As a result, Ludwig has become the most subscribed-to streamer on Twitch and is closing in on all sorts of records held by Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins that nobody thought would ever be topped. While Ludwig has not yet surpassed Ninja’s record of having nearly 270,000 subscribers, he’s joined the streaming star in an exclusive club. As of April 6, the former Smash Bros pro hit the 200,000 subscribers mark, becoming only the second-ever streamer to do so behind Ninja. According to Twitch Tracker, the exact number is just a shade over 200,000 – sitting at 200,471. However, given that subscriptions are continuing to come thick and fast to keep the subathon going, Ludwig is probably already well ahead of that total now. Ludwig said on the subathon previously that it will be capped at 31 days, a whole month of streaming. If his fans, and people gifting subs to his channel, made that happen, he would almost certainly surpass Ninja’s all-time record. While some might see that as a mega windfall, he won’t be walking away with a massive slice of the pie once things are all said and done. Ludwig revealed that Twitch will get the biggest slice, while cash will also go to taxes, and his mods will also be paid for their efforts.

Ludwig becomes No1 subbed streamer On March 21 2021, Ludwig became the most-subscribed Twitch streamer, eclipsing Minecraft streamer Ranboo, according to stats from TwitchTracker, which show his sub count reached over 92,635. Twitch does not publicly disclose subscription figures, and so these numbers are only estimates provided by Twitch Tracker. However, stats gathered from u/raddog86 estimate Ludwig’s current total at 91,852, so we know we’re in the right ballpark. Ranboo has fallen to second place, with TwitchTracker data showing his active subscriber count to be just over 71k, while xQc sits third. All these subs have put a lot of money into Ludwig’s pockets. Now, YouTube creator Ludwig believes the blame ultimately lies with 100 Thieves for its “shady” business decisions. Ludwig’s video surrounding GeoGussr even inspired Trevor “georainbolt” Rainbolt to become one of the best GeoGuessr players in the world, according to Ludwig himself. Now, the two creators teamed up to help one fan find the location where he proposed to his wife back in 2009, based off one grainy video. Ludwig and Rainbolt help fan using Google Maps Rainbolt posted about the story on his Twitter account, saying “A fan e-mailed @ludwig asking if I could find this street he proposed to his wife on in 2009. He wanted to take her back to that road one day…but it was 13 years ago…” The GeoGuessr savant posted a minute-long video breaking down the exact steps he took to track down the location. The fan proposed to his wife on a random street in Japan with a view of Mt. Fuji in the background, which was one of the key elements for Rainbolt to track down the location. Additionally, the fan was able to remember “he took a bus from Fujisawa” near the location where he eventually ended up proposing. With this info, Rainbolt was able to determine the couple faced the east side of Mt. Fuji. From here, he used Google Maps to analyze the bus routes from Fujisawa to narrow down potential cities and even scanned street view angles to try and line up the iconic mountain precisely. Astoundingly, Rainbolt was able to match Mt. Fuji’s profile exactly as the video had, but he couldn’t pinpoint the exact location. With the help of another GeoGuessr, Rainbolt was able to line up the exact angle of the video, assisting the couple and fulfilling Ludwig’s initial request for help.

Facebook’s ‘breastfeeding cat lady’ blew up even more when posted to TikTok, and the same has happened once again, thanks to Lucky1995 reposting a prank video from ‘Living in 2077‘ on Facebook, which itself was reposted from the original creator, ‘FakePranksTV‘. The clip has now been viewed over 16 million times on TikTok, but while the prank is entertaining, it’s all thanks to one of the targets – who remained totally oblivious to what was going on. The organizers of the prank, Fake Pranks TV, hired Instagram model Drea to touch men’s hands as they held on to the rail of an escalator. As she passed, she would say something flirtatious to the men, often duping them into chasing after her. However, one man remained resolute in his stance, and totally ignored Drea, even when she grabbed his shoulder. Viewers have praised the man as the “main character, writing “his goals are beyond our comprehension.” “He has no time for side quests. Main character energy!” others said, describing the man as an “alpha” and “chad.” However, some believe that he had just very quickly cottoned on to the fact that it was a prank, perhaps spotting the camera or just doubting the legitimacy of such an interaction occurring naturally. LS reveals how xQc reached out to him during T1 fans backlash Invern/xQcNick ‘LS’ De Cesare has revealed that Felix ‘xQc’ Lengyel reached out to him during the T1 backlash offering his support and advice. T1’s accidental leak that revealed LS was set to be the organization’s new League of Legends coach resulted in a wave of backlash against both parties. Fans of the organization opted to send unjustifiable racial and homophobic abuse towards LS, as well as doxxing his grandmother and sending packages to her address. T1, from an outside perspective, did not handle the situation appropriately and seemingly offered little support to LS during this period. This resulted in LS disabling his Twitter and going completely dark for a short period of time. This was no doubt due to the amount of hate and criticism he was receiving from T1 fans. One person who reached to support him was huge Twitch personality xQc. xQc reached out to LS during T1 fans backlash LS revealed on stream that the Twitch personality reached out to him in support. “Before I disabled my Twitter and went dark on everything, xQc was one of the very few people who reached out to me,” he said. Now, a band by the name of Loveless has taken over TikTok after turning the song into a pop-punk ballad. Peaches has frequently commented and interacted with stars including Diego Martir, Noah Schnapp, and Charli D’Amelio. In one of Charli’s recent Instagram lives, she wrote “CHARLIE PLEASE SLEEP WITH NOAH” and made references to sex toys. In March, Peaches appeared to break into Malu Trevejo’s house and shared the incident on her social media. A few new social stars, like Charli and Dixie D’Amelio, Addison Rae, and Bryce Hall have been born out of TikTok, but influencers with established followings have also benefitted. That includes UK influencer Amber Rose Gill, who won the 2019 series of Love Island. She’s racked up over a million followers, but claims her account is being stunted and shadowbanned by the platform. The 23-year-old took to Instagram to vent her frustrations, claiming she’s being affected while much worse content is allowed to stay online on the social media app. “I love getting shadowbanned on TikTok all the time,” she said on February 20. “Youse ask when I don’t post TikToks, its because I just get banned everytime I post something. Posted myself in a leotard and apparently, that’s nudity when I’ve seen a lot worse s**t on that app.” The reality TV star also showed off the post that landed in hot water, as it’s her showing photos of herself in a leotard with music playing. “This is what keeps getting down on TikTok,” she said. “This is not a violation. This is art.” Amber wouldn’t be the first creator to suffer problems with the app. Others, like Bella Poarch have been banned from commenting after being mass reported by trolls. They have only been in the villa for two weeks, and the Love Island singletons and production team are now suffering from a stomach bug, which has “torn its way through the set.” According to show insiders, islanders and crew members on the winter edition of the series have grown sick with diarrhoea as result of the illness. “Love Island might look very sexy on the television but behind the scenes, there has been a bug going around,” a source told The Sun. “As well as rushing to the Beach Hut for a chat, the islanders have also been dashing off to use the [toilet],” they claimed. “It has been pretty rough for some of them. Some of the production team have also been affected by the sickness bug,” the source added. “It has torn its way through the set and the aftermath has been less than appealing.” Drama in the Love Island villa Despite the illness, drama has been brewing at the villa and islanders are still going “all out” to attract a partner. It was that kind of vibe, we started to ask why we were in the house together. “That all came alive in the second house even more so, where we never filmed, we never did anything. The only thing we really did do together was stuff for my videos, so at least I was capitalizing on it where I could, in the end.” Lufu believes Click will be better after ditching the house Click Crew’s lavish Sydney content house may be coming to an end after two years housing some of Australia’s biggest online stars, but Loserfruit doesn’t think it’s going to be a bad thing for the group at all. Sure, it will be “scary,” she admitted, and the Aussie YouTuber knows she’s going to be “sad the house has ended” for a while, but if it means Click can continue to grow again, and not get stuck because of the house, she’s game. “We were already seeing each other a lot, and when you see your best friends every day, you don’t have new things to say, so when you then have to film together on top of spending time together it’s like ‘what do I say, what do I do?’” she said. “I don’t think our houses crumbled, both were incredibly successful, and I believe that. They were great, and now they’re just coming to their rightful end. I think it’s the best decision we have made. Although Twitch does not publicly disclose the cause of bans, viewers of his stream suggest that it was after a scene in the 2004 film ‘Supersize Me’ briefly showed a prostate exam taking place. According to one viewer, Sammartino “was literally watching supersize me a McDonald’s documentary that’s [rated] PG and a dude was getting a medical exam. The doctor checked his rectum.” The ban has caused some controversy over Twitch’s consistency with punishments for community guidelines violations. It’s less than a week after Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys escaped a ban for showing “inappropriate” content, due to a prank from a troll.
