  • Ninja and Tfue reveal the biggest dangers of joining an esports organization – Dexerto

Ninja and Tfue reveal the biggest dangers of joining an esports organization Ninja – Twitch / Tfue – TwitchMega Twitch streamers Turner ‘Tfue‘ Tenney and Tyler ‘Ninja‘ Blevins explain to esports pros that signing to an organization isn’t always what’s best for your career. There’s more money up for grabs than ever before in esports now which means there are many players looking for an organization to sign with. With the emergence of Fortnite Battle Royale as an esport and its ability to be played from the comfort of your own home, there are a lot of reasons a player would want to sign with a team, whether that’s for a salary, exposure, and free gear, but is that the best path? Tfue and Ninja have explained what players should know before signing. Do the negatives outweigh the positives? Tfue says if you are signing to an organization, you need to make sure your team doesn’t take a cut of your Fortnite World Cup earnings. He explained this to Clix, a recent pro who signed with Misfits Gaming. “They’re not taking any World Cup earnings, are they,” he asked, which Clix confirmed that they are. “You need to get yourself a lawyer.” The FaZe Clan pro further explained his point, arguing an organization doesn’t do enough for them to deserve a cut of your money. “I don’t care, none of these orgs are doing anything worth the cut they’re taking,” he said. “You win a fucking $3 million and they take, let’s say 10%, that’s $100,000 on the million. For what, so you can rep their name in-game?” Ninja echoed this sentiment, saying you need to know what you are getting yourself into before you sign with a team, but there are benefits. “All orgs are different, all orgs take different percentages and different things,” he said. “When you’re smaller, an org is almost 100% of the time beneficial for you. If they’re amazing they’ll give you good exposure, verification on Twitter and make some connections within the scene.” On the contrary, there are some things you need to look out for. “Some people get caught with some really terrible contracts where some of their Twitch revenue is taken by the org, their YouTube revenue taken by the org, or half of it, but they’ll offer you a couple thousand dollars a month.” You can catch all of what Ninja and Tfue say in the video below, starting from the beginning. With all of this said, it comes down to you if you want to join an organization, but it’s important to know exactly what you’re getting yourself into.

  • Ninja angry at Epic Games for not “protecting” him from stream snipers – Dexerto

Ninja angry at Epic Games for not “protecting” him from stream snipers Twitch superstar Tyler ‘Ninja‘ Blevins is no stranger to being stream sniped but he feels that video game developers put too much of the burden in preventing it on the streamers. Stream sniping is often just what comes with streaming to thousands of people a day. There are things streamers can do to help prevent this like checking if their game has a “Streamer Mode” or even putting a delay on the stream. Putting a delay on a stream will stop the real-time chat interaction which is something not all streamers want to deal with, which means the onus is on video game developers to do something. Ninja argues it should be easier to stop streaming sniping and thinks the developers could certainly do more. Are developers doing enough? Ninja feels that stream sniping is prevalent enough in all games that something should be done, especially in Fortnite Battle Royale. After seeing a familiar name pop up again, he shared his thoughts on the matter. “These guys won’t ever get banned either unless we go out of our way to tell Epic,” he said. “That’s not how it should be.” Stream sniping in battle royale games has been a problem since their inception, but the problem has worsened since viewers on Twitch started to flock to them. “Do you guys feel like it should be up to us to get stream snipers banned,” Ninja asked Dr Lupo and TimTheTatman, to which they both answered with a no. Ninja takes it even further, suggesting that Epic Games owes the content creators better protection from stream snipers. “I’m just going to come out and say it,” Ninja said. “I feel like Fortnite owes it to their content creators, their streamers, to try to protect them as we continue to broadcast the game to millions of people.” Ninja compares streaming to a stand-up comedy show, something he has done before, where a heckler would be kicked out immediately but a stream sniper isn’t. “We have to go out of our way to get people removed,” he said. “We have to provide evidence, we have to go in and show clips, we have to get their username, we have to all of this stuff where if it’s a heckler the guy just literally goes “get this guy out of here” and he’s out of here.’ Dr Lupo mentions a comedian has a much smaller audience and it’s really easy to pinpoint a heckler where a stream sniper isn’t as cut and dry. It’s hard to know if somebody is 100% stream sniping, something we’ve seen Ninja deal with in the past, which is likely why Epic Games and other developers require so much evidence to get somebody banned. Ninja is far from the only one who complains about stream snipers as Tfue runs into them just as often, if not more.

  • PewDiePie and Ninja team up in most unlikely Fortnite Friday duo of all time – Dexerto

PewDiePie and Ninja team up in most unlikely Fortnite Friday duo of all time YouTube: PewDiePie/UMG/Twitch: NinjaDaniel ‘KEEMSTAR’ Keem, creator of the popular Friday Fortnite competitions, has confirmed that Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins and YouTube King Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg are teaming up for Week 2 of the online tournament. Friday Fortnite returned on May 31, seeing NRG Esports’ MrSavage and Benjyfisy take home first place as they overcame Ghost Gaming’s Kamo and Issa in the Grand Finals of the $20,000 tournament. Ninja, the most followed streamer on Twitch, was playing with his long time duo partner Reverse2k, whom he is still struggling to qualify for World Cup Duos with. The two finished a respectable third place. However, for Week 2 of Friday Fortnite Season 2, on June 7, he will be playing with Swedish YouTuber PewDiePie in one of the most unforeseen moves in the history of the tournaments. PewDiePie is best known for his YouTube channel which sits at over 96 million subscribers – the most subscribed to individually run account in the world. His Fortnite Battle Royale abilities will remain a mystery to most who follow him, as he has not exactly made the game a staple of his channel, but he’ll be hoping to step up alongside Ninja when June 7 rolls around. While Pewds’ channel started life with gaming content and quickly grew to be known for some of the most popular ‘lets play’ videos ever made, the Swede has not focused on video games for a long while. He has, however, been known to mock Fortnite Battle Royale above just about any other game on the market today, making the collaboration with Ninja even more bizarre. The news was confirmed by the host of the even KEEMSTAR, who posted a video of Ninja’s highlights and described the two men as the “biggest names in gaming”. The news was well received by the community, amassing over 35,000 likes at the time of writing. Week 2 #FridayFortnite @PewDiePie & @Ninja team up! pic.twitter.com/nSVkavvP7R — KEEM  (@KEEMSTAR) June 3, 2019 Popular American YouTuber Jimmy ‘MrBeast’ Donaldson responded in typical fashion, joking that he’d give Keem his bank account if he can play them in the first round next week. After Keem said he already had an “evil plan” for that, Donaldson revised his offer, throwing his YouTube channel in as well. It’s understandable that competitors will be so keen to face the king of YouTube – the opportunities for content will be next to endless, especially given his comedic commentaries and statements about the game, and its personalities, in the past. It will be a pleasant surprise to those watching if Ninja and Pewds are able to mount a serious challenge. The tournament is generally dominated by professional duos but some celebrities, such as Tory Lanez, have proven their talent, and even challenged the professional duos. PewDiePie will be hoping to replicate this outsider success when June 7 hits, and KEEMSTAR will be keen to see if the combined might of two of the internet’s biggest stars will be enough to help his tournament break viewership records. Ninja, of course, will be streaming on his ever popular Twitch account while PewDiePie, given his recent deal with DLive, will be streaming via that platform starting at 1pm PDT. More Friday Fortnite information, including a full hub with brackets and schedule, will be posted on Dexerto prior to the June 7 competition.

  • Ninja and Tfue battle for most watched and fastest growing Twitch channels – Dexerto

Ninja and Tfue battle for most watched and fastest growing Twitch channels Many consider Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins as the king of Twitch, but his crown is being challenged by fellow Fortnite streamer Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney. Ninja has been streaming on Twitch since it was known as Justin.tv, and was already a big name, but rose to new unprecedented levels of popularity with the release of Fortnite in late 2017. Tfue similarly boomed with Fortnite, largely due to his reputation as one of the very best players in the game, winning successive ‘Friday Fortnite’ tournaments, and joining FaZe Clan. Ninja peaked around March and April of 2018, where he even hit over 200,000 paying subscribers, but has since leveled out. He remains the most followed channel, with over 11 million, but the rate at which he gains followers and viewers has declined, which is expected given the huge peak he had. For Tfue however, he may have never hit the peak which Ninja did, but he is now gaining followers at a faster rate than Ninja. According to Twitch Metrics, Tfue has gained 142,707 followers this week, while Ninja gained just over 100,000. Despite this, it is unlikely Tfue will be overtaking Ninja in total followers any time soon, as his 2.9 million (7th most overall), is still a long way off Ninja’s 11.6 million. But, Ninja’s massive follower advantage is not directly translating to viewers. Twitch Metrics has Ninja as the second most watched streamer over the past 7 days, beaten only by League of Legends creator Riot Games. Tfue though, even with only a 3rd of the followers of Ninja, is not far behind in total hours watched. This statistic does however depend on the total amount of time streamed too of course. Twitch attempt to recruit YouTube Live streamer, forgetting they’d previously banned him But, Tfue is, for now, the fastest growing channel on Twitch in terms of followers gained, and could easily scale his way up the ranks if he can maintain this growth.

  • Ninja and PewDiePie roast each other’s embarrassing livestream slip-ups – Dexerto

Ninja and PewDiePie roast each other’s embarrassing livestream slip-ups Pwwdiepie / Ninja YoutubeYouTube king Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg and Twitch star Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins found themselves discussing their most embarrassing livestream slip-ups, as they played together in KEEMSTAR’s Friday Fortnite tournament. The return of Friday Fortnite has made a splash within the gaming community, attracting all sorts of stars to compete within the tournament in previous weeks such as Tory Lanez, MrBeast and DJ Akademiks. It was the unlikely duo of Ninja and PewDiePie which caught everyone’s attention, however, as two of the biggest names on the internet linked up to battle it out for the $10,000 prize. Ninja began highlighting the difference between making YouTube videos and streaming on Twitch, explaining that slip-ups could simply be edited out on YouTube, as opposed to streaming: “If you say something you’re not supposed to, you can edit that out.” Ninja highlighted that it was among the biggest difficulties with livestreaming for long hours, hinting that PewDiePie knew all too well about the consequences of slip-ups, referencing his infamous PUBG rage: “You stream for 8 hours man and say one thing on accident, I mean, you know a little bit about that.” The Swedish YouTuber denied that he was ever involved in a controversy, jokingly claiming that he has never said anything that was wrong while livestreaming, “what are you saying right now? I’ve never said anything wrong in my entire life.” PewDiePie said he was wondering how long it was going to take for Ninja to bring up the topic of his past livestream mishaps. PewDiePie fired a shot of his own back at the Twitch star, telling him that they would be alright as long as Ninja did not rap while they were streaming, saying, “Just don’t start rapping, then we’ll be fine.” – referencing when Ninja accidentally included a racial slur from rap lyrics he was reciting. Their tournament run was unfortunately cut short as PewDiePie had to leave early, leaving TimTheTatman to take his place alongside Ninja for the remainder of the competition.

  • Ninja and Jessica Blevins squash Tfue beef after long-standing feud – Dexerto

Ninja and Jessica Blevins squash Tfue beef after long-standing feud Instagram: Jessica Blevins, YouTube: TfueFortnite superstar Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins and his wife, Jessica, seem to have settled their beef with fellow streamer Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney, following Jessica’s accusations of farming drama. Tension between content creators is commonplace in the world of streaming, but most conflicts are often left unresolved. Back in April 2020, Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins and his wife, Jessica, became entangled in a feud with Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney, with Ninja’s manager/wife alleging that Tfue was farming drama for financial gain. Amid accidentally leaking Mr. Beast’s phone number and streaming the whole ordeal on Tfue’s personal channel, it seems that the beef has been settled, as the trio has been spotted together on social media. Ninja, Jessica Blevins, and Tfue put tensions to rest Jessica Blevins addressed the trio’s reconcilement with a lighthearted social media post, attaching a selfie of the three of them together. Captioned “Hey sweetie @Tfue,” it’s evident that content creators are back on good terms with each other. While details of how they came to settle their differences are unclear (for now), peers within the streaming community have shown their appreciation for these positive circumstances. Jack ‘CouRage’ Dunlop was one of the first to chime in, simply adding that the three of them together was “squad goals.” Full Squad Gaming owner, Jake Lucky, and YouTube sensation, KeemStar, commented too, adding “luv this” and “peace at last” respectively. Tfue himself also took the chance to highlight this monumental moment for the three of them, as he commemorated the occasion on Instagram with a post directed at Jessica.

  • Ninja and JGhosty Feature At Michelle Obama Higher Education Event – Dexerto

Ninja and JGhosty Feature At Michelle Obama Higher Education Event Ninja/TwitchThe most popular streamer in the world, Tyler “Ninja” Blevins, and his wife (and manager) Jessica “JGhosty”, took their combined influence to the world of education on May 2nd, teaming up with former First Lady Michelle Obama. As the top streamer and Fortnite player in the world, former professional Halo player Ninja undoubtedly has no shortage of influencer opportunities and invitations to speak at events and conferences. His wife, JGhosty, a popular streamer in her own right, also acts as Ninja’s manager and both participated in the event focused on inspiring young people in the United States to pursue higher education. The event, called “CollegeSigningDay”, took place in Philadelphia, and Ninja was joined not only by his wife, but also by another streamer “Anne Munition” and Community Marketer at Twitch “Aureylian”. During her time in the White House, Michelle Obama started the ‘Reach Higher’ initiative, which aims to “inspire every student in the U.S. to take charge of their future by completing their education past high school.” And the former First Lady has continued her work in higher education since, with the May 2nd the first time we will see influential live streamers take part. • Ninja and Jeffree Star tease crossover after TikTok and Target visit – Dexerto

Ninja and Jeffree Star tease crossover after TikTok and Target visit Red Bull – Ryan Hadji/Instagram: JeffreeStarIn one of the most unusual crossovers to date, streaming superstar Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins and make-up guru Jeffree Star got together to make some things happen – leaving fans questioning as to what comes next. On his rise to mainstream stardom, Ninja has linked up with quite a number of fellow streamers and professional players to dominate Fortnite. He famously took things up a notch when he teamed up with Drake, Juju Smith-Schuster, and Travis Scott to pretty much break Twitch – marking one of the biggest crossover moments to date. Yet, he’s now taken a different approach to things, linking up with popular YouTuber Jeffree Star. If it seems somewhat of a confusing crossover, well, that’s because it is. No one knows – for certain – what they are up to, if anything. Yet, speculation kicked off on January 30, when the Mixer streamer tweeted out a TikTok he had made alongside the makeup guru. Captioned “How I think I look in the morning vs how I wish I looked,” Ninja started the short clip by being alone in his streaming room before covering his camera with a mirror right as the song hit its climax, and when it was uncovered, Jeffree Star was stood in his place. https://twitter.com/Ninja/status/1223030075332997124 Though, if being at Ninja’s house and his place of work is one thing, the pair even ventured into public together – heading for a dash around the Blevins’ local Target. The makeup guru tweeted out a picture of himself and Ninja at the check-out with an empty shopping cart. However, that wasn’t the end of things. Ninja’s wife and manager Jessica followed it up with a selfie of all three outside the store. “Our local @Target wasn’t ready,” she tweeted, leaving fans of both content creators questioning what was being cooked up between them all. BRB we’re going shopping 🆘 @Ninja pic.twitter.com/4FW0ieUSGa — Jeffree Star (@JeffreeStar) January 31, 2020 Our local @Target wasn’t ready pic.twitter.com/ZfEcieaOud — Jessica Blevins (@JessicaBlevins) January 31, 2020 Now, some fans have speculated that the Blevins’ could simply have a budding friendship with Starr and it is just a case of them all hanging out. However, others are expecting some sort of crossover in content. Could we see Jeffree play Fortnite with Ninja in the future? Could we see Ninja being given a makeup with a new palette? Time will tell, so we’ll just have to wait and see.

  • Ninja and Jessica Blevins land safely after airplane window cracked at 30,000 feet – Dexerto

Ninja and Jessica Blevins land safely after airplane window cracked at 30,000 feet Instagram: NinjaIt was a scary scene for Ninja and Jessica Blevins as the couple’s plane window cracked while they were in the air heading to Florida on a July 10 trip. Tyler Blevins and his wife-and-manager Jessica were en route to Florida when disaster struck. The exterior window pane in their row suffered a deep crack and it looked as if it might completely give way. As is appropriate with such a serious safety concern, it threatened to have their entire trip put on hold as the airline pondered an emergency landing, but they ultimately decided against it and continued the flight. Just landed safely in Florida with @JessicaBlevins our window cracked at 30000 feet and we almost had to do an emergency landing, it somehow held up throughout the remainder of the flight pic.twitter.com/ECcxbkIMYM — Ninja (@Ninja) July 10, 2022 After landing, Ninja shared the news and confirmed that they were okay if not a little sketched out by the day’s events. Of course, it didn’t take long for longtime friends like Jack ‘Courage’ Dunlop and Dr. Lupo to pop in and share a comforting word or two to the pair in the aftermath. “Jesus, that’s scary. Glad you guys arrived safe,” Dunlop said. While broken windows are a rare occurrence in the modern world of commercial airlines, they do still occur from time to time and the results can be devastating. Not only is the strength of the wind enough to pull an individual completely out of the plane, but the lack of oxygen at such an altitude could threaten the safety of the rest of the passengers on the vessel as well. Thankfully, the Blevins family avoided anything more than a slight scare this time around.

  • Ninja, Ali-A and more feature on Forbes’ 30 under 30 Games list – Dexerto

Ninja, Ali-A and more feature on Forbes’ 30 under 30 Games list Numerous big names in the esports and gaming industry have made Forbes’ 30 under 30 US & Canada list for 2019, including the likes of streamer Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins and YouTuber Alistair ‘Ali-A’ Aitken. The 30 under 30 list, first started in 2011, selects 30 influential figures in 20 industries, in recognition of their achievements and contributions to said industry. One such industry is ‘Games’, for which 30 of the most important and influential names have been selected. Former Halo professional turned streamer, Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins makes the list, which is unsurprising given his massive rise to fame as the world’s most popular Fortnite streamer. “Ninja is the most followed gamer on the streaming platform, Twitch, with 12 million followers. This year, Blevins broke Twitch’s concurrent viewer record for a single user with over 600,000 people watching at once. He also finished first at Epic Games’ first sanctioned Fortnite tournament and earned a sponsorship from Red Bull. Similarly, YouTuber Alistair ‘Ali-A’ Aitken, who has over 15 million subscribers, is recognized in the games category. “Known as Ali-A, Aiken is one of the most popular content creators for Fortnite, having amassed 15 million subscribers and 5 billion views on YouTube. He’s won two Guinness World Records for subscribers and also stars in the CBBC car show, Ali-A’s Superchargers.” It also incorporates esports, the competitive aspect of gaming, with two top professionals making the list: CS:GO player Jacky ‘Stewie2K’ Yip: “One of the most recognizable North American players in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, “Stewie” helped bring the region its first Major championship when Cloud9 took top honors at the ELEAGUE Boston Major in January. He has since moved to the team MIBR where he continues to shine, placing first at the ZOTAC Cup Masters in August.” and League of Legends player Yilian ‘Doublelift’ Peng: Considered one of the best American-born players in League of Legends, “Doublelift” plays the role of marksman on Team Liquid. Known for both his skill and braggadocios personality, Peng has won five North American championships and garnered half-a-million fans on YouTube and 800,000 on Twitter. Other professional players that make the list are Cloud9’s Rainbow 6 player Lauren ‘Goddess’ Williams and SSB player Jason ‘Mew2King’ Zimmerman, of Most Valuable Gaming. Some of the industry figures in esports also receive recognition, including TSM’s President of esports Aileena Xu, Co-founder of OG Johan Sundstein, Esports lead at Blizzard Sam Braithwaite and others. Esports also features in some other categories, with Cofounders of Blitz Esports, Jonathon Lin and Rick Ling, featured in both the ‘Immigrants’ category and the ‘Media’ category. Interestingly, Ninja, Ali-A and Doublelift are also named on the ‘Celebrities’ list, indicating just how mainstream the biggest names in gaming are becoming, when alongside names such as Post Malone, Blake Griffin and 21 Savage. Delane Parnell, Founder of PlayVS – a web app used by US schools to create esports teams and participate in competitive gaming leagues – is featured on two lists, ‘Games’ and ‘Big Money’. • Ninja’s first Mixer host almost brings small streamer to tears – Dexerto

Ninja’s first Mixer host almost brings small streamer to tears Ninja / mixerPopular Fortnite star Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins has already positively impacted the community since his move to Mixer, after hosting one of his fellow streamers on the platform. Ninja’s move away from the popular streaming site Twitch was initially met with some major concerns from his audience, when he announced that he would be livestreaming exclusively on Microsoft’s platform, Mixer. However, Blevins quickly proved any doubters wrong by amassing over 1 million subscribers on August 6 (although it should be noted that Mixer is giving out free subscriptions for Ninja’s channel for the first two months), only a week after announcing his switch, and began giving back to other streamers on the site with by hosting smaller channels. After Ninja’s stream on August 5, he decided to build up one of his fellow Mixer streamers, SoloQJokerr, by sending all of his viewers towards his channel with a massive raid. SoloQJokerr was in an intense battle with a BRUTE mech when the host came through, completely unaware that thousands of new viewers were now watching him getting frustrated with Fortnite’s latest addition. However, his day was instantly made better as he was left speechless when realizing who had just hosted him, turning to look at his chat which was spamming him with Ninja’s name, “Holy jeez Louise. I have no words.” After SoloQJokerr had finished with the stream he thanked Ninja and his community for their support, claiming it was the best and craziest day of his life to be Ninja’s first host on Mixer. “I had to turn off alerts as it was an endless wave of over 1.5k instant follows,” the streamer added, “almost teared up and extremely grateful for this man.” Yesterday marked the best/craziest day of my life. Thank you pic.twitter.com/Cr0QFVLV9K— SoloQ Jokerr #EGX (@SoloQJokerr) August 6, 2019 After his big announcement, Ninja has been full of praise for his new streaming platform of choice, claiming that streaming on Mixer makes him feel “like a little kid again.” It is no surprise that the streamer has built himself such a large community through streaming as he continued to share his success with others through kind gestures such as this one.

  • Ninja accuses Fortnite opponent of hacking – turns out it was Tfue – Dexerto

Ninja accuses Fortnite opponent of hacking – turns out it was Tfue Top Twitch streamer Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins almost reported a Fortnite player for what he believed was hacking – but it was actually FaZe Clan player Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney. Playing squad matches, Ninja, alongside other popular players Justin ‘FearItSelf’ Kats and Jacob ‘Hysteria’ Reiser, ran into the Fall Skirmish winner Tfue, who was playing solo. As the winningest Fortnite player ever in terms of tournament earnings, Tfue managed to wipe out all of Ninja’s squad, with the exception of Ninja himself. Tfue eventually appeared to just give up on the fight, going for a flashy play with balloons and simply falling to his death, but his incredible plays had got Ninja’s suspicions raised. Unaware that it was in fact Tfue (all players were using ‘streamer mode’ to prevent stream snipers, so their names were concealed), Ninja was convinced that it was a hacker. “I’m going to go into theater and report your ass bro – literally didn’t miss a shot on me the entire time” Ninja said, before looking to his chat, who informed him of the opponent’s true identity, “Was that actually Tfue?” You can see Tfue’s perspective in the clip below, where he also seems unaware of who his opponent was, before going for the flashy balloon trick shot. Ninja can hardly be blamed for his mistake however, considering the increase in hackers that have been noticed in Fortnite, particularly in the more competitive ‘Pop-Up Cup’ playlist. After the match, Blevins explained to his stream why he had initially believed the player was hacking, commenting on the ‘laser’ like shots. It’s also testament to just how good the FaZe Clan player is, that even a high level player like Ninja would think he is hacking the game to hit his extremely accurate shots.

  • Ninja addresses future with Twitch amid controversy: “We will see” – Dexerto

Ninja addresses future with Twitch amid controversy: “We will see” YouTube: NinjaSuperstar streamer Ninja won’t commit to re-upping his streaming contract with Twitch amid the platform’s latest controversy. Twitch’s recent decision to update their guidelines with regards to branded content was received about as poorly as could be imagined. Streamers across the platform from Asmongold to Ludwig to MoistCr1TiKaL and even MrBeast panned the decision. As a result, the streaming platform quickly walked back their new guidelines, but even that hasn’t done enough to assuage many streamers, who feel that trust has been broken. One of them, perhaps the biggest name on Twitch, just let it be known how these changes might affect his future on the platform. Ninja updates fans on future with Twitch Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins has had a rocky relationship with Twitch, briefly leaving the platform for the burgeoning Mixer before returning and now streaming on multiple platforms. During the recent controversy, Ninja made it clear that he too was not a fan of the new branding guidelines. On Twitter, Ninja revealed that he will still be streaming on Twitch for the foreseeable future, as he has a contract with the platform that he signed before the new guidelines went into effect. However, when he was asked whether he will be leaving Twitch once the contract ends, Ninja answered very cryptically “we will see.” That does not appear to be a ringing endorsement from one of the platforms biggest names, especially considering that he is already flirting with streaming on their new competitor Kick. It seems that Ninja is wary because of the potential restrictions on his multi-streaming agreement along with the new TOS that Twitch is implementing. But it shows that the impact of Twitch’s change to branding guidelines is being felt.

  • Nine-year-old coaches Pokimane to crazy Fortnite victory – Dexerto

Nine-year-old coaches Pokimane to crazy Fortnite victory Popular Twitch streamer Imane ‘Pokimane‘ Anys received an unexpected coaching session from a completely random nine-year-old Fortnite duos partner. Pokimane is one of the biggest streamers on Twitch, boasting an astonishing 3.6 million followers while streaming a wide variety of content. She also shares some highlights of her broadcasts on her YouTube channel, which is equally impressive at 4.1 million subscribers. In one of these highlights, Imane met an unexpectedly knowledgeable nine-year-old Fortnite player, who gave her some solid tips while he coached her to a very close win. Right off the bat her teammate was calling out commands and trying to come up with the best strategy to win. The mish-mash duo managed to do incredibly well thanks to her teammate’s calls, but he was eliminated at the death, leaving Pokimane in a 1vs1 to close out the game. This was when the coaching really came into play. “That high-ground is in the circle, but you got it, you got it!” he said as he cheered her on, and encouraged Anys to make her way to the favorable position. It all came down to a final battle with Imane and her opponent racing to get a good angle on the other by building. Meanwhile, her teammate kept supporting and coaching her, chiming in with: “you got this” and “don’t let him knock you down” as she was building. The fight ended shortly after, with Pokimane taking the win as her opponent fell from the massive tower, no doubt due to a lack of coaching. Both players seemed ecstatic with the victory, as the streamer praised her teammate for all the help. With Fortnite having so many players it’s unlikely they’ll ever meet again, but Imane will no doubt remember this nine-year-old coach.

Ninja accidentally leaks information on CouRage’s upcoming announcement couragejd – Instagram / 100 ThievesTwitch star Tyler ‘Fortnite Battle Royale streamer. It looks like the cat is out of the bag for who will be joining the organization next if Ninja’s word is to be trusted, and it definitely seems like it is. Is CouRage joining 100 Thieves? During Ninja’s stream on May 24, he was talking about NICKMERCS departure but then talked about CouRage joining the team, something that hasn’t been announced to the public yet. “NICKMERCS is a little bit bigger than CouRage,” said Ninja. “But CouRage recently signed with 100 Thieves, clearly, I don’t think Jack would do that if it wasn’t a great org with great contracts.” DrLupo instantly knew Ninja made a blunder and DM’d him on Twitter, where Ninja then tried to say that was just an assumption. When is the announcement coming? CouRage has been teasing an upcoming announcement all May, which now seems likely that this was the announcement he has been teasing. Matthew ‘Nadeshot‘ Haag previously confirmed that CouRage was going to sign with 100 Thieves during the PromaxGames 2019 marketing conference on April 17, but we were advised by a source that at the time a contract hadn’t been agreed upon yet. • Nina Kosaka confirms VODs won’t be deleted after Nijisanji graduation – Dexerto

Nina Kosaka confirms VODs won’t be deleted after Nijisanji graduation NijisanjiNina Kosaka has confirmed that both her channel and VODs will remain accessible for a few months after she graduates although not all of her streams will survive. Initially announced on June 26, Nina Kosaka will graduate from Nijisanji on July 8. In the announcement, the Fox Goddess Vtuber described her time at the agency as “humbling.” The announcement also stated that all of her social accounts and YouTube channel would be made private, preventing fans from being able to access her content once she’s gone. However, that is no longer the case with Nijisanji going back on their original decision. At least for a little while giving fans time to download their favorite VODs. Nina Kosaka channel to remain accessible after graduation Nina Kosaka answered a few questions fans had been asking leading up to her graduation stream. Amongst these was if VODs would be accessible after she graduated, with Nijisanji’s previous announcement suggesting otherwise. It turns out that most of her VODs and her YouTube channel will be sticking around with Nina confirming that “VODs will be staying up!” However, not all of her content will survive. Nina continued; “I would like for Members streams to not be re-uploaded and remain lost in time,” meaning any streams exclusive to Members of her channel will expire. On a Zatsudan stream held on June 27, Nina said she wanted VODs to remain on her channel for “at least a few months”. Given this, it’s unlikely her streams will be accessible forever but this at least gives fans time to download and reupload her non-Members exclusive content. Timestamp of 8:27 It is unusual for a corporate Vtuber to have their content remain accessible after they graduate. Even within Nijisanji, the likes of Mirei Gundo and Asahina Akane had their channels removed shortly after graduating.

  • Nina Kosaka graduates from Nijisanji EN after “humbling” experience – Dexerto

Nina Kosaka graduates from Nijisanji EN after “humbling” experience NijisanjiNina Kosaka will graduate from Nijisanji EN on July 8, citing her “humbling,” experience of not being able to produce content comparable to her fellow livers as her main reason. Nijisanji has seen a fair few of its talents exit in 2023 with long-serving Vtuber Mirei Gundo being the most recent loss, choosing to walk away after the baseball controversy. The Japanese branch also saw Asahina Akane graduate just a few days after an outfit reveal. Meanwhile, EN’s Yugo Asuma and Zaion LanZa moved on from Nijisanji albeit for very different reasons. Those two had been the English branches’ only casualties since its first generation debuted in May 2021. That is until now with a third talent set to graduate from Nijisanji EN with Ethyria’s Nina Kosaka on her way out. Nina Kosaka graduates from Nijisanji EN Nijisanji has announced that Nina Kosaka will graduate from the Vtuber agency on July 8, 2023. She will host a send-off stream on July 7 where fans will be given the opportunity to say goodbye. Paying tribute to Nina, Nijisanji posted: “Since her debut in October 2021, Nina has been a big part of Nijisanji EN’s journey and we cannot thank her enough for all the hard work and dedication she has given throughout her time with us.” The post continued: “After July 8, 2023, Nina Kosaka will cease all Liver activities, her YouTube channel, Twitter, and other social media accounts will be made private, and the sale of merchandise and voice contents will be stopped gradually.” Nina Kosaka herself followed up looking back fondly on her time: “My time with you in Nijisanji EN has been incredible. From Ethyria’s debut in October 2021 to now, our time together has been filled with admiration, excitement, and happiness.” After praising her work colleagues and Ethyria group members, Nina opened up on why she is graduating: “As exciting as this experience was, it was also overwhelmingly humbling. I began to realize there was a gap forming between what my fellow livers were delivering, what I wanted to deliver, and what you all deserved.” The fox goddess Vtuber went on to admit that she didn’t feel that her work was living up to her standards. By leaving Nijisanji EN she hopes to develop her skills without the pressure and expectations that come with working at such a reputable agency. Although nothing is confirmed, Nina’s tweet seems to imply that she intends to become an independent content creator. It’s not uncommon for corporate Vtubers to transition onto the indie scene be it for creative or financial reasons.

  • Nina Agdal slams critics who “talk sh*t” on fiancé Logan Paul – Dexerto

Nina Agdal slams critics who “talk sh*t” on fiancé Logan Paul YouTube: IMPAULSIVEDanish supermodel Nina Agdal addressed her fiancé, Logan Paul’s, past, asking the critics who “talk sh*t” on her man to “just wait.” YouTube star-turned-WWE heel Logan Paul announced his engagement to Danish supermodel Nina Agdal in July, calling her his “best friend” in a viral tweet capturing the moment. Although his initial plan to propose hit a major road bump (the ring didn’t fit), the couple have been happily planning their upcoming nuptials in the weeks since. However, Agdal has caught some side-eye from Paul’s critics, who have brought up the YouTuber’s many controversies in the wake of their romantic announcement. Logan Paul’s fiancé sticks up for YouTuber despite controversies Agdal spoke out on these criticisms during an August 1 episode of the IMPAULSIVE podcast after co-host Mike Majlak brought up the topic. “As soon as I sat down with you, and had one conversation, thirty seconds in — I think any person who has spoken to Logan will say the same thing — I was like, everyone has their baggage,” she said. “Everyone has different baggage.” “Obviously, his is way more public than any other person, which is also making everything so much tougher. He’s gone through so much hardship and he’s been canceled multiple times, he’s had the entire world turn on him. And he still came out as a better, stronger, wiser, kinder person.” “…I’m excited to see you continue growing and for people to see what an amazing man you actually are,” she continued. “And I know you’re gonna do so much good. People who talk sh*t right now, just wait. Let them.” (Topic begins at 32:13) It’s clear that Agdal is standing by her fiance despite his controversies — and Paul even claims she was by his side during one of the “darkest” moments in his life, to boot. Thus far, it’s not clear when these two will pin down a wedding date; but they’re not the only influencer couple making things official as of late. On July 31, YouTube star Ethan Dolan proposed to longtime girlfriend Kristina Alice, sending fans into a tizzy.

  • Nina Kosaka’s advice to pass NIJISANJI, Hololive auditions: Be “self-aware” – Dexerto

Nina Kosaka’s advice to pass NIJISANJI, Hololive auditions: Be “self-aware” YouTube: Nina KosakaNIJISANJI star Nina Kosaka is the adoptive “fox mom” of her fans. The VTuber came up with some great advice generally for life, but especially for those wanting to audition for top agencies like NIJISANJI and Hololive: Be reflective and self-aware. Nina Kosaka is the polar opposite to her Ethyria genmates at NIJISANJI at times. She isn’t down with all the zoomer lingo and references, and not entirely one with the gamer lifestyle. However what she has is maturity, grace, and wisdom. Her viewers often ask her for advice about life, big or small. So when one viewer asked Nina “how do I make myself stand out,” the fox mom was there with plenty of advice on hand. She stopped what she was doing in Minecraft and got serious with her chat, diving deep into how to improve as a person — and perhaps make it through a top VTuber agency audition like those for NIJISANJI and Hololive. “If you feel any similar, and there’s no shame in feeling that way, that’s something you’ll deal with for the rest of your life. Who am I? How do I stand out? What are my skills? What am I good at? Why do people like me,” she mused. Nina got very personal, relating to her own experiences as a VTuber and in broader life. She gave an example of doing an “assessment” on herself every year to try and build some self-awareness. This makes it easier for her to tackle her goals, like her dream to release six musical covers in 2023 — despite not having a plethora of experience. “If I am coming in here and saying ‘I am not a singer’, that I don’t pursue music, [I won’t make it]. But [the] Nina who says ‘I want to be a singer’… I went to my vocal teacher twice a week. 30 minutes we’re doing ear training, pitch training. 90 minutes a week we are singing. I am committing to six covers in genres I’m not ready for, right? “[The] Nina who decides ‘my identity is a singer’ will do things differently.” That changing of mentality, and being self-aware, is how viewers can not only ace auditions but life itself. It doesn’t have to be self-reflective. You can ask close friends, work colleagues, or family about their first impression of you, and what makes you stand out. If they have something negative to say, you can take action on it. “If you don’t do this, you end up being not self-aware,” she warned. “I think we all lack self-awareness here and there, but especially if you’re auditioning. “I think it’s really important to know who you are and who you’re not. Because people will try to put a story on you. You’re a villain, you’re a sweetheart, you’re dumb, you’re kind, you’re mean. Good for you if the story they assign for you is a positive one… but bad for you if people decide you’re horrible and awful and any time you breathe it’s to be mean or rude.” It’s not a one-off journey either. Nina admitted she “became a worse person during quarantine”, and it took some time following her NIJISANJI debut in late 2021 to overcome the defensive mentality she built up. Her personality shifted, her goals adjusted, and she had to be self-aware enough to catch onto it and grow. “Your personality will always shift, it will change around,” she said. “But it’s up to you to sit down and reel it back in and think ‘which way am I going? Do I want to be somebody who is defensive over every little thing? Do I want to be somebody who is abrasive over every little thing?’” How does this all relate to auditions? Well, it’s all about the attitude you bring to streaming. If you make a positive impression on viewers, as well as agency staff, you will do well in auditions. If you don’t, you will struggle. However, if you have the self-awareness to grow, you can make it in. Many VTubers have spoken about their plight of getting into agencies. Some have auditioned upwards of five, even ten times, to try and pursue their dreams at Hololive or NIJISANJI. Nina emphasized the fact “anybody can be a streamer, even if you look a certain way, even if you talk a certain way.” But there’s more to streaming than just being entertaining on Twitch or YouTube. “Get rid of the idea that content is bad and content is good. Your first stream will probably not be as good as your 10th year of streaming. But there’s so many variables that come into content and streaming, YouTube and YouTube videos. “We’ve seen paintings being sold for millions of dollars and I’m sure you’ve heard people go ‘I can draw that.’ But it’s not just art, it’s also marketing and so many other things. I do believe, if you keep creating really good content, it can rise to the top. But you will also need some good marketing behind it. “It’s not just your stream. It’s not just what you do on stream, it’s what you do off-stream. It’s the friendships that you make and play together so you’re always in people’s psyches together. It’s the plan you have for the next week. There’s so much in it.” And at the end of the day, being successful in streaming can be like math. It does require a degree of luck, but if you do your homework and pass the exam, you can make it somewhere. As long as your self-aware attitude shows growth, you can have a chance of making NIJISANJI or Hololive. “You don’t need to be the best, you just need to pass. I think if the person is trying to stream and trying to take it seriously… I don’t think there’s bad streamers. People are learning, people are developing their skills, and that’s it.”

  • Dillon Danis hit with restraining order against Nina Agdal – Dexerto

Dillon Danis hit with restraining order against Nina Agdal YouTube: Misfits BoxingNina Agdal’s temporary restraining order against Dillon Danis has been granted after her legal counsel brought up his reaction to her lawsuit in order to expedite the process. Dillon Danis is in hot water with Nina Agdal’s lawyers following several tweets he made on September 6. That day, model Nina Agdal — fiance to YouTube star Logan Paul, who is Danis’s upcoming boxing opponent — hit the mixed martial artist with a lawsuit, seeking $150k in damages and a restraining order against him. Danis immediately shot back at Agdal, whom he’d been antagonizing on social media for weeks with posts about her sexual history and even sharing explicit photos of the model. “Nina Adgal has filed a massive lawsuit against me,” he wrote in response to the situation. “She filed a restraining order against me and is seeking prison time, so the fight is in jeopardy if I’m in jail. This is actually wild, but I won’t stop f**k the system come get me. Logan Paul is a dead man walking.” Nina Agdal’s legal team notifies judge of Dillon Danis’s posts in bid to expedite restraining order Now, Agdal’s lawyers are aiming to expedite her restraining order, as claimed by advertising & ecommerce lawyer lawyer Rob Freund, who represents creators and brands. “Nina Agdal’s lawyers have alerted the judge to Dillon Danis’s tweets in response to the lawsuit she filed yesterday,” he wrote in a post on September 7. “They are using his tweet to request immediate entry of the restraining order.” Freud attached a photo of a court document saying as such, which read: “Thus, it is evident the defendant has notice of the lawsuit and Ms. Agdal’s request for temporary restraints.” “More significantly and concerning to Ms. Agdal is the Defendant’s contempt for the Justice System and indication he intends to move forward with his threatened conduct, explicitly stating that ‘[he] won’t stop’ and ‘f*ck the system, come get [him].’” Nina Agdal’s restraining order against Dillon Danis granted by court Later that same day, Freund confirmed that Agdal’s temporary restraining order against Danis had been granted by the court. The order prevents Danis and those “in active participation with him” from posting explicit photos of the model online. “Ordered that pending the September 12, 2023 hearing and until further Order of the Court, Defendant and all persons in active concert or participation with him are enjoined from posting sexually explicit photographs of the plaintiff on the internet without her consent,” the order reads. Danis has seemingly responded to this latest development, writing in a post on X: “The only way I would settle with Nina Agdal is if every dollar she receives from me goes to the victims of Cryptozoo.” Nina Agdal’s cybersecurity firm reveals her social media accounts were hacked That wasn’t the only big revelation to come out of this update. Fans also noticed another major point in her lawsuit, which has been spread all over social media at this point. It was revealed that Agdal had hired a cybersecurity firm, which discovered that her Snapchat account had been hacked. According to the documents, Agdal’s Snapchat account password had been changed twice in early 2022, with an IP address accessing her account from Phoenix, Arizona and New York, New York. “Upon learning all this information, I knew that my account had been compromised because I was not responsible for any of those activities,” Agdal said in the suit. “…I declare under penalty of perjury that the foregoing is true and correct.” This is just the latest installment of the ongoing saga between Dillon Danis and Paul / Agdal after it was learned that their October bout would have potentially been canceled, had he not deleted an explicit photo of Agdal that he’d posted on social media.

For those out of the loop, there’s some ongoing drama happening between YouTubers ‘Nikocado Avocado’ and ‘MoistCr1TiKaL,’ which began after Moist published a video expressing concern for Nikocado’s physical health. These concerns have been echoed across the internet after the YouTuber claimed he was disabled due to broken ribs, and now makes his mukbang videos — videos where content creators eat a wide assortment of food — in his bed, and often uploads thumbnails wearing a sleep apnea device. Nikocado quickly hit back at MoistCr1TiKaL’s video, taking issue with Moist’s comments about his appearance and claiming that he was receiving hateful comments as a result of the upload. You hypocrite!” “I am not gonna order Mr Boosta Boost,” he continued, poking fun at the name of the YouTuber’s food chain. Niko Omilana fills house with millions of packing peanuts in epic prank IG: NikoPopular YouTube prankster Niko Omilana stunned his housemates with an insane prank, filling their home with over 3 million packing peanuts. Niko Omilana and the Beta Squad are British YouTube’s most prominent rising stars. The group, consisting of a host of online content creators, has been going from strength to strength, with member Chunkz even finding himself thrown onto Sky Sports’ Premier League coverage for the 2020/21 season. A little closer to home, though, Chunkz was given a monumental surprise by his housemate Niko. Omilana, founder of the Niko Defence League, is known for his prank videos and decided that the Beta Squad should celebrate moving out in a truly unique way. In a YouTube video uploaded on September 18, Omilana explained that he wanted to do something special to celebrate them moving out. He decided that, for whatever reason, the perfect prank would be to fill the entire downstairs with packing peanuts. Needless to say, a lot of packing peanuts were required. The total came to just over 3 million, or 230 bags and an entire lorry. The biggest challenge was to get all the peanuts into the house without any of his housemates noticing, but Niko managed the task in a gruelling four hour period. He even received a visit from the police, who took issue with the fact that many of the unloaded bags were obstructing the road. This ultimately didn’t dent the prank though, with Omilana managing to execute it to perfection. Once the Beta Squad had the prank revealed to them, their attention turned to how the millions of peanuts would be cleaned up. In a hilarious twist, Omilana decided that the best thing to do would be to call a plumber, who seemed completely baffled at the “leak” he was asked to clean up. It’s one of the funniest videos we’ve seen in a long time, but we don’t envy whoever was actually tasked with clearing up the mess. Just another day with the brilliant Beta Squad.

This time around the Beta Squad star has placed the bizarre Squidward meme painting in the same room as the Mona Lisa in his latest video. In a YouTube video uploaded on December 25, Niko Omilana pulled an insane prank on the world-famous Louvre museum – where the notable Mona Lisa and the Venus de Milo artwork is held. It is the most-visited museum in the world but we’re almost certain none of its customers were anticipating a Squidward-inspired image. During the video, Omilana challenged his fans to recreate the popular handsome Squidward meme, which he then framed and took into the museum to place in the same room as the Mona Lisa. Surprisingly, the YouTube star managed to pull off the prank successfully and placed his painting among the other famous art in the museum. Once he put up the bizarre painting, Niko stayed around to ask the public their thoughts on his art. The YouTuber even asked the security of the Louvre museum for their opinions, who were oblivious that he was the one who put the painting up. As the Louvre began to close, security finally clocked what Niko had done, which lead to them calling the police who escorted him out of the museum. Luckily, as of now, the Louvre have decided to not press charges against the YouTube star, despite his actions being undoubtedly problematic for the famous French museum.

NikkieTutorials shades Ellen DeGeneres after appearing on her TV show TheEllenShow YouTube / NikkiTutorialsYouTube makeup guru NikkieTutorials revealed more details of the lead up to her debut on The Ellen DeGeneres Show after making her guest appearance. While she describes her time on the show as “a huge honor,” she revealed on a Dutch talk show (translated by YouTuber Sebastian Williams) that the culture around the show wasn’t as welcoming as she might have thought. Comparing the two shows, Ellen’s and De Wereld Draait Door (The World Keeps Turning), Nikkie lightly touched on the difference between them. When Nikkie was describing her experience before appearing on the show, host Matthijs van Nieuwkerk suggested that the backstage prep was more “cold and distant” than in the Netherlands. She agreed. “Well let’s just say there is a huge difference between this show and Ellen Degeneres’s, and I’m saying that in favor of [The World Keeps Turning],” she said, according to Williams’s translation. The makeup queen said that in the Dutch show, hosts and people would greet her before her on-stage appearance – something that she noticed was kind of missing before being a guest on DeGeneres’s show. While the beauty guru was trying to avoid the subject and focus on the developments to the Eurovision competition instead, she let out just enough to get people interested. The YouTuber made waves across the internet when she revealed she was transgender in an emotional, empowering video. The announcement has over 34 million views since being published on January 13. Nikkie reportedly became an instant target for interviews and talk show requests throughout the media landscape, but she decided to take up an invitation to appear on Degeneres’s show. NikkieTutorials reveals how she’s coping after armed robbery “nightmare” YouTube/NikkieTutorialsYouTube sensation Nikkie ‘NikkieTutorials’ de Jager has opened up about the traumatic experience she went through after being robbed at gunpoint in her first video since the incident. On August 8, it was revealed that an armed robbery took place at the Youtuber’s home in The Netherlands. While Nikkie was unharmed physically, her mental state was boomed, so understandably she had to put off on making videos for a few days. Now, a week later, Nikkie has returned to YouTube, thanking fans for their patience and heartwarming messages. In her emotional return video, Nikkie addressed her mental state and provided a bit of an update regarding the robbery. “A couple of days ago, Dylan and I were part of one of my worst nightmares,” she said, fighting back tears in the process. “We were robbed at gunpoint in our home. And I can’t tell you too much, because there’s still a very ongoing investigation.” She went on to stress that she and her fiance are doing okay, despite how emotional she appeared in her most recent video talking about the incident. “Having one of those worst nightmares come true is very surreal, but it also puts a lot of things in perspective,” she added. “Now more than ever, you realize that family is everything.” According to the YouTuber, she may be able to reveal everything about what transpired “one day,” but it would be impossible to do so now with her mental state and the law. Nikkie further added that with makeup being such a key part of her life, she’s using it as a coping mechanism and even created a new look using the Barbie Color Reveal Dolls for inspiration. While we may still not know the specifics about what happened during the armed robbery, at least Nikkie is ok and back to making the content she loves.

De Jager, otherwise known by her handle “NikkieTutorials,” appeared on The Ellen Show in late March, where she opened up about her viral video and how she was blackmailed to come out in front of the entire world. In the video, they explained that they had made the decision to put their dog, Bowser, to sleep. On July 14, Nikki then uploaded her first video since the controversy erupted to give people an update on what’s been going on since then. “So many people’s judgments of us, and where our headspace was, and our heart, and our decision making and everything, was just so inaccurate, it was jarring,” she said. “Being canceled is crazy. However, in the last few years, the celebrity prayer candle has risen in popularity as a gift item with Etsy shops and boutiques selling prayer candles replacing the saints with images of celebrities and influencers. But, these shops and sellers have by no means escaped criticism of appropriation. In 2017, Kim Kardashian West faced backlash for promoting a prayer candle with her own face on. Nikita has not explicitly addressed the outrage and continues to promote Dragun Beauty products.

This wouldn’t be the first time Nikita has spoken out about such accusations, though; the star also commented on alleged blackfishing in early July during a paparazzi interview with the Hollywood Fix. Explaining that she could no longer tan naturally due to a history of skin cancer in her family, Dragun claimed that she now spray tans, also citing her Mexican/Vietnamese heritage. (Topic begins at 0:48) “My mom is full Mexican and my dad is Vietnamese, and when I tan naturally, I get this dark. …I just have to spray tan. But people think in their minds that because, oh, it’s a spray tan, I can’t be this dark, but Latinas get dark. Asians get dark. People get tan. It’s just a tan.” Dragun has yet to speak out regarding the outrage around the latest texts she’s sent to fans, leaving many hoping for further clarification from the star on an issue that seems to continually crop up among her viewers.

  • Nikita Dragun hits back at Hype House Netflix show hate – Dexerto

Nikita Dragun hits back at Hype House Netflix show hate YouTube: Nikita Dragun / NetflixThe Hype House has scored its very own reality show with Netflix, but unfortunately, it doesn’t look like everyone is here for the ‘Hype’ — a reaction that Nikita Dragun doesn’t seem too bothered about. TikTok, like YouTube before it, boasts its own array of ‘content houses’: groups of high-profile content creators who live under a single roof with the aim of bolstering their combined content output. The Hype House is one such group. While it once housed such stars as Charli D’Amelio and Addison Rae, it has since become (in the famous words of Avani Gregg) just ‘the House’ — but that isn’t putting a stop to its starpower, it seems. On April 22, Netflix revealed that it would be streaming a reality show specifically centered around the chaotic lifestyle of the Hype House’s team of influencers, featuring such names as co-founder Thomas Petrou, music artist Chase Hudson, and even creators who aren’t directly in the group like beauty guru Nikita Dragun. Kouvr Annon, Nikita Dragun, Sienna Mae Gomez, Chase Hudson, Larri Merritt, Thomas Petrou, Alex Warren, and Jack Wright — a.k.a Hype House — will star in a new unscripted series that will reveal a side of themselves (and their relationships) that we rarely see! pic.twitter.com/NlRF5j0ZoF — Netflix (@netflix) April 22, 2021 Unfortunately, Netflix’s announcement wasn’t met with much ‘Hype’ from viewers; instead, many users threatened to cancel their subscriptions over the show, and some even blamed it for making the platform’s stock tank (although Alex Warren argued against this trend). Read More: How to watch Addison Rae in ‘He’s All That’ – Nikita Dragun has now spoken out on all the outrage surrounding the show in a pointed Instagram story, poignantly arguing that the haters are gonna hate and that she (and the others involved in the show) are going to thrive. “Everyone had a lot to say about the Netflix show, and that’s fine, but I just feel like, at the end of the day, you can’t get mad at people for winning and succeeding, and if you do, you’re literally just a hater,” she said. https://twitter.com/defnoodles/status/1387273879287046146?s=20 “I’ve never had that in me. I know people aren’t happy that I’m in it or whatever the ****, and I could care honestly less, but for those who do support me, I’m really excited because I always say this… this is so uncomfortable for me, because I think it shows a different side to my life.” Read More: Top 20 most followed TikTok accounts – Dragun went on to state that the show will likely completely upend viewers’ expectations but declined to “spoil” anything. Thomas Petrou has also commented on the backlash with a similar statement, claiming that he’s “excited” to be getting such a reaction out of people rather than indifference while also arguing that the show will be about more thank just TikTok dances. (Topic begins at 6:25) For now, it looks like we’ll just have to wait and see if this TikTok reality show can truly bring the ‘Hype’ of one of its biggest content houses.

  • Nikita Dragun roasted after getting totally ignored at Cardi B party – Dexerto

Nikita Dragun roasted after getting totally ignored at Cardi B party YouTube: Nikita DragunYouTuber Nikita Dragun is going viral on TikTok after she was ‘ignored’ while attending Cardi B’s birthday party, with some saying they’re getting “secondhand embarrassment” from the video. Nikita Dragun is an influencer who mainly posts videos relating to beauty on her YouTube channel which has over 3.5 million subscribers. Although she has a loyal following, she’s no stranger to controversy. She came under fire in September when people accused her of “exposing” famous people who had DMed her on social media in a video for her song ‘D*ck.’ Rapper Cardi B hosted her 29th birthday party on October 11, and along with the high-profile guest list, Nikita was in attendance, as captured by the paparazzi. However, the influencer is now being mocked online after a clip from The Hollywood Fix started going viral across social media. In the video, Nikita can be seen hugging Cardi B, after which she’s left awkwardly standing on her own, looking around the room, seemingly ignored by everyone else around her. Click here if TikTok doesn’t load The clip has been uploaded to multiple different platforms, and one version of it on TikTok has over 2 million views and almost 300,000 likes. In the comments, viewers didn’t hesitate in roasting the star. “LMFAOOO what did she think would happen when she’s with REAL celebrities & not influencers,” one comment with 23,000 likes read. Another with over 70,000 likes read: “I love how she wasn’t getting attention so she turned around so it looked like they were taking pics of her lmao.” Some said they had “secondhand embarrassment” on behalf of Nikita for being ignored like that. Though, others sympathized with her, as one user wrote: “Idk who she is so idk if she’s a good person but I deffo feel bad for her watching this video.” Although the video continues to gain traction on social media, Dragun has yet to comment on the clip.

  • Nikita Dragun drags critics accusing her of using too much Facetune – Dexerto

Nikita Dragun drags critics accusing her of using too much Facetune YouTube star and model Nikita Dragun is known for her glamorous looks and jaw-dropping Instagram pics – but some critics are accusing her of abusing photo editing app Facetune to achieve her looks. As Instagram culture and the internet become ever more pervasive in modern society, users across the net are using programs like Photoshop and Facetune to “fine tune” their appearance. While many social media celebrities have been accused of abusing such software in the past, one major personality is lashing out at haters bashing her for doing so. An Instagram account tagged YouTuber-turned-model Nikita Dragun in a post that featured three side-by-side images of the star, with the middle photo being allegedly Facetuned to look picture perfect by shrinking her waist. “She has a great body,” the caption read. “Why would she make herself look like an alien?” The text was followed by a slew of hashtags, such as “#fake,” “photoshopped,” and even “#kyliejenner.” Nikita took notice of the post and wasn’t going to take the shade sitting down, creating a hilarious clapback to the dig by putting some extreme Facetune filters on her “unedited” photos. To match the poster’s insult of “alien,” Nikita shrunk her waist in both side by side photos to the extreme, writing, “I love when these accounts try to expose me… Like you’re new here, I’m sponsored by Facetune at this point.” The YouTuber’s humorous comeback follows her soul-baring post nearly a month prior, where she faced her “insecurities” by posting a selfie with no makeup, “zits and all.” “I once said my biggest fear would be to post a pic without makeup or editing,” she wrote of the photo. “I finally realized how crazy that sounded,so here I am, zits and all.” https://www.instagram.com/p/B4s9ukBFvYo/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link Nikita isn’t the only YouTuber to have been slammed for Facetuning her pictures as of late, either: Tana Mongeau was likewise hit with a wave of backlash for heavily editing one of her photos at the People’s Choice Awards, with fans expressing disappointment that she’d changed her appearance so drastically. https://www.instagram.com/p/B4voFdiBkoO/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link For now, it looks like both internet stars are owning their Facetuned photos – and even learning to accept their “flaws,” in the process.

  • Nikita Dragun arrest sparks outrage as transgender influencer held in male prison – Dexerto

Nikita Dragun arrest sparks outrage as transgender influencer held in male prison YouTube: Nikita DragunTransgender influencer Nikita Dragun was arrested following an incident at a Miami hotel and was reportedly being held in a male prison, sparking outrage online. Nikita Dragun is a popular influencer who has been open about her experiences as a transgender woman in her content throughout the years. Dragun is best known for her beauty videos on YouTube, where she boasts over 3 million subscribers, as well as her work as a model. She has over 9 million followers on Instagram. On November 8, it was reported that Dragun was arrested on charges of felony battery on a police officer, misdemeanor disorderly conduct, and misdemeanor battery following an incident where she allegedly appeared nude at a public pool and threw water on both security guards and police officers. Although Nikita had posted a video of herself being arrested to Instagram a few days prior to these reports, the influencer hasn’t spoken publicly on the matter at the time of writing — but her arrest has sparked a conversation online. In an arrest affidavit obtained by the Daily Dot from the Miami-Dade Police Department, Dragun was reportedly listed as a male and is referred to using he/him pronouns. That’s not all; a viral video is circulating Twitter showing a conversation between Dragun and judge Mindy Glazer during her hearing on Tuesday, with the influencer asking if she “has to stay here in the men’s unit still.” Judge Glazer responded that she “doesn’t make the rules” at the facility and told Dragun to contact a bondsman to make separate accommodations for her. The tweet has garnered over 9,000 likes at the time of publishing and has sparked a heated conversation online, with the poster calling Dragun’s situation “f*cking inhumane.” “I’m not a fan of Nikita, but this is a violation of human rights and her safety,” they wrote. “This is not okay,” a commenter replied. “This is so vile, and the scary part is, Nikita is one of many,” another said. Nikita Dragun’s publicist claims influencer has been released from prison According to reports from TMZ and Local 10, Dragun has since been released from prison, as told by a statement from the influencer’s publicist, Jack Ketsoyan. “The situation with Nikita, who is legally female, being placed in a men’s unit of a Florida jail is extremely disturbing and dangerous,” Ketsoyan stated. “This decision made by the Miami-Dade County Corrections Department directly violates their protocol, which mandates that transgender inmates are classified and housed based on safety needs and gender identity. Nikita has been released and is now safe. Thank you for respecting her privacy during this time.”

  • Nikita Dragun calls out influencer who claims her setting spray was moldy – Dexerto

Nikita Dragun calls out influencer who claims her setting spray was moldy YouTube: cohlsworld, Nikita DragunYouTube star and beauty guru Nikita Dragun is coming under fire after seeming to throw shade at a fellow influencer who complained that Nikita’s line of setting sprays were moldy. As the beauty industry continues to evolve, more and more makeup influencers are releasing their own product lines; from Patrick Starrr’s ‘One Size’ line to James Charles’ famous Morphe palette, there’s no shortage of products for fans to get their hands on these days. Nikita Dragun is one of these influencers. The YouTuber unveiled her very own beauty line, Dragun Beauty, a little over two years ago — but one influencer on her PR list has sparked drama surrounding her ‘Forever Fantasy’ setting spray. On January 12, YouTuber ‘cohlsworld’ uploaded a video that appeared to show dark flakes floating around in the purple bottle of setting spray, claiming that it “legit looks like mold.” Dragun spoke out on the claim in a series of videos posted to her Instagram stories, stating that a “small batch” of her setting spray that had been sent out in PR packages had “crystallized ever so slightly.” “It’s completely fine,” Dragun said. “These things happen. We are a vegan and cruelty-free brand. Mistakes happen!” However, the outrage around the incident isn’t limited to the potential mold in the spray; rather, it’s Dragun’s reaction to the influencer who uploaded the video, with Dragun saying, “Anyone will do anything to try to get a view these days, even though they’re still irrelevant.” Nikita Dragun said a small batch of the setting spray malfunctioned and crystalized. She said she sent an email to her PR list offering to replace the setting sprays. She then shaded the influencer who called her out again saying people will do anything for views these days. pic.twitter.com/cphiHeGbcS — Def Noodles (@defnoodles) January 19, 2021 “It’s not easy to be a female entrepreneur of a small business,” she continued. “But I guess it comes with the territory.” Dragun also uploaded a captioned photo to her stories thanking her critics and stating that she loves criticism “because I want to learn and grow.” “However, those individuals who intentionally go out of their way to try to be dramatic and rude to get views… like you couldn’t even see the email because you’re not on the PR list. That’s not how you gain success boo boo.” It looks like fans and critics are divided regarding her response to the matter, with many comparing this latest incident to Jaclyn Hill’s infamous lipstick fiasco of 2019. For now, it doesn’t look like Nikita is bothered — after all, this wouldn’t be the first time she’s been harangued by commenters in the past few months, by far.

  • NIJISANJI’s Mika Melatika on streamers putting up a facade: “Being depressed… isn’t content” – Dexerto

NIJISANJI’s Mika Melatika on streamers putting up a facade: “Being depressed… isn’t content” YouTube: Mika MelatikaStreamers and content creators are there to entertain their viewers. At times, this is with total disregard for their mental health. NIJISANJI VTuber Mika Melatika opened up about this facade, saying it can be tough because “being depressed… isn’t content”. Streamers have been much more open in talking about mental health, with many detailing experiences with burn out and the grind behind the screen. VTubers are not immune to this. They might be virtual models on a screen, but there’s a person behind them. And sometimes with the high-energy, bubbly attitudes in the space, it can be quite hard to keep up that upbeat emotion. While going through some of her viewers’ “unpopular opinions”, NIJISANJI’s Mika Melatika spoke at length about one touching on VTubers trying to “avoid repressing their true selves but also [keeping] that air or facade to be happy and successful.” This was echoed by Mika, who opened up on her own struggles with imposter syndrome after she exploded in 2022 to become NIJISANJI’s biggest Indonesian VTuber. “As a VTuber, who is working for a company, I will have to say this is true,” she said on stream. “I had a phase where I did have imposter syndrome [at] the start. I had imposter syndrome early last year, but that was because I had a massive boost in subscribers suddenly, and because of that, I felt like I don’t deserve it and they like me for someone who isn’t myself.” Dealing with the external pressures of numbers and viewer expectations ramping up does take a toll on streamers. After all, behind the virtual model is a human entertaining and creating content. In an agency, there’s a bit of added pressure to keep the content ticking over even if you’re not feeling 100%. But there’s no point being downtrodden live on stream either as that just “isn’t content” in Mika’s eyes. “There are a lot of times where during that day I am like ‘I have to stream today, but I am so insanely depressed,’” she continued. “I can’t get out of bed, I have no motivation to live, I’m just depressed that day. “Am I a liar for being happy and having this happy facade? No, because that’s content. I’m not here being like ‘hi guys, I’m your bestie.’ I’m not. I’m a content creator. Being depressed on stream for four hours isn’t content.” Streaming can help in some regards, she admitted, in terms of giving her a routine to follow: “Sometimes I’m like ‘I have to get out of bed because I have to stream’ and because I get out of bed, I’m already out of bed and I forget about it. It does make me feel better, so it’s not like it’s a bad thing. “There are some games where it’s so bad where after my stream I’m like ‘I just have to go to bed. I can’t do it today.’ There have been those days, but 90% of the time, I feel better. So it’s fine. You’re going to have to force yourself to do basic normal tasks when you have issues, right?” But it’s a wave she and many other influencers have to ride, and the mental toll can rack up even if it’s hard to explain. “It’s called a disorder for a reason. People don’t just say depressed because they’re sad for a reason, you know what I mean? It just happens.”

Nijisanji’s Hex Haywire apologizes after backlash from Vtuber community over “icky” roleplay YouTube: Hex HaywireNijisanji EN’s Hex Haywire has apologized after coming under fire for comments made during a recent Yandere roleplay stream. The XSOLEIL member insinuated that it’s okay for female partners to kiss other women but not men. Hex is a male vtuber and member of Nijisanji’s seventh generation, XSOLEIL. On top of his regular gaming content, Haywire is well known for his ASMR and roleplay streams. His roleplay streams tend to fall on the riskier side and often get quite personal. However, this time around, some viewers claim Hex may have gone too far, calling out a particular comment he made. Hex criticized for comments during Yandere roleplay stream During a recent roleplay stream, Nijisanji’s Hex Haywire made a controversial remark that attracted the attention of the vtuber community. The XSEOLEIL member suggested that it’s okay for female partners to kiss other women but not men. Addressing his audience Hex said: “It’s fine to give a lot of kisses to a cute girl that was in you last night, that’s fine. Women are a different story. Women suffer enough and get kisses from another girl, that’s adorable. But other men? No, no no we must talk about that.” One vocal response on Twitter called Hex Haywire out for these comments saying they were “sick and tired,” of lesbian relationships not being taken seriously. The same user then labeled the Nijisanji member’s way of thinking as “icky.” Another user followed up with a damning reaction: “Everything I see of this man is against my will.” Hex apologizes for kissing comment On his April 13 stream, Hex addressed both his comments and the reaction of the vtuber community. He admitted to being confused by the response at first but understood his mistake after educating himself. “I looked into the topic myself, read about it and now I understand why nonchalant comments like that can be hurtful,” Hex Haywire said in his apology. “I’m sorry for perpetuating detrimental [stereotypes] like that.”

NIJISANJI announce Yugo Asuma’s graduation, effective immediately YouTube: Yugo AsumaNIJISANJI Noctyx member Yugo Asuma has graduated from the VTuber agency, effective immediately from December 14. The English star had not streamed for weeks, and was floating in and out of hiatus before the sudden announcement. Yugo Asuma was one of NIJISANJI’s breakout stars from Noctyx, the all-male group which, alongside Luxiem, cemented the agency’s place in the English VTuber sphere. However the DJ from the group has announced his sudden graduation on December 14. NIJISANJI put out a statement, saying: “Numerous discussions have been held with Yugo Asuma on what it means to be a Liver affiliated with a company. “However, despite our discussions many aspects of his activities and behavior as a Liver could not be accepted as a company. “After much deliberation between both parties, as a company who supports many Livers from NIJISANJI and NIJSIANJI EN, we have decided to have Yugo Asuma graduate.” It comes after Yugo Asuma said they would be taking a week off on November 28, but didn’t return for three weeks. The announcement from ANYCOLOR is the first communication regarding the star since the start of December. “Hello my lovely Yuguys,” Yugo said in their last tweet on December 1. “I really wanna tell you that you are all awesome. Your existence means a lot. I’m sorry that I am not good enough to satisfy all of you but your existence means a lot. I love you and I hope you are sharing love to everyone.” Yugo Asuma’s social media accounts and videos are being shut down straight away, with no graduation stream planned for the Noctyx member. “Yugo Asuma will cease all Liver activities, and his YouTube Channel, Twitter, and other social media accounts will be made private, and the sale of merchandise and voice content will also be suspended,” NIJISANJI’s statement added. Some of Yugo Asuma’s genmates have spoken out on his sudden graduation, including Fulgur Ovid. “We are going to do our best to weather this storm as we always have,” he said. “In the meantime please give us patience to compose our thoughts and allow everyone to grieve and deal with the news however they need to. “Wherever our DJ next chooses to perform I’m sure they’ll bring more light and love to all those around them. Go finish off those androids, kyoudai. You’ve got this.” Uki Violeta said the news took the group by surprise: “We’re currently still processing and digesting everything right now, so please give us time. Our hearts are hurting, and we know yours are too.” Yugo Asuma’s graduation is the second this month for NIJISANJI, with Axia Krone graduating from the Japanese branch two weeks ago. Yugo’s departure is also the first for NIJISANJI EN, who recently released its seventh wave in XSOLEIL.

  • NIJISANJI VTubers start mega Minecraft rebuild after Luca Kaneshiro accident – Dexerto

NIJISANJI VTubers start mega Minecraft rebuild after Luca Kaneshiro accident YouTube: Luca KaneshiroNIJISANJI EN’s joint Minecraft server was destroyed after Luca Kaneshiro accidentally deleted half of their village with a bugged biome change. Instead of dwelling on it though, more than a dozen Livers got together to start a mega rebuild on September 15. NIJISANJI EN once boasted a great Minecraft server full of creations from all talents. It was a place where the various VTubers would hang out and play games together in a communal spot. However it was accidentally destroyed on September 7 by Luca Kaneshiro due to an unfortunate set of circumstances. Luca was attempting to set up a server to play with fellow Liver Elira, but didn’t realize what server he was controlling at the time. Luca Kaneshiro accidentally deleted part of the NIJISANJI Minecraft server, and with it a ton of creations made not only by him but a number of members. He tried finding a backup copy of the server, but it overwrote itself just after the accident. It included his house and farm, dozens more buildings, and even the NIJISANJI logo: “I didn’t know until I woke up [the next day] that it was messed up,” he said after the incident. “It was 6am in the morning too.” “I tried flattening it out for six hours. Everyone was streaming and I was doing this in the background. Because the server got reverted back, for some reason when we switched it back to it just spawned this really big biome. “I messed up so bad. I was being so careless as well. I didn’t know I was dealing with a server that wasn’t mine.” The accident sprung an opportunity — not just a private session remaking everything, but a big rebuilding collab. “All of them weren’t sad about it at all. I trust them when they say that — they’re not mad at all. As soon as I told them what happened, they were like ‘we can rebuild everything again. Now that it’s all flattened out we can rebuild it even better.’ I was so confused, shouldn’t you be angry? “They are kind of disappointed that this happened, but they’re like ‘it’s fine’. It gives us an opportunity to work on it more.” A week later, on September 15, that’s exactly what NIJISANJI EN did. More than a dozen EN VTubers joined the rebuilding session. Instead of trying to create stuff in the old server, they made an entirely new map to rebuild on. They managed to copy over elements using WorldEdit, like the handmade logo and specific buildings. They were sure to take a final group photo together — but even that was accidentally ruined by Luca who teleported a ton of mobs onto everyone. It was a massive affair as everyone laughed away the pain of losing everything, making new memories along the way. Luca himself was in his element trying to make sure everything was okay, putting things together for everyone and running around doing the menial tasks. It’ll be some time until it’s back to its former glory — or even beyond that — so NIJISANJI EN’s Minecraft server is going to get plenty of attention in the meantime.

NIJISANJI management is trying to recover the accounts. Top VTuber agency NIJISANJI is warning fans to not interact with hacked TikTok accounts of their members, as well as working to try and recover them as more than 10 talents have had their work on the platform wiped from the internet. In a statement on June 27, NIJISANJI said “it has been discovered some of our SNS [social network] accounts have been illegally accessed by a third party.” The hack was discovered days earlier on June 25, with Yuhi Riri and Elu among the first victims. Their accounts were taken over by a coordinated group, who then changed their usernames and privated all videos. Some of the idols targeted in the attack had already graduated from NIJISANJI, like Umiyashano Kami. Individual talents have also addressed the issue publicly. Yuki Chihiro, whose 25,000 follower account was hit by the hack, said “I think some people followed me with confidence because of the official checkmark, but it is okay to unfollow [my TikTok account].” Fushimi Gaku also spoke out about the hack, saying he lost access to his account on the night of June 26. “I’m leaving it to NIJISANJI management… but thank you for your cooperation,” he said. https://twitter.com/Chihiro_yuki23/status/1541624789701238784 Dexerto has been able to confirm 11 accounts have been taken down in the hack. • NIJISANJI VTuber Mika Melatika’s friends thought she was doing OnlyFans – Dexerto

NIJISANJI VTuber Mika Melatika’s friends thought she was doing OnlyFans YouTube: Mika MelatikaNIJISANJI VTuber Mika Melatika is just that — a VTuber. However while touching on the subject of work with friends at a party, she had to explain away some misconceptions, including a big one of her being an OnlyFans creator. Being a VTuber can make it hard to explain your job. Not only is streaming a cutting-edge entertainment business, but how do you add on the fact you don’t show your face and use an avatar instead? What if you’re maintaining your privacy? It’s a conundrum many face, especially agency VTubers. It can be written into their contracts — like NIJISANJI’s Mika Melatika’s — about what they can and can’t say or show, even off-stream. So when Mika Melatika went to a party with friends recently and made small talk about her work, she tried to move the conversation along as fast as possible: “One of them asked me ‘hey Mika, so what are you doing now? Like what are you doing nowadays?’ I can’t really say anything because I am under a contract so I’m not going to be like ‘oh, I stream!’ “I said ‘oh I’m just working, anyways’ and I changed the topic.” Sometimes it’s all said and done there, but not in Mika’s case. Instead, one friend kept pushing the issue because they had something else in mind. “One of my friends really didn’t want to change the topic and they literally said ‘Mika, you should be careful!’ I was like ‘why?’ They said ‘you know you can put rules in your description’ and when they said that, I shat myself. “First of all, does that mean they know me? Second of all, they read my rules? Who does that? I was like ‘what do you mean the rules in my description’ and they’re like ‘rules so they don’t abuse it, you know, the stuff you produce.’ “I was like ‘oh my God what do you mean?’ Now are you telling me that not only do you know, but there is drama and controversies revolving around me, and someone has been abusing my content? I was freaking out — I want to know what to know what’s happening, but I don’t want to confirm their suspicion. What if they were just talking out of their ass and I confirm it?” As the conversation pushed forward, it became clear what the friend was alluding to: OnlyFans. As much as Mika tried to deflect the conversation from what she was doing, the absence of confirmation — plus some rumor million behind closed doors — left some raised eyebrows. “They were like ‘okay Mika, I’m just going to say this but I’m sure you know you’ve been doing this for a while, but sometimes when someone pays for a subscription, they don’t want to be the only ones seeing it, so they’re going to be showing pictures to other people, and then these other people aren’t going to pay for your subscriptions and then you’re just going to be losing customers.’ “We went on a conversation about it and yes, my friends genuinely believed for six months now that I have an OnlyFans. I asked them what makes you think I am taking pictures of my t*tties and posting them on OnlyFans?” How it got to this point is quite possibly the best part of the story though. It’s classic parental gossip. Apparently Mika’s roommate’s grandmother got wind of what she was doing, kind of, and spread the word. Instead of saying she was a VTuber though, without having any knowledge of what that was, she just gave her a vague title of “night worker” which definitely blew things out of proportion. “Just follow me on this one — my roommate’s talk to their grandmothers like ‘Mika has been having this stable job for a year,’ and this is quote-unquote, ‘like she’s literally going to start working at 8PM, sometimes she starts working at 10PM, sometimes she’s done at 4AM. There’s a lot of people, people would watch her, and she just does stuff on the internet and then people give her money.’” The biggest fear now for Mika is how far that information has spread. It’s not like she can just turn around and say she’s a VTuber, but clearing the record is going to be tough. She has got a foolproof plan for now while she goes around making sure the air is cleared: “Now I don’t know who knows. I have to say ‘I have work to do, I don’t do OnlyFans by the way.’”

  • NIJISANJI VTuber Miyu Ottavia announces graduation after three years – Dexerto

NIJISANJI VTuber Miyu Ottavia announces graduation after three years YouTube: Miyu OttaviaNIJISANJI VTuber Miyu Ottavia is graduating from the agency, just shy of three years from her debut in December 2019. The Indonesian star will finish streaming on November 27. Miyu Ottavia is one of NIJISANJI’s longest-standing English-speaking talents. While originally part of the now-defunct Indonesian branch of the VTuber agency, she quickly became an inspiration for many of the talents debuting there. However, after accruing 100,000 subscribers over three years, she is now moving on and graduating from NIJISANJI. She announced the move on November 2, four weeks ahead of her departure date. “I’ve been wondering what to write and I’m not sure if I could convey everything here,” she opened her statement with. “It was a really hard decision for me to make, but with this, I’m announcing my graduation will take place on November 27. “I don’t think I’ve ever been able to say thanks to you properly, but I’d like to thank you for sparing your time to accompany me, listening to my singing, and turning into my stream even on your busy days. “It’s sad, but let’s have fun together with the remaining time we have left!” The star received an outpouring of support from her fellow NIJISANJI Livers, none more so than Millie Parfait: “Miyu I know that this must’ve been a hard decision and it’s so sad to see you go. I truly love your Yoru ni Kakeru cover and I listen to it a lot. “When I saw our VTL duet script, I was so happy that I downloaded your lines and tried to match it with yours. I’m sorry I suck at DMs but whenever we talk it makes me happy. Hoping we get to have an opportunity to collab before you go.” The wider VTuber community, including Hololive’s Kureiji Ollie and VShojo’s Zentreya, also left farewell messages on Miyu’s post. Miyu Ottavia was known for her covers and karaoke, while also often streaming FPS games like Apex Legends and more recently Overwatch 2. She will keep streaming plenty all the way up to her November 27 graduation.

  • NIJISANJI VTuber Fulgur Ovid takes break from streaming due to health – Dexerto

NIJISANJI VTuber Fulgur Ovid takes break from streaming due to health NisanjiOne of NIJISANJI’s VTubers, Fulgur Ovid, has just been confirmed to be on hiatus due to personal health reasons. There are few trending career paths out there experiencing a boom in popularity quite like VTubing is, and it isn’t hard to see why. Fans love the adorable, anime-like avatars the streamers use to represent themselves, as well as their quirky personalities. Streaming and working as a VTuber, just like doing any job, can quickly take its toll on content creators. This rings especially true if the streamer is suffering from unrelated personal circumstances, whether those be in regard to their family life or their health. NIJISANJI‘s beloved VTuber Fulgur Ovid had seemingly taken a mysterious break from his role, only for the agency itself to later chime in to confirm that the streamer was on hiatus. Fulgur is said to be struggling with his health, but he has assured fans that he will eventually return. VTuber Fulgur Ovid’s hiatus announced by NIJISANJI On April 24, Fulgur Ovid took to Twitter to announce that he would be taking a short break due to personal reasons. He did not specify much more, instead simply stating that he will follow up next with a Tweet once he is ready with a new schedule. At that point, the streamer had only cancelled his zatsudan streams, or streams in which the audience can directly engage with the VTuber. This would not, however, be the end of his break. NIJISANJI, the VTubing agency that Fulgur streams with, followed up on May 2 by Tweeting that the streamer was officially going on a hiatus. They specified a bit more than Fulgur had initially, citing his health as the reason for the more extensive break from activity. Fans and fellow VTubers alike responded to the announcement, sharing their love for the streamer and hope that he recovers soon. Many expressed concern over his health while also taking comfort in the fact that he was stepping away from work to focus on his health as necessary. Some wrote to thank him for the update while others simply commented, “Get well soon.” The situation is reminiscent of Ironmouse’s, as she had opened up about her struggles with physical health and wellbeing. Responding similarly, Ironmouse‘s fans wanted to see her thrive rather than simply survive. Many donated to charities for the immunocompromised while others stuck up for her, stating that the most important thing would always be her well-being.

  • NIJISANJI VTuber Hyakumantenbara Salome hits 1 million YouTube subs in record time – Dexerto

NIJISANJI VTuber Hyakumantenbara Salome hits 1 million YouTube subs in record time YouTube: Hyakumantenbara SalomeNIJISANJI star Hyakumantenbara Salome has broken VTuber records by smashing through the 1 million YouTube subscriber mark, two weeks following her debut. She beat the record set by Hololive’s Gawr Gura with more than three weeks to spare. 1 million points in the name, 1 million YouTube subscribers in the game. Hyakumantenbara Salome is in every sense of the word a viral internet superstar, and her meteoric rise has broken YouTube records in the VTubing community. The NIJISANJI JP talent’s wild May debut has built up a flood of momentum not seen before. Two weeks on from her debut, Hyakumantenbara Salome has hit 1 million YouTube subscribers. It’s a massive achievement in its own right, but doing so in 13 days and a handful of hours has blown out the rise of various other VTubers to be the fastest yet. Salome’s 13 days dwarfs the previous VTuber record set by Hololive enigma Gawr Gura, who reached 1 million YouTube subscribers 39 days after her debut in 2020. It’s also the fifth-fastest climb to 1 million in Japanese YouTube history. The NIJISANJI star reacted to the news on Twitter with a play on her name and her dream of becoming the “1 million point lady”. “NIJISANJI livers, management, and fans who have supported me… thank you very much to everyone,” she said. Her tweet got more than 250,000 likes within 24 hours. VTubers from all agencies, not just NIJISANJI, congratulated Salome for her tremendous achievement. She wasn’t just the fastest VTuber to reach one million either — she also broke the record set by Hololive’s Sakamata Chloe in reaching 500,000 subscribers too. Her rise was potentially spurred on by a lot of mystery surrounding her debut. There were hints Salome would be an alter-ego of other NIJISANJI stars, but the star is just truly, authentically herself. The star has planned a commemorative stream on June 8 at 11PM JST to celebrate with fans.

  • NIJISANJI star Axia Krone graduates after long hiatus due to harassment – Dexerto

NIJISANJI star Axia Krone graduates after long hiatus due to harassment YouTube: Axia KroneNIJISANJI star Axia Krone is graduating from the VTuber agency, effectively immediately on December 1. The Japanese star took a long hiatus back in August due to harassment, only returning to announce his exit. Axia Krone was once a rising star of NIJISANJI Japan, garnering a huge amount of support over his first year of streaming for the VTuber agency. However he faced a targeted harassment campaign, which affected him deeply. While he shrugged it off for many months, it boiled over in August 2022. He streamed for one final time on August 1, before making an announcement on August 17 with his indefinite hiatus. “I’ve been reaching out to take legal action against defamation,” he said at the time, according to a translation. “The slander of my own streams and other livers that has been happening recently… I want to take time to properly settle this and restart my activities feeling great.” He also mentioned he was not a fan of the atmosphere of his streams after debuting, with fans coddling him like they were his mother. He tried to change the tone over time, especially as attacks ramped up against him and his collab partners, but nothing really changed in his eyes. “I am just a streamer who plays games; don’t pretend to be my girlfriend and have strange dreams about me,” he continued. After an extended break, Axia Krone would never actually make his return. Instead he would only break his hiatus on December 1 to announce his graduation, effective immediately, vanishing without a final stream. “The reason is I felt it was difficult to continue my activities because what I wanted to do and the direction of [NIJISANJI] did not match,” he said in his own statement according to the translation. “It was a short period, but I was very happy to be able to share the fun with many people. Thank you very much to those who have supported me until now, and those who have taken care of me.” NIJISANJI also released a statement, adding they accepted the reasons for his graduation and thanking those who supported him. It comes after NIJISANJI reportedly filed numerous lawsuits against fans online for harassing and stalking their creators. The agency reportedly handled 88 cases across 12 months up to Sepetember 2022.

  • NIJISANJI star Enna Alouette asks fans to stop clipping unarchived streams – Dexerto

NIJISANJI star Enna Alouette asks fans to stop clipping unarchived streams YouTube: Enna AlouetteEnna Alouette has been throwing some unarchived streams into the mix for her Aloupeeps, but clippers have been making them public. After an entire stream was uploaded by a third-party, the NIJISANJI star nudged fans to stop clipping those streams as it affects her future content schedule. It’s been a busy period for Enna Alouette. The NIJISANJI VTuber hit 400,000 subscribers in mid-August, and the third English generation member is gearing up for her first anniversary in October. However as her stream schedule ramps up with crazy collaborations, she has been trying to do some more personal streams to her dedicated Alouettes, unarchiving them for later rebroadcast. It’s an unofficial rule in the VTuber community if a big streamer, agency-signed or independent, streams without archiving (saving the VOD), fans should do their best to not recirculate clips from it. That hasn’t stopped some from targeting Enna’s recent English karaoke stream on September 3 as she pushed through a bit of a fever to put on a show for her Aloupeeps. She was planning on rebroadcasting it at a later date, but the clips circulating make that harder. In response, the star asked fans to be considerate of what they clip as it can impact her future content. “I’ve been told there’s been a lot of clipping on my unarchived English karaoke, and while I super appreciate that, technically that’s not really supposed to happen,” Enna said on Twitter. “There’s even the entire stream uploaded which defeats the purpose of my rebroadcast. She made a plea to clippers out there to take down their VODs of the unarchived stream, and asked her followers to stay vigilant and look out for any clips. Enna doesn’t want her fans to start pestering clippers though — it’s just a reminder — and any archived stream is fair game. “If possible, please take it down or if you see it, please let the people who have been uploading, know! There’s not much I can really do about it but I promise we can do more English karaoke since they are going to be unarchived. “Don’t be upset at the people who were uploading the unarchived stream. I didn’t clarify it and even if it were still public it doesn’t affect me directly. Please never show any sort of aggression to anybody on my behalf, gentle reminders only.” Most have obliged with the liver’s request since the tweet, and with more karaoke to come, there won’t be any shortage of chances to see her perform. And if you really wanted to see that specific karaoke, it’s being rebroadcast on September 10 for all to see.

  • NIJISANJI smashes viewership record in 2022 as new VTubers settle in – Dexerto

NIJISANJI smashes viewership record in 2022 as new VTubers settle in YouTube: Maria MarionetteNIJISANJI has broken its viewership record in 2022 as the VTuber agency continues to grow with plenty of new debuts. While it’s had its fair share of graduations, viewership numbers continue to grow in all regions, especially in the English space. VTubing has only continued its explosive growth in 2022. As viewership numbers rise on both YouTube and Twitch, and interest in the space expands after the 2020 boom, individual agencies are now posting some of their best results yet. For ANYCOLOR and NIJISANJI, those results are public due to their listing on the Tokyo Stock Exchange. The company has just reported their viewership numbers for 2022 to the end of October, and it shows a notable increase as they bring in more talents. Their YouTube viewing time has crested 191 million hours in both quarters of the 2022/23 financial year, starting in April, according to their December 15 report. This is split similarly across all branches excluding VirtuaReal, which isn’t included in the statistics. NIJISANJI EN, despite making up 15.4% of the agency’s talents, make up about 19% of all viewership with 73 million hours in the last six months. NIJISANJI’s Japanese Livers account for 80% of the hours, while the final 1% is their formerly-distinct Indonesian and Korean talents. The numbers also don’t include Twitch streams, which more NIJISANJI talents are taking up. Yuki Chihiro is the most notable, with the Japanese Liver breaking into the top 10 female streamers worldwide with her broadcasts on both YouTube and Twitch. The number of talents didn’t change between the first and second quarters of 2022 for reporting’s sake, but the recent debut of XSOLEIL will affect these numbers for Q3 2022, as well as the graduations of Miyu Ottavia, Axia Krone, and Yugo Asuma. With more events on the horizon, and a big profit posted in the latest quarter, the future’s looking bright for NIJISANJI if they can continue their growth.

  • NIJISANJI star Selen Tatsuki is “ready for a break” after new outfit reveal – Dexerto

NIJISANJI star Selen Tatsuki is “ready for a break” after new outfit reveal YouTube: Selen TatsukiIt’s been a hectic few months for NIJISANJI star Selen Tatsuki. From her jam-packed schedule to hitting YouTube milestones, the sky dragon is tired. With one last thing in her schedule — OBSYDIA’s new outfit reveal — the dragon racer is “looking forward to [her] break” from streaming. Selen Tatsuki has been flat out trying to give her beloved dragoons plenty of great content over the last few months. Having celebrated major milestones like reaching 500,000 subscribers on YouTube, it’s just been non-stop action for the sky dragon. Now with the content slowly dying down following the group’s one-year anniversary in July 2022, she’s ready to take a break. There’s just one thing left in her schedule, OBSYDIA’s new outfit reveal. It’s the NIJISANJI EN generation’s first model update since their debuts, and it came as a surprise for fans too. For Selen though, it was just the cherry on top of all her tasks before that much needed time off. “Now you guys know why I’ve been tired almost every day,” she laughed on stream. “Since the start of August because literally right after the anniversary, we were told that it’s time to prep for outfit reveal and I was like ‘oh’. “So I’ve been basically setting up the stream for the outfit reveal — I hope you guys like the stream. I’m just going to say that!” Selen reportedly tried to knock back the outfit reveal to sometime in September so she could catch her breath between events and collaborations. However management forced her to do it no later than August 29 — so that’s exactly when she’s doing it. “The reason why my outfit reveal is so late is because I told management that I literally cannot do it earlier. I was like ‘I need time,’” she continued. “The latest I could do was August 29. I needed more time between my projects because I was so ready to be like ‘nope, nothing.’” However, once it’s done, the sky dragon will be taking a little break — her first major one since debuting — to reset the batteries. And in her words she’s “ready to f**king hibernate. “I’m just so looking forward to my break. It’s so close! Just two more weeks, and then finally I’ll be free!” As for what Selen will do during her break? She hasn’t yet shared that information, but maybe some Apex grinding off-stream could be on the cards. Even then she’s said she would go on break before but has constantly booked herself into numerous collabs. Between now and then though there’s still an outfit reveal to do, and the one thing she hopes is her beloved dragoons at least find it “cool”.

  • Nijisanji reveals new Ethyria merch amidst 2nd Anniversary celebrations – Dexerto

Nijisanji reveals new Ethyria merch amidst 2nd Anniversary celebrations NijisanjiNijisanji has unveiled a range of exciting new merchandise to celebrate the upcoming 2nd Anniversary of Ethyria, its second-ever English-speaking wave. Over a period of two and a half years, Nijisanji EN has debuted 35 Livers across eight generations with Krisis being the most recent in June 2023. However, the VTuber agency’s Western branch wasn’t always so vast with the first few generations consisting of just a handful of Livers. Among these was the second-generation Ethyria, originally consisting of Nina Kosaka, Millie Parfait, Enna Alouette, and Reimu Endou. Nina has since graduated after what she described as a “humbling,” experience but the party must go on, and losing a member isn’t going to stop Ethyria from celebrating everything they’ve achieved. Nijisanji EN unveils Ethyria 2nd Anniversary merchandise Nijisanji has revealed a collection of merchandise to celebrate Ethyria’s 2nd Anniversary following the group’s debuts two years ago. • NIJISANJI posts major profit as VTuber agency continues skyrocketing success – Dexerto

NIJISANJI posts major profit as VTuber agency continues skyrocketing success NIJISANJIANYCOLOR, the company behind mega VTuber agency NIJISANJI, has posted a record profit in Q2 2022/23, according to Japanese financial listings. It comes as the medium continues its massive growth, with plenty of new debuts and events. NIJISANJI is known for its vast range of talents, with more than 200 worldwide across all of its divisions in Japan, China, South Korea, Indonesia, and the West. They’ve leveraged that growth to go “public”, becoming the first VTuber agency to be listed on a global stock exchange. That means their financial records are open for all, and their recent report for the Q2 2022/23 quarter highlights significant growth among their success. The company posted nearly 12 billion Japanese Yen in revenue, or around $87.13 million in USD. This includes a net profit of 2.99 billion JPY, or $21.76 million USD across the last three months. It breaks all expectations ANYCOLOR and NIJISANJI had at the start of the year, with their profit nearly doubling from the 2021/22 financial year to the current one. ANYCOLOR is the only publicly-listed VTuber agency, having a spot on the Tokyo Stock Exchange as part of their Growth Market. The agency is looking to upgrade its status as a Prime Market company, highlighting its new-found stability and intent for long-term development. The revenue numbers don’t stop there though. According to the December 15 report, each Japanese VTuber in the agency makes around 40 million JPY for the company every three months, or around $290,000 USD. For NIJISANJI EN and its 26 Livers at the time of the reports publishing — taking into account the figures of recently graduated star Yugo Asuma — that balloons out to 55 million JPY, or around $400,000 USD. That isn’t how much each VTuber is making on average, but how much money they’re bringing into the company. Most of this money is through “commerce” such as merchandise, but live streaming also makes up a significant portion of revenue. Live events, such as Meet and Greets and NIJIfes, also contribute to the total. It’s unclear how each stream is split between ANYCOLOR and its VTubers. Despite the positive report, ANYCOLOR’s stock price has suffered significantly in December. It has fallen 45% in the past month to 6,520 JPY a share at the time of publishing. It is still up 18% for the year, but the lifting of ANYCOLOR’s share lock-up from their earlier IPO leading to major selling activity, as well as Yugo Asuma and Axia Krone’s recent graduations, have seen it slide dramatically. As for what the future holds? NIJISANJI is profitable and expects to grow much further. With nearly 300 employees on the books supporting the talents and growing the VTubing space, including through their Virtual Talent Academy, the ceiling is still yet to be broken.

  • NIJISANJI’s Nina Kosaka opens up on being Ethyria’s ‘black sheep’ at debut – Dexerto

NIJISANJI’s Nina Kosaka opens up on being Ethyria’s ‘black sheep’ at debut YouTube: Nina KosakaNIJISANJI’s EN VTuber group Ethyria is celebrating their first anniversary, and the four of them have been reflecting on the last year. This included Nina Kosaka opening up about being the ‘black sheep’ at debut, but growing into her role as Ethyria’s ‘mom’ and bonding with her genmates. VTubers, especially in an agency, may identify more broadly with who they’re signed to, but there’s a closer personal connection within groups. Often new talents debut in waves, and each unique group bonds closely with each other as they debut and collaborate together. However, at debut it wasn’t perfectly unified for NIJISANJI EN’s Ethyria. While Reimu Endou, Millie Parfait, Enna Alouette, and Nina Kosaka had their debuts together, there was a little division at the start, especially for the latter. Talking to Alban Knox from NIJISANJI’s hyper-popular Noctyx group, Nina couldn’t help but feel a pang of jealousy hearing their pre-debut stories, leading her onto a tangent about her experience being the ‘black sheep’ of Ethyria. “I tried to get Ethyria into a group call twice a week. I was like ‘hey we should talk and get to know each other,’” she said on stream. “They kept telling me they were busy and they couldn’t make the call. “Months down the line I found out the three of them would voice call each other. When I found that out, I’ll be honest, I felt like ‘man, I’m just being a cool coworker’ and I kind of took it personally. I just started doing my own thing. But it really wasn’t personal — they have a lot more things in common than I did with them, and I guess to them they were like ‘we don’t need to do a voice call, we already voice called’ but they didn’t think I’d also like to.” However, it’s far from being a division within the group. Across the last year, Nina has gotten to know her genmates incredibly well, and calls them dear friends. She did joke she’s too “normie” for the rest of her rather outrageous group, but they also knew each other before debuting for NIJISANJI which put up somewhat of a barrier. “With Ethyria, because Enna and Millie know each other, and they both had each other as a crutch, they really were okay with not interacting with other people. They bonded with Reimu over similar stuff and I didn’t. It’s fine, things are good now, it’s been a year, we can talk about it. “Sometimes it’s funny because Ethyria will be like ‘yeah why didn’t we talk much before.’ I’m always like ‘it wasn’t for lack of trying!’ I remember after our first collab the girls were like ‘it would have been better if we had a conversation before this’ and I was looking into the camera, The Office-style. I guess it would have been nice if we had rehearsed,” she laughed. “I’m a little jealous but it’s okay because we talk and hang out. Now it’s gotten to the point where like whenever they’re doing stuff it’s the three of them arguing and I’m sipping my wine like ‘this is nice’. Nina didn’t absolve herself of all responsibility either. She knew she didn’t share the exact same interests as the rest of her genmates, and she maybe got the wrong read on the room: “Yeah I was upset when that happened, but it’s normal and natural. “To be honest, I misunderstood the situation as well. They would just call sometimes to chat about stuff, but I took it as ‘wow you don’t want to talk to me.’” It’s “fun to look back” now for Ethyria, and there’s no bad blood between any of the NIJISANJI VTubers. In fact it’s a great story to bring up with other generations as they come through the ranks — and maybe serves as a lesson for some.

  • Nijisanji opens “acting-focus” VTuber auditions as agency looks to innovate – Dexerto

Nijisanji opens “acting-focus” VTuber auditions as agency looks to innovate NijisanjiNijisanji has opened its latest auditions for Nijisanji EN, but they aren’t as many had expected with the VTuber agency specifically looking for “acting-focus VTubers,” suggesting a shift from traditional streaming to something more unique. It’s not unheard of by any means for a VTuber to get into character. Some of the biggest names in the industry do just that with the likes of La+ Darkness, Pekora, and Debidebi Debiru all being good examples. However, voice acting and playing a character have always been secondary to entertainment. For most VTubers, this means dropping the act soon after their debut and focusing on delivering content. However, newly opened auditions suggest the next Nijisanji members could be far more character-driven with AnyColor going as far as to hire dedicated voice actors. Nijisanji EN wants talented voice actors for its next wave Sharing the application form on Twitter, Nijisanji EN Official posted: “NIJISANJI EN Acting-focus VTuber Audition. Please check the application form for more details. Audition period Sunday, December 10th 2023 at 19:00 PST.” However, the application form attached wasn’t the Nijisanji standard instead putting a huge emphasis on “acting focus,” effectively pushing for voice actors to audition. While most VTuber auditions are left open to the individual, this one is much more specific in what is required: “Please pick a character that suits you best from the options below, and creating a story for the character. and submit a video presenting the story in character.” The four available stories to pick from are: “You are a regular office worker by day, and an idol by night. Can you hide your secret identity while trying to live a double life?” – “You are a traveler researching a planet’s ecosystem. Play out a scene in which you go scouting in a new location.” – “You’re a gatekeeper of hell who acquired a cursed weapon. You are eroded by the weapon, and you begin to lose your humanity. Portray the gatekeeper’s story.” – “You are a martial artist who loves proving your strength in fighting rings. Recently, it was discovered that aliens are real and with new space travel technology, you start your journey across the universe looking for strong opponents to challenge.” – The application explicitly states “original character ideas created by candidates other than the above options will not be considered,” so applicants will want to stick to the four provided character descriptions. This idea was largely well received by the community with many praising it for being original and interesting. Given Nijisanji’s usual gap between auditions and debuts, fans can expect these new talents to start their VTubing activities in 2-4 months.

  • NIJISANJI’s Mashiro forced to redebut as first YouTube channel remains banned – Dexerto

NIJISANJI’s Mashiro forced to redebut as first YouTube channel remains banned YouTube: NIJISANJIDespite NIJISANJI’s best efforts to recover Mashiro’s first YouTube channel following its permanent suspension, the Japanese VTuber has been forced to redebut on a second channel — essentially starting with a clean slate. NIJISANJI’s Mashiro has been forced to start from square one after his original YouTube channel has been deemed unrecoverable. The male VTuber, who once boasted 370,000 subscribers on the platform, was banned on June 8 for an unknown reason. The agency did state a change in policy had affected some channels with a number of creators taking down their ASMR videos as a result. While NIJISANJI was working with YouTube to try and overturn Mashiro’s ban, the agency was ultimately unsuccessful. However, after a month-long break, the male VTuber is returning anew with a redebut on July 8 on a brand new channel. “We have opened a new channel due to the suspension of Mashiro’s channel,” the agency said on Twitter. “We apologize for the inconvenience to our fans. We look forward to your continued support for Mashiro.” — にじさんじ公式🌈🕒 (@nijisanji_app) July 5, 2022 The liver himself has been relatively quiet on the situation. He posted a red-tinted photo of himself in a forest on June 17 with the caption “please wait” following his suspension, but that’s it. Mashiro has lost practically all of his videos since his debut dating back to December 2019. The only remnants that remain are certain collabs or clips on other channels, but nothing on his original YouTube account. YouTube’s policy around channel terminations does state “if your channel or account is terminated, you may be unable to use, own, or create any other YouTube channels.” It remains to be seen whether the platform will continue cracking down on Mashiro with his one banned account. Despite this, Mashiro has already managed to regain more than 65,000 subscribers ahead of his July 8 redebut, with the numbers flying up by the hour in anticipation of his ‘first broadcast’.

  • NIJISANJI reveal new VTuber group VOLTACTION: Talents, debut dates – Dexerto

NIJISANJI reveal new VTuber group VOLTACTION: Talents, debut dates YouTube: NIJISANJINIJISANJI is debuting yet another set of VTubers with new group VOLTACTION being revealed on July 13. The all-male quartet will join the agency’s ever growing Japanese section. NIJISANJI are adding to their expansive list of VTuber talents with new group VOLTACTION. The all-male quartet join the already 200-strong idols under the talent’s banner, further expanding their reach primarily in the Japanese market. VOLTACTION was revealed on July 13 to much applause on Twitter. The group’s debut music single, Inlaid, was also released on the same day. It broke 300,000 views on YouTube within 24 hours. It wasn’t much of a secret — fans spotted billboards in Japan starting on July 11, days before the official launch of the new NIJISANJI group. The four talents are named: Fura Kanato, Watari Hibari, Shikinagi Akira, and Seraph Dazzlegarden. All of them have different lore origins, from mafia stories to assassins — but all of them tie into a similar sneaky theme. Immediately fans jumped on board with the new stars on social media. After the explosive launch of English group Luxiem at the end of the 2021, NIJISANJI has seen a lot of success with debuting new male VTubers. Before even debuting each of the talents has more than 20,000 subscribers on YouTube and rising, while their Twitter followings are already nearing 100,000 each. NIJISANJI VOLTACTION debut dates NIJISANJI VOLTACTION is set to debut on July 16, 2022. The four talents will be debuting in a relay format, with Fura Kanato to open up proceedings. You can find the exact times below: Fura Kanato: 7PM JST – Watari Hibari: 7:30PM JST – Shikinagi Akira: 8PM JST – Seraph Dazzlegarden: 8:30PM JST – They will also be collaborating with fellow NIJISANJI livers Joe Rikiichi and Hanabatake Chaika later on July 16.

  • Nijisanji’s Kuzuha tops VTuber charts as YouTube star blazes past Hololive idols – Dexerto

Nijisanji’s Kuzuha tops VTuber charts as YouTube star blazes past Hololive idols YouTube: Kuzuha ChannelThere’s a new VTuber star to watch on YouTube, with Nijisanji’s Kuzuha topping the streaming charts in a report released by Stream Hatchet. It is the first time a male VTuber has atop the rankings. Hololive’s crown as the premier VTuber talent agency has lost a little bit of its shine with competitors catching up to the pioneers. According to a report by Stream Hatchet, Nijisanji VTuber Kuzuha is leading the way in terms of hours watched. Kuzuha topped the YouTube charts in terms of VTuber viewership, with nearly 9 million hours watched between July and September 2021. While he might not be as big as some of his Hololive rivals, his daily stream schedule across the last three months — as well as a big music single release in September — propelled him to the top of the charts. The Japanese Apex Legends streamer crested 1 million YouTube subscribers on September 2, as well as debuted a new Live2D costume that same month. He has also played in a number of Japanese Apex Legends and Valorant tournaments alongside pro players and fellow VTubers like Shibuya HAL, who placed third on the Q3 2021 list with just over 6 million hours watched. Hololive were still represented in the top five, with Usada Pekora in second at 6.6m viewers and Sakura Miko at 4.8m in fourth. Nijisanji managed to round out the list with Kanae at 3.8m hours watched in three months. Surprisingly, there was no representation from the mega-popular Hololive EN idols like Gawr Gura — who still tops VTuber subscriber count ranks with 3.45 million. However, it’s not all bad news for Hololive. The agency still dominates the subscriber charts and social media, where Peko and Miko are rated in the top five in terms of social reach for all female content creators. With Hololive’s second generation of English stars getting off the ground and collaborations lined up for the tail-end of 2021, the VTuber trend is here to stay.

  • NIJISANJI files legal action against VTuber harassers and stalkers – Dexerto

NIJISANJI files legal action against VTuber harassers and stalkers YouTube: Axia KroneNIJISANJI is putting their foot down when it comes to the harassment of their VTuber talent, with the agency’s dedicated task force handling 88 cases across 12 months since September 2021. This includes filing legal charges against harassers and stalkers. Harassment is everywhere in the online space, but companies are taking stances against it to protect their talents. VTuber agency NIJISANJI has taken that one step further with a task force dedicated to stopping offensive and defamatory content, including copyright and privacy infringement, stalking, or threats of such behavior. An announcement by NIJISANJI owners ANYCOLOR on October 14 pointed towards the task force handling 88 cases across 12 months to September 2022, including a handful of cases going to court. According to a translation by ‘Hikaru’, the task force tried to handle things outside of the legal system, including requesting people on social media to take down harmful content such as doxxing. Once those avenues were exhausted, some were taken to court. This includes one defamation case, which NIJISANJI is currently preparing for. The agency also mentioned “death threats, and other similar threats, that harm our talents will immediately be reported to police. Measures will be taken to prevent harm, such as setting up security around the talent.” NIJISANJI’s task force was created in September 2021 to stop harassment from boiling over in the community and protect their talents. Despite their efforts, some VTubers have taken hiatuses or graduated because of online vitriol, with Axia Krone being the most recent example. The company issued a statement following Axia Krone’s indefinite hiatus in August saying “if we confirm any acts of slander or defamation towards our Livers and determine these acts to be criminal or illegal in nature, we will accordingly take steps while consulting with our lawyers. “These steps may include filing a lawsuit and requesting disclosure of the sender’s information.”

  • Nijisanji Koshien 2023: Teams, Schedule, Draft, more – Dexerto

Nijisanji Koshien 2023: Teams, Schedule, Draft, more NijisanjiNijisanji’s biggest annual event is here, seeing a range of its VTuber talents drafted to go head-to-head in a virtual baseball tournament. Here’s what you need to know about Nijisanji Koshien 2023 including the teams, the schedule, and where you can watch the action. Every year Nijisanji hosts an annual baseball tournament in a game called eBaseball Power Pro Baseball 2022. Although it isn’t as big in the West, Nijisanji Koshien is arguably the agency’s most popular event back home. This year’s format sees 10 teams of 16/17 Livers placed into two groups of five. These teams duke it out in the league phase across the first two days of the Koshien to determine who qualifies for the final. The final takes place on the third day to decide the champion. To help you better understand Nijisanji Koshien 2023, we’ve put together this guide explaining what it is, how the draft works, the schedule, and all ten teams. What is Nijisanji Koshien 2023? Nijisanji Koshien is an annual baseball event hosted by VTuber agency Nijisanji. It involves ten designated Livers drafting a team of roughly 16 other talents to create a virtual baseball team. These drafted teams then duke it out in eBaseball Power Pro Baseball 2022, a popular baseball game developed by Konami. To be clear, the VTubers themselves don’t play but rather avatars representing their likeness. When is the Nijisanji Koshien 2023 draft? The draft for Nijisanji Koshien 2023 took place on Nijisanji’s official YouTube channel on July 1, 18:00 JST. It saw ten head coaches draft a team of sixteen players from across Nijisanji’s various branches. The draft format saw each coach pick their player of choice for the first seven rounds and then randomly assigned Livers for the remaining nine rounds. Nijisanji Koshien 2023: Schedule and where to watch Nijisanji Koshien 2023 will be streamed on the official Nijisanji YouTube channel from August 11 to August 13. However, these streams will be entirely in Japanese. A more accessible option is to tag along for the watch-along streams that some Nijisanji EN members are hosting. • NIJISANJI VTuber Kotoka Torahime apologizes after using slur on stream – Dexerto

NIJISANJI VTuber Kotoka Torahime apologizes after using slur on stream YouTube: Kotoka TorahimeNIJISANJI VTuber Kotoka Torahime has apologized to fans after using an ableist slur during her 100,000 subscriber endurance stream. The XSOLEIL star said she was not aware of the meaning of the word due to her cultural background. New NIJISANJI debut Kotoka Torahime, from the recent XSOLEIL VTuber wave, has apologized after she used an ableist slur on a recent broadcast. The star was pushing to reach 100,000 YouTube subscribers on the December 29 stream when she got angry in her ARK game: “What the f**k you suck. Seriously guys, come on. Can you not take turns to get out of the gate? You f**king r*tards.” The comments quickly circulated, with many expressing disappointment in the XSOLEIL member for using the ableist slur. She later apologized for using the language, saying she was not aware of the meaning due to her cultural background. “I’ve seen some posts about the words that I said in my prior stream,” she said. “I hope these words reach you because your words reached me. They really helped me understand what situation I was in. It made me realize and gave me knowledge about what mistake I made. “If you are around in my streams a lot, I am sometimes very unaware of the memes. I remember me not knowing some of the dirty puns or the Twitch words. I know how to speak the language, but I’m not up to date with the culture. “This is going to sound like I’m making excuses, but what I wanted to say was I was very unaware. I remember the word. I think I learned it through a friend, and the meaning of it is very different from the meaning people told me on the internet yesterday. “I want to make my stream enjoyable for everyone. I don’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings, but I think I did, and I let people down. I wish I could go up to them, person by person, and say I’m sorry. But the situation wouldn’t be [made] right that way. “I think for some people it’s a little too late. I should have probably said it earlier, but I kind of passed out after that endurance stream. I only figured it out when I woke up and was checking everything. “I hope it reaches you — the post did reach me, so thank you so much for that. I will try my best to not mess up next time, if you do give me a next chance.” It comes after fellow NIJISANJI EN VTuber Enna Alouette apologized for making a racist remark on stream. She said she made an “insensitive and ignorant comment on a certain stereotype”, and called the controversy a “wake up call” to act more responsibly online. “Even though I had no malicious intent or anything, it was very wrong and 100% racist,” she said, reflecting on her actions in November. “I’m going to make sure I’m very mindful from now on [about] how I think, how I act, and what I say. Honestly, I’ve been treading on the bounds a lot throughout my career in NIJISANJI. This honestly was a wake up call, seriously.”

  • NIJISANJI’s Fulgur Ovid reassures fans Noctyx will live on after Yugo Asuma graduation – Dexerto

NIJISANJI’s Fulgur Ovid reassures fans Noctyx will live on after Yugo Asuma graduation YouTube: Fulgur Ovid / YouTube: Yugo AsumaNIJISANJI star Fulgur Ovid spoke out on his genmate Yugo Asuma’s graduation. The Noctyx quartet promises to keep together in his legacy, while asking people to give both NIJISANJI’s VTubers and their fans space to “grieve” his departure. Yugo Asuma’s shock graduation on December 14 sent waves through NIJISANJI and its English fanbase. It was the first departure from the VTuber agency’s English branch, with ANYCOLOR citing “many aspects of his activities and behavior as a Liver could not be accepted as a company” in their statement. The nature of the news devastated fans of Yugo Asuma, Noctyx, and NIJISANJI more broadly, but none felt the pain more than his genmates. There was an outpouring of support on social media for the remaining four members, including Fulgur Ovid. He was one of the first to speak up on Asuma’s graduation. With the rest of his genmates on holiday, entirely unplanned, he opened up to fans about the future of the group within NIJISANJI EN. “We’re devastated about Yugo’s graduation,” he said. “We are all going to miss Yugo Asuma, and the fact that he is not a part of Noctyx anymore is really f**king devastating. “Everyone in the community is hurting right now. Whether you were a Yuguy, a fan of Noctyx, a fan of NIJISANJI EN, or just a fan of NIJISANJI — this is a big moment for everyone.” Fulgur mentioned fans will deal with the news in their own way: either with anger at the decision, sadness at the loss, or otherwise. He said he had felt “touched” by the outpouring of support from everyone in the community, but especially other NIJISANJI EN members. The group knew about Yugo Asuma’s graduation before the December 14 announcement. However they didn’t know when the news would be dropped, and the suddenness of it blindsided the rest of Noctyx. “We have known about this for a little while,” Fulgur continued. “We had no idea when it was going to come. We had pretty much no time to prepare for the fact that it was dropping on Wednesday night. “The other three members of Noctyx, who are currently on holiday, did not plan their holidays to avoid this. I did not plan this zatsu to talk about this. This is just terrible timing, and that’s why you noticed so many NIJISANJI Livers who had things scheduled for around the time needed a break because it suddenly hit so hard. “A lot of us haven’t been sleeping properly, we’ve been feeling sick, the stress has been getting to us. But it was a surprise when it was announced, and we’re just doing our best to get through this and move forward.” Instead of being split apart by the news though, Fulgur has assured fans Yugo’s departure has, in some way, brought the remaining four closer together. They will miss some big milestones. Much like Tsukumo Sana’s graduation from Hololive earlier this year, Noctyx will not have a full five to celebrate their first anniversary in February 2023. They will miss all of the future collabs that were in the making, and one of their close friends. Knowing that time is short in this industry has only resolved them to cherish those moments even more, and give fans the full Noctyx experience even without Yugo’s presence. “Technically, Noctyx have been together for a full year already. Two months before we started streaming, we were already with each other everyday in Discord calls, trying to calm each other down about the fact we were going to be NIJISANJI Livers, trying to help each other through that stress, trying to guide each other through what kind of content creation we would do. “I do want to reassure the fans that want to see Noctyx that we will still be together. This isn’t going to scare us away from spending time with each other. “We miss Yugo too. But at the same time, we are going to be Noctyx. We were given other options. Me, Uki [Violeta], Alban [Knox], and Sonny [Brisko] could not see ourselves as anything else other than members of NIJISANJI’s Wave 5, Noctyx. There was no way we wanted to change that. “We’re not going to stop spending time with each other just because we’ve lost someone. We’re still going to be Noctyx with the four of us. If anything, this has brought us closer together. For the last amount of time, we’ve essentially been back in Discord every day like we were pre-debut because we’ve been so f**king stressed and trying to carry this and talking about what we do as we go forward. “We want to keep streaming together, we still care about each other so much, and we still are all very much caring about Yugo.” Fulgur had one last message for his DJ genmate: no matter what, he will always be a part of Noctyx, and they’ll be cheering him on no matter where he goes. “Yugo is moving forward, Yugo is going to find something else to do, and Yugo is an incredibly talented person. In the last year we’ve seen Yugo grow so much as a content creator, as a streamer, as a DJ — just in English, just in how they handle themselves. “We’re all just wishing Yugo well and hope he has a wonderful future, and we’re going to do our best to continue our story.”

  • NIJISANJI’s first VTuber Tsukino Mito finally breaks massive YouTube milestone – Dexerto

NIJISANJI’s first VTuber Tsukino Mito finally breaks massive YouTube milestone YouTube: Tsukino MitoNIJISANJI’s first VTuber, Tsukino Mito, has finally managed to break the massive YouTube milestone of 1 million subscribers, and it’s safe to say that fans are pleased for her. The art of VTubing has been on the rise over the past few years, with streamers from both Twitch and YouTube getting involved by having a virtual model or character replace them on-screen. When it comes to VTubers on YouTube, the first agency that springs to mind for many fans is that of NIJISANJI. They’ve been around since 2018, working with over 200 stars across Japan, Korea, China, Indonesia, and the broader West. A number of their stars including Kuzuha and Kanae have managed to break through the YouTube milestone of having over 1 million subscribers, and they’ve now finally been joined by the agency’s first VTuber, Tsukino Mito. NIJISANJI’s Tsukino Mito finally breaks 1 million YouTube subscribers Mito managed to join the 1 million subscriber club on December 12, almost five years on from her debut with NIJISANJI. It’s taken her close to 1800 days to reach the massive milestone, which is quite the grind compared to peers like Hyakumantenbara Salome, who managed to do it in 13 days, and as well as English NIJISANJI member Vox Akuma. “Now, we have made 1 million people subscribe to the channel,” Mito said in her celebratory tweet. “Thank you so much for giving me such an interesting life!” Mito’s tweet about the milestone has blown up, with plenty of fellow VTubers and fans chiming in with messages of congratulations for the VTuber, including some peers from NIJISANJI and across other agencies. This included ANYCOLOR CEO Riku Tazumi, fellow NIJISANJI first gen liver Higuchi Kaede, as well as English members Vox Akuma, Luca Kaneshiro, Pomu Rainpuff, and Alban Knox. Many are looking forward to what she’ll do next and just how big she’ll be able to grow up. Regardless, her years of grind have finally paid off in a big way.

  • Nijisanji fans slam talents for “feeding the trolls” with controversial clapbacks – Dexerto

Nijisanji fans slam talents for “feeding the trolls” with controversial clapbacks NijisanjiTwo of Nijisanji’s male VTubers have come under fire for “feeding the trolls,” with fans believing they should have ignored critical comments rather than engage and potentially cause more issues. Since Selen Tatsuki had her contract terminated on February 5, 2024, it has been a difficult few weeks for Nijisanji and its parent company, Anycolor. Posting on her alt account, Selen alleged a “toxic environment,” that resulted in multiple attempts. The backlash from this was so severe that CEO Riku Tazumi made a statement promising changes to internal systems, though many felt this was undermined by the controversial response video posted on Elira Pendora’s channel that dismissed many of Selen’s claims. This chain of events inevitably saw trolls and critics alike attack Nijisanji over its perceived management of talents, with some even reaching out to the VTubers on social media. Up until now, the Livers had largely avoided publicly addressing this but that is no longer the case, and fans aren’t impressed. Nijisanji VTubers’ social media replies draw criticism Both Yu Q. Wilson and Uki Violeta posted controversial responses to critical comments and neither has gone down well in the wider Nijisanji community. Addressing these replies, one fan posted on the official Nijisanji Reddit, “Whoever told these guys they can cook needs to be fired,” encouraging Nijisanji’s other members to avoid following their lead. Wanting the talents to not cause further issues, one highly upvoted response stated, “Honestly, one thing they can learn here is some proper f**king PR 101. They are just refueling fire man.DO NOT engage with troll comments. You are just giving them ammo. IGNORE and BLOCK. Its just that.” Another equally irritated user replied, “Like seriously. a.) how tone deaf can you be when your organization has been accused of bullying its own employees and b.) don’t feed the trolls. He got baited plain and simple. He walked right into it and got absolutely wrecked.” The criticism continued with other upvoted responses including, “Bro, come on. I get that you want to keep your job and maybe don’t even think Niji was wrong, but the talents need to shut the f**k up if they want Niji to recover from this,” and, “they didn’t cook they burned the whole kitchen.” Uki Violeta’s comments have come under especially harsh criticism with both his critics and even other VTubers like Kirsche accusing him of “not-so-subtle racism,” an accusation that the Nijisanji member has yet to address. Before this latest controversy arose, Nijisanji had benefited from a relatively calm week with talents shying away from stating anything publicly. Also, the return of fan-favorite members Rosemi Lovelock and Finana Ryugu has been seen as a huge positive with their futures previously uncertain.

  • Nijisanji EN VTuber defends controversial Play Button policy – Dexerto

Nijisanji EN VTuber defends controversial Play Button policy A member of Nijisanji EN has spoken out and defended the VTuber agency’s controversial policy on YouTube Play Buttons by insisting the talents can be sent one if they ask. For several years now, Nijisanji VTubers have claimed they are not sent Play Buttons by management, unique trophies given out by YouTube to celebrate subscriber milestones. These Play Buttons are kept at Anycolor’s office rather than being sent out to talents. Several former members have commented on this including Mysta Rias who expressed frustration that he had not received a Play Button despite passing one million subscribers. Equally, Dokibird admitted to only receiving her first Play Button in February 2024, insinuating that she never received one as Selen Tatsuki. This policy has proven controversial with fans believing the VTubers should be rewarded for their work. One particularly contentious point is that Nijisanji’s largest competitor Hololive does send out Play Buttons and has even shown a willingness to pay for multiple as was the case with Fuwamoco. Claude Clawmark claims members can ask for Play Button Having passed 100,000 subscribers, Nijisanji member Claude Clawmark celebrated his first Play Button expressing, “When I saw it in person, I was like, Oh my god yippee! Now it’s going to stay at the office next to all the other really cool buttons.” Addressing potential concerns on this topic, Claude continued, “I know there are some people who are like ‘Oh my god, how come the Livers can’t have their own button. How come they can’t take it home?’ and it’s like all right, dog, you know what? If we really wanted one, we could just f**king ask.” Claude then revealed why he is happy regardless: “I think the bigger thing for me, it’s really f**king cool the fact that I even have a button to begin with. If I could even have a button that sh*ts already cool enough.” He then went on to explain, “I think it’s all the more important the fact that like damn, I can have that sh*t next to other cool people who also have a really cool Button.” Addressing a fan who asked Nijisanji to let Claude have his own Play Button, the VTuber stated, “It really bothered me because this is the thing. Me being here and being able to do the things that I do and being able to reach this size. I don’t even think I would have hit 100k by myself at all,” before describing his success as a “cumulative effort.” The reception to Claude’s comments has been largely negative with fans believing Nijisanji should buy Play Buttons for its members without them having to ask. Others were skeptical of Claude’s claims which contrast what several other Nijisanji VTubers have previously stated.

It has been written and produced by Kento Nagatsuka, a Japanese vocalist for WONK. The two prior generations, Krisis and TTT, did not release debut songs, but Denauth brings back this tradition. They will be reacting to each debut stream on the official Nijisanji EN YouTube channel, giving their first impressions of the three new members, Denauth is the first VTuber generation debuted by Nijisanji since Selen Tatsuki’s termination. The former member alleged a “toxic environment,” on her alt account, claiming others bullied her within the company. This has led to Denauth receiving some backlash, with certain fans believing it is too early to debut a new generation. However, many others have reacted positively to the announcement, praising the new members’ designs, and expressing excitement at the return of debut songs. Such replies on X/Twitter included, “hype hype hype!!!” and, “WELCOME WELCOME!!! Debut lines AND an original song?? We are so back!!” while a more skeptical upvoted post on r/VirtualYouTubers responded, “Well. I genuinely wish them the best of luck. They’re going to need it.”

  • Nijisanji EN under fire for announcing new merch amid Selen Tatsuki allegations – Dexerto

Nijisanji EN under fire for announcing new merch amid Selen Tatsuki allegations YouTube: Selen TatsukiNijisanji is under fire for announcing new merch amid allegations by Selen Tatsuki of a “toxic” environment after her termination from the agency. On February 5, Nijisanji announced the termination of their Liver Selen Tatsuki due to alleged breaches of contract and misleading statements on social media. However, the notice was immediately rebutted by Selen. In her scathing response, she accused the agency of harboring a “toxic and poor environment” which supposedly led to bullying for numerous months, leading her to be hospitalized. And amidst the allegations leveled against Nijisanji, they’ve since announced new merch, which has landed them in hot water for what many are calling “disrespectful” timing. Just 15 hours after Selen’s termination on February 6, Nijisanji announced new merch featuring six of their EN Livers. However, the announcement was immediately slammed by fans for its timing. “To call this disrespectful is an understatement,” commented CottontailVA, an independent VTuber. “This is extremely tone deaf,” wrote Abelia, another independent VTuber. “This just proves it’s just a regular day for Nijisanji, they acknowledge the amount of graduations and terminations they have is just a typical Monday and not even give a hot minute for Selen fans to grieve,” another commenter wrote. Other fans also pointed out that an EN Liver featured in the merch lineup, Kyo Kaneko, is graduating from the agency in just a week on February 17, becoming the first ILUNA member to leave. All this comes as Nijisanji sees a mass exodus of Livers leaving the agency over the past few months, with two of their longest-serving members, Chihiro Yuuki and Momo Azuchi, also graduating. Additionally, Livers on their EN side with Pomu Rainpuff and Mika Melatika from Nijisanji ID both announced their graduation in just the past few months.

Nijisanji EN fans worried new wave will attract even more negativity NijisanjiWith a new Nijisanji EN wave expected in the near future, fans of the agency are growing concerned that it will be used as an excuse to bring more negativity to the community. Nijisanji has come under fire as of late with the community being critical of its management. From Sayu Okami’s statement on Zaion to Akane’s surprise graduation, the Vtuber agency has experienced some challenges. The increasing tension amongst Nijisanji fans has come at a troublesome time with a new generation expected soon. Vocal members of the community were critical of both ILUNA and XSOLEIL and now there are worries this will happen again with the next wave. Nijisanji EN’s eighth generation could bring more negativity Members of the Nijisanji community have expressed concerns over the upcoming wave, believing it could trigger more negativity if not addressed. A passionate fan emphasized: “Open notice to Nijisanji EN fans. It’s high-key likely we’ll see a new wave soon. I’m asking everyone, for the love of god, to not be as overly negative as they were with the previous two waves, because your words matter and y’all were awful lol. And the talents noticed.” The tweet continues: “No getting mad at talents for not being what you wanted, not rapidly escalating non-harmful things they say to discourse levels, not getting mad at them for not knowing jokes or senpais, calling company history ‘lore’, etc. And you don’t need to announce you hate the new blood.” The thread concludes by encouraging fans to keep complaints within their own social group. Also, they emphasized how negative comments made about the talents can be seen and have even pushed some Vtubers to contemplate graduating. Nijisanji hasn’t confirmed that a new EN generation is coming yet but fans have good reason to assume one is on its way. Auditions for a new Nijisanji EN wave were held on March 2023. Based on previous generations the gap between auditions and debut is usually around three to four months. If this pattern continues the eighth generation will debut either in June or July.

  • NIJISANJI EN reveals new Heroes VTubers in first debut in six months – Dexerto

NIJISANJI EN reveals new Heroes VTubers in first debut in six months NIJISANJINIJISANJI EN is debuting yet another generation of VTubers, with three new stars joining their roster. Vezalius Bandage, Vantacrow Bringer, and Yu Q. Wilson are the trio making up Heroes EN, the branch’s first direct tie-in with a Japanese reveal, and will debut on June 24. NIJISANJI EN is expanding yet again. It was only a matter of time until the eighth English-speaking wave of the popular VTuber agency came around again, even if fans had to wait a bit longer this time. Vezalius Bandage, Vantacrow Bringer, and Yu Q. Wilson are joining the agency’s ranks as part of Heroes EN on June 24, 2023. It’s the first all-male-presenting debut from NIJISANJI EN since Noctyx’s release in February 2022. Heroes EN is NIJISANJI’s first ever attempt at tying together generations across both their main branch and their English-speaking side. The company previously debuted the Japanese-speaking Oriens and Dytica groups in April 2023, representing Heroes of the East and Heroes of the West, respectively. The latest addition now makes the 11 VTubers combined the ‘Heroes of the World.’ All three have combat-themed outfits: Vezalius Bandage as the medic, Vantacrow Bringer as an ace assassin, and the bubbly Yu Q. Wilson who can seemingly do it all. The three Heroes EN debuts ends the longest gap between NIJISANJI EN debuts since the branch’s formation in mid 2021 of just over six months. In that time, NIJISANJI EN has experienced two departures: First, the graduation of Yugo Asuma in December, and then the termination of Zaion LanZa in March. The trio will be debuting on June 24, 2023, starting at 7:10PM PT / 10:10PM ET. The official debut program will be hosted by Mysta Rias and Rosemi Lovelock, with Vezalius Bandage kicking off the relay on YouTube, followed by Vantacrow Bringer and Yu Q. Wilson.

  • Nijisanji EN announces Kyo Kaneko graduation as another talent exits – Dexerto

Nijisanji EN announces Kyo Kaneko graduation as another talent exits NijisanjiNijisanji has announced that EN Liver Kyo Kaneko is graduating from the VTuber agency becoming the first ILUNA member to call it a day. We are barely a month into 2024 and yet this year has already proven difficult for Nijisanji. The end of 2023 saw Indonesian star Mika Melatika leave the VTuber agency and then Pomu Rainpuff followed suit on January 20, 2024. These graduations are in addition to an ongoing controversy with Selen Tatsuki after the dragon VTuber’s cover song was privated on Boxing Day. Following that event, both Selen and Nijisanji have been silent for over a month, leaving her fans fearing the worst. Now yet another development has surfaced with one of ILUNA’s members graduating despite debuting just 18 months ago. Kyo Kaneko will graduate from Nijisanji next month As first announced on X/Twitter, Kyo Kaneko will graduate from Nijisanji EN on February 17, 2024. The post confirms, “We hereby announce that the NIJISANJI EN Liver Kyo Kaneko will graduate on 17th February, 2023 JST. Thank you for your understanding and for your support of NIJISANJI and NIJISANJI EN.” The full notice continued, “After 17th February 2024 JST, Kyo Kaneko will cease all Liver activities, his YouTube membership will be stopped on 17th February JST after his graduation stream and the sale of merchandise and voice contents will be stopped gradually. We will be accepting fan letters for Kyo Kaneko until 17th March, 2024 JST.” Explaining what this means for ILUNA, Nijisanji confirmed, “The Nijisanji EN VTuber group ILUNA will pursue their activities with Maria Marionette, Aster Arcadia, Aia Amare, Ren Zotto, and Scarle Yonaguni,” confirming that the other five members are staying. In addition to announcing his graduation, Nijisanji also used the opportunity to praise Kyo for his “unique humor, wit and creativity,” and expressed their “utmost respect for his achievements in Nijisanji EN,” implying that the two parties are splitting on good terms. Kyo Kaneko himself is expected to reveal more in a follow-up stream held on February 1 explaining why he has come to this decision and what it means for the future.

  • Nijisanji EN announces shock Pomu Rainpuff graduation leaving fans stunned – Dexerto

Nijisanji EN announces shock Pomu Rainpuff graduation leaving fans stunned NijisanjiBoth Nijisanji and Pomu Rainpuff fans have been left stunned by the surprise announcement of the fairy VTuber’s upcoming graduation set to take place in just a couple of weeks. Nijisanji made history when it kickstarted modern VTubers being the first agency to establish the streaming standards many follow today. The agency then struck gold again when it entered the Western market with Nijisanji EN in 2021. Front lining Nijisanji EN was the branch’s first generation, Lazulight. Lazulight’s members are Elira Pendora, Finana Fyugu, and Pomu Rainpuff. The three talents have gone on to accumulate over 1.7 million subscribers between them making them some of the most popular VTubers out there. However, that group is now set to be split apart after Nijisanji confirmed one of EN’s original members is graduating soon. Pomu Rainpuff to graduate from Nijisanji later this month Nijisanji announced on X/Twitter that EN member Pomu Rainpuff will graduate from the agency on January 20, 2024. The tweet opens, “We hereby announce that the NIJISANJI EN Liver Pomu Rainpuff will graduate on 20th January, 2024 JST. Thank you for your understanding and for your support of NIJISANJI and NIJISANJI EN.” Explaining exactly what this means, Nijisanji continued, “After 20th January, 2024, Pomu Rainpuff will cease all Liver activities, her YouTube Channel, X, and other social media accounts will be private, and the sale of merchandise and voice contents will be stopped gradually.” As part of the announcement, Nijisanji took the opportunity to thank Pomu for her service, paying tribute to how she “took the lead and pushed forward the Nijisanji EN brand,” and her clear “passion for otaku culture.” Nijisanji fans have been left stunned by the announcement with many feeling there wasn’t much of an indication that this was coming. Some of the most shocked responses include, “IM SORRY WHAT??????” and “I can’t even think of something to say…” This is the latest casualty for Nijisanji with the VTuber agency having previously lost Mika Melatika from ID and Chihiro Yuuki plus Momo Azuchi from JP just last month.

  • Nijisanji CEO makes statement on Selen Tatsuki termination promising change – Dexerto

Nijisanji CEO makes statement on Selen Tatsuki termination promising change NijisanjiNijisanji CEO Riku Tazumi has made an official statement addressing Selen Tatsuki’s termination promising that changes are being made to avoid comparable situations in the future. Following the privatization of her last cover song and eventual hospitalization, Selen Tatsuki had her contract terminated with Nijisanji EN with the VTuber agency claiming she had committed “repeated breaches,” of her contract. Using her alt account, Dokibird, Selen Tatsuki responded on February 5 claiming her hospitalization was a direct cause of Nijisanji’s actions and even alleged the company was harboring a “toxic environment.” A week on, Nijisanji’s CEO has now spoken in a statement that addresses the concerns of fans and promises change is coming. Nijisanji CEO’s statement addresses fan concerns CEO Riku Tazami has addressed several criticisms of his company in a six-minute statement posted on the official Nijisanji EN YouTube channel. In this statement, the company’s CEO acknowledged several criticisms of Nijisanji and promised changes would be made to avoid a comparable situation in the future. Tazami opened up by addressing the controversial document that reassured investors Selen’s termination would have a “negligible impact,” on company finances. Explaining this decision, Tazami commented, “After announcing the termination of Selen’s contract, we received questions from investors regarding the impact this would have on company performance. The notice was published to respond to investors.” “In the notice, we unfortunately used the expression ‘negligible’ to describe performance impact. Our wording lacked consideration for the situation and caused Nijisanji EN fans and everyone who supports the VTuber industry to feel that ANYCOLOR Inc. undervalued the impact of Selen’s contract termination, or Selen herself,” he continued clarifying why the statement was made. After apologizing to the Livers and admitting company actions had led to them receiving abuse from fans, the Nijisanji CEO addressed concerns over the termination notice, “We regret that the notice we published on February 7 was worded this way. We made it sound like our company does not value the hard work of our Livers. I deeply apologize.” Tazami went on to acknowledge the shortcomings of Nijisanji’s current structure promising several key changes including “new internal systems,” to help Livers maintain their well-being, “better reporting systems,” to identify internal problems faster, and a “Rethinking of our communication in English is done,” for future notices. Though the reception to Tazami’s statement has been somewhat positive, many fans are questioning its sincerity. Just a few hours prior, Elira Pendora, Vox Akuma, and Ike Eveland all made statements claiming Selen had fabricated certain aspects of her story. Furthermore, the three Livers revealed they had been shown confidential legal documents that were intended to be kept between Selen, her lawyers, and Nijisanji’s lawyers, something Dokibird herself reaffirmed.

  • Nijisanji EN announces 3D Debuts for Rosemi Lovelock and Petra Gurin – Dexerto

Nijisanji EN announces 3D Debuts for Rosemi Lovelock and Petra Gurin NijisanjiNijisanji EN has announced that Obysidia’s Rosemi Lovelock and Petra Gurin will finally get their 3D Debuts almost three years after they started live streaming. Amidst accusations of a potentially toxic environment at Nijisanji, fans also voiced concerns over the VTuber agency not giving EN talents the same opportunities as their Japanese counterparts. Nijisanji CEO Riku Tazumi acknowledged these concerns expressing a desire for change including plans to implement “new internal systems,” and host more EN events such as 3D Debuts and various unspecified upcoming projects. It seems those words are now being put into action with two of the agency’s most popular international Livers finally getting their 3D Debuts. Nijisanji confirms Obysdia’s 3D Debuts coming this month As announced on their official X/Twitter account in separate posts, both Petra Gurin and Rosemi Lovelock are getting their 3D Debuts in March 2024. The tweets confirmed that the Obysdia members’ 3D Debuts will take place on these dates: Petra Gurin: March 15 – 20:00 PDT, 23:00 EDT, 03:00 GMT (Saturday), 12:00 JST (Saturday) – Rosemi Lovelock: March 22 – 18:00 PDT, 21:00 EDT, 01:00 GMT (Saturday), 10:00 JST (Saturday) – Reacting to the announcement during a Sky Party collab, Petra expressed, “This has been in the works for so long and I’m so happy we could finally reveal it,” while Rosemi promised fans a “really funny,” reveal with some unexpected segments that not even Petra is aware of. Each stream will be hosted on Petra Gurin and Rosemi Lovelocks’s YouTube channels with both waiting rooms already posted. Those still uncertain as to when each stream begins in their time zone will want to check out these waiting rooms and enable notifications to make sure they don’t miss the streams. Though the reception to the new 3D Debuts has been mostly positive, some fans are disheartened that Selen Tatsuki is not involved following her termination. All three Obysdia members would likely have received their 3D Debuts had Selen still been under contract. Despite this bittersweet reality, fans are still excited and are looking forward to Nijisanji EN’s first 3D Debuts since January 2023.

  • Nijisanji announces two more graduations as OG members call it a day – Dexerto

Nijisanji announces two more graduations as OG members call it a day NijisanjiNijisanji has announced the graduation of two of its VTuber talents, Chihiro Yuuki and Momo Azuchi, who are some of the agency’s longest-serving members. 2023 hasn’t been the best year for Nijisanji, with several members either walking out or being terminated. From Mirei Gundo’s baseball controversy to Zaion’s unprecedented termination, not everything has gone to plan. While there have been positives like the success of Nijisanji Koshien 2023 and Selen Tatsuki’s innovative Apex tournament, some fans feel the loss of so many members has hampered these milestones. Moving into 2024, those losses look to be continuing with two of Nijisanji’s Japanese members calling it a day. Two more Nijisanji VTubers are graduating in 2024 In a Tweet posted on December 12, 2023, Nijisanji confirmed the graduation of two VTuber talents, Chihiro Yuuki and Momo Azuchi. The announcement reveals that the two talents will both graduate from Nijisanji on January 31, 2024, the same day that their Membership will also close. However, fans will be able to send fan letters to show their appreciation until February 23, 2024. Both VTubers are some of Nijisanji’s longest-serving members with Chihiro debuting in its First Generation and Momo as part of SEEDs. Debuting four months apart, these two VTubers have been creating content under the Nijisanji name since 2018. This makes them not only some of Nijisanji’s longest-serving members but also some of the oldest VTubers altogether. Following up on the announcement, Chihiro replied: “I feel really sorry for the first-year students and everyone who supported me. sorry. This is the result of a lot of thinking and thinking. I will work hard to achieve what I have always wanted to achieve. Chihiro was a happy person as she was loved by many people. Thank you for what you have done.” Meanwhile, Momo responded: “I thought a lot about whether I should wait until my birthday before retiring, but I decided against it. I’m very sorry because I saw people making various preparations. sorry…!” These graduations follow the news that Indonesian member Mika Melatika will also be exiting Nijisanji at the end of December 2023, marking the agency’s last graduation of 2023 to round what has been a difficult year.

  • Nijisanji blocks Selen Tatsuki from hosting international events – Dexerto

Nijisanji blocks Selen Tatsuki from hosting international events Selen TatsukiNijisanji has blocked EN member Selen Tatsuki from hosting international events after she scheduled a now-canceled Fall Guys tournament on the assumption that old permissions granted by the VTuber agency were still valid. In April 2023, Selen announced that she was working on a Fall Guys tournament on behalf of Nijisanji. The tournament would have seen members across all of the agency’s branches go head-to-head in the platforming battle royale game. Much like her new outfit competition, the Fall Guys tournament was entirely funded and organized by Selen. However, it turns out that the decision to go ahead with this tournament was not approved by Nijisanji. Selen Tatsuki ended up canceling the Fall Guys event after Nijisanji blocked her from making it or any future events international. Selen Tatsuki can’t host cross-branch Nijsanji events anymore Following the cancelation of the Fall Guys International Tournament, Selen Tatsuki stated that she is no longer able to organize international tournaments for Nijisanji. The announcing tweet reads: “I really apologize to announce this but unfortunately despite everything I tried to make it work, I will not be able to hold the Fall Guys tournament anymore and will not be able to organize any more international tournaments from here on out.” The dragon VTuber would then confirm that she is still allowed to “organize stuff within EN,” but not host tournaments that feature Nijisanji members across other branches. Many fans were confused by the statement, not understanding what had led to such an outcome. Looking to explain the situation, Selen later provided a statement near the end of her Apex Legends stream on August 8. She admitted: “I messed up earlier tweeting about my excitement and starting my plans of organizing the tournament as I assumed my old approvals for it was still a factor since I’ve been in discussion for it before the Puyo Tetris tournament. But I did get in trouble since it wasn’t finalized for the new date when I thought it was.” Continuing on Selen elaborated: “We went back to negotiating, setting everything up again with a new date, but I was only given the option to keep it within EN this time. I wanted an international event, but sadly I couldn’t make it happen.” Timestamp of 2:55:12 Nijisanji has not made any statement on the decision to block Selen from hosting international events. The VTuber company typically only comments following graduations such as with what happened to Mirei Gundou and Zaion LanZa.

Playing through a double elimination bracket, the tournament followed typical UMG Fortnite rules, which were created due to the lack of custom lobbies. Two players from each team joined the opposing two players as a squad, and fought their way independently through the cycle of the map, with the winning squad the team with the most kills at the end. The rules require players to avoid each other and not to intentionally try and kill the opponent. In a surprising turn of events, popular PS4 streamer NICKMERCS placed first alongside Luminosity Fortnite player, SypherPK. They did drop to the loser bracket after losing in WBR4 to Jelly and Svenosss, but battled through to the grand final, defeating NoahJ456 and Avxry over two sets to secure the title! • Nightbot briefly banned on Twitch for ridiculous reason – Dexerto

Nightbot briefly banned on Twitch for ridiculous reason Beloved moderator, Nightbot, was banned on Twitch but was subsequently unbanned within six minutes, leaving many questioning what happened. Nightbot is a staple of many streamers thanks to its vast array of customization options, such as the ability to block certain terms, run giveaways, and be programmed to answer a series of commands like stream uptime. With so many streamers relying on this, many were surprised to see Nightbot had been briefly banned, meaning none of the moderation it was set up to do would work anymore. While it was one of the shortest Twitch bans you’ll ever see, it was definitely enough for some streamers to freak out after seeing Nightbot wasn’t doing its job. Why was Nightbot banned? As it turns out, Nightbot received a ban due to a falsified DMCA, according to its Twitter page. This was quickly resolved and Nightbot should be back to working normally on every channel that relies on it. apologies for the nightbot outage on twitch. nightbot is back online now. everyone can thank @Digiturk for sending a falsified DMCA takedown notice and for the subsequent outage since Twitch revokes all API access tokens on bans 🤗 pic.twitter.com/NpEWZHqlU2 — Nightbot (@nightbotapp) December 1, 2019 It’s a good thing this one was resolved quickly because it could have ended up being pretty disastrous for a lot of streamers if it ended up becoming a lengthy ban. There aren’t many other options out there that could replace what Nightbot does, which is why this particular bot remains so popular. Read More: xQc gets jump scared during Twitch bots rant – What’s interesting about the ban is that Nightbot doesn’t stream, so it seems strange that there could even be a DMCA takedown. Nightbot did its best to explain why this might have happened. “I don’t know how Twitch’s copyright strike system works, but I assume for certain media partners like Digiturk they can instantly take down channels and Twitch moderation team then has a manual review process after the takedown (which is why it was reversed 5 minutes later).” I don’t know how Twitch’s copyright strike system works, but I assume for certain media partners like Digiturk they can instantly take down channels and Twitch moderation team then has a manual review process after the takedown (which is why it was reversed 5 minutes later) — Nightbot (@nightbotapp) December 1, 2019 We’re not entirely sure why Digiturk sent a DMCA in the first place, or even if it was on purpose. Whatever the reason may be, we’re just glad to see the bot up and running again. Hopefully, Twitch will be able to take additional preventative measures against something like this happening again in the future.

  • NICKMERCS under fire for “anti-LGBTQ+” comment about Pride Month in schools – Dexerto

NICKMERCS under fire for “anti-LGBTQ+” comment about Pride Month in schools Twitch: NICKMERCSPopular Twitch streamer and FaZe Clan co-owner Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff has come in for criticism, after suggesting that “little kids” should be left alone in regards to Pride Month being recognized in schools. On June 7, a tweet went viral showing a large brawl outside of a school. It’s widely reported that the incident was caused by a school board decision to acknowledge June as Pride Month. The brawl resulted in three arrests. Esports casting legend Puckett commented that the fight had taken place not far from where he used to live, and that “Americans are in a sad place right now. Let people love who they love and live your own life.” NICKMERCS responded to Puckett’s tweet, stating: “They should leave little children alone. That’s the real issue.” This response quickly sparked backlash, with some accusing NICKMERCS tweet of being hateful towards the LGBTQ+ community. Update, June 8, 1:30pm ET: Nick has since responded to the backlash, clarifying that he did not intend to upset anyone, and that he is particularly sensitive of the issues due to the recent birth of his child. He added that he stands by his tweet. NICKMERCS under fire for Pride Month tweet Puckett himself disagreed with Kolcheff, asking “Who is this they and what terrible act is everyone afraid of? I think/hope the goal of most of ‘them’ is to reduce child suicides. This is done through acceptance and removing the stigma of feeling/being different.” OpTic Hutch also called out Nick’s tweet, telling him “‘The gays are going after your kids’ is the same tired a** claim that folks with feeble minds have been saying for decades and decades now. It’s not new.” Goldenboy, another legendary esports caster and host, replied, “I’m disappointed in you Nick. Teaching acceptance and tolerance for EVERYONE is a valuable life skill for all ages.” Apex Legends community calls out NICKMERCS The gaming communities where Nick is best known also had many voices critical of his tweet. Some fans called the tweet a “thinly veiled anti-LGBTQ dog whistle during Pride Month”. VEXED Coach “Loopy” said he would never work or watch another MFAM event (NICKMERCS’ events), calling him a bigot and a “loser.” Apex streamer Hamb1no said, “Nick is someone I’ve looked up to so much in this scene ever since he’s stepped into it, always respected his grind to get better, but this just f**king sucks to see, knowing this is how he really sees people like me.” Apex Legends developer Oscar Aguirre called Nick’s comment “harmful, incorrect and ignorant.” Trans Apex player Luciian, who had played with Nick before, said “When I got the chance to play with Nickmercs he was so sweet towards me. His chat was extremely kind and trans-affirming and genuinely so sweet. MFAM treated me so well. But what I saw today broke my heart. Unfortunate to see him stoop down to the groomer narrative.” NICKMERCS addressed the backlash on his stream. He said that he didn’t mean to upset anyone, but stands by his comment and won’t apologize.

  • NICKMERCS to host his first ever charity stream as part of extensive new ‘MFAM Project’ charity effort – Dexerto

NICKMERCS to host his first ever charity stream as part of extensive new ‘MFAM Project’ charity effort For the first time in his professional streaming career, content creator Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff will be hosting a live charity stream on his popular Twitch channel. The charity stream will be to raise money and awareness for Prader-Willi syndrome, a genetic disorder that causes obesity, intellectual disability, and shortness in height. All of the money raised through donations received during the stream will go towards the Foundation for Prader-Willi Research, a non-profit organization established in 2013, whose mission is to “eliminate the challenges of PWS through the advancement of research and therapeutic development.” The charity stream will take place on Saturday, December 8 at 1 PM PT / 4 PM ET live on NICKMERCS’ Twitch channel, which we will also include here once things kick off. – #TheMFAMProject – Prader-Willi Syndrome #PWSVideo out now. Charity stream tomorrow! :punch::skin-tone-3: https://t.co/7N7k6vMpyg pic.twitter.com/hvomGQgoiM — 100T Nickmercs (@NICKMERCS) December 7, 2018 With fewer than 20,000 cases per year in the United States, PWS is categorized as a very rare disorder, which may be part of the reason why talk of it in the public square has taken a backseat to other, more well-known health issues. Well, NICKMERCS is out to change all that, as he and his family have been directly and severely affected by PWS. His cousin, Marco Kolcheff, is a patient of PWS, and with there being no cure, he has to be under constant care. In a video published on Nick’s YouTube channel, the popular streamer offers a rare glimpse into his personal life away from the entertainment and gaming, as he, Marco, and several other key family members bravely opened up about how their lives have changed due to PWS. In the video, Nick explains that this charity stream will be the first installment of what he’s calling the ‘MFAM Project,’ a series of charity efforts that will raise money and inspire discussion about any difficulties and issues that he, his family, or his streaming community may be going through. “To keep it simple, it’s just a series of charity events that we’re going to be doing on stream,” he explained. “But I want to document it. I want to look back when I’m older and say ‘hey we did this and this is how we did it.’” “Nick has been wanting to do something like this for a long time,” said talent manager Justin Miclat, “And after the amazing year he had, we all felt like it was time to turn the MFAM Project from concept to reality.” Nick’s management team, composed of Justin and his partners Stever Clerge and Justin LeCesne at The Kinetic Group, have been hard at work over the past few months in helping Nick put this charity project together. “The MFAM Project is charity taken to a whole new level,” they said, “It will really open some eyes about the massive impact streamers can have on some of the world’s biggest and toughest issues.”

  • NICKMERCS trolls David Dobrik with hilarious Warzone “broken controller” routine – Dexerto

NICKMERCS trolls David Dobrik with hilarious Warzone “broken controller” routine Star Twitch streamer NICKMERCS pulled a fast one on Warzone teammate David Dobrik recently by pulling out the old “broken controller” move, and the poor YouTuber never saw it coming. Trolling your teammates in Call of Duty has been around much longer than Warzone, but it’s certainly a tradition that’s still alive and well, and one that’s often used by NICKMERCS. As one of the biggest streamers on Twitch, the FaZe Clan superstar always brings in extra viewers when teaming up with other content creators, especially when it comes to the likes of Timthetatman and Cloakzy – two fellow Twitch giants who he plays up with on a daily basis. During a recent stream, Nick added a certain David Dobrik into the mix, and since the pair haven’t played much in the past, it was the perfect opportunity to “initiate” the YouTuber with some good ol’ tomfoolery. No one escapes the “broken controller” routine… not even @DavidDobrik 🤣@NICKMERCS | #MFAM pic.twitter.com/MBQ2pgNKxT — MFAM Central (@MFAMCentral) December 28, 2020 Pretending his controller was “glitched,” NICKMERCS claimed he couldn’t revive Dobrik because his gamepad was causing him to ‘T-Bag’ the downed player, all while failing to keep a straight face. “No, no, my controller always does this bro, I don’t know it’s crazy,” the streamer joked as David begged to be pulled up. “Ah come on man, I’m trying, it’s this weird glitch.” Timthetatman, who’s no stranger to Nick’s antics, scolded him for tormenting Dobrik, who was in the middle of his own apology before showering the streamer with hilarious curse words. “Stop bullying David, Nicholas. It’s his first time playing with us bro, god.” Eventually, Dobrik got some help and managed to get back on his feet, but jokingly swore he was “never coming back” to play with the group – and who can blame him? That said, the YouTuber should have done his research since this isn’t the first time Nick’s resorted to this sort of in-game clowning. The same type of situation happened a few months ago, again involving Timthetatman (noticing a trend here?) and this time it was Tim who had to sit there and watch Nick T-Bag his downed character. Huh, @NICKMERCS’ controller was probably glitching out or something… 🤔😏#MFAM pic.twitter.com/vSjZ9zU5GM — MFAM Central (@MFAMCentral) October 28, 2020 Let this be a warning to any big-name streamer, YouTuber, or content creator who plays Warzone with NICKMERCS – if it’s your first time, be prepared to get trolled as you’ve never been before.

Announcing the event via Twitter, NICKMERCS joked that “life’s a trip man”, before saying: “The team & I are beyond excited to work with the UFC & take the MFAM Gauntlet to a whole new level. See y’all in Las Vegas baby!” Attached was a UFC clip showing an official advertisement with the message: “Live at UFC X during International Fight Week – NICKMERCS takes on TimTheTatman. Most notably, it’s not actually clear whether the pair will be fighting, or the event will be about something else, perhaps gaming. The MFAM have promised new details very soon, so keep your eyes on Nick’s social channels. Despite Twitch, YouTube, and TikTok’s recent tendency towards boxing matches as a way of settling online disputes, very few of us foresaw a UFC event between two streaming giants. As more details become available, we’ll cover everything you need to know.

  • NICKMERCS teases “huge, huge move” amid YouTube’s latest Twitch poaching spree – Dexerto

NICKMERCS teases “huge, huge move” amid YouTube’s latest Twitch poaching spree YouTube: NICKMERCSNick “NICKMERCS” Kolcheff looks set to drop a major bombshell on his streaming future soon, with the Call of Duty superstar teasing that he’s been working on a “huge, huge move” for his career right in the middle of YouTube’s latest high-profile Twitch poaching raids. Valkyrae, CouRage, Dr Disrespect, TimTheTatman, DrLupo: the list of Twitch stars defecting to YouTube — some voluntarily, others not so much — continues to grow. And now, it looks like NICKMERCS may join the exodus. The 30-year-old star didn’t name drop YouTube exactly, but he did tease “the biggest deal of [his] life,” which he had just recently inked up. The streamer’s hints come nearly two years after he put pen to paper on his original Twitch partnership, which understands was a two-year deal. “I can’t tell you guys too much, but I just signed the biggest deal of my life… the biggest deal,” he revealed on Sep. 2. “This is like, the kind of deal that’s not about you anymore. It’s about your family, your friends, all that sh*t, you know? “So, we’re making moves. Huge, huge moves.” NICKMERCS first joined Twitch — then called Justin TV — in late 2010. Since then, his popularity on the streaming platform has ballooned, and he now boasts 6.2 million followers, 69k subscribers, and regularly rakes in 50k concurrent viewers. There is, of course, every chance he still stays with Twitch too. Two years ago, when he signed on to appear exclusively on Twitch amid the original streaming wars, he described staying on one website as “very special.” “I’ve been streaming on Twitch for seven or eight years now, almost as long as it’s existed,” he said in 2019. “I’d love to be able to stay on one platform. [It’s] almost like staying on the same professional sports team, throughout my career.” The relevant section begins at 13:27:09 in the broadcast below. TimTheTatman and DrLupo echoed similar sentiments about Twitch during their multi-million dollar 2019 signings, however. Tim Behtar claimed he “couldn’t see himself anywhere else,” and DrLupo said the Amazon-owned platform gave him the best “financial security” compared to any streaming rivals. NICKMERCS already boasts 4.04 million followers on his main YouTube channel. He regularly hits between 100,000 and 200,000 views on video uploads. Kolcheff went on to describe the deal as “a beefer.” “It’s a big one… a big contract,” the Twitch streamer continued. “It’s good, great things. You guys are gonna love it. I can’t go over details yet, but soon, trust me. It’s been a big year, and next year is going to be even bigger. Chat, I will tell you as soon as I can. I just can’t tell you yet. It’s the biggest deal of my life.” NICKMERCS also stopped the hints to thank his ‘MFAM’ community for their role in his career. He said, “Every time we do something crazy, like this, I kick it back to you. We have a great, great community here.” Read More: Twitch knocked back exclusive Asmongold deal – And soon, he revealed, the party begins: “We’re flying to Vegas [soon], popping bottles, celebrating.
