On a September 5 stream though, Kitboga got one of the biggest breakdowns ever streamed, as one scammer took the bait and descended into madness. Impersonating Matilda, an elderly woman falling for a gift card scam, the Twitch streamer led the scammer on for four hours. The streamer has said many times that he keeps up these skits against scammers to essentially waste their time and prevent them from preying on other vulnerable people. His reasons are numerous, but the end result is usually the same – with people screaming their heads off at him. This time, however, the scammer wasn’t prepared for Kitboga’s ‘Granny Edna’ persona, who is essentially the worst version of the people these scammers tend to target. After spending over nine hours with ‘Steve’ over two days and multiple hangups, they had finally gotten to a point where the scammer thought his payday was forthcoming. That is, until Boga started to ‘cash in’ the fake gift cards after Steve started using increasingly aggressive words against old lady Edna. “I haven’t had a scammer this angry in a while,” Kitboga said, after three of five redeemed cards had irreversibly set off the person on the other line. Unfortunately, the scammer kept seeing funds from his promised $500 gift cards going to waste as Edna kept redeeming what apparently belonged to him. During the heated words, the streamer had actually turned off the scammer’s access to Kit’s computer mouse. This gave the scammer absolutely no control over the situation, only escalating the encounter. Approaching the tenth hour of the transaction, ‘Steve’ couldn’t take Edna’s incessant need to interrupt and insistence that the money was already given away to the scammer. As someone who has multiple safeguards against these people, Kitboga was loving the scammer’s attempts to steal everything in the ‘bank account’ as Steve was trying to get a semblance of control in the conversation. To Boga’s recollection, this is the most animated reaction from a scammer he’s ever been rewarded with before finally giving up on the fake IT support, and it’s an instant classic in the streamer’s deep collection of mischief.

Wade Plem claims Kingpyn lost millions on first event Following reports that Kingpyn has failed to pay a number of their fighters or event staff, going completely unresponsive, in a video on August 25, Wade “exposed” the truth as to what’s going on. In his own experience, Wade alleged that Kingpyn failed to pay him and FaZe Sensei what they were owed for their commentating work on the first event, before explaining the company lost a “substantial” amount. “They lost a substantial amount of money,” he said. “To the tune of what I’ve heard, three to four million dollars on the first event.” Wade even took some of the blame himself for Kingpyn’s losses. While acknowledging that he tried his best to promote the events, he explained he maybe didn’t do as well as he should’ve. He added: “A massive massive casualty because they’ve overpaid and undersold with the fighters. Myself, I can take some responsibility there. I tried my best to promote the first card and the second. He revealed he will be joining Facebook Gaming on a new exclusive deal, starting June 24. Gothalion’s pivot to Facebook Gaming comes less than a day after Microsoft announced the Mixer streaming platform would be shut down. The Twitch rival will now transition into part of Facebook’s platform. The platform’s biggest names included Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins, Michael ‘Shroud’ Grzesiek, and Gothalion; all penned exclusive multi-year deals with the now-defunct platform. While the first two have not yet unveiled their next moves, Gothalion has flown his new colors already — a deep, Facebook blue. “Ten months ago I joined the Mixer team. My hope was to create a more robust and competitive streaming market, while mentoring streamers on Mixer, helping them grow their brands, and creating a space we can all feel safe streaming in,” he said. “My mission hasn’t changed. I’ll be joining the Facebook team. Just like them, my doors will be open to all Mixer streamers now looking to find a new home. Starting from this Wednesday, I’ll see you on Facebook. Different address, same me.” Gothalion may already be in the process of setting up shop at Facebook Gaming, but Ninja and Shroud have kept their next moves rather quiet. One question mark for Blevins and his future, in particular, is the feud sparked with Twitch after his huge 2019 departure. Facebook Gaming has also confirmed the platform would not be “actively pursuing exclusive agreements” with any former Mixer stars. Vivek Sharma, who helms the social media giant’s gaming arm, said it would be “up to them, and their priorities.” According to sources, Facebook approached the powerhouse pair to keep them on board during the switch, but were knocked back. Instead, both chose to opt-out of the transition, with full contract payments. They are currently weighing up options. There’s a silver lining to the major shift from Mixer to Facebook Gaming as well. Mixer kept a tight leash on their exclusive partners in terms of where they could stream. Facebook seems more relaxed about their own deals. On April 23, Facebook streamer DisguisedToast appeared back on his Twitch channel for a Just Chatting broadcast, despite inking a deal with the social media platform in November. At the time, he confirmed his admins “had allowed it”. In fact, they even encouraged him to do it, Toast said. Microsoft has set Mixer’s final day for July 22. Following that date, all links on the dissolving platform will redirect to Facebook’s gaming hub. All Mixer users can connect their accounts there “to make it easier” to transition next month.

Gothalion is just the latest streamer to make the switch and he explained he first got into contact with Microsoft over the summer. Teacher gets roasted after asking Christmas-related question On December 23, Tiktoker by the name of @ninongsol is a proud teacher and recently shared a video of himself sitting in class with his students. He asked his class what they would buy for Christmas to give to someone who is almost 30, alluding to himself. He probably wasn’t expecting what came next. His students instantly started roasting him, giving harsh answers like “a life”, “a cane” and “a wife and kids”. One kid in particular asked him if he was referring to himself, and when he said yes, that made it even worse as far as their comebacks. “Better style” and even “a therapist” were some of the responses that came next, which he took in good stride by nodding along. Thankfully, the video ended on a positive note with one student saying “I’d get you socks”. The big question is whether or not the teacher will be brave enough to ask the same question next year. But, the clip has now reached over 3 million views on TikTok making it his most successful post yet, so that might give him a reason to do it again. With the drinking age being 21 in the United States and 19 in Canadian provinces, teenagers looking to acquire booze have found a solution, thanks to face coverings. By dressing up as elderly grandmothers with the help of Halloween masks, plus the addition of standard medical masks, store employees can have a hard time distinguishing if the outfit is real. Plus, it’s very unlikely that staff at a store would ask someone who appears to be a grandmother for their ID. While some videos have since been taken down or privatized, the most popular clip highlighting this trend comes from user ‘claare__18,’ who showcases her friend dressed in a fully granny getup. “Granny be looking a little different here!” she captioned along with some beer mug emojis. In the clip, the friend wears stereotypical grandmother attire with a headscarf and sweater alongside the masks. After going to a 7-Eleven in the costume, she’s able to go and acquire alcohol. It’s not just the elderly masks that are being used, either; even standard face masks are being used in combination with fake IDs to purchase alcohol. In a “PSA” uploaded by aamandaward, the user explained that teens could use their fake IDS “as much as possible,” because if you wear a mask, people who check IDS can’t see their full face. Obviously, this trend is quite dangerous – not to mention illegal – so it’s not advised that you try it out for yourself, as it could have some serious consequences.

Some of the most iconic tracks on the album have racked up hundreds of millions of plays since his debut mixtape was released in 2008. Mescudi has gone on to influence other major stars including Travis Scott – whose two-part moniker is directly inspired by Mescudi – and Jaeden Smith. But the crowd at Rolling Loud 2022 did not hold the same respect for the Man On The Moon as his peers. Reportedly this happened multiple times to different female Kick streamers over the past months. In her Tweet which has been viewed 500,000 times, @QueenStank66 shared the unpleasant interaction with a user supporting her Kick channel. The user in question sent QueenStank an unsolicited picture which made her uncomfortable, and, upon explaining her discomfort to the sender, he decided to block her. Stank then also said that other female streamers send thanks her way after putting the spotlight on the user. As it turns out, he’s a “habitual offender,” according to her claims. Internet reacts to patron sending unsolicited pictures Other users in the retweets were disgusted by the behavior on display by the sender of the unsolicited pictures for a variety of reasons. “That’s literally illegal,” highlighted one streamer. To which they received a reply in support stating: “Felony here in AZ.” QueenStank posted screenshots of some of the messages thanking her for exposing the user in question with plenty of other female streamers having their own stories to tell. “Totally unhinged and scary. I have been too scared to say anything because he donated like $14,000 to me and I don’t want chargebacks or backlash,” wrote one anonymous person to QueenStank. Hours after posting this QueenStank actually followed up the story with some good news. “KickStreaming staff has confirmed that this person has been permanently banned on their platform, the days of harassing female streamers are over for you dude. Kid catches on fire while jumping over blazing rope during IRL stream IRL Twitch streamer CJayRide was horrified after a child appeared to catch on fire while jumping over a flame-covered rope during a live broadcast. CJayRide was at a fire show at Langkawi Beach in Malaysia, and was mesmerized when he noticed people were jumping rope with fire – a burning twist to the popular activity. A woman held one end of the rope while a man in a wheelchair grabbed hold of the other and twirled it for on-lookers to join in and partake in the activity. “Jump roping fire? Oh yeah, I used to do this as a kid too,” the IRL streamer sarcastically said as he observed the spectacle, and as the kid began jumping. “Oh sh*t,” he gasped as the boy did three rotations without fail. However, by the ninth or tenth skip, the young child tripped and appeared to become engulfed in flames. Quickly, the streamer turned the camera away from the boy and back onto his own paralyzed face, seemingly immobilized in awe at what he’d just witnessed. “Okay, he’s on fire,” he observed. “That kid is actually on fire. Months after its initial launch, Trainwreck’s new streaming platform Kick officially has a mobile app for streamers and viewers to enjoy. Released in the early morning of March 27, fans of the budding platform quickly began to check out the features of the newly released app. In doing so, fans found that Kick has given the new app an advantage over Twitch by offering lower prices than the Amazon-owned site’s mobile app. Kick doesn’t charge users app store tax When it comes to apps on both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, any transactions done in the app are subject to a 30% fee. Twitch recoups that money by raising sub prices on the mobile app, turning their $4.99 tier-one subs into $5.99 — a dollar more on mobile than on the website. Just hours after the Kick mobile app launched on iOS, fans realized the platform’s advantage over Twitch. Instead of charging its mobile users more money, the growing platform has instead opted to bypass the app store entirely by making users add a payment method inside of the app. Twitch isn’t the only platform to pass the app store fees onto the customer, as Elon Musk decided to do it with the latest rendition of Twitter Blue. On the web, a month of Twitter Blue is only $8 while iOS and Android apps charge the customer $11 a month. It’s unlikely that this will affect how much creators earn from their subs, as Kick is likely not being charged an app store fee for transactions. We’ve reached out to Kick and Train for clarification and will update you if either of them responds.

Back in February 2023, Internet star Adin Ross revealed that he had signed one of the first major contracts to stream exclusively on Kick alongside fellow star TrainwrecksTV. Since then, Adin has been in headlines for quite a few things including opening up about his struggles with addiction and being swatted various times. During a recent broadcast, Kick boss Eddie Craven told Adin that he wants to see him go to North Korea and IRL stream an interview with country leader Kim Jung Un. Kick boss wants Adin to interview Kim Jung Un While on a call with Eddie, the two began chatting about wanting to live-stream from North Korea. “I know it sounds like I’m f*cking around, but I swear to god going to North Korea and give them a chance to show their world off, I think this could happen, lets give it a crack,” Eddie said. “Have a think about it, no pressure.” Adin responded: “Alright, I got you bro I won’t let you down Eddie. I’ve decided that maybe I was born on here to solve world peace.” Adin went on to share a message for Kim Jong Un himself, revealing that he’d like to take the North Korean leader out to lunch before an interview. “Let me know if we can do that,” he said.” It’s quite unlikely that the interview will ever happen, but we’ll be sure to update you if it ever actually does. According to the US department of state, citizens of the country cannot use their passport to enter North Korea without special permission — and it has to be in interest to the country. This isn’t the first time Adin has wanted to go out of the country to interview a big name, as he attempted to stream alongside Andrew Tate who is on house arrest in Romania.

Kick wants to beat ‘out of touch’ competitors by “treating creators like adults” Kick/Unsplash: @joshuakettleKick first made a splash when Trainwreck promoted it heavily in December 2022. Since then, it has proven a formidable competitor in the livestreaming space. Dexerto spoke to Kick, to learn more about the platform, and put some of the community’s burning questions to them. Livestreaming, particularly of games, has been dominated by Amazon-owned Twitch for more than a decade. Other players have come (and gone), such as Microsoft’s Mixer, and Facebook Gaming. Only YouTube, so far, has managed to put up a real fight, both for migrating viewership and streamers. But Kick, when it was launched, had ambitious aims. It was clear both from Trainwreck’s promotion and its own social media, that Kick had Twitch firmly in the crosshairs. From increased revenue splits to Twitch’s often-maligned ban policy, Kick came for the king – but did it miss? On Twitter, Kick posted a meme showing that they were defeating “out of touch” competitors. But are they? We spoke to a spokesperson for the company, who has opened up on Kick’s vision, decision-making, and why it’s not actually all too worried about Twitch. It’s now been around 6 months since Kick was pushed by Trainwreck and started its rapid growth. What’s been the biggest challenge in this 6 month period, and the biggest achievement? “The biggest challenge and achievement has turned out to be the same thing for Kick; reprogramming the mindset of an audience that a live-streaming platform needs half of everything a creator has worked for. Kick has now passed off the baton to its Creators who are realising their worth as they now post about their lives changing since joining Kick.” Kick provided an example – and this is not the only creator to boast of increased earnings after making the switch. Former Twitch streamer Ac7ionMann said the switch had meant he earned “life-changing” money. But, the question for some creators is whether Kick will be a sustainable platform long-term, worth risking the audience they have built up elsewhere. What is the ultimate goal of Kick in the long term? Is it to directly compete with Twitch and YouTube’s dominance of live streaming, or does Kick want to be something different that can co-exist with these rivals? “Kick will not kill off Twitch or YouTube any more than Spotify killed off MTV. Kick will just do live-streaming in a relevant way and reinvent the space,” Kick explained. “The best unintended storyline that’s come from the media is that a 6-month-old Kick looks a lot like a 16-year-old Twitch right now; we’re not here to build Twitch 2.0 we’re here to evolve past it like a StarFleet.” This actually raises an issue that was highlighted when Kick first launched – its user interface looks remarkably similar to Twitch in its layout and presentation. Kick also uses Amazon’s IVS livestreaming service to broadcast live content – which a former Amazon engineer said would be very costly. From the look of the site to its most publicized features, Twitch was clearly part of Kick’s initial thought process, but is it still the case? It’s clear, based on the messaging and marketing from Kick, particularly on social media, that you want to directly address many of the complaints that people have with Twitch – Namely with sub-revenue splits and moderation and bans. Is this a guiding principle of your decision-making? “No, listening to our creators and their communities is what drives our decision-making. Treating Creators like adults and being honest about revenue splits is just a byproduct of what your question is picking up on.” Despite this, there has been some criticism too of the moderation on Kick. We’ve covered a number of stories that include overt sexual content as well as anti-social behavior streamed on Kick. Some of these instances resulted in bans, but not all. “We agree with Dexerto’s perception around moderation if this was 2-3 months ago,” Kick admitted. “Today, that narrative is being rewritten by the streamers who come and use the dozens of tools found on Kick’s moderation dashboard. “In addition, we’ve added AI software and additional staff to help flag bad actors.” Some Twitch streamers who have been banned have made jokes that they will have to move to Kick to allow their content. We wanted to know if there could be a grain of truth to these jokes. What is Kick’s philosophy on content moderation and enforcement of the guidelines? Are any of Kick’s policies designed to run contrary to Twitch’s moderation rules? “We can’t comment on Twitch’s rules other than what we see their streamers post about on social media but at Kick, we’re reformative and work with the Creator to make better decisions. Banning most Creators for a week or more means they may miss rent or bills. We feel we can get the same message across with a reasonable ban found via dialogue. Not enough value is placed on “Intent” which is weird since live-streaming is such a personal medium.” Regarding users too, there are also concerns that we’ve seen around chat moderation. This has been a battle Twitch has struggled with for years as well, and continues to. Hateful conduct in chats can be hard to eradicate, but is it something that has been given much thought yet internally? “Our latest moderation-dashboard launch gives creators and their mods the ability to self-police their community by banning words and allow-listing certain profiles,” Kick explained. “Creators may also age-gate their channel and Kick moderators are easy to contact via Discord, email and in many instances in real time via chat. So, yeh, you can say we’ve given a lot of thought to this.” Kick’s ties to Stake and sustainability Kick’s connection to Stake is both well-publicized but also unclear. What clarity can you provide on Stake’s involvement with Kick? “Kick has co-founding members / investors who have ownership in Stake but Kick stands on its own as a live streaming platform,” Kick stated. Kick’s ties to Stake have been a point of contention in the community. For some, the timing of the platform’s emergence after Twitch banned many forms of gambling, it appeared Kick was offering that content a safe haven. This also sparked theories that Kick could run at a loss with high sub-revenue splits, while providing advertisement for Stake. Kick explains this is an oversimplification. Is Kick’s 95% sub-revenue split truly sustainable? Although this has been lauded in the community as a much better deal for creators, there have been concerns that the expenditure for the platform means it will run at a loss. Is this true or an oversimplification? “It’s only an oversimplification because we’ve been told for so long that platforms must take half of everything Creators earn in order to function. There are dozens of revenue streams to tap into that all platforms have access to. The real question is at what point does a platform’s greed become satiated to allow creators to earn a living without blatantly lying to them.” Do you think some streamers may be holding off on switching to Kick until the platform has existed for longer & proven its sustainability? “Live-streaming is suffering from a Mixer hangover. Many Creators had the rug pulled out from under them when Mixer shut down. It’s tough for a Creator to confidently look at their community and say we’re making the move. “This is why we over-communicate with our audience and involve them in every move in Beta from our mobile app launch to gathering opinions about revamping our verification process. Creators need to be confident that Kick is doing it the right way.” As Kick knows, for a platform to truly grow, it needs to make its own stars too. While Kick has signed and plans to continue to sign big names, Kick says the real focus is the “midsized streamer.” “Signing big names is fun and will continue – but the backbone of Kick is the midsized streamer. More importantly, the lifeblood of Kick is any streamer that has an entrepreneur’s ambition and the insanity to believe that their streaming dream can become a reality. “We’ve forgotten, fast, that every “Big Name” had to power up their PC and grind.” From publicly available numbers, Kick’s total visits have grown exponentially in the past few months, with the latest estimate at 80m visits in April. But, With Twitch at 1.1 billion visits, there’s still a big gap – how do you plan to close it? “This is not Kick’s focus; closing in on Twitch or even YouTube numbers takes our eye off the Creator. The most important number reported at the end of April 2023 that got little to no media coverage is the fact that Kick surpassed $10M in subscription/gifted revenue in a little over 3 months. That’s over $9.5M distributed to creators.” Are there any Kick features in the works to make it stand out more from Twitch and other streaming services? “We’re currently drafting our Creator Program that will blow the doors off anything we’ve produced thus far.” While no one knows what the future holds for Kick (nor Twitch for that matter), it’s fair to say that the platform has already proven a more formidable competitor than some initially gave it credit for. Twitch, while it often faces the community’s ire over bans and sub-splits, continues to be the go-to site for streaming, with average viewership still growing, albeit only slightly, in 2023. Kick meanwhile, is still in its growth spurt stage and should have rivals peeking over their shoulder. For streamers, both new and established, the platform is putting forward a tempting opportunity, but questions over its long-term viability may still temper some of that excitement. While the site is missing a variety of different features, streamers and viewers alike have been patiently waiting for Kick to release an app for Android and iPhone users. On March 24, the official Kick Twitter page revealed the app’s new release date and fans are excited. Kick reveals updated mobile app release date In the tweet, Kick added a photo with the launch date for the long-awaited mobile app. “Kick app launch. Sunday night EST,” it reads. This means that viewers of the platform will be able to download the app through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store on March 26, 2023, sometime during the night for those in North and South America and early Monday morning in Europe. That is, barring any issues the app may face between now and then. The app was supposed to launch back on March 4, 2023, but issues with it led to the near month-long delay. Fans are excited or it, though, as many took to the replies and quote retweets to share their thoughts on the upcoming launch. “Exactly what we’ve all been waiting to hear,’ one user replied. Another said: “I can’t wait to have the little kick icon on the front page of my phone!” “And that’s a wrap folk. ALL UP FROM HERE,” a third fan commented. It’s unknown what Trainwreck and his team have up their sleeves next for the platform, but we’ll be sure to update you as more information is released.

Kick viewership jumps over 400% in only a few months as ex-Twitch stars dominate KickThe Kick streaming platform has enjoyed an astronomical bump in viewership thanks to ex-Twitch stars dominating on the service. Billing itself as the “most rewarding gaming and live streaming platform,” Kick was established in October 2022 before officially launching this past January. Of course, the platform’s budding rivalry with Twitch has contributed to its early successes. This especially holds true given that several Twitch streamers have already made the jump. Now there’s data to convey just how successful Kick has become in such a short period of time. Kick’s viewership data shows incredible growth in short period According to a State of the Stream report from StreamElements with data from Streams Charts, Kick is enjoying meteoric month-on-month growth – to the tune of more than 400 percent. The report measures the platform’s viewership stats based on the number of hours watched. Between January and April, then, viewership rose an astounding 404 percent. In January, Kick users watched 12.8 million hours of content; by April, they were tuning in to view about 51.8 million hours. StreamElements estimates the massive leap between April and March came courtesy of Kick’s app launch on mobile devices. In addition to an increasing amount of users, Kick also continues to draw in new creators. Kick had attracted more than 9,000 active channels by the end of January. At the end of April, nearly 67,000 active channels had signed on. Such a boost undoubtedly contributed to Kick’s month-over-month viewership leaps. And it probably doesn’t hurt that a fair number of popular Twitch streamers have joined Kick, as well. Trainwrecks and Adin Ross, of course, count among the most high-profile names to make the switch. Meanwhile, rumors suggest the likes of Kai Cenat could eventually land on Kick, too. It’ll be interesting to see how Kick continues to expand its community in the months ahead.

Kick under fire after “creepy” Ice Poseidon stream leads to swatting Kick / Ice PoseidonKick is facing backlash after streamer Ice Poseidon allegedly paid a man to hire an escort and broadcasting it live. Ice Poseidon has been involved in a series of controversial events over the past few months, while IRL streaming on Kick. His actions have led to multiple arrests, in June he was arrested by police in Thailand, Bangkok, for giving lap dances in their hotel lounge. Even though he said he could’ve faced a possibility of 5 years in prison, he announced on August 18, that he and his friends were free to go, with the charges being dropped. Not even two months after the previous incident, he was involved in trying to stream a female escort. Ice Poseidon claims he was swatted during Kick live-stream On September 21, a disturbing incident was carried out that involved the American reportedly paying a middle-aged man $500 to set up an encounter with a female escort. Part of the deal was that they had to install hidden cameras around their home so that they could film the events. It was originally thought that Ice Poseidon was arrested as a result of the events that transpired on stream, but he claims they were swatted and that the police “wrote [it] off as LEGAL and safe.” Streamers slam Kick for bizarre escort stream Many have been left outraged by the events and have slammed the streaming platform for its “morals.” Popular Kick streamer MsSavage took to Twitter/X to highlight her views, as others commented. “I do not stand by this kind of content and watching this made me feel so uncomfortable. Point blank: Kick dropped the ball on this one and action needs to be taken immediately,” MsSavage said. “It a shame the platform gets overshadowed with sh*t like this,” one responded. “think one of the main problems people are having with this (besides the content itself) is that one of the co-founders is in chat laughing at it,” another added. “I keep thinking Kick will start to moderate the live content and care about actual laws being broken once they are happy with the level of eyes on their platform. I’m also realizing I’m delusional,” a user said.

Since it was revealed back in 2022, Trainwreck’s new streaming platform Kick has become one of the most popular sites among creators. Some of Twitch’s biggest creators have moved over to it, including Adin Ross and chess star GMHikaru. Kick has had ways to become monetized and verified as a streamer since launch but revealed new goals to become verified on May 15. How do you get verified on Kick? According to the Kick support website, all verification requests before May 15, 2023, will be handled under the old requirements. For those after that date, however, here are the streaming requirements to become verified on the platform: Stream 30 hours – Stream 12 different days – Average at least 75 concurrent viewers – Have 300 unique chatters – Have at least 20 active subs – Kick also lists a series of account security requirements in order for them to verify your account. Confirmed phone number – Must have 2FA enabled – No username changes – Must have at least 3 on-channel VODs – No TOS violations – These requirements will be tracked over the last 30 days, presumably over a rolling period similar to Twitch. Kick may also revoke your verified status On another page on Kick’s support website, they also revealed several reasons why Kick may revoke a creator’s verified status. Inorganic streams, which include mirror streams, blank streams, and pre-recorded content – 90 days of inactivity could potentially revoke your verification – Artificially inflating views – Repeated violations of Kick TOS in a 30-day period – Your channel must have VOD content – The new goals are definitely more challenging to reach than the platform’s old guidelines, which required 50 average viewers alongside 15 hours of stream time over 7 days. Pokimane is undoubtedly the queen of Twitch, not only being the most-followed female Twitch streamer but one of the most followed streamers on the platform flat out. She has largely become synonymous with the platform, with Twitch often using her in various promotions and her staying loyal to the Amazon-owned site while many streamers jumped ship to YouTube or Kick. Though after a cryptic tweet teasing a departure from Twitch, Kick, a platform Poki has been long critical of, decided to do a little bit of trolling. Sharing her tweet, the rival platform responded with a mock image of Poki’s cookie brand, Myna, in the graphic usually reserved to announce a new signing to the platform. Clearly bringing up a controversy the industry remembers all too well. Poki has been critical of the Stake-backed platform ever since it started luring streamers with blockbuster deals, saying signing with the site would “compromise her morals and ethics.” However, it isn’t as if Kick has no hopes of signing the Twitch superstar, as they revealed that they are indeed still interested in working with her on a contract, even if she had vehemently opposed the idea. Kick’s team isn’t opposed to using Poki for a little bit of trolling, as they once even poked fun at her criticisms of the platform in a TikTok ad. As for what’s next for Pokimane after her cryptic tweet seemingly bidding farewell to Twitch, it’s hard to say as fans will need to wait for her next announcement to see what will come afterward for the queen of Twitch.

Kick & Trovo feud as Twitch branded content guidelines spark backlash Trovo Live, KickStreaming platforms Kick and Trovo Live went back and forth on Twitter amid backlash against Twitch for its new branded content guidelines. While Kick is the new kid on the block, Trovo Live has been in the live-streaming game for a number of years. Trovo launched in 2020, serving as Tencent’s answer to the sheer domination of Twitch. Kick has taken on a similar role over the last several months, managing to give Twitch a run for its money by enticing some of the platform’s most popular creators to jump ship. Now Kick and Trovo are both smelling blood in the water as Twitch looks to add branded content restrictions. Interestingly, in the fight to overtake the Amazon-owned service, the two newer platforms have also made time to go at each other’s throats. Kick and Trovo feud on Twitter amid Twitch controversy During the branded content discourse, Twitch users noticed the platform added a new policy that will charge its partners $25 for bowing out of the program. Shortly after this revelation made the rounds, Kick announced it would cover the fee for “anyone willing to break their contract and move to Kick.” A few hours later, Trovo Live made a similar announcement on its official Twitter page, to which Kick responded with the following: “How’d you come up with that idea?” Trovo answered the jab with a joke about an angel whispering the idea in their ear, but didn’t miss a chance to ask, “Btw how did you come up with the idea for your green theme?” At the very least, fans seemed to enjoy the back-and-forth between Kick and Trovo in the Twitter thread. One person wrote, “This is the beef I didn’t know I wanted.” Meanwhile, others were quick to throw out their favorite popcorn meme. “Share some of that popcorn. Humorous competition hell yes,” said another user with a laughing emoji. As the live-streaming platform wars continue, it’s clear that Twitch and Kick aren’t the only ones willing to trade blows.

Kick throws shade at Twitch after “priceless” Kai Cenat ban Kick/TwitchKick has called out Twitch after they banned Kai Cenat, one of their biggest streamers, and threw shade at the rival streaming site over their products. Kick has been setting itself up as Twitch’s biggest rival in the streaming space for a while now, but it’s rare that they get as aggressive as this. In a tweet which tagged MrBeast, the official Kick account described Kai Cenat as a “priceless” loss for Twitch, and dragged the industry titan for sending him “one dollar” custom Air Forces. Kick calls out Twitch for banning Kai Cenat The tweet drew attention to Kick’s main selling point compared to Twitch: the 50-50 revenue split that it takes from streamers. By contrast, Kick takes just 5%, leaving 95% for the content creator. This was a big factor behind GMHikaru’s decision to join Kick. The post also trashes the custom DXRacers that Twitch collaborates with by putting it next to a bin emoji, and it does the same with the custom Air Forces they sent to Kai Cenat. Among those that have shown distaste towards Kick include Twitch star Pokimane, who claimed after being asked by a fan if she’d join the platform for at least $10 million that she wouldn’t “compromise her morals and ethics” to switch to the site. Kick trolls Pokimane with ad to attract Twitch users With the feud between the two platforms raging on, Kick certainly hasn’t been shy in sending shots toward its rival. Similarly, Kick has even begun poking fun at Pokimane following her criticism of the platform and the creators have signed deals. As reported by Jake Lucky, Kick is now serving ads on TikTok, which are aimed at getting creators to “Join The Better Streaming Platform.” The ad shows the iconic Beetlejuice ‘I’m just hanging around’ meme on top of the platform’s directory page, which also has the caption “When Pokimane catches a streamer considering Kick.” “These Kick Ads are getting out of control. I can’t even browse tik tok in peace,” Jake wrote on Twitter. It’s fair to say fans of Kick loved the ad, with many praising them for the idea. “Kick marketing team killing it,” said one. “You gotta give them credit, it’s pretty funny,” wrote another. Despite poking fun a bit of fun at the Twitch star, Kick’s CEO Ed Craven revealed that the platform wanted to actually work with Pokimane — and still does despite her being highly critical of the streaming site.

Kick teases “KickCon” in Las Vegas In the May 10 post on Twitter, Kick shared a photo of a “complimentary VIP Pass” to an event called “KickCon 2023.” It shows Las Vegas Nevada under the location section, which just so happens to be where TwitchCon 2023 is set to take place in the fall. The event location on the ticket reads “TBA,” but a second tweet from Kick has fans thinking it’s set to take place the same weekend as TwitchCon. Although there’s no telling whether or not the event is actually going to happen, Kick streamers and viewers alike have made it clear that they want it to happen. “DON’T YOU DARE TEASE ME LIKE THIS,” one streamer replied. They had planned for streamers to be able to use no more than 3% of the screen for on-screen adverts, which prompted some to threaten to leave the site. Twitch has since backed down on the changes, apologizing to streamers, and saying they’ll go back to the drawing board. However, a few have already made the switch away from Twitch, with many opting to go to Kick. Kick thanks Twitch for boosting sign-ups That’s right, the Stake-backed platform has benefited most from the controversy, recording a record number of users on their site off the back of it. “We just doubled our all time 24h signup record,” Kick tweeted on June 7, attaching a purple heart to represent Twitch. “Shoutout to that other website for the boost.” Kick has been all over the chance to bring streamers to their platform from Twitch as a result of the drama. They’ve offered to pay streamers the $25 cost Twitch has now implemented to cancel partnership deals. Trainwreck, the third largest stakeholder in the site, has been working to get numerous streamers verified and linked up with a sub button if they make the move too. From blockbuster partnerships with the internet’s biggest streaming stars to a far more lucrative revenue share with its content creators, many have seen the appeal and been drawn over to the newer platform. Naturally, looking to strike a blow at the Amazon-backed brand any chance it gets, Kick is always on the lookout for ways to one-up its competition. This is exactly what happened on July 18, shortly after a disgruntled Twitch streamer hit out at the platform’s new Hype Chat feature. As revealed back in June, Hype Chat on Twitch functions all but identically to Super Chat on YouTube. Viewers can pay a certain amount to have their messages “stand out in chat,” with a portion of the payment going directly to the streamer. Only Twitch Partners have access to this feature at this point in time, though not all are over the moon with their split of the revenue. After having a fan spend $85 on a Hype Chat message, Aussie Twitch streamer Tahlia revealed she only pocketed “$35” of the full amount. “Find me on [Kick] from now on. I’m done with Twitch, I’m livid,” she said. Before long, Kick’s official Twitter account joined the conversation, mocking its rival as you might expect. “Doesn’t sound very hype.” Appealing to the disgruntled streamer, and anyone else in a similar position, they teased the addition of their own ‘Mega Chat’ feature “coming soon” to Kick. Though rather than taking the same cut as Twitch, Kick promised a 95/5 split, giving individual streamers the bulk of the revenue. While we’re yet to see this exact feature implemented on Kick, the platform has indeed been true to its word thus far. Streamers on the platform currently enjoy the same 95/5 revenue split on all subscriptions, a considerable amount more than the average Twitch Partner on a 50/50 split.

And as Kick grows larger, it’s only inevitable for the relatively young streaming platform to go through some growing pains as the site tweaks its TOS rules and straightens out technical issues. However, a major issue has just struck Kick’s mobile app which has led to the platform quickly disabling subscription buttons on handheld devices after streamers reported not receiving their money. Initially found by Twitter user Str3tchy, they reported that he gave 10 gifted subscriptions to a friend of his who was streaming through his phone, however, both he and his friend realized the money never came through. His friend, Form, never received the $70 he gave in gifted subs, and Str3tchy was still charged for the subs regardless. He further reported that Kick’s support told him it wasn’t possible to refund him or re-gift it to Form. Several hours after Str3tchy’s tweet, Kick’s head of product announced they were removing sub buttons from their mobile app due to the issue. “We’ve had to temporarily remove the subscription and gifted subscription buttons from our mobile applications while we quickly upgrade the payment system,” he said in his announcement. “We fully understand the importance of our monetization ecosystem and want to ensure it’s running at 100% accuracy as we update the payment system.” As for when the sub buttons will be back on the mobile app, he says it’s expected to be live again in two to three days. Streamers criticize Kick for harmful account usernames In an April 7 tweet, Twitch and Kick streamer LtKanada hit out at Kick, criticizing the platform for allowing users to create accounts with harmful phrases. “Dear @KickStreaming @Trainwreckstv, you should NOT be able to put in usernames like this,” the streamer wrote on Twitter, alongside sharing a screenshot of an account using a racist slur within its username. “I think Kick is a platform that could have potential, and I’ve enjoyed a few of my streams on there and met cool people,” LtKanada added. “But there’s definitely a lot of things that need to be tweaked. No creator should be harassed like this on any platform. Ruined my vibe and I hope for better.” At the time of writing, Kick is yet to address the latest concerns. However, earlier in April, platform co-founder Ed Craven confirmed that “advanced moderation tools” are on the way after backlash from users for the lack of auto-moderation. Now, another channel has made the switch and signed with Kick in a shocking twist that has evoked a variety of reactions. And that channel is none other than the NELK Boys. The NELK Boys found fame on YouTube by playing pranks on unsuspecting members of the public. Their channel boasts 8 million subscribers but the group has had its fair share of controversy over the years, having had multiple run-ins with the law. While the NELK Boys also have a Twitch channel, they have yet to reach 1 million subscribers there and it seems their focus has now switched to Kick instead. Details of the partnership have yet to be revealed, though this didn’t stop fans from gushing about their excitement over the news. One person wrote, “This is the most exciting thing in my opinion! In the past, many streamers on Twitch have faced bans from the platform for violating copyright rules like this, although there are also occasional Watch Party streams that are approved through Amazon Prime. With the rise of Kick, backed by popular Twitch star Trainwreck and offering a higher revenue split from subs than Twitch does, many have gone over there to bend the rules and film content that typically wouldn’t be allowed, especially as it’s not completely moderated in its infancy. For example, one streamer faced a temporary ban from the platform after he filmed himself and a partner during an intimate moment. Now, a number of users are risking bans by simply livestreaming film marathons, with creators putting up 24-hour livestreams to broadcast each of the Harry Potter films, or like in the screenshot below, Alien vs Predator, for example. While there are still some questions from creators over what they can and can’t get away with on-stream, this is a clear violation of the Kick community guidelines. Kick streamers jailed and released in Nepal after offer to marry 15-year-old girl Kick: HFKTVTwo livestreamers, known as Suspendas and Slightly Homeless, have been arrested and held by police in Nepal. It is believed that they have been charged after speaking to girls as young as 15 and asking one to marry them. A number of Kick streamers, also including Ice Poseidon, are currently in Nepal, streaming IRL content. On May 18, Suspendas and Slightly Homeless spoke to two women while streaming. The girls said they were in grade 10 at school, meaning aged between 15 and 16 years old. The clip was shared on the r/Nepal subreddit, with the poster asking people to share the video with the police. Later on in the stream, police could be seen arriving before the camera was cut off. Ice Posedion then received a text from Suspendas, saying that they had been picked up by the police and were being “taken somewhere.” Suspendas and Slightly Homeless arrested, then released Once held in a Nepalese jail, a woman who claimed to be from the US Embassy arrived and began to discuss the situation with the two streamers, giving them their options. She said that the police had arrested them after seeing footage of SlightlyHomeless “rapping about inappropriate things” and offering to marry a girl who was underage. Homeless admitted: “I was rapping, I said some things I probably shouldn’t have said.” The US Embassy official recommended that the pair seek legal advice from a set of available attorneys. They also advised that at the most extreme, they could have faced up to ten years in prison. An officer advised another streamer who visited the prison that it was likely they would be deported. Another Kick streamer, TheRealMoisesB, said that Homeless was set to be deported after calling his parents, and was in tears. Meanwhile, Suspendas was predicted to spend up to 60 days in the Nepalese prison, according to Moises. However, on a call with Ice Poseidon, Suspendas confirmed that he and the other content creators had all been freed, and that “the whole thing was a big misunderstanding, I guess.” “Some f*cking bullsh*t happened, but I’m not guilty of anything.” Suspendas has previously found himself mired in controversy on Kick, when he was accused of engaging in intercourse in front of a child, sexually assaulting a woman on stream, and for shouting at Japanese people on a train.

The remarks Johnny keeps being called out for were made in May earlier this year, when he harassed members of the public on a Japanese train. He started shouting at other passengers about how he would “do Hiroshima and Nagasaki again.” “You know Hiroshima, Nagasaki? Why did you do Pearl Harbour? You know what we do to you. We destroy, because you don’t know how to behave. We will do it again, you understand? The streamer has since claimed that he was drunk when he made those comments. While conducting an interview in public, Oside Locos was attacked. However, he was able to pull a quick Jiu-Jitsu move to subdue the assailant and take control of the situation. Oside Locos was asking questions to those enjoying their night out when he seemingly befriended a couple, going so far as having his arm around the man’s shoulders. Things took a turn though when Oside Locos asked the girlfriend about the tattoo on her stomach, mistakenly calling it a “tramp stamp.” Her boyfriend did not take kindly to this, discarding any previous camaraderie and tackling Oside Locos onto the street. Despite his girlfriend asking him to stop and telling him it “wasn’t that serious,” the boyfriend continued to throw punches. That is until Oside Locos used a heel hook to turn the tables, submitting his attacker and ordering him to “chill” to diffuse the situation. A heel hook is a common grappling hold in Jiu-Jitsu that can tear a person’s knee — mainly their ACL — proving it to be a devastating submission. Suspendas wasn’t having it though, and literally kicked the animal off his bed when it tried to walk over his body. Users on social media were outraged over the incident, with many angry viewers taking to Twitter to call out the streamer for potentially harming his cat. “Isn’t this animal abuse?” one user wrote. “Kick allows this?” “Poor kitty,” another wrote. “Once again, Suspendas proves what an a**hole he is.” Viewers on the Livestream Fails subreddit echoed similar sentiments, with one user saying he was “awake and angry, and took it out on the cat.” Thus far, it doesn’t seem as though Suspendas has offered a response to the outrage against him online — but this isn’t the first time the streamer has come under fire. During the altercation, their friend, who is filming the incident, snatches the man’s phone and throws it onto the pavement, later admitting to it in the same clip. The video has gone viral online as netizens chime in with criticism toward the streamer and her camerawoman, but Xena clarified the ordeal in a post on her Discord server. According to Xena, the driver’s behavior on the road was extremely unsafe. The streamer claimed that, while driving, the man “parked the car in the middle of the highway” and even “snatched” her phone out of her hands, saying they had different Uber apps and arguing that her destination wasn’t the same as what was displayed on his phone. That’s not all; the driver allegedly claimed that “if we don’t tell him where we were going, we can walk” — causing a heated argument between him, Xena, and her friend. Xena said that he got “aggressive” and “wanted to swing the door” open. “I informed him that if he touches me, I will tase him,” she wrote. “No grown-ass man is allowed to grab me. In this case, streamer Slightlyhomeless had to make a quick getaway as he began getting chased by a monkey while wandering the streets of India. The IRL streamer slowly began approaching the animal for a better look, before having to quickly dash away as it began chasing after him. “Oh my, it’s chasing me,” the streamer screamed. “The monkey’s chasing me, bro, get the f**k away from me what the f**k.” Thankfully, the monkey backed off after a couple of seconds and stopped pursuing him, although it’s fair to say the situation took the streamer’s breath away. Clearly shocked and a bit terrified, he said: “The f**k? Holy sh*t, holy f**k, the f**king monkey chased me,” while also gasping for a bit of air. It certainly isn’t the first time we’ve seen a streamer being chased, and it likely won’t be the last either. Although, typically, it isn’t animals chasing after them, but rather random passer-bys on the street.

Twitch star Hasan was one of the affected creators, and he quickly hit back at Adin Ross’ celebration in a post on Twitter, claiming he was “hitting new levels of stupidity I never knew were reachable.” Now, Kick streamer Cuffem has threatened to “kill” Hasan during a recent stream as the feud between Adin and Hasan continues. Cuffem threatens to kill Hasan during stream During a recent stream on his Kick channel, Cuffem was listening to YoungBoy’s song ‘Never Broke Again’ when he called out the Twitch star. “Play with me, Hasan. We gonna go to war. I swear to god. We gonna purge your ass, Hasan. We gonna kill you, boy,” he said. Cuffem has shown his support for Adin Ross quite a bit in the past, leading people to believe his threat to Hasan has to do with his recent words for Adin after getting a “false copyright” strike. Many are arguing in support of Adin’s ability to copyright strike videos showing clips of himself, with some saying he has the right to do so on the platform. According to the US Copyright Office, it is permissible to use limited portions of a work including quotes, for purposes such as commentary, criticism, news reporting, and scholarly reports. He is best known for selling diet and workout plans and sharing his day-to-day life with viewers. Sullivan also frequently streams on Kick, where he seemingly doesn’t shy away from showcasing various instances of drug use. Most recently, Sullivan discussed “not doing gear” during a live broadcast while his friend was seen participating in drug use behind him. “I do want to do gear but I’m not doing it,” Sullivan can be heard saying as he gets into the backseat of a car. “I’m not doing gear again because I promised my mate.” Sullivan also points out that his friend, fellow influencer Ed Matthews, beside him has “got gear”, ensuring there is no confusion as to what exactly is taking place. Matthews is a TikToker and YouTuber, heavily involved in influencer boxing. Matthews can then be seen sniffing white powder in the background while Sullivan buckles down on his statement, assuring viewers that he is staying clear of the drug. While gear is slang commonly referring to heroin or methamphetamines, it is believed Sullivan used the term to describe cocaine. The clip was shared on Reddit, with many expressing their surprise that the streamer had not been banned by Kick for his blatant showcasing of drug use. However, similar to a person’s normal life, it has brought along many dangers. The most common have been thieves, who have been pickpocketing or more obviously stealing the creator’s belongings. Now, one Kick streamer was stalked during an IRL stream in South Africa and later had an item of his stolen. Woman followed IRL Kick streamer and took his belongings During the stream, the IRL creator KangJoel was seen adventuring around the streets in South Africa. A stranger soon approached him and started asking him and the others in the group with him for money. Even though they constantly said “no” and told her to “go away,” she proceeded to follow them for over an hour. Eventually, they tried to leave in a car, yet she proceeded to enter the vehicle and sit down next to him. “Please I’m begging,” she said, as the driver responded “No! Get out of my car.” She then fled out of the car, but not before stealing his tripod, leading the driver and the streamer’s friends to chase after her. After they apprehended her, she could be heard saying: “What is wrong with you! Leave me alone!” The group eventually managed to get away and drove off leaving the tripod behind with the thief, as it had apparently “broken” during the altercation. At the time of writing, there has been no further update on the situation and KangJoel has returned to IRL streaming on Kick.

Only Up can be one of the most demoralizing games to play because of how punishing it is. Yet with the help of a newly discovered glitch, all of that pain can be avoided entirely. Only Up completed in 33 seconds using crazy Trash glitch Kick streamer and content creator ShadeYT has stunned fans after setting a world record after finishing Only up in just 33 seconds. This incredible feat was accomplished on June 27 by taking advantage of the Trash Glitch where players can roll onto the trash can near the start. Hitting it at the correct angle and at the right time will launch you directly up at an incredible speed. Responding to Shade’s original record one player put: “Omg I just sat there for 10 hours and you do it in 42 seconds,” to which Shade replied saying: “I just beat it in 33 seconds if that helps or makes it worse.” Another thoroughly impressed viewer replied: “That was so sick to watch haha good sh*t.” One player pointed out that this may not be a legitimate world record, claiming: “This is ground skipping it doesn’t count towards a WR and will not be verified.” However, this isn’t true as the run has already been verified in the Unrestricted category of Only Up where anything goes. Shade’s time of 33 seconds is ahead of XeLiquid’s run set on June 26 which took 39 seconds. With the Trash Glitch becoming increasingly popular more runs that utilize will follow. In fact, several streamers have caught legitimate crimes happening during their broadcasts. From broadcasters witnessing terrifying purse-snatchings to even getting threatened with a knife, it’s almost unsurprising when moments like these happen on stream these days. Now, yet another crime has been caught by a live streamer — one who was the victim of a robbery that happened while he was working. Kick streamer’s phone stolen during delivery run Kick streamer RayInTheCity is both a broadcaster and a delivery driver, who was in the middle of a delivery run in early December when he left his vehicle parked on the side of the street to take an order to a customer. He left his phone in his car to broadcast from the cab while he did his job — and while he was away, an opportunistic thief saw their time to strike. In a clip taken from Ray’s stream, viewers can hear the loud noise of a window breaking as the phone tumbles down from where it was sitting in the car. After that, the stream ended, but it’s clear what happened. The thief broke the window of Ray’s car and stole the phone he was using to stream. Although Ray hasn’t provided many updates after the situation was captured during his stream, he did make a post on Twitter/X sharing the clip, writing, “What a sh*t day. Thanks for your inconvenience, losers.” Ray is far from the first streamer to get their phone stolen during a live broadcast. In fact, a slew of streamers have had their phones snatched, including one woman who was streaming on the beach when a thief took her phone right out of her hand.

While waiting to be served, and in full view of his watching audience, he reached into a glass jar of tips on the counter, and lifted out a handful of notes. The closest staff member didn’t see the theft, and came out to serve the streamer, totally unaware that the cash he was about to hand over was actually tips for her and her colleagues. Indeed, sweatergxd used the stolen cash, as well as paying for the rest of his order by card. Viewers were dumbfounded and called him out in the chat. “You’re on camera idiot,” one viewer said. “You’re f**ked for that,” another commented. Others left comments like “you’re so weird” and asked “what’s wrong with you?” Some viewers seemed to find the situation funny, but the overwhelming response was negative. After walking away to get his drink, sweatergxd asked his chat, “am I weird for that?” Lots of viewers told him to tip himself to make up for the lost cash, but the streamer left soon after without tipping. Kick, still a relatively nascent streaming platform, has been taking steps to improve moderation. This includes adding a report button on all channels as of October 6. However, the platform still faces criticism for lax moderation, with streamers supposedly more likely to get away with questionable behavior without a suspension, according to the site’s critics.

Kick is offering streamers a much larger split in sub revenue – with streamers getting 95% on Kick compared to only 50% on Twitch. Former Twitch streamer reveals just how much they’ve made on Kick already That massive difference was highlighted by former Twitch streamer Ac7ionMann, as he revealed the “life-changing” amount of money that he’d made in his time on Kick. “Shout out @Trainwreckstv and @KickStreaming for making the payments process smooth,” he said, showing off his payment of $38,000 from Kick. “You would need 16k subs on Twitch for this. This is around 7k subs on Kick. “This is literally life-changing,” the streamer added, urging others to follow him in making the switch in platforms as well. Plenty of commenters congratulated the streamer on his success, but a few did question if he did have a headstart given he had around 700k followers on Twitch previously. The discoverability for new streamers – especially through Clips – is something Trainwreck has bigged up as another advantage over Twitch. Though, we’ll just have to see if that continues on in a similar fashion to this.

Driving around LA at night, sweatergxd, a popular Kick streamer, had over 4,000 viewers as he approached women on the street, attempting to pick them up. He explained later in the stream that his goal was to see if any women would accept the gift cards without checking if there was any balance on them, and “if they let me f**k, imma f**k.” However, this plan certainly did not go as intended, as one woman he approached began checking the cards before swiftly swiping them from his hand and walking away. Streamer Sweatergxd robbed live on Kick When sweatergxd asked the woman if she was going to snatch the cards simply, she said no, before promptly doing just that. As she took the cards and calmly walked away, she said “motherf**ker.” Sweatergxd appeared stunned momentarily, before taking off his seatbelt and opening the door. But, he very quickly stepped back inside and drove off, after spotting what he thought was a weapon. “Wait nah she has a gun,” he commented. After being robbed of the gift cards, sweatergxd continued to drive around, pulling over at another two women also on the street, who claimed to be prostitutes. He explained that he had been given gift cards to him for Christmas, but the women wanted to verify the balance on them. When unable to do so, the woman bid him a good night and the streamer drove off. Sweatergxd has also previously faced backlash on Kick after stealing money from a tip jar at a restaurant to pay for his order.

N3ON’s comments caught the internet’s attention and sparked quite the debate — but now, he’s in the spotlight once again for a totally different reason. Kick streamer N3ON attacked by thieves in viral video On August 2, a video was posted to N3ON’s Twitter account showing himself being pushed around by a group of supposed thieves. In the video, the thieves bragged that they had stolen N3ON’s shoes and pointed out that the neckline of his shirt had been drastically torn. “Aye, look whose shoes we got?” one of the thieves said, whose face was covered with a bandana. “We caught his ass lacking! Come on, bro.” “You know not to come around here talking like that,” he added, as his mates continued to roast the streamer for his “horrible” shirt that’d been torn up. The group went on to further clown N3ON, with one masked thief posing with him and even taking his glasses to try them on for himself. They bragged that they had stolen his phone before making the streamer say he was a “b*tch.” That’s where the clip ends — but the legitimacy of the situation is up in the air, as the video first appeared on N3ON’s own account. It’s unclear if this was the doing of the alleged thieves or not, leaving some netizens unsure if the whole thing was actually real; but this wouldn’t be the first time a streamer was shaken down. In 2022, a Russian streamer’s phone was snatched right out of her hand as she was broadcasting on the beach.

Some theorized that the clip was staged, based on other content that N3ON has made in the past. N3ON responds after video of him getting robbed goes viral A few days later, N3ON uploaded a video seeming to respond to the situation, which he captioned: “I quit.” In the forty five-second video, N3ON called himself a “disgrace” and claimed he wasn’t sure where his future in content creation was headed after the theft. “This past week has been the worst week of my life,” he began. “I don’t know what happened. I don’t know what I did to deserve any of this, but it’s been terrible. I’m a joke. I am a disgrace to my community, I’m a disgrace to my race, I’m a disgrace to my religion.” “I’m a damn joke,” he continued. “I don’t know what to do anymore. With over 150,000 followers on the platform, N3on has quickly risen to fame and streams to thousands of viewers at a time. There is no shortage of controversy surrounding his content, as he has been kicked out of a Topgolf for allegedly making homophobic comments, accused of botting his viewership, and even called out for his comments saying blonde women have “peanut brains.” The most recent news surrounding N3on, however, is not directed at him specifically. In a clip from one of his recent live streams, N3on directly called out Fortnite pro Clix for allegedly messaging his girlfriend. N3on tells Clix to “get the f*** out” of his girlfriends DMs The clip shows N3on and his girlfriend talking on a couch in front of the camera before N3on looks down at his phone, and then at the camera to address Clix. “Aye Clix, do me a favor and get the f*** out of her DMs,” said N3on. “Get out of her DMs, I don’t know who you think you are. You are a f****** white boy, no one likes you. Get out of her DMs bro, deadass. Don’t you have a girl? Like god, bro.” Outside of N3on claiming Clix has been messaging this girlfriend, there is no proof given that this is the case. HSTikkyTokky went on to accuse N3on’s girlfriend Sam Frank of being the reason behind the cancelation. HSTikkyTokky wrote on X: “Was meant to stream with Neon today. Then last minute he cancelled. The self-proclaimed “esports missionary” was eventually permabanned from the platform for ‘hateful conduct’. Undeterred, DrWitnesser has since moved his streaming efforts to Kick while also sharing prerecorded content on YouTube. But it seems the devout Christian is not quite in the clear just yet after being called out for imposing religion on kids in Fortnite. Twitter account ‘kayluckydog’ shared screenshots featuring some of DrWitnesser’s most recent posts, suggesting that Epic Games should “put this guy on a watch list”. “He purposely plays Fortnite in hopes of getting matched up with kids, so he can try to talk to them about Jesus/religion,” Kay claimed in the tweet. “His content is creepy as f*** targeting kids.” While it cannot be confirmed that the streamer goes out of his way to match with kids, it seems Kay isn’t the only one with concerns.
