  • Bella Poarch set to overtake Addison Rae on TikTok – Dexerto

Bella Poarch set to overtake Addison Rae on TikTok TikTok: Bellapoarch / addisonreThe top stars on TikTok are in a constant race to the top – with even Charli D’Amelio facing competition for her crown. With Addison Rae’s focus switching away from TikTok and more into acting, her third-place spot on the followed list is set to be taken by Bella Poarch. Both Bella and Addison have found fame beyond their wildest imagination thanks to success on TikTok. And, both did so in a very short space of time, with less than two years total on the app. Addison rose to stardom alongside Charli D’Amelio, while Bella came along a bit later – exploding in popularity partly thanks to a single video, her ‘M to the B’ lipsync, which remains the most-liked video on TikTok. Now, they’ve both spread their wings beyond the app. Addison has completed her first-star role in a feature movie, He’s All That, while Bella has embarked on a budding music career. Addison too has released her own single. Bella bound to overtake Addison But, with their focus now elsewhere, Addison especially has been posting less frequently on TikTok, and many of her posts are related to promoting her movie. Meanwhile Bella Poarch has surpassed 80 million followers, fast approaching Addison’s 84 million, at the time of writing. But, statistics from SocialBlade show that Bella is gaining followers almost twice as fast as Addison: 3 million in the past 30 days for Poarch, vs 1.7m for Rae. Both are still quite far off the very top spots though, which are occupied by Khaby Lame and Charli D’Amelio. Khaby himself is in a race to the top, potentially set to overtake Charli as the outright number one TikTok account. However, for Addison, while TikTok is still what she’s known for, she’s now branching out far beyond it, and so keeping her follower count growing might not be her main focus right now. Equally, Bella Poarch has shown a lot of potential in music, with her first song, Build a B*tch, reaching the Billboard Hot 100 and racking up almost 300 million views on YouTube.

  • Bella Poarch says training for Grimes fight in ‘Dolls’ music video was “scary” – Dexerto

Bella Poarch says training for Grimes fight in ‘Dolls’ music video was “scary” YouTube: Bella PoarchBella Poarch just released the music video for her latest song, ‘Dolls,’ which features an action-packed fight with Grimes — but training for the epic scene was a little “scary.” Bella Poarch has finally released the sequel to her viral track ‘Build a Bitch,’ which debuted just over a year ago. Both songs boast music videos of near-cinematic quality, following the story of a rogue doll (played by Poarch) who breaks out of the factory that made her before recruiting her fellow dolls to burn the facility to the ground. In ‘Dolls,’ Poarch takes on the shadowy organization behind the doll-making factory and faces off with Grimes, who plays a cybernetic assassin created by the evil conglomerate. The fight features some over-the-top action: At one point, Grimes “Hulk-Smashes” Poarch (who fights back using her special robotic arm) to the ground like a ragdoll before kicking her through a wall. Poarch says that she and Grimes went through extensive training for the explosive fight scene, but admitted that the whole ordeal was a little intimidating. “It was fun and kind of scary, to be honest,” Poarch said of the scene in an interview with NME. “Grimes and I had to go through fight training and it’s one of the coolest things I’ve done in a while.” The video is one of Poarch’s most ambitious projects yet, which she says was inspired by her love of anime series and Zach Snyder’s action film ‘Sucker Punch.’ “I grew up watching a lot of anime and Tim Burton films,” she added. “I love mixing the dark aesthetic with the cute pastels. I’m also a huge fan of ‘Sucker Punch,’ so I named the robot arm ‘sucker punch.’” This marks Poarch’s third original song, featuring a slew of high-profile influencers like Hasan, Sykkuno, Ludwig, Dream, and more.

Bella Poarch is one of TikTok’s most-followed creators, best known for creating one of the platform’s most-liked videos of all time. On top of that, Poarch has also branched out into the music biz and is now a budding artist with two EPs under her belt, as well as multiple music videos featuring other major influencers. While Poarch is an extremely popular online superstar, she’s remained quite private about her personal life… so it came as quite a shock to fans when TMZ reported that she’d gotten divorced from her husband in 2022. Poarch had never even mentioned that she was married, leaving fans stunned — and some, quite upset — at the revelation. In fact, the reaction from some listeners was so hostile that she decided to take a lengthy hiatus from social media as a result. In 2023, she came back to making music, most recently releasing her latest song, Crush, in September. Bella Poarch tearfully opens up on secret marriage year after divorce Now, nearly a year after her divorce, Poarch opened up about her secret marriage and what led to her separation from her husband in a tell-all interview on the Call Her Daddy podcast. Poarch claimed that she’d met her ex-husband while on duty in the military. The two got engaged just months after making things official, with Poarch describing them both as “introverts.” In fact, she claims she was her husband’s very first girlfriend, too. However, Poarch says her rise to internet fame caused issues in their relationship. She realized that she wanted to perform and be in the spotlight, while her hubby didn’t want that lifestyle at all. Eventually, the issue ultimately led to their separation — something that left Poarch in tears as she tried to explain it during the podcast. “Everything just happened so fast,” she admitted. “TikTok happened, and he didn’t wanna be in the spotlight. I respect that, though. It’s hard when I want to pursue music, like I wanna be an artist, I want to share music, I want to make content. But when the person you love wants something different, it’s hard.” Despite their breakup, Poarch claims that they remain on “good terms,” saying their divorce was a “mutual decision.” She also responded to rumors that she’d cheated on her husband, saying that those claims were “not true” and “nothing like that happened.” Although the situation was difficult, Poarch is now back to making music, leaving fans more excited than ever to hear what’s next from the up and coming artist.

  • Bella Poarch reveals the unexpected reason why she has so many tattoos – Dexerto

Bella Poarch reveals the unexpected reason why she has so many tattoos TikTok, Instagram: Bella PoarchBella Poarch is an up-and-coming TikTok star who shocked users with her sudden growth in popularity this year. However, her unique style has sparked some questions and controversy among fans — namely, her tattoos. Warning: This article contains material that may be sensitive for some readers. Bella Poarch has quickly become one of TikTok’s biggest personalities; boasting over 41 million followers on the viral video app, she even broke a record on the website for garnering the most likes on a single post. However, her rise to fame was quickly met with controversy, after some fans took offense over her tattoo of the Rising Sun Flag, which was commonly used in WWII by the country. Although Poarch explained that she wasn’t aware of the symbol’s meaning and promptly got it covered up in wake of the backlash, fans are still curious as to why she has so many tattoos — a question she answered during a soul-bearing video on November 11. Poarch featured a comment from one fan in the TikTok, which read, “Why do you have so many tattoos? They don’t fit you.” In response, Poarch showed off her ink, showcasing a full arm sleeve, a rabbit on her side, and wings on her back — actions that corresponded to her caption. “I had a rough childhood,” the TikToker explained. “My scars from abuse made me insecure. And so I had to cover up my scars with tattoos.” As it turns out, Poarch’s tattoos are a way for her to handle her trauma from being abused as a child, and it wasn’t something that was easy for her to talk about. “I wasn’t comfortable posting this,” she added in a comment. “But if you’re having a hard time right now, just know that you are not alone and you’ll make it through this. You are brave and strong.” Poarch’s video has been met with sympathy from her fans, who have likewise opened up about their own struggles with abuse. Although her tattoos were once viewed with scrutiny, it seems that critics are now viewing her in a different light, with one commenter aptly writing of the situation: “This is why you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover.”

  • Bella Poarch reveals shocking photo before TikTok fame: “I felt hopeless” – Dexerto

Bella Poarch reveals shocking photo before TikTok fame: “I felt hopeless” Instagram: @bella.poarchBella Poarch soared to the top of TikTok stardom in 2020, scoring the platform’s most-liked video due to her viral lipsyncing clip of Millie B’s “M to the B” — but life wasn’t always sunshine and roses before her rise to online fame. While names like Charli D’Amelio and Addison Rae continue to dominate TikTok’s ongoing popularity contest, Bella Poarch became the platform’s poster girl in September 2020, after a short lipsyncing video of hers suddenly went viral. Lipsyncing to grime artist Millie B’s diss track, “M to the B,” Poarch simultaneously became a TikTok icon and a source of internet ire over the popularity of her relatively simplistic video — and while she’s gained a whopping 50 million followers as a result, she isn’t shying away from her own internal struggles. On December 27, Poarch shared a deeply personal post to her Instagram followers, which included a photo from her high school graduation. According to Poarch, the picture was taken while she was “50 pounds heavier and at my lowest.” Poarch went on to explain that, on the day the photo was taken, she “decided to force myself to make changes and do big things with my life” and join the Navy. “The Navy was the first time I ever felt like I really had a family,” she wrote. “It was the first time I ever felt love and support. Friends would wake me up for therapy appointments that I would always sleep through. Or they would push me to keep going when I would cry my eyes out trying to carry machine guns up the ship steps that weighed as much as me.” View this post on Instagram “When I was no longer in the Navy, I felt alone and hopeless again,” she continued. “So thank you for showing up and being there for me. You don’t know how much it means to me to have you here. I want you to know that I’m right here for you the same way that you’ve been there for me.” This isn’t the first time Poarch has opened up about her struggles with mental health; earlier this month, the star also revealed that TikTok “saved her life,” thanking her fans for their support amid the internal “war” she continues to fight against depression. .@tiktok_us @tiktokcreators ♥️ pic.twitter.com/TFCChzkvAA — Bella Poarch (@bellapoarch) December 3, 2020 Thus far, Poarch’s latest Instagram post has been met with overwhelming positivity from her fans and fellow influencers — a welcome response to being so vulnerable online.

In a recent interview, we asked her some of the all-important nerdy questions to get a better sense for her tastes in anime, video games, and more. Yes, Bella Poarch holds the most-liked TikTok video of all time. Yes, she is one of the most-followed content creators on that platform. And yes, she’s dropped huge music videos and walked Rihanna’s Fenty runway, too. But the time for talking about those successes is not now. She references games and anime a lot, so we had to ask about her favorites and see how deep that love runs. She’s also cosplayed as Naruto’s Hinata… so, of course, Naruto must be in her top ten favorite anime, right? Wrong. Just like she dressed up as Pikachu, while secretly repping Chikorita, her favorite anime series are actually Tokyo Ghoul and Death Note. https://twitter.com/bellapoarch/status/1451433158566572034 And, finally, as a site with deep roots in gaming, we had to ask about Bella’s favorite games to stream. This time, two mainstream titles made the list: Minecraft and Fortnite. But the other two should delight a more-niche audience, the passionate fighting game community: Tekken and Mortal Kombat. So, there you have it. Bella enjoys mainstream hits like Pikachu, Naruto, and Fortnite, while also holding a deeper appreciation for Chikorita, Tokyo Ghoul, and Tekken. She’s already succeeded as an influencer, singer, and model. Who knows – maybe she’ll follow in Ariana Grande’s footsteps and become a video game character next.

Belly Poarch has been one of the many breakout stars of video-sharing app TikTok. The 19-year-old has absolutely stormed people’s For You Pages with her adorable videos, and her lip sync to British diss track ‘M to the B’ earned the most likes on the app with a whopping 40 million. Her most popular content often involves her bobbing her head along to a viral TikTok sound along with cute facial expressions, a video style that has won her 37 million followers and substantial engagement on the platform. Many objected to the fact that she was able to meet such huge stars, saying “remind me again how she is able to meet all these people just because she nodded her head?” Others called her “overrated” and claimed that she must have “sold her soul” to be able to participate in such an A-list collab. One fan said that “she doesn’t make content like she used to before her hype,” but Bella calmly replied, “people make fun of me for just shaking my head, so I’m switching things up a little.” Within roughly 16 hours of it being posted, the TikTok has garnered 2.3 million likes and over 11 million views.

The comedian was surprised when the TikTok star detailed her traumatic childhood in the Philippines. Opening up about it, she detailed her morning routine. “It was very hard. I had to wake up at 4 am every morning. I had to finish all my chores. I would be sweeping the yard and picking up animal s**t. • Bella Poarch invites Mizkif to film new music video in wild internet crossover – Dexerto

Bella Poarch invites Mizkif to film new music video in wild internet crossover Instagram: Bella Poarch / Twitch: MizkifBella Poarch is now one of the biggest rising stars in music thanks to TikTok. However, in a wild internet crossover, Twitch star Mizkif is collaborating with her in a new music video for her upcoming single. Bella Poarch broke out onto the scene in 2020 thanks to TikTok. With her mix of gaming and music content, she was a hit world-wide. Now on the other hand you have Mizkif, the happy-go-lucky star on Twitch known for his wild variety content. Oh, and he loves to shoot his shot from time to time. So, when Bella Poarch put out a casting call on Twitter for fans to join her in an upcoming music video, Mizkif jumped at the opportunity. Much to the Twitch streamer’s disbelief, it worked. “Yesterday, you guys made me so happy. You told me about this. You said ‘hey, she tweeted this out, you have to say something.’ I said I’m down. Austin with the vouch. That’s my boy,” he said. “Bella Poarch messaged me. I don’t know what did it: this ratio or the blackmails. She messaged me chat and she said ‘hi, what are you doing next week in LA.’ I told her I’m busy, I’m doing stuff with Poki, I’ve got the Streamer Awards. She said ‘well, do you want to be on my next music video on the 11th?’ and I said yes.” “I don’t know how I snaked my way into this one chat, but you guys helped a lot because with this, I think she thought I was actually popular. Mizkif was bouncing off the walls with excitement. It’s not often these chances present themselves, and soon he was cracking jokes about what might happen next. “Do I get a tailored suit or do I get an OTK shirt,” he laughed. “You don’t need to get things tailored. If it’s a bit big, I’ll take creatine for two days and it’ll be good. It’s not a big deal.” He even spoke about secretly streaming the entire day of shooting: “I’ll try and vlog it — god that sounds so cringe. Do I say it’s a vlog but I’m actually streaming the whole time? Do the classic IRL streaming tactic?” He also let loose that some other big streaming names could be there like Valkyrae and Pokimane — who have appeared in her previous music videos. However, what he’s most excited for is the chance that, maybe, Mizkif can become “best friends” with the TikTok star. “Bella Poarch and I are going to become best friends. I’m excited.”

  • Bella Poarch hits out at backlash over acting “kawaii” on TikTok – Dexerto

Bella Poarch hits out at backlash over acting “kawaii” on TikTok Instagram: bella.poarchBella Poarch is quickly becoming one of TikTok’s fastest-growing content creators, even rivaling the likes of Charli D’Amelio — but some critics aren’t a fan of her style. [jwplayer ZXB9LNVP] Poarch is known far and wide across the internet for her viral lipsyncing vids, one of which broke a record on TikTok for gaining the most likes on a single video. The clip in question showed Poarch lip syncing to Millie B’s “M to the B,” with the star nodding her head to the song’s beat after the singing stops. Many of her videos show Poarch making various facial expressions, like puffing her cheeks full of air or crossing her eyes. It seems that quite a few critics of her videos aren’t too pleased with her aesthetic, though, with some claiming that the TikToker is blatantly trying to be childlike in order to attract a certain problematic audience. She isn’t the only one coming under fire for this, either, with a particular internet e-girl who sold her own bathwater to fans also facing similar accusations of baiting an incredibly unwholesome sort online. Poarch hit back at these accusations in a Tweet on October 12, dubbing her style “kawaii” in reference to Japan’s pop-culture obsession with the uber-adorable (take Hello Kitty and Sailor Moon, for example). “Why is it not allowed to act cute?” Poarch asked. “It’s a natural thing to most Asians. But people seem to hate me for it. I’m Filipino, and in the Philippines, we love ulzzang and kawaii culture. I grew up with it, so why can’t I just be myself?” Why is it not allowed to act cute? It’s a natural thing to most Asians. But people seem to hate me for it🙁 I’m Filipino and in the Philippines, we love Ulzzang and kawaii culture. I grew up with it so why can’t I just be myself? — Bella Poarch (@bellapoarch) October 12, 2020 While Poarch has been met with ample support from fans, her Tweet has sparked controversy across the social media sphere, with critics arguing to the contrary. “It’s not cute when you’re a 20 year-old-acting like a 4-year-old,” one commenter said via Instagram. “Tt’s just the fact that grown people are fetishizing acting childlike or acting cute, it’s not ok and it feels very off,” another added. “I’m Asian, and there’s a difference between kawaii and being a 20-something-year-old acting like a child,” yet another said. While this isn’t the first time Poarch has been wrapped in controversy, it does open up an interesting discussion about how social media stars act online and how their style could be viewed by some audiences.

  • Bella Poarch eyeing Marvel movie part following TikTok and music success – Dexerto

Bella Poarch eyeing Marvel movie part following TikTok and music success Twitter: Bella PoarchBella Poarch may have conquered TikTok with her wild facial expressions and lip-syncs, but the content creator has revealed she hopes to show off her acting skills in future movie roles. She’s even got her eye on becoming a Marvel superhero. TikTok creator Bella Poarch first started making waves on the app back in 2020. After going viral with her lip-sync to ‘M To The B,’ which became the most liked video on TikTok, Poarch quickly became one of the biggest stars on the platform alongside Addison Rae and Charli D’Amelio. Poarch went on to prove she had her own singing skills by releasing a couple of pop singles. For her ‘Build A B*tch’ music video, she enlisted the help of several famous content creators, including Valkyrae and Bretman Rock. Now, Poarch has her sights on Hollywood and hopes to be a future action film star. Bella Poarch talks future acting plans In an interview with Rolling Stone, Poarch explained all about her life from a Navy veteran to an international TikTok star with 89.3 million followers on the platform, as of writing. While Poarch made her name on the app, she explained how she has some ambitious plans for the future, eyeing up a potential acting career. Although “music is the priority,” Poarch hopes to star in films in the future as “an action star or a Marvel superhero.” Poarch also hinted that we could see her fighting talents in her next music video, which she filmed after “a few weeks of combat training.” If Poarch was cast in an action film, her experiences working in the navy would certainly prove handy. Enlisting when she was 17, Poarch stayed in the navy for four years, being stationed in Japan and Hawaii. “My job [was] picking up 80-pound, big machine guns and taking them to helicopters and doing maintenance on them. They would make fun of me: ‘Oh, you’re so tiny.’ But it helped me push myself. It taught me that even if you’re the smallest person, you can do whatever you want. You can get through a lot of things.” Poarch may be keeping her upcoming single a tight-knit secret for now. However, with the 25-year-old hinting that she could be collaborating with Grimes and that Twitch star Mizkif will be making an appearance in the upcoming video, there is clearly much to look forward to from the TikTok star.

Bella Poarch exposes Griffin Johnson for trying to slide into her DMs Instagram: Griffin Johnson/ Instagram: Bella PoarchBella Poarch has revealed that Sway boy Griffin Johnson once tried to slide into her DMs after being tagged in the ‘2 truths and a lie’ trend on TikTok. Bella Poarch shot to fame after her ‘M to the B video’ became the most liked video on the app, cementing her as one of the platform’s biggest stars, and now it looks like she’s getting even more attention from other famous creators. After she was tagged in a video by Addison Rae, Bella Poarch took part in the “2 truths and a lie trend”, revealing three different things that could be true and gradually revealing the lie. Bella’s three options were “Griffin Johnson tried to slide into my DMs,” “I made a sex tape with Tyga,” and “I’m adopted.” The mention of Tyga refers to a rumor in September 2020 that the pair made an NSFW video together after they collaborated in a couple of TikToks, which, according to her newest post, is definitely a lie. However, fans were bowled over at this new information that Griffin had tried to chat up Bella. In the past, the former boyfriend of Dixie D’Amelio was mocked by the host of Call Her Daddy podcast Alex Cooper for also trying to slide into her DMs on Twitter. Griffin responded on Twitter saying “Confirmed that I slid into Bella Poarch’s DMs,” but later clarified with a screenshot that all he said to her was “I like your style.” I said I like her style pic.twitter.com/zOJxYZSKez — Griffin Johnson (@lmgriffjohnson) January 14, 2021 Thankfully there are no hard feelings between the pair; Griffin commented on the video “What’s good,” and Bella playfully replied, “Thank u, next.” Griffin has clearly tried to shoot his shot, and though unsuccessful so far, perhaps he’ll have a little more luck in the rest of the coming year.

Bella Poarch explains why online harassment nearly made her quit TikTok Instagram: bellapoarchTikTok star-turned-music sensation Bella Poarch has revealed that the amount of online harassment she received when her career took off nearly led to her leaving TikTok. 24-year-old Bella Poach has been undoubtedly one of the biggest successes to emerge from TikTok’s rapidly rising popularity. She has over 80 million followers on the video-sharing site alone, and originally blew up thanks to her iconic ‘head-bobbing’ dance with the face zoom effect. She has since gone on to score huge hits with her singles ‘Build a B*tch’ and ‘INFERNO,’ with the former getting over 300 million views on YouTube. Bella has previously spoken about how that track was partly inspired by how she got bullied when she was younger, specifically about what she looked like, and it certainly seemed to resonate with many fans. In an interview with The Face, the star has also spoken about the immense amount of hate she received online after she blew up online. “I was reading all 10,000 comments one by one,” she explained, and after her depression became severe, her therapist suggest that she ‘stop uploading altogether.’ However, her determination to pivot her career to be more music-oriented kept her going. “I thought, this is probably an opportunity for me. Bella Poarch explains how TikTok saved her life Instagram: bella.poarchTikTok star Bella Poarch has revealed that she was in a “dark place” before her success on the platform, saying that it literally saved her life. In September 2020, Poarch’s ‘M to the B’ TikTok became the most liked video on the platform, racking up a massive 43 million likes at the time of writing. While other creators such as Charli D’Amelio and Addison Rae have more followers on the platform, Poarch has still managed to launch a successful influencer career. But, as Poarch explained in a post on December 3, it wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows, and TikTok actually saved her from a dark place in her life. As TikTok revealed Poarch to have had the most viral video of 2020 in their Year in Review, she posted a statement to Twitter explaining how much it really means to her — and it’s a lot more than we might have thought. “Before any of this happened to me, I was in a really dark place,” she explained. “I would wake up going to war with my depression, PTSD, and anxiety… I felt hopeless… and planned to give up.” That wasn’t all, though. She continued: “I’m still fighting the same war, but the arsenal of things that help me fight are different now… For the first time in my life, I wake up looking forward to going to war.” Finishing off by saying that she wants other people “in a similar place” to know that “things can change,” Bella wants to spread a positive message, and given the 2020 she’s had, she’s living proof that things can turn around in a matter of seconds. Following on from her 2020 TikTok success, she says she’s been working with “songwriters and producers who have made the music for all my favorite artists” and has even been linked with a move to 100 Thieves. Bella Poarch explains how being bullied inspired ‘Build a Bitch’ song with Valkyrae YouTube: 100 ThievesTikTok star Bella Poarch is dropping her very first music video tonight, and its lyrics clearly have a strong meaning — one she claims was inspired by her own childhood bullies. Bella Poarch, much like Charli D’Amelio before her, has seen an extremely quick rise in online stardom. Going viral in 2020 for getting the most likes on a TikTok ever, she has since garnered over 66 million followers in the past nine months — all thanks to her ‘M to the B’ lip syncing clip. The simple video blew up almost immediately, and so did Poarch’s career, which has now taken her on an unexpected route in the music industry. On April 30, Poarch dropped a teaser for her very first song, ‘Build a Bitch,’ which included a few pointed lyrics: “This ain’t Build a Bitch / You don’t get to pick and choose / Different a** and bigger boobs / If my eyes are brown or blue.” May 14th. In a May 13 episode of 100 Thieves’ CouRage and Nadeshot podcast, Poarch made an appearance alongside Valkyrae to discuss the inspiration for her first song, which she claimed stemmed from her experiences being bullied as a child. “Growing up, I used to get bullied and stuff,” Poarch admitted. “How I looked like. So I’ve always wanted to be a singer, an artist. It’s always been my dream since I was little. I wanted my first song to have a good meaning to it and to help a lot of people just to be like, more confident about themselves.” “I want the song to be meaningful,” she added. “I thought about something that can help people.” (Topic begins at 9:45) The conversation then steered toward social media and how much pressure young people can face for their appearance and status online, with Valkyrae, CouRage and Nadeshot congratulating Poarch and the positive message of her first song. Fans can catch the Build a Bitch music video on Bella Poarch’s YouTube channel on May 14, 12 AM EST / May 13, 9 PM PST.

  • Bella Poarch reveals she received death threats over viral face zoom TikTok – Dexerto

Bella Poarch reveals she received death threats over viral face zoom TikTok Instagram: bellapoarchTikTok sensation Bella Poarch has revealed that she actually received death threats after posting her iconic ‘M to the B’ lip sync video that went viral back in 2020. 25-year-old Bella Poarch first started uploading videos to TikTok in 2020, and since then she has managed to develop an enormous following on the app, with over 88 million fans at the time of writing. That makes her the third most followed creator on the platform, behind Charli D’Amelio and Khaby Lame. The star has gone on to do some amazing things, including launching a music career with her debut single ‘Build a B*tch’ in 2021, which now has over 370 million YouTube hits. However, the thing that really put Bella on people’s radar was her lip sync of the viral ‘M to the B’ song, where she bobbed her head with the face zoom effect on. Click here if TikTok doesn’t load The clip garnered a huge amount of attention and now has over 56 million likes, making it the most liked video on the entire platform. However, in an interview with Cosmopolitan, Bella revealed just how much hate she received in response to uploading the fun video. “You know, the last time the app made me cry was from the negative comments on that [the face zoom video.] People were saying mean, random things—“she looks so stupid”—and it broke my heart because I’m just trying to express myself and have fun,” she said. “When people ask me, “Do you cringe when you watch your viral TikTok?” I’m like, “No, I’m proud of that because it’s where I started.” In response to the anger people felt towards the viral clip, Bella added: “I was like, Why are people sending me death threats? And it took me the whole day to make that one video. I have, like, over 100 drafts. I perfected this! At first, I only focused on the negative part, and that taught me a lot.” She also spoke about her friendship with Grimes in the interview, and it’s got some fans hoping that they might collaborate together at some point in the future.

  • Bella Poarch competes with Charli D’Amelio for title of ‘TikTok queen’ – Dexerto

Bella Poarch competes with Charli D’Amelio for title of ‘TikTok queen’ Instagram: Charli D’Amelio, Bella Poarch[jwplayer ZXB9LNVP]Charli D’Amelio currently reigns as the undisputed “queen of TikTok,” standing as the app’s most-followed account with over 89 million followers — but there could be another star waiting in the wings to overtake her. Charli D’Amelio skyrocketed to TikTok fame in March of this year, overtaking long-time queen Loren Gray in followers to become one of the internet’s most viral superstars in history. Getting her own podcast with sister Dixie, her very own drink at Dunkin’ Donuts, and even her own hoodie collaboration with Hollister, it seems that the youngest D’Amelio is swimming in success — but her viral fame could be contested in a huge way. Bella Poarch is another TikToker who has quickly become a massive face online, garnering worldwide attention in September after her video lipsyncing to Millie’s ‘M to the B’ broke the record for most likes on the platform. Viewers were instantly skeptical of why she’d gotten so much attention, with some even accusing her of being an “industry plant” — but that’s not the end of her social media stardom, by far. It seems that Poarch has even gone on to surpass Charli in views, earning nearly twice the amount of views over her as shown by their stats, reported by journalist Chris Stokel-Walker: 48.1 million to 27.3 million. That’s not all; Poarch doesn’t even have nearly the amount of videos that Charli has, only having uploaded 83 at the time of writing compared to Charli’s stout 1,500. Wow: Bella Poarch is getting roughly 2x the average views of Charli D’Amelio per video now pic.twitter.com/RuweVTMSUL — Chris Stokel-Walker (@stokel) September 29, 2020 While both creators offer different content — Bella becoming famous for lip syncing and Charli gaining notoriety for dancing — some onlookers are getting antsy that this could mean a swift defeat for the current queen of TikTok. However, Charli’s fanbase is large and vocal, and it seems that Poarch’s content has become a subject of division online, with many failing to understand how her seemingly simple lipsyncing video could get so many likes (just check the comments on the original TikTok). https://www.instagram.com/p/CEopNLRDTqh/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link For now, Poarch is sitting at 30 million followers, while Charli is consistently working her way up to 90 million. Where the race will go, we have yet to see; but it’s making for a very interesting game for onlookers, in the meantime.

  • Bella Poarch apologizes to Cardi B over Twitter beef: “Someone hacked me” – Dexerto

Bella Poarch apologizes to Cardi B over Twitter beef: “Someone hacked me” Instagram, Twitter: bellapoarch / YouTube: Cardi BTikTok star Bella Poarch has issued an apology to Cardi B after getting into some unexpected beef with the rapper over social media, claiming that her Twitter account was hacked. Bella Poarch shocked the internet on August 12, 2022, when someone running her Twitter account made a snide comment about rapper Cardi B’s music. The incident happened after Poarch’s account responded to a post about her latest song, ‘Dolls,’ saying that her new track was “better than any Cardi album.” Cardi B was quick to hit back at the TikToker-turned-music artist by exposing a message that Poarch had allegedly sent to her on Instagram. In the message, Poarch admitted to being a “huge fan” of Cardi’s music. “Haha… I got a better one,” the Bodak Yellow rapper said of the situation. Shortly afterward, Poarch claimed she literally woke up to the online drama and was quick to explain that her account had been allegedly hacked. She also apologized to Cardi for the mess and assured fans that everything was back under control. “Hey guys it’s Bella… I just woke up to this mess an hour ago and I’ve been working with Twitter to get back into my account,” she wrote. “Someone hacked me while I was asleep but everything’s okay now. And I’m so sorry to @iamcardib for the dumb s**t that was tweeted.” Cardi hasn’t responded to Bella’s apology at the time of writing, but she did make another tweet about her DMs nearly a day later, saying: “The dms I be having, lmaaaoooooo people be forgetting.” This isn’t the only high-profile hack to have taken place lately; recently, Lil Nas X’s YouTube channel was also hacked, which fans noticed after an especially odd video concerning Russian president Vladimir Putin was uploaded to his account.

  • Belgian CS:GO event opening ceremony is so awkward nobody can believe it’s real – Dexerto

Belgian CS:GO event opening ceremony is so awkward nobody can believe it’s real The opening ceremony of the Charleroi Esports 2019 Counter-Strike: Global Offensive tournament took place on Friday, April 12, and it quickly became one of the most awkward (but hilarious) esports moments in history. Like most esports events, an opening ceremony took place to signal the start of the competition, which is being held in Charleroi, Belgium. Those in attendance at the RTL Spiroudome, and everyone watching at home were treated to a performance that will live long in their memory, as a number of issues with audio in the arena left fans in hysterics. What was the hilariously awkward moment at the tournament? To signal the start of the €100,000 CS:GO tournament, the event organizers invited DJ Charley and Marisa to perform as the finale of the opening ceremony. Unfortunately, things didn’t work out as expected, with the performance marred by technical difficulties that left viewers on Twitch in hysterics. Marisa walked onto the stage to perform their song Mister E Mysterio in front of a largely empty arena, but as she started to sing, the backing track could be heard stuttering, causing her to lose her place in the song. After a couple of attempts to keep going, Marisa eventually gave up, stating there was a problem with her earphones before asking the DJ to stop the song. Hilariously, DJ Charley appeared to ignore her pleas to end the performance, continuing to dance and twiddle with the mixing deck unperturbed as she stormed off the stage. The singer eventually returned and completed the performance, as Twitch chat continued to make fun of the mishap by posting lyrics from the song such as “FOLLOW FOLLOW” and “the performance was better before she came back.” The pair managed to get through until the end of the performance when Marisa apologized, stating once again that there were issues with her headphones, although the problems with the audio could be heard by everyone watching the stream. Dean Brown and Harvey ‘skriv’ Rodgers, who are doing the English commentary, stated that the performance that they had seen in rehearsals was very good, with skriv clearly at a loss for words to describe what he just watched, labeling the opening ceremony as “incredibly interesting.” A number of well-known teams are in attendance at the event such as Vitality, G2 Esports, and Virtus.pro, with the competition running throughout the weekend. The grand final is set to take place on Sunday, April 14.

  • Behzinga’s viral Tweet to Alissa Violet finally gets him noticed – Dexerto

Behzinga’s viral Tweet to Alissa Violet finally gets him noticed Member of the Sidemen, Ethan ‘Behzinga’ Payne shot his final shot of the year and finally got that Twitter follow from Alissa Violet. People do a lot to get noticed by celebrities on Twitter and it appears Behzinga’s work has finally paid off. After countless attempts of trying to get Violet’s attention, he finally did so on December 30, just before the start of the new year. Violet tweeted a question asking if it was possible to Postmates a boyfriend, which is when Behzinga saw his opening. The Sidemen member quoted it with a bunch of screenshots from Google searches like “can i put myself on post mates” and “how to sell myself as food” just to name a couple of them. As with any post like this, many of the replies are filled with wingmen thanking him for helping them out. “Ayy Ethan,” said one user. “Thanks for letting me use your Limo to drive my date to the airport so we could use your private jet to fly to your private island for Christmas! You the real MVP boss!” Of course, they were far from the only one with off-the-wall stories such as that. https://twitter.com/xFleXy__/status/1211625934362750977 In fact, some of these stories can date back quite a while, which means he has remained consistent in his attempts. https://twitter.com/Abo7oooseeh/status/1211634190938255360 You were the guys he saved from the fire? @Behzinga told me he had saved a couple people from a fire right before he donated his kidney to me so that i could continue to live. — Jordan Love Burner Account (@jxsxph1) December 1, 2019 As it turns out, it looks like all of this hard work has finally paid off as some eagle-eyed Twitter users have spotted that Violet does indeed follow Behzinga now. She only follows 485 people on Twitter so it didn’t really take any time to confirm if that was actually true. For every success story like this, there’s also a lot of failures so shooting your shot like this might not always be in your best interest. If there’s anything we learned from this story, it’s that sometimes persistence like this can pay off. On the other hand, it could also end up getting you blocked so that’s something you’ll have to be prepared for as well. The key is to find a safe middle ground between being too much of a pest and being funny. Let Behzinga be a shining example of that and perhaps you will be able to find yourself in a similar spot.

  • Behzinga opens up about suicide attempt and what stopped him – Dexerto

Behzinga opens up about suicide attempt and what stopped him YouTube: Behzinga[jwplayer mgzBNoPb]Popular UK YouTuber and Sidemen member Ethan ‘Behzinga’ Payne has opened up on one of the darkest times of his life, revealing a secret suicide attempt several years ago – and why he didn’t go ahead with it. As part of the Sidemen, Behzinga is often seen as lighthearted and fun-loving, and this is a side of him that many fans will be completely unaware of and seem truly out of character. In recent months, he has been documenting his incredible weight loss journey and even worked on the commentary desk for Sky Sports during the KSI vs Logan Paul YouTube boxing event. Obviously, though, as with anyone else, Payne’s life and career hasn’t all been fun and games, as he spoke about during a YouTube video uploaded on July 1. During the video, Behzinga took questions from fans that were, for the most part, funny and just a bit awkward, but one question, in particular, spurred Ethan to speak on troubles he has faced. The question asked was a simple one: “What’s the hardest time you’ve had to go through?” Not many expected the candid honesty that came in the response, though. “I would say I’ve struggled with my battles with depression,” he said, seemingly uncomfortable about broaching the subject. “I’ve never been to the doctors about it, but I would say, and people around me would probably say ‘yes, you’ve been awfully depressed at times.” He continued: “In those times, I have done some very stupid things… I got in my car, p**sed as a fart (British slang for very drunk). I got in that car with the intention of not getting back out of it.” Timestamp 9:52 He went on to say that not only did he put himself in danger, but he put other people in danger too, calling it “one of the most stupid things I’ve ever done in my life” and that it was “very selfish.” He then confessed that he had a moment of realization while on his “rampage,” and simply asked himself what he was doing, imagining how everybody who cared about him would react if he did do that. It got increasingly emotional as the story went on, with Payne clearly still feeling upset about the ordeal – but, fortunately, he clearly realizes the error of his ways and is thriving today, with both himself and the Sidemen bigger and more successful than they ever have been. • Behzinga apologizes to fans after calling Sidemen his “colleagues” before friends – Dexerto

Behzinga apologizes to fans after calling Sidemen his “colleagues” before friends Instagram: sidemenEthan ‘Behzinga’ Payne has apologized to fans online after calling his fellow YouTube superstars in the Sidemen his “colleagues,” rather than addressing them as his friends first and foremost. Sidemen has been one of YouTube’s most popular content creator groups for the better part of a decade now. Almost always together for their weekly Sidemen Sunday videos or various other forms of entertainment, be it GTA gameplay or simply just reaction clips, the crew of seven have been all but inseparable through their meteoric rise to internet fame. With this growth, however, the initial friendship they all shared may have been strained somewhat as their online empire grew. At least, that’s according to Behzinga who, on a recent Sidemen podcast, explained why he views the other Sidemen members as colleagues first and friends second. “You lot are my colleagues,” he put bluntly in conversation with Josh, Tobi, and Harry. “I said in the chat the other day, they’re not my friends anymore, they’re my colleagues.” “That’s a horrible thing to say,” Harry responded right away as both Josh and Tobi disagreed with Ethan’s statement as well. “That’s sad,” Tobi added. “In the capacity I see you lot now, it’s way more of a work colleague than it is a friend,” Ethan continued. “Every time I speak to you it’s about work.” “I don’t think it’s one or the other, I think you’re both,” Ethan countered, with Josh then adding, “We’re friends who work together, it’s very different I think.” Before long, Ethan’s argument had caught traction across social media, with many avid Sidemen fans unhappy with his outlook on the group today. Having effectively grown up on the internet together, the content creators have all shared a bond over the past decade. Beyond the content itself, Sidemen run multiple business ventures together, including everything from XIX Vodka to their wildly successful Charity Match event, and are often supportive of one another on personal matters too, be it weddings, appearing at KSI’s fights, or anything in-between. Addressing the backlash head-on, Ethan soon took to social media to further expand on his comments while apologizing to those who may have been upset by his ‘colleague’ discussion earlier. “Apologies to everyone so pressed over the ‘colleagues’ comment. I would simply enjoy seeing my friends outside of a work setting more often. “Businesses grow, lines become more blurred, and sometimes [I] miss the simple days of just laughing with the boys. [It] ain’t that deep, just miscommunicated my feelings.” Thus, all appears to be just fine for the Sidemen moving forward. Behzinga admitted it was nothing too “deep,” and that fans shouldn’t be all too concerned with his current mindset on the group. We’re sure to still see plenty of laughs and iconic moments in the Sidemen Sunday’s left to come in 2023, especially in the lead-up to this year’s historic Sidemen Charity Match.

  • BeckaTV gives first look into Kick’s Creator Program – Dexerto

BeckaTV gives first look into Kick’s Creator Program Instagram: becka.tvStreaming star BeckaTV worked her way up from the bottom to become Kick’s most popular female broadcaster in Europe — and now, she’s reaping the rewards by getting a first seat in the platform’s Creator Program. Rebecca Hind, AKA ‘BeckaTV,’ is nothing short of a jaw-dropping success story. We spoke with the streamer about her meteoric rise to internet stardom in just a few months’ time, and how her success is landing her a major opportunity on Kick. Currently, Becka boasts a whopping 19,000 followers on Kick, a new streaming platform that aims to rival the likes of Twitch and YouTube. Although it’s well-known that it can take years to build up an audience from streaming, Becka managed to garner nearly 20 thousand followers in just five months, having never used social media seriously before. In fact, Becka claims that she’d just barely started streaming on Twitch when Kick contacted her this year, asking her to join their platform instead. BeckaTV rises to Kick fame in mere months “When Kick reached out to me, they invited me to join their platform immediately as an Affiliate, which means that I could start earning subscriptions straight away,” she told us. “And I was like, ‘Why not? I haven’t got anything to lose.’ I’d seen really good positive news about Kick. I thought, ‘It’s gonna be a completely different platform.’” Becka claims she was attracted to Kick due to its differences in pushing new creators on its site versus Twitch, which has stricter requirements for what kinds of broadcasts get recommended to viewers and becoming an Affiliate. “That’s what appealed to me, because I already knew I’d gotten all my ducks in a row. I already knew what I was doing at that point. I knew that a platform change could be really positive. …I can’t remember the exact date — I suppose it doesn’t matter, but I started in March and I never looked back from that point.” BeckaTV started streaming on Kick in March of 2023. In the five months since then, she’s managed to accrue over 19 thousand followers on the platform, thanks to her wide variety of exciting content and her open conversations with viewers. Becka isn’t afraid to try new things (such as going clubbing in Turkey or smashing up a car to celebrate reaching 10k subscribers) or discuss “taboo” topics with her fanbase — something she says Kick allows her to do without any punishments, as opposed to Twitch. “You could describe my streams as a bit controversial,” she told us. “We discuss a lot of topics around things that people don’t want to talk about and consider taboos. We talk about sexuality a lot. We talk about anything that people don’t want to discuss, and we kind of share our views on it as a community, because Kick allows the space for people to voice these kinds of controversial opinions. You feel really open, you don’t worry that you might get banned.” “On my streams, we kind of discuss them in a mature way. We’re not trying to poke fun at anyone or criticize anyone, or be prejudiced against any group or any type of person. We actually put it on a page and openly discuss it.” Of course, Becka wasn’t always an internet-famous streamer. In fact, she used to be a semi-pro Call of Duty player back in the day, and was part of one of the UK’s very first competitive teams before she took a step back from esports to focus on other ventures. “I was part of the first UK Call of Duty esports team with some other girls,” she said. “We had a really great time. It was the best years of my teen life, to be honest. I made my best friends there. Everything was like, the coolest thing ever.” “We did tournaments in the UK, Europe. It was great. …that’s kind of how I started maturing kind of quickly, because obviously I was playing in a male-dominated world. I was quite young, so I developed quite thick skin early on. In terms of being a female, you know, usually it was quite emotional getting involved with men. It was just something I kind of hit the ground running in, because most of my friends, most of my online time was spent talking with boys my age.” After that, Becka started working as a packaging technologist, and was on a career path to pursue this profession for the long-term when she started streaming video games on Twitch. It wasn’t long before she was approached by Kick and saw massive growth in a span of mere months — but it’s not an easy gig, by far. “To start with, I was working a nine to five job, and then still streaming four or five hours in the evenings. On weekends, I was doing eight hour streams, too, while I was on Twitch. I was putting in a lot of work, a lot of hours, and now I’m still working probably 16 hour days.” “But the difference is because I’m managing my social media platforms. The socials are what directly help push more viewers to Kick, right? In the end, that’s my goal: To grow my Kick channel. I’m working around the clock to bring new traffic in from everywhere that I possibly can grab, and pushing them towards Kick. So, to do that takes a lot of work. It’s not just that easy.” Kick announces BeckaTV as first streamer in its Creator Program It’s thanks to Becka’s hard work that she has earned one of the very first spots on Kick’s Creator Program. As of August 14, she’s signed an exclusive contract with the platform that will help her earn a living wage by streaming on the site. “This is insane,” she told us. “This is something nobody else is doing.” Kicks’ new Creator Program will allow streamers who meet certain requirements to make money broadcasting on the platform — and Becka is one of the first to do it. According to details given to us by Becka and Kick, the Creator Program is a work in progress and will only be available to streamers who meet certain criteria. At the time of writing, other particulars about the Program are subject to change, and will be determined by the first group of creators chosen to participate in it. “You have the same access, there’s no popularity contest,” Becka said. “You build your community, you do the work, you can earn the salary. It’s literally that simple, that straightforward.” “I’m in there, actually living, breathing it. I’ve grown up on Kick, my viewer base has developed only on Kick. So I’m like a home-born and bred Kick streamer, only. It’s only because of Kick that this opportunity is arising for me.”

  • Becca Moore discusses life before & after viral Coachella incident: “I’m glad I got robbed” – Dexerto

Becca Moore discusses life before & after viral Coachella incident: “I’m glad I got robbed” Instagram: becccamoooreBecca Moore skyrocketed to internet fame in 2022 after being robbed at Coachella. A year later, she says she’s “glad” the incident happened, claiming it allowed her to help a family in need. Becca Moore is a prominent creator on TikTok, where she boasts over a million followers. The blonde influencer regularly racks up hundreds of thousands of views on her videos, where she shares brutally honest tales from her own life experiences — like the time she got robbed at Coachella last year. That incident catapulted Moore to social media stardom and set her on a path to “paying it forward” for others… and she says she’s “glad” it happened. TikToker Becca Moore saved by Uber driver after being robbed at Coachella In summer 2022, Moore was attending the Coachella music festival when she met a guy that she wasn’t really into. After rejecting his advances, the dude ended up stealing her phone, wallet, and car keys, leaving her stranded in the California desert with no money and no transportation. Luckily, Moore was able to get an Uber so she could drive around and take care of business — but little did she know that she would make a lifelong connection with her driver and change his life. In a series of viral TikToks, Moore says that her driver, Raul Torres, was dedicated to helping her out. They went out for Starbucks and margaritas to ease the pain of the theft, and Raul even helped her file a police report to get the incident on record. In the end, Moore was able to search the guy’s AirBnB and retrieve her belongings, returning home to tell the tale to millions of viewers. Becca Moore’s fanbase changes life of Uber driver who helped her after robbery That’s not the best part, though. Becca and Raul still talk to this day — and their viral escapade was able to raise major money for Raul’s family. Moore revealed that both Raul’s daughter and his father were suffering from cancer, and started a GoFundMe to benefit the Torres family. Moore’s viewers raised hundreds of thousands of dollars after hearing his story, giving a heartwarming conclusion to a tale that started in panic… but Becca says she wouldn’t change a thing. “I really didn’t do that much for Raul,” she told us in an exclusive interview. “All I did was do a video. It was the public that loved the video. I would do a million videos for their family, are you kidding me? It made me realize the privilege I have, having a platform. It made me recognize my own privilege. Like, I have followers that can help this family, so I should definitely do whatever I can to help them.” Moore claimed that she’s blocked the man who stole from her on all social media — but says she hoped he watched the news to see just how his little prank played out. “I don’t talk to him. I don’t ever wanna talk to him. I hope he watched the news, though. I’m so glad I got robbed. I don’t even care.” Paying it forward and giving back Moore says that she wasn’t the only one impacted by Raul’s kindness. The GoFundMe and love from her fanbase also inspired Raul to give back to others. The TikToker claims that Raul often sets up a taco stand in Ensenada, where he gives out blankets and food to those in need. “Raul went down to Ensenada to give away blankets and food. He always goes and makes a taco stand and gives away free food for people in Ensenada. He’s a giver. He gives everything. They’re doing really great. Raul is really inspired by what happened I think, and now he gives away blankets and tacos all the time. I can’t believe I got to be in that story.” Moore is no stranger to being in a tight spot, herself. Although she’s a high profile influencer now, she says that her life growing up was a drastically different picture than what fans see today — and now that she’s able to afford her very own place in LA, she feels a responsibility to “pay it forward” to those less fortunate. “We were really poor growing up,” the TikToker explained. “We had no money, like ever. So the fact that I can afford to live in LA by myself and do all these crazy things that I get to do — that wasn’t the projected future that I had for my life. TikTok literally gave me a different life. I would be living in Ohio. I was a bartender before. I’m just lucky to have TikTok as my job.” “People helped us out, like our family out, growing up. My mom was a secretary at an elementary school. She’s a single mom and there were like, five of us. It was bad. My teachers would give me bags of clothes to wear. People helped me out.” “I really didn’t do that much for Raul. All I did was do a video. It was the public that loved the video. I would do a million videos for their family, are you kidding me? It made me realize the privilege I have, having a platform. It made me recognize my own privilege. Like, I have followers that can help this family, so I should definitely do whatever I can to help them.” Becca Moore: Influencers should be “expected” to give back In fact, Moore believes that most influencers should use their privilege to help those around them — as well as leave a positive impact on those they influence with their content. “I think they do [need to pay it forward],” she said..” At the bare minimum, to be a good influence. Some people are just terrible, like Andrew Tate. People like that should not have a platform, because they’re spreading hate and messages that are gonna damage so many people. At the bare minimum I think influencers should be held responsible to make sure their influence is for the positive. Giving back should be expected. If you can, I think you should try to help.” Since the Coachella incident, Moore has been on a mission to be more vulnerable with her audience, although it isn’t always an easy task. According to the creator, Coachella was the first time she’d ever cried on camera, and she was worried that being so open about the ordeal would turn her viewers away. “I’m so used to being a character,” she admitted. “I feel like people know me better now because I’m not a one-dimensional character. I also go through things. So when I tell stories about things that have happened to me or random things that I’ve been through, seeing other people be like, ‘Oh my god! I didn’t know someone else had this same experience with xyz,’ I’m like, ‘Oh my god. I’m not alone.’” “Honestly, I like it. It’s kind of like a therapy session. I don’t feel alone anymore. It makes me feel less alone. It’s therapeutic. It’s kind of weird though how comfortable I am talking to a camera. If I were in front of a million people, I would never tell the same stories. I think the camera makes it feel less like I’m telling my diary to the entire world. But I really am. I’m a little nervous when I meet new people, I’m like, ‘Oh my god, don’t look at my TikTok yet.’ I really like it. It makes me feel like I’m friends with people who watch my videos.” These days, Moore still stays in touch with Raul and his family. She tells us that his daughter, Myra, successfully completed chemotherapy late last year and “rang the chemo bell,” which she was present to witness. She’s even starting up a podcast with actress Brooke Schofield in February, which will be available on all streaming platforms. All in all, she says the Coachella robbery ultimately changed her life for the better, and wants others to “pay it forward” when they get the chance.

Others chose a different response to the incident, listing singers they believed should have been on the receiving end of the phone’s trajectory. However, these Tweets were quick to be called out as well. Rexha shared the injuries that she sustained as a result of the attack on TikTok, leading to an outpouring of support from fans. Bebe Rexha exposes ex’s insensitive text messages about her weight gain Twitter: Pop CraveBebe Rexha, who recently gained a noticeable amount of weight, broke up with her boyfriend after he called her out for looking different. Should I just pretend it didn’t happen and that it’s ok?” Though Rexha has broken up with Safyari, words cut deep, as she has already had to defend the change of her appearance after performing in front of fans, taking to Instagram to say, “I know I’ve gained weight. Humans go through fluctuations.” Rexha has opened up about the changing of her appearance, saying “Not gonna lie it does suck and bother me when I read some comments but it comes with the territory.” After the breakup, she mentioned that she needed a therapist or a retreat to “get to the root of the problem,” as she knew it was time to put herself first. Speedrunning is a subset of gaming culture in which users play video games at hyperspeed in an effort to smash records. There are even popular events like Awesome Games Done Quick dedicated to the art of speedrunning. This idea has spilled over into beat-making, as users compete to combine various stock presets to recreate popular songs. One beatmaker Robtmb on TikTok seems to have beaten the record for speedrunning a popular hip-hop song. Beatmaker goes viral speedrunning Soulja Boy’s ‘Crank That’ Robtmb, a popular TikToker, attempted to speedrun Soulja Boy’s 2007 hit “Crank That” and claimed to have beaten the record in FL studio. In the video, the words “first ever sub 17” flash across the screen and overlay the user putting the pieces together for the song. The video has also gone viral on TikTok. When the beat immediately kicks in, and the screen reads 16.36 seconds, Robtmb puts on a shocked face. Many users took to the comments section to express their awe. “Fl studio final boss,” said one user. “This is… insane,” echoed another. “Lord have mercy,” wrote a third, while another called it “revolutionary.” A user named Black complimented Robtmb on an “amazing run,” adding, “Technique is insane. • Beat Saber creator really wants Elon Musk’s new EDM track in the game – Dexerto

Beat Saber creator really wants Elon Musk’s new EDM track in the game Tesla, Global News – YouTube / Beat GamesTesla CEO and tech billionaire Elon Musk surprised the internet by releasing an impromptu EDM song on January 30 — and a certain game creator is vying for the track to make an appearance in their product. Musk’s electronic single, titled “Don’t Doubt Ur Vibe,” isn’t a full-on banger that the online buzz might have you believe, instead boasting a rather relaxed atmosphere and oddly inspiring lyrics provided by the SpaceX CEO, himself. At the time of writing, Elon’s track has amassed over 1.9 million plays on Soundcloud, alone — and although it doesn’t necessarily slap, that isn’t stopping the creator of a viral video game from trying to get the song on its playlist. Popular rhythm game “Beat Saber” is a known haven for electronic bops, which players jam out to while wielding lightsabers and cutting various directions in half to the beat. As ridiculous as it sounds, the title provides some seriously hype moments for players and fans alike — and it seems that creator and composer Jaroslav Beck hopes to add to those moments with Musk’s new single, according to a Tweet he made the very next day. “Hey, how about bringing this to Beat Saber?” Beck wrote, prompting a slew of mixed opinions in the comments below. While Musk has yet to respond to Beck’s humorous request, it would certainly make for an interesting addition to the game, which can already be customized with whatever tracks users so desire. Hey, how about to bring this to @BeatSaber ?;) https://t.co/VFDJvWbUaL — Jaroslav Beck (@JaroslavBeck) January 31, 2020 Beck isn’t the only game-centric creator to have commented on Musk’s viral EDM single, either: Epic Games’ Brian Sharon also weighed in on the song, writing, “EDM = Elon Does Music.” EDM = Elon Does Music.@elonmusk https://t.co/bIxhOuIixa — Brian Sharon (@ThatBShar) January 31, 2020 Even Incubus’ lead vocalist Brian Sharon had something to say regarding the track, commenting, “@IncubusBand and Elon Musk release new dope tracks on the same day… coincidence? Come on tour with us, bro.” @IncubusBand and @elonmusk release new dope tracks on the same day…coincidence? Come on tour with us, bro. — Brandon Boyd (@mybrandonboyd) January 31, 2020 Although whether “Don’t Doubt Ur Vibe” will make it on Beat Saber as an official track remains to be seen, the song adds yet another chapter to the celebrity’s already bursting book full of memeable internet moments from the past few years.

  • Beat Saber streamer’s crazy level win turns into an epic fail – Dexerto

Beat Saber streamer’s crazy level win turns into an epic fail Beat Saber/Twitch: PapaLuii14Twitch streamer PapaLuii14 was left red in the face after completing an ultra-difficult song on the Beat Saber VR game only to be told that he hadn’t, in fact, streamed his run. As many streamers have taken up virtual reality games on Twitch, usually a horror title that prompts screams, or even first-person shooters, Beat Saber has been one of the more popular and long-standing ones around. In the game, people are stood in the middle of the screen as blocks fly at them – with their speed being dependent on the chosen difficulty. Some are, as you may expect, incredibly fast and take insane performances to complete, so being able to pull it off in front of your viewers is a huge accomplishment. Yet, it was more embarrassment than success for PapaLuii. During his October 3 stream, the streamer had been looking to beat the ‘Bloody Stream’ level and began doing so after checking Discord messages. However, as he was flailing his arms about, viewers were spamming the chat by telling him they’d couldn’t see and had been looking at his Discord. Instead of quitting, the streamer continued on – seemingly unaware. Yet, moments after completing it, he realized his mistake, falling to his knees, putting his heads in his hands, and remaining pretty speechless. After getting his stream set-up rectified and putting the game back in full view of the broadcast, PapaLuii14 tried to run it back – starting the insane level all over again. Yet, on his first few attempts, he wasn’t able to replicate the magic of his initial run as the streamer failed multiple times within the first few beats. Despite those fails, it didn’t take long for him to inevitably make up for the mistakes by beating the tough level and even setting a brand new high-score in the process. Though, maybe next time, PapaLuii14 will want to check that everything is in order before the first go around – just to make sure there is no need for any other attempts. You don’t want to pull off some magic and be unable to pull a rabbit out of the hat at the second time of trying.

  • Bear makes off with family’s Taco Bell delivery in wild doorbell cam video – Dexerto

Bear makes off with family’s Taco Bell delivery in wild doorbell cam video TikTok: alexvelasquezofficialOne unsuspecting family was shocked to learn that a wild black bear took off with their Taco Bell order — and came back to make sure it got a Baja Blast, too. In the day and age of food delivery services, it’s not uncommon for customers to encounter the odd glitch or issue with their order. In fact, we’ve covered a slew of delivery mishaps right here on Dexerto. From Doordash drivers vandalizing customers’ houses to Uber Eats drivers adding on their own groceries’ to customers tabs, there’s plenty of room for disaster to take place on delivery apps. However, the latest food delivery kerfuffle that’s going viral online doesn’t have anything to do with the driver. Instead, it’s taking over social media thanks to a thief who stole the food right off a customer’s front porch… and came back for seconds. Bear steals family’s Taco Bell order in viral video On Friday, November 3, a video was posted to TikTok showing footage from a family’s doorbell camera. In the footage, a delivery driver walked up to their home to place a Taco Bell order on the front porch. Just moments later, the same camera caught a black bear wandering up to their house, putting the Taco Bell bag in its jaws, and making off with the meal into the wilderness. That wasn’t the end of the critter’s heist, though. According to Nicole Castro, the bear came back for more and had its fill of the soda it had left behind. The Velasquez family can be seen walking out of the door in search of their order, totally confused by its mysterious disappearance. “He came, and he grabbed the food – then he came again for the soda,” Castro said in a statement to Fox 35 after the clip went viral. The incident took place in their neighborhood of Longwood in Orlando Florida, an area that the family says bear sightings are extremely common. This isn’t the first time an animal has thrown a wrench in someone’s dinner plans. Recently, an Australian woman went viral after discovering an entire frozen frog in her spinach… unfortunately, right after she’d added it to her pasta.

  • BBC Radio 1 Cancel Airing of Logan Paul and KSI Interview After Backlash – “We understand your strong views on Logan” – Dexerto

BBC Radio 1 Cancel Airing of Logan Paul and KSI Interview After Backlash – “We understand your strong views on Logan” BBC Radio One have pulled their exclusive interview with KSI and Logan Paul, because they didn’t “feel it was right”, after backlash from followers on social media. Radio One is the most popular station in the UK, and had teased the interview on Twitter a few days prior to its scheduled airing on Thursday July 26, where received perhaps unexpected criticizm. In a now deleted tweet, Radio One teased clips of interview, including Logan saying he is betting $1 million on himself knocking KSI out in the third round, and other fighting talk between the pair. But, mainly due to Logan Paul’s controversial past, many fans of the show were angered that he was being given a platform on the station to promote himself and the fight, which perhaps contributed to the BBC’s decision. Although the BBC have said simply that they did not think the interview was good enough to be aired, this would be a strange change of mind considering their promotion of the interview earlier in the week. In their statement, they also point to the ‘strong views’ people have about Logan, hinting that this was involved in their decision making. We were going to hear from Logan Paul & KSI on their boxing match tonight. After listening back to the interview we don’t feel it’s right. We understand some of your strong views on Logan – but ultimately if we don’t think the interview is good enough – we don’t air it. — BBC Radio 1 (@BBCR1) July 26, 2018 The reception to the the announcement has been fairly positive, many particularly pleased that Logan’s platform on the popular radio station has been removed. Logan Paul is not the image @BBCR1 should be trying to project. Good call, but you should have never lined up the interview in the first place. Especially after claiming to care about mental health. — Louise (@treegonometree) July 26, 2018 Much of the distaste people have for Logan Paul comes from his infamous ‘Suicide Forest’ video from January of 2018. Paul visited Aokigahara forest in Japan to film for a vlog, where he filmed the corpse of a suicide victim, including the footage in his video. However, not everyone was happy with the BBC’s decision, saying they had caved into pressure, and that they should have aired the interview regardless of backlash. Looking forward to the fight and would’ve been nice to see interviews from both of them. Bit of a shame you’ve cut it due to some backlash from people who prob weren’t interested in the fight to begin with. — Adam (@AdamYT) July 27, 2018 Oh I bet that interview was gold! Especially with how ridiculous the press conferences have been. You’re just afraid of the backlash you’d face by having Logan on. Way to take the easy way out at least come up with a better excuse than it isn’t good enough — Brandon Clark (@clarkyyyyy54) July 26, 2018 More: FaZe Rain Speaks Out About His Intense Struggle With Depression and Why He Took a Break From YouTube – The fight between the two YouTubers will take place on August 25, and is expected to take place in front of a sell out crowd at the Manchester Arena, with millions more watching the live stream online. While the Radio One interview would have been significant promotion, it is unlikely to put a significant dent in what will inevitably be a massive occasion regardless.

  • BBC pulls plug on KSI show after Sidemen slur controversy – Dexerto

BBC pulls plug on KSI show after Sidemen slur controversy Instagram: KSIYouTube star KSI was set to have a show with the BBC — but the network has pulled the plug on the series after the YouTuber used a racial slur during a video with the Sidemen. In early April 2023, British YouTuber, rapper, and boxer KSI came under fire after using a racial slur during a video with his friend group, the Sidemen. The influencer quickly apologized for the incident and took a short break from social media after receiving a swath of backlash online. “There’s no excuse, no matter the circumstances, I shouldn’t have said it and I’m sorry,” he wrote on Twitter. “I’ve always said to my audience that they shouldn’t worship me or put me on a pedestal because I’m human. I’m not perfect, I’m gonna mess up in life, and lately I’ve been messing up a lot.” BBC reportedly cancels KSI show over racial slur incident Although KSI faced some social consequences from the incident, it looks like the star was monetarily affected, too. It turns out that KSI’s status as an online entertainer was about to take a huge turn, as he was slated to get a mainstream show with the BBC. However, the network ultimately axed the project following KSI’s usage of a racial slur in the viral Sidemen video. According to a report from The Sun, a BBC insider claimed that “the BBC has decided not to go forward with the programme after the controversy.” “It can’t be seen to endorse anything like that and bosses were as shocked and disappointed by the slur as everyone else.” This would have been the second major show to feature KSI following his Amazon Original documentary ‘In Real Life,’ which aired last year. This is just the latest difficulty KSI has faced after coming under fire due to a controversial blow he landed on boxing opponent Joe Fournier on May 13, which Fournier has officially appealed to the commission.

Battlefield 2042 devs roast TimTheTatman after hilarious death YouTube, TimTheTatman/DICETimTheTatman has confirmed that fall damage does, indeed, exist in the Battlefield 2042 beta, and the game’s developers have wasted no time roasting him on social media. EA and Dice are back at it again with another iteration of their infamous Call Of Duty competitor, Battlefield 2042. They’ve opened the beta to almost everyone, which means creators like TimTheTatman, CourageJD, and Nickmercs have all been able to check it out on their streams. As soon as they spawned into their first game together, Betar proved that his old habits of dying from fall damage were still relevant as he decided to jump out of the helicopter mid-air seconds before face-planting onto the ground after a failed parachute deployment. Battlefield 2042 devs roast TimTheTatman During his October 6 stream, TimTheTatman told his teammates: “I gotta get out, I hopped. I hopped,” mere seconds before the creator’s game character decided to dive headfirst into the concrete. After all, he recently made the same mistake in front of Cowboys player Ezekiel Elliott on the jumbotron at the Cowboys’ AT&T Stadium. Battle of the Platforms reportedly lost $10 million despite big investment by James Harden YouTube: imPaulsive / NBANBA star James Harden was named as an investor in the ‘Battle of the Platforms’ YouTubers vs TikTokers event in June — a boxing showdown that lost a reported $10 million. The Battle of the Platforms kicked off on June 12, pitting fourteen of YouTube and TikTok’s biggest content creators against each other to see which social media site would come out on top. Unfortunately, it seems that every fighter involved took an L, as they haven’t yet been compensated for their time in the ring… but they aren’t the only ones short on cash. It seems that investors — Brooklyn Nets point guard James Harden among them — are also reeling from a massive loss from the event, which reportedly came up short a whopping $10 million, according to a July 20 article from Billboard. Harden was reportedly a key investor for the project, which, according to Billboard, cost over $20 million to produce. He wasn’t the only NBA star involved, either, although the other player was not named. The Battle of the Platforms failed to sell the 500,000 pay-per-view packages it would have needed in order to break even, with the boxing event instead only selling 135,000 packages. https://twitter.com/Dexerto/status/1403912580079497218?ref_src=twsrctfwtwcamptweetembedtwterm1403912580079497218twgrtwcons1_&ref_url=httpswww.dexerto.comentertainmentyoutube-vs-tiktok-boxing-event-1534527 Lawyers representing Harden, TikToker Bryce Hall and the ACE Family’s Austin McBroom are in talks to receive payment from sales via LiveXLive, the project’s exclusive streaming platform — but it’s McBroom who is bearing the brunt of online criticism, instead. • Battle for No1 on Twitch: Tfue set to overtake shroud after Ninja leaves – Dexerto

Battle for No1 on Twitch: Tfue set to overtake shroud after Ninja leaves Twich: Shroud/KonkreteThe battle for Twitch supremacy is on with Michael ‘shroud’ Grzesiek and Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney going head-to-head, following Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins’ departure for Mixer. On August 1, Ninja shocked the world when he announced that he would be leaving Twitch after eight years and taking his stream to Mixer. The former Halo pro, who still has the most followed channel on the platform, has always held an incredible lead over his fellow streamers in the popularity race. Yet, now that his Twitch channel is set to become dormant, the chase to become the most followed streamer boils down to a few leaders. Dr Disrespect might lead the way in production, with xQc ways ahead for Overwatch specific broadcasters, but both are lagging way behind shroud and Tfue. According to TwitchMetrics, a website that tracks a wide number of stats for the livestreaming platform, shroud is the current clubhouse leader to replace Ninja with over 6,770,000 followers at the time of writing. However, Tfue is hot on his tail and is less than 70,000 followers behind – boasting a 6,714,462 million following of his own. Of course, both channels have their own loyal fanbases, but Tfue’s is growing at a significantly quicker rate than shroud’s. Again, thanks to TwitchMetrics, it can be noted that Tfue gained 239,719 followers in the month between July 2 and August 2. That number is 63,000 more than shroud, who himself was able to attract around 176,318 followers in the same timeframe. While the former CS: GO pro will likely be able to keep his lead in the short-term, it appears as if Tfue will overtake him sooner rather than later. 600Now, it remains to be seen if Tfue can continue his huge growth, or if he was given a boost with the hype surrounding the Fortnite World Cup – which he underperformed at. He is however the undisputed leader for Fortnite, now that Ninja has left the platform. Regardless of their growth, it will take some doing to see either channel dethrone Ninja’s incredible figure of over 14 million. That number might, quite simply, never be surpassed – even though he has chosen to go elsewhere.

(Click here if the TikTok doesn’t load) The moment prompted a wave of TikTok viewers to label the move as a “lag dunk.” The reason being how the player appeared to pause in mid-air as if he was “lagging” like his “Bros controller disconnected for a second.” Many more were amazed at how he seemed to make time stand still to pull off the dunk, as one viewer described: “Bro went to the dinosaur age, found a rock and learned how to turn it into a time machine, he went to 2999 and the world was ending so he was scared.” The player’s identity has not yet been confirmed. However, with the clip picking up 4.3 million views as of writing, he is already a viral TikTok star.

  • Bartender goes viral after accidentally exposing customer’s marriage affair – Dexerto

Bartender goes viral after accidentally exposing customer’s marriage affair TIKTOK: imacaykA bartender went viral on TikTok, after revealing how she accidentally exposed a customer’s affair to his wife. In a storytime video with over 2.9 million views, content creator and bartender Cayley (imacayk) recounted all of the details. Cayley explained that it all began when she was bartending at a restaurant, and had two regular customers who would come in every Wednesday. In time, she learned the pair’s drink orders by heart. As she continued to serve the man and woman, she grew suspicious that they were having an affair, due to their body language. “It became very apparent to me that these people were having an affair after quite some time, just by their behavior,” Cayley said. “But also that fact they both wore wedding rings and they both exclusively told me that they were each other’s friend.” One Wednesday, she explained that the cheating man left early and she ended up speaking to the mistress. The woman claimed that she was divorcing her husband, and her friend — the one with whom she had been visiting the bar — was helping her sort out her finances. In another video, Cayley explained that she was working a Friday night without her glasses on, and was bartending with bad vision. The man from before came in with a person whom she assumed was the same woman. “I’m like, ‘Hey! It’s so good to see you guys! Haven’t seen y’all for a while!’” she recalled. “They kind of don’t respond to me, because he’s acting like he doesn’t know me.” The oblivious bartender then asked him if their regular order was what they wanted, at which point the man’s wife discovered his secret affair, as she angrily stormed out of the restaurant. “My co-bartender comes up to me and tells me…‘You know that’s not the lady he usually comes in with, right?’” Cayley recalled. “I’m like, ‘Oh, sh*t! So that’s his wife!’” In the comments, TikTok users were confused as to why the man would take his wife to the same restaurant as the woman he is cheating with. “Why would he take his wife to the same bar he takes his affair?” one questioned. “What was he thinking taking them both to the same restaurant,” another added. Others supported the bartender, saying they would’ve intentionally outed the cheating husband.

  • Bartender disciplined after woman accidentally orders $2300 drink – Dexerto

Bartender disciplined after woman accidentally orders $2300 drink lynsey_36/TikTok, CanvaA woman was mortified to learn her cocktail cost a staggering $2,300 in a hotel bar, forcing the bartender to be disciplined by the manager. A woman named Lynsey took to TikTok to tell viewers the story of how she and her husband had been enjoying drinks at a 5-star hotel in London when she’d made the expensive mistake of ordering a drink called “1890”, which ended up getting her bartender in trouble. After finishing their drinks, Lynsey was in for the shock of her life after receiving the bill for the “1890” cocktail she thought to cost around $20 but that actually ended up costing a staggering $2300. “So when I discovered the cocktail I had ordered was £2,000, I showed my husband the receipt and he was furious at me”, she revealed. According to Lynsey, the drink consisted of Cristal Champagne with sprinkled gold leaf and a 30-year-old whisky, which she didn’t even end up liking as she wasn’t a fan of whisky. Lynsey continued by saying: “So [her husband] left the bar. Left me on my own to deal with it. And I said to the young guy behind the bar, ‘Look I’m so sorry, I had no idea it was £1,890’.” How did the woman “accidentally” order a $2300 drink? According to Lynsey, she ordered a cocktail called the ’18 90′ which she’d assumed cost £18.90 ($23) due to the design of the menu, not £1,890 ($2300). But looking back on it, Lynsey admitted that the other prices were presented with the full stop in the middle and accepted it was ‘definitely [her] mistake’. Click here if TikTok doesn’t load. Lynsey began panicking and pleaded with the bartender that she couldn’t possibly fork the two grand for the drink, which led the manager to come over to try to help sort out the mistake. She recalled the manager luckily being ‘so discreet and so wonderful’ about the whole thing before eventually reassuring Lynsey he would ‘sort it out’ and told her to go to her room and enjoy the rest of her stay. However, it’s clear the impending small fortune of a bill was hanging over Lynsey’s head the next four days of her trip leaving her to do everything she could to avoid the bar. Bartender disciplined after selling $2300 drink She eventually plucked up the courage to return to the bar one night when she bumped into the manager and, much to her surprise, he greeted her with open arms. However, that momentary relief was brief after Lynsey asked him what happened to the bartender. The manager told Lynsey the staff member had been fired which left her burst into tears as she told him: “Look it’s not worth the guy’s job. I will pay the £2,000. I’m so, so, so sorry. It wasn’t his fault.” Luckily, the whole thing was just a joke with the manager quickly reassuring Lynsey the bartender hadn’t lost their job but was sent for retraining as it wasn’t the first time the expensive mix-up was made.

  • Bart Baker teases YouTube return after quitting to make TikToks in China – Dexerto

Bart Baker teases YouTube return after quitting to make TikToks in China YouTube: Bart Baker[jwplayer mgzBNoPb]OG YouTube star Bart Baker hasn’t uploaded a video to the platform in over two years — but he might be considering a return to the site after leaving to become a major influencer in China. Internet regulars will recognize Bart Baker as one of YouTube’s most popular content creators, best known for his humorous parody music videos, where he pokes fun at some of the industry’s biggest names and most iconic songs. Despite his stardom on the site, Baker left around a year ago to pursue another avenue, altogether, on a then-budding platform — TikTok. Baker, claiming he was “super miserable” on YouTube, received an email from a Chinese company asking him to lend his services to Chinese social media. Shortly thereafter, Baker became a sensation in the country, as seen in a VICE documentary following his journey across the pond. Some of the star’s most popular videos in the country include himself singing patriotic Chinese songs that he translates into English. However, Baker could be considering a switch back to YouTube, as evidenced by a recent community post he published to the site. “I miss you guys,” Baker wrote. “Hope everyone is safe and healthy. I’m considering starting to post again on here.” Thus far, Baker’s community post has been met with excitement from fans, who are more than happy to see their favorite YouTuber make more parody videos. However, Baker made sure to warn viewers that this type of content may not be feasible for him moving forward, adding, “But I don’t know what to post… I’m not gonna lie – parodies cost between 20k to 100k to make – I can’t do that anymore. I was insane.” That’s not all; Baker claimed that his first content back on YouTube might be an explanation of what has occurred in his absence from the platform; a story that fans and onlookers alike can’t wait to hear, considering the lengthy amount of time he’s been gone in a bid to “make it” on Chinese TikTok.

However, after revealing that he felt “super miserable” on the platform, he moved to China. Now, after posting his first YouTube video in more than three years, Baker announced that he’s returned to the platform, explained what he’s been up to all this time, and told fans the reason why he wanted to come back. “I haven’t uploaded a video on here for three years. I think it’s time for me to explain what I’ve been doing, where I’ve been, and what happened,” he said. “Sorry I just disappeared like that, but YouTube drove me nuts.” Baker explained that he’s been living in Shanghai for two years and started uploading singing videos on Douyin, the Chinese version of TikTok. I’ve been going on the biggest television shows and uploading videos constantly.” But despite that, Baker revealed he’s planning to move back to the United States next month and will start upload content on YouTube once again. “I noticed that I dropped below 10 million subscribers because I hadn’t uploaded in three years. I wanted to connect with you guys again. It’s been so long. I’m planning on uploading again soon. I’ve had fun [but] now I want to start uploading here again.” Baker said he would “love” to start uploading parody music videos on his channel again, but admitted he’d probably only do it a few times a year. He also revealed that he’s become deeply interested in cryptocurrency and wants to try and work it into his content as long as people don’t think it would be boring.

  • Barstool’s Dave Portnoy wages war with “lunatic” radio host over employee snub – Dexerto

Barstool’s Dave Portnoy wages war with “lunatic” radio host over employee snub X/stoolpresidente/BernsteinBusinessman and founder of media company Barstool Sports, Dave Portnoy, is calling on his fans to make life miserable for a Chicago radio host after he snubbed one of his employees for calling him by his last name. On September 9, Barstool’s Eddie was a guest on 670 The Score in Chicago, and things got heated when he referred to host Dan Bernstein by his last name. “You can call me Dan or you can call me Bernsy, but you don’t know me like that,” the radio host said on air. This incident fired Dave Portnoy up and he released a video defending his employee for how he was treated. “No one ever says anything mean about Eddie. Not a mean bone in his body. He’s on local Chicago sports talk radio, that’s him doing them a favor,” Dave explained. “They have this guy named Dan Bernstein, from what I’ve gotten, he used to be normal, but his brain broke and now he’s a woke lunatic.” “This guy Bernstein, this piece of sh*t, I guess has always hated Barstool,” he added, explaining how the radio host got mad when Eddie called him by his last name. “Buddy, it’s your name! Acting like Eddie insulted him or something.” Eddie also released his own video, noting how he was on another show on the radio channel and their interaction happened during a transition. “As of late, he’s turned into a miserable man,” Eddie said. “On top of that, he’s hated Barstool for as long as I can remember. I was not in the same studio as Bernstein. I was remote in a sporting goods store so I couldn’t see him at all. There was no reading of the body language. There was none of that.” According to Eddie, he didn’t call Bernstein “Bernstein” to get a rise out of him, adding that he still didn’t understand why the host got so upset. Portnoy, meanwhile, how vowed revenge, stating that Bernstein had created “an enemy for life.” “Stoolies, you have my permission, on a professional level, you can harass the f*ck out of this until his dying breath. He deserves, whenever he does a live feed, whenever he’s on the radio, people calling him, harassing him, calling him Bernstein, prank him. He shouldn’t be able to sleep, professionally speaking, the rest of his life,” Dave sounded off. So far, Bernstein has yet to respond to the backlash, but Dave has since reiterated that he wants the harassment to be “professional,” reminding his fans to keep things legal. “And to again clarify and make crystal clear when I say harass professionally, I mean flooding the phone lines and calling him Bernstein anytime he’s in public doing live hits or shows. That’s it.” This is hardly the first time Dave Portnoy has entered a viral feud with someone. Perhaps most notably, the Barstool boss battled NFL commisioner Roger Goodell in a long-running rivalry where he was even banned from football games.

  • Barstool’s Dave Portnoy explains decision behind his Miami move – Dexerto

Barstool’s Dave Portnoy explains decision behind his Miami move YouTube: BFFs with Dave Portnoy and Josh RichardsBarstools Sports president Dave Portnoy has revealed that he is packing up and moving out to Miami, leaving his company home of New York after five years. On the Dave Portnoy show on Wednesday, March 17, Portnoy appeared to have taken influence from Logan Paul, who is looking at Puerto Rico, and decided he can work remotely from sunny Miami. Portnoy founded Barstool Sports in 2003 in Boston, Massachusetts, and after finding huge success, the company was moved to New York in 2016. Barstool now produces several hugely popular podcasts including Call her Daddy, Pardon My Take, and BFFs with Dave Portnoy and TikTok’s Josh Richards. Aside from Barstool, Dave is also well known for his Pizza review series called “One Bite With Davey Pageviews.” He has posted more than a thousand reviews and in 2017, he set himself the goal of reviewing every pizza place in Manhattan. In the past year, Dave has also become a well-known name among TikTokers after beginning his podcast BFFs with Josh Richards and engaging in commentary around the platform on Twitter. With that success, it’s not surprising Dave has been on the lookout for a more luxurious place to call home. His new digs in Florida will likely become the replacement for his rental property in New York, and the second house he owns after his holiday home in Nantucket Speaking to his co-host Eddie, Portnoy explained the reason behind his initial interest in Miami: “There was a girl I met in the Hamptons who tried to set me up with her friend…she reached out to me and she’s like hey I have a friend who owns this place in Miami you’re here all the time you should look at it…it was gorgeous it was the first place I saw.” He went on to explain that after looking at a few places in the area, right when he wanted to buy the first place, a Tesla executive got there first. But that didn’t deter the Barstool owner, who realized that Miami was still a perfect spot, despite the distance from the home of Barstool Sports. “I’ve come to believe I can work remotely. If I have to come to New York, I’ll come to New York, but I can do so much stuff in Miami,” he continued. (Topic starts at 22:02) “I’m there anyway and for taxes – at the end of like five years I’ll either have the same amount of money in new york or the same amount of money in Miami, except I’ll have a place I own. So if you can do it it’s really stupid financially not to do it like I never see myself being a long-term Miami guy but it just makes financial sense.” He also revealed that the price for his new home was “astronomically high” and he wasn’t expecting it to be. “I walked in and the price on my place was three million dollars cheaper on the sheet than it was. They raised the price by three million dollars like the second before I showed up and I had to swallow it.” The question remains as to how Dave will operate while he’s based in Miami, although he floated the idea of either getting a hotel when he visits the Barstool office or potentially getting a company apartment for his frequent visits.

  • Barstool reveals Addison Rae canceled on BFFs podcast over Bryce Hall episode title – Dexerto

Barstool reveals Addison Rae canceled on BFFs podcast over Bryce Hall episode title Instagram: addisonraeeAfter TikTok star Addison Rae decided to back out of her planned appearance on the BFFs Podcast, a Barstool producer has revealed that the title of Bryce Hall’s episode was behind the decision. Addison Rae has been in high demand recently, now more than ever thanks to her new film ‘He’s All That’ which was released on August 27. On September 9 she appeared in an episode of Dave Portnoy’s popular Barstool Pizza Review series where she spoke briefly about her movie and internet fame in general. However, in the episode, they brought up the fact that Addison would no longer be appearing on an episode of the popular BFFs podcast as was originally planned. A couple of days later, in a video uploaded to the Barstool YouTube channel, one of the producers, Karim, explained that the title of the previous week’s episode with Bryce Hall had been behind Addison’s last-minute decision. Bryce and Addison were a hugely popular couple until they broke up in March 2021. “We decided, and by we I mean pretty much me, not gonna throw anyone else under the bus, the title was gonna be ‘Bryce Hall speaks on Addison Rae’s new relationship.’” he explained. “That’s fair, because we did bring up in the pod. Was that why he came on? No, it wasn’t. But, however, it got brought up and we needed to discuss it because that’s what the people wanna click.” He went on to explain: “So we publish the podcast, and within minutes, maybe seconds even, I got a call from Addison Rae’s team and she was like, ‘hey, what’s up with this title?’” Although he went on to change the title, he said that Addison’s representative said the star still “doesn’t feel great about it.” Topic starts at 18:47 However, Addison appeared to be in good spirits about it in the Pizza Review, playfully fake punching Karim when Dave pointed out who he was, calling it a “rookie mistake.” It looks like Addison is only going to continue to get more popular as the months go on, as she’s just signed a multi-film deal with Netflix following the success of ‘He’s All That.’

Barstool owner Dave Portnoy reveals they’re 99.9% leaving SiriusXM SiriusXMBarstool Sports’ Dave Portnoy has appeared to confirm that the popular website’s SiriusXM channel will be moving on satellite radio, claiming he was “99%” sure they were leaving. [jwplayer ftb8P7Xy] The satirical sports website announced its SiriusXM channel back in November of 2017 and launched a few months later in January 2018. Now, however, it seems like the deal is done and so is Barstool. Dave Portnoy, Barstool Sports’ founder took to Twitter to announce that it was looking extremely unlikely that the channel would continue on SiriusXM. I’d say we’re 99.9% out of Sirius. We aren’t in same stratosphere in terms of negotiations. We will just move on to new platforms as always. Our crowd will follow as always. — Dave Portnoy (@stoolpresidente) October 6, 2020 “I’d say we’re 99.9% out of Sirius,” he revealed. “We aren’t in same stratosphere in terms of negotiations.” “We will just move on to new platforms as always. Our crowd will follow as always,” the Barstool founder added. It’s unclear exactly where they will move to and Portnoy, who has grown increasingly famous over the years in part to his viral pizza reviews, offered no clues. One possible destination spot could very well be Spotify, which shocked the industry by signing Joe Rogan and his podcast to an exclusive deal. While Portnoy didn’t elaborate on the type of deal he would like, it sounds like he’s being severely low-balled by the satellite radio company, hence his aggressive-sounding tweet. This news comes as Bloomberg has reported that Howard Stern is nearing a massive $120M a year deal – a step above from his previous deals at $80 to $100 million a year. See this is why I can’t work for peanuts. Im not Stern. But I’m not nobody either. https://t.co/0srZuwU4Wl — Dave Portnoy (@stoolpresidente) October 6, 2020 If those reports are right, it’s a sign that Sirius XM is willing to pay some serious cash, but apparently not when it comes to keeping Barstool within its network. “See this is why I can’t work for peanuts,” Portnoy said in response to the Stern report. “I’m not Stern. But I’m not nobody either.” We’ll just have to see what the future holds for both SiriusXM and Barstool, and if a deal can be salvaged.

Barbie fan hits out at women ruining movie with fart sounds in cinema YouTube: Warner Bros. Pictures/ Twitter: blaireerskineA comedian had complaints when she went to watch Barbie and her experience was disrupted because of some women sitting in front of her making noises. The Barbie movie, directed by Greta Gerwig, has brought people’s childhood dolls to life in the theatres as live-action, earning millions on the first weekend. Barbie has already proved to be in the top 10 list of highest-grossing movies of 2023 and even made its place in being the best opening weekend for a female director. With thousands of people going to watch the film in its first week, some conflicts are due to happen. Comedian Blaire Erskine was one of the thousands to go to watch the film in its premiering week, but soon told her Twitter followers about her unfortunate experience in the movie theatre. Bizarre fart noises during Barbie movie The comedian revealed in a post that she went to the theatre to watch the film, but that the girls in front of her made fart noises the entire time. She had attached a video that showed a theater where audiences were laughing as the movie was playing. However, this was disrupted by a blast of fart noise as her camera moved closer to where the sound was coming from. Erskine zoomed on one of the women sitting in front of her phone screen which showed the title, “Fart Sounds—Over 1,000 Farts.” After one of these sounds played, the phone was quickly hidden before the second noise would come. The writer had posted a series of tweets regarding her experience as she added that she asked them to stop. She went on to explain that if she got the manager she would probably miss more of the movie and went on to clarify that these women were adults. Erskine admitted to laughing initially but noted that she could not cry during the monologue because of the distortion of hearing a 1000 farts. She added, “I just wanted to cry in the dark at the movies is that too much to ask.” Twitter reacts to fart video The video was viewed more than nine million times and did not go down well with Twitter users as they had multiple questions. A user shared that they find women’s antics hilarious and adorable but Erskine said it was neither of those things. While most of the interactions she had with the commentators were fun and lighthearted, one exchange was not so friendly. One person commented on a tweet about the incident and wrote, “Reason number 5982 why my audience and I don’t want to see the Barbie movie.” “Erin you’re the last b**** on earth I want to agree with me,” Erskine clapped back. “You’re dumb and no one likes you girlie go get vaccinated.” When Twitter users questioned Blaire’s language, she explained how Erin’s brand is being “viciously polarizing and mean.” This is not the only thing to occur in cinemas in the recent week. A fight between two women broke out near the end of a Barbie screening at a theater in Brazil, supposedly after a mom let her child watch YouTube during the film.

She even captioned her video saying, “No way I can just get knocked out by the ceiling and literally every worker ‘doesn’t know what I should do?’” However, McCauley didn’t let a wet outfit put a damper on her night, as she continued to party with her friends. Though McCauley was in good spirits, she did ask her friends what her hair smelled like, to which they answered, “Straight up doo-doo,” as well as, “It smells like s—t!” Those who viewed her TikTok video took to her comments to say they would have contacted someone more authoritative than just a bar manager, saying, “Bro, the way I would call the health department,” as well as, “Lawsuit, hello?” Someone even wrote that they had walked in on the situation as it was happening, saying, “Girl I walked in on this, I am so sorry!” Others were shocked that she stayed the night despite being drenched from head to toe. McCauley didn’t give much of a follow-up, however, she did comment back to some TikTok users saying that she went back to the stall an hour later and there was still no ‘wet floor’ sign or proper precautions for the very apparent hole in the ceiling.

  • From amoeba to whale, Bao has found new purpose through VTubing – Dexerto

From amoeba to whale, Bao has found new purpose through VTubing BaoBao, the “silly jiggly whale” as she puts it, is one of Twitch’s biggest VTubers. The once-utaite on YouTube was almost ready to move on, but the virtual medium reignited her spirit and let her grow from a tiny amoeba into a whale full of life. At the end of 2019, Hikaru Station was at a fork in her career. She was a successful cover artist in YouTube’s utaite community. The community, built off covering Vocaloid songs and other Japanese music, was as popular as ever. She had a catalog of original works as well as covers that had millions of views on YouTube. But she was in school at the time, feeling the pressures of adulthood looming. Her creative energy was sapped after years of doing the same thing — she still loved it, but a full-time career in content creation didn’t seem viable. There were some new concepts coming out at the time though in the English space, as the utaite community started gravitating towards VTubing. Hikaru Station, as she was known at the time, dipped her toes into the water, and was quickly sucked in. “A couple of mutual friends were ‘60 viewer Andys’,” she told Dexerto. “We were close friends because we were all cover artists in the utaite community, and they were getting into streaming. They’d have me come on and play games with them, and I thought that was pretty fun.” VTubing presented Hikaru Station an opportunity to not just create the content she wanted to do, but also present herself in a manner unlike before. She could drop the moniker and faux persona to be unabashedly herself, and flesh out a proper personality. That was the birth of Bao, the “silly jiggly whale” that has graced Twitch for two years now, and exploded into one of the biggest musical talents in the medium. With more than 500,000 YouTube subscribers, and 400,000+ on Twitter and Twitch, many tune in for her wild variety of streams — not just her music. Instead of bottling the personality of Hikaru Station behind closed doors to her friends, she could open up and have this new identity. She could play the games she wanted to, and show off the authentic side of herself rather than the one manicured for short YouTube uploads. VTubing afforded her the perfect barrier to immerse herself and become the ideal Bao. “I had always had a persona represent me — Hikaru Station — but I never really had a chance to flesh out my personality up until VTubing was an option,” she opened up. “I tried to show my face during early Hikaru Station streams, but I just really didn’t like it. I felt like I couldn’t focus on the task at hand because I was so self-conscious about myself. “I wanted to become my persona and fully immerse my audience and the world Hikaru Station builds . When VTubing became more accessible — we can just hop on our phones and connect with our avatars through there — then yeah I definitely jumped at the opportunity.” Bao never left Hikaru Station behind. In fact, her past in the utaite space became a core pillar of who she is today. Now she could show off the other sides of her that she didn’t keep online: all the good, all the bad. Gone, but never forgotten Early on, VTubing was seen as the ‘other’ in the utaite space. There was a firm division between those embracing the new technology, and those wanting the precedent to stay. Bao felt this. Instead of just working with a small community on covers, she all of a sudden was sharing all of herself, online, to thousands. There was the live aspect of streaming, and all the different platforms to keep up with — YouTube, Twitch, TikTok, Twitter. It was equal parts exhilarating and daunting, yet all draining. However it gave her a tangible future in content creation. Through all of 2020, Bao worked hard towards her new found dream of becoming that anime girl whale. In the back of her mind though, there were some concerns about alienating her past fandom too much. “A lot of people were nostalgic towards Hikaru Station, so it was hard to explain to them this brand new concept,” she explained. “At the time, VTubing hadn’t exploded yet. It was very novelty. “It held me back from being fully invested in showing my personality and myself. I was caught up in pleasing people. It was only after the first year of VTubing that I felt truly comfortable with streaming and being who I am on stream opposed to playing up a very ‘seiso’ or pure and marketable persona. “But now I don’t care.” If you’ve ever tuned into a Bao stream, especially in the last year, that’s very much the case. She isn’t afraid to fully embody the cringe situations — in fact, she embraces them. Just ask her about Rick Sanchez (“maybe it’s just my newfound appreciation for a man who knows what he wants… I really love him”) or Blaidd from Elden Ring. She could be considered a hopeless romantic, before turning away (some) hearts with the “most cursed” questions (her words). As far as out of context clips, she’s right up there with the most ‘sus’. Any stream can be a roller coaster of emotions from the most mundane to the wildly absurd. But while Bao has given up the Hikaru Station moniker, she never graduated. It’s more like a Version 2.0. “I absorbed her, and a lot of the themes I used for her visually were absorbed into Bao. I still have blue hair, a lot of ocean thematics, so Bao is sort of an evolution of Hikaru Station. Her legacy lives on in this new evolved form. “It’s a bit more personable, a lot more approachable — and Hikaru Station is a mouthful to say. I’d rather just be called Bao.” And deep down, she has similar angles with her content. As a utaite, you’re relatively limited to the medium of singing. VTubing opened up more ways to express that to her fans. “I just have always used my space on the internet to vent,” she continued. “I think about ‘My R’ being one of the most viewed videos on my channel — that’s where a lot of my passion comes from, venting my heart out and getting all those nasty ugly feelings out in a way that’s bittersweet for me. “I can look back to those times and realize things have gotten better, or sometimes they are yet to get better but I’m sure they will. They’re little bookmarks in my life where I can look back and realize life was very different back then. It’s not necessarily good or bad, it’s just life. “I tried being as marketable and safe as possible in my early VTubing days, but realized life is so short and I should just be happy as I am, and be happy that the people who choose to stay are those who accept me for who I am — with all my chips, scratches, and marks. That’s more meaningful than presenting a portion of myself on the internet and hoping it’s received well. I want to put all of my heart into this. This is the most truthful way I can convey myself, by just being open.” Keeping up with VTubing’s rapid growth With all that being said, that’s not to say Bao has been doing the same things she was for years. That couldn’t be further from the truth. VTubing has been booming, with the streaming space expanding rapidly in just six short years, and it’s turned into a massive game of catch up. Every day there’s new debuts, new content to consume. Looking back even just six months ago, the space was vastly different. It’s competitive — no matter what way you look at it, content creation is commercialized and you have to stick with trends or risk drowning. Bao is blessed to have had a solid support structure. Unlike most other ‘independent’ talents, she’s part of an agency with a manager by her side. She had a group of friends there to answer her questions from the get-go. Those diving in from the outside don’t have the same luxuries. “I’ve never seen a community evolve so quickly — I mean the technology, the art, the prices, everything is going up,” she said. “It’s really crazy, and it’s also really bad for someone who’s just starting out and isn’t used to the realistic expectation of content creation. “I can’t even tell them to look at VTubing as an example because it’s so niche compared to every other bubble on the internet. This one is exploding and doing all sorts of things. There’s no way to catch up. You play the game or the game plays you, you have to be careful.” Even with the assistance, Bao has been open in saying it’s impossible to keep up. As VTubing has matured, its top stars have matured and are destigmatizing topics like mental health and burn out — something many wouldn’t utter at the start for fear of being seen as ungrateful for their successes by cynics out there. The reason everyone is sticking out though is because of the vast majority of the community. The support in VTubing is unrivaled compared to any other streaming medium, and even though she says she’s not competitive, Bao has been fueled by those around her, growing with her. “I think everyone I talk to on a daily basis is super burned out and running on fumes at this point,” she admits, “but the strength the community has, especially from a content creator to another, is very strong. I wouldn’t still be doing this if it weren’t for all the people that I met and all the people that are invested in me the same way I’m invested in them. “When I see someone drop something insanely cool, I can’t help but be really inspired and want to do something equally as cool.” Bao had early goals in VTubing of joining an agency, but after a couple of failed attempts went at it ‘alone’. But she’s never truly been alone. There’s always been a group around her — fellow VTubers Numi and Yuzu are the two who come to mind first, but that collection of top solo talents are thicker than blood, and has made staying in streaming worth it. “When I first started VTubing, I really wanted to be in a space where I had genmates or members,” she said. “The idea of collabing with your friends and making cool content with them and building a brand that encompasses you and all of your friends; you bring a little something to the table, they bring something, that’s really nice. “I never got to experience that, so having my friends be that is really great. It feels like going to school and seeing all your friends and being like ‘we’ll get through this year together’ and the collabs are the school projects. We bounce off of each other really well, and we’ve got that content brain where we’re thinking of new things to do. It’s really nice being in a sphere where there are other people like me in this.” Diving from the little pond into the big sea Bao has grown leaps and bounds, both as a creator and a person, in her two years in VTubing. Her major goal is to make up for “all the years I spent being wishy-washy on being a content creator.” That means there’s a long road for the jiggly whale, but she’s never felt more enthusiastic about it. “[Starting VTubing] felt like I was given CPR. My little flame I had left for singing and making stuff was fizzling out. I was so invested in school and being realistic with myself — ‘this was a teenage hobby, I must now do my taxes, I must now contribute to society’ — and then all of a sudden my world flipped upside down. “I knew it had an expiration date, these bursts of internet fame or success online, it’s not forever. Trends come and go. If I don’t take advantage of this, I will regret it. This will never come by again. I had to decide whether I was going to put 100% into school, or 100% into VTubing… and that’s why I dropped school. Everything across the board, it’s been great.” It’s not been without its ups and downs, but 2022 has made her realize the impact she’s had on others. Seeing friends and fans personally at events like TwitchCon turned those “arbitrary numbers” into something tangible. “You can look at these numbers, those arbitrary ones that are changing every day, but as a human you can only imagine 100 people in a room. Any more than that, and I don’t know what that number means. “When you go out in public and meet your fans, see how many people there are looking up at you, telling you all these inside jokes that you wouldn’t know unless you watched my streams, it’s so much more rewarding.” When I asked Bao to summarize her journey, she pondered a bit. Looking back from the Hikaru Station days to now, it feels like an eternity. But small decisions she made along the way let her flourish into the star she is today, and there’s an even brighter future ahead. “It does feel like I was a little amoeba in a pond, and I didn’t really know what I was. I was just floating in this pond and really vibing with it. Then as I grew with music, I started forming and became a little tadpole — I don’t know what I’m doing, I’m just flopping around in this pond, but it’s good. “I then became a VTuber, started growing limbs like a frog, and decided the pond I was in was a little too small. I dived into the ocean, evolved, and now I’m a whale — literally.”

  • Banned YouTuber EDP goes viral on TikTok with new account after Super Bowl – Dexerto

Banned YouTuber EDP goes viral on TikTok with new account after Super Bowl YouTube: EDP445Banned YouTuber EDP445, real name Bryant Moreland, has resurfaced on TikTok following the Super Bowl and is going slightly viral as users didn’t expect to see him around. If you’ve been around on the internet for long enough, chances are you’ve come across EDP455 and his crazy reactions to Philadelphia Eagles games. The content creator has gone viral countless times over the years, especially when his beloved Eagles have suffered heartbreak. Back in April of 2021, though, his YouTube channel was banned and his social media accounts disappeared after Moreland was caught allegedly trying to meet up with a 13-year-old girl by a group known as Predator Poachers. Since then, EDP has been absent from the internet, and rumors spread that he was in prison. However, following Super Bowl LVI, he’s finally resurfaced on TikTok, shocking users who recognized him. The banned YouTuber returned prior to the game with the username edp445theog, posting clips from the game between the Cincinnati Bengals and Los Angeles Rams – though they lacked his signature reactions and outbursts. While a few of his clips picked up a handful of views, his reaction to the Rams taking down the Bengals was the one that really brought attention to him resurfacing, with the short clip amassing over four million views at the time of writing. Ultimately, commenters were surprised to see him back, with many asking how he’d returned to the internet. “Bruh, how are you on my For You Page?” one asked. “Ain’t no way this is real,” added another, while another quizzed: “how are you not banned on here?” Click here if TikTok doesn’t load https://www.tiktok.com/@edp445theog/video/7064410886710119727?is_copy_url=1&is_from_webapp=v1 Some viewers questioned if it was actually EDP himself making a return, or if someone had mashed up old videos, and stated that it wouldn’t last long if it is actually him. One of his latest videos discusses various aspects of the game itself and the halftime show, dispelling rumors that they were old videos being mashed up. As of writing, the content creator’s account is still up, as are his clips from the game, but it remains to be seen if it’ll stay like that.

  • Banned Twitch streamers iShowSpeed & Dr Disrespect dominate YouTube 2022 viewership – Dexerto

Banned Twitch streamers iShowSpeed & Dr Disrespect dominate YouTube 2022 viewership Twitch/YouTube/DrDisrespect/iShowSpeedTwitch’s loss has proven to be YouTube’s gain as a couple of banned streamers in the form of iShowSpeed and Dr Disrespect dominated the platform’s viewership in 2022. The streaming wars featured some major battles in 2022 with YouTube acquiring some of Twitch’s biggest names, but some of YT’s top streamers are actually ones banned by the Amazon-owned platform. According to Stream Hatchet, YouTube Gaming saw a huge rise of VTubers in 2022 with Kuzuha and Usada Pekora cracking into the top 10, but their numbers were dwarfed by the upstart known as iShowSpeed. YouTube star iShowSpeed had a breakthrough year streaming-wise with the highest viewership by far throughout 2022. Despite being primarily a YouTuber, the streamer exploded in popularity after being banned on Twitch in 2021. He wasn’t the only one banned from Twitch to make a name for himself, as Dr Disrespect also turned up in a big way. iShowSpeed and Dr Disrespect surge on YouTube after Twitch bans In 2022, iShowSpeed was by far the most-watched streamer on YouTube and it wasn’t even close. The youngster had a whopping 38.5 million hours of content watched in 2022, over 10 million more than second place Kuzuha who managed to get 27.4 million hours watched. Infamously banned Twitch streamer Dr Disrespect also had a phenomenal year on YouTube. Despite the two-time not having an official contract with YouTube since his ban from Twitch in the summer of 2020, Doc has shown that nothing will stop him from continuing to climb the mountain of success. Doc ended the year as the fourth most-watched YouTube streamer with 25.2 million hours watched, only bested by friendly rival TimTheTatman. The two-time also managed to perform better than Ludwig, who finished sixth on YouTube to end the year. The success of streamers banned on Twitch is certainly interesting, especially as users grow increasingly frustrated with the platform’s rules and controversial revenue sharing. With 2023 still early, it will be fun to see which streamers continue to rise and if anyone else permanently banned from Twitch can break into the top 10 in twelve months’ time.

  • Banned Twitch streamer threatens to “shoot people” at platform HQ – Dexerto

Banned Twitch streamer threatens to “shoot people” at platform HQ Twitch streamer narcissawright, famous for their Ocarina of Time speedruns, has threatened to “shoot people” at Twitch HQ after being banned from the platform. Narcissawright was an accomplished speedrunner and known mainly for her The Legend of Zelda: OOT speedruns. In 2014, Narcissa – then known as CosmoWright – earned the world record for OOT with a run of 18 minutes and 10 seconds. In late 2015, the streamer moved away from speedrunning and began their transition changing their name to Narcissa. She was then banned from Twitch in 2018 for violating the platform’s guidelines regarding nudity and sexual content. She returned to Twitch on March 19, 2022, to stream a variety of content from Just Chatting streams to playing Zelda: BOTW. But a recent ban has caused Narcissa to take to Twitter to threaten self-harm and take a gun to Twitch HQ. Narcissawright threatens shooting at Twitch HQ On March 21, narcissawright was banned from Twitch. Viewers claim she opened a link on stream that contained content that violated Twitch’s TOS. This has happened to a number of streamers in the past and warrants a minor suspension under the platform’s accidental nudity policy. Following the ban, the streamer posted several tweets reading, “the internet is hell”, “real life is hell, too” and “@twitch makes me want to DIE!!!!!” In a fourth tweet, Narcissa expressed she wanted to kill herself and also threatened a shooting at Twitch HQ. She wrote, “I want to kill myself and shoot people at the twitch HQ!!! hahahaah!!” While Narcissa’s threats are alarming, many of her fans and former viewers have expressed concern for her mental well-being. Narcissa responds to threats Speaking with Dexerto, Narcissa clarified that the threat was not legitimate and that she doesn’t even own weapons. “I know this is an edgy comment but I think if Twitch really cared about mental health they would have reached out and talked to me instead of suddenly deplatforming me,” she said. “I don’t own any weapons and the threat was non-credible. I did feel like self-harming though, and the tweet was my way of self-harming.” Furthermore, she claimed that Twitch banned her for showing a disturbing photo by mistake and made the decision to indefinitely suspend her without any prior warning. “Shortly after the gross image was shown, I was banned (permanently) — an indefinite suspension. It felt cruel — a cruel response to me being shown a gross image,” she explained. Narcissa says she has yet to receive a response from Twitch regarding the ban. • Banned Twitch streamer Indiefoxx pleads for help after TikTok “mass report” harassment – Dexerto

Banned Twitch streamer Indiefoxx pleads for help after TikTok “mass report” harassment Twitter/IndiefoxxBanned Twitch streamer ‘Indiefoxx’ is raising concerns over “mass reports” from trolls trying to get her account banned. Indiefoxx has been one of 2021’s most controversial content creators. After receiving six Twitch bans in as many months, the singer was permanently banned from the platform. After a brief single stream on YouTube, the model continued to produce content on OF – something she says only began as a result of bullying on Twitch. Now, it seems like her TikTok profile is in danger of being banned too, and Indiefoxx is asking for something to be done amid mass reporting. https://twitter.com/indiefoxxlive/status/1474223404731359232 Indiefoxx begs for help over TikTok reports Taking to Twitter, Indiefoxx tagged numerous TikTok support accounts to ask for assistance over trolls constantly reporting her. “Can you actually do something about mass reporting for creators? Or you just going to allow people to harass female creators?” she asked. “I’ve appealed, but mod teams just assume what the trolls say is true on Live, they don’t even check.” At the time of her tweet, she still has a TikTok account with over 400,000 followers active, with her previous video being posted two days prior. It’s unclear if she is still able to post content to the channel at this time. https://twitter.com/indiefoxxlive/status/1474225158437048325 After fans suggested she create different kinds of content that wouldn’t be reported, she shot back, claiming, “ I do. They don’t care. They just follow and hate me. Heck, I’m even shadowed on Twitter and I don’t even post… I’m legit being harassed into oblivion and I’m sick of being silent about it.” Indiefoxx isn’t the only big name forced to deal with mass reports. As Dexerto reported, Amouranth’s Instagram was banned due to mass reports and the site refuses to reactivate it until someone at the company agrees to manage it. Hopefully, Indiefoxx and TikTok can get their situation under control and she can get back to making content without having to worry about potential bans.

  • Banned Twitch streamer Indiefoxx announces return to streaming – Dexerto

Banned Twitch streamer Indiefoxx announces return to streaming Instagram/IndiefoxxSince being banned on Twitch, fans of Indiefoxx have been wondering when she will return. She has now confirmed when she will be back broadcasting. Indiefoxx was one of Twitch’s fastest-growing streamers throughout the notorious hot tub meta in 2021 in which she accumulated over 2 million followers. Despite such growth, her risque content lead to a whopping six bans with the first happening on January 29 and the last, potentially permanent one, taking place on June 28, which also saw her partner status revoked. On October 5 Indiefoxx revealed she will be back to streaming in a new video posted to her Instagram and Twitter accounts, but this time, she’ll be taking her talents to YouTube. Indiefoxx reveals Twitch ban is permanent The model and singer has never commented on whether or not the ban will stick. However, she finally provided some insight in her YouTube streaming announcement video. Read More: Indiefoxx selling her Twitch clips as NFTs – In the video, the streamer partakes in some ASMR while lying down on her bed. Suddenly, she receives an email from Twitch Support that reads: “Dear Indiefoxx, your account on Twitch has been suspended permanently following multiple guideline…” before being cut off. https://twitter.com/indiefoxxlive/status/1445436884038131712 Following this, the scene transitions to a “manager” of sorts speaking on a phone about recruiting the streamer and giving her a new home. Finally, the video ends with an unemployed Indiefoxx on a couch with Dorito chips and Mountain Dew cans all over the place before receiving a call about a new streaming gig. Indiefoxx announces YouTube streaming debut Indiefoxx’s first YouTube stream will be on Saturday, October 9 at 12 PM PST on her ‘JenelleCat’ channel. Her move to YouTube follows other permanently suspended Twitch stars such as Dr Disrespect, who was mysteriously banned in the Summer of 2020. Unlike Indiefoxx, however, the Doc plans on suing Twitch for his suspension. It’s unclear exactly what her streams will entail, but if they’re anything like her Twitch content, it will interesting to see if Google takes as hard of a line. In any case, we’ll find out once she makes her grand return to streaming after a four-month hiatus.

  • Banned Twitch streamer apologizes to family of the fish he “smashed” to death – Dexerto

Banned Twitch streamer apologizes to family of the fish he “smashed” to death Pixabay/YouTube/MrChanChan7A Twitch streamer is apologizing to the family of a fish he killed that resulted in a ban from the platform. New Zealand-based streamer MrChanChan was banned on May 26 after a fishing stream went horribly wrong when he “smashed” a fish he caught to death. At first, MrChanChan seemed to not care about being suspended. In a reply to the StreamerBans Twitter account that keeps track of bans, he seemed to just be impressed that the account tagged him in a message. “Wow I never knew that my name is mentioned on a 300k [follower] Twitter account!” he replied. “Thank you!” Wow I never knew that my name is mentioned on here a 300k followed twitter account! Thank you! — Mr. ChanChan (@chanchan_mr) May 26, 2021 However, while he seemed nonchalant about the ban at first, that soon changed after two days of silence. In a video uploaded to his YouTube channel, the banned streamer addressed the situation and explained how sorry he was. “What happened was, I went fishing the other day and I did a fishing stream. I caught a fish, but the fish was so strong, and I’m not a professional, so I didn’t know how to handle it,” he revealed. “So what I did was, I tried to smash the fish to the ground while it was hanging on the fishing rope.” Smashing a fish on the ground is definitely not an ideal way to prepare your dinner and Twitch’s Community Guidelines state that “acts of violence” will be taken seriously. “That moment caused a problem,” he added. “After I realized I got banned, I was in a panic, because Twitch is the main source of income for my family.” According to the streamer, he began thinking more about the incident after he ate the fish and realized he was “f**king selfish.” “I care about my family, but not the family of the fish that I killed and I ate!” he exclaimed. “I mean, they probably want to kill me, right? So, I really want to say that I’m so sorry to the fish I killed and to their family.” It’s not clear if the family of the fish he killed has an internet connection or own devices to watch MrChanChan’s apology for themselves, but it’s evident that he didn’t mean be so brutal in the slaying of his dinner. MrChanChan didn’t state how long his ban would be for, so it’s anyone’s guess when he will be allowed back on Twitch. In any case, don’t expect to see any more fishing streams from him in the future, whether it’s on Twitch or other platforms.

  • Banned Twitch star Indiefoxx teases streaming return in cryptic message – Dexerto

Banned Twitch star Indiefoxx teases streaming return in cryptic message YouTube: IndiefoxxBanned Twitch star Jenelle ‘Indiefoxx’ Dagres has teased her return to streaming, more than a month after she briefly staged a comeback on YouTube and half a year since Twitch barred her from their popular platform. Dagres enjoyed an immense rise to fame in 2021, shooting to over two million followers on Twitch in less than a year, before it was all stripped away via a permanent ban. The controversial Just Chatting streamer racked up a whopping six suspensions between January 29 and her final, permanent strike on June 28. These were mainly due to the star’s content which often courted an “NSFW” element, including hot tub broadcasts or her lying in bed for ASMR streams. Indiefoxx’s ban on Twitch saw her turn to selling clips as NFTs, building a large TikTok fanbase — before being suspended on that site too — and attempting a big return on YouTube in early October. Now the controversial star is angling for take two: Indiefoxx is planning another comeback, though her platform of choice has not yet been locked in. Indiefoxx posted a cryptic Twitter message on November 19, suggesting that she will officially be “coming back soon” alongside a red heart emoji. Though she didn’t put an exact date on her return, the 26-year-old’s hiatus has already stretched over a month. The last time she went live on any platform was Oct. 9, with a one-off YouTube stream titled “THE RETURN OF INDIEFOXX,” though that comeback was, in the end, short-lived. As of publication, Indiefoxx is still banned on Twitch. Therefore, unless Twitch is secretly planning to unban the controversial star, Indiefoxx will likely be streaming on her YouTube channel again in the coming days. https://twitter.com/indiefoxxlive/status/1461471840472240133 The 26-year-old has remained relatively active on Twitter and YouTube since her Twitch ban, regularly tweeting photos and uploading short-length vlogs. Soon after her last suspension, Indiefoxx vowed to keep making content. She said, “A lot of bad stuff happened to me lately. But I don’t complain, I just find solutions and keep my head up. If you guys thought I was taking a break, you’d be mistaken. Success doesn’t sleep and I’m grinding every minute.” Before her Twitch ban, Dagres was raking in up to 8k followers a day, including a two-million follower spike in June. She has 27.8k subs on YouTube.

  • Banned Twitch body painter hits out at platform over rule changes – Dexerto

Banned Twitch body painter hits out at platform over rule changes Twitter: ForkGirlCosplayTwitch body painter ‘ForkGirl’ has hit out at the streaming service over changes they made to their guidelines, just weeks after her channel was apparently deleted without warning. Body painting has long been a controversial topic on Twitch, with some users arguing it is inappropriate and so violates the platform’s guidelines. However, others argue that it is a legitimate form of art, and it regularly attracts thousands of viewers. Twitch has strict rules about body painting. It is allowed, but streamers must meet a number of rules and standards relating to how much of their body is covered. Back on June 5, ForkGirl claimed her Twitch channel was deleted without warning. “I woke up this morning to my Twitch account deleted, with no email or communication from Twitch,” she said. Read More: David Dobrik confirms YouTube vlog return – She also shared images of her last two paints done on stream, to show that they did not breach community guidelines. However, it now appears that the email from the platform has been found, but ForkGirl’s criticism of Twitch remains. “It’s been confirmed – My suspension had nothing to do with copyright music,” she tweeted. “Twitch updated the body-paint guidelines to give clear rules, then threw in a vague clause which can be used to justify banning any body painter.” It’s been confirmed – My suspension had nothing to do with copyright music. @Twitch @TwitchSupport updated the bodypaint guidelines to give clear rules, then threw in a vague clause which can be used to justify banning any body painter. pic.twitter.com/i4KhJpR3Pp — forkgirl (@ForkgirlCosplay) June 12, 2020 In the attached explanation, she reiterated her confidence that none of her streams have breached Twitch’s guidelines, even with the new stipulations in place. Twitch’s ruling stipulated that “performing unrelated activities for an extended period of time while dressed in body-art attire” was now a bannable offense. She concluded: “At least when I thought it was DMCA related, I felt it was justified. But my channel has been wrongfully taken from me AGAIN. I’m so upset and disappointed.” It’s clear, however, that ForkGirl wants more clarity over her channel removal which, at the time of writing, remains in place. Twitch does not comment on violations of their community guidelines, or bans pertaining to specific streamers, to protect the privacy of users.

  • Banned streamer Velvet_7 calls on Twitch to overturn “ridiculous” bans after a year – Dexerto

Banned streamer Velvet_7 calls on Twitch to overturn “ridiculous” bans after a year Twitch: Velvet_7Banned streamer Velvet_7 has, again, called on Twitch to overturn her ban, revealing that the platform even said they made mistakes in dishing out some of the strikes against her. Over the years, many streamers have been banned from Twitch and have been left in the dark as to why it happened, not knowing if their suspension is ever going to be overturned. In the case of Korean streamer Velvet_7, she’s been banned on multiple occasions for different reasons – including one ban for “sharing or engaging in sexually suggestive content or activities” seemingly for the clothes she was wearing. While Twitch has tweaked these rules since her ban, creating a new category off the back of the controversial hot tub meta, Velvet_7 remains banned and has streamed on YouTube in the meantime. On July 12, the Korean streamer once again called on Twitch to overturn her long-term ban and reactivate her channel, noting that they’ve admitted to making mistakes in suspending her before. “I got banned 3 times from Twitch by their own mistake and (I’m) still banned now,” she Tweeted. “I know I got banned by my own mistake before but last 3 ban was ridiculous. It’s been more than a year now.” Velvet_7 attached multiple screenshots of Twitch apologizing for wrongfully banning her on a number of occasions, including one from last April which left the streamer in tears. I got banned 3 times from twitch by their own mistake and still banned now. I know I got banned by my own mistake before but last 3 ban was ridiculous. It’s been more than a year now… @TwitchSupport @Twitch pic.twitter.com/jGNS9nDkOE — velvet (@velvet16133188) July 13, 2021 Fans of Velvet_7 has also tried getting Twitch to hear their calls for change as well, starting the #FreeVelvet hashtag on multiple social media platforms. While this has been going on for a few months now, Twitch has yet to change its stance and Velvet_7 remains banned. So, we’ll just have to wait and see if her new calls have any impact.

  • Banned streamer Morgpie blames Twitch for viral ‘topless’ meta in exclusive interview – Dexerto

Banned streamer Morgpie blames Twitch for viral ‘topless’ meta in exclusive interview DexertoMorgpie, the now-banned Twitch streamer who went viral for popularizing the current ‘topless’ meta taking over the site, opened up with us in an exclusive interview about her suspension and how she feels Twitch’s TOS are to blame for this new trend. Twitch has been inundated with a variety of different ‘metas’ over the years. From hot tub streams to body painting and more, it’s not unusual to see creators hop on certain trends that appear to skirt the site’s guidelines on nudity and sexual content. While Twitch attempted to remedy the issue with hot tub streams by creating an entirely new category for such broadcasts, another ‘meta’ has emerged on the website that’s sparking outrage across the platform. On December 8, Twitch streamer ‘Morgpie’ went viral for seemingly streaming while topless, with her camera frame cutting off just above her decolletage. The broadcast sparked backlash across social media, stirring up a conversation on the ethics of streaming such content on Twitch as well as the site’s stance on banning streamers who take these broadcasts ‘too far.’ Three days later, Morgpie was finally banned. We spoke with the streamer about her viral broadcast, the ethics of this new ‘topless’ meta, and why she thinks Twitch is to blame for the entire ordeal. Morgpie reveals she’s actually fully clothed in ‘topless’ streams To start, Morgpie made sure to credit fellow Twitch streamer ‘AsianBunny’ for apparently starting the ‘topless meta,’ saying that she’d seen her broadcasts and followed suit. (It’s worth noting that AsianBunny was also banned from Twitch recently.) “She was getting crazy views with it, so I decided to try it myself, and I got the most views I’ve ever gotten doing it,” Morgpie told us. “So, I think the numbers kind of talk on Twitch, and whatever gets the most views that’s within TOS.” Morgpie assured us that she does, in fact, read the site’s terms of service to make sure her content is strictly within Twitch’s guidelines, arguing that there was nothing from her broadcasts that specifically violates them. “I do read the TOS anytime I try to incorporate anything new into my streams, just to make sure, because I don’t want to get banned. I did get banned. But I think Twitch right now is definitely banning a lot of girls because of this new meta. They kind of want to put a lid on it right now.” Morgpie said that she only streamed using the ‘topless’ meta for four days before blowing up online — and speculates that Twitch is now taking action against her and other streamers using the meta due to the outrage around such content on social media. “I think, honestly, a big part of that is due to the outrage,” she continued. “Because we are within TOS. Their TOS are very open-ended. Nobody is breaking the terms of service. Me standing here like this, it’s just my shoulders.” That’s not all; Morgpie also revealed that she’s actually fully clothed during her ‘topless’ streams, showing us that she was wearing a tube top and jeans. “It’s just the implied nudity that really freaks people out, I guess,” she said. Morgpie opens up on Twitch ban for viral ‘topless’ stream Morgpie told us that was banned from Twitch for “sexually suggestive conduct” on December 11 — three days after her ‘topless’ streams went viral online. However, she says that the reasons Twitch gave her had nothing to do with the actual content in her broadcasts. According to Morgpie, she was banned for “engaging in lap dances,” “describing a sexual experience in graphic detail for a prolonged time,” and “making explicit gestures toward breasts, buttocks, or genitals on stream.” While she “can kind of see” their thinking behind the last reason, Morgpie never gave a lap dance during her stream nor described a sexual experience in graphic detail. And while she declined to let us in on the length of her ban, she did tell us that she has a big comeback planned, where she plans on returning to fitness content, but will be slowing down on the ‘topless’ streams for now. Morgpie argues she didn’t violate Twitch’s TOS For Twitch’s part, Morgpie claims the site needs to be far more specific in its Terms of Service if they want to avoid content like hers being streamed on its platform. However, she also argues that there’s nothing about Twitch that screams ‘child-friendly,’ noting that broadcasters often play games with sexual themes or even discuss sexual content on a regular basis. “If they don’t want sexual content on their platform, then they need to outright ban that, but I think it would be very, very difficult for them to do so,” she admitted. “I think there are constantly people on the platform that abuse the very vague terms of service that Twitch has.” “I think whether I’m doing it, some other girls are doing it, some guys are doing it. Twitch, they don’t want sexual content. I think a part of the TOS does list that certain, sexually explicit content isn’t allowed. But people stream sex in video games all the time. And people do have sexual discussions on the platform constantly, men and women.” Morgpie says she’s taking every precaution she possibly can — but she and other streamers are going to chase what brings them success. Morgpie even made specific mention of Amouranth, who gained viral fame for her divisive hot tub streams back in 2020 – 2021. “People have been trying to find ways to poke holes in the Terms of Service for a decade on Twitch. You know, that’s why Amouranth is as wealthy as she is. People see that and they see the success that can be made from doing things like what Amouranth did with the hot tub streams. Twitch will find ways to include this kind of content on their platform, you can watch, or you don’t have to watch, but ultimately it is allowed.” “They allow sexual content, but at the same time they don’t,” Morgpie said. “And I think that with the vagueness of the TOS, people are going to find loopholes regardless, because they do allow sexual content and sexual themes on the site.” Morgpie addresses backlash over ‘topless’ Twitch streams She also addressed the backlash against both herself and content like the ‘topless’ meta on social media, noting that a large part of the argument against such streams revolves around protecting children on Twitch. “I just wanted to say, my streams are always labeled 18 plus. You know, I’m taking every step I possibly can there. I love Twitch as a platform and that’s the reason why I’m there and not somewhere else. Over 70 percent of [Twitch’s viewer base] is over the age of 18. So, for the people who are saying that Twitch is predominantly underage, teenage people, it’s just not true. “Even Twitch says that over 70% of their platform is used by people 18 to 34, so Twitch is not a place for kids. There is sexual content and inappropriate content rampant on the platform, aside from what women are doing on there and I think people just need to be more consistent about that.” Ultimately, Morgpie believes it is parents’ responsibility to monitor their kids’ online activity. “Kids and teens will find ways to get to 18+ content, so either Twitch needs to ban all mature content, or make it more apparent that Twitch is for adults,” she said. “Twitter also has an age limit of 13 years, however, hardcore adult content is prevalent and even promoted heavily there. I think this topic is severely nuanced, but personally, I think children should not be allowed on the internet where adults also share the space.”

  • Banned streamer Indiefoxx selling her Twitch clips as NFTs – Dexerto

Banned streamer Indiefoxx selling her Twitch clips as NFTs Twitter/IndiefoxxBanned Twitch streamer Indiefoxx has found a new way to make money by selling clips from her suspended account as NFTs. Indiefoxx was banned for the sixth time in 2021 back on June 28 and she hasn’t been allowed back on the platform since. Despite having her Twitch Partner status revoked and stream link removed from her Twitter bio, the popular ASMR and hot tub streamer has yet to explain what she was banned for or how long her suspension will last. However, that hasn’t stopped her from finding new ways to make money, with Indiefoxx now selling her clips as NFTs. https://twitter.com/indiefoxxlive/status/1413148420156530707 NFTs or Non-Fungible Tokens are units of data called a blockchain that end up representing a digital item, such as a piece of art, a meme, or even clips from banned Twitch streamers. “Hello simps. So, I know a lot of you guys have been asking about Indiefoxx NFTs. Well, they’re here! I have partnered with Eternal and they’re going to be helping me,” she announced in a July 8 Twitter video. “NFTs are like digital trading cards like Pokemon, but of top Twitch moments from yours truly,” she added with a smirk. “They are now very limited! Limited edition now!” Amusingly, many of the moments showcased on the Eternal website at the time of writing aren’t of the streamer in a hot tub or performing ASMR. Instead, they feature IRL clips of Indiefoxx skateboarding, singing, and walking in the street. “All Eternal NFTs are SFW,” Indiefoxx explained in the video description, seemingly implying that her hot tub and ASMR videos aren’t exactly work-appropriate. It’s not clear yet on how many other clips will be added to Eternal’s website or if some of Indiefoxx’s non-Twitch videos will make an appearance. Considering the streamer has yet to be unbanned from the platform and no return date has been revealed, this could be the final bit of Twitch Indiefoxx content fans can get their hands on for a long time.

  • Banned streamer in tears over alleged lack of consistency from Twitch – Dexerto

Banned streamer in tears over alleged lack of consistency from Twitch An up-and-coming streamer has broken down and expressed her frustration at the “inconsistency” of Fortnite-related dancing broadcasts, ExoHydraX was recently met with a permanent ban on Twitch after an accidental clothing mishap among other suggestive clips that teased the line between suitable and unsafe for the platform. With recent examples of notorious streamers being allowed to remain on Twitch, despite similar violations of the community guidelines and terms of service, ExoHydraX was quick to voice her displeasure. Following the Twitch ban, ExoHydraX took to YouTube on October 11 to address her audience and convey her disappointment. Discussing the specific situation that led to the ban, she revealed that a select group of hateful individuals were targeting her stream and mass reporting with the intention of getting her removed from the platform. Becoming a PRO at fortnite dances :weary_cat: pic.twitter.com/atGJcWXvMF — EXO (@ExoHydraX) October 9, 2019 “Somebody can be so f*cking mean and they can get away with it,” the streamer said, explaining how unfair it is that others on the platform can be negative and hurl abuse at streamers with little to no consequence. “These people were saying terrible sh*t and they mass reported me like…I don’t want to f*cking cry,” she expressed. “ It’s not even me getting banned, it’s not even just that, it’s the fact that these were the people that reported me and I just feel like they won.” Discussion begins at the 9:35 mark for mobile users. This particular incident sparked a massive debate within the streaming community as to just how inconsistent the application of Twitch guidelines have been in the past. Reddit user ‘SpareUser3’ stated, “I don’t give a sh*t if they ban suggestive content, and I don’t give a sh*t if they don’t. I think we all just want some consistency across the board and apparently that’s too much to ask for.” “That pisses me off, I’m so sorry for crying. When I think about that it just really pisses me off,” ExoHydraX concluded as she moved on to other topics and tried to make the most of her first full broadcast on YouTube. Not the only banned Twitch streamer to recently switch platforms, Matthew ‘Dellor’ Vaughan was met with a great deal of success upon his transition to YouTube. Perhaps the community will support ExoHydraX just the same following the Twitch backlash.

  • Banned IRL bounty hunter hits out at Twitch – Dexerto

Banned IRL bounty hunter hits out at Twitch Popular Twitch bounty hunter ‘StephenIRL’ has spoken out about the website’s “lack of communication” following his shock perma-ban from the broadcasting platform. StephenIRL is one of the most renowned real-life streamers, documenting his profession as a bounty hunter chasing down people who have been issued with warrants for their arrests, and taking them into the police station. While one would assume this line of work leads to the potential for weapons and violence to be involved, the bounty hunter makes sure his viewers are not exposed to the details, and Twitch seemed fine with these streams. That is, until he was banned on September 11. The streamer, who was banned from broadcasting for “brandishing a weapon on-stream,” took to YouTube on September 25 to clear the air after he had gone dark on social media and Twitch, leaving many of his fans wondering if he had retired from streaming for good. Read more: xQc reveals fan demanded money for “damages” – In his vlog, Stephen recounted the events that saw him perma-banned, before revealing to his fans that he had been effectively muzzled by Twitch on all social media platforms due to the severity of his actions in regards to the law as well as the streaming service. “Twitch was monitoring all my social media and requested I be very limited in my social media engagements. If I had been more vocal, I may not have been unbanned at all,” he explained on Twitter. He expanded on the situation in his vlog. “I find it unfortunate that there was no communication from the day of the event to the ban. I just wish they’d communicated with me before issuing the ban. It took me two days before I even knew what I had been banned for,” he said. Considering the streamer had “brandished a lot of guns” and “blown up a lot of crap,” he was left stunned when this one situation suddenly saw him barred from the platform altogether. For mobile users, the video segment starts at 8:47. “None of this was communicated to me, that they didn’t want this kind of content on their platform, because at that point I would have stopped.” The bounty hunter also raised an issue that many forget when seeing that streamers have been banned – these personalities create entire communities around themselves, many of whom tune in regularly and interact. With bans, they too can be semi-removed from the site. Read more: PewDiePie creates lewd Minecraft masterpiece – “I wish Twitch would consider the fact that when you ban a streamer you’re banning a community,” Stephen said. “People have committed so much time, thousands of hours, and in my case tens of thousands of dollars, to make this stream what it is. “I don’t know if any other streamer goes to the degree that we have gone to as a community to make sure nothing that was in violation of the Terms of Service appears on the stream. My mods see everything 5-10 seconds early and can change scenes or kill the stream.” “Up to this point I thought we were in full compliance of that, no one is ever going to see someone get shot … so I still have a lot of questions for Twitch.” StephenIRL created his Twitch account in 2017, according to TwitchMetrics, and boasted just over 90,000 followers at the time of his ban. So far, the bounty hunter has not returned to the streaming website, but has confirmed he would be broadcasting his profession again “in the next few weeks.” Whether that will be on Twitch or somewhere else, he has yet to announce.

  • Banned hot tub streamer claims Twitch “simply doesn’t care” about transgender creators – Dexerto

Banned hot tub streamer claims Twitch “simply doesn’t care” about transgender creators Twitter: Anne AtomicA banned hot tub streamer named Anne Atomic has claimed Twitch “simply doesn’t care” about transgender creators after getting suspended for reports of “adult nudity” by stream trolls, despite wearing a standard bikini in her broadcasts. Anne Atomic was ecstatic when Twitch introduced a hot tub category followed by hundreds of diversity tags. It created the perfect foundation for her popularity to snowball, and her numbers climbed exponentially. However, the increased numbers also reportedly led to constant raids from transphobes who flooded the chat with hateful comments. They even went as far as reporting her for “adult nudity” despite the fact she hadn’t broken any rules – which ultimately resulted in her ban. With nowhere to turn after feeling like she had been hung out to dry by a company that didn’t support her, she vented about her situation in an interview with Kotaku and slammed Twitch for ‘not caring’ about transgender creators. “I am without a doubt the biggest magnet for hate and transphobes on Twitch as the first, and still the only, transgender hot tub streamer,” she said. “I think it’s just inevitable with the tag. We aren’t forced to use it, though. But I prefer not to hide who I am, and I use the platform as a means to educate people.” But when that hate culminated in her getting banned from the platform indefinitely, she claims Twitch has done little to resolve the issue. And when she tried to appeal the suspension, they only responded to with automated responses. “I get constantly reported by transphobes and misogynists on the platform.” “I really can come to no conclusion except that they either triggered an auto-ban due to reports volume that no one bothered to review since I’m not a partner, or that I scorned the ire of a Twitch admin who did not like what I was doing.” At the very least, Anne wants them to tell her what she did wrong specifically. But she believes that won’t happen. “They simply don’t seem to care enough to even bother reviewing things or so much as even giving a canned reply,” the Twitch streamer said, “Being one of the biggest trans streamers on the platform still is very small by their standards and doesn’t mean much.” Anne loved being a pillar in her community and feeling like she impacted people’s lives. But now that’s all been taken away without a good explanation as to why, and it’s left her feeling “devastated” and uncertain about her future plans.

  • Banned Fortnite streamer pleads for Twitch unban after joking he’s a “child predator” – Dexerto

Banned Fortnite streamer pleads for Twitch unban after joking he’s a “child predator” HydraSZNBanned Fortnite streamer ‘HydraSZN’ has pleaded to Twitch to be unbanned after joking that he’s a “child predator.” On August 20, Twitter/X user ‘yoxics’ called on Twitch to take action against Fortnite streamer HydraSZN after they made questionable jokes about being a “predator.” After being killed by an enemy in-game, the streamer began to call himself a “child predator” and said he “likes kids.” The clip went viral on X, where it’s fair to say much of the community was outraged by the comments, with many calling on the Amazon-owned platform to take action. Twitch finally took action against Hydra on August 24 in the form of an indefinite suspension from the platform. Now, the Twitch streamer, who has since jumped ship to Kick as he appeals to be unbanned, has pleaded to the platform to reconsider the suspension. Fortnite streamer ‘HydraSZN’ pleads Twitch for unban In an August 26 tweet, the 19-year-old Fortnite streamer acknowledged he deserves backlash for the “dumb joke” — but explained he believes an indefinite ban is unfair. “I deserve the hate for making a dumb joke, but if Twitch bans me for this they might as well ban literally thousands of other streamers,” he wrote. “I don’t deserve an indefinite ban, Twitch is my job, and my childhood dream and I was finally succeeding.” He added: “Unban me Twitch. #FreeHydra.” Hydra continued to receive more backlash after his tweet, with many claiming the streamer isn’t taking accountability for his actions after he shifted the blame on a member of the community for “having a vendetta” against him. He hit back: “Many people are saying I wasn’t taking accountability. I fully am, what I said was a stupid shock factor joke. It wasn’t funny, I wasn’t trying to ‘go viral’. My tweet was meant to talk about how unfair the Twitch ban was.” Typically, it’s unlikely for Twitch to reverse their decision when it comes to indefinite bans. However, it’s not completely out of the question for them to do so.

  • Banks says “wheels are falling off” FaZe Clan as they are evicted from house – Dexerto

Banks says “wheels are falling off” FaZe Clan as they are evicted from house FaZe Banks / FaZe ClanFaZe Banks revealed that Clan members have been evicted from their content house by their landlord after just three months, despite multiple warnings. FaZe Clan CEO Ricky “Banks” Bengston announced a self-titled “reboot” of the organization in May 2024, which saw almost every member of the group cut, leaving just 14 creators remaining. Shortly after, a brand-new FaZe house was established, where Lacy, Ronaldo, Jason, and PlaqueBoyMax have been living and making content ever since. However, Banks has revealed in several posts to his Twitter/X account on August 27, that their landlord has evicted them from the content house. “We really just lost the FaZe house,” FaZe’s CEO initially posted, before breaking down the situation further via a lengthy audio clip. “We just officially got evicted from the crib. I f**king told these kids, man!” Banks began. He explained: “I’m tired. I’m exhausted. We’re trying to run this s**t up with no f**king budget, no f**king help. We have a ton of help from a ton of good people, but guys, it f**king feels like that sometimes man! Like, I love these kids, but what the f**k Max?!” “I told these f**king kids, we’re on our last strike with this crib,” he added, revealing that from the next day they had planned to start doing custom “build-outs and production all week to set up for this f**king September Subathon.” FaZe’s CEO stated that the group has to leave by September 1 and all their immediate plans have been scrapped as a result. “This is a year lease that’s broken, that we paid up-front. So, I don’t know what the f**k is good with that. But, that might just be a couple of hundred bands down the f**king toilet!” Banks ended by saying. Despite no official reason for the eviction being provided by Banks, this came a day after FaZe members living in the house took part in a house-wide prank war. This was not the only FaZe house that’s had issues. Another content house was also launched in May, which was home to Kaysan, Silky, Max, and YourRage, before YourRage decided to leave the house due to its “clip farm disease.”

  • Banks reveals why Ninja has an open invite to join FaZe Clan – Dexerto

Banks reveals why Ninja has an open invite to join FaZe Clan Ninja, Mixer / FaZe Banks, InstagramFaZe Clan’s Ricky Banks has revealed that Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins has an open invitation to join the esports organization in the future. Ninja’s streaming presence surged to prominence on Twitch during the course of 2018 and, after landing a huge deal to switch to rival streaming platform Mixer, his name has been making headlines yet again in the summer of 2019. Now, just days after announcing an official partnership with fitness clothing brand Adidas, Blevins has been offered the chance to join one of the biggest and most recognizable esports organizations in the world: FaZe Clan. The open invitation was announced by FaZe Banks during an interview with popular YouTuber Mike Majlak, who posed a very interesting question to the content creator during his August 28 video. “If you could sign anyone, dead or alive, to FaZe Clan right now who would it be?” he asked. “I’d be dumb if I didn’t say Ninja. Of course, he knows. It’s an open invite. He knows that. He’s cool enough to know that,” Banks said in response. FaZe lost one of their major stars, turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney, in 2019 already and have been locked in rather public legal proceedings over Fortnite streamer’s contract for a number of months. Tfue claimed that the contract was “oppressive” back in May. This was followed up by a countersue from FaZe, who say he was in breach of contract and accused their former player of “betrayal”. If FaZe could could indeed secure the services of Ninja, it would undoubtedly be a great business deal. After all, he’s one of the biggest streaming personalities around and is one of the few to break into “mainstream” stardom.

  • Banks reveals David Dobrik’s plans to pay back $100k for Bored Bunny NFT scam – Dexerto

Banks reveals David Dobrik’s plans to pay back $100k for Bored Bunny NFT scam Instagram: banks/YouTube: David DobrikAfter calling out David Dobrik for his involvement in the $6m Bored Bunny NFT rug pull, FaZe Banks has spoken with the YouTube star about it and revealed that Dobrik is planning to pay back the money he earned for promoting the failed NFT project. With the wild growth of NFTs in recent years, with the most popular ones selling for millions of dollars, we’ve seen some of the top influencers getting involved in the Web3 space and looking to cash in. Some, such as Banks and Logan Paul, have made a lot of money from NFTs, and have become fully immersed into the space. On the other hand, you regularly see influencers promoting NFT projects despite having shown no interest in them in the past, having been paid some serious cash to advertise their project. David Dobrik – Bored Bunny Scam pic.twitter.com/HjgrvKwhHl — Caught in 4k (@bestvideosofct) March 27, 2022 Just days after calling out Dobrik for his involvement in the scam, Banks started posting to his Instagram story to say that he’s hashed things out with Dobrik and that they’re figuring out a solution. While they spoke for Dobrik’s ‘VIEWS’ podcast, the episode has not yet been released, and Banks gave some insight in his Instagram story. “This Bored Bunny project approached David and offered him somewhere in the ballpark of $100,000,” he explained. “These guys ran off with however much money that made on Bored Bunnies, David got paid, and people got f**ked, which is just all bad … Ultimately, he was paid $100,000, somewhere in that ballpark, and he’s ready and willing to redistribute that money back into the ecosystem.” Confirming that Dobrik plans to re-invest the $100,000 he earned back into the space, either through paying back Bored Bunny owners or through other means, the YouTube star is clearly looking to clear his name in the NFT space. It sounds like Dobrik is more educated on NFTs now, and should have a better understanding of what he should and shouldn’t do — even if he’s being offered six-figure sums to promote them.

  • Banks responds to claims that FaZe Clan broke the law by signing H1ghSky1 – Dexerto

Banks responds to claims that FaZe Clan broke the law by signing H1ghSky1 Banks / YouTubeFaZe Clan co-owner Ricky ‘Banks‘ Banks has denied claims that the organization broke the law by signing Fortnite streamer H1ghsky1, despite reportedly only being 11-years-old – not 13 as originally claimed. Since the revelation that the player and organization allegedly lied about his age, H1ghsky1’s Twitch and Twitter accounts have both been suspended, with the age requirement for both websites at 13. The young streamer is now broadcasting live on YouTube instead – although his mother must always be present in the room. H1ghsky1 was reportedly only 11 when he signed for FaZe – under the required age for both Twitter and Twitch. The allegations about H1ghsky1’s real age originally came from Tfue’s lawsuit against FaZe Clan, which was included as supporting evidence that the organization was not being run in a professional manner. Tfue‘s lawsuit claims that FaZe pressured the then 11-year-old aspiring pro player, and his family, into lying about his age, in order to secure his signature. However, in a series of Tweets on June 10, Banks denies that any of their dealings with H1ghsky1 were unlawful, after KEEMSTAR was willing to bet $10,000 that no laws had been broken. Banks calls Highsky1 deal “bulletproof” KEEMSTAR had been arguing with Fortnite YouTuber ‘The Fortnite Guy’ over FaZe Clan’s recruitment of the player, and Tfue’s decision to make the allegations initially. Banks also responded, distancing FaZe Clan’s involvement in H1ghsky1’s decision to stream on Twitch, and once again reaffirming that no laws had been broken. “Allowed Highsky to steam and play in the World Cup” what ru even saying dude? I’ve ignored and ignored you but it’s starting to get annoying. 1) Highskys agreement with us is bulletproof and there’s absolutely no laws being broken. 2) We have 0 control in what he does everyday — FaZe Banks (@Banks) June 11, 2019 When challenged on H1ghsky1’s plan to represent FaZe at the World Cup (which players must also be at least 13 to take part in), Banks said that ultimately it was up to the player’s parents. So the fuck what? Highsky was doing his own thing, streaming/ playing before we came in the picture. We loved him, brought him in and just supported what he was doing. If his parents are 100% ok with it and they’ve made the decision as a family to do that, who the fuck am I? — FaZe Banks (@Banks) June 11, 2019 Finally, the FaZe co-owner reveals that competing organizations, including Team SoloMid, where also attempting to secure H1ghsky1’s signature, and that if it wasn’t them to sign the young star, it would have been another brand. Highsky was a signature away from signing with TSM along with a handful of other orgs. Again you don’t know even half of what you think you know lol — FaZe Banks (@Banks) June 11, 2019 The North American team also have another lawsuit from 2018 still ongoing, as failed social media platform Hubrick is apparently seeking over $1 million in damages, after FaZe members allegedly raided their corporate offices in the night. H1ghsky1’s future with FaZe Clan is now unclear, although with the Tfue and Hubrick lawsuits looming overhead, he isn’t even the biggest of the organization’s problems.

  • Banks responds after Rain is “kicked out” of FaZe house – Dexerto

Banks responds after Rain is “kicked out” of FaZe house FaZe Rain, FaZe Banks – YouTubeFaZe co-owner Nordan ‘FaZe Rain’ Shat has been ‘kicked out’ of the FaZe Clan house as stated in a series of Tweets, with co-founder Ricky Banks responding to the issue after a fan claimed he was removed due to mental health issues. Shat revealed the situation in a string of Tweets on May 28, breaking the news and claiming that his “sad boy energy” was “too high.” This understandably incited a wave of concern from fans, which Rain addressed in a follow-up Tweet shortly thereafter. https://twitter.com/FaZe_Rain/status/1266032509734674432?s=20 “It’s 100% my fault,” he wrote. “Don’t blame FaZe. I love you all and I’m sorry to everyone I hurt.” https://twitter.com/FaZe_Rain/status/1266047214721183745?s=20 Rain went on to respond to a fan, who asked, “Bro are you serious? Please tell me you’re okay right now.” “Yes,” he replied. “And no, I’m not okay.” Another fan seemed to accuse FaZe of kicking Rain out of the house due to mental health problems — an accusation Banks was quick to shut down in a Tweet reply. “You’re a f**king moron and have no clue what you’re talking about,” Banks hit back. “You don’t know even 1% of what Rain’s dealing with or going through right now. Kick rocks with that s**t.” You’re a fucking moron and have no clue what you’re talking about. You don’t know even 1% of what Rain’s dealing with or going through right now. Kick rocks with that shit. — FaZe Banks (@Banks) May 28, 2020 While full details of the situation have yet to be revealed, this isn’t the first time concern has been raised regarding Rain’s mental health, by far; the FaZe co-founder sparked worry among viewers after publishing a string of Tweets in October 2019, writing that he didn’t “want to be alive anymore.” Rain has also been open about his struggles with mental health issues in the past, explaining his struggle with depression in a soul-baring YouTube video in summer 2018 after taking an extensive break from the platform. This also wouldn’t be the first time a FaZe member has been seemingly barred from living in the house, either, with Blaze claiming that he “wasn’t asked” to move in due to fellow members finding better success and happiness by living on their own. For now, fans are standing by for further details as Rain receives an outpouring of support from fans in wake of a development that has caught everyone off guard. • Banks Is on the Lookout for a New Recruit to Enter the FaZe House – Dexerto

Banks Is on the Lookout for a New Recruit to Enter the FaZe House Faze Clan / BanksOne of the owners of FaZe Clan, Ricky Banks, has revealed he is on the lookout for a fresh face to join the organization and live in the new “FaZe House”. The YouTube star, who currently resides in the “Clout House” with the likes of Bryan ‘RiceGum’ Lee, also asked fans to help him make the decision, saying: “I wanna recruit someone to FaZe and I wanna throw them in the new house. Who deserves the opportunity? Tag some people” FaZe Clan is one of the biggest esports and online entertainment organizations on the planet and home to some of the most successful YouTubers, streamers and professional players. Presumably Banks is talking about one of FaZe’s Hollywood Hills houses. In July it was revealed that there would be a total of three FaZe houses in the area, all on the same street, including the Clout House and the house that the FaZe Fortnite players currently reside in. Having asked for suggestions on Twitter, Banks is sure to be inundated with suggestions ranging from popular Fortnite streamers to vloggers and YouTube commentators. The former Call of Duty trickshotter and his FaZe Clan colleagues have proven themselves to be astute businessmen since the organization’s creation, constantly keeping their fingers on the pulse of what content, game, or personality is the rise.

  • Banks explains how Tom Brady helped him reunite with Tfue – Dexerto

Banks explains how Tom Brady helped him reunite with Tfue Wikimedia Commons: Jeffrey Beall / Twitter: TTfueFaZe Clan owner Ricky ‘Banks’ Banks had a very public falling out with Fortnite pro Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney in 2019 – but has now explained how NFL great Tom Brady helped the two reunite. As a lifelong New England Patriots fan, Banks has made no secret of the fact that Brady is his idol in life, even suggesting that he would do some unsavory things to the six-time Super Bowl champion as a sign of gratitude. So, despite the dominant quarterback’s move to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in March 2020, Banks still has a lot of love for the man – and Tfue decided to put aside their differences thanks to Brady. Appearing in an episode of Impaulsive co-host Mike Majlak’s ‘The Night Shift’, in which he showed off the new FaZe house, Banks described what went down between the three of them. After revealing that he and Tfue played Fortnite with Brady’s son, Banks added that he got to have a conversation with the man himself, saying: “Turner reached out, because he’s from Tampa… solid move on Tfue’s part [because] obviously we’ve got some sh*t up in the air. “But he knows my love for the Patriots and Tom Brady. He FaceTimed me and I was like, ‘what the f**k could this be about?’ and he says: ‘Yo, I’m about to be talking to Tom Brady, hop on Fortnite’.” (Timestamp 15:49 for mobile viewers) Banks even added that it wasn’t “bittersweet” because of Brady signing for the Bucs – in fact, if it wasn’t for that, Tampa-native Tfue may never have had the chance to connect with Brady at all. As Banks says, this is a solid move on Tfue’s part, knowing how much he loves Brady and putting aside their differences to help him meet his idol. It suggests that, despite ongoing lawsuits between Tfue and FaZe Clan, there’s still a bit of love between the two, and Tom Brady might just be the man to bring them back together.

  • Banks and Blaze slam Nadeshot for comments about Tfue suing FaZe Clan – Dexerto

Banks and Blaze slam Nadeshot for comments about Tfue suing FaZe Clan Nadeshot – Twitter / Banks – InstagramAn online feud has begun to form between 100 Thieves CEO Matt ‘Nadeshot’ Haag and several members of FaZe Clan, following the news that Fortnite BR pro player Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney is suing the org. The news that Tfue filed a lawsuit against FaZe Clan broke on Monday, May 20, with his lawyer claiming that the org was holding the superstar to an “oppressive” contract. As expected, the lawsuit has caused a massive stir on social media, drawing out reactions from a lot of prominent figures within the esports community, one of whom was Nadeshot. “I hope recent news doesn’t affect the broader gaming community’s perception of esports teams,” he tweeted. “There are plenty of organizations in the space whose top priority are their professional players and content creators.” “And for what it’s worth, I’m personally friends with a lot of the owners & staff over at FaZe Clan,” he added. “I know for a fact that the majority of them don’t have ill intentions, but some at the organization just don’t understand the esports ecosystem and take advantage where they can.” 400 Unfortunately for Nadeshot, these comments were taken very seriously by two longtime and prominent members of FaZe Clan – Ricky ‘Banks’ Banks and Lucas ‘Blaze’ Mosing – both of whom posted strong-worded tweets in response. “You’re a piece of shit dude, and when my side of this is heard, you’ll see why,” Banks tweeted. “Way to fucking jump on the bandwagon and chase the clout. You must be dancing right now. Banks even went as far as to threaten the 100 Thieves CEO in his tweet: “Matt, I’m going to personally make sure you regret tweeting this and adding to this bullshit dumpster fire.” 400 Although his responses weren’t as harsh, Blaze made it very clear that he had taken what Nadeshot had said very personally. “Bro what the fuck, none of us can believe you just tweeted this,” he said. 400400 Upon seeing his comments blown out way more than he had likely anticipated, Nadeshot tried several times to defuse the situation and provide a little damage control, putting out a few more tweets in which he made it clear that his comments weren’t aimed at any one of FaZe’s original founding members. “I have the utmost respect for what Banks, Temper, Rain and Apex have created at FaZe,” he tweeted. “We’ve been working together and alongside one another for almost a decade. I apologize if my previous tweets don’t reflect that sentiment. This situation is being blown out of proportion.” 400 Nadeshot ultimately issued an apology to FaZe for “jumping in unnecessarily,” pretty much admitting that his comments had further fueled the fire of drama. “I’ve done my best to avoid unnecessary controversy and drama over the last few years but my tweets today were an oversight on all accounts,” he tweeted. “I’d like to apologize to everyone over at the FaZe Clan organization for jumping in unnecessarily.” 400 This story will be updated with more information as it becomes available. Why is Tfue suing FaZe Clan? Tfue’s lawsuit against FaZe Clan was officially filed on May 20, on the ground that they allegedly limited his ability to pursue his profession in violation of California law. According to Tfue’s lawyer, FaZe were taking an 80% cut of all the revenue from his branded videos on social media, leaving the star streamer with only 20%. In addition to those claims, his lawyer also alleged that FaZe is “jeopardizing the health, safety, and welfare of its members,” which includes serving alcohol to members before they’re allowed to drink, and pressuring underage players to lie about their age.

  • Banks says FaZe is “figuring” out NICKMERCS relationship after reboot – Dexerto

Banks says FaZe is “figuring” out NICKMERCS relationship after reboot FaZe ClanFaZe Banks has revealed where Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff stands with the organization following the reboot and purge of some members. Over the last few years, FaZe has gone through a lot of changes. They’ve moved away from those sniper clan roots, becoming about having a variety of content creators under one umbrella. The gaming organization was also opened up for investment and partnered with B. Riley Principal 150 Merger Corp, but after being listed on the stock exchange, things fell off. The original members, including FaZe Banks, urged the then-leadership to fix things and hand the keys back to the content creators who had helped grow FaZe into what it has become. Well, he got his wish back in October 2023, and quickly removed some of FaZe members that had joined under different leaderships. Despite being a longtime FaZe member, NICKMERCS’ status was left up in the air, but now Banks has clarified a few things. “NICKMERCS. Still currently in FaZe. We’re still kind of figuring out what that relationship looks like,” the FaZe Clan CEO said a July 27 stream. “Great f*cking guy, I love Nick, I love his family.” As noted, FaZe has let go of plenty of employees since being back under Banks’ leadership. 110 employees had been removed at one point, according to Banks. While he had that number at 30, he still wanted to shrink things down to about 10. Nick is a partial owner of FaZe, which he got after leaving 100 Thieves, but he admitted to being left in the dark over the cuts at the time. “I don’t want the drama, I don’t want the bulls**t,” he said. The streaming star has had his own issues recently, being banned from Twitch for the first time for using a transphobic slur.

  • Bank rejects Twitch streamer after she mistakenly claims to be an “adult entertainer” – Dexerto

Bank rejects Twitch streamer after she mistakenly claims to be an “adult entertainer” Twitch/poopernoodleA Twitch streamer ran into some issues at the bank after she didn’t realize what an “adult performer” was when filling out her occupation. Being a Twitch streamer can be a difficult job to describe to folks who are not as tuned in on internet culture and it turns it this can cause some major problems at the bank. When Twitch streamer ‘poopernoodle’ went to the bank and ended up being rejected, it ended up being because she didn’t realize some of the terms she was agreeing to when it came to her job. Hilariously, the streamer believed that an “adult entertainer” fit her job description, but that only resulted in confusion for the Twitch star who had her application denied. Twitch streamer doesn’t know what “adult entertainer” means While on stream, poopernoodle revealed that she was asked what her occupation was “nothing really fit the bill” until she saw one option that stood out to her. “Adult online entertainer, I took that and I was like ‘yeah’ that’s what I am. I’m an adult and I entertain people online,” she laughed. Unfortunately for poopernoodle, this mistake ended up costing her, because the bank immediately rejected her. Luckily, however, she seems to be in good spirits about the whole thing seeing as she joked about it. Regardless of the fact she was a “total buffoon” as she put it, others found her situation comical. “This innocent mistake made my day so much better,” one user remarked. In any case, the next time she applies at a bank, she likely won’t be taking certain occupations so literally.

  • BambinoBecky reveals how KSI stopped her from quitting YouTube – Dexerto

BambinoBecky reveals how KSI stopped her from quitting YouTube Instagram: ksi, bambinobecky[jwplayer mgzBNoPb]UK YouTuber BambinoBecky has explained how KSI completely changed her life and stopped her from quitting YouTube. Olajide ‘KSI’ Olatunji is undeniably the largest YouTuber to hail from the UK, and has become a professional boxer and top recording artist in his career. On the other hand, Becky is relatively small in comparison, with little under 300,000 subscribers but growing quickly — which is why she credits him with changing her career path thanks to one simple tweet. In her appearance on JaackMaate’s ‘The Happy Hour’ podcast, while speaking about her life and career so far as well as the YouTube space, the pair got on to the subject of KSI and his group – the Sidemen — who remain some of the most prominent names on YouTube. Jack brought up the subject of KSI with Becky, asking “What is the KSI stuff that you talk about?” She said: “I remember I was working, and I said I can’t do YouTube and waitressing at the same time. So I was like, I’ll just sack off YouTube then and try make some money because I’m skint.” “Then I went on the True Geordie podcast…” she continued. “Then a couple of months passed… and I woke up and KSI tweeted me and (fellow YouTuber) Eleanor Neale. All he did was say ‘just found my two favourite female YouTubers’ and from then on I hit 100,000.” Timestamp 45:50 Becky revealed that prior to that, she was only on around 13-14,000 subscribers — and had made it to 100k within the week, which is a level of growth most content creators just starting out could only dream of. Since then, she has featured in several videos with KSI, including the ever-popular Sidemen Tinder videos that have no doubt helped her move up the social media chain. Needless to say, Becky probably doesn’t have to worry about waitressing too much anymore — and such is the power of KSI.

  • Bama Rush TikToker’s fans demand answers after she was cut from sorority – Dexerto

Bama Rush TikToker’s fans demand answers after she was cut from sorority TikTok: Bama MorganFans of TikToker Bama Morgan are demanding answers as to why she didn’t get invited to a sorority after Bama Rush Week 2023 given she became an overnight hit on TikTok. Over the last few years, Bama Rush Week has become one of the highlights of the summer for many TikTok users. It’s the week when newly enrolled students at The University of Alabama try and earn themselves an invite to one of the many sororities around campus. The week is typically filled with tasks and events, with many prospective sorority members taking to TikTok to document their experiences. Bama Morgan – real name Morgan Cadenhead – is the latest to pick up a massive fanbase off the back of Bama Rush Week. Her follower count has skyrocketed to over 175k and many of her videos have gotten over 1 million views during the week, however, she never got an invite to a sorority and plenty of her new fans want answers as to why. Who is Bama Morgan on TikTok? At the end of the Bama Rush week, prospective sorority members wait for a phone call on what they call ‘Pref day’ to see if they’ve been invited or not. As Morgan hadn’t been successful in getting an invite, she made an emotional video on it all. “I did not receive a bid or an invitation back which is really hard,” she said, tearing up just shortly after the disappointment. That disappointment didn’t last long, though, as she updated fans to say she was happy for everyone else and that her parents would be visiting her before the school year started to cheer her up. She also got plenty of support from her new viewers, with many of them sharing stories of similar experiences of their own disappointment from not getting a bid. “We are your sisters now,” said one commenter. “This is their loss. They DO NOT DESERVE YOU!” added another. Why did Bama Morgan get dropped? Another TikToker, Sammy, attempted to clear things up by dropping the “real tea” on why Morgan didn’t get an invite. She said that the Rho Chis sorority was looking for more “open-minded” recruits given some of the backlash Rush Week has received over the last year and that Morgan had made some comments complaining about it being an “expensive” process. “She kind of dragged out that narrative a little bit too far, to the point where it looks like she just didn’t wanna be there,” Sammy said. “And dragging out the whole not having money type thing…I don’t care whether she has money, but if you’re gonna milk something or drag something out, I don’t think being broke should be it.” TikTokers have continued to rally around Morgan in the wake of her disappointment, but she hasn’t responded to Sammy’s comments. It remains to be seen if she’ll do so, however.

Anys’ putting “lost” in inverted commas suggests she is just as suspicious as many of her Twitter followers. It is not the first time Pokimane has experienced bizarre interactions with people, revealing back in October that she needed a bodyguard at TwitchCon after receiving some strange messages. Poki appeared to laugh the situation off, replying humorously to a number of fans who joked that they were behind the clothes’ disappearance. Others joked that Greekgodx was the likely culprit, tagging him in the tweet, with the 23-year-old jokingly replying that she couldn’t “believe he’s doing this instead of streaming.” Thankfully it seems like the lost items have been quickly replaced, and Pokimane can focus on getting settled into her new Los Angeles house with the rest of the OfflineTV crew.

  • BadBunny under fire for claiming her life has “more value” than viewers’ – Dexerto

BadBunny under fire for claiming her life has “more value” than viewers’ Twitch: BadBunnyTwitch streamer ‘BadBunny’ is being criticized after she told her own viewers that her life had “more value” than theirs. The incident began on May 11, after the streamer read a message from one of her viewers, which said they “respected her” and “everything she offers.” Despite the kind words towards her, BadBunny dismissed them for not including a donation. “Then give me f**king money!” she blasted. “That’s the way that I register your respect. Do you understand?” After claiming she would start ignoring her viewers, BadBunny went into a rant about how her life was worth more than theirs. “My value is so much more than all of your value put together. Everyone in this chat,” she boasted. “I know every life has value, but like, my life is far more valuable.” This isn’t the first time BadBunny has blasted her own viewers, either: In January, she claimed that people who watch her without subscribing “don’t respect” her as content creator. “Your lives have value, but mine is much more valuable than your life,” she continued. “The fact that you don’t even acknowledge this really disgusts me.” She then proceeded to compare her situation to witnessing a “super ugly dude” going up to an attractive woman and asking her out on a date. “You think we’re on the same level. That’s insulting. And the fact that you think, chatters, that you are on the same level of value as I am, is to be quite frank, insulting,” she rudely concluded. It’s unclear whether the streamer was trolling or if she was serious, but a clip from her stream quickly went viral, being shared by big names such as Daniel ‘KEEMSTAR’ Keem. “I love Twitch, but people like this just make the platform look worse than it already does,” one user wrote. https://twitter.com/Rexvohz/status/1260311445981495297 “Bro who does she think she is?” another commenter asked. BadBunny points finger at ‘hater brigade’ after Twitch ban for hateful conduct Twitch: BadBunnyTwitch streamer BadBunny is once again in the platform’s bad books, having been banned for hateful conduct. However, this time she alleges she was the target of a “brigade” trying to take her down “permanently.” BadBunny, who has 117,000 followers, is one of Twitch’s most popular political commentators. Her divisive opinions have landed her in hot water in the past though. She claimed back in May 2020 that her life has “more value” than her viewers, and has often found herself in the firing lines of other stars — even Dr Disrespect. She’s no stranger to being banned on Twitch, having been taken down for DMCA before. However, she’s now been banned for 14 days for hateful conduct after her April 26 stream. Twitch’s Community Guidelines prohibits “any content or activity that promotes or encourages discrimination, denigration, harassment, or violence based on protected characteristics.” BadBunny stated she was the target of a brigade, and a group of people aiming to take down her channel for good. ““I think I got mass reported.” she said on Twitter shortly after the ban. 2 week ban because ????? • Bad Bunny takes shot at fan after throwing their phone into the ocean – Dexerto

Bad Bunny takes shot at fan after throwing their phone into the ocean Sony PicturesBad Bunny has come under fire for throwing a fan’s phone after they invaded his personal space – but he won’t apologize for it. The incident in question took place in the Dominican Republic as the Puerto Rican rapper walked down a street. A group of people surrounded the star, but one person, in particular, managed to get under Bad Bunny‘s skin. While walking along, a fan rushed in front of Bad Bunny for a quick selfie. Not taking too kindly to that type of intrusion, the “I Like It” singer snatched the phone and threw it into a nearby body of water. The public response has proven mixed, thus far. Bad Bunny addresses why he threw a fan’s phone away Bad Bunny, real name Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, has since addressed the matter in a Twitter post, assuring fans that all who approach him with respect will receive the same in return. However, the rapper says he considers someone putting a phone in his face a “lack of respect.” They’ll be treated as such in return, he added, hinting he has no intention of issuing an apology. Pop Crave shared a translated version of Bad Bunny’s original tweet in the following post: Similar to the original incident, the public response to Bad Bunny’s latest statement seems mixed. While many understand the fan ignored the celebrity’s personal boundaries, they’re of the mind that he could’ve handled the situation better. “So if anyone wants a video or pic of me as I’m walking can I just take their phone and throw it somewhere? No… it doesn’t work that way,” one Twitter user wrote under the Pop Crave post. Others were more understanding of Bad Bunny’s behavior. “Perfect response, never reward disrespect with respect,” someone else said in the same thread.
