Joe Rogan reveals his concern with TikTok’s terms and services YOUTUBE: POWERFULJREJoe Rogan was left in disbelief after reading TikTok’s terms and services, saying parts of their privacy policy are “crazy.” On a recent episode of his podcast, the ‘Joe Rogan Experience,’ Rogan claimed TikTok could pose a threat to the data privacy of its users. He told his guest Theo Von: “Oh my God! I read TikTok’s terms and services. I went down a TikTok rabbit hole yesterday.” When Von asked if they were good or bad, Rogan responded “Bad!” “I stayed home, smoked a little weed, and started reading up on TikTok. Oh my God! I’m gonna read you this, ’cause this is so crazy,” he said, before reading articles from the social media app’s privacy policy. “Listen to this, this is from TikTok’s privacy policy,” he continued. “It said, ‘We collect certain information about the device you use to access the platform, such as your IP address, user region.’ This is really crazy.” Joe Rogan reveals concern about TikTok policies Rogan appeared to be worried about the social media app’s ability to monitor “keystroke patterns” and “audio settings.” He said agreeing to the terms gives TikTok the ability to see what its users type, and to listen to them through their devices’ mics. When his guest, Von, asked Rogan what happens once the social media app collects its users’ data, he responded: “It ends with China having all your data.” The UFC color commentator firmly believes that the Chinese social media platform poses a threat to users’ data privacy and safety. During the podcast discussion, Von asked Rogan if he thinks TikTok was created for the sole purpose of mining data, to which Rogan responded that he “100 percent” believes that to be the case. The podcaster said: “I think they saw that people are addicted to social media and they came up with the most addictive version of social media, which is TikTok. It’s the most addictive by far. It’s the best for sucking people in.” This analysis is in line with several lawmakers in the United States, with the FCC Commissioner recently calling for it to be banned on Apple and Android devices. This followed a Buzzfeed report which stated the app “collects vast troves of sensitive data about U.S. users,” which can be accessed by Chinese officials. TikTok has since responded to the criticism regarding its privacy policy, stating changes are in the pipeline.

Joe Rogan reveals best & worst effects of carnivore diet after one month – Dexerto
Joe Rogan reveals best & worst effects of carnivore diet after one month Joe Rogan / UnsplashPopular podcast personality and UFC commentator Joe Rogan explains some of the benefits he noticed after taking on the Carnivore diet, only eating meat during January 2020. Since starting the carnivore diet at the beginning of the year, Joe Rogan has been providing fans with some surprising updates on his new lifestyle change. In his recent JRE episode with fellow comedian Tom Papa, the popular podcast star revealed some of the major benefits that he noticed after finishing a month on the new diet. When the pair started to discuss some of the celebrities who are using their influence to inspire fans to become healthier, Joe Rogan revealed some of the benefits he noticed while only eating meat. He explained that after his first month was over he allowed himself a cheat day, however, he quickly picked up on some of the benefits after reverting back to his former diet for a short while. “What’s interesting was the pains, back pains and knee pains,” Rogan revealed, claiming that the carnivore diet had helped with the pains. “It’s inflammation, your body does not want to have to process all of that stuff.” “If you get all of that out of your system and your body doesn’t experience inflammation from your food,” he expressed, pointing out sugars and carbohydrates as some of the main causes. “When you have no carbohydrates one of the things that’s most amazing is there is no crashing, the UFC commentator later shared, “there’s no ups and downs or peaks and valleys, my energy levels were amazing.” Rogan also revealed that he had lost a significant amount of weight since starting the diet, “I was shedding a lot of weight, I think I was like 7lbs down two weeks in, now I’m 12 pounds down, I feel a lot better.” However, despite his incredible results, he has also claimed that the carnivore diet came with one unfortunate side effect when he initially started on January 1. The podcast host shared that the massive shift in diet had resulted in him having diarrhea during the early stages of the month, although he explained that it quickly went away within the first two weeks.

Joe Rogan reveals colorful lighting setup at new Texas podcast studio – Dexerto
Joe Rogan reveals colorful lighting setup at new Texas podcast studio Instagram: SoundShedStudios / Joe RoganPodcaster and Comedian Joe Rogan has revealed that the new podcast studio for the Joe Rogan Experience is almost complete, amid his relocation from Los Angeles to Texas. Since its beginning, the Joe Rogan Experience podcast has been based in California, a hub of influencer activity and celebrity culture, with access to many well-known guests. But in recent months, Joe has made it abundantly clear that the LA life is no longer for him. In episode #1523 of the podcast, he explained that “I don’t think this is a healthy way to live. I don’t think it’s good for your brain.” Expanding, he said that he didn’t agree with how normalized riot and looting culture had become in the golden state. “You see a f**king looting and a riot and a building on fire on TV, you don’t even flinch,” he said. “On a regular basis there’s crazy sh*t going on.” Earlier in August, Joe revealed that the construction for the new studio in the “more free” Texas was underway, and finally shared the first look at the new studio via an Instagram post. https://www.instagram.com/p/CDpEC_0lyCM/?utm_source=ig_embed Joe Rogan’s new podcast studio The mounted cameras, TV, and tables and chairs followed the familiar setup that fans are used to seeing, but the walls had an interesting geometric lattice pattern, and is in more of a curved shape. Joe seems to have slowed down on the release of his usually frequent podcasts, at the time of writing having not uploaded one in over a week. But with the release of a newer, more complete video of the studio construction, it seems that the Texas rebrand of the JRE show may arrive sooner than expected, saying “the new JRE studio is almost complete.” https://www.instagram.com/p/CEe5iVmAd0a/?igshid=eb5b1n6w4vdf This time, the curved space is filled with striking red lights, the tables and chairs now arranged into a more organized setup, with the TV on and ready to go. To the bottom of the image a functional control desk can be seen, and Joe even shows the nifty pop-up socket feature on the podcast table designed by Wrightsmith Studios. The studio overall was designed by Soundshed Studios, who shared an equally stunning image of the new studios without the table, showing off its futuristic red-toned design. https://www.instagram.com/p/CEfx3MxlRzo/ Now the studio seems very close to up-and-running, fans of the show can likely expect to see brand new content sometime soon.

Joe Rogan returns to UFC and the internet can’t help but roast his look – Dexerto
Joe Rogan returns to UFC and the internet can’t help but roast his look Twitter: Daniel CormierJoe Rogan made his return to UFC commentary at UFC 276 and donned some unusual attire that caught the eye of the internet – and it’s safe to say they’ve had their fun with it. When he’s not hosting the Joe Rogan Experience or traveling the United States with his one-man comedy set, Joe Rogan can usually be found behind the commentary desk at UFC events. While many of his co-commentators and fellow analysts are usually dressed to the nines for fights, Rogan is a bit more dressed down – and it is rare to see him kitted out in a three-piece suit while screaming about knockouts and submissions. UFC 276, which took place on July 2nd, marked Rogan’s return to commentary after a bit of a brief break. He matched his fellow analysts by wearing a suit for the occasion, and the internet couldn’t help but bust out some jokes about his look. With the broadcast getting underway, the commentary team introduced themselves in their regular manner – with Rogan standing front and center in a black suit. His tie was a bit messed up, however, and the internet quickly jumped all over it. As images of Rogan’s look worked their way around social media, plenty of onlookers lined up some zingers to poke fun at him. “Rogan dressed like a Reservoir Dog after the heist goes wrong,” said MMA journalist Jed Goodman. “This man is dressed like he’s just been to the funeral of a family member he doesn’t give a f**k about,” added another viewer. Some fans said that they simply didn’t recognize Rogan given he was wearing a suit. “What in the Multiverse is this?” asked another fan, confused by his look. Rogan wearing a tie? What is happening pic.twitter.com/L6mz7bCfAT — caposa (@Grabaka_Hitman) July 2, 2022 Other onlookers suggested that Rogan’s look may have had something to do with Lex Friedman – a regular guest on his podcast – given the similarities between them. “Man lost a bet to Lex Friedman,” commented one. Seeing as Rogan doesn’t read his social media replies – or hate comments – he’ll probably have to wait until someone else flags it for him. Though, it could make for an entertaining segment on his next podcast.

Joe Rogan reveals another surprising side-effect of his carnivore diet – Dexerto
Joe Rogan reveals another surprising side-effect of his carnivore diet joerogan (Instagram)Popular podcast host Joe Rogan has revealed another side-effect of his month-long carnivore stint, while chatting on the JRE MMA Show with former UFC Light Heavyweight champ, Rashad Evans. Rogan has dabbled with the carnivore diet since the start of 2020. By essentially stripping food consumption back to ‘animal foods’ such as meat, fish and eggs, there are numerous supposed health benefits that come as a by-product. Having documented the effects of his stint with carnivore eating, the 52-year-old appeared to be in great shape after just a month-long spell of the restrictive diet. Alongside the effects on his appearance, Rogan shared that effect on his day-to-day life: “I lost 12 pounds, gained a ton of energy… My energy levels were completely flat the whole month, no ups and downs from crashing after eating.” However, alongside all of the positive (and unfortunate) effects of the carnivore eating, Rogan has also admitted that it affected him mentally, in that it made him more aggressive. “This all-meat diet that I’ve been on, that changes your mind the other way – it makes you more aggressive,” Rogan admitted to Rashad, after the former UFC champ expressed how a vegan diet has changed him both physically and mentally. The American then went on to explain that he had “to workout extra to keep the demons at bay” — which is logical, considering that one of the side effects of the carnivore diet is that it is said to increase baseline testosterone levels significantly. Discussion starts at 5:30. Rogan then went on to explain how the carnivore diet slowly etches its way into your lifestyle habits. “Your body is going to take on the characteristics of something that’s a predator,” Rogan continued. “Your body is going to think I’m more aggressive – I have to chase sh*t down and kill it!” While the meat-only regime appeared to provide Joe with a mixed bag of results, he also revealed that the diet helped by reducing the inflammation experienced by your body as it processes certain foods. While the podcast host only took on the short-term stint in celebration of ‘World Carnivore Month,’ the numerous benefits may draw him back to the approach at a later date.

Joe Rogan responds to racism allegations as Spotify podcast controversy grows – Dexerto
Joe Rogan responds to racism allegations as Spotify podcast controversy grows YouTube/PowerfulJREPodcast host and comedian Joe Rogan has released a lengthy statement to explain his actions as controversy surrounding his Spotify podcast – the Joe Rogan Experience – continues to grow. The Joe Rogan Experience is one of the most listened to podcasts on the planet, averaging upwards of 10 million listeners per episode. However, since signing an exclusivity deal with Spotify back in May of 2020, the podcast in its entirety has only been available on that particular platform. It has also become embroiled in controversy as some musicians, including Neil Young, asked the platform to remove their music because of what they deemed “public misinformation” stemming from Rogan’s podcast. Now, though, Rogan has released a lengthy statement defending himself from allegations of racism after clips from past podcasts emerged. Posted to his Instagram account on February 5, Rogan describes it as the “most regretful and shameful thing that I’ve ever had to talk about publicly”. He explained that a compilation of him using a historically racist word has been published online, clips that he said have been “taken out of context” from “12 years of conversations” on the JRE podcast. Rogan said that he has not used the language in years but that, in the past, he believed as long as it was being used “in context, people would understand what I was doing”. After discussing why the word is so contested, he concluded: “It’s a very unusual word, but it’s not my word to use. I’m well aware of that now, but for years I used it in that manner. I never used it to be racist because I’m not racist.” View this post on Instagram Rogan then moved on to discuss a clip from 11 years ago, when he and some friends went to see a film in Philadelphia and Rogan made comments about the black neighbourhood they were in. “I did not, nor would I ever, say that black people are apes, but it sure f**king sounded like that,” he said. “It sounded terrible. You can have clunky stories about anything, but not about race… It was a f**king idiotic thing to say.” He finished the video by expressing his apologies for things he has said: “I do hope this can be a teachable moment for anybody who doesn’t realise how offensive that word can be… my sincere and humble apologies. I wish there was more that I could say, but all of this is me just talking from the bottom of my heart.”

Joe Rogan responds to possible Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson fight: “That is crazy” – Dexerto
Joe Rogan responds to possible Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson fight: “That is crazy” Spotify: Joe Rogan/Instagram: Jake PaulJoe Rogan says he doesn’t “know what would happen” if Mike Tyson and Jake Paul squared off, noting that Jake would be a better fight for the boxing legend than his brother Logan. As Jake and Logan Paul have made their mark on the boxing world, the brothers have got endorsements from a number of top fighters and legends, with the most notable being Mike Tyson. The former heavyweight king has repeatedly praised the Paul brothers for their impact on the sport, and even claimed that some fighters would actively duck a fight with Jake. He himself has been linked with fighting Jake a few times and has even put a price on his participation in the matchup. While talks have gone quiet on the possible bout, Joe Rogan believes ‘Iron’ Mike vs Jake could be an interesting fight. The JRE Podcast host was talking about Floyd Mayweather’s recent exhibition with Don Moore on episode 1825 of his show when his guest, Ali Siddiq, touched on Floyd’s previous fight with Logan and influencer boxing in general. “The best example is Tyson. 55-years-old and they’re still talking about him fighting either Logan or Jake Paul. Like, that is crazy,” Rogan said. “And, I don’t know what would happen (if the fight got made.)” The podcast giant stated that Jake would be the “better fight” given he’s been able to knock out some of his opponents. “The better one is Jake,” he added. “Jake is the one that knocks people out. Logan is more of a boxer. I can’t believe that would happen.” Timestamp of 2:43 While Jake is returning to the ring in August, no opponent has been announced just yet. Though, it’s unlikely to be Tyson, as Anderson Silva has been the most recent frontrunner. It remains to be seen who Jake will face and if, at some point, he’ll face Tyson. Though, it would incredibly interesting, as Rogan notes.

Joe Rogan responds to backlash over using horse medication: “Stay salty” – Dexerto
Joe Rogan responds to backlash over using horse medication: “Stay salty” YouTube: PowerfulJREPodcast host Joe Rogan has issued a response to the backlash surrounding his use of Ivermectin — a medication that can be used to treat heartworms in livestock and other animals. Joe Rogan is one of the most popular podcast hosts on the net, best known for the slew of unique and highly varied guests he invites onto his show, ‘The Joe Rogan Experience.’ In a video uploaded to Instagram on September 1, Rogan revealed that he had tested positive amid the current global health situation… but that fact alone wasn’t what sent the internet into a frenzy. Instead, it was Rogan’s claims that he was partly treating his medical condition with Ivermectin, a medication used to treat conditions caused by parasitic worms in both humans and animals. It’s important to note that different versions of the product exist for both people and pets, and are only safe for animals when used as prescribed, as told by the FDA. View this post on Instagram Joe Rogan sparks outrage on the internet over Ivermectin usage In his video, Rogan claimed he was using a “kitchen sink” worth of medication to help treat his health condition, Ivermectin among them. This sparked a wave of backlash against the host, with the likes of CNN claiming he’d “spread dangerous misinformation” regarding proper treatment for the issue, among a number of tweets roasting his medical decisions. A week after his initial announcement, Rogan returned to the studio to discuss the outrage surrounding his September 1 video, claiming that “multiple doctors” had recommended the drug to him. “What they didn’t highlight was that I got better!” Rogan argued of public perception toward his choices. “They’re trying to make it seem as if I’m doing some wacky s**t that’s completely ineffective, and CNN was saying that I’m ‘a distributor of misinformation.’” Joe Rogan responds to critics of his medical treatment Rogan went on to explain that he immediately medicated himself upon learning he was positive over the weekend, and claimed that he was feeling “pretty f**king good” once Monday rolled around, having also taken “high-dose” IV drips of Vitamin C alongside his Ivermectin dosage. “Because I wasn’t scared… what they would like, is when I did get sick, that I [would get] really sick and get really scared and learn my lesson,” he added. “I bounced back just about as quick as you can. They’re haters. …they’re weak b***es. Stay salty.” The host’s speedy recovery period and attitude toward his critics has become a hot topic of conversation online, prompting yet another conversation regarding his methods. The FDA has not approved Ivermectin to treat the illness brought on by the global health crisis, and has stated that taking the drug in large doses is “dangerous.”

Joe Rogan responds to claims that Spotify is censoring him – Dexerto
Joe Rogan responds to claims that Spotify is censoring him YouTube: Joe Rogan Experience / SpotifyPodcaster and comedian Joe Rogan has responded to theories that his podcast is being censored by Spotify, saying that he has not been contacted by the platform at all regarding the matter. At nearly 10 million YouTube subscribers, Joe Rogan stands as one of the most influential podcast creators on the platform, and has hosted a variety of huge guests including Elon Musk and Miley Cyrus. As a result of his immense success, Rogan announced in May 2020 that he also signed an exclusive deal with streaming service Spotify that will mean his podcasts will no longer be available in full on YouTube from the end of the year. Speaking on the topic, he said that the JRE podcast would “remain FREE, and it will be the exact same show. It’s just a licensing deal,” – also stressing that “Spotify won’t have any creative control over the show.” https://www.instagram.com/p/CAYSqQLFP_l/?utm_source=ig_embed However, when the Joe Rogan library went live on Spotify for the first time on September 1, eagle eyed viewers spotted that there were several episodes missing. Due to the controversial and often far-right personalities that appeared in the missing episodes, many suspected that Spotify was censoring the podcast, and was not under Joe’s control as previously assumed. However in episode 1544 of his podcast, he strongly disagreed with claims that Spotify was censoring him, saying “they have literally said nothing to me about it. Zero. It’s never come up.” “Now, is there someone at Spotify complaining about the Abigail Shrier episode? I’m sure.” He continued by saying “me on the outside reading these f**king articles, ‘oh my God, Spotify’s censoring Rogan, Spotify’s doing this!’ Spotify has said nothing.” Topic starts at 1:02:10 and 1:09:20 https://youtu.be/ikJq6wcgrXI?t=3730 “Listen to me. Nothing. They haven’t said anything to my manager, they haven’t said anything to me, they’ve said nothing.” Rogan mentioned that apparently Spotify has “had meetings”, but also stresses that “they have a lot of meetings. They have meetings about all sorts of shows.” He said Spotify is “a great company, they’re open minded, they treat their employees very well,” and again made sure his viewers know that “in terms of then silencing me, zero. There’s been nothing.” There’s certainly a big transition in place for the Joe Rogan Experience amid the shift over to Spotify, but it seems that this is one rumor that he wants to shut down as early as possible.

Joe Rogan reacts to “superhero” Elon Musk’s $44 billion Twitter purchase – Dexerto
Joe Rogan reacts to “superhero” Elon Musk’s $44 billion Twitter purchase YouTube: PowerfulJREComedian and podcast host Joe Rogan was left stunned by Elon Musk’s $44 billion purchase of Twitter, dubbing the Tesla CEO a “superhero.” He’s officially done it: Elon Musk has purchased Twitter in a viral $44 billion deal that’s still shaking the internet to its core. After becoming the social network’s biggest shareholder earlier this month, Musk declined to become part of the site’s board of directors before putting forward an offer to actually buy the company and take it private. This major shift has sparked a slew of different reactions online, with major influencers like Jake Paul supporting the move while MrBeast says the coming changes of Musk’s “new features” will be “interesting.” Elon Musk is set to acquire Twitter where he will entirely own the company pic.twitter.com/AJ9qt0DKZP — Dexerto (@Dexerto) April 25, 2022 Joe Rogan is the latest personality to speak out on Musk’s Twitter acquisition, comparing him to a “superhero” in the same vein as Marvel’s Tony Stark during a recent episode of ‘The Joe Rogan Experience.’ “Oh, s**t!” Rogan exclaimed upon hearing the news. “Elon Musk just bought Twitter! We got a movie star, cut type of a superhero. It’s like a movie. Like if you had a movie, and there’s a guy who’s like a hero in the movie who happened to be a billionaire and does wild s**t.” Rogan went on to cite Musk’s concerns about free speech on the app, as well as the site’s alleged “shadow banning” of certain accounts that “limits your ability to express yourself.” “This ability to shadow ban people has to be exposed,” he continued, before asking the Twitter-billionaire-playboy-philanthropist to buy TikTok, next. Rogan isn’t the only big personality asking Musk to buy another social platform; Twitch star Alinity also begged Musk to purchase the streaming site in a hilarious bid to reveal the real reason for Dr Disrespect’s mysterious ban.

Joe Rogan responds to backlash over “tacky” new studio – Dexerto
Joe Rogan responds to backlash over “tacky” new studio YouTube: Joe Rogan ExperiencePodcaster and comedian Joe Rogan has responded to the flood of hate in his comment section pertaining to his new Texas podcast studio, with many fans wanting it to go back to the old, more simple studio design. The Joe Rogan Experience podcast has garnered a huge following in its 11 year stint, each episode regularly receiving millions of views, with a cast of star studded guests including Miley Cyrus and Elon Musk. Recently he scrapped his original studio design with a simple brick wall and a curtain, and moved from “crazy” LA to Texas for a fresh start, away from the toxic looting culture Joe had begun to associate with LA. The new studio was unveiled in episode 1533, a new futuristic cylindrical shape with intricate wall panels and a custom made table with other decorations. Most notable, however, was the bold red walls and lighting that cast an interesting glow over the studio. While the preview pictures Joe shared were promising, many fans of the podcast were unhappy when episodes featuring the new setup began to air, revealing that the interesting red glow was actually quite distracting in practice. Comments related to the new studio are more than frequent when scrolling through the top comments of his recent videos. Some fans didn’t hold back, saying things like “this studio is growing on me, like a pesticide induced inflamed skin lesion,” and calling it “tacky.” Joe responded to the hate briefly at the start of episode 1540, saying “welcome to our polarizing studio, a lot of people don’t like it here, a lot of complaints, that’s what I’m hearing.” Topic starts at 0:17 https://youtu.be/Kv3dsPkTvhY?t=17 “Folks, relax, we had to bang this together in a month,” he continued. “If you think it sucks, that’s okay. I like it. It’s definitely weird, it’s just a big shock. Some people are bad with change.” If the criticism in his comment section continues, Joe may well be forced to make some changes to the lighting to prevent it from becoming too much of a distraction, but from the sounds of things he is perfectly happy with things as they are for the time being.

Joe Rogan questions Kanye’s “calling to be leader of the free world” – Dexerto
Joe Rogan questions Kanye’s “calling to be leader of the free world” Joe Rogan ExperienceKanye West sat down for one of the most anticipated interviews of the year on the Joe Rogan Experience podcast, where he explained why he’s got a “calling to be the leader of the free world.” Kanye West is most known for being a famous rapper and entrepreneur, but the musician is also a top-level fashion designer, architect, and, of course, a 2020 presidential candidate. While he first announced his political ambitions at the 2015 MTV Awards, West has now revealed that it actually started while he was in deep thought during a shower. “It hit me in the shower, and when I first thought of it I just started like, laughing to myself,” Kanye said. “Some people in the music industry, some tech elites, they just took it as a joke. I remember running into Oprah like two days after that and she’s like ‘you don’t want to be president.’” Timestamp at 3:59 for mobile viewers. According to the rapper, despite Oprah’s doubts, the outcome of the 2016 United States presidential election further encouraged him to pursue the highest office in the land as a political outsider. “I believe that my calling is to be the leader of the free world,” Kanye told Rogan, dead serious. “If it’s in God’s plan that part of my path is to be the governor [of California] first, then that’s fine, but my calling is to be the leader of the free world.” Rogan was definitely intrigued by what Ye referred to as his “calling,” but thoroughly questioned what the star would really change or be different than politicians before him. “So when you say this, when you say your calling is to be the leader of the free world, what does that mean to you?” the host replied. “What would be different about the way you would handle things if that’s your plan, why is that your calling? Like, what would you do as the leader of the free world?” “There couldn’t be a better time to put a visionary in the captain’s chair,” Kanye argued back, in one of his more memorable quotes from the show. “I manifest, I see things, I’m a great leader because I listen, and I’m empathetic, I feel the entire Earth, and I feel us as a species, as the human race.” The interview is a marathon at just under three hours long all stemming from this initial exchange, so if you want to hear the Yeezy founder talk all about his plans, ideas, and visions for the future, all along with what he would do as the leader of the free world, there is plenty here to go off of. After initially canceling the interview because a member of his staff fell ill, Rogan and West managed to reschedule and it’s a good thing they did because after watching this, it definitely feels like we’ve been granted a very rare look inside the mind of Kanye like never before.

Joe Rogan raises concerns on Mark Zuckerberg’s new “Metaverse” VR world – Dexerto
Joe Rogan raises concerns on Mark Zuckerberg’s new “Metaverse” VR world Joe Rogan YouTube / MetaJoe Rogan has raised concerns about Mark Zuckerberg’s upcoming Metaverse VR world, claiming the online space could be “overwhelmingly addictive” for users once they test the waters. Zuckerberg and Meta, his social media company that used to be called Facebook, are planning to create an entire virtual realm — with the buzzword “Metaverse” leading all conversation. The plans conjures images from fiction, that of a society which has jumped into VR full-time. Digital hangouts, the new workplace — even concerts and entertainment would all take place within the Metaverse. It’s this kind of reality that Rogan is wary of as Meta is going full-steam ahead with plans to invite billions of people to their online future. However, questions about the current issues the company is facing, as well as its potential to be “overwhelmingly addictive”, has Rogan concerned. Rogan claims Zuckerberg’s Metaverse is a “crazy idea” “People are going to realize that this is a crazy idea,” he said on his Joe Rogan Experience podcast on November 9. “You’re going to give your life to some sort of augmented or virtual reality world that’s created by a guy who’s involved in this company whose algorithms are sowing the seeds of distrust and hate. “But now we’re going to let him take over what you see and feel. Because you’re going to have this new company that’s virtual reality based.” The popular podcast host said people would be so invested in the Metaverse, should it succeed, that it’d become “overwhelmingly addictive”. “When you’re dealing with what’s possible now, I don’t think you’re going to be able to stop people from doing it because it’s going to be so overwhelmingly addictive,” he said. “Look at how many people are just addicted to looking at their Instagram. “The dopamine hit that you get from looking at a phone is minimal, but people are completely all-in on it.” These concerns will only be amplified as technology improves, Rogan claims. “If you could go into the future [and compare with what’s] available now with these insane video graphics, the Unreal engine, and move yourself in the future; yeah, it’s going to be indistinguishable.” Rogan also fears, should the Metaverse ever shut down, that people will lose everything. “The power grid is so vulnerable that if someone just detonated the power grid all this stuff stops and then you have no life,” he said. “You’ve invested your life in this augmented world, in this virtual world. “But this virtual world, all you have to do is pull the plug and it’s out. And it’s out for millions of people. “It’s the equivalent of dropping a nuclear bomb on a culture.”

Joe Rogan provides gruesome update after attempting new “carnivore” diet – Dexerto
Joe Rogan provides gruesome update after attempting new “carnivore” diet Popular podcast host Joe Rogan has provided an update for fans wondering how his new “carnivore” diet is going, and it’s rather informative to say the least. The “carnivore” or the “all meat” diet is a restrictive way of eating that only allows meat, fish, and certain other animal products like eggs and milk to be consumed, cutting out all fruits, vegetables, and grains. Joe Rogan is the latest celebrity to try the dietary regime, and shared an insight into how he was doing with it on his Instagram page – something that could be considered a little TMI. Rogan’s diet update On January 11, the podcast host uploaded a photo of one of his meals that consisted of three slices of bacon and four bits of liver, alongside a lengthy caption that revealed how the new way of eating was affecting his body. “Let’s start with the bad,” he began. “There’s really only one “bad” thing, and that thing is diarrhea. I’m not sure diarrhea is an accurate word for it, like I don’t think a shark is technically a fish.” He then launched into an epic statement about how graphic his bowel issues have become since starting carnivore. “With regular diarrhea I would compare it to a fire you see coming a block or two away and you have the time to make an escape, whereas this carnivore diet is like out of nowhere the fire is coming through the cracks, your doorknob is red hot, and all hope is lost,” he said. https://www.instagram.com/p/B7LPdnHlto7/?igshid=ojv4qjk3b738 “I haven’t s**t my pants yet, but I’ve come to accept that if I keep going with this diet it’s just a matter of time before we lose a battle, and I fill my undies like a rainforest mudslide overtaking a mountain road,” the 52-year-old continued. “It seems to be getting a little better every day, but as of today I trust my butthole about as much as I trust a shifty neighbor with a heavy Russian accent that asks a lot of personal questions.” As for the good, the stand-up comedian stated that his energy levels were higher and that he feels healthier as a result. “One thing I’m fairly sure of is that my energy levels are higher and steadier throughout the day. This seems undeniable,” he wrote. “I’ve also felt really “healthy” (other than the sporadic bouts of hellacious projectile doodoo).” He then revealed that since starting the diet around two weeks ago, he’s actually lost weight already: “Since I started the diet a couple days before January I’m now about 13 days in, at least 7 pounds lighter, and in completely uncharted territory for me.” Rogan is said to be on his new all-meat diet for only 31 days as it’s in celebration of January’s ‘World Carnivore Month’ – but who knows, maybe he’ll like the results so much that he’ll stick to it for longer. According to Healthline, the extreme meat-only regime is said to help with weight loss, muscle building, and blood sugar regulation, amongst other reasons.

Joe Rogan praises Jake Paul as “the man” for boxing fight promotions – Dexerto
Joe Rogan praises Jake Paul as “the man” for boxing fight promotions Spotify: Joe Rogan/Instagram: Jake PaulJoe Rogan gave a shoutout to Jake Paul on his recent episode of the JRE MMA show, calling the YouTuber-turned-boxer “the man.” Since getting involved with the fight game, Jake Paul has gotten plenty of flowers from different experts, fighters, and sometimes, even fans. Mike Tyson has strongly backed ‘The Problem Child’ as they’ve routinely joked about fighting each other. Joe Rogan has, also, been on Jake and his brother Logan’s side, despite being a bit of a skeptic at first. The UFC commentator has routinely praised Jake’s skills and defended him from some claims that his fights are rigged, saying the YouTuber does have serious power in the face of “dumb” critics. Seeing as Logan is getting ready to fight Dillon Danis, their names came up on episode 147 of his JRE MMA show with UFC Bantamweight champion Sean O’Malley, with Rogan calling Danis a “great troll” at times. However, he also found time to give a shoutout to Jake. Joe Rogan shouts out Jake Paul as “the man” Rogan and O’Malley spoke about fighters lacking self-promotion these days and handing their brand off to other people. That, Joe pointed out, prompts some fighters to not hit the potential they have to make money – something Jake doesn’t lack. “Jake Paul is the f**king man. Like, what he’s done is pretty amazing,” Rogan said just prior to touching on Logan’s upcoming fight with Dillon. He came back around to Jake a few moments later, noting that his fight with Ben Askren was worth more to the former MMA star than he made his whole UFC career. Timestamp of 0:50 It’s not just his own fights that Jake promotes these days, his Most Valuable Promotions brand has a growing stable of fighters, with the biggest being Amanda Serrano. He has noted that it is something he’ll continue with once his in-ring career is done too, so he clearly isn’t going anywhere.

Joe Rogan praises Jake Paul despite Tommy Fury loss: “He’s 100% legit” – Dexerto
Joe Rogan praises Jake Paul despite Tommy Fury loss: “He’s 100% legit” YouTube: Joe Rogan/BT SportJoe Rogan has tipped his cap to Jake Paul despite losing to Tommy Fury, praising the YouTuber-turned-boxer as “legit” and saying it proved him right after all this time. After years of waiting, Jake Paul and Tommy Fury finally settled their score inside the boxing ring on February 26, as they squared off in a fight billed as ‘The Truth’ in Saudi Arabia. In the end, Tommy’s boxing background showed out, as the Brit defeated Jake by a split decision. Though, Jake did score the only knockdown of the fight and wants a rematch due to complications he apparently suffered in his pre-fight training camp. Despite the loss, the YouTuber-turned-boxer’s performance has been praised by a few analysts, including Joe Rogan who believes that, despite the loss, his longstanding stance on Jake has been proven. Joe Rogan backs Jake Paul’s boxing ability despite Tommy Fury defeat The fight came up as a quick topic during episode 1947 of the Joe Rogan Experience, as he chatted with comedian Chris Distefano. Rogan was asked if he watched the fight, to which he answered yes, and quickly backed Jake. “I thought it was a very good fight. It confirmed two things that I’ve been saying for a long time,” he said. “One, Jake Paul is 100% legit. People that think he’s not legit, he’s conning you. He’s conning you with his antics, he’s conning you with his online persona and the sh*t-talking and the marketing. “But if you didn’t have any of that, and me as an analyst, that’s one of my jobs. I’m not a boxing analyst but I understand it. When I watch him move around, it’s 100% legit.” Rogan got sidetracked before he could take a victory lap on his second point, but it is another example of him showing backing to Jake when others don’t. He still doubts that the content creator should fight Mike Tyson, but that’s probably off the table now he’s lost to Tommy.

Joe Rogan praises GameStop stock madness for exposing Wall Street “manipulation” – Dexerto
Joe Rogan praises GameStop stock madness for exposing Wall Street “manipulation” Spotify/Joe RoganJoe Rogan finally shared his thoughts on the crazy Gamestop stock market situation and how it’s doing a good job at exposing “corruption” with hedge funds and Wall Street. During episode 1603 of the Joe Rogan Experience, the UFC commentator delved into the ongoing events. According to Joe, Reddit and everyone else involved with buying up Gamestop shares are deserving of praise. (Segment starts at 11:51) “It started out with these intelligent vipers on Reddit,” he began, already approving of those who decided to make their mark early on the Gamestop stock. “Here’s the thing. These hedge fund guys have been manipulating the stock market in a very similar way forever. But these guys on Reddit decided to get together collectively.” “WallStreetBets decided these hedge funds were shorting Gamestop. So they decided ‘we’re going to buy. We’re going to fuck their whole system up,” Joe continued. As Dexerto has explained, ‘shorting’ a stock means betting on them going down. A short-seller will borrow shares from one party, and sell to another. When the price falls, they buy back those shares — at a cheaper price — and return them to the original owner. “Gamestop stock rose higher than it’s ever risen in the entire history of the company!” Rogan added. According to Joe, this whole situation is exposing the real market manipulation because they’re trying to do something now that these Wall Street guys are, as Rogan puts it “being fucked over.” “Hedge funds have lost billions of dollars because of this,” he noted before pulling up a CNBC clip where they invited the CEO of NASDAQ to call for more regulation. “They never call for regulation. Assholes like him, the last thing that guy wants, in terms of being able to manipulate the market and make as much money as possible, it’s fucking regulation,” Joe exclaimed. “So his calling for regulation is kind of hilarious.” Joe further called out the CNBC host for claiming folks were manipulating the market with social media saying it’s literally what they already do and scoffed at the fact Democrat Elizabeth Warren called for regulation. Eventually, Rogan and his guest comedian Brendan Schaub turned their conversation elsewhere, but for anyone involved in the Gamestop stock madness, it’s good to know that Joe has your back.

Joe Rogan praises Jake & Logan Paul as “legitimate tough guys” – Dexerto
Joe Rogan praises Jake & Logan Paul as “legitimate tough guys” Podcaster Joe Rogan has shared his thoughts on social media stars Jake and Logan Paul and their boxing skills, explaining that he sees the pair as “legitimate tough guys” contrary to some critics. In the past few years, influencer boxing has risen in popularity, seeing stars like Joe Weller, Logan Paul, and KSI fighting it out for an audience of millions of live viewers, pulling in a huge amount of revenue. The media attention the fights received promptly began to draw in huge name in pro-boxing, and recently Logan Paul was announced to be fighting Floyd Mayweather in February. Additionally, following Jake’s win against Nate Robinson in November, he has now revealed that he’s “dedicating his life” to defeating Conor McGregor. The seemingly rather unlikely pairings have got people weighing in on whether the Paul brothers are really as capable as they make themselves out to be, or if these fights are all just for show. Never one to shy away from hot topics, Joe Rogan had something to say about the two social media stars and their boxing ambitions in episode 1580 with Andrew Schulz, defending them against criticism. Read More: Logan Paul reveals Floyd Mayweather FaceTime – Speaking on youngest brother Jake, Rogan said “dude, he’s good. So is his brother. We played a video of his brother wrestling Paulo Costa, his brother is f***ing legit. He’s a legit athlete,” referring to eldest brother Logan. Topic starts at 28:54 He also spoke about the preconception of the brothers that they’re just YouTube pranksters at heart, explaining that he thinks they have genuine strength as fighters. “You’ve gotta give credit where credit is due. I know those guys like to troll. But Jake and his brother are legitimate tough guys.” The comments come amid a huge wave of doubt from critics over whether Logan Paul has bitten off more than he can chew with his upcoming fight against Mayweather in February, but it certainly seems like Rogan believes the Paul brothers are stronger than many give them credit for.

Joe Rogan podcast knocked off Spotify number 1 by Karl Jacobs & Sapnap – Dexerto
Joe Rogan podcast knocked off Spotify number 1 by Karl Jacobs & Sapnap Spotify/Karl JacobsJoe Rogan’s dominance on the Spotify podcast charts has been ended – perhaps, only briefly – by the debut episode of Banter with Sapnap and Karl Jacobs as the pair were joined by MrBeast for a chat. The Joe Rogan Experience has been dominating podcast charts ever since it started back in 2009, as the UFC commentator and his guests get into everything from current events to conspiracy theory. Rogan’s show has grown so much over the years that Spotify was willing to shell out 100 million to bring it to their streaming service on an exclusive basis, and to this point, they’ve gotten a pretty sweet deal. While Rogan’s guests aren’t benefitting as much from appearing on the show behind the Spotify exclusivity, the 54-year-old has quickly dominated the Spotify charts, accounting for 5% of total podcast listens in its first month. While that dominance has sustained for a year, and it’s brought in new subscribers, he’s got a new challenger. Minecraft content creator Sapnap and Karl Jacobs launched their new show – Banter – on September 25, with MrBeast appearing as their first guest to talk about everything YouTube and his backstory. That first episode has attracted such attention that it knocked Rogan out of his usual top spot on the Podcast charts in both the United States and the United Kingdom. Though, he’s only fallen down to second place, it’s not the end of the world and his show certainly isn’t in any danger of being canceled or put on hiatus as he tries to wrestle back top spot. As Rogan continues to drop regular episodes, he’ll likely reclaim top spot before long, but seeing as the YouTubers dethroned him with some ease, it could go back-and-forth for the time being. The YouTube duo are dropping new shows each Saturday, but it remains to be seen if they’ll have the longevity of other shows.

Joe Rogan praises Dillon Danis for being a “great troll” amid Logan Paul feud – Dexerto
Joe Rogan praises Dillon Danis for being a “great troll” amid Logan Paul feud YouTube: PowerfulJRE, IMPAULSIVE, Misfits BoxingJoe Rogan praised Dillon Danis for being a “great troll” amid his ongoing feud with upcoming boxing opponent Logan Paul and his fiance, Nina Agdal. Dillon Danis is set to touch gloves with Logan Paul on October 14. In an apparent attempt to promote the fight, Danis has been antagonizing Paul on social media for weeks by taking shots at his fiance, Danish model Nina Agdal. Shortly after the couple announced their engagement, Danis began to post photos of Agdal with other famous men to Twitter/X, insinuating that she’d slept with them and taking shots at the model’s supposed “body count.” The issue got so heated that Agdal eventually filed a lawsuit against Danis for posting explicit images and videos of her without permission, some of which she claims were stolen in a “hack” from her social media accounts. She was also granted a restraining order against the fighter — something he didn’t show up to court for. While many fans think Danis has gone too far in his attempt to rile up Logan, many more are on his side, praising his skills at getting under Paul’s skin… a sentiment that podcast host Joe Rogan agreed with. Joe Rogan says Dillon Danis is a “great troll” as Logan Paul feud continues During a recent episode of the Joe Rogan Experience with special guest Sean O’Malley, Rogan discussed the upcoming Danis vs Paul fight and admitted that Dillon is a “great troll” for promoting the bout in such a way. “He’s a great troll,” Rogan said. “For a guy who… the last time he fought was in Bellator, like when? How long ago was that?” “Probably four or five years ago,” O’Malley guessed. (Topic begins at 1:25) Rogan went on to discuss Danis’ boxing skills, saying that although he’s an “elite grappler,” his boxing skills leave room for improvement. He also compared the bout to Jake Paul vs Ben Askren, where Paul came out on top in spite of Askren’s status as a former Olympic wrestler. “It’s not like Dillon is an absolutely terrible striker,” Rogan continued. “But he’s not a striker. He’s an elite grappler. His grappling is f*cking amazing. I mean, he’s really f*cking good. On the ground, he’s sensational. That kid has some serious jiu-jitsu. But he’s not known for being a boxer.” “It’s like the Ben Askren situation, you know? Jake Paul offers you more money probably than he made in his entire UFC career for a boxing match after you’ve had a hip replacement. And you’re like, ‘F*ck it, I’m in.’” The October 14 PRIME card has certainly garnered a ton of attention as the date draws closer and closer. With fans worried that Danis might pull out of the bout at the last minute, there’s no telling what will happen… but until then, keep it locked to Dexerto for more influencer-boxing news and drama.

Joe Rogan podcast loses Spotify top spot ahead of Mark Zuckerberg episode release – Dexerto
Joe Rogan podcast loses Spotify top spot ahead of Mark Zuckerberg episode release Spotify: Joe RoganJoe Rogan has, again, been knocked off the top of Spotify’s podcast charts, falling behind Meghan Markle’s new show ‘Archetypes’. Over the last few years, Joe Rogan and the Joe Rogan Experience Podcast has been firmly planted at the top of most podcast charts. That momentum hasn’t really stopped despite Spotify making the show exclusive to their platform either, and even though the music streaming has been found to not recommend Rogan to non-listeners, he still regularly finds himself atop the charts. Well, that is until now, as a new challenger has entered the arena in the form of Meghan Markle’s Archetypes podcast, which is yet another addition to Spotify’s arm of original shows and content. Joe Rogan knocked off Spotify podcast top spot by Meghan Markle Following the arrival of Markle’s first episode, which features tennis legend Serena Williams as the guest and released just a few days before Rogan’s long-awaited episode with Facebook creator Mark Zuckerberg, the Archetypes show has shot to the top of the charts. According to Deadline, there are six markets where Rogan has fallen off the top spot, including the United States, United Kingdom, Ireland, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. In the US, Rogan has only fallen one spot to second place, but in the UK he finds himself lagging behind both Archetypes and the Diary of a CEO podcast. It’s not the first time that Rogan’s show has fallen off top spot, especially when a new Spotify original show is launched. It’s happened previously with the Always Sunny in Philadelphia podcast and Batman mystery releases. As soon as Rogan drops a new episode, it’s very likely that he’ll reclaim the top spot and things will look as normal as ever. So, don’t expect to see Spotify canceling his mega contract anytime soon.

Joe Rogan podcast isn’t being recommended to new Spotify listeners – Dexerto
Joe Rogan podcast isn’t being recommended to new Spotify listeners Spotify/Joe RoganA new study has found that Spotify doesn’t appear to be recommending Joe Rogan Experience podcast episodes to new listeners, even though it is pushing other original podcasts. Back in September of 2020, Joe Rogan announced that after a decade of his podcast being available on all platforms, Spotify had given him the bag and was making it exclusive to their platform. It’s been a bit of a rocky road since the start of the partnership, with fans wanting things to go back to the way they were with YouTube highlights, and Spotify coming under fire for platforming some of Rogan’s controversial views. The stats have proven that the partnership has been a win-win for both sides, with Spotify getting a big influx of new users, while Rogan retains his spot as having the biggest podcast around. However, something appears to be off. Spotify isn’t pushing JRE Podcasts to new ears While Rogan is regularly sitting in the most listened spot on Spotify’s podcast charts, the platform doesn’t appear to be recommending his episodes to users. According to data from over 90,000 episodes of podcasts analyzed by Dan Misener of Bumper, Spotify is recommending around 14% of shows under their podcast network – 8% of those being exclusives, and the other 6% being either original or adaptions. As per the findings, episodes of the Joe Rogan Experience are not a part of this. However, episodes of other podcasts where Rogan features a guest are being recommended to users. It’s not quite clear why this is the case, as Misener suggests that the show may be big enough that it doesn’t require the help of recommendations to those that aren’t listening regularly. Of course, if you’re an avid listener of Rogan, you’re going to see his show pop up on your feed. But why it’s not being shown to others, with the money that Spotify has plowed into it, will certainly raise a few eyebrows.

Joe Rogan claims people downplay Jake Paul’s boxing skills because he’s a celebrity – Dexerto
Joe Rogan claims people downplay Jake Paul’s boxing skills because he’s a celebrity IG: Jake Paul / YT: Joe RoganJoe Rogan praised Jake Paul’s boxing skills and claimed people would take him more seriously if he were a legitimate up-and-coming boxer rather than a YouTuber turned boxer. Jake Paul has been a polarizing figure since he transitioned into boxing. People have accused him of avoiding fights against difficult opponents in favor of pursuing easier ones. They’ve even claimed he’s rigging fights. There’s no denying that what he’s achieved so far is impressive. Not only is his record 5-0, but he’s also knocked out two UFC stars in Ben Askren and Tyron Woodley along the way. Still, that hasn’t stopped people from downplaying his achievements. For that reason, Joe Rogan claimed that if he were a legitimate up-and-coming boxer without prior fame, people would take his achievements more seriously. First, Rogan claimed the challenge Jake laid down to boxing promoter Eddie Hearn — the one where he claimed he’d knock out any fighter under his management who has less than ten fights — absolutely rattled Hearn. “What if Jake Paul knocks one of them out?” he said. “What if you get a guy that hasn’t been tested and maybe has some promise and maybe gets wrapped up in the hype and maybe gets a little nervous. This is his first chance at a big show.” Then, he praised Jake’s knockout power, referring to his iconic knockout against Tyron Woodley in their rematch. “Jake Paul can crack. One hundred percent. That knockout against Tyron Woodley is legit as f**k.” In response to people saying that wasn’t a real test, Rogan asked them to “entertain the perspective” of a hypothetical situation where Jake Paul was a legitimate up-and-coming boxer rather than a YouTuber turned boxer. “If Jake Paul wasn’t Jake Paul, if he wasn’t this YouTube guy, he was just a boxer — you see a boxer knock out the former UFC Welterweight Champion. Not just the former, but one of the best ever. You’d be like, ‘Have you seen this Jake Paul dude coming up? He’s for real!’” The relevant part of the video starts at 1:13. Rogan rounded off the conversation by praising Paul’s boxing skills once again. “The feints, the foot movement, the way he lands shots. He fights like a boxer. He doesn’t fight like a guy trying to box in a celebrity boxing match.” Paul hasn’t stepped in the ring since December 2021. However, he announced his return on May 2 and revealed that his next fight is locked in on August 13, although the opponent hasn’t been confirmed yet.

Joe Rogan podcast becoming Spotify exclusive: everything you need to know – Dexerto
Joe Rogan podcast becoming Spotify exclusive: everything you need to know YouTube/PowerfulJREJoe Rogan shocked the internet by revealing that his extremely-popular podcast will be moving exclusively to Spotify at the end of the year as part of a multi-year deal. As Rogan explained in an Instagram video, starting September 1, the podcast will be available on Spotify alongside other platforms – but by the end of 2020, it will only be available on that platform, exclusively. “Starting on September 1, the entire JRE library will be available on Spotify,” Rogan revealed in a May 19 Tweet. Announcement: the podcast is moving to spotify! Starting on September 1 the podcast will be available on Spotify as well as all platforms, and then at the end of the year it will move exclusively to Spotify,… https://t.co/7IRHET5eZo— Joe Rogan (@joerogan) May 19, 2020 Somewhere around the end of the year, however, Spotify will be the only home for the JRE podcast, including the video version. Will the show be different? “It will be the exact same show,” Rogan added. “I am not going to be an employee of Spotify. We’re going to be working with the crew, doing the same exact show. The only difference will be it will now be available on the largest audio platform in the world.” https://www.instagram.com/p/CAYSqQLFP_l/?igshid=145vpohh7ddan He went on to stress that nothing will change and the show will remain free. He further detailed the move in the announcement post that Spotify will not “have any creative control over the show.” What will happen to YouTube clips? For those who only watch snippets on YouTube, there’s good news for you, too. “We will still have clips up on YouTube,” Rogan added. It’s unclear how long the deal will last for, or how much it’s worth, but seeing as the Joe Rogan Experience is one of the most popular podcasts in the world, it likely cost the platform a huge chunk of change. Hopefully, the change of platforms will also allow for more guests and topics that may not have been suitable for YouTube. Joe Rogan’s YouTube channel currently boasts a whopping 8.4 million subscribers with videos that consistently draw views in the millions.

Joe Rogan opens new comedy club ‘Mothership’ labeled “anti-cancel culture” – Dexerto
Joe Rogan opens new comedy club ‘Mothership’ labeled “anti-cancel culture” Spotify/Comedy MothershipJoe Rogan has officially opened his new “anti-cancel culture” comedy club in Austin, Texas, where comedians and fans can share their dark humor without fear of being canceled by the masses. Comedy Mothership has officially launched, with the first show on March 7 selling out in minutes, featuring a lineup of “canceled” comedians such as Roseanne Barr, Tim Dillon, David Lucas, and more taking to the club, where no joke can cross the line. This has been a long time in the making for Rogan, who has made clear his desire to do this for a while, before finally biting the bullet and getting things underway, with the club itself being in development for around two and a half years. As hinted at by the name, Comedy Mothership is alien-themed — perhaps a nod to the alienation of “canceled” comedians and even those who enjoy their work. “I’m drunk and on mushrooms in my new club!” said Rogan on opening night. “This is as high as I’ve ever been onstage. I need to connect with this moment … You can’t fire me from my own club, b**ch!” The venue itself is divided into two stages, a headline room called Fat Man and a smaller stage named Little Boy, with Rogan saying that he hired “the best people” from Los Angeles’ Comedy Store to run Comedy Mothership. In a Q&A section of the show at the end, Rogan explained that he was “super nervous” for the launch of Comedy Mothership and that it “still didn’t feel real.” Tickets for Comedy Mothership shows are a modest $40, but have been selling for up to $500 online for those looking to get in.

Joe Rogan podcast parody has the internet completely obsessed – Dexerto
Joe Rogan podcast parody has the internet completely obsessed YouTube: Office Hours/JREA group of comedians have parodied the Joe Rogan Experience with a 12-hour long podcast of their own, and social media users simply can’t get enough of it. Joe Rogan launched his Joe Rogan Experience podcast all the way back in 2009, and over the last few years, it’s become an absolute behemoth. The show, which covers a wide range of topics with different guests, has been snapped up by Spotify and has brought millions of users to the streaming service. As popular as it is with fans of the UFC commentator, there are plenty of critics as well, with many disagreeing with his different viewpoints. The podcast episodes have also become source material for comedians too. Most recently, Rogan’s dietary habits were mocked by Saturday Night Live, but now, a group of comedians have also taken aim at him, and their parody has garnered quite a bit of love across social media. The parody of Rogan’s show comes from Tim Heidecker and the Office Hours podcast, as he had Rajat Suresh and Jeremy Levick play the part of guests. Across the half-day-long episode, which is actually just a loop of the same hour-long conversations, the trio covers a wide range of topics and perfectly capture’s Rogan’s interactions with his guests including how they take turns rambling on for minutes on end. They even have a backdrop that is akin to the JRE’s Texas studio, but they have a Fudruckers sign in place of the big neon podcast that Rogan’s show has. Shortly after the trio’s spoof was uploaded to YouTube on November 25, it quickly started doing the rounds on social media. Many called the comedians “genius” for their performance and complimented them for perfectly representing how many feel about Rogan’s show. Joe Rogan and MrBeast accuse TikTok of spying on them – Dexerto
Joe Rogan and MrBeast accuse TikTok of spying on them MrBeast: YOutube Joe Rogan: YoutubeJoe Rogan and Jimmy ‘MrBeast’ Donaldson have gone off on TikTok in a recent episode of the Joe Rogan Experience (JRE). Calling the app “invasive, addicting, sketchy” and accusing the app of spying on users throughout their daily lives. MrBeast is a giant in the YouTube community. The prolific 23-year-old content wizard has conquered the platform, sitting with a comfortable 91.5 million subscribers and billions of views across his network of videos and programs. He’s easily one of the largest YouTube channels around, so he knows his fair share about social media success. During the March 7 episode of the Spotify-hosted JRE, Joe Rogan and MrBeast get stuck into discussions on just that. Breaking down his immense popularity and whether success on YouTube leads into success on other platforms. During this discussion, MrBeast went on to say that his focus is pretty defined: “90% of my work goes into YouTube, 1-2% is TikTok,” he explained. Joe Rogan responded saying he doesn’t have a deliberate presence on TikTok, but that it’s something he may look at doing. “I guess at a certain point in time I should step in and do something on Tik Tok. But TikTok is such a sketchy f***ing application.” Letting loose on the topic, Rogan and Jimmy went back and forth on stories of how they felt about the app’s alleged open door into the backend of your phone. Rogan asked “You ever seen the breakdown these software engineers have done on TikTok? Of how intrusive it is?” Clarifying this statement, he said that engineers declared it to be “the single most disturbing piece of software they’ve ever had to engineer, the amount of cross-platform spying it does.” (Topic begins at 42:16) Adding anecdotal evidence of his experience on TikTok, MrBeast said that he’s noticed the app listening to his conversations throughout the day. “I have had instances where I would say certain things in conversations and then later that night I would get in my feed something similar,” he explained. “Like if I talk about dogs a lot and then weirdly start getting TikToks about dogs. I have noticed that kind of stuff. “ MrBeast went on to state that as he travels, TikTok will always know where he is “If you travel to a different state, like even now in Texas, like my TikTok feed will be a lot more Texas content, it’s definitely location-based.” Closing out his thoughts on the app, Jimmy did say that he had recently deleted the app from his phone, but not for security purposes. “TikTok can be pretty addicting, I actually recently uninstalled it just cause… Even though my TikTok is mostly like gym and, actually, finance stuff. I found I was spending two hours a day on TikTok, that’s when I uninstalled it.”

Joe Rogan offered $100m to leave Spotify for ‘free speech’ platform Rumble – Dexerto
Joe Rogan offered $100m to leave Spotify for ‘free speech’ platform Rumble YouTube/JREA new video platform is offering Joe Rogan a lot of money to leave Spotify amid calls to “cancel” the podcast host following racism allegations. The Joe Rogan Experience podcast is one of the most popular in the world, but it’s come under fire in recent months with many accusing its host and guests of spreading misinformation and even making racist comments. The drama has resulted in more than 70 episodes being pulled from the platform and Rogan himself taking responsibility for his comments, but that hasn’t stopped the backlash and calls for the platform to dump JRE. Now, as Spotify’s CEO Daniel Ek defended the host, rival platform Rumble has stepped in to try to offer Rogan a deal he can’t refuse. Hey @joerogan, we are ready to fight alongside you. See the note from our CEO @chrispavlovski… pic.twitter.com/G7ahfNNjtP — Rumble 🏴☠️ (@rumblevideo) February 7, 2022 Rumble makes Joe Rogan offer to leave Spotify On February 7, Rumble, a platform that its CEO described as “a movement that does not stifle, censor, or punish creativity and freedom of expression,” offered Rogan $100m to change sites. In a press release, Chris Pavlovski said his site stands with Joe and his guests and would like to see both old and new episodes of the JRE on Rumble with no censorship. The four-year deal for $100m would equal what Spotify originally paid back in 2020, but it’s unclear if Joe could even abandon one platform for the other without breaking his contract. Joe has yet to respond to the counter-offer, at least publicly, but it will be interesting to see how things develop with a platform devoted to free speech wanting to secure the rights to the podcast.

Joe Rogan mortified over Bill Burr’s run-in with creepy yoga instructor YouTube: JRE ClipsDuring the June 12 episode of the Joe Rogan Experience podcast, comedian Bill Burr left the UFC commentator in tears of laughter and disgust over his story about a yoga instructor who took things too far. Joe Rogan continues to be a dominant force in podcasting, pulling in millions of listeners with his hour-long program. The commentator interviews some of the most interesting people in the world, from Robert Downey Jr, to Tesla CEO Elon Musk. However during his latest episode, the UFC host became disgusted when guest Bill Burr recalled his run-in with a creepy yoga instructor. The two comedians hilariously traded war stories about bad experiences they’ve had with exercise classes. Bill Burr’s bizarre yoga teacher During the episode of the JRE Podcast, Rogan and Burr got onto the topic of yoga classes, and their experiences with instructors. The host revealed his biggest pet peeve. “What annoys the f**k out of me is when they start giving you motivational advice, and tell you how to live your life,” he said. Burr then revealed he once had an instructor who had a bizarre way of teaching his class.”He would somehow steer it towards a subtle comment about love making. He was putting out a vibe that he was like good in bed. At the same time!” he exclaimed. Rogan let out a groan of disgust and said, “Ugh! That’s a yoga guy move. Ugh. Christ!” Breaking into laughter, Burr followed up, and exclaimed, “He had the little ponytail. It was like a Will Ferrell character.” He then stated that the instructor would go out of his way to avoid correcting his yoga stances. “What was hilarious, I was bad at yoga. I just remember when he would walk around the class, he would adjust people, he would always skip me.” (Topic starts at 2:22.) However, it didn’t end there. Rogan also shared his experience about a teacher who would like to sing. “This was the late 90s, and he would sing in class. It was so cheap. It was so disingenuous. He would do these yoga songs. I was like, you are so gross.” After the podcast host revealed his own horror story, Burr felt relieved and said “I’m glad I’m not the only one!” Laughing the UFC caster replied, “No. Yoga guys are famous for that!” before they both agreed that they also have had great experiences as well. Weird yoga classes aside, Rogan continues to crush it with over 8.6 million subscribers to his YouTube channel alone. In May, he announced he had signed a major to deal with Spotify to bring his program exclusively to the platform by the end of 2020.

Joe Rogan mourns Bob Saget after comedian’s shocking passing – Dexerto
Joe Rogan mourns Bob Saget after comedian’s shocking passing Instagram/JoeroganPodcast host and UFC commentator Joe Rogan published a touching tribute to comedy legend Bob Saget following his tragic passing. Bob Saget was one of the world’s most popular comedy figures and grew to mainstream stardom playing the character Danny Tanner in Full House. On January 9 it was reported that he had mysteriously passed away in a hotel room at the Ritz-Carlton in Orlando. Thus far, the cause of death is unclear, but The Orange County Sheriff’s Office has ruled out foul play or drugs as the cause. Now, many on the internet, including Joe Rogan, have paid their respects to the comedy legend revealing how much he meant to them. View this post on Instagram Joe Rogan responds to Bob Saget’s heartbreaking passing Taking to Instagram following news of Saget’s death, Rogan posted a photo of the two together and stressed how sad he was at the unfortunate events. “Bob Saget was a good man and a very funny person,” Rogan said. “ I’m going to miss him very much. RIP.” Saget and the UFC commentator had a good relationship with the comedian appearing on the Joe Rogan Experience back in 2020. Fans of Saget have flocked to the JRE episode, #1507, to pay their respects. “Came here after he passed away RIP he looks pretty healthy for 64,” one user wrote. “RIP Bob. You will be missed dearly,” another remarked. It’s not clear if Rogan or his team have anything else planned to honor the late comedian, but hopefully, Joe can touch more on what he thought of Saget on his podcast later this year.

Joe Rogan mocks Jake Paul for Dillon Danis prank and predicts fight – Dexerto
Joe Rogan mocks Jake Paul for Dillon Danis prank and predicts fight YouTube: PowerfulJRE / Twitter: jakepaulPodcaster Joe Rogan has reacted to a video of Jake Paul pranking pro fighter Dillon Danis with water balloons, mocking him for speeding off instead of fighting, and weighing in on the YouTuber’s chances against Danis. Following the announcement that Logan Paul will be fighting Floyd Mayweather this coming February, conversation has amped up surrounding influencer boxing, particularly over the Paul brothers’ strengths and weaknesses as boxers. Jake Paul recently beat Nate Robinson, knocking him out in just two rounds, though Robinson’s performance has been widely criticized, and people are hesitant to see it as a true reflection of Jake’s capabilities. Joe Rogan was one to defend the brothers against criticism of their abilities in episode 1580 with Andrew Schulz, saying “You’ve gotta give credit where credit is due. I know those guys like to troll. But Jake and his brother are legitimate tough guys.” However, it wasn’t all praise for Jake, as in the same episode Joe went on to roast the social media star for his response after pranking Danis with water balloons. You saw @jakepaul’s angle. Now, watch ours.@dillondanis @BrendanSchaub #FoodTruckDiaries 🥪🚚 pic.twitter.com/ZNOaWMBP93 — Below the Belt with Brendan Schaub (@btbshowtime) December 17, 2020 They pulled up the clip on screen, showing Jake driving by Danis in the middle of an interview. He shouts “look, it’s Conor McGregor’s b**ch right there!” before lobbing water balloons in his direction. Joe Rogan reacts to Jake Paul prank “How did he know he was gonna be there,” Rogan said. “But then he sped away! Dillon Danis ran up to him and he sped away. Why didn’t he get out and fight him?” He went on to say “let me tell you something. If Dillon Danis gets a hold of you, you’re gonna get your arms broken, you’re getting your neck strangled off.” It’s clear that he holds Danis in high esteem, saying, “Dillon Danis is a world class grappler. Top of the food chain.” Topic starts at 4:14 Rogan claims that the reason Jake didn’t fight the pro fighter after the prank is because “there’s no boxing gloves,” saying “it’s a whole different world son.” He seems highly skeptical of Jake’s chance of winning, but begrudgingly says “he might be able to.” It seems as though next year could be a busy one for the Paul brothers, as well as the whole cast of fighters the pair have challenged to fights over the recent months.

Joe Rogan mocks ongoing Spotify controversy in new stand-up comedy routine – Dexerto
Joe Rogan mocks ongoing Spotify controversy in new stand-up comedy routine YouTubeJoe Rogan is using his ongoing Spotify controversy in a new comedy routine, poking fun at critics accusing him of spreading “misinformation” on his podcast. UFC commentator and podcast host Joe Rogan has come under fire recently for his controversial takes on the global health crisis along with accusations of racism. While defenders of Joe have argued that his remarks were fine contextually, Rogan himself agreed to remove over 70 episodes of his show from Spotify. Now, amid the drama, the Joe Rogan Experience host is reportedly using his time in the sun to his advantage by incorporating it into his latest stand-up comedy act. Joe Rogan laughs off Spotify drama in stand-up act According to TMZ, during Rogan’s February 8 act in Austin, Texas, the UFC commentator said he was disgusted when he saw video compilations of himself saying racist slurs. “That was racist as f**k. Even to me! I’m me and I’m watching it saying, ‘Stop saying it!’ I put my cursor over the video and I’m like, ‘Four more minutes?!’” he reportedly told the crowd, who had their phones locked to prevent recordings. “If you’re taking [health] advice from me, is that really my fault? What dumb s**t were you about to do when my stupid idea sounded better? ‘You know that dude who made people eat animal d*cks on TV? How does he feel about medicine?’ If you want my advice, don’t take my advice,” he said later on in the set. Hey @joerogan, we are ready to fight alongside you. See the note from our CEO @chrispavlovski… pic.twitter.com/G7ahfNNjtP — Rumble 🏴☠️ (@rumblevideo) February 7, 2022 Will Joe Rogan leave Spotify? Despite the ongoing drama, Spotify seems intent on keeping JRE available on the platform, with its CEO Daniel Ek defending the host. Meanwhile, Rumble, a free speech video site, offered Rogan $100m to get off Spotify and bring his show to their platform. It’s unknown if Joe has been in talks with them about switching, or if Spotify would even be willing to let him out of his existing contract.

Joe Rogan mindblown that Max Holloway used UFC video game to improve – Dexerto
Joe Rogan mindblown that Max Holloway used UFC video game to improve Podcast host and MMA commentator Joe Rogan was blown away on his December 18 JRE show, after guest Max Holloway revealed how a UFC video game had helped hone his skills for the real-life UFC. Joe Rogan’s association with the UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) is long and storied, first working as a commentator and interviewer since as early and 1997. Better known these days for his hugely popular Joe Rogan Experience podcast, where he talks with guests from an eclectic variety of fields and disciplines, he still regularly invites friends from the fighting world too for Mixed Martial Arts specials. His latest guest, on episode 85 of the MMA show on JRE, was former UFC Featherweight Champion Max Holloway, fresh from losing his crown in his defeat to Alexander Volkanovski on December 15 at UFC 245, Competing since he was a teenager, Holloway has a breadth of experience under his belt, but blew Rogan away when he revealed that he actually learned a thing or two by playing the UFC video game. Explaining that he didn’t have a striking coach in his early career, Holloway explained “I used Renan Barão and José Aldo, and I’d do stuff with them, like ‘oh yeh, this works in the game.’ My friend at the time, Dustin Kimura, he would hold mitts for me, and I’d be like ‘I tried this in the game, and it was working, let’s try it.” Topic starts at 1:30 Understandably bemused, Joe Rogan responded “What?! You had watched the video game […] that is so ridiculous! Wow.” Holloway said that if it worked in the video game, then why not? “I’d try combinations and be like, this kind of worked, let’s try it! Why not? It got me that far.” It should be noted that this was the very earliest edition of the UFC games, which would have been far more rudimentary than the modern games, which feature endless combos and techniques with a wide variety of real fighters, including Holloway himself. Regardless, it goes to show that even for elite athletes, even a simple game version of their sport could come in handy as a training tool. It’s no secret that countless professional footballers will play games like FIFA, or NBA stars playing 2K, although how useful they are for these team-based games may be more limited.

Joe Rogan mocks “goofy” Royal Family amid Harry and Meghan exit – Dexerto
Joe Rogan mocks “goofy” Royal Family amid Harry and Meghan exit YouTube: Joe Rogan / Wikimedia CommonsPodcast host and famed UFC commentator Joe Rogan has weighed in on the ongoing hysteria around the departure of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. On January 18, it was confirmed that the ‘Sussexes’ would relinquish their Royal ‘HRH’ titles, as they formally step back from all Royal duties. They’re also moving to Vancouver, where they will split time between there and their UK home. “Megxit”, as it has been dubbed in the UK press, has caused a media frenzy, as The Queen was reportedly not informed of the couple’s intentions, finding out via the news. Joe Rogan, who has little connection to the British isles, asked his podcast guest Mike Baker, a former CIA officer of dual American and British citizenship, to break the situation down for him. After Baker explained the predicament, including the large sums of money which members of the Royal Family receive, Rogan was taken aback. “What kind of goofy sh*t is that?! They give them $58 million to ‘help finance the extensive renovation of Buckingham Palace’.” While doing his best impression of The Queen herself, he highlighted the disparity of wealth. “Imagine being a poor person, and finding out that The Queen, who literally does nothing, is making $100 million in a year. […] Everybody’s like brainwashed over there.” Baker explained that a major discussion point of Harry and Meghan’s exit is to do with finances, and their ability to monetize themselves. As members of the Royal Family, they are not permitted to make money from the ‘brand’. “So the idea is that you’re getting paid enough?” Rogan asks, “Just, what a goofy system. Just giving them money for free, to be a Royal. […] What does that even entail?” In their statement on January 18, it is made clear that Harry and Meghan will be repaying the several million in public money which was used for renovations on their UK family home, Frogmore Cottage. While Joe Rogan was unimpressed by the setup of the Royal Family overall, he seemed to respect the Sussexes’ decision to leave, and pursue their own ‘financial independence.’ “They’re already so popular, all they need to do is start endorsing makeup lines, and sneaker and watches and sh*t,” he said. Baker agreed, pointing out the massive following Meghan Markle has on Instagram, and how easily it could be monetized. Their departure may have split opinion in the United Kingdom, but it appears Rogan thinks the couple are better on their own, than in the “goofy” Royal Family system.

Joe Rogan made his Podcast desk wider because he was scared of Mike Tyson – Dexerto
Joe Rogan made his Podcast desk wider because he was scared of Mike Tyson YouTube: Joe RoganJoe Rogan has revealed that he literally made his podcasting desk wider, because he wanted some extra room between himself and legendary boxer Mike Tyson, when the pair sat down for an interview in 2020. [jwplayer i1qJKDry] Rogan has interviewed countless athletes and fighters on his podcast, and even has a dedicated series focused on MMA fighters specifically. But, when Mike Tyson was coming to town, Rogan wanted to take some extra precautions. In his episode with Mark Normand, the pair got to discussing Tyson, prompting Rogan to divulge the truth about his wide desk, seen in all of his episodes. It turns out, that the desk is particularly wide because of Tyson himself — who was “amped up” for a fight when he came in to be interviewed. “[Mike Tyson] is the reason why this table is this wide. This table, I was going to make it more narrow, I even had a smaller table that we were working with as a guide,” Rogan explains. Read More: Jake Paul wants to fight Floyd Mayweather – “We were still doing the shows back in LA, while we were setting up this studio, I did an interview with Tyson, and he was so amped up for this Roy Jones fight, that I got nervous being in the room. “I’m like, ‘I like that extra six inches of space between us, because he was so ramped up. When he left, Jamie goes ‘that’s a totally different person,’ because he went from being, ‘Mike Tyson, pot grower, not working out at all’, to getting ready to go to combat again.” Tyson has actually appeared on the Joe Rogan podcast twice, once in January 2019, and then again in September 2020. In the 2019 episode, Tyson likely had no plans of returning to the ring again, but did so in November 2020, as he took on former four-division champ Roy Jones Jr. The fight resulted in a draw, with two judges picking a different winner, and the final judge matching them evenly on the scorecard. Even at ages 54 and 51 respectively, Tyson and Jones fought a full eight rounds. Mike Tyson also appeared on Logan Paul’s podcast, where he explained that YouTube boxing fights are one of the biggest boosts to the sport of boxing currently. Rogan himself is 53, and has revealed that he keeps himself fighting-fit partly in thanks to taking testosterone supplements.

After joining the fighting organization in 1997 as a post-fight interviewer, Rogan eventually moved into a color-commentary position and has been calling the biggest mixed martial arts fights ever since, lending his expertise to bouts featuring legends like Brock Lesnar, Anderson Silva, Jon Jones, and Conor McGregor. In 2009, the comedian launched his own podcast titled The Joe Rogan Experience, and for over a decade, he has invited on an eclectic mix of celebrities, academics, and experts to discuss the world, and often the sport of MMA, propelling him to the top of podcast charts worldwide. Dave Ramsey’s advice podcasts brought in $10 million, Dave Ramsey’s advice podcasts brought in $10 million, while actor Dax Shephard’s Armchair Expert, which sees him interview celebrity friends and experts made $9 million. Rounding out the list is former ESPN commentator Bill Simmons, who raked in $7 million through his sports-based show. Joe Rogan loves Dead or Alive, thinks Marie Rose is “hot” – Dexerto
Joe Rogan loves Dead or Alive, thinks Marie Rose is “hot” YouTube: PowerfulJRE / Team Ninja, Koei TecmoJoe Rogan admitted that he’s a big fan of the Dead or Alive franchise — and says he has a soft spot for one of the series’ female characters, Marie Rose. Joe Rogan’s comments on video games have garnered quite a bit of consternation from gamers in the past. Back in 2020, the UFC color commentator notably called video games a “problem” and a “waste of time.” Rogan also claimed that he couldn’t play them anymore due to issues with gaming addiction — but it looks as though he’s still able to get in a session or two from time to time. The podcast host opened up on video games once again during a recent episode of the Joe Rogan Experience, where he admitted that he played a few rounds of the fighting game series ‘Dead or Alive’ with his daughter. Joe Rogan enjoys playing Dead or Alive “I play, what’s that karate game? Was it Dead or Alive? It’s a f*ckin’ great karate game. Where you get to pick all these different [characters]. And my daughter kept jacking me up.” “She was using this little lady, and this little lady does this little fast move. She spins around and kicks you in the head. My daughter kept f*ckin’ me up. She f*cked me up like three times. She was so happy, and I was so upset with myself. I was like, ‘I can’t believe it.’” One of Rogan’s assistants pulled up a screenshot from Dead or Alive 5 Last Round, one of the more recent installations in the fighting game franchise, showing a pic of Marie Rose trading blows with Bayman. “That’s that girl,” Rogan said, instantly recognizing the character. “She’s hot as f*ck. Dead or Alive, that’s it. It’s a f*ckin’ great game. It’s so addictive.” That’s not all; Rogan, being an avid martial arts “fanatic,” even claimed that combat sports enthusiasts “can use some martial arts strategy in that game if you know good techniques.” (Topic begins at 2:45) While Rogan has been critical of games in the past and has steered clear of them in order to protect himself from addiction, it looks like he can still enjoy them in small amounts from time to time — and even put his martial arts knowledge to good use.

Joe Rogan loses Spotify number 1 spot as new Batman podcast dominates charts – Dexerto
Joe Rogan loses Spotify number 1 spot as new Batman podcast dominates charts Spotify/Joe RoganThe Joe Rogan Experience has been knocked off the top spot of Spotify’s podcast charts by a brand-new Batman show, but will it be temporary or a longer-term thing? For well over a decade, Joe Rogan’s JRE podcast has been one of the most popular shows around, with millions of fans initially watching on YouTube before the UFC commentator signed an exclusive deal with Spotify. Despite the Spotify exclusivity, the podcast has continued to dominate the charts and regularly takes over the internet whenever Rogan has an interesting take on a topic or a unique guest to talk to – just like how he said he wants Elon Musk to buy TikTok if his deal for Twitter goes through. So, it is pretty unusual to see him dethroned from the top spot on Spotify’s most popular podcast charts. However, it has happened once again, as Rogan has fallen behind a Batman-themed show. That’s right, Rogan’s show has lost out – albeit temporarily – to Spotify’s new Batman Unburied show across the US, UK, Australia, Mexico, India, and a handful of other nations. The drama podcast, which debuted at the start of May, has only consisted of two episodes to this point, but that has been enough to take Rogan’s spot. As noted, the JRE podcast has been dethroned in the past by Minecraft stars SapNap and KarlJacobs, as well as the It’s Always Sunny Podcast, but he typically only slides as far as second place. In the UK, though, Rogan has fallen to fourth overall for the time being, which is pretty unusual. Now, just because he’s lost out on the number one spot again doesn’t mean that Spotify will be rushing to rip up Rogan’s massive exclusivity contract. Far from it. Despite some controversy, both parties have benefited pretty well from the deal – with the streaming service getting a massive influx of subscribers since signing Rogan up. Plus, it is most likely that the JRE Podcast finds its way back on top before long once a few new episodes drop.

Joe Rogan loses number 1 Spotify podcast spot to former YouTube star – Dexerto
Joe Rogan loses number 1 Spotify podcast spot to former YouTube star Spotify/Joe RoganJoe Rogan has been knocked off the top of the Spotify charts by a brand-new podcast from an ex-YouTube star, but it comes with a slight catch. When Joe Rogan first started the Joe Rogan Experience podcast over a decade ago, it was mainly about sharing wacky stories with his fellow comedians while also testing different bits and jokes for their shows. Since then, the JRE Podcast has become the podcast in the world, covering all corners of the internet and life over the last few years. That hasn’t stopped with his Spotify exclusivity deal either, as Rogan has managed to bring in millions of subscribers to the streaming network. Naturally, the UFC commentator has continued to dominate the charts too, but there are times when he slips off the top spot and is replaced by something new – even if it is ever so briefly. Joe Rogan dethroned by Burnie Burns’ podcast on Spotify charts Well, that’s because the case again recently, as Rogan has been displaced off the top of the Spotify charts in the UK by former Rooster Teeth Executive Producer Burnie Burns. Burns, who was one of the original founders of the production company, had taken a hiatus from the internet after departing RT in late 2020. At the end of 2023, he launched his new podcast Morning Somewhere, and that has jumped above Rogan – at least in the UK. The JRE Podcast still holds the top spot in the United States, for example, and has also recently regained top spot in Australia from Burns’ new podcast. Though, he lags behind in Ireland too. As noted, Rogan’s slip does happen every now and again, and the UK is typically the main market where it happens. He’s been beaten by fellow comedians and other YouTubers in recent months. His contract with Spotify is reportedly up in 2024, and it’ll be interesting to see if it’s renewed or if Rogan moves back to being on a range of platforms. We’ll just have to wait and see.

Joe Rogan loses number 1 Spotify podcast spot to TikTok star – Dexerto
Joe Rogan loses number 1 Spotify podcast spot to TikTok star Spotify/Joe RoganJoe Rogan has, once again, been knocked off the top spot of Spotify’s podcast charts as TikTok star Alix Earle has launched her Hot Mess podcast. Over the last decade and a bit, the Joe Rogan Experience has grown into the biggest podcast in the world, as the former Fear Factor host has managed to book guests from all corners of the internet. Though, it hasn’t been without controversy. Naturally, when Spotify began signing podcasts to exclusive deals, the JRE Podcast became the jewel in their crown. They gave Rogan a reported $200m for the exclusive rights to publish the podcast solely on Spotify. They’ve continued to sign other podcasters to exclusive deals as well, and some of them have managed to take over his top spot – even if it has been ever so briefly. However, now it’s TikToker Alix Earlier – who has racked up tens of millions of followers online – who has taken over his spot. Joe Rogan beaten to Spotify top spot by Alix Earle The hugely successful TikToker launched her Hot Mess with Alix Earle podcast on September 21, and it didn’t take long for it to displace Rogan at the top of the charts – despite it not being a Spotify exclusive. The debut episode has, in fact, left Rogan’s podcast down in third place after the TikToker leapfrogged both him and The Diary of A CEO podcast. What’s interesting to note, though, is that her first episode came in the midst of the JRE Podcast having a run of four new episodes in four days. It wasn’t like there was a real gap or hiatus from Rogan for it to exploit. Which makes it even more impressive. As noted, this isn’t the first time it’s happened to Rogan – especially in the UK. A few months ago, he was dethroned by YouTuber WillNE after he launched his TWOTI podcast, and the UFC commentator was also knocked off top spot by a completely random show not long after. It never takes too long for the JRE Podcast to jump back into first place, though. Plus, it’s still going strong in plenty of other markets.

Joe Rogan loses number 1 Spotify podcast spot as YouTubers take over – Dexerto
Joe Rogan loses number 1 Spotify podcast spot as YouTubers take over Joe Rogan YouTube / SpotifyJoe Rogan’s podcast has fallen off the top spot of Spotify’s podcast charts as WillNE’s TWOTI show has lept into first place as other YouTubers have risen up. When it comes to discussing the biggest podcasts in the world, the Joe Rogan Experience is right up there at the very top, even despite the fact it is now exclusive to Spotify. As has been reported previously, the move to Spotify was hugely beneficial for both pirates, with Rogan getting around $200 million for the rights, while the streaming platform got a huge influx of new users. That influx of new users has seen him regularly keep the top spot on the podcast charts across the globe, even though there have been a few contenders to the throne. Though, it has slipped off in one particular way. Joe Rogan dethroned as Spotify’s top podcast in the UK again In the UK at least, Rogan’s podcast has slipped down the charts and been replaced by the returning TWOTI – This Week on the Internet – hosted by YouTuber WillNE. The YouTube star, who launched TWOTI as an on-and-off again weekly internet recap video a few years back on his channel, has been steadily climbing the charts over the last few weeks and has now surpassed Rogan as the top podcast in the UK currently. He’s not the only YouTuber in the top 10 though, as shows from The Fellas and the Bomb Squad Podcast have also cemented the fact that content creators appear to be taking over. As noted, this is only in the UK and for the previous seven days, with the JRE Podcast still flying high in top spot for the United States charts and other countries. We’ve seen this happen a few times previously when a new Batman podcast and Meghan Markle’s Archetypes show were first launched. So, Rogan isn’t completely finished and new episodes will likely see him return to the top spot with the release of a big episode.

Joe Rogan loses number 1 Spotify podcast spot to brand new show – Dexerto
Joe Rogan loses number 1 Spotify podcast spot to brand new show Spotify/Joe RoganJoe Rogan has been knocked off the top of Spotify’s podcast charts by a brand-new show that is also backed by the streaming platform. Well, at least in some markets. Over the last decade or so, the Joe Rogan Experience has grown to comfortably become the biggest podcast in the world. Rogan, the controversial host of the self-titled show, manages to get guests from all walks of life for deep conversations about some serious and wacky topics. That has led to him joining forces with Spotify over the last few years, signing a massive deal with the streaming service to give them exclusivity over his shows. The deal, which was inked in 2020, is reportedly coming up for renewal in the next few months, and isn’t the only one Spotify has signed recently. They’ve added the likes of Call Her Daddy, The Louis Theroux Podcast, and even Trevor Noah’s new show – What Now? Trevor Noah beats Joe Rogan to Spotify top podcast Well, it’s Noah’s new show – which has debuted with an episode featuring Dwayne ‘The Rock Johnson – that has given Rogan a little bit of trouble. Well, at least temporarily. The first episode from the former Daily Show host has taken over Rogan’s typically solidified top spot on the Spotify charts, knocking the JRE show down to second. This is the case, at least, in the major markets of the UK and the United States, with Noah’s show debuting to much fanfare. When Rogan is typically knocked off the top spot, it’s usually because he hasn’t released an episode and it’s opened a gap for someone else to jump up. However, that isn’t the case this time as he’s released three episodes since November 9. Once the hype around Noah’s first episode starts to fall off, Rogan’s podcast will certainly return to the top spot. So, as noted, it’s only a temporary thing.

Joe Rogan & Jake Paul hilariously mocked in SNL’s ‘Mellen’ sketch with Jason Sudeikis – Dexerto
Joe Rogan & Jake Paul hilariously mocked in SNL’s ‘Mellen’ sketch with Jason Sudeikis YT: JoeRogan / IG: Jake PaulPodcaster and stand-up comedian Joe Rogan found himself being mocked in a new Jason Sudeikis led Saturday Night Live comedy sketch. He wasn’t the only one though, with YouTuber turned boxer Jake Paul also in the firing line. Saturday Night Live has long flexed its comedic muscles by poking fun at celebrities of all backgrounds and satirizing the latest trends. As digital platforms like YouTube, Twitch and Spotify create new stars, they find themselves in the proverbial sights of SNL. That was the case in October 23’s show, led by Ted Lasso actor Jason Sudeikis. He was the star of the ‘Mellen’ sketch, a skit which targeted Ellen DeGeneres’ talk show, toxic masculinity, and more. As the show satirized male entertainment Sudeikis, in character as Mellen, fired some humorous shots at Rogan. “Plus, we’re going to cook wild boar meat with Joe Rogan and the guy from Ancient Aliens, who might be Joe Rogan in a wig,” he joked. It’s hard to imagine it’s not targeting Joe Rogan’s dietary habits from the past, which have included entirely carnivorous diets, as well as his love of hunting. Rogan wasn’t the only internet star to be targeted in the sketch though, with it quickly turning its attention to Jake Paul. The boxer has been ridiculed recently for calling out Tyson Fury after his epic win over Deontay Wilder, something that SNL appeared to satirize as a bullish Jake Paul – played bizarrely by comedian Pete Davidson – continued to challenge Muhammad Ali, despite Mellen reminding him of the legendary boxer’s passing. There was even a nod to the bet Paul and Tommy Fury are said to have, which would see Fury change his name to Tommy Fumbles for a year if he is defeated. The SNL sketch is nothing new, but the reappraisal of its targets reflects the incredible impact platforms like YouTube and Spotify are having on the world of celebrities.

Joe Rogan joins The Rock for workout despite accusing him of steroid use – Dexerto
Joe Rogan joins The Rock for workout despite accusing him of steroid use Spotify/Joe RoganWWE legend Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson finally joined Joe Rogan for an insane workout and appeared on the JRE Podcast despite the host accusing him of using steroids in the past. The Joe Rogan Experience has grown to be the biggest podcast in the world thanks in large part to Rogan’s ability to score massive guests and have pretty insightful, and wacky, conversations. In his November 15, 2023 episode, he finally landed one of the most highly anticipated guests in the form of The Rock. Up to that point, the WWE Hall of Famer had not appeared on the show and had even been subject to claims from Joe of using steroids in his workout routines. Back in late 2022, Rogan somewhat urged Johnson to “come clean” as he was talking about the controversy surrounding the Liver King not being natural. Rogan and The Rock had seemingly been distant as a result of that, but things have changed. Joe Rogan & The Rock workout together despite previous steroid allegations In fact, on top of having the Fast and Furious star on his podcast, Rogan also managed to get an insane workout in alongside him. “That was a blast. Dude that was three hours,” Johnson said during his JRE appearance. “You and me, we had a f*cking banging workout. Then we did the sauna, we did the cold plunge, we did the whole experience. “We did the sauna again. The cold plunge man… that was great. And I love what you’re doing down here by the way with the boys. Getting them down here, giving them the opportunity to get after it, not only their craft, but to get in shape.” Rogan’s Instagram gave a little more insight into the workout, as he revealed they’d been joined by some of his friends, including comedian Shane Gillis. Now the door has been opened, who knows, we might get some future appearances from The Rock – especially if he changes his mind on running for President.

Joe Rogan in hysterics over viral “Jeff Goldblum” street fight video – Dexerto
Joe Rogan in hysterics over viral “Jeff Goldblum” street fight video YouTube: JRE Clips / Twitter: @fallenleoJoe Rogan broke down into fits of laughter during his May 13 podcast after he reacted to a viral clip of two individuals fighting in the street. The comedian couldn’t stop chuckling at the Jeff Goldblum lookalike. On May 11, a video went viral on Twitter after a user filmed their two neighbors fighting outside of their apartment. The internet became obsessed with the round-house kicking Jeff Goldblum “twin” involved in the scuffle. However during his latest podcast, Joe Rogan couldn’t stop laughing while reacting to the clip with guest Tom Papa. The comedian was in hysterics over his friend’s UFC-style analysis of the amateur street brawl. Joe Rogan in hysterics over viral street brawl The podcast host pulled up an edited version of the viral clip by Mixed Martial Arts commentator Robin Black. The Canadian hilariously did a break down of the amateurs as if they were in the Octagon. “These two dudes who look like they’re all m*th’d out, they get into a street fight” Rogan said, chuckling as the clip began. He then lost it when the commentary detailed the man’s weakened kick extension. “But I love ‘year’s of m*th and inactivity binds the hips!’” he said, breaking into uncontrollable laughter. The UFC commentator was amused by how the fight was filmed, stating, “How crazy is that? The street fight has two angles?” Rogan explained that he found the video hilarious because his friend actually does real fighting commentary. “He does real breakdowns of actual fights. He’s a martial arts expert. The fact that he does this occasionally. Oh my God, it’s hilarious!” (Timestamp 09:58 for mobile users.) The clip of the fight originated from Twitter user ‘fallenleo’ who was live tweeting the brawl on May 11. In another post, they explained, “Yes the guy who was shirtless deserved it. He started it. Before this he was yelling at glasses guy calling him every racial slur too.” At the time of writing, the fight video has amassed over 13.8 million views on social media. Twitter users quickly began to rally behind the Jeff Goldblum lookalike after getting more context to the story. According to the person who filmed the brawl, the roundhouse-kicking individual suffered a broken arm and has had a GoFundMe set up for his medical bills. The police were called soon after, and the fight was broken up.

Joe Rogan explains why Jake Paul is a “better boxer” than brother Logan – Dexerto
Joe Rogan explains why Jake Paul is a “better boxer” than brother Logan YouTube: JRE / IG: Logan PaulJoe Rogan believes Jake Paul is a “better boxer” than his brother Logan, explaining that while Logan is more athletic, Jake has “legit power” — proven by the fact he knocked out Tyron Woodley. Joe Rogan has had nothing but positive things to say about Jake Paul and Logan Paul. Not only did he commend Jake for pulling off huge wins, but also admitted he was “blown away” by Logan’s WWE debut at WrestleMania 38. However, when comparing the two in terms of their boxing skills, he believes Jake is the superior fighter, referring to The Problem Child’s knockout power, which he showcased by knocking out Ben Askren and Tyron Woodley. “Him and his brother are f**king animals,” said Rogan. “I mean what they’ve been able to do is incredible. Jake Paul knocked out Tyron Woodley. Do you understand that? With one punch. That’s crazy, bro. Rogan reiterated how massive of an achievement that was, especially for a YouTuber-turned-boxer. “The fact that he knocked out one of the greatest UFC Welterweight Champions of all time with one punch is f**king bonkers.” However, he had to draw the line between the two siblings — and Jake wins out when it comes to fighting power. “He’s got the power out of the two of them,” Rogan explained. “Logan is a really good athlete but he’s not as good of a boxer. But Jake, on top of being a better boxer, he’s got legit power.” Despite all the praise, though, Rogan thinks the second fight would have played out differently if Woodley had more time to prepare: “Tyron took it on just a few weeks notice. There’s no way he was conditioned for that fight. “It would have been a different fight if Tyron had the time to prepare. I guarantee you. Because he would have more conditioning and more confidence to hit the gas. He didn’t have the conditioning you need to go into a hard fight.”

Joe Rogan hits back at media calling him “homophobic and transphobic” – Dexerto
Joe Rogan hits back at media calling him “homophobic and transphobic” Joe Rogan Experience (YouTube)UFC analyst and comedian Joe Rogan fired back at media outlets who labeled him as transphobic after a clip of him discussing transgender athletes had resurfaced. Among other things, the popular UFC commentator is known for his massive podcast the ‘Joe Rogan Experience’ which brings in millions of viewers per episode. However, due to the size of his show, many of his comments around controversial topics are often put under scrutiny and, during one of his latest episodes with Mark Normand, Rogan fired back at some of his critics. Trans comments taken “completely out of context” Rogan received a lot of backlash after he was critical of a transgender athlete who had started fighting in a mixed martial arts promotion, without disclosing that she had been born a biological male. After receiving criticism for his approach to the topic, Rogan felt that he had been misrepresented by media outlets who narrowed in on a specific comment despite his concerns around the issue and the safety of others. The backlash had been heightened after Bernie Sanders used Rogan in endorsement material for his presidential campaign. “What was fascinating to me was that these people like f**king CNN printed something saying I was homophobic and transphobic, there’s a clip that they’re using that’s completely out of context,” he expressed, denying the accusations. “if there are some trans people listening to this, I’ve got nothing but love for you, for everybody.” Topic starts at 1:53 for mobile users. “The video they are using is me saying, “you’re a f**king man.” I definitely shouldn’t have used those words,” Rogan admitted, taking back his choice of words at the time of the comment, but sticking with his original point. “But this person was a man for 30 years, transitioned to become a woman for 2 years, and then started fighting women, didn’t tell them she used to be a man and was smashing girls, she literally broke this girl’s skull,” he explained. Joe Rogan’s view on trans athletes and fighters Rogan also revealed that he was not even against the idea of trans athletes fighting in a division of their choice as long as everyone involved was aware beforehand. “Here’s the thing, if she disclosed it and everyone knew I’m 100% okay with it. If you want to do that and you’re a woman, it’s your choice to fight a trans woman and see how you do.” “I’m not (transphobic). This has only to do with athletics, in terms of your gender identity and who you are and what you want to do I don’t care, and specifically, my wheelhouse which is fighting, there is a gigantic physical advantage that men have,” Rogan added. Despite dealing with a lot of controversy in recent weeks, particularly after voicing his thoughts on the upcoming election, the popular podcast host does not seem to shy away from standing his ground, as was seen in his short feud with Stephen A Smith.

Joe Rogan hits back at people who call Kanye West “crazy” – Dexerto
Joe Rogan hits back at people who call Kanye West “crazy” YouTube: Joe RoganFollowing his highly anticipated interview with Kanye West last month on his self-titled podcast, Joe Rogan sat down with comedian Tom Green to discuss the implications of calling Kanye West “crazy.” Addressing the controversial comments West made in the past, Rogan said to Green that there is “great value in the way [Kanye] thinks.” With his own interview with Kanye lasting over three hours, Rogan argued that a shorter interview would risk taking West out of context and lead to scrutiny, implying that some of his controversies in the past were a result in people capturing “soundbites ” of West that lead to people “missing who he really is.” Criticizing people who claimed that West needed mental health treatment, Rogan continued: “When people try to medicate him, I think: if you have a choice between medicated, overweight Kanye who doesn’t get anything done and manic crazy Kanye who says wild sh*t, you want manic crazy Kanye, because manic crazy Kanye is the one who makes amazing music.” “When you call it mental illness, that’s the problem,” Rogan continues. “You think: “If you call it mental illness then you’ve got to give it medicine!” Do you really? Because that ‘mental illness’ is making some pretty amazing sh*t.” “Whatever you call his “illness’ is just a particular style of thinking he has,” Rogan claimed. “It’s non-linear, wild, but also very focussed.” With Rogan vehemently defending West, some called him out for making less-than-complimentary comments in the past. In a YouTube comment that got over 2.7k likes, one user said: “Joe really out here pretending like he didn’t call Kanye crazy.” Similarly, in another YouTube comment that got 1.5k likes, a user said: “Wasn’t Joe one of those people who called Kanye crazy?” This isn’t the first time Rogan has been called out for his changing opinion on West. Earlier in November, fans accused Rogan of being “two-faced” after YouTuber Crying Shark compiled a video of old clips from Rogan’s own podcast to demonstrate his contrasting comments about West in the past. Why do people call Kanye West “crazy”? Kanye West – who since 2018 has preferred to go by “Ye” – has been under a lot of scrutiny this year after running a bizarre campaign for President during the 2020 elections. Among other things, he told Rogan in his podcast that he wanted to be “leader of the free world” and also discussed how he “almost aborted” his first child North West in a South Carolina rally in mid-July this year. Following this rally, he posted a series of Tweets accusing wife Kim Kardashian-West and mother-in-law Kris Jenner of trying to “lock [him] up”, likening his situation to 2017 horror film Get Out. As he remained in his secluded ranch in Wyoming, Kardashian-West reminded fans of Kanye’s bipolar disorder diagnosis. Implying that he was going through a manic episode, she urged fans and the media to be “compassionate and understanding.” While Kardashian-West and Kanye seem to have gotten their marriage back on track as of late, West has amassed further criticism after gifting wife Kim with a hologram of deceased father Robert Kardashian for her birthday. The spoken hologram, which West wrote the script for, told Kardashian-West that her husband was a “genius”, which in turn reignited debate about Kanye West’s mental state.

Joe Rogan hails Tyson Fury after “incredible” win over Deontay Wilder – Dexerto
Joe Rogan hails Tyson Fury after “incredible” win over Deontay Wilder Spotify: Joe Rogan/YouTube: BT SportJoe Rogan joined in with the singing of praises for Tyson Fury after he managed to secure a knockout win over Deontay Wilder in the pair’s trilogy fight. While his background might be in mixed martial arts and the UFC, combat sports, in general, are a regular topic of conversation on the Joe Rogan Podcast as he’s had all different kinds of fighters on for a chat. Whenever there’s a big boxing card on the horizon, Joe will touch on it, which he has done with the previous Fury vs Wilder bouts. When Fury beat Wilder in their second clash, Rogan laughed off the American’s excuse that his entrance attire had affected him before he’d even thrown a punch. Despite going down to the canvas in their third clash on October 9, Fury ultimately reigned supreme once again after stopping Wilder in the 11th round with a devastating hook. The internet was quick to dub the fight an instant classic and rank it right up there with some of the best heavyweight clashes that there have been in recent memory. Rogan also joined in with that, uploading a screenshot of the final moments to Instagram and congratulating Fury on his “incredible” achievement in beating the Bronze Bomber yet again. “All hail the @gypsyking101 (Tyson Fury)!” Rogan said. “One of the greatest heavyweight fights of all time. Incredible.” View this post on Instagram Plenty of Rogan’s UFC and MMA colleagues joined in with his praise too, but the detailed breakdown and thoughts about who might be next for Fury will have to wait for a future episode of the Joe Rogan Experience. In terms of potential challengers, Fury could take on Oleksandr Usyk to claim all the belts, but he might have to wait until the Ukrainian star has fought Anthony Joshua again. YouTube star Jake Paul tossed his hat into the ring as a potential challenger but that’s a complete mismatch and the internet let him know about it.

Joe Rogan heaps praise on Jake Paul’s skills amid fight cancelation: “He could be a pro boxer” – Dexerto
Joe Rogan heaps praise on Jake Paul’s skills amid fight cancelation: “He could be a pro boxer” Joe Rogan has given his honest opinions on Jake Paul’s boxing skills, claiming the YouTube star could become a legit pro boxer. Nobody could’ve imagined where YouTube and TikTok boxing is today. With events starring some of the internet’s biggest stars popping up left, right, and center, millions of people have had their eyes drawn to the combat sport. One of the biggest names in the game is, of course, Jake Paul, who since his first amateur fight in 2018 has had five professional bouts all resulting in wins for the 25-year-old. However, none of his opponents so far have been professional boxers, which he wanted to change by stepping in the ring with Tommy Fury. The two were initially set to clash in 2021 before the fight fell through. They were then set to step in the ring on August 6, until history repeated itself again as Fury backed out of the fight. In short notice, 12-1 pro boxer Hasim Rahman Jr. agreed to step up to the challenge and fill Fury’s boots for the bout at Madison Square Garden. However, the fight was officially canceled on July 31 due to Rahman not being able to meet the weight required. Despite the continuous fight cancellations, Joe Rogan has praised the popular YouTuber, and he even believes he has the skill to be a “legit pro boxer.” During a recent podcast, the UFC commentator spoke highly of Jake Paul’s boxing career so far. “He knocked out Tyron Woodley, who is one of the greatest welterweight champions in the history of the UFC,” Rogan noted. “I mean obviously Tryon Woodley is not a boxer, his background is in wrestling, but you’re still talking about an elite combat sports athlete and Jake Paul flatlined him with one punch,” he added. “He’s legit, and I’ve watched him hit mits, I’ve watched him workout, I’ve watched him spar. I think he’s legit. I think he could be a legit pro boxer,” Joe explained. “If he wasn’t Jake Paul and you watched his performance against Tyron Woodley, if he was just an up-and-coming boxing contender, I would say that guy is a f***ing killer, keep an eye on him. “The way he knocked out Tyron Woodley is serious.” While Paul’s upcoming fight on August 6 was supposedly called off due to Rahman not meeting weight requirements in time, Joe claimed another reason the fight was canceled was that “no one” wanted to see it. Nonetheless, we have no idea who Jake will be stepping in the ring with next. But, according to Rogan, he has the skills to become a pro boxer. Unfortunately for the YouTube star, if he was to win his fight against Rahman, he would’ve received an official World Boxing Council ranking.

Joe Rogan guests not benefiting as much from Spotify exclusivity – Dexerto
Joe Rogan guests not benefiting as much from Spotify exclusivity Spotify/Joe RoganJoe Rogan might be benefiting massively from his move to Spotify, but new stats have shown that his podcast guests aren’t being shown the same love as before. For years, the Joe Rogan Podcast could be found pretty much wherever you get your podcasts from, and there was a highly entertaining video version of events on YouTube. Though, that all changed back in May of 2020 when the UFC commentator penned a mega-deal with Spotify to make his JRE Podcast exclusive to them. The move is, obviously, a massive one for Rogan, but there have been bumps along the way for fans. In terms of his guests and formats, nothing has changed too much. He and his guests still sit down and chat about everything from current affairs to the weird and wonderful, but it appears as if Rogan’s influence might be waning a touch. According to an in-depth investigation from The Verge, Rogan’s guests are not seeing the same before when it comes to new followers and overall interest. Using guests who had less than 500,00 followers on Twitter, the study looked at how big the difference is for how many new followers that guests were getting before and after the exclusive switch. As they found, guests who appeared before it moved to Spotify would get anywhere from around 4,000 to 18,000 new followers. However, after the move, the average gain dipped to around 2,000. Additionally, Rogan’s YouTube channel also saw a massive loss in average subscribers – dropping from around 265,000 new subs per month to around 100,000. That might indicate that Rogan’s podcast is simply not reaching the same amount of ears now it’s only on Spotify’s platform, but that’s unknown given that the platform doesn’t share that sort of data. In terms of the loss in YouTube growth, that makes seeing as he’s no longer hosting full-length shows on there. Fans have, previously, complained about the move and begged for Rogan to go back to YouTube but that’s not going to happen give he’s signed to Spotify for a few years more.

Joe Rogan had to quit video games over health concerns – Dexerto
Joe Rogan had to quit video games over health concerns YouTube: Joe Rogan[jwplayer Gd3gIdIX]Joe Rogan has explained why he had to quit playing video games after concerns over his “terrible” health – even describing it as an addiction. Joe Rogan is one of the most popular men on the internet, with a podcast that recently fetched a rumored $100m after Spotify bought it out in May. Clearly, though, he is still just a regular man, as revealed when he explained the terrible effects video games have had on his health due to him becoming addicted to them. While in conversation with famous actor and comedian Hannibal Buress, the two started to discuss video games, thoroughly impressed by the PS5 Unreal Engine demo trailer that was revealed ahead of this year’s PlayStation 5 release. Buress then admitted that during the ongoing health crisis, he “dove heavy” into video games, playing NBA 2K “up to 12 hours a day” for escapism. Rogan then revealed that he can no longer use the LAN room beside the studio, saying it’s like a bar and he’s “like an alcoholic.” “We were playing hours every day, to the point where Jamie was telling me I had a problem,” Rogan said. “We would get done with the podcast, I couldn’t wait to go play… But when I would leave, my hands would be sweaty, I would feel nervous, I was physically feeling bad.” Timestamp: 57:01 Joe went on to say that it was affecting his sleep and “putting his body through all this crazy stress” and, based on the fact that he avoids gaming now, probably decided that enough was enough. Obviously, video games affect different people in different ways, but Joe describing his relationship with Quake Champions as “like an addiction” and as “terrible” for his health shows that it’s not always as simple as getting online and having fun with your friends.

Joe Rogan guest surprises him with “the best gifts someone’s ever given” Spotify/Joe RoganOne of Joe Rogan’s latest guests stunned the podcaster into silence when he unveiled several presents while live. Joe Rogan is no stranger to accepting odd bits of memorabilia. His podcast setup is full of odd bits and pieces he’s picked up over the years. But one guest, Patrick Bet-David, the founder of Valuetainment, managed to top all of Joe’s previous collection, with five gifts that left Joe without words. Joe Rogan Experience guest makes “Christmas come early” The first gift to be unveiled was a limited edition Jimi Hendrix pen, who Joe is a big fan of. The next present was a signed letter from Andrew Jackson, who Patrick associated with Rogan because he was “known as the first anti-establishment president. This represents that aspect of you”. This next present, which was the largest, was a board containing autographs from key players in the Kennedy assassination, including President Ford and Lee Harvey Oswald. The fourth present, which was most likely the best, was the original mic used by comedian Lenny Bruce, one of Joe Rogan’s favorite comedians. Patrick described it as “the missing piece”, and even admitted that he delayed his appearance on the show because of how badly he wanted to give it to Joe. “It’s hard to get a gift for you, because you can buy any gift yourself. The hard thing is finding something.” Joe said that “it was the most sh*t that anyone has ever given me,” and that he knew exactly where he was going to put the mic. Patrick’s final gift was an advance copy of his new book, titled “Choose Your Enemies Wisely”. Valuetainment is an online media company that teaches business advice and personal improvement. Joe Rogan goes viral with “bizarre” transformation using photo filter – Dexerto
Joe Rogan goes viral with “bizarre” transformation using photo filter YouTube: PowerfulJRE / Instagram: @joerogan[jwplayer h3XPfMqQ]Popular podcast host Joe Rogan went viral on August 7th after sharing his crazy transformation on Instagram using photo filters. The UFC commentator hit out at the social media feature as being “damaging” to young girls. Over the last decade, Joe Rogan’s rise in podcasting has been nothing short of meteoric. The personality pulls in millions of listeners every week, and has had some of the world’s most interesting guests – from Tesla CEO Elon Musk, to Iron Man himself Robert Downey Jr. The comedian went viral on social media on August 7 after he shared his disturbing transformation on Instagram using photo filters. The star demonstrated to followers how “deceptive” picture editing tools have become, and cautioned that they can be damaging to young girls. Joe Rogan & his crazy Instagram transformation Rogan went viral after posting an image of a young woman on his Instagram, before revealing that the person in the photo was actually him. The star explained that his 10-year-old daughter created the transformation using filters. “My 10 year old daughter is laughing hysterically because she took a picture of my ugly chimp face making kissy lips and ran it through some satanic filter designed to steal women’s self esteem through pure deception and f**kery, and this is the result,” he wrote. The 52-year-old continued to slam the editing tools, calling them “bizarre” while also saying that they are an example of how “distorted young women’s expectations of beauty” have become due to them. He then cautioned followers by stating, “Protect yourself, my friends. The internet is trying to rob you of your happiness.” https://www.instagram.com/p/CDnEQQ_FgKF/ The post exploded on social media, with over 511k people liking it at the time of writing. Many users commented on the picture claiming that it was “terrifying.” Joe Rogan followed up the post by showing the original photo that was ran through the filter and said, “ https://www.instagram.com/p/CDnE1wGlaUa/ This isn’t the first time the commentator has spoken up about the dangers of social media. During a May podcast with Hollywood actor Kevin Hart, he explained how sites like Twitter and Facebook make people become obsessed with negativity. If nothing else, his viral Instagram post is the perfect example of how easily things can be distorted online. Editing tools have now become so advanced, that even a 52-year-old man can pass for a young woman.

Joe Rogan gives verdict on Carole Baskin from Netflix’s Tiger King – Dexerto
Joe Rogan gives verdict on Carole Baskin from Netflix’s Tiger King YouTube: JRE Clips / Michael NoonanPodcast extraordinaire Joe Rogan has shared his thoughts on the controversial occurrences in Netflix’s new hit documentary Tiger King – and questions how suspicious we should be of Carole Baskin’s involvement in her husband’s death. While discussing the ongoing global crisis on the Joe Rogan Experience, Rogan moved on to discuss the Netflix documentary that has the whole world talking: Tiger King. It follows Joe Exotic, a recently incarcerated criminal during his days as a zoo owner in Oklahoma, focusing primarily on the large horde of exotic animals he owns and his everlasting feud with Big Cat Rescue CEO Carole Baskin. However, everybody who has watched the show is asking one important question: did Carole Baskin kill her husband, Don Lewis, and feed him to her tigers? It sounds far-fetched, but many seem to think so, and now Rogan has offered his thoughts. He said: “If you have a husband that’s a millionaire, and you raise tigers, then that guy disappears and no-one knows where he is… If that happens, I think people should be suspicious.” The UFC commentator went on to explain how easy it would have been for Baskin to do. “All she needs is a meat grinder,” Rogan added. “She must have a meat grinder. She throws the husband in the meat grinder, throws the piles out there where the tigers eat, and they just tear him apart.” (Timestamp 2:23 for mobile viewers) With the way Joe explains it so nonchalantly, it’s easy to forget just how morbid the situation he’s describing is, but the common belief from viewers and some characters in the series is that it’s a very real possibility. Of course, Rogan is no stranger to opening the floor to crazy theories on his show, with discussion topics over the years ranging covering just about every possible theory, conspiracy or event possible, so it’s not a surprise that this is something he wants to have his say on.

Joe Rogan goes viral for believing Matt Watson vs Dad was bout between real father & son – Dexerto
Joe Rogan goes viral for believing Matt Watson vs Dad was bout between real father & son YouTube: JRE Clips / DexertoPodcast host Joe Rogan was “so sad” after watching the boxing match between Matt Watson vs Dad at Creator Clash 2022, believing the bout was between a real father and son. Creator Clash was an influencer boxing event that took place in May 2022. The event was the first of its kind in the influencer-boxing space, as it pitted non-fighter creator types against each other to raise money for charity. In the end, the event fundraised over $1.3 million dollars for the American Heart Association, the Alzheimer’s Association of America, and the Healing Horse Therapy Center. It became one of the most popular influencer boxing events of the year, with another on the way in 2023. One of the more prominent matches on the Creator Clash fight card was a bout between YouTubers Matt Watson and ‘Dad.’ Dad clearly had the upper hand throughout their fight and ended up taking the victory by TKO in the very first round. Although both ‘Dad’ and Matt Watson are comedic YouTubers who often put on a fake persona for the laughs, UFC color commentator and podcast host Joe Rogan wasn’t in on the joke. In a recent episode of the Joe Rogan podcast, Rogan relayed a terrible tale about a father vs son boxing match he’d recently watched. He described the fight as a “sad” affair, as the father was apparently “beating the sh*t” out of his own child and even “celebrating” after knocking him down. “I saw a video today of a boxing match between a father and a son,” he began. “It made me so sad. ‘Cause there’s this young kid — he looks like he’s probably 17 or 18, and the father’s 42. And the father beats the sh*t out of him.” “I mean like, dings him in the head and keeps punching him. That’s your son. And we’re watching you beat your son up? ‘Cause I get your son probably got cocky with you, but — and he celebrates after he knocks his son out? It makes me so sad.” Joe Rogan falls for clickbait saying Matt Watson vs Dad was real father vs son boxing match Luckily, Rogan’s editor quickly made him aware that the match wasn’t actually between a father and a son — something the host seemed puzzled by, as the video he’d watched was titled “father knocks out son in celebrity boxing match.” Despite getting duped, Rogan was a good sport about it, admitting that he was “such a sucker” for believing the clickbait. That didn’t stop the creator of Creator Clash, iDubbbz, and Matt Watson himself from clowning on Rogan, though. The two made a hilarious edit of Rogan’s “so sad” speech interspersed with footage from Watson’s fight against Dad, which has racked up over 4.8k retweets at the time of writing. With another Creator Clash set for 2023, there’s no telling what meme-worthy moments will come from it — but there’s already a slew of other internet stars looking to get in on the action.

Joe Rogan floored by Chris D’Elia’s mortifying story of meeting Eminem – Dexerto
Joe Rogan floored by Chris D’Elia’s mortifying story of meeting Eminem YouTube: PowerfulJREDuring the April 15 episode of the Joe Rogan podcast, comedian Chris D’Elia hilariously opened up to the UFC commentator about how his body betrayed him and almost ruined his first meeting with rapper Eminem. We’ve all been there at some point in our lives. That moment when you have something important to do, but then your stomach starts churning so you drop everything to sprint to the nearest toilet. While visiting the Joe Rogan Podcast, comedian Chris D’Elia explained how this happened to him on his way to meeting Eminem. The entertainer revealed the horrifying details about his body turning on him at the worst time ever. Chris D’Elia’s story about meeting Eminem D’Elia hilariously recalled his journey to meeting the rapper, and how things went south quickly. “On my way to meet him. I was like “I think I have to s**t. And then the next thought was ‘I got to sh*t right now.’ It turned into uh oh…” he said, with the UFC commentator’s eyes going wide as his guest explained the tense situation. The comedian then explained how he told his driver to pull over. “There are two ways he can go. One way he can go, there is only a hospital. The other way is into town. In my head I’m like, “it sucks but we got to go to the hospital. I got to go!” Unfortunately the driver went into the city, and he could no longer hold it in. “So I say to the guy, ‘Hey man, pull over!’ There was Kleenex there so I grabbed them and ran into someone’s yard. I found trees, thank God. It all came out quick!” Shockingly, he told Rogan that his driver was apparently attempting to film him. “He started filming it. And I’m like “Bro I swear to god if that ends up on Instagram, you’re done. Not only that, you aren’t meeting Eminem!” he said. The podcast host burst into tears of laughter, as D’Elia continued to explain the mess he left. “I’m sorry I littered, but I left the Kleenex there. What else am I gonna do? It was a lot. Somebody’s gonna think there was a f**king bobcat in their yard.” He wrapped up the incredible story realizing that the iconic rapper would now know about his embarrassing moment. “We then went and met Eminem and he had no idea. Maybe he’ll know now. I’m sure he’s seen this show,” he said, before Rogan exclaimed, “Jesus Christ!” (Timestamp 05:41 for mobile users.) Chris D’Elia has a history with the famous musician, as he went viral in September 2018 with a video imitating his rapping style. The clip got so big, Eminem himself tweeted about it and jokingly challenged him to a battle. Despite the mortifying situation, in the end he got to meet the star without him knowing what had happened – until now. If nothing else, this is a lesson that when you have to go, you have to go. Not even a famous musician can stop an upset stomach.

Joe Rogan forced to cancel Kanye West podcast – Dexerto
Joe Rogan forced to cancel Kanye West podcast Joe RoganJoe Rogan has been forced to cancel the next week of guests lined up for his podcast, including superstar Kanye West, after one of the host’s staff member returned a positive test result meaning the team must now isolate. The Joe Rogan Experience is one of the most popular podcasts in the world listened to by millions of people each week, but the next slate of episodes has hit a major snag. On Oct. 19, Rogan announced on Instagram that the show would be cancelling all the podcasts for the upcoming week after Jamie Vernon, the producer of the show, tested positive forcing the rest of the cast to self-isolate. View this post on Instagram Young @jamievernon tested positive for COVID-19. I tested negative, and the rest of the staff tested negative but we’re shutting everything down until we get an all clear from our doctor. I was out of town last week and the shows that aired had all been previously recorded, so I haven’t had any contact with Jamie in the past 9 days except for briefly today, but I’m staying away from everyone and being tested every day until I know I’m in the clear. I’ll keep you folks posted as to when the show will resume. “Young Jamie Vernon tested positive today. I tested negative, the rest of the staff tested negative, but Jamie tested positive,” Rogan revealed in the video. “He thought he had a sinus infection or allergies. The episodes that aired last week we had previously recorded so I hadn’t seen Jamie in about nine days.” Despite testing positive the former Fear-Factor host assured everyone his tech wizard was on the mend, but added he and the rest of his staff would be cancelling shows for safety reasons for the next week. “So, we cancelled all the shows. We’re happy he has a mild case, but we cancelled all the shows. I’m keeping away from everybody and testing myself and the staff everyday until we’re in the clear, there’s nothing we can do,” the podcaster added. “I won’t know when we’ll do them [podcasts] again until we get a clear from the doctor. I think it’s ten days and three negative test results in a row.” https://twitter.com/kanyewest/status/1317550429895622657?s=20 Sadly, this means fans will miss out on the highly-anticipated show featuring Kanye West, who was scheduled as a guest for the Friday, October 23 program. Rogan didn’t completely rule out having the podcast in some form or another though, adding that he was looking into doing shows remotely or some shows with a substitute producer (which he wasn’t too keen on). After offering apologies to all of the guests and fans affected by the news, the host summed it up as a “f***ed up situation,” but it will be interesting to see how they actually go about producing the show, and if they can still get Yeezy on.

Joe Rogan finally changes JRE podcast lighting after fans complain – Dexerto
Joe Rogan finally changes JRE podcast lighting after fans complain Joe Rogan, YouTubePopular stand-up comedian Joe Rogan has finally revealed changes to the lighting of his new podcast studio after fans decided they hated it, following his move to Texas. After moving his entire podcast studio near his new Texas home in early September, Joe Rogan’s followers were quick to criticize him over the “tacky” updates made to the background of his setup. While most of his fans are used to seeing him in front of the classic red-brick wall with an American flag during his long-form conversations, his latest move saw the addition of some bizarre red lighting patterns instead. The UFC commentator’s first few episodes in the new studio were subject to a lot of criticism and many fans immediately called for adjustments to be made to the new camera angles and lighting that were being used. However, after initially addressing the hate and revealing that they had put the room together on short notice, it seems as if he has taken the feedback on board in his recent episodes, toning down the harsh red lighting that was present in the background of the show. The podcast host has now replaced the bright red light with a blue hue instead. Since the release of his podcast with fellow comedian Colin Quinn on October 8, fans have noticed a massive improvement in the lighting and have been quite positive about the production changes that Rogan and JRE producer Jamie Vernon have made. “Lighting is so much better, doesn’t look like you’re in front of a KFC sign” one viewer commented, while other JRE fans echoed similar compliments after the latest changes. The majority of his viewers claimed that the quality of the episode was “significantly better” but that it could still do with some minor adjustments to bring it up to the usual standard of the popular podcast. As Rogan has previously explained that his current studio was put together on short notice, it is quite possible that he has even more changes in store over the next few months but we’ll just have to wait and see if any further adjustments are made.

Joe Rogan finally returns to YouTube and it’s a massive hit – Dexerto
Joe Rogan finally returns to YouTube and it’s a massive hit YouTube: The Tim Dillon ShowJoe Rogan has made his return to YouTube following the end of his Spotify exclusivity, and things have been going rather well for the podcasting giant. Back in mid-2020, Joe Rogan made a massive move by giving Spotify a “multi-year” exclusivity deal on the Joe Rogan Experience. The podcast went behind the streaming platform’s paywall in September of the same year and quickly brought about some change for both him and Spotify. Previously, Spotify didn’t have a video element, but Rogan’s arrival meant that had to change, and the podcast host got a new studio to mark the new era. After some ups and downs on Spotify, the UFC commentator had been tipped to leave Spotify in early 2024, but ended up penning another multi-year deal with them. However, he’s not beholden to the streaming platform and can publish his podcasts anywhere he wants. Joe Rogan’s return to YouTube brings in massive numbers Episodes of the JRE Podcast started popping up on places like Apple Podcasts, Podbean, and others in early February, but the same couldn’t be said for YouTube. The video platform had, previously, been Rogan’s biggest outlet for the podcast, racking up tens of millions of views for each new episode. That has since changed with the arrival of March, however, as he’s started uploading episodes beginning with episode 2111 – his long-awaited chat with comedian Katt Williams. That upload has, as of writing, gotten over 13 million views, and become one of Rogan’s most-watch episodes. The rest of his episodes are averaging around 2 million views as well, which isn’t shabby. There hasn’t been any sort of difference in time between YouTube and Spotify uploads, so you’re not going to get the jump on anyone else by choosing one platform over another. It also remains to be seen if episodes from his Spotify back catalog will appear on YouTube anytime soon too. Neither Rogan nor the streaming platform have given any indication about that yet, however.

Joe Rogan fans want Jake Paul UFC fight after MMA training video – Dexerto
Joe Rogan fans want Jake Paul UFC fight after MMA training video Spotify: Joe Rogan/Instagram: Jake PaulFans of Joe Rogan want to see the podcaster step into the Octagon with Jake Paul after he uploaded a training video of his MMA skills. While he may have the biggest podcast on the internet, Joe Rogan is also synonymous with the UFC after commentating on events for almost two decades. His reactions to knockouts, injuries, and fight results have become pretty legendary, but he’s not just a fan of mixed martial arts. The 54-year-old hold black belts in two forms of Brazilian jiu-jitsu, and has regularly shown off his skills both on his podcast and across social media. With social media star Jake Paul seemingly crossing over from boxing to the world of MMA, some of Rogan’s most avid listeners wouldn’t mind seeing the two square off inside the cage. In early January, Joe uploaded a minute-long video of him working on his strikes – mainly his spinning back kicks. Fans, and some fighters, were pretty impressed by what they saw, and it gave some a bit of inspiration for suggesting opponents that Rogan might want to deal with – specifically, Jake Paul. “Jake Paul has been real quiet since this came out!” commented one fan. “Joe Rogan vs Jake Paul, MMA three five-minute rounds, lets go,” added another. “Dana White is going to sign Joe rogan to fight Jake Paul after seeing this,” added another impressed viewer. View this post on Instagram The podcasting icon has spoken highly about Paul’s boxing skills, calling him “f**king good” and praising his power – though, he does have some concerns about potential injuries. While the internet would, no doubt, be enthralled with a potential bout between the two, it seems unlikely. Rogan hasn’t fought for quite some time, and seemingly only uses his skills as a part of his fitness routine.

Joe Rogan explains why a fight between Jake Paul and Canelo won’t happen – Dexerto
Joe Rogan explains why a fight between Jake Paul and Canelo won’t happen YouTube: Jake Paul / Joe RoganAlthough a fight between Jake Paul and Canelo Alvarez seems more likely after the Mexican superstar lost for the second time in his boxing career, Joe Rogan doesn’t think it will happen. On May 7, boxing fans were treated to a fight between an unstoppable force and an immovable object when Canelo Alvarez took on the undefeated Dmitry Bivol for a shot at the WBA light-heavyweight world title. The consensus was that Canelo would make quick work of his opponent. However, he lost the fight via unanimous decision, which raised questions about what he should do next, and it seems like Jake Paul could be on the menu. When asked about the possibility of fighting Jake, Canelo said: “Maybe in two years, we could talk about that.” Following his loss, Jake is open to the idea too, claiming he’ll eventually beat him the same way Bivol did. But while the boxing world is getting hyped about the potential fight, Joe Rogan admitted he doubts that it will happen. “It’s not like Canelo’s waiting to fight him,” he said. “Canelo’s got a lot of things he’s doing. He doesn’t have any time to be waiting around for Jake Paul.” “He’s not really going to fight him. He’s going to fight Golovkin in the rematch if he beats Bivol. He’s got things lined up.” With a surprise loss to Bivol just days after Rogan’s comments, there’s no telling how that may impact Canelo’s plans now. That being said, Rogan heaped praise on Jake’s boxing skills. He believes people would take The Problem Child more seriously if he was a legitimate up-and-coming boxer rather than a YouTube celebrity turned boxer. So, if a fight does happen between them, Rogan might even be rooting for him — especially if he hones his craft even more. Of course, there will still be an enormous gap in skill and experience, but Jake has proven he can defy the odds.

Joe Rogan fans plead for videos to go back on YouTube after Spotify issues – Dexerto
Joe Rogan fans plead for videos to go back on YouTube after Spotify issues YouTube: PowerfulJREViewers of the Joe Rogan Experience podcast continue to plead for the full episodes to return to YouTube instead of being exclusively available on Spotify, after users report issues with video playback on the music streaming platform. Joe Rogan is one of the internet’s most popular podcasters, and the JRE has been hosted on YouTube since it started in 2009. In that time he’s racked up over 10 million subscribers on the site, but in December 2020 the show made a controversial move to Spotify exclusivity. While interesting clips from the show are uploaded to the PowerfulJRE YouTube channel, the podcast episodes can’t be watched in their entirety unless you watch them on Spotify. Spotify originally wanted to do audio-only recordings of the show, but Rogan and his management managed to convince the streaming service to facilitate the upload of the video recordings, after explaining that some of the show’s most viral moments wouldn’t have happened without video. The move was generally not a popular one among fans, however, with people saying that “YouTube was more convenient,” as well as, “missing all the comments! When are you gonna get comments on Spotify!” While it was expected that the controversy would calm down after a few months of the podcast being on Spotify, many fans remain frustrated that they can’t have the same experience on Spotify as they did on YouTube. After the release of episode 100 of the Joe Rogan Experience MMA show, many shared their concerns in the comments of Rogan’s Instagram post promoting the new installment, as well as on Twitter. https://twitter.com/RiversLocal/status/1360284051630747649 You can only watch on desktop or on your phone, @Spotify hasn’t made video available on TV apps or console or any other media player.. it’s incredible how incompetent of move it is 🤦♂️ @joerogan @JamieVernon — Kealan Walsh (@kealan_walsh) February 14, 2021 “I can’t even see the Spotify video on my TV, just audio wtf,” one listener said. Others claim, “all I hear on Spotify are ads, the interviews aren’t loading,” with some simply saying that, “Spotify kinda sucks.” Read More: Corpse Husband wins Times Square ad – On Twitter one user explained: “It’s awesome that you have video now, but I hope you work on getting video on my TV app where I would enjoy using it, since I can’t enjoy the show on its previous home anymore.” They added that: “I’m not going to sit at my desk, or stare at my phone for 3 hours.” https://twitter.com/mikermcfarland/status/1360772907807297539 It seems that users who are watching via a TV, and not a phone, tablet, or laptop, are unable to watch the video that accompanies the audio, and this is a deal-breaker for many viewers. With Joe often pulling up clips to share with guests and viewers throughout the show, the lack of video is certainly restrictive for some. Many fans hope that Spotify is working on implementing the video feature to TVs and other devices too, as people continue to report the impact it has on their enjoyment of the show.

Joe Rogan fans still angry about JRE Podcast Spotify exclusive: “Why leave YouTube?” – Dexerto
Joe Rogan fans still angry about JRE Podcast Spotify exclusive: “Why leave YouTube?” YouTube/JoeRoganFans of the Joe Rogan Experience are still livid over the decision to move the podcast exclusively to Spotify, constantly bombarding the celebrity’s Instagram posts with calls for the show to return to YouTube. Back in May of 2020, Joe Rogan announced that JRE would be moving to Spotify as part of a huge multi-year deal with the music platform. While the free-to-watch show has remained the same since the move, just as Rogan promised when the deal was first revealed, the fact it’s no longer on YouTube really rubbed some fans the wrong way. Fans first started voicing their anger when the December 2 show aired, marking the podcast’s transition to a full Spotify exclusive, leaving only clips and highlights for YouTube. Now, the blowback has continued, with the frustration boiling over to the comment sections of Rogan’s Instagram page. After advertising the episode with Suzanne Santo and Gary Clark JR, fans took to the platform in waves to call for the show to return to YouTube. “Go back on Youtube, it’s just easier,” one pleaded. “YouTube was more convenient,” another stated. https://www.instagram.com/p/CJTkekilM0E/ Others provided some sound reasoning for preferring YouTube over Spotify. “Missing all the comments! When are you gonna get comments on Spotify!” asked designer Dino Tomic, which promoted others to agree. “This is my major complaint. Spotify isn’t ready for Joe they barely have the video option,” a user replied. “Yep, really missing the comment section.” The remarks weren’t limited to Joe’s most recent Instagram post either. For the episode with Todd White, the most liked comment was: “Like this comment if you don’t listen to his podcast as much as before” which accumulated nearly 900 likes. Spotify hate continued with other comments being a bit more vulgar, consisting of “Spotify sucks,” “Spotify is whack,” or the ever-demanding “Go back to YouTube!!” Sadly for fans wanting to see JRE back on YouTube, there are no signs that it will be happening any time soon, especially considering the Spotify deal was for multiple years. We’ll have to wait and see how long the complaints last and if Joe Rogan can work some magic to have the show back on YouTube in some capacity other than just highlights.

Joe Rogan fans lash out at Spotify after over 40 podcast episodes removed – Dexerto
Joe Rogan fans lash out at Spotify after over 40 podcast episodes removed YouTube: PowerfulJREWith the ongoing censorship row over the removal of Joe Rogan Experience podcast episodes from Spotify, fans have hit out as the extent of the removal is revealed. Ever since Rogan announced that his podcast would be moving exclusively to Spotify from YouTube, fans have been happy to air their grievances with the changes. While the deal was worth a reported $100m to line Rogan’s pockets, it has come at somewhat of a cost: the loss of some of his old podcast episodes. With over 1600 episodes recorded, you would think these would simply be forgotten, but that isn’t the case at all. Joe Rogan fans lash out over “censorship” After it was revealed that over 40 episodes have been removed, including popular ones with guests such as Alex Jones, Louis Theroux and disgraced comedian Chris D’Elia, fans are lashing out. With claims of censorship coming from his most loyal fans, a lot of people showed their disgust at Spotify. “This is censorship!” said Mark Larsson. “The next contract that Mr. Rogan signs with them should have a clause that they cannot tamper with his catalog. “I will delete Spotify from my phone as soon as Joe Rogan’s catalog is significantly reduced.” Spotify apparently doesn’t realize that many people subscribe to their app because of Joe Rogan. I will delete Spotify from my phone as soon as Joe Rogan’s catalog is significantly reduced. — Mark Larson (@peabarter) April 7, 2021 Hugh also alluded to cancelling his Spotify membership, saying he will switch to rival TIDAL over the censorship issue. I’ve had enough of @Spotify ‘s censorship bullshit. I’m switching to @TIDAL which is better for audiophiles anyway. — Hugh (@OneFreeBobcat) April 7, 2021 Other fans, such as Dave, directly addressed Joe, accusing him of “selling out” and implying that the show has lost its appeal since switching to Spotify. Way to go @joerogan … Ya sold out and now look what they’re doing to “your” show.. 🙄🙄 — Dave 🇺🇸😻 (@79Wagonator) April 7, 2021 Overall, the response has been as rabid and negative as you could imagine. Joe Rogan fans outraged after podcast moves exclusively to Spotify – Dexerto
Joe Rogan fans outraged after podcast moves exclusively to Spotify YouTube: PowerfulJREFans of the Joe Rogan Experience podcast have been left frustrated after episode #1572 with Moxie Marlinspike was uploaded exclusively to Spotify, with many feeling “cheated” by the apparent business move. Joe Rogan has become one of the most popular podcasters on YouTube, with his channel accumulating over 965,000,000 views and 10 million subscribers since its launch in 2009. Rogan has become well known both on the internet and in celebrity spheres, and has hosted a wide variety of superstar guests, such as the likes of Kanye West and Elon Musk. However, many grew concerned back in May after he announced that the podcast would be making a move exclusively over to Spotify. Up until now, episodes have been accessible in full along with highlights on the Joe Rogan Experience YouTube channel. But as of December 2, full episodes of the podcast are exclusively available on Spotify. In highlight clips from recent episodes that have been uploaded to YouTube, the description reads “this clip is taken from the Joe Rogan Experience #1572 with Moxie Marlinspike – Now exclusively on Spotify.” In the comment section of the YouTube clip, fans released their frustration towards the exclusive move. “It’s been a hell of a ride guys. See ya,” one viewer said. One fan said “bye” to the podcast with their comment “This feels like a break-up, and I feel cheated, for a richer guy. Bye JRE.” Another disappointed viewer revealed that while they tried listening to the show on Spotify, they couldn’t handle the “ten straight minutes of ads” and said they would not be paying for a premium account just to listen to one podcast. Rogan has previously spoken about his good relationship with Spotify after they were criticized for alleged censorship in October. In episode 1544 Rogan called them “a great company,” saying “they’re open-minded, they treat their employees very well,” and stressed that “in terms of then silencing me, zero. There’s been nothing.” The move over to Spotify has certainly brought about some dissatisfaction among fans of the show, though precisely how much impact this will have on his audience numbers remains to be seen.

Joe Rogan explains why Tyson Fury was able to dominate Deontay Wilder – Dexerto
Joe Rogan explains why Tyson Fury was able to dominate Deontay Wilder Joe Rogan, YouTube / Tyson Fury, InstagramJoe Rogan has been breaking down Tyson Fury’s heroic boxing victory against Deontay Wilder, claiming that a total change in approach resulted in him snatching away the American’s WBC heavyweight title. The host of the Joe Rogan Experience is no stranger to figthing sports, either, working for the UFC in a color commentator capacity and scooping a number of MMA Personality of the Year awards during his time with the company. During a podcast on February 25, where he was joined by comedian Owen Smith, the pair took some time to break down one of the most highly anticipated rematches that took place in Las Vegas’ Grand Garden Arena just three days previous – where Tyson Fury handed Deontay Wilder the first loss of his professional career. Their first encounter inside a boxing ring came in December 2018, which ended in a controversial split draw decision, but Fury managed to put his opponent to the sword in the second showing – winning in the seventh round as his opponent’s corner threw the towel in. The victory for the British world champion might have been a surprise for many fans in North America, given that many opponents over the years have fell at the mercy of Deontay’s “eraser” of a right hand, but Rogan enjoyed the attention to detail he saw from the victor. During his podcast with Smith, he said: “If you look at the movement he does, for somebody as big as him, it’s really kind of crazy. It’s not that he couldn’t step forward and smash people, knock people out, but he knows the sweet science. Then, he realized for this fight he had to fight a different way.” Those who have watched Fury in the past, particularly against Wladimir Klitschko and Wilder, will know that he’s very much comfortable sitting tight, allowing his opponent to be the aggressor, and tactically harm his opponent when their guard comes down. However, Rogan believes a change of approach this time – even by shifting coaches to SugarHill Steward – gave Fury the edge. He continued: “Tyson Fury went with a Kronk (Gym) trainer for this. He was dead serious, he was going for seek and destroy, he told everybody that’s what he was going to do too. But, nobody believed him, everybody thought it was a hustle. “Him saying: ‘I’m going to knock out Deontay Wilder. I am going to come after him, knock him out after two rounds.’ Everybody was like you’re out of your f**king mind. Even Deontay was like: ‘you don’t believe a word you’re saying. You’re just talking. You’re not going to try to knock me out…’ and that’s exactly what he did.” Rogan went on to explain that in the 12th round of the original contest, where Fury was knocked down by the Bronze Bomber, he realized after jumping up and being aggressive for the remainder of the match was a much more effective strategy. The next time they faced off, as seen by fans all around the world, Tyson came out on top by doing just that.

Joe Rogan fans concerned by his “dangerous” new workout routine – Dexerto
Joe Rogan fans concerned by his “dangerous” new workout routine Facebook: Joe RoganJoe Rogan fans have expressed their concern with the podcaster’s newest routine that involves him cold-shocking his body after swapping the sauna for a cold dip. While the Joe Rogan podcast often dives into some of the wildest and wackiest stories around, it’s the podcaster’s social media feeds that sometimes raise more eyebrows for fans. He’s set the internet alight by just sitting in an ice bath for 20 minutes, shared some crazy fan tattoos of his own face, and dove into the gruesome side of some of his experimental diet plans. Well, now, he’s shared his newest workout routine which involves Rogan spending 20 minutes in a sauna, then two minutes in the cold, before jumping back into the sauna. However, some fans are concerned. The UFC commentator shared his new routine on November 11, and had high praise for it. “When I’m heating back up in the sauna again, and I have my eyes closed it’s like I’m on a wild roller coaster. I feel like I’m flying,” Joe said. Rogan also noted that while it provides a natural high, some doubt creeps in as well. “There’s also the very real thought while it’s happening where I’m like, “you know, there’s a strong possibility that this is bad for you,” he added. While some commenters were quick to back the methods, some weren’t so sure. “This man will die in a sauna,” commented one fan. “That’s your blood pressure and it’s definitely dangerous,” added another. “It’s all fun and games until randomly one day you faint with no one around.” View this post on Instagram Some respondents noted that what he’s doing is a regular thing in Nordic countries, especially Finland, where you cold shock your body with the immediate reduction in temperature from leaving the sauna. The method does carry some health concerns around breathing and blood circulation according to doctors, but it can also have its benefits in terms of helping with pain and aches. Though, it doesn’t look like Joe will be stopping anytime soon.

Joe Rogan explains why TikTok in China is ‘better’ than the US – Dexerto
Joe Rogan explains why TikTok in China is ‘better’ than the US YouTube: Joe RoganJoe Rogan is convinced Douyin, the Chinese version of TikTok, is ‘better’ than the US version, explaining its community and restrictions “encourage achievement” compared to the Western app. Rogan isn’t the biggest fan of social media. In January 2021, the podcast host and comedian admitted he’s worried about censorship, explaining that it “sets a precedent where the people in power can decide that something is wrong”. A year earlier, in January 2020, he called out TikTok specifically for being a “cyber threat.” However, he believes that the Chinese version of the app, and the way it’s used, is much ‘better’ than its US counterpart. “The way China is handling it is so different than America,” said Rogan. “China’s version of TikTok celebrates academic achievements and athletic achievements. It’s all science projects. All these different fascinating things.” What makes it even more impressive, in his view, is the fact that it has a ‘youth mode.’ It’s a feature that limits people under 14 from using the app for more than 40 minutes per day, and the shut-off time is 10pm. He believes this is a good thing. “They’re trying to encourage achievement, right? They’re doing all these things with like this idea of engineering a society of more accomplished, more successful people.” In contrast, he lamented over how it’s used in the United States. “What are we doing on TikTok?” he scoffed. “Kids are f**king dancing. They’re screaming about veganism and how blue their hair is. It’s wild.” Rogan isn’t a fan of the way TikTok is used in the US. So, he’s probably out of the loop when it comes to who the most followed stars are. However, he’s far more enthusiastic about YouTube. He praised MrBeast for having a “great show” and claimed that his approach to content creation, which revolves around high-stakes challenges and philanthropy, is “smart”.

Joe Rogan explains why the world is getting a “wake-up call” – Dexerto
Joe Rogan explains why the world is getting a “wake-up call” Joe Rogan (YouTube) / FlickrPopular podcast host Joe Rogan delved into why the world is going through a “wake-up call” amid the ongoing global crisis, when talking with Joey Diaz during an episode of the JRE. With entire countries entering lockdown, Rogan has delved into why people should value their health above all (both now and moving forward). Amid discussing everything from current affairs to a world with stand-up comedy, both Rogan and Diaz touched on the implications of the ongoing global health threat during Episode 1448 of the Joe Rogan Experience. Joe Rogan on “greed” After expert epidemiologist, Michael Osterholm, provided an eye-opening prediction on fatality rates, Rogan’s interest has seemingly spiked, as he continues to broach the topic with his podcast’s guests. During the podcast, Rogan’s fellow stand-up comedian hypothesized that the current health situation is acting as a “reset button” for society. “For me this is like a higher power letting us know… We just got greedy, man — the greed got too much.” Joe agreed with Diaz’ point relating to the fact that the human race got “overzealous,” before going on to explain how the majority of society isn’t “humbled enough” to the threats of nature, when specifically referring to California residents. The world is getting a wake-up call… “I think this is a wake-up call for the whole country – the whole world — and we’re vulnerable,” Rogan admitted. “It’s also a wake-up call – and can’t say this to enough people – take care of your health, please. It is the one defense for this, that seems to be agreed upon by almost everyone.” Rogan then went on to outline the plethora of actions people can take to bolster their immune system, from adopting basic regimes to utilizing vitamin-based supplements. “Your immune system is something that you can work on. You know, you can work on it by cleaning up your diet; you can work on it with regular exercise; you can work on it with regular sleep.” As a take-home message, the YouTuber then stated: “You can use this as like: ‘Okay, I’m alive, now this is a wake-up call, I’m so glad this didn’t happen to me (I didn’t get wrecked by this) — I’m going to get my life in order’… And this is a good time to get your health in-line.” Despite Rogan’s doubts regarding America’s strategy to tackle the global crisis, the podcast host appears hopeful that people won’t take for granted what they once did, by valuing their only known defense mechanism — which starts with improving their health.

Joe Rogan explains why some of the “worst movies” are actually so good – Dexerto
Joe Rogan explains why some of the “worst movies” are actually so good Joe Rogan / UnsplashPopular stand-up comedians Joe Rogan and Kurt Metzger have explained why some of the “worst movies” ever can actually be good to watch during his April 23 podcast. Outside of his roles as UFC commentator and professional stand-up comedian, Joe Rogan has built a massive audience on his popular podcast, the Joe Rogan Experience. During his latest episode of the hit show alongside fellow comic Kurt Metzger, Rogan explained why film critics and reviews don’t accurately portray how enjoyable a movie might be to watch. The podcast host explained that many of the worst movies can actually be quite entertaining when they are not being judged by certain criteria. “Some of the best things are bad things that are good by accident,” Joe explained, before bringing up the 2003 romantic drama, The Room, as a prime example. “To make a thing that is watchably bad, that is a beautiful thing that can rarely happen,” Metzger added before they looked at the film’s reviews. While Tommy Wiseau’s The Room did not impress critics, with some media outlets even labeling it as one of the “worst movies ever”, Rogan explained that it had a lot to do with expectations surrounding it before its release. “But it’s amazing because it’s real. It’s the worst movie because they’re trying to make a good movie, it’s not the worst movie to watch,” he explained. Metzger followed up claiming that despite what it may have lacked in execution, movies such as The Room often provide a unique entertainment factor that is worth experiencing. “When they say worst, it’s watchable but it’s not boring, I think it’s real lightning in a bottle. It’s the best [film] to go to a theater of people with, because of people shouting at the screen,” he claimed, highlighting that seeing others react to a movie’s most ridiculous moments can be hilarious by itself. While the pair’s claims are unlikely to hold true for many of the poorly-rated flicks, some titles such as The Room could actually be worth the watch.

Joe Rogan explains why South Park is the best show ever – Dexerto
Joe Rogan explains why South Park is the best show ever Joe Rogan has weighed in on his verdict for the best TV show ever, and moving past the usual suspects like Breaking Bad or The Sopranos, his pick of comedy cartoon South Park comes with good reason. Perhaps best known now as a podcast host, Rogan commands an audience of millions with his ‘Joe Rogan Experience’ show, where he invites guests from nearly every field, from paleontologists to politicians to bodybuilders. But, while viewers certainly tune in to hear the insights of his guests, Rogan himself is also a major draw, with his own opinions and world view intriguing to many. On episode 1400 of his podcast, Rogan was joined by comedian and writer Tony Hinchcliffe, who is one of the writers behind Comedy Central’s Roast series, and known for his “insult comedy” and edgy humor. While discussing the TV industry which Hinchcliffe is a part of, the conversation segued towards what Joe Rogan believes to be the best show of all time: South Park. “That show, one of the greatest entertainment franchises,” the host starts, “whether it’s sports, music, films, greatest franchise ever, South Park. […] That’s the best show ever.” Topic starts at 1:45. “They’ve done everything,” Rogan explains. “They’ve been around forever, they put together a play, a musical, they put together films. Team America: World Police is still, to this day, one of my all-time favorite comedies. And then before that, the South Park movie.” After watching a number of their favorite moments from the show together, Joe and Tony both agreed about the necessity of a show like South Park, despite its controversy. He also complimented Comedy Central, the television network that broadcasts the series, for leaving the producers of the show “alone”. “It’s so important for comedy to have a show like that out there, that just has no boundaries. Comedy Central is smart enough, with all the silliness that they’ve been accused of, they’re smart enough to leave those guys the f**k alone,” Rogan concluded. Comedy Central is the network that Hinchcliffe works with to produce the Roast series. It is believed the network faced pressure when South Park was banned from China, but still backed the show’s mock apology in response.

Joe Rogan explains why Quentin Tarantino is a “wizard” – Dexerto
Joe Rogan explains why Quentin Tarantino is a “wizard” Joe Rogan (YouTube) / Gage Skidmore (Wikimedia Commons)Popular podcast host Joe Rogan has hailed Quentin Tarantino as a “wizard” for his portrayal of violence in movies, giving him “grandfather” status while chatting on the JRE with Suzanne Santo. Quentin Tarantino is dubbed to be one of the greatest filmmakers of all time. With a lengthy list of accolades under his belt, the 56-year-old has supposedly retired from directing following his tenth film. And it is his tenth (and final) movie that had Rogan singing his praises during Episode 1435 of the Joe Rogan Experience. With a reel of iconic films to his name, Rogan touched on how Tarantino’s unique angle and style of filmmaking gives him “grandfather” status while chatting with Santo. “Did you see that Quentin Tarantino movie?” Rogan asked. “I did, it was incredible,” Santo replied, before delving into how the plot was “chilling” with particular reference to the characters portrayed throughout. “Those people that kill those folks – you know how the story turned out,” the podcast host explained before admitting that the happier ending was “way better” than real-life events that actually unfolded — for obvious reasons… “Tarantino… He’s a wizard!” Rogan conceded. “He’s the last guy allowed to make a movie like that. When I said that the violence was shocking, I don’t mean that it was bad — I’m not saying that.” Joe then cited particular reference to a scene where a man resorts to violence with a woman in the film, which he argued was “wild” but acceptable under the premise that Tarantino is “grandfathered in.” And in terms of Rogan’s rationale, he claimed that “everybody has always known him for having the wildest, craziest f**king scenes” from Pulp Fiction onwards in his career. Santo agreed and simply stated that “it’s kind of to be expected,” while Rogan then went on to recall the iconic scene from Pulp Fiction where Uma Thurman is stabbed in the heart with a dose of adrenaline by John Travolta. Rogan then went on to state that “no one goes deeper than Tarantino” before praising him once more. “The thing is, he can still do a super, ultra-violent movie and people consider it a great art. And I think that’s getting harder and harder to do.” Santo interjected and said: “If anything, he’s got a formula that continues to work. Yeah, I want to see bad guys get the sh*t kicked out of them — it’s justice!” The pair evidently showed plenty of admiration for the legendary filmmaker’s work, and perhaps Rogan’s label of Tarantino being a “wizard” will stick? He certainly is the warlock of violence in movies.

Joe Rogan explains why social media hate doesn’t affect him anymore – Dexerto
Joe Rogan explains why social media hate doesn’t affect him anymore Spotify/Joe RoganPodcast giant Joe Rogan has explained why he’s no longer bothered by social media hate despite it making him feel “helpless” in the early days. While he may have the biggest and most successful podcast in the world, Joe Rogan has an equal amount of critics as well – and has repeatedly come under fire for comments made on his JRE shows. Like many others, the UFC commentator maintains a steady social media presence across Twitter and Instagram, routinely posting on the latter. So, it’s unsurprising to see his comments section filled up with equal amounts of support and trolls. Given he has such a huge reach these days, you might expect that some of that hate to outweigh the support and become a negative. Though, according to Rogan, he’s pretty unbothered by it. During episode 1836 of the JRE Podcast, Rogan had writer Ryan Holiday on the show, with the pair talking about building up resilience and stoicism in quite some detail. That led Rogan to use the example of social media, as he explained he’s now unbothered by the negative replies. “Me personally, I have something like 15 million Instagram followers and nine million Twitter followers – it’s a lot of people. And if I absorb all of their opinions, it is unmanageable,” he said. “But, I’m so accustomed to people talking s**t about me that I can read someone being really mean about me and I just go ‘ha.’ Like, it doesn’t get me anymore, but it used to get me.” Timestamp of 42:00 Rogan noted that in the early days of social media, the hate did make him “feel helpless” but he’s learned to deal with it, given an angry reaction is what many people are after. “I think there is a certain amount of resilience that you can build from social media,” he added. “It’s just like snake venom. Take a little bit of it and you develop a tolerance, but if you get too much of it, it’s gonna f**king kill you.”

Joe Rogan explains why LA shutdown could be a disaster – Dexerto
Joe Rogan explains why LA shutdown could be a disaster JRE / Wikimedia CommonsLos Angeles is now effectively in lockdown, alongside a number of other US cities, and Joe Rogan thinks that given the population and levels of poverty, it could spell disaster for many residents. With almost 40 million people in the state of California, Rogan believes that the strains on both individuals and institutions could be massive, especially if the global health situation continues to worsen. Always discussing current affairs on his massively popular Joe Rogan Experience podcast, the UFC commentator weighed in on the ongoing difficulties facing the country, alongside his guest, retired Navy SEAL Andy Stumpf. “My concern is that these decisions are being made by politicians and that they want to do this so they can be re-elected. They don’t want people to be upset at them for not acting,” Rogan starts. He continues, that while he recognizes the importance of the steps being taken, there is a lack of clarity on how the situation will eventually be resolved. Rogan was particularly concerned for the “staggering” number of people who will be left in debt. “The amount of people who live check-to-check, it’s crazy, it’s like half of America […] so already, most Americans are f**ked, just with this dip, and they’re talking about extending this [shutdown] until April 19.” “I just don’t know if they have a plan,” Rogan continued, “how do you help those folks?” Stumpf explained that in his home state of Montana, he has been quite impressed by how the school system has dealt with the crisis. But this did little to put Rogan’s mind at ease, because Montana is a large state, but only has a population of just over a million, compared to California’s 40. “California is 40 million f**king people, in this one spot, it’s so preposterous, and there’s so much poverty,” Rogan concludes. “There are so many people who are barely hanging on as it is, and now they’re off the cliff and they don’t know what to do. There’s no real protection to stop them being evicted, I don’t believe. ” Stumpf hopes that the nation will buy into a “social contract”, focusing on the wellbeing of all, rather than each individual looking out for themselves. But Rogan is concerned that as a nation, the US has no experience with a crisis causing a shutdown for so long.

Joe Rogan explains why “nerd” isn’t an insult – Dexerto
Joe Rogan explains why “nerd” isn’t an insult JRE Clips, YouTubeUFC commentator Joe Rogan revealed why he thinks “nerd” is no longer used as an insult during his latest podcast with Lex Fridman. Joe Rogan has built a massive following from his popular podcast, the Joe Rogan Experience, where he covers a wide range of interesting topics. During his April 8 episode alongside MIT research scientist, Lex Fridman, the pair found themselves in a rather unusual debate, discussing if “nerd” is still used as an insult in modern times. After watching a short clip of Bill Gates making a jump over a chair during his show, the podcast host remarked that it was “a pretty good jump for a nerd,” which sparked the debate between himself and Fridman. Lex revealed his take on the term, expressing that he hated the use of it and viewed it as a saying that would often be used to describe someone in a negative manner, before asking, “you don’t think of a nerd as an ideal of a man?” Joe, on the other hand, believed that the days of “nerd” being used as an insult had passed, and explained that he would use the word to describe someone who had invested a lot of energy into a particular subject. “There’s nothing wrong with nerds, no I disagree, like I’m a nerd about a lot of things,” he replied, pointing towards “dork” as the term that is rarely used in a positive light, instead. “It’s very rare that dork is positive, whereas nerd is often positive. Nerd is like a fun way about saying someone is really smart about a certain thing,” he explained. Joe later admitted that he understood where Lex was coming from, and added that the way to dismantle the stereotype would be to introduce a positive culture of celebrating those who invest their life in science. “I don’t think the way around that is to eliminate words or even stop using words, I think the way around it is just to appreciate people that are really great at science. The words don’t really matter, it’s perceptions that matter and I don’t think science has a bad perception, it just doesn’t have a glamorous enough perception,” Joe added. One of the main issues the pair highlighted before moving on was the fact that “nerds” would often play a part in worsening the perception by deciding against activities that didn’t fit the stereotype, such as working out or becoming fight fans. Although the term “nerd” has not always been associated with positivity, many would claim that the perception has changed in recent years particularly with tech stars such as Elon Musk inspiring many to appreciate the work of those in similar fields.

Joe Rogan explains why Jake Paul’s knockout power is “real” Instagram: Jake Paul/Spotify: Joe RoganIn his latest podcast with Action Bronson, Joe Rogan goes into why he believes people shouldn’t “downplay” Jake Paul’s boxing ability and that he has “real” knockout power. Jake’s Paul’s exhibition boxing match against Ben Askren ended up being one of the most highly-anticipated fights of the year. Viewers expected to see a long-fought bout that concluded with a decision based on points. However, Paul subverted expectations by knocking out Askren in the first round with a deadly right hand. The fight has spurred a lot of discussion around whether Paul’s punches hold any weight, or if he just landed a lucky shot. Well, Joe Rogan has weighed in on the debate, making it very clear he believes Jake possesses “real” power. Joe Rogan says Jake Paul has real knockout power In his recent podcast with Action Bronson, Joe Rogan discussed the fight between Ben Askren and Jake Paul. During the conversation, he voiced his opinion that Paul has power and isn’t an opponent that should be underestimated. “People were trying to downplay who he is and what he does, listen man, I know when I see a guy who can punch,” he said. The podcast host even sent a message to the fight fans who are writing off Paul’s ability in the ring, claiming he’s not someone you’d want to mess with. It’s obvious Rogan has been convinced by Paul’s performances and believes he’s a true threat. “That guy can f**king crack, you do not wanna get hit by him, he can f**k people up, that’s real, you can hate on him all you want but you better recognize that he can f**k people up for real.” Topic starts at 159:28 (-15:31) Rogan has made his stance very clear on the debate surrounding Paul’s punching power and his talent in the ring. Now, it’s just a waiting game until the internet star’s next fight which is yet to be announced or scheduled. A few fighters have already put their hands up for the bout, so it’ll be interesting to see if Paul takes on a boxer, celebrity, or another MMA fighter.

Joe Rogan explains why Johnny Depp vs Amber Heard ruling was a “good” thing – Dexerto
Joe Rogan explains why Johnny Depp vs Amber Heard ruling was a “good” thing YouTube: FLAGRANT CLIPS / Vanity Fair / The Graham Norton ShowPodcast host and comedian Joe Rogan has given his take on the Depp vs Heard ruling, calling the verdict a good thing for those “who believe in the truth.” The Johnny Depp vs Amber Heard defamation hearing reached a verdict well over a week ago… but it’s still the talk of the town all over social media. Although the jury found that both parties had defamed each other, Depp has walked away as the publicly-crowned victor. He is set to be awarded $15 million in compensatory and punitive damages, while Heard is ordered to be awarded $2 million. Although Heard is poised to countersue her ex-spouse, many netizens are praising the trial’s results — including podcast host, comedian, and UFC color commentator Joe Rogan. During an episode of the Flagrant 2 podcast with fellow comedian Andrew Schulz, Rogan hailed the verdict as a win for people who want “the truth.” “I think [the verdict] is probably good for all people who believe in the truth,” he explained. “The problem is this boys versus girls narrative that I think we all get into in these things.” “There’s a lot of guys who wanted a guy to win one of these things, you know? But it’s just not good to not be honest. If you are doing that, you’re doing it to try and hurt someone.” “If you’re purposefully changing reality, you’re lying about what happened just to try to hurt somebody, you’re doing a f**ked up thing,” he continued. “Because you’re pretending you’re a victim. It’s not as simple as you’re just lying.” Rogan’s take on the situation follows a huge outpouring of public support toward Depp, who has received over 11 million followers on TikTok just days after creating his account and sending a thankful message to his fans in his first-ever video on the platform.

Joe Rogan explains why Jake Paul has big advantage in Ben Askren boxing fight – Dexerto
Joe Rogan explains why Jake Paul has big advantage in Ben Askren boxing fight YouTube: JRE Podcast/Instagram: Jake PaulUFC commentator and podcaster Joe Rogan has weighed in on the Jake Paul vs Ben Askren matchup, echoing the thoughts of others that Askren might struggle against the YouTube star. After a number of rumors, as well as calling out Conor McGregor, it was confirmed on January .. that Jake Paul would be stepping into a boxing ring for the fourth time and squaring off against former Olympian Ben Askren. The announcement immediately raised eyebrows given that, despite his MMA championship-winning background, Askren has never been known for his striking, and a move into boxing is a strange one for him. Plenty of pundits have already started to weigh in with their initial thoughts, and that includes Joe Rogan and Brendan Schaub, who dove into the topic of the fight during episode 1603 of the Joe Rogan Experience podcast. Rogan and Schaub discussed the backgrounds of both fighters, and how all the early talk has been that Jake will get a pretty clean, knockout win. Schaub referenced Askren’s Olympian mentality, and how he’ll use that in the fight, but Rogan was more skeptical about his boxing ability. Read More: Can Jake Paul beat Ben Askren? – “One thing I don’t believe is that Ben Askren would knock out Nate Robinson in the same Jake Paul did. He might beat him,” Joe said. “Ben is not an explosive guy. He’s very good at utilizing his superior wrestling knowledge, positions, and techniques. He’s strong as f**k, he knows how to get ahold of guys, and drag them to the ground. He won’t be able to do that. His main thing will be out.” While Schaub noted that, when it comes to tie-ups, Askren might be able to wear the YouTuber out and drag him deep into the fight, Rogan was more glowing of Jake’s skills of getting out with a win. “You watch him hit pads, watch him hit bags, watch him spar – he’s got good timing, he’s got very good hand speed, his technique is excellent,” he added. He’s got very good striking technique.” Topic begins at 1:03:00 As for when it comes to fight night, the pair both admitted that they’ll be watching, and won’t be turning away like others. “I’m going to watch,” Joe continued. “Oh, take my f**king money dude. It’s the perfect opponent for Jake,” said Schaub. The result will have major implications for both fighters, but we can expect a breakdown from Rogan after the April 17 bout. Who knows how he’ll react.

Joe Rogan explains why Jake Paul might never box active UFC fighters – Dexerto
Joe Rogan explains why Jake Paul might never box active UFC fighters Spotify: Joe Rogan/Instagram: Jake PaulJoe Rogan isn’t sure if Jake Paul will ever step into the ring with a current UFC fighter as he doubts Dana White would ever let it happen. When Jake Paul made his first steps into the boxing world, he was focusing on settling beefs with other YouTubers and social media stars. However, as he’s racked up wins, that’s changed. In his last three fights, Jake has defeated two former UFC fighters – Ben Askren and Tyron Woodley – and has gotten into a war of words with Dana White, Conor McGregor, and others. That’s led to plenty of speculation about him potentially fighting current UFC fighters, but in the boxing ring, not the Octagon. However, despite all the interest, Joe Rogan believes that might never happen. The UFC commentator was chatting it up with Snoop Dogg on his Joe Rogan Experience podcast when Snoop asked if Joe had an idea for a UFC fighter that could “handle” Jake Paul in the future. “I don’t know. For them to get free from a UFC contract that they currently have, I don’t think Dana White is going to do that,” the podcaster and TV host responded. “I don’t know. Maybe if they thought they could make a lot of money and there was someone who was a current UFC fighter, and they could arrange it, maybe they could make some sort of joint promotion. But, I just don’t see the UFC doing that.” Joe did praise the YouTuber for what he’s been able to do in the boxing world, though. “They don’t have to (fight a UFC fighter),” he added. “Jake Paul is killing it in boxing, it’s brilliant s**t.” While most of the fight challenges have come from Jake’s side, there are some UFC fighters who have they’ll take on the YouTube star. Highly-ranked middleweight Derek Brunson teased taking Jake on as a “tune-up” bout, but who knows if anything will ever happen between the two parties.

Joe Rogan explains why he’s “scared” of the Coronavirus – Dexerto
Joe Rogan explains why he’s “scared” of the Coronavirus YouTube: PowerfulJREPopular podcast host Joe Rogan explained his thoughts on the Coronavirus and how it’s being handled, revealing why he’s genuinely scared of it. Joe Rogan is a well-known UFC commentator who doubles as arguably the most successful podcast hosts, where he discusses popular and trending topics with a variety of guests. In his February 12 episode, he spoke about the growing Coronavirus outbreak, explaining how he feels about the way it’s being handled, and why exactly he is scared of it. Overall, Joe is concerned with the whole situation and criticized the way it’s being handled by the Chinese government. “Did you see that video of China where they’re spraying disinfectant in the street… its f**king bonkers, they’re driving in the street spraying everything… it’s crazy.” He began, before going more in-depth about the virus. “We were talking with these infectious disease exports… and [they said] these viruses make themselves, happen all the time, and we can barely keep up with them. All it takes is one giant one [to do some harm].” Finally, he went into his personal feelings about the Coronavirus and he did not seem to have high hopes. “I’m not feeling good about it, it scares me… these things can absolutely wipe out millions and millions of people before we can get a handle on it.” So far the Coronavirus has mostly spread throughout China and the government claim they are keeping a handle on it. Over 60,000 cases have reportedly been confirmed, with the vast majority of them being in China, a country with a population of over 1.3 billion. Some airlines have even stopped direct flights to China as the country continues to battle the virus, although, there have not been any indications that it could be as bad Joe Rogan fears.

Joe Rogan explains why he’s worried about social media censorship – Dexerto
Joe Rogan explains why he’s worried about social media censorship YouTube/Joe RoganPopular podcast host Joe Rogan delved into the hot topic of internet censorship in his JRE podcast, and revealed why he’s worried about the power some social media companies have. Censorship has been at the forefront of discussion lately, as the US President was suspended from Twitter, Facebook and other sites. While some people applauded the decisions made by these companies, Joe Rogan doesn’t share their optimism. “Authoritarianism in this country is like… there’s a lot of people that like it because it silences their opponents,” he said while speaking to his guest, Yannis Pappas. The former Fear Factor host and UFC commentator brought up rival social media applications being shut down or taken off Google and Apple’s stores for allegedly “spreading hate.” “What percentage is spreading hate? What are the numbers? Is this wise that we shut down all discourse that you disagree with?” he rhetorically asked. “Like, it’s not good if someone gets on there and they’re talking about violence against individuals or they’re spreading racist ideas or whatever the f**k they’re doing that disturbs people. You’re right. That’s not good.” So, even though Rogan agreed that some speech is problematic, he doesn’t feel censorship is the right solution and it sets a “weird” precedent. “It sets a precedent where the people that are in power can decide that something is ‘wrong speak,’ something is bad and that you can just eliminate it completely,” he added. “And then when things like that happen, they keep going. They don’t just stop at things that we can all agree are terrible. They go to things that maybe you don’t think are terrible, but other people do. And then they keep going further.” Preventing censorship has been quite the big deal for Joe Rogan, especially once the host decided to move the JRE show to Spotify. Back when the host first announced the move, he made clear to fans that the show would remain “exactly the same” and that Spotify wouldn’t have any creative control – something many of Rogan’s supporters were worried about.

Joe Rogan explains why he’d reject any boxing or MMA fight offers – Dexerto
Joe Rogan explains why he’d reject any boxing or MMA fight offers Spotify/Joe RoganJoe Rogan has explained why he couldn’t be tempted into taking an exhibition fight even though people older than him are stepping back into the boxing ring. For years, boxing and martial arts have been used by influencers and celebrities as a way to try and prove themselves as an athlete. Though, if you’re not Jake Paul, it usually doesn’t go to plan. Seeing as he’s got a pretty big background in Taekwondo and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and has a massive fanbase, Joe Rogan has regularly popped up as a name that some people want to see step into the ring for an exhibition fight. Some fans even want to see him take on Jake Paul inside the Octagon. While Rogan has praised the exhibition events – regularly talking up Mike Tyson’s return to the ring – he’s got no interest in taking part himself, and the reason why is pretty simple. The UFC commentator was speaking with Ali Siddiq on episode 1825 of the Joe Rogan Experience when the pair touched on the topic of Floyd Mayweather’s recent exhibition with Don Moore. After praising how entertaining the whole thing was, Siddiq asked Rogan if he had any interest in doing something similar, but the podcast host quickly shut it down. “No! I’m too banged up and I’m too old. I’m not interested anymore,” Rogan said before his guest said he’d have an advantage based on muscle memory alone. “Yeah, probably… I could f**k some people up but I’m not interested,” he concluded. Timestamp of 1:51 Rogan has, in the past, spoken about competing in grappling events, but they’re a whole different beast to strapping on the gloves and getting into the ring or the Octagon. While his competitive side might still have that fire, don’t expect him on a stacked boxing card with Jake Paul anytime soon, sadly.

Joe Rogan explains why he’s “100% convinced” aliens are among us – Dexerto
Joe Rogan explains why he’s “100% convinced” aliens are among us YouTube: Joe Rogan Experience / US Navy, Department of DefensePodcaster Joe Rogan has revealed the fascinating stories that took confidence of his belief in extraterrestrial life on Earth from 60% to 100%, in episode #1534 of the Joe Rogan Experience with comedian Ron White. Since Joe moved his podcast studio from hectic LA to Texas for a fresh start, the studio design of the classic brick walls and purple curtains has gone through a dramatic transformation. The brand new Texas studio boasts some interesting red lighting, a tunnel-like shape, and some protruding black and red panels among other ornaments that give the new location a slightly futuristic feel. It seems only fitting that the conversation about aliens would arise with the background looking like it had come straight out of a sci-fi movie. He began by broaching the bizarre topic with “when will the aliens land? I’ve been thinking the aliens are coming.” “I’m convinced, I’m 100% convinced,” he said about the idea that aliens are “dancing among us,” but he “used to be 60%.” He continued by revealing that he “talked to people that have seen them. I talked to this one guy who was a pilot,” regarding his conversation with a man named Commander Fravor. “He encountered this thing that they called the Tic-Tac UFO. This is an object that they tracked on radar that went from 60,000 feet to one foot above sea level in less than a second.” The 2004 Tic-Tac UFO was named as such due to it’s white, round shape that resembled the mint of the same name. This particular sighting was actually recorded by the US Navy, with the authenticity of the tape confirmed by the Pentagon in 2019. Officials reportedly still do not know what the object was. He described the experience of physicist Bob Lazar who worked on back-engineering a craft found by the government, saying he “right away knew that this was no technology that we had currently available.” The propulsion system Bob described in a documentary bore striking similarities to the system of the Tic-Tac UFO in 2004. Bob even gave one of his “first interviews he’s given in a long f**king time” to Joe in a podcast from 2019, so he has first hand experience meeting several individuals that have brushed up with other-wordly technology. While Joe joked that his belief in aliens had shot back down to 50% after their discussion, he put that down to the fact that he’s “always worried about things I wanna believe. If I wanna believe it I’m always skeptical.” Perhaps this renewed discussion about UFO sightings and US government secrets on the podcast will cause more guests with alien-related experience to flock to Texas to share their stories with Joe.

Joe Rogan explains why he won’t do Hot Ones talk show – Dexerto
Joe Rogan explains why he won’t do Hot Ones talk show Joe Rogan has explained why he won’t do First We Feast’s infamous Hot Ones talk show during an episode of The Joe Rogan Experience. Hot Ones is a unique talk show that sees host Sean Evans joined by all manners of celebrity for an interview unlike any other. On the show, Sean interviews his guests while they eat chicken wings (or cauliflower wings for the non-meat eaters), with the hot sauce on the wings getting progressively spicier and harder to deal with as the show goes on. Sean has had international stars such as TV chef Gordon Ramsay, actor/comedian Kevin Hart and multi-platinum recording artist Post Malone sat across the table from him, but Joe Rogan has confirmed that he would not be willing to do it. “That’s not a good way to talk, man,” Rogan said. “Snot’s coming out of your nose and you’re crying, that’s not a good place to talk.” After his co-host, Brendan Schaub, suggests it would be fun to see him on there, Rogan continued: “I know, but why are you asking people personal questions when they’re crying?” Though Rogan seemed to be somewhat serious in his reluctance to partake, he was laughing about it and clearly wasn’t too upset by the idea of asking questions while consuming hot sauce. He does confirm, though, that he has some decent experience with hot wings, referring to a place in Boston that sold ‘suicide’ hot wings – assuming because they were so spicy. So, it can’t be said that Rogan is scared of the premise of it, unlike other celebrities might have been in the past. Whether he wants to or not, Rogan would likely be a brilliant Hot Ones guest, with countless stories to tell and a great sense of humor that could easily carry the show to its end. Here’s to hoping Evans can pull some strings. He’s already had top internet personalities such as Ethan ‘H3H3’ Klein and Casey Neistat on the show, and Rogan would be a great addition.

Joe Rogan explains why he thinks Disney & ESPN shut down UFC 249 – Dexerto
Joe Rogan explains why he thinks Disney & ESPN shut down UFC 249 Joe Rogan/UFCPopular podcast host Joe Rogan explains why he believes top Disney and ESPN executives called on Dana White to shut down UFC 249 on April 18. UFC 249 was highly anticipated by many fight fans as top lightweight stars Khabib Nurmagomedov and Tony Ferguson were finally set to clash after multiple failed attempts to schedule the bout in recent years. MMA fans were forced to wait a little bit longer, however, after Khabib announced that he would be unwilling to take part due to the current global health crisis and pulled out of the fight. Despite best efforts from promoter Dana White to keep the card somewhat intact and deliver an event for those stuck at home, it was reported by Ariel Helwani that executives from broadcasters, Disney and ESPN, had completely pulled the plug on UFC 249 only nine days out from the card. UFC commentator Joe Rogan reacted to the news live while recording a podcast alongside former heavyweight contender Brendan Schaub, and began to speculate about their reasoning behind the sudden cancellation. “Well I think they probably made a risk assessment and then they made a calculation about the negative aspects of going against government regulations,” he explained, pointing out that the event was set to be held on tribal lands, that were not bound by the same rules, after the lockdown came into effect. Rogan, who was also scheduled to attend the fight, expressed his disappointment after Disney and ESPN’s decision but explained that much of the concern around the event stemmed from the lack of time to set up the correct safety measures. “Well that saves me a lot of thinking,” Rogan said jokingly. “Damn, I was 75% ready to go, the only thing that worried me was if I definitely could get tested and have to know the results before I come back.” “As long as the right precautions are in place if this was any other disease and we understood it better I would be way more confident,” he admitted, discussing the number of unknown variables surrounding the current worldwide event. Although UFC 249 and all future events were indefinitely postponed, Joe Rogan expressed that he had massive respect for Dana White for trying to provide entertainment in this difficult time, even calling him a “mad man” for trying to bypass government regulations to make it happen.

Joe Rogan explains why he rarely uses “poisoned” Twitter – Dexerto
Joe Rogan explains why he rarely uses “poisoned” Twitter Spotify: Joe Rogan/TwitterPodcast giant Joe Rogan pops up on Twitter from time to time, and he’s got one specific use for the platform these days as he thinks it has been “poisoned” over the years. While he has got his own massive outlet with the Joe Rogan Experience Podcast, Joe Rogan maintains a presence on main of the most popular social media platforms out there. The UFC commentator’s Instagram posts regularly bemuse fans and spark plenty of conversation as he uploads some weird and wacky photos. When it comes to Twitter, though, he uses that more to advertise his comedy gigs and share news articles. Even though he was pretty active on Twitter when he first signed up, Rogan has taken a step back from it, and it has been a while since he posted something other than advertising one of his shows. Though, that doesn’t mean he isn’t keeping an eye on things. Joe Rogan reveals his sole reason for using Twitter During episode 1855 of the JRE Podcast, Rogan was speaking with Substack creator Chris Best when the pair came on to the topic of Twitter and discussed its success over the last few years as the podcast host gave an insight into his scrolling habits. “I go on Twitter once a day, maybe twice a day, just to see what kind of s**t the monkeys are throwing at each other. It seems like a mental institution sometimes,” Rogan said. “I see people arguing over things and things are trending that have zero impact on my life. I don’t understand why people are putting so much attention to it, but it seems like the recreational outrage that comes about because of Twitter is one of the most addictive things I’ve ever witnessed people take part in.” Timestamp of 4:20 The podcast host further noted that he refuses to check his mentions these days. “I just think it’s too poisoned,” Rogan added. As noted, he hasn’t completely turned his back on Twitter, seeing as he still posts from time to time, and has urged Elon Musk to complete a takeover of the social media platform. Though, don’t expect to see him hopping on a trending topic any time soon.

Joe Rogan explains why he rejected Donald Trump twice for JRE Podcast – Dexerto
Joe Rogan explains why he rejected Donald Trump twice for JRE Podcast YouTube: Breaking Points / Wikimedia Commons: Gage SkidmorePodcast host Joe Rogan has explained why he turned down what would have been the biggest interview he’s done so far, with former President Donald Trump. The JRE podcast stands as one of the most popular podcasts on the internet, and with over a decade’s worth of episodes under his belt, Rogan has sat across from countless guests over the years. With huge names like Elon Musk, Mike Tyson, Kanye West, and more appearing on the show, fans are always keen to see who the star will be able to get on the show next. In an episode of Breaking Points with Krystal Ball and Saagar Enjeti, Rogan spilled the beans on why he turned down who could have potentially been the biggest guest to ever appear on the show — former US President Donald Trump. He explained that they wanted him to go to the White House to conduct the interview, and said “they kept coming back” to try and get him to do it. “Maybe I would have thought about it in LA, like to do a real 3-hour thing,” he went on to say. “But either way, the problem is, it’s a real problem in that I don’t want anybody to be uncomfortable, and I don’t think it’s my role… like, if I’m talking to someone like him there’s some uncomfortable things that have to be addressed.” Rogan also added that the proposed format of the episode isn’t something he was sold on. “It was not what I’m interested in, it’s not what I do. The idea of going to the White House and doing a 20-minute podcast, it’s not a podcast.” While the episode would have guaranteed a huge amount of attention, the host explained that he’s in it for more than just the numbers. “I just don’t ever do things saying ‘this is gonna be a big episode, it’s gonna be a lot of numbers,’ I do things if I think someone’s cool. I’m interested in someone, or I think their position is fascinating.” He went on to claim that he wouldn’t have interviewed Trump or Biden as he “didn’t want to help anybody in this race.” There’s no doubt that if Rogan had gone ahead with the interview that it would have caused a stir on social media, but it just goes to show how in-demand a guest spot on the Joe Rogan Experience is.

Joe Rogan explains why he loved Ricky Gervais’ Golden Globes speech – Dexerto
Joe Rogan explains why he loved Ricky Gervais’ Golden Globes speech Joe Rogan couldn’t get enough of Ricky Gervais’ now-viral speech from the 77th annual Golden Globes awards, where the British comedian served up a brutal monologue about the wealthiest elites and corporations present in the room. In his fifth and final time hosting the Golden Globes, fans and attendees have come to expect some rather on-the-nose jokes from Gervais, who adopts a Don Rickles-style of insult comedy during his opening segments. However, for the 2020 ceremony, Gervais took things up a notch, and Joe Rogan couldn’t stop laughing about the incredible speech on the latest episode of his podcast. Rogan was joined on 1406th episode of the Joe Rogan Experience by another comedian, Brian Redban, and the pair heaped praise on Gervais’ bravery and comedic talents. Although he didn’t watch the ceremony live, Rogan explained that, like millions of others, he saw the clips surfacing online from the Hollywood event. He particularly enjoyed when Gervais joked that celebrities shouldn’t use their award speeches to make political statements. “I was like ‘thank you, thank you Ricky, thank you.’ That guy, he’s out there swinging from the hip, chin up, telling it like it is, I love it.” Redban admired that Gervais had called out Apple for using “sweatshops” – while the company’s CEO, Tim Cook, sat in the crowd. “Dude, how crazy was that” Rogan said, “he went after Apple, then he said if ISIS opened up a studio, you’ll all be sending your resumes […] Good for him.” The team then debated if Gervais had the speech pre-written, given that the production team had cuts to the audience prepared, but Rogan thinks the comedian may have just done his own thing. “I don’t know man, he’s so badass, he might be able to do whatever he wants,” he explained, “he’s Ricky Gervais, he’s got the ability to say ‘oh, I’ll do it, but I’ll do it this way, and only this way’ – and they’re like ‘ok Ricky, we love you.’” Gervais has, perhaps unsurprisingly, had to bat down some critics of his monologue, with commentators on both sides of the political spectrum accusing him of leaning one way or the other. Responding, Gervais made clear that his mockery of those in the room that night was the furthest thing from ‘right-wing’, as some had suggested. How the fuck can teasing huge corporations, and the richest, most privileged people in the world be considered right wing? 😂 #GoldenGlobes pic.twitter.com/rfXdGrZ41j — Ricky Gervais (@rickygervais) January 6, 2020 At least we know Joe Rogan was a fan, as were plenty of others, with the clip of the speech having been watched millions and millions of times already, spreading like wildfire on social media. Perhaps, if fans are lucky enough, Rogan might get Gervais on his podcast, which has had numerous A-list celebrities on in the past. It would undoubtedly make for a legendary episode. Rogan and Gervais once appeared on a podcast together in 2014, the Opie & Anthony show.

Joe Rogan explains why he never reads his comments on social media – Dexerto
Joe Rogan explains why he never reads his comments on social media Joe Rogan, YouTubePopular podcast host Joe Rogan has revealed why he doesn’t like to read any comments on his YouTube videos or other social media sites. After starting his career with acting and stand-up comedy, Joe Rogan has now become incredibly popular after building up a following through his podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience, commentating for the UFC, and more. Having been in the limelight his entire life, Joe Rogan is no stranger to criticism from fans, but has revealed why he chooses to avoid looking at comments on his various social media channels. During his November 5 podcast, alongside MeatEater star and seasoned hunter, Steven Rinella, the pair had been discussing the effects that social media has had since it was introduced. Steven Rinella questioned Rogan on his approach to social media sites like Twitter and Instagram, asking why he chooses to “post something and run away,” instead of engaging with his audience online. After being asked if he also ever “sneaks a peak,” the podcast host quickly denied and revealed that he does not like to read negative comments, particularly at night, claiming that it will have a major impact on his sleep. Topic starts at 26:00 “Even if I agree with them…I don’t want to read that at night,” he explained, “I don’t mind reading it in the morning and thinking it’s a good point, I could’ve handled that better.” However, he added that it can also be unhealthy to read during the day, admitting that he already puts enough pressure on himself without fan comments, “I’m my own worst critic, I hate everything I do. So someone is just agreeing with the perspectives that I already have.” “Most of the things I’m criticized on is like thinking on the fly, like doing this, I don’t have any idea what I’m about to say, we’re just talking,” Rogan shared, “it doesn’t always work out.” Rogan was heavily criticized for not challenging Kanye West enough on certain topics in their interview, but he also used this as an example of why he avoids social media. He explained he can not always predict which subjects will pop up and revealed the difficulty in remaining consistent across the variety of topics covered on his show. While certain personalities have different ways of dealing with criticism, it is clear that his strategy has been paying off so far as he continues to grow his podcast.

Joe Rogan explains why he often says things he doesn’t agree with on JRE Podcast – Dexerto
Joe Rogan explains why he often says things he doesn’t agree with on JRE Podcast YouTube: Joe Rogan ExperienceJoe Rogan explained the reason why he often makes mistakes and says stuff even he doesn’t believe during his podcasts after coming under fire for some of his recent comments. Ever since the Joe Rogan Experience first launched over a decade ago, Joe Rogan has been giving his own unique take on things on a weekly basis. The UFC commentator gives into a whole range of topics with his guests, be it their careers, something that’s newsworthy, or even wilder like his favorite theories about Area 51. More recently, the 53-year-old has come increasingly under fire for some of the guests he’s had on, as well as some of the views they’ve aired, as well as his own. However, he’s moved to clarify a few things. During episode 1642 of the JRE Podcast, Joe was chatting with his pal Andrew Santino, when he touched on some of the stupider comments he’s made on the show, and why he shouldn’t be taken all the serious, given he often disagrees with himself when he circles back to what he’s said. Read More: Ice Poseidon hits out at social media hate – “Listen, here’s the thing, these are not like planned statements, let’s be real clear. When I say something stupid, I’m not thinking about what I’m going to say before I say it, I’m just saying it,” Rogan said. “I don’t have an off-air or on-air voice, I don’t. I have me, this is it. “I got through the net and I’m swimming in open waters, and that’s just how I live. If you say you disagree with me, I probably disagree with me too! I disagree with me all the time.” Timestamp of 2:34 Rogan further noted that, sometimes, he says “stupid s**t” because a lot of the time he and his guest are drinking or are high during the podcast. As he notes himself, he’s not going to move away from saying anything that might be perceived as stupid, given it’s not planned at all.

Joe Rogan explains why he can’t play video games at all anymore – Dexerto
Joe Rogan explains why he can’t play video games at all anymore YouTube: Joe Rogan/Unsplash: PHDGamerJoe Rogan has once again dished on his ‘addiction’ with video games, explaining how he can’t just play for a brief period and then snap out of it. While he’s come under fire for his comments about video games before, calling them a “waste of time” for many, Joe Rogan hasn’t shied away from talking about them. The UFC commentator has had former Counter-Strike professional Jordan ‘n0thing’ Gilbert on the Joe Rogan Experience podcast before, and openly talked about his love of Quake. Whenever the topic comes up, however, he always states that games are problematic for himself, giving they’ve led to health concerns in the past. During episode #1666 of the JRE Podcast, Rogan again talked about games with guest Duncan Trussell, explaining that they might just be the most addicting thing around, at least for him. “I can’t have the video games,” Rogan said after revealing he’s buying a pool table to tune up his skills on. “That, to me, is like protecting my children against wolves. It becomes this obsessive thing where it’s like, I’ve got to protect the tribe. You get locked into these goddamn games because they’re so exciting,” he added. “I wish I wasn’t such a simpleton because if I could f**king just play for like one hour and stop… I cannot. Because, at one hour, I start getting a better feel of where my cursors going, when I’m moving the mouse around. I get a better understanding of strafe jumping and where to aim with my rail gun, can’t do it. I’m too dumb. I get too excited. I get too locked in.” Timestamp of 1:17:11 Rogan noted that he’s had the realization that games are “more fun” than anything else he does, outside of spending time with family and people he loves dearly. It’s unlikely we’ll see him jump into something like Warzone anytime soon, but a session of him playing Quake would break the internet.

Joe Rogan explains why he “doesn’t buy” Conor McGregor’s retirement – Dexerto
Joe Rogan explains why he “doesn’t buy” Conor McGregor’s retirement YouTube: JRE/WikimediaPopular US podcaster and UFC commentator Joe Rogan has weighed in on Conor McGregor’s shock retirement announcement, revealing why he has his doubts that it’s genuine. Joe Rogan is host to the wildly successful ‘Joe Rogan Experience’ podcast, which pulls in millions of viewers and listeners per episode and has featured stars such as Robert Downey Jr, Elon Musk, and much more. However, away from podcasting, he has a background in competitive mixed-martial-arts commentating, and is friends with UFC entrepreneur Dana White. He has now weighed in on the Conor McGregor situation, after the Irish superstar announced a shock retirement on June 6. “Hey guys I’ve decided to retire from fighting,” McGregor tweeted. “Thank you all for the amazing memories! What a ride it’s been! Here is a picture of myself and my mother in Las Vegas post one of my World title wins!” Speaking to ESPN, the podcast host stated: “I don’t buy it for a second! Conor McGregor’s trying to get you to talk about him, and you just did. What better way to get people to talk about him when there’s a spectacular fight – filled with people dominating.” Skepticism has reigned since McGregor announced his retirement; the Irish fighter has, in the past, moved away from fighting only to return some months later. Topic starts at 2:25 “What he did was hijack the situation!” Rogan finished, “and say he’s retiring. I’m not buying it!” The host interviewing Rogan gave a smile and joked that the fact they were discussing McGregor meant it was “mission accomplished” for the Irish MMA star. Only McGregor knows if he actually intends to retire, or whether the whole thing has been a publicity stunt of sorts. Rogan, for his part, clearly believes it is the latter.

Joe Rogan explains why elite MMA fighters are “upset” over Logan Paul’s success – Dexerto
Joe Rogan explains why elite MMA fighters are “upset” over Logan Paul’s success YouTube: JRE Clips / Amanda Westcott for SHOWTIMEDuring the Joe Rogan Experience podcast, UFC commentator Joe Rogan revealed why elite fighters like Kamaru Usman are not happy with Logan Paul and Floyd Mayweather’s success. After the dust settled from the wildly anticipated Logan Paul vs Floyd Mayweather exhibition match, Joe Rogan praised the event on Instagram as being “genius” and exciting. The comedian further reflected on the fight in his June 9 JRE podcast and explained why he thinks some elite MMA fighters are so upset that the YouTuber and boxing champion duked it out. Joe Rogan on why some MMA fighters are upset with Logan Paul’s success While interviewing guest Josh Dubin, Rogan opened up about some MMA fighters being upset over Logan Paul’s success. “This is what is going on right now, where a bunch of fighters are upset because Logan Paul and Floyd Mayweather just fought and Logan Paul made $20 million bucks and Floyd made $100 million bucks,” he said. Rogan then said their June 6 fight is making other fighters take a second look at how little they get paid in comparison. “And they are looking at [those numbers] and going “hey, what about me? How come I’m not making that kind of money?” The podcast host then sent a message to those upset and explained: “What they have to understand is, that whether you like it or not, even if you are an elite Kamaru Usman or some of the best fighters in the UFC, the money comes from people wanting to buy your Pay-Per-View. It’s real simple.” Rogan had sympathy for the fighters and added, “Maybe in a perfect world, it’s the most skillful fighter that gets the most amount of money. But that’s not how it works here. In the world of combat sports and professional prize fighting, it’s all about how many eyes are going to watch you.” The comedian pointed out that Logan Paul had a second career getting famous before fighting. “That f**king Logan Paul kid has a lot of eyes on him. He’s had a YouTube channel since he was 14 years old. He’s been on Disney shows. He’s this controversial larger than life internet celebrity. And people are willing to pay a lot of money to see if he can box with one of the greatest of all time.” Read More: NoPixel owner says GTA RP player faked death – Joe Rogan also argued that he see’s a lot of similarities with Logan and Jake Paul and Floyd Mayweather. He explained that the influencers know how important it can also be to be hated as a “currency” because it makes people care one way or another.

Joe Rogan explains why gamers and esports deserves more respect – Dexerto
Joe Rogan explains why gamers and esports deserves more respect Popular podcast host Joe Rogan reveals why video games and gamers do not often get the credit that they deserve during his 20 December episode with fellow comedian Bryan Callen. Joe Rogan has built a massive online presence with his popular podcast, the ‘Joe Rogan Experience,’ and often pulls in millions of viewers for each episode with some of the most intriguing guests. The range of topics discussed on his show usually varies dramatically from guest to guest, however, in one of his latest podcasts with a regular on the show, actor and comedian, Bryan Callen, the pair highlighted some of the difficulties video games and gamers face. While discussing the effects that violent and addictive video games have on people, Joe and Bryan began to question the difference between gaming and other activities that many devote their time to such as reading or sports. “I’m also in favor of you doing anything you want, there’s certain people that make the same argument about someone who’s addicted to reading.” the UFC commentator expressed. Rogan highlighted that media such as video games, novels and films are all just engaging human creations, explaining that some forms of media are just given more merit, “we don’t put merit in video games for some reason.” “When you go to an art gallery and stare at someone’s work, it’s some human creation that captivates your attention,” Joe revealed, pointing out some of the similarities between art and games. “You also need people who know how to play the f**k out of a video game, the thing is those are the people who don’t get any credit,” the popular podcast host later shared. “These guys are making real money playing that stupid game you told them to never play,” Joe Rogan remarked before Bryan added just how big esports has become, “And they are filling arenas!” “This is where the world goes,” Joe explained, “the world goes to the most engaging creation that human beings have that locks in other people’s attention and the most engaging creations for young people are these goddamn video games.” Although the pair both seemed to agree that video games and their player base deserves more credit in comparison to sports like snooker, they also made sure to highlight some of the obvious drawbacks and risks that come with being ‘addicted.’

Joe Rogan explains why Daniel Craig is the best James Bond “by a mile” – Dexerto
Joe Rogan explains why Daniel Craig is the best James Bond “by a mile” YouTube/JoeRogan/Wikimedia Commons/www.GlynLowe.comFamous podcast host and UFC commentator Joe Rogan made a compelling case for Daniel Craig being the best James Bond in a heated 007 debate on the latest episode of the JRE show. James Bond is easily one of the most popular heroes in cinema history, with over twenty installments and seven different actors portraying the Ian Fleming character. Out of everyone who has ever taken a martini cocktail shaken, not stirred, Rogan believes Daniel Craig tops the list, beating out fan-favorites such as Sean Connery. For Rogan, it all comes down who he believes is the most deadly. And for that, it’s Daniel Craig “by a mile.” “The only thing that separates people from my opinion is nostalgia. If you just looked at it objectively, if I said ‘which one of these motherfuckers really looks like he can kill people’ there’s one answer. It’s Daniel Craig,” the podcast host explained. Rogan’s point does make sense given how the newer films borrow a lot from modern spy-action movies such as Mission Impossible. “You don’t really think that Timothy Dalton is up there nuking fuckers? Stabbing people, murking people.” Rogan asked his guest Brian Redban. “Roger Moore is fantastic, but you don’t believe Roger Moore is legitimately out there fucking people up.” According to Rogan, fans of the series really only have two options when it comes to who the best Bond is: Sean Connery, if they’re being “dishonest” and only want nostalgia or Daniel Craig. “It’s not disrespect for Roger Moore. It’s not disrespectful to Tim Dalton,” he continued. “You’ve got Sean Connery if you’re a silly bitch. And you’ve got Daniel Craig if you’re being honest.” While Joe appreciates Connery, calling him a “wonderful actor” if he was locked in a room with Daniel Craig, he would die. “I disagree, that Indiana Jones’ father,” joked Brian Redban. Rogan further continued to stress that if you look at Craig as an individual entity, there is no one better. If someone like Tim Dalton were to come in and take over the role after Craig it wouldn’t work because times have changed. For those wanting to see the next installment in the Bond series, No Time To Die is scheduled for October 8, 2021 – pending any additional delays, of course. And judging by Rogan’s excitement, he’ll be watching it the day it’s released.

Joe Rogan explains why Deontay Wilder’s costume excuse is “crazy talk” – Dexerto
Joe Rogan explains why Deontay Wilder’s costume excuse is “crazy talk” YouTube: PowerfulJRE/PBC on FOXJoe Rogan has explained why he believes that Deontay Wilder’s claims that his ring walk costume played a part in him losing to Tyson Fury is “crazy talk.” The highly-anticipated rematch between Wilder and Fury ended up with the British boxer delivering the first loss of the Bronze Bomber’s career as Wilder’s corner threw in the towel after five rounds. After the fight, the Alabama-born fighter blamed his unique ring walk attire for wearing out his legs and claiming that it had a significant impact on his ability to square off with Fury. However, Joe Rogan isn’t a huge fan of that excuse. During his February 27 episode of the Joe Rogan Experience, the former Fear Factor host likened Wilder’s experience to himself going hiking with a 45lb Atlas Pack and feeling like he can do anything afterward. “The idea that Deontay Wilder with a 40lb outfit on, that it killed his legs walking to the ring is crazy talk. I don’t know why he would say that,” said the UFC commentator. However, he did admit that “maybe” it was true and it was “possible” that the outfit an impact if he was wearing it for quite some time before entering the ring. “Well, who the f**k would let him put that on if that was that heavy that it was 40 pounds and it got to the point where it actually wore his body out as he’s walking to the ring,” he added. Rogan pointed to the third round being the turning point for Wilder’s chances, not the pre-fight build-up. “It might have wore him out but the real big thing happened in the third-round when Tyson Fury, he put that jab in his face and hit him with that beautiful overhand right on the ear and dropped him.” That shot, coupled with Fury “bombing” on him, according to Rogan, threw off Wilder’s balance and affected his ability to stay in the fight. “I could see it having an effect,” said the podcast host when returning to talking about the costume. “How much of an effect is the question. It’s just silly that they let him do it.” Talk about a third fight between Wilder and Fury has already run rampant, with the Bronze Bomber supposedly invoking his clause to trigger it happening. Whether it’ll happen though, especially as Fury has the possibility of a super fight with Anthony Joshua on the card, remains to be seen.

Joe Rogan explains why athletes should be worried about sleep apnea – Dexerto
Joe Rogan explains why athletes should be worried about sleep apnea Joe Rogan Podcast / PixabayDuring his January 21 episode, UFC commentator and podcast king Joe Rogan discussed the dangers of sleep apnea for athletes with big muscles while talking with pro-strongman Rob Kearney. According to the CDC, one in three Americans don’t get enough rest, and one of the leading causes is sleep apnea, which is defined as a disorder when breathing starts and stops when sleeping. While sitting down with strongman Rob Kearney, Joe Rogan and the strength builder discussed the health concern as one of the serious dangers that athletes face. Joe Rogan discusses how sleeping disorders are a serious risk During their discussion, Rogan asked Kearney if heart attacks were common among strongmen, after he admitted “passing out is a normal part of what we do” due to the intense strain from workouts. “Well it makes sense after the f**king exertion. Does anybody have heart attacks?” he asked, to which the strongman replied with, “Not typically!” before getting on the subject of the sleep disorder. “Another thing is sleep apnea. Because the guys are so big that causes them a lot of stress on the heart.” “A previous coach of mine passed away in 2013 because of sleep apnea,” he told the podcast host. “Yeah it’s not good, it’s basically like not sleeping,” he replied, to which Kearney responded, “Yeah, and suffocating yourself. A lot of the guys at this level do, mainly because of their size.” While Rogan has made it public before, he admitted to his guest that he suffers from the disorder as well. “Dude I have it! I have a fat tongue, and my neck when I lay back it closes off,” he said, while motioning his hands around his throat. “Most football players have it. Most powerlifters have it,” he continued, to which Kearney agreed, stating “Once you get around that 300 pound body weight.” Luckily the strongman explained that sleep apnea doesn’t seem to affect him despite his size, and said he felt he had “dodged a bullet” given how many athletes suffer it. (Timestamp 03:10 for mobile users.) This isn’t the first time the UFC commentator has spoken about sleep apnea either – during episode #1369 with guest Chris Ryan, he explained that he wears a mouth guard to stop his tongue from slipping back during sleep. Joe Rogan explains why backlash to Barbie movie is ‘appalling’ – Dexerto
Joe Rogan explains why backlash to Barbie movie is ‘appalling’ Warner Bros. Pictures / PowerfulJREOn an episode of his podcast, Joe Rogan admitted to Post Malone that he was “appalled” by the backlash against Greta Gerwig’s Barbie. With Barbie still dominating theaters and surpassing $1 billion at the box office, Greta Gerwig’s plastic-wrapped movie has been the hot topic, captivating many discussions. Despite its success, not everyone is a fan of the movie. Some have claimed it is too “woke,” interpreting its representation of the female experience as “man-hating.” Now Joe Rogan is weighing in, revealing to Post Malone on an episode of The Joe Rogan Experience that he is “appalled” by the amount of backlash the movie has received. “A lot of people are upset about the Barbie movie, and I left [the theatre] perplexed,” Rogan stated, calling the movie “interesting” and “original.” “It was a fun, silly movie — I laughed. But at the end of it, I was like, ‘How did people get outraged at that?’” he continued. “I know some people personally who said it’s anti-men, I’m like, ‘No, it’s making fun of dorks.’” He praised Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling’s performances and questioned whether the people upset over the film had taken it personally and perceived the movie to be “making fun” of them (We’re looking at you, Ben Shapiro). “Are we [going to] do this thing where we put all men as men? It’s one category? We’re not going to judge people as individuals?” Rogan questioned. “Like, I don’t understand why people think that represents all men.” Rogan also stated that he believed the movie was a realistic take on how Barbie would react if brought to life in the real world, with Post Malone calling it a “good concept.” “It’s a fun movie, man… I’m appalled at how easily outraged so many people are,” Rogan concluded.
