Joe Rogan explains to Mike Tyson why Jake Paul is a “genius” for trying to fight him Joe Rogan/Jake PaulPodcaster and UFC commentator Joe Rogan hopped on Mike Tyson’s podcast Hotboxin’ where he called Jake Paul a “genius” after Tyson teased a potential boxing match between the two. Mike Tyson and Jake Paul have been trading words about a potential fight for months now. On March 29, Paul finally said he was ready to fight the former heavyweight great in an event that could be upwards of $300 million in total. Now, Joe Rogan made an appearance on Mike Tyson’s podcast where the pair talked about the real possibility of a fight between Paul and Iron Mike. Joe Rogan calls Jake Paul a “genius” During the podcast, Rogan explained just how big a Paul vs. Tyson fight would be. “But my point is, that fight would be gigantic. Because, first of all, everybody would want to see, a good large percentage would want to see you knock his block off,” Rogan said to Tyson. Rogan continued, “That would be most of the people buying, let’s be honest, no disrespect to Jake, but this is how he sells things, the kid is a genius. And he can f**king fight! The right hand that he knocked Tyrone Woodley out with? That’s real.” Time starts at 1:10:00 Mike was excited by the thought of duking it out with Paul and shouted, “Let’s do it Jakey!” Rogan put some respect on Paul’s name, as the YouTuber and former Disney channel actor has successfully crossed over into the world of boxing. Though the podcaster recognized that most people would tune into a Tyson and Paul fight mostly to see Jake get punched, Joe admits that it’s a killer business strategy.

Joe Rogan explains why Amber Heard shouldn’t have to pay Johnny Depp YouTube/JoeRogan/Law&CrimeJoe Rogan gave his thoughts on the verdict in the Johnny Depp vs. Amber Heard defamation trial, explaining why he doesn’t think the actress should have to pay anything to her ex-husband. The Johnny Depp vs Amber Heard trial was the talk of the internet for a few weeks, spawning countless memes, articles, and hot takes from just about everyone. Podcast icon and UFC commentator Joe Rogan was no exception, with the JRE host tuning in live when the verdict was read. The result saw Depp awarded $15 million while Heard would receive $2 million in compensatory damages, but according to Rogan, the Aqua Man star has already suffered enough during the trial. Joe Rogan shares thoughts on Johnny Depp – Amber Heard verdict During episode 125 of the Joe Rogan Experience, the host watching the verdict come in, and shared some of his thoughts about Heard owing Depp money in the process. “Look, I don’t want her to have to pay him money. I really don’t,” Rogan said. “I think that lady’s broken and psychologically she’s so damaged, she’s so crazy. I think the real punishment is that she’s been exposed to the world how insane she is.” According to Joe, Amber Heard needs to take a trip to a jungle and have some time to herself in nature before she returns in the public sphere. “Then [she should] come back and apologize,” Rogan suggested, before comparing the results of the trial to a one-sided UFC fight. It will be interesting to see how long the trial remains relevant on social media now that it has concluded, but it’s clear everyone has something to say about it.

Joe Rogan explains how Tom Green inspired him to start his podcast YouTube: PowerfulJRE / YourMomsHousePodcastAfter a clip surfaced of Joe Rogan visiting Tom Green’s web show in 2007, the UFC commentator revealed how the MTV star inspired him to make his own podcast. Joe Rogan hosts one of the most popular podcasts in the world, with millions of subscribers tuning in each week on YouTube alone. He’s also the face of UFC as one of the organization’s main commentators, making him an entertainment juggernaut. However on April 12, the comedian opened up on Twitter about his humble beginnings and explained how it was actually Canadian actor Tom Green that inspired him in 2007 to make the wildly successful show he has today. Joe Rogan explains how Tom Green inspired his podcast Tom Green exploded in popularity in the 90s, and was an icon from the MTV era. However it was his web show which debuted in 2006 that was truly groundbreaking. The actor posted a video from it on his Instagram, and the clip featured Joe Rogan visiting his set in 2007. The UFC commentator was blown away by the internet-based format at the time, and told the host, “You need to just keep doing this. We need to figure out how you make money from this.” The Canadian included a caption praising his guest’s success. “In 2007 I invited Joe Rogan to my streaming web TV show live from my living room. What transpired was a prophetic conversation about the future of broadcasting. All of which has come true on Joe’s revolutionary podcast,” it read. https://www.instagram.com/p/B-5s34eBntm/ Rogan reacted to the Instagram post on his Twitter account, and returned the praise back by revealing to his followers that Tom Green got him thinking about making a podcast all those years ago. “Back in 2007 Tom Green turned his house into an internet broadcast studio and did a talk show in his living room. It was amazing, and when I was a guest it got my wheels spinning about doing something like it…” he tweeted. Back in 2007 @tomgreenlive turned his house into an internet broadcast studio and did a talk show in his living room. It remains to be seen if Rogan will invite Tom Green to his own show, but it would make for an interesting conversation. The two comedians have become pioneers in the medium. If nothing else, the clip is a fascinating snapshot in time as the seeds were planted for what would go on to become one of the most successful podcasts of all time.

  • Joe Rogan explains plan he had to overhaul JRE podcast studio – Dexerto

Joe Rogan explains plan he had to overhaul JRE podcast studio Spotify/Joe RoganJoe Rogan has revealed that he’s considered scrapping his iconic podcast studio in favor of a mobile set-up that a few other podcasters have adopted. Since the Joe Rogan Experience started all the way back in 2009, the backdrop of the show has ranged from comedy clubs and hotel rooms to Joe’s purpose-built studio in LA. After making the move to Texas, Rogan’s background underwent an overhaul as he opted for a futuristic set-up that draped his new studio all in red. However, that didn’t last too long and the podcast host decided to replicate what he had in Los Angeles with a wood-paneled background. The UFC commentator previously revealed that Kanye West even offered to remodel the studio for him, and while he didn’t spring for that idea, Joe has considered doing away with the studio set-up altogether. During episode 1821 of the JRE Podcast, Rogan was chatting with his pals Bert Kreischer and Tom Hinchcliffe when the former was talking about his driving habits and how he takes Ubers more often than not. Kreischer specifically pointed out that he doesn’t mind riding around the Mercedes Sprinter vans, which prompted Rogan to bring up his idea of going mobile with his podcast. “We talked about… Jamie and I talked about taking one of those Sprinter vans and turning it into a mobile podcast studio!” he said, with Kreischer noting that other podcasters – like Jackass star Stev-o – have already started doing that. Timestamp of 2:30 With Rogan being on the road a fair bit for his comedy shows and UFC events, a mobile set-up would likely help him, but it would certainly be a departure from what fans are used to. The podcast giant didn’t state if it had gone any further than the idea stage, but if he’s considered it, it could be something we see happen down the line at some point. So, we’ll have to wait and see.

  • Joe Rogan explains how JRE Podcast “accidentally” became the biggest thing he’s done – Dexerto

Joe Rogan explains how JRE Podcast “accidentally” became the biggest thing he’s done YouTube: PowerfulJREPopular podcaster Joe Rogan has revealed the chain of events that led him to “accidentally” starting up the JRE podcast, calling it “the biggest thing that I ever did.” Joe Rogan has become one of the most popular personalities on the internet with his Joe Rogan Experience podcast, in which he has hosted a series of huge celebrities such as Kanye West and Elon Musk. The podcast has been running for over a decade now, and in that period of time he has amassed over 10 million subscribers on the show’s YouTube channel. There was some controversy when it was announced in May 2020 that the JRE podcast would be moving exclusively to Spotify. Up until recently, the podcast episodes appeared in full on YouTube, but now the full episodes can only be accessed via Spotify. Despite this, the star maintains a huge online presence and has experienced a huge amount of success with the podcast. But as Joe himself explains in episode 1600, it hadn’t always been his intention to end up doing podcasting. “I got a slow drip, of fame,” he said, “and that’s one of the things that helped me. I got on television for the first time in the early nineties, with doing stand-up comedy.” While some may think other aspects of his career to be more significant, Rogan seems to see his past achievements as stepping stones towards this podcast. “Then it led to a sitcom, then led to Fear Factor and the UFC and all those different things, and ultimately, it accidentally led to the biggest thing I ever did – which was this.” Topic starts at 2:45 His answer may have surprised some listeners, including guest Lex Fridman, who asked, “is this the biggest thing you ever did?” Rogan replied, “oh, by far. By magnitudes. Massive, giant numbers of magnitudes different than anything I’ve ever done.” His success with the podcast has certainly been impressive, and it seems that even Joe Rogan himself didn’t expect it to be as big of a hit as it has been.

  • Joe Rogan explains how moving to Spotify made him even more famous – Dexerto

Joe Rogan explains how moving to Spotify made him even more famous Joe Rogan / Breaking PointsJoe Rogan explained how he’s become even more famous since moving his podcast to Spotify, to the point where the “level of weirdness” in public has “ramped up considerably.” Joe shocked the world when he announced that his podcast was becoming a Spotify exclusive back in May 2020. One of the biggest reasons behind the switch was that he claimed YouTube tended to “censor people without censoring them,” which he didn’t like. But despite being a good move for him, it made many fans angry at the time. That dissatisfaction continued to swell, especially after discovering more than 40 episodes had been removed from the platform. Nevertheless, Joe hoped moving to Spotify would make him “less famous” since it’s less accessible than YouTube. However, the opposite seemed to happen, and he explained why during an interview with Breaking Points hosts Krystal and Saagar. “One of the things I was hoping about Spotify… [is that] I’ll be less famous,” he said. He conceded that it would have been a “nice” change. But instead, the hosts pointed out that he became even more of a “household name” after switching platforms, and he agreed. “It was [mentioned] in Forbes and all this sh*t, and it was just like, whoah!” he said. “I think people realized there’s a lot of money in this sh*t. I think that was a big factor. It was like one of those moments in a movie where the record skips. And then the level of weirdness in public ramped up considerably.” Joe also mentioned that the increased attention doesn’t bother him because “no one is ever mean to him in public,” and people are “almost always nice.” And if he ever decided to take an extended break, he believes people will “find somebody else” to fill the void. The relevant part of the video happens between 0:07 and 1:00. Even though he’s still pulling incredible amounts of viewership on the platform, Statista reported that Google Search interest in the United States for the term ‘Joe Rogan’ has dropped by 40% since he made the switch. So, although Spotify has seemingly made him more famous, at least in terms of mainstream media coverage, it doesn’t seem to be reflected in the numbers and search results. But it’s fair to say that he wouldn’t be too bothered by that.

  • Joe Rogan explains his biggest problem with LA amid move to Texas – Dexerto

Joe Rogan explains his biggest problem with LA amid move to Texas YouTube: PowerfulJREJoe Rogan has spoken out about why he decided to move his podcast studio to Texas, and discussed the reasons why Los Angeles just isn’t for him. While the Joe Rogan Experience podcast has primarily been based in California since the beginning, in June Joe announced that he was considering moving his podcast to Texas, though he didn’t specify specifically where he’d move to initially. In the 1514th episode of the podcast, he said that he wanted to move to “somewhere in the center of the country” where “you have a little bit more freedom.” He said that there are “too many people” in LA, and that the homelessness problem, the traffic, and the “economic despair” make it too difficult to live there. He said that he would be moving out to Texas with his producer Jamie “soon.” In episode 1523 of the podcast, with Joey Diaz, he clarified a little more about why exactly about LA was driving him away. Topic starts at 5:40 “Why do you feel this strongly about Los Angeles, lately?” he was asked. “I don’t think this is a healthy way to live,” he said, “I don’t think it’s good for your brain.” He discussed how he has become somewhat desensitized to the craziness of the city, and referenced how common rioting and chaos is in that area. “You see a f**king looting and a riot and a building on fire on TV, you don’t even flinch.” “Like, on a regular basis there’s riots. On a regular basis there’s crazy sh*t going on. In Portland, Seattle, they’re trying to burn federal buildings. This isn’t rare. This is like every day.” https://www.instagram.com/p/CDpEC_0lyCM/?utm_source=ig_embed Joe recently revealed a first look at his brand-new Texas podcast studio, a slightly different feel to match his new start in a different state away from the craziness of LA. He’s also signing on with Spotify in what is believed to be a multi-million dollar deal.

  • Joe Rogan explains how gaming could be the future of fitness – Dexerto

Joe Rogan explains how gaming could be the future of fitness Joe Rogan / UnsplashPopular UFC commentator Joe Rogan reveals his hopes for the future of VR gaming and explains why he thinks it could be the future of fitness. Since virtual reality gaming first started to reach the masses, many players have been excited for its full potential and to see the different possibilities it could open up. During episode 1440 of the Joe Rogan Experience, the podcast host revealed that he has high hopes for the future of VR and gaming during an interview with Doom Eternal developer Hugo Martin. The pair began by discussing some of the advancements that video game developers had made in recent years, such as the ever-improving graphics that are making games more realistic than ever before. Joe Rogan explained that he wanted to see gaming reach a stage where fans would benefit from immersing themselves in VR: “My hope for the future is that games are like that and you will be actually able to exercise doing that.” “If you had a game where you’re in a warehouse and you’re actually running for your life, demons are chasing you, you’re shooting down things, your heart rate would be jacked,” Rogan explained. Similar to going to a gym for a workout, he continued to highlight the potential benefits that gaming in virtual reality could introduce in the future. “You could do that for an hour and get a sick workout in and have an amazing, good time. You could get in great shape running from demons.” He also explained that the spaces used for the virtual reality experiences could be designed to mirror the in-game maps and that players could use a haptic feedback suit to be completely immersed in the action. Although it is likely to take a few years until VR games reach such a level of immersion, many gamers have shared his hopes for similar capabilities in the future. Martin explained though that realistically, VR won’t overtake traditional controller or mouse and keyboard gaming, as the skill and accuracy of these inputs can’t be replicated through VR, at least not yet.

  • Joe Rogan explains bizarre reason Texas has so many tigers – Dexerto

Joe Rogan explains bizarre reason Texas has so many tigers YouTube: JRE ClipsIn one of the stranger conversations to have been had on the Joe Rogan Experience podcast, Joe has explained why he loves Texas – touching on why the state has such a high tiger population. Rogan has all manner of guests, topics and conversations crop up in his podcast, which is a given considering how long he has been doing it and the array of people that have featured since the first episode in January 2013. In an episode with Bryan Callen, Eddie Bravo, and Brendan Schaub, Rogan gets on to the subject of why he loves the state of Texas, with the topic quickly changing to how tigers became so popular in the Lone Star state. He says: “Did you know there are more tigers in captivity in Texas than in all the wild in the world? That’s how crazy Texas is.” After explaining how Texas was made from a bunch of people from the Wild West simply settling, Rogan continued to speak about tigers, saying: “They’re in dudes’ yards, that’s what’s insane.” “It all started with one guy who got a tiger, and another guy was like ‘I didn’t know we could get tigers,’ so he went and got himself two tigers. That’s literally what it’s like down there. Dudes have hundreds of tigers in their yards.” Rogan goes on to explain that as long as you have the right facilities and the right fencing, you could keep 100 tigers in your yard, which certainly seems excessive at best. He does reiterate, though, that he loves Texas and considers it one of the safest places in the world, particularly sharing his love for the city of Dallas. The statistic that Texas has more captive tigers than there are in the wild worldwide originally came from the World Wildlife Fund, though much of the number is made up of tigers held in zoos and sanctuaries, rather than people’s backyards.

  • Joe Rogan explains FBI “issues” following Mark Zuckerberg’s JRE apperance – Dexerto

Joe Rogan explains FBI “issues” following Mark Zuckerberg’s JRE apperance YouTube: 2 Bears 1 CaveIn an appearance on 2 Bears 1 Cave, Joe Rogan broke down how Mark Zuckerberg’s appearance on his podcast caused “issues’ and even provoked the FBI to release an official statement about their involvement with Facebook. Joe Rogan has been firmly rooted in the heart of several controversial topics over much of the last decade thanks to his podcast The Joe Rogan Experience. While it happens so often that the UFC host claims not to notice it much anymore, he did highlight how having Zuckerberg on the show was a different beast entirely. When explaining the situation to fellow comedian Tom Segura, here’s what Rogan had to say about the fallout of the Facebook founder’s episode and the stir it caused. Joe Rogan details the story behind Mark Zuckerberg/FBI controversy in his podcast The conversation was prompted when Segura brought up the Zuckerberg episode and asked if the two of them discussed Facebook’s stance on “banning” content was something they touched on. Rogan explained that they did talk about censorship (specifically the New York Post’s report of Hunter Biden’s lost laptop) and that Zuckerberg confirmed that they did limit the sharing of that piece in some way, but that he didn’t seem keen to go into detail about how that is done. “He said it without revealing too much about what their whole system is [or] about how they shadowban things,” he claimed. The former Fear Factor host also noted that Zuckerberg told him that the FBI reached out to Facebook to make them aware that the story was thought to be political misinformation. However, after that episode went live, the Bureau itself released a statement that stated it only warned social media companies about “foreign threat indicators” and not about specific pieces of news. While there are some blurred lines in the recounting of the events, Rogan made it clear that it was still an eye-opening moment in terms of how big his show’s reach has become.

  • Joe Rogan fans concerned after podcast suddenly disappeared from Spotify – Dexerto

Joe Rogan fans concerned after podcast suddenly disappeared from Spotify Spotify/Joe RoganThe Joe Rogan Experience temporarily disappeared from Spotify, just a day after it was revealed how much he may have been paid to stay on the platform. The Joe Rogan Experience podcast suddenly disappeared from the streaming app on February 18, 2022, with no explanation from the platform at all. It turned out to be just hiccup for Spotify, as the show came back online just minutes later. But, due to recent controversy the podcast host has faced recently, many thought this could be something much more serious. Spotify under fire for JRE Over the first two months of 2022 there was plenty of controversy surrounding Rogan and his show, with Spotify even removing over 70 episodes of the podcast, but at the same time defending the embattled host. Rogan himself called getting cancelled a “political hit job” and mocked the controversy in a standup special in February. But, at the same time the host has admitted some of the things he’s said in the past were “idiotic.” Hours before this glitch happened, it was reported that Spotify spent $200 million to acquire the Joe Rogan Experience for their platform. With this vast amount of money invested in the show, and the CEO’s previous comments defending Rogan, the show being outright removed wasn’t very likely, but still caused concern among fans. Many people on Twitter, including those who aren’t fans of Rogan, speculated this could be it for the podcast, but after just a few minutes all of the episodes were back up and available.

  • Joe Rogan Experience revealed as Spotify’s No.1 podcast of 2021 – Dexerto

Joe Rogan Experience revealed as Spotify’s No.1 podcast of 2021 YouTube: PowerfulJREThe Joe Rogan Experience podcast has been named the number one podcast on Spotify for 2021, beating out Alex Cooper’s ‘Call Her Daddy’ which earned second place. Comedian and UFC color commentator Joe Rogan’s podcast was launched originally in 2009, and in the decade since, it has grown to be one of the most popular podcasts in the world, flaunting a high profile series of guests from Elon Musk to Kanye West. In late 2020, the wildly popular podcast made the exclusive move to Spotify with a $100 million deal. Although the move was met with some backlash from fans, stats that have emerged since indicate that it was a lucrative decision for Rogan. On December 1, as part of the Wrapped campaign, Spotify released a list compiling top artists, albums, and songs globally, including the top five podcasts for 2021. The Joe Rogan Experience managed to earn the position of number one most popular Spotify podcast globally, coming out of its first full year as an exclusive on the streaming platform. He managed to beat out Alex Cooper’s ‘Call Her Daddy’ which also made an exclusive move to Spotify in June 2021 for a whopping $60 million. This makes it the second year running that Rogan has managed to achieve the top spot for most popular podcast, and it looks like his popularity is only set to continue in the coming year. However, there are constantly new podcasts breaking onto the scene and garnering enough popularity to challenge the JRE. When it comes to the USA’s top podcast list that’s updated daily, Rogan was briefly dethroned by Karl Jacobs and Sapnap’s debut episode of ‘Banter’ in October, and by The Always Sunny Podcast in November. But fans will no doubt be curious to see whether the host can achieve the overall most popular global podcast three years running in 2022.

  • Joe Rogan dethroned from top Spotify podcast as popular shows return to the top – Dexerto

Joe Rogan dethroned from top Spotify podcast as popular shows return to the top Spotify/Joe RoganJoe Rogan has been dethroned as Spotify’s most popular podcast as two other massive shows have reclaimed their spots in both the United States and the UK. The Joe Rogan Experience podcast started out life as a way for Rogan and his fellow comedians to share road stories and test out new material before their shows. Episodes would be recorded in hotel rooms, different comedy venues, and generally be a bit more unsettled than it has become now. These days, the UFC commentator boasts the most-followed podcast out there, despite the fact that he’s now exclusive to Spotify and his shows don’t get onto YouTube or other platforms like they used to do. He regularly dominates the Spotify charts, especially when he has a big guest on or there are multiple shows in one week. However, there are times when he slips away from that dominance. Joe Rogan dethroned by some of Spotify’s most-popular podcasts That has happened again this week in both the US and UK charts, as he’s been beaten to top spot by two of Spotify’s other most popular shows. In the US, Rogan has been pipped to top spot by the Kelce brothers and their New Heights podcast. That isn’t really a shock, given that Travis’ Kansas City Chiefs have made it to the Super Bowl yet again, and fans will want to hear about his and Taylor Swift’s celebration. On the other side of the Atlantic, in the UK, the JRE Podcast has fallen behind Steven Bartlett’s Diary of a CEO podcast. This has been the case since he released his January 22 episode, so it isn’t an overnight change. He’s even fallen behind The Louis Theroux Podcast too, dropping to third place. As noted earlier, Rogan is typically knocked off the top spot every few weeks, but he quickly claws it back when he drops a pretty big episode. He’s had the likes of Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson on as a guest in the last few weeks, so there’s no telling as to who he might have on that would topple that.

  • Joe Rogan explains how Elon Musk offering to buy Twitter shows he “cares” – Dexerto

Joe Rogan explains how Elon Musk offering to buy Twitter shows he “cares” The Joe Rogan ExperienceJoe Rogan believes Elon Musk offered to buy Twitter because he “cares” about freedom of speech and is concerned about censorship rather than being motivated purely by financial gain. After Elon Musk invested $3 billion into Twitter and started pitching ideas to improve the platform, the enigmatic billionaire is reportedly considering buying the company outright. He was going to join the board too, but that fell through. Joe Rogan was all for him investing in the company, and during a recent episode of The Joe Rogan experience, he claimed Musk’s desire to buy it is motivated because he “cares” about freedom of speech. “I think he does care. He does. Genuinely,” said Rogan. “He’s concerned about censorship. He said freedom of speech is someone you don’t like saying something you don’t want to hear. He goes, they have to have that right. It’s essential to democracy.” Rogan thinks most people “objectively agree” with Musk. However, he believes they are too “scared” to speak up because they “see how mobs of people can move in a very negative direction” on social media platforms. “They’ve done this campaign over the last few years to silence certain voices and stop aggressive people and stop people being sh***y to people. Some of that is good. But it’s like, where does it end, and how do you know where it ends? You don’t. That’s where it’s weird.” Rogan believes Musk’s decision to make an offer to buy Twitter was motivated by a desire to change that instead of being purely driven by financial gain. However, the board is reportedly planning to stop it from happening. Even if it doesn’t happen, though, Musk remains the largest shareholder in the company today. For that reason, Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal said Musk will still influence the company’s decisions, just to a lesser extent.

  • Joe Rogan dethroned as Spotify number 1 podcast by fellow comedian – Dexerto

Joe Rogan dethroned as Spotify number 1 podcast by fellow comedian YouTube: The Tim Dillon ShowJoe Rogan has been knocked off the top spot on Spotify’s podcast charts, well, at least in one country that is. When Joe Rogan first announced that Spotify had bought the rights to the Joe Rogan Experience and were making it exclusive to their platform, many longtime fans were skeptical about what it would mean for the podcast. Rogan has gone through a few controversies since being exclusive to Spotify, with a number of episodes from his back catalog not being uploaded, and a host of new ones being hit with disclaimers for some of the claims made on there. Despite that, he’s managed to maintain himself as the number one podcast on the platform – bringing in millions of listeners and new subscribers. Though, there are times when he’s knocked off top spot. Joe Rogan beaten to Spotify UK top spot by James Acaster That has happened again, at least in the United Kingdom, as a fellow comedian has toppled Rogan. British comedian James Acaster’s new true crime-comedy podcast, Springleaf, has jumped to the top spot in the UK charts. There have only been two episodes, and it’s not a Spotify exclusive like some of the previous challengers to Rogan’s throne, but the second episode has managed to take the top spot. That comes in the wake of Rogan dominating things after big episodes of the JRE featuring Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and comedian Ralph Barbosa. As noted, Rogan has only been shifted off top spot in the UK charts and maintains his top billing in the US. Though, he has got New Heights from Jason and Travis Kelce hot on his tail there. He’ll likely regain the top spot in the UK when another big episode is released. Plus, Spotify Wrapped 2023 is just around the corner and he’s probably going to dominate that for the most part as well.

  • Joe Rogan dethroned as Spotify’s top podcast by former JRE guest – Dexerto

Joe Rogan dethroned as Spotify’s top podcast by former JRE guest SpotifyThe Joe Rogan Experience was toppled as the top podcast in the US by former Fox News host and JRE guest, Tucker Carlson. On July 25, The Tucker Carlson Show surged to the top spot on Spotify’s top podcast charts, knocking JRE down to second place. The Tucker Carlson Show debuted on Spotify in December 2023, months after the popular Fox News host left the network to start his own show on X, formerly known as Twitter. Carlson’s guests occasionally mirror that of Rogan. For instance, his past episodes have featured the likes of UFC fighter Colby Covington and comedian Tim Dillon. On July 25, Tucker uploaded an episode with former US Presidential candidate Ben Carson. The episode was seemingly enough to put him over the edge, as that same day, his show became Spotify’s top podcast. Rogan even featured Tucker Carlson on his show back in April of 2024 where the two had a lively three-hour conversation. This is hardly the first time that Joe Rogan’d podcast has slipped into second-place in the rankings. Throughout his years on Spotify, a number of creators have briefly managed to secure the top spot. In 2021, The ‘It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia’ crew took the Spotify crown when they debuted ‘The Always Sunny Podcast,’ where the gang provided insight into certain episodes and how they came about. TikTok star Alix Earle also managed to dethrone Rogan back in 2023 when she launched her Hot Mess podcast. In 2024, JRE lost his top ranking to the Kelce brothers and their New Heights podcast after the Kansas City Chiefs made their way to the Super Bowl. It’s not clear how long Tucker will manage to stay on top, especially with Rogan’s history of bouncing back – but for the time being, there’s a new Spotify podcast king.

  • Joe Rogan denied Andrew Tate’s request for JRE Podcast invite years ago – Dexerto

Joe Rogan denied Andrew Tate’s request for JRE Podcast invite years ago Spotify: Joe Rogan/Andrew TateIt has been revealed that Joe Rogan once shut down an attempt to get Andrew Tate booked on the JRE Podcast, long before the controversial personality rose to prominence. The Joe Rogan Experience has grown to become the biggest podcast in the world at this point, regularly topping the charts on Spotify and picking up millions of views on YouTube. It started out as just Rogan speaking with fellow comedians, but guests from all walks of life now appear on the podcast. The UFC commentator does have regular visitors, but he routinely speaks to people in fields that he’s interested in. As it’s become a behemoth in the podcast space, plenty of people have tried to get an invite. Rogan famously shut down attempts from Donald Trump to be a guest during his presidential run, and it’s now been revealed he also did the same to Andrew Tate. Joe Rogan shut down Andrew Tate attempt to get on JRE Podcast The fact was revealed by the Southern Poverty Law Center – SPLC – which is currently investigating the phone of Alex Jones, a regular guest on Rogan’s show, amid claims of bankruptcy. It happened back in 2019, before Tate was as prevalent as he is, as Jones was asked by Tate to pass on a good word to Rogan and “recommend” him for the show. When he did, Rogan shut it down on the basis that he was too busy. “Yeah he’s been trying to get on my podcast for a while,” Rogan responded, according to the SPLC’s findings. “I’m way over booked right now.” Rogan has since been supportive of Tate, who is currently held in custody by Romanian authorities on suspicion of human trafficking, rape, and forming an organized crime group. Tate denies all the allegations. The JRE host also said that the controversial influencer taught “good lessons” before being removed from a number of social media platforms.

Joe Rogan dethroned as number one Spotify podcast by random show’s first episode Spotify: Joe RoganJoe Rogan has, once again, been knocked off the top spot on the Spotify podcast charts by a new show that has come completely out of the blue. For years, way before he decided to sign a deal with Spotify, the Joe Rogan Experience has been the biggest podcast on the internet by a comfortable margin. The UFC commentator has hosted his show since 2009, first starting out as only having fellow comedians on as guests before branching out too all different corners. Now, he has a wide range of familiar faces that pop up to talk about everything you think of – especially when it comes to the weird and wacky side of the internet. That move to Spotify, which netted Rogan a reported $200 million deal, hasn’t had too many knock-on effects for his show. It still brings in massive listener figures after all. Though, there are some times it loses out on top spot on the podcast charts. Joe Rogan overtaken by random new podcast on Spotify As of May 18, that has happened again, with the JRE Podcast falling to second place to the UK chart behind a brand-new podcast known as The Meer Show. What’s weird about this podcast is that it’s only 20 minutes in length and isn’t backed by Spotify like some of the previous challengers to Rogan’s throne. Instead, it’s from Meer Jangi, Grace, and Bailey, three popular figures on TikTok – which has been the launching pad for their podcast. “Over the past 4 weeks we have become trending, gaining up to 25k viewers on our lives at once,” they told Dexerto. “We decided to make the podcast 5 days ago for our followers and then promoted the link from there which boosted our podcast listens and we were able to get really positive feedback from our fans!” It is unusual to see such a random podcast jump right into the top spot, especially when they’ve only got one episode. It hasn’t had the same success on Apple Podcasts, though, only reaching 28 in the UK charts. Ultimately, it likely won’t be long before Rogan takes the top spot back and it is more recognized podcasts that are right up there alongside him.

  • Joe Rogan defends Jake Paul over rigged fights accusations: “He’s f**king good” – Dexerto

Joe Rogan defends Jake Paul over rigged fights accusations: “He’s f**king good” Spotify: Joe Rogan/Instagram: Jake PaulJoe Rogan jumped to the defence of Jake Paul amid claims that his knockout win over Tyron Woodley was staged, with the UFC commentator speaking glowingly about Paul’s boxing skills. Since swapping YouTube for boxing, Jake Paul has created waves in the fight game. On top of some top-level trash talk, he holds an undefeated record that contains a handful of knockout victories. Most recently, the 24-year-old knocked out former UFC Champion Tyron Woodley in their rematch with a devastating hook. However, it didn’t take long for the internet to concoct a few theories about how the fight was rigged from the start. While Jake and his camp have defended themselves from such claims, he’s also got the support of Joe Rogan, who is pretty impressed by his skills now. The podcast phenom and UFC commentator was joined by comedian Tim Dillion for episode 1752 of the Joe Rogan Experience, when Dillion touched on Jake’s foray into the fight game. That gave Joe a chance to praise the social media superstar, even though he had a few concerns about his injuries. “He’s been saying he’s suffering from slurring words and loss of memory already. It doesn’t take long, if you spar a lot… he’s f**king good though,” Rogan said. “People want to pretend he’s not because he’s a YouTube guy, the way he knocked out Tyron Woodley that is f**king skillful and he’s got real f**king power.” He continued: “Meanwhile, the casuals are thinking it’s fake. Have you seen that? They were saying there’s a tell because he moves his hand, and he’s like saying here, here comes a big right hand, Imma hit ya.” Timestamp of 2:25:20 Rogan quickly dismissed the notion that it was fake, or even pre-determined, but noted that taking on one of the UFC’s weaker punchers was a clever move by the Paul camp. He’s spoken previously about how some professional fighters might be a bridge too far for the social media star, but we’ll just have to wait and see who he faces off with next.

  • Joe Rogan defends TikTok star Bryce Hall after Sway House parties – Dexerto

Joe Rogan defends TikTok star Bryce Hall after Sway House parties YouTube: Joe Rogan Experience / Instagram: Bryce HallFollowing TikTok star Bryce Hall’s electricity being shut off at his Hollywood Hills home, Joe Rogan has explained why he thinks that it’s a “slippery slope” for the authorities to go to that extent to punish them. The Sway House and associated influencers received a huge amount of backlash recently when they hosted a party with over 100 attendees for Bryce Hall’s 21st birthday party. On August 19 the LA Mayor’s office announced that they had cut off electricity to the house, due to the “flagrant violation of our public health orders” the huge parties, and others like it, had posed. The reaction to this decision has been broadly mixed, many considering it to be fair justice for the breaking of regulations, but others questioning whether the decision is actually justifiable. Joe Rogan is among the latter group, and went into detail as to why in episode 1529 of the Joe Rogan Experience podcast with Whitney Cummings and Annie Lederman. “Who the f**k are they to tell you you can’t have a party. You have mismanaged this crisis so horribly,” he said, discussing the role the federal and local governments have had to play in the regulating of group sizes. Joe has made no secret of his growing disdain for LA, recently making the decision to move his podcast to Texas. He goes on to express his frustration with the LA mayoral authorities. “The fact that they can shut down these TikTokkers, we should be nervous. Who the f**k are you to say you can shut the power off. You can shut someone’s power off? It’s a slippery slope!” he continued. “You’re saying you have the ability to shut off essentials. Things that keep people alive. You’re saying that you have the ability to tell them how they can live in this house.” Joe’s comments indicate a wider criticism over the course of action decided for the Sway House members, and his questioning of the LA Mayoral authorities seems to have added fuel to the desire to get out of LA.

  • Joe Rogan defends Dave Chappelle over being “cancelled” for Netflix controversy – Dexerto

Joe Rogan defends Dave Chappelle over being “cancelled” for Netflix controversy YouTube: PowerfulJRE / NetflixDuring the JRE podcast, Joe Rogan reacted to Dave Chappelle being cancelled over his controversial Netflix special The Closer. The UFC commentator defended the stand-up comedian’s joke as being “fun.” On October 5, 2021, Dave Chappelle released his sixth and final Netflix special, The Closer. The comedian immediately came under fire from critics after several of his jokes were offensive towards the LGBTQIA+ community. Reacting to the firestorm, Joe Rogan argued that Chappelle was taken out of context as he made fun of “everyone.” The popular UFC commentator also slammed those equating jokes with hatred. Joe Rogan defends Dave Chappelle’s controversial Netflix jokes On October 19, the Spotify host addressed his friend Dave Chappelle being cancelled over his October Netflix special. “He’s just riding out the storm. He’s not a homophobic or transphobic person. He makes fun of himself. It’s fun, it’s just making jokes. That doesn’t mean hate,” he said in defence of the comic. He continued, “This is the problem with today. If you don’t have an enemy, you make an enemy. As the level of people who truly hates you drops, you start looking for equilibrium and what you are upset about. And so now you’re more upset about jokes. Now silence is violence. And now you can’t just be this, you have to be that.” Rogan then praised Chappelle and argued that he isn’t capable of hate. “If you get down to Dave Chappelle’s real feelings, he’s a lovely person,” he said. “He’s one of the nicest people I’ve ever met in my life. He loves everybody. He’s not a hateful soul. He’s just a guy that loves this art form called stand-up comedy.” The JRE creator said that those who found his jokes hateful didn’t pay attention. “Whether you agree with him or not, if you just really pay attention to the overall message, it is in no way transphobic. It’s just not,” he said. “It becomes this weird control level. The concept that there are ideas you can’t make fun of, is dangerous. It’s not good for anybody.” Rogan also claimed some of the people upset were groups trying to take Chappelle down: “He is clearly the most popular comedian on planet earth. So obviously a lot of f**king people like him. So what you want is people to not have access to him. If you want Netflix to take it down, and you say its hateful, this is an incorrect way to do this.” Former and current Netflix employees plan to walk out in protest of Dave Chappelle on October 20. The event is largely aimed at the streaming giant’s co-CEO Ted Sarandos who defended the comedian’s special.

  • Joe Rogan defends Elon Musk amid Tesla plant criticism – Dexerto

Joe Rogan defends Elon Musk amid Tesla plant criticism PowerfulJRE, YouTubePopular podcast host Joe Rogan has defended Elon Musk against recent criticism, after Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu legend Eddie Bravo revealed his doubts about the tech billionaire’s true intentions. Elon Musk, who only recently appeared on the JRE podcast, has received some backlash in April and May of 2020, over his opinions and actions against some of the lockdown measures in California, after revealing he was eager to get back to work. During the latest episode of Joe Rogan’s fight companion on May 16, recurring guest Eddie Bravo, who is known for some of his wild theories, explained his concerns about Elon Musk. Elon Musk recently announced that he would be resuming operations at one of his Tesla plants, despite many critics arguing against it, and Eddie Bravo posited his theory that it could be part of a plan to extend some of the lockdown measures further. While he himself hoped his theory would turn out to be incorrect, Eddie turned to Joe for his opinions on the latest criticisms and theories around the popular entrepreneur. “Eddie you have to listen to his words and see what his actions are,” Joe explained in defense of Musk. “He – against the government of California – opened up his plant. He said, ‘If you’re going to arrest someone, arrest me’.” Topic starts Joe continued to argue on the tech entrepreneur’s behalf, adding, “If you think this is some three-way game it’s ridiculous, the guy invests all his own money in his businesses.” “Think about it, who on the planet is more innovative than that guy, that guy is doing crazy s**t man. He’s digging tunnels to Vegas, he’s shooting rockets into space and making these most-insane electric cars,” Rogan said, later highlighting many of Elon’s accomplishments. However, he then finished up by assuring Eddie and his viewers that he felt like he had a good understanding of the Tesla CEO after meeting with him on multiple occasions. “I’ve talked to the guy a few times Eddie Bravo, he’s a super genius, they exist.” Rogan is clearly a fan of Elon’s work and has invited him to on the podcast twice before with the most recent appearance only days after the birth of the billionaire’s new child.

  • Joe Rogan debuts flashy new Texas podcast studio in latest JRE episode – Dexerto

Joe Rogan debuts flashy new Texas podcast studio in latest JRE episode YouTube: PowerfulJREJoe Rogan has debuted his new Texas podcast studio in Episode 1533 of the Joe Rogan Experience, as he starts his new life outside of Los Angeles. There’s no nickname for it yet, but it may as well be called the “Red Room.” Joe Rogan has finally completed his move from Los Angeles to Texas, and with that comes a change of scenery for his podcast. The Joe Rogan Experience is taking place in a flashy new studio as of Episode 1533. Out with the brick wall with the American flag — there’s a somewhat decidedly more futuristic feel to Rogan’s new set. The new studio has been a long time in the making. In recent weeks, Rogan has been sharing a lot of photos and videos on Instagram walking through the simpler setup. Finally, on September 3, it was “complete and ready to roll.” It’s a much simpler setup. There’s not as many wires and ornaments strayed across the desk. He has replaced his Buddha statue with one of Ganesha, the god of new beginnings and the removal of obstacles in Hindu faith. Rather fitting for his new setup. He invited back an old friend to debut the new studio with — Adam Curry. Last appearing on JRE in March 2020, Curry mentioned that “the only thing better than being on the Joe Rogan show, is being invited back to the Joe Rogan show.” The two didn’t make any small talk about the new setup, but given Rogan has put a lot of time, effort, and money into it, you’d hope he’d be pretty pleased with it. The set has divided Rogan’s fans, however. While some have heaped praise onto the new setup in Texas, others are already begging for Rogan to bring the old set back. “Seriously hate the studio, ruins the whole vibe,” one commenter said. “At this point I’d rather have a greenscreen of the old studio,” said another. While Rogan said he wanted to “go wild with this one,” he might need to tone down on the red lights at least. That seems to be everyone’s big issue with it, but if he fixes that up, the community might go back on his side.

  • Joe Rogan defends Adele following weight loss controversy – Dexerto

Joe Rogan defends Adele following weight loss controversy PowerfulJRE / Adele, InstagramPopular Comedian, podcast host and UFC commentator, Joe Rogan, has defended singer Adele after some commentators actually criticized her for sharing her weight loss progress. Adele is one of the most successful singers in the world, known for hit records such as ‘Hello,’ ‘Rolling in the Deep’ and ‘Someone Like You.’ However, the platinum-selling artist surprisingly received some backlash after sharing a photo on Instagram which revealed her incredible efforts to lose weight. https://www.instagram.com/p/B_1VGc5AsoZ/ A not insignificant number of Adele’s followers criticized her for supposedly conforming to societal beauty standards, but Rogan spoke up in defense of the 32-year-old star. During one of his May 7 podcast, alongside comedian Tony Hinchcliffe, Joe Rogan highlighted her efforts and revealed that he was surprised at the reaction, “so many women were mad when Adele lost all that weight.” “Why wouldn’t you want to applaud someone who did something that’s really difficult to do and is now healthier, if you’re an Adele fan wouldn’t you want her to be healthier?” Rogan asked, confused by the controversy. He later pointed out that people were too harsh to take their issues with “beauty standards” out on the Adele and added that she looked much healthier than she did before. “The only reason why anybody would want to fight against that, when so many people, overwhelmingly, thinks she looks better, is because they don’t want to look at themselves,” he explained. “You can’t decide that the way you look is what everybody should like,” Rogan continued, defending Adele’s decision. “People have decided worldwide that fitter, healthier bodies are more attractive, that’s just what it is. The beauty standards come from what people are attracted to.” He claimed that while it might not be fair how beauty standards are set, it is not right to label them as a “bad thing” and called for people to stop putting “undue pressure” on stars like Adele who decide they want to better themselves in this manner.

  • Joe Rogan criticizes “dumb” Logan Paul slapping contest – Dexerto

Joe Rogan criticizes “dumb” Logan Paul slapping contest Joe Rogan / Logan Paul (YouTube)YouTuber and popular podcast host Joe Rogan was dumbfounded by Logan Paul’s infamous slap when chatting with Eddie Bravo, Bryan Callen and Brendan Schaub. From Vine, to YouTube, to professional boxing, Logan Paul is a man of many talents, including, it turns out, slapping. Slap contests have been popularized in Russia. Essentially, two people will slap each other until one backs down. Indeed, heading to one these previously ‘underground’ contests was all part of Logan’s plan. That is, until he dealt one devastating blow. It was this devastating blow that was the hot topic of conversation with Rogan and his fellow stand-up comedians during his March 14 episode of Fight Companion. After mulling over Paul’s spar with UFC superstar, Paulo Costa, the gang moved onto the potential bout between Logan and Bellator Middleweight, Dillon Danis. However, before diving into the specifics of how the pair would weigh-up, Rogan referenced Paul’s notorious slap. “Did you see Logan slap that guy unconscious?” the podcast host asked. After pulling up the snippet of Logan’s video, Rogan proceeded: “Look at this. Look how preposterous this is… Boom!” the UFC commentator yelled. “Yeah, don’t do that at home kids… That’s a big [knockout],” Rogan stated, before going on to claim that the victim of Paul’s hard hit suffered some form of brain damage. The slap in-question is from Paul’s June 8 (2019) video, which garnered over 16 million views. After taking the full force of Logan’s slap straight to the face, the man fell straight to the ground and appeared unconscious. After coming around, the victim was dazed and appeared to suffer from some kind of short-term memory loss, as he questioned whether or not he’d been slapped. Logan has since resorted to posting a more reserved style of content, with his fast-paced vlogs picking up traction on YouTube. While Rogan and co. were left amazed by Paul’s power, Danis has labeled the YouTuber “embarrassing” as he’s vowed to beat him in a boxing match.

Joe Rogan & Dave Portnoy claim rooting for Andrew Tate’s demise is “crazy” YouTube: PowerfulJREJoe Rogan and Dave Portnoy have explained why they think it “crazy” for people to root for Andrew Tates demise as the latter is currently detained on alleged human trafficking charges and more. On December 30, 2022, Andrew Tate was arrested in Romania on charges of human trafficking, rape, and organized crime when the Directorate for Investigating Organized Crime and Terrorism raided his house. He has remained detained since the arrest — and will be for at least 30 days — leading those against Andrew Tate to take to social media to root for his possible demise. During a recent episode of The Joe Rogan Experience with Dave Portnoy as the guest, Rogan and Portnoy explained why they think its “crazy” people are rooting for Tate’s demise. Portnoy & Rogan say rooting for Andrew Tate’s demise is “crazy” While talking about Tate during the podcast, Dave Portnoy and Joe Rogan began talking about his recent charges in Romania and how people are rooting for him to be locked away for a long time. “You’re still crazy to root for that because you’re not thinking about the victims. Basically, that means a lot of people were hurt,” Dave said. Joe responded: “It means that if it’s true, they want him to be punished. But hoping that it is true when it isn’t true is not good either. It’s horrible because you were hoping for people to be victimized.” (Topic starts at 9:55 in the video) Andrew Tate wasn’t the only one arrested either. His brother Tristan and two other unnamed people are also currently detained on similar charges. It’s unknown what will happen to the controversial influencer next, but we’ll be sure to update you as the story unfolds. • Joe Rogan credits Spotify for not canceling JRE podcast deal despite pressure – Dexerto

Joe Rogan credits Spotify for not canceling JRE podcast deal despite pressure Spotify/Joe RoganPodcast giant Joe Rogan gave Spotify credit for not bailing on their mega deal with his JRE Podcast in 2021 after the streaming platform came under pressure to do so. At the end of 2020, Joe Rogan made a massive step in taking his podcast to new levels by signing a mega exclusivity deal with Spotify, as the streaming service is the only place to find full-length episodes of the JRE shows. While the deal has been a success for both parties, Spotify has taken flak for pushing Rogan in such a major way, especially amid allegations of racist remarks made by the UFC commentator in past podcasts. Throughout 2021, and through parts of 2022, Spotify has been pushed to drop their deal with Rogan, but they haven’t done so. There have been changes made to the show – some episodes now have content warnings and some have been removed – but the podcast host retains creative control. Joe Rogan credits Spotify for sticking with him One of Spotify’s main defenses of Rogan has been that they won’t and can’t censor rappers or other artists on their platform, which the podcast host praised them for. Speaking with comedian Paul Virzi on episode 1843, Rogan claimed that trying to get someone fired has become “a new sport” for some. “They love to attack someone’s sponsors… They’ll go after their sponsors or try to get their videos removed from YouTube,” Rogan said. “It only really works if companies give into it. To Spotify’s credit, one of the brilliant things that they did was nothing. They just said ‘you know we’re not going to censor rappers. We’re not going to stop them from saying what they want to say. We’re not going to stop Joe, either. This is what he does, this is what he’s always done, we’re going to leave him alone.’” Timestamp of 1:02:20 Rogan’s deal with Spotify reportedly runs through 2023, and there has yet to be any word about an extension – though it has proven to be a solid investment for the streaming platform. It remains to be seen if they’ll up their investment, but it seems pretty plausible that they’ll do so.

  • Joe Rogan cries laughing at Chris Distefano’s wild story about New York Mets owner – Dexerto

Joe Rogan cries laughing at Chris Distefano’s wild story about New York Mets owner YouTube/JREJoe Rogan was in tears after learning how comedian Chris Distefano became friends with New York Mets owner Steve Cohen by completely bombing at a private event. Chris Distefano appeared on the Joe Rogan Experience wearing a New York Mets jersey and explained the outrageous reason he became a fan, leaving Joe in stitches. According to Distefano, Steve Cohen’s wife had hired him to perform some standup at a private 60th birthday event and was expecting the sports team owner’s entire family to be there. Instead, the comedian had to deal with just Cohen and his ten of his friends who had no idea comedy was even supposed to happen. “A sixty-year-old billionaire doesn’t know who the f**k I am,” he explained, which got a groan out of Rogan. Distefano further explained that the entire setup didn’t include a microphone or any lights, just a small room with ten guys eating dinner. To make matter worse, Cohen’s assistant even claimed that “it doesn’t feel like they’re gonna like you,” which made Joe burst out laughing. Eventually, Chris tried doing his bit, but failed horribly, with some of the men chirping him and even throwing a piece of shrimp at him. However, Cohen stepped up, offering to double the comedian’s pay if he was able to make him laugh with his best five minutes. After trying his David Letterman set, Cohen actually laughed and agreed to double his pay, but not before the comedian was asked to sign a bunch of NDAs about the event. Distefano suspected that the NDAs were due to the location and time of the private event and proceeded to discuss it the next day on his own podcast with Sal Vulcano – which resulted in him getting threats by Cohen’s legal team. However, Cohen’s family was a big fan of the podcast and had sent him private Instagram DMs praising him and sure enough, the lawyers backed off. “The family now has become friends of mine,” Chris explained, recalling how he’s been able to attend games for free. During one event, Steve even gave the comedian a chance to redeem himself by doing a set during a rain delay, but that ended up being a disaster too. “Oh my God,” Rogan broke down in hysterics learning how Distefano had bombed at the Mets game while wearing a floral shirt and a small microphone attached to his clothing. “I’m bombing in front of 30,000. Steve Cohen and his friends, by the way, are dying laughing cause they knew it was going to happen. And Steve goes, ‘you’re alright man.’” Luckily, despite the two horrible sets, Distefano ended up making a pretty high-profile friend in the process – something that Joe Rogan absolutely lost his mind over.

  • Joe Rogan claims Jake Paul vs Hasim Rahman Jr. was canceled as “no one” wanted to see it – Dexerto

Joe Rogan claims Jake Paul vs Hasim Rahman Jr. was canceled as “no one” wanted to see it Spotify: Joe Rogan Experience / Instagram: Jake PaulIn the fallout of yet another canceled event as Jake Paul vs Hasim Rahman Jr. has been called off, Joe Rogan believes this one boils down to a lack of interest at the box office. Despite having just five fights to his name in his brief combat sports career, Paul has already dealt with multiple opponent swaps and event shuffles. He and Tommy Fury were initially set to clash in 2021 before plans fell through and Tyron Woodley stepped in. The two were then linked to a fight once again in 2022 with a date at Madison Square Garden set for August 6. History repeated itself, however, as Fury backed out of the fight a second time. While 12-1 pro boxer Hasim Rahman Jr. took the challenge as a short-notice replacement, he ultimately couldn’t make the date due to weight-cut disputes. While Fury’s troubles are one thing, veteran UFC commentator Joe Rogan believes this latest contest wasn’t actually called off for the reasons cited. Although it may have played a factor, the more critical reason is a general lack of interest in the matchup, he argued on the August 2 episode of his JRE podcast. “Most likely it was canceled for numerous reasons,” Rogan said when discussing the scrapped PPV. “[Weight issues] may have been one of them, but the allegations I’m hearing are that they sold so few tickets that it would be a real problem financially.” Having booked Madison Square Garden for the August 6 event, Paul initially planned to throw down against Fury, a highly anticipated matchup featuring two big draws. However, with Rahman Jr. added to the mix instead, the ‘world’s most famous arena’ now seemed too ambitious for the fight, according to Rogan. “They had only sold a million dollars worth of tickets,” he claimed. “If you want to turn the lights on in Madison Square Garden, it costs half a million dollars. You have to sell a lot of tickets if you want to make some money at MSG.” Despite his best efforts to amp things up and keep fans interested, Paul’s PPV event was ultimately called off just one week out on July 31. For Rogan’s money, there was no heat behind the matchup to draw fans in. “Who the f***wanted to see that fight?” Nobody wanted to see that fight.” As for what Paul does next, we’ll have to wait and see. With Rahman Jr. out of the equation, and a third attempt at the Fury match quite unlikely, it leaves the social media star with limited options.

  • Joe Rogan claims he’s gained 900k Twitter followers but something’s wrong – Dexerto

Joe Rogan claims he’s gained 900k Twitter followers but something’s wrong Spotify: Joe Rogan/TwitterPodcast giant Joe Rogan claims he’s gained around 900,000 new followers on Twitter since Elon Musk’s takeover bid, however, the stats tell a different story on that front. At the end of April, Elon Musk revealed that he’d tabled a $44 billion deal to purchase Twitter outright after splashing out $3 billion to take up around 9% of the company’s shares. Musk’s announcement sent shock waves across the internet, with many praising him for trying to take over Twitter and implement some changes. However, to this point, the South African business magnate has not yet completed his purchase – and has even threatened to fold the deal over details surrounding bots on Twitter. Joe Rogan, who has had Musk on his podcast before, was one of those who spoke out in support of the move, claiming it’d be the shake-up the platform needed. Now, he’s revealed things have been a bit weird for him since then. The UFC commentator was joined by Meghan Murphy during episode 1830 of the JRE Podcast, as the pair discussed Musk’s deal and how it’s already shaken up the platform. “One of the weird things that is happening now, with Elon Musk buying Twitter or attempting to buy Twitter, they’ve done something different. And one of the things they’ve done different is, I’ve gained, now it’s 900,000 followers in a month or so,” Rogan said, claiming he was “in a box” of some kind. He admitted that the spike may have been a result of bots, but claimed that every time he looks at Twitter, he’s gained “another hundred thousand” followers and it’s one platform that “grows faster than anything for him.” While Rogan has certainly seen some growth on Twitter since the start of April, the numbers aren’t quite what he claims. According to SocialBlade, he gained over 358,000 new followers in April and a further 270,000 in May. Even added together, those figures don’t come close to 900,000. Rogan has been slightly more active on the platform in the last weeks, promoting his comedy tour and posting links to his Instagram, but he’s hardly having viral tweets that would be associated with an explosion in growth. So, who knows.

  • Joe Rogan claims he’s had massive subscriber boost despite Spotify controversies – Dexerto

Joe Rogan claims he’s had massive subscriber boost despite Spotify controversies Spotify/Joe RoganUFC commentator and podcast giant Joe Rogan claimed that his Joe Rogan Experience show gained a few million subscribers during the height of his recent controversies, though, not everyone is buying it. In the last few years, the Joe Rogan Experience podcast has grown to become arguably the biggest podcast in the world. So much so that Spotify snapped the show up in a reported $200 million exclusivity deal. Since the move to Spotify, though, Rogan’s show has increasingly been put under the microscope, with plenty of calls for the streaming service to rip up the deal. Those calls only intensified at the start of 2022, with Rogan coming under fire for allegations of racism due to previous comments he’d made. A number of artists turned their back on Spotify because of Rogan’s involvement, also blasting his “public misinformation” regarding the global health situation. Though, according to the podcast host, he’d seen plenty of success on the back of all that. The claims came during episode 1807, as Rogan spoke to repeat guest Douglas Murray about how life has changed since the last time the pair spoke. Read More: YouTuber Trevor Jacob stripped of pilot certificate after allegedly crashing plane on purpose – Murray noted that the podcast host had been “through the wringer” in regards to backlash about his show, with Rogan quickly agreeing. Though, he noted that it hadn’t all been too bad for him. “Yeah, I definitely got put through the wringer. They did, it’s interesting, but my subscriptions went up massively,” Rogan said. “That’s what crazy. During the height of it all, I gained two million subscribers.” The podcast host didn’t expand on that claim, moving swiftly on to other topics. Timestamp of 4:40 While Rogan suggested that his growth had boomed in a way, that claim has been disputed by some. As per the Hollywood Reporter’s sources, the JRE Podcast has been growing “consistently” since joining Spotify but “hasn’t spiked” due to one particular moment or at a point in time. Considerable changes have been made to the JRE Podcast in the wake of the backlash, though, it continues to be the most popular show on the airwaves. Rogan has stated previously that he’d quit the show and his Spotify deal if he has to walk on eggshells, though, doesn’t look like it’ll happen anytime soon.

Joe Rogan claims bodybuilding “doesn’t exist” without steroids Joe RoganJoe Rogan claimed on a recent episode of his Joe Rogan Experience podcast that the bodybuilding scene, as we know it, wouldn’t be possible without the use of steroids. Rogan has been around the world of fitness for awhile, first being involved in UFC and now often discussing health topics on his popular JRE podcast. During a recent episode with journalist Mariana van Zeller, the pair were discussing steroids in sports, when Rogan claimed modern bodybuilding “doesn’t exist” without the use of the muscle-enhancing drugs. “Bodybuilding doesn’t exist, it doesn’t exist,” Rogan claimed. “Bodybuilding with steroids exists, but not regular bodybuilding.” He went on to say that he had a good friend that competes but doesn’t use steroids, and even they weren’t in the same league as people who do when it comes to competitions. Another example was bodybuilding legend Ronnie Coleman, who told Rogan on a past episode when he was a guest that he only started doing steroids at 30, after he realized he couldn’t beat the guys that were. “He was honest about it, ‘I couldn’t compete because I was getting my butt kicked,’ then he started taking them,” the host said. “There are people that walk around, they don’t even look like humans, they look like walls with feet.” Van Zeller explained that steroids are incredibly widespread in the community, and even promoted by some influencers in the bodybuilding scene, which makes sense, given the inhuman proportions some of its enthusiasts are able to achieve. This was no surprise to Joe, who obviously admires bodybuilders, but is also a bit skeptical (as any regular-sized person would be) of what they do to themselves. “They’re like sculptors, in a way it is kind of an art form,” he mused. “What they’re doing is freakish, but they’re all into it, they all love it.” To be clear, Rogan was in no way endorsing the use of steroids or performance-enhancing drugs (making sure to make it a point that they’re banned from the UFC), but obviously found it fascinating how widespread they are in bodybuilding, despite the health risks.

Joe Rogan claims Chris Pratt gets online hate due to being Christian YouTube: PowerfulJRE / Jimmy Kimmel LiveJoe Rogan defended Chris Pratt during the JRE podcast over hate he claims the Hollywood actor receives due to his Christian faith. Following the announcement that Chris Pratt had landed roles as both Mario and Garfield in two upcoming animated films, the popular actor has received backlash on social media. According to Joe Rogan, the Hollywood star is being unfairly singled out due to his religion. The podcast comedian argued that him being Christian is a big reason he’s hated. Joe Rogan claims Chris Pratt is bullied online for being Christian During the December 14 JRE podcast episode, Joe Rogan opened up about how he believed Hollywood actor Chris Pratt was being harassed online for being openly Christian. “Even Chris Pratt gets into trouble because he’s Christian,” he said. “He’s the nices f**king guy I have ever met in my life.” When Rogan’s guest brought up popular memes made about the actor, the podcast host snapped, “I don’t give a f**k what they are saying about him. They’re all insane people. What it is, is a bully pile on. These people see someone being vulnerable and they snipe at him. He hasn’t done nothing.” The UFC commentator then reiterated his claim that Pratt was being singled out. “He’s one of the rare guys in Hollywood. He’s a Christian, and pretty open about it. And because of that, they attack him,” he said. “It’s something so simple as he just believes in Jesus and he likes to be a good person. And they are just like “F**K HIM!” Joe Rogan also shared positive experiences he’s had with the actor and praised him for how he treats others. “I’ve seen him interact with people and he’s super normal. He’s super kind and fun to be around. He talks with everyone, all walks of life.” The Spotify podcast host revealed that he had been on a few hunting trips with Chris Pratt in Utah in the past. Based on his strong defense of the Guardians of the Galaxy lead, perhaps we will see the star as a guest on his JRE podcast one day.

Joe Rogan claims being a UFC ref is one of the hardest jobs in the sport YouTube: PowerfulJREPodcaster and UFC commentator Joe Rogan has explained in an episode of the JRE podcast with Mark Smith, that being a referee is one of the hardest jobs in the sport, calling it “so much harder than anything other than fighting.” Joe Rogan is one of the most popular podcasters online, boasting over 10 million subscribers on his YouTube channel. The star himself has even remarked that the podcast is the “biggest thing he’s done,” which says a lot when looking through his career highlights. From 1997 onwards, Rogan has been a commentator and interview for MMA organization UFC, and in episode 1605 of the podcast, he brought on UFC referee Mark Smith to talk about their experiences in the sport. In a discussion about early stoppages, he remarked on how tough it can be to make the decision to halt a fight, at risk of both the fighters and the audience getting angry. After Mark explained how it’s “the worst feeling in the world” to stop a fight either too early or too late, Joe said that he considered being a referee to be “such a difficult job, so much harder than anything other than fighting.” Topic starts at 1:15 “Judging is kinda hard, but they can hide. Like, you’re on TV,” he said to Mark, “you’re right there. If it happens, and if it’s you that makes a bad call, then all the hate comes your way.” He also spoke highly of the UFC referee, saying, “it’s a very difficult job, but you do it well, you do it excellent, you’re one of the best.” Rogan also recalled the fight between Tim Sylvia and Frank Mir in 2004, in which referee Herb Dean stopped the fight after Sylvia’s arm broke. Joe revealed that the audience was booing the decision to stop the fight until he showed them a graphic video of the incident. Topic starts at 3:35 The conversation between the two UFC stars proved to be an insight into the complicated world of refereeing, from two people who have been right at the center of the action.

  • Joe Rogan claims Bill Gates shouldn’t give health advice as he has “man boobs and a gut” – Dexerto

Joe Rogan claims Bill Gates shouldn’t give health advice as he has “man boobs and a gut” YouTube: PowerfulJRE / Mark RoberDuring the JRE podcast, Joe Rogan argued that Bill Gates has no right to lecture people on healthy diets. The UFC commentator called out the Microsoft billionaire for having a “dough” body. Emerging from a whirlwind of controversies at the beginning of February 2022, Joe Rogan has shown no signs of slowing down when it comes to diving into serious topics. In JRE episode #1784, the Spotify host took aim at Bill Gates. While discussing diet research, he hit out at the Microsoft co-founder for pushing plant-based alternatives as a sole replacement for meat. Rogan argued that the 66-year-old billionaire shouldn’t be lecturing others due to his “pi** poor” health. Joe Rogan is critical of Bill Gates’ health For the latest JRE podcast, the comedian sat down with dietician Diana Rodgers and Biochemist Rob Wolf to discuss the modern trend of research pushing for the elimination of all meat from daily diets. The conversation then shifted to Bill Gates being one of the main proponents of these studies. In response, Rogan questioned whether the billionaire was making a profit. “Bill Gates keeps saying we got to eat less meat. And we got to cut our consumption of meat out to be healthy. And that we are going to get used to these meat alternatives,” he said. “When a guy like that says that I’m like, “are you making money because of this? Why are you saying that?” He then criticized Gates’ body. “By the way, you look like s**t. Because if you’re eating those plant-based burgers or whatever the f**k you’re doing, you are obese,” he continued. “A guy like Bill Gates telling people when he’s got these breasts and this gut. And I’m like, this is crazy, you’re one of the richest guys on earth. You have access to the best nutrients, you could be in phenomenal shape. You’re giving out public health advice, and you are sick.” (Topic starts at 4:59) The podcaster’s criticism didn’t stop there as he further argued that Gates has no business weighing on health advice. “It’s literally a non-athlete trying to coach professionals. What the f**k are you talking about?” he asked. “How are you giving any health advice when you look like that? Your health is PI** POOR!” While Rogan admitted he was not a health professional, he argued that he could tell the 66-year-old wasn’t in the best shape based on how he looked. “I’m not a doctor. But when you’ve got man boobs and a gut and you got these toothpick arms, I’m like, “Hey buddy, you’re not healthy.”

  • Joe Rogan challenges Katt Williams to appear on JRE podcast at last – Dexerto

Joe Rogan challenges Katt Williams to appear on JRE podcast at last Spotify/Joe RoganJoe Rogan has urged fellow comedian Katt Williams to appear on the JRE Podcast after he claimed that Joe only has “6 comedians” regularly on the show. When the Joe Rogan Experience podcast first started out, it was mostly about Rogan and his fellow comedians debriefing their recent shows and trying out some new material with each other. Over the years, that has changed as Rogan has branched out into pretty much every corner of the internet, but he’s retained plenty of comedic aspects. The likes of Joey Diaz, Shane Gillis, and Tom Segura regularly appear on the podcast – especially if they have shows coming up. Rogan has had pretty much every big name in comedy on his show, but has been accused by Katt Williams of just having a shallow rotation as the comic has not appeared despite his massive popularity. Joe Rogan invites Katt Williams onto JRE podcast after call out Williams, who is one of the biggest comedians in the US, called Rogan out in early 2024 for not inviting him onto the JRE, claiming Joe “don’t want me on there” and that he only wants to push “six comedians” at times. Well, Rogan has repeatedly invited his fellow comic to appear on the podcast since, including a shoutout on episode 2089 with Joey Diaz. “I love Katt, he did that interview saying I wouldn’t have him on, I was like ‘what are you talking about?’ I’ll have you on,” the JRE host said. “Let’s go, anytime. Whenever you want to come by, call me – I will fire this place up at three in the morning for you, I’ll wake up.” It’s not the first time that the UFC commentator has addressed Williams’ claims either. He previously tweeted that he was open to having his fellow comic appear on the podcast and put the ball firmly in his court. Whether or not Williams takes him up on the offer remains to be seen, but nothing is stopping it from happening now.

  • Joe Rogan chokes up explaining Brendan Schaub’s UFC struggles: “It was so hard” – Dexerto

Joe Rogan chokes up explaining Brendan Schaub’s UFC struggles: “It was so hard” Spotify: Joe Rogan/YouTube: imPaulsiveUFC and Mixed Martial Arts is a regular topic of conversation on the Joe Rogan Podcast but when he got to talking about his pal Brendan Schaub struggling in the Octagon, Rogan was overcome with emotions. Since its inception back in 2009, the Joe Rogan Experience has become one of the biggest podcasts in the world as the UFC Commentator and his eclectic set of guests get into a wide range of topics. Given his background and links to Mixed Martial Arts, it’s not uncommon to hear Rogan and one of his guests breaking down a recent fight or going over memories of how they first started watching the UFC. That’s exactly what happened when Rogan’s pal Bert Kreischer joined him on episode #1712 but as they got onto talking about Joe having to be impartial, he was hit with a wave of emotion mentioning Brendan Schaub’s struggles in the Octagon. Schaub, a former UFC Fighter with a 10-5 record, is no stranger to appearing on the JRE podcast and even announced his retirement on an episode in 2015. That retirement came as he struggled in the UFC, losing his final two fights to Andrei Arlovski and Travis Browne – with the latter being an uncomfortable TKO that Rogan commentated on. Bringing up his UFC career got the podcaster going. “Talking about the fights, I try to be as neutral as possible and that’s why it was insanely hard when Brendan Schaub was fighting,” Rogan said. “Watching Schaub get beat up… it was so hard for me, it was so hard,” he added, getting a little choked up and needing a moment. “Because, I genuinely love that dude and I saw where this was going and I was like ‘s**t, you’ve got to get out now.’ There is a point of no return when a guy starts getting KO’d by giants.” Topic starts at 1:27:30 Ultimately, Rogan was able to compose himself and continue talking about his pals transition from being a Knockout of the Night winner to a successful podcast host and comedian. It’s the not first time he’s gotten choked up talking about a friend, and it probably won’t be the last either, but it’s a side of Rogan that rarely comes out.

  • Joe Rogan explains why Anderson Silva could beat Jake Paul in October fight – Dexerto

Joe Rogan explains why Anderson Silva could beat Jake Paul in October fight Spotify: Joe Rogan/Instagram: Jake PaulUFC commentator and podcast host Joe Rogan explained why he’s excited to see Jake Paul fight Anderson Silva and why ‘The Spider’ could finally defeat the YouTuber-turned-boxer. Jake Paul will be making his long-awaited return to the ring this October when he does battle with one of the greatest mixed martial artists in history – Anderson Silva. It’s well documented at this point that Jake Paul was supposed to fight in August – first against Tommy Fury, and then against Hasim Rahman Jr. – but that didn’t happen. Instead, the YouTuber-turned-boxer has been left looking at making his return to the ring in October, fighting UFC legend Anderson ‘The Spider’ Silva – who has also made his own waves in boxing, picking up a 3-1 record so far. Joe Rogan weighs in on Jake Paul vs Anderson Silva fight During his Fight Companion show for the UFC’s September 3 card in Paris, Rogan was asked for his thoughts on the fight between Jake and Anderson – seeing as he’s a pretty big fan of both of them. “I love it!” Joe answered. “If Jake Paul really decides to fight Anderson, that’s a very, very, very tough fight.” Brendan Schaub, one of Joe’s guests for the show, noted that he’d previously pushed Jake to fight Anderson rather than calling out Michael Bisping for a bout in the ring. “Jake Paul is one of the smartest marketers that the sport has ever seen and he can fight – he’s got balls! And, the thing is, people think he’s this YouTube guy and he can’t fight… look at the way he knocked out Tyron Woodley,” the JRE host added. “Come the f**k on. I have said this multiple times, if that guy was just a boxer and you’d never known anything about his YouTube background and you saw him knock out Tyron Woodley with one shot, you’d be like holy sh*t there’s this new guy coming up and he’s a bad motherf**ker. He’s really legit.” Since retiring from the UFC, Anderson is undefeated in professional boxing with a split decision win over Julio César Chávez Jr and a first round KO against Tito Ortiz. “Anderson, if he just went straight into boxing, would have been a f**king world champion!” Rogan beamed. Jake Paul vs Anderson Silva is scheduled for October 29th in Phoenix, Arizona. Be sure to keep it locked to Dexerto for all the latest leading up to the pay-per-view event.

  • Joe Rogan can’t believe Logan Paul still hasn’t been paid for Floyd Mayweather fight – Dexerto

Joe Rogan can’t believe Logan Paul still hasn’t been paid for Floyd Mayweather fight Spotify: Joe Rogan/Amanda Westcott for SHOWTIMEJoe Rogan was left a bit stunned when he noted that Logan Paul has yet to be paid in full for his fight with Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather, even though it happened almost a year ago. When Logan Paul and Floyd Mayweather revealed that they’d be fighting, plenty of pundits, fans, and fighters gave the YouTuber absolutely no chance against the boxing icon. Their exhibition bout, which happened back in June of 2021, ultimately ended up as a draw, with the fight going the scheduled eight rounds despite some heavy shots. Despite the fight happening such a long time ago, Logan is still waiting to be paid in full for his part. The YouTuber, who revealed that he’s gotten some of the money but not all of it, is locked in a lawsuit to try and get paid. He’s even urged Floyd to pay him with the money he’s making from his upcoming fight with Don Moore. It was a topic Joe Rogan and BJ Penn flagged on episode 123 of the JRE MMA podcast, as the pair praised the UFC for making sure that fighters are paid on time. Rogan noted that he’d been speaking to MMA coaches who had fighters in their ranks that had been considering a switch to boxing, but urged them not to do it because of how difficult it is to get paid. “Like, right now, Logan Paul still hasn’t gotten paid for fighting Floyd Mayweather,” Rogan said, pretty exasperated. “Mike Tyson had some real serious issue about his money, Roy Jones Jr had some serious issue about his money. There’s problems with boxing and money, with the wrong promoters. You get with the right promoters, everything is smooth… you never hear about Canelo not getting paid.” Timestamp of 2:50:30 As Logan has noted himself, he’s unsure who still owes him the money from the fight, but he’s not backed down from airing the dirty laundry about it all. It remains to be seen if, or when, he’ll get paid for his efforts, but he’s got plenty of people on his side hoping that he finally gets the bag.

  • Joe Rogan called “two-faced” to Kanye West after old clips go viral – Dexerto

Joe Rogan called “two-faced” to Kanye West after old clips go viral Joe Rogan, YouTubePopular podcast host Joe Rogan has been accused of being “fake” in his three-hour interview with Grammy-award winning artist Kanye West, after old clips of him being critical of the rapper resurfaced online. After Joe Rogan and Kanye West first revealed they would be doing a podcast together, it was delayed on multiple occasions. But they finally sat down together on October 24, to record the highly-anticipated JRE episode, which lasted for just under three hours. While the podcast episode was a hit, racking up over 10 million views in a week, and remaining on top of YouTube’s trending tab, a video compiling old takes from Joe Rogan about Kanye has spread. The podcast saw the pair cover a large variety of topics, such as Kanye’s decision to run as a presidential candidate, his struggles with the music industry, his plans for the future, and even Star Wars. Joe Rogan was quite agreeable throughout the episode, only stopping to challenge the rapper on certain topics, but he has now received backlash for his approach, with some calling him “fake.” Shortly after the podcast was released, one YouTuber Crying Shark compiled clips from previous JRE episodes with snippets from the latest podcast, highlighting Rogan’s difference in opinion about Kanye. The old clips featured Rogan commenting on Kanye and his controversies in recent years, in some parts even mocking the star for his decision making or struggles with the media. There are plenty of comments on the compilation video criticizing the podcast host. Some viewers even called him “two-faced” and “arrogant” for being friendly with Yeezy founder during the show. It is worth noting that many viewers have also defended Rogan, adding that many of the clips taken from previous interviews were years old and that he may have now changed his opinion on the rapper. In previous podcasts, Joe Rogan revealed that he has had numerous phone calls with Kanye West prior to him appearing on the show but it is still unclear just how friendly the two are off-camera.

In one of the first episodes after the firestorm, Rogan called the criticism a “relief” and claimed that the recent outrage was a “political hit job.” “In a lot of ways, all this is a relief” Joe Rogan addresses the ongoing cancel mob’s “political hit job” and why he apologized. pic.twitter.com/NPDwdDYFiv — Mythinformed (@MythinformedMKE) February 8, 2022 In the February 8 episode, Rogan claimed the video that had caused so much controversy had “always been out there,” and it getting him “canceled” was almost a relief. “In a lot of ways, all of this is a relief, because that video has always been out there,” the host said. “It’s like, this is a political hit job, and so they’re taking all this stuff I’ve ever said that’s wrong and smush it all together.” Rather than being a bad thing though, Rogan said he was actually looking at this whole episode as a positive. “It’s good, because it makes me address some s**t that I wish wasn’t out there,” he continued. “I don’t think there’s anything wrong with apologizing, but I do think you have to be very careful to not apologize for nonsense.” After Rogan apologized for his past comments, the drama didn’t stop. The Rock is just one who took back his praise, and there was plenty of other criticism, as well. Despite all the backlash though, Spotify has defended the embattled host, and won’t be removing his show from the platform. Political hit job or not, it doesn’t seem Rogan is going anywhere anytime soon.

  • Joe Rogan breaks silence on Spotify controversy with new disclaimer promises – Dexerto

Joe Rogan breaks silence on Spotify controversy with new disclaimer promises YouTube: JRE / SpotifyJoe Rogan has broken his silence over the controversy that has seen artists like Neil Young and Joni Mitchell boycott Spotify because of his podcast, claiming that he’s “very sorry” and disclaimers will be added soon. Joe Rogan has come under fire for spreading misinformation on his podcasts in recent months after having controversial guests whose opinions on important topics differ from the scientific consensus on his show. This prompted a wave of singers, including Neil Young and Joni Mitchell, to boycott Spotify for allowing him to do this. They demanded that their music be removed from their platform, which sparked a movement on social media. Rogan has remained tight-lipped on the situation. However, he finally broke his silence on January 30 and said he’s “very sorry” about the situation and that Spotify will add disclaimer messages to controversial episodes, which he’s on board with. “Because of this controversy, Neil Young has removed his music from Spotify,” he said. “Joni Mitchell and some other people want to as well. I’m very sorry that they feel that way. I most certainly don’t want that. I’m a Neil Young fan. I’ve always been a Neil Young fan. “One of the things Spotify wants to do, which I agree with, is put a disclaimer and say that these people and the opinions that they express are contrary to the consensus of experts. I think that’s very important.” He also said that he plans to make some changes, like having more experts with different opinions on the controversial ones. “I’d most certainly be open to doing that. I want to talk to some people that have differing opinions..” Finally, he reiterated his point that the podcasts are “just conversations,” and because of that, he sometimes has “no idea” what he’s going to talk about until he sits down. “That’s why some of my ideas are not that prepared or fleshed out because I’m literally having them in real-time.” View this post on Instagram Rogan thanked Spotify for supporting him throughout the backlash and apologized for the “heat” he’s put them through. He said: “I want to thank Spotify for being so supportive during this time. I’m very sorry this is happening to them and that they’re taking so much heat from it.” Spotify also confirmed the news. “It’s become clear that we have an obligation to do more to provide balance and access to widely-accepted information from the medical and scientific communities guiding us through this unprecedented time. These issues are incredibly complex. We’ve heard you.”

  • Joe Rogan brings back Carnivore Diet for 2022 with a twist – Dexerto

Joe Rogan brings back Carnivore Diet for 2022 with a twist Instagram/JoeRoganFamous podcast host and UFC commentator Joe Rogan has announced the return of his famous Carnivore Diet for 2022, but this time he’s spicing things up a bit. Joe Rogan marked both January 2020 and 2021 by embarking on the Carnivore Diet in honor of World Carnivore Month. The Carnivore Diet is, as you might expect given the name, one where participants strictly eat meat or animal products such as milk and eggs for the entire month. Basically, it’s the opposite of being a vegan. Awesome. But for this go-around, Rogan will be adding his own unique touch to switch things up a tad. View this post on Instagram Joe Rogan adds fruits to Carnivore Diet In a post on Instagram, the former Fear Factor host explained how he plans on changing things up while still celebrating the month by eating lots of meat. “January is World Carnivore Month. This time I’m adding fruit to this diet,” he revealed. “Just meat and fruit for the whole month.” A little bit of sweetness could end up packing on just the extra kick Rogan is looking for, but it’s unclear how this will affect him. In 2020, the podcaster lost a whopping 12 pounds, but admitted he had “ruthlessly explosive diarrhea for the first couple weeks” while partaking in it. Commenters, however, are pleased with Rogan’s change. “I’m with you on this,” said fitness coach Mike Dolce. “A carnivore diet is ineffective as compared to an omnivorous diet. Adding high net nutrient fruit (and produce) to animal-based products is ideal.” We’ll have to see what happens with Joe Rogan this time around and if he has better results adding fruit to his meals in addition to meat.

However, he’s not limiting his athletic options to boxing only; the star has also set his sights on the world of professional wrestling, first appearing in WWE’s Friday Night SmackDown last year. Most recently, the eldest Paul brother scored an in-ring debut at WrestleMania 38 for a tag team showdown alongside The Miz. • Joe Rogan blown away by MrBeast’s “brilliant” YouTube plan with foreign channels – Dexerto

Joe Rogan blown away by MrBeast’s “brilliant” YouTube plan with foreign channels Spotify: The Joe Rogan ExperienceJoe Rogan was shocked by Jimmy ‘MrBeast’ Donaldson’s “crazy” YouTube strategy that sees his main channel videos translated into other languages, calling it a “brilliant idea.” Rogan is no stranger to finding success on the internet. With one of the biggest podcasts in the world today, his content is consumed by millions around the world every week. Prior to the Spotify move, YouTube happened to be one of his biggest platforms with over 12 million subscribers on his ‘PowerfulJRE’ channel alone. Yet even Rogan was blown away when YouTube star MrBeast joined the show and revealed his strategy. While his main channel is currently the fifth biggest on the video-sharing platform with over 90 million subscribers, it’s a drop in the bucket compared to his overall reach. “Across everything, we’re closing in on 200 million subscribers,” he said, much to Rogan’s surprise. This immense growth comes largely as a result of his efforts in “other languages,” MrBeast explained. While videos may begin purely in English with the usual cast of characters seen across his channel, MrBeast has recently gone to the effort of hitting new audiences around the globe. From French to Russian, much of his content can now be found in multiple languages on YouTube. The internet celeb even teased a popular anime voice actor will be leading the way for his upcoming Japanese channel. “These are the exact same videos on my main channel. We pay voice actors to dub over them, we translate the text, everything,” he said. “Wow,” Rogan responded multiple times, visibly stunned by the approach. “That is so smart,” he continued, “that’s a brilliant idea. I love it.” Having never considered the strategy before, Rogan called MrBeast a “very wise” content creator, especially “for a young man.” While it’s unclear if future JRE episodes may be translated down the line given Rogan’s praise, he was undoubtedly intrigued by the idea. Diving into MrBeast’s strategies on the platform, Rogan had nothing but respect for his mentality and his hunger for growth. “It’s not dumb luck,” as he put it. “It sounds like you were just [working] all day, every day, which makes sense.” Read More: Top 10 richest YouTubers – Now one of the biggest stars on the platform, MrBeast revealed he employs over 100 staff, to which Rogan was once again shocked: “That’s crazy.”

  • Joe Rogan believes Conor McGregor vs Manny Pacquiao could happen – Dexerto

Joe Rogan believes Conor McGregor vs Manny Pacquiao could happen @KnuckleheadSeanUFC commentator Joe Rogan believes a boxing mega-fight between Conor McGregor and Manny Pacquiao is now a possibility. The potential bout would likely be one of the most lucrative of all time, pitting one of the best pound for pound fighters in the world against one of the most decorated boxers of all time. It’s an event that would be reminiscent of Conor McGregor’s 2017 clash with Floyd Mayweather, which unsurprisingly turned out to be the second most bought fight in PPV history. Putting aside the obvious revenue a McGregor Pacquiao boxing match would generate, there are many hurdles in matching up such huge superstars. That’s irrespective of the fact the two compete in entirely different sports. Luckily though, one of those huge hurdles has now been removed. Pacquiao has signed with Paradigm Sports Management. What’s the significance of this you ask? Well, this is the same management company who represent McGregor. In short, if two fighters are managed by the same company then it makes it a lot easier to put a fight together between the two. Even if it is between stars from different sports. Rogan: “probably what the UFC wants” The news of Pacquiao’s signing was revealed to Rogan during an episode of his MMA Show Podcast. “Manny Pacquiao inks deal with Paradigm Sports Management, who represent Conor McGregor.” The host of the JRE Experience was left with seemingly little doubt about what’s next for McGregor and Pacquiao: “Oh, Jesus. That’s probably what they’re gonna do. Manny Pacquiao Conor McGregor. That’s probably what the UFC wants to try and do.” Should the bout come to fruition there will be inevitable backlash from MMA and boxing purists who won’t believe it’ll be competitive. There was similar sentiment for McGregor’s bout with Mayweather, although the Irishman far exceeded most pundits’ expectations after legitimately taking rounds off ‘Money’. McGregor wants Pacquiao During the build up to McGregor’s fight with Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone, the Notorious was quizzed about a boxing match with Pacquiao. When asked about Pacquiao and a poster that surfaced teasing a bout between the two at the new Las Vegas Stadium, McGregor replied: “I would be honored to be a part of that event.” He went to say: “What a fight that would be against Manny.” Who knows whether we’ll get this mega-fight but after Pacquiao signing with the same management company as McGregor, it’s certainly more likely than it was.

  • Joe Rogan blasts claims Jake Paul vs Anderson Silva was “fixed” – Dexerto

Joe Rogan blasts claims Jake Paul vs Anderson Silva was “fixed” Spotify: Joe Rogan/YouTube: ShowTime SportsJoe Rogan has debunked claims that Jake Paul’s win over Anderson Silva was “fixed” and explained exactly how the YouTuber managed to knockdown the MMA legend. At the end of October, Jake Paul finally made his return to the boxing ring, stepping inside the ropes to face off against UFC icon Anderson ‘The Spider’ Silva. While he didn’t score a knockout victory like in his previous fights, the ‘Problem Child’ did manage to defeat Silva via the judge’s scorecards, and even produced a late knockdown of the Brazilian fighter. As they have done with his previous fighters, some critics called the validity of the result into question, with many suggesting it was “rigged” and that Silva took a dive instead of actually being knocked. Joe Rogan backs “legit” Jake Paul win over Anderson Silva Jake has already fired back at those claims, but he’s now gotten the support of Joe Rogan, who gave a blow-by-blow breakdown of the knockdown during his November 2 episode of the JRE Podcast. “We should point something out because people are trying to say that fight was fixed because of the knockdown. There’s a video where people are questioning (it), I just want to explain to people that this is what happened,” Rogan stated when touching on Jake’s fight. “Anderson moved forward to Jake Paul and Jake hit him with sort of a stepping jab. He caught him right on the chin. And when he caught him on the chin, Anderson was falling backwards and then he leans away from the right hand and he goes down. He was down from the punch, it looks like the right-hand doesn’t connect but the left hand is what f**ked him up. That dude hits f**king hard.” The UFC commentator further added that the knockdown was “legit as f**k” and anyone questioning it was “crazy” because Jake actually has power and is improving as a boxer. “Dude, he can fight. He can fight. Is he the best in the world? No, but is he getting better with every fight? Yes,” Rogan added. It’s not the first time Rogan has been impressed with Jake’s showing in the ring, and it probably won’t be the last either.

  • Joe Rogan applauds Logan Paul & Floyd Mayweather for entertaining “freak show” – Dexerto

Joe Rogan applauds Logan Paul & Floyd Mayweather for entertaining “freak show” YouTube/JRE/Amanda Westcott for SHOWTIMEUFC commentator and world famous podcast host Joe Rogan praised Logan Paul and Floyd Mayweather’s fight for being an extremely fascinating and interesting “freak show” in a long Instagram post. Joe Rogan is no stranger to giving his hot takes on certain subjects, and the fight between YouTuber Logan Paul and arguably the greatest boxer of all time is no exception. Logan managed to shock and anger the internet right off the bat by entering the ring with an extremely rare and expensive Charizard Pokemon card around his neck. If that wasn’t absurd enough, The Maverick went on to hold his own against Mayweather, lasting all eight rounds and avoiding a single knockdown. Because of the fight’s rules, no winner was declared, but the spectacle of it all really impressed Joe Rogan. In an Instagram post, he explained that he was really looking forward to the fight, remarking how, right before the bell, he was “legitimately giddy with excitement.” “I think the whole thing is pretty fascinating,” he wrote, adding that Floyd Mayweather was a “genius” for making hundreds of millions of dollars fighting people who “don’t have a chance to beat him.” “He’s figured out a way to compete into his 40s and make more money than any other boxer alive. It’s really incredible,” he continued. “And the confidence that he has to have in his skills to fight a guy 20 years younger than him and 35 pounds heavier can’t be emphasized enough.” View this post on Instagram Rogan went on to praise Logan Paul, writing that it was “incredible” he’d managed to go eight rounds with one of, if not the greatest, boxers of all time, despite the fact that he’s in the twilight of his career. “When you’re in there with a master like Floyd, he’s constantly pressuring you, and he’s so efficient and composed that he never fades,” the JRE podcast host beamed. Despite all his kind words, Rogan still admitted “real” world class boxing between champions is more entertaining, but still found Logan vs Mayweather to be a ‘pretty f***ing interesting freak show.’ “Kudos to both men, and congrats on making us watch,” he concluded, adding in some money bag emojis. Sadly, it doesn’t look like a potential bout between Mayweather and Logan’s brother Jake will happen anytime soon, as the 50-0 champ claimed he “probably won’t do an exhibition again.” Hopefully, this isn’t really the last time we see Mayweather duke it out, but at least his potentially final match earned Joe Rogan’s seal of approval.

  • Joe Rogan baffled after Instagram deletes his dog’s post for violating guidelines – Dexerto

Joe Rogan baffled after Instagram deletes his dog’s post for violating guidelines Instagram/marshallmaeroganPodcast host Joe Rogan was left flabbergasted after his dog, Marshall Mae, had their Instagram post removed for supposedly violating “community guidelines.” Joe Rogan is no stranger to controversy, having dealt with allegations of racism and “misinformation” on his Spotify podcast earlier in the year. Now, however, his dog seems to have learned from the UFC commentator and has gotten into his own bit of drama after a post on the canine’s Instagram page was deemed too inappropriate for the site. In the post, Marshall Mae was pictured sitting next to a dead tarantula he found in his house – something Instagram claimed violated their guidelines on “violence.” Instagram sends Joe Rogan’s pet to the dog house Taking to his own Instagram, Joe Rogan posted a picture of the message Instagram sent him about post violating guidelines and couldn’t believe what was going on. “I’m sure this is the algorithm or some mistake, but my dog Marshall Mae’s post got removed for being against ‘our guidelines on violence and incitement’ for a picture of him sitting next to a dead tarantula we found in our house,” Joe explained. He further explained that he captioned the picture, “Well that’s it, we’re just going to have to burn the whole house down,” with a fire and screaming emoji. View this post on Instagram Luckily, after Rogan voiced his confusion about Instagram removing the 2019 photo, prompting many of his followers to mock the Facebook-owned platform, the site reverted its deletion. Still, it’s not clear exactly why the photo originally violated community guidelines and it’s unknown if Rogan’s immense social media presence pushed Instagram to rectify the mistake.

  • Joe Rogan announces the return of his famous ‘Carnivore Diet’ for January 2021 – Dexerto

Joe Rogan announces the return of his famous ‘Carnivore Diet’ for January 2021 YouTube: PowerfulJRE / Instagram: @joeroganFamed podcast host Joe Rogan took walk on the wild side last year by starting 2020 on the ‘Carnivore Diet’ — and this year, he’s doing it again, in spite of some of its unexpected side-effects. The ‘Carnivore Diet’ is basically what it sounds like: For one month, participants completely eschew vegetables, fruit, and grains, consuming only direct animal products like meat, milk and eggs. Although unusual, the Carnivore Diet became highly popularized by Joe Rogan, who kicked off 2020 with a bang by undergoing the diet for the full month of January. A year has passed since then, and it looks like he’s undertaking the diet once more, as announced in an Instagram post on January 1, 2021. According to Rogan, he lost 12 pounds on the diet in 2020 and hopes to see similar results this year — although he did admit that some of its “side effects” weren’t super fantastic. “January is ‘world carnivore diet’ month,” he said. “I did it last year, lost 12 pounds, and really felt great (other than having ruthlessly explosive diarrhea for the first couple weeks), so I’m gonna give it a go again this year.” View this post on Instagram That’s not all; he also admitted that the diet had a “remarkable” effect on his energy levels. However, its important to remember that it’s not all sunshine and roses — last year, Rogan admitted that his bowel movements became seriously upended after beginning his meat-only agenda. “With regular diarrhea, I would compare it to a fire you see coming a block or two away, and you have the time to make an escape,” he explained. “This carnivore diet is like out of nowhere the fire is coming through the cracks, your doorknob is red hot, and all hope is lost.” View this post on Instagram He also stated that he began to feel more “aggressive” on the diet, claiming that he had “to workout extra to keep the demons at bay.” Luckily, Rogan claimed that these were the only downsides of the meal plan, from his experience. Otherwise, he claimed to feel more energized, as well as feeling “healthier,” “happier and well balanced.” Fans will have to wait and see what 2021 has in store for the podcast prince as he undertakes his meat-only mission once again.

  • Joe Rogan apologizes for “irresponsible” Oregon fire comments on podcast – Dexerto

Joe Rogan apologizes for “irresponsible” Oregon fire comments on podcast Joe Rogan Experience[jwplayer 91I9RIGm]Joe Rogan has publicly apologized and promised to do better after spreading “stupid” misinformation to his millions of listeners in a podcast episode. Rogan’s “The Joe Rogan Experience” is one of the most popular podcasts ever, dating back to 2009 and continuing to put out content, including his 1,538th episode with British author Douglas Murray. That episode now lies at the heart of controversy, as Rogan shared accusations of arson involved in the Portland, Oregon wildfires, misleading his millions of listeners into believing that arsonists had been arrested. This incident comes amid a milieu of news involving Rogan’s return to podcasting with a new studio and his exclusivity contract with Spotify. https://twitter.com/AlexPattyy/status/1306690180452167680 In this instance, Rogan confidently made claims that had already been widely debunked. People appear to be dissatisfied that someone with millions of listeners, who just signed a deal for over $100 million, publicized misinformation. It appears that those critics are not alone in their discomfort, as Rogan himself is formally apologizing for the snafu and affirming that it was wrong, shouldn’t have happened, and won’t happen again. https://www.instagram.com/p/CFSYnUFA8Fb/?igshid=z7u5pv3sjemu In an apology posted to Instagram, Rogan explains, from his own perspective, what he did poorly. Upon reading something online, he repeated it on the podcast without adequately fact-checking. As he explains this course of action: “I was very irresponsible not looking into it before I repeated it … I repeated it without looking into it and it was a really f**king stupid mistake that won’t happen again. I’m sorry.” Overall, Rogan’s apology seems to check all the boxes to satisfy his detractors. He identified precisely how he messed up, didn’t make excuses or shift blame, and vowed to be more vigilant moving forward. Regardless of the specifics at hand, this is an interesting moment simply considering accountability for public figures to be responsible on their platforms and to admit fault when they’ve been irresponsible.

  • Joe Rogan and WWE’s Undertaker break down why CM Punk failed with UFC – Dexerto

Joe Rogan and WWE’s Undertaker break down why CM Punk failed with UFC YouTube/Joe Rogan/Wikimedia CommonsWWE legend The Undertaker had an incredible chat with Joe Rogan on the JRE Experience podcast and even provided some input on why fellow wrestler CM Punk failed when he made the jump to UFC. Mark Calaway, better known by his stage name, The Undertaker, has been a massive fan of mixed martial arts. His wrestling style was often compared to that of MMA, having coined the nickname of being the best pure striker in the business. A number of wrestlers working for Vince McMahon’s company have also tried their hand, switching the squared circle for the octagon. Only a few have made a success out of it, though, with the likes of Brock Lesnar and Jack Swagger (real name Jacob Hager) two of the standouts. After discussing some of the ins and outs of the business, Joe Rogan inquired about what Phillip ‘CM Punk’ Brooks was up to in a chat with the Phenom. Both had opinions on the crossover as well, after seeing Punk defeated both times in the UFC. Undertaker on CM Punk’s switch from WWE to UFC “God, that was a crazy gamble for him to fight,” Rogan said, referring to his appearances in UFC. “I’m not real close with him, I mean we got along. I didn’t understand it,” Undertaker replied. “He had an issue [with WWE] and sometimes people need a new challenge.” As Taker said, CM Punk was a top guy for WWE before his departure. While he didn’t delve into the drama surrounding his decision to leave, it’s been well documented that his issues were in regards to injuries, his status in the company and payment. “I don’t know enough, because I was around enough at that time, but I don’t know that he had enough background. It was late in the game for him to make that transition [to MMA],” he added. “It was easier for Brock [Lesnar]. Brock had that strong wrestling pedigree.” Rogan on CM Punk After hearing out the thoughts of Undertaker, Rogan chimed in with an easy comparison – Brock Lesnar. “Brock’s also a crazy athlete!” he said, probably thinking back to him winning the UFC Heavyweight title. “You see his combine numbers? Bananas.” “He’s one of those guys that define… he was 260 pounds, but his shot was like a 160. You can’t believe someone of his size can move the way he can move. He’s a freak,” Callaway elaborated. “I mean, for Punk, if he just wanted the challenge, good for him. I mean, he tested it.” (Segment begins at 2:33:00) Rogan seemed to agree. “I think that’s what it was. He fought Mickie Gall and it didn’t work. Then he fought Michael Jackson, another guy afterward who was a pretty solid striker… but he wasn’t put in there with someone who was going to kick his off head into the fifth row. It was a good fight for him, but not really.” While the two believe that CM Punk got good money out of it, being deep in his 30s made the transition awkward. According to Rogan, he did it the wrong way and should have had some amateur fights under his belt before going to UFC. Hopefully, more people take Rogan’s advice before they try their luck in mixed martial arts.

  • Joe Rogan announces new date for Kanye West podcast appearance – Dexerto

Joe Rogan announces new date for Kanye West podcast appearance Instagram: Joe RoganIt looks like things are back on for Joe Rogan and Kanye West, who was slated to appear on an episode of the Joe Rogan Experience on October 23 — before the podcast was abruptly canceled due to health issues among staff. [jwplayer mgzBNoPb] Fans have been itching to see Yeezus make an appearance on the JRE for quite some time, as has Joe Rogan, himself, although things never seemed to pan out perfectly for the celebrity pair. However, Kanye West abruptly tweeted out about wanting to join the show on October 17, giving listeners high hopes that one of rap’s most controversial figures would be opening up in one of the world’s most popular podcasts to date. The two were slated for an episode on October 23 before disaster struck, as Joe Rogan revealed in an October 19 Instagram post. View this post on Instagram Young @jamievernon tested positive for COVID-19. I tested negative, and the rest of the staff tested negative but we’re shutting everything down until we get an all clear from our doctor. I was out of town last week and the shows that aired had all been previously recorded, so I haven’t had any contact with Jamie in the past 9 days except for briefly today, but I’m staying away from everyone and being tested every day until I know I’m in the clear. I’ll keep you folks posted as to when the show will resume. Claiming that producer Jamie had tested positive, Rogan canceled all appearances for the week in an attempt to keep his crew and guests healthy — but it looks like the show is still on the road, as told by another Instagram post on October 23. According to Rogan, the episode starring Kanye West will drop Saturday, October 24 at 12PM Texas time (Central Daylight Time) — that’s 10AM PST and 1 PM EST. “Oh yeah we did!” Rogan said of the upcoming episode. “Beyond my expectations, and I think people are going to have a much better understanding and appreciation of how this man thinks. I really enjoyed talking to him, and we had a lot of fun.” West has recently been shrouded in some controversy due to wanting to run for US President, with wife Kim Kardashian also coming under fire for endorsing him. This certainly sets the stage for a unique interview perfect for the environment of the Joe Rogan Experience, which features all manner of guests. With some listeners claiming this next episode might truly “break the internet,” it stands to reason that everyone is hyped up to tune in — but there’s no telling if it will spawn such viral moments as Elon Musk smoking some Mary Jane in the studio.

  • Joe Rogan and Lex Fridman explain why MKBHD is a “great” tech YouTuber – Dexerto

Joe Rogan and Lex Fridman explain why MKBHD is a “great” tech YouTuber Spotify: The Joe Rogan Experience / YouTube: Marques BrownleeIn episode 1600 of the JRE podcast, Joe Rogan and scientist Lex Fridman praised MKBHD a.k.a. Marques Brownlee for being a “great” tech YouTuber, saying “he’s so smooth.” Marques Brownlee is a hugely popular tech YouTuber, known for his in-depth reviews of the latest huge releases in technology, with over 13.5 million subscribers on his channel. MKBHD, as he’s otherwise known, is constantly hot on the heels of any new trend in the market, and produces high-quality videos that show off new designs in their best light, garnering him a large following on the platform. Joe Rogan invited scientist Lex Fridman to his podcast, and given that he’s an AI researcher who focuses on autonomous vehicles and human-robot interaction, it was only natural that the conversation would soon turn to technology. Rogan had commented on the fact that Fridman is an “Android guy,” saying, he’s “committed to that platform,” though the podcaster revealed that he is on the other end of the spectrum, having become invested in the “Apple ecosystem” thanks to features like AirDrop. Joe Rogan shares his opinion on MKBHD They then quickly moved on to discussing the new Samsung Galaxy S21 ultra, which Marques Brownlee recently reviewed. “MKBHD had a great review of the Ultra. He makes it very exciting,” Joe said, with Lex replying, ‘he makes everything exciting.” Topic starts at 21:30 Lex went on to comment on his favorite part of MKBHD’s videos, saying, “everything just looks super sharp and crisp and sexy. • Joe Rogan and Robert Downey Jr dream up Ironman’s possible Marvel return – Dexerto

Joe Rogan and Robert Downey Jr dream up Ironman’s possible Marvel return YouTube: Joe Rogan / Marvel-DisneyRobert Downey Jr. may have hung up the red and chrome helmet after ten blockbuster appearances in Disney’s superhero franchise, but Joe Rogan believes he’s found a way to bring him back to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. With Downey’s next major film release, Dolittle, dropping this week, the Marvel star has once again found himself in the headlines less than a year after (spoilers) he sacrificed himself as Tony Stark to stop Thanos in Avengers: Endgame. Ironman joined a small group of characters that had died across the 23-film series, including Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow and Paul Bettany’s Vision, but Joe Rogan said he thinks the door to RDJ playing the iconic hero “isn’t quite shut.” “I don’t believe it is, you guys can travel through time now, you’ve already opened up that potential door,” Rogan said, and laid out exactly how he imagined the leader of the Avengers could storm back onto the silver screen. “Here’s how I see it,” he continued. “They go through a few semi-lackluster Avengers movies without you, and there’s a moment where the world’s at stake, and they realize they need a super-genius… and then they figure out how to restart that time machine. “The audience sees you, imagine when you step out of that thing. The way people would freak out when you came out of that thing. Take a few years off, do a few Doctor Dolittes, a few Sherlock Holmes, and then think about it.” “Let me ask the question then – if I picked the jersey back up and put it back on, wouldn’t you feel a little bit like… crap,” Downey Jr. shot back, and added he would have to be given a “super compelling argument” to change his mind. “To me, starting up that character again is off the table. I feel like I’ve done all that I can with that character, and it would take a really good series of events to change that. And the other thing is, I want to do other stuff, too!” “It’s just incredible, our culture never encourages taking a break, never encourages saying ‘don’t chase that thing,’ and I love the idea that if you are good at what you do, then it’s not about time, it’s about deciding when to pick up the mantle.” According to Downey, he may also be the furthest he ever has been from wanting to return to the red-and-chrome armor of one of Earth’s mightiest heroes. After months of press tours and red carpets for his final Avengers outing, he finally got to sit down for a dinner with Johansson, Jon Favreau, Kevin Feige, and VFX digital specialist Victoria Alonso this week and “say goodbye.” “I think it was the perfect time [to leave Ironman behind]… I had dinner with a few of the Marvel folks the other day, had some crudités and talked sh*t, and I got to have another moment of closure,” the Ironman star revealed. “I saw all these videos of people freaking out and losing their minds when Tony snapped [the Infinity Gauntlet] and I realized it was such a massive cultural thing, but then I had that dinner and it felt like closing the circle for the last time, a bit.” For Marvel fans, the news that Ironman may never again return to the big screen with Robert Downey Jr. behind the mask may be disappointing, but that doesn’t mean the Cinematic Universe is coming to an end by any means. In fact, it seems like Disney’s series is still very much on the rise. The Johansson-led Black Widow is set to release in April, and ‘WandaVision’ and ‘The Falcon and The Winter Soldier’ are both expected on Disney Plus later this year, too. Basically, it’s the perfect time to be a superhero fan — franchise-leading names like RDJ and Chris Evans may have stepped away after Endgame, but Fiege’s vision for an ever-growing MCU doesn’t seem to be slowing down anytime soon.

  • Joe Rogan and former CIA agent say Tik Tok is actually a “cyber threat” – Dexerto

Joe Rogan and former CIA agent say Tik Tok is actually a “cyber threat” YouTube: PowerfulJREJoe Rogan and former CIA agent Mike Baker says popular social media app Tik Tok is considered to be a “cyber threat” by the U.S. military. The Joe Rogan Experience is host to a number of experts from different fields, and during episode 1414, the MMA commentator and podcast host welcomed Mike Baker, a former CIA covert operations officer who discussed the world of security and operations with Rogan for over two hours. During their interview, discussions turned to China and the news that the U.S. had recently banned Huawei smartphones, after accusing the government of using the devices to spy on American consumers. Talk then turned to Tik Tok, a social media app that allows users to post short clips online, which is also based in China, with Baker claiming that the app is banned from use by those serving the military because of its links back to the Asian powerhouse. “They’ve been making efforts to limit the ability for Tik Tok to do business here,” Baker told Rogan. “The U.S. military has instructed all personnel to stay off Tik Tik because of the same concern. These companies can argue all they want that they are independent, but at the end of the day, if the Chinese government knock on their door and say ‘We would like access to your database because we want to hoover up information about every military person stationed wherever,’ they’re going to do it.” “It’s considered a cyber threat,” read Rogan online, taking a quote from Army spokeswoman Lt. Col. Robin Ochoa. “We do not allow it on government phones.” Rogan went on to explain how his own daughter is 11 years old and obsessed with the app, getting the 52-year-old to perform dances with her from Tik Tok, while Baker admitted that when he took his son to basketball practice, he often sees a bunch of kids using their phones to watch videos or discuss it. Whether the United States government will move to ban Tik Tok like they have Huawei remains to be seen, but Rogan revealed that the company had been trying to get one of their executives onto The Joe Rogan Experience for an interview, something which the host says he could not be less interested in. “Interesting,” stated Baker when the comedian told him the news. “Not really,” responded Rogan. “Not to me. [It’s not happening.] No.”

  • Joe Rogan and Kevin Hart explain why social media is bad for you – Dexerto

Joe Rogan and Kevin Hart explain why social media is bad for you YouTube: JRE ClipsDuring the latest Joe Rogan Experience podcast, actor Kevin Hart explained to the UFC commentator why he thinks social media holds people back from succeeding. The two comedians both revealed why they hate it. Popular actor Kevin Hart sat down with Joe Rogan for the second time on May 25, where the two discussed a wide variety of topics from Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos to NBA legend Michael Jordan. The two stars ended up having an in-depth discussion about the impact social media has had on people. The comedians explained the negative side effects of Twitter and Facebook. Joe Rogan & Kevin Hart on social media Hart opened up the conversation by stating that social media has warped people’s perception about how others think of them. “Social media has mindf**ked people into thinking the comments below a post are what the world must be feeling and thinking about you,” he said. The comedian followed up by stating that users have become obsessed with the negatives. “We spread the negative. As people, we’ve fallen in love with bad information and bad conversation. We’re intrigued by it.” Rogan agreed, but said that he believed it’s a part of human instinct. “Well, it’s a natural human instinct, because those are the things that can kill you. From the days when we were living in small villages, worrying about animals attacking us. You had to always be worried about negative.” The UFC commentator then argued that our survival instinct has been filled by social media. “Unfortunately, that human instinct has carried over. Our human reward system has been hijacked by social media. This new thing we’re not prepared for.” (Topic starts at 0:30.) While Hart was critical of social media, he also admitted it has benefits as well, but told viewers to “understand who you are” first. The comedian re-stated the importance of individuals knowing their own positives and flaws before letting others try to define them. The JRE Podcast is one of the most followed shows in the world, with over 8.4 million subscribers on YouTube alone. However in May, Rogan announced that he is moving the program to Spotify exclusively by the end of 2020. Regardless of where it’s hosted, viewers will no doubt flock to listen to it. The UFC commentator continues to interview a wide variety of guests from Elon Musk to famous actors, giving viewers an insight into the world’s most fascinating people.

  • Joe Rogan and Ari Shaffir explain how ‘gamer rage’ became mainstream – Dexerto

Joe Rogan and Ari Shaffir explain how ‘gamer rage’ became mainstream Joe RoganJoe Rogan spoke briefly about the exaggerated gamer rage that can be found online during an episode of his mega-popular podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience. Joe Rogan is no stranger to the world of video games. In a recent episode of his show, he talked at length about his previous addiction to video games, saying “I wish I wasn’t such a simpleton because if I could f**king just play for like one hour and stop… I cannot.” He’s spoken previously about his love for Quake, and how he’s had to stop playing video games because of his inability to put them down. Rogan said that going cold turkey on gaming is the only way he can live, as even just a small taste will make him addicted again. Episode #1686 featured guest Ari Shaffir, a comedian who created the Comedy Central show ‘This Is Not Happening.’ In the episode, the pair spoke about their feelings on public displays of anger that happen online and “gamer rage.” Timestamp: 1:46:27 Ari says,”It’s like gamer rage. You know how they’re like ‘I hope you get AIDS and your mom dies in front of you.’ And regular people caught on with that.” Rogan responds, “Right, the gamer chats, when they would say things in the chats. It was like fun to say.” Shaffir replies, “I think all the e-rages are just like, a couple people talking and then far more, like a hundred, a thousand times that people weighing in on what the small amount of people actually (say).” Rogan agrees, saying, “There’s also a lot of cowards out there. A lot of cowards, and those cowards are the ones that virtue signal because they want to make sure that they’re on the right side of your rage. They want to be with you while you attack other people. And when it turns on then, it’s horrific.” Gamers raging is not a new subject, and there’s plenty of people who associate a typical gamer with instances of taking their matches way too seriously. Many communities in gaming have struggled to curtail their most toxic members who damage the reputation of the whole. Joe and Ari see the toxic elements of “gamer rage” coming through in discourse online. Rogan believes that some of the aggressive energy channeled in online arguments is similar to gamers when they rage at video games, saying the most hurtful things they can think of in the moment.

  • Joe Rogan and Bill Maher mock today’s “coddled” kids and “woke bullsh*t” – Dexerto

Joe Rogan and Bill Maher mock today’s “coddled” kids and “woke bullsh*t” Joe Rogan / HBOPopular late-night TV host Bill Maher highlighted some of the major differences seen in people today compared to past generations during his appearance on the Joe Rogan Experience podcast on January 17. In recent years, partly due to technological advancements and access to information, many parents have become increasingly protective of their children, which has led to some criticism over the effects it has on the newer generations. Popular personalities Joe Rogan and Bill Maher explained their take on the matter highlighting how this new internet culture and “fragile, woke bullsh*t” has led to more people “coddling” their kids than ever. After pointing out many different attitudes, surrounding tasks such as minding a child, that have changed over time, the pair explained that people were much softer in comparison to previous generations. “People were just rougher,” Bill Maher expressed, “You and I walk the same path very often, we are progressives but we have short patience with some of the fragile, woke bullsh*t, some of that is just the way you’re brought up.” The popular TV host also shared why many of the younger generations seemed to have become softer in recent years, “I think kids are coddled, you know? I think they’re indulged and that’s the reason why they freak out over microaggressions.” Topic starts at 2:44 for mobile users. The two continued to go back and forth in agreeance, making references to their time growing up and the different levels of responsibility which kids had when they were younger. “Getting to the dentist yourself, first of all, they don’t even let you do that today, they don’t let kids just be on their own.” Maher explained, “I wasn’t raised by bad people, people were just rougher, it was a rougher time.” Although he felt that there were many things that had improved over recent years, the popular television host still felt that some of the “coddling” had gone too far, “I wouldn’t recommend these things exactly, although getting somewhere on your own isn’t the worst thing in the world, but a little more of that [is needed].” However, Joe Rogan was a little more undecided than Maher expressing that it was difficult to compare some of the differences, claiming it was ‘two different worlds’ between now and then.

Joe Rogan analyzes Logan Paul’s fighting technique and you might be surprised by his opinion Podcaster and UFC Commentator Joe Rogan has praised Logan Paul for his fighting technique on a recent episode of his podcast, ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’. Rogan was joined by professional surfer Kelly Slater when the pair began to discuss the UFC, and the possibility of Logan Paul someday competing inside the Octagon, especially after former professional wrestler CM Punk being granted the opportunity to fight in the UFC on two occasions. “They were talking about Logan Paul fighting in the UFC, and Dana White said he would get killed,” began Rogan. “Logan Paul is way better, way better, than CM Punk!” Rogan continued: “Logan Paul actually knows how to fight. He had a boxing match with that other YouTube guy, but I was watching him throw punches in that fight, and this is a guy who knows how to throw a punch. His punches looked good.” “He gassed out, he got a little tired, first real fight like that. But he has a background in wrestling, and he actually can punch. Like I was watching him hit this guy, that’s a guy who actually knows how to throw a punch. “He knows distance and timing and he knows how to connect. He doesn’t look like Canelo Alvarez or anything crazy, but he looks like a guy who can throw a punch. You had fucking CM Punk fight, this guy is way better than him,” concluded the stand-up comedian. While UFC President Dana White seems dead set on not allowing Paul to step into the Octagon, former UFC Welterweight Sage Northcutt has expressed interest in taking on the YouTube star. Unfortunately, that fight will likely have to wait, as Paul is set for a boxing rematch against fellow YouTuber JJ ‘KSI’ Olatunji in 2019.

Their second episode predictably included a slew of rants from Jones about aliens, Hillary Clinton, and human-pig hybrids – and even featured a viral clip of Jones claiming that he is “kind of retarded.” Rogan even walked Jones through a public apology for his comments on the tragic Sandy Hook shooting, which he claimed was an engineered operation by gun control advocacy groups. the soundbite to last generations Alex Jones: “”look here’s the thing, I’m gonna be honest with you, I’m kind of retarded”” pic.twitter.com/VLHVB9jII3 — Rod Breslau (@Slasher) February 27, 2019 Jones likewise admitted that he’d gone a bit too deep down the conspiracy theory rabbit hole as of late, to the point where he was paranoid that every major event were a government-operated plot. Rogan himself appeared to take their conversation quite lightly, despite Jones previously accusing him of being a “power source” used by Silicon Valley, among other inane allegations. While Rogan had speculated that Jones had been suffering from mental health problems following their first episode, it looks like the two have finally made up – not excluding a few eye-rolling hijinks along the way.

  • Joe Mele: How me and my Dad blew up on TikTok – Dexerto

Joe Mele: How me and my Dad blew up on TikTok Instagram: Joe MeleIf you’re on TikTok, you’ve probably seen a video or two by Joe Mele. If you don’t recognize him, you’ll recognize his dad, whether it’s for his strong Long Island accent, his references to “TikTak” or his uncanny resemblance to the restaurant critic from Ratatouille. Joe never set out on TikTok to get eight million followers when he posted his first video in December 2019, but it’s a milestone he is about to reach. It’s more followers than a large percentage of the creators who reside in collectives in Los Angeles, even a large majority of members of The Hype House (their newest member Olivia Ponton has 3.1 million followers). And what Joe has that stars such as Addison Rae, Charli D’Amelio and Lil Huddy don’t is his ‘pops’. Joe’s dad, Frank Mele, first appeared on his TikTok in his eighth video, and viewers immediately recognized that accent. There were comments like: “Your pa talks like Ray Romano”, and “We need to protect his Dad at all costs.” By incorporating his dad into sketches, Joe built up his following to more than seven million in under seven months. And it wasn’t just his dad’s “boomer” energy and New Yorker vibe which kept viewers hooked. In January, after countless commenters saying how much he looked like the restaurant critic in the Disney movie Ratatouille, Joe finally dressed his Dad up in that same outfit, with the right makeup. And it is Joe’s most popular video to date with 50 million views, 12.6 million likes and 86,000 comments. Joe thinks this video alone gained him an extra million followers. Blowing up on TikTok can change your life It launched Joe into making TikTok his lifestyle. “At first I thought it would be all fun and games, that I could post whenever I want,” Joe said. “But now that we have such a large following, I think it takes a lot more time and effort.” Frank might be the star, but Joe is the brains behind the account: “Normally he’s like ‘alright Joe what are we doing today?’ I tell him, then we shoot.” Joe now dedicates a large part of his day to keep up his social media presence. While it’s summer, and he doesn’t have to study, he spends his day writing skits and updating his social accounts, filming, and editing. He will often earn money through product promotions, and the offers come thick and fast; that’s 10 to 15 a day. For Joe, it’s a hobby, but he’s keen to turn it into a career. With internet fame also come die-hard fans. Getting attention from his audience was weird to Joe at first: “People were asking ‘Joe do you have any siblings?’ or like ‘what’s your mum look like?’ and I was like – well why do you guys even care?” The internet sensation was even given an offer to live in a creator house in Los Angeles, but he turned it down. Why? Because that’s not his style. Outside TikTok, Joe’s just a normal guy from a small town in New York State. He started posting as a joke and didn’t realize it would blow up. He says that as the momentum began “At first a lot of home town people were like ‘oh look at Joe Mele – he’s trying to be somebody,” but he says the reality is that his friends don’t treat him any differently. “Every once in a while when I hit those milestones, when I hit 3 million, 6 million, 7 million, they’ll always send me that text – like hey man, congratulations, I’m really happy for ya!” What’s next for Joe Mele? TikTok gave Joe his internet fame, but like for many of the app’s biggest creators, he has expanded outwards to other platforms. The threat of the US banning the app (because of its Chinese owners) makes that a necessity. When he’s not filming sketches with his dad, Joe plays piano, saxophone, clarinet, and guitar, and he writes his own music. Or he works out with his friends or goes fishing with his dad. What about the possible end of TikTok? Frank says: “Regardless of what happens, this won’t be the end of our videos” and Joe says: “We’re going to continue to make the content that you guys love”, on Joe’s Instagram and YouTube channel. But for now, Joe continues to amass millions of views on his TikTok daily. As Frank says “Joe, I don’t have time for this!”

  • Joe Rogan accuses The Rock of using steroids: “He should come clean” – Dexerto

Joe Rogan accuses The Rock of using steroids: “He should come clean” YouTube: The Rock, PowerfulJREPodcast host Joe Rogan has accused Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson of steroid use, joking that the wrestler-turned-movie star should “come clean” about allegedly juicing. The Rock is one of the biggest names in Hollywood, boasting a successful career in the WWE on top of his ongoing appearances in major motion pictures. His physique is one of The Rock’s most notable attributes (how could we forget his iconic pec flex?), and his shredded muscles have become a core part of his image that’s helped him land roles like DC’s Black Adam. However, not everyone is convinced that he’s managed to achieve his musculature in a natural way. In fact, UFC color commentator and podcast host Joe Rogan has claimed the actor is using steroids to achieve his superhero look. Joe Rogan asks The Rock to “come clean” about alleged steroid use “The Rock should come clean right now,” Rogan joked after broaching the topic with YouTuber Derek from More Plates More Dates. “He should make a video in response to the Liver King video: ‘I need to talk to you, ’cause the Rock’s been lyin’.’” “Point is, you can’t even get there with HRT (hormone replacement therapy),” he continued. “That’s not HRT. Like that — Jesus Christ! …he’s so massive. And he’s so different than he was when he was thirty.” “There’s a responsibility you have to the people who are listening to you. If you don’t wanna talk about it, that’s one thing. But if you do talk about it, there’s a responsibility that you have to the people listening to you, and I think you have to be honest.” Rogan has been open with his fans about using testosterone supplements, saying he felt “so much better” after trying out a cream to combat the effects of aging. Rogan’s comments come on the heels of another major influencer speaking about steroid use. Liver King notably apologized to his fanbase after being exposed for using supplements despite claiming his physique was achieved naturally through certain diet and lifestyle changes.

  • Joe Fournier teases KSI rematch after “elbow knockout” overturned – Dexerto

Joe Fournier teases KSI rematch after “elbow knockout” overturned DAZN / Joe FournierProfessional boxer Joe Fournier has responded after KSI’s “accidental elbow” knockout which has been overturned by The PBA after review. On May 13, KSI and Joe Fournier finally stepped in the ring — going blow for blow in front of a sold-out crowd at the OVO Arena in Wembley, London. Fournier was expected to be KSI’s most challenging opponent thus far, yet the YouTube star still managed to pull off a shocking second-round KO victory over the professional boxer. Although, upon review, it appeared KSI actually struck his opponent with an accidental elbow — leading to outrage from boxing fanatics. However, after just under a week since the bout, on May 19, The Professional Boxing Association (PBA) released a statement announcing KSI’s KO victory over Joe Fournier has been overturned and declared a No Decision. Joe Fournier reacts after KSI “elbow knockout” ruled no contest In an Instagram post following the statement, Fournier reacted to the news overturning the decision on the “accidental elbow” that put the fight to a jaw-dropping stop. “Well, we have some news, I’m still undefeated, still no one can knock me out, and we’re back baby,” he said. “The PBA has ruled it is officially a no contest — it was an illegal elbow and I’m still undefeated, and still look brand-new.” Fournier continued, thanking “big name” celebrities, athletes, and fans who’ve reached out in masses to support the self-proclaimed ‘boxing billionaire’. He added: “But, the PBA did make up for it, so did DAZN, Misfits and Wasserman to make sure there was a fair shout to the athletes that sacrificed a lot to be on these cards. “Now you know if there’s anything dodgy they rectify it, so respect to that and you know where it’s at now baby, the rematch.” Following the controversial knockout, KSI quickly shut down allegations that he intentionally cheated, explaining his rendition of events in the ring, claiming his glove made contact before the elbow. It’s unclear whether or not we’ll see the pair of them touch gloves again, as it seems KSI has other targets in his sights such as Tommy Fury, and long-time rival Jake Paul.

In September, one fan was seen getting on his knees out of excitement after meeting Adin Ross. Even IShowSpeed became starstruck and fell on his knees when meeting his idol Christiano Ronaldo. However, being starstruck can appear in multiple forms, which was proven when singer Joe Jonas told fans about a fan encounter he had at a CVS store. The Jonas Brothers singer was dressed in a beige cap, a blue shirt, and a brown leather jacket as he took to TikTok to tell fans about an unusual fan encounter he’d just had, and viewers were quick to say that the fan had clearly been stunned. Joe Jonas was told he “looks crazy” by CVS security In a recent TikTok, Joe told fans about a recent trip to CVS where a security guard said he looked “crazy in person.” “I just walked into CVS and the security guy goes, ‘Oh! Joe Jonas?’” Joe recalled in the video. “And I said, ‘Hey man, what’s going on?’ and I shook his hand and he goes, ‘Man, you look crazy in person.’” He added with a confused look on his face, “Is that a compliment?” In the comments section, fans tried to soften the blow. “Maybe he just meant to say ‘It’s crazy to see you in person,’” one fan wrote. Another one added: “LMFAOOOOOO he was def trying to say “it’s crazy to see you in person” and he will definitely think about this for the rest of his life.” However, his younger brother Nick Jonas brought some brotherly love to the comment section as he wrote: “You do look crazy though… so…” Joe Jonas is currently going through a divorce from Game of Thrones actress Sophie Turner, who he shares two children with.

  • Joe Fournier ready to fight KSI if Danis pulls out of 2023 bout – Dexerto

Joe Fournier ready to fight KSI if Danis pulls out of 2023 bout Professional boxer Joe Fournier is ready to step up to the plate and fight KSI in the event that Dillon Danis pulls out of their anticipated 2023 bout. British YouTube star KSI and MMA fighter Dillon Danis went back and forth on social media for months until things finally heated up as Danis punched the YouTuber in the jaw at the MF x DAZN Series 003 press conference, sparking an outright scuffle. There are only a couple of weeks left to go until the two are set to touch gloves at the OVO Arena in Wembley, London. But, with Danis not showing up to the press conference, fans are concerned that he may pull out of the fight last minute. Thankfully, backup plans are already in motion, as Joe Fournier is expected to step up in the absence of Danis if he doesn’t show on fight night. Joe Fournier ready to replace Dillon Danis in KSI bout The professionally undefeated ‘boxing billionaire’ Joe Fournier is set to return to the ring on January 14, touching gloves with Tony Christodoulou on the KSI vs Dillon Danis undercard. Fournier revealed that if Danis pulls a no-show on fight night, he’ll instead be giving his opponent a “lifeline” and step in the ring with KSI as a backup fighter. “I’m smashing through @tony.christodoulou and onto @ksi in my next fight if he doesn’t get scared like the rest of them,” Fournier wrote on Instagram. “Or if @dillondanis doesn’t show up Tony gets a life line and I SMASH KSI sooner,” he added. The 39-year-old has an impressive 9-0 professional record, though he was handed his first loss last September in an exhibition match with David Haye. It’ll certainly be interesting bout to see if Danis does end up pulling out of his scheduled fight with KSI.

  • Joe Fournier sends Logan Paul boxing challenge as KSI declines rematch – Dexerto

Joe Fournier sends Logan Paul boxing challenge as KSI declines rematch Instagram: joefournier/YouTube: BT SportJoe Fournier has called out Logan Paul for a boxing match as KSI has expressed he’s not interested in a rematch against Fourier. On May 13, 2023, YouTuber turned boxer KSI went up against Joe Fournier as the main card for Misfits 007. KSI brought home the win, although it was overturned due to an “accidental elbow” from the YouTuber. Since then, Joe Fournier has made it clear that he’s interested in a rematch against the British star — although KSI isn’t interested. Joe has now set his eyes on Logan Paul, wanting the influencer to “step” for his business partner. Joe Fournier sends Logan Paul boxing challenge In the most recent episode of Impaulsive, Logan Paul brought up the fact KSI’s win was overturned after Misfits 007, mentioning that Joe Fournier is “lucky” and still undefeated. Joe uploaded a recording of that clip to his Instagram stories on May 31, calling out Logan Paul for a match in the process. “Logan as your brother is busy with Nate and your Jr partner doesn’t want the smoke of the rematch, I think you should step for them and we get it on,” he said. It’s unknown whether or not Logan will take Joe up on his offer, but the YouTuber businessman has shared in the past that he’s attempted to schedule a fight this year against Nate Diaz. While Logan made claims that Nate was “ducking him,” Diaz has since scheduled a match with younger brother Jake Paul and even knocked out one of Logan’s doppelgangers. We’ll make sure to update if Logan responds to Joe’s challenge, but in the meantime, you can head over to our entertainment section for more news and other viral stories.

  • Joe Fournier calls out KSI live at Misfits Boxing 4 – Dexerto

Joe Fournier calls out KSI live at Misfits Boxing 4 Instagram: joefournier / YouTube: JJ OlatunjiPro boxer Joe Fournier and KSI have shared some barbs in the past but a meeting of the two seems inevitable following the conclusion of Misfits Boxing 4. JJ ‘KSI’ Olatunji is on a hot streak in his boxing career. In yet another headlining main event, the ‘Nightmare’ took down FaZe Temperrr (who filled in for late dropout Dillon Danis) with a KO blow in the first round. While giving another one of his signature-spirited post-match interviews, he name-dropped Joe Fournier as a potential opponent, only for the English businessman and boxer to crash the stage and tell KSI to set it up as his next fight. Joe Fournier and KSI come face-to-face at Misfits Boxing 4 This feud has been rising for quite some time now, and in late 2022 it seemed as if it was guaranteed to be the main event of this January 14 event. However, despite an allegedly leaked flyer showcasing the match, Olatunji instead locked it in with Danis instead. After the MMA prospect’s withdrawal, KSI chose Temperrr as the replacement so that he could still take advantage of all the prep he did in anticipation of taking on a southpaw. The fight wrapped quite quickly though, and that only motivated Fournier to double down on his previous callouts. “London, who wants to see him fight a real boxer…that might work on a guy playing video games, but it ain’t going to work on a real fighter,” he claimed in the pair’s face-to-face showdown. Fournier went on to say that he wants to lock it in for May and that KSI shouldn’t be fighting anyone else the next time in the ring. The pair even sealed the deal with a handshake, but history has proven that it takes a lot more than that to make something official in the world of combat sports.

  • KSI responds to Joe Fournier’s accusations of him “cheating” with elbow KO – Dexerto

KSI responds to Joe Fournier’s accusations of him “cheating” with elbow KO DAZN X Series | YouTubeKSI got a surprising round 2 KO victory against Joe Fournier. However, KSI appears to be connected with his elbow in the replay footage rather than his fist, resulting in Fournier calling him out for “cheating” his way to the win. With a bout as big as Joe Fournier vs. KSI, anything but a clean knockout from either side was bound to be a controversial result. KSI appeared to get exactly that, landing a blow directly to Joe Fournier’s nose and sending him tumbling to the ground. The moment KSI made contact, commentators and fans knew the fight was over. However, upon further review, it appeared that KSI hit Fournier with his forearm or elbow rather than making contact with his fist. Fournier claims that KSI “cheated” with the way he was knocked out and that the match result isn’t valid. Fournier calls out KSI for “cheating” in KO victory In an interview held immediately after the bout, Joe Fournier was visibly unhappy with the result and wasn’t shy to speak out about the knockout decision. “They cheated, clear in black and white. You’ve seen the replays, it’s gone viral all over the world. He hit me with a clean elbow. The ref was right there, watched it.” He continued, “I’ve never been cheated like that in my life. I can’t believe it.” Whether or not the elbow was accidental has started a heated debate, but most people who have watched the clip agree that the elbow made contact for the knockout and not KSI’s fist. Jake Paul gave his opinion on the knockout, saying that KSI should have been disqualified. KSI responds to Joe Fournier’s callout KSI has since responded to the drama surrounding the manner in which he knocked Joe Fournier out, admitting that he made contact with his elbow and that the match result was “not as clean a win” as he wanted. KSI explained his rendition of events as they happened in the ring. “After landing my overhand he was pretty much out on his feet and I went for a short right hook as Joe clinched me and fell into me. I landed that hook and my glove made contact but appears to have been followed by unintentional contact with my forearm.” It remains to be seen if the decision that KSI won the bout holds up. A decision being reversed following the result of a fight isn’t exactly unprecedented, and it remains to be seen whether the result here is affected or if the two fighters end up hopping in the ring once again to see who emerges the victor. But KSI may be a busy man if he responds to Tommy Fury’s callout in kind by touching gloves with him in the ring.

  • Joe Burrow shocks NFL fans with favorite video game reveal – Dexerto

Joe Burrow shocks NFL fans with favorite video game reveal NFLCincinnati Bengals Quarterback Joe Burrow left fans stunned after revealing which video game he spends most of his gaming time on. Life as an NFL QB is a stressful one, and it’s even harder for an elite signal-caller who may be on the fast track to two Super Bowl appearances in a row. While he might not have as much time to game as the average person, ‘Joe Shiesty’ still manages to get his gaming kick in and when asked what title has his attention right now he gave quite the off-the-wall answer. Joe Burrow’s favorite video game scores big with NFL fans A fan approached Burrow during an autograph session and casually tossed him the question as he signed a jersey and it didn’t take long for the Cincinnati sensation to drum up an answer. “I’ve been playing a lot of Star Wars Battlefront lately,” he admitted. This revelation went over big with fans and comments like “another reason to love him” and “just when I thought I couldn’t love him anymore” sitting at the top of the responses. Even fans from other NFL franchises joined in the praise, with some admitting that Burrow’s personality is winning them over. “JOE BURROW IS A STAR WARS BATTLEFRONT FAN! I f***ing love this guy & I wish I was a Bengals fan,” an excited commenter added. The most two recent entries in the Battlefront franchise were met with mixed reviews but they’ve both been creeping towards ‘cult classic’ status thanks to the bigger Star Wars fandom’s constant support and the series has clearly won over the heart of Joey B himself.

  • Joe Fournier appeals loss against KSI after controversial KO – Dexerto

Joe Fournier appeals loss against KSI after controversial KO YouTube: Seconds OutJoe Fournier has reportedly appealed his loss against YouTube star KSI after the influencer KO’d him with his elbow in the second round of their match. KSI’s latest boxing victory has been met with quite a bit of contention as viewers claim he landed an illegal blow on opponent Joe Fournier during the second round of their May 13 bout. Fournier lost the fight by TKO after KSI seemingly knocked Fournier in the nose with his elbow. Although the YouTuber has now won his second match of the year, this win isn’t being widely celebrated by viewers. In fact, the British influencer has even come under fire from his fellow creators, with Jake Paul notably calling him a “liar” over the whole ordeal. Joe Fournier himself has also been vocal about his opinions on the outcome of their fight. After the match, Fournier accused KSI of cheating, saying in a post-match interview: “They cheated, clear in black and white. The ref was right there, watched it. I’ve never been cheated like that in my life. I can’t believe it.” Now, Fournier has reportedly appealed his loss to the boxing commission, as confirmed by Misfits Boxing and their partner, combat sports streaming platform DAZN. Joe Fournier appeals boxing loss after elbow KO In a press release, the Professional Boxing Association claimed they had “received a request from Mr. Joe Fournier to seek a review/appeal of the decision whereby he was stopped by the referee in the second round of the contest, in favor of KSI.” The statement went on to claim that the Association is “seeking legal counsel” and will deliberate with the appropriate parties before coming to a decision on the matter, which will be revealed on Friday, May 19th at 4 PM GMT (9 AM PT / 12 PM EST). This is far from the first time the outcome of an influencer boxing match has come into question. Last year, Faze Temperrr notably won his appeal after losing to King Kenny by split-decision in a match that was widely regarded as “rigged.”

  • JMX emerges as possible Logan Paul challenger for 2020 MMA clash – Dexerto

JMX emerges as possible Logan Paul challenger for 2020 MMA clash Popular British YouTuber Joel ‘JMX’ Morris has called out Logan Paul for an MMA scrap after decisively winning his debut in December 2019. Hot off the heels of a loss to KSI in a professional boxing rematch in November 2019, Paul has slowly been teasing a transition to the world of Mixed Martial Arts. With an athletic background and ample wrestling experience to boot, Paul appears committed to the competitive leap, recently claiming that he will have “one MMA” bout in 2020. Despite calling out the likes of former WWE Champion and brief UFC competitor Phillip ‘CM Punk’ Brooks, the YouTuber’s first proper MMA competitor may have emerged in the form of JMX, after a series of heated callouts. Known for his FIFA-related content on YouTube, JMX made the jump to combat sports by first competing on the undercard of KSI vs Joe Weller in 2018. His debut win with a third-round TKO paved the way for a second bout on the KSI vs Logan Paul undercard. Walking away with a consecutive victory, the content creator then transitioned to MMA and was successful in his professional debut in December 2019. Not wasting any time, JMX was quick to put his name in the hat to welcome the Paul brother to an octagon in the near future. “You might not want to fight me but if you do, I’d love to knee the sh*t out of you,” he said on Twitter alongside a highlight reel from his first MMA contest. Adding to the callout on January 2, JMX elaborated on his debut and continued to rattle off shots at Paul. “We’ve basically just gotta wait for Logan Paul to stop being a b*tch,” he said in regards to when the fight could potentially happen. https://twitter.com/JMXFifa/status/1208489076317392896 “Something to consider,” Paul said during episode 147 of the Impaulsive podcast after being shown the highlight-worthy finish of JMX’s first MMA contest. “I would love to fight that kid.” “Call me a kid all you like but I’ll be his f***ing Dad in the ring,” the British internet star responded in his own video once he saw Paul’s clip. At 6’2” and last competing out of the Light Heavyweight division at 204 pounds, the 21-year-old YouTuber stacks up evenly against his targeted opponent. Also coming in at 6’2”, Paul struggled to make the 200-pound weight limit for his professional boxing rematch against KSI in November 2019. Claiming that he typically walks around at a weight of 205lbs, the tale of the tape would be tremendously similar should this YouTube clash ever come to fruition. With over 2.5 million subscribers on YouTube and professional MMA experience under his belt, perhaps JMX could be the perfect opponent for Paul’s seemingly inevitable debut inside the cage. Feeling as though he only “sort of” lost the rematch to KSI due to a controversial foul that he attempted to appeal, Paul retains all the confidence in the world that his future in the world of combat sports will be brighter than ever.

  • Joe Biden breaks the internet as US takes historic steps to decriminalize weed – Dexerto

Joe Biden breaks the internet as US takes historic steps to decriminalize weed Credit: Wikipedia Commons / Gage SkidmorePresident Joe Biden has announced historic steps his government is taking to federally decriminalize weed across the United States, and the internet is going wild. Slowly but surely, cannabis use across the United States has become more accepted, as more states continue to legalize the use of the substance. The medical use of cannabis has previously been legalized in 39 states across the country, with 19 of them also allowing recreational use. On October 6, President Biden announced federal action to combat what he described as a “failed approach” to cannabis. The US President revealed his plans on Twitter to end custodial sentences for marijuana possession across the country, starting with pardoning all prior federal offenses of simple marijuana possession. “As I’ve said before, no one should be in jail just for using or possessing marijuana. Today, I’m taking steps to end our failed approach,” he said. “I’m pardoning all prior federal offenses of simple marijuana possession. There are thousands of people who were previously convicted of simple possession who may be denied employment, housing, or educational opportunities as a result. My pardon will remove this burden.” He also called for governors to pardon simple state marijuana possession offenses, as nobody should be in a local jail or state prison for it. The President reiterated that cannabis is classified at the same level as heroin, and called on the Secretary of the Department of Health to initiate the process of reviewing how marijuana is scheduled under federal law moving forward. Internet reacts as Joe Biden trends on Twitter Biden’s announcement was trending on Twitter globally within minutes. One user replied with an edited photo of the President smoking a joint, with the caption: “If only I could be there to hotbox the oval office with you tonight sir.” It’s important to note that President Biden has only put plans in motion to curb prison sentences for marijuana, not legalize it. This only puts an end to custodial sanctions for those in possession under a specified amount, at the federal level. However, many suggested for the President to go even further, and fully legalize it country-wide for recreational use. “This is all great but I have one more suggestion: how about we federally legalize it already? It’s far past time.”

However, she’s encountered quite a few frightening encounters during these streams, such as the time her phone was snatched by a motorcyclist earlier this year. Jinny surrounded by strangers filming her during IRL stream More recently, though, Jinny became a victim of stalking. Law enforcement got involved after the streamer was followed by a hooded man for hours during a live stream earlier this week, and he was ultimately arrested and institutionalized for “mental problems.” It seems that her traveling woes haven’t ended, as the streamer was recently surrounded by three strangers while taking a break on the street in Taiwan. A viral clip taken from one of her most recent broadcasts shows Jinny sitting near a road while three men pull out their phones to seemingly film and take photos of her. “This is awkward,” Jinny said of the situation, while one of the men even waved at the camera. Concerned chatters sounded off about the unpleasant goings-on, although Jinny just laughed at the ordeal. It seems like her trip to Taiwan hasn’t been all bad, though, as she was warmly greeted by fans in another clip taken from her journey to the country. As previously mentioned, this is far from the first time Jinny has dealt with uncomfortable interactions with strangers. Last year, Jinny had some choice words for a drunk bystander who called her career as a Twitch star “sad.”

  • Jinnytty confirms Twitch ban after The Last of Us 2 comments – Dexerto

Jinnytty confirms Twitch ban after The Last of Us 2 comments yyj0728, Instagram / Naughty Dog[jwplayer Y7PB7YwV]Popular influencer and variety streamer ‘Jinnytty’ has confirmed that she has been banned from Twitch for two weeks, admitting that the suspension came as a result of her comments about a character from The Last of Us 2. Update, July 25: Jinny has now been unbanned, with her suspension lasting only eight hours. She posted a public statement to apologize for the incident. The Last of Us Part 2 has been a divisive release among fans of the franchise, with many critics taking issue with key elements and characters in the title’s story. One character in particular has seen ample discourse — Abby, a muscular, female character who received backlash from critics who claimed her body was too unrealistically “fit” for the game’s post-apocalyptic world. Jinny’s ban from Twitch, which was made public via the StreamerBans Twitter account on July 24, is surprisingly tied into the conversation surrounding Abby, as she admitted in her private Discord channel shortly thereafter. Screenshots taken by Dexerto from the channel show multiple messages from Jinny, with one reading, “I just got two weeks ban for calling Abby ‘transgender’ during The Last of Us 2. So called, ‘Hateful comment.’” “Well, time to appeal,” she continued. “Aaaaand banned.” A recovered clip of the incident has since been released, which shows that Jinny did, indeed, make the comment while playing as Abby during a portion of the game. (Warning! Clip may contain spoilers.) “I wanna see Ellie and Joel, like seriously,” she said. “I don’t wanna look at this transgender anymore. Please.” “…what do you mean, ‘Woah, Jinny!’” she continued, in apparent reply to the backlash she may have received from her chat over the matter. “You guys call me transgender. …Oh my God, you know? I have no patience.” While many of Jinny’s fans have argued that a two-week suspension seems a bit lengthy, plenty have expressed concern over her comment, with some claiming that she’s made similar remarks in the past. “I enjoy Jinny’s content a lot, but I’ve seen her do a lot of trans jokes but were super iffy,” one fan wrote. “I give her the benefit of a doubt that she doesn’t really get what she’s doing, since a lot of her humor comes from Twitch chat, but she needs to realize what she’s saying.” Jinny has yet to make a public statement regarding the incident via her social media accounts, outside of confirming the ban via her Discord channel.

  • Jinny comes under fire on Twitch for “ableist” joke about Spider-Man cosplayer – Dexerto

Jinny comes under fire on Twitch for “ableist” joke about Spider-Man cosplayer Twitch: JinnyttyTwitch star Jinny has come under fire from the streaming community after making an “ableist” joke about a young Spider-Man cosplayer in a wheelchair while at the Los Angeles Comic-Con for an IRL stream. Popular IRL streamer Jinny has come under heavy fire from Twitch fans after making a comment about a child in a wheelchair dressed as superhero Spider-Man. The 29-year-old was broadcasting her adventures at the Los Angeles Comic-Con over the weekend when she walked past a parent, dressed as Dr Strange, and their child, who was in a wheelchair. Jinny exclaimed in excitement at the costumes, catching the attention of the child’s caretaker. “Oh wow, this is really cool. Like a… Stephen Hawking Spider-Man,” she then proclaimed, within earshot of the pair, before repeating herself again as she walked away. “Yeah, they’re like a Stephen Hawking Spider-Man.” The now-deleted clip quickly went viral online, with most Twitch fans demanding Jinny apologize for her comments, and dubbing her “ableist” for the joke. As soon as Jinny made her comment, her Twitch chat was flooded with responses begging her to apologize, and telling her the Spider-Man cosplayer was a child. “That kid is actually disabled,” one wrote, while another told Jinny she was “rude” and “ableist” for making the joke in the first place. The backlash continued on Reddit and Twitter too, where one commenter suggested it was a “very strange thing to joke” whether the streamer knew it was a prop or not. Jinny didn’t originally respond to the outpouring in her chat, continuing around the convention, but hastily apologized when she saw the torrent of comments telling her that she had made a mistake. “Is that an actual person? That was an actual person? That’s my bad, I thought someone made it. I didn’t know,” she said. “My bad. I actually didn’t know.” The streamer’s December VOD in question has since been deleted, though her other Comic-Con streams still remain available. This isn’t the first time the popular Korean star has come under fire for on-stream comments in recent months either. In September, the 29-year-old found herself on the wrong side of internet scrutiny after she filmed a UK security officer then lied about it, allegedly breaking several laws in the process. Beyond her original apology during the Comic-Con stream on Twitch, Jinny has yet to address the “Stephen Hawking” joke or the ensuing backlash online.

  • Jinny banned from Twitch again for reckless driving – Dexerto

Jinny banned from Twitch again for reckless driving Twitch/JinnyttyTwitch star Jinny has revealed that the streaming platform will be banning her after she drove quite recklessly on a scooter while visiting Germany. [jwplayer smynPnSq] The popular IRL streamer explained to her viewers that her impromptu decision to ride a scooter without very much experience was a bad idea. “I got banned. Not yet, but I will get banned because of scooter,” she said. “Because I don’t have a driver’s license, I’ve never tried scooter that much. So, I made a lot of mistakes.” As Jinny further noted, even though she tried to be careful, mistakes were bound to happen. “So, I’m just not going to ride scooter to avoid any mistakes being made.” In a since-deleted clip, Jinny can be seen riding a scooter while wobbling and appearing to have significant trouble steering. At one point, the streamer even ran a red light and nearly bumped into other people trying to ride their vehicles. “It was green! Damn it!” she cursed after crossing the road. “Wasn’t it green?” How long will Jinny be banned for? According to the Korean streamer, this ban will last for seven days, because this isn’t the first time Twitch has had to discipline her. As Dexerto previously reported, Jinny was first banned back in July after playing The Last of Us Part 2 on stream. During the broadcast, she erroneously referred to the female character, Abby, as a “transgender” which resulted in the platform banning her for a “hateful comment.” However, Jinny was unbanned a mere eight hours later after making a public apology. The ban timing is extremely unfortunate as Jinny is in the middle of a trip, so being unable to stream takes some fun out of the experience. For her part, however, Jinny is taking the ban seriously and accepts that it was her fault. As for when she will be banned, she claimed that it will happen when it’s “morning in NA,” so the ban should be kicking in at some point on October 20.

  • Jinny slams “pathetic loser” stream sniper who made racist remarks during IRL broadcast – Dexerto

Jinny slams “pathetic loser” stream sniper who made racist remarks during IRL broadcast Twitch: jinnyttyPopular IRL Twitch streamer Jinnytty was broadcasting another of her excursions abroad when she was approached by a stream sniper who made racist comments toward her. Jinny is a well-known presence in the Twitch world. The tri-lingual streamer regularly broadcasts her trips around the world and shares them with her half-million followers… although her travels aren’t always sunshine and rainbows. Unfortunately, Jinny has recorded many run-ins with rude and racist bystanders during her time as an influencer — unacceptable experiences that have been shared by several other IRL broadcasters in the past. Jinny experienced yet another act of racism during a recent trip to New York City. During the stream, the influencer was walking along a harbor when she noticed a man speaking loudly behind her. Not thinking much of it at first, Jinny continued on her walk before the man approached her and mentioned her stream. The stranger appeared to boast that he was a “YouTube star” and followed Jinny as she walked, calling himself “the most entertaining person she’ll have on [here]” before plugging his channel. “I sort of live to offend and insult people, that’s my thing,” he continued. “So, I could say most of the people in your chat are losers? …they’re losers, gawkers and stalkers, every single one.” At first, Jinny was polite and played along — until the man asked if she were broadcasting to China. Their conversation ended shortly thereafter, with Jinny waving bye to him as he went on his way. “Love your channel, not at all!” he exclaimed. “All you losers, bunch of lurkers and gawkers, have fun. Go back to Wuhan.” “What a pathetic loser,” Jinny said. “Yikes! We met a loser IRL. You guys are not losers. He is the definition, the epitome of loser-ness.” As usual, Jinny appeared to handle the uncomfortable situation quite well in spite of his hateful comments, and had the full support of her chat after the awkward encounter.

  • Jimmy Kimmel takes jab at Logan Paul on his show calling him “the worst” – Dexerto

Jimmy Kimmel takes jab at Logan Paul on his show calling him “the worst” YouTube: Jimmy Kimmel Live / Instagram: loganpaulTalk show host Jimmy Kimmel has taken a jab at Logan Paul in a new episode of his show, comparing him to Donald Trump and calling them “the very worst people in the whole world.” If there’s one thing that YouTuber Logan Paul is known for these days, it’s boxing. Alongside younger brother Jake, the influencer has been making his presence known in the sporting world, fighting huge names in the sport like Floyd Mayweather. However, prior to getting involved with boxing, the oldest Paul brother had somewhat of a controversial reputation. This was largely due to the ‘suicide forest’ incident in Japan which got him an enormous amount of backlash in 2018. On his talk show on September 10, host Jimmy Kimmel was discussing the fact that former US President Donald Trump would be doing live commentary of the September 11 fight between Evander Holyfield and Vitor Belfort. Kimmel reported that Trump has been “bragging that he’s going to make an obscene amount of money” from the event. The host went on to say: “Who would pay to listen to Trump BS his way through a boxing match? Holyfield might wind up biting his own ears off in this one. Between Logan Paul and Donald Trump, boxing is once again the top source of income for the very worst people in the whole world.” Topic starts at 9:54 While some found the joke funny, others wondered about the show’s demographic, saying “I don’t think the majority of his audience know who Logan Paul is.” Logan hasn’t responded to Kimmel’s comment at the time of writing, but many were surprised to see the YouTube star’s name mentioned in the show.

  • Jinny baffled after having to pay $2,500 fee to use Twitch at museum – Dexerto

Jinny baffled after having to pay $2,500 fee to use Twitch at museum Twitch/JinnyPopular IRL Twitch streamer Jinny was left absolutely confused after she was told she had to pay a big fee in order to broadcast her trip to a museum in Norway. Jinny is one of Twitch’s IRL streaming stars having documented her outrageous travels across the world and all the shenanigans she finds herself in. Over the years she’s had her phone stolen on stream, set her backyard on fire, and even had to deal with a hooded man stalking her for hours. Despite all her past encounters, however, nothing could have prepared her for the moment she was told to pay a massive $2,500 fee to be on Twitch during her time checking out a museum Museum staff demand Jinny pay $2,500 fee to use Twitch During a tour of the Norwegian Museum of Cultural History, Jinny walked into a blacksmith area where an employee inquired if she was on Twitch. After confirming she was streaming, the employee revealed that to use Twitch, she would have to pay up. “You’re going to have to talk with the receptionist,” he said. “It’s not cheap. It’s the policy. 25,000. So, if you don’t have that, then stop streaming on Twitch.” 25,000 Norwegian Krone converts to roughly $2,500 – something that Jinny wasn’t exactly fond of paying in the name of content. The employee then admitted that he was “told” to inform her about this policy, resulting in the streamer leaving the area and deciding to end her trip to the museum early. It’s not clear why the museum implemented the policy, but in the past, we have seen Twitch streamers cause quite a ruckus while touring parts of the world such as accidentally getting locked in a graveyard.

Pat McAfee apologizes after Jimmy Kimmel slams Aaron Rodgers over “reckless” comments Pat McAfee Show / Erin ScottPat McAfee has apologized, after TV host Jimmy Kimmel issued a fiery response to comments made about him by NFL star Aaron Rodgers on McAfee’s show. The Jets QB appeared to imply that Kimmel would be named on Jeffrey Epstein’s infamous associates list. On The Pat McAfee Show, Rodgers said that there were a lot of people worried about the impending release of the names, adding “including Jimmy Kimmel.” Previously, Kimmel had criticized Rodgers for an older clip on the podcast which made a similar implication. “If that list comes out, I definitely will be popping some sort of bottle,” Rodgers concluded. After the clip was shared and went viral on X/Twitter, Kimmel issued a response. Jimmy Kimmel responds to Aaron Rodgers In addition to refuting the implication made by Rodgers, Kimmel hinted that legal action would be his next potential step. “Dear Aasshole: for the record, I’ve not met, flown with, visited, or had any contact whatsoever with Epstein, nor will you find my name on any ‘list’ other than the clearly-phony nonsense that soft-brained wackos like yourself can’t seem to distinguish from reality,” Kimmel retorted. “Your reckless words put my family in danger. Keep it up and we will debate the facts further in court.” Kimmel’s response instantly went viral, clocking in over 150,000 likes on X at the time of writing. Pat McAfee apologizes Rodgers is not particularly active on X/Twitter, and so has not yet rebuttled, but may do so when he makes his weekly Tuesday appearance on McAfee’s show. On the next day’s show, McAfee said, “Whenever there’s accusations made about people, that can lead to lawsuits.” “We obviously don’t like the fact we’re associated with anything negative, ever. […] So we apologize for being a part of it. Can’t wait to hear what Aaron has to say about it. Hopefully those two will just be able to settle this, not court-wise, but be able to chit-chat, move along.”

  • Jimmy Kimmel responds after Logan Paul blasts him over “lame” joke – Dexerto

Jimmy Kimmel responds after Logan Paul blasts him over “lame” joke YouTube: Logan Paul / Jimmy Kimmel LiveAfter Logan Paul called out Jimmy Kimmel for his comments comparing the YouTuber to former US President Donald Trump, the talk show host has responded again. Logan Paul and Jimmy Kimmel’s feud first began on a September 10 episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live, when the host made a joke about the YouTuber when discussing former president Donald Trump doing commentary for a boxing match between Evander Holyfield and Vitor Belfort. “Between Logan Paul and Donald Trump, boxing is once again the top source of income for the very worst people in the whole world,” Kimmel said. However, Logan was certainly not happy about the joke, and brought it up in an episode of his podcast, IMPAULSIVE. “You f**king a**hole, Jimmy Kimmel!” Paul said. “Honestly Jimmy, f**k you, bro! I’m not — no, f**k that! How are you about to invite me on the show, and have cordial, friendly, familial relationship, and then a year and a half later — when, by the way, I’m doing well,” he added, referring to the fact that he had appeared on the show previously. Topic starts at 11:03 He went on to say: “That is the lamest s**t to me,” he continued. “That is so f**king lame. Your writers were so lacking content and creativity that they had to do some lame-a** Paul joke?” Jimmy Kimmel responds It didn’t take long for Kimmel to see Paul’s furious reaction, and he ended up inserting the clip into a monologue on September 17. “I made a joke about him the other night that he did not like at all,” he said, after introducing his “conflict” with the star. He then went on to show Logan’s strong reaction to the comments. “Ah, come on now, had I known you fondly called me JK, I never would have said any of that stuff. I’m sorry LP.” Topic starts at 9:04 “I hope we can be bros again, dude, I really do, and I’m sorry about your testicle,” he said, referring to one of the stories Logan told when he appeared on the show, “I forgot about that. You know what? To make up for it, I’m gonna give you one of my testicles.” It’s certainly been an unlikely feud between the pair, but whether Logan has anything more to say on the matter remains to be seen.

  • Jimmy Kimmel asks parents to turn TV off while kids play Fortnite with predictably hilarious results – Dexerto

Jimmy Kimmel asks parents to turn TV off while kids play Fortnite with predictably hilarious results Popular talk show host Jimmy Kimmel asked parents to turn off their child’s TV while they were playing Fortnite, and some of the reactions were very amusing. Kimmel has become well known for asking viewers of his late night show to play pranks on their family members, like parents telling their children that they had eaten all of their child’s Halloween candy, or people throwing snowballs at sleeping victims while they’re in bed. Kimmel asks these pranksters to record the act, and then creates a funny montage of some of the best clips. This time, the former Oscars host wanted parents to switch off the TV while their children were playing Fortnite, much to the displeasure of those attempting to earn a Victory Royale. Unsurprisingly, the results of this prank were incredibly entertaining, with children screaming in anguish as the screen went black in the middle of their important game. As one young Fortnite player entered into a battle with an opponent, the TV turned off, leading him to spin around in his seat, screeching: “What just happened? It just turned off! Daddy, why did you do that?” Another kid was furious as his TV went off, yelling “Please, Stop!” at his dad who giggled behind the camera. The boy eventually got his dad to turn the screen back on, but only when he had begrudgingly said hello to Jimmy Kimmel. However, not every prank went according to plan, as some parents found their phones and cameras slapped out of their hands by angry kids who were annoyed that they were recording them, while one mother attempted to turn the TV off, but humorously couldn’t find the button on the side of the TV!

  • Jimmy Kimmel enlists band Dawes to cover viral TikTok song about Menthol Soap – Dexerto

Jimmy Kimmel enlists band Dawes to cover viral TikTok song about Menthol Soap YouTube: Jimmy Kimmel LiveJimmy Kimmel has enlisted rock band Dawes to cover a song from a viral TikTok about menthol soap, surprising the creators involved – and it is just as crazy as it sounds. It all began when Duston Baker was taking a shower, and instead of picking up normal soap, he picked up menthol soap that his wife had accidentally bought for him. Of course, using the soap was particularly uncomfortable for poor Duston, prompting him to come up with his own song about the traumatic experience. The song is hilarious, surprisingly catchy, and features the lyrics “Well, I worked all day and I worked all night, I wanna come home and feel alright but something’s got me shaking in my skin, I opened it up and slathered it on, now I’m sitting here singing this song, I washed my ass with menthol soap again.” As he often sings the song, his wife Riley decided to record it one day and post it to TikTok, thinking nothing of it – since, at the time, she only had 25 followers. To their surprise, the TikTok blew up and has now been viewed more than 8 million times. Jimmy Kimmel spotted the viral video and subsequently invited the couple to be interviewed live on his show. Duston described the experience of using menthol soap, adding that he had physically recovered, but not mentally. Duston also added that as a young man he’d always wanted to be a rockstar, and now his mom claims he’s done it with the song becoming an overnight sensation, and even his friends at home call him “menthol man.” But Jimmy decided to take the song to the next level and surprised the couple with a live rock cover of the song by the band Dawes, who added their own professional twist to the already incredible verse. Riley and Duston were completely shocked, dying with laughter and singing along. As a finishing touch, Jimmy even offered the couple a porcelain record version of the track. Little did Riley know that a simple mistake in her day-to-day shopping would result in world fame.

Jimmy Fallon thought he was canceled after viral RuPaul interview Instagram: jimmyfallon, rupaulofficialLate-night US television host Jimmy Fallon has explained why he thought he was going to be canceled after a clip from an interview with drag queen RuPaul went viral. RuPaul is one of the most notable drag queens in the world, thanks largely due to the huge success of his show RuPaul Drag Race, and had appeared on The Tonight Show to promote the new season of the show. In the viral clip, Jimmy had called RuPaul a drag queen, and was immediately cut off by the star saying “drag queen?!” Jimmy looked terrified, thinking he had got something wrong, before RuPaul clarified that he is “the queen of drag.” LMFAOOOOOOO Jimmy Fallon thought he was about to get CANCELED😭😭😭😭 I’m SCREAMING pic.twitter.com/TGHccn1B1u — Tyonne ✪ (@issa6foot3) February 7, 2020 Jimmy’s face was priceless, and the internet immediately started joking about how clearly he had thought he had messed up, with the clip amassing over 7 million views throughout the weekend after it happened. Though Fallon sees the funny side now, he reiterates how terrified he was during the conversation, saying that he “honestly thought it was over.” “That’s it, I’m canceled,” he said. “I started my own hashtag, #JimmyFallonIsOverParty. I was like ‘I had a good run, I had 10 years in the business.’ But it was so funny.” Jimmy went on to repeat RuPaul’s appalled “drag queen” exclamation with a brilliant impersonation, before extending his thanks to the Queen of Drag and calling it a “very funny moment.” Jimmy wouldn’t be the first person to have a hashtag to celebrate canceling them – earlier in January 2020, #DuaLipaisOverParty was trending on Twitter because of her appearance at a Los Angeles strip club. This might be one of the greatest pranks we’ve seen pulled on national television, and Fallon will no doubt think twice before he dares call RuPaul a drag queen again.

Back on January 12, Pokimane ended her Valorant stream pretty abruptly after her chat become flooded with a spam of “L + Ratio” as well as some more explicit messages. It was pointed out to the OfflineTV member that she had been the target of a hate raid from fellow streamer JiDion. The popular YouTuber-turned-Twitch streamer copped a 14-day ban for his part in the harassment, before that was shortly upgraded to a permanent ban. He has since apologized for his actions, and asked Twitch to shorten the ban, but that is unlikely to happen. While he has somewhat distanced himself from the drama, some of his fans haven’t let it go. With some of his viewers continuing to go at Pokimane across social media and Twitch, the popular YouTuber urged them to move on and put it all behind them. “To my boys, I appreciate y’all and I know y’all think what your doing is helping but it’s only causing more problems,” JiDion tweeted on January 30. “Please leave Pokimane alone and just drop it because I’ve moved on and y’all should too. If you rock with me you’ll listen, thanks.” Some fans quickly backed his message, telling others to heed his warning if they want to see him back on Twitch. Though, others stated that they wouldn’t “bow” or “surrender.” To my boys I appreciate y’all and I know y’all think what your doing is helping but it’s only causing more problems. Please leave @pokimanelol alone and just drop it because I’ve moved on and y’all should to. If you rock with me you’ll listen thanks. — WiDion (@Jidion6) January 30, 2022 With JiDion being banned from Twitch for a breach of their guidelines on harassment, its pretty unlikely that his ban will be reduced anytime soon. He might be able to return to the platform at some point in the future, but it remains to be seen if he’ll do so.

  • JiDion wanted for criminal trespassing in Houston following prank video – Dexerto

JiDion wanted for criminal trespassing in Houston following prank video YouTube/damiiYTJiDion has a warrant for his arrest in Houston for criminal trespassing after a YouTube prank video. On April 10, popular YouTuber and banned Twitch streamer JiDion revealed that he has a warrant for his arrest in Houston after he filmed a video with fellow content creator ‘damii.’ In the video, JiDion and damii presented a college professor with a balloon, bear, and flowers for Valentine’s Day, but ended up causing quite a disruption in class. Despite the professor trying to get the YouTubers to leave, the duo refused, even after being threatened with a call to the University of Houston Police Department. JiDion wanted after criminal trespassing in YouTube prank A few weeks after the incident, a case was filed in March and a warrant was issued. However, this warrant could have some major issues for the YouTuber who actually lives in Houston and can’t exactly avoid the area. “That’s where I live,” he explained to a fan who said he shouldn’t go to Houston ever again. Damii, meanwhile, has continued to post videos to YouTube with his latest being posted just three days ago, so it’s unclear what legal predicament he is currently facing. The case against JiDion is currently listed as inactive, which means that it’s yet to go to judgment due to the defendant either not being found or being unavailable. This news comes just days after JiDion, Adin Ross and others were in Florida for UFC 287 and met with former US President Donald Trump. JiDion has yet to share any other information about the case or what his plan will be, but it’s hardly the first time a YouTube prank backfired. Just recently, a creator was shot at the mall when he pranked a shopper at the food court.

  • JiDion slams Logan Paul over suicide forest controversy amid Dillon Danis feud – Dexerto

JiDion slams Logan Paul over suicide forest controversy amid Dillon Danis feud YouTube: JiDionPremium, FLAGRANTYouTube prankster JiDion is putting Logan Paul on blast, bringing up his ‘suicide forest’ controversy from 2017 amid his ongoing feud with Dillon Danis. Logan Paul is beefing with a few prominent people right now, one of them being mixed martial artist Dillon Danis. These two are set to touch gloves in October — and to gear up for their fight, Danis has been antagonizing his opponent on social media. Over the past few weeks, Danis has been relentlessly posting photos of Paul’s fiance, model Nina Agdal, appearing to imply that she’s slept with a slew of high-profile men. This has caused an avalanche of negative comments toward both Agdal and Paul online. Amid this feud, Paul has also struck up a beef with fellow YouTuber JiDion, lashing out at the prankster and calling him a “two-faced b*tch” after he reacted to Dillon’s posts, seeming to find them funny (although JiDion did make sure to say that Danis was taking things a bit too far). Paul later appeared on an episode of Andrew Schulz’s FLAGRANT podcast, where he opened up on his issues with JiDion. Paul claimed that JiDion’s views on Danis and his previous argument with his brother, Jake, are to blame for their current spat — which he thinks is a bit too much. “You’ve worked with us, with PRIME. You’ve been on my podcast, we’re friends. We have an open dialogue. I even gave you advice for some stuff in your career. Because of these two things that I think were very reasonable, why are you completely flipping to someone who’s an evil human?” (Topic begins at 1:29:00) JiDion puts Logan Paul on blast with scathing comments amid Dillon Danis feud JiDion reacted to Paul’s comments during a recent live stream, where he appeared to take issue with Logan calling Danis’s antics “evil.” Instead, he brought up Logan’s infamous incident in Japan’s Aokigahara ‘suicide forest’ from late 2017, calling that particular incident “evil.” “Going at a dude’s wife, I’m not gonna lie, that’s some pretty low stuff. But it’s not f*cking evil. Devious, menacing, yeah. Evil? You filmed a dead body. That’s evil.” “Realistically speaking, a guy that’s just putting pictures up of your own fiance that are already on the internet — you know, that’s just sh*t talking. You went to a place to find a dead body. Literally, the place is called ‘suicide forest.’” (Topic begins at 47:16) Thus far, Paul has yet to respond to JiDion’s latest comments… but JiDion isn’t the only one who’s got a score to settle with the YouTuber. Recently, Kai Cenat even called out Paul over his feud with JiDion, demanding that he apologize for calling him “two-faced.”

JiDion is a popular YouTuber best known for his extremely viral pranks, boasting over 5.8 million subscribers on his main channel. JiDion was one of 34 influencers who were invited to the United Kingdom to take part in the Sidemen Charity football match, a soccer game hosted by the popular British YouTube group ‘the Sidemen.’ Will JiDion play in Sidemen charity match? Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like he’ll be able to compete, despite being locked in for the competition. JiDion broke the news in a series of photos and videos posted to Instagram stories on September 22, where he showed footage of a slew of personal items tossed outside on a yard at night. According to the YouTube prankster, he’d been suddenly evicted from his home, and all of his personal belongings were placed outside. The influencer said he would be “MIA” for a while as he figures out his next living situation — and he also won’t be traveling abroad anytime soon. JiDion claims passport was stolen after items thrown out of home during eviction JiDion claims that his passport was among the items removed from his house, and says that his things were sitting outside for ten hours. Some of them were apparently stolen… including his travel documents. “I was supposed to be on a plane heading to the UK for the Sidemen Charity match but when they threw all my stuff outside, they threw my passport, as well as all my other belongings outside for ten hours, so a lot of my stuff was taken, including that and other important things,” he explained. “Won’t be able to make it this year.” JiDion’s fans have been flooding his social media accounts with supportive comments amid this latest news. Thus far, neither KSI nor the official Sidemen account have yet to speak on JiDion’s absence, nor the unfortunate circumstances of his inability to travel. This latest news follows another major sporting moment for the star, after he was booted out of the US Open for getting a haircut while sitting in the audience.

  • JiDion says he almost backed out of viral WNBA sleeping prank – Dexerto

JiDion says he almost backed out of viral WNBA sleeping prank YouTube: FlagrantYouTube star JiDion revealed on the Flagrant podcast with Andrew Schulz that he almost backed out of doing the viral WNBA sleeping prank that got him banned from future games. Over the last few years, JiDion has become quite popular on YouTube thanks to his viral prank videos that garner millions of views across social media. His most recent prank involved him going to a women’s basketball event and acting like he was sleeping in courtside seats. JiDion was promptly banned from “all NBA-related events,” and now he’s revealed that the prank almost didn’t happen in the first place. JiDion almost backed out of viral WNBA sleeping prank During an interview with Andrew Schulz on the Flagrant podcast, JiDion shared more information about his viral WNBA prank. “I was at their game… I genuinely had a great time. I told my filmer, ‘Yeah, i’m not doing it,’ and I p**sied out. I was thinking about not doing it,” he said. That is, until he talked to some of his friends and was convinced to grab his sleeping bag, pillow, and head out to his court side seats to do the video. (Topic starts at 10:32) “We did it. I did feel bad, [though],” he continued. “It was an asshole thing to do.” The YouTuber also hit out at people who called him out after the prank went viral for being “misogynistic” since the prank happened at a WNBA event. “Just cause you’re trolling a little bit doesn’t mean you hate women,” JiDion said. It doesn’t appear that he’s going to be slowing down with his videos anytime soon, as JiDion’s YouTube channel is more popular than ever. He’s even created his own YouTube series alongside star Niko Omilana called “The Biggest Menace,” although the finale took place earlier this year.

  • Jidion slams Hasan for “patronizing” reaction to viral YouTube video: “I know what racism is” – Dexerto

Jidion slams Hasan for “patronizing” reaction to viral YouTube video: “I know what racism is” YouTube: Jidion, Anthony PadillaPopular YouTuber Jidion is hitting back at Twitch streamer and political commentator Hasan after the broadcaster reacted to his video visiting “the most racist town in America.” Jidion is a YouTuber with a combined 6.6 million subscribers across multiple channels. While he’s been creating content for some time, he found himself making headlines earlier this year after feuding with Twitch streamer Pokimane. Although the two squashed their beef in an internet-breaking mukbang video, Jidion has since found himself in another squabble with a high-profile influencer: Hasan. The issue began when Hasan reacted to one of Jidion’s videos, where he visited the “most racist town in America” — Harrison, Arkansas. Jidion claimed that his experiences in the town were contrary to his initial expectations. The creator said in an interview with Harrison’s mayor, Jerry Jackson, that he’d received “a lot of love” from the townspeople, but admitted that he did “get a few looks.” His video has racked up over 6 million views since being published on May 6, 2022. Hasan reacted to Jidion’s video a short while later. In his reaction, Hasan pointed out that “just because a town is racist doesn’t mean that they’re going to be literally running around and doing hate crimes,” before claiming that Jidion “doesn’t give a s**t” and was primarily “worried about making clickbait stuff and doing comedy.” (Topic begins at 2:24) Jidion hits back at Hasan’s “patronizing” comments Jidion hit back at these statements in a stream the next day, where he took issue with Hasan “patronizing” him regarding the topic of racism. “I do give a s**t,” Jidion argued. “First, I’m a Black man. It doesn’t matter how many followers I have, or what influence I have. First things first, I’m a Black man.… I do care.” “I don’t have a skewed perception of what racism is,” he continued. “I’ve been Black 21 years of my life. I know what racism is. I know the different forms that it comes in.” “I could have died while I was out there. I risked my life because I wanted to actually see it for myself, instead of letting a video dictate my opinion. I’m not going to let a two-minute video dictate my opinion of an entire town.” Near the end of his stream, Jidion called Hasan “all talk,” claiming he “just doesn’t have the balls” to “get down in the trenches and do what I do” in speaking to the town’s locals about racism. Hasan has yet to comment further on the situation at the time of writing.

  • JiDion responds to boxing callout from Swarmz amid January fight rumors – Dexerto

JiDion responds to boxing callout from Swarmz amid January fight rumors YouTube: JiDionPremium / Twitter: Swarmz_JiDion has reacted to a callout from British rapper Swarmz, who challenged him for a boxing match in January as rumors continue to swirl of a possible “Prime card” event. Swarmz recently fought YouTube star KSI as part of his ‘two fights, one night’ event on August 27. Although he was soundly defeated by his opponent, he’s looking to get back into the ring early next year on KSI’s undercard for an event that fans are calling the ‘Prime card,’ referencing KSI and Logan Paul’s PRIME Hydration beverage line. For now, nothing has been confirmed regarding this mystery card — but Swarmz is seemingly interested in snagging a piece of the pie. On September 29, the rapper posted a statement that many fans took to be a challenge toward fellow YouTuber JiDion: “Swarmz vs Jidion – January!!!!” He made a few other tweets alluding to a possible fight between them, leading viewers to ask JiDion if he was really down to take on Swarmz in the ring… but it doesn’t look like he’s too interested in taking on the rapper for his first bout. JiDion explains why he doesn’t want to box Swarmz JiDion reacted to Swarmz’s callout during a YouTube video shortly thereafter, admitting that he would rather take on a more prolific opponent for his boxing debut. “I’m gonna be completely honest — I don’t wanna fight Swarmz,” he admitted. “And it’s not because I’m scared of him. It’s not because of anything.” “I see Swarmz, and it doesn’t motivate me,” he continued. “I want an opponent to where I wake up in the f**kin’ middle of the night having dreams of them knocking me out, and I get scared. …and I wake up in the middle of the night and I start training. Is that fair?” “I feel like Swarmz isn’t gonna be what gets me up to go train and f**kin’ get right. But also, I gotta realize, this is my first fight. I’m not fighting f**kin’ Anthony Joshua or Canelo or somebody, but like, I want that fear, you know?” The YouTuber did not give a definite yes or no answer during his broadcast and has not released any official statement on the possible fight at the time of writing, leaving fans curious to see who, if anyone, he’ll choose for his debut bout. Initially, JiDion called out Joe Weller, but now says that his British rival likely won’t step into the ring anytime soon due to purported issues stemming from his bout against KSI back in 2018. For now, mixed martial artist Dillon Danis is eyeing KSI as his next opponent as this mysterious January fight card continues to pick up steam.

  • Jidion reveals shock Pokimane collab after Twitch hate raid drama – Dexerto

Jidion reveals shock Pokimane collab after Twitch hate raid drama Twitter: Jidion6Popular streamer Pokimane is releasing a collaboration with fellow broadcaster Jidion, nearly a month after he orchestrated a hate raid against her that resulted in his permanent ban from Twitch. On January 13, Imane ‘Pokimane’ Anys was forced to end her Twitch stream early after fans of fellow broadcaster Jidion began spamming her chat and harassing her viewers on his orders. The drama escalated from there; Anys revealed that all of her social media accounts were similarly getting spammed with hateful and inappropriate messages. The issue resulted in Jidion getting permanently banned from Twitch. Anys also copped a legal threat from none other than Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins, who suggested during a stream that he’d contacted his Twitch reps in an attempt to reverse Jidion’s ban. Jidion collabing with Pokimane after hate raid drama Jidion has since apologized for the hate raid and has made efforts to distance himself from the ongoing harassment against Pokimane. It’s been fairly quiet on this front over the past week or so… until February 3, when Jidion posted a Tweet that no one expected. Jidion shared a photo of himself chowing down on some McDonald’s with none other than Pokimane, asking his fans for any questions they might have for the two of them. https://twitter.com/Jidion6/status/1489354738789339139?s=20&t=LNR6j2f2F6QjaVfO1bvoHg Jidion explains surprise collab with Pokimane Jidion then took to Instagram live to shed some light on the situation in a short broadcast. The streamer claimed that fans’ questions would be answered in “three to five weeks,” saying it would take him a “minute to post the video.” “I don’t like beef,” he continued. “I’m a chill dude. That’s all I gotta say. … If you have a disagreement with a person, it can always be mended. That’s all I’m gonna say.” Pokimane herself also commented on this strange turn of events, posting a humorous callback to Jidion’s statement on his initial Twitch ban in January. It’s unclear if there’s anything more in store from these streamers besides their upcoming QnA session, but it’s certainly throwing the internet for a loop, as many thought these two would never find common ground after what took place last month.
