z1 and PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds. However, he has toned his reactions down and ceased swearing – to the annoyance of parts of his viewership – as he began growing bigger and bigger on Twitch. 500Ninja is often seen as the face of the live streaming platform and a huge influence on his audience, putting him under a microscope that many other streamers aren’t. His actions and body language are scrutinized to the highest degree, so it should come as no surprise that he was angered at people asking him to ‘change.’ “Let me be perfectly clear, I am the same person,” Ninja said, beginning his passionate on-stream rebuttle. “I’m just as hype and I freak out just as much! Old Ninja, the only difference is if I died, I would say ‘son of a.., mother…, are you … kidding me, get this … out of the game, you piece of …’ That is it. That’s the only difference.” He continued: “I’m the same person, I just don’t swear alright. And guess what, when I freaked out one time, I got two people who freaked out on Reddit and made posts and roasted me. And I got a guy who faked a ban to smear my name! That’s what happened when I freaked out, so I can’t do that anymore.” Ninja has grown exponentially in the past two years and his turn to a more family-friendly streamer makes sense, despite some long-time viewers not enjoying his streams as much. Opening himself up to a wider audience certainly has more benefits for Ninja as seen by his link-up with the NFL’s Detroit Lions and sponsorship with Red Bull.

Ninja freaks out after spotting strange lights while stargazing – Dexerto
Ninja freaks out after spotting strange lights while stargazing Twitter: @Ninja / UnsplashOn April 26, popular streamer Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins posted on Twitter about a strange encounter he had while stargazing with his wife. The Mixer star’s video went viral as he asked his followers what it could be. Ninja is one of most popular streamers in the world, boasting millions of followers to his channel. The personality made a major move in 2019 when he left Twitch and signed exclusively to Microsoft’s platform. However, the Mixer star made waves on on social media when he uploaded a video about flashing lights in the sky. The UFO-like encounter had a pretty simple explanation though after his followers solved the mystery. Related – The Secrets to Courage and Nadeshot’s Success Ninja details bizarre lights while stargazing The streamer tweeted out “What the hell did I just see” on the night of April 26. The post included a video where he explained to his fans that he had been stargazing with his wife when something bizarre interrupted the experience. “I freaking s**t you not. What I thought was the North star, it starts flashing. And like forty dots, they all look like little mini stars just start shooting out of it. And falling in a perfect straight line across the sky,” he exclaimed. The Fortnite star tried to capture footage of the event, but his camera had failed him. “I tried to get a video. Couldn’t record s**t. My phone wouldn’t pick it up. What the hell is this? What just happened?!” After many fans replied trying to figure out what it was, Ninja uploaded a single photo to his social media to give viewers a glimpse at the phenomena he and his wife had witnessed. The mystery, however, seemed to be solved when friend and fellow streamer Benjamin ‘DrLupo’ Lupo suggested that it was a satellite by SpaceX that he had seen. YouTuber Jacksepticye confirmed it, linking a video to the Starlink project – which matched up with Ninja’s photo. The Starlink project was first launched into orbit in March 2018, and was helmed by Elon Musk’s company SpaceX. The project consists of thousands of small satellites which provide internet access. However, seeing the line of dots in the sky can be jarring for the first time. The Mixer star had not made any further comments on the experience until a day later on April 27 when he tweeted out ‘Aliens’ alongside an extraterrestrial emoji. Bizarrely, the post coincided with ‘UFO’ – Unidentified Flying Objects’ trending on Twitter at the same time. The term exploded on social media after the Pentagon allegedly released video evidence of them. The streamer joked about the timing when a follower replied, “After what you saw last night, they had to confirm.” Ninja exclaimed, “The TIMING though.” While the answer to Ninja’s stargazing mystery was none other then Elon Musk’s satellite, it’s hard to deny the hilariously coincidental timing of UFOs trending on social media the following day. Extraterrestrials aside, the Fortnite star continues to crush it on Mixer with an insane amount of followers. The streamer has also amassed millions of followers across YouTube and Twitter.

Ninja freaks out at 100 Thieves’ The Mob during intense Among Us match – Dexerto
Ninja freaks out at 100 Thieves’ The Mob during intense Among Us match InnerslothTyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins might be one of the most well-known streamers on the planet, but a recent Among Us match with 100 Thieves’ The Mob proved he’s still subject to the game’s tilt-inducing mechanics just like the rest of us. Innersloth’s rediscovered hit of a party game has dominated Twitch and other streaming sites for weeks, with almost every streamer taking a break from their usual routine to try and survive as either crewmate or imposter. This of course includes Ninja, who’s shown that Among Us is apparently able to get under his skin even easier than Fortnite, no easy feat, but one that’s definitely been entertaining to watch. During an after dark broadcast with members of 100 Thieves’ The Mob and a few other streamers on October 4, cracks started to appear in Blevins’s usually cool facade after his companions really started to try and push his buttons. OH NOOOOOO CONNOR LOL@Con12345678900 @Ninja pic.twitter.com/5DrtblXxDz — Jack “CouRage” Dunlop (@CouRageJD) October 5, 2020 Jabs over his precious Detroit Lions’ loss to the New Orleans Saints on Sunday were just the tip of the iceberg though, as members of The Mob from 100 Thieves actively began to play politics against the Fortnite legend. In Among Us this is far from a new strategy, alliances and teamwork can be a big part of making sure your team survives or ensuring that no one makes it out alive in the Imposter’s case. After failing to convince The Mob’s ‘Mako’ to vote against his 100T comrade ‘Avalanche’, Ninja seemed like he was ready to take his ball and go home. “Mako, vote Avalanche. Vote Avalanche. Bro, I have proof on Avalanche we had the intel we needed,” the streamer implored, before Mako simply chose not to vote and time ran out. “F***ing dumb, you’re so dumb! This is why I don’t wanna play with you guys! Mako!” I hate playing with the MOB @100Thieves VOUCH? pic.twitter.com/RMk3FziiMj — Ninja (@Ninja) October 5, 2020 After insisting that he “really wasn’t that upset” with “99% of it being for content,” he threw off his headset and took a short breather while Imposters Avalanche and Marcel won the round. It probably helped that everyone was too busy laughing to do anything else. Among Us has definitely produced some great freakouts and meltdowns on stream ever since it became widely popular, but Ninja’s have easily been some of his most entertaining moments since returning from Mixer.

Ninja fires back at viewers demanding the return of ‘Old Ninja’ – Dexerto
Ninja fires back at viewers demanding the return of ‘Old Ninja’ Twitch streamer Tyler ‘Fortnite, there was a lot more that went into the equation. During his meteoric rise to the top of Twitch, Ninja operated with the gamertag ‘NinjasHyper’ on Fortnite and thousands of viewers fell in love with his style of commentary and gameplay. Ninja made the change to continue growing When Ninja decided to make the switch to family-friendly streams he ruffled a lot of feathers but explained it was the right business decision to make at the time and still backs up that decision, even about a year later. He argues the things he said as ‘Old Ninja’ wouldn’t work with him being in the mainstream and he would have been shredded. “The things that I did and the things I don’t say anymore and the majority of my streams being family friendly, that was for the gaming community,” he said. “Do you think anything I said when I was 21 and vulgar would fly in news and on television in mainstream? No, they didn’t, they wouldn’t.” Ninja explains that he still does want to swear on streams, which is why he has his ‘Ninja After Dark’ streams where he loosens up his restrictions, but moved away from it because of the kids that watch him and not the critics. Other streamers wouldn’t survive the mainstream With that said, he says if you put any other gamer in his position at the peak of Fortnite but had them talk the way they currently talk the media would have destroyed them. “Put any other gamer, any other streamer who talks the way they talk, swears the way they swear, and says the things they say and put them in mainstream media,” he said. “Do you think that news networks and social media accounts wouldn’t have torn them down.” With all this said, it looks like those hoping for the return of old Ninja will still have a long time to wait.

Ninja flabbergasted after impersonator tattoos his face on their neck – Dexerto
Ninja flabbergasted after impersonator tattoos his face on their neck YouTube: Ninja / TikTok: @dreamersjoinusTyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins is one of the biggest names in the gaming world, and although he’s got tons of fans, one of his viewers took things to the next level by getting the streamer’s face tattooed on themselves. Ninja has become one of the top Twitch streamers of all time. Once a Halo pro, he later skyrocketed to further fame due to his Fortnite broadcasts, and quickly rose to the heights of internet stardom as a veritable icon for the battle royale game. As a result, Ninja has accrued millions of followers on multiple social media platforms and has even started his own merchandise empire — so it comes as little surprise that he’s got a ton of fans who hope to grab his attention at any given moment. However, one of these “fans” (or rather, his very own impersonator) tried catching the streamer’s eye with a plan that will literally mark them for life… if it’s real, that is. On July 8, the frontman for pop music group ‘Dreamers,’ Nick Wold, uploaded a video of himself dressed up in full Ninja gear — complete with the blue hair and headband — with the intent of getting a tattoo of Ninja’s face on his neck. (It’s worth noting that Wold has taken it upon himself to impersonate Ninja in the past, and has made it his shtick of sorts on social media.) Saying that the tattoo was the “worst pain” he’d felt in his life, the video doesn’t actually show the process of Wold getting the tattoo — but the result is undoubtedly a drawing of a smiling Ninja plastered right beneath the musician’s ear. “I really hope @ninja sees this, I would die of happiness!!!” Wold wrote. “I love you man!!” Well, it looks like the Dreamers’ dream came true… although it doesn’t seem like Ninja is wholly convinced the stunt is for real. no way this is real… wait till the end https://t.co/zoeStSd9bw pic.twitter.com/DhpXXTR87n — Ninja (@Ninja) July 9, 2021 “No way this is real… wait till the end,” Ninja wrote in a quote-retweet of Wold’s TikTok. It seems the comment section is largely in agreement with the streamer — but either way, it makes for a pretty great prank, and an insanely over-the-top stunt if the tat is actually the real deal.

Ninja finds yet another questionable Shadow Bomb exploit in Fortnite Season 9 – Dexerto
Ninja finds yet another questionable Shadow Bomb exploit in Fortnite Season 9 Epic Games / Red BullFortnite Battle Royale‘s Season 9, but he’s found a new exploit using Shadow Bomb that he never wants Epic Games to take away. The Shadow Bomb, which was added to Fortnite Battle Royale in Season 8 with the v8.51 patch, allows players to become more or less invisible for a few moments during matches, while handing them the opportunity to jump much higher than regular players. Of course, the item is intended to give the players an advantage no matter the circumstances, but Ninja showcased a way that it can be used to latch onto the side of mountains during his May 16 stream, completely out of sight of other players, and it’s very easy to do. The popular Twitch streamer was trying to maneuver himself around the final circle of a match, in search of a Victory Royale, where he discovered what appears to be a very useful exploit that could be used by any player holding the Shadow Bomb item. After discovering just how effective the tactic could be, particularly in the latter stage of matches, he said: “This is so broken. Please don’t ever fix this Epic,” with a grin on his face. What makes the issue even worse, though, is that while he’s jumping around on the mountain, the effect of the Shadow Bomb doesn’t appear to wear off as it normally should. These clips show just how long the exploit allows the effect to be prolonged for, allowing the Duo to avoid contact with two teams – one to the left, and another to the right – who are completely oblivious to the situation. The item is only supposed to keep players hidden for a few seconds, but this exploit allows Ninja – and his teammate Reverse2k – to stay invisible for nearly two minutes straight. Whether or not Epic Games is aware of this issue is unknown at this time, but surely this type of glitch has no place in the game. If the developer reveals any fix or comments on the problem, we’ll be the first to let you know about it.

Ninja fires back at Twitch streamer Kaceytron about playing with women – Dexerto
Ninja fires back at Twitch streamer Kaceytron about playing with women Ninja, Twitch / Kaceytron, TwitterTyler Fortnite star. Pop sensation Lady Gaga gave a humorous inquiry about the battle royale game in wake of its Chapter 2 release on October 16, which saw Ninja give his two cents on the subject. However, it didn’t seem that Gaga knew who Ninja was – a matter that Twitch streamer “Kaceytron” took the liberty of explaining. In her heated explanation, Kaceytron brought up Ninja’s past scandal regarding his comments on streaming with women, claiming that he “doesn’t support women” and would never stream with them “unless it benefits him.” He’s one of the most popular streamers on the internet and he doesn’t support women as he has publicly announced he will never duo stream with any woman, I guess unless it benefits him. — kaceytron (@kaceytron) October 16, 2019 That wasn’t the last of her comments on the subject, though, with the IRL Twitch star later claiming that she was being attacked by Ninja’s fanbase in wake of her comments. “It was and still is a shitty decision that he hasn’t retracted,” she wrote in a Tweet on October 17. “It alienates women and I’d hate to see Lady Gaga stream with him.” I am being attacked by @Ninja fanboys for stating the truth that he won’t stream with women, unless it benefits him. It was and still is a shitty decision that he hasn’t retracted. It alienates women and I’d hate to see @ladygaga stream with him. — kaceytron (@kaceytron) October 17, 2019 She went on to call Ninja’s wife, Jessica Blevins, “insecure,” deeming their marriage “fragile” and referring to his fanbase as twelve-year-olds. 12 year olds I KNOW, he does it “”out of respect”” for his wife… that is so NOBLE of him to admit that his marriage is so fragile and his wife is apparently so insecure that a taploid of him playing games from across the world with A GIRL could ruin his marriage. GIRLS ARE GROSS — kaceytron (@kaceytron) October 17, 2019 Despite the backlash, Ninja was quick to challenge Kaceytron’s latest claims, reminding the streamer that he’s played squads with women and has even hosted multiple female broadcasters. “I have literally played squads with multiple women after that article over the last year and a half, as well as hosted MANY female streamers,” Ninja clapped back. “I will continue to support everyone in gaming while you get baked on stream.” I have literally played squads with multiple women after that article over the last year and a half as well as hosted MANY female streamers. I will continue to support everyone in gaming while you get baked on stream ^0^ — Ninja (@Ninja) October 17, 2019 Ninja also explained that his divisive statement on streaming with women was made in a bathroom during a party “years ago,” and that his words were “completely blown out of proportion.” This interview was done in a bathroom hallway at a party years ago. I have played with multiple women since then, and it got completely blown out of proportion. But gotta love people like this who don’t even watch me pulling an old article to prove a point. — Ninja (@Ninja) October 16, 2019 While fans have no news of an official joint stream between Lady Gaga and Ninja thus far, it doesn’t look like the backlash from his past comments is dying down anytime soon – and Kaceytron isn’t backing down from her thoughts on the matter, either.

Ninja reveals how FaZe Clan helped Tfue gain early success – Dexerto
Ninja reveals how FaZe Clan helped Tfue gain early success Ninja – Instagram / FaZe Clan – TwitterProminent streamer Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins has given his take on the ongoing controversy involving FaZe Clan and their star Fortnite Battle Royale pro player Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney. There is no doubt that, for the past day, the biggest storyline in esports has been the lawsuit that Tfue filed against FaZe Clan, which was officially made public news on May 21. The news sparked major debates across social media, drawing out reactions from top members of the online gaming community, including Ninja. Commenting on the controversy during his livestream, Ninja revealed that FaZe played a major role in helping Tfue gain a lot of success early on, since it was thanks to the org that the pro player was invited to exclusive Fortnite BR tournaments. “I’m literally in a group chat with KEEMSTAR,” he said. “And he said that the only reason Turner was invited to compete in those tournaments, like the Friday Fortnite tournaments, was because he was on FaZe.” YouTuber Daniel ‘KEEMSTAR’ Keem’s Friday Fortnite tournaments during May and June of last year were one of the first truly popular competitions organized for the popular battle royale. Tfue and his FaZe duo Dennis ‘Cloak’ Lepore dominated the series, winning four tournaments together while no other player ever won more than one. With those competitions gaining massive viewership and coverage on Twitch and across esports, Tfue’s legend as a dominant force continued to grow. The point that Ninja and many others have tried to make is that being on FaZe was instrumental for Tfue to become the mega star he is today, which he should have taken into account before agreeing to file the lawsuit. Why is Tfue suing FaZe Clan? Tfue’s lawsuit against FaZe Clan is based on the grounds that the org violated California law by allegedly limited his ability to pursue his profession. According to his lawyer, the org took 80% cut of all the revenue from his branded videos on social media, a claim which has been vehemently denied by FaZe founder Ricky ‘Banks’ Banks. In addition, the lawyer also accused FaZe of “jeopardizing the health, safety, and welfare of its members,” which includes serving alcohol to members before they’re legally allowed to drink, and pressuring newly signed underage players to lie about their age.

Ninja explains why Twitch ‘chat baiters’ have made him cut back on streaming – Dexerto
Ninja explains why Twitch ‘chat baiters’ have made him cut back on streaming YouTube: NinjaTwitch superstar Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins is one of the most popular streamers of all time, but he’s now revealed he’s spending less time streaming because of people in the chat trying to make him slip up. Over the past half-decade, Ninja has reached incredible heights, becoming a huge name in the gaming world. He remains the most-followed person on Twitch, with almost 17 million followers, and recently landed a cameo in a major movie. But there are downsides to being such a prominent figure in the gaming community. While having thousands of people tune into your content is the dream for many streamers, there’s also the risk of people trying to tear you down. During a couple’s Q&A video with his wife Jessica, one viewer asked Ninja how often he feels the things he says during live streams get taken out of context. The short answer? All the time. In fact, he’s now streaming less because of it. “The reason I’m not streaming as much as I normally do right now, is because every time I stream, I feel like I’m getting a bunch of donations and questions and people in the chat trying to get me to say something, and then it ends up being twisted and it blows up in my face,” he said. “It’s like, f**k this, I don’t need to be giving people chances to clickbait me and make me look bad, it’s stupid. You don’t become fake, but you [do] start answering things in non-serious ways.” Topic starts at 5:10 Ninja’s wife Jessica also weighed in on the situation, explaining that “every time Tyler says something it gets twisted” and highlighting the huge amount of stress that comes with “knowing that every single second of what you’re doing is being looked at”. This isn’t the first time Ninja has opened up about the downsides associated with modern internet fame: he recently admitted that the “pressure” of streaming gets to him sometimes, although he did argue that “if you’re a good person, you won’t have a problem”.

Ninja explains why he believes Twitch is by far the best streaming platform – Dexerto
Ninja explains why he believes Twitch is by far the best streaming platform Ninja/TwitchTyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins doesn’t think any other streaming or video site could dethrone Twitch. In his opinion, it’s not even close. Ninjas’s undoubtedly one of the biggest names in the streaming space and may be better suited than most to discuss Twitch’s dominance over different platforms. Remember when he went to Mixer and was back within a year? After coming back to the site where he became such a big name, he doesn’t think anyone will be slaying the purple streaming giant anytime soon. Ninja thinks no platform is even close to Twitch and he doesn’t even consider YouTube a competitor He also thinks Mixer had fraction of a chance if they used him, Shroud, and advertised properly pic.twitter.com/zKv4nZa84A — Wicked Good Gaming (@WickedGoodGames) August 8, 2021 “There’s literally nothing else but Twitch,” Blevins said during an August 8 Fortnite stream. “Like, I almost don’t even look at YouTube as a competitor. In the sense that like, if someone has a favorite YouTuber streaming on YouTube, they’ll watch them there.” Ninja could be on to something here. Even though YouTube has been trying to expand its video game streaming section, we see time and time again Twitch getting most of the big names and their viewers. At this point, the site is basically synonymous with streaming itself. “What other platform is there dude, at all?” he asked. “That is just solely livestreaming, that competes with Twitch?” Mixer: The Twitch-killer that never was? Ninja did suggest Mixer had a “fraction of a chance” to possibly take on Twitch. That being said, they apparently didn’t use the resources (ie: himself and shroud) they paid so much for. “Alright, Mixer had like, a fraction of a chance of potentially turning into something great,” Blevins admitted. “If they used me and shroud going there, and like, the pandemic, and actually switched away from Microsoft email accounts to sign up, and actually did some proper advertising.” There’s always the possibility we could see some new site come up, or YouTube fine-tuning or throwing enough cash at their streaming services to be on-par with Twitch. But for now, it does seem like Ninja is right, and there’s nothing out there that can really give the site a run for its money. At least, not yet.

Ninja explains why Tfue shouldn’t try to create his own esports org – Dexerto
Ninja explains why Tfue shouldn’t try to create his own esports org Ninja – Twitch / TwitterThere have been a lot of rumors that Fortnite Battle Royale star Turner ‘Tfue‘ Tenney wants to create his own esports organization, but Tyler ‘Ninja‘ Blevins isn’t so sure that’s a good idea, at least right now. After Tfue rocked the esports world by filing a lawsuit against FaZe Clan, many began to speculate that his true intentions were to try and get out of his contract so that he could kick start his own org. This was further fueled when FaZe CEO Lee Trink claimed that had been Tfue’s mindset all along, and that the young star had used the org and Ricky ‘Banks’ Banks to gain knowledge about how to successfully run an esports operation. Many prominent figures within the online gaming community have given their opinion on this, the latest being Ninja. Unlike some other of his fellow star streamers, like Dr Disrespect, Ninja doesn’t think it would be the right decision for Tfue to try and create his own org right now. Ninja believes that if Tfue was to embark on the long journey that is creating an esports org, it would require a full investment of his time, which would inevitably hurt his streaming career that’s been so successful thus far. “If Turner wants to make his own organization, I don’t think he realizes how much time it’s going to take,” Ninja said. “I mean, if he wants to truly be a part of it, from day one, and be part of all of the decisions, and meetings, and fundraising, and getting investors, that’s going to take a long time man. A lot of time away from his stream, a lot of time away from competing.” Ninja then went on to cite the career of Matt ‘Nadeshot‘ Haag, reminding everyone that he gave up virtually all of his regular content creation when building and then running 100 Thieves. “Like Nadeshot basically stopped content creating when he started up 100 Thieves,” he explained. “But if he knows that and still wants to do it man, then more power to him. I just felt like it wasn’t time, you know what I mean? “I know it’s expensive, I know you need investors. You have to pay for houses if you want a gamer house. You have to pay for all the contracts, all the lawyer fees. You have to pay salary. You have to pay for travel.” Why hasn’t Ninja started his own esports org? Speaking further on the subject, Ninja revealed that he had given thought to possibly starting up is own esports org, but ultimately thought better of it. “It’s difficult dude, and it’s not necessarily that profitable right off the rip,” he said. “For me personally, it’s something I’ve thought about, and something I might do in the future, but not in the foreseeable future.” He also touched up on his contract with Luminosity Gaming, offering a contrast to Tfue’s contract situation with FaZe Clan, which is very much still a hot topic. “I waited out my contract for LG,” he revealed. “We thought about trying to get out and doing what … you know. But we decided that it would be best if we just played nice and let the contract run its course. And there were more restrictions than necessary; there shouldn’t be any restrictions.”

Ninja explains why TimTheTatman & DrLupo leaving Twitch is a good thing – Dexerto
Ninja explains why TimTheTatman & DrLupo leaving Twitch is a good thing Twitch, Ninja/ YouTube, TimTheTatmanAfter TimTheTatman and DrLupo announced they have left Twitch for YouTube, Tyler “Ninja” Blevins explained why their moves may be great for the industry as a whole. Between platform moves and partnership deals with well-known brands like Adidas, Red Bull, and Uber Eats, Tyler Blevins has had plenty of experience handling business in the content-creation industry. Following recent announcements from DrLupo and TimTheTatman moving from Twitch to YouTube, Ninja used his business knowledge to explain why their announcements may be a good thing for other creators. Ninja explains his thoughts on TimTheTatman leaving Twitch While chatting on his September 1 Twitch stream, Blevins started his thoughts by explaining that he has no inside information when it comes to anything regarding the moves. Going into a hypothetical situation between Twitch and YouTube going back and forth with offers over Lupo and Tim, Ninja theorized that it is possible Twitch wouldn’t offer certain incentives to keep the creators on their platform. With the thought that he might be right, Tyler explained why it may be good for other Twitch Partners: “Everyone that is left on Twitch, now has more leverage to stay on the platform by getting a better deal, or they could leave as well.” Going on to explain how those left on the platform can use Lupo and Tim’s move against the platform when negotiating contracts. While nobody knows what happened behind closed doors when the two creators were negotiating contracts, Ninja definitely thinks it will be beneficial to the industry as a whole.

Ninja explains why he’s taking an unplanned few days away from streaming – Dexerto
Ninja explains why he’s taking an unplanned few days away from streaming Ninja, Twitch / Khadijah Khan-Potter, EtsyWorld-famous streamer Tyler Fortnite star is putting the brakes on his constant streaming schedule. Ninja updated fans with a wholesome Tweet on August 15, announcing that he was taking the evening off to spend time with his father and encouraging his audience to enjoy their Thursday. “Reminder today that I hanging with my pops and chilling with my family later tonight,” Ninja wrote. “Have a great Thursday everyone.” Reminder today that I hanging with my pops and chilling with my family later tonight > — Ninja (@Ninja) August 15, 2019 However, that wasn’t the end of his break: Ninja went on to announce that he is taking two additional days off from his near-constant broadcasting, explaining that he wants to spend time with his family and loved ones. “Last night was incredibly epic, and it made me realize even more how important family is and spending time with loved ones,” Ninja Tweeted. “I’m taking today and tomorrow off of streaming to do just that. I love you all.” Last night was incredibly epic, and it made me realize even more how important family is and spending time with loved ones. I’m taking today and tomorrow off of streaming to do just that. I love you all > — Ninja (@Ninja) August 16, 2019 While Ninja has taken ample time off from streaming in the past, this marks his first “major” break since moving to Mixer – a move that some fans considered dangerous, due to losing potential views by stepping away from his massive platform on Twitch. Despite this concern, Ninja’s wife and manager Jessica Blevins explained that the duo was content with this potential loss, stating that they were “ready and confident” for the transition and felt that it aligned with “what we believe in and wanted for the brand.” Although the stats on @Ninja Mixer channel are amazing right now, thats not what we planned to focus on with the transition. We are stoked about it, but even if Ty had 5k viewers, we were ready and confident with this move. Aligns with what we believe in & wanted for the brand > — Jessica Blevins (@JessicaBlevins) August 8, 2019 Ninja’s recent break from Mixer follows his two-day break from Twitch in 2018, when the star took a breather from broadcasting to travel to E3 for the Fortnite Celebrity Pro-Am. This break didn’t come without consequence – the streamer made a public note that he’d lost 40,000 subscribers due to his hiatus, making special mention of the “grind” that streaming demands in comparison to other jobs. Wanna know the struggles of streaming over other jobs? I left for less than 48 hours and lost 40,000 subscribers on twitch. I’ll be back today (Wednesday) grinding again. — Ninja (@Ninja) June 13, 2018 “Wanna know the struggles of streaming over other jobs?” Ninja explained. “I left for less than 48 hours and lost 40,000 subscribers on Twitch.” While Ninja seems confident in his plans to take another large break, fans will have to sit tight to hear from their favorite streamer for the next two days, with the star set to return to Mixer on August 18, 2019.

Ninja explains why streamers should follow him and Shroud to Mixer – Dexerto
Ninja explains why streamers should follow him and Shroud to Mixer Streaming superstar Tyler ‘Ninja‘ Blevins has explained why more Twitch streamers could and should follow him and Michael ‘shroud’ Grzesiek in making the move to Mixer. Both Ninja and Shroud ended their long-standing relationships with Twitch to send shockwaves across the streaming world and join Mixer. The Microsoft-owned platform has made in-roads in trying to take viewers from Twitch, even though they may have doubters like Dr Disrespect. The pair, who regularly attract over 30 thousand viewers each, have recently been joined by popular Destiny player Cory ‘KingGothalion’ Michael as Mixer expands its broadcaster portfolio. Yet, Ninja believes there is scope for more to follow in the footsteps – especially with the platform having such an open market as of now. During his October 27 stream, the former Halo professional received a donation quizzing him on Shroud’s jump to Mixer – and he responded with plenty of positives before jumping into a deeper dive of things. With Mixer having a growing variety of streamers and a solid platform, Twitch broadcasters have an alternative that they didn’t have before “There wasn’t a reason to leave, why would you? All the big guys are there. Now, I love this platform, it’s such a great platform, but there wasn’t a reason for any to watch it or leave Twitch unless they hated what they were doing behind the scenes,” stated Ninja. Ninja also pointed out that even if shroud and him aren’t online, there’s a growing crop of streamers on Twitch that can cultivate their own following as more and more viewers keep visiting Mixer. “It’s like, hold on now, now we got another one, now we got another [streamer] – now there’s someone else to watch!” he said. “This platform is great, the streamers are great, now they [viewers] start discovering other streamers as well because they’ve been on the platform for so long.” Now, there’s no indication that any other Twitch megastar will be following Ninja and Shroud anytime soon, but they both moved without any forewarning. Growing streamers may well jump across if they can see an opportunity to grow quicker than they perhaps would on Twitch, but it remains to be seen if Mixer can knock the livestreaming giant off their perch.

Ninja explains why streaming 8 hours a day can be “miserable” after Tfue quits – Dexerto
Ninja explains why streaming 8 hours a day can be “miserable” after Tfue quits Ninja/TwitchNinja responded to Tfue’s decision to go on an indefinite hiatus from streaming by revealing his own struggles being a content creator. On June 20, prominent Fortnite creator Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney announced he would be going on a long break from streaming, tearfully admitting in a YouTube video that he felt “trapped” in front of a screen. Tfue’s decision to go on a hiatus resonated with many in the streaming community with Twitch legend Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins weighing in on the situation with a special message to his fellow Fortnite cohort. In a TikTok clip where Ninja watched Tfue’s “goodbye” video, the former Halo pro sympathized and noted how streaming eight hours a day when you don’t want to can feel “f**king impossible.” Ninja reveals why streaming can be so hard for some creators The streaming sensation compared going live for eight hours to working a 9-5 job, adding that those who have streamed eight hours a day for a year straight can relate to what Tfue went through. “If you haven’t streamed and haven’t had to put on a show and be entertaining and be invested… when you really don’t want to be there. Imagine you just don’t want to be there. You don’t want to be doing what you’re doing,” Blevins began.

Ninja explains why a lot of new Twitch streamers are doing it wrong – Dexerto
Ninja explains why a lot of new Twitch streamers are doing it wrong One of Twitch’s biggest stars, Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins, has offered words of advice to any budding streamer looking to forge a career on the platform. After growing in popularity while playing H1Z1, Ninja’s channel reached a height that had never been seen before following the release of Fortnite Battle Royale. He broke the record for the most concurrent viewers on Twitch while streaming the game with Drake, as well as signing a sponsorship deal with Red Bull. The 27-year-old is still one of the most viewed streamers on the platform and has offered some useful advice to any upcoming streamers looking to make a name for themselves in one of the most competitive job industries. Ninja believes that small streamers need to build an audience for themselves on a less popular game rather than competing with the thousands of people trying to become the next Fortnite star. “It’s better for people to start streaming a game that isn’t the most popular on Twitch,” he said in a clip posted to Twitter. “You start out on Rainbow Six Siege or Call of Duty, anything but League of Legends or Fortnite where it doesn’t take an hour to scroll down to someone with a hundred viewers,” Ninja added. “When the next big game comes out, you can switch over to that game and about half your viewers will follow. Then you can start to build your audience that way.” Given his enormous success on the internet, Ninja’s tips should be taken on board by anyone hoping to make a career out of streaming. But given the saturated nature of most games on the platform, it will be harder than ever to become the next big Twitch star.

Ninja explains why he returned to Twitch instead of joining YouTube – Dexerto
Ninja explains why he returned to Twitch instead of joining YouTube Twitch: NinjaMonths after the Mixer shutdown and a supposed bidding war to claim one of gaming’s biggest celebrities, Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins has revealed why he settled on a return to Twitch over a new home at YouTube. [jwplayer QIWQDyD7] Ninja has long-been one of the biggest personalities in the gaming industry. As a result, it’s no surprise that every major streaming platform was trying to place the highest bid and recruit him under their banners. Months after the shocking Mixer shutdown, Ninja’s next move was still up in the air. A mysterious YouTube stream had fans believing that he’d just revealed his new home, though an eventual Twitch deal completely changed the narrative. So what happened in this period of relative silence? It turns out that Ninja was simply weighing his options. As his close friends like Jack ‘CouRage’ Dunlop made the move to YouTube, to “avoid the pressures“ of Twitch’s Subscriber system, Ninja was close to joining him. “Were you thinking about seriously going on YouTube?” Fortnite content creator Lachlan Power asked during a recent Duo session. “We were highly considering it,” Ninja quickly responded. “It was a lifestyle thing at that point.” “No matter what, that transition at the start is always going to be super difficult,” he acknowledged. Regardless of where he ended up, he knew it would be challenging after representing Mixer for as long as he did. However, his sights seemed to have been set back on Twitch all along. “Twitch is streaming right now. If I do amazing things for gaming and for streaming, I think it would have more of an impact if done on Twitch.” That’s not to say his impact would have been reduced had he joined YouTube instead, it just comes with a different label altogether, according to Ninja. “When someone says ‘you’re my favorite YouTuber,’ almost no one ever means your streams on YouTube. They think of your YouTube videos. “It’s just the news in general. No one ever reports on a YouTuber getting a million live viewers or raising millions of dollars for charity,” he explained. “But when someone like Logan Paul f***s up, it’s YouTuber this, YouTuber that.” The relevant section begins at the 1:13 mark below. Obviously, a few other minor factors weighed on the decision. From the lack of a proper clipping tool, to the entire notion of gifted subs, a huge revenue stream for content creators, Ninja still believes they have a ways to go. “Competition is great for everyone,” he assured. While Twitch is ‘the’ home for streamers in Ninja’s eyes, things could always change down the line as YouTube continues to evolve its own streaming service.

Ninja explains why Nadia’s Warzone cheating controversy was actually “genius” – Dexerto
Ninja explains why Nadia’s Warzone cheating controversy was actually “genius” Twitch/NinjaWarzone streamer Nadia has been at the center of several alleged cheating controversies in 2022 and now Ninja has chipped into the conversation and offered up his thoughts on the precarious situation. Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins has seen it all in the world of streaming. The multi-FPS pro and titan of the streaming space has run the gauntlet of both online gaming and LAN competitions, making him a qualified candidate anytime there’s a cheating debate in the gaming community. While clips surfaced earlier in September that supposedly showed the former face of Fortnite mocking Nadia’s situation, he has now clarified exactly how he feels about Nadia’s success and about the growing number of players who believe that she has been cheating. Ninja calls Nadia a “marketing genius” after Warzone hacking controversy Ninja was streaming when a viewer asked him what he thought about the situation that has risen up around Nadia, including her exit from the Call of Duty NEXT Modern Warfare 2 event, Blevins didn’t hold back in heaping praise onto Nadia for how she’s handled the constant influx of attention and also took some time to make it clear that he doesn’t think she’s cheating at all. “I think she’s a frickin’ marketing genius. She’s leading you with the whole cheating thing. There are a s***itload of people, a.k.a. men, who are freaking the hell out and giving her a lot of attention,” he said. He later referenced the extended clip that Nadia showed off on her channel that showed the full exchange that led up to her leaving her station at the event to drive his point home. This is quite the compliment coming from the man who elevated Fortnite (and in some ways streaming culture) into the global mainstream and established one of the most recognizable brands in gaming. That kind of portfolio is one of a kind and it’s clear he respects the way Nadia has controlled an unstable moment in her career.

Ninja explains why new streamers shouldn’t play Fortnite or other ‘big’ games – Dexerto
Ninja explains why new streamers shouldn’t play Fortnite or other ‘big’ games Red Bull/Epic GamesStreaming star Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins has offered some advice to up-and-coming streamers, explaining why they shouldn’t try and play popular games like Fortnite right away. As streaming has become a legitimate career over the last few years, there have been plenty of folks who have dove headfirst into starting a Twitch and YouTube channel in hopes of achieving massive success. While the majority of streamers aren’t going to replicate what the likes of Ninja, xQc, Valkyrae, and Pokimane have done, there is a spot for most – provided you can find your niche. Even though you may have really good skills in a game like Fortnite or Warzone, Ninja has urged wannabe streamers to not dive right into the biggest categories right away. The Twitch star, who has been back dominating on Fortnite since the Chapter 3 update, offered a few tidbits of advice to new streamers, especially on the topic of how they should start out. “Unless you’re one of the best players in the game, when you start off streaming and you’re trying to build a brand from scratch, it’s important to start with a smaller game that has a smaller, more tight-knit community,” he told CNET. Ninja noted that this path will prevent new streamers from getting “buried” on the game’s directory page, especially if it’s as popular as something like Fortnite. “You can work on building your community, and you’re way more easily discoverable in a smaller game,” he added. YouTuber and professional gamer @Ninja has spent his life playing games and making a fortune from it. He now shares his secrets for those who want to follow his footsteps. pic.twitter.com/rOwbYW6jYh — CNET (@CNET) June 17, 2022 While it may seem like simple advice, it is something that many streamers still don’t follow. Just take a scroll through Twitch’s Fortnite, Warzone, and Valorant pages, and you’ll find plenty of talented players with no viewers. Of course, you can grind away and prove yourself in pretty much any game, but that hard work will pay off quicker if you give yourself a better foundation to start from.

Ninja explains why he wants a new video platform to overtake YouTube – Dexerto
Ninja explains why he wants a new video platform to overtake YouTube Mixer streamer Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins has explained why he thinks it’s time for a new video service to take the main stage and “go up against YouTube.” In the last couple of years, Ninja has seen unprecedented success on Twitch, Mixer and, of course, YouTube, but it appears he may have had enough of the video content platform if his comments in a recent stream are anything to go by. Playing Fortnite with long-time teammates Tim ‘TimTheTatman’ Betar, Jack ‘CouRage’ Dunlop and Dennis ‘Cloakzy’ Lepore, Ninja tried to be sensitive about the subject – especially with YouTube-exclusive CouRage playing – but his opinion became evident early on. He said: “Jack, I love you, and if you want me to shut up I will… I feel like if there was ever a time for another video platform to make a move… I feel like now is the time for someone to take on YouTube.” Though Tim responds that this will simply “never happen,” to which Ninja agrees, he continued that now is the perfect time to do it. “There are so many people complaining, and there’s nowhere else to go,” he said. CouRage responds to this showing faith in his friend and YouTube’s Head of Gaming Ryan ‘Fwiz’ Wyatt, saying: “Well, the good news is, I’m confident that one day Ryan is going to take the helm and fix everything.” (Timestamp 00:20 for mobile users) Interestingly, Ninja goes on to expand on this idea with a rumor that could prove terrible for content creators that use YouTube. He says “I’ve heard rumors, dude, that ads on gaming might be completely removed.” His teammates don’t respond, which could mean either that it wasn’t something they were willing to talk about or something that they had no opinion or knowledge on. Whether it’s true or not, it certainly seems like Ninja trusts his sources on this one. If true, the removal of ads from gaming videos could prove fatal to the lifespan of gaming content on YouTube, let alone the career aspirations of people who make their money from YouTube Gaming. Whether the rumor about ad removals is true, it’s clear that Ninja feels it’s time for a new video platform to overtake YouTube “similar to how Discord dominated the VoIP community.” With many YouTubers complaining about YouTube algorithms, the ‘adpocalypse’ and everything else that comes with life on the platform, Ninja probably isn’t the only creator that feels a new platform is due its time.

Ninja explains why his Twitch decline doesn’t bother him – Dexerto
Ninja explains why his Twitch decline doesn’t bother him YouTube: NinjaTyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins has explained why his decline on streaming platform Twitch does not bother him, explaining that he has “no intention” of being that guy anymore. Few streamers have seen anything even comparable to the meteoric rise Ninja experienced in late 2017. Off the back of Fortnite’s similarly staggering explosion in popularity, the former Halo pro’s top-tier gameplay and fiery spirit endeared millions of fans to flock to his Twitch streams. He remains the most-followed streamer on the Amazon-owned streaming service, sitting at over 17 million followers. However, it hasn’t been all plain sailing for the 30-year-old. A move to Microsoft’s Mixer ended with the service collapsing, and his return to Twitch has never seen him regain his prior popularity. According to TwitchTracker, Blevins’ streams average around 11,000 viewers. That is compared to audiences in the hundreds of thousands at his peak. Despite the fall in viewership and audience engagement, a recent interview with the Washington Post saw Ninja explain why he doesn’t mind the changes. “No one’s gonna stay on top forever, especially when it comes to live-streaming; there’s always somebody new and hot,” Blevins said. “I have no intention of being that guy anymore. I know I’m not going to pull 100,000 viewers on [Twitch] anymore. I don’t have time to do that. I have a wife, I have a family.” Fortnite itself does not pull in the viewers it once did, and Ninja (alongside many other former-Fortnite streamers) can be found playing a variety of titles now. He continued: “[Fans] are focusing on what they can see in front of them, which is numbers and ‘Ninja isn’t getting 100,000 viewers anymore’, but what they don’t see is everything we created while we were massive and [the] global recognition we have that’s bigger than just streaming on Twitch.” At his biggest, Ninja broke the records for most concurrent viewers on a single streamer’s broadcast (666,000 in a Fortnite session with Drake) and most subscribed creator on the platform (269,000). Both records have since been broken. It goes to show that nothing lasts forever and, as Ninja is keen to emphasize, fans don’t always see the whole picture when they go solely off numbers.

Ninja explains why he moved from Twitch to Mixer to help other streamers – Dexerto
Ninja explains why he moved from Twitch to Mixer to help other streamers Streaming star Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins dove deeper into his reasoning behind moving from Twitch to Mixer – claiming that while it was never his plan to leave, doing so was to the benefit of everyone. Ninja sent shockwaves across the streaming world when he announced that he was finished with Twitch and would be heading to Mixer back on August 1. There has been plenty of speculation behind his reasoning for the move, but regardless, it opened up the door for everyone else to depart their home platforms for new pastures. Michael ‘Shroud’ Grzesiek has ultimately joined him on Mixer, but Ninja finally opened up on starting the Twitch exodus and helping to build up the growing platform during his appearance on The True Geordie podcast. Ninja noted that prior to his move, Mixer had 5% of the total hours watched when it came to streams, meaning that he hypothetically should have had around 2,500 viewers – but he’s brought over a lot more folks. “Let’s just look at the numbers bro, at the end of my Twitch life I was averaging like 20 to 30k viewers every single day and to literally be able to average 10,000 viewers on Mixer, it’s astounding,” Blevins said. “It’s actually incredible, I mean, I still get people who are like ‘only 8,000, only 9,000(viewers)’ and I’m like ‘homie, do you know how great that is on this platform right now?’ and it’s still growing,” Ninja continued. “It’s exciting man and we’re really working on a lot of cool stuff to take advantage of the situation Mixer is in right now.” The streaming superstar revealed that he wasn’t actively looking to leave Twitch prior to his departure and was deep in negotiations as he wanted to “make it work,” but a breakdown allowed Mixer to swoop in and clean up on the deal. While Mixer has been seen as the smaller platform, with a major drop off in numbers compared to its rival, Ninja was more aware of what the move was “going to do for a lot of other streamers and gamers.” He stated: “Obviously the deal was great and I do love the platform, it’s incredible, but I knew – my wife and I – we went into this like we’re doing this for everyone else – and looked what happened man. We got people being re-signed to Twitch, people moving to YouTube, and now more people being signed and making deals, and that’s how it should be.” With the precedent of moving being set by Ninja, and streamers constantly heading away from Twitch, it remains to be seen as to who the next big name departure will be. Shroud, who followed in Ninja’s footsteps, claimed that Jack ‘Courage’ Dunlop’s move to YouTube was the sign of things “just getting started” in a wider industry shake-up, so there seems to be some big moves in the pipeline.

Ninja explains why he thinks Kick will be more successful than Mixer – Dexerto
Ninja explains why he thinks Kick will be more successful than Mixer Twitch: NinjaStreaming superstar Ninja has explained why he thinks Trainwreck’s streaming platform Kick will be more successful than Mixer. Back in 2020, Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins career was met with uncertainty after Mixer abruptly shut down. The streamer announced his move to Twitch shortly after, however. With the increased popularity of Trainwreck’s streaming platform Kick, Ninja has voiced his opinion about how viable he thinks the platform will be. During a stream on April 5 with his brother, he explained why he thinks Kick will be more successful than Mixer was before its closing. Ninja explains why Kick is better than Mixer During the broadcast, Ninja’s brother ‘BeardedBlevins’ asked why Ninja thinks Kick can succeed and Mixer did not before mentioning the amount of money both platforms have at their disposal. Kick is backed by Stake, while Mixer was owned by Microsoft. “The issue with Mixer compared to Kick is that it took too long to get things done (on Mixer),” he said. “There was like 80 different billion people that had to reach out to somebody else, who had to reach out to somebody else, etc. to get confirmation to change anything.” He went on to explain that his moderators spent an abundance of time in talks with Mixer employees in an attempt to make improvements to the platform but found it hard to actually get things done. So far, Kick’s support staff and employees have been complimented by creators around the world, with many getting ahold of them quickly for name changes and verification requests. You can make a life-changing amount of money streaming on the platform as well, largely thanks it its 95/5 sub-revenue split. Ninja explains why he doesn’t care about his Mixer viewership numbers – Dexerto
Ninja explains why he doesn’t care about his Mixer viewership numbers Mixer star Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins responded to those in his chat talking about his viewership numbers, and explained why he doesn’t care about statistics since moving to the Microsoft-owned streaming platform. Ninja sent shockwaves through industry when he announced he was leaving Twitch to sign exclusively to Microsoft’s platform – a move that inspired other personalities to make the same switch. However, fresh off reports that Michael ‘shroud’ Grzesiek has lost a substantial amount of viewers since also joining Mixer, the Fortnite star has now weighed in on what he thinks about his own viewership numbers. Ninja explains why Mixer viewership numbers don’t bother him The popular streamer’s chat caught his attention in the middle of a broadcast, as some were discussing his viewership numbers on Mixer compared to when he was on Twitch. Ninja addressed them directly, and said, “Listen, I need you to understand something. I’m reading a couple of the comments, I can only assume you are talking about my viewers.” He then stated, “I don’t think you guys understand how little I give a f**k. Okay? How little viewers mean to me right now on Mixer.” After setting the record straight on how he feels about the topic, the streamer opened up to his audience and explained why viewership numbers no longer worry him. “I enjoy what I do, man. And guess what? I get to do it. Without having to worry about my sub count. Or playing ads, or ad revenue. I can take vacation, I can take time off. I’m comfortable.” The streaming legend then launched into his critics. “I’m focusing on content now. If you guys aren’t enjoying my streams, then you can leave. I can promise you, my streams are 10 times better than when they were on Twitch.” (Timestamp 10:15 for mobile users.) Despite some viewers focusing on his streaming numbers, Ninja didn’t seem fazed by the comments at all. And given the lucrative deal he made with Microsoft, who could blame him. Back in November, fellow Mixer streamer shroud echoed a similar sentiment, saying, “I don’t have to sit there and stress that “oh sh*t my viewers went down.””

Ninja Explains Why He Doesn’t Play With Female Gamers – Dexerto
Ninja Explains Why He Doesn’t Play With Female Gamers L: Reach HigherThe top Twitch streamer, Tyler “Ninja” Blevins has given his reasons explaining why he doesn’t play alongside female gamers and streamers. As the most popular live streamer on Twitch, Ninja has his every move scrutinized by millions of fans and haters alike, so his decision to not game with females has sparked debate amongst the community. Speaking to Polygon at the Samsung Unpacked event in New York, Ninja laid out exactly why he has made the very deliberate decision, a move to protect his wife and manager, Jessica “JGhosty” Blevins. He explained that it is the only way to avoid internet trolls spinning false rumors and gossip about Ninja and other women, particularly on a platform where women are already treated (by some) differently than male streamers. “If I have one conversation with one female streamer where we’re playing with one another, and even if there’s a hint of flirting, that is going to be taken and going to be put on every single video and be clickbait forever.” Ninja said that it was entirely his own decision not to stream with women, and wasn’t his wife’s instruction. “That was not even her. She had nothing to do with it. That was me being, ‘I love our relationship,’ and, ‘No — I’m not even gonna put you through that.’” One of the most well known cases of this has been the speculation around two popular Fortnite streamers Ali “Myth” Kabbani and Imane “Pokimane” Anys, who often play together. This is exactly the kind of speculation which Ninja is trying to avoid his wife going through, and given his massive audience, the rumors, speculation and ‘clickbait’ would be exponentially worse for Ninja and JGhosty than for most. “The only way to avoid that [gossip] is to not play with them at all.” So there you have it, Ninja avoids streaming and playing with other female gamers to get away from the constant rumor mill that often rears its ugly head caused by even the slightest interaction between a male and female streamer. Ninja explains why he hasn’t streamed during Fortnite’s The End event – Dexerto
Ninja explains why he hasn’t streamed during Fortnite’s The End event Ninja, Twitter / Epic GamesFortnite’s massive The End event, despite the planned outage being one of the biggest moments in the game’s history. In one of the biggest moves Fortnite has ever seen, Epic Games made the bold call to literally wipe the battle royale’s map from existence to close out Season 10, before taking the game offline and going dark on social media. The storyline is expected to lead into the leaked Chapter 2 coming sometime this month, and has left millions of players and hundreds of big-name streamers starring at a livestream of a black hole. All, that is, except one of Fortnite’s biggest name. Ninja’s conspicuous absence from the Fortnite hysteria left many wondering if Epic had provided the Mixer megastar with a little tipoff ahead of time, potentially so save him joining the rest of the Fortnite community in some black hole-gazing. According to Blevins, however, there’s not some grand conspiracy surrounding his two-day planned disappearance from streaming. Instead, the superstar streamer revealed, it was simply poor — or rather incredibly lucky — timing around a trip to Green Bay. “Lots of people are wondering why I’m not streaming today, why I’m not streaming tomorrow, that there’s this rigged conspiracy that I know what’s going on,” he explained on social media. “I don’t, I don’t. It was incredibly all unplanned, and I’m actually super lucky. I’m taking my brother-in-law and my in-laws to the Lions vs Packers game, sweet tickets, private jet out, and field access, just to show some love to my family. “That is why I’m not live, that is why I’m not streaming today or tomorrow, so thank the Fortnite gods on that one!” he added with a laugh and a gesture to the heavens. Why I didn’t stream today and won’t be live tomorrow… pic.twitter.com/nNvdGFFIK4 — Ninja (@Ninja) October 13, 2019 While Ninja may be preparing to watch some NFL action on Monday evening, he did take some time to potentially tease when Epic will be bringing Fortnite back online. The streamer promised to drop a tiny slice of information for the battle royale fans if one of his Twitter posts hit more than 250,000 likes. In an testament to how ravenous Fortnite fans are for any kind of news right now, the post took less than 60 minutes to hit the milestone. Read more: What do the Visitor tapes mean in Fortnite? – A man of his word, Ninja released a short clip with a single spoken word: “Tacos.” Hundreds took to the comments to immediately offer up their prediction for what it meant, with many believing Ninja’s cryptic comment was referring to the popular custom ‘Taco Tuesday,’ meaning the battle royale could return on October 15. Just to add to the confusion, however, Ninja quickly followed up the ‘tacos hint’ with another message that threw Fortnite fans into further confusion. “Or is it Minecraft Monday??? I don’t remember honestly. GOODNIGHT TWITTER MUAH MUAH. Ps: I love Fortnite,” he wrote, along with an embedded GIF of the notorious moment he danced in front of a New Year’s Eve crowd that wasn’t interested in playing along. Or is it Minecraft Monday??? I don’t remember honestly. GOODNIGHT TWITTER MUAH MUAH > Ps: I love Fortnite pic.twitter.com/njlAv1xLsn — Ninja (@Ninja) October 14, 2019 Whether or not Blevins’ hints are true, it’s certainly helping build the hype that Epic would have been hoping for around the end of Season 10, and beginning of Season 11/Chapter 2. Unfortunately for most fans, they don’t have a Lions-Packers game to pass the time, and may be stuck watching the black hole for a few hours longer at least.

Ninja reveals the biggest benefit of leaving Twitch to join Mixer Mixer: NinjaStreaming superstar Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins discussed his jump from Twitch to Mixer on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on September 18, highlighting the positive impact the move has already had on his career. Marking his third appearance on the popular chat show with Jimmy Fallon, Ninja’s most recent visit touched on all manner of subjects pertaining to the video game industry. From his stance on whether video games contribute to violent behavior, to just how sociable a hobby it can be. One notable topic that Fallon raised throughout the conversation was Ninja’s recent transition from Twitch to the Microsoft owned, Mixer streaming platform. In the September 18 episode, Fallon kicks off the discussion by asking “why the switch, and do you like it? What’s happening?” Read more: Ninja hilariously roasts xQc – Immediately responding with praise for his new streaming home, Ninja expressed that “I absolutely love it, man. I’ve already had a lot of incredible opportunities switching over to Mixer.” Going into more detail as to what specific benefits have accompanied the transition, Ninja mentioned that “recently, Gears of War 5 came out and I was able to get that game a little early and stream the campaign.” “When it comes to actually getting early access to video games and being able to stream games for other people, it’s really good as an influencer.” Closing out the topic of conversation, the record-breaking streamer alluded to some upcoming opportunities through Mixer, stating that “there’s a lot of big things that are in the works with other big, massive gaming companies. “I want to try to obviously get a little bit more involved in maybe the release and possibly teasing things, and pushing out a lot of that early access information.” One of the biggest gaming companies under Microsoft ownership happens to be 343 Industries, developers of the upcoming Halo Infinite. A franchise that Ninja used to dedicate all of his efforts to as a professional player. The new partnership could see Ninja involved heavily in the promotion of the future release, similar to the aforementioned exclusive Gears 5 Mixer stream.

Ninja explains why he wants to be known as the world’s “greatest gamer” – Dexerto
Ninja explains why he wants to be known as the world’s “greatest gamer” Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins is already considered one of the biggest streaming stars in the world, but the blue-haired face of Mixer says he wants to go further and cement his lasting legacy as “one of the greatest gamers of all time.” There’s no denying that Ninja has already become one of the biggest faces of gaming, from his collaborations with global megastars like Drake, a series of books and comics, and movie cameos alongside Hollywood’s finest. But the 28-year-old has his eyes set on an even bigger prize—one that would cement him as one of the biggest gamers of all time. He wants to become a living icon, like David Beckham in the UK, or action superstar Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson. “I want to get so big that no one can talk sh*t anymore,” Blevins said on the True Geordie podcast, and admitted he often fantasizes about “being untouchable” by people who attack or flame him online, and belittle his achievements. “No one is making sh*t videos about David Beckham, I want to get to that level. I want to hit The Rock level. The dude could sh*t on the street and people would clap. He’s untouchable in the greatest way, he’s just the best person.” That’s not to say the streaming star who forged a dynasty on Epic’s Fortnite Battle Royale title isn’t already well on his way. He’s got the movie deals, the books, the merchandise, and he just made millions switching to Microsoft’s Mixer. “Once we were into six months of blowing up, averaging more than 100,000 viewers every single day, we saw Fortnite start to slowly decline, and we knew it would, I was like ‘Okay we have to solidify me as a gamer and streamer’,” he said. “I realized I wanted to be more cartoony, more of a character, and we’re doing a lot of that to reach that goal. That is the goal, to become a symbol and an icon. “I want to be remembered as one of the greatest gamers of all time, if not the greatest. That might not happen though, because again, we don’t really know what makes the best. Competitive, gamer, streamer, where will the best come from?” While he may still be vying for a chance to be “gaming’s Pele, the original goat,” as True Geordie host Brian Davis said, Ninja has already built a lasting legacy for himself, even if he’s still fighting to make gaming part of mainstream society. In fact, Ninja is so popular after breaking out as Fortnite’s leading name following his switch from PUBG that he’s felt his career’s narrative change around him from a well-liked rising star, to the man on the throne everyone wants to beat. “I’ve witnessed going from the underdog, going from this guy who was coming up on Fortnite and getting love from everyone, and getting solid love for a year, just compliments, and then seeing it change,” the Mixer star said. For mobile readers, the video’s related segment begins at 30:42. Blevins added that it was hard to accept people’s views had turned against him as they looked to cut down the tallest poppy, especially considering he had built his success off a personality, rather than esports and competitive success. “The comedown from that high in the last year, where everything has become more jaded, and I have to SMD (share my drink) to get one compliment, [it’s big],” he said. “It sucks man, because it’s not like I’m a LeBron, or a Michael Jordan, because I’m not trying to hold my title as the number one [pro] gamer. It’s not like I dominated the esports scene for seven years, I was just the most popular Fortnite gamer.” There’s no chance the negativity, and those vying to take his gaming crown around from him, will ever stop Ninja though. In his eyes, he’s still growing as an entertainer, and a gamer, and he’s loving every minute of his career. “I want to do everything and anything, I’m already in movies, I think I’m in one, maybe even two,” he said, before adding he knows exactly how he feels about his gaming roots: “I’ll never fully leave gaming. I’ll be playing games until I die.”

Ninja has perfect response after Lady Gaga’s roast “career-ended” him – Dexerto
Ninja has perfect response after Lady Gaga’s roast “career-ended” him Mixer: Ninja / Instagram: @ladygagaMixer star Tyler ‘Ninja‘ Blevins was shocked when singer Lady Gaga revealed that she didn’t know who he was, and he jokingly explained why this revelation “career-ended” him. Pop star and actress Lady Gaga sent social media into a frenzy on October 15, when she asked her 75 million followers on Twitter what the popular first-person shooter Fortnite is. While Ninja offered to teach her everything there is about the battle royale title, the Mixer star was surprised when the pop icon didn’t even know who he was, and he had the perfect response. After Lady Gaga’s tweet about Fortnite went viral, Ninja cheekily replied to her using the titles from her songs to offer teaching her about the game by teaming up with the music star. However on October 16, the singer responded to him by tweeting “Ninja, who are you?” which quickly caught the attention of the Fortnite streamer. Ninja reacted to the tweet while in the middle of streaming with Timothy ‘TimTheTatman’ Betar and told his friend: “Well… I just got career-ended by Lady Gaga, dude. She just tweeted at me and goes “Who are you?”” The Fortnite pro then joked that she must be living under a rock and exclaimed: “How do you not know?!” He then asked his group if the singer had children, and when they responded no, he said “Now I know why!”, referencing that a large portion of his fans are younger. The Mixer star eventually decided on what he was going to say to the singer, responding to her tweet with a simple “Ask Drake.” The streaming giant was referencing the time when him and rapper Drake streamed Fortnite together on Twitch which broke records with over 628,000 viewers on his broadcast. It all seems to be in good fun though, as Ninja later opened up to his audience during his Mixer stream about the positivity of the singer tweeting at him. “This whole Lady Gaga situation just solidifies the Ninja redemption arc!” Read More: Streamer mortified after dog pees on his bed – When his friend asked him what he meant, the Fortnite streamer replied “I’ve been on a redemption arc for the last year” – a reference to his game-changing deal with Mixer, and his focus on reconnecting with fans. It remains to be seen if Ninja and Lady Gaga will collaborate, but it wouldn’t be too far fetched given the Mixer star has teamed up with celebrities in the past. Getting tagged on Twitter by one of the most popular singers only further solidifies his position as the biggest streamer, and certainly seems like the redemption that he was looking for.

Ninja explains what Mixer needs from him in order to succeed – Dexerto
Ninja explains what Mixer needs from him in order to succeed Ninja / MixerFresh off his two-day break, former Twitch star Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins took time to address his audience, where he outlined his future strategy for Mixer and what the streaming platform needs from him to succeed. Ninja turned the streaming world upside down after leaving Twitch exclusively to join its competitor Mixer on August 1. The deal left fans wondering what the future direction for his new channel would be on the platform. After taking a short break to spend time with family, Ninja returned to Mixer this Sunday August 18. Early on in the stream, the Fortnite star opened up to his audience to discuss business, and explain what the streaming platform needs from him to succeed. Ninja is staying on brand The Fortnite streamer reaffirmed that the most popular game for him right now is still the popular battle royale. “Right now the hot game right now for me, and it’s been for the last year and a half to two years, is Fortnite,” he said. Read More: NICKMERCS hilariously impersonates Mongraal – Ninja explained how it wouldn’t make sense to mix up the games he plays so soon after moving to a new platform. “Let’s look at it from a smart business standpoint. I switch over to a new stream, a new platform, I’m on Mixer now, the last thing I want to do early on right during my switch is start mixing up what I play and play other games other than Fortnite.” The American streamer explained how playing games outside the battle royale genre would be too drastic of a change to his brand, and that his goal is bring over as many of his Twitch followers as he can. “I want to bring over as many people as possible to Mixer, you know what I mean? Let’s say first weekend I’m playing, games that aren’t even battle royales. I’m playing Final Fantasy, and all these other games. It’s like okay. Ninja switches platform, and now he’s going to play what he wants? So he doesn’t play Fortnite anymore?” He told his audience that he wants Mixer to succeed, and that in order to do that, he has to stay on brand at least during his beginning transition to the new streaming platform. “I want Mixer to succeed, tenfold. I’m going to be bringing as much as my Fortnite audience and my fans over as possible. I’m going to play Fortnite for a while,” Ninja said. The Fortnite star clarified that he plans to play other games within the genre so that it’s not just Fortnite, but to not expect him to be playing other genres anytime soon. “Obviously I will play other battle royales. I’ll play PUBG a little bit. I’m gonna dabble in other games like that. But don’t expect me… I’m not going to be dabbling in other games for awhile.” Fans who want to see Ninja stream other content shouldn’t worry too much, as the Mixer star said that he eventually wants to open up his channel to other games and genres. “I want to, but right now my wants are not as important as the needs and the reality.” Ninja’s Mixer move has been very successful so far, and he currently has over 1.7 million subs as of the writing of this article.

Ninja explains why his parents initially reacted poorly to MLG and esports – Dexerto
Ninja explains why his parents initially reacted poorly to MLG and esports The Daily Show with Trevor NoahTyler ‘Ninja‘ Blevins may have helped bring gaming into the mainstream, but his parents still had strong reservations before his first tournament. In an appearance on The Daily Show with Trevor Noah, Ninja talked a bit about his rise in the streaming world and how gaming has come a long way, while also plugging his new book. Gearing up for his first tournament with Major League Gaming, Ninja explained that his mom had some worries about the company running things. “Fun fact, my mom actually made my dad come with to my first tournament,” he started at the 1:05 mark in the interview. “She thought, it was Major League Gaming, MLG, she thought that it was a fake company of old people who lured kids to molest them. This is well before gaming was the juggernaut it’s known as today so it’s not that strange to hear about a parent being wary about what’s going on. This isn’t the first time Ninja has talked about how the discussion around tournaments has changed either. In August, he explained that young esports pros have it “so good” now because you can compete from the comfort of your own home without having to explain why your parents need to pay for your flight or hotel, and other travel expenses. There’s no doubt that everything is a lot more accessible now and it has made it easier for younger players to get involved in the scene. Epic only required players had to be 14 to compete in Fortnite World Cup, as an example. This would have certainly come in handy for Ninja back when he got into gaming so his mom wouldn’t have had to worry about him getting molested at a tournament. Of course, everything turned out fine and he went on to have a lucrative career in gaming, culminating with becoming arguably the world’s most popular gamer.

Ninja explains how streaming on Mixer makes him feel “like a little kid again” – Dexerto
Ninja explains how streaming on Mixer makes him feel “like a little kid again” Ninja – TwitterTyler ‘Ninja‘ Blevins made the move from Twitch to Mixer for all of his livestreams and has now opened up about how the decision has made him feel like a kid again. Ninja’s surprise move to Mixer shocked the gaming world but it seems like there’s a whole lot more to the switch than what meets the eye. Many people are focused on what he may or may not have been paid by Microsoft to cross over to their platform, although it looks like it was an important move to himself as well. “It wasn’t easy to be like ‘Hey, let me leave this platform I’ve been streaming on for eight, nine years and start fresh,’” he explained during a livestream. “And being like the biggest streamer and moving, imagine not being the number one streamer and making that decision.” Ninja had over 14 million followers on Twitch when he decided to sign an exclusive deal with their rival platform, which was easily the highest at the time. With the switch, the former Halo player has said he would like to see other streamers follow in his footsteps, while also explaining how he feels like a little kid again. “I would love for more people to follow, I think that everyone would enjoy this platform,” he said. “Dude, I literally feel like a kid again man. I feel like a little 5-year-old streaming for the first time. That’s how I feel after switching over to Mixer and I love it.” It’s no surprise that Twitch chat can be toxic at times, and it has taken its toll on Ninja over the years, especially after he blew up in the mainstream. Read More: Halo pro’s switch has been so well received there. It also doesn’t hurt that the first two months Ninja is on Mixer it is free to subscribe to his channel. Mixer subscriptions normally cost $5.99 a pop, so two months free is definitely a good deal that shouldn’t be passed up if you plan on watching him. –

Ninja explains why esports will eventually be in the Olympics – Dexerto
Ninja explains why esports will eventually be in the Olympics Mixer: Ninja / Unsplash / Epic GamesWhile on his promotional tour for his new book ‘Get Good’, Mixer star Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins was asked by paparazzi outlet TMZ about his thoughts on esports becoming an Olympic competition. Ninja is having one hell of a year with his lucrative deal with Mixer which saw the Fortnite titan shaking up the industry by leaving Twitch for its Microsoft owned competitor. He also released his book Get Good on August 20, which quickly became a bestseller. But while promoting his novel in New York, the popular streaming personality was asked by TMZ about the hurdles esports faces in becoming an Olympic sport, and his reply was interesting. Esports becoming an Olympic competition While walking around New York City, Ninja was stopped by paparazzi who asked him his thoughts on esports and the Olympics. “What’s it going to take get esports into the Olympics? The 2024 games is being considered as a demonstrative sport. What do you think it’s going to take to get esports as like an official Olympic sports?” the cameraman said. The Fortite pro replied insightfully and said, “For me I think it’s just going to be time. I think that obviously the younger generation who enjoys esports, and enjoys watching video games, eventually that’s what they are going to want. And that’s what the TV people will obviously want to show and represent, so just give it a little bit of time and esports will be there.” The paparazzi then brought up the fact that sports like skateboarding were around a long time before it was finally added to the Olympics, and asked if esports would take that long or if it could be added by 2020 due to its popularity. “I wouldn’t put that out of the question. I think in general it’s all about the numbers. How many people are doing it, and how many people are watching it. So yeah,” the 28-year-old replied. When asked which country would “dominate in the inevitable esports olympics”, the streaming star quickly said South Korea and Japan before adding, “Brazil for Counter Strike. Depends which games are going to be in, we don’t know yet, so we will figure it out.” His thoughts on Minecraft vs Fortnite The cameraman managed to squeeze one last question in and asked the Mixer star what the next big game will be that replaces Fortnite, citing Minecraft’s explosion in popularity. “Minecraft is massive!” the streamer agreed. “Minecraft has always been the biggest game ever. But I think Fortnite has had the craziest explosion ever. And there aren’t going to be many games that will be able to do what Fortnite did in the short amount of time that it did.” With the recent Fortnite World Cup seeing millions of viewers tuning in to see Bugha take 30 the million dollar prize, and esports being projected to make $1 billion a year by the end of 2019, the livestreaming superstar might be right that it’s only a matter of time before esports gets added to the global competition. As of the time of this article, Ninja has amassed over 2.2 million subscribers on his Mixer channel.

Ninja says it’s not his responsibility to teach his viewers about social issues – Dexerto
Ninja says it’s not his responsibility to teach his viewers about social issues YouTube: NinjaTyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins has called for parents to take an active role in fighting toxicity online, and explained why it’s so important — especially in a world that is using the internet more and more every day. Ninja knows better than most the highs and lows of online stardom. Having risen to prominence as one of Twitch’s most-viewed personalities, the broadcaster-turned-Fortnite aficionado moved to Mixer in a shocking turn of events, leaving his huge Twitch legacy behind him in the process. However, this unsurprisingly incited a wave of criticism against the gaming star, who was already well-aware of the behavior of young players during online matches. The online troll has even become a widespread stereotype — but Ninja believes that parents can help mitigate the oft-bemoaned state of online toxicity. During a January 24 interview with the New York Times’ David Marchese, Ninja stated that the parents of young gamers can play a huge role in changing the environment of internet culture for the positive. “People are behind the screen,” Ninja explained. “They say what they want and can get away with it. You have complete anonymity… it sucks that there are kids who can say racist things and be incredibly aggressive and threatening to women online and have zero repercussions.” “It all comes down to parenting,” he continued. “You want to know who your kid is? Listen to him when he’s playing video games when he thinks you’re not.” Ninja went on to discuss racism, noting the all-too-common occurrence of racial slurs being slung in online gaming matches — something that can even get Twitch streamers banned, if said during their broadcasts. “Is it my job to have this conversation with this kid? No, because the first thing that’s going on in my head is, ‘This kid is doing this on purpose to troll me.’ If someone says a racial slur on someone else’s stream, it can potentially get that streamer banned. It’s awful, but that’s the first thing I think of.” “It is not my job” – Ninja Responding to criticism on Twitter, Ninja argued “It is not my job to sit down and make a video with all of my audiences and do a lesson on civil right and how not to be a racist. “I show that I am a good person through my actions and how I treat people and those around me, every. Single. Day.” It is not my job to sit down and make a video with all of my audiences and do a lesson on civil rights and how to not be a racist. I show that I am a good person through my actions and how I treat people and those around me, every. Single. Day. — Ninja (@Ninja) January 26, 2021 Jessica Blevins responds to backlash Ninja’s comments have unsurprisingly sparked debate on social media, and his wife and manager Jessica Blevins has spoken out in defense of her husband. “If ANY of these people tweeting actually watched Ninja stream, they’d know how many times he’s spoken out about issues of racism, white privilege, and having zero tolerance for racism in his games or channel.” If ANY of these people tweeting actually watched Ninja stream, they’d know how many times he’s spoken out about issues of racism, white privilege, and having zero tolerance for racism in his games or channel. He DOES his part. He just isn’t holding a seminar on the topic. https://t.co/5ah5beXNDu — Jessica Blevins (@JessicaBlevins) January 26, 2021 “He does his part. He just isn’t holding a seminar on the topic,” Blevins concluded. Ninja’s conversation on toxicity isn’t out of the blue; studies report online harassment and cyberbullying has risen 70% amid the ongoing health crisis. While it’s impossible to monitor everything your child does online, Ninja’s interview does raise an interesting topic of conversation as the world turns to the internet while traveling and gatherings are out of the question.

Ninja, Dream, MrBeast, more react to Elon Musk’s purchasing Twitter – Dexerto
Ninja, Dream, MrBeast, more react to Elon Musk’s purchasing Twitter Elon Musk, TwitterIn a historic turn of events, another public media company has been purchased by a billionaire. Elon Musk now owns Twitter in a $44 billion dollar buyout, and influencers have a lot to say about it. Elon Musk is now the sole owner of Twitter, this is following on from a rocky week where he purchased part of the company, joined the board, was kicked from the board, and then decided to go all in. Paying a premium rate for shares at $54.20 a pop, Musk went into overdrive to pressure the company into folding to his wishes. Sharing a statement on Twitter, Musk said “Free speech is the bedrock of a functioning democracy, and Twitter is the digital town square where matters vital to the future of humanity are debated.” He continued his statement with a declaration for what he wants to achieve in Twitter’s future. “I also want to make Twitter better than ever by enhancing the product with new features, making the algorithms open source to increase trust, defeating the spam bots, and authenticating all humans.” This attracted mammoth amounts of attention from huge names in entertainment and content creation, like Dream, TimtheTatman, Ninja, and plenty more. Here’s what they had to say about it: Elon Musk is set to acquire Twitter where he will entirely own the company pic.twitter.com/AJ9qt0DKZP — Dexerto (@Dexerto) April 25, 2022 Masked Minecraft YouTuber Dream made light fun of the hugely expensive purchase. Pointing out that the app is “Literally free.” Before describing Elon as “an idiot.” Elon Musk bought Twitter when it’s literally free 🤣🤣😂😂🤣😝😝 what an idiot — Dream (@Dream) April 25, 2022 Meanwhile, Irish variety streamer JackSepticEye was hoping to use the chance of Elon buying the social media giant as an opportunity to finally break free from a playful relationship with the Minecraft community for “ratioing” him. Now that Elon bought twitter, can he get minecrafters to stop ratioing me? — Jacksepticeye (@Jacksepticeye) April 25, 2022 Ninja, never shy of making a splash, looked back on “buying that kids bank” before looking up to Elon’s ability to flex. I thought buying that kids bank and foreclosing his house was a flex 😭😭 I got a lot to learn. https://t.co/692NEbVDTF — Ninja (@Ninja) April 25, 2022 Keeping his cards close to his chest, and making it clear he’s as much of a spectator in this series of events as the rest of us, MrBeast said that the proceedings were simply “interesting”. He followed his statement with a popcorn emoji, clearly entertained by the latest move from one of his biggest inspirations. Timthetatman even took the time to shoot his shot, congratulating Elon on the purchase before asking to run Overwatch 2 duos. Elon is yet to take him up on the offer, despite Musk’s previous engagement with the Overwatch community. @elonmusk yo bro congrats on buying twitter- more importantly tho OW2 is coming soon wanna run some duos? — timthetatman👑 (@timthetatman) April 25, 2022 More than just influencers, however, everyone on Twitter had opinions on the news. With some members of the general public being far from stoked with the purchase, feeling that Elon could be doing vastly different things with his money. Throwing back to a time where he made a hollow promise to end world hunger. Friendly reminder that Elon Musk told the UN that if they gave him a budgeted breakdown of how $6Bil could end world hunger, he would do it. They gave him the budget and then he decided not to do it, and instead decided he would buy Twitter for $45Bil. https://t.co/CtRW8OJJVH — Evelyn, your One-Eyed Trans Crush 🏳️⚧️💕 (@CaptAmazo) April 25, 2022 The long term effects on Twitter are impossible to know, but it’s guaranteed to cause a huge shake up for the platform. While some have left the platform in protest, Musk addressed the backlash against him by saying “I hope that even my worst critics remain on Twitter, because that is what free speech means”.

Pete addressed his ban in a humorous YouTube video, where he revealed that Fiverr hadn’t even refunded pending orders for his services. Instead, the site limited the funds for use on Fiverr, alone. Pete is now looking for ways to expand his opportunities in the wake of his ban, and will even start his own Twitch channel, where he will play Ninja’s game of choice: Fortnite. Pete has since ceded to Ninja’s request, and created an ‘epic’ video to help advertise the streamer’s channel. I’m going to sit here in my chair and cry for a little bit.” As Z Event continues to wrap up with one last day, they are likely to break the record for most money raised during a charity stream, showing that gamers and the streaming community can rally together and get behind great causes.

Ninja Doubles Down Against Those Who Want Him to Curse Again – Dexerto
Ninja Doubles Down Against Those Who Want Him to Curse Again Tyler “Ninja” Blevins was known to go off on a few expletive laden tirades in his earlier streaming days, but recently has switched and cleaned up his act. It takes just a quick search on YouTube to find Ninja swearing at opponents on previous games he played, but as his profile started to rise by playing Fortnite, he made the decision to cut out cursing entirely. During a stream on 1st July, Ninja double down on why there are no more curses to be found on his channel. “I want as many people to enjoy the stream as possible and I’ll I have to do is stop swearing? Sounds good to me. It is also the right thing to do. When I go into other streams and hear the f-bomb every other word in a sentence, it’s just, bleh.” Ninja has become the most popular streamer on Twitch with over 8.5 million followers, so his philosophy on cursing appears to be paying off. However there was a time when Ninja had no issues with cursing, even thinking it was the best way to grow a channel. “Raging and all that stuff, to me at the time, that was the funny thing to do.” More: Another Mysterious Portal Has Appeared in Fortnite and It’s Destroying the Motel Unfortunately, much like everyone’s favorite indie band that started to play on the radio, some long time fans are upset with the changes. “Just because I’ve done something to clean up my stream. Now people are like, “Oh, Ninjas changed”” More: Ninja Offers Words of Inspiration to ComedyShortsGamer After People Tell Him to Drop Out of Jake Paul Fight – “Let it fuel you” Those hoping Ninja goes back to swearing may be out of luck, but he still wants you in the stream. There will still be rages for you to enjoy, they will just be a little cleaner. “I still rage. Swearing doesn’t make someone a person.”

Ninja “disgusted” after Twitch promotes adult content on his old channel – Dexerto
Ninja “disgusted” after Twitch promotes adult content on his old channel Ninja, Twitter / PixabayIt’s no secret that former Twitch star Tyler “Ninja” Blevins has moved on to streaming platform Mixer, having left 14.7 million followers behind in the process – but now, he’s finally venting his frustration with his former home. Ninja posted a video to Twitter on August 11, claiming to be “disgusted” with Twitch for promoting other streamers on his old Twitch channel – with one such channel even featuring content inappropriate for minors. “As you guys know, I’m streaming on Mixer now,” Ninja began. “The team and I made sure the transition went completely smooth, super professional, haven’t said anything bad or negative about Twitch.” Disgusted and so sorry. Fortnite and Minecraft-themed adult content for over two hours as Twitch’s number one channel on August 11 without being taken down – a stream that was advertised on Ninja’s now defunct account. Ninja followed up his video post with another Tweet shortly thereafter, clarifying that the channel wouldn’t have been an issue if Twitch hadn’t used Ninja’s account to advertise other content. This wouldn’t even have been an issue if they didnt use my channel to promote others in the first place… — Ninja (@Ninja) August 11, 2019 “This wouldn’t even have been an issue if they didn’t use my channel to promote others in the first place,” Ninja wrote. Ninja isn’t the only streamer upset by this development, either: popular Fortnite streamer Valkyrae expressed similar disappointment with the platform, writing, “Twitch??? Seriously?” beneath Ninja’s post. While fans and critics alike have spoken out about Twitch’s treatment of one of their former top streamers for some time, it appears that Ninja himself has had enough of the scandal following his massive move to Mixer, and isn’t letting himself stay quiet any longer. That’s not all: according to alleged conversations with Drama Alert’s KEEMSTAR, Ninja’s lawyers are looking into the scandal, with KEEMSTAR himself predicting a forthcoming lawsuit against Twitch. (Timestamp: 8:33 for mobile viewers) Twitch has since reverted Ninja’s channel to represent its normal “offline” look, as confirmed by Ninja in a Tweet several hours later. “Twitch has now reverted my channel back to how an offline page should look,” he updated. “Thank you.” Twitch has now reverted my channel back to how an offline page should look. Thank you. — Ninja (@Ninja) August 11, 2019 Twitch has yet to make an official statement on the subject as of publishing this article.

Ninja disputes claims he quit Fortnite after Twitch stream sniping outrage – Dexerto
Ninja disputes claims he quit Fortnite after Twitch stream sniping outrage Instagram/NinjaTwitch superstar Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins is disputing claims he would quit playing Fortnite after media outlets reported he would be doing just that. Prior to Fortnite, Ninja was a renowned gamer who went pro in Halo 3 back in 2009. However, his popularity exploded with the release of Epic Games’ battle royale, where he quickly became one of the most popular streamers on Twitch. As such, Ninja’s success is often tied directly to Fortnite, with the two being somewhat synonymous with each other. However, on February 12, Blevins took to Twitter to debunk a report claiming that he was quitting the game that made him famous. This is completely false. Love Fortnite and will always play it to some capacity. https://t.co/DxNV0YTs5u — Ninja (@Ninja) February 12, 2021 According to Ninja, the report was “completely false,” adding that he “loves Fortnite” and will “always play it to some capacity.” While Blevins disputes the claim and seems willing to return to Fortnite, he did state in a February broadcast that he would not be playing the game again. As Dexerto previously reported, after dealing with constant stream snipers ruining his games, he flew into a fit of rage, vowing not to play the game henceforth. “You’re not proving anything by going into a f***ing game and running to someone, and when you know, they’re in a fight with somebody and f***ing killing them,” he said after being eliminated in his match. “This game is so f***ing stupid, bro,” Blevins sighed. “Like, the community, these little kids, it’s just so dumb. It really is. It’s not fun. It’s just not. And the thing is, these f**ing clout-chasing losers, they have no idea. All they’re doing is just harming the game because I’m not gonna f***ing play it. I’m not gonna stream it.” It seems now that Ninja misspoke in his moment of frustration having dealt with the stream snipers plaguing his games. It remains to be seen when he will return to Fortnite, but it’s good to know that he hasn’t given up fully on the battle royale. Hopefully, we end up seeing Ninja step back into the fray sooner rather than later.

Ninja denies drug addiction rumors that were sparked by “horrible” viral photo – Dexerto
Ninja denies drug addiction rumors that were sparked by “horrible” viral photo Twitch: NinjaTyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins has moved to deny claims he has a raging drug addiction, months after an on-stream image of the Twitch star looking “severely underweight” spread online like wildfire and sparked the rumors. On January 26, this publication ran an article on Ninja talking about parenting. While the story was as interesting as ever, the gaming world locked onto something else — the article’s top image, revealing the Twitch star’s most recent look. The internet immediately pointed in one direction: drug addiction. At the time, Ninja’s cheeks looked relatively gaunt, his iconic blue hair looks a silvery grey in videos uploaded during that month, and it was a far cry from how the Fortnite icon looked in years past, but a reasonable explanation likely lay behind the star’s shock on-stream transformation. Sure enough, it did: Ninja has come out shooting against those addiction rumors, revealing he was battling a “nasty” health condition that led to his gaunt look. Ninja addressed the addiction claims during a recent Twitch stream, making it very clear to his loyal fandom that he had never been involved in substance abuse during his long and fruitful streaming career. “That was a crazy, negative thing in my life,” he said. “People thought that I was addicted to crack. There were all these crazy rumors going around, ‘Ninja’s on meth!’ and that kind of thing, people were saying,” the star continued. “It made going on [social media] really pretty horrible.” Now Ninja has moved to quash the rumors completely. The streamer revealed it wasn’t actually anything drug-related, but instead was related to a bad bout of canker-sores that he was dealing with at the time. The mouth ulcers made anything food-related “awful” for the Twitch superstar, he explained, to the extent that he was barely eating. “For three weeks straight I had these cankers in my mouth, and they were bad. I couldn’t eat it hurt so much,” he said. “So I was just eating to not be hungry. That led to me severely undereating ‘cause it just hurt too much.” The Twitch star couldn’t help but add a joke too: “It’s the canker-sore diet! Easy to not eat when you’re just in searing pain whenever it happens.” This isn’t the first time this week that Ninja has stepped up to the plate to defend himself either. On October 19, the star hit back at claims he used his Mixer defection to “cash out” of the streaming life. The claims suggested he was phoning it in on Mixer. According to Ninja, that is the furthest thing from the truth: “I was streaming double the hours I was supposed to. It was like a 150-hour requirement, I think, for a month and I was doing 300, easy. I wanted to win. It wasn’t like I signed this big deal and cashed out, I was streaming double my requirements. “For six months straight I stuck to that,” the former king of Twitch continued, “and yet [Mixer] still didn’t work out. But don’t say it wasn’t for a lack of want.”

Ninja disappears off Twitter hours after “big things are coming” message – Dexerto
Ninja disappears off Twitter hours after “big things are coming” message Ninja / Twitter, InstagramStreaming superstar Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins has disappeared on Twitter, leaving fans puzzled after a mysterious tweet and ‘user not found’ on his profile. Ninja is one of the biggest names in gaming. With over 18M followers on Twitch, the 31-year-old streamer has made his mark in the industry. The superstar left fans completely baffled on September 1 with a very cryptic tweet stating he’ll be taking a break, and doesn’t know when he’ll be back or where. “I just need a break…I don’t know when I will be back, or where,” the popular streamer wrote. I just need a break…I don’t know when I will be back, or where — User Not Found (@Ninja) September 1, 2022 Shortly after, Ninja then removed his profile picture and updated his name on Twitter to ‘User Not Found’, leaving fans questioning where he’s gone. Making the situation even more bizarre, the streamer tweeted just two hours earlier that “big things” were coming, along with a link to his Twitch page. On August 25, Ninja revealed that a scheduled call with YouTube was canceled. It’s unclear what the call was for, or why it was canceled, but fans speculated that the star would be signing an exclusive deal with the Google-owned platform. YouTube call got cancelled and my internet is still out. It’s a beach day — User Not Found (@Ninja) August 26, 2022 Ninja returned to streaming on Twitch two years ago, just a year after signing a first-of-a-kind exclusive streaming deal with Mixer. Given the timeline, this could mean that Ninja’s contract with Twitch came to an end sometime in August 2022. Looking at the streamer’s page on Twitch, it also looks like he’s lost his partnership status, alluding that he may have left the platform. This story is currently being updated…

Ninja criticizes “toxic” streamers who guilt viewers for money – Dexerto
Ninja criticizes “toxic” streamers who guilt viewers for money Ninja, YouTubeLive streaming platforms give viewers a variety of ways to support their favorite broadcasters, be it by subscribing to their channel, gifting subs, or directly donating — but some streamers have high standards for their fans, as Ninja has pointed out. Although many streamers provide fans with certain incentives to subscribe or donate to their channels, some have lashed out at their audiences for not taking monetary action in support of their careers. One such streamer went viral in January, going by the handle ‘BadBunny,’ who received a wave of backlash online after lashing out at her viewers for not subscribing — but it’s not an isolated incident, as Mixer star Ninja pointed out in a March video. In a Twitter clip, Ninja directly addressed streamers who guilt-trip their viewers for not donating or subscribing, calling them “horribly toxic” and pointing out how fans help grow streamers’ channels by simply watching and recommending their broadcasts to friends. “…let’s say you have 700 viewers,” he explained. “200 are subbed. 500 aren’t. Those 500 viewers who aren’t subbed are following your channel, they might be telling your friends about your channel. They are active members of your chat. …they might be getting their friends to subscribe to your stream. Maybe they don’t have enough money.” The streamer continued by reminding such broadcasters to remain humble and remember that they all began without a subscribe button, relying on views alone to grow their channel to Affiliate status. “Basically saying that if you don’t donate or subscribe, you aren’t supporting the stream, and like F you, is just a terrible mindset,” he continued. “You’re gonna be doomed to fail because your viewers are where you started.” Second video I’ve seen about a streamer ripping their viewers for not subscribing or donating. A couple of words for streamers out there that don’t understand how important normal viewers are. pic.twitter.com/lF1TiqFwyI — Ninja (@Ninja) March 21, 2020 While Ninja finished his statement with a lighthearted joke about “ligma,” the streamer’s words certainly contain a grain of wisdom, echoed by other fans and streamers in the Tweet thread. His message also comes nearly a month after Call of Duty streamer “wingsofredemption” demanded even more money from his viewers to keep broadcasting, upping his original $10 per hour price point to $25. While still others make a joke of such demands, guilting viewers for money doesn’t seem to be an issue that will go away anytime soon, as live streaming sites continue to boom in popularity.

Ninja defends King Bach amid relentless social media trolling – Dexerto
Ninja defends King Bach amid relentless social media trolling Ninja, BachelorsPadTV – YouTubeFormer Vine star and actor Andrew ‘King Bach’ Bachelor woke up the morning of May 8 to find himself being “canceled” on Twitter — but found a surprising defense in Mixer streaming star Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins. Social media is a hive for so-called “cancel culture,” with a new “#xyzpersonisoverparty” trending seemingly every day on Twitter for various perceived wrongdoings — and sometimes, for no reason at all. King Bach has become one such personality affected by these “cancel parties,” with Twitter seemingly dubbing his former viral Vine content “unfunny,” among other accusations. https://twitter.com/MTBornnard/status/1258612108419268614?s=20 https://twitter.com/YouSee1t/status/1258496376339496960?s=20 King bach was never funny but you know who was Calebcity pic.twitter.com/0hxiY03Ljp— 🌙 bryant 🥭 tybw cour 3 when 🌙 (@yungmango_) May 8, 2020 Among the various memes clowning on the social media celeb was a reply to Bach’s Tweet on the subject, which succinctly described the collective outrage. “To be fair, we don’t hate you, just think you’re not funny,” the critic wrote. “That being said, you secured the bag, and we like to see black people win. We just tired of seeing you play the token black friend in teen movies when you look 34. So you gonna catch some Twitter slander here and there ??♂️ — Bryce (@GodFatherTTP) May 8, 2020 Bach himself was decidedly against criticism of his past work on Vine, as evidenced by a few not-so-subtle Tweets addressing the issue. “Me: Just minding my business,” the actor wrote. “Twitter: F**k King Bach.” However, the star was quickly defended by Fortnite star and celebrity streamer Ninja, who came to his aid with a call to action for Twitter users. “Wake up to find King Bach trending in a negative way for no reason,” he wrote. “People need to start focusing on themselves during this pandemic and not drooling over their keyboards for clicks because they are bored as s**t. Do something productive, work on yourself, and don’t hate success.” Wake up to find @KingBach trending in a negative way for no reason. People need to start focusing on themselves during this pandemic and not drooling over their keyboards for clicks because they are bored as shit. Do something productive, work on yourself, and don’t hate success. — Ninja (@Ninja) May 8, 2020 Ninja isn’t the only internet celeb to speak out on the subject, either; YouTube sensation King Vader also came to Bach’s defense, Tweeting, “King Bach is one of the hardest working creators out [here]… hating on his success is lame.” @KingBach is one of the hardest working creators out… hating on his success is lame . pic.twitter.com/k41uMHIvm0 — 🎬 (@kingvader) May 8, 2020 Although Bach also enlisted the help of YouTuber Logan Paul (to no avail, as of yet), it seems that the social media war against the former Viner is still raging on, adding yet another chapter to Twitter’s ever-growing list of “canceled” celebrities.

Ninja criticizes streamers who “hate” on games constantly – Dexerto
Ninja criticizes streamers who “hate” on games constantly Mixer streaming sensation, Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins, has called out content creators and influencers for shaming video games and supporting a “rage culture” alongside explaining why it needs to stop. The video games industry is booming and bigger than ever. However, that doesn’t stop plenty of people from far and wide critiquing their game, including some of the biggest personalities, such as influencers and content creators. While their efforts are often a plea for the developers behind said video game to fix an issue, the respective size of their platform (i.e., following) can amplify an issue tenfold. With that in-mind, Ninja has called for a more positive outlook when attempting to provide feedback on a video game. After a heated online engagement, Brett ‘dakotaz’ Hoffman hit out at Ninja after being called out by the Mixer star for criticizing Fortnite in a Tweet. Given that Blevins has been directed to ‘stay in his lane’ by Hoffman, the Mixer star has responded with a full-length Twitter video to “clear [his] opinions” on the statements which he has made “about people who are negative towards video games.” The 28-year-old opened by stating: “I don’t think that a lot of content creators, I don’t think a lot of influencers realize the power that they have and honestly, the influence that they have…” Please watch — Ninja (@Ninja) December 21, 2019 Regardless of the game in question, Ninja explained that there are “positive ways to go about expressing your opinion,” while drawing a comparison to how some influencers may utilize their platforms (such as Instagram or Twitter) to post their negative thoughts which could be taken out of context. “When you take the time to go out of your way to post on social media and without full context of really explaining what you don’t like about something. For example, just saying ‘oh, the game ‘effing’ sucks, Tweet it out… Boom, it’s only hurting you… It doesn’t help anyone.” Blevins then went on the imply that “nothing good happens” when negative comments are directed at a game that essentially supports their career, aside from potentially getting more interactions on their social media. “Since we live in a rage culture where everyone wants to hop on board negative sh*t, you just get a bunch of retweets and likes,” Ninja clarified. This comes as the Mixer streamer probed comments made by Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney, which hurled hate towards Fortnite — as Tenney labeled it a “dying” game. Ninja also gained the attention of Modern Warfare developers, following a Tweet that questioned the changes made to the fan-favored game mode, Gunfight. While influencers will likely continue to vent their frustrations regarding a specific issue in a game, Blevins will be hoping that his effort won’t be in vain, and that streamers will seek to use their platforms to spread positivity as opposed to hating on a video game.

Ninja disappointed after his Tfue YouTube video only gets 1m views in a day – Dexerto
Ninja disappointed after his Tfue YouTube video only gets 1m views in a day Tfue / Ninja TwitchTwitch streamer Tyler ‘Ninja‘ Blevins says he “doesn’t understand” YouTube after his video of him eliminating Turner ‘Tfue‘ Tenney in a game didn’t get as many views as expected. Ninja had expected his May 7 video entitled ‘Ninja gets revenge on Tfue‘ to rake in the views, given the appeal of both players and the ongoing battle the pair have for battle royale dominance. Luckily for the streamer, his paycheck doesn’t really rely on YouTube as much as it does for others who make videos full-time. However, his Tfue video still racked up over a million views in only 24 hours. Ninja had the perfect moment for a video, him eliminating Tfue – one of the few streamers who can rival his popularity – in a tournament setting. Fortnite Battle Royale, when TimTheTatman asked Ninja how his video did. “1.1 million, 24 hours,” he said. “I honestly don’t get YouTube anymore, it makes no sense. The thumbnail, title, everything was perfect, should’ve went off.” Other YouTuber’s question the ‘algorithm’ Some YouTuber’s believe that the issues lie with the faulty subscription system on the platform, which often doesn’t perform as intended, failing to notify subscribers of new uploads. A frequent critic of YouTube’s algorithm is DramaAlert host Daniel ‘KEEMSTAR’ Keem, highlighting the inconsistency with videos getting to subscribers. Based on the feed back from many different YouTubers now @TeamYouTube! YouTube is infact broken. Notifications are not working. And people are getting recommended videos that are two months to two years old. Youtubers are experiencing a 20% to 30% loss in views. — KEEM  (@KEEMSTAR) May 5, 2019 This could’ve been what happened to Ninja but without any official announcement from YouTube, it’s hard to tell what happened for certain. Sometimes you just fall victim to the process. –

Ninja cringes at “aggressive” Twitch stream clips from early career – Dexerto
Ninja cringes at “aggressive” Twitch stream clips from early career Mixer star Tyler ‘Ninja‘ Blevins watched older clips from when he first started streaming, and reacted to how “over-aggressive” he was, while also laughing at how much he’s grown. Ninja is without a doubt one of the biggest streamers in the world, if not the biggest – as the gaming star rose to prominence with his incredible Fortnite skills that attracted millions of viewers. He then turned the industry on its head, when he made the surprise announcement that he was leaving Twitch, and signed with Mixer exclusively for an unprecedented deal worth thousands. However, during his broadcast on the Microsoft-owned streaming platform on October 26, the Fortnite giant decided to watch a compilation of clips from throughout his career, and it left him surprised at how “aggressive” he could be, while also questioning what his younger self was thinking at the time. The streaming star was watching clips from his H1Z1 days when the video showed him losing it after being eliminated. As the younger version of himself became hysterical, he reacted to the clip by gritting his teeth. He then broke into laughter when he watched himself scream “f*ck this game!” “Oh my God!” Ninja exclaimed, groaning as he continued to watch his older videos. The Mixer star showed that he had a good sense of humor though as he recreated a reaction from another clip, and pretended to slam his hand on his desk, before standing up scream in rage – mirroring his older self. He watched another video where he got eliminated in the battle royale title, and while it at first seemed his younger self was just dishing out the usual trash talk, things then got intense when he ramped things up and exploded in rage. “This is a little intense,” Ninja stated, before continuing, “Guys, you know, H1Z1 was a much older audience. I was a little aggressive.” As he continued to watch older clips of him screaming, the Mixer star turned to his audience. “What was going in my head man? Oh my God!” he asked. “I don’t want to know what else I’ll find. Boy howdy guys, simpler times, man!” (Timestamp of 01:42 for mobile viewers.) The whole thing was in good fun though, and while Ninja took pause at some of his older clips, he seemed to embrace the fact that he’s come a long way from his older streams to becoming the industry-leading giant that he is now. While a guest on the ‘h3 podcast’ in April 2018, the streamer opened up about making an effort to make his streams more “family friendly.” “My goal is to make it like your classic Spongebob Squarepants, where like, the parents at home can get a dirty joke or something like that, but the kids are completely oblivious” he stated.

Ninja & Cloakzy reveal new details on Tfue’s “slave” Twitch contract – Dexerto
Ninja & Cloakzy reveal new details on Tfue’s “slave” Twitch contract Instagram: tfue / YouTube: NinjaStreaming stars Ninja and Cloakzy shed new light on the details of Tfue’s Twitch contract, saying the streamer was a “slave” to the site. Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney is well-known in the gaming space for his exploits in Fortnite, rising to online fame in the late 2010s. He’s also a top-tier streamer, currently standing as the seventh most-followed broadcaster on Twitch. In his heyday, Tfue commanded legions of loyal viewers… but he notably stepped back from streaming earlier this year. In June 2023, Tfue famously ‘retired’ from broadcasting, saying he “felt trapped” by the obligations of being a streamer. “I used gaming to escape from reality, and I feel like now I use reality to escape from work,” he said. Now, other top broadcasters are shedding light on the true nature of Tfue’s Twitch contract, claiming that the Fortnite star was under a boatload of pressure to meet eye-popping work hours. Ninja claims Tfue was a “slave” to Twitch contract During a broadcast in mid-November, Twitch stars Ninja and Cloakzy got together to play some Fortnite OG when they began discussing the topic of Tfue’s Twitch contract. Ninja claimed he thought Tfue was obligated to stream “200 – 300 hours” per month as outlined by his contract. “[Tfue] had a contract where he had to stream 200 hours a month,” Cloakzy said, seemingly making mention of Tfue’s retirement. “He’s enjoying life right now.” After a bit of back-and-forth, Ninja agreed with Cloakzy’s sentiment, saying, “I thought it was 250 – 300 hours. Yeah dude, Tfue was a slave to his contract, unfortunately.” To put these hours into perspective, that’s nearly the equivalent of working ten-hour days, seven days a week, every week for a month, without any days off. At the time of writing, Tfue is still staying silent on social media, with his most recent Twitch broadcast recorded seven months ago. It’s unclear if he’ll return to streaming sometime in the future, but for now, it looks like Tfue is focusing on himself after indefinitely stepping away from his career.

Ninja comments on backlash around Jake Paul’s potential Super Bowl commerical – Dexerto
Ninja comments on backlash around Jake Paul’s potential Super Bowl commerical Jake Paul, YouTube / Ninja, TwitchControversial YouTuber Jake Paul has received widespread criticism, after introducing a potential Super Bowl commercial for popular Twitch streamer Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins in the face of his rivalry with Fortnite pro ‘Tfue.’ Paul uploaded a video on January 24, admitting that he had created a short commercial for the 2019 Super Bowl – which he called “one of the worst Super Bowl commercials of all time.” While Paul has yet to send off the ad, it may never see the light of day; Paul claimed that he wouldn’t submit the commercial unless his video garnered over 500,000 likes, and, as of January 27, his video only has just over 69k likes. Paul’s video has since earned the criticism of viewers across the internet, with the likes of Drama Alert host Daniel ‘KEEMSTAR’ Keem calling the ad “extremely desperate” and “cringe.” “I feel bad for Ninja,” KEEM said of the debacle. “Jake Paul is forcing him to be in this CRINGE situation.” I feel bad for @Ninja. Freeking @jakepaul is forcing him to be in this CRINGE situation. — KEEM  (@KEEMSTAR) January 25, 2019 One commenter took issue with KEEM’s assessment of the ad, clapping back with, “Imagine if he had to watch Drama Alert.” “Who, Ninja?” KEEM replied. “He watches every video I upload.” Ninja popped in the conversation to confirm KEEMSTAR’s claims, Tweeting out a simple, “Correct,” in response. While Ninja has yet to make a broader statement in regards to Paul’s commercial, both he and Tfue have expressed respect for each other, with Tfue claiming that he has “nothing but good things to say about Ninja.”

Ninja claims SBMM “makes sense” amid Black Ops Cold War controversy – Dexerto
Ninja claims SBMM “makes sense” amid Black Ops Cold War controversy Ninja (Twitch)Streaming megastar, Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins, has given his two cents on the SBMM ordeal, claiming that it favors casuals more than higher level players. Skill-based matchmaking (SBMM) is a topic which emerges every once in a while and has the power to divide an entire community. On the one hand, players want to be pitted against equally skilled players, to keep the game more engaging. But on the other, some prefer playing casually, and would rather ‘pub-stomp’ during their gaming stint. And with players trying their hand at the Black Ops Cold War Alpha, the controversial debate surrounding SBMM has surfaced once again. Call of Duty pros have been vocal in their distaste for its inclusion, stating that it should be included in a dedicated ranked mode. This, for the most part, is the crux of Ninja’s argument. Blevins reckons that SBMM is necessary, but could be offset by incentivizing a ranked mode — therefore making players more inclined to play against people of an equal skill level. Ninja: Ranked could solve SBMM issues During a September 19 Tweet, Ninja gave his “hot take” on SBMM. To begin with, the former Halo pro stated that casuals would be the party benefiting the most from SBMM. “The people who are going to be benefiting from [SBMM], are the casuals — which is the majority of the population; the majority of the people playing the game.” On the other side of the coin, Ninja argues that its inclusion is arduous for content creators, whose ‘skill-ceiling’ limits their playing potential. According to Blevins, this is an issue because they end up being stuck within a group of equally skilled players and can no longer ‘pub-stomp’ — which isn’t favorable for the casual, who is on the receiving end of this. In terms of a potential solution, Ninja thinks developers should strive for a “balance,” with ranked potentially providing a way out. “An incredible ranking system that actually works and rewards people for playing it and being good at it, might deter those people from playing regulars and ‘norms’ and then sh*ting on a bunch of people and pub-stomping.” SBMM opinion. Not concrete but a hot take for sure. pic.twitter.com/zOkuTs7JdB — Ninja (@Ninja) September 19, 2020 Ninja went on to agree that he doesn’t necessarily think it’s a “good thing” but it “totally makes sense” since it benefits the average gamer, since it avoids being matched up with players at a much higher level. There’s so much more to be said about proper SBMM as well, so don’t assume this 2 min voice message covers all my opinions. — Ninja (@Ninja) September 19, 2020 A Treyarch developer has explained how SBMM is just one piece of the puzzle that represents online matchmaking, stating that there are many “tunable” parameters which impact how individuals are pitted against one another. While SBMM is present in almost all online games with a competitive component, Ninja’s concept of really honing in on rewarding players by playing a ranked mode might just be a step in the right direction towards settling the ongoing debate.

Ninja claps back at MrBeast after he announced League tournament – Dexerto
Ninja claps back at MrBeast after he announced League tournament Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins has lobbied several roasts at Jimmy ‘MrBeast’ Donaldson after the massive philanthropist and content creator threw shade at his League of Legends skill. On June 10, MrBeast tweeted that he may or may not be hosting a League of Legends tournament. Ninja celebrates major Twitch milestone after surpassing 17m followers – Dexerto
Ninja celebrates major Twitch milestone after surpassing 17m followers Ninja/TwitchTyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins has officially surpassed an insane amount of 17 million followers on Twitch, further securing his hold as the most followed streamer on the platform. Having started his career in 2011 while playing games like H1Z1 and PUBG, it wasn’t until 2017 that Ninja started to become a household name as he rose to fame during Fortnites surge in popularity. Since then, he has shown his fans that you can do anything you set your mind to as he built a business empire of licensed memorabilia and clothing that has been made available in stores all over the world. Blevins has also helped motivate hundreds of Twitch streamers as he was one of the first creators to partner with big-name brands and hit the mainstream. Ninja surpasses 17 million followers Even though Ninja has moved around streaming services over the years, he’s still maintained a crazy amount of followers on Twitch. Since his return back to his home platform, he’s rapidly grown his following by maintaining his spot as the most followed Twitch streamer. On November 4, 2021, the creator tweeted a video of his character laying on a number 17. Thank you to every single one of my fans, OFFICIALLY passed 17M followers on @Twitch 🍾 pic.twitter.com/2cibLsHSMn — Ninja (@Ninja) November 4, 2021 Ninja’s channel may not be dedicated to Fortnite anymore, but it’s definitely the game that helped him and many other creators reach never-before-seen views and follower counts. The former Halo pro has continued to play big-name titles to help keep his crown as the most-followed Twitch streamer. The creator’s channel may not have the same level of popularity on the platform, but with the business portfolio he’s built over the years it’s unlikely he really cares.

After a few games without fans, partnering up with NRG Fortnite pro player KingRichard, Ninja returned to finding people who knew who he was to get wins with. However, he couldn’t be prepared to be overrun with emotions after one fan recognized him. “Is that actually Ninja?” asked the fan, before being asked by the former Halo pro how he was doing. “I’m good, man. As a part of a trio, the pair secured a win in the new Battle Royale title, with the fan – known as shpoonsy – thankful for being able to play with the streamer and also securing the win with him. Before leaving the game, shpoonsy thanked Ninja, saying: “Hey, you’re a beast bro. I just want to let you know that I really respect you and I appreciate everything you do for the gaming community and the BR community and you’re an awesome dude,” before the pair bid their goodbyes to each other, leaving the streamer overcome with emotions. After leaving the game, Ninja had to stand up, taking his face off stream before walking out of shot for a few moments as his emotions had washed over him. Upon his return to the stream, Ninja stated: “What a nice guy, man. I don’t get a lot of those,” with plenty of emotion still visible in his body language. It’s genuine interactions with fans such as these that has helped propel Ninja up the Twitch popularity charts and into mainstream view.

Ninja calls out Tfue for leaking Mr Beast’s phone number – Dexerto
Ninja calls out Tfue for leaking Mr Beast’s phone number Tfue, Mr Beast , Ninja – YouTubeYouTube star Mr Beast held a star-studded rock-paper-scissors charity tournament, featuring some of the net’s biggest entertainers — but one of the contestants accidentally leaked his phone number during their own stream. Fortnite pro and Twitch streamer Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney took to Twitter as the tournament was underway to apologize to Mr Beast, writing, “I’m so sorry Mr Beast” As it turns out, Tfue had accidentally leaked the code to get into the competitors’ chat group — as well as Mr Beast’s private phone number, as evidenced by a series of screenshots taken by fast-fingered fans. Due to the serious leak of private information, fellow streaming star Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins spoke out on the matter, writing in a Tweet, “Dude Turner leaked the code to the private chat while he’s streaming.” Tfue then hit back at the Mixer broadcaster with a pointed Tweet of his own writing profanity towards Ninja This spurred a slew of replies from Ninja, who argued that Turner shouldn’t have been streaming the tournament at all as a means to direct his viewers toward Mr Beast’s broadcast, where they can directly donate to the charity fund. “We’re not supposed to be streaming this bro!” Ninja replied. “The 50k you have can be donated to the main stream where people can donate to the charity. …also would have prevented the leaks.” Tfue went on to call out Ninja in a heated rant on his own stream, claiming that the Mixer streamer was going to be more offended than Mr Beast, himself. https://twitter.com/Dexerto/status/1254183864102076417 Tournament competitor and content creator LAZARBEAM also chimed in on the issue, noting that there was spam in the private tournament chat that included a slew of racial slurs. Ninja’s wife and manager, Jessica Blevins, also spoke out on the issue, reiterating Ninja’s claim that Tfue was told not to stream the tournament so as to direct viewers toward the main broadcast. Somehow everyone was trying to blame this on @Ninja (per usual) which is why I’m saying something. — Jessica Blevins (@JessicaBlevins) April 25, 2020 Mr Beast’s charity then froze, with Mr Beast discovering the problem on-air. Technical difficulties are currently being reviewed as the crew looks to reboot the tournament. Tfue immediately expressed guilt at accidentally leaking the sensitive information, quickly shutting down his own stream shortly after the tournament broadcast froze. Before he ended his broadcast, Tfue clarified that he’d donated $10,000 after the slip-up, and encouraged his viewers to donate, too. “You guys should donate, as well, to Mr Beast’s stream, so I feel like I didn’t do anything other than mess the charity fundraiser up,” he stated. “So, that’d be sick.” Tfue donated $10,000 to @MrBeastYT’s charity stream. pic.twitter.com/if7iMRVLIE — Tfue’s Burner (@TfuesBurner) April 25, 2020 As the tournament progressed, Tfue finally addressed the matter, openly apologizing before he faced off with Pokimane and asking his fanbase to donate to the cause. Thankfully, Mr Beast took the slip-up in stride and clarified that he wasn’t upset with Tfue over the matter. “It’s fine, the viewers are almost back to what we had,” he replied. “It’s all for charity. No hard feelings.” Despite all the drama, it seems that Mr Beast’s stream is nearly back to its original viewership, already having raised over $374k (at the time of writing) and even seeing celebrity guests like Jack Black in the mix of internet superstars as they work together for a good cause.

Ninja catches CouRage mocking his subscribers in Sea of Thieves – Dexerto
Ninja catches CouRage mocking his subscribers in Sea of Thieves Jack ‘CouRage’ Dunlop was hilariously caught red-handed by Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins, after taunting his subscribers while playing Sea of Thieves. CouRage, who can more regularly be seen streaming Fortnite, decided to try his hand in the world of pirates and skeletons in an attempt to steal other people’s treasures. However, it didn’t take long for the popular streamer to start fooling around with other players and one of his jokes involving Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins provoked a brilliant reaction from his friend. Teaming with TimTheTatMan, CouRage hopped aboard an enemy sloop, chased down a member of the crew and started to compare them to a Ninja subscriber. “You son of a bitch. You probably subscribe to Ninja!” he shouted, before the pirate jumped overboard to escape his grasp. Little did he know, though, that his buddy was watching him call out his subs the whole time, capping off yet another hilarious moment between the two. Moments after joking about Ninja, he picked up a treasure chest from the boat and leapt into the water to take it back to their Galleon. “You probably subscribe to Ninja? Probably subscribe to Ninja… I’ll remember that shit” Ninja says quite audibly in the background, which sparked CouRage into uncontrollable laughter. It turns out, though, that he might have been just baiting Ninja. “I knew he was going to show up. I knew he was watching!” CouRage cried.

Ninja breaks major subscriber record on Mixer without even streaming – Dexerto
Ninja breaks major subscriber record on Mixer without even streaming NinjaTyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins recently announced a switch from Twitch to Mixer, and has already broken the site’s subscriber record before his first broadcast. Ninja is one of the biggest streamers in the world, and recently shocked fans everywhere with an unexpected announcement that he would be leaving Twitch in favor of Microsoft’s streaming platform Mixer starting from August 2. The American shared this news on Twitter, where he posted a short video regarding the announcement, alongside a simple message “The next chapter, Mixer.com/Ninja”. Less than five hours after his initial announcement Ninja posted another Tweet, stating that “Over 100k subscribers have been redeemed so far on Mixer”. This is an incredibly high amount, even dwarfing some of the most popular Twitch channels. Read More: How to watch Ninja’s first Mixer stream – While the streamers’ popularity is undoubtedly one of the core reasons behind this incredible wave of support, it is definitely helped by a “limited-time offer” by Mixer, which allows any user to subscribe to the American for free. Ninja brings back “you little shit” catchphrase after losing $1,000 bet – Dexerto
Ninja brings back “you little shit” catchphrase after losing $1,000 bet Graphics: Epic Games, NinjaFortnite Battle Royale or producing some memorable moments with other streamers, but the return of his “you little shit” catchphrase might be one of the best yet. The Twitch streamer, who has over 14 million followers on the platform, lost a $1,000 bet to partner Malachi ‘Reverse2k’ Greiner after saying that he couldn’t win a game after his three teammates were eliminated. Once he had won the match, Ninja kept true to his word, dropped the large sum of money in one donation, and was waiting around for a big reaction in return – but it never came. So, he decided that enough was enough and brought back one of his most iconic sayings – calling him a “little shit” on stream. “I was waiting for Reverse to read my donation,” he said, after completely missing the gamer talk about the huge sum on stream. “I did. I did. I said thank you,” Reverse2k responded. “For the thousand dollars, you said thank you?” Ninja shouted, with a smile on his face. “I just gave you a fucking grand you little shit… Are you out of your mind? That’s the most money you’ve ever seen!” Fellow streamer Jack ‘CouRage’ Dunlop, who often teams up with the pair, couldn’t help but burst into laughter in the background as Ninja hasn’t pulled out this type of reaction in quite some time – especially when playing Fortnite Battle Royale. He even challenged Ninja to send a grand in his direction, so that he could show Reverse how it’s done. “Ninja… I’m gonna be able to feed my family this week,” CouRage said, pretending to cry. “One thousand dollars, grandma we can get you your arthritis surgery now. Oh my god thank you, Ninja. You saved my family.” It’s unlikely that we’ll hear Ninja use the catchphrase regularly in the near future, as he tends to only bring it out every so often, and is more reserved about foul language on streams now. At least he’s still got it in him.

That’s not all: this milestone likely resulted in a major payday for the streamer, earning an estimated $2.5 million for a mere business week of broadcasting – although the exact details of his partnership with Mixer aren’t public, so fans will never know exactly how much cash this achievement actually earned him. Ninja blown away after getting shout out in Cobra Kai Season 5 – Dexerto
Ninja blown away after getting shout out in Cobra Kai Season 5 Twitch: Ninja/ SonyTwitch star Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins was stunned after he got a special mention in the new Season 5 of Netflix’s Cobra Kai. Having been streaming on YouTube and Twitch since 2011, Ninja has certified himself as one of the most iconic content creators in the streaming community. However, Ninja hasn’t been restricted to the monitor. He’s gone on to make appearances in a variety of TV shows and films, including Duncanville, Free Guy, and Hotel Transylvania: Transformania. The 31-year-old has even caught the attention of the screenwriters for Cobra Kai as he and his distinctive streaming setup got a shout out in the new series of the hit Netflix TV series. Cobra Kai Season 5 gives special mention to Ninja Cobra Kai Season 5 dropped on September 9 with Ninja being one of the first to catch the new series and was blown away to find he made a special cameo in the martial arts comedy. In a scene from episode one, Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) and Chozen Toguchi (Yuji Okumuto) pay a visit to Stingray/Raymond Porter’s (Paul Walter Hauser) new home. During the tour around the house, they are particularly interested in his “Ninja-level gaming station.” Although, Stingray responds: “Oh, I wish. Ninja’s setup is just beyond.” Ninja was clearly honored by the mention as he took to Twitter to share his shock, claiming it was “the first time” he’d been referenced in a show of this magnitude. Yet, the clip sparked an idea from some fans for Ninja to make an appearance in-person. After all, Season 4 brought us a guest cameo from hugely popular country singer Carrie Underwood as well as various stars who appeared in the original ‘Karate Kid’ film franchise. Ninja has been slowly moving onto our TV screens in recent times. However, with him now streaming on multiple platforms, his creator career is far from over.

Ninja book excerpt makes sense of viral “just a game” Tweet – Dexerto
Ninja book excerpt makes sense of viral “just a game” Tweet Twitter/NinjaTyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins made waves on Twitter after he called out people who use the expression “it’s just a game” in response to those who are serious about competing. However, his book explains a bit more than Twitter’s character limit would let him. In the post, which was retweeted over 15,000 times, Ninja claims that people who stop getting mad about losing have actually “lost twice” and that treating competitions as “just a game” is “weak mindset.” “There’s always something to learn, and always room for improvement, never settle,” the Fortnite star concluded. The phrase “it’s just a game” is such a weak mindset. You are ok with what happened, losing, imperfection of a craft. When you stop getting angry after losing, you’ve lost twice. There’s always something to learn, and always room for improvement, never settle. — Ninja (@Ninja) February 18, 2020 While many agreed with his words, some felt he was promoting toxicity. Twitch streamer Ohmwrecker replied that he believes “losing helps you get better” and “anyone doing anything competitive should find value in a loss.” As the debates continued, Overwatch YouTuber Ryan Central of Hitscan seems to have uncovered more to Ninja’s comments from his book Get Good: My Ultimate Guide to Gaming. In an excerpt, Ninja digs deeper into the “just a game comments” and provides some real examples of things that happened to him growing up. Here’s a much better answer about @Ninja’s ‘Just A Game’ debate. It’s from his book and I think it better explains his point than his tweet pic.twitter.com/VQCbfmATe7 — RyanCentral (@RyanCentral) February 19, 2020 “I hated when teammates would say, “Tyler, why are you so mad? It’s just a game!” in the middle of an actual game,” the excerpt reads. According to Ninja, people who are playing the game shouldn’t be playing if they don’t want to win. He went on to suggest that people would never tell legendary NFL quarterback Tom Brady “it’s just a game” when he’s playing in the Super Bowl. “I’d be easier on myself if I didn’t have that mentality, but I do,” Ninja wrote. “And I probably won’t be where I am today without it.” He went on to suggest that competitors need to ask themselves why they want to be the best and what keeps them going. “Unless you’re hungry, you’re not really going to see the results you want and your time would be better spent just playing games, rather than trying to master them.” Regardless of where you stand on Ninja’s comments, he definitely makes a compelling case for competing and that to be the best, you can’t just treat it like any other game.

Ninja bites back at claims he used Mixer to “cash out” from streaming – Dexerto
Ninja bites back at claims he used Mixer to “cash out” from streaming Twitch: NinjaStreaming star Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins says his move to Mixer wasn’t just a case of him “cashing out” as he tried to make it work right up until the plug was pulled on the streaming platform. In August of 2019, Ninja stunned the streaming world when he decided to jump ship from Twitch and sign with Microsoft’s Mixer platform. He was quickly joined by Shroud and other streamers as Mixer tried to battle against Twitch, YouTube, and the burgeoning Facebook Gaming. The move lasted just under a year before Microsoft pulled the plug on Mixer, giving streamers the chance to move to Facebook as a part of a new partnership. While some streamers took that move, both Ninja and Shroud became free agents but had their extremely lucrative contracts paid up. Despite them both returning to Twitch, Ninja has never hit the same heights as before his exit, with his viewership way down ever since. The streaming superstar has faced plenty of criticism for making the move in the first place, especially regarding the money side of things. Though, he maintains that he was doing it for the betterment of the streaming landscape as a whole. Read More: Top 20 most followed Twitch streamers – Speaking on the Courage and Nadeshot podcast, Ninja lamented the opportunity Mixer had but missed on, and again shut down criticism of him being paid so handsomely for the move. “Bro, I was streaming double the hours I was supposed to. It was like a 150-hour requirement, I think, for a month and I was doing 300, easy,” Blevins said. “So, I wanted it to win. It wasn’t like I just signed this big deal and cashed out, I was streaming double my requirements for six months straight and it still didn’t work out. And, it wasn’t for a lack of want.” Timestamp of 7:11 As he has done previously, Ninja noted that Mixer had a tough time retaining viewers which ultimately led to its downfall. While his move ultimately didn’t pan out as planned, it has paved the way for other top streamers to get similar deals with other platforms, with quite a few swapping Twitch for YouTube recently.

Ninja blasts the US President for blaming mass shootings on video games – Dexerto
Ninja blasts the US President for blaming mass shootings on video games NinjaPopular streamer Tyler ‘Ninja‘ Blevins took a shot at U.S. President’s claims that video games glorify violence in a video on August 25. Ninja is one of the most well-known streamers in the world, even after leaving Twitch for the Microsoft-owned Mixer streaming platform at the beginning of August. The move came around the same time as several tragic mass shootings in the U.S. – and the condemnation of video games as part of the problem by the President. “We must stop the glorification of violence in our society,” the President said. “This includes the gruesome and grisly video games that are now commonplace.” What did Ninja have to say? The President’s comments have drawn a lot of criticism from across the video game industry – which has plenty of research that it can point to which shows no direct link between video games and violence. When asked what he thought about the claim in the video provided by TMZ on August 25, Ninja seemed annoyed at the idea – only responding “come on” at first. “Come on, man,” the streamer responded.”Have you seen Minecraft? What’s violent about Minecraft bro? Nothing man.” “Violence… Violence is not video games,” Ninja continued. “That’s just how it is man.” Ninja’s comments aren’t too different from what other online personalities have said about the subject, but this could mean the star could find himself on the receiving end of a classic tweet if the President’s past reaction to backlash by big-name celebs is anything to go by. Ninja is one of the biggest names in video games right now. Ninja’s not alone Ninja is far from the only personality to speak out about the President’s comments – Twitch streamer Imane ‘Pokimane‘ Anys addressed the fury from video game players about the president’s remarks while reading a tweet from esports insider Rod ‘Slasher’ Breslau. “Ohhhh, and you know what’s kinda troll too? That like, we’ve let him say and get away with so much shit,” She said. “And then he attacks… he attacks video games and we’re like “RACISM! I can allow that! But video games? Uh-uh-uh!’” Pokimane thinks there’s plenty to be upset with the US President over besides just video games.600 Now that Ninja has made his stance on the issue clear, one has to wonder about the chances of him drafting a Twitter reply to the streamer as this article is being written.

Ninja banned on TikTok Live for ‘Glizzy Overdrive’ imitation – Dexerto
Ninja banned on TikTok Live for ‘Glizzy Overdrive’ imitation Twitch: NinjaStreaming superstar Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins was banned during a TikTok livestream for replicating the viral ‘Glizzy Overdrive’ video with his own version — and was less than impressed when he realized his stream had been shut down. Ninja may not claim the same viewership that he had at his peak, streaming Fortnite with the likes of Drake and Travis Scott, but he’s still a huge name with mass mainstream appeal, and continues to enjoy a successful streaming career nonetheless. These days, he has no exclusive streaming agreement with any platform, and instead opts to stream on every platform possible, allowing anybody to watch him no matter where they prefer to see their streams. With this, though, comes a certain amount of risk — though it’s hard to imagine he would’ve foreseen being banned from any of them for this reason, as he decided to imitate the Glizzy Overdrive clips that have been going viral on TikTok and across other social media. Ninja was booted from his TikTok live and quickly realized what had happened, laughing at it before becoming visibly dumbfounded by what had happened. “I violated community guidelines, dude…” he said. “Let me get this straight. A guy can dress up as a hot dog and literally suck glizzies for like four hours straight, but I impersonate him one time and I’m banned in the first 30 seconds?” TikTok live bans don’t usually last long, typically only around 24-48 hours, though it depends on the severity of the violation. Some bans could last up to 180 days, though at the time of writing, it’s unclear how long Ninja’s ban is expected to last. Needless to say, he managed to stay live on Twitch despite his Glizzy Overdrive, with the Amazon-owned platform evidently not taking offence to his actions.

Ninja Becomes First Twitch Streamer in History to Hit Massive Milestone Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins has become the first Twitch user in history to hit over 10 million followers. Taking to Twitter to react to the incredible milestone, the streaming superstar said “this milestone is seriously ridiculous and the one I am most proud of”. The 27-year-old concluded by saying “I have been streaming for a very very long time… and I cannot express how grateful I am to be in the position I am in. Love you guys”. currently featuring at the legendary Lallapalooza music festival, playing with famous artists and special guests in the event’s first ever Gaming Lounge. Despite being a Twitch veteran, Ninja’s real success came after he switched to playing Fortnite Battle Royale, a game that he quickly became the face of and one that has taken over the world this year. Ninja’s nearest competition for followers on Twitch is Michael ‘shroud’ Grzesiek, a former CS:GO pro that now plays PUBG the majority of the time and has just under four million followers. Snapping at shroud’s heels is TSM’s Ali ‘Myth’ Kabbani, another Fortnite streamer that has seen incredible growth in 2018. However, with over six million more followers than the man in second place, Ninja’s king of Twitch crown looks set to remain firmly on his head for a long time to come.

Ninja announces exclusive partnership to stream on Mixer – Dexerto
Ninja announces exclusive partnership to stream on Mixer Ninja/MixerTwitch superstar Tyler ‘Ninja‘ Blevins announced a partnership with Microsoft’s streaming platform Mixer, meaning he will be leaving Twitch. Ninja dropped the bombshell news in a bizarre video on August 1 where he announced he’ll be exclusively streaming on Mixer, in a press conference with himself. He took questions from the crowd who were all versions of himself where he answered questions about what it means for his hair and gaming career. The partnership begins immediately which means he will no longer be on his Twitch channel and fans will need to follow him to Mixer if they want to keep with his livestreams. His sub button has since been removed from Twitch. Mixer is Twitch’s closest competitor but it doesn’t really come close to the viewership but perhaps this switch could be the shot in the arm that Microsoft needs. Exclusive streaming partnerships have become more commonplace with Felix ‘PewDiePie‘ Kjellberg announcing all of his streams will be on DLive instead of YouTube. Whether fans will be following Ninja over Mixer remains to be seen. He was by far the most followed Twitch channel with over 14 million followers and averaged close to 30,000 viewers per stream. Welcome @Ninja to the Mixer Community! We’re hyped to have you!:blue_heart: https://t.co/sPeQ6bGdIl — Mixer (@WatchMixer) August 1, 2019 What will be interesting to follow is how many streamers decide to begin their streaming career on Mixer now that one of the most famous creators is there. It didn’t seem to have much of an impact on Dlive’s growth but that was a newer platform versus an established on in Mixer. Twitch gave a statement to The Verge about how they feel about his switch. “We’ve loved watching Ninja on Twitch over the years and are proud of all that he’s accomplished for himself and his family, and the gaming community,” Twitch told The Verge. “We wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors.” Ninja spoke about what the move to Mixer meant for him in a follow-up to his announcement. “I’m honestly at a loss for words,” he said. “I’m really just excited to just finally… I feel like I’m gonna get back to the streaming roots and that’s what it’s all about.” If you go over to Ninja’s Mixer channel right now, you’re able to claim your first-month subscription for free as part of a promo. Ninja is streaming from Lollapalooza on August 2 so his debut stream has potential to be one for the record books.

Ninja argues that DMCA proves music industry doesn’t understand “value” of creators – Dexerto
Ninja argues that DMCA proves music industry doesn’t understand “value” of creators Twitter, @Ninja / Pexels, Andrea PiacquadioAs Twitch streamers navigate the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), Ninja argues that the music industry doesn’t recognize the value of content creators as much as gaming companies do. With online content becoming more and more popular over the past year, music industry executives and government officials have joined together in trying to restrict free usage of record labels’ property. In November 2020, Twitch felt compelled to try apologizing for DMCA controversy as streamers and fans complained about an onslaught of suspensions and content deletion. Then, in December 2020, North Carolina Senator Thom Tillis prompted massive Twitter backlash by pushing a bill that would punish DMCA strikes with felony jail time. Now, segueing into the new year, Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins took some time during a Valorant stream to address confusion on the behalf of his chat. In his brief, impassioned clarification, the legendary streamer described how DMCA laws demonstrate the ignorance of music industry execs compared to those in the gaming industry. As DMCA laws work, a content creator can get in trouble for using songs in their content, whether live or recorded, if they haven’t received explicit permissions from the controlling label. In contrast, a fan in Ninja’s chat wanted to know if using a video game’s property for content could be punished similarly. In response, Ninja put forth a simple clarification: “DMCA is everything to do with music, okay?” Then, he elaborated on why the valuation of content creators is at the heart of the difference in approach between the gaming and music industries: “Having the rights to be able to stream video games … gaming companies understand and they realize the value that streamers and content creators bring. And they don’t try to monetize off of it. And that’s the difference between the music and the gaming industry.” As Ninja posits, gaming companies recognize that allowing their titles to be used by streamers and content creators is of value to them already and not worth trying to monetize further. This is likely because they see the content as free publicity, therefore freeing up some marketing budget, and don’t want to restrict said creators. Read more: #StopDMCA trending as Twitch users outrage – Dissimilarly, music companies want to monetize any and all usage of their property as much as possible. Ninja’s argument seems to suggest that by attempting to be so restrictive, those companies are ignoring the value that content creators can offer them.
