  • Madison Beer goes viral after roasting a body-shaming commenter – Dexerto

Madison Beer goes viral after roasting a body-shaming commenter Instagram: madisonbeerSinger and Twitch streamer Madison Beer went viral after giving a body-shaming commenter a taste of his own medicine, sparking an online debate regarding fan behavior. Madison Beer is a singer, influencer, and a budding Twitch streamer. Best known for her career as a music artist, Beer has picked up a prominent online following alongside three album releases since 2018. Boasting over 18 million followers on TikTok and 37 million on Instagram, Beer has been a social media icon for many years now — but she recently picked up streaming in June 2023, acquiring an entirely new sort of audience in the process. Since then, she’s managed to accrue over half a million followers on her Twitch channel… but unfortunately, not all of her viewers are leaving positive remarks online. Madison Beer hits back at body-shaming commenter Like any prominent celebrity, Madison has received her fair share of mean comments and speculation over the years… but one commenter prompted her to hit back at them after they made a lengthy statement regarding her weight. “Hey Madison, I’ve noticed that your legs and arms are getting fatter,” the commenter wrote on TikTok. “Please do some cardio, because we men only like skinny girls. Your face is already perfect, but please, we love a thin-waisted girl.” Madison Beer hit back at him with a remark about his own looks, saying: “I wouldn’t touch you with a ten-foot pole if you paid me a million dollars.” That wasn’t the end of the exchange, though. The commenter responded to the situation in a series of posts via his Instagram stories, where he revealed he suffers from mental health problems. “Hey Madison, maybe you should know that I’m already depressed,” they wrote. “I am bipolar, and I’m extremely depressed and my biggest crush saying this to me has broke my heart.” “I always supported you even though your songs aren’t that good,” they continued. “I thought you were a good human being. You can’t just say this to your fans. Thanks for making me more sad, Madison. Thanks a lot.” That’s not all; he also posted a screenshot of several DMs he’d supposedly sent to Beer, calling her his “biggest crush” and “wifey.” However, seemingly in response to Beer’s comment at him, he wrote: “No way you just commented something so rude like that.” This situation has prompted quite a debate online regarding parasocial relationships with influencers and the prevalence of body-shaming that occurs on social media. This is far from the first time that Madison Beer has been body-shamed. In fact, the influencer purportedly deleted a video after a commenter took issue with a video she made showing off her bikini body in May.

  • Madison Beer hits back at claims of “hiding” surgery from paparazzi – Dexerto

Madison Beer hits back at claims of “hiding” surgery from paparazzi MadsMoments, YouTube[jwplayer ksH6zuKH]Social media star and music artist Madison Beer was reportedly spotted outside of a cosmetic surgery clinic, with fans claiming she made attempts to hide from paparazzi — but the influencer has a different side of the story to tell. Madison Beer boasts a massive presence on social media, with over 19.5 million Instagram followers and 11 million on TikTok, not to mention her 1.9 million subscribers on YouTube, home for her original songs and music videos. However, internet stardom isn’t all sunshine and roses, with fans consistently calling out the singer for allegedly hiding purported lip fillers and other plastic surgery procedures. While Beer has called out these accusations before, she has recently come under fire in a huge way, with photos of the star surfacing that to show her standing outside of the Epione Cosmetic Dermatology Clinic in Beverly Hills, CA. Critics were quick to spread the photos and accused Beer of hiding from paparazzi in an attempt to purportedly lie to fans about receiving plastic surgery. https://twitter.com/trashbagwhores/status/1272654522654044172?s=20 Beer called out these accusations in a Tweet with a few photos of her own, claiming that she’d visited Epione for a consultation to remove a mole and was not hiding, but was instead waiting on her car to arrive. “I was there for a consultation to get a mole removed, (which I shouldn’t even need to clarify ‘cause it’s my business),” Beer explained. “I wasn’t ‘hiding.’ I was waiting for my car and walked out normally, but these pics go ignored. I’ve gotten death threats because of this situation. See the issue?” https://twitter.com/madisonbeer/status/1275493686818697216?s=20 While Epione’s website claims it does offer services like acne scar removal and mole removal, the clinic also touts such procedures as liposuction and lip enhancement, among other cosmetic treatments. Despite the constant callouts from critics, Beer went on to state that she would continue to focus on her music, calling for an end to bullying in a follow-up Tweet. As previously mentioned, this is far from the first time the singer has hit back at such claims, even popping off on critics during an emotional TikTok livestream in late May. https://www.instagram.com/p/CAtCGekHnou/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link While the accusations aren’t showing signs of slowing down, Beer’s attitude toward the subject hasn’t changed, with the star intent on focusing on her own work and spreading positivity in wake of the drama.

  • Madison Beer bashes cancel culture for not treating influencers like humans – Dexerto

Madison Beer bashes cancel culture for not treating influencers like humans Instagram, @madisonbeer / Pexels, Eric YeichTikTok star, singer and just overall influencer Madison Beer has delivered a nuanced rebuttal against cancel culture, claiming that the behavior prevents constructive criticism and doesn’t treat celebrities like humans. Cancel culture has many proponents and many critics. Among the latter group, Madison Beer is a surprise addition. Typically, denizens of the internet expect cancel culture’s opponents to represent the groups that are most subject to cancelation — namely those who represent majorities and hold anti-progressive views. Beer, a 21-year-old woman, doesn’t neatly fit into those stereotypes but, nevertheless, she has posted a firm Instagram story bashing the tenets of cancel culture and, instead, vaguely promoting the values of empathy and compassion. People in the public eye have been subject to cancelation in recent years as progressive values push social media to enact its own version of accountability. Influencers have, unsurprisingly, not been spared and Beer has some criticisms for how that accountability is enforced. Beer essentially breaks her sentiments into three main points. First, she argues that “celebrities, influencers or anyone of the sort are, for some reason, deemed not as human as everyone else.” Following on, she contends that the assumption that people’s “favorite celeb, artist or influencer is perfect” is a “pure societal error.” The conclusion of this point is that cancel culture is flawed because it unfairly criticizes people, who have been raised “on a pedestal,” for their “human mistakes.” So, in her eyes, the initial problem is that celebrities are held to too high of a standard. https://www.instagram.com/p/CIq6TfuF0hl/ Beer’s second point, or “second layer,” is that the mechanisms of cancel culture prevent meaningful, solution-oriented discourse. By receiving “thousands of tweets telling you to kill yourself,” critics crowd a space that could, instead, be filled with “real productive conversation or resolutions or lessons.” While she agrees that there should be “100% accountability and consequences,” the influencer argues that, “in most cases,” cancel culture simply equates to bullying someone with a platform. Some remain unconvinced by Beer’s message, with one user offering a simple rebuke: “Why is she talking? She has pretty-girl privilege.” Which leads directly into the influencer’s third point, that “kindness, compassion and empathy are really cool” and that “people should just practice these simple things a bit more.” While we won’t dive into the structural integrity of Beer’s argument, it’s clear that the young social media star is thinking deeply about the relationship between influencer and the influenced.

  • Madison Beer explains why she isn’t actually leaving “hateful” TikTok – Dexerto

Madison Beer explains why she isn’t actually leaving “hateful” TikTok Madison Beer, YouTubeMusic artist and social media celeb Madison Beer shocked fans by announcing an unexpected hiatus from TikTok, calling the app “hateful” and citing issues with body shaming comments — but it doesn’t seem like her break is as permanent as viewers first believed. Aside from her musical career, Madison Beer is also a popular presence on social media, boasting over seven million followers on TikTok and over 17 million on Instagram due to her unique look and viral videos. However, it seems that Beer has grown tired of TikTok, as evidenced by a slew of comments the star made on the application that revealed her struggles with the platform’s negative outlook on female creators’ bodies. Related – The Secrets to CouRage and Nadeshot’s Success “This might be my last TikTok for a bit, my loves,” the “Stained Glass” singer began. “The energy on this app is draining me. So much hate and negativity. It’s all I see these days.” “I’m tired of seeing a girl dance on my fyp, only to go to the comments and see people making fun of her body or something,” she continued. “It hurts me. So much.” https://www.instagram.com/p/B_VaJ2knLv0/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link Despite the severity of her comments, it doesn’t seem that Beer’s hiatus from the app will be as long as fans feared, with the star returning on Instagram Live with a message clarifying her stance on the subject. According to the singer, she didn’t mean she was officially “done” with the platform in her posts, instead explaining that she merely needed to take a short breather from the “negativity” on the app. “I made a statement saying that I was going to be done with TikTok, and that I’m going off TikTok, and that’s not necessarily true,” she clarified. “I basically just said that I think I need to take a break from posting, maybe. I don’t really know what my point was from my post.” https://www.instagram.com/p/B_bUeBWnfL_/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link Beer isn’t the only creator speaking out against body shaming on the site, by far; in fact, TikTok’s most-followed star, Charli D’Amelio, addressed hateful comments just a day later in a series of pointed Tweets. “STOP TALKING ABOUT MY BODY!” the star Tweeted. “It’s not your place to tell me if I’m losing weight or gaining weight.” STOP TALKING ABOUT MY BODY! it’s not your place to tell me if i’m losing weight or gaining weight— charli (@charlidamelio) April 27, 2020 With other names like Dixie D’Amelio and even Addison Rae also fighting against body shaming on TikTok, Beer’s comments mark just another instance of content creators getting frustrated with negativity on the viral video app.

  • Madison Beer allegedly deletes bikini video over backlash for showing off body – Dexerto

Madison Beer allegedly deletes bikini video over backlash for showing off body Instagram: madisonbeerTikTok star and singer-songwriter Madison Beer ended up deleting a video showing off her bikini body after commenters hit back at her due to purported body image issues. Madison Beer is a fairly popular influencer and music artist, known for such songs as ‘BoySh*t’ and ‘Showed Me.’ Despite her large online following — boasting over 18 million followers on TikTok and over 36 million on Instagram — Beer is often an object of criticism for netizens and has come under fire multiple times in the past over a variety of issues. One of the most notable criticisms against her is that some fans believe she’s received plastic surgery and hasn’t been honest about the procedures she’s gotten — an issue she lashed out at in a heated Twitter thread back in 2021. Now, Beer is coming under scrutiny once again after deciding to show off her bikini body in a controversial video that she ultimately deleted. Madison Beer comes under fire for bikini video In the short clip, Beer sports a black bikini that highlights her abs and hourglass figure. However, it looks like the singer ended up deleting her video after receiving negative comments. One comment in particular seemed to take aim at Beer for promoting an unrealistic body image for her female fans. “And this is the reason as to why I and so many other women hate ourselves and our bodies!” one user allegedly responded to the video. “Madison Beer, do better! I know you are a good person! But you know that you have a lot of young girls comparing themselves to you! I thought you were better and different from this! SMH.” It looks as though both Beer’s video and the commenter’s post have been deleted from social media — but not before getting clipped and screenshotted, as told by YouTuber ‘Arcdelio.’ As previously mentioned, this isn’t the first time Beer has come under fire for her looks. In 2020, the singer claimed she’d gotten lip fillers when she was younger in a pointed video after being accused of lying about undergoing plastic surgery.

  • Madison Beer apologizes after controversy over her favorite book – Dexerto

Madison Beer apologizes after controversy over her favorite book American musician and social media star Madison Beer has apologized for “romanticizing” a controversial book that depicts a relationship between a middle-aged man and a 12-year-old girl. During an Instagram Live session on June 16, Beer was asked what her favorite book was, and she revealed that it was Vladimir Nabokov’s Lolita, first published in 1955 to much criticism due to its themes and suggestive motifs. While it has come to be considered somewhat of an academic classic, many people obviously took offense to the star saying that she “romanticizes the book,” defending it in a series of now-deleted tweets. In the ensuing drama, Madison Beer herself was trending on Twitter, including the hashtag #MadisonBeerIsOverParty, which seems to have become a common hashtag for stars that social media users wish to ‘cancel.’ After a while, though, Madison appeared to see error in what she had said and how she had spoken about Lolita, and came out with an apology. After revealing her favorite book, a fan responded saying “please tell me you don’t romanticize Lolita,” to which Beer said “I definitely do, but we’re not going to talk about that.” thread of Madison Beer’s tweets tonight of her defending herself saying she romanticizes a book about pedophilia since she’s deleted the tweets pic.twitter.com/1cXS66o5yl — des ミ☆ (@hauntediivy) June 16, 2020 In a series of now-deleted tweets (which can be seen in the Twitter thread above), Beer confirmed that she has always loved Lolita because it’s so controversial, telling an important story from a different point of view, adding that it’s “just a book.” This, though, didn’t seem to impress some people, who demanded Madison realize why “romanticizing” Lolita isn’t acceptable. By the evening of June 16, Madison released a statement on Twitter saying that she was “too flippant” with her responses during the Instagram Live session, saying that she should revisit Lolita to “read it through a new lens.” While some still weren’t satisfied with her apology, many fans thanked her for realizing why they felt what she said was wrong. Madison may think twice before responding to such questions in the future, even for something as simple as her favorite book.

Madison Beer addresses FaZe Kaysan dating rumors on Kai Cenat stream Twitch: Kai Cenat / Instagram: Madison Beer / Twitter: FaZe KaysanSinger-songwriter turned streamer Madison Beer finally addressed rumors about possibly dating FaZe Kaysan during a joint broadcast with Twitch star Kai Cenat. Madison Beer is a budding music artist and social media star, boasting over 18 million followers on TikTok and 36 million on Instagram, respectively. Although she’s got a fairly prominent online following, she didn’t delve into streaming until recently, going live on Twitch in her first-ever broadcast on June 8 — where she admitted that she’s a pretty big fan of xQc. Since then, her chat has been overrun with ‘down bad’ fans and viewers trying to get her attention… but it looked, for a moment, as though she was already spoken for. Madison Beer sparks dating rumors with FaZe Kaysan after flirty photo On June 17, fans couldn’t help but take notice of a particular photo Beer took with DJ and gamer FaZe Kaysan — one in which she was sitting on his lap. Netizens quickly became convinced that these two stars were seeing each other on the down-low, but Beer says that couldn’t be further from the truth. Madison Beer shuts down FaZe Kaysan dating rumors Beer was confronted with her relationship with FaZe Kaysan during a recent stream with Twitch star Kai Cenat. “You and Kaysan are friends,” Kai said during their chat. “How did y’all meet?” “Kaysan and I have been friends forever,” she answered. “He’s actually, genuinely been my homie for so long. I’ve known him for, I wanna say, five years.” “Really?” Kai replied. “Dang. He’s my friend, too. …he told me about you. The last time we were in Vegas, he told me about you. He’s a good f*ckin’ dude.” “He’s a good dude,” Beer agreed. “He’s only the homie, though, and he will stay there. The bestie.” It’s clear that Madison and Kaysan are just friends, and are happy to keep things that way. Both influencers have made it clear in several tweets that they’re happy with their friendship — and no, no one has been ‘friend zoned.’ In fact, Beer claimed that their viral photo together was actually taken back in 2018-2019 and was simply reposted by Kaysan to celebrate their friendship. Although Beer has mostly focused on music in the past, it looks like her foray into the streaming world is already paying off in a major way, connecting her with some of the net’s biggest stars… although we’re not sure if a stream with xQc is in the cards, now that he’s moved to Kick.

  • Madison Beer admits she’s a big xQc fan in her first ever Twitch stream – Dexerto

Madison Beer admits she’s a big xQc fan in her first ever Twitch stream Twitch: madisonbeer/xQcIn her debut Twitch stream, singer Madison Beer was fielding questions from her chat while trying to get to grips with livestreaming when she was asked about the other streamers she watches or has watched, and was full of kind words for Felix ‘xQc’ Lengyel. Madison Beer is best known as a pop artist, kicking off her career by posting cover songs on YouTube, which were discovered and shared by Justin Bieber, helping to kickstart her success. Since then, she’s regularly popped up across social media, doing far more than just her music, including a lot of TikTok content in the past. Now, she’s taking to the livestreaming world, starting her Twitch channel and going live to speak to fans in a more informal setting. Madison Beer “loves” xQc streams When asked about the streamers she watches or likes, Madison Beer came up with one name that immediately got his fans talking: xQc. “I think xQc is really funny,” she said. “I love watching his streams … I don’t know, I just think xQc is funny.” She also got visibly excited when someone said that “xQc is in,” thinking they might mean that the Canadian Twitch star is actually watching her stream. Immediately, xQc’s fans started sharing the clip far and wide, proudly proclaiming that Madison Beer is a juicer in one of the more unlikely crossovers you’ll see on Twitch this year. xQc can’t believe Madison Beer watches his streams: “Is this AI?” It wasn’t long until xQc caught wind of Beer’s comments about him, but it looks like he couldn’t believe the singer was actually a fan of his. He reacted to the news during one of his own streams, where he accused her of being “AI” at first. “Okay, chat, is that an AI stream?” he asked. “It is! It’s real? Well, that’s really nice.” He also joked with his fans that they should clean up any controversial statements he may have made in the past… seemingly in an attempt to look a bit better to Madison Beer. This wouldn’t be the first time he’s conscripted his fanbase to hit up a celebrity, notably sliding into rapper Ice Spice’s DMs earlier this year.

Madi Monroe is a popular TikToker with over 17 million fans, who is known for hanging around other social media stars like Avani Gregg and Charli D’Amelio. However, her friendship with Charli is coming under question after she made a tweet that seemed to call out the most-followed TikToker’s low-key relationship with Chase Hudson. “Lol you’re so fake,” Madi wrote. “You cried to me about him but kissed him on New Year’s.” For those out of the loop, fans are convinced that Charli D’Amelio and Chase Hudson are secretly dating. The duo became a popular item in early 2020 before breaking up in a dramatic and highly-publicized split shortly thereafter. Since then, the two have been seen hanging out together and often appear in each other’s online content, with Charli notably starring in Chase’s ‘America’s Sweetheart’ music video. Charli has not responded at the time of writing, with Chase’s Instagram unfollow being the only potential reply they’ve gotten, thus far.

Madison Beer addresses “cringey” controversy over Ariana Grande music video YouTube: Zach Sang Show, Ariana GrandeMadison Beer has addressed the “cringey” controversy around her supposedly canceled appearance in Ariana Grande’s ‘Thank u Next’ music video. Back in 2020, influencer and singer Madison Beer received a massive amount of backlash after claiming that she was supposed to be in Ariana Grande’s music video for her song ‘Thank u Next.’ “I hate saying this, because everyone on Twitter is like, ‘You’re lying, I hate you.’ I was supposed to be in the video,” Beer said during a fan meetup. “When they were filming it, I was in Miami. She told me the whole concept and was like, ‘Yeah, we’re doing this Mean Girls thing.’ And I was in my bedroom in Miami and I was like, ‘Fly back to LA right now!’” The video went viral on social media, sparking criticism from fans of Grande who were convinced that Beer was lying about her supposed appearance in the video — which also includes cameos from YouTuber Colleen Ballinger, influencer Gabi DeMartino, and even Kris Jenner. Madison Beer admits Ariana Grande video claim was “cringey” However, Beer has now addressed the issue about three years later, admitting that the incident was “cringey” but claiming that she really was invited to be part of the project. “I was!” she explained in a recent interview on the Zach Sang Show. “I didn’t even mean to bring it up, my brain was just like, ‘Say it.’ That whole situation, I can laugh about it now, but people were so mean to me about that.” “Listen, the way that I said it was cringe, for sure,” she admitted. “The way that it came out of my mouth was f*cking cringey. But I was just talking to some of my fans and I don’t know… it was f*cking cringe.” “I will get on the hate train with you. But, I would never lie about something like that. That’s what upset me the most. …why would I lie publicly when I know people are filming me?” Madison then claimed that she had the receipts, but felt that showing them off would have made an already “cringey” situation even more embarrassing. Beer has often been compared to Ariana Grande, with fans calling her a “wannabe” in the past — something she’s pushed back on and continues to battle against years later.

Over the last few years, TikTok has been the premiere place for musicians to promote their music with many of them having their lives changed due to going viral on the app. Lil Nas X went viral with his “yee-haw challenge” to promote his hit single “Old Town Road,” and Gayle became the creator of one of the popular songs of 2021 with her song “abcdefu.” During a recent Audacy Check In, Macklemore revealed what motivated him to begin using TikTok to promote his music. Macklemore reveals why he uses TikTok During the interview with host Mike Adam, Macklemore revealed that he feels that his competitive nature makes him think he’s always got something to prove, and he feels like an “underdog” coming back into the music industry as an independent artist. “Whenever I drop music, the landscape has changed, the landscape is very different from what it was five years ago. Streaming has changed, the playlist thing has changed, and TikTok is something that you have to use in order to get your music out into the world,” he explained. “Social stuff is one part of it. The most important part is the art…I’m competitive with everything, and I think that if you don’t have an underdog spirit you get left behind, and I’ve always had that.” (Topic starts at 5:50 in the video) After stating that feeling like an underdog is the reason why he’s using platforms like TikTok to promote his music, Mike went on to ask Macklemore about his future career goals. “Five million TikTok followers,” he replied. “I just love that number and I’m going to get there.” The singer recently came back to TikTok after a short hiatus in early 2022 but has continued uploading videos consistently since he returned. We’ll have to wait for him to reach five million followers, however, as he’s still over four million shy of that goal.

Maddie Ziegler of Dance Moms revealed her mom apologized for past trauma Former Dance Moms athlete and TikTok star, Maddie Ziegler, divulged her experience while on the hit show and opened up about the trauma her mom would eventually apologize for. It’s no surprise that Maddie Ziegler, who used to participate in the show Dance Moms when she was 7 years old, has feelings about how the popular series shaped who she is. Not only that, but she’s also expressed how her mother, Melissa Ziegler-Gisoni, added to the trauma of her experience. Since exiting the show in 2016, Maddie has experienced panic attacks, saying, “Things were coming up from the past.” Maddie Ziegler explained how her mom apologized for putting her on ‘Dance Moms’ On the ‘High Low with EmRata’ podcast, Maddie expressed many behind-the-scenes experiences she had on the show that prompted this trauma. As the “lead” dancer of Dance Moms, both Maddie’s spirit and physicality were put to the test at a very young age. She also explained how, when she was put in a room alone with those on set, she wouldn’t know how to answer them when they asked her to say she was the best, as she was less than 13 years old while participating in the show. Now, as a 20-year-old, Maddie has experienced anxiety that resulted in her calling her mom to talk about her time on Dance Moms and how it’s affected her throughout all the years. To her surprise, Maddie’s mom apologized, saying, “I’m so sorry that I put you through that.” After Maddie performed in singer SIA’s Chandelier music video in 2014, she explained how the well-known personality tried to help her exit her contract with Dance Moms in addition to her own mom, Melissa, trying everything she could to get Maddie out of her television dancing requirements. Although the workload and verbal communication from Dance Moms coach, Abby Lee Miller, was fairly abusive, Maddie knew that her own mom, Melissa, wasn’t the one to blame, saying, “She would never want to hurt us. None of us knew how crazy it would get.” Maddie may have had to lead her team to victory for six seasons, but has grown since leaving the show. Though she experienced trauma from the Dance Moms, she explained how grateful she is for the series, saying, “It’s helped me with so many opportunities.” As stated before, Maddie is tied to the singer SIA. Though Maddie has worked with her on multiple projects, SIA was highly criticized for portraying Maddie as autistic in her movie, ‘Music’. Here’s the latest news on how fans took to the casting.

The user zoomed in on several images of MGK at a show with the kill switch in the down position, and demonstrated on the same guitar that this renders the instrument silent. “I’m not making any definitive claims here but it certainly seems like he doesn’t use it for much other than muting his guitar while he plays,” Gunnar added. • Machine Gun Kelly buys Logan Paul’s mansion for $7.5 million – Dexerto

Machine Gun Kelly buys Logan Paul’s mansion for $7.5 million YouTube: Logan Paul, Ryan Serhant, WIREDMusic artist Machine Gun Kelly has officially purchased YouTube star Logan Paul’s California mansion for a whopping $7.5 million price point. YouTuber star, NFT connoisseur, and boxer Logan Paul has seen a major shift in his career as an online entertainer over the past few years. As such, he’s seen fit to relocate from his home in Encino, California to the sprawling, sunny beaches of Puerto Rico — a decision that was met with some contention at the time. The star broke the news of his relocation in early 2021, and his home back in the continental U.S. has been sitting on the market ever since… at least, until now. On April 29, 2022, it was reported that Machine Gun Kelly had purchased Paul’s mansion for $7.5 million. That’s a bit more than Paul paid for it back in 2017 ($6.6 million), but less than his reported asking price of $9 million. That being said, MGK is getting some sweet amenities, like an in-ground pool, a wine cellar, and a podcast studio. (Paul has since made his IMPAULSIVE podcast mobile, travelling to the likes of Iceland to host an episode with Thor ‘The Mountain’ Bjornsson.) The house boasts seven bedrooms and seven bathrooms, along with an additional eight smaller bathrooms throughout. It’s reported that MGK made the purchase after moving out from a shared house with bandmates to live with fiancé Megan Fox, although it’s unclear if she was involved in the transaction. Paul has officially said goodbye to his roots in Los Angeles and is now living in a mansion that’s worth a reported $10 million. It’s likely a welcome change for the star, whose Encino home was broken into a number of times during his stay there. Paul has yet to comment on the purchase at the time of writing — probably because he’s busy training up for a potential fight against Paddy Pimblett amid reports of returning to combat sports this summer.

I got rings on dude, that shit is gonna hurt. And if I punch you, obviously I’m gonna want to punch the fuck outta you. I’m gonna feel bad, you’re front row singing all the words. I don’t know… it’s a lose-lose for me. I don’t know if I’m gonna do it. I’ll consider,” MGK said. • Macaiyla calls out “toxic” Twitch fans obsessing over streamers – Dexerto

Macaiyla calls out “toxic” Twitch fans obsessing over streamers Twitch: MacaiylaTwitch streamer Macaiyla has called out “toxic” fans who fixate on and obsess over their favorite streamers. Macaiyla has been in the livestreaming game for a long time, and even helps manage others, so it’s fair to say she’s probably seen the best and worst of the streaming world. On August 4, she posted a series of tweets, warning fans that streamers “are not your friends” and to stop “presuming things about them.” “I see it for Tyler, I see it for LS, I see it for all my friends,” she said, referring to League of Legends streamers Tyler1 and LS. “You don’t know them personally so f**k off.” After not tweeting for a couple of days, Macaiyla returned in the early hours of August 7 with a longer statement clarifying what she meant, explaining that she “didn’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings.” “The point of this tweet was to point out that obsessing and presuming things about streamers (in a toxic manner) is not okay,” she explained. “This was towards the people who comment on things that they do not know about a creator, since they don’t have any relationship.” At the end of the statement, she said: “You sit and type as if you know me or the situation (which you don’t) hence why this tweet was even made to begin with. That’s all… I just hate reading hate comments or tweets on people presuming sh*t for likes and comments and karma.” Calling the actions of these fans “stupid as f**k,” Macaiyla has clearly had an issue with this for some time and is finally calling out the toxicity. Obviously, the boundaries between streamers and their fans can sometimes be blurred, especially since they give so much of themselves while broadcasting — but it’s worth remembering there’s a limit, and that viewing someone’s stream doesn’t necessarily make you a friend.

  • M0xyy’s Wrecking Ball shows perfect way to clutch a capture point – Dexerto

M0xyy’s Wrecking Ball shows perfect way to clutch a capture point Blizzard EntertainmentWrecking Ball aka Hammond is one of the most frustrating Overwatch heroes to play against due to his high mobility and durability. With someone as skilled as m0xyy behind the wheel of the hamster ball, magic happens such as this clutch play on Lijang Tower. M0xyy has had success in Minecraft Monday, winning with former Overwatch League main tank Félix ‘xQc’ Langyel. It would seem like some of xQc’s skill has rubbed off on the streamer as he showed how dominant he can be in the tank role himself. During a September 23 stream, the tank player found himself in a rough situation on Lijang Tower. With the enemy team at 91% and his team in struggling to hold onto the objective, losing control could make a proper regroup for a recontest impossible due to staggered spawns. While m0xyy’s penultimate fight is messy with both sides fragging out, the streamer’s team is suffering greater loses and are forced to invest Sound Barrier and Coalescence for sustain. Even m0xyy himself was kicking himself for not investing his Minefield ultimate once he died after being hooked and focused by a Roadhog. “I didn’t mine because I…” the panicky Twitch streamer struggled to say. “Oh my God, I didn’t know we had ults.” After respawning, m0xyy went on a mission to keep the point alive with a super fast rollout that involved grappling onto a building near the spawn and with a sharp turn made it back onto the point in mere seconds. If m0xyy had been any slower, the point would have flipped and it would have been unlikely his team would have emerged victorious. Once on the point, he activated Minefield killing the enemy Moira, scored a grapple environmental kill onto the enemy Roadhog and landed a piledriver on an enemy Ana before finishing her off with primary fire. Before the enemy Doomfist could get back on to keep his team’s chances alive, m0xyy’s team had 100% of the point and the match was won due to some insanely clutch plays which involved literally all of Wrecking Ball’s abilities. One of the most things about Overwatch is how a match is never over until it’s over and comebacks are incredibly frequent. From the brink of defeat, one clutch play can turn a game on its head. M0xyy’s game-winning play is a perfect example of this and one of the reasons he’s aiming to be ranked #1 on the North American ladder.

  • Tyler1’s girlfriend Macaiyla gets attacked by mic while streaming – Dexerto

Tyler1’s girlfriend Macaiyla gets attacked by mic while streaming Macaiyla, TwitchPlenty of League of Legends streamer Tyler ‘Tyler1‘ Steinkamp’s girlfriend Macaiyla seems to be a magnet to issues with her mic stand in recent times. Macaiyla was innocently speaking to her Twitch chat about global twitch extensions on her September 3 stream, after it was revealed that she hadn’t used them at all yet. Just as the popular variety streamer began explaining herself, her microphone stand sprung into action, swiping just past her face and shocking her into silence. As the stand banged to the floor, Macaiyla’s video cut from her stunned face to an error image from Twitch. After returning her stream and replacing all the fallen pieces, the frustrated Twitch star explained why she had been having problems with the flailing stand recently. “This mic is hooked up to this rod, which is hooked up to there (the edge of the desk),” she said. “This does not stay, I don’t know why but it just doesn’t lock. It just goes back up.” Hilariously, as soon as she touched the mic in her demonstration video it dipped down and was knocked out of place again, sparking her back into a short rage. After yelling about her less-than par streaming equipment for a moment, she returned to chatting to her followers and playing games. Unluckily for Macaiyla, the first instance of her stand attacking her wasn’t the only time she was going to struggle with it. As she played through the horror game Silver Chains, the stand attempted to snap up again. This time she caught it, and seemed to have averted the crisis. Read more: TSM Myth roasts Hamlinz’s height – Then, seconds later, it snapped back up again, hitting her on the face for a second time and sending her stream back to the Twitch error code it had coughed up the first time. Considering she’s now 0-2 against the mic stand, and maybe 1-2 if you’re generous about her stopping the spring-loaded pole during her horror-game stream, it’s probably high time for Macaiyla to invest in some new equipment. Unfortunately for her, it’s possible her boyfriend Tyler1 can’t afford a wedding ring, so she may have to buy a working stand out of her own pocket instead.

  • m0E Responds to Birdman’s Video About Ninja and Drake “He’s trying to bash someone’s career” – Dexerto

m0E Responds to Birdman’s Video About Ninja and Drake “He’s trying to bash someone’s career” Twitch streamer Mohamad “m0E” Assad has jumped to the defence of fellow streamer Ninja after a YouTuber made various accusations, including claiming that Ninja said Drake ‘used him’. A clip from Ninja’s stream recently garnered significant attention on social media, in which Ninja appeared to suggest that Drake had chosen to play Fortnite with him to ‘tap into another source of viewers.’ YouTuber Birdman shared the clip and mocked Ninja saying: “Ninja thinks Drake used him LOL”, and later made a full YouTube video on the situation. Birdman’s video mocks Ninja’s supposed claim of Drake using him and highlights the disparity in general fame and popularity between Ninja and the rap superstar. However, not everyone saw the clip from Ninja’s stream the same way. Many have spoken up in defense of Ninja after the clip went viral, suggesting that Birdman is twisting Ninja’s words. m0E, a Twitch streamer and YouTuber, has made a full response video saying that Birdman is misleading and purposefully trying to “bash” Ninja’s career for no apparent reason. “I wanted to talk about this video because I feel it is misleading in a couple different ways. I wanted to call [Birdman] out on what he’s doing because he’s trying to really bash someone’s career for no apparent reason.” m0E firstly highlights that Birdman selectively chopped up the clip from Ninja’s stream in an attempt to skew the presentation, making it seem as though he had taken some time before ‘back-pedalling’ on his words. m0E also highlights that Birdman’s use of Twitter/Instagram followers as a measure of general popularity is flawed, as Ninja beats tops the list of social media interactions globally. Beating out the likes of even Cristiano Ronaldo, Drake does not even appear in the top 10 for previous months. Finally, m0E addresses Birdman’s accusation that Ninja is taking money from children through his streams. “Who’s making money off [kids]? Guess who – Fortnite’s making the money, not Ninja. Ninja’s making money off advertisers, that are paying Twitch, that in turn pay Ninja. And if you are talking about subscribers, he’s not stealing money from subscribers – they’re paying for something they want.” m0E goes into much more detail in his full video, which you can view below, including various statistics about Ninja’s growth and clarification of his comments on Drake.

  • m0xyy returns to Twitch just one day after his reported permanent ban – Dexerto

m0xyy returns to Twitch just one day after his reported permanent ban Twitter: m0xyy / TwitchNovember 14 update (9pm ET): m0xyy has been unbanned on Twitch just 24 hours after his reported permanent ban over DMCA strikes. Twitch and m0xyy are yet to make a statement on the ban. Original story continues below. Earlier: Twitch star ‘m0xyy’ has reportedly been permanently banned from Twitch on November 13 over DMCA strikes. He had over 500,000 followers at the time of his ban. M0xyy rose up the streaming ranks in 2018, catapulting from a handful of viewers to over 1,000 concurrents in the space of six months. It was in part due to his collaborations with Felix ‘xQc’ Lengyel, who was also on his rise to the top of Twitch after being kicked from the Overwatch League. However, it appears that m0xyy’s entire career on the platform — spanning back to 2015 — has been pulled from underneath him. The Twitch star has reportedly been permanently banned from the platform as of November 13. ❌ Twitch Partner “”m0xyy”” has been banned! ❌https://t.co/2ndVhgz1cl#twitch #ban #firstban #partner #twitchpartner 🇦🇮 — StreamerBans (@StreamerBans) November 13, 2020 The reason why m0xyy was banned is reportedly over DMCA claims. Record labels have been targeting Twitch with an influx of complaints over streamers using licensed music. M0xyy himself stated he was struck twice and was at risk of a permanent suspension on November 11. “I’ve been DMCA’d twice in one week and I believe [the] next one will be a permanent ban. I’m going to be deleting all my clips and VODs, hopefully all will be done in [the] next couple of days. Save them if you want while you still can before it’s too late,” he said on Twitter. Holy shit, I’ve been DMCA’d twice in one week and I believe next one will be a permanent ban. I’m going to be deleting all my clips and vods hopefully all will be done in next couple of days. Save them if you want while you still can before its too late. — moxy (@m0xyOW) November 11, 2020 However, it appears that he wasn’t able to take them off the platform in time, and as such has been banned permanently. There is hope for m0xyy to return to Twitch though. On November 5, League of Legends star Joedat ‘Voyboy’ Esfahani was banned ‘permanently’ over his account getting DMCA striked. The situation was cleared up days later though, and he was unbanned on November 9. Twitch themselves have been unable to cope with the large influx of DMCA claims. “We were as surprised by the number of music-related DMCA takedowns as you were. Before May, we received fewer than 50 per year. Now, we’re receiving thousands each week,” the company said on November 11. Your frustration and confusion with recent music-related copyright issues is completely justified. Things can–and should–be better for creators than they have been recently. The next few tweets will outline our plan for being better partners to creators. https://t.co/Ebk1rFlBOM pic.twitter.com/fiFitaZgD5 — Twitch (@Twitch) November 11, 2020 Twitch has vowed to implement “more sophisticated and user-friendly tools” to help take down infringing content. These are yet to be pushed live. We will update you more on m0xyy’s situation as more information arises.

  • m0E Apologizes Following Twitch Ban for Using Banned Word – Dexerto

m0E Apologizes Following Twitch Ban for Using Banned Word After receiving a lengthy ban from Twitch, streamer Mohamad “m0E” Assad has apologized for using a homophobic word, after previously defending his use of it. m0E became a popular streamer on Twitch during and after his retirement from a career in professional CS:GO, and has built up a significant viewer base on the site, with over 600,000 followers. But his streams were not for the faint hearted, as he was notorious for rage filled broadcasts and strong language, something that perhaps contributed to his growth. However, It also contributed to large sections of the Twitch and Counter-Strike community specifically. feeling less than positive about m0E, who hasn’t exactly helped his case with numerous scandals over the years. His latest debacle became toxic fast, after his initial attempt at apologizing for his use of the homophobic word came off more as a defense than an apology. He was subsequently banned ‘indefinitely’ (this was later set at 30 days) for using the word frequently again on stream, while saying “It’s not a bad word, it’s one of my favorite words of all time. m0E essentially claimed that his use of the word was not meant in the homophobic sense, but rather akin to calling someone stupid. But, a few days after news of his ban, m0E has now made a more formal apology on Twitter, making clear his intentions and meaning were not homophobic at I want to say sorry for anyone i offended with the word i used. My intent was never hate filled. If you know me at all you would know that homophobia is one word that has never been associated with me before. I promise from now on to hold myself to a higher standard. — mOE (@m0E_tv) July 3, 2018 The ban on m0E’s channel comes at the same time as other top streamers have also been hit with punishments as Twitch attempts to enforce its rules around hateful conduct more strictly. Another popular streamer, Destiny, was also banned for using offensive language, and is considering the move permanently to YouTube, rather than return to Twitch when it is lifted. m0E’s ban remains for 30 days on the platform, after which it will be full reinstated.

  • Lyft driver goes crazy at passenger in viral clip after claiming he has a flat tire – Dexerto

Lyft driver goes crazy at passenger in viral clip after claiming he has a flat tire TIKTOK: rickywilliams303A Lyft driver went viral on TikTok as he allegedly pretended to have a flat tire to avoid driving his passenger. Ricky Williams posted a video showing his Lyft driver telling the passenger he “better get out” of his car, and stating that his ride would be canceled. The TikToker noted that upon seeing him, the driver suddenly said that he couldn’t give him a ride because his car had a flat tire. He also told Ricky to “get the f**k away from” his vehicle, and threatened to call the police on the rider. “You must be crazy to stand in front of somebody’s car,” the driver said in the clip, which has amassed 1.5 million views. “I’m not your Lyft driver no more.” When Ricky asked what he meant by that, the man continued yelling at him as he got back in his car. He drove away ultimately, despite claiming that his tire was flat. “Throwback to when my Lyft driver saw me come outside and all of a sudden had a ‘flat’ tire,” a text overlay on the TikTok read. “Man I just wanted a ride home,” Ricky wrote in a caption for the video. In the comments, many users were happy the TikToker didn’t drive with the man, as he did not seem safe to be around. “Honestly I’m glad you are safe. It doesn’t feel like it would have been safe to stay in his car,” one user said. “You don’t wanna ride with him anyway please don’t,” another agreed. “I’m sorry but I wouldn’t even attempt to get into his car after he got out,” a third wrote. Others suspected that the Lyft driver’s reluctance had to do with the fact that Ricky’s a Black man. “In this day and age is f**king wild. Sorry, you went through that,” one commented. “Racial discrimination smh,” another shared. “How are you racist working a public serving job that isn’t race inclusive,” a third added. This is just the latest ride-hailing-related moment to go viral on TikTok, after a passenger got kicked out of her Uber when her boyfriend canceled her ride mid-trip.

LuluLuvely & Pokimane blast viewers who “shame” Twitch streamers’ relationships Twitch: LuluLuvelyTwitch streamer LuluLuvely has slammed male viewers for “shaming” her relationship. Lulu pointed out that “women in gaming” are often objectified while insisting “incels” won’t invade her “happiness.” Twitch has been at the center of criticism surrounding women’s safety for quite some time. Their decision to ban words like “incel” prompted eye-rolls from non-male streamers, who said they could do more to “prevent pile-ons and insults towards women.” Female streamer Sweet Anita has routinely called out creepy fans as well. The UK-based content creator told HuffPost that “they do this to me… no matter what I do or how I dress.” Even OfflineTV star Pokimane has been outspoken about harassment within the industry. Now, LuluLovely has raised even more concerns about the treatment given to female creators. LuluLuvely is the latest streamer to complain about male fans On July 25, the Apex Legends streamer spoke candidly about her experience as a woman on Twitch. In the Tweet, she stated that “it’s actually disgusting that women… are shamed for being in a relationship.” She claimed that viewers see her as an “object” while her male counterparts are “praised.” Lulu received a wave of support from her fellow female gamers, who were seemingly able to relate to her story. “I lost a lot of support when I announced that Jake and I were dating,” streamer Electra said. • LuluLuvely, Pokimane & more Twitch streamers call out men sexualizing them on Reddit – Dexerto

LuluLuvely, Pokimane & more Twitch streamers call out men sexualizing them on Reddit Twitch: LuluLuvelyPopular Twitch streamer LuluLuvely has called out the gross Reddit forums that make demeaning and inappropriate comments, images and videos about her, as well as other female streamers, saying it makes her uncomfortable. Although all streamers, big and small, can often face bullying and harassment, female streamers are often targeted in particular, as streaming remains a male-dominated space – especially when looking at the most popular broadcasters. Lulu, primarily an Apex Legends streamer, has struggled with hate and harassment in the past, even forcing her to take breaks from streaming entirely. Now, she has called out just one of the ways that viewers, mostly men, will target female streamers by spreading inappropriate sexualized posts about them on Reddit. Many other female streamers confirmed that they were aware of the same happening to them. LuluLuvely calls out gross Reddit posts On April 21, LuluLuvely posted a series of quotes, indicative of what women are often advised to avoid such targeted harassment, such as “Just wear normal clothes and men won’t overly sexualize you,” and, “If you cover up on stream they will treat you better.” Accompanying the post were four screenshots, showing Reddit posts about Lulu with images and titles like “she has some a*s” and “if anyone wants to jerk/talk about lulu dm me.” “Just wear normal clothes and men won’t overly sexualize you” “If you cover up on stream they will treat you better” “Just don’t act a certain way and the men will respect you online” The men- pic.twitter.com/1QER7pv1Nn — Lulu (@LuluLuvely) April 21, 2022 Lulu explained, “This used to not bother me but recently it’s really been weighing on me. I just feel so uncomfortable on stream knowing that there are men doing this while watching. “And I’m so tired of purposely wearing baggy clothes only to still have men clip me walking out of the room.” Her post prompted responses from many other female streamers. QTCinderella highlighted that Reddit will rarely, if ever, remove these subreddits, despite requests. Nope 🙃 we’ve tried multiple times to get them taken down but apparently they don’t break any rules — Lulu (@LuluLuvely) April 21, 2022 Twitch streamer Adept also highlighted the plague of fake images or videos which are fabricated to look like female streamers, and the effect this harassment had on her own life too. They literally photoshop nudes of girl streamers and share them amongst each other and Reddit still says nothings wrong 🤡 The worst part is it makes you not want to even express your sexuality on your own time because of it too, at least that’s how it was for me— adept. (@adeptthebest) April 21, 2022 Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys – the most-followed female streamer on Twitch – called the issue “rampant” on Reddit, and that they are ignored by moderators on the site. this issue is so rampant on reddit, and it’s really frustrating that they refuse to listen to the very people that are being sexualized in gross threads/subreddits. — pokimane (@pokimanelol) April 21, 2022 Reddit does have rules in its content policy about targeted harassment and mentions directly posting sexual media about individuals, but it’s not clear how or if these rules are directly breached by the content made about female streamers. In fact, “Rule 1” of the content policy states “Remember the human. Reddit is a place for creating community and belonging, not for attacking marginalized or vulnerable groups of people.” It is also difficult for Twitch itself to do anything in this scenario, as the content is made separate from Twitch services.

  • Luke Combs “fooled” by viral lookalike at his own concert – Dexerto

Luke Combs “fooled” by viral lookalike at his own concert YouTube: Luke Combs/TikTok: m.chael.antonioCountry star Luke Combs couldn’t believe what he was seeing when he came across a viral video of someone that looked exactly like himself hanging out in the stands at his own concert during Lainey Wilson’s set. Luke Combs is one of the hottest artists in the world right now, leading the way for country music alongside the likes of Morgan Wallen, Zach Bryan, and more. In June, a video started doing the rounds on TikTok and across other social media platforms that appeared to show Luke Combs with a friend, finding their seats as Lainey Wilson took to the stage as his support act in St Louis. Those standing around them looked on, stunned as they think they’re standing right by the star just before he took to the stage. He had the same build and beard as Combs, as well as the famous cap and shirt that the singer is very often seen wearing at his concerts, making him instantly recognizable. As the fans around him couldn’t contain their excitement, celebrating, clapping, and patting him on the back as he descended the stairs, many believed that Combs was really hanging out in the regular seated area of the concert alongside everyone else. Of course, though, it wasn’t actually Combs, who clearly caught wind of the video on August 9 and posted about it on Twitter. “Fooled me!” he said, laughing and joking about the lookalike, evidently believing the resemblance is particularly uncanny. At the time of writing, Luke Combs is embarking on his tour of Australia and New Zealand, before heading over to Europe to see out the end of the tour. Needless to say, if you see any more lookalikes sitting with spectators at the concerts, you shouldn’t get too excited without confirming their true identity.

  • LuluLuvely confirms return to Twitch streaming as fans worried about her – Dexerto

LuluLuvely confirms return to Twitch streaming as fans worried about her Twitch: LuluLuvelyTwitch streamer LuluLuvely has reassured fans that she will make her return to content creation on Sunday, June 27, after a prolonged break. Fans were concerned for her after speaking about being overwhelmed by hate, and suddenly ending her last stream. LuluLuvely is best known in the Apex Legends community, and is fast approaching 1 million followers on Twitch. However, in early June, she suddenly ended her stream in concerning circumstances, mentioning that constant hate from even the minority of viewers had made her want to kill herself. Fans were seriously worried about the streamer, and posted messages of support on social media, reminding her how valued she was as part of the community. LuluLuvely posted a couple of messages on Twitter to reassure fans and friends, first thanking people for their messages, but said she was not sure when she would be back. Hi. I just wanted to make a post to say thank you for all the kind words and messages. I don’t know when I’ll be back streaming just yet, maybe next weekend I’m not sure. Just wanted to update everyone. — Lulu (@LuluLuvely) June 16, 2021 On June 24, Lulu revealed that she had taken a trip to Mexico to help clear her mind and have a “therapy vacation I desperately needed.” “I’m excited to be back on Sunday. This was a much-needed break from everything and a good detox from social media. Feeling recharged and revitalized.” I’m excited to be back on Sunday. • Ludwig’s Offbrand expands with signing of Jerma and ex-Beyond the Summit team – Dexerto

Ludwig’s Offbrand expands with signing of Jerma and ex-Beyond the Summit team Twitter: LudwigOffbrand is expanding its horizons with the new signing of streaming star Jerma and members of the now-defunct esports tournament organizer Beyond the Summit (BTS). Offbrand, a creative agency co-founded by Ludwig and his friends, was made in an effort to not only help other content creators organize their events, buts also to solidify Ludwig’s career post-streaming, is only growing stronger in 2023. In an effort to expand the company’s sights, Offbrand has bolstered its team with a whole host of new signings and even a new vertical. Streaming fan favorite Jeremy “Jerma” Elbertson and members of the new defunct esports tournament organizer BTS have been signed on to Offbrand in various roles. It was announced that Jerma will be taking the position of Chief Creative Officer in Offbrand. The signing does not mean he will be stopping streaming, however. As Ludwig explained in a Mogul Mail video talking about the expansion, his signing means that now if creators hire Offbrand to organize an event, creators can now work with him on ideas. Ludwig explained the signing in the Mogul Mail video saying, “We came to the same conclusion that we like making cool s***, but we don’t always need to create cool s*** and release it through our own streams and YouTube channels, we can work with other people.” In addition to Jerma’s signing is the arrival of several key members of the now-shuttered esports event organizer BTS. Namely the signing of David “LD” Gorman and Daniel Najarian. The two will operate a separate vertical called Offbrand Productions which will be staffed by former BTS employees, and will operate out of the former BTS studios. Offbrand and BTS have worked on many events in the past, from Ludwig’s Chessboxing event, to the Ludwig x Tarik Invitational. And no doubt they will be working with Ludwig on future iterations of the Ludwig Ahgren Championship Series tournaments for Smash Bros.

  • Luke Combs responds after fan hit with $250,000 copyright strike – Dexerto

Luke Combs responds after fan hit with $250,000 copyright strike Flickr: Jeff AmannA fan was hit with a $250,000 copyright strike over tumblers sold on Amazon, and country star Luke Combs responded with a heartfelt TikTok video. Nicol Harness has congestive heart failure, and her only source of income is selling items on Amazon. She recently bought Luke Combs artwork online and put those images on tumblers to sell. She sold 18 at $20 a pop, totaling $380. She was soon slapped with a $250,000 copyright strike on her Amazon account, and a lawsuit was allegedly filed by Luke Combs. The judge in the case ordered all defendants, including Harness, to repay the amount directly to Combs. However, it appears it was all a scam, as the country singer was unaware of the incident. Luke Combs responds to the lawsuit with heartfelt TikTok video Luke Combs took to TikTok to apologize to Harness and offer compensation. “I spent the last two hours trying to make this right, trying to figure out what’s going on,” he began. “I was completely and utterly unaware of this.” Combs’ manager reached out to news station WFLA to clarify the details of the matter. “That makes me absolutely sick to my stomach,” he said, adding that he was able to speak with Harness on December 13. “I can’t imagine being in her shoes,” he continued. “She told me there was $5,500 locked up in her Amazon account. I’m going to double that and send her $11,000 today just so she doesn’t have anything to worry about. She was never supposed to be involved in anything like this.” Combs went on to say he’s going to make his own tumbler “that’s going up today,” he said. “All that money is going to go to Nicol and her family to try to help with her medical bills. Hopefully, that can help her out.” “Money is the last thing on my mind. I can promise you that,” he added. He also said he will invite Nicol out to a show so he can “give her a hug and say sorry in person.” For more entertainment news, keep it locked to Dexerto.

  • Ludwig’s attempt at teaching Sykkuno Madden proves disastrous – Dexerto

Ludwig’s attempt at teaching Sykkuno Madden proves disastrous Twitch: Ludwig, Sykkuno / EA SPORTSLudwig Ahgren attempted to teach fellow Twitch phenom Sykkuno how to play Madden NFL 22 in a hilariously mistake-filled stream, leaving Ludwig mindblown at some of the plays being made. Football is officially back, with the first weekend of the 2022 NFL season out of the way and the launch of Madden 22 still very recent. While America tuned in, there are still some fans-in-waiting that just haven’t got their chance to really dig into the sport or, indeed, the game. Ludwig, ever the educational streamer, decided to give Sykkuno a helping hand and teach him the ins and outs of the game, and it went hysterically wrong throughout. While Ludwig’s New England Patriots got off to a rocky start with a one-point loss to the Miami Dolphins, his efforts in trying to teach Sykkuno — someone who knows next to nothing about football — were similarly unsuccessful. While Sykkuno’s grasp on the general rules of football are ropey, his Madden gameplay was a source of great joy for both his opponent and viewers alike. Throughout the match, in which Sykkuno takes Ludwig’s beloved Pats from him, he frequently fails to figure out which way he should be running, begging Ludwig to make his players stop chasing the ball, and even couldn’t fully understand what happened when he scored his first touchdown. It only makes matters funnier when Ludwig can’t believe what’s happening, baffled by Sykkuno’s incredible QB reads and a fantastic interception leaving him speechless. Of course, Ludwig won despite some heroic last-gasp efforts from Sykkuno. Whether we see Sykkuno back on Madden any time soon though remains to be seen.

  • Ludwig’s fan-made mosaic rivals Reddit’s Place as internet’s best work of art – Dexerto

Ludwig’s fan-made mosaic rivals Reddit’s Place as internet’s best work of art YouTube streaming star Ludwig has revealed the completed mosaic made collectively by his fans in less than 24 hours that will be his channel banner for a whole year. One pixel at a time, fans of the popular 27-year-old streamer banded together to complete a mosaic that will be featured as his channel banner on YouTube for the next year. Inspired by Reddit’s r/place, a blank canvas where users can place one pixel of color every few minutes, Ludwig’s our/place as named by his fans went on for a full 24 hours, where YouTuber’s community worked together to build designs paying tribute to his various projects over the years. Fans managed to work together and build designs inspired by memorable moments he’s made while live streaming. Ludwig’s podcast logo, as well as the Mogul Money logo were among the many drawings built. I let my stream draw whatever they wanted for 24 hours… the ending is amazing pic.twitter.com/doL3NPs5NU — ludwig (@LudwigAhgren) August 12, 2022 Invading trolls attempted to destroy designs built by Ludwig’s viewers by painting new pixels over them. However, the community managed to hold their own, and in the end, the finished mosaic features everything from country flags, to various memes and characters from games, TV shows and movies. Fans even managed to draw Ludwig’s new kitten coots on the mosaic, and of course, they also had their fun trolling the streamer by drawing the Twitch logo – referencing his move from the platform after signing an exclusive deal with YouTube last year. Contributors also paid their respects to Minecraft YouTube Technoblade — who passed away from cancer in June — by building the YouTuber’s famous in-game skin and diamond sword. The final product is certainly a work of art, and for the next year will be seen constantly on Ludwig’s YouTube, featuring as the channel’s banner.

  • Ludwig sets ‘world record’ for fastest YouTube ban in just 90 seconds – Dexerto

Ludwig sets ‘world record’ for fastest YouTube ban in just 90 seconds YouTube: LudwigLudwig was a man on a mission during his latest YouTube stream. With one goal in mind, he worked fast to secure a rapid ban on the platform, having his broadcast hit offline in just 90 seconds. Ludwig is one of the biggest personalities on YouTube today. Having signed an exclusive deal with the Google-owned platform in 2021, he’s been nothing but supportive ever since, even advocating for many others to follow in his footsteps. But although he believes YouTube streaming will overtake Twitch in the near future, that hasn’t stopped him from toeing the line during his own broadcasts. In fact, his latest stream saw him going against the platform’s policies in a direct effort to get himself banned. After a few minutes strategizing with fans watching along live, Ludwig was ready to go. Starting the clock, he immediately rushed to open two pieces of content in hopes of getting his channel flagged with YouTube’s administrators. One video he played in the background was the Naruto opening theme. The other was simply the first result that came up in his feed when searching for soccer highlights. Clips from a Juventus vs Salernitana match played over his stream to thousands of fans and before long, they resulted in an abrupt conclusion. Just 91 seconds into the ‘speedrun’ and his live broadcast was taken down. Initially, a simple message flashed on screen alerting fans that the stream was “suspended for policy violations.” Hours later, upon trying to reopen the VOD, however, we can see for certain the stream was taken down due to copyright infringement. “This video contains content from FA Premier League and Serie A, one or more of whom have blocked it on copyright grounds,” Ludwig’s stream replay now reads. In North America, it appears the games are exclusive to the Paramount+ platform, meaning any redistribution on YouTube is prohibited. Thus, Ludwig broadcasting this content for thousands to see at no extra cost is in clear violation of the platform’s rules. Nonetheless, the streaming star appeared happy with his efforts when all was said and done. Gloating on Twitter shortly after, Ludwig claimed he set the “world record for the fastest ban on YouTube” with his 91-second attempt. It’s hardly the first time Ludwig has been banned on YouTube though — in fact, he was banned within days of moving to the platform back in December 2021 for copyright reasons, and has been taken offline a couple of times since.

  • Ludwig & xQc promise to repay Twitch fans “scammed” by Sliker over gambling – Dexerto

Ludwig & xQc promise to repay Twitch fans “scammed” by Sliker over gambling Twitch: ItsSliker / Twitch: xQcAfter Twitch streamer ‘Sliker’ came forward with his gambling addiction — and his hundreds of thousands of dollars of debt “scammed” from viewers — stars Ludwig Ahgren and Felix ‘xQc’ Lengyel have promised to repay fans who lost money. The estimated debt total is around $300,000. Sliker shocked the streaming community on September 18 when he came forward and admitted to “scamming” viewers out of hundreds of thousands of dollars to facilitate his gambling addiction. While the star claimed he “never intended in scamming anyone” and would eventually pay back his debts, it has started new discourse on gambling’s place in streaming. Before all that though, some of the internet’s biggest stars want to make sure fans get their money back one way or another. That’s what caused Twitch’s biggest name in xQc to pair with YouTube star Ludwig Ahgren to try and repay the debts. The French-Canadian Twitch star — who has gambled himself on stream multiple times, and was approached by Sliker to loan some money — called the situation “heartbreaking” and pledged to help repay the $300,000 lost alongside Ludwig. “We are aware about this Sliker situation and the victis who were scammed out of their hard earned money,” xQc tweeted on September 18. “Me and Ludwig will be trying our best to get money back to those people. This is about the victims, only them.” Ludwig echoed xQc’s sentiment while also adding onto calls for the Amazon-owned platform to ban gambling streams on their platform: “It’s time Twitch does something.” In the aftermath of Sliker coming forward about his gambling addiction, thousands have told their stories on social media. The hashtag #TwitchStopGambling has been trending as viewers recount the thousands of dollars they’ve lost after being influenced by the platform’s stars. Other Twitch stars like Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys have also spoken out to try and force change. xQc added while the majority of the community’s focus was on Sliker’s actions, there needs to be attention drawn to the “victims” of the incident. “Stop making this about [Sliker]. Some of these people were wronged and need those funds to survive. We only have the victims in mind. Those people are part of our tight communities and we won’t fail them. “Some of the stories are terrible. There’s no way we were going to sit there and watch.” xQc and Ludwig estimate repaying all the debts will “take some time”, but the duo vow to make right by all. As for Sliker, he admits he will “get help” for his gambling addiction from here.

  • Ludwig warns Twitch streamers like xQc watching shows & movies could be “catastrophic” – Dexerto

Ludwig warns Twitch streamers like xQc watching shows & movies could be “catastrophic” YouTube: Ludwig / Twitch: xQcOWYouTuber Ludwig called out Twitch channels watching television shows and movies live in front of viewers. According to the 26-year-old, streamers like xQc, Karl Jacobs, and Mizkif are entering “dangerous territory” that could come crashing down on them. The MasterChef meta has dominated Twitch at the start of 2022. The trend revolves around streamers watching popular television shows and movies live with their thousands of followers. According to YouTuber Ludwig Ahgren, however, it’s only a matter of time before the meta implodes. The Mogul Money creator explained to viewers why the streaming industry needs a “course correction” now before it’s too late. Ludwig calls out Twitch streamers watching TV shows Ludwig addressed the popular Twitch meta sweeping the platform during his January 1 2022 upload. “Recently there has been a swath of people on Twitch just outright watching TV shows,” he said. “The biggest creator xQc does this quite often with MasterChef. It’s f**king crazy. They are just straight up watching TV shows on Twitch!” The YouTuber then explained why he felt the meta was a ticking time bomb. “The purpose of this video is not to expose these streamers in the hopes that a company takes them down. It’s more so because I think things have gotten out of hand. And I think we might need a bit of a course correction before this all comes crashing down.” Ahgren then pointed out that the meta was expanding rapidly. “Disguised Toast is just straight up watching Naruto. This morning I watched Myth watch Yu-Gi-Oh. Over a million people tuned in to watch Karl Jacobs watch Total Drama Island. And Rich Campbell watching Lord of the Rings on stream. Mizkif with like 41,000 viewers watched Home Alone!” he said. “This is some pretty dangerous territory we are in!” Ludwig said unlike past DMCA issues with music, streamers can’t really argue they are “adding” artistic value by just straight up watching a movie. The YouTuber then clarified that he doesn’t personally want the meta to stop, but that he believes it’s bad for the industry. “I think this is a problem that is going to bite the asses of not only the people doing it, but it’s going to bite everyone’s ass on Twitch if streamers don’t chill. A lot of the people watching TV shows and movies are not even deleting their VODs. They are getting a little too complacent. They are getting a little too risky. And I think the outcome isn’t just these people getting slaps on the wrists. It could be way more catastrophic.” Ahgren then gave one last warning to streamers like Felix ‘xQc‘ Lengyel and argued that Twitch would “back down” and not stand up for them if any of these mega-corporations decided to go all-in on copyright strikes. Only time will tell how the whole MasterChef meta shakes up but according to Ludwig, channels should be deleting their VODs immediately if they plan to participate in it.

  • Ludwig hits out at scammers scalping tickets for his Mogul Money event – Dexerto

Ludwig hits out at scammers scalping tickets for his Mogul Money event YouTube: Mogul MailTickets for Ludwig ‘Ludwig’ Ahgren’s Mogul Money event have been selling out fast. However, the YouTuber has warned fans to avoid buying any from scalpers who have been charging extortionate rates for them. Ludwig has produced various wild and creative events throughout his career to keep his fans entertained. One of his biggest hits on Twitch is his Jeopardy-inspired game show Mogul Money. Although it only ran for one season back in 2021, Ludwig revealed that he would be holding another Mogul Money event and, this time, fans would be able to watch it in person. However, it didn’t take long for scammers to jump on the opportunity and buy the tickets in bulk before reselling them for eye-watering rates. Ludwig warns against Mogul Money ticket scams In a tweet posted on May 8, Ludwig begged his fans not to buy “resellers’ tickets” for his live Mogul Mail event at the SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles on July 2. He assured fans not to panic buy for fear of losing out on attending the show as if the tickets do “sell out” he will “make more.” Ludwig also shared a screenshot from the official ticket page which showed that two tickets for the event were being resold for $4,200.69. An extortionate rate compared to the regular certified tickets which are on sale for $54.50. HELLO IM VERY EXCITED AND NERVOUS FOR MOGUL MONEY LIVE BUT PLEASE DONT BUY RESELLERS TICKETS ITS A SCAMAZ IDC IF ITS VIP NG+ BS BUY NORMAL SEATS AND IF WE SELLOUT ILL MAKE MORESCALPERS EAT MY SHIT pic.twitter.com/Of4T5JM8th — ludwig (@LudwigAhgren) May 8, 2022 According to the 26-year-old, some fans have already paid mind-blowing amounts to get their hands on resale tickets. For example, Ludwig claimed: “Someone spent $800 which is also crazy.” Scalping has become an ever-growing crisis in recent times with scammers buying tickets or items for their regular rate in bulk before reselling them for shocking amounts to make a sizeable profit. Even Pokémon cards aren’t safe from the scheme. Given how Ludwig has shared this will be his final Mogul Money event, it’s no surprise that tickets have been selling out quickly. However, fans shouldn’t panic as there are still regular tickets on sale here, as of writing.

  • Ludwig, Valkyrae, Banks & more unhappy after Elon Musk changes Twitter verification – Dexerto

Ludwig, Valkyrae, Banks & more unhappy after Elon Musk changes Twitter verification YouTube: 100 Thieves, Ludwig / Instagram: banksInfluencers aren’t happy with Elon Musk’s recent changes to Twitter’s verification system, with names like Ludwig, Valkyrae, and even FaZe Banks speaking out against the adjustments. Tesla CEO Elon Musk is now the official owner of Twitter — and things are getting off to a rocky start. Most notable among Musk’s changes to the popular social media platform is a massive shift in how ‘verification’ works. Previously, users would have to apply for verification, which would give them a blue checkmark denoting them as the legitimate owner of their account. This was generally reserved for public figures, companies, journalists, and the like — but with Musk’s new system in place, any user can purchase verification for $8 a month starting November 9 via Twitter Blue. The Twitter Blue verification system did, however, denote whether or not users had purchased their checkmark or had been verified beforehand as an “official” account, but Musk quickly rolled back that decision. That being said, many previously verified users are finding their ‘verified’ tab is now filled with new Twitter Blue subscribers and not their previously verified ‘mutuals.’ Influencers speak out against Elon Musk’s new Twitter verification changes Influencers are at the forefront of these changes, which have sparked some dissent among top streamers and content creators. YouTube star Ludwig was one of those to speak out against Twitter’s verification tweaks. “I realize the only reason I liked the checkmark was because the verification tab acted like a mutuals tab,” he wrote. “Getting big likes is cool and all, but as a dude who plays video games in his basement most of the time, it’s nice to keep up relationships with friends I know.” Fellow streamer Valkyrae also expressed some confusion on the new verification changes, asking “Why [are] there a bunch of anime pfp accounts saying ‘Hey lol’ in my verified tab?!” Even FaZe Banks spoke out on the matter, expressing some distaste at feeling as though his previously verified status doesn’t hold as much weight in light of the new Twitter Blue system. “I’m not exactly sure what sparked your distaste for the OG blue check mark, but for some of us, it represented some level of achievement/ validation,” he said in response to Elon Musk. “Feels a little participation trophy-esque. I was told I was a loser / moron for playing video games and tweeting so much. This helped.” For now, it’s clear that a lot of influencers aren’t happy with Musk’s changes to Twitter as the platform continues to evolve under its new ownership. These are just the latest big names to speak against Twitter’s verification system after Doja Cat asked Elon Musk to change her name back when she called herself ‘Christmas’ in celebration of the holidays.

  • Ludwig wants to “fight” New Zealanders in Geoguesser after mistake goes viral on Reddit – Dexerto

Ludwig wants to “fight” New Zealanders in Geoguesser after mistake goes viral on Reddit The Yard (YouTube)YouTuber Ludwig Ahgren said he wants to “fight” New Zealanders after a clip of him playing Geoguesser — and butchering town names — went viral on the country’s subreddit. Even before Ludwig gained popularity thanks to his month-long subathon in March 2021, the creator has enjoyed playing Geoguesser with the help of his viewers in chat. On May 27, a two-year-old clip of Ahgren butchering the names of various towns was posted on the r/NewZealand subreddit, and users quickly took to the comments expressing their opinions on the clip. During a recent episode of The Yard podcast, Ludwig said he would “fight” New Zealanders in Geoguesser, explaining that he’s gotten significantly better at geography since the clip was recorded. Ludwig responds to viral New Zealand Reddit comments The comments on the original post are split between loving the clip and disliking it entirely, like user beiherhund who explained Ludwig is a great example of why he doesn’t like most streamers. He said: “I feel like this guy represents what I hate about streamers pretty well. Just the loud, obnoxious, pretend-dumb sort of persona. I’m sure he’s not quite like that in real life and is playing up to his audience but I just can’t watch people like this for long.” Just a week later, Ludwig responded to comments like this on an episode of The Yard, mentioning that he would “fight” the commentators bashing him for the clip. “I wanna do a f**king video where I go against all those f**ks in GeoGuesser because I would clown on those dumb**ses. I’m way better now, I know way more about the world. I think part of it is laughing at Americans for sucking at geography,” Ludwig explained. “I know now, and I’m a god. New Zealanders, I will fight you one on one in GeoGuesser.” (Topic starts at 34:55 in video) We’ll have to wait to see if the subreddit responds to Ludwig’s offer, maybe we’ll see that video uploaded to one of Ahgren’s many YouTube channels sooner rather than later. • Ludwig’s Twitch mods receive six-figure paycheck after 31-day subathon – Dexerto

Ludwig’s Twitch mods receive six-figure paycheck after 31-day subathon Twitch: LudwigTwitch sensation Ludwig Ahgren promised to pay his mods $5,000 a day to keep his chat clean (and entertained) across his 31-day subathon. However, the final payroll is a bit more than $155,000, with the streamer paying his staff almost $170,000 for the month-long gig. Paid Twitch mods are few and far between on the platform. Some streamers are vocal in paying their moderators, who clean up chat and run things behind the scenes every day. Some mods are an integral part of the community, almost as big as the streamer themselves. So when Ludwig needed to call on his team of 17 moderators to pull big shifts for the subathon, he splashed big cash to make it happen. He promised his moderators $5,000 a day — far more than what Ludwig was going to take home himself after donating most of his subathon earnings to charity, or paying taxes on it. That’s $155,000 split 17 ways, but Ludwig actually went a bit bigger. Moderator ‘slime’ confirmed as much, with the “mod payroll” for the 31 days reportedly totalling $167,000 USD. That’s almost $10,000 per Ludwig mod, on average — $9,823, to be precise. mod payroll for the subathon comes out to $167,000 lmao — taunt jet diaper (@slime_machine) April 14, 2021 Ludwig’s moderators did more than just look at chat and ban any trolls during his Twitch subathon. They entertained viewers after Ludwig went to bed in his little red racecar, playing party games between each other and with chat for hours. This payment could set a precedent for streamers who pull big hauls in the future. With Ludwig smashing through Ninja’s subscriber record during the subathon, bigger streamers might be on notice to follow in his steps and pay their own moderators. It doesn’t have to be as much as Ludwig’s $5k a day promise, but for the people who clean up chat as volunteers, it’s no chump change.

  • Ludwig unveils Mogul Munchies ice cream truck ahead of final Mogul Money event – Dexerto

Ludwig unveils Mogul Munchies ice cream truck ahead of final Mogul Money event YouTube: LudwigYouTube streamer Ludwig took to the beaches of Los Angeles in his own ice cream truck to promote the final Mogul Money live stream. Debuting back in 2021, Mogul Money became an instant hit game show for Ludwig Anders Ahgren. Featuring an array of guests such as Imane ‘Pokimane’ Any and Felix ‘xQc’ Lengyel, Mogul Money is set to end with a bang. Ludwig has revealed his own ice cream truck for the occasion to get the hype train rolling with full steam ahead. Ludwig promotes Mogul Money with “first free ice cream” truck Anyone can stick up some billboards and run some ads online but Ludwig had other ideas for Mogul Money. The former Twitch streamer arrived at the L.A beach in the “first free ice cream” truck in a bid to promote the final Mogul Money show. Playfully dubbed the “Mogul Munchies” truck, the only catch to claiming free ice cream? You’ll need to answer some random trivia questions first. Ludwig got the ball rolling with an easy question: “Who is the coolest superhero?” Of course, the right answer provided by a young boy is indeed “Spider-Man.” While many youngsters rolled up for their free treats, the streamer jokingly admitted he “can’t be mean to kids” despite that they “all were so wrong.” The ice cream promotion may have been difficult at first but Ludwig’s next move opened up a new challenge. Can you get a truck of this proportion through the In-N-Out Burger drive-thru? “It’s worth it for In-N-Out Burger,” added the streamer. Mogul Money will be streamed on July 2, 2022, at 7 PM PT/3 AM BST.

  • Ludwig gets Twitch logo tattoo after Valkyrae dare on charity stream – Dexerto

Ludwig gets Twitch logo tattoo after Valkyrae dare on charity stream YouTube: LudwigAfter Valkyrae’s big $15,000 donation during his recent ‘subathon’, Ludwig Ahgren was forced into getting a Twitch logo tattoo. Now it’s immortalized in history — on stream and on his body — as the YouTube star pulled through. During a charity stream, Ludwig promised to get a tattoo based on the suggestion of his top four donators. Among those top donators was fellow YouTube Gaming star Rachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter, who donated $15,000 for the worthy cause. She originally considered forcing him to get the YouTube logo — tasteful given their streaming allegiances — but quickly changed her mind to the Twitch logo. Ludwig created a poll which included three other options: “Coots”, “cracker”, and “Jerma Sus Face.” Coots is the name of his cat, who also made it into the tattoo. After Felix ‘xQc’ Lengyel’s interference, where he asked his viewers to go vote for the Twitch logo, Ludwig’s Twitch logo tattoo became set in stone. Ludwig shared the process thus far on his YouTube stream, where the title states “PLEASE DONT SUE ME SUSAN”. He then posted the stencil of the permanent tattoo on Twitter, which serves as a base sketch before the full coloring goes in. The final colored-in tattoo can be seen in the background on the music stand. “Getting the enemy tattooed on me live right now… don’t fire me, Susan,” he said in the post, referencing YouTube boss Susan Wojcicki. “Greatest 10k of my life,” popular content creator Hasan ‘Hasanabi’ Piker commented on the Twitter post. While he might be long gone from Twitch, the platform is now immortalized on Ludwig’s body — not just for the rest of his content creator days, but eternity.

  • Ludwig’s historic Twitch subathon finally ends after 31 days of non-stop streaming – Dexerto

Ludwig’s historic Twitch subathon finally ends after 31 days of non-stop streaming Twitch: LudwigLudwig Ahgren is free — 31 days after first starting his now-historic Twitch subathon, the streaming star is finally allowed to shut down his viral 24/7 live broadcast after hitting his “backup” day-limit cap. On March 14, Ludwig made an ambitious promise: He would keep his Twitch stream online for an extra 15 seconds every time a viewer subscribed to his channel or gifted a “bits” donation. The star’s ‘subathon’ very quickly went viral. At stages, Ludwig’s ever-present countdown timer hit heights of 60+ hours. At others, down to just a single second. And, like clockwork, every time it dipped, subscription surges would fire it back up all over again. It’s been a historic Twitch moment — one that’s written Ludwig into the history books as Twitch’s most subscribed streamer in the process. Now, a month later, the seemingly endless stream is finally over. All up, Ludwig raked in more than $1 million in subs — though he may walk away with less than 6% of that — and climbed to more than 2.6m followers. “I’ve never been so consistent with my working out. I slept eight hours a day, ate three meals a day,” he said as the timer ticked down. “It’s been really interesting, being so set in my life. It’s been crazy. We went from 32 million channel views to 72 million. That’s way more than double. Just blows my mind.” In the last seconds, Ludwig began tearing up. Over 220,000 tuned in for the final minutes of the stream. Ludwig mused, “I’m not going to lie… this [subathon] does feel like my apex.” “But I also just like streaming, so who gives a sh*t?” the Twitch star continued. “All downhill from here? Maybe! But there’s nothing wrong with that, at all.” It’s finally over 😢@LudwigAhgren’s historic Twitch subathon has come to a close after a 31 day live broadcast and more than 282,000 subs. pic.twitter.com/IPZ59dGD5g — Dexerto (@Dexerto) April 14, 2021 It has been quite a ride for Ludwig and his fans. Over the past 31 days, the Twitch superstar has basically streamed his whole life. He has been doing all his usual gaming, chatting, and watching VODs. On top of that, however, Ludwig has also been sleeping on stream (in a big red race car bed, which he later smashed in the broadcast’s final hours), hosting movies with his roommates, and working out for hours. Ahgren has even been showering — in shorts — on stream. There was a period where Ludwig even worried the stream may “last forever”. He was forced to put a hard 31-day cap on the subathon, and let loose his moderators with the banhammers on anyone that dropped more than 100 gifted subs. This even, hilariously, caught well-meaning stars like Dream. At the end of the subathon, Ahgren’s total subscriptions capped out at more than 282,000. That’s more than $1.6 million, before Twitch takes their cut. His sub haul is now the clear highest in Twitch history. Ludwig eventually cracked Ninja’s lofty all-time subscriber record — the Fortnite star boasted an incredible 269,154 subscribers before defecting to Mixer — as well as overtaking other huge Twitch stars like Ranboolive (114,387 just last month), Shroud (101,588 in 2019), and Summit1g (94,941 in 2020). “Bigger number, better person,” Ahgren tweeted after he became the platform’s most-subbed star. “This was my dream since when I first started streaming on Twitch three years ago. Thank you to all my fans.” Ninja also congratulated the newly-crowned Twitch king, writing on Twitter: “Records are meant to be broken. I would be lying if I said wasn’t a little sad, but congrats Ludwig on holding the new sub record on Twitch.” So now, the historic Twitch subathon run is finally over. Ludwig, who may finally get some much-needed off-stream rest, says he’s going to look back on his subathon fondly; it’s a little slice of Twitch history he’s carved out for himself. That said, he’s got “absolutely” no plans to do it again. “I think this was a cool, once-in-a-lifetime experience,” Ludwig said of the subathon. “[During the stream] I was excited every day to wake up, because it’s never going to happen to me again. Will I do it again? Definitely not.” Read More: Top 20 most followed Twitch streamers – Ludwig has confirmed he will now take another short break from streaming before returning to his usual, albeit fairly irregular, Twitch schedule.

  • Ludwig threatens to leave YouTube for Twitch if changes aren’t made – Dexerto

Ludwig threatens to leave YouTube for Twitch if changes aren’t made Mogul Mail/YouTubeAfter streaming with YouTube Gaming for over two years, Ludwig Ahgren has reflected on his experience with them and threatens to go back to Twitch unless changes are made. It’s been two years since Ludwig Ahgren shocked his viewers as he revealed he was leaving his Twitch to continue his livestreaming career on YouTube after getting an exclusive two-year deal with YouTube Gaming. The deal came to an end in November 2023, and fans have been wondering what’s next for the popular streamer. In a video published on December 4, Ludwig said he’d enjoyed working with YouTube Gaming. “I felt more appreciated by YouTube than I did by Twitch,” he said in a video. “They made me feel like a person. They made me feel seen. It felt like our goals were aligned. In Twitch, I felt like another cog in the machine. And it didn’t hurt that YouTube was also offering me more money.” Ludwig explains that in the process of moving over to YouTube, he realized that his goal from livestreaming isn’t to make the most money; it’s to get the most viewership, he said, which he gets from his YouTube streams. However, despite this, Ludwig focused the video on the possibility of him leaving YouTube and going back to Twitch. Ludwig threatens to leave YouTube to go back to Twitch Despite this, Ludwig revealed he’s not completely satisfied with YouTube, and is considering moving back to Twitch. “I have to admit there are some problems, and those problems, in the two years that I’ve been here, haven’t been addressed at the speed that I or other livestreamers would like,” he explained in his video. The main reasons he wants to leave, he said, are the time caps YouTube imposes on live streams and VODs. He explained that, at the moment, streams cannot run longer than 12 hours, and VODs over six hours can’t be edited. That means if something gets copyright struck in the middle of a video, they can’t edit the VOD to take that part out; they just have to delete the VOD altogether. “My concern is that YouTube doesn’t care about livestreaming,” he continued. “They care about something else that you’ll probably see on the home screen if you open up YouTube right now: YouTube Shorts.” Ludwig argues YouTube is focusing on TikTok as its biggest threat Ludwig went on to argue that TikTok is on its way to kill YouTube, which is why the platform is focusing on its Shorts features. Ludwig explained: “What isn’t a concern of theirs is the title ‘Twitch has killed YouTube,’ because that’ll never happen. I don’t think Twitch is entering the VOD space. I don’t think they’re trying to compete there. I think they’re just chilling in the livestream space […] and so they have almost like this handshake agreement, where Twitch is the massive shareholder. They have the majority viewership for all livestreaming. “And YouTube has been floating around, just doing their thing. They haven’t gone up too much, they haven’t gone down too much. Facebook’s on the down and down, Kick’s nowhere to be seen. And there’s no real need to rush into being a better product than Twitch. Or to beating Twitch. Because Twitch will never kill YouTube. TikTok will. That’s how it feels.” Some other things he wanted YouTube Gaming to change were: adding an offline chat, the ability to preview thumbnails, and the ability to reply to comments in the hat. He continued to say that he plans to give YouTube one more year. If he’s not happy with how YouTube is supporting its streamers at that point, he’ll look at going back to do streams on Twitch.

  • Ludwig swatted amid YouTube chess tournament, hits out at “inept” LA police – Dexerto

Ludwig swatted amid YouTube chess tournament, hits out at “inept” LA police YouTube: LudwigYouTube star Ludwig Ahgren was swatted during his August 28 chess tournament broadcast. Thankfully, everyone in his household is unscathed, with Ludwig more “annoyed” than “distraught” after police officers swept his property. Ludwig is the latest victim of a swatting incident after Los Angeles police stormed his house on August 29 and forced an abrupt end to his chess tournament. Multiple armed officers could be seen checking his streaming room before the YouTube broadcast was taken offline. Following up soon after to assure fans everything was ok, Ludwig appeared back in front of the camera to address the situation. Having been swatted “multiple times” in recent years, the popular YouTuber claimed he was completely “fine” after the latest encounter with police. “Everyone’s fine,” he said. “We’re fine, boys. If you missed the end of the last stream, you might not know the stream ended abruptly. As I went upstairs to refill my water, I was met with the gun of a police officer.” For roughly an hour Ludwig sat in the back of a police car while they “went through [his] house” room by room. This is allegedly standard protocol and something he’s experienced before without bringing much attention to it. “As you can see, I’m not too shaken up,” he continued. “Maybe a little bit of adrenaline. Generally, I’m pretty fine. The initial part is kind of scary but then it’s quickly overwhelmed with a sense of annoyance. I’m just annoyed.” This frustration stems from his past experience with local law enforcement. Having been the victim of swatting on numerous occasions, he’s talked to various officers on how to avoid repeat incidents moving forward. “I do have to quickly talk about the ineptitude of the police departments in Los Angeles,” he said shortly after turning the stream back on. “I’ve been swatted a few times, this is generally how it goes: They take it very seriously at first. Eight squad cars, two firetrucks, one helicopter going around, because there’s some made up story” from the viewer that called it in. “Every time it’s happened to me before, they say ‘hey, give us a phone number and we’ll call you when it happens again.’ Because of that, I always have my phone on me when I stream. I’m prepared for a phone call. The problem is, they’ve never called. Every time they come, I get a little more annoyed.” Clearly, the police are just doing their jobs, but with repeated calls tied to the one household, Lud was hoping to avoid any further swatting incidents, wasting not only his time, but theirs too. On one occasion, police allegedly told the YouTube personality he should look into securing a “different job” to avoid such hassles. “That can’t be the solution,” he laughed.

  • Ludwig takes shot at “worst fan ever” who asked for his friend’s number – Dexerto

Ludwig takes shot at “worst fan ever” who asked for his friend’s number Streaming star Ludwig Ahgren has opened up about his worst ever encounter with a fan, as they awkwardly asked for his friend and fellow streamer Nemsko’s number. As the streaming industry continues to grow, streamers are becoming more familiar faces, meaning they often bump into fans in public. While sometimes meeting viewers in-person can be a wholesome and rewarding experience, from time to time it can be unpleasant, too. Being a well-known creator, you never truly know who’s out there watching you, and some fans will go to extreme lengths to grab their favorite creator’s attention. One recent example comes from YouTube streamer Valkyrae, who admitted that a fan flew to the 100 Thieves compound trying to find her. Now, Ludwig has opened up about his worst experience meeting a fan, who pushed the boundaries a bit too far by asking for his friend’s phone number. Ludwig reveals his “worst fan” interaction Throughout his time as a streamer, Ludwig has expressively talked about the dangers of viewers forming parasocial relationships with the person they’re watching. Though, even his occasional talks about viewers pushing boundaries didn’t prepare him for meeting the “worst fan ever.” In a video posted on July 14, Ahgren explained how a fan carelessly asked for his friend Nemsko’s number. “Someone runs up to me, and we’re also with Nemsko, the poker and chess player. They walk up to me, they b-line to me and I’m like oh they want a picture,” said Ludwig. “They go on their phone and they go take a picture of me and Nemsko. And so then I’m like alright, and I take it,” Ludwig explained. “Then he goes can I have your number to Nemsko, and immediately she’s like I have a boyfriend, no. “And then he comes to me right after that interaction and goes can I get a picture. I’m like no, that’s the worst thing I’ve ever seen and then he keeps going come on. I was like just do it and get out.” (If the YouTube clip below doesn’t work, you can watch here) This isn’t the first fan interaction that’s gone wrong for Ludwig either. During the last Mogul Money gameshow on July 2, the 27-year-old star explained to viewers how he encountered two “psycho fans” at the event. One of which slipped past security to get backstage, and the other climbed on the stage while intoxicated. As it seems, fans can be completely unpredictable, so make sure to stay vigilant and safe while in public if you’re a popular creator.

  • Ludwig stunned as xQc double-books ‘Juiced’ show premiere with Twitch Rivals – Dexerto

Ludwig stunned as xQc double-books ‘Juiced’ show premiere with Twitch Rivals YouTube: LudwigLudwig was left stunned after learning that xQc double-booked his ‘Juiced’ show premiere with a Twitch Rivals Gundam Evolution event. Ludwig revealed his very own creative agency on September 27, Offbrand, set to help other creators organize high-quality events like Mogul Money or QTCinderella’s The Streamer Awards. The agency’s first client is xQc, who is set to launch his Nickelodeon-inspired show ‘Juiced’ on September 30. He’s apparently double-booked the date, however, agreeing to play in a Twitch Rivals tournament as well as host the show, leaving Ludwig stunned at his decisions. Ludwig stunned after xQc double booked show premiere date During a recent stream, Ludwig’s jaw dropped after finding a tweet posted by Team Liquid member Mendo that lists his team for the upcoming Gundam Evolution’s Twitch Rivals event. Ludwig mentioned to the people he was talking to on Discord that they should look at the post, and the whole group mentioned that it’s on the same day as the premiere of ‘Juiced.’ Ahgren replied to Mendo’s tweet with a simple “…,” prompting the creator to respond: “He thinks he can do both but I have a replacement lined up just in case.” Ludwig replied again, hopeful that xQc will be able to do at least one of the events. “god bless if he does one of them,” he said. This isn’t the first time xQc has had issues with events recently, just last month he was under scrutiny for skipping out on Shitcamp 2022, claiming it was because Sodapoppin wasn’t attending. We’ll have to wait to see what happens with his September 30 events. In the meantime, head over to our entertainment area to check out more news.

  • Ludwig surprises best friend Slime with brand-new car for his birthday – Dexerto

Ludwig surprises best friend Slime with brand-new car for his birthday Unsplash: Wassim Chouak / Twitch: LudwigLudwig Ahgren’s generosity truly knows no bounds, as the Twitch streamer gifted friend Anthony ‘Slime’ Bruno a brand-new Subaru for his 31st birthday. Ludwig has continued to produce top-quality content after finishing his legendary subathon, where he streamed for a total of 31 days and broke the record for most subscribers in Twitch history. In the aftermath, Ludwig was widely praised for donating most of the money he earned to charity and to his moderators, who kept his chat clean and well-informed throughout the feat. Slime also played his part, sometimes taking over the stream when Ludwig needed a break. Now, in celebration of Slime’s 31st birthday, Ludwig gave him a brand-new grey Subaru sports car, and he was left in absolute shock. On his April 30 Twitch stream, Ludwig took Slime on a tour to his garage, where he unveiled the slick new Subaru WRX STI, which has a mouth-watering top speed of 174 mph. Slime was almost speechless, and on the verge of tearing up. “Is this for real?” he asked. Read More: Ludwig stunned by Pokemon card values – Ludwig explained he had a nightmare trying to acquire the car in time for Slime’s birthday due to all the paperwork required. “Why can you go into Walmart and get a gun, but when you walk into a car dealership they say ‘sign here, sign there’?” he joked. Slime and Ludwig go way back as friends, having met at a Smash Melee tournament back in 2017. They went on to commentate on esports tournament Smash the Record later that year, and their chemistry was instantly evident. However, the fun could have been over before it even began, as Slime hadn’t used a stick gearbox for years and struggled to get the car out of the garage. Ludwig had to instruct him on how to put it into reverse. Fortunately, Slime was able to get the car out of the garage without a scratch. But one thing’s for sure: Ludwig will have a hell of a task on his hands to get a better present for him next year.

  • Ludwig still has years of streaming ahead despite already planning his exit – Dexerto

Ludwig still has years of streaming ahead despite already planning his exit YouTube: LudwigWhile Ludwig is already planning ahead for his eventual streaming retirement, the YouTube star has assured fans he still has at least a few years of live content left in him. From a historic 31-day Twitch subathon that kept thousands glued to their screens to his large-scale game show productions, there’s no denying Ludwig has consistently pushed the envelope as a streamer. Never looking to grow complacent is a large reason as to why the YouTube personality just launched his own company in Offbrand. This creative agency has been designed from the ground up to help other content creators elevate their content. In fact, plans are already in motion for Offbrand to launch xQc’s own game show called Juiced on September 30. For Ludwig, this move is essentially to keep one foot out the door as he eyes an exit from the lifestyle of a full-time streamer. And while countless fans still tune in daily, he believes his time in the spotlight is slowly drawing to an end so plans are already being put in place. “Basically I think there’s two ways it goes,” he began during a September 29 YouTube upload. In regards to the end of his chapter as a full-time streamer, he claimed one of two things is guaranteed. Either he “streams a little bit over what [his] welcome is, a little bit longer than maybe [he] should.” In doing so, fans inevitably lose interest, viewership “drops drastically” and before long, streaming no longer generates enough revenue to justify the effort. “That’s one path,” he explained, “and it’s not the prettiest end because [you] get a whole lot of sh** on the way down.” On the other side of the equation, option #2 is to simply “step away,” he continued. “Taking control of how you quit your job and having some plan for the future.” Evidently, Ludwig would much prefer the latter, being able to “go out with a bang” rather than gradually losing interest over time. Yet even with that in the back of his mind, Ludwig assured he’s still “gonna keep streaming for another few years” at the very least, so fans have nothing to be worried about in the near future. But even if that time does come and Ludwig decides to step away from the full-time, near-daily streaming grind, it appears he’ll still be keeping involved in the community through his new company. Ultimately, that’s why he made Offbrand, to help others on their journey when he feels he’s no longer best suited in front of the camera. “I know how to work with streamers because sometimes, I can be the annoying child that doesn’t show up on time,” he joked.

Ludwig stunned after MrBeast goes to extreme measures to get him in a video YouTube: Ludwig / MrBeastPopular streamer Ludwig Ahgren was floored when MrBeast revealed the insane lengths he would go to get him to appear in one of his upcoming videos. Quickly approaching the most subbed YouTuber of all time, Jimmy ‘MrBeast’ Donaldson has continued to make waves with his multi-million dollar produced videos. From giving away a tropical island to re-creating the entire set of Squid Game, nothing can come as much of a shock when it involves the 23-year-old anymore. Former Twitch streamer Ludwig was left in awe, however, when the popular philanthropist surprised him with a call during his March broadcast. Ahgren was stunned when MrBeast revealed that he was going to be hiring him a private jet for an upcoming project. MrBeast surprises Ludwig with a private jet The streamer was in the middle of a live broadcast when the popular YouTuber called him on his phone. MrBeast then asked Ludwig whether he would be free later in the week, before stunning the former Smash pro when he told him he was hiring a private jet. “Cancel your upcoming video. I’ll have a private jet pick you up Thursday night and fly you over here,” he said. “I need you for a video. I just need you Friday, all day Friday.” Floored, Ludwig replied, “You’ll ship me back home, right?” The YouTuber then confirmed that the private jet would immediately fly Ahgren back home afterward. “I”m counting on you. I’m going to bake you into the content. So if you back out, I don’t know what I’m going to do,” he said. When Ludwig said he needed an hour to confirm his schedule, Donaldson hilariously cut him off and exclaimed, “I already told my assistant to book the private jet. Just tell me what time to pick you up Thursday.” After hanging up with the popular YouTuber, the streamer admitted to viewers that he wasn’t prepared for the unexpected call. “No, I wasn’t prepared! I’m sweating, oh my God I’m like the Atlantic and the Pacific Ocean here. None of that was planned,” he said. At the time of writing it’s not clear what the upcoming collaboration will be between the two creators. But based on the insane lengths MrBeast was willing to go to get Ludwig in his video, we can only imagine how epic it will be.

Hilarious Ludwig fail shows why Twitch stars should think twice about stream-hopping Twitch: LudwigLudwig ‘Ludwig’ Ahgren accidentally spoiled QTCinderella’s surprise birthday gift when he tuned into her stream right when she happened to be shopping for it and discussing it with her fans. Ludwig and QTCinderella collaborated several times on Twitch before finally meeting in 2019. It was obvious they had chemistry right out of the gate. One thing led to another, and they went on to form a relationship, and the rest is history. They’ve produced some hilarious and memorable moments in their time together. However, it’s hard to top a recent incident where Ludwig accidentally spoiled the surprise birthday gift she was planning for him. QTCinderella was looking for a gift to get him for his birthday live on stream with a little help from her fans. But unfortunately for her, Ludwig happened to tune into her stream when it couldn’t be more obvious what she was doing. It didn’t take him long to realize what was going on, and he quickly left. But the damage was done. After some viewers told her what had happened, QTCinderella called Ludwig to hear it straight from the horse’s mouth. “What’s wrong with you? Why did you do that?” she said. “Why did I do what?” replied Ludwig, playing it cool. “I’m just casually shopping for your birthday present for tomorrow with my chat, and you just have to come and click on my stream,” she said. “Don’t pretend like you didn’t already see it.” Ludwig hilariously denied it, claiming he didn’t even know she went live and didn’t come into her channel to see what she was doing. But QTCinderella wasn’t having a bar of it. She pressed the matter and asked him why there were clips of it actually happening plastered all over the internet. All he could do was muster a dumbfounded expression.

  • Ludwig slams Twitch’s “boring as F” subathon trend he helped start – Dexerto

Ludwig slams Twitch’s “boring as F” subathon trend he helped start YouTube: Mogul MailYouTube star Ludwig ‘Ludwig’ Ahgren has hit out at the subathon trend that has taken over Twitch despite still holding the record for one of the most successful subathons of all time. Subathons have long been a controversial trend among the streaming community. While it helps bring in the funds for up-and-coming creators, some also go to extreme lengths to keep viewers watching. Creators can find themselves spending days in front of the camera, continuing to broadcast as long as the subs keep rolling in. As a result, streamers such as Pokimane and Sykkuno have criticized the “unhealthy” trend. One of the first streamers who helped popularize subathons was Ludwig who has since criticized the practice, saying it is “inherently boring.” Ludwig criticizes “boring” subathons On June 7, Ludwig discussed his “lukewarm” take on subathons in a video uploaded to his YouTube channel ‘Mogul Mail.’ One particularly pointed comment from the 26-year-old being that subathons are “boring as f**k.” To help highlight his point, he showed a pie chart detailing the content that made up his month-long stream back in April 2021. The chart revealed how he took up various activities during the event, including working out, watching a movie, and playing Valorant. However, the vast majority of his subathon was spent sleeping. Whereas, 21.5% was ‘Just Chatting’ and for 5% of the time he wasn’t even on camera. Ludwig added: “[A subathon] is just a human living their life. It’s more ‘Truman Show’ than content creator creating content worth consuming.” Ludwig still holds the record for the highest sub count on Twitch thanks to his hugely successful subathon back in April 2021 beating out the previous title-holder Ninja. However, despite his comments, Ludwig explained that he is planning to go ahead with yet another subathon in the future. Only this time, it will be “charity-based” and he’s been “mulling over ideas” to make his content more entertaining.

October 2, 2022, will be a day that millions of people around the world will remember for years to come. Eight years after creating his YouTube channel where he remained behind a mask, popular Minecraft content creator Dream revealed his face as over one million people watched. That’s not the only iconic thing to happen, however, as Ludwig and his viewers anxiously awaited for the reveal, the YouTube streamer broke his personal viewership record. Ludwig breaks personal viewership record During his watch party stream, Ludwig’s viewers asked him to check how many viewers he had at that moment. He explained that his most-watched live stream was Mogul Money Live, which took six months and roughly $750,000 to produce — and topped at 145,000 people watching. Ludwig opened his current stream stats to see the 150k+ people viewing his channel, breaking his previous record of 145k. “Are you f*cking kidding me,” Ludwig screamed after realizing his viewer count. While his watch party for Dream’s face reveal is now his most viewed stream, it’s unlikely that it stays that way very long. Ludwig plans to continue producing high-quality events for himself and others with his new creative agency: Offbrand. • Ludwig slams TikTok after bullied creator gets doxxed – Dexerto

Ludwig slams TikTok after bullied creator gets doxxed Tiktok / YouTube @LudwigLess than a week after posting a video about the “most bullied man on TikTok,” Ludwig is back with an update on the situation – while also slamming the video platform’s moderation policies. There are not many creators on TikTok who have reached the level of harassment we’ve seen ‘Bentellect’ receive recently. After first reporting on Ludwig’s initial video about reactions Ben has been receiving, things have apparently gotten worse for the creator. People have apparently found his house, and are now ‘stitching’ Bentellect’s videos, showing that they are in front of his home. Ludwig states that, since the videos of Ben’s house have been surfacing, his video comments have completely changed from vague threats to comments from users being on Bens side. Ludwig’s issue with TikTok As Ludwig stays at the start of the video: “F*** TikTok.” After explaining the harassment Bentellect has been dealing with, Ludwig goes on to explain how little TikTok has actually done to prevent Ben’s personal information from being posted on the platform. “The most f***ed up thing about this is the little action that TikTok has done,” Ludwig said in the video. He then explains that, even though doxxing is against the platform’s Terms of Service, the platform only removed the video, which was reposted on the same account shortly after it was removed. Ludwig then jokes that TikTok’s moderation team is, “A robot and 1 guy asleep at his desk.” Going on to show how messed up TikTok is by not addressing the serious issue Bentellect is facing, Ludwig shows a few of his videos that were taken down for “community guideline violations.” It’s clear that the platform’s moderation system is not being well received by critics, but the fact this is happening in the first place is nothing short of disheartening, marking yet another instance of unwarranted harassment against content creators.

  • Ludwig slams Twitch for “predatory” features after stream Boost announcement – Dexerto

Ludwig slams Twitch for “predatory” features after stream Boost announcement Twitch/Twitch: LudwigAfter Twitch’s recent paid stream boost announcement, Ludwig slammed them for releasing “predatory” features despite noting his love for the platform. The Amazon-owned platform recently announced viewers will soon be able to pay money to boost their favorite streamer’s channel to the “recommended” section of the front page. The news quickly spread around social media and became widely criticized by creators and viewers alike. In a video highlighting his thoughts on the feature, Ludwig moved to criticize Twitch for constantly releasing features that only seem to benefit bigger creators with large communities. Ludwig Slams Twitch He said: “I love Twitch. I feel like I’m very critical of them, but I wanna make it clear I love the platform. It’s the main vehicle I use to consume content, but they are not good at adding new products.” As Ludwig gives examples like the existing gifted sub leaderboard and hype trains, the creator explained that he feels that the features added by the platform have just provided the existing community ways to give the streamer more of their money instead of providing ways to bring more people into the channel. Quickly switching over to the recently announced stream boost announcement, Ludwig explained: “It’s just so weird that everything Twitch does require viewers to use their money and resources to promote streamers rather than them being the one promoting and some of them I think are predatory.” While Ludwig is critical of features like the stream boost, sub-gift leaderboards, and hype trains, he does think the streamer sub badge is a good feature as it promotes people who have been a part of the community a long time. The creator does go further into why he thinks the new feature will be a “flop,” as he believes most viewers only spend their time on channels they already enjoy with the exception of raids happening on a channel the viewer already enjoys. He may be right, as Twitch announced a similar feature using channel points almost a year ago and it was never widely adopted. We’ll have to wait and see.

  • Ludwig slams “pathetic” Addison Rae after Screen Break launch – Dexerto

Ludwig slams “pathetic” Addison Rae after Screen Break launch YouTube: Ludwig/Instagram: AddisonRaeYouTube streamer Ludwig Ahgren slammed TikToker Addison Rae for her “pathetic” lack of research leading up to the launch of her blue light skincare product, Screen Break. On February 1, news broke that Addison Rae had released her very own skincare product called ‘Screen Break’ aimed at protecting users from blue light pollution emitted from screens. Her release comes just months after 100 Thieves co-owner Valkyrae received backlash when her similar product ‘RFLCT’ was called a scam due to it launching without showing any of the science behind why it was created. Now, Ludwig has blasted Addison’s “pathetic” lack of research before launching Screen Break — mentioning that she should have learned from Valkyrae’s troubles. Ludwig slams Addison Rae after launching Screen Break Ludwig explained that the type of product Valkyrae launched last year is back, but they “just went and found another Rae.” “This time they got a new Rae, it’s Addison Rae,” he explained. “Which is just pathetic that she didn’t even do a little due diligence. Not even a quick Google search. She would find out that it’s just not a good idea.” Ludwig mentioned that Addison launching Screen Break just months after Valkyrae’s backlash would be comparable to him launching an NFT. (Topic starts at 5:38 in the video) “It’s like if I launch an NFT tomorrow. Like I somehow just missed everything that’s happened and thought it would be cool to launch a bunch of Ludwig NFTs,” He explained. “I don’t get it, I don’t get how you’re that tone-deaf to see that we don’t f**k with the blue light cream anymore.” Ludwig is no stranger to the product, as he had conversations with Valkyrae in the days after her product launch. Some of which were accidentally leaked, which caused RFLCT to terminate the brand just two days later.

  • Ludwig slams potential Twitch sub paycut hurting small streamers – Dexerto

Ludwig slams potential Twitch sub paycut hurting small streamers YouTube: LudwigStreaming giant Ludwig ‘Ludwig’ Ahgren hit out at Twitch over the reported changes they’re making to revenue split over subscriptions, calling it “crazy” while also pointing out how much some streamers are set to lose. As Twitch has gotten bigger over the last few years, it has become a legitimate way for content creators to make a living – and then some. Most streamers, who have a partner contract with Twitch, have a 50/50 split on subscriptions. So, a $5 sub earns them $2.50. Some streamers have more lucrative deals with a higher split too. Over the last few years, Twitch has invoked the wrath of streamers, however, with the introduction of more ads and localized pricing on subscriptions – with streamers losing out even more on their sub split. The Amazon-owned platform is reportedly eyeing further changes too, doing away with the higher split and introducing even more ads. And, according to Ludwig, they could go even further. The former Twitch star, who jumped to YouTube back in November, discussed the changes in his April 28 video, showing just how much the reported changes will impact smaller streamers. “They’re considering taking people who are currently making 70% for every sub and just slicing it down to 50%, which is kind of crazy,” he said. “That’s a 20% pay cut for thousands of streamers. That’s a lot of people who are going to be losing a lot of money.” Ludwig noted that the changes won’t affect some of the top streamers, like xQc and Mizkif, given they already make obscene amounts. Though, he added that smaller streamers will get “slammed” by using the example of Smash Ultimate commentator CONEY, who has around 2,000 subs and could go from making around $84,000 a year to $60,000 by just losing $1 a month per sub. The YouTuber streamer also suggested that Twitch could, before long, do away with Twitch Prime if they’re looking for other avenues to increase profitability and stop “hemorrhaging” money. “Maybe there’s a day where they lose Twitch Prime,” he added. “They know internally that doing that is fire bells ringing, this is OK with the dog sitting around fire meme. It wouldn’t go over well.” While Ludwig noted that Twitch retains a few advantages over YouTube, it’s clearly not all rosy on the side of the Amazon-owned platform.

  • Ludwig slams “dogsh*t” journalism after people attempt to cancel MrBeast again – Dexerto

Ludwig slams “dogsh*t” journalism after people attempt to cancel MrBeast again MrBeast/LudwigLudwig has uploaded a new video in support of MrBeast, with the former breaking down why the latter is being allegedly canceled over building 100 wells in Africa and blaming bad journalism as the root of the issue. MrBeast is one of the most popular and highly watched streamers in the world. The content creator is best known for his over the top competition videos as well as various content of him giving away huge and expensive prizes to people on the street. However, he is not without controversy, with online users calling MrBeast out for his various giveaways and other comments online. Most recently, the YouTuber found himself in the center of drama after he received online backlash for a video he uploaded titled “I built 100 wells in Africa.” Following online controversy, MrBeast responded stating “I already know I’m gonna get canceled because I uploaded a video helping people, and to be 100% clear, I don’t care. I’m always going to use my channel to help people and try to inspire my audience to do the same.” Now, fellow content creator Ludwig has spoken out in support of MrBeast, uploading a new video entitled “Why MrBeast is getting canceled.” At the beginning of the video, Ludwig first explains why he has been uploaded less on his YouTube channel, revealing “You might have noticed I’ve been posting a little bit less on this channel but it’s not because of a lack of things to talk about…but I want to make the videos I make are things I care about and am also informed about.” Ludwig then goes on to discuss the topic at hand, calling out those canceling MrBeast and blaming bad journalism as the reason for the controversy surrounding the content creator. “If you don’t know, MrBeast is in some hot water because he built 100 wells in Africa. But I have a bigger theory, he’s not actually in hot water and the bigger problem we have to talk about today is dogsh*t journalism.” Ludwig then expressed how “maybe MrBeast is getting canceled because he is a white man and came in and solved this issue with no access to water for half a million people. Which I think we could all shake firm hands about and say, that’s dope…I think if he is able to use his money and his resources to help people I don’t give a sh*t if he is white.” Ludwig then proceeds to break down the issue at hand, highlighting coverage and articles about MrBeast’s recent well building in Africa and looking at the way in which activists have been quoted and included in the content. He then ends the video by debunking the idea that MrBeast has in fact been canceled over his recent work in Africa, adding “let’s do better f**king journalism next year baby” before signing off. • Ludwig slams Logan Paul’s response to Coffeezilla “scam” accusations: “A total narcissist” – Dexerto

Ludwig slams Logan Paul’s response to Coffeezilla “scam” accusations: “A total narcissist” YouTube: Mogul MailLogan Paul has now issued a response to Coffeezilla’s “scam” accusations, which immediately piqued the interest of content creators invested in this situation. Ludwig of Mogul Mail fame was among them, as he poked holes in Logan Paul’s defense. YouTuber Coffeezilla, who makes deep-dive investigations into various internet scandals released a three-part documentary in December cataloging his investigation into Logan Paul’s CryptoZoo project. Upon release, Logan Paul responded with a series of tweets promising to “expose bad actors” and teasing his response, even inviting Coffeezilla onto his podcast IMPLAUSIVE. Finally, on January 3, 2023, Jake Paul released a 7-minute video addressing the controversy borne out of Coffeezilla’s investigation. Ludwig broke down the entire response in his own video uploaded to the Mogul Mail channel on January 4, 2023. And he took issue with Logan’s statements in the opening seconds where Logan went after Coffeezilla’s credibility, calling him a “lopsided journalist with an agenda.” “If you haven’t picked up on it yet, is an Ad hominem attack,” explains Ludwig. “Instead of arguing the actual points like: ‘hey Logan, I think the crypto you made is kind of a scam’, he’s able to say ‘No, the person that’s arguing against me is a cringe idiot, so none of it matters and I don’t have to argue it’, which happens a lot in this video.” Ludwig’s take on Coffeezilla vs Logan Paul Ludwig summarised Logan’s response to accusations made by Coffeezilla by arguing: “I’m now realizing that Logan Paul isn’t motivated by pure greed because he could have sold what he had in CryptoZoo to make a bit of money. “I now realized that he’s just the most narcissistic human that I have ever seen online. He just truly thinks he’s that guy, he thinks he can do anything he wants, like create 120 million dollars out of nothing. “And he also thinks that if that fails and a bunch of people are scammed, he can also just do nothing because it’s not his fault, it’s not his responsibility, even though he created the coin and he’s the majority shareholder. He’s just a total narcissist.” This situation is still unfolding – Logan Paul has threatened Coffeezilla with legal action in his response video, but if he acts on the threat is still yet to be seen.

  • Ludwig shocked after discovering all of Spider-Man: No Way Home on Twitch as VOD – Dexerto

Ludwig shocked after discovering all of Spider-Man: No Way Home on Twitch as VOD YouTube: Ludwig / Twitch / Disney, MarvelYouTube streamer Ludwig Ahgren was floored after discovering the new ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ movie available on Twitch in its entirety amid the ongoing copyright debate on the site. Spider-Man: No Way Home made a giant splash at the box office, earning $600 million domestically and well on its way to ranking in the top ten highest-earning films of all time. The hype was more than real for this flick, and Spidey fans are still looking for ways to watch the movie online… and it turns out that one way to pirate has actually been on Twitch for over a week. Former Twitch streamer-turned-YouTube star Ludwig Ahgren discovered this during a January 3 live stream, when he was discussing the current reaction meta trending on the purple broadcasting platform. Ludwig reveals Spider-Man: No Way Home on Twitch as VOD Lately, a slew of streamers have been watching television shows with their audiences — most notably xQc tuning into Gordon Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares — prompting a slew of debate as to whether or not copyright companies will come after broadcasters at some point. “Eventually, there’s a level of negligence where companies might start coming after them,” Ahgren said, before showing that the entirety of Spider-Man: No Way Home is available to stream on Twitch. He avoided saying the name of the channel to sidestep getting into any trouble, but showed a bit of the flick as proof that someone had, indeed, uploaded the entire thing as a VOD. That’s not all; Ahgren even claimed that the VOD has been up for eight days without being taken down due to copyright infringement. “I think this is the beast that’s getting poked at,” Ahgren said. “Eventually, like on YouTube, it causes trouble.” Ahgren compared the ongoing situation with Twitch to the copyright system on YouTube, appearing to think that a similar future is in store for the rival streaming site if they don’t crack down. Ironically, Ludwig’s broadcast discussing the topic has been taken down due to copyright infringement. Despite this, it’s looking more likely than ever that Twitch is actually embracing the TV meta, with a potential collaboration between xQc and Gordon Ramsay recently getting teased.

  • Ludwig slams “creepy” Twitch viewers shipping xQc & Pokimane – Dexerto

Ludwig slams “creepy” Twitch viewers shipping xQc & Pokimane Twitch: Ludwig / PokimanePopular Twitch star Ludwig Ahgren called out Twitch viewers for trying to push Felix ‘xQc’ Lengyel and Imane ‘Poikimane’ Anys into a relationship. The Smash pro called out the toxic behavior from viewers. After visiting Ludwig’s Twitch couples stream in May 2021, viewers have taken a viral moment of xQc praising Pokimane as the most attractive person on the platform and blown it up with shipping memes. Ahgren claims the jokes have gone too far and slammed the bizarre posts in a rant during his live broadcast. The 25-year-old explained that some fans’ weird behavior is why Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins’ wouldn’t play with female gamers in 2018. Ludwig calls out Twitch viewers shipping Pokimane and xQc Ninja came under fire from critics in 2018 when he announced that he would not be playing with female streamers due to fans unhealthily trying to ship anyone that he collaborated with. During his June 4 stream, Ludwig says the Fortnite star might have been on to something due to viewers recently trying to pair up xQc and Pokimane. “Exactly how you guys are acting right now. Twitch chat, you are being the reason, and LSF you are being the reason why Ninja says s**t back in the day like “I don’t play with women, because any relationship with a woman, as a man, is automatically shipped.” Ahgren added, “This is literally OTV levels of shipping right now with this whole Poki and xQc thing.” Ludwig then explained why he felt the situation had gotten out of control. “He was deadass asked who he thought was the most attractive streamer that is NOT your partner, and he didn’t do a meme answer, he answered something he thought his partner would guess. And now there is this weird back and forth where viewers are clipping reactions, and almost baiting shipping between them.” The popular Twitch streamer then shot down the excuse that fans are only having fun with jokes. “It can be a joke, but at what point is it NOT a joke? This is the sixth f**king clip about it. Are we still joking? Should I have laughed after watching that clip? It seemed like Poki was just genuinely excited to play Valorant with xQc.” Over on forums like Reddit, viewers had clipped Pokimane reacting to xQc’s viral answer. And then even made videos about Lengyel reacting to her reaction. According to Ahgren, while funny at first, the behavior is starting to cross a line into uncomfortable territory.

  • Ludwig shocked after OpenAI chooses ex-Twitch CEO Emmett Shear to lead company – Dexerto

Ludwig shocked after OpenAI chooses ex-Twitch CEO Emmett Shear to lead company YouTube: Ludwig/WikimediaInternet star Ludwig Ahgren was left shocked after OpenAI hired ex-Twitch CEO Emmett Shear to run the company just days after Sam Altman was ousted by the board. On November 17, 2023, Sam Altman was abruptly removed from his role as CEO of OpenAI. In a blog post, the company revealed that they were “no longer confident” in his ability to lead the company. Attempts to reinstate the co-founder were made over the next couple of days, but after both attempts failed, Altman was picked up by Micrsoft to lead a new AI division. As a result, OpenAI hired ex-Twitch CEO Emmett Shear and the platform’s former biggest star shared a few words about their new leader. Ludwig shocked after OpenAI hires Emmett Shear In a post on his Twitter/X account, Ludwig made his thoughts and feelings about Emmett Shear joining OpenAI quite clear. “Emmett shear might be the greatest interviewer of all time,” he said in the tweet. “How he went from losing millions at twitch and turning users/creators against him into CEO of the most important AI company in the world is insane.” With streaming platforms like Kick and YouTube rising over the last year, an increasing number of streamers previously loyal to Twitch were able to begin speaking up about the site as they found themselves being able to make choices between platforms. Ludwig left Twitch for YouTube Gaming before Shear’s departure from the Amazon-owned company in March 2023 to spend time with his then-newborn son. Shear explained why he decided to take the CEO spot at OpenAI in a post on Twitter/X, saying that he had the “duty to help.” “I took this job because I believe that OpenAI is one of the most important companies currently in existence. When the board shared the situation and asked me to take the role, I did not make the decision lightly. Ultimately, I felt that I had a duty to help if I could,” Shear said in his post. • Ludwig shocked by how “bitter” Twitch fans have been since he left for YouTube – Dexerto

Ludwig shocked by how “bitter” Twitch fans have been since he left for YouTube YouTube: LudwigLudwig Ahrgen admitted that he was shocked to learn how ‘bitter’ Twitch fans have been towards him since he switched over to YouTube in November 2021 but claims it “kind of makes sense.” Ludwig shocked the internet in November 2021 after announcing that he’d signed an exclusive deal with YouTube Gaming and was leaving Twitch. Since then, he’s spoken about the move multiple times. He even claimed that his new home has a major advantage over his previous one. It’s not all sunshine and rainbows, though. During a stream on January 4, he admitted he’s been surprised by how “mean” Twitch fans have become regarding him online since leaving the platform. “How do I feel about the overall switch? I think it’s been good,” said Ludwig. “I am still struggling with the same thing I was struggling with in the first week, which was people are much meaner than I thought.” He explained that it doesn’t “bother” him too much on the surface because content creators are exposed to “mean people” all the time. However, he was surprised to learn that tribalism (an allegiance to a platform) played a part. “I didn’t think people would be so against me because they align themselves so heavily with, like, being a Twitch viewer,” he said. But he believes it “kind of makes sense” because it’s like rooting for a football team. Read More: Twitch shuts down Ludwig guest appearance – “Look, I think that’s a fine thing to hold as an opinion. But it’s different when it’s a multi-billion dollar conglomerate organization.” For that reason, he’s surprised that so many Twitch fans have acted “more antagonistic” towards him. The relevant part of the video starts at 52.13. It hasn’t all been bad, though. Ludwig claimed that switching platforms has helped him realize how small the streaming community actually is in the real world. He reached the same conclusion about himself, too. “All the things in the Twitch circle seem hugely important and massive,” he said. “But when you scope out and look at it, it’s like a tiny little dot. I’ve been able to see how small not only the entire thing is, but also I am.”

  • Ludwig shades Twitch while congratulating Kai Cenat for breaking sub record – Dexerto

Ludwig shades Twitch while congratulating Kai Cenat for breaking sub record YouTube: Mogul Mail / Instagram: kaicenatKai Cenat has smashed the world record and gained the most concurrent subscribers on Twitch, and its previous holder, Ludwig, has congratulated him while throwing some shade the Amazon-owned platform. Kai Cenat might seem an unlikely name to have trumped the all-time subscriber record on Twitch, as just only recently in April 2021 he was averaging 5,000 viewers. But his meteoric rise to the top shows a streamer who has captivated audiences, even being nominated for Streamer of the Year, and has won hearts all over the world. Now, his record-breaking Twitch subathon has proven this fact. We are now 27 days into Kai’s subathon, and in it he has crushed records. Becoming the first African American to hit 200,000 subs, then beating Ninja’s sub-record, before most recently surpassing Ludwig’s numbers to claim the very top spot. Keeping the momentum going, he’s since gone on to break the 300,000 subscriber mark as the most-subscribed streamer in Twitch history. Ludwig reacts to his sub record being broken by Kai Cenat Ludwig congratulated the Twitch superstar for surpassing his record in a tweet. “Congrats to Kai Cenat for breaking the all-time subscriber record, very deserved,” he said. But in the tweet, he decided to throw in a little jab at Twitch, where he said, “Twitch now pay the man before you lose another record breaker.” Ludwig broke his sub-record on Twitch in his own historic 30-day subathon. But he eventually switched over to YouTube. Citing that YouTube paid better in comparison to Twitch and offered a better deal than what Twitch had. He also said he was never too attached to Twitch as a platform, even though he was known at some points in his Twitch career as “the golden boy of Twitch”. And he seems to have issued Twitch a warning to pay what Kai has earned before he decides to jump ship to another streaming platform as well. In a recent Mogul Mail video discussing the sub-record being broken, he joked with a sarcastic laugh, “he gets to keep the money, like I did.” Poking fun at the fact a good portion of his profits went to Twitch. And he said to Twitch directly, “It’s time to give the man the bag.” He then read out Twitch’s congratulatory tweet, and said, “it’s really great to commemorate that in a tweet, but now pay the man Twitch.” “He has earned you the most money any human has ever earned you in a single month in Twitch history, time to give him a bag so he sticks around for the next couple of years” he explained. Ludwig is not too broken up about his record being broken But Ludwig is very happy for Kai to take his place. As he said in the video, “I do feel like Kai deserves it.” “Just purely in the amount of work he put into what this subathon is” he continued. Ludwig admits his subathon was boring, and people were more interested in seeing the timer go down rather than him as a streamer. Whereas, he feels Kai put more effort into his subathon in comparison. “If you watch any of the subathon, it was really well done. He rented out an entire mansion in Los Angeles, he had a camera operator 24/7 with different crews that would change the room he was in. And he had people producing and planning out content for every day of the 30 days.

  • Ludwig set to break YouTube personal record with MrBeast gifted video – Dexerto

Ludwig set to break YouTube personal record with MrBeast gifted video Ludwig, MrBeast / InstagramLudwig is convinced he’s about to break a personal record on YouTube, after MrBeast gifted a video to his channel. Back in late March of 2022, Ludwig got a sudden phone call from MrBeast live on stream. MrBeast is one of the biggest YouTubers on the platform, and the brief yet convincing call invited Ludwig to travel to North Carolina via a private jet to film a video with MrBeast. Since Ludwig flew out for filming and subsequently told a story about his trip, we haven’t received any news on what Ludwig went out there to film. Until now. According to Ludwig’s message at the beginning of the video, MrBeast wasn’t very happy with how the project turned out. So, rather than discarding the project entirely and not uploading it, MrBeast decided to hand the video over to Ludwig for him to post on his own channel. And, after being up for less than 24 hours, it’s already accrued 1.5 million views. Ludwig convinced MrBeast video will break personal record In a tweet, he said: “Lmao this is definitely gonna be my most viewed video!” Ludwig posted his YouTube analytics on Twitter to show that the MrBeast collab was performing over three times better than the average view counts for his normal content. It was far and away the best performing upload of his last 10, and it will likely become the most viewed video he’s ever posted. The current most viewed upload on Ludwig’s channel is “Jschlatt ruins my game show | Mogul Money” with just over five million views. With the MrBeast video Ludwig just posted closing in on two million views after just one day, Ludwig is set to break that record very soon. Since Ludwig signed an exclusivity deal with YouTube, he’s been working with myriad creators on various platforms. Having appeared on a stream with Hasan Piker at Anime Expo and then taking part in MrBeast’s Las Vegas League of Legends tournament, Ludwig has been busy collaborating with other creators and making content that goes beyond his own channel.

Ludwig set to revive Twitch channel with Creator Dodgeball Championship event Twitter: LudwigLudwig is set to revive his Twitch channel with a stream and a fresh name change with the Creator Dodgeball Championship event. Back in November 2021, Ludwig shocked the internet by revealing that he signed an exclusive contract with YouTube Gaming, which marked the end of his time on Twitch. He’s accidentally gone live on Twitch in the past, but quickly ended the stream to move back over to his channel on YouTube. Ludwig is finally reviving his Twitch channel with the reveal of the Creator Dodgeball Championship event, and he’s changed the name entirely. Ludwig revives Twitch channel, but there’s a catch Revealed in a video on his Twitter account on December 4, 2023, Ludwig is representing Team YouTube during the first-ever Creator Dodgeball World Championship. He makes it clear in the video that the event will be streamed on YouTube and Twitch, but he doesn’t reveal what channels are streaming it in the video. The Mogul Moves Twitter account shared a link to where you can buy tickets for the event and also revealed the game will be streamed on Ludwig’s YouTube channel as well as the Mogul Moves Twitch page. If you go to the Mogul Moves Twitch page, you’ll see it’s actually Ludwig’s main channel that’s getting used for the event. It even has some of his past streams and clips as of the time of writing. It makes sense that he would take advantage of the follower count on his existing, unused channel, for the event. It’s unknown whether it’ll be a simulcast or a completely different set of hosts on the Mogul Moves channel, so we’ll have to wait to see. • Ludwig says streamers make way more money than big YouTubers: “it’s not close” – Dexerto

Ludwig says streamers make way more money than big YouTubers: “it’s not close” YouTube: LudwigStreaming star Ludwig believes Twitch streamers make “way more money” than some of the biggest YouTubers around after he spoke to a handful on each side. When content creation started becoming a legitimate career path for many, most people would have said that it was YouTube that they wanted to make it big on. Though, that’s changed slightly over the last few years. Now, budding internet personalities are more likely to go into streaming – either on Twitch, YouTube, or even Facebook – to try and hit it big and cultivate a massive following. Doing either is still pretty difficult, but is incredibly lucrative. According to Ludwig, though, the success of streamers dwarves that of its YouTuber counterparts, even if they manage to break into the upper echelons of the Google-owned platform. Ludwig says streamers make “way more money” than YouTube stars The former Twitch star appeared on HasanPiker’s Fear& podcast alongside WillNeff and CDawgVA, as he spoke about his recent trip to YouTube’s creator summit. “Dude, you know what actually what I discovered, and it was mindblowing because I talked to all these huge YouTubers, much bigger than me, and afterward I spoke to all the streamers and we came to the same conclusion,” Ludwig said. “Streamers make way, way more money than huge YouTubers, and it’s not close, it’s not close.” Timestamp of 51:22 The four-man roundtable discussed the advantages of doing YouTube rather than streaming, seeing as you have a bit more time to yourself. “It (streaming) gives up a lot more time but, no offense, even Leslie’s (Fuslie) dumb ass was making more than like a lot of the 10 million subscribed-to people like a Matt Stoney,” Ludwig added. Of course, getting to the top of the pile in either choice requires a bit of luck and a substantial work effort – there are rarely many overnight successes anymore. So, even if you’re looking to strike it rich, it will take time.

  • Ludwig makes secret YouTube channel to prove internet stardom is “99% skill” – Dexerto

Ludwig makes secret YouTube channel to prove internet stardom is “99% skill” YouTube: Ludwig“Is success on YouTube mostly luck or skill?” Twitch star Ludwig asked himself that question and put it to the test, making a secret YouTube channel to try and prove that internet stardom is “99% skill” — and his tactics worked (with a bit of luck). Becoming a YouTube star like MrBeast, PewDiePie, or even a top streamer like Pokimane or xQc requires a healthy dose of luck, right? While quality content is a big plus, you can still create amazing videos and still only get a fraction of the views. So, Ludwig set out on a quest to answer the question: “Is success on YouTube mostly luck or mostly skill?” Jimmy ‘MrBeast’ Donaldson, who Ludwig consulted at the start of his project, believes it’s skill. And if he has a YouTube empire with over 100 million combined subscribers, his word has some weight to it. “It’s 99% skill. If you know what you’re doing, you could do that [make a big channel],” he said. Ludwig started a fresh YouTube channel to try and hit 1,000 views in 24 hours to prove his point, outlining his process in a November 5 upload. He did set some rules: He couldn’t use his face or voice — they’d be too closely tied to him. He had to get a bit creative, hiring a voice actor on Fiverr to read out a script he wrote, and then an editor to put together the video. However, the Twitch star knew what he needed to do. He chose a topic he knows well (streaming, of course), and found the most engaging way to get people hooked. Who better than Mizkif for a bit of classic content? Read More: How does MrBeast make money? – “The reason I did it on Mizkif is because I have a decent amount of knowledge on this so I’m speaking as an authority,” Ludwig said. I also know one thing about streamers and it’s the same thing that got me to sell merch using TTS before — they have huge, inflated egos. “If I somehow get this video uploaded and get Mizkif to click on it, he’ll probably watch it. If I can get Mizkif to watch this in front of 45,000 people, then I think that’s a win.” After he got the three-minute video back, he uploaded it onto the new Online Lore channel, using some basic branding to polish up the channel. He pushed it on Mizkif’s subreddit and even donated to Mizkif’s stream to watch the video — waiting until he just ran out of content to ship it. Mizkif was hooked by Ludwig’s $50 donation, despite the chat calling it ‘self promotion’ because it had 22 views, and watched it in front of thousands. He was pleased too, and knew the guy behind Online Lore wasn’t new to the content rodeo: “You don’t even have any other videos dude. You know what you’re doing.” By the time Ludwig posted his YouTube video about the saga, the Online Lore video had over 11,000 views — including 30% generated from “the algorithm,” so it wasn’t all Mizkif. It’s now sitting at 68,000 views, and the channel is pushing 10,000 subscribers. “I’m really happy with it. Once this video [Ludwig’s one] goes out, I’m sure it’ll end up with 100k views. It kind of got a little out of hand, but I really believe in this video. It’s not millions [of views], it’s not enough to go full time, but it’s better than 95% of YouTube videos uploaded,” Ludwig said. “All it came down to was good content, good thumbnailing, good titling, and admittedly, a good way of getting it in front of people who are interested in this type of content. “This could feasibly be done with anyone for just $50 [for promotion].” Of course, now that it’s known Ludwig is behind the channel, it’s going to explode. Not only that, but Ludwig had some pretty close knowledge about Mizkif and his stream. However, the points about being engaging and creative still ring true. Finally, if you think Ludwig is going to leave the Online Lore channel to rot now, think again: He is considering keeping it alive, so be on the lookout for more “Ludwig” content there.

Ludwig saves Hasan from ‘weird’ fan during OTV meetup YouTube: Ludwig/Mogul MailTwitch streamer Hasan ‘Hasan’ Piker found himself in a sticky situation during an awkward encounter with an eager fan. But, his friend Ludwig ‘Ludwig’ Ahgren soon came to the rescue. Content creators have always shared their love for their fans and their support. Many have regularly shown their appreciation by hosting prize giveaways or by generously sharing their millions with their followers. However, not all interactions go so smoothly. Some streamers have found themselves in weird situations when coming face-to-face with eager fans for the first time. One such example was Twitch star Hasan, who was appearing at an OTV event with his friend Ludwig when a fan approached them asking if she could “kiss” Hasan. Hasan fan asks to “kiss” him IRL Popular streamers from across the community turned up in their drones to attend the OTV meetup on July 4 including friends Ludwig and Hasan. As the two greeted a crowd of followers during the event, one fan approached Hasan asking if she could “give [him] a kiss.” He quickly responded “no.” She explained that her “boyfriend asked” her to make the move. However, with Hasan repeatedly rejecting the idea another onlooker asked if her boyfriend could kiss him instead. As Ludwig looked on in shock, it wasn’t long before he swooped in to save the day and bring a light-hearted end to the awkward situation. After Ludwig asked Hasan whether he could receive a quick kiss instead, the Twitch streamer moved in for a short peck with the YouTuber much to the delight of the observing crowd. The overly keen fans may have not gotten their wish, but Ludwig and Hasan’s cute moment left them far from disappointed in the end.

  • Ludwig says Streamer Awards Twitter feud with Dr Disrespect was “all in good fun” – Dexerto

Ludwig says Streamer Awards Twitter feud with Dr Disrespect was “all in good fun” YouTube: The Yard, Dr DisrespectLudwig revealed on the latest episode of The Yard that he believes the ‘fight’ he had with Dr Disrespect on Twitter regarding the Streamer Awards was “all in good fun.” On March 12, 2022, QTCinderella and Maya Higa hosted the first annual Streamer Awards — where creators like CodeMiko and SmallAnt were able to bring home one of their first awards for their content. Noticeably missing was YouTube streamer Dr Disrespect, who on March 28 in a reply to Connoreatspants on Twitter, called the awards a “fake show.” Ludwig quickly hit back at the two-time, calling him out for using NFTs in his new game. On the latest episode of The Yard, Ludwig revealed that he believes the ‘fight’ between him and Doc was “all in good fun” and that the leader of The Champions Club was just in character. Ludwig talks about Dr Disrespect ‘fight’ During the episode, Slime revealed that he was in the car talking to Ludwig about the situation. He said: “We were in the car and you were like ‘it’s all in good fun,’ but you guys were chopping each other up in the conversation.” They then showed the tweet from Dr Disrespect where he insulted Ludwig and “gave him two more years of relevance.” “In my mind, I don’t care about it. I just thought they were funny little drama tweets,” Ludwig said. “And, I think he was also like this because he was joking around with Maya in the same thread.” (Topic starts at 47:42 in the video) The four hosts went on to agree that they believe it was all a part of his character. Ludwig said: “If he had replied with his Guy Beahm account, I would have taken it a lot more seriously.” This isn’t the first instance in the ‘feud’ between Dr Disrespect and Ludwig. Just last December, Ahgren challenged the two-time to a 1v1 battle with a one million dollar wager. However, the challenge never came to fruition.

  • Ludwig roasts streamers for doing the ‘Luddy’ wrong – Dexerto

Ludwig roasts streamers for doing the ‘Luddy’ wrong YouTube: LudwigLudwig recently shared a TikTok video that features footage of other popular streamers doing his Luddy dance incorrectly. The YouTube star’s dance gained popularity several weeks ago during TwitchCon, after a video of him performing the move went viral online. Many people were quick to get their laughs in, yet it didn’t take long for the move to more or less become an internet sensation. Despite its newness to the outside world, Ludwig recently revealed that he and a friend actually created the Luddy several years ago when they were theater kids in high school. Ludwig laughs at popular streamers doing the Luddy wrong While attending the wedding of fellow streamers Abe and Wendy, Ludwig convinced multiple people to try performing the dance on camera. Naturally, the content creator turned said video into a TikTok that later went viral online with nearly seven million views. A recent TikTok-focused YouTube video features the streamer reacting to the various Luddy attempts, many of which he hilariously roasted. Valkyrae’s performance of the dance received a 9.9 out of 10 from Ludwig, for example. He rated Abe’s attempt a 9 out of 10. Others were not so lucky. Wendy only scored a 1, because she “sucked.” YouTuber Janet Rose Xu, aka xChocoBars, didn’t get a rating at all. When her part of the clip popped up, Ludwig asked the chat, “what the f–k is Janet doing?” At the very least, it’s clear she wasn’t doing the Luddy. A little later in the video, Ludwig noted that content creator Brodin deserves an 8 out of 10. Despite doing the dance wrong by going “heels down moving the toes, instead of being toes down moving the heels,” the Luddy creator argues it still “looks kinda cool.”

  • Ludwig roasts Trainwreck for his “confusing” username – Dexerto

Ludwig roasts Trainwreck for his “confusing” username Twitch: Ludwig, TrainwrecksTVPopular Twitch streamer Ludwig roasted fellow broadcaster Trainwreck for his “confusing” username choice following a recent outburst from the creator toward an artist. Gaining popularity from his month-long Subathon earlier this year, Ludwig has grown to over two million subscribers on his YouTube channel and more across social media and Twitch. Throughout this surge in followers, he’s created opinion pieces and unique skits, among a variety of other content online. More recently, the streamer has taken a staunch stance against the currently booming NFT trend that influencers have been participating in. Twitch streamer Trainwreck recently posted his high-dollar NFT purchase on Twitter, which Ludwig proceeded to criticize during a Twitch stream. However, his purchase wasn’t the only thing Ludwig wasn’t a fan of; in a tweet responding to an artist claiming he ripped them off, Train argued that his name is ‘Trainwreck’ instead of ‘Trainwrecks,’ despite his username including the extra letter. Ludwig roasts Trainwreck During his outburst on Twitter, a user quote tweeted Train with claims that he allegedly never paid them for a t-shirt design. Trainwreck quickly clapped back with several points to prove his innocence, while also mentioning that his name doesn’t have the extra letter “s.” Ludwig explained that he knows the creator prefers the name Trainwreck, even though his username on all platforms is ‘TrainwrecksTV.’ However, he also holds that the name doesn’t make any sense. “TrainwrecksTV wouldn’t imply it’s a television show hosted by Trainwrecks. It should describe the TV in his house,” he said. “A couple of English degree fails here by Train,” he added. “But everyone has their pros and cons. I’m good at English, he’s good at pulling a slot machine.” Trainwreck has gained popularity recently for his gambling streams, which have caused some controversy, namely when it affected his ability to play in NICKMERCS’ Apex Legends tournament. At the time of writing, the creator hasn’t responded to Ludwig’s roast. We’ll have to wait and see if he ever decides to hit back.

  • Ludwig reveals why Mogul Money is ending, teases new events coming soon – Dexerto

Ludwig reveals why Mogul Money is ending, teases new events coming soon YouTube: Mogul MailLudwig Ahgren revealed why he’s officially ending Mogul Money after his grand finale in July, and teased that he has more events like it coming soon. In June 2021 — just two months after his infamous subathon — Ludwig revealed the first guests for his then-newly announced Twitch game show: Mogul Money. However, just six episodes later, Ludwig revealed the end of the series on December 4, claiming that he had plans for one final in-person show which will take place on July 2, 2022. Now, Ahgren has explained exactly why he has no plans to continue the production and even gave some a few teasers regarding who will be at the event. Why Ludwig is ending Mogul Money In a video uploaded on April 21, Ludwig explained that after the July “finale” for Mogul Money, he will kill the show forever. He added that many have been left wondering why he isn’t extending it for another season. He responded: “It’s not that great. Don’t get me wrong, I love the show, but it’s been done the best it can be done.” Ludwig also detailed that one of his favorite videos on his channel is the episode featuring Sodapoppin, Cyr, and xQc, which Dexerto reported on last September when Soda ate a banana without removing the peel. Ahgren also leaked which of the three former champions will participate in the grand finale of Mogul Money alongside three other contestants: Jschlatt, xQc, and ConnorEatsPants. The YouTuber explained that he’s been in meetings recently, making plans for events and just as popular shows in the future. Until those events are announced, however, you can check out how to watch the finale of Mogul Money.

  • Ludwig roasts Censor’s proposal after Nadia Warzone drama – Dexerto

Ludwig roasts Censor’s proposal after Nadia Warzone drama YouTube: Mogul MailLudwig took aim at the biggest drama in the Warzone scene and explained to his audience why he thought Censor’s campaign against Nadia was quite cringeworthy. Ludwig Ahgren is one of the biggest names in the streaming world. He stays tuned into the trends buzzing around the gaming community, so it’s no surprise that the epic of Doug ‘Censor’ Martin’s bizarre proposal to Warzone streamer Nadia made it onto his radar. In the October 3 edition of Mogul Mail, the mega-streamer broke down the situation for viewers that aren’t tuned into the CoD scene, and also offered up his thoughts on the whole affair. Ludwig breaks down Censor vs Nadia drama and laughs at “cringe” proposal This edition of Mogul Mail was all about two different situations in which cheating could be making a huge splash in two different communities. While Ludwig opened up by briefly discussing a big scandal in the pro fishing community, he quickly moved on to the topic of Censor’s anti-hacker campaign and how the former pro targeted Nadia in his tweets. Ahgren spent several minutes getting his audience up to speed on both the resulting video and the fact that Martin couldn’t actually prove that Nadia (or any Warzone player) was cheating due to the fact that he only had info pertaining to Call of Duty: Vanguard. After labeling the entire incident ‘cringy’ and noting how he didn’t understand any of it at all, the YouTuber finally got around to talking about the unexpected proposal. “I didn’t make it up, that’s really what happened…. and then Nadia came out and said ‘I’m so happy that I like women,’ which is a really f***ing funny comeback.” This particular saga in the story of the internet’s fascination with Nadia’s gameplay seems to be over, but the day after Ludwig’s video, she did end up getting locked out of her personal account, so the fires of speculation have continued to rage.

  • Ludwig reveals two “psycho” encounters during final Mogul Money event – Dexerto

Ludwig reveals two “psycho” encounters during final Mogul Money event LudwigYouTube star Ludwig Ahgren had two bizarre encounters with fans while at the taping of the final episode of his gameshow Mogul Money. Ludwig hosted the last Mogul Money gameshow event on July 2, crowning Sykkuno as the final champion who barely edged out the competition for a victory. After the show, Lud revealed that hosting the final event racked up an insane $150k in losses for the YouTuber. Now, Ahgren shared more about how the last show went down, including a story about two bizarre fan encounters. Ludwig details two “deranged” fan encounters at Mogul Money The streamer said that although most of the people he met at the meet-and-greet for Mogul Money were great, there were two specific individuals who stood out. The 27-year-old said that although there were multiple layers of security, one person “slipped through” the main stage, in sight of the backstage where all the contestants were. “This person was deranged, and on drugs, PCP. They saw one of the contestants and they started sprinting.” Ludwig continued to explain that although a massive bodyguard named Luke tackled the fan, he managed to power through him. It took Ludwig’s business partner, Nick Allen, to land a few blows on the “insane” fan to finally curtail their efforts to get backstage. Click here if video doesn’t load Another strange fan encounter included visual evidence this time. After the event ended, an intoxicated attendee attempted to get on stage. Security guards managed to halt him before he got on stage, and the video shows him being carried out by his arms and legs, getting tossed out of the YouTube Theatre Jazz-style. Despite Ludwig saying the event was “one of the greatest nights” of his life, there were a handful of hiccups that luckily didn’t interrupt the show.

  • Ludwig reveals major advantage YouTube has over Twitch – Dexerto

Ludwig reveals major advantage YouTube has over Twitch YouTube: Ludwig / TwitchFollowing his surprise departure from Twitch, Ludwig Ahgren revealed the biggest advantage YouTube has so far over the Amazon-owned streaming platform. In November, Ludwig surprised viewers when he revealed that he had signed a multi-year deal to stream exclusively with YouTube Gaming. While Ahgren’s first week after the move had some rough hiccups such as a temporary ban, the 26-year-old opened up to viewers about his experiences so far since leaving Twitch. Ludwig opens up about YouTube and Twitch differences In a December 11 upload posted to his second channel, Ludwig gave a detailed update to his fans about how he feels so far about leaving his old platform. The star explained that his analytics have been up across the board since moving to YouTube Gaming. “After the subathon, I think everyone’s aware that my Twitch numbers were down. And they kind of mellowed out at around 18 to 20 thousand viewers,” he said. “My first week at YouTube has been kind of crazy. The streams all hit 30k viewers at one point and averaged around 25,000.” Ahgren then revealed that his overall upload views had increased since the move, before explaining the major advantage YouTube has over Twitch. “I like the system of immediately when ending the stream, leading all my viewers to a new video. It seems like getting 30,000 views in the first couple of minutes helps a lot. Because then YouTube just pushes it in the algorithm.” While everything seems to be overwhelmingly positive so far, the streamer also opened up about one thing Twitch does better than YouTube, and that is its chat. According to him, the bad coding in the backend at Twitch led to chat lagging. However, this slowdown made it easier to read the flood of messages from viewers. Ahgren explained that because YouTube’s coding is so well done, chat flows too smoothly and as a result messages move by too quickly. “This constant flood makes it hard to read a single message,” he said. “And that’s been hard to adjust to. And I don’t think I can tell YouTube to design their code worse so the experience for me is better.” Interestingly, Ludwig told viewers that he feels more pressure on the Google-owned platform. “For some reason, I feel more pressure than I was on Twitch to actually start streams with actual content. I feel like I need something like a gimmick,” he confessed.

  • Ludwig reveals story of why Snapchat fired him before his streaming career took off – Dexerto

Ludwig reveals story of why Snapchat fired him before his streaming career took off YouTube: Ludwig/SnapchatStreaming star Ludwig ‘Ludwig’ Ahgren has revealed the story behind his exit from Snapchat as he may have had a bit of a bizarre reason for leaving. No matter if you’re big from Twitch, TikTok, YouTube, or another platform, fans are desperate to know the ins and outs of a content creator’s life. That includes their backstory and what they did beforehand. Many of the biggest streamers have gaming experience and tech experience beforehand – with some of the biggest streamers crossing over from the worlds of esports, game development, and coding. That goes for Ludwig who, in a massive deal, recently swapped Twitch for YouTube. While many fans followed him over, he’s also gained some new ones who want to know all about him. So, in a recent stream, the former Twitch star dished on how he used to work for Snapchat – yes, Snapchat – but had a bit of an unusual reason for why he may have left the company. “Snapchat was sick, but I stole a lot from the workplace,” Ludwig said. Now, he wasn’t taking home secret technology or filling his pocket full of pens and other stationery, but he was instead raiding the fridges. “A lot of the newer companies will have a lot of benefits like fridges stocked with La Croix and Babybel,” he explained. “What I would, allegedly, do is I would bring like a grocery bag and Friday night I would drive to work and I would fill two grocery bags and I’d go home so I could eat it on the weekend because I was broke.” The streaming star noted he wasn’t entirely certain that’s the reason why he got fired, but they probably weren’t best pleased with the practice. Things worked out regardless, given that he was a major success on Twitch and is planning on using his YouTube deal to host some massive Smash esports events moving forward.

  • Ludwig reveals how much money he has: “It’s a good chunk of change” – Dexerto

Ludwig reveals how much money he has: “It’s a good chunk of change” YouTube: LudwigStreamer Ludwig opened up to his audience about how much money he actually has. When some viewers were surprised by the figure, the YouTuber hit back at those saying it’s a “low” amount. In October 2021, a data breach at Twitch revealed how much money the company was paying out to its top channels. While the leak didn’t include outside revenue sources, viewers got their first look at how much online personalities can make in their career. Popular streamer Ludwig Ahgren addressed the topic during his December Q&A broadcast when a fan asked him how much money he has. The YouTuber surprised his audience when he answered the question and explained why it’s a “good chunk of change.” Ludwig reveals how much money he has The YouTube star was holding a live Q&A when one viewer point-blank asked him how much money he has. After thinking about it for a second, Ludwig then decided he was okay revealing that information and answered the question. “I think it’s fine to answer this. But I think in total I have like 1.5 to 2 million dollars with like the house mortgage and all that,” he said. The streamer was then taken aback after some viewers claimed that his finances were lower than they expected. “Don’t say ‘that’s it?’,” he responded. “That is not poor. This is a large sum of money to have. F**k you guys. I’m not poor, it’s not low. It’s a good chunk of change.” While some fans were surprised by his answers, others pointed out that it made sense given that the streamer pays a high salary for a handful of full-time employees. Read More: xQc baffled by Bella Poarch’s TikTok success – For example, in April 2021, Ahgren paid his Twitch moderators around $167,000 for helping out with his viral 31-day Subathon. Plus he was answering the question of how much money he has right now. When you factor in taxes, assets, his house, and other expenses, it is a good chunk of change indeed. It is, however, unclear if the streamer factored in the money he made from his YouTube exclusivity deal.

  • Ludwig reveals how much money MrBeast’s video made on his YouTube channel – Dexerto

Ludwig reveals how much money MrBeast’s video made on his YouTube channel YouTube: LudwigJust a week after uploading MrBeast’s $1,000,000 video onto his channel, Ludwig has revealed how much money it has earned after gaining over two million views. In April 2022, MrBeast left Ludwig stunned after offering to fly him out to North Carolina to be in a video. Fast forward to August 2, where it was revealed that MrBeast had scrapped the million-dollar video and gifted it to Ludwig to upload on his channel. The video quickly gained popularity and was set to become Lud’s most watched video. Ludwig has revealed just how little has been earned from the video that cost MrBeast $1,000,000 to create. Ludwig reveals MrBeast video revenue During a recent stream, Ludwig shared the stats behind the video he was gifted by MrBeast. Since August 2 when it was uploaded, it has received over two million views for a total of over 240,000 watch hours. This falls just below Ludwig’s most watched video where JSchlatt appears on Mogul Money which has over five million views. When it comes to revenue, the video falls quite a bit short of what MrBeast has invested with just $3,838 earned in the week after its upload. Ludwig explained in the clip that he doesn’t get to keep any of the revenue made from the video, which means that MrBeast will receive a three-thousand dollar return on his one-million dollar video. “To give me a one million dollar video and also let me keep the money from it would be a little insane,” Ludwig explained. Either way, it was a fun experiment between the two YouTubers. We’ll have to wait to see if MrBeast gifts a video to another creator again in the future.

  • Ludwig reveals how little he made from 12 million YouTube Shorts views – Dexerto

Ludwig reveals how little he made from 12 million YouTube Shorts views YouTube: LudwigYouTube streamer Ludwig Ahgren revealed just how little money he made from a YouTube Shorts video that received 12 million views, compared to a similar clip video not using the shorts algorithm. In January 2021, YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki revealed YouTube Shorts in her annual letter to creators. Shorts was released as the companies attempt to compete with TikTok, which has dominated the internet with short-form video content. Since then, creators around the world have gained popularity using the new Shorts platform, and existing established creators made entirely new channels for their fans to enjoy. However, Ludwig decided to use his existing clips channel to upload videos into the website’s Shorts algorithm. Now, Ahgren has officially had a video reach over 10 million views and he has revealed just how much money he made from it. Ludwig reveals how little he makes After four years of uploading content on his various YouTube channels, Ludwig has revealed that he has had a video reach over 10 million views. Ahgren detailed that shorts automatically make less money because they do not show ads. Instead, YouTube’s payments for shorts are more of a “homie move,” in which they just pay you an amount for getting a large number of views. He said: “You can find your own video sponsors and do one-minute sponsored videos, but let’s ignore that and go just off of what the site pays you outright so we can figure out how much 12 million views gets you paid. “Take a guess. 100? 1000? 10,000? No. $85.02.” The YouTuber went on to explain that while he’s not explicitly complaining about how much he makes from shorts, he does feel that it’s a bit of a bummer for his editors who get half of what is earned from the videos they edit. To put the amount into perspective, Ludwig pulled up a 29-second video that is not using the YouTube shorts algorithm, has less editing, and is shorter, to reveal that he made over $1,700 on that upload. Ahgren explained that he didn’t make the video as a “woe is me” type of upload, but instead, wanted to be transparent with his fans who may be looking into creating content on the platform in the future.

  • Ludwig reveals how much he made from first Mogul Money episode with Jschlatt – Dexerto

Ludwig reveals how much he made from first Mogul Money episode with Jschlatt YouTube: LudwigPopular YouTuber Ludwig Ahgren revealed the insane amount of money he made from the first episode of Mogul Money featuring OTK Member Jschlatt, leaving fans shocked. It’s no secret that Ludwig has a decent-sized bank account, as he disclosed that information back in December 2021. His ever-popular Twitch subathon generated well over one million dollars, but the YouTuber revealed back in January 2022 exactly how little he makes from YouTube shorts videos, and gave a rough idea of how much his dedicated clip channel brings in. One topic he didn’t touch on, however, is how much his well-performing, full-length videos earn… That is, until now, as he’s revealed the insane amount of revenue earned from an episode of Mogul Money featuring Jschlatt. Ludwig reveals how much he’s earned In a clip uploaded to his channel on April 11, Ludwig revealed how much a single episode of Mogul Money earned in revenue. At the time of the upload, the video had generated over 4.1 million views, with almost a million hours of watch time. “This might be the most money I think I’ve ever made in a single video ever,” Ludwig explained. “Since its original start, it made $31,000. That’s crazy. Just to be clear, none of my other videos earn anywhere near that much.” He went on to explain to his chat that it cost about that amount of cash to create an episode of Mogul Money. Mogul Money is a game show created by Ahgren that takes inspiration from the long-running tv show: Jeopardy. The episode in question is from the premiere of the six-month-long series, which was uploaded on July 7, 2021. Since then, the creator has switched to YouTube Gaming and told fans last December that he would like to produce a grand finale “Championship Series,” where he brings past winners back to the show to compete one last time. At the time of writing, the project is still being worked on, so in the meantime — check out Amouranths recent unexpected announcement.

  • Ludwig reveals how he overcame prior gambling addiction as new Twitch meta takes hold – Dexerto

Ludwig reveals how he overcame prior gambling addiction as new Twitch meta takes hold YouTube: LudwigLudwig ‘Ludwig’ Ahgren used Mogul Mail, his second channel vlog, to let his audience know of his own problems with gambling as the meta takes hold on Twitch. With Felix ‘xQc’ Lengyel topping the Twitch stream charts, it was inevitable that his return to sponsored gambling streams would make big waves in the community. Seeing content creators like Asmongold offer support for Canadian streamer while his community drags him for his decision has led to much discussion around the ethicality of gambling onstream. In a Mogul Mail video titled ‘Twitch Needs to Stop Gambling Streamers‘ Ludwig opened up on personal issues with gambling, his own reluctance to take sponsorship and the duty of care of Twitch itself in allowing the problem to fester. Opening with the revelation that Ludwig has dealt with gambling problems in his past, going so far as to call himself an outright “gambling addict,” Ahgren gave an extensive breakdown of his situation at its lowest. “Five years ago, it got so bad,” he said. “I had one hundred dollars left in my bank account. You know what I did with that hundred? I gambled it.” He happened to be gambling against his longtime friend Slime in a game of Mario Party. While the context may sound lighthearted, Ludwig stressed it was a low point in his life. Using this specific example to amplify his message, Ludwig continued: “Honestly there was no greater rush in my life than the opportunity to lose every last penny I had.” Talking of how times have changed for the millionaire mega streamer, Ludwig explained that the pressure of having 15 employees prevents him from returning to gambling today. Knowing he would be using his staff’s “children’s college funds” if he lost it all. As the back and forth between content creators and their communities reach new heights, Ahgren put forth the opinion that we shouldn’t hold individuals to moral standards, when the platforms that host them are equally, if not more to blame for the proliferation of gambling content. “I have a new rule, a simple guideline that would solve gambling online and gambling on Twitch. No sponsored gambling streams. It’s a simple rule. Do not allow sponsored gambling streams.” Pointing the finger directly back at Twitch, Ludwig finished his statement saying: “Twitch, if you’re watching this, maybe consider it. No sponsored gambling streams. That would stop everything. We don’t have to look at streamers as the beacons of morality when a platform can deal with all of that.”

When Ludwig Ahgren decided he wanted to go with QTCinderella and her family to a Dallas Cowboys football game for Christmas, he knew he was going to buy them the best seats possible, no matter the cost. During the December 30 episode of ‘The Yard,’ Ludwig’s podcast that he hosts with his friends, the YouTube streamer revealed what happened to cause him to instantly lose a whopping $54,000 when buying the gift of football tickets. Ludwig loses $54,000 buying football tickets After his manager Slime brought up the topic, Ludwig quickly said: “Let me explain this, this is crazy. This is the craziest thing I’ve ever done and I’ll have to re-evaluate some processes I take.” Ludwig went on to detail that he wanted to surprise QTCinderella’s family with Dallas Cowboys tickets, and wanted to take the initiative to find stadium suite tickets. However, it didn’t go as planned. “I have a bad habit of replying to emails really early,” he revealed. “So I wanted to go to the January 2 game, but I accidentally replied, and signed my name to buy tickets for the wrong date.” Ludwig explained that those tickets cost him $5,400, but he still wanted to go to the right game so he bought new ones. However, it turns out he was wrong about the amount that he agreed to purchase them for. (conversation starts at 37:09 in the video) While talking to Slime about doing a charity giveaway on Twitter, they noticed the credit card that they use for things like that had a purchase on it for $54,000. Slime added: “He read and signed a contract for tickets on the wrong date, and he didn’t see all the zeros at the end. He skimmed it and didn’t see that it was 10 times the amount and it was for a game that he couldn’t go to. “I was mad for a couple of reasons. One, this is insane – you cant make mistakes like this. We’re hiring people and this is someone’s entire salary. Two, I told you not to buy this s**t on the company card.”

Ludwig’s previous career field The popular streamer’s initial passion was actually in comedy, which Ludwig actively pursued in college. But he quickly realized that if he wanted to succeed as a comedian, he’d have to sacrifice his social life, mental well being, and physical health. “I thought I would do comedy, but turns out, it’s really hard to pay the bills,” Ludwig told Stephan. Shortly after giving up comedy, Ludwig discovered streaming for the first time. He hosted a podcast with his roommate, Slime, on Twitch, where he began realizing his potential as a streaming personality. “[The podcast] did pretty well, had like a couple hundred viewers, so I started doing that and then it picked up a little bit,” he stated, reminiscing on the beginning of his streaming career. It took some time for Ludwig’s streams to take flight. He held down various jobs to earn money and invest in himself. In LA, he worked for a magazine publication. Ludwig’s goal was to save up $10,000 while working in LA, so he could grow his own viable streaming business – but unfortunately, he got fired before reaching his savings goal. But losing his stable income didn’t deter him. Creating a routine to grind streaming He found another job selling vapes at a vape company while balancing a consistent streaming schedule. During his spare time at work, he extensively studied streaming and planned out his own content. After getting home at six pm, he would begin his stream from seven to eleven PM. “I was probably spending nine hours thinking about streaming a day, then four hours actually streaming,” Ludwig shared. In other words, Ludwig grinded nonstop, both on stream and off stream. He dedicated his life to maximizing his content quality, examining successful streamers and taking note of their strategies. This drive allowed his reach to steadily grow, eventually earning enough to hire employees to help grow his brand. Expanding his business and allocating resouces Growing a streaming brand often requires managing a myriad of different variables. The sheer volume of work necessary can become overwhelming, which is why Ludwig hired his roommate to help. This was his first of many hires. Hiring his roommate, alongside other employees, allowed Ludwig to focus creating quality content, snowballing his stream growth. In order to keep a steady flow for investments, Ludwig set himself to a relatively strict salary. Ludwig now owns multiple companies, thereby creating multiple facets to continue investing in. Even now, the streamer invests and creates his own brands, increasing both his name recognition and value. “Now my main motivator is I have 15 employees and if the company goes then they all lose their jobs,” he mentioned, chuckling softly. Thanks to Ludwig’s consistency, drive, and mindset for growth, his streaming allowed him to create a company that earns a whopping $25,000 per day. Although he streams exclusively on YouTube, Ludwig still keeps track of Twitch – his original streaming platform.

  • Ludwig reveals his “dream car” was stolen during LA power outage – Dexerto

Ludwig reveals his “dream car” was stolen during LA power outage YouTube: Mogul MailYouTube star Ludwig has revealed that his “dream car” was stolen from his warehouse during a recent power outage due to storms in LA. When it comes to how he gets around the streets of LA, YouTube star Ludwig is best known for how much he loves his Vespa scooter. Back in August 2022, he added his “dream car,” a Subaru Sambar mini truck, to his collection and kept it stored at the warehouse where he and his crew film The Yard podcast, among various other content. In a Mogul Mail video on February 28, Ludwig revealed that someone stole the Subaru from his warehouse during a power outage caused by storms in Los Angeles. Ludwig reveals his “dream car” was stolen in LA In the video, Ludwig explained that the recent storms in LA led to a power outage at his warehouse and how it led to the theft of his “dream car.” He revealed that The Yard co-host Aiden was at the warehouse when the power outage happened and couldn’t open the security gate to leave the property. Luckily, the producer of their podcast came and got the gate open — but couldn’t close it before leaving. Unfortunately, this allowed the robber to come in and steal Ludwig’s mini truck. “Through this rainstorm, a thief in the night came to our warehouse, went into my car, somehow jacked it, and disappeared from the crime scene,” Ludwig said. He went on to say that he knew he could go get another mini truck (it was only $7,000), but he was pretty fond of the one he had due to the mileage that was on it. Fortunately, just one day later and Ludwig was able to track down the vehicle and get it back. While specific details on its whereabouts remained unclear, the car is now in possession of Ludwig once again. This isn’t the first time an LA-based YouTube star has gotten their car stolen either, as Myth’s car was stolen back in January. Myth was able to find his car rather quickly, and now we know Ludwig was met with similar luck too.

  • Ludwig reveals home damage allegedly caused by police during swatting incident – Dexerto

Ludwig reveals home damage allegedly caused by police during swatting incident YouTube: Mogul Mail/ The YardYouTuber Ludwig ‘Ludwig’ Ahgren showed the horrific mess in his home after an LA police dept officer supposedly fell through his ceiling while he was being swatted. Swatting is becoming an increasing worry among the creator community as more and more streamers have had their homes raided by armed police during their livestreams. The incidents typically follow hoax calls, often alleging there is a hostage situation or other emergency at a streamer’s address. Ludwig was just one of the latest victims on August 29. The popular YouTuber was in the middle of a live chess tournament when SWAT police raided his home which he shares with his partner QTCinderella and some of his fellow The Yard podcasters. During their latest podcast, the group discussed the incident and claimed “rude” police officers even caused damage to their home. Ludwig claims SWAT police fell through his ceiling On September 1, The Yard hosted a podcast detailing what happened during the swatting incident. Falco also shared an image and a video showing the carnage supposedly left by the officers. In the clip, a large hole can be seen in the roof above their staircase as well as a litter of installation all over their floor. Ludwig then explained that, while he was supposedly in the back of a police car, he was approached by officers asking him to fill out a form to claim damages because they “fell though the ceiling.” (Topic begins in the video at 14:00) Ludwig added that the police were doing a “thorough” search of their attic when they panicked after seeing an inanimate object in the space. Having experienced multiple swatting incidents throughout their careers, the group added that they had made the police aware any such incidents could be a hoax. However, they supposedly “escalate the situation” each time and how they should be called before any such raids to avoid it happening again. Luckily, no one was hurt during the incident. However, with swatting becoming an ever-increasing problem, many streamers still fear for their safety.

  • Ludwig reveals hesitations around his involvement in Creator Clash 2 – Dexerto

Ludwig reveals hesitations around his involvement in Creator Clash 2 YouTube: TMG PodcastOn the May 26 episode of the TMG podcast, self-proclaimed King of YouTube, Ludwig Ahgren revealed his hesitations around an appearance at Creator Clash 2. With Creator Clash completely dominating online conversation since the event destroyed expectations, there’s been no shortage of people willing to step up and put their bodies on the line for charity. Dr Disrespect, Valkyrae, and Mizkif are just a handful of the names that have been thrown around for possible inclusion in Creator Clash 2. YouTube Gaming’s face of streaming, Ludwig Ahgren even threw out a public call for anyone willing to take him on in the ring. With one half of the Tiny Meat Gang, Cody Ko, jokingly taking him up on the offer during a recent podcast. Starting the podcast, Ludwig came out in boxing gloves, swinging against his friendly rival after Cody called the streamer a “wimp” and saying “I think I’d beat the f**king sh*t out of him!” Discussing potential matchups for Creator Clash 2, Ludwig weighed in on whether he could be coaxed into fighting xQc. This is despite back-and-forth beef developing between the two over gambling streams. Claiming “He’s 6″2, 150lbs soaking weight. I’m 190!” Lud closed the door on the idea before diving deep into hesitations behind getting into the ring. With all three agreeing that losing is an embarrassing prospect, Ahgren referenced Matt Watson popping into his chat and getting exceptionally roasted. “Instantly everyone was like LMAO. How’s the face?” (Topic starts at 9:39) He continued by saying that even though it’s a charity event and that Watson was brave for getting into the ring, his chat had no sympathy towards the loss. “He’s a f**king idiot for getting into the ring,” Ludwig added, as the summation of his thoughts surrounding the loss. With Yodelling Haley willing to step back up after getting beaten in the first Creator Clash, there’s the firm possibility all three are over-exaggerating the effects of loss. We’ll be keeping an eye out for any announcements of the trio donning gloves.

  • Ludwig reveals his awkward first meeting with shroud after Disney trip – Dexerto

Ludwig reveals his awkward first meeting with shroud after Disney trip Twitter, @LudwigAhgrenLudwig was invited on a trip to Disney by former professional Counter-Strike player Michael ‘shroud’ Grzesiek, and their first interaction didn’t quite go as planned. Streamers meeting up in real life isn’t exactly uncommon. Even Ludwig is a good example of that thanks to his outings with members of OfflineTV, being on Jerma985’s dollhouse streams, and tons more. However, Ludwig meeting shroud on a trip to Disney went a little bit different than he had hoped when he made a comment that didn’t exactly go over well with the former CS pro. Ludwig’s embarrassing comment When Ludwig tweeted out a picture of him and shroud at Disney, fans were confused at his choice of t-shirt, which read: “I paused my game for this.” In a clip from his September 22 stream, the former Smash Bros competitor revealed that fans weren’t the only ones to make comments on his choice of clothes. While getting on a roller coaster at the theme park, the creator revealed that one of the other streamers that were on the trip made a comment about his shirt which made him turn to shroud and mention: “This should be your new merch.” Thinking it was a funny joke, Ludwig expected the group to laugh at his comment. However, he was met with reluctance as the former CS pro replied that he doesn’t want to do merch. With the feeling of slight shame from his failed joke, Ludwig went ahead and finished boarding the roller coaster and he claims they all had a great time at Disney that day. It’s unknown how shroud really felt about the idea, but we’re not expecting anything from the streamer since his social media and Twitch channels make no mention of an existing merch line.

  • Ludwig reveals exclusive YouTube Gaming extension with Twitch features – Dexerto

Ludwig reveals exclusive YouTube Gaming extension with Twitch features YouTube: LudwigLudwig has announced an exclusive browser extension that brings much-loved Twitch features over to YouTube Gaming. As more and more Twitch streamers move over to YouTube Gaming, one of the common complaints from fans claims that the platform is missing some of the features viewers have gotten used to on the Amazon-owned site. Just days after TimTheTatman and DrLupo made the switch from Twitch to YouTube in September, BTTV brought their emote catalog over to the site to help solve the growing interest in emotes. In a video uploaded on December 8, Ludwig explained that Twitch has a lot of features that are missing from YouTube, and he’s not happy with that — so he’s found a fix. Ludwig announces YouTube extension In an effort to make the viewing experience better for his 2.2 million fans, he hired ‘ottomated’ to create a brand-new Mogul.TV extension, as he has created various extensions for him before. Ludwig said: “Right now, this extension only works for Google Chrome, but it lets you connect your Twitch account so that if you become a member on YouTube, it would add up all your subs from Twitch, so you become a 22-month sub instead of a one month member. “It basically makes it so you didn’t waste hundreds of dollars on me.” Ludwig also explained that there are many other features available on the extension, with more to come. A few of these include channel points, the ability to change your name, all the emotes from his channel, and the ability to raid any video on YouTube. He also noted that, while the extension currently only works on Google Chrome, he is working with Otto to make it available for Safari and Firefox “very soon.” Despite holding the record for the all-time highest sub count on Twitch, the creator joined the ranks of YouTube Gaming on November 29 — just two months after DrLupo and TimTheTatman.

  • Ludwig reveals he lost sponsor due to leaked video – Dexerto

Ludwig reveals he lost sponsor due to leaked video YouTube: Cold OnesPopular streamer Ludwig Ahgren revealed that he lost one of his sponsors due to a leaked video from Patreon that showed a little too much skin. Ludwig Ahgren is one of the internet’s most popular entertainers. Best known for his elaborate live events and record-breaking subathon, he’s gone on to acquire an exclusive contract with YouTube and has built up a positive (if a bit chaotic) reputation for himself. Recently, Ahgren appeared on an episode of the Cold Ones podcast, where he got a bit tipsy during the conversation — so much so that he felt like letting loose and giving a certain body part a bit of hang time. This part of the podcast wasn’t available on YouTube, and was exclusively available for the Cold Ones Patreon viewers. However, some wires got crossed when the show’s editor asked Ludwig if he wanted this bit censored, and instead, the uncensored version got uploaded to the platform by mistake. (The editor has since apologized, and Ludwig has clarified that all is well between them.) Unfortunately, someone leaked the footage online, and soon the incident became the talk of the town. The influencer woke up a few days later to his body parts being discussed on Twitter, leaving him feeling a tad uncomfortable. “I think b***s are funny, but I have had privilege for the entirety of my steaming career of being a guy,” he said. “I experienced in a very small way what it must be like to be a woman, because I don’t want my b******k to be sexualized.” Ludwig claims he lost sponsor over Patreon leak That’s not all; Ludwig also revealed that he’d actually lost a sponsor over the debacle. “I will say, I did lose a sponsor because my n**s got out,” he admitted. “A sponsor did back out of a deal because they saw that my n**s were leaked, and now they’re out. So that’s a little bit of an L.” As Ludwig noted himself, it’s no picnic for streamers when these kinds of situations happen, despite his positive outlook on the ordeal. Most recently, Alinity discussed how her own on-stream wardrobe mishap led her into a severely negative headspace due to the massive amount of backlash she received over the incident.

  • Ludwig reveals bizarre DMs from biggest hater after they crash his AMA – Dexerto

Ludwig reveals bizarre DMs from biggest hater after they crash his AMA YouTube: LudwigStreaming star Ludwig Ahgren has revealed some of the bizarre DM’s he has received from one of his biggest haters who just isn’t a fan of his Vespa bike. When it comes to being a big name in the streaming world, you’re always going to attract a few critics. Some people simply aren’t going to like your style or the game you play, and they’ll probably make themselves heard. If you’re a gaming streamer, plenty of these haters and trolls will try and stream snipe you in-game – ruining the experience for yourself and the viewers. Though, it’s a little different when you’re an IRL streamer. In the case of Ludwig, he’s got one hater who keeps making themselves known to him, and it’s all because they hate the Vespa motorcycle. Yes, seriously. Ludwig reveals bizarre DMs over his Vespa bike The YouTube streamer revealed that he’s been getting some bizarre DMs from the hater in question – and he’s even responded to them once or twice with photographs of the motorcycle – after they crashed his Ask Me Anything stream. “The first message came on March 7, 2022: Ain’t no way your ass drives a Vespa. March 7, 2022. We are now in f**king October. I sent this picture after he kept talking s*it of me on the Vespa, he didn’t quit,” Ludwig said. “He made AI art of my Vespa getting destroyed and on fire!” the streamer added, scrolling through the hundreds of messages he’s received just about his bike. Timestamp of 1:52:50 The back-and-forth seems to be in pretty good taste from both sides, seeing as many of the messages just have Vespa replacing some sort of meme or copypasta that has picked up steam at the time. Obviously, Ludwig isn’t going to ditch his beloved bike because of a few hundred Twitter DMs, but if he does ever decide to get rid of it, we’re sure he might get the hater in on the act to really settle things.

Ludwig reveals CrazySlick asked for money as he was going “broke” following allegations YouTube: LudwigStreaming star Ludwig ‘Ludwig’ Aghren has revealed that he was also asked for money by CrazySlick as he claimed he was going to go “broke” and that Lud owed him money. On September 19, content creator CrazySlick was accused of sexual assault by fellow streamer Adrianna Lee amid claims from Trainwreck that Mizkif and others had helped cover it up. After the accusations were made, a number of other female personalities came forward and revealed their interactions with Slick, with some accusing him of further sexual harassment with lewd direct messages across social media. As the allegations stacked up, the streamer went “missing” but was eventually found by his pal Mizkif. Though, he was also kicked out of Miz’s content house. Now, Ludwig has revealed that Slick messaged him asking for money shortly after everything. Ludwig reveals CrazySlick asked for money after allegations The former Twitch star, who now streams on YouTube, stated that CrazySlick messaged him for cash after the controversy and asked for money as he believed he was going to go “broke” shortly. “I got a DM from CrazySlick and he said ‘I think I’m going to go broke and need money, and I am owed from this tournament you ran’,” Ludwig said on The Yard podcast. “And, although I do not agree with the actions he did, I also owe him money and I think it’s wrong to not pay out. This is a real DM. It was after the thing. Not like right after, it wasn’t like it came out and he was ‘yo, collecting a bag so he can go to Cancun’ but it was like this past week,” he added. Timestamp of 1:10:50 The YouTuber didn’t reveal exactly how much Slick was owed from the tournament but noted it’s from the Multiversus event he ran back in August, where Slick was partnered with Pokelawls. The streamer has remained off the internet since the allegations were brought against him, with his Twitter page now returning a deleted account. His Twitch channel is still active and partnered, however.

  • Ludwig reveals Andrea Botez ruling following Chessboxing loss controversy – Dexerto

Ludwig reveals Andrea Botez ruling following Chessboxing loss controversy YT: Ludwig / IG: AndreaBotezYouTube giant Ludwig Ahgren has revealed that Andrea Botez “should have” won her Chessboxing match versus Dina Belenkaya, which she controversially lost via checkmate. Ludwig and Mogul Moves’ inaugural Chessboxing event was a resounding success. The event broke viewership records on both Twitch and YouTube and introduced hundreds of thousands of fans to the eclectic hybrid sport. However, it wouldn’t have been an influencer event without a little controversy. Specifically, Andrea Botez’s match with Dina Belenkaya was criticized for giving the win to the latter, despite Botez seemingly outperforming her opponent. Now, both Ludwig and Mogul Moves have explained that Botez should have been awarded the victory. Ludwig confirms Andrea Botez should won at Mogul Chessboxing Championship In a December 12 statement, Mogul Moves said that Andrea should have been awarded the win after the referee “initiated the fourth standing count of the fight”. However, this did not happen and Belenkaya went on to win via checkmate. As a result, Mogul Moves have awarded Botez a belt too. Their statement read: “After reviewing the fight from last night and talking to the chessboxing officials Andrea Botez should have been awarded a TKO after the referee initiated the fourth standing count of the fight. “After discussing with the players, we are not reversing Dina Belenkaya’s win because the fighters played it out in the moment and she competed valiantly. However, we have decided to award Andrea a belt for her performance and to correct the decision that was made in the ring.” Ludwig himself added: “After talking to the officials we thought this was the best path forward. Impossible to rewind the clock but always best to do right when possible. Congrats to [both].” Andrea responded positively to the news, saying: “Double win let’s go.” So too, did the community, with many praising the effort to rectify the error and ensure the event recognized Botez’s success in spite of the outcome. Given the event’s success, it’s safe to say we can expect further chessboxing events in the future.

  • Ludwig reveals awkward story of xQc and Kkatamina meeting for the first time – Dexerto

Ludwig reveals awkward story of xQc and Kkatamina meeting for the first time YouTube: Ludwig Twitch: xQcLudwig just shared the story of xQc and Kkatamina meeting for the first time, during which xQc almost failed to recognize Kkatamina at first glance. During Twitchcon 2022, popular streamer Ludwig witnessed Félix ‘xQc’ Lengyel and Kim ‘Kkatamina’ Mi-young interact in person for the very first time. According to Ludwig, xQc couldn’t recognize the streamer, which resulted in an awkward, yet humorous first meeting for the two. The interaction began with Kkatamina walking up to xQc and Ludwig. xQc introduced himself first, but Kkatamina already knew exactly who he was. Without thinking, xQc replied in the same manner, acting as if he knew exactly who Kkatamina was. Ludwig quickly called him out on this bluff, and asked xQc “what’s her name?” Felix then struggled with his words, unable to remember her name. According to Ludwig’s story, he had to sound out practically Kkatamina’s entire name for xQc. Despite his first social slip-up, xQc attempted to cover his tracks with another bold bluff. “You play Among Us!” he exclaimed. “I have never played Among Us on stream, ever,” she replied, completely shutting down his educated guess. After this second slip-up, xQc leaned into Ludwig and whispered, “I just got Offline TV’d.” “And I instantly narked on him and told Mi-young what he said in my ear, and then I’m sitting there, cause I’m also getting gaslit. Because we’ve definitely played Among Us.” Ludwig stated during the final moments of his little storytelling. Apparently, Ludwig has played Among Us many times with Mi-young, and believes she was lying to stir xQc up in the hilarious moment.

Ludwig responds to Teamfight Tactics adding ‘Mogul’s Mail’ item YouTube: The Yard/RiotLudwig has explained that he loves the fact Riot added an item called ‘Moguls Mail’ into the popular auto battler Teamfight Tactics, whether it was in his honor or not. Every Thursday, Ludwig and his co-hosts release a new episode of their podcast, The Yard, which is aptly named so because it’s filmed in Ludwig’s yard. Ludwig also has another YouTube channel, titled Mogul Mail, where he uploads videos telling his thoughts on a recent viral story — like how he believes Twitch should ban gambling streams. During a recent episode of The Yard, Ludwig revealed that an item has been added to Teamfight Tactics titled ‘Mogul’s Mail,’ mentioning that he’s happy they possibly named an item after him. Ludwig reveals he lost $200k on Smash tournament despite MrBeast sponsorship YouTube: LudwigLudwig’s Super Smash Bros. Invitational didn’t exactly go as planned, as the YouTube sensation has revealed his huge financial losses at the MrBeast-sponsored event. Ludwig Ahgren is no stranger when it comes to gaming tournaments. Having competed them in Smash tournaments alongside the likes of Mew2King and Plup, the YouTube star has also leaped into the world of competitive Fortnite too. His love for the Smash franchise remains as strong as ever, with Ludwig’s Super Smash Bros. Invitational marking another thrilling chapter in his career. However, Ludwig’s time in the event resulted in an unexpected financial meltdown. Ludwig jokingly berates Aiden Calvin amid Smash loss: “You piece of sh*t!” Ludwig’s Super Smash Bros. Invitational came to its conclusion on October 23, leaving its attendees plenty of stories to tell. The event found a saving grace in Jimmy ‘MrBeast’ Donaldson after he stepped in to sponsor it following a lack of funding. Frequent collaborator Aiden/Aimen Calvin was one of the tournament’s many competitors, though his results left Ludwig bewildered. “Big thank you to Aimen…for getting it done against all odds! And he only lost over $100,000!” exclaimed Ludwig. Recoiling behind his hand, Ludwig’s long-time friend clarified it was actually “$200,000.” Topic discussed at 9:46:00 “What the f***! You lost $200,000 you piece of sh*t! Are you f****** kidding? Do you know how many Mogul Mails I had to do?” Ludwig comically shouted. “Do you know? Twitch drama’s over! Twitch drama’s over! You piece of sh*t! We’re gonna lose it all.” Jokes aside, Aiden shared his thoughts on the tournament’s overall success on social media. The competitor explained that he “can’t help but feel we’ve ultimately lacked the polish and viewership for this event to be truly historic.” “I’m very happy with the number of matches streamed, schedule, and format. Hope everyone enjoys top 16 tomorrow,” Aiden added. It’s likely that another tournament could be on the cards, but we’ll have to wait and see what Ludwig plans next.

  • Ludwig responds to Sykkuno moving to YouTube: “Is it a mistake?” – Dexerto

Ludwig responds to Sykkuno moving to YouTube: “Is it a mistake?” YouTube: Mogul Mail/Twitch: SykkunoLudwig ‘Ludwig’ Ahgren has shared his take on the surprise announcement that Twitch streamer ‘Sykkuno’ is leaving the platform for YouTube. Having shared his struggles with YouTube since switching to the platform, fans were eager to hear if Ludwig thought the move was a “mistake.” Sykkuno shocked fans on May 2 after announcing that he had signed an exclusive contract with YouTube Gaming. As a result, it meant he would be leaving his 4 million followers on Twitch. One streaming giant who similarly rocked the community after switching to YouTube was Ludwig, who has certainly enjoyed some highs and lows since the change. For example, while his recent all-star poker livestream proved incredibly successful, he has also been hit with several DMCA-related bans in the past. Ludwig has now shared his thoughts about Sykkuno’s big announcement and whether his fellow streamer has made a “mistake” with the change. Ludwig praises Sykkuno for YouTube move On May 3, Ludwig broke down why he thought Sykkuno had made a good decision leaving Twitch for YouTube. Although he ultimately praised Sykkuno for the move, he also weighed up the pros and cons of streaming for both platforms. “Sykkuno makes a lot of sense for the switch. I think he has friends on here like me and like Valkyrae and his content mostly revolves around him gaming…He has a loyal fanbase.” However, Ludwig argued that streamers like Mizkif and Hasan would “struggle” on YouTube due to the fact they produce a lot of ‘react’ content that is “dead” on the platform. He claimed: “If you’re a reactor and that’s your main content, YouTube just doesn’t, at the moment, have a hospitable place for you.” Ludwig claims he is “happy” he moved to YouTube Ludwig didn’t hold back in sharing the struggles he still has on YouTube. This included issues with the site’s layout to help viewers find a livestream and the problems for creators trying to upload them. Yet, while his livestream views have wavered, Ludwig claimed that his video views have enjoyed huge success on the platform since the change. Not only that, but Ludwig said he now enjoys “a better overall lifestyle” and that he was “happy” he switched to YouTube. Particularly, due to the fact, that he was no longer “funded by viewers.” “Overall, I’m very happy with the move and I’ve got to do a lot of f*cking cool things that I would never be able to do normally,” Ludwig said. “I think Sykkuno made a really good decision and I’m excited for him to be on YouTube.”
