An image of the influencer-inspired cards emerged on the H3H3 subreddit on September 23, and features detailed cartoon recreations of ‘Trasha Paytas,’ ‘Jerk Paul,’ ‘David Dumbrik,’ and ‘Jackass James,’ (referring to James Charles.) The cards include identifying features of each influencer’s respective controversy or career. The latest to throw their hat into the ring is PFL – the Professional Fighters League – which is a relatively new promotion compared to it’s rivals but has big broadcast deals with ESPN in the United States. Jake Paul’s criminal charges In early June 2020, just days after the Jake Paul’s incident on May 30, he was charged with criminal trespassing and unlawful assembly by the United States FBI. Just two months later, the FBI proceeded to raid the YouTube star’s home. The raid — which was done during a house party at the star’s home — was done in an attempt to find information regarding his alleged looting, but instead, they found guns scattered across Paul’s back yard, all of which were confiscated. Charges cleared — For a few days at least After over a year of almost no news regarding the looting incident, it was finally reported in mid August 2021 that the US Attorney has opted to drop all charges against the Jake Paul crew. “Based upon the investigation and evidence available at this time, the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Arizona is not pursuing federal charges against Jake Paul for his conduct,” they said in an official statement. The charges from the city should come as no surprise, as they had dropped them last year to allow the feds to pursue their own charges. In May 2020, Jake attended peaceful protests in Scottsdale, Arizona, before following people into the Scottsdale Fashion Square mall, where all hell broke loose, and countless people started looting and pillaging the building. He was inside the mall when it happened and was subsequently arrested for trespassing and slapped with misdemeanor charges. However, he denied any involvement in looting and vandalism, claiming he was only recording the situation. Still, local police at the time claimed they saw him taking part in the chaos, which prompted the FBI to investigate the allegations and even raid his home. But they didn’t find enough evidence to convict him and ultimately dismissed the charges. “Based upon the investigation and evidence available at this time, the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Arizona is not pursuing federal charges against Jake Paul for his conduct,” they said in an official statement. TMZ reached out to Jake’s attorneys, David Chesnoff and Richard Schonfeld, for a comment. “We are pleased that the U.S. Attorney concluded that no charges should be filed,” they said. Jake is presumably happy, too. One thing about the industry he has been vocal about is the issue of fighters not getting paid what they’re worth by big organizations like UFC. This has led him to enter into a back-and-forth feud with UFC president Dana White. The YouTuber-turned-boxer has also gotten into things with Floyd Mayweather, starting with the whole ‘got yo hat’ drama from May 2021 to Jake calling out Floyd for not paying his brother Logan for their fight. Despite the difference in their respective weight classes – Jake fights around Cruiserweight while Floyd is a much lighter Welterweight – the social media star has targeted a fight with the boxing legend, and even called him out after his return to the ring in Abu Dhabi – with Anderson Silva also getting caught up in the call-out. The two fighters were a part of the two main events on the May 21 show in the UAE, with Mayweather taking on his former sparring partner ‘Dangerous’ Don Moore and Silva fighting his compatriot Bruno Machado. Despite it being an exhibition bout, Mayweather was able to dispatch of Moore after eight rounds, with a brutal body shot bringing an end to proceedings. Of course, while Jake is confident in his own skills, beating two highly-skilled fighters in one night would be nigh on impossible – especially when one of them has an argument to be boxing’s GOAT.
