Destiny 2 players grieve the loss of TWAB after 7 year run: “Press F for TWAB” BungieDestiny 2 players are mourning the loss of their beloved developer blog TWAB after Bungie rebranded the posts to This Week in Destiny. Bungie is arguably one of the most communicative and open teams out there. With a Twitter account dedicated to dev insights and news, Bungie likes to keep its players informed about all the upcoming changes in their game. This often comes in many forms, whether it be in videos explaining the newest expansion, or even simple tweets informing players about maintenance. However, one of Bungie’s most iconic forms of communication has to be its TWAB. This Week at Bungie or (TWAB) for short was a weekly blog post by the developers that gave insight into what was happening for Destiny 2. This could range from plans for the game itself to various social initiatives Bungie partakes in from time to time. This post has become a favorite of Destiny 2 players, with many waiting for its release week by week, often spamming F5 in anticipation. Unfortunately for fans of the weekly TWAB, Bungie’s announcement of their new IP Marathon has resulted in a name change for the blog. This Week at Bungie has been officially renamed to This Week in Destiny (TWID). It’s a seismic shift, we know. Bungie replaces TWAB with This Week in Destiny In the most recent TWAB (now TWID), Bungie revealed that the name change was done to reflect the more Destiny-specific info that was shared there. “Starting today, the weekly Destiny blog will be named This Week in Destiny. As you may have noticed already, each week’s blog post will be announced on official Destiny social channels rather than on Bungie’s channels, and we’ll continue to drop the occasional standalone blog with in-depth details and insights from the dev team. “ Destiny 2 players were naturally heartbroken, mourning the loss of their beloved TWAB. “Where were you when TWAB was kill?” one comment echoed. Other players disagreed with the new name, talking about how much better TWAB flowed. “So I speak for everyone when I say we’re just gonna keep calling it the TWAB, right?” the commenter stated. Despite player reception, this change marks a momentous occasion in the history of Destiny, with the retirement of the TWAB after 7 long years. It seems that the TWID is here, and here to stay.

Destiny 2 players furious with “pathetic” August State of the Game update – Dexerto
Destiny 2 players furious with “pathetic” August State of the Game update BungieThe Destiny 2 community doesn’t appear all too thrilled with Bungie’s newest State of the Game update, with many lashing out at the “bad news” while criticizing the lack of “meaningful” changes. The Lightfall era of Destiny 2 has certainly been a turbulent one. From major backlash upon release due to its narrative shortcomings to criticism of everything from difficulty to seasonal events, the player base has been plenty vocal. After weeks of relative silence as devs gear up for The Final Shape showcase on August 22, Bungie looked to address its most avid players head-on with the August State of the Game post. It’s here where devs all but marked the end of Gambit development while also outlining why new PVP content is sparse. In response to the lengthy update, players have now fired back once more, vocalizing their displeasure with the latest Bungie blog. First came more general criticism of the post as a whole. For some players on the game’s Subreddit, they saw the lengthy writeup as a means of getting “all the bad news out the way” before the upcoming showcase. The justification for said ‘bad news’ then had many others taking issue with Bungie’s reasoning throughout. Whether it’s their justification for the state of PVP or the lack of Gambit content, hundreds of players were left fuming by the blog post. “My favorite part is that they mentioned every single criticism people have had about the playlists and straight up said ‘nah, it’s too much effort’ to each one,” a player said. “This whole state of the game is just a bunch of ‘yeah we hear your feedback but we’re not going to do anything meaningful to address it,’” another chimed in. “The way this reads you’d think they’re a 30-person dev team struggling to make ends meet, always short on resources. This is pathetic.” Meanwhile, others sounded off with specific points of feedback for the blog post. In particular, the lack of love for Gambit left some mourning the seemingly dying mode altogether. “They really just said we don’t give a f*** about gambit,” one player replied. “They’re just like ‘Oh you don’t like Gambit? Well now you don’t have to play it because we aren’t doing a damn thing for it,’” another added. Similarly, others criticized choices made in regard to new armor sets. With Bungie detailing why a new vendor set in every expansion isn’t possible, players questioned why premium sets for the Eververse store are. “The ‘we can’t do a new vendor set for every big expansion’ hurts extra when they can do multiple Eververse sets, per season,” one player highlighted. All up, many who engaged with the lengthy blog were left “mind blown” by the address from Destiny 2’s devs. No doubt hearing the feedback loud and clear, the ball is now in Bungie’s court to rebound in a big way with The Final Shape showcase in a few weeks.

Destiny 2 players furious with major ammo issues in Season of the Wish – Dexerto
Destiny 2 players furious with major ammo issues in Season of the Wish BungieDestiny 2 Season of the Wish has been engulfed with a varying number of problems. However, one issue that has become excessively prevalent recently is the ammo economy, and players are not happy about it. Destiny 2 Season of the Wish introduced several changes that nerfed the whole idea of spamming abilities. This means using something like Titan Hammer to do boss DPS is no longer a viable option. However, using abilities to deal damage was something that kept the ammo problem in check. The only time players ran into ammo issues in the game was during day one raids where the bosses are significantly more tanky. The nerfs to ability usage have exposed the ammo issues as now players have to rely more on using weapons instead of abilities. The brand-new Warlord’s Ruin dungeon sort of made the problem even more prominent as players constantly ran out of ammo and the drop rate of heavy bricks is very low. As it happens, players are unhappy about it. Destiny 2 players are frustrated with the state of ammo economy in Season of the Wish The discussion regarding ammo problems was started by a Reddit user Atomicapples. The player claimed, “If this is a game about shooting our guns then you should really let us shoot our guns Bungie.” They further continued, “Every activity, every dungeon encounter, every high end piece of content in the game being reduced to a primary ammo fest.” Lastly, they concluded with the statement, “Oh yeah and literally this season they removed landing in activities with full Kinetic special ammo, something we’ve had for 3 years since Beyond Light launched in November 2020. ” As it happens, other players also joined into the conversation as most of them share the same sentiment. One such player commented, “I was on final boss of the new dungeon last night and no-one was getting bricks so I had to sacrifice my entire build and switch just so we actually do damage.” Another player chimed in, “Friend and I spent, no joke over 10 minutes trying to get heavy ammo for the last stand part of the finalboss of the dungeon last night.” One Reddit user also mentioned, “If they want gun dominance and abilities to just be “extra” I need ammo.” Lastly, a user claimed, “Barely got heavy drops when we were both running finder/scout and we were both running exotic primary.” Therefore, it is safe to say that the ability nerfs is making content clear more frustrating than challenging. It is because the only reason players cannot go through tough content is because they have no ammo. It is unclear how Bungie will solve this, but for the time being, the problem seems to be causing major discourse in the community.

Destiny 2 players left furious after learning ‘truth’ behind Armor Synthesis system – Dexerto
Destiny 2 players left furious after learning ‘truth’ behind Armor Synthesis system BungieAfter years of waiting, a transmog system finally landed in Destiny 2 with Season of the Splicer. Just 24 hours into the new stretch of Destiny history and players have already uncovered the real grind hidden away for Armor Synthesis. Guardians had been pleading with Bungie for years to add a transmog system into Destiny. Almost seven years on and such a system has finally made its way into the ever-evolving shooter though not quite as everyone had hoped. Upon the announcement of Armor Synthesis, Bungie copped a huge wave of backlash. Players were already agitated by the fact that changing appearance came with limitations. Rather than just swapping out styles, an entire process was set up with new materials and new bounties. With these features came strict caps for each player: Just 10 pieces of armor can be altered per character in any given season. While the initial stats around this revelation were shocking in their own right, one day into the new update and players have already discovered that it’s actually worse in practice. Here’s the stat breakdown on how long it will take Guardians to “”100%”” the new #Destiny2 transmog system if they want everything: 💠 4,239 pieces of armor 💠 4,071 legendaries 💠 33.925 years 💠 $6-12k for Silver(via @Parisito1234) pic.twitter.com/jUN0tHRoq2 — Destiny 2 News (@DeltaINTEL) April 23, 2021 To start the transmog process, Guardians must first acquire a batch of Synthstrand. With 150 of this new material in hand, bounties can then be purchased to continue the next steps. With Synthstrand dropping from any foe in any activity, it didn’t sound all too tedious at first. Another material simply racking up in the background while you go about more pressing business. However, a post on the popular Raid Secrets subreddit soon uncovered the reality behind these drops. It turns out that individual pieces of Synthstrand are locked behind a time-gate. This means you can’t just waltz out of the Tower, kill 150 enemies, pick up a bounty, and be on your way. Synthstrand only drops once every two minutes as Reddit user ‘alonie-homie’ discovered. Based on some quick math from another player, this means you could be grinding for an absurd 53 hours and 20 minutes before maxing out transmogs for a season on just one character. If you’re looking to replicate that across all three classes, that’s six days and 16 hours of in-game time, assuming you complete bounties at an optimal pace. Read More: Destiny 2 new Override mode explained – To make matters worse, this entire grind can be bypassed through the Eververse. For players not too eager on the above, the final transmog material can simply be purchased through the in-game store. Naturally, when this discovery came to light, a vast majority of Guardians were fuming. “Reading the numbers here makes me want to quit playing,” one player said. “Let’s be honest here: this is F2P mobile timer dogsh** in a full-priced AAA game,” another added. “Who in the fu** over at Bungie thinks this is acceptable? We paid for the game. Now a core feature is hidden behind a timer you can only skip by paying more money.” Given the ongoing controversy surrounding the new system, perhaps it’s only a matter of time until Bungie reels it back somewhat. Lowering bounty requirements would be a decent first step, and maybe even doing away with seasonal caps could help lessen the blow as well. For the time being, the devs are yet to respond to the outrage. Season of the Splicer just kicked off and Armor Synthesis is one of many new additions in Destiny 2. Be sure to brush up on our complete rundown of the new season.

Destiny 2 players furious about “scummy” Season Pass price hike – Dexerto
Destiny 2 players furious about “scummy” Season Pass price hike BungieDestiny 2 fans are furious with Bungie after the Season Pass price hike will see some players have to pay 50% more for future passes. Season 21 is right around the corner promising to both introduce a wide range of new content and rework existing content to keep it relevant. Starting with the Season of the Deep, Bungie is increasing the price of Destiny 2’s season passes from 1,000 Silver to 1,200 Silver. This price hike should see players paying 20% more for future passes but Destiny 2’s monetization model could see it become much more expensive than that. Destiny 2 fans upset as next Season Pass could cost 50% more A Reddit post that quickly got thousands of upvotes labeled Bungie’s Season Pass price hike as “scummy,” after realizing it could potentially cost players 50% more to buy each one. Destiny 2 doesn’t offer the option to buy the Season Pass directly. Instead, players are required to purchase the shooter’s premium currency, Silver. Silver is only sold in bundles of 500, 1,000, 2000, 3,000, and 5,000. This means to purchase a Season Pass for 1,200 SIlver the cheapest option is to buy the 500 and 1,000 Silver bundles separately for a combined $15 USD. Irritated by the pricing the post reads: “A really scummy option to squeeze more money out of the player. This also comes after a lackluster season of content. Very disappointing. Also surprised more creators aren’t being vocal about this.” Another user theorized why this model exists: “Bungie probably wants us buying the higher value bundles so we have silver left over but not enough to buy any cosmetics in the store so we are tempted to top up our Silver by buying even more. A gross and predatory business tactic.” Another response made comparisons to similar practices seen in mobile gaming: “They’re learning from the mobile game market. Sell Gem packs of 450 and 950, but make the best items 500 Gems and 1000 Gems. It’s beyond scummy.” The price hike won’t impact all Destiny 2 players. Those who purchased Lightfall + Annual Pass will get access to all of the expansion’s four Season Passes at no additional cost.

Destiny 2 players frustrated with bugs & crashes in new patch – Dexerto
Destiny 2 players frustrated with bugs & crashes in new patch BungieDestiny 2’s newest patch 7.0.5.0 has brought with it several bugs, crashes, and downtime that has the player base upset at the state of their game. As a game as a service, Destiny 2 is constantly being updated with patches that bring new features, stories, and other content into the game. Alongside this new content, Bungie uses these patches to fix any bugs or issues that snuck their way into the game, ensuring a healthy experience for their community. Unfortunately, the recent 7.0.5.0 patch for Destiny 2 has done the complete opposite, introducing several bugs and errors, causing a decent amount of uproar from the community. Destiny 2 players took to Reddit to cite the several issues they’ve encountered and vent their frustration about their experience on the current patch. Reddit users were able to compile a list of everything broken in the current patch, listing off issues like extreme audio problems, multiple glitches with modifications, and an incompletable story mission. The player base of Bungie’s looter shooter is not happy, with many fed up with the frequent and sustained issues the game has been facing. “You are seeing the real time results of a game built to only ever grow so large over two or three years being stretched into its sixth.” a user pointed out. One user went so far as to claim the game is being run by a B team instead. However, not everyone shared the angered sentiment, with individuals defending Bungie. Noting how difficult squashing bugs is in a game like Destiny. “99 lines of bugs in the code, 99 lines of bugs. Take one down, patch it all out: 256 lines of bugs in the code.” a user chanted. Other Redditors tried to look on a more positive side, sharing an anecdote about grabbing plenty of exotics whilst raiding on the new patch. “On a more positive note, everyone on my team got random exotics given to us during a Nezzy run last night. Not from the chest, just standing at the raid banner.” Destiny 2 hastily reveals missing patch notes from update amid player frustration During this time, Bungie released a hotfix into the game in an attempt to soothe player frustration. The Destiny developer admitted that they had “missed out” on some earlier patch notes, and posted them on their Twitter. Due to their hastiness to put out the notes, players noticed that Bungie had made multiple errors in their tweets. These included incorrectly numbering dot points, with the points going 9, 10, 11, and then 10 again. Alongside this, players pointed out that Bungie had incorrectly referenced some of the mods and weapons, with Harsh Language being called a shotgun instead of a grenade launcher.

Destiny 2 players frustrated by Ritual Pathfinder’s “baffling” shortcomings – Dexerto
Destiny 2 players frustrated by Ritual Pathfinder’s “baffling” shortcomings BungieThe arrival of The Final Shape brought with it a ton of new systems for Destiny 2 players to learn and use. One of the most important is the Pathfinder tree, but fans aren’t happy with its current implementation, with many calling on Bungie for major changes. At the time of writing, there are two distinct Pathfinder trees in Destiny 2. The first tasks players with completing activities in the new Pale Heart location, with rewards at the end. Most are happy with this as a new method of direction for pursuing specific goals. The other is Ritual Pathfinder, which has been designed to act as a direct replacement for Crucible, Vanguard and Gambit bounties. It’s this which is causing significant consternation among players, with many taking to social media to express their disappointment. In a post on Reddit, one player claimed the Ritual Pathfinder tree is “fighting itself,” thanks to many perceived internal contradictions. The chief complaints are twofold. The first is that it is a single tree that requires players to jump between activity types. This is in direct contradiction to the streak system where Destiny rewards Guardians for farming one of Strikes, Crucible and Gambit. The other major gripe is that it doesn’t solve many of the issues with bounties, other than having to return to the Tower regularly. Many were quick to agree with the original post, with one saying, “I just think it’s baffling with how stark the contrast is between Ritual Pathfinder and Pale Heart Pathfinder. “Pale Heart Pathfinder is awesome. The rewards are worth the grind and I get most of the nodes done by simply running Overthrow, which is a great activity to run.” Another added, “I was mostly fine with it until I hit the final node on the ritual PF with an objective of ‘kill 150 taken enemies in playlist strikes’, since it’s a random chance you’ll get one, and no way that you can kill that many in one go.” There are several options on the table for Destiny 2’s Pathfinder system moving forward. Bungie could split the activity types into separate trees, eliminating many of the issues that players are encountering. With three episodes set to play out over the next year, there will be further iterations before long.

Destiny 2 players frustrated as game has yet more server downtime during weekend – Dexerto
Destiny 2 players frustrated as game has yet more server downtime during weekend BungieDestiny 2 was plagued by further server issues over the weekend, with the game going offline for hours. Destiny 2 has been having a rough go of it recently. Bungie and the players have had a contentious relationship of late, with issues from the seasonal content model, the state of PvP, and the game’s stability being at the forefront of the conversation. This also comes after a disappointing expansion in the form of Lightfall, meaning the player base, while as large as ever, feels disgruntled. This is not helped by consistent server issues that have plagued the game throughout Season of the Deep. That issue reared its head again this weekend, as the game was brought down for maintenance again. This was due to a rise in Weasel and Chicken errors that Bungie was investigating. In a Tweet, Bungie Help stated: As of the time of writing, a tweet confirming the game was back up has not been made. However, from our testing, we were able to login 11 hours after this was tweeted (though were met with Contacting Destiny warnings too.) Server downtime continues to plague Destiny 2 players Understandably, the community is not pleased with Destiny 2 struggles for connectivity. One user on Reddit said: “This is getting a little frustrating. I’ve been planning this weekend and last to have 2-3h available to solo flawless the new dungeon. Last weekend the errors caused issues that booted me during the dungeon to” Another slammed the downtime, saying: “No need to call it emergency it’s pretty routine”. “So I guess I shouldn’t start a trials game?”, said another, who was trying to play Trials as the competitive mode was granting bonus progress this weekend. Bungie has acknowledged these issues in a recent thread, explaining the maintenance and server issues. The developer said that players could expect the situation to “steadily improve” over the next few weeks. It seems there’s still some distance to go to return to regular stability. Here’s hoping it all comes together soon.

Destiny 2 players frustrated as Bungie struggles to fix Lightfall pre-order exotic – Dexerto
Destiny 2 players frustrated as Bungie struggles to fix Lightfall pre-order exotic BungieDestiny 2 players have taken to social media to vent their frustrations at the lack of communication when it comes to fixing the Lightfall pre-order exotic Quicksilver Storm. Lightfall is well underway in Destiny 2, with the campaign, location, subclass, and raid being fully released to all players who purchased the expansion. However, not all has been going well for those who purchased Lightfall, especially those who pre-ordered the latest expansion. Bungie created a new exotic that was given out to players who pre-ordered the new content drop, the Kinetic Auto Rifle Quicksilver Storm. Quicksilver Storm seemed incredibly versatile and ridiculously strong on paper, allowing it to fire out micro-rockets and grenades alongside its usual projectile. The weapon has been available seen the Lightfall pre-orders came out and has therefore been in the game for quite some time now. Unfortunately, however, the weapon has been bugged for a while. Quicksilver Storm is currently lacking a pretty huge damage increase, making it much harder to use than originally intended. Exotic primary weapons gain a damage bonus to all red bar enemies to increase their capabilities as a primary weapon, but this new addition doesn’t quite join in on that fun. This bug has gone unsolved over the past month since Lightfall’s launch, causing frustration from the Destiny 2 community. Players have expressed their annoyance with the weapon, as it’s yet to be fixed after it was made a known issue post-Lightfall release. Quicksilver Storm is a fan favorite of many players, which has only been made worse due to the severity of the missing damage bonus. Alongside this, the adjustments to difficulty scaling in Lightfall have only exaggerated this effect, as enemies are far stronger than in previous expansions. “Bungie has to, at the very least, say something,” one player chimed in on Reddit. “The gun was the highlight expansion exotic to pair with the new subclass and it’s been broken the entire time.” “Many here, me included, literally paid for a weaker, bugged gun,” another Guardian added. Bunge has since made a comment on the Reddit post about the reasoning behind the slow progress with the bug fix. According to Bungie, this fix is far more complicated than previously thought, leading to a longer than expected time to fix. Devs are yet to announce a specific release date for this fix, so Quicksilver Storm users may just have to wait this one out. We’ll be sure to update you here as any further details emerge as the Lightfall era in Destiny 2 rolls on.

Destiny 2 players foresee major issue with upcoming economy rework – Dexerto
Destiny 2 players foresee major issue with upcoming economy rework BungieSeason 23 will see big reworks to the economy introduced but Destiny 2 players are concerned that the upcoming changes will make farming ritual weapons harder to get than ever before. With Destiny 2’s economy set to receive some big changes, concerns about how balanced and grindy it will be are beginning to surface. Alongside the removal of Legendary Shards, Bungie is also changing how much it will cost to focus weapons and armor at vendors. The confirmed changes to ritual gear focusing are as follows: Although Bungie has confirmed more engram sources will be introduced there are still concerns that these changes will make farming good rolls much more time-consuming. Destiny 2 ritual focusing economy changes has players worried While investigating the economy behind ritual engrams, one Guardian hypothesized that the economy changes impacting focusing next season could see players face a brutal grind. “I reset the vanguard rank once, and on the way to getting between 0-10000 reputation points I got 37 vanguard engrams,” the post opened before continuing “37 engrams, 17 of which are rewards for leveling up the rank and 20 for random completion drops, which I could focus on 37 weapons, in the next season I would need 5 engrams to focus on a specific weapon…” This drastic change in the game’s economy will mean players will only be able to receive a fraction of the weapons they currently can when focusing ritual weapons. Many joined in showing their discontent with the planned changes: “Yeah they’re really robbing Peter to pay Paul here. Vaulting Shards to reduce cost, aka investment, on new players while increasing engram cost, aka investment, is just a big backfire…” “They’re robbing everyone and dressing it up in PR speak to try to obfuscate it. This has never been about helping new players, it’s about nerfing the typical player,” another Guardian declared. The changes even have some players planning to stockpile engrams: “What I’ll do is just horde all my engrams during next season until Bungie takes a few steps back with that 5 engram focus requirement. I’m sure we’ll be seeing quite a lot of negative feedback regarding the cost from both casuals and vets.” When announcing these changes Bungie stated that its goal is to make focusing more accessible to new and returning players. However, without substantial modifications to engram drop rates ritual focusing is set to become more demanding than ever.

Destiny 2 players find leaked subclass ahead of Season 18 & Lightfall reveal – Dexerto
Destiny 2 players find leaked subclass ahead of Season 18 & Lightfall reveal BungiePlayers think they’ve found evidence of Destiny 2’s new subclass, potentially arriving with Lightfall, thanks to a clip uploaded to Artstation. An eagle-eyed Destiny 2 fan has spotted an Artstation video, reportedly uploaded by a Bungie employee, that showcases a sixth damage type, and a potential new subclass, for the long-running loot shooter. Following Kinetic, Solar, Void, Arc, and Stasis, the leak seemingly shows a green damage type — although no abilities for the subclass are shown. Since there has been no confirmation from Bungie, it’s possible the assets in question could be falsified, but it’s certainly got the community talking. Is this Destiny 2’s next subclass and damage type? You can check out a short clip, shared via @DestinyTwoLeaks on Twitter, below: The now-deleted post shows a HUD with what appear to be placeholder icons set on a green background that has players expecting the next subclass to be the long-awaited “poison” or “Vapor” element as seen on Thorn and Osteo Striga. The last new element added was Stasis in Beyond Light, which proved to be divisive as many players considered it to be overpowered. In 2022, Bungie has reworked Void and Solar elements in Season of the Risen and Season of the Haunted, respectively, with Arc’s own 3.0 revision coming in Season 18. Season 18, and the next expansion Lightfall, will be revealed at a Bungie event on August 23, so we may hear more about the new damage type, if it is in fact real, on that date.

Destiny 2 players find “broken” Deep Engram farm that drops one every minute – Dexerto
Destiny 2 players find “broken” Deep Engram farm that drops one every minute BungieThe Destiny 2 community has discovered a Deep Engram farm that drops one per minute, greatly speeding up the process of obtaining seasonal drops and Raid uniques. On May 23, Destiny 2’s new season was released with the Season of the Deep introducing various new content. From fishing to being able to create Red Border weapons, there’s plenty for players to do. Also, Season 21 added a new seasonal drop in the form of Deep Engrams. Replacing Defiant Engrams, these can be used to roll for a variety of armor and craftable weapons added in the Season of the Deep. With craftable weapons always in demand, it’s only natural that Destiny 2 players want to figure out how to farm Deep Engrams efficiently. Broken Destiny 2 Deep Engram farm drops one per minute Destiny 2 players have been taking advantage of a newly discovered Deep Engram farm, with content creator Eternal bringing attention to it. Eternal’s new YouTube video details the farm showing how to do it. The Destiny 2 expert describes the farm as “broken,” and being able to produce “one or two Engrams per run.” Players interested in replicating the farm can do so by entering The Last Wish raid with a suitable fireteam. It’s the featured raid until May 30 so it can be farmed over and over. Once in the raid, you’ll need to do the following: Get to the first boss, Kalli, the Corrupted. – All players but one should immediately head to the circle at the back right of the room. – The remaining player needs to trigger the encounter by running next to Kalli. – Once Kalli’s shield drops, the player that triggered the encounter hits the boss with two Anarchy shots. – After the Anarchy shots have landed run to the rest of the team and shoot an additional Anarchy shot near them on the floor. – If all goes to plan, Kalli will teleport to where the Anarchy shot lands and get stuck. From here unload as much damage as you can to kill the boss. – As soon as Kalli dies and you receive loot, reload the Last Wish raid through the map and repeat. – Each encounter will reward players with one item from Kalli’s loot pool and a high chance of receiving one or two Deep Engrams. With a full team of six, it’s possible to get between 30-60 Engrams an hour depending on how lucky you get.

Destiny 2 players find “bizarre” out-of-bounds secret in Starcrossed Exotic mission – Dexerto
Destiny 2 players find “bizarre” out-of-bounds secret in Starcrossed Exotic mission BungieIntrepid Destiny 2 players have stumbled across a tantalizing secret in one of the many out-of-bounds areas, possibly offering a glimpse into the game’s future. The Destiny franchise is now in its tenth year, and over that time, it has built a significant world for the game to operate in. Many are in it for the gunplay, PvE activities or mayhem against other Guardians, but an equally substantial number are there for the story it tells. Though the Destiny 2 narrative has been through some mixed fortunes in recent years, there are still plenty of unanswered questions to which the game’s dedicated audience wants conclusions. A lot of those answers will arrive with The Final Shape in June, but that hasn’t stopped players from trying to find them in the meantime. Now, Destiny players have discovered a secret in the Starcrossed Exotic mission that could hold clues about what’s to come. Destiny players discover Ishtar Collective Vex symbol During the Starcrossed Exotic mission, a post on Reddit shared how players have been able to access a chamber that contains what looks like the symbol of the Ishtar Collective made up of Vex components. The discovery caused a lot of speculation among the game’s community, primarily because it’s an asset they haven’t seen before and appears very deliberate. For those who aren’t aware, the Ishtar Collective was a Golden Age organization intent on scientific advancement, serving as direct rivals to Clovis Bray. They’re most noteworthy for their studies on the Vex, including mapping the Vault of Glass. Theories on what the symbol is for are wide-ranging, with some pointing to a lore book in which the Collective sent copies of people’s minds into the Vex network. Adding to that, one said: “The last I heard, they’d all gotten together and were rushing a vex gate to get out.” Others pointed to perceived clues elsewhere in the game, with one saying: “Pretty sure that might have something to do with tomorrow’s reset. Once you beat the final boss of the mission and go into the rewards room. At the very top, there is a vex gate that’s not turned on yet. Each week, the blocks have been forming a bridge.” Whatever the case may be, Bungie does have a long history of laying out clues for the player base to uncover. Whether this is one of those, and how significant it may be, remains to be seen.

Destiny 2 players feel Void Titan’s PvP dominance is ruining the subclass in PvE – Dexerto
Destiny 2 players feel Void Titan’s PvP dominance is ruining the subclass in PvE BungieDestiny 2 players have recently complained that Void Titans have become excessively strong in PvP. While Bungie has tried to balance it, the lack of a separate sandbox has led to the subclass deteriorating in PvE as well. The clash between PvP and PvE has existed in Destiny 2 ever since the beginning of the game. However, Bungie has failed to create a separate sandbox for both. Therefore, a single nerf or buff to any weapon or gear piece in one mode, directly affects them in the other. Recently, Void Titan’s Bubble Super is the one that has been affected by the problem mentioned above the most. Titan Bubble has become a cornerstone for PvP mainly due to the introduction of zones in Trials of Osiris. Bungie has tried to balance it by directly nerfing the super and associated Titan abilities. However, these nerfs have made the Super much less viable in PvE, which has led to fans feeling annoyed. Destiny 2 players feel PvP and PvE sandbox should be separate The discussion regarding the balancing issue in PvE and PvP for Void Titans was started by a player named Trex331. The player claimed, “Bubble is meta because of zone based pvp, so unless pvp isn’t zone based, pve void titan will get nerfed more.” This led to vivid discussion as others players supported the idea. One such player commented, “I’m hoping they’ll give some buffs to Void Overshield specifically since Woven Mail can be kept so much more easily.” Another player commented, “how about they have SEPARATE balancing for PVE and PVP?” One player also remarked, “Trials shouldn’t be anything other than elimination.” Lastly, a player replied, “We should take the pvp sandbox and push it somewhere else.” A player also claimed, “Yes, as Titan I have used the bubble, but I don’t even see any advantage to using it. “ Therefore, it is safe to say that players are quite unhappy. This issue is not just related to Void Titans as it is part of the problem. Nerfing Void Titans do make it terrible in PvE. However, it continues to remain good in PvP. Players are also unhappy with the zone system in Trials of Osiris where Void Titans and Solar Warlocks are the meta. Unfortunately, Bungie has not made any claims on how they intend to deal with these complaints as of yet.

Destiny 2 players fed up with Bungie’s “boring” weapon designs – Dexerto
Destiny 2 players fed up with Bungie’s “boring” weapon designs BungieDestiny 2 players have voiced that they are growing tired of the MMO’s weapon designs, believing that weapons within the same archetype all look the same. Destiny 2 is a Sci-fi MMO released in 2019 and developed by Bungie, a studio best known for working on the older Halo games. Much like Halo, Destiny 2 features a variety of unique locations, characters, and weapons fitting of its Sci-fi setting. Some of its guns are even directly inspired by Halo like those seen in the 30th Anniversary DLC. Even so, the community has become fed up with the state of weapon designs, criticizing the lack of variety. Destiny 2 players think its weapon designs are boring Starting the conversation on Reddit, a Destiny 2 fan called out the state of Legendary weapon designs labeling them as “very boring,” and saying they all “look the same.” The post reads: “I was scrolling through my vault the other day and realized how much weapons archetypes look the same. SMGs all have one style of look, compact, foregrip in the front, short stock. Shotguns and ARs all feel very similar visually. Every single sniper in the game is magazine loaded.” Comparing Destiny 2’s weapon designs to real life, the post continues: “In real life, there’s so much variety in weapon design. Things like the Sten, a side loaded magazine SMG, M24 bolt action snipers, the PPSH with its drum mag, the M1941 a side magazine loaded AR.” The thread goes on to acknowledge that this problem is less noticeable with the Exotic weapons. There are numerous unique Exotic weapons like the Sweet Business, Tommy’s Matchbook, and the Tractor Cannon. Agreeing with the post one user responded: “If humans on Earth could come up with so many different looking designs for weapons, why can’t fantasy sci-fi foundries come up with more than 2 or 3 templates for each weapon type.” Another player replied: “I’ve been complaining about this for years. With the exception of some exotics, every gun in this game is bland and repetitive.” One answer offered a different perspective: “Bungie is never going to make bespoke animations for every single legendary. Even exotics only get unique reloads some of the time. Needing to reuse animations means weapons in a weapon type are going to share basically the same layout.” With a new dungeon arriving alongside Season 21, Destiny 2 will soon introduce some new weapons. One confirmed gun on its way is an unnamed Legendary Hand Cannon that will be a reward for completing an upcoming quest.

Destiny 2 players enraged by Haunted Sector leechers “not doing sh*t” – Dexerto
Destiny 2 players enraged by Haunted Sector leechers “not doing sh*t” BungieDestiny 2 players have become frustrated by the numerous Guardians joining their Haunted Sectors and leeching the rewards, refusing to take part in the process. For the most part, Festival of the Lost 2023 has been a success. This year’s Halloween-themed event has given players the opportunity to earn a gorgeous all-black Memento, farm some top-tier weapons, and purchase a series of fun cosmetics. At the center of the event are Haunted Sectors. These reimagined Lost Sectors require players to takeout a series of Headless Ones to receive Manifested Pages used to fill the Book of the Forgotten. However, some Guardians aren’t embracing the spirit of the event leaving others to do the work for them. Destiny 2 Haunted Sectors are being leeched by AFK Guardians Upset by the state of leeching in Haunted Sectors, one Destiny 2 player posted on Reddit: “If you’re going to join in on seasonal content to farm, at least kill some ads or do SOMETHING.” Setting the stage the post opens: “Seriously. This has happened to me three times in just the hour I’ve been playing tonight. Example from last time: queue up for a regular haunted sector, commence matchmaking. I get tossed in with a blueberry rank 2 and a random rank 11.” “Blueberry and I start lootin’ and shootin’ pumpkin heads. Having a good time. They’re squishy and clearly don’t know what they’re doing but hey, it’s the effort that matters, and they were trying at least. Our rank 11? Not so much. They’re still at spawn,” OP continued salmming the high ranked player. After revealing the Rank 11 player stayed AFK for the whole event, the post concludes: “I don’t care if you’re just trying to finish up a few things- at least kill the f**king ads for f**k’s sake or do SOMETHING besides standing there and ruining the experience for everyone.” Similarly frustrated one player replied: “I had one dude yesterday, rank 11 also… Afk the entire run but when the chest opened and we got out loot he ran right over and collected it. Reported him also, can’t stand that sh*t.” Several others encouraged OP to “report them if they’re not doing sh*t,” although the report system doesn’t kick players from activities. Instead reports are sent to Bungie who then check game reports to determine if further action is required. Surprisingly, the drop rate of Eerie Engrams is unaffected by how many Headless Ones are defeated. However, taking down Headless Ones is required to convert Spectral Pages into Manifested Pages and to complete some event challenges.

Destiny 2 players enraged by “absolutely atrocious” monetization – Dexerto
Destiny 2 players enraged by “absolutely atrocious” monetization BungieThe Destiny 2 community has had enough of Bungie’s practices and is now calling out the game publisher over its increasingly aggressive monetization model. Monetization in Destiny 2 has always been a contentious subject. However, it’s become a bigger discussion than ever following popular content creator Aztecross’ detailed breakdown. The video which spans over half an hour highlights a range of issues with Destiny 2’s monetization, providing context as to when and what became paywalled over time. This includes the arrival of Dungeon Keys, Event Cards requiring additional fees to unlock all rewards, and the manipulative pricing of Silver. Following the video the Destiny 2 community has been in an uproar about the state of the looter shooter’s monetization believing that Bungie has gone too far. Destiny 2 monetization has upset its community Destiny 2 players are deeply upset with the state of monetization believing that it has become “absolutely atrocious,” and “exceptionally greedy.” A stance supported by BlueWestlo, with the streamer saying: “Increasing season pass pricing when dungeon keys still exist felt like a tipping point. Season pass skipping being available day one of the season is blatant. I’ll always love Destiny but people need to stop pretending it isn’t exceptionally greedy.” He continued: “I know the reality is that nothing will change. But it’s incredibly frustrating when many players still manufacture the idea that this game has fair monetization. For new players especially this game’s pricing is absolutely atrocious.” It’s not just streamers who are bothered by the monetization with regular players also speaking out: “Truth on all fronts. I’m tired of Destiny. I’m tired of Bungie being ‘for the gamers’ and publicly virtue signaling nonstop while they nickel and dime their playerbase with less content and steadily increased prices.” On Reddit, the community has been equally irritated: “One of the scummiest things Bungie has done was the implementation of the $20 story skip. The community had been asking for a way to skip the story for years on alternative characters and Bungie gave us a nice big middle finger and put it behind an egregious paywall.” A different player responded: “I usually buy the annual pass but the silver amount not equaling a season’s cost definitely bothers me. Extremely scummy tactics.” Part of the problem is that some players believe Bungie has neglected core modes like Crucible and Gambit while putting effort into cosmetics locked behind paywalls. Although Bungie did recently fix a long-standing bug in Gambit, albeit most likely by accident.

Destiny 2 players elated to finally see major quality-of-life update – Dexerto
Destiny 2 players elated to finally see major quality-of-life update BungieDestiny 2 players are elated with the newest quality-of-life feature that prevents them from accidentally deleting their most important characters. Destiny 2 is one of Bungie’s biggest games ever. The blend of both looter shooter and MMO elements have made it a game completely unique to its own, enticing fans of both genres alike. Players can spend hours upon hours within the title with its bounty of activities on offer. Whether that be hanging with friends and Guardians, fighting one another in The Crucible, or even taking on the biggest baddies in the many raids. As such, players will spend a bunch of time working on their Guardian, one that they’ll eventually grow rather attached to as they journey through the galaxy with them. Players will also slowly gain powerful exotic weapons and buildcraft with their gear, making their Guardian more powerful over the course of hundreds or even thousands of hours. Of course with all the time spent on creating your Guardian, building up their gear, and crafting various builds with them, it’d be devastating to have them randomly disappear or accidentally be deleted. Unfortunately, Destiny 2’s character deletion has been rather finicky and in the past, has led to some heartbreaking accidents. However, Bungie has announced a major change looking to rectify this. The Destiny 2 developers announced that they’ve added more complexity to the character deletion process on July 19, further preventing gamers from accidentally deleting their Guardian. “We’ve recently added a bit more complexity to prevent accidental character deletions. You don’t need to delete your Hunter to test it — this feature is now live.” the tweet reads. Destiny 2 players are absolutely elated to see this quality of life change, praising Bungie with compliments all across social media. “Hell yeah! Huge W. Great change. Excellent feature,” were just some of the many comments thanking Bungie for the new tweak. Some even joyously humored about deleting Hunters. “You don’t need to delete your Hunter but you probably should anyway,” one commenter prodded. With the quality of life feature implemented, there’s no telling what Bungie might do next, but the Destiny 2 community is sure glad to see improvements to their beloved game.

Destiny 2 players dub Titans winners of The Final Shape “Exotic lottery” – Dexerto
Destiny 2 players dub Titans winners of The Final Shape “Exotic lottery” BungieThe climax of Destiny 2’s Light vs. Dark saga is within spitting distance. The Final Shape arrives in June and Bungie is maintaining maximum hype ahead of launch with ample pre-release teasers. Chief among them is the full-fat reveal of each armor Exotic for Hunters, Titans, and Warlocks, including what they do and, thanks to previews, how they’re likely to perform in the sandbox. If reactions to YouTuber Datto’s playtest of all six Exotic armors are any indication, Titans have come out on top this time, largely due to the powerhouse that is Hazardous Propulsion. Digesting the breakdown on Reddit, one player’s comment sums up the overwhelming sentiment. “It looks like Titans won the new Exotic lottery in this expansion,” it reads, while another adds “Okay, so Titan won 100% on these Exotics. My only issue is how am I to choose between either of these or the Class Item.” Opinion is near-unanimous that Titans will be suffering from success in The Final Shape, but where does that leave the other two classes? The community has Warlocks sitting somewhere in the middle due to Mataidoxia, a Strand-focused Exotic, showing far more potential in action than on paper. Speaker’s Sight, on the other hand, has left some disappointed due to it sharing traits with existing Exotics. “Was so excited by Speaker’s Sight since it looked cool, but I can’t imagine a circumstance where that’s worth it,” mused another, adding, “This is literally Boots of the Assembler only it costs you your grenade.” Reception to both Hunter Exotics, on the other hand, has been muted, at best. Both Gifted Conviction and Balance of Power have failed to light the fires of excitement. The latter, in particular, has been slammed for the perception that it merely provides buffs to Threaded Specter that were taken away by Bungie as a result of earlier nerfs. “Balance of Power just feels like Ctrl+Z on the Threaded Specter nerfs. I think I would rather have Sixth Coyote for double dodge chances,” one Hunter declared. “I’m honestly tired of running the same five Exotics for years. Even on the off chance they release a good one, they always end up nerfing it into the ground,” chimed another. Will these early impressions and pseudo-class tier lists remain unchanged when The Final Shape launches on June 4? The future’s never set in stone, but preliminary assessments aren’t looking good for the students of Cayde-6, that’s for sure.

Destiny 2 players divided over whether Deepsight Harmonizers should drop more often – Dexerto
Destiny 2 players divided over whether Deepsight Harmonizers should drop more often BungieDestiny 2 players have been debating whether Bungie should change Deepsight Harmonizers, with some wanting more than six per season while others feel the Exotic Material is fine as is. First introduced in Season of the Deep, Deepsight Harmonizers were Bungie’s initial answer to old meta craftable weapons no longer being available. Offering up to six a season through the Season Pass, Deepsight Harmonizers can be used on craftable weapons to convert them into red borders. With the addition of the Exotic Mission Rotator in Season of the Witch, Destiny 2 players now have two options for obtaining old seasonal weapons. However, that’s not enough for everyone with some fans wanting more. Destiny 2 players debate if more Deepsight Harmonizers is a good thing Requesting a change to how the Exotic Materials are distributed, one player posted: “Deepsight Harmonizers are really neat, but only getting 6 (3 for free) of them per season feels really bad.” “I’ve been pretty on top of my red border drops since The Witch Queen came out. I have most of the patterns, and almost all of the Seasonal weapons unlocked. Getting only 6 Harmonizers per Season really sucks, especially with the weekly Exotic mission rotator,” they continued. The post concluded by proposing Deepsight Harmonizers are made into a weekly reward with one per week being earnable in-game. Some agreed with the idea: “It’d be nice if they were rewarded for completing hard content, master raids, contest raids, GM nightfalls (chance to), etc,” and “I think 3-6 GUNS worth per season is more like it.” However, not everyone was on board: “They really don’t need to be a weekly drop. These are meant to be to help get patterns you are just super unlucky on, not actually speed up the rate at which you get patterns.” “Deepsight Harmonizers are not supposed to replace the way standard red borders work – they are supposed to be an insurance policy against a no longer available crafted weapon becoming absolutely vital to the meta, or being irreplicable in some way,” a different player stated. The divide in opinion seemed to come from the varying levels of experience. Long-term players were more likely to prefer the current system while newer players wanted more ways to obtain Red Borders for meta weapons.

Destiny 2 players discover “pay to win” movement tech exclusive to Warlocks – Dexerto
Destiny 2 players discover “pay to win” movement tech exclusive to Warlocks BungieA couple of Destiny 2 players have discovered a new movement tech for Warlock mains to take advantage of, but not everyone will be able to use it. Destiny 2 is no stranger to crazy movement techs that can change how the game is played. From ShatterSkating to Boost Dashing to Swap Cancelling, there are plenty of ways to enhance Guardian movement. Even Bungie knows how fun movement can be having added Eagar Edge back in Season 15, a Sword perk that sends the user flying forward. More recently, the arrival of Lightfall saw a grapple added with Strand letting players swing around to their heart’s content. Most movement techs are available to everyone with the right build and a bit of practice, but a newly discovered one is only accessible to a relatively small section of Destiny 2’s player base. Destiny 2 Warlock movement tech only works at high frame rates A Destiny 2 player posted their discovery revealing a new movement tech. The tech allows the player to float for extended periods of time as a Warlock, with them falling so slowly it looks as though they are practically hovering. The tech is interesting enough and may have some uses, but what was most surprising was that it appears to only work at higher frame rates. When playing at a Framerate cap of 240 and 140, they were able to hover in place. However, when attempting to replicate the tech at 30 frames per second it wasn’t possible. They would simply fall to the ground. At 30 FPS, it wasn’t even possible to hover while using Heat Rises, a Solar Warlock-exclusive Aspect that is supposed to let Guardians stay airborne after sacrificing a grenade. At 60 FPS and up this worked as intended. Stunned by the discovery the players proclaimed: “It’s a frames thing, look!” before later labeling the movement tech “quite literally pay to win.” It’s no secret that frame rate is tied to numerous physics-related aspects of Destiny 2. Perhaps the most commonly known impact of frame rate is that higher frame rates are known to increase the damage taken in certain encounters. Leading up the Lightfall’s release there were even concerns that these bugs would handicap Guardians playing at higher frame rates. Although the resulting Root of Nightmares raid is now considered by many as one of the easiest to complete.

Destiny 2 players discover overlooked bonus effects of anti-Champion mods – Dexerto
Destiny 2 players discover overlooked bonus effects of anti-Champion mods BungieWhilst comparing the three anti-Champion mods, Destiny 2 players uncovered some often overlooked aspects of each mod that give them more use than just stunning Champions. Looking to improve enemy diversity, Champions were first added in Shadowkeep primarily appearing in weekly Nightfalls and Lost Sectors. They come in three variants: Barrier, Overload, and Unstoppable. These unique combatants are much stronger than their regular counterparts and must be stunned before taking them down. To stun a Champion a suitable ability, Exotic weapon, or weapon buffed by the seasonal Artifact must be used. However, many fans are now discovering that these anti-Champion mods offer additional effects giving them even more utility than first thought. Destiny 2’s anti-Champion mods have additional uses Looking to figure out exactly how anti-Champion mods function, one Reddit post opened, “If I’m not mistaken, Anti-Barrier is the most useful of the three champ mods in non-champ combat.” The thread then elaborated, “The simple fact that it slices through non-elemental shields is something that’s under appreciated. Unstop might ‘stagger’ an enemy for 1 sec, and even if Overload does something, neither is as useful in the majority of situations.” Not wholly agreeing with OP, one player explained the additional effects of anti-Overload mods, “Overload reduces enemy dmg by 25% and stops there ability like teleport happening often.” Others then revealed that anti-Overload rounds also, “stop some enemies from performing some special attacks,” and “stops ability regen in pvp for a few seconds.” Not forgetting the anti-Unstoppable mod, another Destiny 2 player pointed out, “Unstop rounds will reveal wyvern crit spots [if I remember correctly],” as well as providing “explosive rounds,” without any extra effort required. The consensus amongst Guardians is that while anti-Barrier mods seem the most useful outside of Champion combat, anti-Overload mods are more impactful in the hands of a skilled player. Anti-Unstoppable is the weakest of the three but still has some additional uses.

Destiny 2 players discover Legendary Sidearm that beats most Exotics – Dexerto
Destiny 2 players discover Legendary Sidearm that beats most Exotics BungieThe Final Shape has come to Destiny 2, and the expansion has added a new weapon that players are praising for its power. While The Final Shape looks to bring the current story to its conclusion, it is also bringing with it a ton of new equipment and weapons. This includes The Call, a new Legendary Sidearm that players can pick up. This Strand-based pistol is quickly getting the attention of the Destiny 2 community thanks to its base power and the possible attributes it can come with that elevate it to absurd levels. On the game’s subreddit, The Call is recieving applause, with one user posting, “The Call. Goes Crazy.” They are not the only ones to have fallen in love with the gun either, as one of the responses says, “I love this Sidearm so much I’m gonna be running it with the new Titan Exotic chest piece.” It looks like The Call’s Rocket-Assisted Frame is the backbone of what makes it so good. This frame allows the gun to shoot out self-propelled rocket ammunition which causes massive damage when exploding on impact. Having that kind of power in a pistol is causing many fans to label it as “the full package.” Another user shared how they got one to drop that came with Beacon Rounds and Vorpal. The former allows the bullets to track targets, while Vorpal causes The Call to have greater damage against bosses. According to the player, this roll was so powerful that it carried them through the entire campaign. Other fans are reporting that The Call can even make one of the game’s most irritating enemies, the Subjugators, easier than ever before. The Final Shape has received a lot of praise from Destiny 2 fans, even in light of some big server issues at launch, and The Call looks to be just another example of Bungie striking a chord with its playerbase.

Destiny 2 players discover GM trick that makes Cosmodrome Battleground easy – Dexerto
Destiny 2 players discover GM trick that makes Cosmodrome Battleground easy The new Cosmodrome Battleground GM is one of the hardest ever released, but Destiny 2 players believe they’ve discovered a trick that makes it much easier. On the weekly reset of January 9, Bungie introduced a new Grandmaster Nightfall, PsiOps Battleground: Cosmodrome. The add-heavy activity is difficult and potentially even the hardest GM yet. Its design makes it easy to get overwhelmed by enemy spawns, especially in both the opening and ending areas. Just one small mistake can lead to a wipe and leave any Fireteam in tears. Yet despite its immense difficulty, Guardians have now discovered a strategy that makes the new GM not just doable but surprisingly straightforward. Simple strategy makes Destiny 2’s new GM simple One player outlined the best strategy to safely complete PsiOps Battleground: Cosmodrome, “Just finished the Cosmodrome BG GM. It took 35 minutes of doing literally nothing but three Polaris lances head shotting everything that spawned. We may now have the world title for most ignitions in a nightfall.” Believing others would be skeptical, they continued, “If you are hesitant to try it, don’t be. I am not kidding when I say all that is required is to sit as far back in an area as you can and plink headshots. Invis hunter is clutch in the boss room but other than that you can run whatever you’d like.” It may seem too good to be true but others agreed commenting, “Yup, it’s easy but so boring,” and, “Polaris is really good and makes everything super easy mode…” Another player replied, “Your strategy works in the GM except for the beginning. If you don’t keep the payload moving, they never stop spamming drop ships full of snipers,” raising a potential flaw in the plan before a follow-up explained, “Invis hunter ftw. Others can stay back while the hunter progresses the payload…” Using a meta Void Hunter build is ideal for playing the objective in Cosmodrome Battleground. It’s easy to keep up invisibility during which enemies do not aggro making it easy to push the payload. A genuine downside to OP’s strategy was pointed out though, “Yes, this is all that is required in every GM if you want to spend 35 minutes in each run. A lot of people do not.” Using a safe strategy like this can make a GM last over half an hour. For comparison, a faster run revolving around builds like Strand Titan can be finished in just 15 minutes although this approach is much less forgiving.

Destiny 2 players despise “icky” Festival of the Lost MTX – Dexerto
Destiny 2 players despise “icky” Festival of the Lost MTX BungieThe Destiny 2 community has become deeply upset by the state of the looter shooter’s microtransactions with Festival of the Lost 2023 once again bringing back Event Cards. Beginning in Solstice 2022, Bungie expanded seasonal events by introducing Event Cards. For the cost of 1,000 Silver – roughly $10 USD – players could earn upgraded rewards during the event. These premium rewards range from sparrows to ghost shells and even Legendary Shaders. It’s been an unpopular feature since it was introduced but now the playerbase has had enough. Frustrated by Destiny 2’s increasingly aggressive monetization, Guardians have now spoken out against Bungie pushing them to make a change. Festival of the Lost Event Card slammed by Destiny 2 community An upset Destiny 2 player posted a lengthy critique of Destiny 2’s use of paid Event Cards on Reddit, specifically in regard to its return in Festival of the Lost. The post opens: “Event Pass Is Just Disappointing And One Of The Worst Monetization Options I Have Ever Seen… The Event Pass in Destiny 2 has always been something that has made feel incredibly icky about the game. The game is good but the monetization is just… wrong at so many points.” “10 bucks to spend the tokens you earn from doing challenges. Don’t buy the 10 dollar pass? Tough luck, no spending those tokens. Challenges themselves award you with a few cosmetic rewards but not enough to actually be worthwhile,” OP continued tearing apart this controversial form of MTX. After comparing event cards unfavorably to what competitors like Halo Infinite and Warframe offer, the post concludes: “TLDR: The event pass is scummy and not worthwhile in any way imo and I do hope they hope they change it up but probably never will as they probably make a lot of money out of it.” The post resonated with several Guardians: “Yep – I used to buy event cosmetics occasionally when there was one I really liked (Witch Broom sparrow, Shackled Ghost). Direct purchase, no grind necessary, and not bundled with other shit I don’t want. Paying for the event pass bundle and then having to grind on top of that, ain’t happening.” “Is anyone actually buying these? Ships and sparrows are a dime a dozen and a shader isn’t worth the price of the dark below,” another player responded questioning the value Event Cards offer. Although the overwhelming majority of posts were against Event Cards, some Guardians opted to defend Bungie. These posts focused on the cosmetic-only aspect of the Event Pass and encouraged those critical to simply not buy it.

Destiny 2 players demand Tormentor rework to solve Prismastic frustration – Dexerto
Destiny 2 players demand Tormentor rework to solve Prismastic frustration BungieThe Final Shape expansion has been nothing short of a revelation for Destiny 2, with many praising its contribution in all areas of the game. That said, players do still want to see some changes, and Tormentor’s are attracting a lot of attention. Many of the complaints center on how Tormentors interact with the new Prismatic subclass, which itself is designed to be the ultimate culmination of a Guardian’s Light and Darkness powers. If they are able to hit, Tormentors can Suppress players, even when they enter a Transcendent state. A Reddit user commented on the issue, stating their belief that this undermines the entire concept behind Prismatic. The problem is made much worse by the frequency with which Tormentors use the suppressive slam, particularly after their shoulders have been popped. Others took the opportunity to aim further criticism at the enemy type. One said, “Tormentors, in general, need another look. I know they’re called ‘Tormentors,’ but their constant suppression, absurd mobility, and STUPID AS F**K MASSIVE HEALTH POOL are just annoying. “I still remember in the Lightfall campaign fighting a single Tormentor and having to dump all of my full stock of heavy ammo (Hothead with Explosive Light), all of my special ammo (Witherhoard), all of my abilities, and still having to spend another 5-10 minutes whittling down its health with an auto rifle.” Another shared their belief that this is part of a wider problem for the game, saying, “Suppression, Stasis slow/freeze, suspend, tinnitus, cabal slow missiles, and hive wizard farts are all annoying as hell. I’ve always thought that there should be different forms of resistance to each of them, and with the abundance of different armor forms, now would be a great time for Bungie to implement something like that.” At the time of writing, there are no confirmed plans for a Tormentor rework or changes for any of the other Dread enemies. How long that will last if community sentiment continues is also unclear, though the developer has built up a certain amount of goodwill following The Final Shape‘s launch.

Destiny 2 players demand buffs for mediocre Exotic that’s never been viable – Dexerto
Destiny 2 players demand buffs for mediocre Exotic that’s never been viable BungieThe Destiny 2 community is desperate for Bungie to buff and rework The Queenbreaker with the Exotic Linear Fusion Rifle remaining one of the worst Heavy weapons in the game since its release. Season 4 saw 13 Exotic weapons introduced into Destiny 2 for the first time. Some of these remain incredibly strong options with Wish-Ender, Ace of Spades, and Thunderlord all being top-tier in one way or another. However, several of the Exotics from that season have aged poorly. The likes of Wavesplitter and Lord of Wolves don’t see much use but there is one Season 4 Exotic that makes them look meta by comparison. The Queenbreaker has struggled for a while now with the introduction of Arc 3.0 making it effectively useless. Even before that, it was far from optimal only offering mediocre damage for a Heavy weapon pushing Destiny 2’s community to demand a rework. Destiny 2’s The Queenbreaker Exotic needs a rework Destiny 2 players are calling for The Queenbreaker to receive either significant buffs or get reworked believing that the Exotic LFR is one of the worst in the game offering little reason to use it. A Reddit post raising the suggestion of a rework said: “It’s extremely archaic (Have to go into a menu to swap fire modes) and frankly everyone and their mother can spam Blind with barely a cough thanks to Arc 3.0 so…. There’s really nothing special about it…” “It really just needs a once over, if it got some sort of stacking damage bonus with the precision and maybe widening field of Blind with the fast charge scope, it’d then be in an interesting spot, but currently it’s just a nostalgic relic of the past,” OP stated denouncing the unpopular Exotic. The community was quick to agree with the post and looked to offer their own solutions on how The Queenbreaker could be buffed. “1. Make it special ammo. 2. Make its perks togglable. 3. Crit hits Jolt enemies. 4. Jolt inflicts Blind. Now we have a low damage LFR great for crowd control instead of standard DPS,” suggested one Guardian. Another player explained why Queenbreaker isn’t viable: “Are you really gonna waste a shot of heavy to Blind and tickle a couple of enemies or just obliterate them with some other Heavy Exotic like EoT or Gjallarhorn? If it was Special, then its current chain blind effect would actually be really nice to have and warrant its use…” The main arguments given against The Queenbreaker are that its ability to consistently Blind is no longer unique to the Exotic and its damage is lacking for a Heavy weapon. Making it a Special Ammo LFR that specializes in add clear would not only address these issues but also make it genuinely unique. Linear Fusion Rifles usually excel at single target damage so one that could inflict area of effect Jolt and Blind could be useful.

Destiny 2 players demand major weapon crafting changes – Dexerto
Destiny 2 players demand major weapon crafting changes BungieDestiny 2 players have been complaining that there are still no craftable void Pulse Rifles. However, this realization brought up even more issues with the crafting system that revealing glaring omissions to what players can and can’t create. Bungie released Destiny as a unique game with hardly any competitors, seamlessly blending fast-paced ability FPS gameplay with addictive PvE loot-grinding elements. Bungie capitalized on the RNG-heavy formula for many years, until players started to complain about the ridiculous amount of hours they were forced to play in order to get a desired weapon roll. So, the developers eventually came up with Weapon Crafting in The Witch Queen DLC, allowing players to make their own perfect weapon rolls. However, Destiny 2 players have been complaining about there still being no craftable Legendary Void Pulse Rifles. Destiny 2 players demand craftable Void Pulse Rifles In a complaint posted to Reddit, one Destiny 2 player found it unfathomable that among 139 craftable weapons, there were still no Void Pulse Rifles available: “Out of 139 crafted weapons, how do we not have any void pulse rifles?“ Players agreed with the complaint and were quick to point out that Pulse Rifles weren’t despite this damage type having no craftable options, there were five craftable arc rifles. “I really do NOT understand why they keep making more guns with the same element while not making other elements. 5 fucking arc pulse rifles,” one player said. “Bungie’s allergic to Void it seems. It’s almost as if the weapon design teams actively neglect/refuse to fill the gaps,” another added. However, while noticing the lack of Void Pulse Rifles, other players found an even more prevalent issue. There are thirteen total craftable pulse rifles and less than half that amount of sidearms: “I think the more insane thing is that we have 13 pulse rifles and only 5 sidearms,” one player said. Though weapon crafting has been a huge boon for players hungry to get their hands on certain weapons without having to grind for them, it seems players want enough options to fully customize their loadout with the damage types they want. These complaints comprise just part of a long list of issues players have with the current state of Destiny 2, which massively missed its sales projection and has a declining player base.

Destiny 2 players demand fix for broken melee attacks – Dexerto
Destiny 2 players demand fix for broken melee attacks BungieDestiny 2’s melee attacks are notorious for not registering hits against enemies that are well within range and fans are demanding Bungie fix the problem. The game’s combat system is a carefully weighted and mechanically-deep experience. While Bungie makes regular changes to keep that balance, melee attacks have been a problem in every area of the game. Though there is a small change coming to melees in the Bungie 30th Anniversary update, the details of the fix haven’t convinced players that it would address the issue, and now some fans are calling for the dev team to take a closer look at the situation. Destiny 2 fans demand fix for “ghost” melees Originally pointed out by a meme posted by Stairwell2004, the problem with melee is that your Guardian will initiate the attack animation, including being pulled towards the enemy, and still not do any damage when it completes. Whether you’re completing strikes, playing Crucible matches, or even running the Trials of Osiris, there is no guarantee that your melee will connect with its intended target. This creates a problem with the game’s intended mechanics. When discussing the state of the melees, one user questioned how Bungie has let the problem stay unsolved for so long: “We’ve waited too long for a fix to this. It’s kind of hard to believe that this is still a problem in the game.” Another commenter added that even using class-abilities to close the distance on your enemy might not be enough to ensure a hit: “In my experience as a titan, I’ll do a shoulder charge, hear the hit, use up my powered melee, and still not do any damage to my target.” While the change to Warlock melees in the 30th Anniversary update is a start to leveling the playing field, the fan base is clearly hoping for some improvements in this area ahead of the arrival of The Witch Queen in 2022.

Destiny 2 players demand Chill Clip nerf gets reverted immediately – Dexerto
Destiny 2 players demand Chill Clip nerf gets reverted immediately Season of the Witch brought with it all kinds of changes and most have been well received, but the global nerf to a fan-favorite weapon perk in Chill Clip hasn’t gone down well with the community now demanding Bungie reverts the change. With its introduction in Season 17, Riptide quickly established itself as the strongest Legendary Kinetic weapon in Destiny 2. This was largely thanks to its impressive utility with Chill Clip. When proceed, Chill Clip freezes enemies, triggering additional shatter damage and stunning multiple champion types. It offers a special type of utility that is rarely seen outside of Exotic weapons. However, this popular weapon trait was nerfed in Season 22: Reduced the slow stacks from 60 to 40. – Wolfpack Rounds no longer trigger this perk. – In practice, this means Chill Clip now requires an additional shot to freeze enemies with all weapons. While this doesn’t affect faster-firing weapons like Riptide too much it has destroyed the perk’s value on slower-firing guns like Rocket Launchers, Grenade Launchers, and other Fusion Rifles. Destiny 2 slam Chill Clip nerf for not achieving desired goal Upset by Chill Clip’s current state one Guardian posted on Reddit: “Chill Clip shouldn’t get a global nerf because of Riptide. Its effectiveness should be based on the speed that a weapon can apply it.” “Much like how perks like Vorpal Weapon scale based on the weapon slot, Chill Clip should scale based on the weapon archetype that it’s placed on. Weapons that fire slowly like Aurvandil FR6 should be able to apply Freeze in two shots while weapons like Fire and Forget, Typhon GL5, and Riptide should remain at 3 or 4,” OP proposed wanting to make Chill Clip viable on more weapons. Further criticizing Bungie’s approach to the Chill Clip nerf, one player replied: “Before the nerf – People only used Riptide. After the nerf – People still only use Riptide. The nerf to chill clip balanced the Riptide well but didn’t account for other stasis fusions. This should be looked into. Perhaps the next winter season.” “Yep. All the nerf did was make Riptide the only weapon worth having it on but honestly, it’s just not really desirable at all to me anymore,” responded a different Guardian. Others were especially critical of how Bungie had acted too rashly and not considered how the nerf would impact other weapons: “Yeah, it’s probably one of the worst nerfs in a while in terms of cause and effect; Everyone loved it on Riptide, so they made it unusable on every other gun(???).” Riptide continues to see significant use but other Chill Clip weapons have been dropped by the community. The likes of Aurvandil FR6, Deliverance, and Lingering Dread are seeing less use than ever following the perk’s nerf.

Destiny 2 players demand Bungie stop using Twitter for announcements – Dexerto
Destiny 2 players demand Bungie stop using Twitter for announcements BungieDestiny 2 players have called out Bungie for using Twitter as its main place to post game status notifications and announcements questioning why the publisher doesn’t use its own website instead. As expected of any long-term live service game, Bungie’s looter shooter has had a history of technical issues. From server outages to game-breaking bugs, Destiny isn’t short on unwanted surprises. When these bugs become particularly problematic or Bungie feels the need to address players directly it uses Twitter, or X as it’s now branded. These posts on the Bungie Help X account often contain vital information and while the communication is appreciated not all Destiny 2 players are convinced it’s the best platform for the job. Destiny 2 players don’t rate Bungie’s reliance on Twitter An upset Destiny 2 player has complained about Bungie’s use of Twitter: “Using X for game status notifications is stupid. Use your own site for god sake!” “If you don’t have the X app, the feed shown is unsorted so it is useless. I refuse to download such an app. USE YOUR OWN DAMN SITE,” the highly upvoted Reddit post demanded. One sarcastic reply read: “Imagine if they had their own website and could choose to integrate whether servers are up or down and update us on their status. They could call it like Bungie.net or something, idk if they’ll go for it though.” “To add, maybe have a ‘News’ section in the game and/or at the title screen so people can see comms without having to go to a website,” another player proposed offering a way to potentially improve Bungie’s communication. Not everyone fully agreed with one Guardian explaining why Bungie likely uses X: “Twitter reaches more of their audience than [Bungie.net]. Hell, [Reddit] is a better platform than their site lol. That being said, diversifying and adding MORE (without removing any) places where the info is available is always a good thing.” With Elon Musk’s declaration that X could soon cost money to use, Twitter may become a less desirable location for developers like Bungie to announce news. If so then Bungie.net seems a natural place to move those notifications.

Destiny 2 players demand Bungie copy Fortnite & Warzone for season pass system – Dexerto
Destiny 2 players demand Bungie copy Fortnite & Warzone for season pass system BungieDestiny 2’s seasonal system has brought a lot of new content to the game, but it’s not without flaw and Guardians are now questioning why Destiny’s Season Pass doesn’t operate more like the Fortnite and Warzone versions. The Season Pass model is an integral part of Destiny 2 free-to-play strategy. Each season provides a chance to bring new content, weapons, and cosmetics to the game, keeping things fresh every few months so that players don’t tire out. From the outside, it seems like a hit: the new version of Trials of Osiris that arrived in Season of the Lost broke matchmaking records in the fourth year of the game’s existence. That’s not to say that it’s perfect though, and players are highlighting the problems with the current version of the pass ahead of The Witch Queen’s arrival in February of 2021. These concerns have been mounting since that announcement, but u/ThatGuyFromTheM0vie breaks it down in greater detail. How Destiny 2 could follow Fortnite and Warzone’s lead One of the biggest shortcomings of the Season Pass is that it doesn’t offer Silver — the game’s main currency — in either the free or paid versions of the pass, when so many of the game’s biggest competitors have done that since day one. “Almost every multiplayer game these days has a Battle Pass or something similar. Destiny is no exception. However, compared to other games, Destiny’s Battle Pass is incredibly weak. You get a bunch of random garbage—some materials, some glimmer, a couple of weapon rolls you’ll instantly dismantle, a single skin aka an ornament set, and one exotic ornament at level 100.” This sentiment is echoed by other users in the thread, with the idea of an immediate shake-up being a very popular proposal. One commenter stressed: “The passes aren’t just bad but they’re worse than they once were.” Another user referenced the upcoming changes to Dungeons and how that affects the balance between paid and free content in Destiny 2: “I think the Dungeon was just a last straw for some people. They ran out of patience.” The Destiny 2 devs have spent a lot of time answering questions this season, but it remains to be seen if Bungie will actually address this or not.

Destiny 2 players demand buffs for “terrible” weapon class that’s no longer used – Dexerto
Destiny 2 players demand buffs for “terrible” weapon class that’s no longer used Destiny 2 players are calling for Bungie to buff one of the looter shooter’s weakest weapon types with it having been hit harder by the ammo economy rework than any other class. In Season 22, Bungie reworked Destiny’s ammo economy removing an unintended feature that made Heavy Ammo bricks drop more commonly when using two Special weapons. While this allowed more Primary weapons to enter the PvE meta, it also saw Trace Rifles fall out of favor. The once-popular class of laser beam guns are now hardly used outside of specific builds. These ammo economy changes have had long-lasting effects and now the community is imploring Bungie to buff Trace Rifles. Destiny 2 community calls for Trace Rifle buff Questioning the intended role of the laser guns in Season of the Wish, one Guardian posted on Reddit, “In a world where double special has been killed off, who is going to pick a Trace Rifle?” Elaborating further they continued, “Other than Cenotaph Warlocks. I’m not advocating for Traces to become big boss melters (except maybe Coldheart/Super Agers), but they should at least be a strong option to clear adds. At the moment, they are just Auto Rifles with an ammo limit.” Agreeing with the post, the most upvoted comment opens, “Traces really need a buff, especially now that Rocket Sidearms are a thing,” before continuing, “Traces just don’t hit hard enough to deal with big targets, but have too little ammo to burn on trash mobs.” Believing Trace Rifles are currently too niche, another Guardian replied, “The only tolerable ones are exotics and you have to run double special finders and scav and reserve mods leading to a whole build dedicated to a mediocre weapon.” One of the most scathing responses slammed the laser guns for being “really terrible,” at clearing adds emphasizing how poorly they perform against tankier enemies despite having limited ammo. Bungie has previously stated that Trace Rifles will be receiving their own mini ammo economy rework. However, that isn’t expected until The Final Shape which following its delay won’t be released until June 2024.

Destiny 2 players demand answers about Gambit’s future after five years of no maps – Dexerto
Destiny 2 players demand answers about Gambit’s future after five years of no maps BungieDestiny 2 players are rallying behind Gambit and want to know precisely what Bungie plans to do with the classic mode. Gambit is one of Destiny 2’s most original features. While the idea of a competitive orb-collection game has been around for a long time, the interference mechanic adds a whole new level to the strategy and enjoyment of the game. Bungie previously indicated that new content should be coming for the mode, but it’s been over a year without a follow-up on that promise and many people are fed up and ready for change. Destiny 2 fans plead to Bungie for Gambit update In August of 2021, Game Director Joe Blackburn revealed that getting new Gambit content into the game was a long-term priority for the devs. “Re: Gambit – Didn’t want to derail that thread. Long term, we want to get people working on new maps,” he said. “Currently, we are playtesting all up gambit foundation changes for s16. Focusing on Heavy Ammo econ, primeval fight, invasion cadence/power, and more.” Now players are asking them to make good on that update as they feel things have grown stale in the years since the mode’s release. One player pieced together a breakdown of the situation and other fans rallied around it. “I know game development is hard but I think two years is enough time to make a new map or even reprise one of the old maps. As of right now, it seems like there will be nothing for Gambit during the year of Lightfall, this will cause Gambit to have gone five years without a new map. “The people who are upset are completely justified seeing as we were told something basically two years ago with zero results.” Another player noted that maps used to drop “several times per year” in the original Destiny, while another brought up that multiple maps were pulled from the game for “lighting issues” after the launch of Beyond Light and they still haven’t resurfaced. The original postmaker closed out by noting that all this frustration could be avoided if Bungie would give an update and say whether or not new Gambit maps are even a possibility in the future, or flat-out say that plans have changed and that they’re working on other things. There’s been nothing from Bungie on the matter in quite some time, but the community is clearly at the end of its wits waiting for something new.

Destiny 2 players defend Bungie by firing back at claims Armor “takes 20 minutes to make” – Dexerto
Destiny 2 players defend Bungie by firing back at claims Armor “takes 20 minutes to make” BungieDestiny 2 players have defended Bungie after backlash from certain fans claiming armor in the game only “takes 20 minutes to make”. Destiny 2 is in a bit of an odd position at the moment. Despite the latest state of the game stirring up drama in the community, the game’s player numbers have remained somewhat stable. Though many have become fed up with some of the recent posts made by Bungie, who have been unable to create content at the level players expect. This has meant a reduction in content to modes like The Crucible and Gambit, which had the number of armor sets that dropped as Bungie focused elsewhere. Many have criticized the developers at Bungie for this pivot, claiming new pieces of armor take ‘barely any time’, and therefore should be easily producible for the core game modes. However, others have since defended Bungie against this backlash, detailing in a Reddit post why “20 minutes” to make an armor set is pure fantasy. Destiny 2 player defend developers amidst core playlist armor backlash Certain Destiny 2 players have arisen to debunk the claim that new armor only “takes 20 minutes to make.” Reddit user SnowOrShine summarized why it’s no longer possible for Bungie to craft armor sets at a ridiculously fast pace. “Destiny 1’s initial armor pipeline was designed to create similar-looking but distinct armor pieces very quickly. Many people complained that the armor in D1 launches all looked very similar. it did, this is valid, and this workflow is the culprit. Destiny 1 would not have been able to have so much armor without using this modular system, they just didn’t have the manpower” the post states. Snow pointed out that Destiny 1’s armor solution was to make similar-looking but distinct enough armor pieces that would satisfy the player base. This was done to ensure content would still be released in a timely manner despite Bungie’s smaller team. However, the quality of armor in Destiny 2 has increased, meaning it’s no longer possible for Bungie to do so. “Towards the end of D1’s expansions, and especially now in D2, every armor piece is clearly almost entirely hand-crafted with little to no re-use of shapes.” they explain. For now, it seems the Destiny community remains split on some of the more controversial changes, but many players are nonetheless acknowledging the work devs put into the title.

Destiny 2 players debate worst Exotic weapon with one gun losing out – Dexerto
Destiny 2 players debate worst Exotic weapon with one gun losing out Destiny 2 players have been debating what the worst Exotic weapon is in the looter shooter with several guns getting nominated for the honor. It was a tight contest but one weapon was voted as the definitive loser. Exotic weapons are an extremely important part of build crafting and Destiny’s general identity. The Exotic gun chosen plays a crucial role in how a build will play and what content it will excel in. Unlike Legendary weapons, Exotics have unique characteristics, traits, and catalysts that help differentiate them. It’s these features that establish the likes of Witherhoard, Divinity, and Thunderlord as some of the best Exotic guns in Destiny 2. But not all Exotics are blessed by Bungie and now the community is ready to decide which is the worst of all. D.A.R.C.I voted the worst Exotic weapon in Destiny 2 In a debate on the Destiny subreddit players went back and forth deciding which is the worst exotic in Destiny 2. The original post proposed Manticore, highlighting how its good stats weren’t supported by useful traits: “What is the worst exotic weapon in the game and why is it Manticore? Good stats, sh*t perks. Can something really be worse?” However, the most popular answer was D.A.R.C.I with the most upvoted reply reading: “Manticore is at least still passable, thanks to the stats. Who the hell’s gonna be using DARCI for anything?” Its unique ability is Personal Assistant which lets it view an enemy’s exact health and power level. It’s got some uses for scouting and collecting data but as an actual weapon, it is outgunned by just about everything else in the Heavy category. The nominations for Destiny 2’s worst exotic didn’t stop there. Other popular answers included Queenbreaker, MIDA Multi-Tool, Borealis, Deterministic Chaos, Bastion, and Truth. It is worth noting that while these weapons don’t tend to perform well in PvE, some of them are excellent in PvP. For example, the MIDA Multi-Tool is a 210 RPM Scout Rifle that has high bullet magnetism and a unique trait that improves movement speed. If you want to know more about which weapons are running the Crucible right now check out our dedicated breakdown of the PvP meta.

Destiny 2 players crushed by “unbelievable” Exotic weapon bug – Dexerto
Destiny 2 players crushed by “unbelievable” Exotic weapon bug BungieDestiny 2 players have discovered an unfortunate bug that is stopping them from unlocking a highly-anticipated Exotic version of the Khvostov, a fan-favorite Auto Rifle from the first game. To unlock this new version of the weapon, players have to go through several steps, including collecting 17 Motes of Light, some of which are dropped from defeating bosses in the new Overthrow mode. However, saving a specific boss for last is causing the Motes of Light to disappear. This is causing issues in the Destiny 2 community for those who want to get their hands on this gun. Warnings about the bug can be found across social media, including the game’s subreddit where one player explains they had collected 16 of the Motes of Light before they disappeared. The poster explained that they’ve tried to go back and defeat the bosses again to no avail; the Motes of Light won’t drop anymore for them. They are not the only person to have this happen to them either, as another user replied, “This happened to me as well, seems to be happening to everyone who kills the Meatball last.” Meatball is a reference to the Servitor, which are large, spherical enemies that can be found throughout Destiny 2. One of the bosses players need to defeat is a Servitor, and it could be the root of this issue. While many players seem to think that saving this boss for last is what is causing the bug, some claim their Motes of Light still disappeared even after taking it out early on in the quest. As one user explained, “Didn’t lose all my motes when I did the Meatball as the second boss instead of my last of the day, but the Meatball just does not drop the mote for me.” This would indicate that it’s not the order of bosses, but the Servitor encounter itself that is bugged. However the bug may be triggered, it’s an issue for many Destiny 2 players that’s made worse by the fact that the Khvostov is a fan-favorite Auto Rifle from the original game as well. As of now, Bungie has not commented on the issue or announced a fix.

Destiny 2 players criticize major flaw with story and player experience – Dexerto
Destiny 2 players criticize major flaw with story and player experience BungieThe Destiny 2 community has criticized major flaws with how players experience the game’s continuous and ongoing story. Bungie’s iconic looter shooter Destiny 2 is nearing the end of its almost decade-long story. The conflict between light and dark has transpired over many years, with it coming to a culmination in The Final Shape coming next year. With the exciting conclusion breaching the horizon, players both old and new have hopped onto Destiny to catch up before the ends. To tie players down between major expansions, Bungie releases seasonal content that entices players to continue playing the game, offering new stories, activities, raids, and more to keep them going. These stories are generally considered side content, but can also host monumental events that change how we view the story. And while some players have enjoyed the method that Bungie has delivered story content, others have taken issue with it. Some of whom have taken to Reddit to criticize and report their negative experiences in regards to the story. Destiny 2 players criticize devs story philosophy Destiny 2 players have criticized Bungie’s philosophy of delivering story content. Both new and returning players have expressed their issues with how the story is delivered, particularly critiquing the “you had to be there” attitude. The player explained that after returning and reaching Beyond Light, they were completely lost with the story, complaining that the seasonal story was too pivotal to the overall plot. “Why make seasonal content, that will be deleted when the season ends, a pivotal part of the story???? I might drop this game. this whole ‘you had to be there’ garbage is just not new player-friendly at all.” they argued. Others echoed the player’s sentiment, pointing out the new player experience as the weakest part of Destiny 2. “Yeah, the new/returning player experience is by far the weakest part of this game. It’s kind of staggering TBH.” one player noted. Conversely, a few commenters pointed out the duality of seasonal content, explaining that seasonal content can also feel completely unrelated to the main plot. “You also have the opposite. I took a break right after Lightfall and missed the last 2-3 seasons. Came back and I feel like almost nothing of major narrative importance happened.” they explained. It’s uncertain if Bungie has any plans to amend some of these issues with Destiny 2’s story, but with The Final Shape fast approaching, the devs may not have time to appease the player base.

Destiny 2 players convinced The Final Shape will debut a 12-person endgame activity – Dexerto
Destiny 2 players convinced The Final Shape will debut a 12-person endgame activity BungieCould The Final Shape be introducing Destiny 2’s first 12-person activity as an ultimate climax to round out the Light and Darkness Saga? Guardians certainly think that’s the case. For the past nine years, the Destiny series has been rather consistent when it comes to Fireteam sizes for various activities. Standard PVE is locked to three Guardians at most while the true endgame challenge in a Raid allows six Guardians to stand side by side. However, as The Final Shape looms overhead, could this trend be bucked for one final showdown? Based on some subtle developer comments and earlier leaks, many in the community are now convinced that’s the case. As we now know for certain, the Light and Darkness Saga concludes with a highly-anticipated confrontation. Guardians are officially set to lock horns with The Witness head-on, but exactly what form this fight takes is now coming into question. When discussing the conclusive Raid launching in The Final Shape, Destiny 2 Director Joe Blackburn was very particular in his wording during a recent showcase. “We’re gonna help make sure everyone is brought along for the journey,” he said, not mincing words. Developers then clarified one key tidbit. While the Raid seemingly concludes the 10-year arc in Destiny, Guardians don’t necessarily have to play the Raid to get the “full story.” “There is a piece of the story that’s told in the Raid, that’s essential. But it’s definitely not going to be a moment where only Raiders get to see the end of the Light and Darkness saga.” So with these comments under the microscope, many have now begun to speculate what it all means. While a fight with The Witness is locked in, could something follow soon-after? Perhaps a bigger activity that brings everyone together like never before? Leaks earlier in the year hinted at the idea of a 12-player activity. A standalone challenge outside of the Raid, something everyone can enjoy in its own right. Now, with the new dev comments, some players are circling back and connecting dots. “All I have to say is that the language and wording in the showcase HEAVILY hinted at something like this happening,” one player said on Reddit. “The true ending was missed yesterday,” another post added, implying they caught on to the hidden meaning in Bungie’s comments. “The Raid is not the end of the Witness. It’ll be a matchmade encounter,” they speculated. Funnily enough, we actually saw a 12-player ‘bug’ back in 2021, as multiple Fireteams joined forces in a Raid. Looking back now, perhaps this was just the earliest sign of devs testing what’s to come. Obviously, this is pure speculation for the time being, so do take this information with a grain of salt for the time being. Given the secrecy of Raids, it’s likely we won’t have confirmation until the first Fireteam clears The Final Wish Raid in full, potentially opening the floodgates for the rumored 12-man activity. For now though, we’ll all just have to wait and see what Bungie is planning for its epic conclusion to the Light and Darkness saga. The Final Shape is set to go live on February 27, 2024, and rest assured we’ll be there on day one.

Destiny 2 players convinced new Prismatic subclass will destroy PvP balance – Dexerto
Destiny 2 players convinced new Prismatic subclass will destroy PvP balance BungieThe latest Destiny 2 developer livestream brought with it some huge revelations about the upcoming expansion, The Final Shape. One of the major reveals was the new subclass Prismatic, which has PvP players worried about the game’s future. The new subclass is a bold new direction for Destiny. It allows players to combine powers from multiple existing subclasses to create bold new builds that look like they could raise Guardians to a ridiculous level of power. The move has generally been received very well by the community, with many excited to take the fight to The Witness when the expansion releases. One area where feedback has been a little more mixed is in PvP, with many worried that balancing could go out the window if the subclass is available in all PvP modes. In a post on Reddit, one player shared their excitement and trepidation at the news, from the perspective of someone who plays both PvE and PvP. Many players were quick to echo his thoughts “My first thought was how am I supposed to know what’s coming my way in trials now lol. Even with exotic class items and a subclass icon, it doesn’t tell you anything before the match starts, so you can’t make last-minute changes. Technically a solo queue issue, but still worth noting.” Others suggested mitigations to prevent issues in PvP. One said: “Ability cooldowns and fragment slot limitations probably. Like you’re getting less mileage out of each fragment if it is not covering your whole kit. We don’t really have 100% uptime on abilities, too, so we do have to engage with the other systems in the game.” More details on the new subclass will emerge as the expansion nears its full release on June 4.

Destiny 2 players convinced buffed Fusion Rifle is a must-have in Season of the Witch – Dexerto
Destiny 2 players convinced buffed Fusion Rifle is a must-have in Season of the Witch The arrival of Season of the Witch has seen some weapon perks buffed and certain guns benefit. These buffs have led Destiny 2 players to go back and use an old Fusion Rifle that is proving a powerhouse in Season 22. With its launch on August 22, Season of the Witch made big changes to Destiny’s ever-growing sandbox. It has introduced three new Exotic armor pieces, numerous weapons, and rebalanced several existing perks. One of the perks to receive a buff was Envious Assassin. There is no longer a time limit after kills to trigger its effect, it will still trigger when the magazine is overflowed, and the Enhanced version now provides more ammo per kill. While Envious Assassin was always popular it is now one of the best traits in Destiny 2. Naturally, guns that get access to it are receiving some extra attention with one particular Fusion Rifle standing out. Destiny 2 players love buffed Royal Executioner Fusion Rifle Destiny 2 fans are in love with the Royal Executioner, a craftable Solar Fusion Rifle that was first available in Season of Defiance. The popular Fusion gets access to the combination of Enhanced Envious Assassin and Reservoir Burst which have great synergy with one another. One Reddit post brought attention to this buffed gun: “Do yourself a favour and craft a Royal Executioner… It’s very easy to get 17 in the mag and every round above the usual max will be a Reservoir Burst. Excellent for ad-clear and single target burst damage.” OP went on to compare the buffed Royal Executioner to Riptide, stating that it’s “as useful for any build,” as the long-established Stasis Fusion Rifle. Impressed by both the perk and the gun one user replied: “I genuinely can’t believe they buffed Envious Assassin, it’s so good.” The praise continued with other fans responding: “Best Fusion in the game right now, I’ve loved it,” and “This is my go to I crafted one last season great for PvE and PvP.” Another Guardian offered an alternative setup for Royal Executioner: “Originally crafted it with Reservoir Burst, and it was really good but I kept thinking it’d be best to craft it with Incandescent instead so I did and I don’t regret it. The synergy with the solar subclass is just too good…” Thanks to the new gun leveling mechanic Destiny 2 players can craft and level up the Royal Executioner Fusion Rifle using resources. From Level 0 to Level 17 – the level required to get the god roll – it costs 43 Enhancement Cores and 70,000 Glimmer.

Destiny 2 players convinced a ‘hidden’ Gambit teleporter only just showed up – Dexerto
Destiny 2 players convinced a ‘hidden’ Gambit teleporter only just showed up BungieDestiny 2 players are convinced that a teleporter on the Legion’s Folly Gambit map only just appeared, with many unaware of its existence since the game mode launched. Bungie’s massively popular looter shooter Destiny 2 offers players plenty of things to do whilst exploring the galaxy. Whether that be hanging out relaxing at the tower, coordinating with other guardians in a raid setting, or taking down said guardians in The Crucible, Destiny 2 is basically a playground for players to enjoy. Bungie is well aware of this fact and is constantly introducing new activities for players to partake in. One such activity that was introduced all the way back in the Forsaken expansion was Gambit. Gambit was an exciting 4v4 PvEvP mode that saw players face off in a race to summon and defeat a primeval. While rather unique, the game mode was enjoyed for a while after it was released, but the game fell out of favor and players generally moved on. Since that time the game mode has existed in a dormant state, with players still possibly hopping in for weekly rewards. As such the amount of ambit matches players partake in has drastically dropped, and could be the reason why so few players knew about this insane hidden teleporter. Destiny 2 players shocked by a teleporter barely anyone knew about Found on the map of Legion’s Folly, the Nessus-inspired Gambit map features teleporters to help players cover distance across the arena. Alongside these teleporters is a huge drill that digs deep into the surface of the map. For many. This would assumably be a death pit, as walking into a large active mining drill often is. However, those who did know were able to gain a massive advantage in teleporting to a different zone. Destiny 2 players seemed to be split on the matter, with even some veterans admitting they’ve never seen the teleporter before. “Um yeah sure I knew that was there how could someone with 5k hours in game not know that? Right guys, right?” one player sheepishly admitted. One user swore they attempted to go through the portal, but were killed by the drill. “I was gonna say, I could’ve sworn I’ve tried this and died” they stated. However, others were shocked by how few knew about this secret teleporter. After all, Dexerto can confirm this is nothing new. The teleporter has been present on the map since Gambit first came into the mix. Despite all the shock going on about the teleporter, it’s unlikely the Destiny 2 community will hop into a game of Gambit just to find out.

Destiny 2 players confused as Neptune public event “doesn’t count” as activity – Dexerto
Destiny 2 players confused as Neptune public event “doesn’t count” as activity Some Destiny 2 players have complained that the Vex Incursion public event in Neptune doesn’t count as an activity on the planet, making them frustrated and confused regarding the matter. Destiny 2 has released a challenge called “in the hot seat” as a part of the Solstice 2023 triumphs. For this, players need to take part in activities in Neptune within the game to complete it. However, some are reporting that completing the Vex Incursion public event in Neptune doesn’t count towards its competition. In fact, Terminal Overload and Patrols don’t count toward the competition either. The only things that work for now are the Hypernet Current Strike or Lost Sectors despite the Triumph description claiming that it should work with any activity on Neptune. Destiny 2 challenge bug leads to frustration among players A Reddit user raised an issue regarding the bug showcasing their frustration claiming, “Is there a reason Vex Incursion, the pinnacle of Neptune public events; DOES NOT COUNT AS A NEPTUNE ACTIVITY?”. It seems they have been trying this for two days with no result. Another commented, “What is counted? I did Terminal Overload, Patrols and those don’t count either. Is it just Public Events?” on being unsure what works for this challenge. To this, another player added, “I swear Bungie has a different definition of logic when it comes to game design and requirements ffs!” expressing their frustration. A player even mocked Bungie by remarking, “Small indie company please understand”. Another user felt it’s a recurring issue and claimed “They really need to be more specific on this. Other planets have had the same issue in the past.” Bungie is yet to make any statements regarding this problem. However, other activities like Hypernet Current Strike, Master Story missions, and Lost Sectors do count towards the progress according to the community.

Destiny 2 players conflicted over Starcrossed Exotic mission fix – Dexerto
Destiny 2 players conflicted over Starcrossed Exotic mission fix BungieDestiny 2 fans are conflicted after Bungie patched a method of safety beating the Starcrossed Exotic mission final boss by adding a wall forcing players to enter the arena to deal damage. Alongside Wish Tokens, Season of the Wish also saw the introduction of a new Exotic Mission, Starcrossed. Completing the Starcrossed mission rewards the Wish Keeper bow which is a unique Exotic that has great synergy with various Strand builds. However, players quickly figured out that this mission’s final encounter – Akardon – could be exploited by shooting the Hydra boss through a barrier near the entrance with a powerful Exotic like Wish-Ender. This allowed Guardians to avoid the boss entirely and skip most of its mechanics. An initial fix that made the method slightly less reliable was implemented on January 9, but this was easily circumvented. On February 6, Bungie returned this time adding a change that completely ruins the method and it has left the community divided. Starcrossed final boss has been patched Noticing a change to the Starcrossed Exotic mission’s final boss, one Guardian posted on Reddit, “Not sure how long it’s been live but this is Bungies way of ‘fixing’ the Vex wall that you could shoot through to cheese the Starcrossed boss.” The attached image reveals a newly added wall in place of what used to be a barrier. While the old barrier could be shot through using anti-barrier weapons, this newly added wall is solid forcing Destiny 2 players to enter the arena to deal damage. The most upvoted comment responded, “This is hilarious though, people were still somehow abusing it so Bungie really just said ‘nah, f**k you, no more window, do it right’”. Those who supported the change replied, “I mean. It was kind of expected,” and “destiny 2 players when they have to play the game,” followed by a mocking Fearful Face emoji. While both of these comments received plenty of support, not everyone agreed the patch was needed, “Bungie fixing the symptoms and not the cause again. Every time there is an issue with ‘cheesing’ its because of sh*t encounter design or problems with bugs.” Another like-minded Guardian argued, “It just goes to show how bad Bungie’s level design is now that the only way they can make an encounter ‘chellenging’ is to make a boss who does so much damage that he one shots you, and make an encounter room where there is literally no where to hide. I’m so sick of this kind of level design.” With the exploit patched, it is now recommended to stick to the left side of the room using cover and refresh your buff when necessary. Though more difficult, Akardon isn’t too hard with an LFG group meaning most players should still be able to complete Starcrossed.

Destiny 2 players condemn “abhorrent” dev abuse during Into The Light reveal – Dexerto
Destiny 2 players condemn “abhorrent” dev abuse during Into The Light reveal BungieDestiny 2 players have spoken out and condemned members of the community who were verbally abusive towards Bungie developers branding their actions as “abhorrent.” On March 19, Bungie hosted a developer stream revealing new information about the upcoming update, Into The Light. This included a breakdown of the exciting new game mode coming in April, Onslaught. However, the stream was overshadowed by the extreme levels of toxicity on display with players sending abusive messages to the developers. This included slurs, death threats, and DMs targeted at one of the developer’s accounts. Following the stream, the community rallied against those sending these messages. One such player posted on X/Twitter, “Yeah, I’m going to call this out. This behavior towards a dev in the middle of a live stream is disgusting,” before questioning, “How awful a person are you to do this to a Bungie dev for simply showcasing upcoming content they’re excited to give you for free?” This was followed up by a Reddit post stating, “The toxicity towards Bungie has gotten egregious,” with OP going on to insist that, “While Bungie has made mistakes in the past the few devs left trying to deliver don’t deserve the constant harassment this community gives.” The same post went on to slam those sending abusive messages: “During the live stream the chat was abhorrent, 99% negativity for a FREE content update. I know there are many that have the mindset of ‘They deserve it’ but the devs your directly attacking in stream don’t deserve it.” Others responding to the Reddit thread agreed with one player responding, “Not gonna lie, I caught the livestream late due to work and was only able to catch like the last 10-15 minutes and man, this community is toxic to the next level.” Another like-minded Guardian commented, “It’s baffling how the poor dev got bombarded with outright disturbing messages on steam after he accidentally tabbed out. The guy seemed like a cool dude and he was visibly bothered when those friend requests started coming in from people naming themselves the literal N word, ‘kys’ spelled out, and a reference to sexual assault.” These negative comments follow several controversial decisions from Bungie including delaying The Final Shape expansion and its large-scale lay-offs. Even so, these remarks should not be tolerated and the community has made it clear they do not stand with those encouraging such behavior.

Destiny 2 players concerned that resilience stat has broken amidst buggy patch – Dexerto
Destiny 2 players concerned that resilience stat has broken amidst buggy patch BungieDestiny 2 players are concerned that the resilience stat is no longer working after the recent patch was filled with bugs and glitches that broke the game. The recent patch 7.0.5.0 for Destiny 2 has had quite a negative impact on the game. Whilst originally intended to bring in some minor buffs and a new commendation, it appears that several bugs and glitches were also brought into the game. These bugs have had the Destiny 2 player base up in arms, with players beginning to create lists of the current bugs that were brought into the game with the patch. This prompted Bungie to take swift action, releasing a hotfix patch shortly after to soothe some of the issues brought in. Unfortunately, it appears a new bug has entered the game involving players’ resilience stats, causing a mass of confusion for the community. Players have noticed that they’re suddenly taking much more damage than usual in Destiny 2, with Guardians reporting content becoming much more difficult as a result. Many have reported to the same Reddit thread about their own experience, also expressing how the difficulty felt like it had suddenly shot up after the recent patch. “I was having a tough time last night in battlegrounds and was confused why all of a sudden it was challenging.” a commenter empathized. One Redditor believed they had the answer to player questions, stating that the resilience stat in the game is currently broken, and not working as intended. For those unaware, resilience allows players to take reduced damage from attacks, with the value increasing as they put more resilience into their build. This stat can be incredibly important whilst running higher-level content, as it can make the difference between hitting critical health and dying completely. Bungie has since responded to the Reddit thread, stating that they will start an “investigation with the team.” However, the certainty of resilience being broken is 100% as players have discovered that tests have shown that there has been “no difference in their performance as of yet”. It’s uncertain what the cause of this mysterious damage increase is aside from resilience, however, with Bungie and the Destiny 2 community collectively scratching their heads on what this newest bug could be.

Destiny 2 players concerned over wild framerate bug altering damage ahead of Lightfall’s raid – Dexerto
Destiny 2 players concerned over wild framerate bug altering damage ahead of Lightfall’s raid BungieDestiny 2 players have become further concerned about a prevalent framerate damage bug in Lightfall, one that could potentially affect the Root of Nightmares raid race. Lightfall has recently been released to the live servers of Destiny 2, bringing with it new content including a campaign, subclass, and location. However, Lightfall has also brought about several bugs that have made the player base quite concerned. From exotics to subclasses to UI bugs, Destiny 2 has become quite a troubled game since the new expansion rolled out. This is particularly problematic as the game heads toward the release of the Lightfall raid. Bungie will be hosting a World first raid race for The Root of Nightmares, and as such players are concerned that the integrity of the competition will be affected by bugs. Several of these bugs are quite severe, and can easily break the balance or competitiveness of the game. Bungie has taken steps toward mitigating the problems caused by the bugs, including investigating several fixes and disabling exotics that they deem game-breaking. While Bungie has been doing all it can to resolve the issues, it appears that more bugs just keep popping up. Unfortunately, another bug has now been brought into the spotlight by the Destiny 2 community. The player base has brought further attention to a damage bug that has been in the game for quite some time, expressing that it has only been exacerbated by Lightfall’s release. The damage bug in question allows players on lower FPS to take significantly less damage from certain attacks. This means that players can intentionally limit their frames per second in order to gain an advantage during the World’s first raid race, potentially throwing out the integrity of the competition. It appears that the bug only occurs for certain damage types, as reported by Paul Tassi, “ Cabal Thresher ships will one-shot you with missiles which for some reason, have hugely increased damage tied to frame rate. I believe this is true for Cabal Interceptors too.” The player base has been aware of this bug for quite some time and has asked Bungie for a fix to this problem. However, it seems that Bungie hasn’t been able to do so just yet, and now players are discovering even more ways for it to occur. Bungie has yet to state if they’re investigating the bug, but until such a time, players will just have to hope the issue can be solved by the time the World’s first comes around.

Destiny 2 players concerned “flawed” Necrochasm has no place in the meta – Dexerto
Destiny 2 players concerned “flawed” Necrochasm has no place in the meta The novelty of the new raid Exotic has worn off and now Destiny 2 players are beginning to question if Nechrochasm is worth using over other Exotic weapons or if it simply has no place in the meta. Season of the Witch saw the arrival of a newly reprised raid, Crota’s End. In addition to revamping encounters and making the raid much more difficult, Bungie also brought back an old Exotic weapon. Nechochasm is the Exotic gun unique to Crota’s End. It’s a Kinetic Auto Rifle that can trigger explosions perfect for clearing adds. Plus as an AR it can take advantage of the anti-Barrier Champion mod present on Season 22’s artifact. However, members of the Destiny 2 community are concerned that it has some flaws that make it difficult to recommend using over the competition. Destiny 2 players not convinced Necrochasm is worth using Confused by the state of the new Exotic weapon, a Destiny 2 player asked on Reddit: “Why would I use Necrochasm when Osteo Striga exists?” “Necrochasm is a weapon that lives and dies by its add clear potential. You kill with a headshot, trigger that thrall explosion chain on enemies, and reload that sucker for that 900 RPM goodness,” OP explained, detailing the Necrochasm’s strengths. The post then compared Necrochasm to another popular Exotic: “Osteo Striga is quite similar but vastly superior. You kill (no headshot required), trigger that poison-spreading chain on enemies, and… that’s it. No reloading required.” “There is no practical reason to use Necrochasm over Osteo in PVE aside for Champion mods but even then Quicksilver would do better,” one player responded further stressing how Necrochasm struggles against the competition. It isn’t just the Osteo Striga match-up that has players worried: “…A fully automatic weapon that requires precision kills when Sunshot, Graviton, Osteo and Trinity Ghoul don’t. It’s flawed on a fundamental level IMO and should be buffed to at least its [Destiny 1] counterpart.” In Destiny 1, Necrochasm was buffed so that its unique trait could trigger from body shots as well as precision shots. However, Destiny 2 reverts this forcing Guardians to once again land precision final blows. Some replies were less troubled about the Necrochasm’s weaknesses believing it didn’t matter because “90% of the content is braindead easy,” although this response did prompt the counterargument that Raid Exotics should be “some of the best weapons,” since they are endgame loot. This isn’t the only controversy surrounding the new Exotic, with concerns about how long it takes to unlock Necrochasm’s catalyst also being raised in the Destiny 2 community.

Destiny 2 players commemorate Lance Reddick’s anniversary with emotional tributes – Dexerto
Destiny 2 players commemorate Lance Reddick’s anniversary with emotional tributes BungieThe Destiny 2 community has paid tribute to Lance Reddick one year after the legendary actor died and his role as Commander Zavala came to an end. On March 17, 2024, respected actor Lance Reddick died aged 60 shocking the entertainment world. He was known for playing several notable roles across media including Cedric Daniels in The Wire and Sylens in Horizon Zero Dawn. For Destiny players though Reddick is best known for voicing Commander Zavala, the leader of the Vanguard and representative of the Titan class. Though Bungie would later announce Lance Reddick’s successor for this role his memory lives on with the looter shooter’s community forever remembering his contributions. Destiny 2 fans pay tribute to Lance Reddick one year on Paying tribute to Lance Reddick, a Destiny 2 player shared, “RIP Lance Reddick,” with the post going on to receive over 1,800 upvotes in under 24 hours. In an emotional message, OP expressed, “Today marks the 1st anniversary of the unfortunate passing of Lance Reddick,” before continuing, “He acted and played this game so well from day 1 of this game until his unfortunate passing. Maybe Bungie will do something in game to commemorate him.” Others were quick to join in with their own tributes responding, “Pouring out a pack of my favorite blue crayons for the legend. I loved him as a voice actor… Can’t believe it’s been a year already too…” Another emotional user replied, “Lance’s death hit me, it felt like a good part of my life is over. I played Destiny 1 in Iraq with my BFF. We cleared the Prison of Elders together. It was an escape for me during those years. I feel like Destiny will never be the same. I’m gonna cherish those times as long as my memory holds. RIP Lance, you were a true one.” Many fans kept their tributes short but sweet with the likes of, “RIP our great Commander. You are dearly missed,” and, “Rest in peace commander! Not the same knowing you won’t be in the final shape!” Several players expressed their disappointment that Bungie has yet to implement anything in Destiny 2 to commemorate Lance Reddick. Despite this, it was highlighted that an emblem named ‘Commander’s Salute’ was added in August 2023 but is not yet obtainable.

Destiny 2 players claim simple change would fix Borealis – Dexerto
Destiny 2 players claim simple change would fix Borealis BungieDestiny 2 players claimed they’d found a buff to fix Borealis, and demanded that the Exotic Sniper be given Unstoppable, Anti-Barrier, and Overload rounds. Destiny 2 Exotic weapons are the cornerstones to nearly all successful PvE loadouts, like the Anarchy meta that resulted in players absolutely melting some raid and Dungeon bosses. The Exotic Sniper, Borealis, has an exotic perk called “The Fundamentals” that allows players to switch between three damage types – Void, Solar, and Arc. Players have never felt like the gun was needed in any activity, PvE or PvP, and are finally fed up with the weapon’s underpowered state, demanding that Bungie buff it. Destiny 2 players want Borealis PvE buffs One player proposed a PvE buff for the Exotic Sniper on social media. “A good way to give Borealis a buff would be to have anti-champ[ion] mods for each element it can swap to,” they said. The proposed anti-champion mod for each of the damage types was Unstoppable for Solar, Overload for Void, and Anti-Barrier for Arc. Players responded to the proposal with immediate encouragement. “I want this,” one player agreed. “Arc would make more sense for overload, but I do like this idea,” another said. However, other players weren’t so keen on simplifying the champion content and thought that this buff would just make the harder endgame activities boring and Borealis a “mindless” must-pick. “A good way to buff borealis is to make even more of a de facto mindless pick than Wishender, which was a more mindless pick than Arbalest,” one player said. However, other Destiny 2 fans disagreed entirely, claiming the buff wouldn’t even make the gun OP in solo content, let alone group activities. “People saying this would be OP act like champs are hard to counter. It would MAYBE have a place in solo content, even then it would not be OP,” they retorted. Regardless of whether you enjoy using the Borealis or not, be sure to check out our dedicated Destiny 2 page for all the latest news, like Xur updates and more.

Destiny 2 players can’t stop laughing at ridiculous “yeet” finisher – Dexerto
Destiny 2 players can’t stop laughing at ridiculous “yeet” finisher There are few actions as satisfying as using a finisher in Destiny 2, and large sections of the community are gathering to laud one particularly hilarious animation. For the uninitiated, Destiny 2 allows players to trigger finishers on low-health enemies in PvE. When they do so, the game essentially plays a kill animation, and over the years, Bungie has added many different options for Guardians to use. The wider community is able to unlock new finishers by completing levels in the season pass or by shopping in the Eververse Store. Though some are available for Bright Dust, which can be earned by playing the game, others require real-world currency converted to Silver in order to purchase them. One of those currently on offer in the latter category has attracted players’ attention thanks to its hilarious effect on enemies. Destiny 2 finisher lets Guardians launch enemies into the distance One player took to Reddit to share their delight at unlocking a finisher that allows their Guardian to hit an enemy into orbit. The finisher is currently available in the Eververse Store at a relatively significant cost of 800 Silver, though some feel it is worth it purely for its comedic value. One said: “You make an interesting presentation and proposition… Deal, I am buying it.” Another took it even further, suggesting that finishers like this could solve any income issues Bungie may be having in the wake of significant layoffs, saying: “Hey Bungie make more YEET finishers and your monetary woes are over.” Others pointed out that a groundswell of concern surrounding the wider game would be undermined if people keep engaging in expensive microtransactions. One added: “People be like “vote with your wallets!” The same people when there is a silly finisher.” With the future of Destiny 2 unclear after reports of potential delays to The Final Shape, fun finishers will not be enough to assuage the significant concerns of players. That said, punching a Cabal Incendior into the distance while we wait is nice.

Destiny 2 players can now earn easy Red Border weapons every day – Dexerto
Destiny 2 players can now earn easy Red Border weapons every day BungieBungie has introduced a catch-up system in Destiny 2 that lets players earn seasonal Red Border weapons more easily than ever before. Not only did the new Destiny 2 update make expansions free for everyone, but it also introduced a new system that makes farming seasonal Red Border weapons much easier. Every day until The Final Shape, Destiny 2 players can complete a seasonal activity for a guaranteed Red Border weapon. The first daily completion of any seasonal activity will always reward a Red Border weapon from that activity’s rewards. For example, if you complete a daily run of The Coil or Riven’s Lair you’ll receive one of the following Deepsight weapons: Appetence, Doomed Petitioner, Lethophobia, Scatter Signal, Scalar Potential, or Supercluster. There are a total of 24 seasonal weapons in Lightfall to earn crafting recipes for. Here are all the weapons that you can now easily farm Red Borders for: Several top weapons can be earned from seasonal activities with many of these being viable options. However, the standouts that you’ll want to prioritize are Appetence, Brya’s Love, Doomed Petitioner, Raconteur, Royal Executioner, Scatter Signal, Semiotician, and Supercluster. These are all top-tier weapons that feature strong perk pools that help them stand out. Some of these are genuinely the best weapons in Destiny 2 so you would be missing out big time if you don’t take advantage. This update certainly makes farming seasonal Red Border weapons easier, but some players may still be far behind. If this is the case, consider using Deepsight Harmonizers to get extra Red Borders and speed up the process even more.

Destiny 2 players can claim over 3,000 Bright Dust for free – Dexerto
Destiny 2 players can claim over 3,000 Bright Dust for free DexertoDestiny 2 developer Bungie is giving away over 3,000 Bright Dust for free as compensation for an oversight with the Pathfinder system. Each week, 350 Bright Dust will be claimable from the Eververse Store for the next nine weeks, meaning Guardians can claim a total of 3,150 Bright Dust for free. The first batch is already available as of August 6 and will remain in the featured section of the Eververse store until the weekly reset on August 13. It will then be replaced by another batch, with this cycle continuing until October 1, 2024. This was confirmed by Bungie’s global community lead – Dylan Garner – who posted on X/Twitter, “Reminder: Weekly Free Bright Dust starts this week. 350 a week for nine weeks. Snag it from the Eververse tab.” Revealing why Bungie is giving away so much free Bright Dust, Garner explained on Reddit, “Players aren’t earning as much Bright Dust as we expected under the new Pathfinder system released with The Final Shape.” The community lead then elaborated, “We wanted to get ahead of this and issue a make good to get folks caught up as there were no intentions of reducing XP or Bright Dust earn rates. Had the comms planned for last week, but delay pushed us out,” with this originally intended to be announced in the TWID that was delayed following last week’s layoffs. Bright Dust is a rare currency that can be spent on specific cosmetics that would normally require Silver, Destiny 2’s premium currency. This includes shaders, sparrows, ships, and even ornaments for both Exotic weapons and armor. It’s not easy to come by, with Bright Dust only available from event bounties like what’s featured in Solstice 2024, completing seasonal challenges, and farming Pathfinder. To receive this much for free is a huge bonus for players, who can now purchase cosmetics that they may have otherwise missed out on.

Destiny 2 players call out major flaws in Iron Banner Tribute mode – Dexerto
Destiny 2 players call out major flaws in Iron Banner Tribute mode BungieEach time Iron Banner comes around, it offers one of four possible game modes. Tribute is the currently active mode, but Destiny 2 players aren’t happy with the way it currently works, leading them to call for change. Most of the community’s issues with Iron Banner relate to how The Hunt works in Tribute. Specifically, the first major problem is that being the team to trigger The Hunt offers no tangible advantage over the other team, with both able to score double points regardless. When the Hunt is triggered in Tribute, three turrets also spawn that need to be dispatched to start claiming points again. These also target both teams equally and don’t provide any bonus rewards, again providing no real advantage to the team that takes them out. This is in stark contrast to modes like Control, where triggering The Hunt is usually enough to secure victory. These issues were highlighted in a Reddit post, where one Destiny 2 player pointed out several flaws in the way Tribute currently functions. This Guardian expressed, “I can’t be the only one that thinks the Hunt in Iron Banners Tribute game mode is terrible,” before elaborating, “The Hunt is the worst part. It doesn’t benefit the team that triggers it more than it does the other team. Also, what’s the point in the turrets??” Responses to the post showed almost universal agreement from the community. One player said, “It just makes zero sense. There’s no benefit in being the ones activating it. And largely based on my games it actively prevents the other team from catching up if they’re getting smoked and turns into a camp fest as everyone waits in a circle til the end to dunk.” Another added, “Everything about Tribute is bad. I finished my reset and Pinnacles (8 in the same slot!) and bailed. I actually won proportionally more games off Tribute than Control by a significant margin. But losing in Control is more fun than winning in Tribute.” A third posited that The Hunt is just a poorly executed version of Gambit, replying, “To me, Tribute has been a really subpar game mode since it was first introduced. I’m pretty sure at the time, Bungie was trying to get people to play Gambit without actually doing anything about the game mode. Tribute feels like they just dropped the ball on it because of how poorly executed everything was in it.” The good news is that Iron Banner is set to end after the weekly reset on July 16, so any disgruntled players won’t have to worry about it for too much longer. It isn’t expected to make a return until the second half of Episode Echoes Act 2.

Destiny 2 players call out Exotic focusing for “ridiculous” cost – Dexerto
Destiny 2 players call out Exotic focusing for “ridiculous” cost BungieBoth Bungie and Master Rahool have come under fire with the Tower’s Cryptarch being criticized for the expensive prices he charges for Exotic focusing in Destiny 2. With the arrival of Season of the Deep, Rahool got a rework that made him more useful. Via Focused Decoding, players can now trade in resources to acquire Exotic armor and even reroll for the best piece possible. This was bugged at release giving Destiny 2 players terrible rolls for the cost. However, this was fixed and now Rahool’s Exotic focusing is a viable way of obtaining top-tier rolls. Despite this, some players still aren’t happy feeling as though the rates that the Cryptarch charges are just too much for what you get in return. Destiny 2 fans want Rahool’s Exotic focusing made cheaper Rahool currently charges x1 Exotic Engram, 60,000 Glimmer, x1 Exotic Cipher, and x3 Ascendant Shards to focus and reroll for any Exotic armor that has already been obtained. Upset by this pricing, one fan posted: “An Exotic Cipher is enough for focusing an Exotic, why all the other stuff? You’d still have to make a choice between a few things like Xur’s rolls. As it stands it’s WAAAAY too much tbh, 3 golf balls is ridiculous, especially for RNG of stat rolls.” This stance proved popular with another fan responding: “It’s funny to think that they are sitting there requiring 3 golf balls to get a random roll, then another 3 to masterwork it and that comes to 3/5th of our entire 10 we are officially allowed to hold.” ”Golf ball’ is a commonly used community term for Ascendant Shards due to their similar appearances. Although many agreed with OP, others didn’t see the problem: “Endgame players (who this level of focusing is targeting) will usually have more golf balls than they have places to realistically spend them. 3 golf balls for a single specific Exotic focusing is steep, but it only exists for the people who don’t have any other use for them.” While some end-game Destiny 2 players are annoyed over Rahool’s rates, early game players are lost and feeling overwhelmed by the confusing story structure.

Destiny 2 players call out Bungie for Season of the Wish “robbery” with costly shaders – Dexerto
Destiny 2 players call out Bungie for Season of the Wish “robbery” with costly shaders BungieDestiny 2 players have called out Bungie for their shader bundle released in Season of the Wish, labeling it as a “robbery”. Season of the Wish has finally arrived in Destiny 2. The penultimate season before The Final Shape, Season of the Wish sees the Guardians interact with Riven after unlocking the elusive 15th Wish. Alongside the new content like the Warlord’s Ruin dungeon, seasonal content, and new Dragon’s Breath exotic, the store was also refreshed with new offerings. The Eververse store in Destiny 2 offers an array of various cosmetics players can purchase with the freemium Bright Dust, or paid Silver currency. This store is consistently updated with new cosmetics including finishers, weapon skins, and shaders. Shaders are the form of dye in Destiny 2, allowing players to customize their Guardian in various color schemes. However, the newest shader bundle in Destiny 2 has rubbed some players the wrong way, with many labeling the latest shader collection as “robbery”. Destiny 2 players slam Bungie over new Season of the Wish shader bundle The Season of the Wish shader bundle offers players 4 shaders for the price of 800 Silver. Players have taken issue with the pricing of the bundle, claiming it would cost up to CAD 14 to purchase. “The amount of greediness is insane holy cow. Actual robbery, this pack should be like 1200 bright dust at the most. How does this cost $14 CAD?. Who hit the greed shrine in Diablo 4 before adding this?” The post reads. Others agreed with the commentary, some even taking the opportunity to poke fun at Bungie’s recent loss in revenue. “-45% revenue moment,” a user joked. “They are just abusing what they can while they can. Some idiots will buy this and they care only about that. This game is not a game anymore look at all this! It’s sh*t compared to what other actually good games offer for the same value,” another flamed. Some users did point out that these shaders will likely come back for Bright Dust in a future season, however, because Season of the Wish is longer than usual players have theorized it may return sooner than expected.

Destiny 2 players call out Bungie for advertising a weapon still not in the game – Dexerto
Destiny 2 players call out Bungie for advertising a weapon still not in the game BungieDestiny 2 players have criticized Bungie for using a weapon set in various pieces of art and even in advertisements, despite not all weapons being available in the game just yet. Bungie’s popular looter shooter Destiny 2 has become one of the most popular games around. With its mixture of ability slinging and shooting, the space sci-fi shooter holds a space in many players’ hearts. The most recent expansion of Destiny 2 introduced us to Neomuna and Strand. As per most expansions, the new location hosted a new story, enemies, and missions for players to complete. However, arguably the best part of any Destiny 2 expansion is the opportunity to grab and try out brand-new weapons. This excitement is reflected in Bungie’s marketing, as they often advertise new weapons in order to hype up the player base for an upcoming release. This was also the case for Lightfall, in which Bungie showed off a bunch of neat weapons on offer. One set of weapons has left a bit of a sore spot with the community, however, as the weapons are yet to actually make their appearance in the game. Destiny 2 players point out missing weapons being advertised A Reddit user noticed that Bungie has still been using images of a Neomunan weapon set, one that is not yet in the game. “Yes this has to do with the Hand Cannon debacle, most people think that was ‘solved’ with Parting the Veil but the thing is, there’s a total of 5 weapons used in advertising that never appeared in game and as shown with the Hand Cannon, they have the models and can implement them with some work,” the post reads. This problem was only exacerbated by the recent Parting the Veil quest. “The worst part of this is that the image they’re using for ‘Parting the Veil’ is an image that shows all 5 together… it’s obvious they were changed to the moon weapons super late in development, probably to save the models for a later release,” one player claimed, with many soon filling the comments to agree with the logic. Many users have also expressed their disappointment in Bungie, with another pointing out the lack of new armor for core activities. “They also failed to give us new armor for the core activities,” one commenter stated, adding further fuel to the fire. Some even made bets to see how long the developers would be able to drag it out. No one knows when exactly Bungie will grace the Destiny community with these particular weapons, but the player base is not too happy that they haven’t been released just yet. We’ll be sure to keep you updated here as any further details emerge on the status of these missing guns.

Destiny 2 players call on Bungie to fix Champions: “Entire system needs reworking” – Dexerto
Destiny 2 players call on Bungie to fix Champions: “Entire system needs reworking” BungieSeason of the Lost is off to a hot start, but the Destiny 2 community isn’t fully enamored by all of the content on offer, and many players are now imploring Bungie to revamp one specific PVE gameplay mechanic: Champions. Destiny 2’s fourth expansion, Shadowkeep, introduced a ton of new content for players to explore. One of the most impactful changes added in the 2019 content drop was the addition of new enemy types across all factions called Champions. Found only in specific (and typically high-level) content such as Nightfalls, Master Lost Sectors, or seasonal activities, the three Champion varieties — Barrier, Overload, and Unstoppable — brought new dynamics to PVE with their own unique mechanics. Despite adding more nuance (and more difficultly) to many activities, Champions have often been a topic of hot debate — which has now escalated during Season of the Lost as thousands of Destiny 2 players are demanding drastic changes to the current Champion system. One Guardian shared their feedback in a detailed Reddit thread which began with some harsh criticism of the current Champion system: “I’m just going to come out and say it, Champions are the s**ttiest game design answer to difficulty and challenge that I have ever seen.” Despite the harsh intro, they immediately offered up a two-part solution to the current Champion problem. “If [Bungie is] going to keep this system, artifacts shouldn’t contain Champion mods,” they suggested. The poster then explained their own alternative to the current system: “Every weapon should have have an additional mod slot [for] Champion Mods, and in that slot I can use whatever Champion mod I want, and not take away from mod slots on armor.” In addition, the player offered up a balance check that Bungie could implement: “Restrict certain mods to certain [weapon] archetypes, but still allow the use of all the archetypes at once. They could even vary that by season, but this system needs to be more flexible.” The post has garnered nearly 7k upvotes at the time of writing, showing that a significant portion of the Destiny 2 community feels the same way about the current implementation of Champions and Champion mods, and want to see a change. Despite the strong show of support, there were also plenty of responses that argued in favor of the current Champion mod system, pointing out how rotating mods help to shake up the game’s meta each season. It certainly seems that Destiny 2 players are quite torn over the state of Champions and their associated mods, but it remains to be seen whether Bungie will tweak the mods, or the Champions themselves, in the Witch Queen or beyond.

Destiny 2 players call for the return of the Tribute Hall: “Remember what they took from us” – Dexerto
Destiny 2 players call for the return of the Tribute Hall: “Remember what they took from us” BungieDestiny 2 players have called for the Tribute Hall to make a return to the game as Guardians have sorely missed the unique location for its damage-testing and sandbox capabilities. Bungie’s massively popular looter shooter Destiny 2 has seen leaps in bounds in success since its origin. The title, now in its penultimate expansion, has a large sandbox for players to mess around with including plenty of weapons and armor, exotics, subclasses, and more. Dedicated players are able to carefully craft builds of their choosing, allowing for powerful combos to take down those who oppose them. The developers have doubled down on this build crafting aspect, allowing players to create nuanced builds that help them differentiate themselves from their peers. One such place where players were able to test out their new builds was the Tribute Hall, a location that was introduced back in Season of Opulence. Here players were able to test their builds out on various dummies placed around the zone which showed damage numbers. Unfortunately, the Tribute Hall was removed in Season of Arrivals and has not been added to the game since. This has caused many players to call for it to return, as it was the only way players could test potential builds in a fixed environment. Destiny 2 players wish to see Tribute Hall returned in-game The Tribute Hall hosted a dummy of each enemy type, as well as each enemy rank. This meant players could test damage against bosses, majors, or even regular enemies. Since being removed, there has been no reliable way to accurately test damage in a controlled environment. Many players wish for the Tribute Hall to make a return, despite the location not making any more sense lore-wise. “I get that the tribute hall doesn’t make sense lore-wise, but we could have gotten an actual replacement.” the post states. “Remember what they took from us…” another user mourned. Other players are frustrated at Bungie for making players use Bright Dust to upgrade the Tribute Hall, only to have it pulled away. Bright Dust can be earnt in-game and used to purchase items that would otherwise cost real money. “Remember how they charged like 12,000 Bright Dust from us to unlock everything, only to delete it later?” a user commented. The Tribute Hall is still out of the game at the time of writing. But with the return of the Leviathan in Season of the Haunted, there may be a possibility Bungie factors in the Tribute Hall’s reappearance in the lore. Until that time, however, Guardians may have to make do by shooting some floaty circles.

Destiny 2 players call for serious changes to “rancid” weapon class – Dexerto
Destiny 2 players call for serious changes to “rancid” weapon class BungieDestiny 2 players want High-Impact Frame Auto Rifles buffed believing the weapon class needs some “serious changes” to make the archetype worth using. It’s no secret that Auto Rifles see plenty of use but one weapon type has remained largely neglected by the community, High-Impact Frame ARs. Also known as ‘360s’, these slow-firing rifles have struggled to gain popularity with them often not being competitive, especially in PvE. Upset by the state of these weapons, a Destiny 2 player stated, “360 autos still feel and perform terribly. they need some serious changes.” The Reddit post then expressed, “It’s no secret that 360s just flat out suck. like really hard,” criticizing the Frame’s poor handling and slow fire rate before branding them the “worst feeling weapons in the game.” Considering the options, OP proposed, “They just need to go. like completely converted,” believing that all High-Impact Frame Auto Rifles should either be changed into Lightweight Frame ARs (450s) or 390s. This latter fire rate was exclusive to Vex Mythoclast before it was nerfed in Season of the Witch. Agreeing with the post one user replied, “Making them 390s will greatly help them, its one of the reasons why Vex felt so good back then.” The criticism of 360s continued with another player saying, “According to Bungie, and on paper it seems like they should be awesome, but I’ve got a crafted Age-Old Bond that I just cannot perform with in pvp or pve,” before claiming Bungie’s “secret sauce went rancid,” when creating this weapon frame. Further detailing where High Impact Frame Auto Rifles struggle most, a different player explained, “…they need more help in pve than in pvp, i always felt they hit quite well in pvp as far back as the one from season of arrivals. in pve they always felt like they dont do enough damage per shot to normal enemies compared to their faster firing sisters.” Though High Impact Frame ARs aren’t in a good place right now a buff could save them similar to the Hand Cannon overhaul that made Destiny’s most iconic weapons meta again.

Destiny 2 players call for rework to “frustrating” Eververse Engram system – Dexerto
Destiny 2 players call for rework to “frustrating” Eververse Engram system BungieDestiny 2 players have complained about constantly getting duplicates from Eververse Engrams and have called for a change to the reward system. Destiny 2 based its gameplay on the successful formula of the original Destiny game, introducing more exotic quests and rare loot for players to grind for, with cooler-looking armor sets and weapons than ever before. Bungie locked some of the more extravagant loot behind difficult-to-beat raids, or dungeons – and some of it behind exclusively behind the Eververse store, like weapon and armor ornaments. With some of the most coveted items locked behind Bright Dust and Eververse Engrams, players grinded hard to complete seasonal challenges and earn them. But some Destiny 2 fans are fed up with getting duplicates from the engrams, and “useless” ghost projections, and are calling for a change to the reward system. Destiny 2 fans aren’t happy with Ghost Projections or Duplicates One player in particular had enough of receiving items that they didn’t want from the engrams, and, in a Spider-Man meme format, complained: “Stop giving us duplicates in Eververse engrams.“ The post gained traction in the Destiny 2 community as players agreed that they were often left disappointed by the rewards they were given: “They should make the duplicates convert to bright dust at least, like why would I claim an emote that I already have lol,” one player mentioned. Others, while still bothered receiving duplicates wanted more changes implemented to the reward system, like the removal of ghost projections: “They can massively improve it just by removing ghost projections altogether. FROM THE GAME. Like who even uses them or even buys them,” the Destiny fan complained. While players have been holding out hope for a change to the Eververse engram, many don’t think the change will be implemented based on the belief that ghost projections and duplicates are used to dilute the loot pool. However, despite the negative sentiment surrounding the engrams many players are happy with the state of the game, especially now that fan favorite Handcannon Thorn is being buffed to become a “PvE Monster.“

Destiny 2 players call for major Exotic class item Pathfinder overhaul – Dexerto
Destiny 2 players call for major Exotic class item Pathfinder overhaul BungieThe Pathfinder system has proved divisive among the Destiny 2 player base, with some in the community believing the system needs a serious overhaul. One suggestion for how Bungie might do this has received universal praise online, and many have called for it to be implemented immediately. In a post on Reddit, one player shared how they believed that Pathfinder could be improved if the reward at the end was a roll on the Exotic class item rather than the Ergo Sum sword. This suggestion makes a lot of sense, as players would still be able to farm Ergo Sum by completing Overthrow daily. It would also give players a chance to farm the Exotic class item without having to regularly team up with a friend. The Dual Destiny mission has courted controversy among the community, with many lamenting the need to complete it in a team of two. Responses below the original post were united in their positivity, with many desperate for Bungie to waste no time implementing the player-suggested change. One said, “Actually the best suggestion I have seen on this topic. Sorry if others have already recommended in comments before, but this would be welcome.” Another added, “I concur, we have multiple ways of earning Ergo Sums till they are coming out our a*s, but only one miserable way and one less miserable way to get our class items… Bungie, please make this happen…” The only possible caveat that some put forward is that this doesn’t address the perceived issue with the amount of RNG involved in farming both Ergo Sum and the class item. One said, “The Class item’s problems won’t be fixed by more slot machine pulls. The abysmal RNG of 64 combinations creates inventory bloat and material sinks. “It’s gotta change. Aeon style and mod knockout. The Pathfinder WOULD serve as a great avenue for unlocking these, though. As opposed to random chests.” Whatever Bungie does end up deciding to do, there are a lot of players out there who haven’t even managed to secure the Exotic class item, let alone a God roll.

Destiny 2 players call for Guardian Games overhaul amid 2024 struggles – Dexerto
Destiny 2 players call for Guardian Games overhaul amid 2024 struggles BungieDestiny 2 players have called for an overhaul to Guardian Games, asking for the event to focus on subclasses over classes instead. Guardian Games in Destiny 2 is supposed to be an epic battle of every class to see which is the strongest each year. Unfortunately, this is only what happens in theory, as the event has consistently struggled with balancing due to the game’s uneven player distribution among classes. Even in 2024, Titans have taken over the event, completely decimating the others thanks to the new focused activity. In previous years Bungie has tried to make changes that would assist less popular classes from losing out, but this seemingly hasn’t been as effective as they would’ve liked. Now players are calling for Bungie to overhaul the event completely, looking to focus on the Guardian’s subclasses instead. Destiny 2 player requests revamp of Guardian Games One player proposed that instead of focusing on Warlock, Titan, and Hunter, the devs focus on Solar, Void, and Arc. This could potentially help solve the imbalance between classes whilst revitalizing the event. Stasis and Strand would not be available for this iteration of the event in order to ensure players without the DLC can still participate. Players would be able to choose which subclass they’d like to represent at the start of the event, meaning they aren’t limited to only using one throughout the event. This potential revamp isn’t without its flaws, however, as one player theorized that Solar would become the instant favorite. “Solar, as an element, is broken AF no matter how good, bad, fun, or boring the subclasses themselves are,” they claimed. Solar is arguably one of the strongest light subclasses in Destiny 2, offering buff effects like Restoration and Radiant, whilst providing handy burst damage with Ignite and Scorch. It’s unlikely the event will see any revamp or overhaul anytime soon, with major expansions Into the Light and The Final Shape being worked on currently. And given the end is in sight for the first saga in Destiny, this is no doubt a low priority among the grand scheme.

Destiny 2 players blown away by “most fun piece of content” Bungie has made – Dexerto
Destiny 2 players blown away by “most fun piece of content” Bungie has made BungieThe Final Shape is here and it has served as the incredible conclusion to Destiny’s decade-long Light and Darkness saga. At the end of the campaign is a new repeatable activity that some are labeling the best piece of content ever added to the game. The Final Shape’s campaign is an epic race against time that sees Guardians race against time to stop the universe-ending machinations of The Witness. The subsequent raid saw fireteams push the entity back to its Monolith, with one final promised confrontation to come. That came in the form of Excision, a new repeatable 12-player activity. As well as being the first time a group that large has been able to team up (without glitches), it is also an experience on an immense scale that pushes the boundaries of the game’s aging engine. Over on the official Destiny 2 Reddit page, many in the community have heaped praise on the event. Some have gone even further, calling it the “most fun piece of content” Bungie has produced. Many joined the conversation, with one saying, “Absolutely the most fun I’ve had in Destiny in all my time playing! So much fun seeing all the allies helping, talking over comms, and absolutely kicking the s**t out of the boss! The final cutscene is stunning!” Another added, “They really saw what we did with the 12+ man raid glitch and went, ‘I’m gonna cook these fools hard.’ And so they did. I want more of this Bungie. Get Remy to pull your hair and cook more.” What comes next for Destiny is unclear at the moment but a live stream scheduled for June 10 should shed more light on the next year at least. Rumors of Destiny 3 continue to swirl, though no official word on that yet.

Destiny 2 players blast Hunter for “making Trials miserable” – Dexerto
Destiny 2 players blast Hunter for “making Trials miserable” BungieDestiny 2 players have called on Bungie to reevaluate the strength of Hunters’ Storm’s Edge Super and Prismatic subclass in Crucible and wider PvP activities. Twilight Arsenal, Song of Flame, and Storm’s Edge arrived with The Final Shape, granting a third Super option for Void Titans, Solar Warlocks, and Arc Hunters respectively. All three have been received positively, but the latter has come under fire for being too potent. The rub, on this occasion, is that Storm’s Edge, owing to its mobility and ability to instant-kill Guardians, has been too tough to counter. “This is the stupidest Super they have ever made and I do not understand how in the same breath they will just nerf 13 items on Warlock to make Hunters an even more forgiving class. I’m over it,” came one irate comment on a Reddit thread questioning Storm’s Edge power. “Surely Bungie saw this happening in the first few weeks of the Season and in Trials,” came another, adding “Why wait until Iron Banner to address? I don’t think my controller can hold up for much longer.” While it didn’t single out Storm’s Edge specifically, Bungie acknowledged on Twitter/X that it had received feedback on Prismatic Hunter – which has access to the Super – but had no “exacts on tuning just yet.” Destiny 2’s premier PvP activity Trials of Osiris, has been singled out by some as particularly problematic thanks to Hunters’ strong overall kit. “It’s making Trials so miserable that my tolerance is about one card worth of games. Last week was so horrible that I gave up after less than 10 games. Three stacks of Prismatic Hunters spamming Decoy, Smoke, Swarm,” one player lamented. “I play nothing but Hunter. Normally I defend our shenanigans, but I absolutely can’t stand Prismatic Hunter,” another admitted, adding, “I’m talking PvP here, but whose bright idea was it to give them literally three lane-blocking abilities?” The discourse around Hunters follows hot off the heels of Warlock nerfs, specifically to rein in the potency of Speaker’s Sight. It remains to be seen how Bungie will address these complaints, but expect to hear more in a future This Week in Destiny address.

Destiny 2 players blame “mind blowing” DLC prices for looter shooter’s decline – Dexerto
Destiny 2 players blame “mind blowing” DLC prices for looter shooter’s decline BungieFollowing the Bungie layoffs and leaks that Destiny 2 is not meeting internal targets, the looter shooter’s playerbase has pinned the blame on its expensive DLC scaring newcomers off. It hasn’t been a good week for Bungie or its employees with reports emerging that the Destiny 2 developer laid off 100 jobs, roughly 8% of its entire workforce. Matters only worsened when leaks surfaced that Destiny 2 is projected to miss revenue targets by 45%. Staff reportedly pushed higher-ups to make the necessary changes beforehand but nothing came of it. This news followed CEO Pete Parson’s statement describing the fired employees as “truly talented people.” Looking for the cause of Destiny’s decline fans are now pointing the finger at the looter shooter’s steep DLC prices and complicated structure. Destiny 2 DLC blamed for its downfall Looking to provide Bungie insight on why Destiny 2 isn’t performing as well as expected, one player shared on Reddit: “Bungie if you want to know why your revenue is shot, maybe look at how you price DLC in steam…. Seriously try explaining all this to a new player. This is mind blowing.” Accompanying the post is an image of the full DLC section for Destiny 2 on Steam featuring fourteen different pieces of content with a combined value of $564.86. Comparing Destiny 2 to another live service game, one player replied: “This is something WoW realised. Now they have two products. The subscription, which gets you every expansion except for the newest one, and then the newest expansion itself. That’s it.” “At any given time, it’s $100 to buy the current content and $100 to buy the upcoming content. That doesn’t include any old parts of the game. Imagine being a new player and seeing those price tags. Maybe revenue is half of what Bungie projected for a reason,” remarked another critical player. A handful of the responses given defended Bungie highlighting that a lot of the DLC listed on Steam is not required to get the full experience. If a new player purchased the following DLC they would have access to all of Destiny 2’s live content: That totals 5 DLCs for a combined cost of $310. Technically, The Final Shape is only required to use the Tessellation Exotic Fusion Rifle so New Lights can pass on that to save money. Many in the community still view this as being a steep cost to get into Destiny 2 and it’s not clear how a newcomer is supposed to know which DLC to buy in the first place.

Destiny 2 players blame last-generation consoles for vaulted content – Dexerto
Destiny 2 players blame last-generation consoles for vaulted content Unsplash / BungieDestiny players have been upset that DLCs they previously bought are unplayable, placing the blame on Bungie’s catering to last-generation consoles. Bungie released Destiny 2 in 2017 and has been continuing to add content to the game since then, introducing major DLCs like Forsaken, Beyond Light, and in 2023 Lightfall. Players enjoyed Lightfall and the completely new subclass, Strand, that it introduced, but wished they still had access to the now-vaulted full Forsaken DLC, which was one of their favorite additions to Destiny 2. The community, upset at the absence of so much content in the game that they used to enjoy, placed the blame on last-generation consoles for all of the vaulted content. Destiny 2 player places blame on PS4 and Xbox One for DCV One Destiny 2 fan, in a post that gained traction in the community, was upset with Bungie’s decision to place content in the Destiny Content Vault (DCV): “We are almost exactly 10 years from the launch of the PS4 and Xbox One. It’s time to leave them behind.“ The player expressed their wish that Bungie would leave behind the last-generation consoles after the next DLC, The Final Shape, hoping it will improve the game: “I REALLY hope the next expansion is the last for that generation. Earlier this week, Gladd said Bungie introduced the DCV primarily because of these last-gen consoles.” The person referenced a podcast, with popular community creators like Gladd and ManoDestra, where they talked about in their opinion what might have caused the Destiny Content Vault. Whilst players on newer generation consoles or PCs agreed that it would be nice to have Bungie leave behind the older consoles, they reminded the community that it likely wasn’t a viable option: “On one hand I agree it’s been plenty of time & games as a whole should move on to not being held down by 10-year-old consoles, but realistically with Bungie’s current situation it wouldn’t make sense for them financially to cut out that portion of the playerbase, ” one fan said. “How to kill the game’s population in one quick move!” Another fan agreed. Some fans also questioned the legitimacy of placing the blame for the DCV on last-gen consoles, placing their faith in the Bungie developers despite the content creator’s statements: “These posts are the worst. Developers are more than capable of deciding when it is time to leave behind last gen. If they haven’t done it yet it’s likely for good reason.” Players also worried that The Final Shape expansion might be delayed due to layoffs at Bungie, however, in a recent press release there was no mention of a delay to the DLC release.

Destiny 2 players bewildered why temporary Raid fix isn’t permanent – Dexerto
Destiny 2 players bewildered why temporary Raid fix isn’t permanent BungieA patch headed to Destiny 2 aimed at alleviating issues with Salvation’s Edge Raid Triumphs not unlocking properly has left players puzzled. The bug, which prevented Triumphs in Master versions of The Final Shape‘s Raid from being completed even when requirements were met, meant players were locked out of their rewards. While Bungie admitted in a Reddit post that it wasn’t able to retroactively credit affected players who previously completed Master Challenges “at this time,” the developer compensated with an alternative. Come weekly reset on July 23, all Salvation’s Edge Challenges will be available for seven days rather than rotating in availability. Bungie apologized for the inconvenience caused, but many questioned why the bonus period wouldn’t be a permanent fixture. “Can we just leave all challenges active at all times?” came one response that continued to suggest the normal rotation model was “purely for engagement purposes” and “player unfriendly.” “I’ve never understood the time-gating of challenges/content,” came another. “All you’re doing with this garbage system is DISCOURAGING people from playing,” they continued. Others branded the compensation as “absolutely not acceptable,” and queried how having every Challenge available for “ONE mere week” was enough. “How exactly should this compensate for the fact that we have already done almost all of them?” the same user probed. Others questioned why retroactive completions of bugged Triumphs couldn’t be awarded. “The API tracks that the challenge has been completed. The API tracks the Master encounter that has been completed. How can you not tell they occurred at the same time?” Considering the fallout from Bungie’s initial statement, the developer may revisit the issue after considering feedback. The patch for Salvation’s Edge is scheduled to go live with July 16’s weekly reset, though the aforementioned unlocked Challenges won’t be available until one week later, on July 23.

Destiny 2 players bewildered after discovering The Drifter’s VA in Starfield – Dexerto
Destiny 2 players bewildered after discovering The Drifter’s VA in Starfield Bethesda/ BungieDestiny 2 players have been left absolutely bewildered after discovering the voice actor of The Drifter in Bethesda’s new sci-fi RPG Starfield. Bethesda’s newest entry into the RPG genre comes in the form of Starfield, a sci-fi celebration that takes players on a journey through deep space. Bethesda’s RPGs are often known to have sprawling worlds, filled to the brim with quests, NPCs, and enemies to take down as you progress through the story. With the number of NPCs running around, Bethesda employs voice actors from all over to fill the world with personality and life. Players can often recognize certain talents just by the sound of their iconic voices, regardless of what game they may be playing. And that’s exactly what happened to Destiny 2 players while trying out Starfield recently. Reddit user R_Da_Bard was wandering through the massive universe of Starfield when they came across a rather familiar voice. One from another beloved sci-fi shooter. Bard happened to come across the voice actor for The Drifter in Starfield, who was playing the role of Fast Hoang. It was particularly easy to tell this was the Drifter’s voice thanks to their iconic delivery. Though, no Hive were on the field here. This player was immediately taken aback by the voice, pausing for a few seconds to register what had just happened. And it seems most of the Destiny 2 community agreed that the character didn’t match the voice, resulting in a bizarre combination. “The voice doesn’t sound like it’s in the right body,” one commenter claimed. “That’s so f***ing weird to hear lol, just doesn’t seem to match the face,” another agreed. Fortunately, as one player mentioned, Starfield offers mod support, meaning players can swap around Fast Hoang’s model with a slightly more cunning Hunter to better suit the voice provided. Perhaps we’ll even see The Drifter himself venturing into the world before long.

Destiny 2 players berate “useless” Legendary Shards change – Dexerto
Destiny 2 players berate “useless” Legendary Shards change BungieBungie has confirmed that Legendary Shards will be removed in Season 23, but not everyone is happy with the change with many Destiny 2 players questioning what the benefit is and others dreading what it could mean. Once Season 23 arrives, all Legendary Shards will be deleted as confirmed in a TWID posted on September 14. Ever since they were introduced Legendary Shards have been a crucial part of Destiny’s economy. They are used for various transactions such as purchasing Exotic gear, focusing weapons & armor at vendors, and can even be traded in at Rahool for large amounts of Glimmer. However, with Legendary Shards set to be removed, there are concerns that it could leave the Destiny economy in a less than ideal spot. Legendary Shards being deleted upsets Destiny 2 community Frustrated by the announcement that Legendary Shards are being removed one player posted on Reddit: “In my opinion, I think frankly it’s a useless change, it won’t do anything to the game, and if they replace it with anything it could potentially be a pain to grind it to reasonably buy anything.” OP continued on to describe the decision as “very odd,” not understanding why Bungie would make such a decision at this stage when some players already have over 20,000 Legendary Shards saved up. The main concerns Guardians had were how the change would affect Destiny’s economy: “There better be a hell of a lot more ways to get Glimmer. Prepare to always be low on Glimmer, with no easy way to get it.” “Only good if that means Glimmer is the default currency, with a raised cap,” another like-minded player responded with a different reply following up “I’m against this unless the cap is ridiculously high.” A particularly skeptical user replied: “This is probably a way to keep engagement up. No doubt they’ll introduce another mechanic that requires more frequent or consistent play to make up for the lack of Shards. Or they’ll starve us of Glimmer by making everything take Glimmer.” Bungie’s justification for removing Legendary Shards is it believes they are an “unstable,” part of the economy that is difficult to balance new content around. It also admitted that the frequent “loopholes,” and exploits related to Shards played a role in the decision.

Destiny 2 players beg Bungie to save Trials by fixing “miserable” flaw – Dexerto
Destiny 2 players beg Bungie to save Trials by fixing “miserable” flaw BungieWith Trials of Osiris’ player count dwindling the Destiny 2 community has implored Bungie to take action and make one change to fix what they believe is the mode’s biggest problem. In The Crucible there is no doubt that Trials of Osiris is the pinnacle of skill and rewards. Not only does the competitive PvP mode have its own unique loot but encourages players to go flawless and never lose. This unforgiving format has previously seen players slam Trials for being inaccessible. Bungie has tried making changes to improve this like introducing Checkmate but even that received mixed feedback. Now the community has rallied to identify the mode’s real problem that Bungie needs to fix if it wants Trials to become more popular. Destiny 2 PvP players blame loot for Trials of Osiris decline Taking to Reddit and identifying Trials’ biggest problem, one player posted, “The player pool in Trials of Osiris has taken a nosedive and is really hurting the mid to lower-mid skill player base. It will only get worse without change. The main issue: LOOT.” Elaborating further, OP continued, “…this game mode is incredibly stingy with drops, which discourages average to below average players from even playing. I shouldn’t be getting 100x more loot from a single half hour Coil run than a Flawless Trials card.” Others were quick to agree with one highly upvoted comment reading, “At the end of the day, if you want more players it needs to be less of a zero sum game. Losing has to carry rewards. And winning should have even more rewards. Win or lose, we should be getting showered in drops and engrams.” Two other similarly minded players replied, “Double loot needs to be the base amount of loot (for trials); especially since it’s on wins only anyway,” and “Loot is ass, matchmaking is dog sh*t, and no new maps in 25 years. It’s bound to die.” While this was the consensus, not everyone agreed, “You can absolutely demolish me with loot and I still just don’t care to play it. The majority of players don’t stick around because it’s fundamentally not any fun for them. Loot isn’t worth shit if you have to be miserable to get it.” Truthfully, there is no easy fix to making Trials popular again with Destiny 2 being designed first and foremost as a PvE game, not PvP. Even so, the community remains hopeful a solution can be found.

Destiny 2 players beg Bungie to remove currency caps: “Let us play the damn game” – Dexerto
Destiny 2 players beg Bungie to remove currency caps: “Let us play the damn game” BungieFestival of the Lost has returned to Destiny 2, and while the community has largely been enjoying Beyond Light’s spin on the festivities, the event also has players up in arms once again over the game’s currency caps. Destiny 2‘s fall celebration, Festival of the Lost, returned to the looter shooter for another year in Beyond Light — albeit with some significant differences from previous iterations. Bungie’s new take on the Halloween-themed event has been well-received, with players praising the move away from the Haunted Forest, and plenty of Guardians decking themselves out with spooky new masks and Dino armor sets. Despite the mostly positive reception, the event has also highlighted an issue that remains a major point of contention for most Destiny 2 players: currency caps imposed by Bungie, which many players argue are annoyingly arbitrary and completely unnecessary. Destiny 2 players outraged over Spectral Pages limit As Festival of the Lost’s first week drew to a close, Guardians took to social media and voiced their concerns about the age-old currency limit issue, highlighted once again by a cap on the Spectral Pages that players must earn in order to progress through the event. “[I] just did a 3-hour Gambit grind only to find out Spectral Pages cap at 75,” one player shared on the Destiny 2 subreddit, before wondering “Who knows how many [more pages] I missed out on?” The post then slammed Bungie over their decision to limit the number of Spectral Pages players can hold at one time: “Stop putting a f**king cap on everything. Glimmer, [Legendary] shards, [planetary] materials, and a thousand other things. Just stop.” “Let us play the damn game how we want,” the player begged, before ending their post, “If I want to get 200 pages and then turn them in, just let me do it for f**k’s sake.” Guardians want Destiny 2 currency caps removed The Destiny 2 community came out in droves to support the player’s feedback, with plenty of other Guardians voicing their own concerns about currency caps — event-related or otherwise. “I think one of the worst caps is Glimmer, when Ascendant Shards cost 50k and the kiosk weapons are all above 100k,” one response read. “If [Bungie] could raise the cap to 400k, even that would be nice.” Another played called out the limit on Tier 3 Umbral Engram focusing — something that was implemented after Season of the Lost began, to overwhelmingly negative feedback. “Capping T3 Umbrals that aren’t even high stat [rolls most] of the time was the ultimate d**k move.” Currency caps have been a pain point for players since the days of Destiny 1, and 2021’s Festival of the Lost has once again shown a spotlight on the highly contentious issue. In the meantime, make sure to keep an eye on the number of Spectral Pages in your inventory so you don’t lose out on event progress.

Destiny 2 players beg Bungie to nerf “tedious” bosses that take forever to kill – Dexerto
Destiny 2 players beg Bungie to nerf “tedious” bosses that take forever to kill BungieDestiny 2 players are desperate for Bungie to nerf two of the bosses found in the Ghosts of the Deep dungeon believing that their health pools are far too big. Ghosts of the Deep was released on May 26, just a few days after Season of the Deep. Themed around the Hive it challenges players to delve into Titan’s methane ocean to stop a disturbing ritual. Completing the dungeon and its three encounters is worthwhile with Ghosts of the Deep offering some of the best loot in Destiny, including the Cold Comfort Rocket Launcher and The Navigator Exotic Trace Rifle. However, not everyone agrees that those weapons are worth the effort with the dungeon’s bosses being deemed too hard to kill by many Guardians. Destiny 2 players want Ghosts of the Deep dungeon bosses’ health reduced Ever since its release, vocal Destiny 2 players have been pushing for the Ghosts of the Deep bosses to be nerfed, but now the community is ramping up and begging Bungie to take action. A Reddit post imploring the developer to make changes reads: “Bungie, I am begging you: Nerf boss health in Ghosts of the Deep. I just spent 2 hours trying to solo this dungeon. The first encounter and Ecthar were not that bad, even if Ecthar’s health pool is stupidly high.” The post continues: “Then came Simmumah. My first attempt was going great, almost at half health in 4 damage phases in about 45 minutes. Then I died. Both in-game and a little IRL,” and later affirming “I don’t understand why a dungeon boss has to have this much health.” Several Guardians agreed that nerfs are needed with one replying: “The shield + huge health pool is stupid and a bit unnecessary tbf. There’s 100s of weapons in game and you can only complete this in a realistic time solo if one of your weapon slots is taken by Arbalest. Such a dumb idea.” Not everyone fully agreed with the post’s sentiment though: “Her health isn’t really the problem, it’s the overshield. She only has about 8 million base health, but the shield adds about another 650k with each damage phase.” Another player theorized why the bosses have remained unchanged: “We’ve been begging for a good month now, I don’t think they care. An hour to kill the boss is an hour you likely wouldn’t have played otherwise, so as far as they’re concerned they’re squeezing more playtime out of you and that’s all that matters” The most upvoted suggestions on how to improve the bosses involved a health nerf, the removal of shields, or health scaling that changes based on a fireteam’s size. Only time will tell if Bungie opts to implement any of these ideas.

Destiny 2 players beg Bungie to fix matchmaking exploit ruining Trials of Osiris matches – Dexerto
Destiny 2 players beg Bungie to fix matchmaking exploit ruining Trials of Osiris matches BungieAn old Destiny 2 matchmaking exploit has now found its way into Bungie’s revamped Trials of Osiris, and players are desperate for a fix to the issue that’s ruining games for those on the receiving end. After struggling to find its footing inside Destiny 2 for more than a year, Trials of Osiris received a massive overhaul from developer Bungie in another attempt to revitalize the playlist — and this time, it seems to have worked out splendidly. Despite the massive success, Trials has hit a few snags in its second weekend during Season of the Lost, including the resurgence of something most players would rather leave behind: a game-breaking exploit that hands out free wins to the team using it. Disclaimer: we will not be detailing the exploit, and players should not make use of any unintended matchmaking functionality, as this is a bannable offense per Bungie’s Code of Conduct. The issue first reached the wider Destiny 2 community when popular content creator ‘GSXRClyde’ shared a clip of himself and his teammates encountering an opposing team that used the exploit to rob them of a 5-1 Trials victory. As they prepared to enter the final round of that match, the streamer’s squad noticed that the enemy team had started behaving strangely. “Maybe they’re trying to do some funny s**t to not take a loss,” Clyde speculated. Immediately after, both the streamer and his teammates received a network error message and were booted from the game, followed by a “match incomplete/early quitter” warning — intended for players who intentionally quit a competitive match before completion. Finally, as the cherry on top, the enemy team was handed a free win on a silver platter in what should have been a 5-1 blowout in favor of Clyde’s fireteam. This just happened @Bungie @Cozmo23 pic.twitter.com/daPWdxbros — GSXRCLYDE (@GSXRCLYDE) September 18, 2021 “[We were up] 4-1 and they sauced us,” Clyde remarked, before continuing “so they got the win.” The clip ended with Clyde imploring Bungie to resolve the issue: “We need to fix this, now.” While sharing the footage on Twitter, the creator also tagged Bungie’s main account and a Destiny 2 community manager to raise awareness of the issue and push for a quick fix, with other players also detailing that they’ve seen it pop back up. This glitch has appeared in Destiny 2 before (plaguing the Competitive playlist in previous seasons), but this seems to be one of the first instances of an encounter with the exploit inside the revamped Trials playlist — and the replies to Clyde’s tweet made it clear he wasn’t alone. At the time of writing, Bungie’s team hasn’t responded to that tweet or otherwise addressed the clip, but it’s likely they will work to get this exploit fixed as soon as possible, in order to prevent further instances of it occurring during Trials of Osiris matches.

Destiny 2 players beg Bungie to buff neglected Exotic Glaives – Dexerto
Destiny 2 players beg Bungie to buff neglected Exotic Glaives BungieDestiny 2 players are calling for the three class-specific Exotic Glaives to receive huge buffs which would take them from being essentially irrelevant to legitimate options in the PvE meta. The arrival of Season 16 and The Witch Queen DLC saw three new Exotic Glaives introduced into Destiny. These were the Edge of Concurrence, Edge of Action, and Edge of Intent. All three Glaives are gotten through either the Evidence Board on Mars or by completing runs of The Wellspring. However, it’s debatable whether doing so is worth the time, with none being viable options in the current meta. Now Destiny 2 players are calling for these forgotten Exotics to receive some needed love and they’ve got an idea of how to make them relevant. Destiny 2 community calls for Exotic Glaives to get anti-champion perks Guardians are calling for the three Exotic class-locked Glaives to each be given an anti-champion perk in an attempt to make them worth using. A Reddit post proposing such an idea expressed: “Hello. I am here to bring you the truth. The class locked exotic glaives should each have an intrinsic anti-champion perk. Change my mind,” using the classic meme to make a point. The suggestion was largely well received with responses including “Bungie Plz do this. This is a great idea OP,” and “That, is a great idea. Would instantly give dead Exotics life.” As for which anti-champion perks each would get the most upvoted reply requested: “Warlock gets barrier, Titans get unstop, Hunters get overload.” While the idea was popular some players doubted it would be enough: “Slapping any anti champion intrinsically does not make the glaives instantly good/fixed. It needs to do additional exotic-like features in addition to said anti champ abilities…” Outside of the calls for new anti-champion perks, several Destiny 2 players also believe it’s time for the Exotic Glaives to get a catalyst. More specifically, a customizable catalyst similar to how Vexcalibur – another craftable Glaive – already works.

Destiny 2 players band together in Gambit to honor memory of fallen Guardian – Dexerto
Destiny 2 players band together in Gambit to honor memory of fallen Guardian BungieThe Destiny 2 community has banded together to play the Gambit game mode as Thundercrash Titans in order to honor the memory of a Guardian who had recently passed away. Bungie’s sci-fi looter shooter Destiny 2 is easily one of the more popular games at the moment. The galactic FPS has seen massive success, with the developers Bungie at the forefront of the game’s development. Many players have hopped on board to try Destiny, particularly with the game going free to play and the release of the Lightfall expansion. As a constantly online game, one of the stronger aspects of Destiny 2 is its community. With a shared love for the game, the community of Destiny 2 has always been passionate about various topics within the titles. Often times community members are sharing memes, opinions, and advice with others. Whether it be facing the strongest foes in LFG raids or just messing around in the tower, it’s always a great feeling to see your fellow Guardians out and about. Sometimes the community in Destiny 2 goes far above and beyond the game, offering to help out players with real-life issues or banding together to assist others in the scene. As a recent example, a Guardian called for the Destiny 2 community to come together in commemoration of a friend who had recently passed away. Destiny 2 community joins together in commemorating fallen Guardian A Reddit user asked the Destiny 2 community for help in honoring the memory of their friend Derek Hartz. Hartz was described an avid Titan main whose favorite super was the Arc Thundercrash. Unfortunately, on June 13, 2023, Hartz was murdered, according to the post. This news gained traction across social media as players have since rushed to play Hartz’s favorite mode of Gambit as Arc Thundercrash Titans in his memory. “He was a Titan main, the Superman super one. I’m asking that all Titans please play a game of Gambit with that super in his memory. Gambit was his favorite mode in the game. We used to grind the heck out for Mal back in the day and help people get the gun. His striker Titan and my Kamehameha Warlock all day,” the post reads. Piccolo is hoping that Hartz gets a kick from seeing all of the Destiny 2 community take down Primevals with his favorite super. “D, if this works, I hope you get a kick out of seeing Titans flying all over the gambit maps and maybe this lock might be able to cope with you being gone,” Piccolo continued. You can donate to Derek’s GoFundMe page here.

Destiny 2 players baffled by ridiculous Ace of Spades cheat – Dexerto
Destiny 2 players baffled by ridiculous Ace of Spades cheat BungieDestiny 2’s PVP modes have been infested with hackers for a while now, but there are very few cheats as potent as this one for the Ace of Spades, which turns the iconic handgun into an unstoppable killing machine. The Ace of Spades is a staple of the Destiny franchise and remains a popular choice in the game’s PVP arenas. The gun packs a powerful punch in its six-round chamber and features a respectable 140 rounds-per-minute fire rate. While it already sits towards the top of the mountain in terms of pick rate, its potential is elevated much higher when a cheat ramps the fire rate up over four times the intended speed. This clip over on the Destiny 2 subreddit shows just how devastating the gun is when it gets uncapped. Destiny 2 Ace of Spades Cheat In the middle of an Iron Banner game, one player had the misfortune of running directly into an enemy guardian who was clearly hacking. In the clip, SpideR crosses from the garden and into the grotto before spotting an enemy. By the time they land two shots of their own, it was already too late. There was no escaping the enemy’s barrage of bullets. Cheating isn’t a new issue for Destiny 2, but examples like this have been shockingly common in recent days. One commenter shared their thoughts on how this clip represents the state of the game as a whole: “He’s #1106 in Trials and #253 in Comp, this tells me it’s safe to assume every player above him is also hacking.” There’s also a fear that cheats like this may be showing up more often because word about them is spreading throughout the community. Another user on the thread seemed to recognize the cheat that was being used. “The mod that person is using is called “Aries” it’s considered a low-level mod, you’re in control of the RPM (600 max) and Bungie’s new anti-cheat won’t catch it since the player can turn it off/on during the game.” Destiny 2 has been getting a lot of things right recently but cheats like this are a scary prospect for the game’s PVP future.

Destiny 2 players baffled by “dumb as hell” Grandmaster issues – Dexerto
Destiny 2 players baffled by “dumb as hell” Grandmaster issues BungieGuardians have been unable to unlock or gild Destiny 2’s Conqueror title since The Final Shape’s launch, baffled over the lack of diversity in Grandmaster Strike rotations. Conqueror requires completion of several Strikes on their hardest difficulty in a single season before claiming the accolade. As of the weekly reset on August 21, only six Strikes have appeared in the rotation, with three yet to be included. In previous seasons, players were able to tick every objective by week seven of a season, though likely due to the extended duration of Episodes, this is no longer the case. Compounding the issue further is the lack of diversity in available Grandmasters. Liminality and Exodus Crash have come and gone twice each within a month. Consequently, Bungie has been accused of time-gating Conqueror for no other reason than to prolong engagement. “This is the dumbest GM rotation ever,” vented one player on Reddit, adding, “Bungie just cannot stop f**king up.” Echoing the frustrations, another lamented, “So we only have two GMs now. This game has never been deader.” “Not only is it stupid, it’s carefully engineered so you get gilded Conqueror for as little time as possible,” another suggested. Bungie has been known to manually change the weekly Grandmaster Strike as a direct result of feedback from the community, but no such action has been taken this time around. To say nothing of Conqueror being unobtainable, several Adept weapons exclusive to GM versions of Strikes also haven’t been farmable as a result of the repetitive rotation. If players are to hear anything about plans to address the issue, they’ll likely be delivered via Bungie’s TWID post. Destiny 2’s next major update, Episode: Echoes Act 3, arrives on August 27 and will include, among the usual seasonal content, an Exotic Mission.

Destiny 2 players baffled as premium event cosmetics only last 3 weeks – Dexerto
Destiny 2 players baffled as premium event cosmetics only last 3 weeks Destiny 2 players are thoroughly confused over why the Festival of the Lost’s paid cosmetics only retain their Light Power for three weeks and what is making Guardians purchase them in the first place. To celebrate this year’s Halloween festivities Bungie brought back Festival of the Lost. While improvements were made such as the introduction of top-tier reissued weapons some issues have remained. One of the biggest complaints about the event is the variety of microtransactions attached to it. Especially in regard to Event Cards which have remained a controversial inclusion in Destiny 2 since their introduction. However, Destiny 2 players have become even more frustrated by the premium mask overrides that despite being purchased with real money only remain useful for the duration of the event. Destiny 2 Festival of the Lost mask ornaments only last 3 weeks despite costing Silver Irritated by the state of Festival of the Lost’s premium masks one player posted on Reddit: “It still baffles my mind how Bungie can charge real money for a mask that can only be used for 3 weeks.” “Yes I know there is a lot of variety there however, after the event (if you can call it that) is over then the mask becomes zero power and you are not able to use it again, even if you purchase one of the masks from Eververse you won’t get a chance to use it,” they continued explaining the problem. Festival of the Lost mask ornaments from previous seasons cost 300 Silver each. That’s the equivalent of roughly $3.00 USD each although the cheapest Silver bundle players can buy is 500 Silver for $4.99 USD. Once the event ends these masks are power-capped and therefore have limited use. Agreeing that something should change one player replied: “Bungie have found a way to charge for basically everything at this point. I knew the moment people just accepted their bullsh*t transmog system without any sort of pushback, they truly can do whatever the f**k they want and get away with it.” The most upvoted comment placed the blame on Destiny’s playerbase instead: “That’s not what’s baffling. What’s baffling is why people buy sh*t like this and that they really have no place better to use their money. Start a savings account. Invest in CDs. ANYTHING.” A handful of players defended the paid masks: “It’s supposed to be special, just for the event. A lot of people look forward to it. I know I do. You have some spooky fun for a few weeks, and then it goes back to normal. It makes the event feel more special that way. Just like IRL Halloween.” While the consensus was mixed most Destiny 2 players seemed against the idea of time-limited paid cosmetics. Although this is a small part of a much larger discussion regarding the looter shooter’s business model that will continue for some time.

Destiny 2 players baffled as devs swap featured dungeon just a week before next update – Dexerto
Destiny 2 players baffled as devs swap featured dungeon just a week before next update BungieA recent announcement by Destiny 2 developers has stumped players, as the devs have swapped the featured dungeon to Prophecy “based on player feedback”. Destiny 2 has hit a bit of a standstill. With delays to the highly anticipated The Final Shape, players are just kind of sitting around waiting for the new content to be released. Season of the Wish is still very much ongoing, but there’s no new story content relating to the Season, meaning there’s no reason to log in aside from the typical grind. Bungie has tried to incentivize players to continue hopping into the looter shooter, even offering Bright Dust each week. Alongside this, the devs have put out improvements to existing modes, like new rewards for Crucible and more recently a revamp to the Prophecy dungeon. This revamp will see the loot pool being changed with 3 new weapons cycled in to replace old ones. Coming in update 7.3.5, the changes will come in about a week, which is why many players are confused about Bungie’s recent announcement. Destiny 2 devs confuse players by changing featured dungeon Bungie Help announced that they would be changing the featured Dungeon this week to Prophecy. “Based on player feedback, the featured Dungeon this week has been changed to Prophecy.” This baffled players as many knew the dungeon would be receiving a loot pool update next week, achieving the complete opposite effect for players. “Huh? Aren’t the Prophecy changes next week? This achieves the opposite effect, where now we have to wait 5-6 weeks to get farm the new prophecy weapons,” a player questioned. “Changes to prophecy scheduled for next week, proceeds to change the rotating dungeon to prophecy the week before,” another player confusingly enquired. There’s no telling what Bungie is currently cooking up at their studio, but it’s definitely left players dazed and confused.

Destiny 2 players ask Bungie why beloved strike hasn’t returned this season – Dexerto
Destiny 2 players ask Bungie why beloved strike hasn’t returned this season BungieDestiny 2 players are asking for the return of a classic strike instead of grand master versions of Battlegrounds. Strikes in Destiny 2 feel like a bit of a lost art. While one or two are added around expansions, they have begun to feel rarer and rarer. Bungie seems to prefer seasonal Battlegrounds instead. So much so, Battlegrounds has now started to become Grand Master Nightfalls themselves. That’s proven to be a little controversial, but at least the Vanguard playlist is getting a decent amount of variety every season. While we don’t get Strikes all the time, we do get Vanguard activities every season. However, Season of the Deep brought back Titan. The planet had been previously vaulted and with its content tied to it. However, now it’s back, some players are feeling the gap of a once iconic strike. Players want Savathun’s Song back In a Reddit thread, user Lord of Abyss suggests a reprised version of the Titan-based Strike Savathun’s Song should have accompanied Season of the Deep. At the time of writing it has 2k upvotes. One user said: “Yea that’d be way better than another battleground gm.” While another joked: “Still have thorn nightmares”. This is about a unique version of Savathun’s Song towards the end of the questline to get Thorn. It was notoriously very difficult. The strike is one of the darkest in the game’s history and was a bit of a fan favorite. It would have been amazing to see it return with Titan. Of course, this is easy to ask for. A lot of work would have had to have been done on the Strike to get it working in the current iteration of Destiny 2. While it’s easy to hypothesize, it’s entirely likely other content from the season would have been cut for the reprise. On top of that, it’s not clear if Titan will stick around past the end of the Lightfall cycle so that investment just might not have been worth it. Hopefully one day we will be able to dive into the depths of Titan once more with the Strike. For now, the massive Shrieker will remain in slumber.

Destiny 2 players argue that Pale Heart Lost Sectors are too long to be worth it – Dexerto
Destiny 2 players argue that Pale Heart Lost Sectors are too long to be worth it BungieDestiny 2: The Final Shape introduced a brand-new location called the Pale Heart, which features lost sectors similar to other regions. However, players feel that these Lost Sectors are way too big to be worthwhile. Lost Sectors in Destiny 2 offer valuable rewards if you complete them at higher difficulties. This mainly includes high-stat armor and new exotic armor that cannot be farmed from anywhere else. However, the Lost Sectors in Pale Heart are way too big, and players feel they are not worth completing even for the new rewards. High-difficulty Lost Sectors take time to complete as the enemies are harder to kill and Champions are added into the mix. Additionally, exotic rewards aren’t guaranteed either, and you might have runs where nothing drops from the final chest. If the Lost Sector is too big, you will spend a lot of time for absolutely nothing. This is one of the issues that plague the Neomuna Lost Sectors, and the same can be said about the Pale Heart. In fact, Master Rahool also received a rework that made farming exotics a lot easier and more efficient. As such, players feel that the Pale Heart Lost Sectors are not worth the effort because of the inconsistent rewards for time invested. Several of them expressed their frustrations on Reddit, with one complaining, “No reason to touch lost sector anymore ever.” Another user chimed in about Rahool’s utility, claiming, “Is there any reason to run them after Rahool’s rework?” The recent Lost Sectors in Destiny 2 were created with the story in mind, as they are tied to the campaign. These Lost Sectors have multiple sections, mechanics, and dialogues that delay the clear time. Once you bump up the difficulty, the clear time is further affected in a significant manner. Destiny 2 The Final Shape has introduced several new features, including Prismatic subclass and Class item exotics. This means there is a lot to farm for, and players simply do not want to spend time on things that do not offer value.

Destiny 2 players aren’t completing “awful” seasonal Exotic quest – Dexerto
Destiny 2 players aren’t completing “awful” seasonal Exotic quest BungieSeason of the Deep saw the Whetstone Exotic mission added to Destiny 2 but a lot of players still haven’t completed it with many disliking aspects of the quest’s design. On July 4, Bungie added a new Exotic weapon to Destiny 2 called the Wicked Implement. It’s an Exotic Stasis Scout Rifle that can be obtained by completing the Whetstone Encounter. This tricky Exotic quest involves depositing all three broken blades and then clearing a time-restricted encounter where the final boss has a massive amount of health. It is regarded by many as the hardest Exotic mission Bungie has ever released. A downside to that difficulty is that numerous Destiny 2 players are not completing the mission and being given the chance to use Wicked Implement. Destiny 2 players are ignoring Whetstone Exotic mission A lot of Destiny 2 players aren’t completing the Whetstone encounter Exotic mission, according to a Reddit post on r/DestinyTheGame. The post asked the community how many players have not managed to finish the Exotic mission and for what reason: “Genuine curiosity, how many people here have NOT completed this season’s Exotic mission? Curious to see some answers here.” One highly upvoted comment replied: “Tried a couple of times LFG. Got nowhere near. Haven’t bothered since. IMO it’s not that fun and I just don’t care enough.” Another Guardian responded: “I got it 2nd try. The mission is awful, the gun is terrible. Not worth the trouble at all. Got the catalyst as well, have 0/700 on it. Vaulted it, never touched again.” One of the most common reasons players don’t like the mission is that failing forces you to start over from the very beginning: “It’s f**king AWFUL. Having to do 2/3 of a Deep Dive to retry every single time makes me want to join the Witness.” Not everyone agreed the mission was poorly designed though: “Mission is actually fun if you have 3 people with a plan and an understanding of what to do.” Bungie has been under pressure to deliver more challenging content ever since players complained about The Last Wish raid being too easy. However, finding a balance that satisfies both casual and core fans has proven difficult.

Destiny 2 players are loving “dumb” new Sparrow Control Crucible mode – Dexerto
Destiny 2 players are loving “dumb” new Sparrow Control Crucible mode BungieDestiny 2 players have expressed their love for the new Sparrow Control Crucible which brings vehicular chaos to the PvP mode. Destiny 2 is in a bit of a quiet spot at the moment. With the delay of The Final Shape, there isn’t too much to do at the moment in terms of the story. Season of the Wish has completed its narrative arc, with the story team trying to create new experiences for the players to undergo in the interim. With the next major expansion releasing in June of 2024, players have quite the wait ahead of them before they get their hands on anything new. However, Bungie had an ace up its sleeve, a new PvP game mode that was originally a bug, now realized in its full form. Destiny 2 players express love for new Sparrow Control mode Players have fallen in love with the new game mode, pointing out how “dumb” the premise of the mode is. As the name implies, Sparrow Control is simply the Control mode, but with Sparrows and vehicular manslaughter. You can hop onto your Sparrow during the mode and mow down anyone in your way. But be warned, your Sparrow isn’t invincible, and gets easily taken out with enemy gunfire. “Things like this are what the crucible needs (and proper balance)” one player complimented the mode. Many Redditors adored the player’s choice of playing a chonky Titan on the tiniest Sparrow possible. “Mini sparrow for the W” one commented. “BREAKING: fat titan causes massacre with moped” another announced. Some players suggested that Bungie should invest in bringing modes like this more often and creating larger maps that allow for vehicular combat. “It’s almost as if it would really cool to add the big maps that allow us to drive different vehicles. Seems players are enjoying this game mode.” The limited-time mode will be rotated every so often, so make sure you hop into the mode to try it for yourself and grab the unique medal.

Destiny 2 players are losing it over “unfair” Grandmaster Nightfall – Dexerto
Destiny 2 players are losing it over “unfair” Grandmaster Nightfall The weekly update brought with it a new Grandmaster Nightfall, but Destiny 2 players are not having a fun time labeling the new GM as “unfair,” due to one particularly frustrating mechanic. Each week in Destiny 2 sees Bungie introduce a variety of new content, guns for sale, and a fresh rotation of the featured raid, dungeon, and Nightfall. Nightfalls are hard-mode strikes where players are challenged to complete missions, strikes, and seasonal Battlegrounds on an increased difficulty. Meanwhile, Grandmaster Nightfalls are even harder versions that many regard as the most difficult content in Destiny 2. GMs are supposed to be a challenge, but this week’s is so difficult that it has players questioning if it’s even fair. PsiOps Battleground GM branded “unfair” by Destiny 2 players Destiny 2 players have been complaining about the new Grandmaster Nightfall released alongside the June 27 weekly update, Psiops Battleground. Upset by the GM one player posted: “Challenge is fun. Past Nightfalls, even such as The Lightblade, had it. The last two Battlegrounds made into GMs? That is not a challenge, that is an unfair and tedious nightmare not worth my time.” Another fan responded by explaining what they believe makes the current GM so frustrating: “The only part that is genuinely bad is the final boss room. The one-shot lightning attack that can go through walls because it wants to is not fun or challenging whatsoever.” The mechanic described appears during the final boss, Savathûn. She is capable of shooting an Arc lightning attack that travels quickly in a straight line and can pass through walls. If it isn’t seen and avoided in time it can immediately kill you. One response did propose a potential solution: “Reduce your FPS to 30 FPS. Apparently, the lightning is suffering from that age old damage bug where the damage is tied to your fps. lowering your fps will lower the damage so it won’t one-shot you.” Others downplayed PsiOps Battleground’s difficulty, claiming older GMs were more challenging: “Early GMs were a lot harder and unfair lol,” and “I still wake up in a cold sweat over A Garden World GMs.” Bungie has been under a lot of criticism lately with some Destiny 2 players being disappointed by the seasonal Fishing Rally quest and the perceived neglect of PvP.

Destiny 2 players are losing it over Raid Exotics system and want big changes – Dexerto
Destiny 2 players are losing it over Raid Exotics system and want big changes BungieRaid Exotics are locked behind a once per week timegate and players think it’s high time for a change to the system. In Destiny 2, there are a handful of Exotic weapons that are exclusive to Raid rewards. Examples such as the Vex Mythoclast, the Fusion Rifle that drops at the end of Vault of Glass, are a constant source of contention among players. These weapons are meant to be rare drops and are not guaranteed to be awarded after every completion. Raid rewards are limited to a one-try per character every week. While three attempts at getting the weapon might seem like a lot, there are plenty of stories about players clearing 50 or more attempts before finally receiving the gun. Players have gathered on the Destiny 2 Subreddit to share their frustrations about the process of unlocking these weapons. Unlocking Raid Exotics in Destiny 2 Usually, these kinds of Raid drops are infused with a bad luck protection system. This would increase the likelihood that a player gets the drop for every time they’ve completed the event and not received the reward. Read More: How to unlock every Exotic item in Destiny 2 – While Bungie has implemented that system on some weapons, items like the aforementioned Vex Mythoclast do not seem to have any kind of protection at all. One user said: “I raided with a guy today, he had done 77 VoGs and not gotten it. We were doing three runs. On his 79th run, he got it. Guess I got 59 more to go.” Another replied: “Laughs in 53 attempts.” While the exact numbers haven’t been released by Bungie, a study done by Reddit user Pinnkeyy estimates the weapon to have a 3% drop rate over its lifespan. That means that each time a player attempts the Raid, there’s a 97% chance the weapon won’t drop. While this might be an effective strategy to keep players engaged with Raids, there people talking about being burned out before ever getting the reward. This has been a recurring problem in the community, but no alternative solutions seem to be unanimously agreed upon. Bungie hasn’t commented on any potential changes thus far, it could be something to keep an eye on as we draw closer to the release of The Witch Queen.

Destiny 2 players are getting their supers blocked by grapple in PvP – Dexerto
Destiny 2 players are getting their supers blocked by grapple in PvP BungieDestiny 2 players are creating chaos in PvP thanks to a bug surrounding the Hunter’s Threadrunner subclass and the Strand Grapple ability. Destiny 2’s Lightfall expansion brought with it the new Strand subclass, which many fans immediately fell in love with thanks to the insane feats it could pull off. Unfortunately, the class has not been without its share of problems, with bugs surrounding certain abilities like the Super Silkstrike melting bosses HP and the Strand grapple. Now, players have discovered another bug surrounding the Strand Grapple ability and some are using it to completely block other’s Supers during PvP matches. Destiny 2 PvP players take advantage of Strand Grapple bug A video by Destiny content creator Cheese Forever gained traction among the community after they demonstrated that the Strand Grapple’s points can actually completely block three different Supers. According to Cheese, “The grapple and slightly above it has some collision that will block Supers, similar to what Telesto used to do.” The three Supers that get completely blocked by the Strand Grapple points are the Titan’s Hammer of Sol and Warlock’s Chaos Reach and Nova Bomb. Thankfully, the Nova Bomb isn’t completely negated by the Grapple point, as it still explodes and sends its seeking fragments out at enemy players. Additionally, some fans in the video’s comments section have claimed that grenades are also blocked by these Grapple points, making the glitch even more intrusive. While the Grapple point only blocks a handful of Supers, it seems clear that this isn’t somethings that’s intended to happen and is likely just a glitch. Considering many players already think Strand is a fairly strong subclass, the fact that Grapple points aren’t working as intended could be a big problem in PvP. Hopefully, Bungie takes notice of this bug and phases it out in a future update.

Destiny 2 players are getting hate mail for using buffed Fusion Rifles in PVP – Dexerto
Destiny 2 players are getting hate mail for using buffed Fusion Rifles in PVP BungieDestiny 2 players have claimed they’re receiving hate mail for using the buffed Fusion Rifles in the game’s PvP modes like the Crucible and Trials of Osiris. Destiny 2 developers Bungie have some of the hardest balancing acts when it comes to tuning their game. Not only do they have a bunch of weapons subtypes, subclasses, and abilities to keep in mind, but they also need to ensure the game’s PvP and PvE modes remain somewhat fair. Not to mention the oft-overlooked Gambit. The Destiny 2 player base has been critical of Bungie’s handling of PvP previously, with the die-hard competitive community feeling left behind as the devs focused further on PvE. Bungie has since taken steps to rectify this issue, but the player base has remained somewhat dissatisfied with the state of PvP. Now, in light of some recent Fusion Rifle buffs in PvP, players have begun sending each other heated hate mail. D2 players recount receiving hate mail for using off-meta weaponry Reddit user Rheytos came forward to rant about the amount of hate they received while running a Fusion Rifle in Trials of Osiris. “Was playing some Trials this afternoon with my trusty Loaded Question. Since the changes, I noticed a clear improvement for the high impacts so felt like running those for a bit. But since I started maining fusions 2,5 years ago I must say that I’ve noticed an upward trend in hate mail,” the Redditor recounted. They continued explaining how they’ve noticed the amount of hate they’ve received for using the weapon archetype. “Today again I received a lot of hate for just using my fusion rifle. I know it can be quite the hardcounter to shotguns but I really don’t understand why people get so riled up. Never had anywhere near that much hate when using snipers or shotguns,” they explained. Other Redditors chimed in with their own experience in receiving hate mail, especially whilst using off-meta weaponry. “I’ve gotten hate mail for glaives, GLAIVES. People gonna be mad no matter what you do. Just keep using whatever you want,” a player exclaimed. “Whenever you use something meta you get hate, whenever you use something that’s off meta you get hate. Conclusion, people are going to bitch no matter what,” another agreed. There’s no telling if Bungie has a way to curb the amount of head being spread around the Destiny 2 PvP community, but with their newest IP Marathon on the way, it may be the breath of fresh air this part of the player base needs.

Destiny 2 Guardians are dying en masse to frustrating finisher bug – Dexerto
Destiny 2 Guardians are dying en masse to frustrating finisher bug Bungie Inc.Destiny 2 players are dying to a bug involving finishers causing frustration throughout the community. Destiny 2 is no stranger to bugs. The game has a long history of unintended glitches that have impacted the game in various ways. Some have helped players, some have hindered players, and others have been hilarious or game-breaking. Famously, Telesto is one of the buggiest guns in gaming, having been the source of many issues throughout Destiny’s history. It was so well known for it, Bungie even held an event to commemorate its terrible reign of glitches. There have also been other memorable bugs, such as the weekend when Prometheus Lens was one-tapping enemies in the Crucible. That became known as the Laser-Tag weekend, and Bungie even commemorated it with an in-game emblem. That said, not every bug is a fun ol’ time. In fact, some can be very frustrating and make you lose during activities at key times. Unfortunately, that seems to be the case this season as players have fallen victim to one particularly nasty bug during Season of the Deep. If you lock yourself into a finisher this season, you may have noticed yourself dying while in the animation. You would not be alone. Why are people dying to their own finishers? In a Reddit thread, user Enpoping edited together a compilation of them dying to this bug repeatedly. It has 1.8k upvotes at the time of writing, and many others have spoken about encountering this bug. It appears what happens is that if you go into a finisher on an enemy, but the enemy dies to another source before you can complete the animation, you die. This becomes an issue when playing with other players too. When two Guardians try to finish the same target, after the first player kills the enemy, the second player will die. That’s why so many of the deaths in the video are of the Guardian crushing Hive Ghosts. One user said: “I’ve died to finishers in this season more times than since they got added.” Another added: “It’s especially annoying in gambit when you have 15 motes and need to kill a blocker to bank them, but then die to the finisher.” Destiny is obviously an enormous and complex game. Bugs are bound to happen and are understandable to a degree. Hopefully, Bungie can fix this one though as it can hurt players in lots of endgame content which will lead to lost runs.

Destiny 2 players are begging Blueberries not to skip key Episode: Echoes feature – Dexerto
Destiny 2 players are begging Blueberries not to skip key Episode: Echoes feature BungieA key feature of Destiny 2‘s new Breach Executable activity has repeated a specific mistake of previous seasons and players are venting their frustrations. Introduced in Episode: Echoes, Breach Executable is the usual objective-based fare Guardians will be familiar with. The important distinction here is that, between each combat encounter, players can collect Radiolite from around the map. The resource can be deposited at the end of a run to earn additional rewards but isn’t necessary for completion. If any Fireteam member moves to the boss arena — pulling their teammates with them — before any Radiolite has been collected, it’s lost for good. Criticism aimed at Bungie for poorly signposting the optional venture has proven to be a chief complaint. In the absence of any changes, folks are flocking to Reddit to beg their fellow Guardians not to run ahead and skip what’s essentially free loot. “Hey guys, can I please collect some damn Radiolite?” reads one post. “At least 20 clears at this point, and every single time I smash Planetary Pistons, I get Joining Allies seconds later. Can I please collect them so we can all get more rewards?” they continue. Responses were in agreement. “It would help if the game actually explained WTF you needed to do,” came one reply, while another added blame squarely at Bungie’s feet. “Not enough sh*t gets thrown Bungie’s way for this, instead we’re blaming the community,” opined one blunt response, adding, “This is the second time Bungie has put a missable objective in a seasonal activity that speedrunning teammates cause you to miss out on.” The issue with Breach Executable mirrors Season of Plunder’s Ruffians — optional targets that granted Triumph progress and buffs — being skippable by hurried Guardians. Bungie hasn’t commented on the issue but in the meantime, if randoms are your only option, a solo-only version of Breach Executable is available. Do note, however, that this is only applicable to Expert difficulty.

Destiny 2 players are asking for key Raid feature in Dungeons – Dexerto
Destiny 2 players are asking for key Raid feature in Dungeons BungieDestiny 2’s dungeon loot system is currently under the microscope as players question why they can’t craft or focus their weapons. Dungeons are some of Destiny 2’s best content. Alongside Raids, they’re some of the most inventive and unique gameplay experiences, not just in the game, but the whole FPS genre. They bring so many back to the game each week, all in service of a good time and obtaining their loot. Many of the most beloved guns have come from these endgame activities throughout Destiny’s history, especially Raids. One Thousand Voices remains a guilty pleasure of many, Divinity from Garden of Salvation became almost mandatory at times, Anarchy was meta for years, and the newest Raid Exotic Conditional Finality is no slouch either. Especially as time has gone on, legendary weapons in Raids have become far more accessible. This is due to engram focusing and weapon crafting, which have allowed players to chase what they want and morph the weapons to fit their needs. For some reason, that hasn’t extended to most Dungeon weapons though, and players of the game are beginning to ask why. Players want to be able to craft all Dungeon weapons In a Reddit topic with over 800 upvotes at the time of writing, user 0rganicMach1ne asked, “Why are dungeons so inconsistent with the rest of the game?” As they go over, you can choose your rewards at the end of a Raid, and in most, you can craft the weapons after obtaining their power. However, they point out: “Dungeons still are left neglected with dated reward systems that are inconsistent with the rest of the game. They have neither focusing nor crafting and the older ones are not being updated. Two of them still don’t even have their own weapons.” One user said: “Not being able to focus dungeon rewards is infuriating. I don’t want another glaive and class item man.” Another added: “I get that raid weapons are usually top of the list, but dungeon weapons can and have been very far below them to where options in other areas like strikes are often better.” Strangely, some Dungeon weapons have been craftable like the Epicurean and Fixed Odds from Duality, but these were returning weapons. Hopefully in the future, players will have more choice in how to attain the Dungeon weapons they want.

Destiny 2 players admit Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League makes Bungie look “incredible” – Dexerto
Destiny 2 players admit Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League makes Bungie look “incredible” BungieDestiny 2 players have admitted that the release of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League makes Bungie look “incredible” in comparison. Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League has had a bit of a rocky start. The anti-hero live service title saw issues that plagued the game’s paid early access, with much of the internet having mixed feelings about the entire title. The game itself was already criticized for having a similar UI to Bungie’s Destiny 2, with the latter being one of the most prolific games as a service looter shooter available. Despite its popularity, Destiny 2 is still critiqued by fans, whether that be due to bad seasonal content or story plots feeling generic. The launch of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League has resulted in a newfound appreciation for the Destiny 2 developers, as players have begun to compare the two. Destiny 2 players compliment Bungie after launch of Suicide Squad Many Destiny 2 players have come together to share their appreciation for the developers who have kept the franchise alive for the past 10 years. “Every so often there is another juggernaut studio trying to get a slice of the Destiny-live-service cake and every time I think ‘this will prove that Destiny was always dirt-cheap and lazy!’” one Reddit post claims. “Every time I come out really humbled on the other side realizing just how many questions and problems about how to make Live Service that Bungie tackled gracefully… I think that’s incredible.” Other users chipped in with support of Bungie. “Destiny is the only AAA live-service game that’s actually working, and it’s been doing that for 10 years. All other live-service games with this level of production have failed one way or another,” one user typed. “Destiny was born different, no one else could just “make” a game like it no matter how hard they wished they could,” another agreed. With the future of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League left in the hands of players, only time will tell if another game can come close to rivaling Bungie’s success. Though its initial player count doesn’t inspire confidence.

Destiny 2 players accuse Bungie of “ruining” Altars of Summoning with modifiers – Dexerto
Destiny 2 players accuse Bungie of “ruining” Altars of Summoning with modifiers BungieDestiny 2 players are not happy after the latest gameplay modifier for the seasonal activity – Altars of Summoning – was revealed. This follows last week’s modifier that proved equally unpopular with both limiting Guardians. Season of the Witch has seen two new seasonal activities introduced, Savathun’s Spire and Altars of Summoning. Outside of the rotating secret chests and elemental surges, Savathun’s Spire remains similar from week to week. However, the same cannot be said of Altars of Summoning which welcomes a new gameplay modifier every week. These modifiers change how to approach the activity with some going as far as to punish certain playstyles and builds. It’s these gameplay modifiers that have been frustrating Destiny 2 players, with some going as far as to accuse Bungie of “ruining” the seasonal activity with them. Destiny 2’s Altars of Summoning “ruined” by gameplay modifiers Destiny 2 players have become frustrated by the Grounded gameplay modifier that is active in Altars of Summoning. One upset Guardian posted on Reddit: “I sure do love Bungie ruining their own activities through putting the worst possible modifiers on them.” The post elaborated: “Last week attrition, now this week with Grounded + Void Threat is even worse! Altars of Summoning is a great activity, please can it not be sabotaged with modifiers that actively make it a lot less fun?” Several replies agreed with the sentiment, questioning Bungie’s decision: “Bungie has demonstrated they can make something hard while still being fun. This is not it especially when you cram 7 Shriekers in the room and Lucent moths on every other enemy.” Some focused their criticism more on Grounded itself: “Bungie: Actively tried to make Aerial combat a thing and put perks on Exotic armor to help with it. Also Bungie: Keeps Grounded as a modifier.” The Grounded hatred continued with other Guardians stating “Suspend build Hunter with Grounded on is as fun as gliding your balls across sandpaper.” and “I can’t believe Grounded still exists.” Not everyone was as concerned by the modifier, but rather the lack of pay off: “If the intention is to ruin the activity with modifiers then the developers should buff the rewards to compensate. No one would complain about dealing with Attrition if they were showered in Red Border weapons.” Gameplay modifiers have been a long-standing feature of Destiny 2, serving to increase an activity’s difficulty and force players to adjust their loadouts. With some proving so unpopular though it might be time for Bungie to make changes.

Destiny 2 players accuse Bungie of lying after deleting Iron Engrams – Dexerto
Destiny 2 players accuse Bungie of lying after deleting Iron Engrams Destiny 2 fans are extremely upset after all of their Iron Engrams were deleted in Season of the Witch despite Bungie previously stating that they would carry over into the new season. Every playlist in Destiny has its own unique type of Engram which can be used to focus weapons and armor exclusive to that playlist. In the case of Iron Banner, it’s Iron Engrams that Guardians can farm. Iron Engrams are considered one of the hardest to obtain in large quantities due to Iron Banner’s limited runtime with it only being available three weeks per season. This wasn’t considered a big deal though as Iron Engrams carried over between Season 20 and 21, but Season of the Witch saw this revert back to the old system much to the irritation of many Destiny 2 players. Destiny 2 fans furious after Bungie resets their Iron Engrams The Destiny community is not happy at all about Bungie deleting Iron Engrams earned in Season 21. Many fans are accusing the publisher of lying after it previously stated Iron Engrams wouldn’t be reset. The Twitter post stating as such was posted on the official Destiny account in August 2023: “Be sure to clear out your stored Vanguard, Crucible, Trials, Gambit Engrams. Iron Banner, War Table, and Sonar Station Engrams will persist throughout Year 6.” One affected player sarcastically posted on Reddit: “Thanks Bungie for saying Iron Banner engrams would carry over and then not having them! I didn’t want my 50 engrams anyway!” Others joined in to voice their objections: “Dude, I’ve lost 200-300 Vanguard, Crucible, and HELM engrams thinking they’d carry over because they did last time. Which apparently was a bug and wasn’t meant to happen. Why not? And if not, why not auto-dismantle any unclaimed engrams into legendary shards?” Many seem to have been affected by this with responses like “Yes… I also lost many Iron Banner engrams… For real that sucks though,” and “I lost 30 and I was planning to finally focus Occluded Finality, good sh*t,” being among the most upvoted. Not everyone was as sympathetic: “Pretty sure that was a bad tweet. Saladin is considered a Tower vendor, not a seasonal vendor. Pretty sure in TWID Bungie specifically mentioned Tower/Ritual vendors were resetting and should be cleared out and that only Seasonal/HELM vendors would carry.” The TWID referenced was posted on August 17 where Bungie encouraged players to claim all Engrams as “non-seasonal vendors will be removed at the beginning of the next Season.”

Destiny 2 player jumpscared when a ship collides with them from underground – Dexerto
Destiny 2 player jumpscared when a ship collides with them from underground BungieA Destiny 2 player was jump scared when a massive Fallen ship suddenly collided with them from underground whilst exploring Europa. Destiny 2 is a huge huge game for players to mess around in. With multiple different planets and locations to visit, enemies to slay, and raids to complete, the sheer scale of the game is enormous. A massive sandbox like the one in Destiny can often mean bugs and glitches occur, as the several moving parts of the game can sometimes clash with one another in unexpected and hilarious ways. Oftentimes, the most notable quirks come as a result of the way physics can work in Destiny 2 and how certain units and vehicles interact with each other. For example one of the most infamous enemies in Destiny 2 are the Phalanxes who have the capability of knocking Guardians away with their shield. Due to the physics in Destiny 2 however, the knockback can be far more lethal, essentially one-shotting the Guardian by launching them to kingdom come. Another unit that can often have issues with the physics engine in Destiny 2 is the many ships the enemies pilot. The ships in Destiny 2 generally don’t interact with the player often, and when they do, it can result in rather buggy moments. One Guardian found this out the hard way when they were suddenly ambushed by a ship from underneath the ground during a recent session. Destiny 2 player accidentally unearths buggy Fallen Skiff Reddit user CheekyCheeks014 was exploring the Jupiter moon of Europa when suddenly the ground lifted from underneath them. It turns out that this wasn’t actually the ground and instead was a Fallen ship known as a Skiff. The ship, which was clearly not supposed to be in the ground seemingly had glitched and become stuck there, only to have Cheeks unearth it in a frightening manner. Cheeks was completely baffled as they dropped to critical health, amazed at the new strategy the Fallen had been cooking up. They stared in absolute awe as the very normal Skiff spun rapidly out of control and suddenly disappeared into the map once again. Truly a majestic sight.

Destiny 2 player highlights “tiring” cheating issues in multiplayer – Dexerto
Destiny 2 player highlights “tiring” cheating issues in multiplayer BungieAt its very best, Destiny 2 offers some of the best PvP and PvE shooter gameplay out there. Unfortunately, it has often been beset by significant issues, whether those are of Bungie’s own making or not. In the game’s myriad PvP modes, players always look for a slight edge over their opponents. Whether that be through finely tuned weapons or unique builds, all is fair in the Crucible. Unfortunately, some don’t consider that enough and choose to take their need for victory a step too far. There are several main ways that people cheat in Destiny 2. As with other shooters, some turn to aim bots or wall hacks to improve their targeting to inhuman levels artificially. Others use glitches to reach areas where they can’t be hit or to fly above the battlefield and rain down destruction. In a staggering example of the latter, one player’s experience underlines the scale of the problem on Bungie’s hands. Destiny 2 player killed by enemy flying above the map In a post on Reddit, one user shared a deeply annoying clip of a cheater flying high above the PvP map Vostok, killing them immediately after spawning. As if that wasn’t bad enough, they were killed by the same player straight after respawning for a second time. With the player way out of typical sightlines and capable of moving across the entire map in a matter of seconds, they had little to no chance of getting the kill first. Many responses to the post express dismay that this is such a prevalent issue so long after release. One said: “These guys aren’t even the worst. I’d much rather play against these guys who are CLEARLY cheating than against people using wall hacks, aim bots or Xim/Chronus with scripts.” Another suggests Bungie are failing to prioritize, saying: “They fucked over the Linux community, but can’t even keep cheaters out of their game. Considering how they treat the veteran employees it’s not surprising.” Though PvP isn’t for everyone, many feel as though the developer has failed to make significant steps to combat cheaters. With The Final Shape releasing in June, time will tell if the game’s conclusion brings substantial changes.

Destiny 2 player furious with Bungie over timegated Into The Light weapons – Dexerto
Destiny 2 player furious with Bungie over timegated Into The Light weapons BungieDestiny 2 players are furious at developers Bungie for timegating several of the reissued weapons coming with Into The Light, calling for them to reverse the change. Destiny 2 is reintroducing fan-favorite weapons from the past with Into The Light, and players are less than happy about it. The community has kicked up a fuss not about the weapons themselves, but the way Bungie has decided to release them, timegating them so that players would be forced to come back each week. This has been a common complaint among Destiny 2 players, with the devs using FOMO to incentivize players to keep coming back to the shooter. Now out of the 12 weapons being released, only six of them will be dropping with the Onslaught activity, with the others being slowly released each week, providing players incentive to rerun and farm the activity. Players are less than pleased with this form of FOMO and have lashed out at the devs for adopting this method. Many in the Destiny 2 community are calling for Bungie to completely reverse the decision about the new weapons. “Bungie, can we maybe reverse the decision to have six of the 12 new weapons timegated?” a top post on the Destiny 2 subreddit reads. Others have similarly lashed out, replying to the dev insight thread. “Yeah that’s ridiculous. The timegate is so pointless,” a user complained. “Leave it to Bungie to shoot themselves in the foot with absolutely useless FOMO,” another agreed. While the weapons themselves will still be available after The Final Shape drops, the limited edition variant of the gun will no longer be available after June 3, forcing players to hop into the mode while they’re still available.

Destiny 2 player dumbfounded by bizarre Heroic Public Event “reward” – Dexerto
Destiny 2 player dumbfounded by bizarre Heroic Public Event “reward” BungieA Destiny 2 player has taken to Reddit to share a video of the “reward” they received for completing a Heroic Public Event. Public events used to be a big part of Destiny 2, offering worthwhile rewards for completing wave-based activities on different planets and moons. Bungie took the decision to nerf the rewards on offer, and gradually, they have become primarily helpful for the completion of various bounties. Heroic Public Events are a more challenging version that can be triggered by completing specific mechanics during the normal Public Event. Though it increases the difficulty in a minor way, it is usually worth doing thanks to the better rewards on offer at the end. Now, one player has shared a post on social media documenting their personal misfortune as they failed to get the rewards they sought. Destiny 2 Public Event rewards a player’s effort with… nothing In a post on Reddit, the unfortunate Guardian shared the climax of their Ether Resupply Public Event on the Moon. After defeating the Prime Ether Servitor, they went to collect their rewards from the chest, which, upon opening, provided nothing at all. The community quickly shared their collective empathy for the situation and their broader dismay at the overall state of Public Events. One said: “Public events are a joke in this game. Ever since they nerfed the s**t outta them for people to stop getting Legendaries, there is literally no point to doing them. I swear they want to have more things in this game that waste your time than things that give you stuff.” Another agreed, adding, “It’s little things like this that really hurt Destiny. The lack of respect for time investment. Rewards have always been a problem for me. There’s so much stuff/loot in Destiny. Just having more things drop from places would make a world of difference for people.” Others suggested turning to the first Destiny game to look for solutions to the problem, saying: “I think D2 could take a look at how rewarding public events were in D1. High exp reward, 4-5 engrams (3-4 blues 1-2 legendaries), motes of light (could be replaced with enhancement cores). I think they have to at least guarantee 1 legendary world drop for normal, and 2 for heroic.” With the general disappointment in the Lightfall expansion abundantly clear, the pressure is on Bungie to correct course before The Final Shape. With that expansion set to provide the culmination of seven years of storytelling in Destiny 2, the pressure will be at an all-time high.

Destiny 2 player count increased in 2023 despite complaints – Dexerto
Destiny 2 player count increased in 2023 despite complaints BungieDestiny 2: Lightfall, has experienced an increased player count in 2023 compared to The Witch Queen in 2022. This is in the wake of disgruntled players who’ve been making noise about their dissatisfaction with the state of the game recently. In a recent Tweet, YouTuber Shadow posted a comparison between the number of players in Lightfall and The Witch Queen. As of April 29, according to Warmind.io, Lightfall had 1.1 million players across all platforms, whereas The Witch Queen had 806,900 during the same time period. This is an increase of around 300,000. Interestingly this revelation comes even though seasoned players have criticized Lightfall for being a disappointment. Despite the complaints, it seems, it hasn’t affected the number of players playing Destiny. Destiny 2: Lightfall is much more accessible than The Witch Queen Since its February release, Destiny 2: Lightfall has been under fire from players. The initial complaints arose regarding the story of the expansion, with many stating that it felt incomplete and failed to answer any questions regarding The Witness or The Veil. Some were also frustrated with the Root of Nightmares raid, saying that even the notoriously difficult Contest Mode challenge was too easy. It was completed in around two hours, had the highest ever clears in Contest mode, and now has had multiple solo flawless runs from the community. There’ve also been complaints regarding bugs, crashes, characters getting deleted, the poor state of Gambit, and much more. In fact, Destiny 3 started trending on Twitter towards the end of April, as players started to suggest that the game needed a sequel. However, these complaints have had little impact on the player count it seems. Though it’s impossible to say, the game becoming more approachable might be a contributing factor. In Lightfall, build crafting has become easier than ever since Bungie reworked the system. If you have a Warlock with a Starfire Protocol then you can excel at damaging bosses with Fusion Grenade spam. Grandmaster Nightfalls have also become more accessible since the power level requirement has been reduced. Lastly, some might be disappointed with Root of Nightmares when compared to Last Wish or Vow of the Disciple, but it’s a great introductory raid for new players. The accessibility makes it much easier to level up and take part in end-game content, especially for those who rely on LFG groups. All of this could help explain why the game is performing so well at the moment, even though there are loud complaints by certain players in the game

How many people play Destiny 2? Player count tracker (September 2024) – Dexerto
How many people play Destiny 2? Player count tracker (September 2024) BungieDestiny 2 has witnessed its share of ups and downs in terms of player engagement, but how popular is it today, and what is its active player count in 2024? The first installment, Destiny, launched in 2014 for PlayStation and Xbox, paving the way for the much-anticipated sequel, Destiny 2, which followed in 2017. The release of The Final Shape saw a significant boost in player numbers, with the expansion now in its third act, after a move away from the seasonal system of old. But have these changes been enough to keep Destiny popular and convince players to stick around? Here’s everything you need to know about how many people are still playing Destiny 2. Updated September 3, 2024, with player count information. Do we know Destiny 2’s active player count? Destiny 2 saw an average daily player count of 34,118 over the last 30 days, which marks a significant decrease from 62,149 in July and 123,023 in June, as tracked by Steam Charts. Destiny 2’s peak player count for June 2024 was 314,379, a humongous leap compared to May when the figure was just 116,100. However, both of these eclipse the current player count, with Guardians seemingly spending their time playing other games. Bungie’s looter shooter saw its all-time peak in February 2023 where it managed to attract an impressive 316,651 concurrent players. This is likely to remain the peak for some time, as recent mass layoffs at the developer continue to cloud the game’s future. Keep in mind that these numbers only reflect the player count of Destiny 2’s PC version. With the looter shooter first debuting as a console exclusive back in 2014, it has a substantial console player base that is not represented by Steam Charts. While you’re here, be sure to check out how Destiny 2’s player count compares to the player count of Valorant. You can even take a look at how many people play Apex Legends to get a real idea of how Bungie’s looter shooter compares to its competition.
