NICKMERCS takes shots at Nadeshot in first FaZe stream after 100 Thieves exit FaZe Clan / Instagram: NadeshotNick ‘Fortnite Battle Royale to criticise his former friend in his first broadcast as a member of FaZe Clan. NICKMERCS shocked fans when he announced that he was leaving 100 Thieves, stating that Nadeshot had broken promises to him, and that he wanted “nothing to do” with the former OpTic Gaming star. While the reason for the hostility between FaZe’s newest member and Nadeshot remained under wraps to begin with, Drama Alert host Daniel ‘KEEMSTAR’ Keem revealed that Nadeshot had offered NICKMERCS 5% of 100 Thieves but “didn’t pay up,” a claim that NICKMERCS backed stating: “Ain’t no rumor home. Is what it is.” While Nadeshot has stated that he won’t be addressing the issue between himself and NICKMERCS publicly, it hasn’t stopped the professional Fortnite player from airing his grievances against 100 Thieves and founder Nadeshot, taking another swipe at him in his first Twitch stream as a FaZe Clan member. After informing his teammates that he was short on materials, NICKMERCS received an offer to share NioRooch’s loot in a 50/50 split, with Kolcheff turning it down and saying: “Let’s do 95/5.” “Let me get 95%, you get 5%. You cool with that or what?” NioRooch replied: “Um, yeah. I mean, fuck it. I get 5% though, right?” NICKMERCS then immediately referenced his issue with 100 Thieves, saying: “Yeah, I mean, we’ll take the materials, we’ll divide them up, but then a little bit down the road it might change a little bit, you know. Word bro. Appreciate that trust. That’s what good friends do, they trust each other.” NICKMERCS is one of the most popular Fortnite Battle Royale streamers in the world, and joins FaZe as a huge creator in his own right as the organization face the prospect of losing their biggest star Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney, who is currently suing to get out of his contract. FaZe Clan’s Fortnite Battle Royale team will be back in action this week, as players attempt to secure their spot at the Fortnite World Cup in Week 8 of qualifying, which kicks off on Saturday, June 1.

  • NICKMERCS announces streaming return 12 days after Pride Month drama & CoD skin saga – Dexerto

NICKMERCS announces streaming return 12 days after Pride Month drama & CoD skin saga YouTube: NICKMERCSAlmost two weeks removed from Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff’s divisive Pride Month tweet, the Twitch streamer has now marked his return date to the platform. On June 7, NICKMERCS hit send on a tweet that would dramatically alter the course of his month. A divisive comment arguing “little children” should be ‘left alone’ in schools regarding the acknowledgment of Pride Month. His 10-word response to the matter erupted across social media. In a matter of hours the post had spread well beyond the FaZe Clan content creator’s typical sphere of influence and caught fire all over mainstream media. One day later, video game publishing giant Activision pulled his custom NICKMERCS operator bundle from the Call of Duty store. Standing by his comments all the while, close friend and fellow content creator TimTheTatman also joined the conversation, asking Activision to remove his custom operator bundle from the game as well in solidarity. Ever since, the whole ordeal has split communities across the board, with thousands chiming in on the situation. Now almost a fortnight on from the genesis of the controversy, NICKMERCS is returning to a live setting, with his next Twitch broadcast now locked in. “Streams are back tomorrow, [see you] soon gang,” he recently shared in an Instagram story. Monday, June 19 will therefore mark his return to the platform, 10 days since his last appearance. Content on his multiple YouTube channels has also been halted during this turbulent time. Given his Twitter fandom skyrocketed amid the ensuing drama, there’s no doubt NICKMERCS’ first stream back on Twitch will draw quite the crowd too. In fact, even while remaining offline during the controversy, his Twitch account has still only grown, amassing almost two thousand new followers a day at the height of the saga. As for what to expect with his first livestream back, we’re sure thousands watching along will be eager to hear more about the situation from his perspective. Whether or not he’ll choose to address it head-on with a more elaborate statement, however, remains to be seen. We’ll be sure to update you here tomorrow as further details emerge from his return to the spotlight.

NICKMERCS “stands by” controversial Pride tweet in return to streaming after CoD skin removal FaZe ClanFaZe star NICKMERCS has finally returned to streaming following outrage over a tweet he penned about Pride Month in schools, and says he still “stands by” his words. FaZe co-owner and Call of Duty streamer NICKMERCS came under fire in early June due to a comment he made about a protest that took place outside a school in Glendale, California. The protest was reportedly sparked by a board meeting regarding the recognition of Pride Month at the school. NICKMERCS offered his response to the matter, saying in a now-viral tweet: “They should leave little children alone. That’s the real issue.” The streamer’s post took social media by storm, with many users calling his tweet “homophobic” and “Anti-LGBT.” Activision eventually removed his operator skin from Warzone 2 & Modern Warfare 2 as a result of the backlash, but not before streamers like Dr Disrespect voiced support for the MFAM leader. NICKMERCS addressed the outrage in a stream on June 7, saying he “didn’t mean to upset anybody” but that he’s “not apologizing about the tweet, because I don’t feel like it’s wrong.” After this, the influencer took a step back from streaming and claimed he’d return to his regularly scheduled content on June 19. NICKMERCS says Pride tweet made people “show their true colors” Now, he has addressed the issue once again, claiming he still “stands by” what he said and feels people showed their “true colors” amid the “mess” that resulted from his post. “A lot of people showed their true colors,” he said. “Another positive in this mess. You kinda get to see what people think about you. People who hate you — it just kinda like, it gives them more ammunition to hate you, I guess. And people who f*ck with you, they f*ck with you more now.” NICKMERCS slams Call of Duty after operator skin removal He also called out Activision for removing his CoD skin, arguing that he “didn’t say anything” offensive. “My manager’s not gonna want me to say this, but I just gotta keep it a buck,” he added. “But of all the f*ckin’ companies — Call of Duty? That’s the company? Is anybody else bam-f*cking-boozled by that? …I didn’t even say anything! I keep thinking, it’s like I went up there and did a speech!” Referencing his previous steam addressing the matter, NICKMERCS continued to state that his tweet was not meant to target LGBTQIA+ people, “How the f*ck was that anti-[LGBTQIA+]?” he asked. “Listen, these kids are very young. Can’t they just go be kids? Can’t they just be children? It’s got nothing to do with that.” NICK’s controversial tweet may have gotten him removed from Call of Duty, but it also sparked a massive influx of followers for the streamer, who gained a whopping 50,000 followers on Twitter amidst the outrage. For now, it’s unclear if NICK’s operator skin will ever return — but for now, it looks like business as usual for the FaZe star and his newly-increased fan following.

NICKMERCS slams HusKerrs for “dirty rat energy” after flexing his viewership Twitter: @NICKMERCS, @HusKerrsPopular streamer NICKMERCS is never one to back down from voicing his opinions. After a clip of him calling out a viewer went viral, he didn’t hold back from HusKerrs and his girlfriend, p90princess, who called him out. Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff has made a name for himself being a top Battle Royale player and entertainer. From competing in Fortnite, Warzone, to Apex he has made quite the living off these games. The Twitch streamer was minding his own business just vibing with his chat when a viewer decided to call out his low number of views on YouTube. NICKMERCS opted to take this moment to hit back at this viewer and let him know that it doesn’t matter what his views are because he’s making a ton of money. NICKMERCS responds to hater in his chat In a clip from his stream, you can hear NICKMERCS hitting back at a hater in his chat that was bringing negative energy. The viewer was pointing out his recent Apex Legends YouTube videos and how they weren’t pulling the same views as the Warzone ones. Yo @NICKMERCS straight-up RIPPED this dude to shreds 🤣💀 pic.twitter.com/4gDHJwCZCf — MFAM Central (@MFAMCentral) September 8, 2021 “Bro those views that we’re getting right now on YouTube makes money than your family sees in a f**king year, in a month.” He also added that he just enjoys playing certain games right now and he will continue to upload what he wants. While he didn’t engage further with the person that came at him, other streamers were quick to voice their opinions on the situation. NICKMERCS calls out HusKerrs and p90princess Streamer FooYa praised NICKMERCS saying to normalize flexing on people who are rude in chat. However, HusKerrs’ girlfriend, p90princess, did not take this lightly. She immediately mocked the “Peace & love” motto that Nick uses. https://twitter.com/p90princess/status/1435842737320853505 She also claimed that “This is his go-to thing to flex to people. He did it to HusKerrs too. It’s wild.” Back in May of 2021, Warzone streamer HusKerrs addressed his issues with Nick over a tournament. NICKMERCS didn’t hold back the way he felt either. He called out both HusKerrs and his girlfriend’s “dirty rat energy” claiming they’re mad he pulls more viewers than them regardless of what he streams. Huskers & you are mad that I get more viewers doing a fuckin arm extension than he does in the finals of a tournament. He expressed that on his stream. Dirty rat energy, both of ya. And the gaming space sees that. They see right through it. Suck to suck. Be better. 🧀🐀🐀🧀 — FaZe Nickmercs (@NICKMERCS) September 9, 2021 Nick is one of Twitch’s top streamers and even on his workout streams, he pulls tons of viewers. Meanwhile, HusKerrs, who has reached the finals of big Warzone tournaments isn’t coming close to matching his viewer count. NICKMERCS ends his little rant with “Suck to suck. Be better.” No matter what side you’re on, it seems that NICKMERCS will continue to be himself and entertain his viewers the way he wants to — even if that means beefing with other streamers along the way.

NICKMERCS stands by controversial Pride Month tweet but “didn’t mean to upset anybody” NICKMERCSTwitch streamer and FaZe Clan co-owner NICKMERCS has spoken out after a tweet he penned concerning Pride Month recognition in schools sparked backlash online. On June 7, NICKMERCS published a tweet in response to a video of a massive brawl taking place outside a school in Glendale, California. The fight was reportedly sparked by a school board meeting discussing the recognition of Pride Month on campus, which was approved by unanimous decision later that day, as told by the LA Times. NICKMERCS’s response to the post argued that the education of LGBTQIA+ topics should not be taught in schools, writing, “They should leave little children alone. • NICKMERCS shaves hair off in the name of charity as he raises huge amount of money – Dexerto

NICKMERCS shaves hair off in the name of charity as he raises huge amount of money NICKMERCS / TwitchPopular Twitch streamer Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff raised over $50,000 in a single charity stream, with the money going towards the Foundation for Prader-Willi Research, shaving his hair off in the name of fundraising. Prader-Willi syndrome is an incurable genetic disorder, affecting newborns and causing weak muscles, poor feeding and slow development. Once a child, PWS causes constant hunger which often leads to obesity and Type-2 Diabetes. NICKMERCS cousin, Marco Kolcheff suffers from PWS and must receive constant care, from his family and caretaker. In just over a ten hour stream, NICKMERCS hit his goal of $50,000 and then some, with various milestones along the way with forfeits he would have to complete. Starting at $5,000, he shaved his beard and moustache, a cosplay live stream at $10,000, a makeover at $15,000, all head hair shaved at $20,000, his subscribers picking a cosplay at $25,000 and finally getting an MFAM (the name for his community) at $50,000. Thanks to his massive following, and some big donations from fellow streamers Ninja, SypherPK and others, he topped out at $54,000 raised for the PWS charity. Presumably he will also be getting his MFAM tattoo after hitting the top goal on the day, not to mention whatever his subscribers decide he must cosplay as. NICKMERCS has set out to do more charity streams in the future as part of ‘The MFAM Project’, focused on issues or difficulties and issues that he, his family, or community of fans feel are important. • NICKMERCS shuts down CouRage’s Apex Predator rank celebrations: “Got carried” – Dexerto

NICKMERCS shuts down CouRage’s Apex Predator rank celebrations: “Got carried” NICKMERCS / CouRage100 Thieves co-owner Jack ‘CouRage’ Dunlop has finally hit Apex Legends Predator rank, but NICKMERCS isn’t buying into the hype. Having joined fellow creators TimTheTatman, NICKMERCS, and Cloakzy in taking a break from Warzone, CouRage has decided to take ranked play to a new level. This time, pushing for Masters’s rank and now Apex Predator. Unfortunately for Jack, after he announced his achievements on Twitter, people started commenting under his post about how he didn’t really deserve it, attempting to invalidate his skills. Among those ‘haters,’ is actually his fellow Warzone teammate Nick, who has claimed CouRage was carried by his teammates NiceWigg and Tannerslays. NICKMERCS responds to CouRage hitting Predator After reading a comment in-stream regarding CouRage’s reactions since reaching Apex Predator rank, the leader of the MFAM had this to say: “Yeah, I don’t know. I love Jack, I really do. But I don’t care if I’m on stream or if it’s him and me sipping a drink, I’m gonna tell him. He got carried.” Continuing on, Nick says: “I don’t care. I’ll tell him,” showing that even though they are friends, he’s not hesitant to tell him how he feels – even if CouRage doesn’t think he was. CouRageJD claps back When you’re in the spotlight the way CouRage is, there are bound to be people ‘hating’ on you and tearing down any accomplishment you manage to achieve. It seems he’s had enough now, too. In his original tweet announcing his rank achievement, the YouTube streamer stated: “To the thousands of people who have tweeted me I got carried and that I’m not good enough to get Predator, you’re all trash. “Spend more time getting better at the game instead of chirpin.” Apex. Fucking. Predator. To the thousands of people who have tweeted me I got carried and that I’m not good enough to get Predator, you’re all trash. Spend more time getting better at the game instead of chirpin’ Solo/Duo queue ONLY to Predator. GG! pic.twitter.com/dkk5Y2eyzL — Jack “CouRage” Dunlop (@CouRageJD) August 19, 2021 Not to mention this tweet a few hours later, where he brags about his ranking. Me going to sleep tonight knowing I’m Apex Predator and all the losers in my mentions telling me I got carried will never accomplish what I did pic.twitter.com/tuP6J0Y0ok — Jack “CouRage” Dunlop (@CouRageJD) August 20, 2021 Apex Legends Reddit users respond The streamer’s original tweet made it to the Apex Legends subreddit, where a screenshot of was posted and members of the subreddit questioned his skills. This sparked a little bit of anger in CouRage, as he then posted a tweet explaining his path to Predator. In the tweet, he said: “Got the first Reddit hate thread of my career. Here is my response,” with two pictures of text explaining how he made it to Predator rank. Got my first Reddit hate thread of my career. Here is my response. The Internet is an interesting place. See you all on stream later. pic.twitter.com/MnkKSb7nE2 — Jack “CouRage” Dunlop (@CouRageJD) August 20, 2021 CouRage goes on to state in his pictures: “So, this season I deliberately took it upon myself to solo queue and shot call all my games to help me understand the game better. I literally didn’t earn a single point from High Predator with a full squad. Anyone that watched my stream or kept up with the tweets of my off-stream gameplay would know that.” The streamer continues talking about how he has been playing with NiceWigg and Tannerslays, before finally admitting that he was carried to Diamond 4 rank. So, maybe CouRage might have been carried to predator halfway, and he definitely had help from pretty talented people. One thing is for certain, though… He’s not going to let anyone take it away from him.

  • NICKMERCS says Hasan is “dead to him” after comments on Dr Disrespect’s marriage – Dexerto

NICKMERCS says Hasan is “dead to him” after comments on Dr Disrespect’s marriage Twitch: NICKMERCS / Twitch: HasanAbiNICKMERCS has cut ties with Hasan, stating that the streamer is “dead to him” over a comment made to Dr Disrespect amid the Pride Month controversy. As one of the most popular streamers on Twitch, NICKMERCS has been making headlines recently — only it’s not for his usual shooter games or battle royales. The streamer found himself in the midst of controversy after posting a tweet in response to a Pride Month protest. He has been heavily criticized on social media and had his operator bundle removed by Call of Duty after stating “They should leave little children alone”. Given the divisive nature of the situation, many have been critical of the popular content creator, while others, like TimTheTatman and Dr Disrespect, have publicly shown support for their close friend. Now the controversy is continuing in a new direction, with NICKMERCS cutting ties with fellow streamer HasanAbi over a comment the latter made to DrDisrespect while the saga was escalating. Following Call of Duty’s removal of NICKMERCS’ bundle, DrDisrespect uninstalled the game in solidarity. But Hasan was not supportive of this move, reacting to the decision by saying: “He’s more loyal to NICKMERCS’ having his skin [in the store] than his own wife.” Now NICKMERCS has clapped back, coming to DrDisrespect’s defense by declaring in his return stream that Hasan is “dead to him.” NICKMERCS alleges he privately messaged Hasan to confirm that he would be cutting ties with the streamer. “Have your opinions; we can agree to disagree, you can say the things you want to say of course,” NICKMERCS explained. “But it’s the guy’s anniversary, and you’re saying s*** like that?” NICKMERCS received a lot of support in his chat for the decision. Fans praised the streamer for not letting Hasan’s comment fly, with one commenting “[Hasan] needs to be canceled [to be honest]”. Others were less impressed by the controversy, and even called into question the legitimacy of the drama. “Anything to make them money,” one commenter posted. Another said, “So dramatic. Y’all adults [laughing out loud].” For now, it seems NICKMERCS remains unbothered, making it clear he is unaffected by the loss of Hasan’s friendship. “I know he’s not going to lose any sleep over our relationship or anything man, I’m not either,” NICKMERCS said in regards to cutting off the streamer. Hasan has yet to respond to NICKMERCS’ latest comments on stream, but we’ll be sure to keep you updated as the story continues to progress. • NICKMERCS roasts TimTheTatman for “holding him back” in Apex Legends Ranked play – Dexerto

NICKMERCS roasts TimTheTatman for “holding him back” in Apex Legends Ranked play NICKMERCS / TimTheTatmanPopular streamer NICKMERCS is widely known for teaming up with TimTheTatman and Cloakzy on games like Call of Duty and Apex Legends. Unfortunately for him, that doesn’t mean he never regrets it. NICKMERCS may be somewhat new to the Apex Legends world after announcing he is temporarily leaving Warzone, but there’s no doubt that some of his FPS talents have translated over to the futuristic battle royale game. Since the switch from Warzone, Nick – as well as his teammates TimTheTatman and Cloakzy – have seen viewership numbers that place the trio in the top ten list of Apex Streamers on Twitch. What stands out the most when it comes to watching TimTheTatman is how often he dies in games. Whether it be fall damage, losing in a shoot out or not getting a crown in Fall Guys, TimTheTatman is used to taking on the character of ‘scapegoat’ in a team. NICKMERCS & TimTheTatman chasing Apex Diamond rank In an August 9 stream, it seems as if nothing has changed on that front. While in a shootout with enemy players, Nick, Tim and Cloakzy get squad wiped and lose the match during their quest to reach Diamond rank in Apex Legends. Right after, Nick says “F**k” while glaring at the camera and you can hear TimTheTatman in the background saying: “I didn’t know you were down, down”. When they finally leave the lobby and Nick sees they lost rank points, he smacks his forehead repeatedly. NICKMERCS being held back? While the team waits in the queue for a new ranked match, NICKMERCS goes on a rant about his teammates, claiming he’s being held back by them. “I am going into these matches under the assumption that I am going to climb in diamond. I messed up.” Then, it turned into a meme Soon after, Nick took to Notepad to express his emotions. “This used to help me back in high school,” he joked. As the FaZe Clan star switches the screen over to show it, he proceeded to type: “You are not gonna climb diamond with Tim” repeatedly. With many typos in his sentences, this leads to him smashing the keyboard and yelling “F**k!”. While the future of the team might have been in doubt for a few hilarious moments, there’s no doubt that they will reunite again in the Apex Games. Maybe someday, they will hit Diamond rank together, but not at this rate.

Although it has been a while since he competed, Kolcheff could not help but comment on the Doc’s gameplay on the just released Gears 5. The latest addition to the Gears of War series was recently launched on September 6. Dr Disrespect had decided to try his hand at some online King of the Hill and was instantly judged on his movement by the Fortnite star, who had tuned into his Twitch stream while queuing for a game. The Doc was moving around and testing all of the controls when Nick had chosen to watch, and after seeing him miss an easy shot on an unsuspecting opponent, slated the Doc’s gameplay, calling him a “Bot.” “He’s a fucking bot” NICKMERCS expressed, clearly disappointed by the Doc’s level of gameplay and even offered his fellow streamer some help, “Doc, baby, we got to teach you the way of Gears, Yikes!” NICKMERCS continued to reference the Doc’s struggles with some of the new games he tries out on stream, responding to one of his viewers’ comments, “there hasn’t been a game yet that the doc hasn’t uninstalled and installed back the same day, that’s true.” Dr Disrespect’s progress on Gears 5 may have been hindered by some of the tech issues he encountered when first trying to play the latest Gears of War game, which saw him exploding on stream due to some unwanted notifications. Despite the Doc’s willingness to try many new games on his stream, he still refuses to play the re-release of the popular MMORPG, WoW Classic, even with fellow streamer Shroud inviting him to try it out. However, with the recent release of Gears 5 and the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare beta, Dr Disrespect will likely have his hands full for a while, trying to find his form on each of the popular shooter games.

  • NICKMERCS roasts Nadeshot after Dr Disrespect tries to reunite them – Dexerto

NICKMERCS roasts Nadeshot after Dr Disrespect tries to reunite them Instagram: nickmercs, Nadeshot / MLGAfter Dr Disrespect attempted to reunite them in a Warzone stream, Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff roasted Matthew ‘Nadeshot’ Haag, months after their public spat regarding Nick’s role with 100 Thieves. The split between Nadeshot and NICKMERCS was very open for everyone to see in May 2019, with Nick claiming that Nade made certain promises in relation to his role in the business that never came to fruition. After saying that he “wants nothing to do with Nadeshot,” Nick joined FaZe Clan and has never shown any sign of wanting to reconcile with the 100T founder. In an awkward moment on stream on March 16, Dr Disrespect and Nadeshot were looking for a third player to complete their Warzone team when the Doc suggested that Nick was apparently looking for people to play with, seemingly forgetting about the beef. Immediately, Nade became a little sheepish, unsure of what or why exactly this was happening. “NICKMERCS?” he asked. “I don’t know… Does he know you’re playing with me?” This seemed to trigger Doc’s memory, who made a light joke of it before Matt said he’s not prepared for the comments on social media and asked to “call an audible on the conversation.” Before long, word got round to Nick that there had been mentions of it, with one of his viewers telling him that “Nadeshot wants to play,” laughing at it and telling his chat that they’re funny. He seemed to avoid it at first, saying that it can’t be nice for the Doc to have to play with him on East Coast servers due to the ping issues, before finding himself unable to comment on the matter – albeit in a humorous way. He said “I know he knows I’m not going to play with f**king… little turkey d**k over there. No way.” Perhaps one of the more unique insults we’ve heard, Nick’s honesty is something that has come to make him such a popular name on Twitch, so it’s no surprise that he chose not to simply ignore his viewer who mentioned it. That said, if Nadeshot thought there was any chance of a friendly reconciliation, it seems now isn’t the time, and Nick might make him wait a little longer.

  • NICKMERCS reveals why he confronted Scooter Braun after 100 Thieves exit – Dexerto

NICKMERCS reveals why he confronted Scooter Braun after 100 Thieves exit FaZe Clan / 100 ThievesStar Twitch streamer Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff revealed that he confronted 100 Thieves investor Scooter Braun for defending Matthew ‘Nadeshot’ Haag following his exit from the organization. Following his departure from 100 Thieves and public feud with CEO Nadeshot, NICKMERCS has gone on to build a massive fan base on Twitch and later joined rival organization FaZe Clan. Months on from the drama, NICKMERCS decided to open up again about the rocky exit from his former team and revealed his thoughts on those involved, during one of his recent Twitch broadcasts. While reflecting on his time creating content in Los Angeles, during the early days of 100 Thieves, he highlighted one moment in particular that left him frustrated after leaving the org. Nadeshot and Scooter Braun both appeared on a TechCrunch panel where they were asked about the public feud shortly after it had happened. However, while the 100T founder was hesitant to comment on the matter, Scooter Braun jumped to his defense, accusing Kolcheff of using his platform to spread misinformation. After detailing the events of the interview and pointing out Braun’s take on the feud, the superstar streamer revealed that he actually confronted the 100 Thieves investor after hearing his comments. “I told my agent and my manager to get a hold of Scooter, tell him I want to talk to him and I want to talk to him now,” he admitted, “I get on the phone with this f***ing guy and I ask him what the f*** he’s talking about.” He continued on, revealing more details about his phone call with the entrepreneur: “I remember telling Scooter at one point, ‘when people go up there and lie like that on your name, where I’m from they get slapped in the f***ing mouth’.” Topic starts at 0:12 NICKMERCS added that he did contribute quite a lot to the early stages of 100 Thieves but was never fully recognized for his efforts, also claiming that Braun was not present for much of the matters that he spoke on, sharing that “he came in way later.” However, he also admitted that he does not hold any resentment towards Nadeshot for his actions behind the scenes or the public drama that ensued: “Matt was in a tough spot, I’ve admitted that you know, It was a very difficult spot to be in and I feel for the dude, it was not easy but its part of being of the boss.” It’s been a while since all of the 100T-related drama took place, but Nick said that he finally chose to address the situation more in-depth because of constant questions about from his viewers.

  • NICKMERCS roasted Tyler1 for “smelling like piss” after TwitchCon meet & greet – Dexerto

NICKMERCS roasted Tyler1 for “smelling like piss” after TwitchCon meet & greet NICKMERC/Tyler1Twitch star NICKMERCS roasted fellow streamer Tyler1 to his face after meeting for the very first time, claiming Tyler smelled “stinky.” Despite being superstar streamers, NICKMERCS and Tyler1 had never met face-to-face before. The pair have dominated Twitch for years now, Nick streaming FPS games and Tyler playing League of Legends, but never got the chance to meet up. Finally, the weekend of San Diego TwitchCon and Nick’s MFAM event, the stars aligned for the two fitness-dedicated streamers to meet, and it went as hilariously as you’d expect. NICKMERCS roasts Tyler1 in first meeting On October 11, a few days after their first encounter, NICKMERCS claimed that Tyler smelt “like piss.” Tyler explained what happened that made him smell so bad, “So, I met NICKMERCS for the first time. First thing, before this guy’s even in range of me, he says ‘you smell like sh*t.’” As Tyler left Nick the streamer reiterated that he wasn’t kidding and that Tyler did “actually smell like piss.” Tyler clarified that it wasn’t urine he stunk of and that he had just shown up from a meet and greet at TwitchCon and that he had just shaken tons of fans’ hands. With all the movement and travel, Tyler wasn’t smelling his freshest. Nick explained that Tyler is “his dog” and he would never tell him that if the two weren’t already friendly. Sadly, for him, he had to be the one to tell Tyler that a shower wouldn’t kill him.

  • NICKMERCS reveals the insane cost of his MFAM BBQ event – Dexerto

NICKMERCS reveals the insane cost of his MFAM BBQ event Twitter.com/NICKMERCSNICKMERCS is one of the biggest names in gaming, so it’s no surprise that an in-person event of his would draw out a massive crowd. He revealed in a recent stream exactly how much it cost him out of pocket. The event took place on September 18 in Tampa, Florida, and it was a packed house. People from all over the internet gathered at George M. Steinbrenner Field to celebrate the community and its achievements. Familiar faces such as FaZe Swag, Cloakzy, and TimTheTatman made appearances, as well as Tampa Bay Buccaneers players Mike Evans and Chris Godwin. While the get-together was no doubt a hit, it may only stick around as a yearly event because of the insane price tag associated with it. Three days after it came to a close, the creator announced he had spent $360,000 of his own cash to make it happen. Nickmercs spent a half a million dollars on the MFAM BBQ and ~$360,000 of it was his own money. Talk about putting on for your community. pic.twitter.com/7HiwoOcOas — Wicked Good Gaming (@WickedGoodGames) September 21, 2021 Nickmercs’ MFAM Barbecue While not mentioned in the video, the event was sponsored by CashApp, so it’s likely that they handled the other $140,000 It’s no surprise that this event drew such a crowd, Nick has been making major waves in the gaming scene for the last few years. From becoming a part-owner of FaZe Clan to partnering with Under Armour as the company’s first content creator brand ambassador, things are only trending up for the streamer. While large-scale public events have been on hold for much of the last year, it’s likely that we’ll see other streamers attempt to host similar gatherings in the future. The world of professional sports seems ready for that kind of crossover. TimTheTatman recently announced that he has joined the Dallas Cowboys-backed Complexity Gaming, and that’s only the lastest drop in the bucket. There are already a handful of those ownership groups in the world of gaming – such as Kroenke Sports & Entertainment, who own the Los Angeles Rams as well as the Overwatch League’s LA Gladiators, and the Call of Duty League’s LA Guerillas. It may be a while before we see an event like that, but things certainly seem to be heading in the right direction for it to happen. While it was expensive, NICKMERCS certainly sent his diehard fans home happy – potentially paving the way for others to follow suit.

  • NICKMERCS reveals incredible Thanksgiving plan to feed thousands of homeless people – Dexerto

NICKMERCS reveals incredible Thanksgiving plan to feed thousands of homeless people Instagram: NICKMERCSNICKMERCS has revealed plans to help feed the homeless dinner during the Thanksgiving holiday, stating that he and his family have purchased over a thousand turkeys. As Michigan native Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff has gained popularity over the years, he has made sure to constantly give back to his community and team. The creator has done countless cash giveaways and tournaments, as well as a free community BBQ, and even provided his team with gold chains. Even though he lives in Florida now, Nick has revealed his plan to help supply Thanksgiving dinner to the homeless around his hometown of Detroit, Michigan. NICKMERCS feeds the homeless While recalling the recent MFAM BBQ, Kolcheff remembered that even though that event had plenty of activities for fans, the majority of those in attendance still spent their time waiting to meet him. He explained: “I think if we made it a community event, it would be a little bit weird.” “So here’s what me, my team, and my dad have done,” he continued, “We bought a thousand turkeys. We have a location and a time and have it bought out. What we did was we went to the boys and girls clubs, homeless shelters, and a bunch of other places for people in need. We made them aware that on this day and time we’ll be supplying dinner.” The leader of the MFAM further doubled down on the fact that he doesn’t want it to be a community-based event: “I had this thought of someone needing a meal that day, but they had to weave around people with a sharpie and t-shirt waiting to meet me.” Fans won’t need to worry about missing out, as Nick mentioned that he will be filming a video for his YouTube channel that will give everyone an idea of what it’s like to give food away to those in need.

  • NICKMERCS reveals reason behind Twitch streaming hiatus – Dexerto

NICKMERCS reveals reason behind Twitch streaming hiatus SCUF GamingPopular Twitch streamer Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff has revealed the reason he’s taken a Twitch hiatus citing a “loss of balance” in his life as one of the top names on the platform. Throughout 2020, Nick has become one of the biggest personalities on Twitch – in February, a report even suggested that he earns more on the platform than the likes of Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney and Felix ‘xQc’ Lengyel. Though, as they say, money isn’t everything, and this may be Nick’s outlook as he announced that he will be taking a hiatus from streaming for one main reason. Naturally, this may come as somewhat of a shock to his many fans and subscribers, but his reasoning makes sense. In the tweet Nick posted announcing the news, he revealed that a “loss of balance” was the reason for making this decision, and went into greater detail. “Takin’ a little hiatus from the stream game after back to back to back 200+ hour months,” he said in the May 21 post. “In the gym again, workin’ on my health, physical & mental. Also spendin’ some much needed time with the family.” Takin’ a little hiatus from the stream game after back to back to back 200+ hour months. Lost the balance bros. In the gym again, workin’ on my health, physical & mental. Also spendin’ some much needed time with the family. I’ll be live tomorrow, keep the balance. 👊🏼 — FaZe Nickmercs (@NICKMERCS) May 21, 2020 Though he reveals that he’ll be live “tomorrow” (Friday, May 22) it’s unclear whether it will just be for one of his regular streams or just a short stream after already taking a couple of days away from the platform. Consecutive months amassing over 200 hours on stream is no small task, so it’s not a surprise that Nick might feel that he’s overdoing it, especially during these troubling times. Nick isn’t the first person to cut down their streaming schedule for similar reasons: for example, earlier in February 2020, HAchubby stopped streaming as much so as to focus on her education. Streaming full-time is a big commitment, and just like anyone else, sometimes our favorite personalities might just need a break.

  • NICKMERCS reveals he’s put people in jail due to weekly swattings – Dexerto

NICKMERCS reveals he’s put people in jail due to weekly swattings Twitch: NICKMERCS/Unsplash: @lgnwvrPopular Twitch streamer Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff has revealed that he’s put multiple people in jail due to getting swatted multiple times a week. With the rising popularity of Twitch, swatting has continued to be an issue throughout the community. It involves someone making a false police report that sends the cops or even a SWAT team to a streamer’s house, occasionally putting them in danger. It has even caused streamers like xQc to move into a new house due to it happening every single day. In a recent stream, FaZe Clan co-owner NICKMERCS revealed that he deals with being swatted three times a week and has even had people put in jail over it. NICKMERCS reveals swatting issue On April 23, Kolcheff was conversing with his chat about food when someone brought up the idea that he should do a cooking stream with his wife. After a viewer mentioned that Nick had brought up the subject before, the Twitch streamer ended the topic by explaining why he doesn’t want to have his family on camera. “You know I get swatted three times a f**kin week, you know that? I don’t want anyone to feel bad for me, I just want you to understand that if you were in my shoes you wouldn’t want to put your people on the stream that often either,” he explained. “It’s not a great feeling.” He continued, explaining that he has put two people in jail already. He added: “And, I’m about to make another round, to be honest with you.” As we’ve unfortunately seen with past swatting incidences, it’s fairly common for bigger streamers to be victims of swatting more often. With over 6.4 million followers on Twitch alone, NICKMERCS definitely falls into that category. The issue has even caused creators to have armed police stand outside their homes 24 hours a day.

NICKMERCS reveals how he’s actually “squaring up” vs TimTheTatman at UFC event YouTube: NICKMERCSNick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff has officially revealed how he’s actually “squaring up” with TimTheTatman at the upcoming MFAM Gauntlet UFC event: Battle Of The Ages. On June 10, NICKMERCS posted a cryptic tweet teasing a UFC-related event that put the Twitch streamer against the one and only TimTheTatman. The “Battle Of The Ages” event was revealed two days later during a scheduled pay-per-view, UFC 275, leaving fans wondering if NICKMERCS and TimTheTatman were set to square up inside of the octagon. In a YouTube video on June 14, Kolcheff revealed how he’s actually going to “square up” with TimTheTatman — quashing rumors of a potential physical fight. NICKMERCS “squaring up” with TimTheTatman “Now when we originally rolled out this announcement, it kind of left a lot of people thinking that we were squaring up,” NICKMERCS explained. “Now, I’m gonna keep it a buck fifty with you okay? We’re not squaring up.” He went on to explain that the duo will be “squaring up” on stage in EA Sports UFC 4, and are getting coached by actual UFC athletes. Alongside their own 1v1 UFC match, NICKMERCS and TimTheTatman will lead their own three-person Apex Legends teams. (Topic at 1:00 in the video) NICKMERCS also went on to give fans an idea of who else will be featured during the event: FaZe Kalei, FaZe Nio, and The Baka Bros. At the time of writing, the event lineup isn’t fully known — but Complexity star Claraatwork posted a tweet detailing that she will be going up against Kalei. We’ll be sure to update this article as more information becomes available, but at least we know now that the two streaming stars are not physically fighting.

  • NICKMERCS responds to claims he “fell off” after swapping Warzone for Apex Legends – Dexerto

NICKMERCS responds to claims he “fell off” after swapping Warzone for Apex Legends Activision / YT: NICKMERCSPopular content creator NICKMERCS has responded to claims he ‘fell off’ after moving away from Call of Duty’s Warzone on stream, opting instead for Respawn Entertainment’s Apex Legends. When Warzone first dropped in March of 2020, former Fortnite star NICKMERCS was among those who transitioned to CoD’s battle royale, enjoying it for its simplicity and overall feel. Despite sticking with the game for some time, he has since migrated to Apex Legends, investing considerable time into the Titanfall-inspired battle royale. He has previously spoken about the drop in viewership since taking up Apex, reiterating that it does not hurt him financially. In a December 2 YouTube video, he delved deeper into the topic, saying that while he cares about his viewer numbers, he is not willing to drop Apex Legends because of the level of enjoyment he gets from it. After explaining why he’s not massively excited for Fortnite’s new season or Warzone’s move to the Pacific, Nick explained how, when he becomes “locked in to” one title, it becomes difficult for him to play anything else. He also said that the changing circumstances of the world’s global health crisis have definitely affected Twitch viewership. “I wake up, I see Timmy’s clip talking about how I fell off with 25,000 viewers,” he laughed. “I’ve always been a guy that, I don’t live and die by my numbers but I’m proud of my numbers. Some people don’t give a f**k. I definitely care… When Warzone was at its max, viewership was crazy for everybody, not just me. We were hitting 80,000 viewers playing pubs with Tim. 80k was a normal Tuesday.” He continued: “So that’s a little bit of an unfair assessment, given the current world that we’re living in. Another big one is that we’re playing a game that’s not as popular. Apex is just point blank not as popular [as Warzone]… And not to say that Apex is a small game or small fanbase, because it’s not. It’s just not as big as Call of Duty.” Despite admitting that he does care slightly about the drop-off in numbers, his explanation for it resonated with many fans. He concluded: “Viewership may be down, but we’re still crushing it.” Taking into account the MFAM, the numbers he commands on YouTube, and the positivity he spreads in the community, it’s hard to disagree.

  • NICKMERCS reveals exactly what Nadeshot had promised him prior to 100 Thieves fallout – Dexerto

NICKMERCS reveals exactly what Nadeshot had promised him prior to 100 Thieves fallout Logan Dodson – TwitterSuperstar streamer Nick ‘NICKMERCS‘ Kolcheff has revealed more details about his falling out with 100 Thieves CEO Matt ‘Nadeshot‘ Haag, with the help of YouTuber Daniel ‘KEEMSTAR‘ Keem. Nearly a week has passed since NICKMERCS abruptly announced his departure from 100 Thieves, claiming that Nadeshot had not fulfilled the promises he had made to him when he first joined the organization back in 2016. On May 29, KEEMSTAR tweeted out a rumor about exactly what Nadeshot had promised Nick, and it apparently involved an ownership stake in the org. “Rumor is Nadeshot offered NICKMERS 5% of 100 Thieves but never paid up!” Keem tweeted. “YIKES!” It took only a matter of hours for that rumor to go from plain hearsay to a much more solidified claim, as Nick himself commented on Keem’s tweet and confirmed its validity. “Ain’t no rumor homie,” he replied. “Is what it is.” Nick has already claimed multiple times that he did not receive “a dime” in his first two years with 100 Thieves, but continued to trust that he would ultimately be given what he was due. As for the other side of the story, Nadeshot has already said that he is “not going to make a comment or statement on the situation at hand.” However, that was before Nick posted the reply on Twitter, so there’s a chance that the 100T CEO could change his stance. We have reached out to 100 Thieves for a comment on these claims, and we are currently waiting on a response. Shortly after Nick’s tweet, esports insider Rod ‘Slasher’ Breslau posted that he had spoken to Nick, who had told him the he and Nadeshot had a verbal agreement that he would get 5% equity in the company, but his stake ended up being “substantially less” once the organization received its massive investments. According to Forbes, 100 Thieves is currently valued at between $90-100 million, which means that Nick’s share would currently have a value close to $5 million. NICKMERCS tells me Nadeshot made a verbal agreement with him at the very beginning of 100 Thieves that he would get 5% equity in the company, and when investors came the contract given to him had equity but ‘substantially less’ Forbes has 100 Thieves valued at ~$100 Million — Rod Breslau (@Slasher) May 30, 2019 NICKMERCS vs Nadeshot – what’s gone down so far The esports world was sent into shock on May 25 when NICKMERCS said he wants “nothing to do with” Nadeshot, a day after his unexpected departure from 100 Thieves. As expected, Nick’s comments drew reactions from a lot of people, including OpTic Gaming CEO Hector ‘H3CZ‘ Rodriguez, who said he was siding with Nadeshot during his podcast, calling the 100T CEO honorable for keeping things behind closed doors. These comments did not sit well with Nick, who hit back at H3CZ live on stream, questioning his decision to say what he said about Nick on his podcast. We will, of course, continue to bring you the latest on this continually unfolding saga as more information becomes available. Last Update: May 29, 2019 – 10:25 PM EST

Even NICKMERCS can’t resist Myth’s perfect impression of him ordering food Myth – Twitch / NICKMERCS – TwitchTeam SoloMid streamer Ali ‘Myth‘ Kabbani nailed a perfect impression of fellow Twitch superstar Nick ‘NICKMERCS‘ Kolcheff ordering food for his Fortnite duo Ali ‘SypherPK’ Hassan. Aside from being one of the biggest Fortnite streamers on Twitch, Myth has established quite a reputation for his hilarious, and often on-point, impressions of other top content creators. One of his favorite targets has been NICKMERCS, who is known for his strong personality and a very blunt and direct manner with which he often speaks to people. Taking impersonation recommendations from his chat while livestreaming on September 12, one viewers asked Myth to create a very specific scene featuring Nick. “‘Impression of NICKMERCS ordering at The Cheesecake Factory?’ What the f*ck?” he said, laughing. “That’s so random, but I kind of like that.” He then broke seamlessly into the bit, pretending to be Nick ordering food for SypherPK at a restaurant. “Hey PK, look at that man, they got the fully loaded burrito man, the chicken one. HONEY! Hey PK, listen man. I’m going to hook you up. They got the loaded burrito bro. It’s nuts, so good. Telling you, it’ll get you jacked too. You have to get those calories up.” Read More: Tfue taking a break from streaming – From the gruff voice, to yelling “HONEY!’ at his fiancee, and even the tiny stutters and word repetitions, there is no question that Myth’s impression of the former Gears of War pro was second-to-none. Of course, this isn’t the first time that Myth has done such a quality impersonation of the Fortnite mega-star, having pulled off a perfect one earlier in the year that Nick also found very amusing. He’s also done hilarious bits on other popular Twitch streamers, such as xQc and org-mate Hamlinz, even finding a way to slip in a slight roast about his height.

NICKMERCS responds to backlash over FaZe Clan reboot FaZe ClanNICKMERCS has finally addressed FaZe Clan’s reboot which was hit with backlash after many long-time members, including his friends, were instantly kicked from the organization. The top content creator was one of only fourteen FaZe members left standing following FaZe Clan’s reboot on April 27. The shock announcement from FaZe Banks revealed that the organization had kicked most of its creators from the roster, including long-term members of Rain, Blaze and Cizzorz. Ever since, the organization has faced waves of backlash from it’s former members and the wider gaming community, with many waiting on NICKMERCS to respond. The Warzone streamer has finally returned after a short break and addressed the situation during his Twitch stream on April 29. NICKMERCS began: “I don’t know what’s going on, I’m not in the room that makes decisions, my phone doesn’t get hit up,” and added: “I don’t want the drama, I don’t want the bulls**t.” Despite partially owning the group, he claimed: “I found out the way y’all did. I mean we knew through the grapevine that there was plans being cooked up, but we never knew what it was going to be or who it was going to be. I mean I didn’t even know if I was going to be kept around.” “I think that the general census is they just want a fresh start, a clean start, they want to tighten it up and then expand it how they want, which I can understand,” he stated. Timestamp 23:50 However, the streamer admitted that FaZe member Nate Hill, as well as long-time friend and Warzone teammate Nio, hurt him the most from those that were kicked. “Nate Hill is a worker and he works his damn ass off and he’s done a lot of things for FaZe. But I guess, look, at the end of the day it’s up to those boys it’s not up to me,” NICKMERCS said. In regards to Nio, Nick stated that he “didn’t know if he was going to be on or off, but I found out like you guys did too.” Even though he thought he “benefited greatly” from being on the team, he also said that he “doesn’t need to be on this organization to be successful, I think he’ll be fine.” Overall, NICKMERCS said about how the FaZe reboot was handled: “It wasn’t great, it wasn’t horrible, no way to make everybody happy. I’m thankful and excited you know to be around.” “I’m sad that a few of these people who had to find out the way that they did, but at the same time, look I have a special place in my heart for Banks and those guys man. I feel the pain they went through.”

During Rogan’s MMA Show #58, the UFC commentator was talking gaming with friend and former fighter Brendan Schaub after playing Quake 4. The pair discussed the well-debated controller vs keyboard and mouse war with Rogan jokingly suggesting that controller players have “no life” and “don’t even know what a pussy looks like.” However, podcast producer Jamie Vernon highlighted that NICKMERCS had enjoyed plenty of success in the Fortnite competitive scene despite using a controller against keyboard and mouse users. After returning to streaming in Los Angeles from the ESL Katowice Royale tournament in Poland, the streamer reacted to the segment on the podcast. Nick laughed off Rogan’s claims and responded hilariously shouting: “What’s up Joe?! Motherfucker!” The popular Twitch streamer seemed to enjoy listening to the exchange before telling his chat: “That’s pretty cool right? I’m a big fan of Joe Rogan.” Members of the ‘MFAM’ may be hoping to see the 27-year-old appear on the show one day and Kolcheff responded to a donation stating it would be ‘lit’ to chat with the famous comedian. The 100 Thieves member has a huge amount of earnings from tournaments and recently competed at the ESL Katowice Royale but performed well below his usual standards – finishing out of the money in both the solo and duo event.

Instagram: NICKMERCSNICKMERCS posted a response to a Pride Month protest, which resulted in both backlash and support for the streamer, and eventually, Call of Duty removed his skin from the game. Here’s everything that happened. NICKMERCS is one of the most popular streamers on Twitch, regularly pulling in more than 20,000 viewers on any given stream. He is best known for playing shooter games and battle royales like Call of Duty and Apex Legends. A skilled player and an excellent entertainer, he has amassed a large following, with millions of loyal fans, dubbed MFAM (mercs fam). It’s fair to say that he has never been a particularly controversial streamer, but this changed on June 7, when he made a short but notable tweet. Contents What did NICKMERCS tweet? – How did he respond? – CoD removes NICKMERCS operator – Nick breaks silence on Operator removal – TimTheTatman requests his skin is removed – Nick’s following increases – Nick returns to streaming – What did NICKMERCS tweet about Pride Month? Responding to a tweet about Pride Month being recognized in a school, which had resulted in a brawl and three arrests, NICKMERCS said, “They should leave the little kids out of it. That’s the real issue.” The backlash to this comment was swift, with many in the gaming community calling him a “bigot” and labeling the tweet “anti-LGBTQ.” Their argument is that Pride is important in schools and that NICKMERCS was parroting dangerous rhetoric that implies teaching children about sexuality is akin to grooming. However, many others took NICKMERCS’ side of the debate, citing that he has just had a child, and arguing that it is for parents to choose how and when to have those conversations with children, rather than teachers. How did NICKMERCS respond? On his stream the next day, Nick took a few minutes at the outset to address his tweet. He said that he had not intended to hurt anyone, but recognized that he had. However, he stopped short of apologizing for the tweet, and said he stood by what he said. “I don’t have any quarrel with people on the internet. It wasn’t an anti — I guess — gay tweet. That wasn’t what it was. If you think that I hate you because you’re a certain way, you couldn’t be any more wrong.” Nick did apologize to esports caster Puckett however. Puckett’s tweet is what he had initially replied to, and Nick felt bad for causing chaos in his replies, and having those who took Nick’s side insult him. Call of Duty removes NICKMERCS operator A matter of hours after Nick’s response to the controversy, players noticed that his operator bundle was no longer available in Call of Duty, in either Warzone 2 or Modern Warfare 2. Activision soon confirmed that they had removed the skin, “due to recent events.” “We are focused on celebrating PRIDE with our employees and our community,” they concluded. Players who already owned the skin can, at least at the time of writing, still use it in-game. In response, some CoD players suggested they would uninstall the game or simply stop playing it in protest of Activision’s decision. Others, though, applauded Activision for taking action in the face of the backlash. NICKMERCS breaks silence following his operator being removed The day after his Operator was removed from the in-game store, NICKMERCS put out a statement on Twitter that didn’t directly address the situation. Rather, he thanked those who had his back through the controversy. He spoke fondly of those who stuck with him, and claimed that “friends are created in good times, but families are built through adversity.” And, while he didn’t double down on his initial tweet here, he also didn’t retract it. TimTheTatman requests CoD remove his skin too In a move of solidarity with his friend, TimTheTatman publicly requested that Call of Duty remove his skin from the game too. He said that they had been added together, and that he didn’t feel right having his skin while Nick’s was removed. Call of Duty obliged, and neither operator bundle is available in the store, for Warzone or Modern Warfare 2. NICKMERCS following shoots up amid controversy As of June 12, NICKMERCS gained around 50,000 new Twitter followers, in the fallout of the controversy. Although some people also said they were unfollowing the creator, clearly the attention has earned him some new fans too, as well as perhaps some who just want to see what all the fuss is about. Whether or not NICKMERCS’ Operator skin comes back to the in-game store remains to be seen. He is yet to stream since his last broadcast on June 9. NICK announces return to streaming After more than 10 days away from social media, NICKMERCS returned on June 18, posting a father’s day message, and confirming when he would be streaming again. On Instagram, he plainly stated, “streams are back tomorrow, cya soon gang.” This means he’s due back on Twitch at some point on June 19. Whether he addresses the controversy again, or proceeds as if it’s all behind him, remains to be seen. We’ll keep you updated.

NICKMERCS’ new merch line helps bring MFAM together outside of Twitch NICKMERCSTwitch star Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff has launched a new merch line with permanent inventory, with hopes to bring the MFAM together IRL with better access to his products. When it comes to streamer merch, many of the internet’s most prominent influencers opt for limited-edition ‘capsule’ style drops that sell out in just minutes. NICKMERCS has been one of those creators, with various drops in previous years selling out in just minutes. That is, until now. Nick has officially launched his always-on storefront with permanent merch inventory to help bring the MFAM together outside Twitch. How to get NICKMERCS’ new permanent merch line NICKMERCS’ new merch line can be purchased through his website. When asked about why he decided to launch an always-on merch line, Kolcheff said: Exclusive drops are fun, but that’s not the point. This online store means the community can represent our colors, recognize each other and connect offline. “MFAM has always meant family and this store is going to help the community connect in new ways.” The rest of the lineup includes a hat, beanie, two new t-shirts, as well as a crewneck sweater and custom hoodie — and are permanently available now.

  • NICKMERCS praises Ninja for “opening up the gates” for streamers – Dexerto

NICKMERCS praises Ninja for “opening up the gates” for streamers Ninja/NICKMERCSNick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff took a moment while streaming to give a shoutout to Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins for paving the way for streamers to be successful and turn it into full-time careers. When it comes to Twitch streamers becoming household names, Ninja is considered the first to ever do it. His rise to fame during the beginning days of Fortnite provided a blueprint for all the streamers that came after him. Ninja grinded countless hours of streaming Fortnite to become the most followed account on Twitch, and even though he doesn’t have the same viewership he once had, there’s no doubt about his legacy as a streamer. Ninja also happens to be the first big Twitch streamer to be signed over to a different platform when he went to Mixer, the now-defunct Microsoft-owned streaming platform. A number of Twitch streamers have now left the platform for big paydays at YouTube, such as TimTheTatman. Nick himself has teased a potential shift to streaming exclusively for YouTube as well. NICKMERCS took some time out of his stream to give a big kudos to Ninja, singing his praises and explaining exactly why all streamers owe him a ton. “I’d also like to give a big shoutout to that boy TBlev man. Tyler Blevins. Ninja! Ninja!” Nick said. “Me and Ninja are two very different individuals, but we got a couple things in common. We both love to game. We both love to play competitively. We’re both poppin’ in Halo and stuff. I remember back when all this stuff started popping off for streamers man, he really did lead it, you know. The moves he made and the way he did his thing. “There’s no denying the amount of hours he put in early Fortnite, there’s no denying that. And I’ll never forget it. He really did open up the gates for a lot of this stuff. Big shoutout to him, we all love the kid. We all appreciate him.” While we wait for confirmation if NICKMERCS really is leaving Twitch, his praising of Ninja is a subtle hint that he could be joining Tim and Dr. Lupo for YouTube Gaming’s greener pastures.

  • NICKMERCS mentioned on Joe Rogan’s podcast during discussion about gaming with controllers – Dexerto

NICKMERCS mentioned on Joe Rogan’s podcast during discussion about gaming with controllers collective-evolutionThe online gaming community had cause for excitement on March 4 as Twitch streamer Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff was mentioned on the latest episode of Joe Rogan’s highly popular podcast. On the 58th episode of his MMA Podcast series on YouTube, Joe Rogan sat down with fellow stand-up comedian and former MMA fighter Brendan Shaub after the pair had apparently just ended an intense gaming session on Quake 4. Keeping the gaming trend going, the pair started off with a discussion about the effectiveness of gaming with controller vs a mouse and keyboard. Rogan argued that mouse and keyboard was the way to go, and jokingly made some strong comments when producer Jamie Vernon brought up talented controller players. “They have zero life and they don’t even know what a pussy looks like,” he said while laughing. “Just thinking of one guy, he’s a really aggressive workout dude,” Vernon said. “The guy that I’m thinking of, he’s a video game player, very popular. His name’s NICKMERCS, he’s a good workout dude.” At this point Rogan admitted he was kidding: “I’m only kidding, I’m sure he gets pussy. I’m sure he does.” (For mobile users, the clip begins at the 0:53 mark) While Rogan may be unaware of who NICKMERCS is, the online gaming community certainly is not, as Nick is currently one of the biggest gaming content creators in the world Most know him as a successful Twitch streamer, but Nick has also established quite a presence in esports, starting with a strong pro career in Gears of War before really making his mark in competitive Fortnite. Throughout his career, whether playing casually or competitively, Nick’s tool of choice has always been the controller, which is why he’s become a pioneer and idol of sorts for most Fortnite controller players. Considering his charismatic personality, many have hoped that Nick one day appears on Rogan’s podcast, which would certainly be a must-watch (or must-listen) event. While the prospect of that happening remains unlikely, Nick’s fans can still celebrate the fact that it’s not everyday a gaming personality gets mentioned on Joe Rogan’s show.

  • NICKMERCS mocks Dr Disrespect fans as “literal cyborgs” with hilarious impression – Dexerto

NICKMERCS mocks Dr Disrespect fans as “literal cyborgs” with hilarious impression YT: Dr Disrespect / Twitch: NICKMERCSPopular Twitch streamer NICKMERCS has fired hilarious shots at YouTube entertainer Dr Disrespect, continuing their pseudo-feud and calling the Doc’s fans “literal cyborgs”. Neither NICKMERCS nor Dr Disrespect are known for holding back their opinions, a fact that regularly spices up their live streams. While NICKMERCS continues to dominate Twitch with his Apex Legends content, the moustached maverick is tearing up the YouTube world with the reasons behind his Twitch ban still a complete mystery. The pair have recently been engaged in a friendly back-and-forth over their physical prowess, with both claiming they’d have no trouble dispatching of the other in a bout. In his February 18 live stream, Nick initiated the next chapter of the pair’s friendly feud, throwing shots in his trademark fashion. Speaking about his victory in his state free throw championship as a child, NICKMERCS got on to the topic of the Doc and his audience, and the way the latter hype up the former. “State free throw champion,” Nick said. “Granted, there were like 10 other competitors you know, but that’s not the point. It’s like when Doc says he’s the back-to-back blockbuster. And they [his fans] are like: ‘Oh yeah Doc, back-to-back blockbuster. F**k yeah man, the two-time!’ Doc fans are something else man. Those are the most interesting f**king fans, bro.” “I get them in my tweets every now and then,” he continued. “Because Doc and me have a little back-and-forth, and we’re clearly joking but they’re all like: ‘Oh my god dude he would never step to the cobra skin python, f**king anaconda guy man, yeah! Six-eight black steal moustache, would never lose a fight to anything. Would probably take a bear in a fight’… There’s no way these are real humans, cyborgs man. Literal cyborgs.” The Doc has not replied as of this article’s publication but, given the nature of their relationship, we expect him to come back with equally biting comments.

  • NICKMERCS joins Kick with massive non-exclusive streaming deal – Dexerto

NICKMERCS joins Kick with massive non-exclusive streaming deal NICKMERCSStreaming star Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff has signed a non-exclusive deal with Kick as he’ll now split his time on stream between there and Twitch. Kick has been making waves in the streaming world over the last year, presenting a genuine challenge to Twitch’s dominance. The Stake-backed platform has signed a number of streamers to non-exclusive deals – which allows them to still stream elsewhere – with a number of them being incredibly lucrative. The highest profile of which to date is, without doubt, Kick signing xQc in a reported $100 million contract. They’ve not made too many splashes since the former Overwatch star inked his non-exclusive deal, but that has now changed as they’ve got NICKMERCS joining them for at least a year. NICKMERCS inks one-year streaming deal with Kick That’s right, the leader of the MFAM is joining Kick for at least one year as he has become the latest name to sign a non-exclusive deal. While he has the flexibility to stream on both platforms, the “majority” of Nick’s streams will now be on Kick. That includes his first one, which will come on Monday, October 23 following the conclusion of his MFAM Central event in Las Vegas. “Building a community is everything I’ve ever wanted to do,” the FaZe Clan star said. “By expanding on Kick.com, I’ll be able to reach new audiences and welcome even more fans into the MFAM. We will compete on big stages, host big events, and share new content in new ways. This is a major move for me, and I can’t wait to share this new experience with the community. It’s all for them.” Nick will be hosting a number of his signature MFAM Gauntlet events on Kick too, which could now have bigger prize pools given the massive move he’s made. Streaming on Kick will also allow him to reunite with streamers like Dr Disrespect who he hasn’t been able to appear on Twitch with given the Doc’s long-term ban. So, fans can look forward to that as well.

  • NICKMERCS loses it with Ninja over Fortnite aim assist debate – Dexerto

NICKMERCS loses it with Ninja over Fortnite aim assist debate Epic GamesPopular Twitch streamer Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff found himself in a debate with Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins over Fortnite’s latest aim assist controls, before things spiralled off into a shouting match. The streamers might well host broadcasts playing the battle royale game on different platforms now, with Ninja switching over to Mixer and Nick sticking to Twitch, but that didn’t stop them from teaming up for a livestream on September 25. After joining up with fellow streamers Tim ‘TimTheTatman’ Betar and Jack ‘CouRage’ Dunlop in Fortnite – who stayed quiet for the majority of the argument – there seemed to be some confusion about the communication in the team. Ninja often teams with TimTheTatman and CouRage in Fortnite. At first, it appeared that Ninja was telling NICKMERCS to use the new console aim assist features in order to get more eliminations – added to the game as part of the v10.40 patch – before making a u-turn and recommending the old aim settings instead. Refusing to pull any punches, Nick decided to call him out. “Yo, the first game you’re telling me that the new one is fucking broken, now you’re telling me that you’re watching me and it doesn’t work. You gotta fucking pick one homie!” he yelled. Nick continued: “My aim bot has been sh*tting on people all day boy. I’ve been just destroying people with L2. This guy, see chat… This is what I wanted to kick his ass five years ago because he doesn’t know when to shut the **** up,” – referring to a time they nearly had a fight over a Halo gamebattles match. While it definitely did cause some tension between the two for a split second, there’s no doubt that this brief in-game drama between the two was much more jokey than it might have came off at first. Just moments later, the pair were trying to reboot their two teammates and Ninja swiped a mini shield that Nick clearly had his eyes on. With low health already, just one or two shots would have knocked him down but Blevins decided to not hand it over in yet another hilarious exchange. “I’m not going to give you s**t, until you admit that you’re on the new settings,” Ninja said. He had his suspicions about Nick using the new settings all along, but pretending he was performing well with the older aim assist. After the FaZe Clan player picked up an impressive 13 eliminations in the match, with 24 between the whole squad, they came up short in second place after NICKMERCS was the final player alive and eventually knocked down.

Watch live video from NICKMERCS on www.twitch.tvWatch live video from TimTheTatman on www.twitch.tvHosting the match live on his stream will allow Nick to offer commentary and analysis during the match, while adding a touch of his unique charisma and humor. Fans will have an extra incentive to watch this match on Twitch, since Nick’s friend and fellow streamer TimTheTatman is known to be a huge Cowboys fan, and if the Cowboys were to lose, and lose badly, Nick may turn the stream into a hilarious roasting session. Tim will also be hosting the game on his own channel, which we have also included above. This promotional stream is yet another chapter in the ongoing partnership between Nick and the NFL, which has already seen him play Fortnite Battle Royale with Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans on several occasions. With a huge passion for football, and strong family ties to the sport, Nick’s collaboration with the league is almost the perfect match. “Having already played with Mike Evans, we felt like this was the logical next step for Nick in working with the NFL,” said talent manager Steve Clerge. “We know that this presents the perfect opportunity for both sides to achieve a common goal, which is to entertain fans in a unique way.” Nick’s management team, composed of Steve and his partners Justin Miclat and Justin LeCesne at The Kinetic Group, have been working hard over the past year to develop lasting relationships for Nick, one of which has now turned into a partnership with the NFL. “Working with the NFL opens the door for us to move forward in so many directions,” they said. “A year ago we couldn’t have imagined something like this coming together. Fast forward to today, and we’re just getting started.”

  • NICKMERCS joins FaZe Clan following controversial 100 Thieves exit – Dexerto

NICKMERCS joins FaZe Clan following controversial 100 Thieves exit FaZe Clan – TwitterPopular Twitch streamer Nick ‘NICKMERCS‘ Kolcheff has joined FaZe Clan, less than a week after his contentious departure from rival organization 100 Thieves. On May 30, NICKMERCS officially announced that he had joined FaZe Clan’s star-studded roster of content creators and Fortnite Battle Royale players. He revealed the news live on his stream in front of tens of thousands of anxiously waiting viewers, as well as via a tweet unveiling his iconic MFAM Spartan logo next to FaZe’s. The news of Nick joining came on the ninth anniversary of FaZe Clan’s founding, a day known as FaZe Day, and the organization used that to their advantage in producing a clever skit for the announcement. The video, which was posted on FaZe’s YouTube channel, shows co-founder Ricky ‘Banks’ Banks blowing out a candle and wishing for Nick to join, which ends up coming to fruition just moments later. Banks also posted his own tweet about having Nick on board, expressing excitement for their new partnership. “So stoked to have you NICKMERCS,” he tweeted. “We value a lot of the same things; I love your approach to live. All around good vibes, FaZe vibes.” So stoked to have you @NICKMERCS! We value a lot of the same things, I love your approach to life. All around good vibes, FaZe vibes. Watch the announcement video here: https://t.co/2Ex8FEsw3x — FaZe Banks (@Banks) May 30, 2019 Nick joins FaZe merely days after announcing his departure from 100 Thieves, which ultimately led to a drawn out saga between him and CEO Matt ‘Nadeshot’ Haag. After surprising many and parting ways with 100T, Nick grabbed major headlines by saying he wants “nothing to do with” Nadeshot, claiming that Nade did not deliver on the promises that had been made to him when he first joined the org. On his stream, Nick explained that his stressful situation with 100T opened the door for a move to FaZe, who assured him that they were willing to take care of him in every way possible. “These guys came in when I was f*cking pissed and frustrated with all the way this bullsh*t works behind the f*cking scenes,” he said. “And they said ‘nah, nah, nah. Help us help you. Let’s f*cking take care of you. And then my team, couple of weeks in, they got this sh*t cracking. I feel great.” “FaZe reached out and immediately expressed a commitment to supporting Nick and the MFAM community,” said Justin Miclat, Nick’s manager at the Kinetic Group. “Their desire and ability to support the things that matter the most to Nick, like the MFAM Project, is ultimately what makes us so excited to begin this journey alongside them.” Nick’s team has worked tirelessly behind-the-scenes for the last year-and-a-half to set him up with numerous prestigious sponsorships and partnerships, including several collaborative projects with the NFL. Joining FaZe is obviously a huge step for Nick in his career, as it’s easily the biggest organization he’s been a part of since becoming a full-time streamer. He remains one of the biggest names in Fortnite Battle Royale, and an active participant in most tournaments and competitive events. He is currently still attempting to qualify for the upcoming World Cup, and while FaZe have a plethora of talented players on their roster, he will likely continue to play with his current duo and top controller player ‘Nio,’ despite the fact that he is not a member of FaZe. As for FaZe Clan, the addition of a superstar like NICKMERCS comes at the perfect time, as they’ve been embroiled in a controversial feud with their star man Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney, who filed a lawsuit against the org on May 20. While the conflict with Tfue hasn’t shown signs of subsiding anytime soon, the powerhouse org can at least take solace in knowing they have a major figure like Nick within their ranks.

  • NICKMERCS hits back at OpTic’s H3CZ for siding with Nadeshot – Dexerto

NICKMERCS hits back at OpTic’s H3CZ for siding with Nadeshot 100 Thieves – Twitter / Nadeshot – TwitterThe saga of Nick ‘NICKMERCS‘ Kolcheff’s fallout with 100 Thieves CEO Matt ‘Nadeshot‘ Haag continues to unfold, and now OpTic Gaming‘s Hector ‘H3CZ‘ Rodriguez has found himself in the middle of the drama. During his daily livestream on May 28, NICKMERCS made a point to address the previous day’s episode of H3CZ’s The Eavesdrop Podcast, in which he talked on the nature of Nick’s recent departure from 100 Thieves. In the podcast, H3CZ explained that he was siding with Nadeshot on the matter, and called him honorable for keeping the details of the fallout behind closed doors. This did not sit will with Nick, who took H3CZ’s comments as a slight against him for having made the decision to publicly reveal the reasons for why he left the organization. “I got motherf*ckers that I look up to, like H3CZ, saying he sides with him,” he said. “And then he says some shit like Nade being quiet about is respectable, in a sense. What the f*ck? I don’t know man. I didn’t like hearing that.” Nick went on to point out that it was ironic for H3CZ to side with Nadeshot in a situation like this, when the two themselves had similar issues in the past. “He concluded by saying he sides with Nadeshot,” Nick said. “The comedic part about that, and the irony, is – didn’t this fucking dude go through it with Nadeshot?” Nick, of course, is referring to the organizational disagreements that H3CZ and Nadeshot apparently had that led to Nade leaving OpTic and ultimately striving to create his own esports organization. NICKMERCS continued by saying he understood H3CZ’s position, considering that he’s good friends with Nadeshot and would inevitably give him the benefit of the doubt. However, while he’s never been known to really care about most others’ perception of him, Nick admitted that what was said in the podcast bothered him, primarily because of the negative things he felt that H3CZ was hinting at about his character. “I mean I get that the motherf*cker has been friends with the guy for a minute, I got all that man,” he explained. “But you go find one motherf*cker that’s worked with me, you go find one teammate of mine, you go find somebody that I’ve been linked up with that I don’t take care of. F*ck out of here! So you go find somebody that worked with me where it didn’t go right. That’s what bothered me about that.” As for publicly disclosing his reasons for leaving 100T, and H3CZ’s comments about Nade being honorable for not doing the same, Nick defended himself by saying it was the only way, and that he’s never been one to look for drama. “People want to question me putting it out there, they wanted me to keep it all privately,” he said. “Bro I tried that route! They want to act like I’m just f*cking stupid. Of course keep it private, I don’t want to do this! When it my history have I been a dramatic person, that goes and starts shit with everybody? That’s not me! I don’t do that. This isn’t high school for me. I mean, I’m just not liking what I’m reading man.” Why did NICKMERCS leave 100 Thieves? NICKMERCS first joined 100 Thieves back in 2016, when the organization was nothing close to the powerhouse that it is today. However, on May 24, he announced that he was parting ways with the org, saying that he “wants nothing to do with” Nadeshot after claiming that the CEO did not fulfill the promises he had made when Nick first joined up. While it’s not clear if and when he’ll decide to join a new org, things are looking up for the superstar streamer, as he recently completed his goal of moving back to his home state of Michigan and purchasing a house, where he will look to build on what has already been a very successful career.

  • NICKMERCS hits massive milestones on YouTube and Twitch – Dexerto

NICKMERCS hits massive milestones on YouTube and Twitch 100 Thieves streamer Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff has reached two major milestones on his YouTube and Twitch channels. NICKMERCS took to Twitter to celebrate the fact that his YouTube channel crossed the 1 million subscriber mark on Sunday, September 16, and to thank his fans and his team for support. In the tweet, NICKMERCS spoke about the hard work he put into his channel, saying “It’s been a grind” and that he spent a “lot of hours” on “the creative side of things”. But the massive milestone on YouTube isn’t the only accomplishment NICKMERCS has achieved recently. His Twitch channel has now officially crossed 1.5 million followers, making him one of the biggest stars on the streaming platform. NICKMERCS has seen massive success on both his YouTube and Twitch channels since switching to the incredibly popular Fortnite Battle Royale. His in-game ability and outgoing personality has garnered him plenty of fans, and the fact that he uses a controller to play against other top Fortnite players has made him stand out. Kolcheff competes in various Fortnite esports competitions using his controller, and consistently places highly. He finished in 17th position at the recent Summer Skirmish finals at PAX West, earning $11,250 in the process. Kolcheff is likely to compete in Fortnite’s Fall Skirmish beginning on Friday, October 21, and is sure to garner even more fans as the competition goes on.

  • NICKMERCS hilariously impersonates FaZe Clan teammate Mongraal – Dexerto

NICKMERCS hilariously impersonates FaZe Clan teammate Mongraal NICKMERCS / FaZe ClanFaZe Clan member Nick ‘NICKMERCS‘ Kolcheff channeled his inner British accent while impersonating fellow FaZe member and Fortnite pro Kyle ‘Mongraal‘ Jackson. It can always be shocking to see how bad a British accent is from an American, but to his credit, NICKMERCS did a decent job of it, or at least as decent as it could be from him. Mongraal is from England, but since the two players are on FaZe Clan and are both prominent Fortnite streamers, they’ve come to know each other quite well and don’t shy away from poking fun at each other. During his stream, NICKMERCS was asked to impersonate some of Mongraal’s typical callouts in Fortnite, to hilarious effect. “One shot, he’s one shot on me,” he yelled in a British accent. “I’m in his box, I got his cone. I got his cone. Where ya at? I got his cone.” The accent kind of breaks down about halfway through, but if you’re a viewer of Mongraal, you know how close it actually is, especially his panicked ‘one shot’ callouts. Mongraal knows Nick meant no harm by this and at this point, we’d like to see him try his hand at a NICKMERCS impersonation. Nick is known for his occasional wild rages too, and Mongraal could certainly capture that with his own style. Although NICKMERCS is best known as a streamer, moreso than a competitive Fortnite player, his skills, especially for a controller player, are very impressive. Mongraal joined FaZe Clan on July 7, just a few weeks before the Fortnite World Cup. In fact, both Nick and Mongraal are relative newcomers to FaZe. NICKMERCS departed 100 Thieves in May, but then on May 30, he announced he was moving to FaZe Clan. This announcement came on the nine year anniversary of the esports organization, as they continue to grow, representing many of the biggest names in streaming and competitive play.

  • NICKMERCS hits back at critics over YouTube views after Apex Legends switch – Dexerto

NICKMERCS hits back at critics over YouTube views after Apex Legends switch YouTube: NICKMERCSNick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff has recently made the switch from Warzone to Apex Legends, and his YouTube views have taken a bit of a hit as a result — but he didn’t hold back when confronting someone hating on his views. Nick’s switch to Apex was likely a tough one, after months of being the top Warzone streamer, but he’s clearly enjoying the Apex Legends ranked grind more than hopping into Warzone public matches. Now, he’s the most viewed Apex Legends streamer — by some way too — and while he’s seeing a lot of success, it doesn’t translate as well to YouTube. As you can see in the graphs below from SocialBlade, there have been lulls in his subscribers and views of late. In the grand scheme of things, however, this doesn’t change a lot for Nick. He’s still one of the biggest names on Twitch and is doing ads with the NFL, but more importantly, he’s clearly enjoying the game. So when one viewer came into Nick’s stream and tried to make fun of him for his YouTube views being down, the Twitch star didn’t hold back. “Okay, yes my views are a little bit down on YouTube,” he admitted, before giving a little trash talk back. “I didn’t want to bring this energy to you right now but I’ve got to because you brought it to me… Those views that we’re getting right now on YouTube are making more money than your family sees in a year, in a month.” Reiterating that “me and the team do work,” Nick says that he doesn’t know “what you’re flexing on me for” to the viewer, who would have considered themselves told at that point. He went on to say that “yeah, they are down, but I’m having fun. And I’m going to upload and stream whatever the f**k I want to stream.” Needless to say, Nick is definitely happy with where he’s at, and is doing something most content creators could only dream of.

NICKMERCS’ MFAM community continues to set an incredibly high bar for what a Twitch streamer’s following can be. While its size has never been in doubt – Kolcheff boasts upwards of 6.1 million followers on Twitch – its togetherness has seldom been more obvious. The MFAM BBQ took place on September 18, attracting over 10,000 guests at an eye-watering cost for Nick. It was considered a resounding success and, amid rumors that Nick has signed a monumental deal over his streaming future, he has handsomely rewarded his team. In a short video to Twitter on September 24, Nick is shown gifting each of his team a gold MFAM chain as a thank you for their hard work in supporting him and organizing the BBQ. “It’s been a great couple of years,” Nick said, “biggest deal of my life. It’s all thanks to you guys. The gifts are from us, but she did all the work. I didn’t do sh*t. It’s a great gift, I think you guys are gonna love it.” Attached was a close up of the gold chains, with a gold MFAM logo attached. The caption read: “THE TEAM! THE TEAM! THE TEAM! Doesn’t work without these legends at my f*ckin’ back. To the future baby!” It’s a heartwarming moment, and reiterates just how tight-knit Nick and his staff are. When taking into account his gratitude, it’s no surprise the success and popularity they have been met with. While the exact layout of the future is unknown, we can expect Nick and his team to continue pushing the limits of what a streamer’s community can be, and can do.

  • NICKMERCS followers skyrocket after Pride tweet & Call of Duty controversy – Dexerto

NICKMERCS followers skyrocket after Pride tweet & Call of Duty controversy Twitch: nickmercsDespite backlash and threats of being “canceled,” Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff’s following is growing drastically after the Pride controversy that saw his Call of Duty Operator skin removed from the game entirely. On May 31, Activision finally launched the NICKMERCS and TimTheTatman Operator skins after weeks of speculation and teasing, bringing the true-to-life looks of both streamers to players looking to impress in Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2. Barely two weeks later, however, both Operators had been removed from the game entirely. Nick posted a tweet on June 7 that many critics deemed to be homophobic or anti-LGBTQ+, after which Call of Duty decided to cut ties and remove the Operator bundle from the store. Within days, TimTheTatman made a public statement, asking COD to also remove his Operator bundle in support of his friend. What happened after, though, the higher-ups at Call of Duty may not have predicted, as the drama spread far beyond just COD and was picked up by those even outside of the gaming space entirely, becoming as much a global societal and political conversation as it was a Call of Duty one. Attempts to ‘cancel’ NICKMERCS flounder With that, many fans accused critics or those opposed to his tweet of attempting to ‘cancel’ Nick, but actually, it looks like the opposite could be happening. At the time of writing on June 12, Nick’s follower count on Twitter has grown by around 50,000 since June 8, despite the fact that Nick was actually losing hundreds of followers a day prior to the tweet, according to social media stat tracking site SocialBlade. What Nick would prefer though, is that that growth is reflected in his Twitch metrics too. Socialblade has his Twitch following growing at a slightly faster rate than before, though whether that ends up reflected in his subscriber count remains to be seen. Neither Tim nor Nick have streamed since June 9, the same day Nick’s skin was removed. Fans will no doubt be keeping an eye out to see when they do go live again and, more significantly, how they address the situation. Nick has already refused to apologize for what he said, though clarified that he never meant to hurt anybody.

  • NICKMERCS freaks out after Joe Rogan pulls up pictures of him & Tyler1 on JRE – Dexerto

NICKMERCS freaks out after Joe Rogan pulls up pictures of him & Tyler1 on JRE YouTube: NICKMERCS / YouTube: PowerfulJRENICKMERCS was left utterly amused after Joe Rogan pulled up pictures of him and Tyler1 on his podcast to discuss the iconic “gamer dent”. Roughly six years ago, fans of LoL-streamer turned chess phenom Tyler1 noticed his headset was leaving a dent from consistent use while gaming. As it turned out, Tyler1 wasn’t the only creator to experience the now-gamer dent. Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff was another big name in the industry who revealed the shape of his head had been temporarily altered by his headset. Now, years after the discovery, Joe Rogan discussed the phenomenon during an episode of his podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience (JRE). (Topic begins at 3:03:03) While discussing beauty standards throughout history and various cultures with marketing professor Gad Saad, Rogan brought up the practice of artificial cranial deformation — aka, elongating one’s skull. “There’s this practice of shaping your skull,” he explained, before claiming it was “so real” that gamers were discovering an indent on the top of their heads. As he continued to describe the gamer dent to Saad, Rogan pulled up some examples, including both NICKMERCS and Tyler1’s photos. He went on to share his relief over learning that the gamer dent did not cause any permanent disfiguration to the skull. After being informed by fans, NICKMERCS responded to his brief appearance on the podcast, reacting while streaming on Kick. “Bro no way,” the FaZe Clan member wrote on X (formerly Twitter) as he shared a clip from the stream. After seeing his photo, NICKMERCS burst into laughter. “Bro that’s hilarious, chat,” he said, with viewers calling for the streamer to be called on for a future episode of Rogan’s podcast. “Joe Rogan should have you on the podcast to discuss it further,” one person wrote. Another shared a similar sentiment, admitting they “would like nothing more” than to see NICKMERCS on JRE; “What a banger it would be.”

NICKMERCS explains why he’s leaving LA and possibly 100 Thieves too NickMercs/100 ThievesPopular Fortnite streamer Nick ‘Fortnite star, who recently competed at the ESL Katowice Royale, has represented Matthew ‘Nadeshot’ Haag’s brand since 2016 – building his popularity along the way in the hugely popular battle royale game. However, he is planning on leaving Los Angeles and heading back home to Michigan to be closer to his friends and family – but could he be departing 100 Thieves too? Speaking on his March 8 stream, the 100 Thieves star said: “A lot of things have happened since I came to LA. But like I said, since I’ve came to LA I’ve learned a lot of things as well, you know. One of the big things that I learned is I don’t like living out here. I don’t like it. People like it, it might be for them – it ain’t for me. “I want a porch, I want a yard, I want snow. I want it. I want fall, I want spring, I want my family. I don’t want this stuff. The 100 Thieves thing is like, you know. It’s supposed to be a lot different than the way it is today – a lot different. It’s a lot of things. But, it’s all good things for me.” He added further: “I’m moving on man. I’m going back home, back to my roots and I want to be back with my family and friends. There’s a lot of stuff to do back there and when I raise my family-family I want that to be home.” While the streamer did not explicitly state he was departing the organization, stating that things are meant to be different than they currently, could be a sign of frustration. However, it remains to be seen if the streamer will branch off from the popular squad.

  • NICKMERCS finally reveals incredible home in official house tour video – Dexerto

NICKMERCS finally reveals incredible home in official house tour video NICKMERCS[jwplayer gd7BhumN] At long last, after over a year since moving in, superstar Twitch streamer Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff has finally revealed his beautiful new house to the world. It was just over a year ago when NICKMERCS stunned his fans and the gaming world by announcing that he’d be leaving the bustling metropolis of Los Angeles for the quiet and peace of the Michigan suburbs. Since then, however, aside from his highly-anticipated gaming/streaming room reveal and several sneak peeks here and there, he kept his house pretty much hidden from the public eye – until now. On August 4, the FaZe Clan star finally gave his fans and everyone else what they’d been waiting so long for: a thorough tour of his new property, with special appearances from his pets, Joey and Kai. “We bought this home a year and a half ago with lots of work to do,” he said. “This is my dream home. It’s where I’m going to grow old, it’s where I’m going to raise my family. Needless to say, the house is magnificent in all its glory, featuring two floors, four bedrooms, a massive backyard with a pool and outdoor patio, and everything else one would want in their dream residence. That’s not even mentioning its two most eye-catching areas: Nick’s newly-built full indoor gym and his streaming cave, which resembles a crossover between a night club and a space station. As impressive as the home looks right now, Nick revealed that it’s still a work in progress, with even more modifications and improvements planned for the future. “We’re really not even halfway there yet,” he said. “There’s a bunch of little projects and whatnot that we still have to get to. I thought it was a great idea to show you the house as is, and then as we make changes and adjustments, update you all as the journey goes on.” “There’s still a lot of things to get done, there’s going to be a lot of things that we really want to share with you guys. Big, big changes coming in the future.”

  • NICKMERCS explains why he wants “nothing to do with Nadeshot” after 100 Thieves exit – Dexerto

NICKMERCS explains why he wants “nothing to do with Nadeshot” after 100 Thieves exit Nadeshot – Instagram / NICKMERCSNick ‘NICKMERCS‘ Kolcheff announced his departure from Matthew ‘Nadeshot‘ Haag’s 100 Thieves Organization on May 24, but it looks like there was a lot more to the story than just moving back home to Michigan. NICKMERCS leaving 100 Thieves looked like a much cleaner split than Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney trying to get out of FaZe, but things definitely weren’t as they seemed. In his first stream back home, NICKMERCS revealed there was a whole lot more than meets the eye and let his viewers in on the whole situation. NICKMERCS and Nadeshot aren’t cool anymore. Nick was brutally honest about the split Nick says the whole reason he was brought out to join 100 Thieves was to grow alongside the organization, something he says didn’t play out the way he wanted it to and it has effectively destroyed his relationship with Nadeshot. “[Nadeshot] made some promises to me, as a friend, how we were going to do it, how he was going to take care of me,” Nick said. “It just didn’t even happen man, you know? I don’t hate the guy, I definitely don’t hate him, but I don’t like him. Him and I are not cool, we’ll never be cool. I don’t want nothing to do with him, I’ll never do business with him, I’ll never sit down at a table with him ever again.” It wasn’t all bad though, as Nick did have some positives to say about 100 Thieves, just not a whole lot. “They doing good work over at 100 Thieves,” he said. “Yeah, but for me, when you give me your word and you promise certain things to me as a friend and a business partner and I put years of time into a thing we basically started and then everything changes, and I don’t get what I was promised, I’m gonna have problems with it.” He once again reiterates that he and Nadeshot aren’t friends and he doesn’t want anything to do with him. Nick thinks that some of the fallout with 100 Thieves might have come with Nadeshot’s inexperience with running a company. “He hasn’t had a lot of experience being CEO and me going through that with him I saw a lot of the stresses that he went through being the CEO,” he said. “It’s tough, it ain’t f*cking easy, man, it’s a lot of new sh*t.” While Nick acknowledges the stresses and difficulties with running the business, he feels that Nadeshot still let him down. “I know that sometimes you have to make the tough call, you gotta do it, it’s part of the game, that’s it, you got to make it right and I think he failed to do it with me.” For more details about Nick’s split with 100T, you can watch his YouTube video below, in which he went into further detail about the reasons why he decided to part ways with one of the hottest esports organizations that’s out there right now. What’s next for 100 Thieves? Following NICKMERCS’ departure, the door is now open for another popular creator to join the team. Jack ‘CouRageJD‘ Dunlop appears to be the next addition to the 100 Thieves team, at least that’s if you put any stock into Ninja’s word. During a stream on May 24, Ninja let slip that CouRage will be joining Nadeshot’s organization. This is something that Ninja tried to walk back but fans haven’t bought it.

  • NICKMERCS explains why he’s stopped signature YouTube intros for now – Dexerto

NICKMERCS explains why he’s stopped signature YouTube intros for now NICKMERCSPopular streamer Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff has explained why he has stopped doing his YouTube intros and what his plans are for future videos. NICKMERCS’ loud and proud YouTube intros have been a signature aspect of the content creator’s videos for a while now. During these segments, the popular streamer would address certain problems in the game, poke fun at his peers, and provide insights into his favorite weapon loadouts. However, NICKMERCS has recently stopped doing his high-energy intros altogether, which has left his fans pondering whether they’ll return. To answer these questions, Nick recently addressed the various issues he had with his intro recordings and why he has stopped doing them. NICKMERCS on why he stopped doing YouTube intros When asked why he stopped recording his YouTube intros, Nick stated that he just didn’t want to do them anymore. “It was fun for a while, but I think I just ended up getting bored of it…I just don’t want to f***ing do them.” The streamer noted that he’d often spend half an hour after his stream to record intros and various clips. This obviously began to eat into Nick’s busy schedule and the workload quickly began to pile up. “When you do eight hours on a stream a day and you’re doing like 160 hours a week, and then after the stream, you do a phone call with your agent going over sh*t. You have stuff going on on the weekdays, going over stuff with the boys, the work starts turning into all you’re f***ing doing.” Timestamp of 0:12 It’s certainly not uncommon for streamers to get burnt out, especially when they’re recording new footage and providing live entertainment every day. In fact, a number of popular streamers have been faced with this overwork issue. Despite this, Nick remains positive and believes that his friendly intros will make a return in the future. “I’m sure we’ll hop back on there soon enough…I understand that it makes the videos a lot better, but we’re just taking a little break, that’s all.”

  • NICKMERCS explains how playing claw could be bad for your health – Dexerto

NICKMERCS explains how playing claw could be bad for your health Epic GamesIn a video on December 9, Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff has explained how playing ‘claw’ could be bad for your health – and even cut your playing career short. Many players at all levels have adopted the claw technique when using a controller – notable names such as Seth ‘Scump’ Abner and Issa ‘Issa’ Rahim from Call of Duty and Fortnite respectively have been playing claw their entire lives. Claw players use their index finger to touch the face buttons on a controller as opposed to leaving it on the bumpers or triggers atop the device, and for years many have debated its potential for causing harm to a player’s hand. NICKMERCS, who has been a controller player in his entire life, has now spoken out to his viewers to explain why playing claw is potentially harmful and not worth making a change to. “Guys, I’ve said it a million times, but claw is bad for your health,” he says. “It’s not horrible, but I have a lot of friends that have stopped playing claw because they developed these huge pains in their forearms and wrists.” Continuing, Nick says: “I also have friends that have been doing it their whole lives. Scump is an example of someone who’s been clawing their whole life and there’s no pain. But I’ve got friends like Issa and they can’t play anymore. They had to switch to a keyboard and mouse.” Nick does later explain that claw could be better because it’s “more efficient,” due to the ability to cover all buttons at once, and says that with paddles (such as on a SCUF controller), you need a four-paddle controller to be able to access all buttons as easily. Most of all, though, the debate may never have a concrete conclusion as there are so many claw players who do not suffer from any subsequent health defects. It seems to be entirely based on the player themselves and how their hands adapt to playing in different styles.

  • NICKMERCS explains why he stopped vlogging – Dexerto

NICKMERCS explains why he stopped vlogging NICKMERCS, Twitch[jwplayer nRNmFBgY]Streaming star and gaming personality Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff is best known for his broadcasts on Twitch — but he hadn’t always planned on focusing on live streams. NICKMERCS boasts a massive presence on Twitch, accumulating over 3.7 million followers on the site due to his humorous interactions with fellow streamers and his impressive gameplay, usually with a controller. However, the star also boasts a fairly successful YouTube channel, which, at one point, he’d hoped to bolster with non-gaming centric content like vlogs (regular recordings of his daily life). After moving to Los Angeles some time ago, NICKMERCS made an attempt at diversifying his content with these vlogs, but ultimately decided against it, as explained during a June 19 episode of the ‘Pardon My Take’ podcast. During the episode, he was asked a slew of questions regarding his time on Twitch, which eventually led to the topic of some fans accusing him of “pre-recording” his broadcasts. That’s never been the case, of course, because he’s not a fan of making pre-recorded content in general, revealing that he dislikes the feeling of talking to a camera rather than his own audience in real-time. “I used to do vlogging on YouTube,” Nick said of the topic. “I did a few of ‘em, and I never liked it. It was always weird to me that I was like, talking to the camera, like, ‘Aye, what’s up guys? How you doin’?’ [laughs].” “I just — there wasn’t anybody, I’m talking to myself, man!” he added. “You know what I mean? At least I’m talking to you guys right now, which makes it a little bit more comfortable. But imagine just talking to yourself, vlogging. Isn’t that kind of weird?” (Topic begins at 8:47) While every social media platform comes with its pros and cons, it seems that NICKMERCS is a Twitch streamer through and through. And while he uploads popular clips and moments from his broadcasts to YouTube on a regular basis (including the construction of his home gaming studio), it doesn’t look like fans should look forward to vlogs from this entertainer anytime soon.

  • NICKMERCS & Dr Disrespect finally met IRL and it went exactly as you’d expect – Dexerto

NICKMERCS & Dr Disrespect finally met IRL and it went exactly as you’d expect Popular Twitch star Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff shared with his stream the hilarious moment when he finally met fellow creator Dr Disrespect at the Super Bowl. The internet’s favorite creators frequently crossover and collab with videos and guest features on their broadcasts all the time, and it makes for some incredible content for the viewers. However, fans don’t get to see the ins and outs of every meeting – especially when it takes place at something like the Super Bowl. Though, that’s what happened with NICKMERCS and Dr Disrespect, as the pair finally got to meet in person, and it sounded like a pretty spot on exchange for them. During a video uploaded on February 26, Nick explained how he ended up seeing the Two-Time during the end-of-season championship game. “There are people everywhere and I’m on the far right of the open suite, and he’s on the far left,” Nick explained. “We f**king, me and Doc – I’m looking left, I’m looking right and I look back left and I see a tall guy with a mustache! I did a double look, and right when I did a double, he did a double. I said no way, and he goes ‘get the f**k out of here!’ “We walk up and I give him some love. I’m a genetic guy, I love to observe. He’s very tall, very very tall. But, he’s skinny you know? So I met him, I shook his hand, I gave him a little hug,” Nick added, before revealing that he sized him up. Timestamp of 9:41 NICKMERCS continued and explained if it came down to it, he could take down the Doc. “I sized him up, and between you and me chat, I got him” Nick joked. “I 100% got him. That man is 6’8, 200lbs. I way weigh more than him! I weigh more than the guy and he’s 6’8,” he exclaimed. The FaZe Clan star stated that he’s got “a lotta love for Doc” and it was “great” to finally meet him. So, despite their friendly banter, don’t exchange them to square off in the ring.

  • NICKMERCS explains his unexpected drop in Twitch streaming – Dexerto

NICKMERCS explains his unexpected drop in Twitch streaming YouTube: NICKMERCSNick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff has explained the slowdown in his streaming schedule, as he’s been on Twitch way less in recent weeks. Nick has been streaming on Twitch for many years now, coming up from being a small Call of Duty streamer to one of the biggest names in the entire industry, with tens of thousands of paying subscribers and even more viewers with every livestream. He landed himself in hot water in June for what many deemed to be an “anti-LGBT” tweet regarding Pride month, resulting in Activision pulling his Operator bundle from Call of Duty. After taking some time, Nick returned to Twitch and managed to keep a consistent schedule, but throughout September things became a little more sporadic. NICKMERCS explains inconsistent stream schedule Speaking about it in a YouTube video posted on September 20, Nick admitted that he hadn’t been streaming as much due to his family commitments as a new father. “My bad for not streaming as much,” he said to kick off the video. “I said that it would be a tough month because we had a lot of family coming over. It’s the first baby on both sides. So when I tell you we were getting tackled by grandparents, and parents, and aunts, and uncles, and cousins … It’s a celebration, bro. It’s been nuts.” At the time of writing, Nick had only streamed 8 times in the month of September in 20 days, after rarely missing a day for months, so he likely had a number of regular viewers curious about what had happened. Fortunately, it’s not bad news at all, but it sounds as though he might be ready to get back on the wagon and go live more regularly again.

He compared himself to other people that are successful but “don’t love what they do” and stated that this is where he feels the most lucky. Feelin’ lucky lately :thought_balloon: Surely there’s lots of successful people out there that don’t love what they do, yano. But for me, not only am I successful, but yo I get paid to do what I love. And I think that’s where the luck sets in. — 100T Nickmercs (@NICKMERCS) May 16, 2018 However, he makes it clear that his current lifestyle isn’t purely down to luck as he believes he would have found success “no matter where I ended up, doin’ whatever I did”. He puts this down to a “drive & will to be better” which he states is “difficult to replicate” but he once again reiterates that turning his passion into a paycheck gives him a feeling of contentment that he wouldn’t have found in another field. Nick has built the life for himself that he dreamed of and has become a role model for his ever growing fan base – you can’t say fairer than that. Should probably mention that I’m very confident, that no matter where I ended up, doin’ whatever I did, I would have found success. My drive & will to be better is difficult to replicate. NICKMERCS demands fans stop donating to hot tub streamers with his name Pixabay/NICKMERCSLegendary Twitch star Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff made it clear that he is sick of his fans donating to hot tub streamers while using his name and wants them to stop. Twitch’s hot tub meta finally reached a boiling point last week when Kaitlyn ‘Amouranth’ Siragusa revealed the platform had completely suspended advertising on her channel, costing her nearly half a million dollars a year. A few days later, Twitch announced a brand new Pools, Hot Tubs and Beaches category separate from Just Chatting that is designed to better suit advertisers who don’t want their ads shown on more sexualized streams. Despite all the controversy over hot tub broadcasts, it seems they’re here to stay and are accepted on Twitch. Now, with the meta legitimized, fans of NICKMERCS are trolling the Warzone mega star by using his name when donating to hot tub streamers. Fans are donating to Hot Tub streams on Twitch using @NICKMERCS’s name 😆 https://t.co/U3s01ZUu7L — Dexerto (@Dexerto) May 24, 2021 On May 24, NICKMERCS debated even showing his viewers what was going on, admitting that it would probably make them “do it even more,” but decided to bite the bullet anyway. “This sh*t crazy,” he said while pulling up either Amouranth’s hot tub stream or a scammer pretending to be her. In the bottom left-hand corner, NICKMERCS was supposedly the biggest donator of the broadcast. “What am I seeing? What we doing?” Clearly at a loss for words, Kolcheff tried to express that he wasn’t fond of viewers using his name for their donations. “What are we doing?” he repeated, staring directly at the camera with a confused expression on his face. Clearly, some fans were under the impression that he was the one actually donating, so he felt the need to set the record straight. “I didn’t do that! One of you motherf**kers is going in there and it ain’t just her, there are a bunch of hers. You guys are going around donating with NICKMERCS in the name,” he explained. “Stop f**king doing that sh*t. Use your own f**king name, man!” It’s unclear if the fans will really stop now that Nick has requested it, but if you ever see NICKMERCS as a top donator for a hot tub stream, it’s safe to assume that he wasn’t the one giving away money.

NICKMERCS Discovers One Major Weakness of Thanos in Fortnite Battle Royale’s New Infinity Gauntlet Mode 100 Thieves’ Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff is one of the best Fortnite Battle Royale console players around, but he hasn’t quite mastered the art of being Thanos yet. Released in July 2017, Fortnite has experienced a meteoric rise in popularity thanks to its fast paced and addictive Battle Royale mode which mixes innovative building mechanics with classic gun play. Available to play for free on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, the “Early Access” version of the game has quickly become one of the most popular in history. Twitch streamer NICKMERCS’ platform of choice is the PlayStation 4 and he’s one of the very best players out there, racking up numerous victories in everything from solo to squads. However, while playing the all-new “Infinity Gauntlet” Limited Time Mode, which allows players to turn into Marvel’s Thanos as part of a Fortnite and Infinity War crossover, he discovered that being one of the most powerful being in the entire universe has its downsides. Trying to fly out of the Fortnite storm, for instance. During a recent stream NICKMERCS saw an Infinity Gauntlet lying just inside the storm and naturally couldn’t resist going to pick it up. The result was less than spectacular… Leonard Lauder once said, an American billionaire businessman, art collector and humanitarian, once said “if I don’t learn something every single day, it’s a wasted day.” Today we learned that the all-powerful Titan known as Thanos might be one of the most powerful beings in existence with the help of his Gauntlet, but Fortnite is still stronger. Someone should probably call the Avengers and let them know.

  • NICKMERCS deletes all Twitch VODs as DMCA strikes roll out – Dexerto

NICKMERCS deletes all Twitch VODs as DMCA strikes roll out Twitter, @NICKMERCS / TwitchIn the wake of ongoing Twitch DMCA drama, FaZe Clan’s superstar streamer Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff has deleted all of his VODs and clips, while questioning the recent copyright strikes. On May 28, Twitch revealed that they had received “about 1,000 individual claims” for DMCA strikes against content creators on the platform — surrounding VODs and clips in which copyrighted music was played. While Twitch explains they are trying to work with music labels to find a solution, one of the platform’s biggest streamers, NICKMERCS, has preemptively responded. Having deleted all of his VODs and clips, the FaZe streamer and co-owner took some time to address the situation. For MFAM members and fans, Nick’s wholesale deletion is a disappointing erasure of beloved content. In response to that disappointment, the streamer explained why Twitch isn’t to blame and, more importantly, why the entire DMCA debacle is a mess. .@NICKMERCS has deleted all clips and vods due to DMCA “when a guy like me plays a song to 50-60k people, you’d be surprised of the effect that has on something.. typically when people want their songs played like that, they have to pay. That’s for free. We’re just doing it” https://t.co/sVHRgRBP8M pic.twitter.com/2bPVS8hQBx — Wicked Good Gaming (@WickedGoodGames) May 28, 2021 At its core, the DMCA situation is about record labels wanting to be paid for usage of their artists’ music. Recognizing how profitable Twitch and the platform’s streamers have become in recent years, DMCA strikes have risen. The typical backlash against these strikes is that streamers are providing free exposure, a point which NICKMERCS elaborated on during his May 28 stream: “At the end of the day, what’s going to get these artists paid is people listening to their music. And when a guy like me plays a song to 50-60,000 people … typically, when people want their songs played like that, they have to pay.” Noting that the issue of licensing is something Twitch has to deal with themselves, Nick seems aware that the situation is a murky one. Ultimately, he even appears intrigued by other, less-traditional solutions. Nick about to start a MFAM record label? 🤔 https://t.co/485kSpm9w3 pic.twitter.com/iEDaxywnEN — Wicked Good Gaming (@WickedGoodGames) May 28, 2021 Unwilling to blame Twitch or the music industry for the situation, NICKMERCS is open to all alternatives: “Maybe we should have our own label … an MFAM label.” At the moment, it’s unclear how far along Twitch’s conversations have gotten with record labels so it appears that the NICKMERCS VODs and clips will remain deleted. In the meantime, musically inclined MFAM have a good reason to hope that a solution is delayed.

  • NICKMERCS condemns Dr Disrespect’s “inexcusable” actions & leaves fans divided – Dexerto

NICKMERCS condemns Dr Disrespect’s “inexcusable” actions & leaves fans divided NICKMERCS, Dr DisrespectNick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff had nothing kind to say when reacting to news of Dr Disrespect’s YouTube streaming return. After reports about his Twitch ban began circulating in June, Dr Disrespect admitted to inappropriately messaging a minor. Several popular streamers and content creators quickly condemned the behavior, including the likes of NICKMERCS and TimTheTatman. The Doc took an extended hiatus from content creation afterward but has since returned to YouTube in a stream that broke his personal viewership record. Notably, NICKMERCS responded to the streamer’s resurgence in a brief Twitter/X post, calling Dr Disrespect a “ret**d” for inappropriately texting a minor, despite being “married with children [and] pushin’ 40.” A controversial streamer in his own right, Nick then went on to note that he cut ties with his former collaborator “because obviously [that behavior is] inexcusable.” In the social media post, Nick further addressed people calling him a “fake friend” for no longer supporting Doc. “Now I’m a sh** friend for not having his back??? Buncha brain-rot morons on this app,” he wrote. Some of Nick’s fans weren’t happy with his statement, arguing he shouldn’t have turned his back on the banned streamer. As many are well aware, NICKMERCS and Dr Disrespect have an extensive history together. They’ve collaborated several times in the past, though their public-facing relationship hasn’t always remained amiable. But, while it seems some internet feuds stemmed from over-the-top bantering, it looks like there’s no repairing this particular rift. NICKMERCS is not the only high-profile streamer to hit back at Dr Disrespect fans in the wake of his return. Another of the Doc’s former collaborators, DrLupo, spoke out as well, specifically calling out viewers who came at him for “turning on people.” Lupo responded by saying he could not continue to befriend and support someone who behaved inappropriately with a teenager. “You do not defend that, there’s no defending it,” DrLupo said in part on a stream of his own.

  • NICKMERCS confirms he’ll be doing gambling streams on Kick – Dexerto

NICKMERCS confirms he’ll be doing gambling streams on Kick NICKMERCSNICKMERCS announced that he will be going outside the United States to host Gambling streams on Kick. Following the likes of xqc and other high-profile streamers, NICKMERCS made the jump from Kick to Twitch by signing a non-exclusive deal. The leader of the MFAM army claimed: “We will compete on big stages, host big events, and share new content in new ways.” NICKMERCS has made it clear in the past that he is a fan of sports gambling while hosting Thursday Night Football games on Twitch and, most recently, a UFC watch party in Las Vegas. Coincidentally, crypto gambling site Stake co-founded Kick and allows content creators to gamble on-stream. So, with that in mind, Nick gave fans a hint at what sort of “new content” they can expect. NICKMERCS announces gambling streams on Kick During his first Kick live stream, NICKMERCS announced: “Yes, we are going to do gambling streams. We are not going to do a s**t ton, but we are going to do some for sure. It’s part of the contract.” The leader of the MFAM army elaborated: “We got another place because you can’t do it in America, so we went somewhere else and got a different place.” Nick did not reveal where the new place is but did mention an island. It’s also unclear what exactly the streamer has in the works, but he admitted upfront that Kick will give him money to gamble with and he plans to use the opportunity to do big viewer giveaways. In 2022, Twitch banned gambling sites after facing a wave of streamer backlash, so it will be interesting to see how community members react to NICKMERCS’ controversial announcement. • NICKMERCS claims he would beat “skinny” Dr Disrespect in a fight – Dexerto

NICKMERCS claims he would beat “skinny” Dr Disrespect in a fight NICKMERCS, Dr Disrespect, Capcom, WikiMediaCommons: Akira KouchiyamaThe friendly rivalry between NICKMERCS and Dr Disrespect has continued with the former claiming that despite Doc’s height advantages, he could take the ‘skinny’ streamer in a bout. There’s always been a trading of bravado when it comes to NICKMERCS and Dr Disrespect, with each gaming personality having their own unique qualities. Nick is shorter but more arguably more muscular and stocky, whereas Dr Disrespect is a towering 6’8 giant with some impressive guns of his own. However, Nick shed some light on a meeting he had with the Doc, and after some brief analysis why, he confidently proclaimed that he would have the Doc’s number if the two were to square off. Would Dr Disrespect fall to NICKMERCS? During his February 16, live stream, NICKMERCS went on record as saying he was a ‘genetic guy’ and was fascinated by individuals that deviate from the norm. Read More: Biggest Twitch Records – Given that Dr Disrespect is 6’8 and allegedly has a 37-inch vertical leap, it would seem that he falls nicely into that category. But Nick said: “He’s very tall, very tall, but he’s skinny.” Nick went on to describe a meeting he had with the Doc: “I met him, I shook his hand, I gave him a little hug, I put my hand on his chest, very, very flat and skinny, y’know? I squeeze his trap.” After completing his full analysis of Doc after ‘sizing him up’, Nick, with a wide and cocky grin, made a statement to his chat: “I got him. I 100% got him.” Who wins the boxing match @NICKMERCS or @DrDisrespect?🥊pic.twitter.com/669qD4sIdU — Dexerto (@Dexerto) February 17, 2022 Nick alluded to the fact he weighs more than Doc, despite being much shorter, and feels his build would be enough to take down Dr Disrespect. As many people have pointed out, in a fight situation, Doc’s 6’8 frame would give him an unbelievable reach advantage, an imperative factor in a fight. As yet, there has been no official response from the Doc on NICKMERC’s comments, but we’re pretty sure the 2x back-to-back, 1993 and 1994 Blockbuster video games champion won’t let this slide. Perhaps we need a Twitch boxing event to settle it once and for all.

  • NICKMERCS claims Apex Legends has “difference in opinion” with him on LGBT issues – Dexerto

NICKMERCS claims Apex Legends has “difference in opinion” with him on LGBT issues YouTube: NICKMERCSStreamer NICKMERCS implied that he would not be getting an invitation to the Apex Legends Pro League due to a “difference in opinion” over LGBT issues on stream. The top FPS streamer, who recently signed a massive non-exclusive deal with streaming service Kick, said that Apex was “very pro-gay, pro-trans”, and that he would be surprised if he was ever invited to the Pro League by them. NICKMERCS maintained that he was “not anti”, but that he had issues with how LGBT education was taught in schools. The streamer was heavily criticized for similar comments he made last year about the LGBT community during Pride Month, when he said: “They should leave little children alone. That’s the real issue.” These comments led to the NICKMERCS Call of Duty skin bundle being removed from the game, along with TimTheTatMan’s bundle, as Tim had asked for his to be taken down as well. NICKMERCS sparks controversy after discussing Apex Legends pro scene’s LGBT stance Speaking about the Apex Pro League on stream, NICKMERCS said that it was unlikely he would be invited to it, and implied it was due to his stances on LGBT education. He said: “Put two and two together. Apex is very pro gay, pro trans… Look, I’m not anti, but I’m not at the front of the parade doing the high knees either, you know what I mean? “Live and let live, but we clearly have a difference in opinion across the board, so if you’re expecting them to give me an invite to their pro league… I mean, I’d be so surprised if that ever happened.” When one chatter suggested that these statements made NICKMERCS sound like he was against the LGBT community, the streamer replied: “I’m not anti. I made that extremely clear. “And I told you where I draw my line. I think parents should be teaching their kids stuff like that. When it’s up to schools and teachers that you might not know? Nah. Nah, I’m good.” Apex Legends is frequently praised as one of the most LGBT-supportive live-service games, with significant efforts from developers being made to improve representation through playable characters. For more information on NICKMERCS’ previous clash with Activision, check out their justification for why they removed his Call of Duty skin bundle last year.

  • NICKMERCS’ spectacular Twitch fail costs him big bet against SypherPK – Dexerto

NICKMERCS’ spectacular Twitch fail costs him big bet against SypherPK Ubisoft / Twitch; NICKMERCSNicholas ‘NICKMERCS ‘ Kolcheff blew an intense race against Ali ‘SypherPK’ Hassan on Riders Republic in the most hilarious way – by crashing into the pole holding up the finish line. Gamers have been talking about Riders Republic ever since it released on October 28. It’s been described as everything from a “bugged” mess to an addictive thrill-ride. So, it’s no surprise that NICKMERCS wanted to check it out, too. To make things spicy for the thousands of people watching, he challenged friend and fellow streamer SypherPK to a race. The rules were simple. The loser needed to gift 50 Twitch subscriptions to the winner. Things started out well enough for NICKMERCS. He was leading the race, although SypherPK did well to stay close behind him. But right when he was about to cross the finish, he choked in the most hilarious way. NICKMERCS drove straight into one of the poles holding up the finish line banner, spectacularly flipping into the air in the process. He stuck the landing somehow, but then he lost control of his bike and drove into the other pole. “NOOOOOO!” he shrieked while placing his hands over his eyes in disbelief. “Oh my god! My d**k got caught on the f**king thing, man! You can’t make that up!” Naturally, he didn’t want it to end there. He issued a double or nothing challenge that increased the amount to 100 gifted subs. Sypher isn’t one to back down. So, he accepted the offer and they jumped into another race. Things played out differently this time around. Instead of NICKMERCS messing up his lead at the end, Sypher was the one who choked. “You did the same sh*t!” he yelled in triumph before calling out those who doubled him. NICKMERCS got the last laugh in the end. Still, the biggest talking point was his epic fail on the finish line. He’s brutally roasted fans in the past, but it seems like the joke was on him this time around – even though he won.

NICKMERCS brutally roasts TimTheTatman in hilarious New Year’s resolution exchange Twitter: TimTheTatmanNick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff and TimTheTatman’s friendly rivalry is a staple in the gaming scene and the leader of the MFAM has stoked the fires with a hilarious new roast of his buddy. Nick and TimTheTatman’s back and forth is like no other in the gaming scene. It’s such an integral part of their personalities that they even brought it to a live audience with a UFC-partnered competition in 2022 but all it managed to do was keep the flames hot for the rest of the year. Kolchefff isn’t letting the new year extinguish things either and his latest joke has fans cracking up once again. NICKMERCS hilariously roasts TimTheTatman (again) The roast came in the form of a reply to Dave Portnoy (of Barstool Sports fame) who had posted about wanting to tackle a fitness challenge where a person attempts one situp per day of the year, building all the way to 365 situps a day by the end of the calendar. The MFAM head honcho chimed in with a seemingly honest question but quickly flipped the script. “What happens if we cannot perform 1 sit-up? (Asking for a friend)” he asked before revealing his true intention and tagging Tim. “Hang in there bud, waiting for clarification.” Naturally, fans got in on the fun and started to pile on to the joke. One fan took a shot at the Tatman for being slow to reply to the tweet, saying Nick should “use a fishing rod with a Bud Lite on the end” to get his attention faster. This kind of exchange is part of what makes both megastreamers so magnetic and there’s no doubt that Timmy will take plenty of shots of his own throughout the course of 2023.

NICKMERCS announces Twitch contract extension amid YouTube rumors Instagram: NICKMERCSWeeks after NICKMERCS teased the “biggest contract of his life,” the FaZe Clan co-owner has officially announced that he has extended his exclusive contract with Twitch – rather than op for a move to YouTube. Shortly after his longtime collaborator, TimTheTatman announced he was moving over to YouTube from Twitch, NICKMERCS teased that he had recently signed a contract that had him and his crew making “huge, huge moves.” This immediately sparked speculation that he too would joining in the footsteps of TimTheTatman, CouRage, and DrLupo, by moving his stream over to YouTube exclusively. NICK has been on a short break following his BBQ event, but with his announcement now out of the way, and a renewed commitment to Twitch, MFAM can expect to see Kolcheff back on their screens very soon. • NICKMERCS addresses FaZe Rain’s claims about him and FaZe owners – Dexerto

NICKMERCS addresses FaZe Rain’s claims about him and FaZe owners Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff responded to fellow FaZe Clan member Nordan ‘Rain’ Shat after he accused the company of hiring NICKMERCS as “damage control.” Prominent FaZe member Rain has engaged in an ongoing battle with the company over its direction. As a part of his crusade, the YouTuber called out several cohorts for their involvement in the organization going downhill. The former CoD trick-shooter most recently threatened to leave FaZe if they don’t remove Sebastian ‘Cbass’ Diamond from the company. Then, NICKMERCS found himself in the crosshairs, as Rain accused FaZe of only hiring NICKMERCS to distract from a legal battle with former FaZe star Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney. The leader of the MFAM Army shrugged off accusations in a short response. NICKMERCS responds to FaZe Rain accusations In his Instagram story, Rain said: “You know FaZe recruited NICKMERCS in 2018 as ‘damage control’ (their words not mine) to the Tfue situation, and those idiots have been paying him $1M a year since.” Rain added: “I couldn’t think of one memorable moment with NICKMERCS & FaZe.” On May 23, NICKMERCS responded during a live stream. “I feel bad for the things that he has been through, and I feel bad that he and some of the guys feel the way they do about the clan.” Nick elaborated that he doesn’t have any time for drama with other content creators and is uninterested in escalating matters further. “I have a baby now, chat, so as far as this drama sh*t goes and people trying to bring me into stuff, I don’t give a f**k, man.” As for who he will side with, Nick doesn’t want to interfere with either opposing force. “I don’t intend to get in between them or FaZe Clan and what they are doing.” It doesn’t appear that Nick or Rain intends to mend any form of relationship they may have had.

  • NICKMERCS and Ninja recall when they almost fought over a Halo match – Dexerto

NICKMERCS and Ninja recall when they almost fought over a Halo match Popular Twitch streamers Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins and Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff have a longer history than some fans may know, recalling the time that they almost physically fought over a Halo gamebattles match. Both Ninja and NICKMERCS were formerly competitive players in Halo and Gears of War respectively, and so their “friendship” dates back over a decade. During a live stream on December 22, NICKMERCS reminisced on just how long he had known Ninja, well before the streaming days, and how their first encounter was not a friendly one. 700NICKMERCS and his team were up against Ninja and his in an online GameBattles match of Halo, which Ninja’s team won handedly – prompting some trash talk in the lobby. “[Ninja]’s really good at talking shit,” NICKMERCS explained, “he’ll full send it on you, he’ll get right under your skin real quick. Now he doesn’t do this anymore, but if you guys watched him in the past, this guy, man he was good. He just gets right under there and pisses me off.” Never one to backdown, Kolcheff recalls that he was so mad, screaming down the microphone saying “bro, you cannot talk to me like that. You’re going to the event that we’re all going to in a month, and I’m telling you, shut your fucking mouth, or that’s it. He would not stop talking.” Later in the same stream, NICKMERCS and Ninja were playing Fortnite together, and Ninja remembered the whole situation, and even attending the event. Doing his best NICKMERCS impression, Ninja recalled how he and his squad almost got into a brawl – all over the GameBattles match. “[NICK] walks up to our entire squad as we’re walking into the venue, and kind of pushes us like ‘You wanna go?’ We were like ‘Bro, chill, it’s GameBattles’”, Ninja said, before impersonating Nick again: “You can’t talk trash online and not back it up baby!” Whatever their past grievances, the pair have since reconciled, and NICKMERCS says they have always been friends and respected each other from afar, congratulatory on Ninja’s success. Ninja has seriously toned down the aggression and language used on his channel, since his rise to becoming the most popular streamer on Twitch in 2018, aware of his younger audience demographic. However, old clips of his trash talking abilities still circle online, with some brutal roasts coming from the now most popular gamer in the world.

  • Nicki Minaj wants to stream with Kai Cenat after Twitch ban: “I like him a lot” – Dexerto

Nicki Minaj wants to stream with Kai Cenat after Twitch ban: “I like him a lot” YouTube/CoiLeray/TwitchWorld-famous rapper Nicki Minaj has expressed support for Twitch star Kai Cenat following his ban from the platform. Kai Cenat was hit with a surprising Twitch ban on April 17 amid intensifying rumors that the legendary streamer would be signing an exclusive deal with rival platform Kick. Although Kai didn’t reveal the reason for the ban, sources close to Dexerto revealed that it was due to “simulated sexual activity” in GTA RP – something that several other streamers have been suspended for in the past. Amid the ban, rapper Nicki Minaj went live and started talking about the Twitch star and defended him, demanding that the Amazon-owned site “let the boy rock.” Nicki Minaj defends Kai Cenat amid Twitch ban According to Nicki, she was so frustrated with Kai’s recent ban that she wanted to take matters into her own hands and help him out by joining him. “I’m gonna get cute. I’m gonna dress up nice and cute and I’m gonna go on live with him,” the rapper said. “And speak to him if that’s cool with him.” The rapper went on to say that she was going to personally reach out to the Twitch sub record holder herself about the possible collaboration that would certainly break the internet. “Let me reach out to him and stuff because I really like him. I really like him a lot,” she continued. Minaj further asked Twitch to “please” leave Kai alone and stop banning him. As of this article’s writing, Cenat has yet to be unbanned on Twitch, but hopefully, he’ll be back and ready to stream soon. There’s still no word on if a crossover between Nicki and Kai will actually happen, but in the meantime, keep it locked to Dexerto for all the latest in news on Twitch and entertainment.

Nickich announces YouTube move after Twitch ban ruined his career Twitter: NickichNickich, the Twitch streamer who pleaded for help and went viral after an indefinite ban put him in dire straits and potentially ruined his career, announced he’s found a new home on YouTube. Nickich was a relatively unknown streamer trying to make it big on Twitch. After noticing his viewership numbers were trending upwards, he postponed his return to studies and went all-in on becoming a full-time streamer. He even moved in with his grandparents to help make it happen. However, after unmoderated hateful comments in his chat caused him to get banned on the platform indefinitely, his life turned upside down. He could no longer sustain himself and was forced to apply for jobs while dealing with the anxiety that resulted from the situation. Feeling overwhelmed and out of options, he begged for help on social media, and almost 200,000 people heeded the call. Since then, he’s blown up and become even more popular than he was before, but had no platform to stream on – until now. He posted another video on April 21 and announced he’s officially moving to YouTube. “Twitch has not done anything thus far,” he said. “A couple of weeks ago, I would have been absolutely devastated by all that. But now I’ve kind of come to terms with it. I’ve been a little bit more accepting of it. I’ve been feeling a little bit better.” Then, he dropped a bombshell and announced the big move. “I miss streaming more than anything, so… I am going to YouTube.” He explained it was a “big deal” for him and urged fans to tune in and support him by following and subscribing on the channel, which can be found here. For what it’s worth, he hasn’t ruled out a return to Twitch. If the opportunity arises, he might be willing to take it. But in the meantime, he’s trying to “take it as it comes” and settle into his new home on YouTube. https://twitter.com/NickichLoL/status/1384623361968463872?s=20 Nickich wrapped things up by thanking everyone for their support and said he’s looking forward to the “interesting transition.” Only time will tell whether it lasts. But going by Twitch’s lack of a response so far, the move could be permanent.

  • Nicki Minaj shuts down rumors of $173m debt and paying to go up in charts – Dexerto

Nicki Minaj shuts down rumors of $173m debt and paying to go up in charts INSTAGRAM: NICKIMINAJNicki Minaj has recently responded to and shut down some serious allegations made about her online. The ‘Freaky Girl’ rapper was surprised to find herself trending on Twitter, due to rumors made about her on a fake Instagram account. The Instagram account, claiming to be Minaj’s former assistant, made multiple harmful accusations against the hitmaker on their Instagram story. “I am Onika ex assistant who she fired who for absolutely no proof of fraud with her bank account,” they shared. “I’m exposing all files I have from working for her. Along with the voice messages she sent me regarding many different people,” they continued. The account then went on to accuse the rapper of sending “$75,000” to put her upcoming single, ‘Freaky Girls,’ on the chart. They also alleged that she owed $173,000,000 to the IRS. Minaj did not hesitate to respond to these rumors, as she hopped on to Instagram Live to address them. Nicki Minaj responds to allegations “Every day I learn that y’all getting dumber and f*cking dumber,” the ‘Queen of Rap’ told viewers. “The other day I was on Twitter and I saw this whole fanbase, b*tch.” She continued: “I am mind blown that people are this f*cking dumb, that people are really believing that I got somebody that work for me and now they spilling tea.” Minaj was seemingly surprised that anyone would believe the Instagram account was real. “That people are really believing that I got somebody that work for me and now they spilling tea. Chile. But, it’s not even that. It’s the tea sound so f*cking dumb, and for a person to believe it, you would have to be dumb. It’s clearly a kid,” she said. Since shutting down the rumors, the Instagram account claiming to be Minaj’s former assistant has been deleted. There have been several mock accounts created since then.

  • Nicki Minaj seemingly threatens to break YouTuber’s jaw following criticism – Dexerto

Nicki Minaj seemingly threatens to break YouTuber’s jaw following criticism Nicki Minaj, iamakademiks – InstagramAs YouTube grows ever more popular, more and more internet stars are finding major fame in the limelight – but sometimes, this fame comes with a price, as one YouTuber found out after tangling with a major name in the rap scene. Rapper Nicki Minaj is no stranger to beef with other top personalities, with Cardi B having allegedly thrown a shoe at her for “making comments” on her ability to raise her child just last year. Now, Minaj is beefing with another name in the music game – this time, a YouTuber and producer by the name of “DJ Akademiks,” who leaked direct messages with the rapper that showed some not-so-subtle threats toward himself and his family. 600https://www.instagram.com/p/BxsZcMZn8mA/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_linkAccording to screenshots of their conversation, Minaj asked Akademiks if he would be in New York during the coming weekend, then messaged him several days later appearing to threaten to break his jaw. “You been mad since I made a joke about you with Joe on my show,” Minaj wrote. “The people you rep won’t be able to stop your jaw from getting broken. I know too much about your family for you to be playing with me, you hoe ass rat. Where you at now?” 500https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xR37BWXWr10 That’s not all: Minaj even appeared to insinuate that Akademiks had tried to make a move on rapper Tekashi 69, which the YouTuber noted may have been an insult for being gay, claiming that Minaj had gotten angry with him because he’d “criticized a woman” as shown by further texts from the star. “Nicki Minaj, you’re not gonna get away with this lame-ass excuse,” he retorted. “You’re a clown. And when I say you’re a clown, it’s because your actions are clown-like. You’re acting so erratic that everyone’s saying, ‘Yo, the excuses you’re making for your behavior don’t really justify your behavior.” Akademiks went on to criticize Minaj’s career in the music industry, claiming that her solo tracks are “flopping” in wake of her alleged retirement from the rap game to start a family. With Minaj having yet to respond to the YouTuber’s thirteen-minute long video on the beef, both fans and critics alike are waiting with bated breath to see how their feud develops in the near future.

  • Nicki Minaj fans outraged after rapper refuses to sing Starships during NYE show – Dexerto

Nicki Minaj fans outraged after rapper refuses to sing Starships during NYE show Instagram: NickiMinajNicki Minaj fans were left disappointed after the rapper refused to sing Starships during her New Year’s Eve performance, the musician even going so far as calling the song “stupid.” Nicki Minaj is one of the most well-known and successful rappers of all time. Throughout her career, Minaj has had many hits from across her multiple albums. However, the musician has come out and finally said that she no longer wants to sing arguably her biggest hit of all time, Starships. During her New Year’s Eve celebration event at E11EVEN in Miami, the rapper began to sing her 2012 hit before stopping the performance halfway through the song. Audience members recorded the moment, revealing how Minaj refused to continue and even called Starships a “stupid song.” “Hold on,” Minaj began saying through a roaring crowd. “I don’t perform that song anymore, y’all.” The TikTok, which has over 218,00 views on the platform, is filled with fans voicing their disappointment at Minaj for not wanting to sing one of her biggest hits. One user questioned “why” in the comments, before adding “It’s what got us all loving you. DON’T FORGET ABOUT US.” Others also added how “Starships is still paying her bills, and is a fan favorite song” and “she hates that song so much she’s so tasteless.” However, this is not the first time the rapper has come out and dissed Starships. During an interview with Pollstar Live in 2020, she stated, “I hate Starships, I mean ew, Starships.” Adding “I’m like, ‘Why did I do that?’ I really think that every time I hear it.” However, Minaj did then sing Super Bass, meaning that while she may not like Starships, she is still willing to sing some of her other old classic songs. Nicki Minaj helps Kai Cenat break his peak Twitch viewership record Twitch: Kai CenatBy simply appearing on Kai Cenat’s Twitch stream, rapper Nicki Minaj helped the top creator break his peak Twitch viewership record. Throughout the last couple of years, Twitch streamer Kai Cenat has absolutely skyrocketed to the top of the site thanks to his infectious personality and various themed streams. He’s had some pretty big names on stream recently as well, including artists Offset and Ice Spice. Cenat’s broadcast on December 14, 2023, was his biggest yet, with Nicki Minaj showing up to help the creator break his all-time peak viewership record. Nicki Minaj appearance on Kai Cenat stream breaks records In the early morning of December 14, 2023, Nicki Minaj joined Kai Cenat on his Twitch stream, and it shattered his previous peak viewership record. StreamsCharts also confirmed that the stream surpassed his previous record by over 40,000. Kai’s stream with Nicki reached 348,593 viewers before leveling out to an average of just 227,874. Viewers watched his stream for just over an hour on average, which is shocking considering it was in the middle of the night for many in North America. This beats his previous record of 306,280, which took place during his July 4, 2023 stream, where he and other members of AMP had a “battle” with fireworks inside of the streaming star’s house. While this isn’t an overall Twitch record, Kai Cenat is no stranger to breaking those as well. Back in February 2023, Kai broke Ludwigs all-time subscriber record with over 300k and still holds it to this day. For more news and other viral stories, keep it locked to Dexerto.

  • Nicki Minaj disses Megan Thee Stallion on Pink Friday 2 track ‘FTCU’ – Dexerto

Nicki Minaj disses Megan Thee Stallion on Pink Friday 2 track ‘FTCU’ Youtube: Nicki MinajNicki Minaj takes a shot at Megan Thee Stallion on standout track “FTCU” from her just-released Pink Friday 2. Nicki Minaj is back with a vengeance. With her long-awaited sequel, Pink Friday 2, Minaj proves to be musically adept and at the top of her spitting game. From sampling Billie Eilish and Cyndi Lauper to swerving from sensitive ballads to thumping verses, she is as good as she’s ever been. As of this writing, the album vaulted to the No. 1 slot on iTunes, with many speculating she could move enough pure units to make an impression on the Billboard 200 chart. With one of the album’s essential cuts, the rapper doesn’t hold back when it comes to dishing out a few cutting bars. Nicki Minaj disses Megan Thee Stallion on “FTCU” With “FTCU,” from Pink Friday 2, Nicki Minaj takes a swipe at Megan Thee Stallion with one of its more incisive lyrics. “Stay in your Tory lane, b****, I’m not Iggy,” she spits. As fans speculated, this line could be a reference to Megan Thee Stallion for “notoriously stealing from Iggy Azalea her entire career,” they wrote, adding a side-by-side comparison of their music. There’s another person this particular lyric could be about. Fans took to Genius.com, the popular lyric site, to add a citation to the lyric. “Nicki could also be coming for Meghann Cuniff, a legal journalist often referred to as ‘MeghannTheeReporter,’ who reported heavily on the Megan and Tory case,” they offered. Cuniff reportedly shared an Iggy Azalea letter—in which Azalea wrote about Tory Lanez’s character during the Megan Thee Stallion shooting case. Cuniff also reported on the Kenneth Petty (Minaj’s husband) rape case from 1995. “Stay in your Tory lane,” might just be a reference to both cases here. Per usual, Nicki Minaj uses the power of her words to address her personal life covertly. We may never know the true intention behind the lyric, but either way, she is none too happy. Time will tell if Megan Thee Stallion responds. For more entertainment news, keep it locked to Dexerto.

Nicki Minaj arrested for drug possession, says it’s “sabotage” Instagram: NickiMinajNicki Minaj is currently embarking on the international leg of her Pink Friday 2 tour. But, she was just given a curveball that could cause her to cancel the rest of the tour. On May 25, the rapper began an Instagram livestream before being arrested by Amsterdam police officers on the charge of drug possession after it was claimed that she brought marijuana with her. During the video, she’s heard asking for a lawyer to be present but eventually sits inside a police car before the door is closed behind her. The rapper and singer-songwriter has been keeping her fanbase updated on the situation via social media with multiple Twitter posts, as well as retweeting posts from her Barbz in her defense. She claims that the arrest is just a way to “sabotage” her tour, but it’s unclear who she’s addressing. While she does admit that marijuana was found, the 41-year-old claims that it belongs to someone in her security detail. After a few hours of no updates from her, Nicki returned to Twitter with a lengthy message and revealed that she had been released from custody and made it to Manchester. Her stop in Manchester at the Co-op Live did have to be postponed, but the Barbie World rapper reassured fans that a new date is already in the works for those who were looking forward to the performance. • NickEH30 Reveals Why He Won’t Play Fortnite with Rapper Lilyachty – Dexerto

NickEH30 Reveals Why He Won’t Play Fortnite with Rapper Lilyachty The collaboration aspect of duos or squad games in a battle royale game has been one of the reasons the genre has become so successful. While your average player will be teaming up with their regular friends, this has resulted in high profile personalities playing with each other for that double exposure. On any given day you can head over to YouTube or Twitch and find huge names teaming up on titles such as Fortnite and PUBG. Perhaps the most high profile example was when Ninja teamed up with Drake and broke the record (at the time) for the most concurrent viewers on an individual stream on Twitch. It doesn’t always work out however, as rapper Lilyachty found out when he Tweeted at popular YouTuber, NickEh30. In the now-deleted Tweet, Lilyachty said he’d like to play with the popular personality, but he didn’t receive the answer he wanted. Nick explained that because he doesn’t allowing cursing on his stream to make it family friendly, he wouldn’t be able to have the rapper associated with FaZe Clan on his broadcast. Hey Lil Yachty, I appreciate the offer, and that you want to play with me , but I have to respectfully decline because I keep my streams family-friendly (I avoid swearing, etc). I saw your matches with Ninja, though…they were interesting. Very entertaining! — Nick Eh 30 (@NickEh30) June 16, 2018 Lilyachty did reply, but his Tweet was eventually deleted.

  • Nick Uhas wants an influencer Big Brother showdown with these YouTubers – Dexerto

Nick Uhas wants an influencer Big Brother showdown with these YouTubers Instagram: tanamongeau, nickuhas, markroberTikTok star, TV host, and former Big Brother contestant Nick Uhas spoke with us about his dream team for a possible influencer version of the popular reality show. Nick Uhas is a man of many talents. A former professional inline skater, actor, television host, and influencer with over 8 million followers across multiple platforms, Uhas has dipped his toes into quite a few professions… including reality TV. In 2013, Nick Uhas competed on Big Brother, a well-known reality competition show that pits its contestants against each other under a single roof, completely isolated from society. While Uhas never won his season of the show (he placed 15th), he’s well-versed in the ins and outs of Big Brother — and he says he’s totally down for an influencer-only version of the televised competition. We got the chance to bend Uhas’ ear on the subject in an exclusive interview, where he gave us his top picks for a YouTuber vs YouTuber Big Brother showdown (if it were to ever happen, that is). “For sure, and being a fan of the show of course, I would obviously want to lean more toward high drama as possible,” he told Dexerto. “So I would say, like, Tana Mojo, going this route. People you know are just going to rock the house.” “But then it would also be really cool to have people like, for example, Mark Rober, who has this engineering grain. That would be really interesting to see, that could potentially play the house like a derrick, where he did the whole season untouched.” Although the official Big Brother show has yet to do an influencer-only version of its iconic series, there has been a similar show run by creators, for creators: Reality House, the latest season of which notably featured Tana Mongeau and Bryce Hall, among other stars. Speaking of influencers, Uhas also let us in on one of his upcoming collaborations. Uhas says he’s working on something special with MrBro, the brother of YouTube powerhouse MrBeast, on an upcoming project. While he wasn’t clear as to what this project might be, Uhas is currently focusing on his collaboration with Bulldog Skincare on a ‘science meets nature’ approach toward skin health. He’ll be uploading some of his classic jaw-dropping science experiments about skincare to his TikTok account — including one where he finds out what happens when you make soap out of peanut oil.

  • NickEh30 Dies to Glitch While One Kill Away From Tying a Friday Fortnite Match – Dexerto

NickEh30 Dies to Glitch While One Kill Away From Tying a Friday Fortnite Match Nicholas ‘NickEh30’ Amyoony proved he is the most positive Fortnite streamer around with his reaction to an unlucky death during a $20,000 Friday Fortnite event. NickEh30 was the last alive for his team, one kill from tying or two kills away from winning the match to advance in Keemstar’s Friday Fortnite Tournament. He was caught out in the storm with low health, needing to heal himself and drive an ATK vehicle quickly back into play. NickEh30 managed to do all of that, yet he still died mysteriously. The anticlimactic end to the match ruined what might have been an exciting finish and a chance at the $10,000 first prize, but NickEh30 reacted with his trademark positivity. He laughed and smiled as he questioned the death, deciding it was because he ran over himself. Read More: Fortnite Summer Skirmish Week 1 $250,000 Tournament Bracket, Rules and Live Stream – Ft. Tfue, CouRage and More – NickEh30 later believed lag was also a factor in the accidental death, since the game was being hosted by his opponents on European servers. Reddit user IOwnYourData also weighed in on a possible cause for the self-elimination: “He tried to get out of the cart, but there wasn’t enough room since he was on a wall. Since the game can’t put two objects in the same space… it put him at the closest available open space. Unfortunately, that open space happened to be right in front of the still-moving vehicle.” Other users pointed out that you cannot damage yourself with a kart, so NickEh30 was potentially glitched underneath the map when struck by the vehicle. There are other Fortnite streamers that would not have reacted as kindly to a glitch death in a major tournament, likely resulting in a NSFW language tirade that would send parents everywhere searching for the mute button. How would you have handled a glitch death in that situation?

  • Nick Uhas reveals plan to break world record again for Elephant Toothpaste explosion – Dexerto

Nick Uhas reveals plan to break world record again for Elephant Toothpaste explosion YouTube: David DobrikTikTok and Big Brother star Nick Uhas made one of the world’s largest elephant toothpaste explosions with David Dobrik back in 2019 — and he wants to do it again in an even bigger way. Nick Uhas is one part influencer, one part scientist, and one part seasoned television host. He’s done just about everything a person can do: From getting his start as a pro inline skater as a teen to studying medicine and subsequently diving into the world of reality TV, it’s clear that Uhas is a well-rounded individual. However, he’s perhaps best known for his online content, in which he pulls off extraordinary science experiments — like his world record-breaking Elephant Toothpaste fountain. In 2019, Uhas teamed up with YouTube star David Dobrik to create the one of world’s largest Elephant Toothpaste explosion. The resulting blast completely covered Dobrik’s backyard in blue goo and took months to clean off the walls of his house. The video garnered over 23 million views on Dobrik’s channel and is one of his most popular uploads yet… but Uhas isn’t done breaking records. We got the chance to speak with Uhas in an exclusive interview, where he clued us in on his big plans for one-upping his previous Elephant Toothpaste achievement in an even bigger and better way. According to Uhas, he and his team want to gauge interest to see if fans would like to attend the experiment in person at a large enough venue to contain the sheer amount of Elephant Toothpaste his venture would produce. “We are collecting the interest of people that want to basically come to the world’s largest Elephant Toothpaste experiment in person, in a stadium,” he explained. “We’re gonna go like ten times more than the last one.” “It’s so big. It’s such a big thing that we were thinking to ourselves, ‘Do we really wanna lock this off to ten or twelve people? Or do we want to make it a ginormous event and open it to the public? So, that’s a work in progress.” Right now, KIWICO holds Guinness World Record for largest Elephant Toothpaste fountain as of January 2022… but it’s clear that Uhas is after the title. While Uhas prepares for this eventual science fair extraordinaire, he’s currently partnering with Bulldog Skincare, which promotes a science-meets-nature approach to skin health. “There is so much science already in nature, because nature already goes through so many replications of what doesn’t work,” he said of the collab. “So in order for nature to deliver a product, it has to go through all these iterations of genetic evolution. …so you end up with the best product through nature.” Click here if TikTok fails to load. “Harnessing the best products you get in nature and combining them with knowledge through science, you get the best stuff.” Uhas will upload his collaborative content with Bulldog Skincare to his TikTok page, where he boasts over 7 million followers and performs a slew of other eye-popping science experiments like making a multicolored fire tornado.

However, other fans predict a large sponsorship for the pro, which would come fresh off the heels of streaming star Tyler “Ninja” Blevins’ own partnership with athletic brand Adidas just a day prior. Whatever the case may be, Nick is keeping tight-lipped about his impending announcement, leaving fans waiting with bated breath for Thursday’s grand reveal. • ‘Nicest cop ever’ stuns viewers by making man take breathalyzer at home – Dexerto

‘Nicest cop ever’ stuns viewers by making man take breathalyzer at home TikTok/micahcolberttA police officer who has been dubbed the “nicest cop ever” is leaving viewers on TikTok confused after he made a man take a breathalyzer test in his own home. Throughout the years there have been numerous incidents of cops seemingly abusing their power, but sometimes an officer shines through and changes perspectives. In a viral TikTok, a man filmed a cop come to his door asking that a breathalyzer test be taken, surprising both the man and viewers across the platform. However, it’s the way the officer handled the situation that has fans supporting him while not exactly understanding why it was okay to come to someone’s house to perform a test. Police officer goes viral after breathalyzer test at man’s house In the video uploaded by user ‘micahcolbertt,’ the officer showed up to his house after receiving a traffic complaint alleging possible impairment and swerving out of lanes. The cop went on to demonstrate how the test is used, whole Micah looked on, terrified that an officer was at his home as another police cruiser pulled up. According to the officer, when he shows up alone, a second cop is always sent just in case a suspect is impaired and starts running to avoid arrest. This seemed to relax Micah, who calmed down, took the test, and passed, scoring a zero and earning a fist-bump from the cop. However, the fact that the officer was able to show up and ask for a test to be done at someone’s home confused TikTok viewers. “He could have drank when he was inside legally allowed after driving? I’ve never heard of a breathalyzer done after at home,” one commented. “How could they prove it was him behind the wheel? Man this is crazy,” another said. As other viewers pointed out though, the laws are a bit different in Canada. Since 2019, officers in the country can show up at someone’s house and ask them to take a breathalyzer test on the spot. Blowing over the legal limit two hours after driving could result in legal consequences. Nonetheless, viewers were also impressed by the cop, saying he “passed the vibe check.” “I went to school with that cop. Nicest guy ever!” wrote a TikToker user. The whole incident was confusing yet heartwarming at the same time, resulting in over 1.6 million views in just one day so far.

  • Nick Bean says he doesn’t speak to Sway House boys anymore – Dexerto

Nick Bean says he doesn’t speak to Sway House boys anymore Nick BeanNick Bean revealed he doesn’t speak to other members from the Sway House anymore after he fought with them at a restaurant, although he didn’t elaborate on the finer details. Nick Bean has been a member of the Sway House for quite some time now. It’s less than a year old, but it’s already grown into one of the two most prominent TikTok influencer supergroups. It houses some of the biggest names in the scene, including Bryce Hall, Griffin Johnson, and Noah Beck. Nick Bean, who is the creative director of the group, has collaborated with them throughout the year. However, he came under fire recently for doing the ‘fox eye’ in a video, a trend where people stretch their eyes to ‘imitate’ an Asian eye shape. It’s widely considered to be an act of racial stereotyping and discrimination. Now, it seems like Nick Bean has found himself at odds with the rest of the crew. In a recent video, he dropped a bombshell and claimed he doesn’t speak to any other members from the Sway House. However, before getting stuck into the details, he pointed out that he doesn’t have an issue with Bryce Hall. The two of them have been good friends for a very long time. “I love Bryce. [He] is the only person [in the Sway House] I really, really care about,” he said. Once he got that off his chest, he explained the situation. “I got into a fight at Mel’s Diner. I dropped some rude words… I was being a little bit arrogant,” he said. “And [because of that] I don’t talk to anybody in Sway anymore.” View this post on Instagram Interestingly, no official announcement about his departure has been made. However, TikTok influencers join and leave supergroups all the time, so he might already be riding solo. Either way, it looks like Nick Bean’s time at the Sway House has come to a bitter end for the time being, but it might not be permanent. He seemed genuinely remorseful about the situation, and although a month-long rift has formed, only time will tell whether it’s salvageable.

NFTs could be perfect for influencers – but they keep ruining it Yuga Labs/YouTube: David DobrikWith the rise of NFTs, creators and influencers have the perfect opportunity to leverage their brand and expand their revenue streams — but most of them are missing the mark completely. Non-fungible Tokens, or NFTs, have grown exponentially in recent years – although it’s not all positive. The most expensive NFTs are worth millions of dollars, with digital assets from brands like Yuga Labs’ Bored Ape Yacht Club, Larva Labs’ CryptoPunk, and more becoming incredibly valuable to own. NFTs, though, for as much as they have grown, have also become somewhat taboo among skeptics and fans of those who look to utilize them. Their skepticism isn’t misplaced, either: mistrust in any new technology is likely to happen, but one that breaks banks for what is perceived as no real reason becomes an easy target for accusations of scams, ponzi schemes, money laundering, or really any other variety of financial misdeed. Content creators getting NFTs wrong There’s no denying that a number of top influencers have made good money from NFTs, especially those who hopped in early. FaZe Clan co-owner Ricky ‘Banks’ Bergstrom, for example, started his Web3 journey before the industry really started to boom, and as such has an NFT wallet worth at least $10m by his own estimations. For most influencers, though, this is the key reason they have shown any interest in NFTs or blockchain technology in general. While Banks may have plans in Web3 beyond just cashing in on NFTs, many don’t have the same mindset. There have been numerous crypto and NFT scams from content creators in the last year alone. Earlier in March 2022, Banks spoke out about YouTuber David Dobrik, who was accused of being involved in a $6m “scam” through the Bored Bunny NFTs. “I think it’s worth noting that I didn’t make this mistake only because I’ve taken the time to educate myself,” Banks explained at the time. “A lot of these influencers take deals brought to them by their management [because they’re] treated as a product campaign.” Outside of the “scam” accusations that are levied against creators who promote certain NFT projects, there are also those who either create their own cryptocurrency or NFT without full knowledge of what they’re actually agreeing to. ‘Utility’ is an incredibly important word in the world of Web3. It’s key for any NFT project looking to onboard customers or, in this case, influencers looking to leverage their brand with fans, that they have something to offer in return. The idea that you could simply sell the NFT for more money than you paid for it (dubbed the ‘bigger fool’ model), or simply help said influencer, isn’t enough and does a complete disservice to the fans who support their favorite creators. This is exactly what YouTube collective Yes Theory found out when they launched their NFT. Fans quickly called them out on it and criticized their decision. Their NFT is meant to fund the post-production of their ‘Project Iceman’ documentary, with said NFT also operating as a ticket to the premiere of the film. The issue is, that isn’t rational justification for an NFT by the standards of their viewers. Many of them are, quite rightly, asking why they couldn’t simply have sold tickets as tickets. What use is an NFT in this scenario? The crucial thing they got wrong was that they tried to implement the technology with no understanding (by their own admission) of NFTs or why they should use it. They did change course and decided to offer just 50% of their tickets as NFTs, but the damage was already done. Who’s doing it right? While there are some notable instances where influencers and brands have failed their fans, others are finding ways to make sure their fans benefit. The NELK Boys, for example, have their FULL SEND Metacard, a membership of sorts for NELK’s followers. The plan for these Metacards is to give owners priority access to merchandise and future NELK brands, including gyms, casinos, and more. In the world of esports, London-based organization Fnatic has similar aims for their NFT which, similarly, operates as a membership program. At three tiers of membership, owners can get varying levels of rewards, including merchandise each year, mystery boxes, and “unprecedented access to your Fnatic heroes.” Esports fans are also notoriously reluctant to dip into their pockets usually, but NFTs, if done right, could be a solution to this industry-wide dilemma. For committed Fnatic or NELK fans, these rewards are unparalleled. After a couple of years, they may well have made their money back simply in the value of merchandise or membership costs, and that’s not including the value of the NFTs themselves. That, to many, begs the question: Why does it have to be an NFT? Why not just a traditional membership? The fact is, it benefits both parties. So, why NFTs? This is ultimately the question that so many people ask when these things crop up. Why do brands and influencers have to make their memberships an NFT? For creators to better get a grasp of their income and not have to live under the rules of platforms such as YouTube or Twitch, a membership subscription is a logical and fan-friendly solution. By creating a membership platform as an NFT, both creator and fan can benefit. Rather than ‘renting’ a membership and ultimately losing every asset or advantage when ending the membership — or, alternatively, spending extortionate monthly fees for years on end — the one-off cost of an NFT grants you all the benefits available until you decide to sell your membership, at least offering the opportunity for a return on your initial investment. The fact is that there are still many NFT and Web3 skeptics across the internet, and that isn’t likely to change for several years. When influencers look to utilize NFTs as a way to leverage their brand, the last thing they want — and, often, the first thing many assume — is that it comes across as predatory. Simply “ownership of a part of the X brand” isn’t enough to justify a fan minting an influencer’s NFT; there has to be some kind of intrinsic reward for being part of an exclusive club. While some know that, many are failing to recognize it — or recognize the opportunities of NFTs for their community at all.

NHL star Evander Kane wants to “wreck” Jake Paul in Vegas boxing match Instagram: jakepaul / evander9kaneMany people have called out Jale Paul after he mopped the floor with Nate Robinson, but it’s hard to name a better candidate than NHL star Evander Kane, who said he’s keen to “wreck” him in the ring. Jake Paul set the world on fire after knocking out Nate Robinson in two rounds during the Mike Tyson vs. Roy Jones Jr. exhibition bout. He was the bigger and more experienced fighter, but he still put on an absolute clinic. In his post-fight interview, Jake Paul was riding a high and laid down a series of ambitious challenges. He listed everyone from Conor McGregor and Dillon Danis to his brother, Logan Paul. However, other big names have challenged him, too, including Olajide ‘KSI’ Olatunji. But while they would all be formidable foes, NHL star Evander Kane has eclipsed them all after he let loose on social media. Evander Kane, an experienced fighter in his own right, flirted with the idea of taking on Jake Paul himself. Waiting for that answer @jakepaul https://t.co/EVe52HamTO — Evander Kane (@evanderkane) November 30, 2020 Jake Paul is hot property at the moment; it seems like everyone wants a piece of him. In the end, though, the ball is in his court, and he’ll likely make a decision based on what’s best for him. Still, Kane is one of the more exciting prospective opponents he could face. The thought of them fighting is generating a lot of buzz, and it’s gaining more traction as time goes on.

NFT owners left worried as Discord scams are exposed A recent string of scammers on Discord have made NFT owners more cautious about who they converse with. NFTs, or non-fungible tokens, have grown in popularity in the last year for their unique use of blockchain technology and representation of a new way to own art. Some NFTs have sold for millions of dollars, and huge artists like Lil Nas X have made their very own unique ones. Owners have become increasingly wary as scammers have been using the popular communications app Discord to attempt to swindle owners of their valuable tokens. The Pittsburgh Steelers star has amassed over 940,000 subscribers on his YouTube channel and is also a member of the popular esports and gaming organization, FaZe Clan, alongside many other top creators. In his latest YouTube video on January 10, the American football pro showed viewers his generous side once again by surprising one of his friends with a brand new car. After buying the new Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat for his friend and former USC teammate, Delvon Simmons, JuJu decided to get a quick prank in by throwing eggs at his old car ahead of revealing the new upgrade. JuJu then blindfolded his friend and guided him up to the roof of the parking lot where the Challenger was waiting before making the grand reveal and tossing him the keys. • NFL star Pat McAfee spectacularly fails at guessing what League of Legends is – Dexerto

NFL star Pat McAfee spectacularly fails at guessing what League of Legends is Instagram, @patmcafeeshow / Riot GamesWhat do Stone Cold Steve Austin, Kris Jenner and Dwanye ‘The Rock’ Johnson have in common? They’re all characters in League of Legends according to the imagination of former NFL star Pat McAfee. League of Legends is a complicated game. At over 140 champions, Riot Games’ multiplayer online battle arena game has only grown more and more difficult to master in the decade since its 2009 release. While the massively popular, globally renowned MOBA can be confusing to even its most dedicated fans — it’s obviously even more puzzling to those who know nothing about it. One such person is McAfee, a decorated former punter for the Indianapolis Colts who is now a podcast host and (sometimes) professional wrestler. On a recent episode of , LoL was brought up and the sports aficionado wanted to guess what the game was based solely on its name. Standing up and gesticulating widely, McAfee passionately, confidently came up with a beautifully off-base premise for what a game called “League of Legends” could be. For mobile users, segment begins at 1:55. Stemming from a conversation about how the Oculus has changed his perception on video games, McAfee admits he never liked gaming because he was bad at it. Now, he’s intrigued and applies that curiosity to LoL where he tries to guess what the game could be. Unfortunately, his first premise starts off on the wrong foot: “Almost like the NFL, you’ve got 32 teams and it’s a league.” Then, it gets a little more convoluted when he starts thinking about the “legends” aspect: “There are legends that run said team … actual legends, like characters … Stone Cold Steve Austin probably has a team to fight against. The Rock probably has a team. These are legendary human beings. Read more: Riot has new plans for OP healing in League – “I would assume Kris Jenner has a squad, there’s a legend in a different field … Maybe the writers got in there.” View this post on Instagram As for the combat, McAfee imagines that LoL’s teams “play each other in some sort of sport” and that maybe that sports involves killing and swords, because “It feels like potential sword game.” Eventually, the NFL icon gets to watch some footage of the game and realizes that no, the Jenner matriarch and writers are not managing teams of sword fighters. Instead, he quickly wonders if what he’s seeing is some sort of hybrid of Risk and the Sims. By the segment’s finish, McAfee learns a little bit more about LoL and possibly comes up with an alternative game franchise that Riot can look into. He and his fellow hosts also end up renaming the title “Lots of Love” and decide that the greatest League of Legends player of all time would be… Winston Churchill.

  • NFL fans baffled by Dr Disrespect’s appearance at 49ers playoff win – Dexerto

NFL fans baffled by Dr Disrespect’s appearance at 49ers playoff win Twitter: NFLNFL fans were left pretty confused by Dr Disrespect’s appearance at the San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks NFC wild-card game as the streamer played the role of pre-game hype man. When he’s not dominating with his signature violence, speed, and momentum on the sticks in Call of Duty, Dr Disrespct can usually be found backing his hometown sports teams. The Two-Time has shown up at NBA playoff games in rooting for the Golden State Warriors, and he’s even announced an NFL draft pick for the San Francisco 49ers. He’s been getting involved with the NFL side of things a bit more, given his ongoing trash talk with TimTheTatman over the Cowboys, and even got to make an appearance at the Niners wild-card win over the Seattle Seahawks. Though, not everyone was impressed. Dr Disrespect appears at 49ers play-off game to sound fog horn The Doc assumed the role of pre-game hype man, urging the Niners faithful to get loud for their team as they faced their divisional rivals. It ultimately worked, given that they progressed to the NFC divisional round with a 41-23 win. Though the streamer’s fans were happy to see him on the big stage again, it didn’t quite resonate with everyone. “I have no idea who this guy is,” said a number of fans on social media. “Looks like nobody really cares about this dude. We couldn’t get Patrick Willis? Or someone people actually care about?” added another 49ers fan. “Truly “Disrespectful” to the faithful to have this man do the fog horn before the game when you have legends in The house such as Jerry Rice, John Taylor, and Tom Rathman. 49ers gotta do better!” another commented. Some even joked that the Doc’s appearance reminded them of Ninja’s infamous “I’m not seeing any movement” blunder during his New Year’s appearance on TV back in 2018. Even if some NFL fans have no idea who he is, The Doc won’t care all that much, given his team are moving on and he’s getting closer to appearing in a championship parade.

  • NFL fans run up massive beer tab until the New York Jets ruined everything – Dexerto

NFL fans run up massive beer tab until the New York Jets ruined everything CBS58 NewsA group of beer drinkers were left with a hefty bar tab when the New York Jets won against the Buffalo Bills in Aaron Rodgers’ debut game as a Jets player. Aaron Rodgers left the Packers in 2022 after 18 seasons with the ‘cheese heads.’ He began playing in the NFL in 2005 and started as quarterback for the Packers for 15 of the 18 seasons he played for them. Though he chose to leave his longtime NFL team for the Jets, as he felt his time with the Packers was up, Rodgers still has quite the following. So when he made his debut with the New York Jets on Sunday, September 11, a Wisconsin bar called ‘Jack’s American Pub’ made a deal with their bargoers that if Rodgers and the Jets lost, all their beer would be free. However, if they won — their bar tab would need to be paid in full. Wisconsin bar to offer free tab deal for another 12 games When a sports bar offers free beer, all bets are off in weighing your odds against the deal that would either make you win or lose said free beer — especially on game night. So when ‘Jack’s American Pub’ in Wisconsin, where Rodgers previously played for 18 seasons, offered free beer to the bargoers if he and the Jets lost, tabs started to add up. Especially after Rodgers was taken out of the game after the first quarter, as fans assumed the Jets wouldn’t do well after that. However, when the game ended, there was a tie — so overtime proceeded. Though bargoers may have thought they had the game rounded out, the Jets ended up winning in OT with a score of 22-16. So what did that mean for the people at ‘Jack’s American Pub?’ Well, let’s just say, their pockets may have ended up empty, as the deal stated that only if the Jets lost, would the beer be free. So, fortunately for the bar, they ended up with a successful night for the front of the house. So, uh, we were live on the air at Jack’s when the Jets won, and everyone realized they weren’t drinking for free after all pic.twitter.com/VCZJNGBaym — A.J. Bayatpour (@AJBayatpour) September 12, 2023 However, for bargoers who ran up their tab, thinking that the Jets would lose without Rodgers, their story ended a little differently. Though the deal made by ‘Jack’s American Pub’ may have seemed simple, there were two conditions — one being that Rodgers had to start the game, and second, the Jets and Packers couldn’t be playing at the same time. Luckily for those who found fun participating in the football bout, they’ll have 12 more Jets games to potentially win free beer, as ‘Jack’s American Pub’ will be offering the same deal as the NFL season continues. As for Rodgers and the Jets, they are set to face off against the Cowboys this Sunday, September 17.

  • Neymar and AOC become fastest-growing streamers on Twitch – Dexerto

Neymar and AOC become fastest-growing streamers on Twitch Twitch/WikimediaPSG star Neymar and US Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez have skyrocketed to the top of the streaming platform’s list of fastest-growing streamers for October. Typically, the fastest-growing channels on Twitch are the biggest names like Ninja, shroud and summit1g. While those broadcasters do feature lower down on this list, there are a number of surprises this October. Ninja, according to TwitchMetrics, is the eighth fastest-growing streamer, accumulating over 336,000 new followers in the last 30 days. However, he is quite simply blown out of the water when looking at the top two, who’ve experienced growth at nearly double the rate. Neymar and AOC take over Twitch Second on the list is AOC, the US Congresswoman who broke records with her Among Us stream alongside Pokimane, Dr Lupo and more. Before the first round even got underway, more than 400,000 viewers had jumped into the channel. Her Twitch channel, which was made for the aforementioned Among Us stream, has gained over 673,000 followers. Upwards of half a million of those came on the night of her record-breaking stream. However, just pipping AOC to the top spot is Brazilian football star Neymar Jr. The Paris Saint-Germain forward has taken to streaming video games, mostly Valve’s CS:GO. It looks like a lot of his fans from football have followed him to Twitch, as he gained over 677,000 followers in the past month, making him the fastest growing Twitch channel in the world. Loud.gg dominate the top 20 fastest growing Twitch streamers Away from the top two is the incredible growth of a number of streamers from Loud.gg. The Brazilian organization is represented in the top 20 by 10 of its streamers – including coringa, thurzin, babi and Mii in the top 10. While they all variety stream and try their hands at different games, Garenga Free Fire has dominated the agenda for most of them. The mobile battle royale has risen in popularity exponentially, becoming 2019’s most downloaded mobile title. Another notable inclusion is SouljaBoy, with the US rapper gaining 350,000 followers and sitting in 7th position. It just goes to show the popularity of video games, and the appeal of watching your favorite celebrities gaming, whatever their full-time profession. We’re sure next month’s list will feature just as many surprises.

  • Neymar Jr banned on Twitch after apparently leaking teammate’s number – Dexerto

Neymar Jr banned on Twitch after apparently leaking teammate’s number neymarjr/instagramPSG football superstar Neymar Jr. has been banned from Twitch, and while there’s no official reason yet, speculation is that it’s for inadvertently leaking the phone number of Brazil National Team teammate, Richarlison. Neymar’s account was taken offline on November 9 apparently out of nowhere, but word soon started spreading that it probably stemmed from an incident where the star accidentally shared Richarlison’s phone number live on his stream. Putting out other people’s personal information, like addresses and phone numbers, is against Twitch’s Community Guidelines and Terms of Service, and is certainly an offense that can result in a suspension or permanent ban. The violation seemingly took place back on October 18, when Neymar showed viewers his cellular phone while it was calling Richarlison – inevitably revealing the Everton player’s phone number for all to see. Richarlison even jokingly tweeted about the situation, acting unamused at the fact that Neymar’s gaffe had resulted in him receiving. “more than 10 thousand messaged” in five minutes. Even though this event is from several weeks ago, the fact that he left the VOD up on his Twitch channel instead of deleting it may have left him susceptible to punishment. There’s no ‘statute of limitations’ on such violations, as long as the evidence is there to prove it. All that said, however, there’s obviously no way of 100% knowing why he’s been banned since Twitch never divulges their reasoning for any suspension. 5 minutos e já tem mais de 10 mil msgs🤦🏽♂️ obrigado @neymarjr — Richarlison Andrade (@richarlison97) October 18, 2020 This is made even more unclear considering that the recent wave of DMCA strikes is causing numerous streamers to suffer such a fate, so there’s a chance Neymar’s ban could be because of that and not having anything to do with leaking a phone number. Regardless, Neymar is one of the biggest, most well-known personalities in the world, not to mention Twitch, though he has been spending a lot more time streaming games like CS:GO, Call of Duty, and others on the platform in recent months. Ironically enough, he’s even streamed with NAVi star Oleksandr ‘S1mple’ Kostyliev, who was also recently banned, though these incidents seem to be completely unrelated.

Fox 29 traffic anchor Bob Kelly is recovering after being assaulted during an event at the Jersey Shore on Sunday, July 30, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer. The publication reported that Kelly was emceeing a party at a Jersey Shore bar on Sunday when an unidentified man filmed himself pouring beer on Kelly’s shoulder and head before punching him in the face when Kelly tried to swat away the beer. Kelly was transported to a local hospital where he was treated for minor injuries. Kelly’s left eye was barely open as he discussed the ordeal during an appearance on “Good Day Philadelphia” on August 1. “It was a frightening, disturbing event that apparently was incited by this TikTok challenge — similar to what you saw happen to Cardi B, with the water and being videoed,” Kelly said. It is unclear which TikTok challenge Kelly was referring to as it relates to the Cardi B incident, but the singer recently threw a microphone at a fan who tossed their drink at her. This is not the first TikTok “challenge” of being accused of being dangerous. Previous trends have seen TikTok users eat Tidepods, or more recently Borax. Several prank videos have also been seen going wrong. In 2022, two teens reportedly died after participating in the “Angel of Death” challenge, where youths ran in front of moving trucks to see how they’d avoid hitting them.

New York Jets coach explains why he’s using running backs “like Pokemon” New York Jets/NintendoAn NFL coach for the New York Jets explained why he’s rotating his running backs on the team as if they were Pokemon and he was their trainer. The NFL season is just around the corner and with it comes the chance for all 32 teams to make it to the playoffs, and ultimately, win a Superbowl championship. With preseason just kicking off, and Madden 23‘s release fast approaching, the New York Jets have begun their offseason which has commenced the battle for the starting running back spot. With so many players fighting for carries, the Jets’ running backs coached compared rotating the backs in and out like being a Pokemon trainer. NY Jets coach claims he’s just like a Pokemon trainer On August 17, Jets RB coach Taylor Embree had a perfect metaphor for managing the team’s running back depth. The AFC team has built depth at the position, and had been looking to see who will emerge from the bunch as the strongest. He said, “I was describing it to my wife: I feel like it’s Pokemon and you’re just sending out your next Pokemon.” Embree compared the squad’s halfbacks Breece Hall, Michael Carter, and Tevin Coleman to having a squad of Pokemon at his arsenal, each with different power levels and attributes. As for exactly which of the three Pokemon the Jets players parallel the most, Embree didn’t clarify. One Jet fan in the replies to the tweet had their theories, “Hall is Charmander, Carter is Squirtle, and everyone else is Bulbasaur because no one cares.” With the Jets coming off a poor performance in 2021 winning just four games, they’ll need to feed Breece Hall and Micahel Carter as many rare candies as they can find in order to level up quickly.

GameStop stock drama explained In essence, this means that the investors were betting against GameStop’s success. In doing so, they borrowed shares of the company, sold them, then waited for the stock to drop in value so that they could buy the ‘borrowed’ shares back at a lower price, return them, and pocket the difference. However, those at WallStreetBets truly “went to the moon” in response, buying oodles of GameStop stock, causing it to dramatically rise in value as a result. New Walking Dead video game confirmed for next-gen consoles AMCThe Walking Dead fans have been hit with a huge surprise as a new video game based on the AMC series has been confirmed for next-gen consoles. It will be released on the Xbox Series X and PS5, but also current gen too. The series has had games based on it released in the past, including the famous Telltale stories that rolled out in 2012. Eight years on, another game has been announced and let’s just say the concept is interesting to say the least. Millions of eyes across the world will have been locked onto Gamescom on August 28. At the event, which was presented in a different way to the usual format due to the ongoing global situation, Fall Guys fans were given a sneak peek at Season 2 and some Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War news was delivered. In the midst of all the hype, fans of TWD will have been pleasantly surprised by the reveal of a new game coming later this year from Headup Games. Bridge Constructor: The Walking Dead announced This one might hurt Rick Grimes fans a little, but the game is going to be all about building bridges. The former lead character, played by Andrew Lincoln, exited the show in Season 9 after an explosion on a bridge. Michonne and Daryl looked on in disbelief thinking their leader, and friend, had died. Viewers know he washed up on shore just fine, though he hasn’t been back since. Well, in Bridge Constructor you get the chance to build structures that are as strong as anything. A new trailer dropped for the game during the Gamescom presentation and it was a fairly dramatic entrance, too. What’s it about? The trailer doesn’t give a whole lot away and really focuses on the drama of the scene. After heading over to Headup Games’ website, though, we learnt more about what this title will have to offer. An official statement reads: “Join a group of survivors as they fight against hordes of undead walkers and a hostile human community. Build bridges and other constructions through bleak landscapes and ruined structures. Team up with fan-favorite characters like Daryl, Michonne and Eugene, and create safe passage for iconic vehicles from the series. “Use movable level objects, explosives and baits to your advantage as you lure walkers into lethal traps and guide your survivors to safety. Enjoy the physics-based frenzy and ragdoll animations as walkers succumb to the forces of gravity.” So, it appears that strategy is going to be a big part of the gameplay experience, just like previous Bridge Constructor games. When is the next Walking Dead game coming out? You won’t have to wait long to get your hands on the game. It will be released at some stage in 2020, potentially later in the year towards the Holiday season. No specific date has been mentioned in that regard. What we know, though, is that it will be coming out on Xbox One, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, PS5, Nintendo Switch, PC and on mobile devices as well.
