  • Bad Bunny blasts Logan Paul in El Apagón documentary – Dexerto

Bad Bunny blasts Logan Paul in El Apagón documentary YouTube: Apple Music, IMPAULSIVEPuerto Rican artist Bad Bunny put YouTube star Logan Paul on blast in his new documentary ‘Aquí Vive Gente’ as part of his ‘El Apagón’ music video. In early 2021, YouTuber, boxer, and budding wrestler Logan Paul notably sold his home in Encino, CA in favor of Puerto Rico’s gorgeous beaches and comparatively low taxes. In fact, the influencer cited taxes as one of his key reasons for moving to the island, which is still a territory of the United States. “I feel like people are wondering, ‘Why Puerto Rico,’ right? Like how random,” Logan said when he announced the move in a podcast episode. “Taxes,” one of his co-hosts answered. “It’s one. It’s a vertical. It’s a big one,” he admitted. Despite Logan’s enthusiasm, not everyone is excited about famous folks moving to Puerto Rico to make a new home for themselves. A law called Act 22 (also called The Act to Promote the Relocation of Investors to Puerto Rico) allows foreigners who move to Puerto Rico to avoid paying capital gains taxes on investments like cryptocurrency, stocks, or real estate — a law that was explained in Bad Bunny’s latest music video. It’s not just a music video, though; instead, Bad Bunny created an entire documentary focusing on Act 22, where he specifically used footage of Logan Paul’s IMPAULSIVE podcast episode excitedly claiming he was moving to Puerto Rico. (Segment begins at 11:12) Bad Bunny’s documentary, titled ‘Aquí Vive Gente,’ or ‘People Live Here,’ takes aim at rich foreigners moving to the island for tax breaks, thus displacing PR natives from their homes and raising the cost of living. Logan Paul has yet to respond to his mention in the doc, which was published on September 16 — likely because he’s busy planning out his future boxing pursuits and building he and KSI’s PRIME Hydration beverage line.

  • Backpacking streamer terrified after viewer’s perfectly timed alert – Dexerto

Backpacking streamer terrified after viewer’s perfectly timed alert IRL Twitch streamer Tallulah from ‘Awkwards_Travel’ was shocked after one of her viewers trolled her with a perfectly timed sound alert. IRL streaming has become increasingly popular over the past few years, with thousands of viewers tuning into platforms such as Twitch to watch those who broadcast their travels. Tallulah, who normally streams her adventures with partner Gaspard on their channel ‘Awkwards_Travel’, was left terrified after one of her viewers surprised her with a perfectly timed alert while she was walking through a forest by herself. Like many others on Twitch, the IRL streaming channel ‘Awkwards_Travel’ has its own points system that viewers can build up by watching the broadcast over long periods of time. The points can then be redeemed for different features and with many others on the platform, it is most commonly used by viewers to request a song to be played. However, in the case of Awkwards_Travel’s journey, it would not be reasonable to play random songs during their IRL streams through places such as Singapore, so they allow fans to choose a small sound byte instead. One of the streamer’s viewers took full advantage of the feature, trolling Tallulah in hilarious fashion by playing a Zombie noise from The Walking Dead straight after she heard rustling in the trees above. Tallulah suspected that monkeys were likely to be found in the forest around her, “I hear rustling and stuff in the trees but I don’t see anything,” she admitted before being spooked by the alert. “Who the hell did that?” the IRL streamer asked, after taking a few moments to breathe following the perfectly timed sound, “not again, oh my god! You almost made me pee my pants.” It did not get any better for Tallulah, as she started to become paranoid after hearing what seemed to be a chainsaw in the distance, “Oh great, Texas Chainsaw is out here too, Jesus guys.” Despite her initial panic, the backpacking streamer could not help but joke around about the jump scare after it happened, later calling out the viewer who pulled off the hilarious prank.

The internet has recently been sent into a frenzy after finding out that one man held a joint baby shower for five different women after getting them all pregnant at the same time. Lizzy Ashliegh, a 29-year-old Brooklyn musician, took to TikTok to make the startling revelation about the unconventional event, at which she was one of the pregnant women celebrating. It featured a picture of the dad-to-be surrounded by five pregnant women, with the text: “Welcome little Zeddy Wills 1 – 5.” The mom-to-be said: “When your baby daddy got four other girls pregnant at the same time,” as she held up the invitation for their baby shower. “I guess we Sister Wives now,” Lizzy added. The video continued to show the rest of the expecting women, which has been viewed by over 10 million viewers. Lizzy revealed when they found out they all had the same baby daddy, they put their differences aside to raise them together for the sake of their children. She added: “We’ve accepted each other, it’s better for the little ones. “We decided to have the baby shower on the same day.” The video received thousands of comments on the situation, which included one person writing: “Let’s bring back shame.” Another commented: “Is this not embarrassing?” Following the widespread backlash, Lizzy took to the platform once again to share a series of snaps showing all the women posing together before dishing yet further details on the situation. She explained: “We love our baby daddy. We will not ruin our babies’ lives. Our families have accepted this. “Nothing left to do but to support each other. Takes a village indeed!” Lizzy continued: “We can’t change the fact that he’s our baby daddy and everything happens for a reason. “We’ve decided to work together and our families are supportive of our decision! We’ve accepted each other. It’s better for the little ones.”

  • Baby Shark set to overtake Despacito as YouTube’s most viewed video – Dexerto

Baby Shark set to overtake Despacito as YouTube’s most viewed video YouTube: PinkfongAs the net’s most popular video-sharing platform, YouTube boasts a significant amount of record-breaking releases — but one of its most-viewed videos could upend a major streak on the site that has lasted for quite some time. [jwplayer mgzBNoPb] Despacito — the music video for Daddy Yankee and Luis Fonsi’s viral song of the same name — has reigned as YouTube’s most-viewed video since 2017, becoming the first video to reach three billion views in August of that year. Since then, it has stayed at the top of YouTube’s most-viewed videos list at seven billion views, having become somewhat of a meme and an all-around easy listening experience for speakers of any language. However, it seems that Despacito’s reign as YouTube’s top-viewed upload could be coming to an end in the near future, as another viral sensation is quickly creeping up behind — and it goes by the name ‘Baby Shark.’ Although the Baby Shark song has been around since before YouTube was even created, it surprisingly surged to popularity in the past few years after being uploaded by South Korean YouTube channel ‘Pinkfong’ in 2016. While the initial video for the song — also made by Pinkfong — was uploaded in 2015, the Baby Shark Dance has become somewhat of a cultural phenomenon, with many parents around the globe becoming all-too familiar with the tune that drives kids wild. Baby Shark Dance currently sits at 6.9 billion YouTube views, and could be set to reach or overtake Despacito at any moment — especially after YouTube star Mr Beast pointed it out on Twitter. Baby Shark isn’t just breaking records on YouTube; the song also made it into the Billboard Hot 100 in 2019, breaking out at number 32 thanks to a 2013 change that took online viewership of songs into account. Baby Shark is about to pass Despacito as the most viewed YouTube video! pic.twitter.com/4e2XYZLwbB — MrBeast (@MrBeast) October 21, 2020 Considering the song’s popularity among children, it doesn’t come as too big of a surprise that it might topple Despacito’s long-standing rule on YouTube, hearkening back to an earlier time when PewDiePie fought against T-Series to gain the most subscribers for a single channel on the platform.

  • Baby Shark becomes first YouTube video to reach 10 billion views – Dexerto

Baby Shark becomes first YouTube video to reach 10 billion views YouTube: Pinkfong Baby Shark – Kids’ Songs & StoriesThe viral children’s song ‘Baby Shark’ has become the first video on YouTube to reach 10 billion views, beating songs like ‘Despacito’ and ‘Shape of You.’ Since its creation, YouTube has grown to be one of the most visited websites on the world wide web. Its first video was uploaded on April 23, 2005, by the founder of the company, Jawed Karim. Shortly after the company was purchased by Google in 2006, the video-sharing platform soared in popularity as it was formed into the website that we know of today with over 26 billion videos uploaded to date. Among those videos are some of the most viewed uploads that the website has ever seen, including the viral children’s song ‘Baby Shark’, which has officially received 10 billion views. Baby Shark reaches 10 billion views on YouTube Uploaded by Pink Fong on June 17, 2016, the baby shark song and its accompanying dance video has officially received over 10 billion views on YouTube, cementing its status as the most viewed video of all time. The video surpassed “Despacito” by Luis Fonzi and Daddy Yankee in November 2020, and has maintained its lead ever since. In addition to its popular ‘Baby Shark Challenge,’ where people film themselves doing the dance, the song stayed on Billboard’s top 100 for 20 weeks straight. Since gaining viral popularity with kids all over the world, the infamous song inspired a Nickelodeon animated series, a special on Netflix, global merchandise, and more. While Baby Shark is the first video to receive 10 billion views, it was not the first to enter the billion view club. In December 2012, Gangnam Style became the first video to reach one billion views just 5 months after being uploaded. Almost 100 videos have joined the billion view club since then, with a large amount of them being popular music videos. While it’s likely we’ll see another viral song join the club in the future, it would be surprising to see it surpass Baby Shark’s iconic milestone.

BaboAbe and xQc confirm return of Rust server for streamers and how it’s changed Facepunch StudiosRust has taken a bit of a backseat amongst streamers as many continue to flock towards GTA RP, but the return of the Rust server could soon change that. At the start of the year, Pokimane, shroud, Myth, and xQc, and more delved into the brutally hard world of Rust. The survival video game is known for its tense gunfights and harsh environments, where players can choose to work together or go it alone. It’s this gameplay loop that led to the Rust streamer server being born. After a number of months of exciting clan wars and hilarious clips, many streamers took a break from Rust. Many left for the crime-infested streets of GTA RP, which is another game that has proven incredibly popular amongst viewers. However, this is all set to change with the return of the eagerly anticipated Rust server. Quite how many streamers will be involved this time around remains to be seen, but there are a number of exciting changes that aim to keep things feeling fresh. Return of the Rust streamer server During his recent Subnautica stream, xQc told viewers that the Rust server would be coming back. “I talked to Abe today, and we’ll play Rust when they do a server again, which is in a month.” This was obviously very exciting news for fans of Rust, particularly those that enjoyed watching xQc’s previous shenanigans. Read More: Summit1g loses it on Rust after death streak – However, BaboAbe gave further insights into the new server and also provided viewers with a start date. “Just wanted to confirm that the Rust content server will be coming back July 1st,” said Abe via Twitter. “Going to be super fun, a lot more vanilla-like and pvp focused this time around so expect a lot of chaos, deaths, and tears!” Just wanted to confirm that the Rust content server will be coming back July 1st. Whether Pokimane, Sykkuno, shroud, Myth, and Valkyrae will return remains to be seen, but either way, it looks like Rust is back on the menu.

  • Aydan reveals he was banned on Twitch for “humping” gaming chair – Dexerto

Aydan reveals he was banned on Twitch for “humping” gaming chair Aydan, YouTubeAydan has been banned for the first time on Twitch over what has been described as “sexually explicit conduct” and the Warzone 2 streamer has since revealed, explicitly, what happened for the platform to make that decision. The Warzone star was banned on December 12, issuing a statement quickly after the suspension was confirmed. Twitch came to the conclusion that the Warzone content creator was worthy of a full week off his channel, for “sexually explicit conduct” during a live stream. “Not sure what the gameplan is,” he tweeted. “But I just wanted to be transparent with you guys and keep you updated.” Since then, the NYSL star has revealed exactly what happened for him to get the ban. Aydan explains why he got first Twitch ban The Subliners creator took to Twitter with an update on the situation, on December 13. He said: “I got some more context behind my suspension. I ended up getting suspended for humping my chair and moaning. “Looks like we gotta turn it down a little bit, lol.” In a year where a Twitch streamer was banned for having sex on the platform in front of a live crowd, it is not a surprise to see the company take a zero-tolerance approach in cracking down on risque content. Groaning alongside your favorite gaming chair, for example. The streamer is set to return on December 19, having been given a seven-day-long ban by Twitch. Until then, fans will have to keep up with Aydan on social media.

  • Aydan calls for stacked Warzone boxing card with game’s biggest streamers – Dexerto

Aydan calls for stacked Warzone boxing card with game’s biggest streamers Twitter, @aydan / ActivisionCall of Duty: Warzone’s best players are used to fighting in-game, but Aydan wants them to take it to the ring. The Twitch star has come up with a “Warzone boxing card” featuring streamers like Swagg, Symfuhny, and TeeP. Gamers are obviously better known for virtual strength than real-world physical prowess. And the stereotypes suggest streamers would rather feast on Doritos than knuckle sandwiches. But it’s 2021, times are changing, and Warzone’s best seem ready to settle things outside of Verdansk. Inspired by the Logan Paul vs Floyd Mayweather Jr. fight, Warzone’s highest earner — Aydan — has suggested that he and fellow competitors try their hand at throwing hands. With an initial seven-fight boxing card idea, Aydan got the blood flowing and egged his fellow streamers on. Some have responded, some have ignored, and all seem to agree on two rules: 1) Tommey has to ref and 2) NICKMERCS vs HusKerrs can’t happen. Can we do a Warzone boxing card? @ZLanerOFFICIAL vs. @HusKerrs @GDbooya vs. @IceManIsaac@Rated_COD vs. @Destroy_215@Symfuhny vs. @DiazBiffle @Aydan vs. @Tommey@ScummN vs. @zColorss@Swagg vs. @TylerTeePC’mon man, I’d watch that — Aydan (@aydan) June 7, 2021 As you can see from Aydan’s proposed card, there are some interesting matchups at play. The obvious heavyweight bout is clear, too, as Swagg and TeeP both have athletic backgrounds and are rumored to be over 6’0” tall. Based on responses, some tweaks to the card have already been made. For one, Booya insists that no helicopters be allowed — a remnant of in-game tournament pain. For another, many have insisted that Tommey, known for investigating hackers, be given the referee role. But if Tommey’s not fighting and NICKMERCS and HusKerrs can’t fight, then what spicy matchup can fans look forward to? Based on Aydan’s recent trash talk, it just might have to be him versus Newbz. While some might still hold out hope that Jake Paul is going to fight a Twitch streamer, it seems that streamers would rather fight among themselves. It’s doubtful that any of these bouts will actually happen, at least any time soon, but you can’t grow a tree without first producing a sapling. Aydan has planted the seed of a Warzone boxing card and now it’s up to fans to drum up hype and see if the roots keep growing. Just imagine how entertaining Dr Disrespect’s walkout music could be…

  • Axiun pleads for Twitch unban 640 days after suspension for TwitchCon incident – Dexerto

Axiun pleads for Twitch unban 640 days after suspension for TwitchCon incident Twitch: AxiunAlmost two years after being banned on the platform, streamer Axiun has put out a public appeal to ask Twitch to unban him and let him broadcast on there once again. All the way back in September 2019, Axiun attended TwitchCon with some friends, an annual party of sorts where all the top streamers congregate, socialize, and celebrate all things Twitch. It normally provides some great content as names from all different communities mix, but it can occasionally cause issues for streamers too. Axiun is the perfect example of this, after he lost his channel completely for a misdemeanor at the event. ❌ Twitch Partner “”AXIUN”” has been banned! ❌https://t.co/lh34I3U8vI#twitch #ban #partner #twitchpartner ☺️ — StreamerBans (@StreamerBans) September 30, 2019 In 2019, Axiun was banned from the platform over concerns that he had been allowing people to use his pass to gain entry. While he initially provided different alibis as to why said friends had his pass — saying that they were simply trying to return his pass to him — he has seemingly admitted that he was in the wrong and was lending out the pass. Now, he’s posted a Twitlonger explaining the situation and, most importantly, pleading for his channel to be unbanned. “Not a day goes by that I don’t think about how stupid it was chancing my account on lending out my badge,” he said. “I have faced my punishment and have grown from it. I learned from my mistakes and am now asking for another chance… I hope one day they’ll give me a chance to redeem myself.” Regarding my twitch ban @twitchsupport Read: https://t.co/zQisqwAdpe — AXIUN (@Axiunn) June 30, 2021 Twitch do not speak publicly on bans from the platform so it’s unlikely they will respond to Axiun’s pleas, though it’s not impossible that they reconsider his ban at some point. He and his fans will wait in hope, but ultimately, it’s rare that we see permanent bans result in someone getting their account back. For Axiun, he might have to start reconsidering his options.

  • Axel Webber reveals unexpected reason why his Tinder account got banned – Dexerto

Axel Webber reveals unexpected reason why his Tinder account got banned YouTube: VIEWSTikTok star Axel Webber revealed that his Tinder account got deleted out of the blue, but it wasn’t due to any mistakes on his part. Axel Webber is currently experiencing a major rise to online fame — and it all started when he moved to New York City on an extreme budget just four months ago. The 22-year-old influencer now boasts over 4.3 million fans on TikTok due to his viral videos showing off his penny-pinching skills in one of America’s most expensive cities. Netizens might also remember the time he documented his process applying to Julliard… only to get rejected. The story exploded online, prompting outrage against the school on their social media accounts before Webber stepped in to mediate with his fans. Now, he’s making even bigger strides by collaborating with major brands to promote their products… one of these being the super-popular dating app, Tinder. During a podcast with fellow internet star David Dobrik, Webber explained that he’s a regular Tinder user — or, at least, he was, until the app suddenly deleted his account one day. “I use Tinder,” he explained. “As soon as I came to New York I was like, I gotta meet people, dude. I didn’t know anyone.” Click here if TikTok fails to load. Axel Webber reveals why Tinder banned his profile According to Webber, Tinder ended up banning his profile because they thought he was impersonating himself. Not a totally uncommon occurrence in the modern age, but annoying, nonetheless. “So, you are using Tinder?” Dobrik asked. “Oh yeah — well, not anymore, because they banned my account,” Webber answered. “Apparently, they thought I was impersonating myself.” “Even though you’re working for the brand?” Dobrik asked, incredulously. “No special privileges, man. That report button.” (Topic begins at 3:09) Luckily, it seems like Webber is on good terms with the company despite this hiccup. Besides, it’s always better to be safe than sorry — in the past, fakers notably caused popular streamer Asmongold to call out game developers, asking for them to put a stop to players impersonating Twitch stars like xQc.

Avril Lavigne’s first TikTok with Tony Hawk has taken over the internet Twitter: Avril LavigneMusician Avril Lavigne teamed up with Tony Hawk for one of the most creative TikTok debuts that the internet has ever seen, and its safe to say it’s gone incredibly viral. Plenty of celebrities, athletes, and other famous faces have dipped their toe in with TikTok. Some have linked up with TikTok stars for collabs, while some have even pulled out TikTok dances at concerts and sporting events. Canadian singer-songwriter Avril Lavigne finally joined the masses on TikTok on June 21 and she’s already off to a rip-roaring start as her debut post has gone super viral. The 36-year-old, who is best known for her songs that debuted in the early 2000’s, teamed up with legendary skateboarder Tony Hawk for her first post. With her classic Sk8er Boi track playing in the background, Avril sang along, and as soon as the chorus kicked in, Tony did what he does best, and pulled off some tricks on his skateboard. It’s a pretty clever crossover, and it’s also rather funny. The internet seems to agree too, as the post has picked up over 12.5 million viewers, and close to 3 million likes. On top of that, Avril has almost racked up 1 million followers on TikTok, even though she only has the one post. Outside of TikTik, both Avril and Tony have been trending across social media as some fans can’t quite believe that they teamed up for a TikTok. “Avril Lavigne and Tony Hawk in a TikTok video? Yes,” said one fan. “Avril Lavigne making her TikTok debut with Tony Hawk is EXACTLY what I needed to see today,” added another. Who knows if they’ve got any more crossovers lined up, but this one was about as perfect as a start that you could have.

AVGN explains why he turned down role in Godzilla vs Kong YouTube: Cinemassacre / Warner BrothersGodzilla vs Kong has finally released to positive reviews — but it could have had quite an interesting cameo from one of YouTube’s OG content creators, the Angry Video Game Nerd. “He’s gonna take you back to the past, to play the…” well, you know the rest. The Angry Video Game Nerd (real name James Rolfe) is a hallmark of YouTube history, who continues to give viewers hilarious reviews of older games that might not have made an impression on players for all the right reasons. Having joined YouTube in 2006, Rolfe has created quite a name for himself over the past decade based on his humorous “Angry Video Game Nerd” persona, reviewing games in a stereotypical “nerdy” way (while also throwing out the occasional and wildly creative insult or two). While Rolfe is known for reviewing games and movies, he actually had the chance to be in such a production for Godzilla vs Kong, which released on March 31, 2021. While most content creators would leap at the chance for such an opportunity (let us not forget Ninja’s upcoming flick with Ryan Reynolds), it seems that Rolfe had to turn down the role due to far more important developments in his life at the time of filming. “Adam Wingard, the director, did a good job, and seems to have made this from a fan’s perspective,” Rolfe said during a March 31 video review of the film. “You know, weird thing, he actually offered me a cameo three years back, but my second daughter was about to be born, and I had major priorities there.” (Topic begins at 6:15) Despite this, Rolfe seems to have no regrets about not being able to join the flick, and is even happy to sit back and enjoy the movie from a fan’s point of view. “I’m happy to be detached from the film to be able to sit back and view it the same as I would with any other monster film,” he continued. “…now that [Adam’s] done with that, how about that Nerd episode?” While it’s unclear if Wingard will ever join Rolfe for an AVGN episode, it’s definitely cool to learn that we could have seen a piece of internet culture take part in mainstream media — but who knows what further opportunities await him down the road?

The final slide of the video stating, “but then the girl you left her for did the same thing to you.” This continues the narrative that Jojo left Avery, despite the former stating that she felt as though Avery was only using her for views and didn’t care about her or the relationship. • Avengers Tower LEGO set rumored to be biggest ever for Marvel – Dexerto

Avengers Tower LEGO set rumored to be biggest ever for Marvel Marvel StudiosNew rumors claim an Avengers Tower LEGO set inspired by Age of Ultron will launch later this year with a hefty price tag attached. Marvel-branded LEGO sets have become quite the phenomenon over the last several years, thanks in no small part to the MCU. While smaller sets lead the charge in terms of quantity, LEGO hasn’t held back on unleashing larger offerings packed with thousands of pieces. Late last year, MCU faithful were treated to the release of a 4,049-piece Hulkbuster set inspired by the MCU’s Infinity Saga. Priced at $550, this particular collectible was a behemoth in more ways than one. Now it appears LEGO aims to outdo the Hulkbuster with a newer Marvel set scheduled for late 2023. Avengers Tower could be the MCU’s biggest LEGO set to date Sharing info from fellow Reddit user FluffySky6, itsjustajoe revealed that another MCU-inspired LEGO set will launch in November 2023. According to the uncorroborated rumor, the set in question will be modeled after Avengers Tower as it appeared in Avengers: Age of Ultron. The upcoming Avengers Tower build allegedly bears a $525 price tag, an unsurprisingly steep ask given that it will feature 5,261 pieces. Should such information prove accurate, this will mark the largest Marvel set in LEGO history – a record currently held by the aforementioned Hulkbuster. Notably, the rumor further claims that a $70 Wolverine Mask will go on sale sometime this summer. There is no estimated number of pieces listed, but if it’s anything like the Batman, Carnage, or Venom masks, fans can expect it to consist of anywhere between 400 to 560 pieces or so. The supposed Avengers Tower LEGO set has been long-requested by fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. If the alleged November 2023 due date is accurate, official details should go live sooner rather than later.

  • Avani Gregg speaks out after fan gets death threats over Twitter joke – Dexerto

Avani Gregg speaks out after fan gets death threats over Twitter joke YouTube: Avani[jwplayer ksH6zuKH]TikTok star Avani Gregg is hitting back at critics after one of her fans purportedly received death threats, which came about as the result of an unfortunate bandwagon Twitter trend that took place in her comment section. In the age of social media, it’s easy to get lost and fall behind when it comes to jokes, memes and trends — particularly when those trends are all within your own fanbase and happen at lightspeed. Such an instance occurred for TikTok star Avani Gregg on August 25. The drama began after one of her fans called out the influencer for appearing to play favorites among her viewerbase in a bitter tweet. “Hi, so me and thousands of your fans are upset with you,” the viewer wrote. “It’s okay that you like her, but some times you don’t even pay attention to other fans. That makes us very sad and unmotivated. There are other people besides her.” Gregg’s fanbase quickly made a meme out of the fan’s comment, filling up the TikToker’s replies with the copy/pasted message. Gregg herself even got in on the trend — although, as it all happened so quickly and she didn’t see the original tweet, she didn’t actually know what it was all about. Shortly thereafter, the fan who had originally posted the comment began to receive death threats and other hurtful messages, leading some viewers to lash out at Gregg for reposting the meme. “Y’ALL ACT LIKE I KNOW WTF IS GOING ON,” Gregg hit back at critics. “I thought it was a joke toward Amelie, not towards that girl. NOW I’M GETTING BLAMED? How tf was I supposed to know when I didn’t see the original tweet?” https://www.instagram.com/p/CEXnEGEnC22/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link “Y’all need to stop,” she continued. “If it’s getting out of hand, I’ll stop commenting, following and replying to you guys because honestly, I’ve had enough. Learn to love each other and be happy for each other.” i don’t enjoy people feeling like this so i may just unfollow everyone one here for a lil i’m sorry — avani dicaprio (1990s edition) (@lilpapivoni) August 26, 2020 Gregg even threatened to unfollow everyone on social media for a short time in response to the fiasco — a scandal that blew up in everyone’s faces within a 24 hour period, showcasing the danger of miscommunication and the speed at which harmless memes can turn into serious online harassment.

  • Avani Gregg slams “messed up” drama between Nessa Barrett & Jaden Hossler – Dexerto

Avani Gregg slams “messed up” drama between Nessa Barrett & Jaden Hossler YouTube: Pap Galore / Instagram: Nessa BarrettTikTok star Avani Gregg has weighed in on the current relationship drama surrounding Nessa Barrett, Josh Richards, Mads Lewis and Jaden Hossler — and it’s safe to say that she isn’t a fan of what went down. In quite possibly one of the most confusing TikTok love quadrants ever, influencers Nessa Barrett and Jaden Hossler struck up a romance after filming a music video together earlier this year… despite being involved with other people at the time. Their ex-partners, Josh Richards and Mads Lewis, were left feeling understandably burnt out by the entire ordeal — and it looks like the internet has taken their side, with the new couple becoming the most controversial romantic duo online right now… especially considering that Barrett and Lewis used to be besties. It’s not just random commenters who are decrying the scandal (although Richards made it clear that no one was “officially” together at the time); high-profile TikTokers are also publicly lambasting the situation, including the Hype House’s Avani Gregg. Gregg is a popular TikToker in her own right. Boasting over 24 million followers on the viral video app, Gregg was part of the Hype House in its heyday before the TikTok content collective lost some of its biggest stars. When asked about the ongoing drama between Hossler, Barrett, Lewis, and Richards, Avani stated that she didn’t know exactly what had gone on between them, but was quite clear that she found the whole issue “messed up” if it all was true. View this post on Instagram “If I was closer with them, I might have an opinion on it, but because I don’t really know what exactly happened, and the whole situation, I can’t really say anything on it,” Gregg began. “It’s kinda wrong,” she continued. “It depends on the situation that it’s happening in, like if there’s other stuff behind it, but if you get with someone that’s your [best friend’s ex-boyfriend], that’s kind of messed up.” (Topic begins at 2:05) Thus far, it seems that most of the TikTok fanbase is in agreement with Gregg… but with Nessa Barrett teasing the “truth” about her side of the story in an upcoming song, there’s no telling what more will be brought to light.

  • Avani demands Instagram ban Lovely Peaches after Charli D’Amelio threats – Dexerto

Avani demands Instagram ban Lovely Peaches after Charli D’Amelio threats Instagram: avani, lovelypeachesmusic100[jwplayer MCWtJUdj]Hype House TikTok star Avani Gregg has demanded that Instagram follow TikTok’s lead by banning Lovely Peaches, after she made some serious threats to Charli D’Amelio. Lovely Peaches, real name Brittany Johnson, has long been a particularly controversial name on social media, regularly displaying explicit content on her feeds and garnering attention from the biggest stars as a result. On top of her frequent questionable activities, she made headlines on July 2 after claiming in a video that she had hired a 30-year-old man to assault Charli D’Amelio, and TikTok quickly banned her from the platform as a result. Lovely Peaches had little under 1 million followers before her ban, but has 1.1m followers on Instagram, with an even bigger platform. Avani has requested the Facebook-owned photo-sharing platform changes this, though, and has asked them to ban her after what has unfolded and de-platform her to try and prevent these things from happening. In a tweet posted on July 2, Avani spoke directly to Instagram to make the request, and garnered a lot of backing from her followers and fans. She asked them to take away her platform before saying that “y’all keeping her platform up makes you a part of the problem,” begging them to “please take into consideration” what (and who) they allow to be on there. .@instagram take away @ lovelypeachesmusic100 platform ???? y’all keeping her platform up makes u a part of the problem. please take into consideration what you’re allowing on ur platform?!??!! — avani dicaprio (1990s edition) (@lilpapivoni) July 2, 2020 In the replies to Avani’s tweet, fans recount other occasions in which Johnson should have been banned, including the explicit content in her Instagram Live sessions and making various other threats throughout her time on the platform. Whether or not the app actually acts remains to be seen. While TikTok were quick to remove Peaches after her threats against Charli were made, Instagram have allowed her account to stay up almost 24 hours after Avani’s tweet.

  • Avalanche of 100 Thieves and The Mob briefly Twitter banned – Dexerto

Avalanche of 100 Thieves and The Mob briefly Twitter banned L: Avalanche R: TwitterUpdate at 12:56 PM EST on September 16: Avalanche has since been unbanned on Twitter. Original story below. Avalanche, a popular content creator for 100 Thieves and The Mob has been suspended on Twitter. The Mob superstar has become more well-known since he and his team signed with 100 Thieves for his hilarious tweets the hijinks they take part in on stream, and that has been amplified since the group got their own house. On September 16, it was discovered that Avalanche’s Twitter has been suspended, but there hasn’t been a reason given for it just yet. Given the connections to 100 Thieves, it’s unlikely this suspension will last very long, but that remains to be seen since we don’t explicitly know what led to this. Twitter suspensions aren’t that uncommon with members of The Mob as fellow members Froste and Classify have run into similar issues with their accounts. With someone who tweets as much as Avalanche, there’s sure to be problems from time to time. This suspension comes on the heels of several prominent Fortnite leakers having their accounts banned through the abuse of the report system. The leakers claimed they were targeted as an unverified account, which all of them are, receives enough reports about the same issue, the account has the potential to be banned. In terms of Twitter followers, Avalanche has the second most out of the group, with Classify having the most. The Mob as a whole have been gaining a lot of new fans since they joined 100 Thieves, and with their new house, we’ve seen even more new content rolling out. The four streamers took part in a stream in August announcing the house, where Avalanche proclaimed they would be pumping out content on day one, where he then brought in an air mattress to do backflips onto. Once we learn more about Avalanche’s ban, such as the reason or length, we will let you know.

  • Source: Ava Louise wants Addison Rae to “put the past behind us” amid new Monty Lopez romance – Dexerto

Source: Ava Louise wants Addison Rae to “put the past behind us” amid new Monty Lopez romance YouTube: The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon / Instagram: avalouiisePopular influencer Ava Louise spoke out about her new romance with Monty Lopez and offered an olive branch to his daughter, TikTok star Addison Rae, after their brief spat last year. Addison Rae is one of TikTok’s most popular creators, boasting over 88 million followers on the viral video app… but right now, the internet is laser-focused on her dad, instead. This summer, 46-year-old Monty Lopez became a hot topic of conversation after a 25-year-old woman exposed her relationship with the TikTok-famous father in a series of shocking Instagram posts. His wife, Sheri Easterling, unfollowed him on social media amid the drama, as did his daughter, Addison Rae — and things have only been getting wilder. Lopez challenged rapper Yung Gravy to a boxing match and even dropped a diss track on him after the artist flirted with Sheri. More recently, the older man made an OnlyFans account, where he called out his ex-partner in a pointed post. Lopez has also struck up a new romance with controversial influencer Ava Louise, who also has a large presence on OnlyFans as well as platforms like Instagram and TikTok. The two debuted their relationship in a TikTok video on August 20, where the new couple shared a kiss. This isn’t the first time Ava Louise has been involved with the Rae family; in 2021, she publicly flirted with TikToker Bryce Hall when he was in a relationship with Addison (who was decidedly not very happy about the whole ordeal). Considering her new relationship with Addison’s dad (and her comments about being the TikToker’s “step-mom”), some fans are wondering if there isn’t some beef between the two stars… but Ava Louise wants the two to “put the past behind” them, according to our sources. Ava Louise “very happy” in new relationship with Monty Lopez “I am very happy in my relationship with Monty, as he is a Sagittarius and I am a Leo,” she said of her romance with Lopez in an exclusive statement from a source. “We both connected being social media menaces and fire signs. I wish for nothing more than a blended family. I have been spending a lot of time praying in church for peace and union. I am very excited for the holidays and would love nothing more than to spend it as a family.” Ava Louise explains past flirting with Bryce Hall “Considering this is not the first dad I have dated, I have ample experience as a step mother and welcome Addison into my life with open arms,” she added. Louise says she “hopes we can put the past behind us” and, according to the source, “was on lot of Adderall during my time pining for Bryce Hall, which increased my sex drive dramatically.” She has now “turned a new leaf.” “I also had a recent spiritual awakening and realized men my age aren’t my thing,” she added. “Considering I spent $15,000 on a BBL, I don’t want to ruin my body with kids of my own. Adopting Monty’s kids is a dream come true. I’ve always wanted a big family and being a milf is an exciting concept! I am going to do my best to be a good stepmom, and I want Addison to know I have no interest in her current boyfriend, as he is far too young.” Addison can rest easy knowing that Ava isn’t after her man, this time around. While she has yet to make a public statement regarding the ongoing drama between her parents, sources say she’s “mortified” by the ordeal.

  • Ava Louise slams public for “hate” she’s received over Monty Lopez romance – Dexerto

Ava Louise slams public for “hate” she’s received over Monty Lopez romance Instagram: Ava Louise/Monty LopezAva Louise has spoken out about Sheri Easterling’s relationship with Yung Gravy and the double standard between their relationship and her own with Monty Lopez, condemning the hate she’s received from the public. After Yung Gravy and Sheri Nicole Easterling — Addison Rae’s mom — made their red carpet debut at the VMAs, tension between the young rapper and Easterling’s ex-husband Monty Lopez has continued to escalate. While the two have been firing off at each other online, another voice has now been thrown into the mix. Content creator Ava Louise, who has recently been seen kissing and spending time with Lopez, has gone online to express her frustration at those who are criticizing her relationship with him. In a recent TikTok, she highlights the difference between how people have reacted to Yung Gravy and Sheri’s relationship compared to her own. “Gravy getting praised for dating Sheri whose twice his age but me getting hate for being 24 & dating Monty.” Her words were in response to the TikTok community’s response to an August 21 video Lopez uploaded including footage of Louise and Lopez kissing at a charity fundraiser basketball game. The comments section of the video is much less supportive than the videos and content that centers on Yung Gravy and his relationship with Sheri. The feud between Lopez and Gravy doesn’t seem to be letting up anytime soon. Since Lopez challenged Gravy to a boxing match, the situation has only managed to go from bad to worse. He has since released a diss track on the rapper and even created an OnlyFans account in which he reportedly called out ex-partner Sheri. Ava Louise has a solid following on platforms such as TikTok, OnlyFans and Instagram. In 2021, Louise had a small run in with Addison Rae after she publicly flirted with Rae’s then boyfriend Bryce Hall. And while all this drama is focused on her family, Addison Rae herself has stayed as far removed from it as possible. However, sources have said that Rae is extremely “mortified” by the situation.

  • Ava Louise claims Monty Lopez “cheating” didn’t cause breakup with Addison Rae’s mom – Dexerto

Ava Louise claims Monty Lopez “cheating” didn’t cause breakup with Addison Rae’s mom Ava Louise / Monty Lopez, InstagramAddison Rae’s family has experienced a very public breakup between Monty Lopez, her father, and her mother, Sheri Easterling, in recent months. Yet, a source close to Monty has come forward claiming these cheating accusations didn’t actually cause the split. On August 23, Monty was spotted kissing TikTok creator Ava Louise, who went viral in 2022 for licking a toilet seat. Monty was accused of cheating on his wife in July with other women and the couple has since parted ways, as seen at the VMAs where Sheri shared a smooch with rapper Yung Gravy. The drama has pushed their daughter, Addison, to unfollow both of them on social media – not commenting on the situation publicly. Questions still remain about why they ended things, but a source close to Monty has decided to potentially spill some tea on the matter. Ava Louise makes big claims about Addison Rae’s mom In a series of comments on TikTok, reported by TikTokroom, Ava Louise penned a number of serious allegations against Sheri and her immediate family. “Sheri kept him from his daughter that’s like 28. Sheri’s dad stole like 200k from Monty. Sheri wouldn’t let Monty go near his daughter because it wasn’t hers,” Louise posted. These serious claims have not yet been verified by the family. “Wouldn’t let Monty financially support the daughter either. And it’s why they actually kept splitting up, not because of Monty cheating.” “Sheri was super mean to Monty’s daughter, wouldn’t claim the step-grandkids, whole mess.” Sheri and Addison Rae have not yet commented on the remarks at the time of writing, with Monty also remaining quiet on the matter since Ava posted the allegations.

  • Ava Kris Tyson slams Sneako over “transphobic” comments – Dexerto

Ava Kris Tyson slams Sneako over “transphobic” comments YouTube: Sneako / Instagram: kristysonAva Kris Tyson has slammed Sneako’s “transphobic” comments criticizing MrBeast after he came to her defense amidst the NICKMERCS drama. After NICKMERCS showed his support for Dr. Disrespect on June 22, things quickly escalated. MrBeast’s longtime friend and on-screen personality Ava Kris Tyson shared a snippet of NICKMERCS’ response, in which the controversial streamer mocked pronouns. NICKMERCS then stated that Tyson “should be ashamed,” accusing her of “leaving behind your wife [and] child, to play pretend.” Shortly after, MrBeast came to the defense of his friend, clarifying that Tyson was “literally always with her kid” who was “always smiling.” Now, more content creators have chimed in, with former MrBeast employee and Rumble streamer Sneako agreeing with NICKMERCS. He encouraged the philanthropic Youtuber to “stop pretending like this perversion is normal” – sparking a back and forth between him and Tyson. “Sneako doesn’t see Jimmy putting wells in Africa, helping the blind see, and the deaf hear as saving lives,” Tyson shot back, insisting Sneako would only consider MrBeast to have “made a difference in this world” if he openly declared “trans [as] bad.” Sneako wasn’t willing to back down, however, stating that if Tyson wanted to “pretend to be a woman”, she should “do it off camera”. He went on to allege that Tyson was ‘damaging’ MrBeast’s “philanthropic reputation,” writing, “Do not confuse a generation of children by celebrating puberty blockers and genital mutilation.” To this, Tyson simply questioned whether the Rumble streamer was “mad [MrBeast] kept the tr*nny and not your loser ass?” Sneako attempted to refute this by insisting his departure from MrBeast’s channel had allowed him to become his “own man,” though Tyson believed instead Sneako was “lying” to make himself “feel better.” “Being your own man isn’t sucking off grifters,” Tyson said. “Have a great time in 10 years when you’re only remembered for being a racist c**t.” As of now, Sneako has yet to respond, putting an end to the pair’s back and forth for the time being. MrBeast has also not offered his thoughts on the matter since his initial tweet defending Tyson. This isn’t the first time Sneako has disagreed with his former boss’s support of Tyson, previously getting into a heated exchange with Asmongold over the matter.

  • Ava Kris Tyson officially steps away from MrBeast in response to allegations – Dexerto

Ava Kris Tyson officially steps away from MrBeast in response to allegations Instagram: KrisTysonAva Kris Tyson has responded to allegations that she “groomed” a young fan, and has revealed that she’s left MrBeast’s team. The allegations first sparked on July 21 after several YouTube videos shared messages supposedly sent by Kris when they were 20 years old. At the time of the messages, the alleged victim was 13 years old. LavaGS, one of the alleged victims, came out in defense of Tyson – saying that the accusations were “massive lies and twisting the truth.” “Ava never did anything wrong and just made a few edgy jokes. I was never exploited or taken advantage of,” they said. On July 23, Ava Kris Tyson responded to the accusations, apologizing for their actions and revealing that they have left MrBeast’s team. “I would like to apologize for any of my past behavior or comments if it hurt or offended anyone. It was not my intent. Seeing recent events, we’ve mutually decided it’s best I permanently step away from all things MrBeast and social media to focus on my family and mental health,” she said. Later that day, Ava added further remarks beneath her initial post, where she called her past behavior “unacceptable” but maintained that she never “groomed” anyone. “I humbly apologize to anyone I have hurt with my unacceptable social media posts, past actions, and to those who may feel betrayed by how I used to act online,” she wrote. She continued: “In past years, I have learned that my old humor is not acceptable. I cannot change who I was, but I can continue to work on myself. “I don’t want these accusations to impact the hundreds of people who work at MrBeast, which is why I have stepped away.” Since the allegations broke, several prominent content creators have shared their thoughts about the situation, including Twitch star Pokimane, YouTube streamer Valkyrae, Ludwig, and more. Pokimane said that “any inappropriate behavior towards minors is unacceptable,” and that she didn’t know all the details about the ordeal at the time of posting. Valkyrae has publicly denounced Ava’s apology, calling it “disappointing and disgusting” in a quote-retweet. At the time of writing, MrBeast has not responded to the situation. This comes just weeks after Dr Disrespect admitted that he sent inappropriate messages to minors through Twitch’s Whisper feature back in 2017, and that it was the reason behind his ban from the Amazon owned platform in 2020.

  • Autistic teen arrested after saying police officer looked like a “lesbian” – Dexerto

Autistic teen arrested after saying police officer looked like a “lesbian” TikTok: nikitasnow84Seven West Yorkshire Police officers arrested a 16-year-old autistic teen after she allegedly told a female officer, “You look like my lesbian nanna.” The West Yorkshire Police are being accused of heavy-handedness after an incident on August 11 saw an autistic girl dragged out of her house and arrested with a “homophobic public order offense.” The teen’s mother, Nikita Snow, filmed and posted the incident on TikTok to her account, ‘nikitasnow84.’ The footage has sparked outrage online, with many calling for action to be taken against those responsible for the arrest. “This is what police do when dealing with autistic children,” Nikita wrote on TikTok. “My daughter told me the police officer looked like her nanna, who is a lesbian. The officer obviously took it the wrong way and said it was a homophobic comment [it wasn’t].” The footage shows Nikita’s daughter hiding in the corner of a cupboard and having a panic attack while officers crowd around her. At one point in the TikTok, Nikita explained that her daughter was “punching herself in the head as she’s distressed.” After being repeatedly told that the young girl was autistic, the offended officer replied, “I don’t care.” Nikita wrote, “The officer then entered my home… My daughter was having panic attacks from being touched by them and they still continued to manhandle her.” The video has since been removed from TikTok as “someone reported the post for bullying.” Nikita updated concerned viewers, letting them know that her daughter had been released without charges and that the officer involved was being investigated. Nikita also clapped back at a viewer who pointed out that her daughter had “[a lot] of [piercings] for someone who [doesn’t] like to be touched,” revealing her daughter pierced herself to avoid physical contact with others. The West Yorkshire Police released a statement in regard to the incident in which they said, “A 16-year-old girl was arrested on suspicion of a homophobic public order [offense], West Yorkshire Police has now reviewed the evidence and made the decision to take no further action… West Yorkshire Police’s Professional Standards Directorate is continuing to carry out a review of the circumstances after receiving a complaint in relation to the incident.” Assistant Chief Constable Oz Khan said, “We recognize the significant level of public concern that this incident has generated… We would like to reassure people that we will take on board any lessons to be learned from this incident. “We do appreciate the understandable sensitivities around incidents involving young people and neurodiversity and we are genuinely committed to developing how we respond to these often very challenging situations.” For all the latest entertainment news, be sure to check out our page here.

  • Author’s debut novel becomes best-seller after TikTok clip goes viral – Dexerto

Author’s debut novel becomes best-seller after TikTok clip goes viral TikTok: internetfamouslol / RedTexas author Shawn Werner’s debut novel has become a best-seller after a TikTok clip showing the writer selling his book at a grocery store took social media by storm. TikTok is a haven for viral content of all sorts. In the past, the app has sparked interest in a slew of products, and has even caused a few of them to sell out in stores. Items like a pink slip-dress from Zara became unavailable in the brand’s online shop in the blink of an eye, and Steve Madden bags were quick to disappear from retailers after they became popular on TikTok. Now, it looks like there’s another big seller on the rise, thanks to TikTok’s magic — and it’s warming hearts across the internet. Author’s book becomes best-seller thanks to viral TikTok On July 2, TikTok user ‘Red’ posted a video to the platform showing Texas author Shawn Warner doing a book signing at a local grocery store for his very first novel. “This new author seemed super defeated when I walked past him,” the poster wrote. “So before I left the store, I decided to go back.” In his video, Red made sure to promote the author and his book, ‘Leigh Howard And The Ghosts Of Simmons-Pierce Manor,’ which follows a teenage girl and her adventures with a ghost who has multiple personalities. The heart wrenching clip took TikTok by storm, racking up over 17 million views in just five days. Commenters were quick to claim they’d buy his book — and buy it, they did. In just four days’ time, Warner’s book rose to the top of Amazon’s best-seller list, as told by Red in a follow-up video. It’s true; one look at Amazon’s best-seller list shows Warner’s novel in the number-one spot. Warner even created a TikTok account in the wake of his viral success and published a reaction video thanking all the viewers who brought his novel into the spotlight on Amazon. “I want to thank everybody for the love and the kindness on the video that Red posted,” he said. “It’s totally unexpected. I’m in shock. I don’t even know what to say about it at the moment.” Oddly enough, this isn’t the first time that TikTok has pushed an author’s work to the forefront; back in February, the daughter of novelist Lloyd Devereux Richards promoted her father’s work on TikTok eleven years after he’d published it, similarly sending the book to the top of Amazon’s best-seller list.

Authorities reveal cause of death for TikTok star Cooper Noriega Instagram: cooper.noriegaThe cause of death for late TikTok star Cooper Noriega has been revealed, six months after the 19-year-old star’s tragic passing in June 2022. News of Noriega’s passing shocked the internet earlier this year, with the star’s friends and fellow creators posting tributes to the late influencer in the wake of his tragic death over the summer. While no cause of death was publicly released at the time, an official LA County medical report claimed the TikToker was found deceased in a parking lot. Authorities rule Cooper Noriega’s death as result of accidental drug overdose Months later, authorities have officially revealed the cause of Noriega’s death, which they state came about as the result of an accidental drug overdose. According to an updated version of the public medical report, the TikToker passed away due to “combined effects of alprazolam, fentanyl and lorazepam” on top of “recent clonazepam use.” Noriega’s drug use wasn’t a secret to his community. Days before reports of his death hit the news, the influencer created a Discord channel for mental health, which he announced on Instagram. In the post, he shared a statement he’d made in the channel, where he revealed that he had been “struggling with addiction” since he was “nine years old.” “You may think that’s crazy, but that’s the life I’ve been dealt,” Noriega wrote in his post. “I would like to use the influence I’ve been given to create a space built on spreading awareness and normalizing talking about mental illness.” Noriega also expressed a desire to create a rehab facility “where people aren’t traumatized at the end of their recovery, and where the staff members are trusted people.” Since Cooper’s death, multiple TikTok stars have come out in support of the influencer’s family, with names like Griffin Johnson, Bryce Hall, Addison Rae, Nessa Barrett and more spreading love and awareness in Noriega’s memory.

  • Twitch streamer accused of running over dog with car under investigation – Dexerto

Twitch streamer accused of running over dog with car under investigation Twitch/sidneukeAuthorities in Poland are investigating and the prosecution has been notified after a Twitch streamer allegedly ran over a dog while using her phone. Twitch streamer ‘sidneuke’ faced the wrath of the internet earlier in February after a horrific incident where she appeared to run over a dog on the road. The incident occurred only when the streamer began looking at her phone and reading Twitch chat. With her eyes off the road, she appeared to hit a dog and there may have been other animals around at the same time. Although Twitch banned sidneuke, likely for distracted driving, there could be far more serious consequences on the way. Twitch streamer investigated after allegedly hitting dog with car According to Polish media, the Lower Silesian Inspectorate for Animal Protection has been made aware of the incident and has alerted the prosecutor’s office. “We decided to notify the prosecutor’s office in this case. The first issue that is beyond doubt is that dogs should not run free,” they said in a statement. “However, since they were already running, then: [she] should [have] stopped and reacted. It’s empathy and social duty.” (Warning: the video may be disturbing to some viewers) It should be noted that in Poland, it’s against the law to be using a cell phone while driving and the alleged crash just makes the situation that much more serious. Following the incident, sidneuke privatized her social media platforms and has yet to address her actions or her Twitch ban. It’s also not known how long she will be banned or if the Amazon-owned site is working with Polish authorities. This is hardly the first time that alleged animal abuse has been a hot topic on Twitch. Infamously, popular streamer Alinity found herself in trouble after she “tossed” her cat during a game of Apex Legends.

  • Australian YouTuber under fire after spraying gamers with deodorant at local event – Dexerto

Australian YouTuber under fire after spraying gamers with deodorant at local event YouTube: BogglesAn Australian YouTuber is under fire after making a video spraying gamers with deodorant at local event DreamHack Melbourne, sparking criticism of their poor taste in what classifies as a ‘joke’. Conventions, especially those related to gaming, can be quite the stink fest at times. Dubbed ‘Convention Funk’ by the cosplay community, it generally can’t be avoided as packing hundreds of people in a confined space can be quite the sweaty affair. However, an Australian YouTuber seemed to have taken it upon himself to ‘fix’ this issue by spraying deodorant in the vicinity of crowds at DreamHack Melbourne last month. Just hours after sharing these antics, the wannabe content creator has been heavily criticized and even had action taken against them from event organizers ESL. In a vlog from fledgling YouTuber Boggles titled, “spraying gamers at gaming convention”, he can be seen going around one of the halls of the convention spraying multiple cans of deodorant into the air. A DreamHack employee soon asked him to stop, to which he seemingly complied. The segment brought criticism towards Boggles nonetheless, as many pointed out that people with asthma could have suffered a severe attack due to the amount of deodorant he was carelessly spraying around. Nick Bobir, founder of Australian esports org The Chiefs, said, “Good way to get yourself blacklisted from future events like PAX/DreamHack/IEM.” He continued, “Health aside it would have been funnier to see him do this at an AFL or NRL crowd and see what they thought of the hilarious joke.” Soon after going viral among the Aussie gaming community, raking in more than 100,000 views on Twitter, Boggles has now landed in the crosshairs of ESL. It appears they may have been banned from future ESL events in Australia, as the event organizer tweeted out a response to the video 24 hours later. “Individuals who create at the expense of others, and who potentially risk the safety of others in the course of doing so, will most likely find themselves unwelcome at future events we hold.” Continuing to say, “In this instance, action has been taken.”

  • Australian YouTuber sued by politician for $500k after throwing insults – Dexerto

Australian YouTuber sued by politician for $500k after throwing insults FriendlyJordies, YouTube / Sunshine Coast DailyYouTube comedian Jordan ‘FriendlyJordies’ Shanks has been hit with a lawsuit from Australian politician Clive Palmer demanding up to $500,000 AUD in damages following a series of insults in his satirical videos. Comedic YouTubers often take aim at national and international personalities, roasting them for their actions, views, and sometimes their weight. FriendlyJordies has been left with a $500k intention to sue, however, after one politician took particular offense to his jokes. Over a series of videos ahead of the Australian election this year, Shanks dubbed the former federal member of parliament a “fatty mcf*ckhead,” a “dense humpty-dumpty,” and more, all of which were listed as defamation in the letter from Palmer’s attorney. FriendlyJordies told fans during his response video, simply titled ‘fatty,’ that he believed he had not damaged Palmer’s national reputation after calling him a ‘fatty mcf*ckhead’. “You do realize that for a defamation allegation to be successful, it has to be proven I lowered your standing in the eyes of the public?” the popular Australian comedian asked in a 25-minute video hitting back at Palmer’s letter. “If your overall goal is to escape extreme embarrassment and humiliation, then making it a legal obligation for me to prove you’re a ‘fatty mcf*ckhead’ in court … has to be the worst possible way to achieve that goal. You’ve moved it up from a privilege to an honor.” For mobile users, the video segment starts at 3:24. Shanks also poked fun at himself, as well as the hefty $500,000 ($340,000USD) price tag Palmer slapped on the alleged defamation, by pointing out that because he’s a YouTube star and a young adult, he has very little money to his name even before a lawsuit. “I’m a millennial, going bankrupt doesn’t scare me. I don’t have a house. I have as many assets as seats you have in parliament: none. I’m not going to capitulate to you, you fat toad, which is not a defamatory term,” he said. “This Macbook’s my mom’s. I’ve been desensitized to the emotional needs of others, and as such I’m your worst nightmare. I’m a robot with nothing to lose. See you in court tub tub.” Shanks, who also travels around Australia performing stand-up comedy shows, doubled down on his stance regarding Palmer’s weight, and revealed a clothing line branded with the slogan ‘Clive Palmer is a Fatty McF*ckhead’. Read more: xQc got kicked out of a TwitchCon party – The t-shirts, which come in both censored and uncensored options for fans, also have small fine printed reading “in my opinion” at the bottom so that, as FriendlyJordies claimed, no one wearing the yellow shirts can be sued. Clive Palmer held office in Australian parliament from 2013-2016. He most recently spent $60 million AUD on a failed bid to reclaim his seat in the nation’s 2019 election. The cost was reportedly more than the combined budget of both Australia’s major parties combined. FriendlyJordies currently boasts more than 300,000 followers on YouTube, mainly from Australia. He has also extended his reach to the United States in recent times with videos poking fun at Donald Trump, and American commentator Steven Crowder.

Australian TikToker deletes account after backlash from criticizing American flag Twitter: wilderpatriotAn Australian TikToker deleted her social media account after receiving backlash for her confusion over the amount of American flags she saw while visiting the USA. After Australian TikToker Mia Chloe traveled throughout the United States, she shared a video of herself seemingly confused about the abundance of American Flags in her surrounding area. Chloe’s comments on the red, white, and blue representation weren’t received well by viewers, causing her to be garnished with criticism from nearly everyone who saw her now-viral video. Since sharing her opinions, Chloe has deleted her TikTok account due to the number of commenters taking issue with her remarks about the USA’s flag. Texas Governor Greg Abbott tells Australian TikToker to “Go back to Australia” Chloe began her TikTok video by commenting on the plethora of American flags she saw while walking around a suburban neighborhood, saying, “I’m just gonna say it… there are too many American flags.” Chloe continued, “They’re on houses, they’re on cars… I saw them on couch cushions.” She then mentioned that America was the “only” country that does such a thing, as she said that she wouldn’t even be able to point out the Australian flag. After Chloe shared her video to TikTok, Texas Governor Greg Abbott took to Twitter to share his feelings about the clip, telling the TikToker to “Go back to Australia.” Before deactivating her TikTok account, Chloe also called for Americans to “stay humble,” as she felt that enough was enough with the representation of American sovereignty. We’re the United States of America. Don’t like seeing our flag flying, go back home. We won’t miss you.” Another commented about the issue, saying, “I’m proud of this flag and what it stands for.” While someone else joked about going out to buy a few more flags for their collection. However, the American flag wasn’t the first time she expressed her apparent disapproval for America. Chloe had also previously uploaded another TikTok video saying American supermarkets, such as Walmart, are a ‘trap.’ Chloe isn’t the only TikToker to have deleted her account after receiving a huge amount of backlash. In February, a fitness influencer deleted her TikTok profile after being called out for filming and mocking an old man at her gym.

Australian TikTok star claims life is “ruined” after pleading guilty to selling cocaine Instagram: Eessa AbdallahA popular Australian TikToker has pleaded guilty to supplying a prohibited drug. Known on their socials as eessavibe, the 22-year-old has gathered 590K followers on TikTok alone by publishing comedic sketches and unfiltered rants. Abdallah first gained attention on the platform in 2021 after publishing an emotional video detailing their mother’s struggle during the recent global crisis. According to initial reports from News.com.au, The TikTok star’s guilty plea relates to an incident dating back to March 25, 2022. On a night out, they allegedly supplied less than a gram of cocaine to a patron at a venue in Sydney’s affluent eastern suburbs. A month after the initial incident, Eessa Abdallah was then supposedly found with less than a gram of cocaine in their possession at another venue in Woolhara. Police contend that the amount of the drug on their person suggested an intent to sell. Despite the guilty plea, Abdallah’s lawyer Mohammed Shukur convinced the court to adjourn sentencing while Abdallah underwent mental health treatment. “It’s clear he perhaps requires some psychological assistance,” he said. At the time of these two offenses, Abdallah was still subject to a conditional release order. The content creator breached a good behavior bond for separate offenses. The bond related to earlier instances in which Abdallah pleaded guilty to two counts of possessing a prohibited drug and driving a motor vehicle when his license was suspended. The legal troubles have not stopped them from posting on their preferred social channels, however, with Abdallah posting to TikTok as recently as three days ago at the time of writing. The TikToker will appear in court again in early August where their fate relating to the more recent drug charges will be revealed. When questioned by local journalists after his recent appearance, Abdallah told them “You’re ruining my life”. Abdallah is not the only influencer who’s had recent issues surrounding Cocaine. A Kick streamer in the UK was recently shown engaging with the drug live on the platform.

His past girlfriends include a bevy of actresses and models who are all thin, blonde, and young — that is, until they turn 26, when he seemingly decides they’ve aged out of his preferred dating demographic. Although Leo is seemingly single (at least, according to reports), it looks like he tried to pick up Australian influencer and Instagram model Stephanie Miller — but she wasn’t interested in getting with the A-List celeb. Miller told the story during an episode of her “KICPOD” podcast with friend Laura Henshaw, where she claimed she was introduced to DiCaprio at a nightclub while traveling. Australian Instagram model ghosts Leonardo DiCaprio She claims that the ‘Great Gatsby’ star introduced himself with the classic “French, double kiss on the cheek” before starting a conversation with her about what brought her into town. However, it wasn’t long until the actor asked for her digits, supposedly saying he’d “love to take you out for dinner at some of the nicest restaurants around here.” Unfortunately for Leo, Stephanie had just begun dating the “love of her life,” who is now her husband, Josh Miller — and she wasn’t interested in giving up the man she’d set her heart on for so long. “I just decided to lie,” she explained. “We had one of those traveling SIM cards. So, we did have a number, but I was like, ‘Oh, we don’t have one! We’re just here for a couple of days.” One of her friends wasn’t in on the plan, though, and ended up actually giving out their phone number… but Stephanie says that she and her buddies “never replied” to him after he texted the phone. That being said, she couldn’t help but brag about getting Leo’s digits to her friends and family — and even to her then-boyfriend Josh, who seemed to be cool with it, giving an excited, “Sick!” in response to the news. Australian influencer dropped by brands after admitting to killing cats as a child Instagram: emmaclaiirAustralian influencer and model Emma Claiir has been dropped by several of her sponsors after admitting to killing two cats as a child in a podcast episode. 28-year-old Emma Claiir is an Australian influencer who boasts over 106k followers on Instagram, where she shares snapshots of her daily life with fans. The new mom, who gave birth to son Jett on April 12, is decidedly less popular now after admitting to some shocking acts of animal cruelty on a podcast episode. On top of her career as a lifestyle influencer, she’s also got her own podcast, titled Simply Chaotic… the latest episode of which has now landed her in hot water with sponsors. During a recent episode of her podcast, Claiir admitted to killing her pet cat when she was nine years old by “swinging” the animal around. “I killed my cat,” she revealed to friend and co-host Kristy Jean. “I didn’t mean to. I was young. I was a child. I was swinging my cat around. Like, I was thinking it was just a stuffed toy, and I accidentally let go of it.” Claiir went on to laugh while relaying the story before claiming that the feline had died of “fright.” “I just want to say, I’m giggling about it now, but this happened years and years and years [ago],” she explained. “And, like, I was a f*cking little child.” That’s not all; Claiir went on to claim that she’d also killed one of her friend’s cats, shocking viewers… and, apparently, also her sponsors. Emma Claiir dropped by brands after admitting to killing cats as a child As of April 19, Claiir has been dropped by at least three brands as a result of her story. MCoBeauty, Princess Polly, and Lust Minerals have since ceased working with the influencer, publishing statements to their Instagram stories distancing themselves from the new mom. “We were dismayed by this story, and will no longer be working with Emma in future,” MCoBeauty said. “Here at MCoBeauty, we take instances like this extremely seriously and do not condone animal cruelty of any kind.” Claiir has since reacted to the backlash against her podcast, publishing two separate statements to Instagram addressing the issue. In her first statement, Claiir appeared to hit back at the outrage, calling her story a “bit of light humor.” “It happened 21 years ago,” she wrote. “I was a small child… Accidents happen and you all need to chill.” However, she walked back that sentiment in another story published shortly thereafter. “I am well aware that the story was not light humor and in fact very serious,” she wrote. “It was not intended to come across the way that it did as it was simply just a story from the past about an accident that was made as a little kid, but I can see how it has come across like that.” Claiir isn’t the first influencer to have faced backlash for cruelty towards cats, either; earlier this month, internet sensation Hasbulla also came under fire after allegedly abusing his pet cat in a viral video.

  • Australia set on banning children from social media: Legislation plans explained – Dexerto

Australia set on banning children from social media: Legislation plans explained UnsplashAustralia is set to introduce new minimum age limits for children accessing social media, proposing that kids under 14 be banned from using the platforms. As announced by Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese on September 10, his government plans to introduce a nationwide cut-off age for social media access, although a proper age limit has yet to be set. According to a report by High Court Chief Justice Robert French, they want to set the age limit to 14. However, the Prime Minister said in his “personal view” the minimum age should be set at 16. The government is currently waiting for the conclusion of an age-verification trial, which is set to begin its final phase of testing imminently. Albanese said they will specify an age limit once the trial has ended. Australia’s child social media ban explained The push for the ban initially came from South Australian Premier Peter Malinauskas, who commissioned French to outline legislation that establishes a minimum age to access social media platforms. In French’s report, he proposed a bill that would ban any child under the age of 14 from accessing social media. Kids aged 14 or 15 would require parental consent. The bill imposes obligations for social media platforms to implement new systems that will stop underaged children from accessing their platforms and that will get parental consent. The age-verification trail that Albanese’s legislation is waiting on was announced back in May, however at the time, it only focused on restricting access to adult content. In July, the trial expanded its tests to also include restricting children from social media sites, however has yet to determine an appropriate minimum age. Nor is there any word on a method for how the new rules will be enforced. Albanese said of the ban in his announcement, “I want to see kids off their devices and onto the footy fields and the swimming pools and the tennis courts, we want them to have real experiences with real people. “Because we know that social media is causing social harm. This is a scourge, and we know that there are mental health consequences.”

AustinShow is now the latest in a string of content creators to depart the popular gaming and entertainment brand, closing the chapter after two years with the team. Having joined in March of 2021, this news comes almost two years to the day since partnering up with the crew, likely reaching the end of his initial contract. “No bad blood and nothing but love to all my former teammates,” he said upon publicizing his departure. “Unfortunately not the right fit at this time.” However, it appears the internet celeb may just have another place to call home in a matter of days, as AustinShow teased another announcement to follow “this week” in the very same post. Throughout his two years with the organization, the popular content creator appeared in a vast array of 100 Thieves productions. Be it in regular YouTube videos or livestreamed shows, even the odd merch promotion, AustinShow was featured prominently in his time. His exit comes amidst a series of departures from the North American organization, however. AustinShow follows the likes of TinaKitten and neekolul, all of which have fled 100 Thieves in the past few weeks. These prominent names all leave the team during a period of scrutiny, in which widespread layoffs have come under fire. Founder and co-CEO Nadeshot himself has even addressed the tumultuous period head-on, stating he will “regret” the layoffs “for the rest of [his] life.” As for where AustinShow ends up next, is anyone’s guess for now. We could see the content creator join another established team right away, as his announcement implies, or he could remain solo for the time being and simply continue on independently as he did for many years prior to 100 Thieves. We’ll be sure to update you here in the coming days as further details emerge.

AustinShow host denies crude allegations from now-banned Twitch recruiter Instagram, @austinontwitch[jwplayer mfcRpjb4]Austin, of the Austin Show, has vehemently denied allegations levied against him in a live stream by a former show recruiter and producer, Claw, who has since been banned from Twitch. The Austin Show, formerly known as the Rajj Show, is a popular Twitch personality and reality show, including an infamous -style segment. In a candid live stream, Claw claimed Austin, as well as other recruiters, have abused their power to have romantic relations with people who want airtime on the show. “I’ve f**ked two girls in the past three years and neither of them have been on the Austin Show … Go ask any other recruiter for the Austin Show, including Austin himself, if he can say the same thing. Well that’s the other thing I’ll expose, too: Austin uses the show to basically farm gay simps and s**t,” Claw said. Claw alleges Austin and other show staff have obtained personal gain by taking advantage of their ability to give interested parties public exposure on the channel. These allegations call into question the fairness with which personalities are recruited, as well as the morality of abusing a position of relative power. While he expands that “it’s all public, by the way,” the veracity of his claims have since been refuted by Austin. While he decided not to respond directly, Discord messages show Austin’s denial. In Austin’s response to questions from members of his Discord server, he explains the levied allegations are “baseless” and not “worthy of a response.” Further, he expanded that he has “never had a physical relationship with any guy from Twitch ever,” and that he has “flirted around a bit, of course, like any other human, but never as it pertains to getting someone on my show.” For people hoping that Claw would be able to respond to the refutal on Twitch, that seems unlikely to occur. After showing a screenshot that included a blurred, naked woman, he has been permanently banned from Twitch. https://twitter.com/ClawOnTwitch/status/1301603701308743684 https://twitter.com/ClawOnTwitch/status/1301629686511001606 Claw has continued to speak out about the situation on Twitter, despite the denial by Austin and general disapproval of the online community. In response to his tweets, users have commented in hopes he will move on from the uncomfortable situation. While one user recommended that he “take a break from Twitter for a bit,” others have asked that he “seek help.” Given the frustrated tone he has taken up on social media, another response was succinct: “Keep your head up.”

Sophia, a now former Grade 3 teacher from Austin, Texas was fired after a TikTok video went viral where she revealed notes from a meeting with her boss regarding teaching kids a Harry Potter book study, their legal rights, and more. Austin, Texas teacher fired over viral TikTok “Okay so today I got pulled into a check-in meeting with my admin at school,” Sophia revealed. “But my favorite amongst them is ‘We noticed an intentional attempt at teaching your students about their legal and constitutional rights.” After reading off the line, the former teacher began wondering why that would even be a concern for the school. Among the list were questions regarding a Harry Potter book study, complaints about how long Sophie was taking to answer emails, and why her students were sitting during the Pledge of Allegiance. The former teacher was interviewed by a local news station on June 9, 2023, revealing that the situation caused her quite a bit of anxiety. “It just felt like a very demoralizing meeting. I think that’s really the word for it, where I didn’t feel supported, and I felt disrespected,” said Sophia. District administration claimed that her video on TikTok interfered with her ability to work, which lead to her termination. The TikToker added: “They made it clear that it wasn’t. It didn’t have anything to do with my instructional practices or what I was teaching or how I was teaching. And it had everything to do with the fact that I had embarrassed one of my administrators on TikTok.” Since then, the teacher has traveled to the US Capitol quite a bit to advocate for teachers across the country. Austin McBroom’s brother Landon accused of “physically & mentally hurting” partner YouTube: THIS IS L&SLandon McBroom, the brother of ACE Family YouTuber Austin McBroom, has been accused of abusing his long-term girlfriend Shyla Walker. In a post to her Instagram story, a tired-looking Shyla posted that she had been “dealing with pure evil people for months.” “My heart is broken and my soul is so tired,” she said in the post. Alpha Walker, Shyla’s brother, then posted on his own Instagram story. In the post, he accused Landon of taking away Shyla’s car, “physically and mentally hurting her,” trying to take “everything” from her, and trying to “make [Shyla] seem crazy and play the victim in front of millions.” Alpha also said that he would be “cooling off” contact with any mutual friends that still associated with Landon. “When family’s involved and I find out the truth and it’s this crazy … just don’t cross that line and disrespect mine.” In light of these accusations, two of Landon’s cousins, Alexis and Julianna, shared stories of the former couple’s behavior in a series of Instagram comments. Julianna implied that Landon had left “physical marks” on Shyla in the past, while Alexis claimed that during a trip they all took to Thailand a few years ago, the two had a disagreement over who was editing the video for their joint YouTube channel. Alexis claims that following the disagreement Landon went home, and that when she arrived at the accommodation the pair was staying at, the door was broken. She also accused Shyla of sending her sister “nasty” text messages and questioned whether “prank” videos where Landon “beat her up” were really a prank. Up until recently, Landon and Shyla shared a joint YouTube channel, “THIS IS L&S,” which has over 3 million subscribers. https://twitter.com/defnoodles/status/1396247022500417537 However, in a video uploaded on May 6, it was revealed that Landon would be stepping back from the channel to focus on his boxing career and that Shyla would be assuming full control. Although they briefly split in 2018, they soon reconciled and had one child, Souline Amour McBroom, in 2019. Neither Landon or Austin have spoken publicly about the accusations made on social media.

Austin McBroom’s brother accused of using Pinterest pics to fake luxury life YouTube: Landon McBroomYouTuber Landon McBroom, brother of the ACE Family’s Austin McBroom, has been accused of faking a luxury life on social media after fans found that some of his posts were taken from Pinterest and Tumblr. Austin and Catherine McBroom from the ACE Family have been at the center of several controversies over the past few months, mostly centering around the YouTubers vs. TikTokers pay lawsuit, and legal trouble surrounding Catherine’s skincare brand Gateway 1212. Although, this time it’s not Austin that’s in the middle of the drama, but his brother Landon. Landon also has his own YouTube channel with 160,000 subscribers and is active on social media platforms like Instagram and Snapchat where he regularly posts updates about his life. However, some eagle-eyed fans spotted that some of Landon’s stories look awfully familiar. Upon doing some digging, they discovered that several posts he had uploaded to his story were actually originally posted to other platforms like Tumblr or Pinterest. View this post on Instagram The images included pictures of designer handbags, a private jet, and an image of a man and woman’s leg interwoven, which was found to have been posted to Twitter back in July. People thought the discovery was hilarious and immediately started posting their reactions in the comment section. ‘That’s so embarrassing, if that happened to me I would stay in my house and not leave,” one replied wrote in all caps, others calling the situation “awkward” and “embarrassing.” Landon has yet to respond to the internet’s discovery. This isn’t even the first time an influencer has been caught out for trying to make it seem as though they’re living a super luxury lifestyle. Back in September 2020, several influencers were exposed for using a fake private jet set to pose for Insta pics.

  • Austin McBroom vs AnEsonGib postponed just week before boxing match – Dexerto

Austin McBroom vs AnEsonGib postponed just week before boxing match YouTube: The ACE FamilyYouTube star Austin McBroom has announced that his July 30 boxing match against fellow creator AnEsonGib might be canceled just a week out from fight night. Austin McBroom and AnEsonGib have been beefing ever since the Battle of the Platforms in 2021. Gib notably wanted “revenge” against McBroom over the legal fallout that followed, and finally got his chance in 2022. The two were slated to face off in the boxing ring on July 30… but it looks like this anticipated fight won’t take place – for now. On July 20 – ten days before the match – McBroom uploaded a video to social media claiming that their fight may be postponed. According to McBroom, the blame falls neither on him nor his promotional company, Social Gloves, and instead left it up to Gib to explain in the near future. “I just woke up to some unfortunate news this morning from my team,” he began. “I’m sad, frustrated, pissed off. All I can say is that it has nothing to do with me or Social Gloves.” “But the fight – Austin vs Gib – may potentially have to be postponed. Out of respect for Gib, I’m gonna let him explain his situation.” McBroom went on to state that his team wishes him to continue with the event and pick a new opponent – but with just a week left, it’s unclear if he’ll be able to snag a sub in time. McBroom’s Instagram post included a possible allusion to Gib’s health, as Austin wrote in the caption: “Health comes first.” AnEsonGib responds to McBroom fight delay It wasn’t long before AnEsonGib enlightened fans about the abrupt change in schedule by citing additional physicals that he needs to take. “I’m primed to fight this individual,” he said. “But unfortunately I’ve been told I have to do more medicals for this to be sanctioned as a pro fight.” AnEsonGib will be on his way to LA soon to perform the necessary tests, and Social Gloves told the YouTuber that the “fight is not cancelled, it is postponed.”

Austin McBroom vs AnEsonGib gets official fight date after sudden delay Instagram: Social GlovesAustin McBroom vs AnEsonGib is officially back on track after being suddenly delayed due to health issues last month with a new date for early September. The boxing match between YouTube stars Austin McBroom and AnEsonGib was initially slated for July 30, 2022. Unfortunately, this match was abruptly postponed due to health issues on AnEsonGib’s end. Gib was required to pass several health screenings before being cleared to fight. In the midst of this news, McBroom claimed that Social Gloves was working to reschedule the bout for early September, although no other information was given for several weeks afterwards, leaving fans in the dark. On August 15, Social Gloves officially revealed that the bout is still on, and is taking place this September. Austin McBroom vs AnEsonGib is taking place on September 10 — just over a month out from its initial date. The event is scheduled to start at 6 PM PT / 9 PM ET. However, it looks like the Crypto Arena isn’t on the table anymore. Instead, this fight will throw down at the Banc of California Stadium in Los Angeles. Tickets to the event are set to go live “soon,” with more information promised to be released in the coming days. No changes seem to have been made for the McBroom vs Gib fight card, either, with all fighters still a-go for this influencer boxing extravaganza – one of many that has experienced issues and delays, following problems with Jake Paul vs Hasim Rahman Jr. and KSI vs Alex Wassabi in the past month.

  • Austin McBroom to box AnEsonGib after YouTubers vs TikTokers fallout – Dexerto

Austin McBroom to box AnEsonGib after YouTubers vs TikTokers fallout Instagram: austinmcbroom, social glovesACE Family star Austin McBroom is officially slated to fight fellow influencer AnEsonGib nearly a year after the fallout of the infamous YouTubers vs TikTokers boxing event. In June 2021, fourteen YouTubers and TikTokers faced off in the boxing ring to determine the superior platform. Ultimately, team YouTube ended up sweeping the competition. The ACE Family’s Austin McBroom notably wiped the floor with his opponent, TikToker Bryce Hall, in the evening’s main event. Since then, the ACE Family has been involved in a number of lawsuits, with a number of influencers claiming they hadn’t been paid after participating in the boxing extravaganza hosted by LiveOne. McBroom’s legal troubles with LiveOne were finally resolved early in 2022. The ACE Family has moved out of their foreclosed home in favor of greener pastures, and has taken a break from their YouTube channel, leaving fans curious as to what McBroom has coming up next. It looked like McBroom was itching to box British YouTube star KSI a few months ago — but it seems his next opponent is a different British influencer. On June 7, 2022, YouTuber AnEsonGib posted a fight poster to his Instagram account, claiming that he’s set to face off against McBroom in the boxing ring this year. This comes as a welcome development for Gib, who accused McBroom of “ducking” a boxing match with him in January of this year. McBroom is taking too long. His bout against McBroom is slated for July 30 — just a few weeks prior to both KSI and Jake Paul’s separate boxing comeback matches in August. According to Gib, his upcoming fight is a professional bout, although precious little information has been offered thus far. The match, which is being hosted by Social Gloves, will take place at the Crypto Arena in Los Angeles, California. View this post on Instagram McBroom posted a similar fight poster to his own Instagram account, where he called out Gib in a lengthy caption… as well as KSI. “Lil Gibby better appreciate this opportunity, especially after barely beating his last opponent,” he wrote. “Might as well count this as charity work. … KSI, I’ll see you in the ring next at the end of the year…IF you beat your next opponent!” View this post on Instagram Austin McBroom teases major fighters for AnEsonGib boxing match That’s not all; in an interview with TMZ, McBroom claimed that some big names will be taking part in the fast-flying fisticuffs. He named Pro Bowl running back Le’Veon Bell, a former Lakers player, big musicians, and a former player for the Steelers, although no other names have been dropped just yet. McBroom also spoke out on the drama ensuing from Social Gloves’ last foray into the boxing space, saying that he’s got a better handle on things this time around. “Everything in the past is behind us,” he claimed. “No lawsuits, fighters are paid, and we’re ready to do this thing the right way and put on a show how it was supposed to be put on the first time around.” For now, it’s uncertain who KSI’s next opponent will be — but it’s clear that McBroom has his sights set on the British rapper if he manages to take out Gib next month.

Austin McBroom teases new fight date as AnEsonGib boxing match officially postponed YouTube: The ACE FamilyYouTube star Austin McBroom has confirmed that his bout against AnEsonGib has been officially postponed, and hinted at a date later this year for their eventual faceoff. Austin McBroom of ACE Family fame was slated to box against UK YouTube star AnEsonGib on July 30, 2022 after months of trash talk between the two influencers. However, just ten days out from fight night, McBroom revealed that the bout would likely be postponed due to issues on Gib’s end. AnEsonGib confirmed this claim and stated that he was required to pass several health screens before being cleared to fight. The fight was in limbo for two days… until now. On Friday, July 22, an email was sent out from Social Gloves officially confirming that Austin McBroom vs AnEsonGib is postponed until a later date. “Due to the current unavailability of main event fighter AnEson Gib, the Social Gloves: No More Talk boxing event scheduled for Saturday, July 30 at the Crypto.Com Arena is being postponed to a later date,” the email reads. It followed with a statement from McBroom: “I’m sorry to my fans for the postponement of this event. I’ve been training very hard for the last two months and look forward to getting back in the ring soon.” McBroom uploaded a video to Instagram at the same time as the press release, claiming that it is “unclear what [Gib’s] [health] conditions are” and that his opponent is currently in LA being tested. The ACE family patriarch also stated that their fight has been scheduled for a new date “in early September,” pushing back the bout by a month. • Austin McBroom teases long-awaited boxing return & wants Jake Paul fight – Dexerto

Austin McBroom teases long-awaited boxing return & wants Jake Paul fight YouTube: The ACE Family / Instagram: jakepaulYouTuber Austin McBroom has said he’ll be back in the boxing game “real soon” with a big announcement coming up, and added that he would “most definitely” fight Jake Paul if they crossed paths. 2021 has been a big year for influencer boxing, with more fans than ever invested in seeing creators like the Paul brothers step into the ring and try their hand at the sport. June’s ‘Battle of the Platforms’ event turned out to be surprisingly popular, and in the headline fight between the ACE Family’s Austin McBroom and TikToker Bryce Hall, it was ultimately McBroom that ended up taking the win. The end of the event was shrouded in controversy when he and event organizer Social Gloves were sued after several fighters revealed that hadn’t been paid, but it looks like that isn’t stopping Austin from stepping into the ring once again. When asked by FightHype if there were to be any more fights in his future, the YouTuber replied: “Yeah, real soon, man. I’ll be back in training camp in the next couple weeks. Big announcement next couple weeks. So everybody stay tuned.” On the topic of Jake Paul’s upcoming fight with Tommy Fury on December 18, McBroom said that he’s “hoping it’s a good fight,” and in response to whether he would like to fight the youngest Paul brother, added: “Would I want the Jake Paul fight if we crossed paths? Most definitely, yeah.” “You know, we got some history there, we got some history there, but we’ll see,” he went on to say. It’s not yet clear what Austin is planning to announce in the coming weeks, but people are already wondering who the YouTuber could be fighting. With the Paul vs. Fury fight fast approaching and the buzz surrounding it growing, it looks like there will be plenty more influencer boxing events to come over the next year.

  • Austin McBroom teases another Battle of the Platforms after YouTube vs TikTokers success – Dexerto

Austin McBroom teases another Battle of the Platforms after YouTube vs TikTokers success Austin McBroomAustin McBroom’s first new video following his fight against Bryce Hall seems to indicate that a new Battle of the Platforms event will be “coming soon.” McBroom took on Hall on June 13 as the headline fight of the TikTok vs. YouTube “Battle of the Platforms” and there’s no doubt he dominated, but his latest video following the matchup could be the first news this wasn’t a one-off event. The event was all the internet was talking about (for a few days at least) so it’s not surprising that Social Gloves, the promotion company behind the fights, would want to hold another one. The video itself is your usual recap of the fight you’d expect to see from the ACE Family channel, but there’s one screen in particular that caught our attention right at the end. After Austin has hugged his wife and basked in the glory of victory, the video cuts to a shot of the arena, then an all black screen with the Social Gloves logo that says “Battle of the Platforms 2” is “coming soon.” Other than the black and white title screen, Austin’s video didn’t provide a whole lot of details on the second event, but if he included it in his own video, there’s a decent chance he could be fighting in it as well. McBroom and KSI could have a bout in the works as well, as both unofficially said they’d be willing to duke it out. Of course, we don’t know any of the actual details of who will be in Battle of the Platforms 2, or if they’re on Twitch, YouTube, or TikTok, but we do know it will be happening eventually. So, could we see Vitaly take on Nelk Boys SteveWillDoIt, or Nessa Barrett throw down with Mads Lewis? As of right now anything could be possible, so we’ll just have to wait and see.

The City has filed for more than $200,000 in damages. Austin McBroom has found himself in more legal trouble, with a new lawsuit being filed by the City of Beverly Hills against the YouTube star on October 26. McBroom, who is one part of the mega-popular ACE Family on YouTube, has been accused of hosting an “unruly gathering” in the city ahead of the Battle of the Platforms event — where he fought Bryce Hall — to “drum up publicity before the boxing match to maximize its profitability.” “[McBroom] hatched a scheme to hold an unauthorized assembly in the form of a parade through the streets of Beverly Hills,” the lawsuit alleges. The City of Beverly Hills claimed McBroom, along with Sheeraz Hasan, who is also named as a defendant, did not apply for a permit to shut down the streets of Los Angeles. “In order to hold a parade in Beverly Hills, an event organizer must first request a permit using a well-established application process, including working closely with City staff to help ensure that any and all public safety concerns are addressed,” the City claimed. Hundreds of people turned out onto the streets in what the City called an “unruly gathering.” Using posts from Austin McBroom’s Instagram, the City claimed “he actively encouraged his fans and those in parade to unlawfully shut down Rodeo Drive.” View this post on Instagram “The unruly gathering involved hundreds of individuals and constituted a threat to the public peace, health, safety, and welfare by loud noise, obstructions of a street and other public rights of way, destruction of property, and littering of trash. “McBroom later bragged about this unlawful act on social media.” The City of Beverly Hills has filed for more than $200,000 of damages. Austin McBroom sued for $100m by LiveXLive amid YouTube vs TikTok pay dispute YouTube: The ACE Family / LiveXLiveThe ACE Family’s Austin McBroom is reportedly being sued for $100 million along with Simply Greatness Productions by streaming platform LiveXLive amid the ongoing issue of Battle of the Platforms fighters not getting paid. While the June 12 influencer boxing event Battle of the Platforms went viral online and drew a lot of attention from fans, the night has since been overshadowed by a dispute over fighters not getting paid. Several weeks after the event, TikToker Vinnie Hacker and other event participants came forward and claimed they had yet to receive payment for the event, which was organized by Social Gloves in partnership with streaming platform LiveXLive. With headline fighter Austin McBroom allegedly owning Social Gloves, many turned to him for answers regarding the financial state of the event, some reports suggesting they massively overestimated how many PPV sales they would make. However, on July 21, Simply Greatness Productions, which reportedly operates Social Gloves, sued LiveXLive, with McBroom claiming that the streaming platform is withholding funds from Social Gloves, meaning fighters can’t be paid. Now, court documents have surfaced that suggest LiveXLive is also suing Austin McBroom and Simply Greatness Productions for defamation, breach of contract, and fraud among other things. View this post on Instagram LiveXLive claims that McBroom and SGP said their anticipated viewership would be 2.2 million paying audience members. In the prayer for relief, the company asks for “no less than $100 million” in damages. McBroom has yet to speak out on this latest development in the legal process, but with demands and accusations being made on both sides, it’s not clear how long it will take for the situation to be fully resolved. This comes after a string of rumors about other lawsuits against the family, with Austin denying that they were getting evicted from their $7 million home for failing to pay their mortgage.

  • Austin McBroom slams KSI for taking Swarmz fight and wants bout by end of 2022 – Dexerto

Austin McBroom slams KSI for taking Swarmz fight and wants bout by end of 2022 IG: AustinMcBroom/KSIYouTuber Austin McBroom has blasted British entertainer KSI for announcing Swarmz as the replacement fighter for Alex Wassabi, claiming he should be fighting bigger and better opponents. August 6 was an incredibly busy day in the internet boxing world. Alex Wassabi, scheduled to fight KSI later in August, pulled out of the fight amid a concussion. Despite protracted offers from Jake Paul to replace the TikTok star, KSI rejected the calls and insisted any fight between him and the American would only take place after dedicated camps and on the biggest stage possible. KSI then announced rapper Swarmz as Wassabi’s replacement, a former collaborator of KSI’s who called him out back in June for a fight. Barring any more changes, it looks like he’ll get his way. Austin McBroom blasts KSI following Swarmz announcement It’s fair to say that plenty on social media were disappointed with the announcement of Swarmz; more because it delayed any clash with Jake Paul than a slight on KSI’s new opponent. Austin McBroom, YouTuber and member of the ACE family, was among those unimpressed, criticizing KSI considerably via his Instagram story. “KSI what the f**k is going on?” he asked. “You went from fighting Logan to getting ready to fight Alex. Now you fighting… I dunno who that is. Respectfully, respect to him [Swarmz] for even wanting to fight, but come on bruh. I thought you were a gamer. I thought you were competitive. You just want someone to hand you a W.” He went on to say that KSI should have just delayed the fight with Alex and retained him as an opponent, even with doubts about Alex’s alleged concussion. McBroom also offered to fight KSI at the “end of the year”, assuming he takes out AnEsonGib when the pair’s rescheduled fight takes place. The ACE member finished: “I wish you the best of luck, this is wrong though.” KSI has not responded to McBroom’s comments, but has vowed to fight Jake Paul in the future. McBroom appears to be some way down the list of potential opponents then, despite his fighting talk.

  • Austin McBroom slams AnEsonGib’s call for “revenge” over YouTubers vs TikTokers pay – Dexerto

Austin McBroom slams AnEsonGib’s call for “revenge” over YouTubers vs TikTokers pay DexertoThe ACE Family’s Austin McBroom is set to box fellow YouTuber AnEsonGib on July 30 — a fight that Gib is using to get “revenge” on Austin over last year’s Battle of the Platforms drama. In 2021, McBroom organized one of the most ambitious influencer boxing events thus far, appropriately named the ‘Battle of the Platforms.’ Colloquially known as ‘YouTubers vs TikTokers,’ McBroom’s event pitted influencers from both platforms against each other to see which app would come out on top… and it’s safe to say that Team YouTube destroyed the competition. Unfortunately for the participating fighters, payment was a bit of an issue, spurring numerous lawsuits against McBroom and Social Gloves (which eventually got resolved). Now, Gib is wanting to take his “revenge” on McBroom over the ordeal. “My next fight is all about revenge,” he said in a string of Twitter posts back in January. “It’s all about beating the sh*t out of the event organizers, a.k.a. Social Gloves, a.k.a. Austin McBroom. This is the biggest money fight out there, AnEsonGib versus Austin McBroom. A grudge match, indeed.” We spoke to Austin McBroom about Gib’s motivation for their upcoming bout during a July 12 press conference… and he didn’t seem too bothered by Gib’s taunts. “He’s funny, ’cause he’s been mentioning, ‘I’m gonna beat up the CEO of Social Gloves,’ and so on and so forth,” McBroom said. “He’s just using that as a band-aid because of what’s gonna happen on July 30th.” “He’s using that as an excuse for when I beat him. He’s gonna say, ‘Oh, that’s his event, he should have beat me.’ That’s weak. That’s very weak-minded for him to go that route. But that’s the excuse he’s using and it’s gonna bite him in the a**.” Whether or not Gib will enact his revenge on McBroom remains to be seen… but all will be revealed come fight night on July 30.

However, they’ve emerged up again, and this time, they’re coming from another source, Tana Mongeau, who was dating Jake at the time. “One time, Austin McBroom was cheating on Catherine, and the girl he was cheating on her with left her lipstick in his car,” said Tana. “We get a call, and we answered it, and it’s Austin bawling his eyes out and Catherine absolutely screaming while holding this lipstick inside of the car.” “She’s screaming, and she’s like, ‘is the lipstick Tana’s? Austin says the lipstick is Tana’s.’ Austin’s bawling. My dumb a** thinks that the right thing to do at the time is saving the kids. So, I lied to Catherine. I’m like, this is my lipstick.” She also described another instance, saying “Austin hired four of my friends as his ‘nannies’ and when Catherine would leave, he would sleep with all of them and then told her that they were all his nannies.” https://twitter.com/defnoodles/status/1403863049090453507?s=20 Austin McBroom shut down the claims and accused her of clout chasing. “[Hats off] to the biggest clout chaser of them all!” he said. “And it was actually Erika Costell’s lipstick dummy. I was taking Jake and her back to Jake’s house. “This lame as lie ain’t gonna save the attention that your [little boyfriend] Bryce is about to get for his a** whopping.” Erika also commented to support his story. “It was actually a lip liner. Can I get that back?” she wrote. Catherine hasn’t commented on the situation herself, with the YouTube Vs. TikTok boxing event going ahead at the time of writing. Austin’s fight against Bryce Hall is still yet to come on the card. The claims could throw the YouTuber off his game , but we will have to wait and see how he responds.

  • Austin McBroom says KSI dodged him for “easy” fight but expects 2022 boxing bout – Dexerto

Austin McBroom says KSI dodged him for “easy” fight but expects 2022 boxing bout Instagram: KSI / DexertoYouTube star Austin McBroom claims that rival creator KSI dodged his challenge for an “easy” match with Alex Wassabi — but he isn’t trashing the idea of a future bout with the budding British boxer. Austin McBroom is gearing up for his upcoming boxing match against AnEsonGib… but that isn’t stopping him from thinking about the future. McBroom and Gib are set to face off on July 30 after months of back-and-forth trash talk. Gib says he wants “revenge” on McBroom over the fallout from his Battle of the Platforms last year — which resulted in a slew of lawsuits against the ACE Family star. However, to McBroom, Gib is a respectable stepping stone to a greater opponent: KSI, with whom he’s been attempting to secure a fight for nearly a year. In fact, McBroom claims that he was supposed to box KSI after Battle of the Platforms in 2021, but says that the Brit backed out in favor of an “easy” bout against Alex Wassabi, who KSI is slated to fight in August. We got the chance to speak with McBroom at his July 12 press conference, where he revealed that he’s anticipating a fight with KSI later this year. “I think that’s for sure gonna happen,” he said of the possibility. “It was supposed to happen after my last fight, but he wanted to choose an opponent that was an easy win for him, which I don’t blame him.” “He obviously saw what I did with my last fight and he got cold feet,” he added.”This time around, we’ll see if we meet up at the end of the year, if he hopefully beats his opponent coming up.” Although KSI has brushed off talks of a fight with McBroom until his schedule clears up, with his return to boxing coming up soon, there’s a distinct possibility that fans might see this fight take place very soon. For now, we’ll have to see how McBroom fares in the ring come July 30.

  • Austin McBroom says Bryce Hall tried to “break” his ankles in pre-fight scuffle – Dexerto

Austin McBroom says Bryce Hall tried to “break” his ankles in pre-fight scuffle YouTube: The Hollywood FixPopular family YouTuber Austin McBroom and TikTok star Bryce Hall are set to face off in a month’s time to settle their differences in a hyped-up boxing match — but McBroom is hypothesizing that Hall might not actually want the match to happen. YouTubers vs TikTokers marks one of the biggest influencer boxing events to date. Following in the footsteps of KSI vs Logan Paul (as well as Jake Paul’s own illustrious boxing career), this tournament aims to pit the two platforms’ biggest stars against each other for all the marbles. However, on May 18, it was revealed that some of the combatants couldn’t wait to get in the ring to throw hands. Taking notes from Jake Paul’s scuffle with Floyd Mayweather, Bryce Hall threatened he would “slap the ****” out of McBroom if he stood up during their pre-fight press conference — and that’s exactly what ended up happening. The Sway House star rushed at McBroom and pushed him into his chair, leading to an all-out brawl that inevitably involved just about everyone else in the room and even broke some glass. But, according to McBroom, Hall wasn’t merely trying to make a show of strength; instead, he claims that Hall could have been trying to seriously injure him before their fight even kicked off. Austin McBroom rubbishes claims YouTube vs TikTok boxing event flopped on PPV Instagram: Austin McBroomAustin McBroom shut down claims that the Battle of the Platforms YouTubers vs. TikTokers amateur boxing event was a flop, insisting the “real numbers” will be released soon. The Battle of the Platforms YouTubers vs. TikTokers boxing event ended with a bang after Austin knocked out Bryce Hall. But according to multiple sources, including participants Josh Richards and Vinnie Hacker, they still have not been paid. Social Gloves, the company behind the event, insisted they’re “working tirelessly” to verify finances and get everyone paid on time. However, the whole debacle has led many to believe the event was a flop and sold only 136,00 pay-per-view buys, much less than the expected 500,000. News – The social gloves PPV which featured @AustinMcbroom vs @BryceHall did a total of 136,000 PPV buys. The organizers were hoping to get around 500,000 buys. — Marcos Villegas (@heyitsmarcosv) June 23, 2021 Austin, who is reportedly a partial owner of Social Gloves, posted a statement on Instagram claiming it was “one of the biggest social media events in history” and the “real numbers,” which are being tallied by an accounting firm and first-class auditor, will come out soon. “100,000 PPV buys is [cap]. Only the haters want to believe that,” he said. “These people who are scamming… are basically saying all of us fighters [and our] fanbases ain’t sh*t.” “We all know Social Gloves put on one of the biggest social media events in history as all of you watched. The real numbers will come out soon. Just know Social Gloves weren’t the ones who collected PPV numbers [and] purchases.” The event is still making headlines weeks after it finished — only for the wrong reasons. However, Austin is adamant that it was a resounding success and believes everyone involved will be rightfully paid in due time.

  • Austin McBroom responds to claims ACE Family Fest is a “scam” – Dexerto

Austin McBroom responds to claims ACE Family Fest is a “scam” YouTube: The ACE FamilyYouTuber Austin McBroom has responded to critics claiming that the ACE Family Fest is a “scam,” showing viewers what they’ve set up for the anticipated July 9 event so far. The ACE Family are among some of the most popular family vloggers on YouTube, making regular videos about their lives for their 18 million subscribers. In April, the family announced that they would be hosting a festival on July 9, The ACE Family Fest, which they described on their website as, “a one day festival for people of all ages starting from noon to 10 pm.” They added that the festival would have a variety of “free games, free rides, free prizes & more.” However, after tickets went on sale, some claimed that the festival was a “scam” and that the number of tickets they’d sold couldn’t support the scale of the event they’d planned. Some even likened it to Fyre Festival. But in a vlog uploaded on July 8, Austin and Catherine responded to critics who claimed that the event is a scam, and revealed to fans what they’ve set up so far. Topic starts at 1:13 “It’s about 20% up right now,” Austin said, with Catherine adding: “20-50% up because we also have like vendors, we have food trucks, and all this kind of stuff.” Austin went on to say: “The reason why I say 20% is cause usually it takes them about 2-3 days, they just started setting up yesterday, and they have about ten rides up right now, when in reality we’re gonna have over 30 rides, plus games, plus food, plus vendors, plus everything else.” He also addressed those who were skeptical of the festival directly: “So, real quick, for the people that said that our festival was a scam or that it wasn’t happening, you guys can suck a fat donut, okay, because it’s happening.” With the event on July 9, fans are keen to see whether ACE Family Fest lives up to expectations, as commenters reveal their excitement for the festival.

  • Austin McBroom responds to Battle of the Platforms pay lawsuit – Dexerto

Austin McBroom responds to Battle of the Platforms pay lawsuit YouTube: The ACE FamilyYouTuber Austin McBroom from the ACE Family has explained what’s going on behind the TikTokers vs. YouTubers pay dispute, after streaming partner LiveXLive had a lawsuit filed against them by event organizers. At the June 12 YouTubers vs. TikTokers fight at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, it was Austin McBroom who managed to take home the ultimate win of the night in his bout against TikToker Bryce Hall. Although the event was hugely popular, in the weeks following it has been somewhat overshadowed by a dispute over pay, with fighters like Vinnie Hacker claiming they have yet to receive money from the event. On July 21, event organizers Simply Greatness Productions (SGP,) who reportedly operate Social Gloves, filed a lawsuit against streaming partner LiveXLive, claiming that the company failed to turn over proceeds from the event. It has been alleged that McBroom owns Social Gloves, after it was discovered that his company Ace Hat Collection Inc owns the trademark, however, the YouTuber has not spoken widely about the extent of his involvement until now. In an interview with paparazzi on July 24, Austin responded to the situation and gave some background on the dispute. After acknowledging the lawsuit against LiveXLive, the influencer set out to dispel rumors that have been circulating about the situation. He denied claims that Social Gloves has gone bankrupt, saying he thinks they made $3 or $4 million just from in-person attendees alone. He went on to confirm that fighters have not yet been paid, including himself, due to LiveXLive withholding funds, claiming “they have not paid Social Gloves one penny.” Austin reiterated that “no one really knows” how many pay-per-view sales they made, with rumored numbers ranging from 100k to 2 million. He added that fighters will be paid before the next event. “It’s unfortunate because all these fighters deserve what they’re owed,” he said. “Everyone worked their asses off, every fighter including myself. We worked our asses off for the last three or four months. And for LiveXLive to hold on to the funds and act like the event wasn’t a success—and the crazy thing is, they’re gonna act like the numbers were low, but now they’re jacking my idea and doing their own event in the next two months. That doesn’t make any sense to me.” He went on to allege that LiveXLive tried to claim the UK only brought in 5000 PPV sales, saying it “doesn’t make any sense” when UK-based creators like Deji and AnEsonGib were involved in the event. It looks like the lawsuit is set to drag out the dispute even longer, as fighters and artists await a resolution.

  • Austin McBroom praises Bryce Hall after fight victory: “I’ve got to show him love” – Dexerto

Austin McBroom praises Bryce Hall after fight victory: “I’ve got to show him love” Instagram: Austin McBroom / Bryce HallAustin McBroom had nothing but kind words to say about Bryce Hall after beating him in the YouTubers vs TikTokers Battle of the Platforms main event, praising him for having the strength and confidence to step into the ring. It’s been a long and winding road since the feud between Austin and Bryce started in December 2020. Since then, we’ve seen countless insults and confrontations, leading many to believe the two of them would never be on good terms — especially after trading blows in the ring. But in an interesting twist to the saga, Austin took the high road and extended an olive branch by complimenting Bryce in the post-fight interview after obliterating him, and he urged others to do the same. Here’s the winning moment for Austin McBroom over Bryce Hall https://t.co/YHLgWjksJ7 — Dexerto (@Dexerto) June 13, 2021 “A lot of people want to keep having me talk sh*t about Bryce Hall, but I’m only going to lift him up like everybody else should,” said Austin. “This man Bryce Hall is a strong a** motherf**ker, and I’ve got to show him love.” Austin encouraged people on social media to stop hating on Bryce and show him some love, too. “There’s not too many f**king people in this world that would get in the ring and do what he did. Shoutout to you, bro,” he said. The respect was mutual, too. Bryce congratulated Austin on his win and re-iterated the fact that he isn’t a boxer and never claimed to be, but was grateful for the opportunity and hoped that fans enjoyed the show. https://twitter.com/Dexerto/status/1403912580079497218?s=20 So, after months of bickering, it’s reasonable to assume Austin and Bryce have buried the hatchet — at least for the time being. As for what happens next, well, Austin is keen to stay in the fight game, while Bryce will need to reflect on the fight and re-assess his goals moving forward.

  • Austin McBroom moves into RV right outside recently divorced wife’s house – Dexerto

Austin McBroom moves into RV right outside recently divorced wife’s house TikTok: _vidz_00Austin McBroom has sparked concern after revealing he’s moved into an RV right outside his recently divorced wife’s house. Austin McBroom and Catherine Paiz shocked the internet after announcing their divorce on January 11, 2024 — cementing the end of their YouTube channel, The Ace Family. The husband and wife duo had been running the family channel since 2016 but saw numerous controversies during their time in the limelight. McBroom faced several cheating allegations and in 2022, the couple revealed their plans to leave YouTube. Then early January 2024 came news of the pair’s divorce, with Paiz citing “irreconcilable challenges” as the reason for their split. McBroom’s behavior since the news, however, has some viewers concerned. First, he was called out and mocked for a series of “embarrassing” Snapchat posts, but after revealing he purchased an RV to live outside of Paiz’s house, some are beginning to question if all is well. In a video reposted to TikTok account ‘_vidz_00‘, McBroom updated viewers on his living situation and explained how he wanted to live as close as possible to his three children, whom he shares with Paiz. Calling it a “temporary solution” and “the best that [he] can do for now”, McBroom revealed he had purchased a motorhome and parked it on the side of the street directly opposite Paiz’s house. “I’m happy with it. And as long as they’re happy and I’m happy, that’s all that matters,” he said. A follow-up video showed McBroom offering viewers a tour of the RV, with him reiterating that the situation was temporary and simply to be closer to his kids. Despite his insistence surrounding his intentions, viewers called the situation “weird” and “scary.” Some even doubted whether it was real, claiming McBroom’s video was a publicity stunt or prank and asking whether the videos were satire. “If this was really mutual, I believe Catherine would let him live inside,” one person wrote. Another said, “In all seriousness, she really should get a restraining order against him.”

Austin McBroom mobbed by hundreds of fans while demolishing a Bryce Hall piñata YouTube: ACE FamilyHundreds of fans flocked to Beverly Hills to see Austin McBroom as the hype around his boxing match with TikTok star Bryce Hall continues. Footage obtained by The Hollywood Fix show hundreds of fans – many of which were young children – congregating around Austin and his wife, Catherine McBroom, as he prepared to hit a piñata decorated with pictures of his future boxing opponent, Bryce Hall. YouTuber and rapper DDG, who is billed to box TikTok star Nate Wyatt at the ‘YouTubers vs TikTokers’ boxing event, was also present. Dozens of people in the large crowd could be seen pushing and shoving in order to get a better view of McBroom beating the piñata. Throughout the footage, Austin and security staff can be heard telling the crowd to back up before several police motorbikes appeared to break up the raucous scene, which took place on May 30. Earlier this month, Austin and Bryce finally met face-to-face for the first time, but the meeting soon descended into a full-on brawl wherein McBroom claims that Hall tried to break his ankle. Given the two’s volatile relationship on social media, it will be interesting to see how Bryce will respond to Austin destroying a piñata bearing his likeness. When are Austin McBroom and Bryce Hall fighting? The highly-anticipated YouTubers vs TikTokers boxing event is set to take place on June 12, with the event being available to stream via pay-per-view platform LivexLive. McBroom’s boxing match with Hall, which is billed to be the main card of the event, has been rumored since December 2020, with Austin pushing Bryce to fight with him in several heated exchanges on social media. View this post on Instagram Bryce finally confirmed he was set to fight Austin on March 15 on social media after revealing that he was being offered $5 million for the match, with McBroom also revealing on his Instagram that their fight was part of a larger YouTubers vs TikTokers event. However, according to TikToker Tayler Holder, his own fight with YouTuber AneSonGib may well be cancelled due to weight differences between the two.

  • Austin McBroom set for potential KSI fight after sending challenge on Instagram – Dexerto

Austin McBroom set for potential KSI fight after sending challenge on Instagram YouTube: JJ Olatunji / The ACE FamilyRumors that Austin McBroom will be fighting fellow YouTuber KSI in early 2022 are swirling after McBroom uploaded a cryptic Instagram story, but not everyone is convinced they’ll actually step into the ring together so soon. Influencer boxing has become a huge trend in recent years, with creators like Logan and Jake Paul stepping up against pro fighters from across the world in an attempt to prove their abilities. The trend was inspired partly by YouTuber KSI’s fight with Joe Weller and his later fights with Logan. Austin McBroom, who won the headline fight against Bryce Hall in June’s Battle of the Platforms event, has had his sights set on fighting KSI for a while now. KSI described a potential fight with McBroom as a “stepping stone” and a “warmup” before he gets to Jake Paul, and didn’t seem too convinced by his idea of a 2 v 2 with Logan Paul and Bryce Hall. Austin McBroom calls out KSI on Instagram While news on a potential bout between the two has been relatively quiet of late, rumors were fired back up again on October 20 when McBroom uploaded an Instagram story that implied he would be stepping into the ring with the fellow YouTuber. “I’m retiring from social media and I’m trying out for the NBA!” he wrote, going on to add in another slide, “I’m playin, KSI I’ll see you in January.” The mention of a specific month had some fans wondering whether there could be planning for a future event going on behind the scenes. However, others were quick to point out that KSI is going to be on tour for at least part of January 2022, making it much less likely that he would schedule such a big boxing event for the same month. Regardless, it looks like Austin’s sending the message that he’s still interested in a fight between them, some fans are curious to see who would come out on top.

  • Austin McBroom finally resolves Social Gloves lawsuit with $3 million settlement – Dexerto

Austin McBroom finally resolves Social Gloves lawsuit with $3 million settlement YouTube: The ACE FamilyYouTuber Austin McBroom has reportedly settled two lawsuits resulting from the drama of last year’s Social Gloves ‘YouTubers vs TikTokers’ boxing event. On June 12, 2021, fourteen of YouTube and TikTok’s prime influencers faced off in the boxing ring to see which platform would come out on top. Team YouTube swept the competition, with the ACE Family’s Austin McBroom notably winning his grudge match against TikTok’s Bryce Hall — but the aftermath of the event saw him lose out in a big way. Weeks after the event took place, talent conscripted for the showdown began speaking out on social media, claiming that they hadn’t been compensated for their time in the ring. This resulted in a slew of backlash against McBroom, as well as several lawsuits — two of which have finally been settled, nearly half a year after the fact. According to reports from Billboard, LiveOne (formerly LivexLive) agreed to pay out $3 million to “applicable payees” from the YouTubers vs TikTokers boxing event last year. This both marks the end of McBroom’s reported “breach of contract” against LiveOne and LiveOne’s $100 million defamation suit against the ACE Family YouTuber. As evidenced by SEC filings posted on Valentine’s Day, the lawsuits were actually settled in December 2021. This isn’t the only suit that McBroom has laid to rest; representatives from TikToker Tayler Holder also stated that Holder had settled his $2 million suit against McBroom around the same time. The YouTubers vs TikTokers event saw a mountain of outrage against McBroom, even earning some flak from major celebrity investors like James Harden, who reportedly sought $2 million in damages from the YouTuber (although wife Catherine McBroom claimed these reports to be false). For now, it looks like McBroom is finally out from under the swath of drama that occurred from one of the most-hyped influencer boxing events thus far… although YouTuber Logan Paul is similarly claiming he hasn’t been paid for his bout against Floyd Mayweather, either.

Influencer boxing has become a huge phenomenon over the past few years, with fights like Logan Paul vs. KSI inspiring countless other online creators to step into the ring and try their hand at the sport. June 2021’s ‘Battle of the Platforms’ event was one of the biggest so far, and saw several popular influencers from both YouTube and TikTok step into the ring to find out once and for all who the better platform is. Austin McBroom won his headline fight against TikToker Bryce Hall, but as one of the organizers of the event, he also faced some legal trouble after many of the fighters weren’t paid for their work, getting sued by streaming partner LiveXLive. Now, the YouTuber has revealed that he’s got big plans for the coming months when it comes to the sport. In an Instagram story posted on January 30, McBroom wrote: “Stay tuned for big announcement in February,” alongside a clip of him training in the ring. “The last several months I’ve been working on big plays behind the scenes, dealing with legal plays behind the scenes, all so my get back is unmatched, you will be my witness, stay tuned!” he went on to say. Shortly after the first YouTube vs. TikTok event in June 2021, McBroom claimed that a Battle of the Platforms event was “coming soon,” but as of yet, nothing has come of the rumors. Austin McBroom clowned over ’embarrassing’ Snapchat posts after divorce Snapchat: Austin McBroomYouTube star Austin McBroom is getting clowned on social media over the “cringe” stories he’s been posting to Snapchat following his divorce from wife Catherine Paiz. The ACE Family’s Austin McBroom and Catherine Paiz shook up the internet after announcing their divorce on January 11, 2024. Catherine cited “irreconcilable challenges” as a reason for their split, but the couple collectively maintained that their divorce is amicable and that they “both are supporting each other’s future.” While Catherine’s Instagram posts have led fans to believe that she’s thriving after separating from Austin — who has been accused of cheating on his ex-wife multiple times in the past — Austin’s Snapchat posts are telling an entirely different story. Austin McBroom clowned over “cringe” Snapchat stories Following news of his divorce from Catherine, Austin has been posting to Snapchat… like, a lot. In fact, Austin has been posting so much that it’s starting to annoy some fans — but others can’t help but laugh at the sheer absurdity of the things he’s posting. For instance, Austin appeared to be really excited about being able to do cartwheels in one video, while in another, he asked his fans if he should go to the hospital when he wasn’t feeling particularly well. Viewers are now clowning the YouTube star all over social media, with many labeling his recent Snapchat posts as “embarrassing” or “cringy.” “Does Austin McBroom not get secondhand embarrassment watching his own Snapchat stories back?” one netizen asked. “Watching Austin McBroom lose his mind on Snapchat has been the highlight of my week so far LMFAO,” another said. “Why is Austin Mcbroom’s shtick on Snapchat being the cringiest loser ever, like he NEEDED Catherine,” yet another theorized. It looks like most viewers believe Austin’s latest Snapchat content is directly related to his potential feelings about his divorce, with many speculating that he’s upset about the split and using social media to vent his apparent sadness about the issue. While both Catherine and Austin have parted ways on good terms, it’s clear that fans think there’s more to the story.

The ACE Family’s Austin McBroom is set to face off against British YouTuber AnEsonGib later this month — but Gib claims that he wasn’t given an invite to the presser. A press conference for their upcoming bout is slated for July 12. In response to a tweet announcing the date, Gib wrote: “I’m Main Event… they didn’t even invite me.” Of course, this claim came as quite a shock to fans, who assumed they’d be seeing Gib show up for the presser at the allotted time. I’m Main Event… they didn’t even invite me 😂 https://t.co/G8dhcZCzeu — Ali (@AnEsonGib) July 7, 2022 However, according to McBroom, other factors are to blame for Gib’s press conference kerfuffle. Over on Instagram, McBroom shared a series of screenshots showing conversations between Gib’s manager and the event promoter, where McBroom claimed that Gib had been told about the conference date well in advance. It appears as though the presser was initially scheduled to take place in New York. Later conversations show Gib’s manager saying that the conference date was “too late now” due to Gib’s training camp. “Too short notice to fit in a US trip in time,” he wrote. “Needed to be sooner than now. Can do something remote though.” McBroom wasn’t amused by the explanation. “Someone please tell me where this is,” he wrote, pointing out that Gib had flown to Oman — a country in the Arabian peninsula — to train. “Is this lil boy even going to make it to LA July 30? Wasting his damn time way out there just to get an a** whoopin’.” For now, it’s unclear if Gib will be able to make it to the press conference at all – but Gib has claimed that McBroom may have prematurely announced the time and location without speaking to all parties involved. The promoter was still working out date and location and Mcbroom prematurely posted without talking to any of the fighters first. • Austin McBroom announces indefinite break from boxing after loss to AnEsonGib – Dexerto

Austin McBroom announces indefinite break from boxing after loss to AnEsonGib YouTube: The ACE FamilyYouTube star Austin McBroom is stepping away from the boxing ring after his loss to British rival AnEsonGib at their September 10 match. Austin McBroom is one of many YouTubers who have set foot into the ring amid the current influencer-boxing craze that’s taking over the internet. His first bout saw him emerge victorious over TikToker Bryce Hall at the YouTubers vs TikTokers event in Summer 2021 — an affair that he put on himself, alongside company Live X Live. A year (and several lawsuits) later, McBroom faced off against British YouTuber AnEsonGib… but this particular bout wasn’t a success for the ACE Family star. Instead, McBroom took a loss to Gib in the fourth round after being knocked down five times. This marked a massive victory for Gib — and a huge defeat for McBroom. McBroom spoke out about the fight on September 15, where he revealed that his wife, Catherine Paiz, was unhappy with his boxing pursuits and claimed their channel hadn’t been the same since he got into the boxing game. Austin McBroom admits loss to AnEsonGib “humbled” him “The word, ‘humbled’ — yes, definitely,” he said. “I was humbled. And I feel like there have been moments of my life throughout the thirty years I’ve been here that I’ve been humbled, and it has grown me so much as a person.” McBroom then went on to state that he would take an indefinite hiatus from boxing to focus on his family and his YouTube content, although he admitted he would likely come back to the sport at some point in the future. “I just wanna say that, at this point moving forward, I’m not gonna say that I won’t ever step back into the ring again, because I’m just too competitive, I’m gonna eventually get back into the ring, but physically, as of right now, I do need to take a break.” “I do want to spend time with my family, I do want to take a trip, I do want to go on vacation. But we also want to get back the old ACE Family, and get back to us being vulnerable again, because I feel like that’s what you guys want.” (Topic begins at 11:55) For now, it looks like the head of the ACE Family will be resting and recovering — but his fellow influencers like KSI, Logan Paul, Jake Paul, and even Deji have major events coming up soon that might just spark the boxing bug in him once again.

Austin McBroom announces boxing return after AnEsonGib loss YouTube: The ACE FamilyYouTube star Austin McBroom says he’s officially coming back to the boxing ring after taking an indefinite break from the sport following his loss to influencer AnEsonGib last year. In September 2022, Austin McBroom faced off with fellow influencer AnEsonGib in the boxing ring. Although their fight was initially penned for July 30, an injury on Gib’s end caused the bout to be delayed until later that year. However, Gib would prove to be the better boxer in spite of his previous injury, knocking out the ACE Family patriarch after four rounds. Shortly after his loss, McBroom claimed that he was taking an indefinite hiatus from boxing, saying he wanted to take time to focus on his family. Six months later, McBroom is making his long-awaited comeback to the influencer-boxing scene, as told in a documentary-style YouTube video detailing the events leading up to his bout with Gib. Austin McBroom claims he was ill night of AnEsonGib match In the video, McBroom claimed that he began feeling feverish and ill on fight night. After taking a cold shower and drinking some electrolytes, the YouTuber wasn’t feeling any better and called his family doctor for advice. In his own words, McBroom claimed he “hid” a healthcare worker from the boxing commission, who traveled to the venue to give him intravenous fluids mere hours before he was supposed to step in the ring. McBroom notably lost the fight and was taken to the hospital. Afterwards, McBroom claimed he was found to be positive for COVID, and experienced a temperature of 104 degrees Fahrenheit. Austin McBroom no longer involving Social Gloves in his boxing matches Despite the loss, McBroom says he’s ready to put the gloves back on — but he doesn’t want Social Gloves to be involved in his fights, as he wants to focus on his bouts as a fighter and not “as a businessman.” The YouTuber says that he’s signed on to another promotional company and will be fighting in Europe “a few times” over this year, although he declined to divulge any more information. This is just the latest news to come out of the influencer-boxing sphere after Jake Paul sprinted away from an altercation with Floyd Mayweather’s team.

  • Austin McBroom ambushes Bryce Hall in heated meetup before YouTubers vs TikTokers – Dexerto

Austin McBroom ambushes Bryce Hall in heated meetup before YouTubers vs TikTokers YouTube: Bryce HallThe beef between internet stars Bryce Hall and Austin McBroom just got even more intense after the two had a seaside encounter that turned physical ahead of their June 12 boxing match. YouTubers vs TikTokers is pitting the best of both platforms’ top talent against each other, lining up seven boxing matches between fourteen influencers to determine which website has the most physical prowess. This fight will culminate in a bout between family YouTuber Austin McBroom and Sway House TikToker Bryce Hall, who started a very profitable beef back in March. Now the two are set to throw down for all the marbles, and after literal months of talking smack on the internet, finally met each other face-to-face in Miami, Florida. View this post on Instagram Both Hall and McBroom flew to the Sunshine State to shoot some promotional material for the upcoming fight, where they filmed a staredown that was nothing short of intense. At the behest of their management, they didn’t lay hands on each other… but afterwards, the rules weren’t so clear. During a boat ride with friends the next day, Hall noticed McBroom partying it up on another craft a short distance away. Sensing a prime opportunity to get a rise out of his opponent, Hall drew his boat a little bit closer to exchange words — and, apparently, water bottles. future apologies to your kids having to grow up watching their dad get dropped for the rest of their life https://t.co/6y5xRozDIb — Bryce Hall (@BryceHall) May 2, 2021 “You’re not gonna do ****,” Hall taunted. “I don’t care about these cameras, dude. I’ll smack the *** out of you! I swear to God. I’ll knock you out now and in the ring.” It looks like Hall’s trash talk hit a little too close to home, as McBroom appeared to throw water bottles at his rival a few moments later, reminding Hall of their bout come June 12. (Encounter starts at 3:00) While it doesn’t look like these two will exchange blows before the event, their latest encounter certainly adding more fuel to the fire as the clock ticks down to their eventual boxing showdown. • Austin McBroom addresses Jake Paul confrontation & denies cheating allegations – Dexerto

Austin McBroom addresses Jake Paul confrontation & denies cheating allegations Instagram: Austin McBroom/Jake PaulThe ACE Family’s Austin McBroom has addressed his situation with Jake Paul after the pair got into a heated confrontation online that became particularly personal. It all started when Austin McBroom posted a video of him walking alongside Jake’s upcoming opponent, former UFC welterweight champ Tyron Woodley, saying, “Jakey, you’re in trouble, my man!” Jake then savagely hit back in a response video on TikTok which he later deleted, calling out Austin for purportedly cheating on wife Catherine “every weekend.” “Oh, Austin!” Jake laughed in his response video. “He switched up on me. He’s with my opponent! I’m in trouble, Austin? Does your wife know that you cheat on her every weekend? Does she know that you message every single girl on Instagram trying to get in their pants?” The beef then manifested in real life when both influencers had been visiting the BFFs podcast studio to record an episode. They got caught up in a heated confrontation, meeting “jaw to jaw,” while onlookers were unsure if it was a genuine confrontation or just for the cameras. According to Josh Richards and Dave Portnoy, Austin then told them that Jake Paul had “slashed his tires,” – Richards says it was two tires on two separate vehicles, making four slashed tires in total. Austin has now publicly addressed the controversy on his social media, saying he refuses to rise to verbal attacks from others because “there will always be people trying to bring me down especially because of the position that I am in. But when it comes to my family being mentioned It’s always different.” He then vehemently denied the claims made by Jake before asking his fans to reconsider how they view drama online: “First off, the statement he made is not true at all. That’s why it was deleted so quickly. “This boxing sh*t has caused a lot of drama due to trying to hype up the fight. Stop believing everything you hear and see especially during a hot moment. Jake and I are handling our issues off-camera right now. And that’s that!” While McBroom called out Paul for a potential boxing match, in November 2020, claiming that the Team 10 founder had been “running from me for years,” any fight between them may be on hold for a little while longer.

  • Austin McBroom accused of begging YouTubers to fight “for free” on AnEsonGib boxing card – Dexerto

Austin McBroom accused of begging YouTubers to fight “for free” on AnEsonGib boxing card YouTube: Ireland Boys, The ACE Family, Social GlovesYouTube star Austin McBroom is under fire after a YouTuber claimed he was asked to fight “for free” on the undercard of the upcoming AnEsonGib boxing match. The ACE Family’s Austin McBroom was initially slated to face off against UK creator AnEsonGib on Saturday, July 30. Unfortunately, just a week prior to their bout, both Gib and McBroom announced the fight was postponed, with Gib claiming that he had to undergo some health screenings before being allowed to compete. Now, the influencer boxing extravaganza is facing even more speculation as a YouTube duo known as the ‘Ireland Boys’ have released DMs from Social Gloves that appear to be asking them to fight for an extremely low payday. Nick Ireland, one half of the Ireland Boys, claimed that Social Gloves — the boxing promotion company owned by McBroom — had reached out to him with an initial offer to face off against fellow influencer Ryan Johnston. Nick then asked for the amount they’d be willing to pay him to box… but it seems like their budget was stretched thin. Messages from Social Gloves claimed that their finances were “really tight” and asked Nick for the “lowest” amount he’d be willing to accept. “The card is already set but if money isn’t your motivation then we might be able to work something out,” they wrote. “Not saying you would fight for free but the budget is low. What’s the lowest you could get in the ring for?” “For the time, effort, and energy and everything that I have to devote to take the fight seriously, they’d have to give me a little bit of a baggie,” Nick admitted. “If they weren’t gonna give me a baggie, I don’t think it would be worth it just for the exposure alone.” After asking Social Gloves to make him an offer, they then claimed that their budget was “maxed out.” Nick never replied — but says the company released a fight poster for a “potential” matchup between him and Johnston to their Instagram page. (Topic begins at 9:42) Ultimately, Nick decided against taking the fight due to the potential of not being paid for his time, relating the incident to the $100 million lawsuit he faced against LiveOne after last year’s Battle of the Platforms. For now, McBroom has yet to respond to Nick’s allegations as the future of his boxing match with AnEsonGib hangs in limbo.

  • Austin & Catherine McBroom are allegedly being sued for $30 million – Dexerto

Austin & Catherine McBroom are allegedly being sued for $30 million Instagram: catherinemcbroom/1212gatewayYouTube matriarch Catherine McBroom is allegedly being sued for $30,000,000 by former business partner TBL Cosmetics. This comes after her collaboration with the brand on “defective” skincare company 1212 Gateway. The apparent legal documents state that Catherine and the ACE Family are “in pari delicto,” meaning they share equal responsibility. Catherine’s skincare line hit the headlines back in May 2021. Customers complained that the brand was a “scam,” speaking openly about lost products and unsatisfactory compensation. It was reported the family – who have a net worth of “approximately $22 million” – faced further money woes on July 5. Rumors circulated that the bank was about to foreclose on their $7.5 million home after it was listed on Zillow. Catherine later denied these reports, calling them “false narratives and untrue rumors.” Documents detailing an alleged lawsuit against the YouTube stars were released on July 22. While the reason for legal proceedings is unclear, it states that TBL is seeking compensation for “punitive damages.” This means the company is unhappy with Catherine’s professional conduct. As well as this, the papers state that the ACE Family attempted to appeal a “mechanic’s lien” on their property. The lien ensures any contractor who works on their house gets paid for it. The request to release the property has subsequently been denied. The complaint was allegedly filed on April 12, though it appears a trial date hasn’t yet been set. View this post on Instagram Fans react to the alleged lawsuit It remains unclear as to whether the widely-shared legal documents are actually real, and fans have been speculating their legitimacy. “Is this real?” one fan questioned. “Her real name isn’t even Catherine.” Another fan stated the documents may have been forged by “haters.” Some commenters sympathized with the family, with one stating they “wouldn’t wish this on (their) worst enemy.” Others simply saw the humor in the situation. One Instagram user commented, “looks like they’ll be moving back into that small apartment soon.” With a court date unannounced and no word on whether the rumors are true, fans will have to wait and see what’s next for the ACE Family.

Aussie streamer beats Ludwig, PiG’s Twitch subathons with new 840-hour record Instagram: pandatvoceAustralian streamer ‘PandaTV’ has smashed the Twitch subathon time record, eclipsing the likes of PiG and platform superstar Ludwig on his way to a historic 840-hour broadcast — one that’s not done just yet either. Twitch history has been made once again. After Ludwig’s ambitious 31-day subathon was bested by a 726-hour subathon from PiG in June, PandaTV has now raised the bar even higher with an 840-hour subathon. The popular World of Warcraft streamer has been live for 35 days, at the time of writing. From playing games to sleeping on stream and hosting talk shows, PandaTV has kept the broadcast alive to soar ahead of the previous records. The streamer has kept the subathon going for five weeks now, and has hit a peak of 12k concurrent Twitch subscribers during the record run. Longer video, bigger post when this all ends. I want this to end but I don’t know if it’s going to. Come and watch, but leave me alone… you know what I mean.” After seeing fellow Aussie streamer PiG set his own Twitch record, PandaTV told Dexerto he was “inspired to give it a shot.” “I’ve been really stubborn over the last nine years streaming full time of not ‘promoting myself enough’ or ‘selling out’ as Twitch chat says. So I said to myself for this subathon, I’ll really try to push it as much as I can.” When he originally went live for the subathon on June 1, PandaTV “thought it would maybe go a week,” he joked on July 6. “We kept creeping closer and closer to PiG’s 34 days and I was like… wait we can do this.” As for the motivation to keep it going, PandaTV explained how his numerous sub goals have been a “highlight” along the way. From playing various new games to merch giveaways and eating durians, he’s had unique goals set out from the very beginning, with more added as the subathon kept on rolling. “A lot of the goals have been insane and super fun with the community,” he added. the unlimited subathon is going well https://t.co/S0gcLNRoo4 @Twitch_ANZ #TwitchStreamers @lewymitch pic.twitter.com/KJ7bHpF6vr — pandatv (@PandaTVoce) June 6, 2021 With stretch goals already in mind for future subcounts, it appears there’s no slowing down anytime soon. In fact, PandaTV told Dexerto the stream will continue “until the timer runs out.” Therefore, the record-breaking Twitch stream could still be live for some time yet. “We will ride this out as long as we can! I hope people have enjoyed it as much as I have. It feels like the Truman Show.” Panda isn’t the only Twitch creator aiming for subathon glory either; hot on his heels is another Aussie star, popular Escape From Tarkov streamer Pestily, who is currently live with a long-running subathon of his own. Pestily has claimed he has a clear 50 day end-goal in mind, so keep tuned on Dexerto; the record may change again soon!

  • Aussie singer recruits Love Island star & Olympic pro for esports team – Dexerto

Aussie singer recruits Love Island star & Olympic pro for esports team Australian Idol runner-up and national icon Shannon Noll has unveiled the new-look roster for his esports team ‘Motley Squad,’ including a Love Island starlet, an Olympic gold medalist, and a FaZe Clan gamer. It’s been 16 years since Noll first appeared on Australian televisions as one of the favorites to take out the country’s first Idol series. Though he lost to Guy Sebastian in the finale, the Orange-born star still secured a five-album deal with Sony. Now, nearly two decades later, the 44-year-old has turned his attention to competitive gaming, and is taking a star-studded roster into Australia’s Legion of Champions Series IV this weekend, where they’ll compete in CS:GO and PUBG. Alongside Noll – who will be competing under the gamer tag ‘Nollsie’ – the roster is composed of Love Island contestant-turned Instagram influencer Cassidy McGill, Sydney business socialite Roxy Jacenko, and Olympic medalist Steven Bradbury. Bradbury is best known for claiming gold at the 2002 Winter Olympics after all four of his rivals crashed in a last-corner pile-up, which has now become known as “Doing a Bradbury” in Australia folklore, but Noll said he was hoping the roster won’t have to rely on something similar in their online qualifiers. According to the rock singer, he thought long and hard about how to get “the right team together” to compete in the tournament, but admitted that they may be claiming the underdog tag as they fight for more than $22,000 in prize money. “I think the Motley Squad has a great mix of skill sets that will help us survive in the game a bit longer than if we were going solo,” he said. “I searched through my contacts, and realized that by bringing together Roxy’s drive, Cassidy’s secret love of gaming, and Steve’s winning underdog skills, we’d be a team that competitors would regret underestimating.” Love Island’s McGill said that she was looking forward to being the team’s “secret weapon,” especially considering many hadn’t realized she was a gamer. “As a home gamer it’s time for me to reveal my secret passion,” she said during the roster announcement. “When people look at me, they don’t think “gamer”, but I’m hoping to be the team’s secret weapon and help lead us to success.” The team will also have some gaming knowledge in their midst, with FaZe star Zac ‘Hazz’ Woodham joining the team as a coach, according to Kotaku, and is potentially being tipped as a playing member of the squad as well.

Aussie influencer quits social media due to backlash over killing two cats Instagram: emmaclaiir / Unsplash: Ariana SuárezAn Australian influencer recently admitted to killing not one but two cats as a child. Her followers were not impressed, leading to Claiir announcing that she will be stepping away from social media. Australian influencer Emma Claiir cohosted a podcast on April 17 with fellow influencer Kristy Jean when things took an unexpected turn. In the podcast, titled Simply Chaotic, Claiir admitted she killed two cats as a child, shocking many of her followers. Now, as the backlash continues to mount in the weeks following, Claiir has announced she will be stepping away from social media. “I was like swinging my cat around. Like I was just thinking it was like a stuffed toy and I accidentally let go of it [sic],” Claiir said in the podcast. “It died from the fright.” She went on to say her sister didn’t speak to her for months following the incident, and her mom was “fuming”. But the story didn’t end there. Claiir added, “If you really want to know more about me, I also killed my best friend’s cat.” While Claiir maintains that the killings were an accident, people were disgusted by the influencer’s approach to the story. Many felt she was “bragging” and “proud” of her actions, and didn’t feel like there was any remorse. Claiir went on to defend herself via an Instagram story, referring to the story as “a bit of light humor”. Multiple brands dropped the influencer due to her past animal cruelty, including MCoBeauty, Glassons, Lust Minerals, and Princess Polly Boutique. Despite posting another Instagram story with an apology, Claiir has since revealed she received death threats and lost her job. With the backlash taking a toll on her mental health, Claiir announced she would be saying goodbye to social media, “Will it be forever? I don’t know yet but what I do know is that it’s going to be for a while and probably longer than most of you would expect.” For all the latest entertainment news, be sure to check out our page here.

  • Aubrey Plaza’s SNL spoof of Avatar, White Lotus, & M3gan goes viral on TikTok – Dexerto

Aubrey Plaza’s SNL spoof of Avatar, White Lotus, & M3gan goes viral on TikTok Twitter: SNLThe latest episode of SNL is going viral online thanks to an impressive hosting job by Aubrey Plaza, with the actor recreating some of the most talked about shows and films at the moment including the likes of Avatar, M3gan, and White Lotus. Hot off the success of her role in the second season of White Lotus, Aubrey Plaza stopped by SNL to host the most recent episode of the long-running comedy show. She began her appearance on the show by using her opening monologue as a way to recreate her humble beginnings as an NBC tour guide. With the TikTok clip for the monologue already gaining 2.2 million views on TikTok, that number only continues to rise. From there, Plaza then took part in a series of sketches, all of which made fun of some of the most viral and talked about pop culture moments at this point in time. Joined alongside the SNL cast, Plaza featured in sketches that poked fun at the newest Avatar: The Way of the Water film as well as the new horror film M3gan. The latter of the two feature Plaza as the titular character in what they imagine to be the sequel to the brand-new movie. Aubrey Plaza and SNL make fun of White Lotus & recreate viral Miss Universe 2023 video However, the two sketches that have seemingly gotten the most attention on TikTok are the “Black Lotus” one as well as the recreation of the Miss Universe 2023 announcement video. The former of the two poked fun of the over-the-top nature of White Lotus and how some of the characters featured in the second season had very little common sense. For Plaza, her role in the show was a breakout moment for the actor, solidifying her dramatic acting chops given that she is best known for her deadpan comedy. In the Miss Universe 2023 sketch, Plaza plays the French contestant, imitating the way she yelled out her country of origin almost exactly like the real-life woman did. Something that TikTok users have been commenting about online and also reacting to. One TikTok user commented “the FRANCE was so accurate” while another pointed out how this sketch was the “first time I have laughed out loud at SNL in a while.” Thanks to her committed performance, another TikToker wrote that “Aubrey should host SNL every week.” Both sketches already have over 1.2 million views on the SNL TikTok page despite only having been posted 11 hours ago. However, arguably the biggest surprise of the night was seeing Amy Poehler return to SNL, reprising her role on Weekend Update as her iconic Parks and Recreations character Leslie Knope. Given how quickly fans have flocked to this latest batch of Aubrey Plaza content, it’s likely that these videos and sketches will get even more attention in the coming days. • Aubrey O’Day shades Addison Rae’s music: “Stop pretending they have talent” – Dexerto

Aubrey O’Day shades Addison Rae’s music: “Stop pretending they have talent” YouTube: Entertainment Tonight, James CharlesAmerican singer Aubrey O’Day lashed out at TikTok star Addison Rae, shading the influencer’s lack of “talent” after she broke into the music industry in 2021. Addison Rae is more than a social media star. First gaining fame on TikTok, where she currently boasts over _ million followers, she’s since scored a multi-film deal with Netflix after making her acting debut in 2021’s ‘He’s All That.’ Rae has also broken into the music biz, releasing her very first single, Obsessed, in 2021. An entire album of her unreleased songs also leaked on SoundCloud, showing that the star has a lot more up her sleeve when it comes to singing and songwriting. However, not everyone is jazzed about Rae’s musical come-up. American singer Aubrey O’Day, formerly part of girl group Danity Kane, lashed out at the TikToker in an interview with SiriusXM, where she also took shots at Dr. Phil star Bhad Babie. Aubrey O’Day lashes out at Addison Rae’s music career “Beyonce can release a genius album, and the two biggest artists that have huge record deals are Addison Rae and Bhad Bhabie,” O’Day claimed. “OK, let’s stop pretending they have talent, please.” “I don’t know the dances that she did on TikTok, I’m sure they were very impressive,” she added. “Maybe she should go with Gil and learn Janet Jackson’s choreography like we had to, or stand in front of Diddy, Jay-Z, or LA Reid and sing and prove yourself every day like I had to.” “Everybody thinks they’re a star, everybody can be a star,” the singer continued. “You can fart the national anthem on TikTok and you’re more famous than me. You’re more relevant than me, you have bigger numbers than me. Congratulations, but the old-school people had to fight through the gatekeepers every step of the way.” It’s clear that O’Day isn’t a fan of Addison Rae, who received an avalanche of criticism for her role in Netflix’s ‘He’s All That’ film last year — a movie that received mixed reviews from viewers. Rae is far from the only TikToker to have come under fire for branching out from her status as an influencer, either. Even Dixie D’Amelio, who has successfully transitioned from a full-time TikTok star to a bonafide music artist, had to delete a teaser trailer for her song with Wiz Khalifa at the beginning of her career due to backlash from critics. For now, Addison has yet to respond to O’Day’s criticisms — and it’s uncertain that she ever will, as the star recently deleted her Twitter account for unknown reasons.

  • Attack on Titan directors tease major theme for Season 3 Part 2 – Dexerto

Attack on Titan directors tease major theme for Season 3 Part 2 Attack on Titan, KodanshaWith the second part of popular anime Attack on Titan’s third season looming on the horizon, fans are more tense than ever – and the directors may have teased something “colossal” for the show ahead of release. [WARNING: Spoilers ahead!] According to chief directors Tetsuro Araki and Masashi Koizuka, friendship will be a “key theme” in the latter half of Attack on Titan’s third season, as stated in Animedia’s April 2019 issue. The directors encouraged viewers to pay special attention to the friendships between Survey Corps Commanders Levi and Erwin, as well as the bond between Eren, Mikasa, and Armin. “When you think about it, Attack on Titan is a story that overflows with friendship,” Araki said of the show. The directors likewise pointed out the final episode of Season 3 Part 1, noting an important conversation between the trio. The long-lasting friendship between Eren, Armin, and Mikasa will play a major role in Season 3’s central theme. “In that scene, you can see a difference in Eren and Armin’s priorities,” Araki continued, taking note of a “rift” that had grown between the two. “It makes for a thrilling story, and it hurts my heart.” They also appeared to hint at possible romantic development between Eren and Mikasa, claiming that their relationship was different than pure “friendship” – although they declined to go into further detail on the subject. Reiner and Bertholdt’s sudden betrayal will likely be further discussed in Season 3’s second part, according to the show’s directors. In addition, the camaraderie between protagonists-turned-villains Reiner and Bertholdt will also play a major part in Season 3’s second part, as Koizuka hopes to bring the characters to the forefront as foils to Eren and Armin’s relationship. While the directors didn’t go into much detail concerning Levi and Erwin’s friendship, Araki claimed to be in the middle of creating a storyboard between the two, and stated that they are “there for each other, even for trivial matters.” Attack on Titan’s directors urge fans to pay attention to the relationship between Erwin and Levi in the show’s final part of its third season. The second part of Attack on Titan’s third season is expected to release on April 28, 2019, although no exact date was initially revealed. “Attack on Titan” S3 2nd-cour anime key visual (episodes #50-59). • ‘AT&T Girl’ Milana Vayntrub breaks down over harassment from ads – Dexerto

‘AT&T Girl’ Milana Vayntrub breaks down over harassment from ads Instagram: mintmilana[jwplayer mgzBNoPb] Actress and comedian Milana Vayntrub broke down in tears during a recent Instagram Live after receiving thousands of harassing comments due to her appearance in widely-popular AT&T commercials. For those not in the loop, Vayntrub — an Uzbekistan-born, American entertainer — has become quite a popular figure in online circles as of late, gaining a wide array of admirers across the internet due to her physical attributes. First appearing in AT&T advertisements from 2013 to 2016, Vayntrub has once again made waves after reigniting her stint as a spokesperson for the company in 2020 — but this time, the internet is taking their fandom a little too far. A quick look at the comments on Vayntrub’s Instagram photos turns up a slew of inappropriate sentiments, with many making note of the comedian’s body in a less-than-positive manner. It seems that these comments have gotten extremely out of hand, as evidenced by the actress’s Instagram Live on August 23, where she broke down over the near-constant harassment she receives on social media due to her looks. “Maybe it just has to be with being a person on the internet, or maybe it’s specific to being a woman on the internet,” she began. “…all of these, ‘milk,’ ‘milkies’ comments, and ‘milk wagons,’ and all of that, it hurts my feelings.” https://twitter.com/emotylol/status/1297718936289415168?s=20 “I’m hurting, and it’s bringing up a lot of feelings of sexual assault, and I’m just like… you know?” she continued. “Walking my dog, and, getting messages from people who have distorted my pictures to get likes on their accounts.” https://twitter.com/uwusauce/status/1297622993066168324?s=20 Despite Vayntraub’s plea to fans, it doesn’t seem like the harassment is dying down anytime soon, if the comments beneath clips taken from her viral Instagram Live are any indication of public sentiment. “I could agree that maybe she doesn’t like the attention she has gotten, but she posted pictures like this on the internet,” one critic wrote, sharing a photo of the star. “Pretty sure she knew what was going to go down. On January 30, Twitch streamer Atrioc apologized via his stream after a short clip revealed he had visited a website that produced sexually explicit deepfakes of female streamers. Affected streamers, like Pokimane, QTCinderella, and SweetAnita, have responded to condemn the behavior. It has spawned controversy elsewhere in the community, with Ethan Klein criticized by xQc for laughing as QTCinderella spoke about the incident. He has since apologized. Now, Atrioc has offered another lengthy apology via a Twitlonger. Atrioc issues second apology following deepfake controversy The statement apologized to the women specifically affected by the deepfakes and pledged to take action against deepfake technology sexualizing women without their consent. It opened: “This statement is long overdue. My actions have taken me from someone I was proud of, trying to make a positive impact in my community, to a “deepfake p*rn guy”. The scar of that is felt deeply on my heart. “First and foremost I want to specifically apologize to Maya and Pokimane… Your names were dragged into it and you were sexualized against your will… I’m sorry I didn’t reach out sooner, I’m sorry my actions have lead to further exploitation of you and your body, and I’m sorry your experience is not uncommon.” He went on to explain that he will be stepping down from content and focussing on combating the prevalence of similar websites, as well as praising QT and her successful effort to shut down the website in question. He finished: “To ensure this issue has my full focus I am stepping away from content creation and OFFBRAND. “Lastly, to anyone who has expressed the sentiment of “support” that what I did wasn’t wrong, or that I shouldn’t apologize- F**k you. Sincerely, I do not want your support, I do not stand with you. This will be the last time you hear from me for a while. I’d rather you see my actions. I will try my absolute hardest to combat the damage I caused. Thank you.”

  • Twitch streamer Atrioc slyly roasts Dream’s Minecraft cheating scandal – Dexerto

Twitch streamer Atrioc slyly roasts Dream’s Minecraft cheating scandal Former Twitch marketing staff-turned streamer Brandon ‘Atrioc’ Ewing made a sneaky comment about Minecraft YouTube sensation ‘Dream’ saying he has “Déjà vu” while reacting to a cheating video on stream. Dream, who has amassed 24.9M subscribers was accused of cheating in by the Java Speedrunning mod team in December 2020. Allegedly, Dream altered his game files to give him an advantage during his world-record speed runs. This sparked a huge controversy, leading to the Minecraft star denying all accusations and launching his own investigation. Dream even hired an astrophysicist to help clear his name, and in the end, it left him doubting if he was truly innocent. Six months after the initial accusations, Dream released a Twitlonger post on May 30, admitting that he had increased drop rates enabled. Dream also apologized to the speedrunning moderation team, after previously saying they were biased and mocking the investigation that they held. On July 31, just two months after Dream admitting to cheating, former Twitch marketing employee-turned-streamer Atrioc made a comment while reacting to a YouTube video on how Dragon Warrior III speedrunners used tricks to beat the game faster. A bug was mentioned during the video that involves changing the memory of the game and using the “Dream Ruby” item. Atrioc was quick to point out that the video pretty much mentioned the Minecraft star, and how familiar the situation was. “Wow, using Dream to change the game’s code… interesting. I feel like I’m getting some sort of Déjà vu… I don’t know why.” said the streamer, prompting his chat to fall about themselves laughing. This is of course referencing Dream cheating in Minecraft, and Atrioc isn’t the first to talk about the situation. Earlier in July, PewDiePie also gave his take on the situation, reacting to Dream’s apology video. During the video, PewDiePie says that: “This whole thing could have been avoided.” The Minecraft star has seemingly put the whole thing behind him but others aren’t going to let him forget so fast.

  • Atrioc helps remove 200k deepfakes after paying for images of female streamers – Dexerto

Atrioc helps remove 200k deepfakes after paying for images of female streamers YouTube: AtriocTwitch streamer Brandon ‘Atrioc’ Ewing has revealed that he’s helped remove almost 200k deepfakes from the internet after he was caught paying for the controversial content back in January 2023. Back in January 2023, Atrioc issued a tearful apology on stream after he accidentally revealed on stream that he had paid for deepfake images of female streamers. He swiftly stepped down from his position in OFFBRAND, the agency he started alongside Ludwig, and announced a break from streaming. Atrioc uploaded an update video on July 17, 2023, revealing some of the progress he’s done to help remove the controversial content. Atrioc removes deepfakes of Amouranth & more In the video, Atrioc revealed that he has been working with a company to automatically issue DMCAs to remove deepfake content across the internet. With an initial budget of $100,000 and a goal to remove 100k pieces of deepfake content, Ewing revealed that he and his team blew through both goals. “We didn’t hit that number, we smashed it. I’m super proud to say that as of July 9, 2023, we got 193,000 things taken down,” he said. “We did it with $122,000.” (Topic starts at 3:04) Atrioc went on to explain that he worked with large creators like Amouranth but also smaller content creators who reached out to him. With a lot of the smaller creators, he was able to remove 100% of what they requested to have taken down. The Twitch streamer also revealed that he was able to help get entire subreddits that featured deepfake images of female streamers removed from the platform as well. With everything accomplished, Atrioc will be returning to content full-time soon — ending his break after six months. • Atrioc gets T1 tattoo to celebrate Worlds 2022 win, but it’s aged poorly – Dexerto

Atrioc gets T1 tattoo to celebrate Worlds 2022 win, but it’s aged poorly Atrioc/Riot Games | TwitchAtrioc put his faith in T1, one of the most accomplished organizations in League of Legends, by getting a tattoo ahead of their Grand Finals match at Worlds 2022. Now that they lost, he’s stuck with it forever. T1 were heavily favored going into the Worlds 2022 Grand Finals. Their opponent, DRX, just barely scraped their way into the international League of Legends tournament and gained enough momentum through the event to win it all. For T1 fans that were confident their team would take the trophy and that Faker would get his fourth world title, it was a disappointing finish. But Atrioc’s confidence went beyond rooting for T1. Before the matches even started, Atrioc got a tattoo that read “T1 World Champs ’22”. Now that they’ve lost, he’s stuck with the tattoo forever. Atrioc made a massive bet on T1 and lost Getting a tattoo of the team you’re rooting for winning before they even play is a confident bet, to say the least, and Atrioc had enough faith in T1 to make that gamble. It was a close set, and T1 fought their hardest to go for the win. However, DRX were able to persevere and lift the trophy. Atrioc’s friends and fans reacted to the bold gesture before and after the matches, and the internet isn’t going to let him live this one down any time soon. The original tweet reads: “Getting a tattoo after your team wins shows pride. But getting one the day before they play? That shows confidence.” The tweets before and after the games took place have very different tones. Beforehand, people like T1 CEO Joe Marsh showed their respect for Atrioc’s commitment. Afterward, it was a bit different. Ludwig replied with a simple “…” following T1’s loss, scarra replied with a similar “Oh….“, and even Hasan Piker got in on the fun by replying “most normal league fan“. Atrioc has taken this in stride and turned it into a way to shout out MKLeo, a Smash Bros. player signed with T1.

  • ATM video goes viral for scoreboard ranking money in your account against others – Dexerto

ATM video goes viral for scoreboard ranking money in your account against others Twitter: Joel Franco and Youtube: DiploIn a viral video, an ATM machine ranked the users by the total amount of money they held in their bank account, with the top user holding onto a shocking sum of money. Sometimes rocking up to a bank and using the ATM can be a depressing experience. But could you imagine your account being ranked by others at your bank? Showcased in a viral video on Twitter, user Joel Franco highlighted a brand new ATM machine that did just that. Unlike the conventional ATM machine, which values privacy and allows the user to manage their money, this new ATM machine directly compares the users, ranking them according to their total money. This is essentially IRL ranked, but it’s a bit more embarrassing to perform “poorly”. In the viral video, the person recording explains how the machine works. “This is an ATM where once you put in your debit card, it’ll take a picture of you and it’ll put your bank account balance on the leaderboard, and it’ll rank among other guests to see who has the most money currently.” The video creator then showcased the top ranked person, who had a whopping sum of $2.98 million in their bank account. But this score was beat by none other than Diplo, famous DJ and musical artist, who showed off a high score of $3 million. It eventually creeped up to more than $9 million by the end of the night. On the other hand, a couple of people had zero dollars, marking a stark contrast between the top and the bottom of the leaderboard. People began memeing the ATM, poking fun at themselves if they were ever to participate in this interesting competition. So for those broke people going on a first date, it’s probably not the best idea to try and show off your in this particular game. You’re likely better off going to a conventional arcade, and attempting to win your date something memorable.

  • Atlas has players so frustrated that even stream snipers are getting sick of playing it – Dexerto

Atlas has players so frustrated that even stream snipers are getting sick of playing it The release of Grapeshot Game’s new Pirate-themed MMO Atlas has not gotten off to a smooth start, and now it looks like even stream snipers are giving up on the game. After being delayed, the game was finally released into early-access and given to a number of streamers, who quickly discovered along with players that the game left a lot to be desired. Most streamers moved on quickly after that, and the game’s rating on Steam has been going down ever since release. Some, like Twitch streamer Sebastian Hans ‘Forsen’ Eli Fors have stuck it out for the content, but it looks like even some of his most dedicated stream snipers are giving up on the game. Forsen has managed to work with his stream snipers to turn his Atlas experience into something completely insane, but still entertaining, in a weird way. But now, it seems like the game’s multitude of problems has worn on the usually resilient stream snipers. “Ok, you know what? Forsen, we love, like, stream sniping and all that but I think we need to go to a different game, bro,” one of the snipers told the streamer. It really says something about a game when even stream snipers get sick of trolling their favorite streamer in it, although Atlas is still technically in Early Access, so it has time to improve and iron out any bugs before it’s official “release.” To his credit, Forsen hasn’t given up on Atlas yet, which could be one of the first instances of a streamer simply outlasting their stream snipers in a game.

  • Atlanta Braves mascot dresses up as Dr Disrespect at MLB playoff game – Dexerto

Atlanta Braves mascot dresses up as Dr Disrespect at MLB playoff game Twitter: BlooperBravesThe official mascot for the Atlanta Braves MLB team dressed up as Dr Disrespect during a playoff game on October 11 and it was a home run with fans. Dr Disrespect’s love of sports and competition is pretty well-documented. The two-time has been spotted in-costume at NBA games and routinely talks sports on stream. Now, his likeness was adopted by the Atlanta Braves’ mascot Blooper during their game against the Milwaukee Brewers and it seemed to help them pull off the win. With Blooper dressed as the two-time, equipped with his caterpillar mustache, shades, and red vest, the mascot cheered his team to a 3-0 victory. I’M GONNA NEED TO SEE 42 MILLION FANS PACKED IN THE ARENA TODAY MINIMUM — Blooper (@BlooperBraves) October 12, 2021 Taking to Twitter after the match, the mascot posted a photo of himself in-costume saying “snap em up yayayayaya,” Doc’s signature catchphrase. The mannerisms didn’t stop there either, with the mascot further adding: “I’m gonna need to see 42 million fans packed in the arena today. Minimum.” It seems like Dr Disrespect was a big fan of the outfit too as he liked the tweet and even RT’d it to his 2.2M fans. Speaking of fans, even those who weren’t Braves supporters were impressed. “I’m not a Braves fan. I’m a die-hard Dodgers fan. But I respect this,” a user wrote. @drdisrespect I’m not a braves fan. I’m die hard @Dodgers fan. But I Respect this. Haha get it, See what I did there. No okay. — Clown (@ElClownBaby) October 12, 2021 “Ok I’m not a braves fan but come on, this is incredible,” another said, praising the costume. It’s pretty cool that Dr Disrespect has become such a big name that a mascot from one of the world’s largest leagues would dress up as him. This isn’t the first time that Blooper became the two-time either. Back in August of 2020, he whipped out the costume, but sadly, there were no fans in the arena to appreciate it. Maybe one day we’ll get to see Blooper and Dr Disrespect collaborate, but until then, this is one of the best tributes to Doc that we’ve seen. It’s just too bad it’s not an entry for his Doctober Halloween costume contest.

  • Athena blasts past Ludwig & Pestily subathons with 1,000-hour Twitch stream – Dexerto

Athena blasts past Ludwig & Pestily subathons with 1,000-hour Twitch stream Twitch: Envy AthenaLate on September 24, in the early hours of the Dallas morning, Twitch star Athena will hit 1000 hours live, eclipsing subathons from Ludwig, Pestily, and more. Dexerto sat down with Alejandra to talk cracking the massive milestone, her two-year challenge, and how she’ll celebrate. Last month, Athena had — in her words — a “really bad month.” Motivation-wise, the 25-year-old had struggled to get onto Twitch every day, and was mainly just punching numbers to keep her two-year challenge (going live every day for 730 days in a row) alive. The Rocket League star found herself considering ways she could “revitalize” herself, and landed on a subathon. “I watched Mira do her subathon, and the fact she hit that 1000 hours (Mira finished in August). That inspired me. Seeing how her community reacted, how much fun it was, it was why I decided that I could go for that 1000 hours,” Athena said. The Twitch star “needed something to keep going,” and an uncapped subathon seemed perfect. 42 days later, she’s still streaming 24 hours a day. Athena could have been forgiven for sounding a little tired when I called her up on September 23, considering she’d been streaming her life for 993 hours at that point. Instead, she was the opposite; bubbly, and bouncing off the walls. “I’m having a laugh right now at this Nintendo Direct thing, the Mario movie,” she admitted, talking about the Chris Pratt, Charlie Day-led movie that had just been unveiled the same evening. “Every line is going to be a meme, I swear!” That same bubbly energy didn’t fade away after we had a laugh at the Nintendo reveal, however; Athena is simply riding the high of her Twitch subathon and, right now, loving every single minute of it, whether gaming, chatting, or sleeping. “I’m actually not too bad now. The first week was pretty tough, I’ll admit that!” she laughed. “But I’m in a routine now, getting up, doing the same thing every day. It’s kind of like a job, but a little more extreme? I’m in the rhythm… you get used to it all, as weird as that sounds. I have the same thing to do every day, at least. That routine includes Rocket League (of course), as well as Apex Legends, Just Chatting, streaming herself living her life, and her moderators playing games. The one big thing missing from other major subathons like Ludwig’s or Pestily’s is her sleeping on-stream: the Twitch star made a calculated decision to remove that element of the challenge for obvious reasons. Those sleeping breaks are the one time she stops streaming. Apart from that, Athena has been at the keyboard, with her camera on at intervals, gaming her way towards that 1000-hour milestone, and well beyond. When she first started the subathon, she was expecting “maybe a week”. There were a few things the Team Envy star had left out of her calculations, however. First was her Twitch community, who have been pouring subs in near-regularly for more than 40 days in a row. The other was Twitch’s “Subtember” drive. From September 1 to September 30, the Amazon-owned platform offered an excellent deal for everyone: 20% off subs and gifted subscriptions. The only problem for Athena was it meant everyone and their mums were subbing. The promo has driven her current subscriber count up to around 16,000. Right now, as of publication, she has just under four hours left on her counter. “It’s funny going back to when I first started. I was tweeting out updates basically hourly, and then you can see where I realized maybe I was going to be here a while. I’m like, why has it gone from 45 minutes left [on the counter] to fifty hours? I just thought, ‘I’m in for a ride here’. “I had totally no expectations for the subathon, probably low if anything, but the response has just blown me away.” Watch Athena’s ongoing Twitch subathon here. I ask Athena what she has planned after her Twitch subathon ends and surprisingly enough, she’s “ready for more”. When Ludwig wrapped his historic haul he took a streaming break, while Pestily was absent for nearly a week. The Envy star, though, is already planning her next adventure. “I’m heading to South America in December, yeah,” she revealed. “It’s a holiday, but I’m going to take an IRL backpack and a camera, and hopefully we’ll be able to keep streaming there, see how that goes. Beyond that, expect more Envy Athena music too. “I think that’s on the horizon for me, Rocket League, Monstercat. That’s definitely coming up on the radar.” And, hilariously enough, Athena is fine if people stop subbing. “I think we’ve hit enough goals now, right? Listen, it’s all been awesome, but it’s time to pack it up and go home now,” she laughed. “No, but seriously I’m just going to be here until the end, seeing how far it all goes. The Twitch star continued: “This is something I never imagined doing, and I never imagined happening how it has. I’m just enjoying it as long as I can.”

  • ‘Astros mean girl’ apologizes for mocking Jackie La Bonita in viral TikTok after backlash – Dexerto

‘Astros mean girl’ apologizes for mocking Jackie La Bonita in viral TikTok after backlash TikTok: Litz.Madrigal/Jackie La BonitaLitzareli Madrigal, one of the dubbed Astros’ mean girls, has apologized after making fun of Jackie La Bonita for taking photos at a recent game as the video went super viral. On April 22, TikTok user Jackie La Bonita has the internet rallying around her after she uploaded a clip of herself taking photos while at a Houston Astros baseball game. It even got to the point where celebrities like Cardi B stepped in to defend Jackie. The clip, which has racked up over 42.5 million views, had users defending her because, in the background, there were two women mocking Jackie for taking photos during the game. These two women were quickly dubbed the ‘Astros mean girls’, referencing the classic 2004 movie, after Jackie used the Mean Girls hashtag on her clip. While the TikToker turned off the comments on her super viral clip, plenty of social media users tried to out the two girls anyway. Now, one of them – Litzareli Madrigal – has apologized for her actions. Astros Mean Girl apologizes to Jackie La Bonita over viral TikTok Well, she’s actually apologized twice for her role in the viral clip, once on her own TikTok and another on her Instagram. “My actions were completely unacceptable and caused harm to those around me,” Litzareli said in her Instagram story. “I take full responsibility for my behavior, and I want to express my sincere regret for the pain and suffering that I caused.” Litz added that she wanted to do “everything in my power to make amends.” Her apology on TikTok echoed that too. “I sincerely apologize to Jackie, her friends, her family, and her supporters,” she added. “After enduring such a difficult ordeal, I want to turn a page to the next chapter in my life. Please, stop being so hateful to my family, my friends, and myself.” Some users quickly turned things back on Litz, commenting that her apology is “laaaaaame,” just like how the ‘mean girls’ can be heard saying in the video about Jackie. It remains to be seen if amends will be made with Jackie over the clip, but it keeps spreading across social media and Jackie hasn’t posted a follow-up yet.

  • Astrid Wett hospitalized after being slammed through table by boxing opponent – Dexerto

Astrid Wett hospitalized after being slammed through table by boxing opponent Astrid WettOnlyFans star Astrid Wett was seen being carried by paramedics on a stretcher after being slammed through a table by Alexia Grace before their boxing match. After taking down AJ Bunker on Misfits Series 005 in March, Astrid Wett has been itching to get back in the ring. However, the self-proclaimed ‘female champion’ has had no luck, becoming frustrated with KSI’s boxing promotion claiming that they’ve shown her “no support” in arranging another bout. Since then, the OnlyFans star has taken matters into her own hands, kicking off Wett Promotions to arrange her own fights. After things heated up between her and Alexia Grace in May, when the two got into a scuffle at the KSI vs Joe Fournier press conference, Alexia was first on the hit list. The two were expected to go blow for blow on July 29, with the event being streamed live on YouTube. However, before the two even stepped in the ring, it ended in complete disaster, resulting in Astrid being carried out of the venue by paramedics on a stretcher. Astrid Wett carried out on stretcher after getting slammed through table Before the two OnlyFans stars even put the gloves on and stepped in the ring, Astrid slapped Alexia across the face while staring down at each other, where her opponent responded by slamming her straight through a table next to them. It was clear that Astrid was injured, where the broadcast was then quickly cut to an intermission screen. Moments later, the camera briefly cut back, showing Astrid being treated by two paramedics before the stream ultimately ended. Shortly after, Astrid’s management shared on Twitter a photo of the OnlyFans star lying in the back of an ambulance on a stretcher. “Astrid is in stable condition. Please respect her and her teams privacy at this time,” the tweet read. In another tweet, her management put concerns to rest, assuring fans that Astrid is okay and is expected to make a full recovery. “Thank you everyone for your concern. Astrid is going to be fine – she’s expected to make a full recovery. We appreciate your support so much.” There have since been no more updates on Astrid’s condition, although we’ll keep you updated right here on Dexerto as the story progresses.

  • Astrid Wett finally kisses ‘KSI’ after hilarious viral rejection – Dexerto

Astrid Wett finally kisses ‘KSI’ after hilarious viral rejection Misfits BoxingOnlyFans model and influencer boxer Astrid Wett kissed a KSI impersonator after the two stars went viral when the YouTube star dodged a surprise kiss last year. KSI and Astrid Wett went viral last year as the Prime Hydration co-owner just narrowly missed a kiss from the OnlyFans star. The YouTuber quickly leaned back to avoid an unexpected advancement from Astrid during weigh-ins for the Jay Swingler vs Cherdleys boxing event — which the internet went absolutely crazy over. Now, Astrid has got what she wanted as she got a smooch from the British YouTuber, which turned out to be a fake KSI. Astrid Wett kisses fake KSI at weigh-in Ahead of her bout against AJ Bunker on the undercard of Jay Swingler vs Nicholai Perrett, the OnlyFans model finally got to kiss KSI during her weigh-in. However, it turned out to be a fake impersonator. Wearing his classic bandana and even holding a bottle of Prime, the fake ‘KSI’ stood behind Astrid as she stepped on the scale. After she stepped off, the OnlyFans star went in for a quick kiss, and instead of being swerved like last time, the fake YouTube star returned the gesture. It’s fair to say many found the moment hilarious, while some flamed the obviously fake KSI. “That’s not KSI that’s KFC,” one fan joked on Twitter. “Thats ksi from the flee market,” said another. After initially rejecting her, the YouTuber explained in a video why he actually turned her advancement down — explaining how he hates public affection and thinks it’s cringe. But at least now Astrid has finally got what she wanted.

  • New VTuber agency AstraLine is disrupting “run-of-the-mill” storytelling in medium – Dexerto

New VTuber agency AstraLine is disrupting “run-of-the-mill” storytelling in medium Supplied: Duke Doke / AstraLineLucius Merryweather is taking lore into his own hands with his new virtual talent agency AstraLine. With five creators from varied backgrounds, and plenty of backing from Merryweather Media, they’re here to break storytelling conventions in the VTuber space. VTubers and lore go hand and hand. Some build entire universes around their model’s story. Others just leave it as a short aside. But there’s no doubt storytelling is a critical part of the medium, giving an extra leg to the designs fans fawn over. It’s only become more elaborate in 2023 too. Lore videos are commonplace at VTuber debuts. Visual novels are an alternative option too, or even a sketch like Vantacrow Bringer’s during his recent NIJISANJI debut or Haruka Karibu for VShojo. But what happens outside of the big reveals and they’re just sitting there streaming games? How can stories be weaved into these mundane events? “VTuber agencies do not tend to prioritize fictional storytelling all that much,” Lucius Merryweather mused. “Many have commented on this disconnect between VTuber lore. Why is this VTuber’s lore about them being a powerful mythical god, when they just play Apex? “My opinion is that this disconnect is fun. It’s fun to watch a powerful mythical god play Apex Legends and talk about anime.” Despite that enjoyable uncoupling, VTubing’s top loremaster wants to take storytelling in the virtual space even further. That was ultimately the inspiration behind his new project AstraLine. “AstraLine is an agency with a focus on story events,” he continued. “An evolving storyline with villains, world-building, with every member getting their chance to shine both in their own storylines, and appearing in others storylines.” The VTuber agency, aligned with Merry’s existing Merryweather Media brand, is debuting on September 2 with five members. The Danish dog VTuber is included in that, alongside long-time friend Lumi. He’s also branched out into his network of eclectic content creators to handpick the final three. Alfhilde Odinsdottir, also known as Alfi, is a history buff. Nick Nocturne, known for the popular Night Mind YouTube channel, is a master of all things “unfiction”. And while Fredrik Knudsen, the man behind Down The Rabbit Hole, isn’t too keen on being called a “documentarian”, he is well known for his deep dives into all things internet culture and weird history. The five of them combined — given Lumi’s musical and cosplay lean, and Merry’s background in creative writing — bring a whole new skill set to VTuber storytelling. And if you chat to any one of them, they’re keen to break the rules and redefine what it means to be a virtual star. “The average VTuber follower can boil what a VTuber is to a quick sentence or two — and that’s just not enough for us,” Nick Nocturne told Dexerto. “We’re about what can be done that breaks those run-of-the-mill expectations, doing new things with the medium and platforms, telling stories beyond just lore videos on debut.” Bringing traditional YouTube storytelling to VTubing Speaking to all of AstraLine’s VTubers, there’s one unified focus: bringing traditional YouTube storytelling to VTubing. That “evergreen content”, Merry said, won’t be the only focus. But it’ll play a core role in the world building around AstraLine, as well as bring VTubers into a space known for its faceless stars. Fredrik and Nick are big assets in that regard. The two have a combined following of two million subscribers on YouTube from this long-form timeless content. But streaming presents a new medium to share that craft, and weave new stories they couldn’t before. “I came to terms with the intuition that I was missing a great opportunity to expand my abilities of content coverage and exploration by not streaming,” Nick admitted. “The few moments I [streamed] on YouTube for my channel, Night Mind, showed me there was definite value in it.” “Historically, I’ve never found success doing what other people are doing,” Fredrik added. “AstraLine shares a lot of the same language and conventions of a typical VTubing agency, but our roster allows us to do things very differently. “Even as a totally indie VTuber, I was rather unique in my content in the way I would dive into and share peculiar topics that interested me. But in this new context, I think we’ll stand out even more. We’ll discover niches that people didn’t even know existed by creating the content that we want to see but nobody is making.” Nick spoke at length about this “unfiction” element that exists in VTubing. There’s already a suspension of disbelief and reality built into the virtual world via the models streamers use. Why not take that a bit further? There are ways to build these stories across platforms, and ultimately across mediums. It brings the viewers right into the action — you’re not just watching along, but immersed in the universe and encouraged to interact. You can explore niche topics and tropes with intrigue and curiosity. And while if you dig you can read between the lines, where’s the fun in that? AstraLine is a way to fully utilize the medium’s potential in that regard and give fans something they didn’t know they wanted. “[There was] a sincere feeling of a need to present VTubers who are delivering more than just performances for streams and a few recorded audio works,” he continued. “We want our viewers [to be] inspired to… have niche interests and love them freely. The very idea of what we can do to assist the community in discovering what they can find in themselves, I think, compels us just as strongly, if not more, than the spirit of sheer entertainment or comfort.” It’s not just the unfiction though. It’s the real-world stories lost to time. That’s where people like Fredrik and Alfhilde come into play. Whether it be an internet fable or random questions of history like ‘how did people dye their clothes’, VTubers have a way of sharing those tales in a unique manner. “I think a lot of people associate [history] with boring teachers and falling asleep in class in their high school days,” Alfi said. “I hope to change that perception with my content. I want it to be more fun and digestible and perhaps bring up topics that not many people talk about. “I hope all of our viewers can indulge in our various passions with us all and share our excitement and go on this adventure with all of us.” Expanding the Merryweather Media empire AstraLine is quite the undertaking with all that in mind. But Merry’s team has the resources at hand to pull it off. “Merryweather Media and AstraLine are set up to function and thrive alongside each other,” he explained. “AstraLine talent have the unique ability to work alongside our in-house art talent, and create projects with them, rather than being dependent on commissioning outside creators.” The studio is already known for its mega-popular Webtoon comics and existing VTuber lore projects for VShojo, NIJISANJI, and more. But they have hired more managers and staff to give AstraLine the tools to succeed in its own world-building mission. This includes a Live2D-specific artist and rigger in-house, which could be tapped for expansive projects. “It is, to my knowledge, the first time an art studio itself has launched a VTuber agency! And all of our art team is incredibly excited to work alongside VTubers, whose success will also bring many benefits to our artists. “We all love VTubers in this company, and this is our chance to create our very own VTuber IPs!” All members spoke about how this presents a great opportunity to expand on the content ideas they’ve had but maybe couldn’t tackle solo. The limitations of VTubing are there to be explored, and in doing so, new styles of content unlocked for everyone — not just AstraLine’s members. It’s also a bit full circle for Merry and Lumi individually, who have been working towards finding a collective to share this varied content journey with. “Me and Merry started our VTubing journey together in 2020 so we’ve always worked together hand in hand,” Lumi said. “Eventually we wanted something like AstraLine to be a safe haven for us and our friends. “You see many VTuber groups and you can feel the warmth from them so we wanted something like that too. A family.” Friends, first and foremost AstraLine only works, though, because of the bonds between its five members. They might not share content styles or even tastes, but they do bring innate curiosity and a willingness to break the rules. And, as Nick Nocturne put it: “What’s not exciting about a group of diverse creators who bring new things to the table instead of just filling a role and playing some games for a while?” Yes, they’re all tied to the eccentric Danish dog in some way. They were handpicked to join this project, nearly a year in the making, for a reason. “He has been a close friend for the majority of my professional career, and we’ve leaned on each other frequently,” Fredrik stated. “Every time I’ve worked on something with him, it’s been an absolute joy. But it goes beyond that. Even in that short time, where previously they might not have all been tied together before then, they’ve managed to connect deeply with each other and make lasting friendships. “We gel well together both on and off stream. This makes interesting collaborations extremely easy, since we all can bring something unique to one another’s streams naturally,” Fredrik continued. “I feel much happier and supported now than before AstraLine,” Alfi added. “I feel like I am part of a family and I feel immensely more positive and excited for the future with all my friends supporting me. “Personally I never felt like I would fit into any idol group and I’ve hovered from friend group to friend group. The topics I talk about are sometimes quite niche. To be offered a place in a group where I could just continue being myself, build on top of that, being given more chances to do cool things, and hang out with my friends felt amazing.” And for Merry and Lumi, who as a duo has been there for each other through thick and thin in VTubing and content creation, they get the joy of sharing their craft with a group for the long haul — not just the odd commission with a creator here or there. “We get to enjoy this beautiful genre of entertainment with more friends we trust and vibe with. And of course, now we’re halfway to filling up an Among Us lobby,” he laughed. “And since our managers all have VTuber avatars themselves, and we have a whole art team behind us, I am sure filling up big game lobbies will hardly be an issue!”

Young Twitch streamer tearfully thanks TimTheTatman for launching Fortnite career Twitter: Bradyz/Epic GamesAn aspiring Fortnite professional by the name of Bradyz has tearfully thanked Timothy ‘TimTheTatman’ Bethar for his help, after the two were pictured together at the Fortnite World Cup in New York. Away from being one of Twitch’s most successful Fortnite creators – with just shy of 4,000,000 followers – TimTheTatman is also considered one of the nicest guys on the streaming platform too. He was one of the first streamers to host Ewok, who has since joined FaZe Clan as their first female member ever. Not only this, but he regularly hosts charity streams alongside his good friends, Benjamin ‘Dr Lupo’ Lupo and Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins. 600However, it appears he has, once again, been using his fame and influence for good, as one young Fortnite player showed. On July 27, 14 year old streamer Bradyz tweeted his appreciation for the 29 year old’s work. “The man that started it all,” he said. “Crazy to think that this all happened off a random duo match, and now I’m looking at what I want to do for the rest of my life. Love Tim, love the opportunities I have been given, and above all, everyone supporting.” the man that started it all. crazy to think that this all happened off a random duo match, and now i’m looking at what i want to do for the rest of my life. love tim, love the oppurtunities i have been given, and above all, everyone supporting:black_heart: @timthetatman @JessicaBlevins pic.twitter.com/ZgBHbvSl65 — bradyz :rocket:NYC FOR WORLD CUP (@bradyz) July 27, 2019 However, it appears that Bradyz is not only grateful to Tim. He also tagged Jessica Blevins, wife and manager of Ninja, in the tweet as well. She responded emotionally to Bradyz original message of thanks. “If you watched this you would MINIMALLY have the reaction I did,” she said, referring to the pictures of Bradyz becoming emotional when meeting Tim at the World Cup.
